In short
The episode is a live Steelers training-camp style discussion that mixes NFL practice talk with guest interviews. It opens with Browns head coach Todd Monken explaining why Shador Sanders received first-team reps in a Saturday walkthrough, saying he expected Sanders with the ones but “guys grabbed” him after seeing Sanders had gotten extra reps the prior days; the hosts argue the explanation is confusing and that media deserves clarity on starting QB reps.
Guests
- Drew Allar (Penn State quarterback; now with the Steelers). He discusses working with QB coach/coach staff, learning detailed footwork, learning from Aaron Rodgers’ cues (film pressures, pre-snap eyes, re-keys), and his bottom-up pre-snap process (play clock, defense front, backers, safeties). He says success is finding his role, contributing to Aaron Rodgers, and improving by taking reps/looks against top defenses.
- Patrick Queen (Steelers inside linebacker; formerly Ravens). He praises the new defensive coordinator’s organization and “free will” to make checks, emphasizes playing “dirty work” and getting the ball (forced fumbles), and describes last year’s struggles as mostly small mistakes/positioning/scheme issues. He also recalls being amped vs. the Ravens, including playoff intensity and a game-day illness.
Notable examples/claims
Casey Hampton as the “coldest” nose; Queen’s “crepe” pancake by Pat Ricard; Allar’s “never look at receivers—trust spots, key defenders’ hips/eyes.”

3:18James Harrison:Now, oh, snap, I almost dropped it. I caught it that time, Joe. I caught it that time, Joe. Look here. Yes, sir. We're about to see what's going on over here. So your guy, your coach. Yes. Your coach, Todd Monken. Todd Monken. He explained why Sador Sanders practice reps were what they were, and it added a little bit more confusion. Yeah, please. Browns head coach Todd Monkhan cleared the air on why Deshaun Washington took Shador Sanders. First team reps during Saturday's practice. Shador, this is him. He said, Shador on Saturday took the ones in the walkthrough, Monkhan said. So I anticipated him being with the ones.
4:06James Harrison:When I walked out, guys grabbed me and said, hey, the last couple of days, we've been kind of looking at Shador gotten a few more reps with the wands. That's all it was. I wasn't even at the moment. I was like, yeah, sure. We flipped it. And next week, we'll go the other way. I sure as hell wasn't thinking about coming back here and telling all you guys I was going to change my mind because I really don't have to, you know. So that's just the way being the head coach, I can kind of do that. Ultimately, Shador is going to do ultimately short. Shador is going to go today with the ones unless on the way out I change my mind and then he won't.
5:08James Harrison:Okay? Joe. What's up? Tell me what he's talking about. Hey, Joe. Huh? We going to bring you in? Come on in, man. Come on in, brother. Come on in, man. We got to get it. Yeah. What's this? Sebastian. Let's go, baby. Good. How you doing? How you doing? Yes, sir. Yes, sir, man. Good to have you in here, brother. How you liking your new city, man? You just got here. You love it? Yeah, I love it. Honestly, I love it because it kind of reminds me of everything I had to do to get here. You know what I'm saying? Both my parents are immigrants. Came from nothing. Came here, worked their ass off. Tried to give me everything I could so I could play ball.
5:53And I got out the mud. Six-round pick. Got out the mud. And it just kind of represents that. And I love that. blue collar, hard working people grimy, you know what I mean it's not going to be no pretty shit I feel like that's kind of like how my play style is what I had to do in order to be successful in this league I think it's just full circle, you feel me? I had that plan it makes sense
6:16James Harrison:you feel like this is where you're supposed to be if it's your whole process to get to this point you're into the core I should say what year is this week? I'm going to year nine. It's just crazy. Come on. It's crazy. It's crazy. Brother, extremely brass. Extremely brass. It's a blessing, man. I mean, y 'all know. Y 'all played for a long time. He played for a long time. No, you played for a long time. I did a little 12. Yeah, you did a 12-ball. Listen, I know. You did a 12-piece, man. How you liking the new D coordinator? A lot of guys are telling me they're extremely pleased with a lot of the things that he's doing, and especially his understanding, knowledge, communication of all aspects of the defense.
7:00Nah, I'm really fucking with him because, like, his knowledge is, like, legit. It's not like no, like, smoke and mirrors, you know what I'm saying? And he's up front. Like, he'll just tell you how it is, you know what I'm saying? Like, when you need that, you know what I'm saying? Especially in this game because, you know, like, there's some coaches, you know, that, yeah, sugarcoat. And it's like, we defensive players, you know what I'm saying? Let me know. Do let me know. Did I do this shit right or not? Yes. What do you need to see? How do you want me to hit this block? You want me to hit this block?
7:29Or can I just go and play aggressive? So with him, one, he—
7:35James Harrison:When do you want me to hold it? When do you want me to shoot it? When do you want me to do a little bit of both? Exactly. Can I get free of this pass rush, or do you want me just to collapse the pop? You know what I mean? He's very straightforward. He tells you how it is. Also, his knowledge is honestly impressive because he's a defensive line guy. but he has great knowledge of the back of the backfield as well because you know he's with the patriots and all that bill belichick so he has a real good understanding and uh it's cool because i don't know if y 'all know about me but like i i started my my uh my career as a nose next to aaron donald okay but then like as my career went on they like moved me around so it's cool because like the way he like uses like pieces and put in players like he's not gonna like he He's going to use you as much as he can, like, move you around.
