Because change only comes from within the movements themselves, and conservatives are long overdue to cut Tucker Carlson from their ranks like the intellectual cancer that he is. News Talk and Opinion with a both-sides-suck kind of agenda. It's Newsweek Radio. I'm Jesse Edwards. And did you see that the Heritage Foundation gave their blessings for this Tucker Carlson platforming yet another Holocaust denier? Cancel culture does suck, but sometimes it's called for when people who know better cross that line intentionally and repeatedly.
0:39Because now Tucker Carlson has a pattern of platforming Holocaust deniers. It is now even himself dabbling in anti-Semitic tropes publicly with this whole manufactured war between the Christians and the Jews happening on the right. Tucker and a lot of his followers think the Jews have a little bit too much of influence on the United States and is now rubbing elbows with dolts like our favorite Mexican white supremacist, Nick Fuentes. So my issue is that most folks see Fuentes and people like him for the sad, angry, incel Nazis that they openly claim to be sometimes. But the same can't exactly be said about Tucker Carlson, can it?
1:12Because Tucker Carlson knows better, and that's the difference here. But he's doubling down with it anyway, which is what makes him even more dangerous than anybody right now in the public discourse. Is it any wonder why Fox News canned this clown? I mean, they must have seen this coming. Between that and the Dominion lawsuit that cost over$787 million must have had something to do with it. Remember that one? Tucker's been going down the conspiracy rabbit hole ever since. Everybody knows that Nick Fuentes is a giant butthole. Now I think everybody needs to know the same about Tucker Carlson and the Heritage Foundation, apparently.
1:46Wow. Look, if you want to break bread with the devil, that's your thing. Just don't cry like a little bitch when the sane world treats you like the idiot you've become. Tucker Carlson sits down with Nick Fuentes. And now what's left of the sane half of the conservative movement is faced with an immediate identity crisis because they know that Tucker crossed the line and they don't want to lose any sleep at night because they didn't say or do anything to distance themselves from this ancient evil and asinine blame everything on the Jews' culture that we're all witnessing right now. Blaming Jews is the original cancel culture, and only surface-level intellectual scabs like Tucker Carlson would dare to double down on this.
2:21In September of last year, Tucker Carlson interviewed Daryl Cooper, famous in militant right-wing circles because of his Holocaust denial. And if you remember, he even went so far as to say that Winston Churchill, not Adolf Hitler, was the villain in World War II, not the hero. I feel like I'm channeling my inner Alex Jones here. Can you imagine saying something like that out loud? That Winston Churchill was the villain of World War II?
2:46These people are absolutely ruining the hearts and minds of future generations of young conservative men and women who believe these conspiracy theories hook, line, and sinker. Tucker Carlson is selling this crap to young conservatives who are just starting to become interested in politics. Same could be said for Alex Jones or Nick Fuentes or Donald Trump for that matter because the cold, hard reality is that Trump is the king of this bastardized right-wing cancer. This isn't conservatism. This is the manipulation of the mashes by a party that replaced God with the cult of Trump personality. The only hope we have is that there is nobody on the right, nearly diabolically manipulative or as wealthy as Trump himself, and in that sense, much of Trumpism should disappear with Trump himself.
3:30I'm sure many will try to reenact his bombastic narcissism, but all of them will inevitably fall short because nobody on this planet can follow an act like Donald Trump, except for, you know, maybe a sociopath like Zohran Mandami. No, it's not because he's Muslim. It's because he's so polished and well-spoken that I can't trust him. The same reason I don't trust most politicians, because when you meet these kind of folks in real life, it becomes immediately clear what an absolute clown show these people are putting on. And I'm not quite sure how often your average Joe gets into the same room with a politician like this, but for an ADHD introvert empath like myself, it's absolute torture being in somebody's presence like this because you never met a more fake person in your entire life.
4:09These people are trained on a weaponized level on precisely how to hold themselves, what posture to take, and how often to blink, breathe, and smile. And the big hang-up for me is that in person, that rarely looks or sounds close to anything that might be considered a relatively normal human interaction. I'm not a fan of cancel culture until people cross my personal red lines. And yours might be different, but I think it's wrong for us to pretend that they don't exist. Holocaust denial and Hitler worship just happen to be a couple of my red lines. I don't know, pushing the birth or conspiracy theory against Obama was my red line for Trump.
4:43I'm not even a fan of Obama. He's far too boring, sleepy, and socialist for my liking. I don't see you doing any better in the booty department. But he also didn't deserve the things that Trump was saying about him not being an American citizen either. Do you accept that President Obama was born in the United States? No, I don't know. I really don't know. I mean, I don't know why he wouldn't release his records. That's when I knew that the conspiracy right had taken a dark, dark turn, and I should know because I had a front row seat to the birth of the conspiracy right that I plan on telling everybody about at a later time because it's an interesting story and I might be the only one who can tell it from my perspective.
5:16Time will tell, I'll keep you posted if and when that develops. But this war on the right is forcing half of the right to be anti-racist right now, which is kind of fun to watch. As one side goes all in on Jewish space laser conspiracy theories, the other side is reluctantly tapping the brakes because they know this Nick Fuentes, Alex Jones, Tucker Carlson direction is the wrong one and they won't be able to live with themselves if they let these extremists take over the conservative movement entirely, similarly similar to what we saw happen on the left with the woke. And look, I really do not care if comparing wokeism to conspiracy theories is some sort of false equivalence apples and oranges scenario, because these apples and oranges are ending up on the same shelves together, brother.
