Because they have scrubbed his name, but what I find interesting is that we'll probably be able to tell where Trump's name has been scrubbed, making things feel even more incriminating than they might already or not necessarily need to be. Oh yeah, and Marjorie Taylor Greene and Donald Trump should be able to kiss and make up now that they're aligned on releasing the Epstein files, right? I mean, unless there's something more at play here under the surface. Because Marjorie Taylor Greene and Donald Trump are also now aligned on the whole Tucker Carlson Nick Fuentes front as well.
0:59I'm sure you've seen by now that Donald Trump was asked about Tucker Fuentes, and he gave them a neutral kind of endorsement. Take a listen to this. What role do you think Tucker Carlson should play in the Republican Party and the conservative movement? Well, I found him to be good. I mean, he said good things about me over the years. I think he's good. We've had some good interviews. But you can't tell him who to interview. I mean, if he wants to interview Nick Fuentes, I don't know much about him. But if he wants to do it, get the word out. You know, people have to decide. Ultimately, people have to decide.
1:29A few years ago, I did it with Nick Quentes at Mar-a-Lago a few years ago. What role should he play in the conservative movement? Well, I didn't know he was coming, and he was with, as you know, somebody, Kanye. And Kanye asked if he could have dinner, and he brought Nick. I didn't know Nick at the time. And he did. He came along with a few other people. He brought a few people with him. Meeting people, talking to people, like for somebody like Tucker, that's what they do. That's just what they do. I call that a neutral endorsement because he didn't exactly denounce Tucker Fuentes, even if he did not exactly give them a ringing endorsement either.
2:07It just goes to show that Trump's brain is still surprisingly functioning on survival instinct mode at least, because he's walking a pretty fine line here, even though I happen to believe that he's completely full of crap, because he damn well knows the dynamics of the Tucker Fuentes issue. And he also knows that if he says anything definitive about it either way, he's going to piss off one half of his fractured base or the other. The Sane Ride versus the conspiracy kooks. So he ends up talking out of both sides of his ass, just like any other slick politician deep state swamp monster ever did in the history of politics.
2:39Yeah, I'm just going to start calling Tucker Carlson and Nick Fuentes Tucker Fuentes at this point because these two butt buddies are now forever joined at the hip in the mind's eye of the public. Hell of a price to pay for an interview, huh, Tucker? But I'd have to say I agree with Trump to some degree, though. Let people interview who they want to interview and let the chips fall where they may, because that's kind of what free speech is all about. It's interesting, though, that Trump has always yammered on and on about this enemy within, and always in reference to liberal Democrats who are somehow intentionally trying to destroy America from within, from his perspective.
3:11It's a line that Trump lifted from talk show host Michael Savage, who himself lifted it from Roman Emperor Cicero, who famously said, quote, a nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious, but it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely. His sly whispers rustling through the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself." Right now, Donald Trump is learning that the enemy within that he should have been keeping his eye on was the enemy within his own party, just like what happened to him during his first term in office, where eventually and predictably everyone in his immediate orbit started dropping like flies one by one as they rebuked Trump publicly for being a petulant, obsessive, shallow minded, vindictive dolt that he is as a human being first and president.
4:01What they're trying to do with the Epstein hoax is get people to talk about that instead of speaking about the tremendous success like ending seven wars. Now, days like this, I kind of feel bad for the guy, to be honest with you, because I can actually see how the Epstein and the Tucker Fuentes debacles are just but mere distractions for his self-centered agenda. He just wants to be praised and it's the one thing he can't get from anyone that's not on his payroll or otherwise directly working for him and his cause. When the man who has everything he's ever wanted can't get the one thing he actually wants, we should feel at least a little bit bad for him on some level.
4:38Because Donald Trump to me in many ways is a daily reminder that I appreciate very much, that wealth, power, and fame at the highest levels do not necessarily bring any sort of sustainable satisfaction or meaning to your life. So I find myself asking all the time, why is Trump doing any of this? Do you realize what kind of hard work it is to be the president of the United States just to maintain their daily schedules and security routines? Trump should be retired with his feet up in the air, drinking a cocktail, thinking about how to spend some of that money in the funnest ways possible before he dies.
5:11But instead, he's spending his spray can golden years in the swamps of sadness that are Washington, D.C., fighting daily petty battles with his own rank and file conservatives now. This cannot be the party that he imagined returning to after losing to Joe Biden. Trump has more to fear from his own kind at this point than anything the incompetent left was able to stick to him, which is fascinating in so many ways because change always comes from within the movements themselves, not so much from external forces, Which, much like Cicero and the enemy within nations, the enemy within your own movement is often much more formidable than your clear opposition.
5:49Of course, I don't feel that bad for Trump, because this disaster within the party blowing up in his face right now is one of his own making. Like this picture of him walking past the American flag that's on the ground in the dirt at the White House. He's been so busy with his own stupid agenda that he's left his own house in chaos along with the rest of the country. The country's a giant disaster. His own party's a giant disaster. Every business he's ever run is a giant disaster. His personal life is a giant disaster. The people he chose to associate with, like Jeffrey Epstein, is a giant disaster.
6:21I wouldn't expect less from somebody who's never been told no in their entire lives and never had to face any real-world consequences for their actions because they're untouchable due to the size of their bank account. That's why a guy like Trump can't get anything to work, casinos that went bankrupt, an airline that never took off? Vodka that nobody drank? Steaks that nobody bought? A university that was a scam? A board game that flopped? A mortgage company that collapsed? Water and magazine ventures that vanished? A football team disaster? A charity shut down for fraud? What about infrastructure week that became a national joke?