5:55And we're all being asked to buy this bullshit. I don't know about you, but I for one refuse to take any part of it. And I know that a lot of you out there are starting to feel the same way that I do too. But this is the karma that the far right deserves for embracing the conspiracy crowd that got Trump elected. Trump is the conspiracy king. And from here on out, if the sane right is going to remain intellectually honest and consistent on this front, they must come to terms with the fact that there is no difference between Donald Trump and Alex Jones and Nick Fuentes or Tucker Carlson in the sense that all of these men are nothing but empty pseudo-intellectual opportunists.
6:26And look, I'm convinced that the only way to overcome this insanity is for us regular folks to band together to push back against the psychosis that seems to be attacking us on every front. I'm talking about this weaponized bickering back and forth about trivial issues like race and gender that do nothing but serve to marginalize and make the left look stupid to the rest of us. I'm also talking about this conspiracy culture on the right who thinks that Jews were behind Jeffrey Epstein and Charlie Kirk's murder and JFK's assassination for all that matter. Conspiracy theories that do nothing for the right but make them look equally as compromised intellectually as the left.
7:00And if you don't fit into one of those two categories that I just described, then I'm talking to you directly as one of us who are absolutely sick of the bullshit that appears in many ways as a coordinated effort by an unseen force that is pitting us against each other. I mean, is it Russia? Is it China? Is it the Mossad? Is it the CIA? Is it all of the above? I don't really think it matters at this point because nobody would believe you if you got to the bottom of it anyway. And if you don't understand how and why somebody like Alex Jones or Tucker Carlson or even Donald Trump himself could easily be Manchurian candidates or simple puppets of foreign powers, then I would suggest that your conspiracy theory game is rather weak to begin with, and you should just go back to playing video games in your mom's basement and leave the conspiracy theories to the experts.
7:43We don't let convicted felons do it even when they'd supposedly repaid their debt to society, so why do we let brain-dead simpletons who can't name the three branches of government determine which direction the country goes? And what about those people who are completely indifferent to politics that we mindlessly herd into the voting booths like cattle every election season? This feels like our government is still operating on Windows XP in a world that demands Windows 11 integration. And that can only happen in one way, which is absolute corruption. I mean, when you consider all of our academic prowess and industrial might and all of the generational wealth and work that's gone into building such a massive and complex system of checks and balances managed by the best and brightest American minds that humankind has to offer, how the hell did we exactly end up here?
8:28Look, I don't even care how it happened. and a lot of us would just simply appreciate some acknowledgement that the future we were sold in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s did not live up to anything that could even be considered close to the utopian future world of tomorrow that we were all promised. I remember being a kid of the 80s sitting there eating bowls of sugar in the form of cereal, as the television was constantly brainwashing us on Saturday morning cartoons that we could be anything we wanted to be, that there's nothing more powerful than the imagination, and that everyone in the future would have digital tablets that would change everything in the most positive ways.
9:01Well, we got the tablets, but our roads are crumbling and our buildings are falling apart. The dollar gets cut in half roughly every 27 years as the price of groceries and the cost of living in general doubles. Look, this is generational theft. And I think it's one of the main reasons why the powers that be have us fighting amongst ourselves on schedule so we don't focus our attention against them. The Tea Party knew this. Occupy Wall Street knew this. If those two factions would have joined forces, we would have been unstoppable. But then, you know, somebody on the left decided to poison their own well for some reason by letting wokeism take over, which gave way to extremist factions like Antifa.
9:35While at the same time, the right was busy poisoning its own well by platforming conspiracy theory peddlers that ultimately co-opted the Tea Party. Meanwhile, us centrist folks on both sides of the aisle are left standing here not able to believe a word that comes out of either side. And it often has me wondering if there is some sort of reset button on this country because the engineer in me says that we should turn it off and back on again just to see if it starts working. But in all seriousness, I am starting to believe that a reset button could exist, at least, you know, if everybody really wanted it to.
10:05Now, this is just a crazy idea, and I don't know if anybody else out there has ever floated something like this or done something like this before, but what if? What if we the people built a virtual government that eliminated the middleman by getting rid of Congress altogether? The executive and judicial branches remain intact, but the people get to represent themselves for a change. Maybe think of it a little bit like fantasy football, but all the people would be able to represent themselves as one vote, one person, no more electoral college. Now, in theory, if you built an online community like this over time, it could eventually have some real world impact.
10:43If it gained enough momentum at first, it could be seen as a powerful lobbying group for the voice of the people and in its fullest form has the potential to let the people replace our outdated Windows XP form of government with an up-to-date operating system. A virtual America 2.0 where we represent ourselves and nominate our own candidates for the White House. I mean, comparing government to Windows XP at this point is generous because everybody in DC and the entire way the machine currently operates is more like the Pony Express, where our esteemed representatives act as if we need them to physically take our votes with them to Washington on horseback because nobody has the means or time to do it on their own.
11:19Well, welcome to the age of technology, sir. We don't need you to represent us anymore, so we could just start building the system around you if you're not careful. And if there are any billionaires out there listening to me right now that would like to fund this project, hit me up. I'm easy to find. But for now, we're out of time. It's Newsweek Radio. I'm Jesse Edwards. Catch you next time. Bye. And we say bye-bye. Newsweek Radio is a member of the Trust Project.