6:53Or the COVID response that cratered? A border wall left unfinished? Mexico never paying a dime? No denuclearization of the North Korean Peninsula? a trade war that hurt America more than it did China, not to mention botched hush money schemes, hotels and branding deals that fizzled, truth social bleeding money, marriages that imploded, and a lifetime pattern of dishonesty, bluster, and claiming victory where none of it exists. Look, I understand why a lot of us conservative and libertarian types like to dabble in failure worship. Because it is important to try a lot of things, lots of different ways before you find the correct path, and for that you should persist through failure because anyone who's ever made anything of themselves has always had to push through that noise to ultimately find success.
7:36But at some point, there also comes a time where you need to listen to the universe and give up, man, to stop what you're doing because you've reached a point of no return where if you continue doing the same thing and expecting different results, you're in danger of becoming the definition and embodiment of insanity itself, which is where we land every single time with Donald. I'm very consistent. I'm a very stable genius. Look, we tried him once and he failed. We tried him twice and he failed yet again. He failed his country. He failed his party. And ultimately he failed himself and he knows it.
8:11Why else do you think he keeps talking about not being able to get into heaven over and over again all of a sudden? And he is going to make heaven. I said, I'm not sure I could make it. I don't think there's anything going to get me in heaven. I think that's a pretty, I want to try and get to heaven if possible. I'm hearing I'm not doing well. Donald Trump is so much of a failure right now that his own people have been realizing it ever since he set foot back into the White House because he changed significantly, which is extremely predictable for a clown like this. Trump got everything he was ever going to get from his own party and they got everything they were going to get from him too.
8:42Because like most presidents, they're all about kissing babies and making promises for the first four years. But when they get re-elected, there's nothing to lose by serving your own interests. Because there's no place but to go down from being the President of the United States. Which is why I feel totally confident in predicting that we're about to see many more of his so-called allies start to distance themselves from him gradually. Much as we just witnessed with Marjorie Taylor Greene over the last six months. I said on the show just yesterday that I wasn't quite sure which one of Trump's disciples was going to be next to turn on him.
9:14But Ted Cruz is one to keep an eye on. Donald Trump alleges that my dad was involved in assassinating JFK. This is nuts. I'm going to tell you what I really think of Donald Trump. This man is a pathological liar. He doesn't know the difference between truth and lies. He lies practically every word that comes out of his mouth in a pattern that I think is straight out of a psychology textbook. His response is to accuse everybody else of lying. But he combines it with being a narcissist. A narcissist at a level I don't think this country's ever seen. Now Ted Cruz is thankfully choosing sides on this anti-Tucker Fuentes thing, which is a good sign.
9:48But obviously he's starting to pivot for optics. Remember that he openly disagreed with Trump most recently over that FCC trying to get Jimmy Kimmel off the air. And if I noticed and remembered that, you can bet your ass that Trump noticed and remembers it, especially when you consider the turbulent history these two have had together. He's a nasty guy. People don't like him. Think of it. You're a United States senator. You have a lot of friends that are in the senator. or in his case he doesn't have any friends. Ted Cruz is a top candidate to denounce Trump publicly in my estimation pretty soon, and it's only a short matter of time before Trump's own cabinet members start jumping ship like they did in the middle of Trump's first term, when the only friend he had standing by his side by the end of that was Kellyanne Conway.
10:29It wasn't just a handful of bureaucrats slipping out the back door either. If you'll remember, one by one, some of the highest ranking officials in Trump's own government either resigned in disgust or came out later and said the guy never should be anywhere near power again. And by the end of his first term, his so-called best people had either left or gone on record saying that the emperor has no clothes, which is exactly why Ted Cruz peeling off right about now wouldn't be some sort of shocking twist. Gavin Newsom kind of looks like the next president if he can drop the woke bullcrap and focus on the economy.
11:00And Jon Stewart, of all people, is even thinking about tossing his hat into the ring from what I've seen, which could be interesting. Well, I mean, interesting but stupid. And nothing against Jon Stewart. I never miss a show. We do not need a comedian in the White House when we already have had this ass clown twice. At least Gavin Newsom is kind of boring and predictable. A lot like Joe Biden was, albeit younger. I'm pretty sure that Trump would not even be back in the White House right now. If the Democrats would have had any sense to use Gavin Newsom instead of Kamala Harris to run against him.
11:30I think America is ready for a woman president. but unfortunately we have yet to see one that's good enough for the executive seat yet. But Gavin Newsom could be in the middle of his second term right now if Democrats weren't so hell-bent on pushing unqualified, uncharismatic, and uninspiring women like they did with both Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton, who both have the personality, charm, and bedside manner of cocktail waitresses with bad attitudes. At least I might be able to see myself as buying a used car from Gavin Newsom. That's how I like to look at these people that we call leaders.
12:02Take these politicians down from the pedestals we place them on and look at them through the lens of who they remind you of in everyday life. It's a fun exercise. And in that sense, I could see Trump as a used car salesman himself, but probably one of those shadier lots on the other side of the tracks who makes people pay for crappy cars every two weeks directly with cash. Gavin Newsom, on the other hand, could probably sell you a Porsche or a BMW or a Mercedes, at least. Ted Cruz. Ted Cruz has all the charm and warmth of what I would imagine to be a morgue director who constantly tries to upsell you on coffins and urns.
12:32Who else? Marjorie Taylor Greene. I could see Marjorie Taylor Greene as a building contractor, probably because she is one. Wearing a hard hat and a tool belt, inspecting some carpentry with a notepad and a checklist. Who else? Speaker Mike Johnson. You know, I'm not even convinced that he's not Stephen Colbert, honestly. Have we ever seen those two in the same room together? Who else? Well, unfortunately, we're out of time today, So we'll have to pick up this game again some other time. Feel free to leave your suggestions. And until we can do it again, it's Newsweek Radio. I'm Jesse Edwards. Catch you next time.