8:24James Harrison:He's going to make sure he puts you in position and fits the talents that you have. That is something that I ended up seeing when I was in a lot of in New England. It's like, you know, it didn't matter who he had. Bill over there, he's going to – we had 20 different personnel. He's going to change out whoever he needs to get in there to do whatever it is that they can do the best at that position for that specific play. do like it was the wildest thing ever do like like that's what good coaches do though oh yeah got to yeah yeah with um with your new um you got you married right you got your yeah i got two two three three and uh 17 months a boy okay that's what i thought That's what I thought.
9:09All you do is rumbling.
9:11James Harrison:All you do is rumbling. I got to be. I'm only a referee. Listen, how much has that changed your approach to the game life? Hell, having the kids. Every way, honestly. You know, you're playing for something bigger than yourself. You've always been playing, you know, where I'm from and, like I said, my story, I've always been playing for something bigger than myself. but like now with two seeds like two gypsies you like start to realize in your mind like bro like I gotta make sure I'm good so they can see like you know what I'm saying like when they when they go and say who's your dad they could be like that was my dad you know what I mean like Super Bowl champ that's my daddy he played next to him the best ever like you know what I mean like and it's about sustaining that legacy for me like me like I take pride in being the dirty work guy I take pride in being the guy that I don't need to be I don't want to be the guy.
10:06I don't need to be the guy that does the hard job and let the stars be stars, but know that I did that hard work to help the team win. And I feel like that's what I want my kids to know. You know, your dad was that guy that did the hard shit right.
10:24James Harrison:You know what I'm saying? Yeah, listen, man. I keep telling people every time I talk about a D-lineman, man, nose. and the nose, I think, is the coldest nose I've ever played with ever in the history of the game. Casey Hampton. Oh, yeah. Casey Hampton, bro. I don't care who it is. Casey Hampton should be in the Hall of Fame. I don't feel like it's another nose out there to play the game the way he played it. Hampton would sit there in that A-gap, and he would sit there and have two of them on. He'd have a guard and a center, and literally he'd take a half step. Boom. And that's it. Yeah, it's great.
11:01James Harrison:And that's why you had James Ferry, you had Larry Foote, you had Lawrence Timmons, them boys back there flying and running around free. Because Hampton holding two. Because Hampton holding two. You got Aaron Smith, our DN. He's over there. They need two to stop him. Now you're sitting there with four just on them two right there. And them linebackers right there running free, having a great time back there. People need, like you said, everybody got something dirty to their job. And when you embrace that dirty stuff, it's like the coaches and the players, everybody going to realize what's going on.
11:34James Harrison:It might not be out in the media, seeing what's going on. But in that locker room, everybody like, but without him, I'm not running around free being able to make those plays. So people need that on their team all the time. When you're watching film, what is the first thing you look at when you're watching film? When I watch film, the first thing I look at, honestly, I want to know. I always want to know. I always ask the coaches to break it down like this. I want to know their top sets or their personnel, what are their top personnels, what are their favorite runs in each personnel, their top three runs in each personnel.
12:08Then when I learn that, then I actually go back and then I start watching the O-linemen. So then I look at, like, stances, splits, even sometimes formations, because sometimes formations tell you. I see gunfire. In today's day, I see anything gunfire, I'm thinking either pass or some sort of gap scheme run. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. That's my mindset. I see that shit, I'm like, all right, so now let's see what this guard talking about. Let's see what these guards talking about. Let's see if this splits tight. Because if they split tight, I'm thinking that it might be a double on that three.
12:42If they splits a little wider or that guard sitting back, I'm thinking more gap scheme. You know what I'm saying? Maybe I can shoot it. Maybe I can shoot that bitch. You know what I'm saying? So it's like that's kind of how I break down film. Then obviously when it goes to the pass, then obviously you're seeing their tendencies, their hand placement. are they low hand low hand grabbers or are they outside hand punchers shit like that and also like you know nowadays like motherfuckers they keep cheating getting off the ball fast right which is crazy so honestly sometimes that ball you can't even key that ball no more you really key in like that knee or that leg of the guard you know what I'm saying they let them get away from the guard it's crazy
13:24James Harrison:I'm looking at the game I'm like, didn't he just jump outside three times in a row? I'm like, he ain't Superman. He can't go with the ball like literally on the flick of the ball. No. It's crazy. I got a story for y 'all. Please. Give me two. All right. 2022 playoffs. I'm on Chargers. I'm on the Chargers. We up 24-0 on the Jaguars, right? We blew the game. It's horrible. I was about to say we lost that game listen I was hooping D-Ball I was hooping came out of that bin pit ball interception came out of that bin had TFL like three tackles had a sack I was like who am I about to get that playoff game but I was I was getting I was getting I was getting I was getting my old lady just standing like what up baby feeling good feeling good yeah type shit type shit bro That tackle, but they had a tackle, bro.
14:27This motherfucker was jumping off sides every play. This man, my boy Joey Bosa had enough, and he just started freaking out. He's like, yo, you got to call this. You got to call this. He told the ref. He told the ref the truth. This is the truth. Like, yo, this joker's been jumping off the whole game. Now the game getting close, too. Right. Now I got to tell him. Now I got to tell him. You didn't want to go with that.
14:54James Harrison:I got to tell you. I got to tell you. Hey, man, you ain't calling it. You ain't jumping all the time. Nah, it's getting close. Yeah. You didn't like that. I'm seditious. Flag. Yeah, we lost that. Yeah. That was a big part of that game. Big part of that game. They got a pretty team. And I'm not saying it's anyone's fault. I'm just saying that I feel like the refs. Well, I am saying it's the refs. It is the refs' fault. Hey, stop. Hey, listen, man. We want to thank you. You up to you. Hey, listen. Hey, hey, hey. Sebastian, we want to thank you for coming on. Look here, man. What he said about the ref, we didn't mean nothing about it, man.
15:26James Harrison:I'm kidding. I love you all. I love you. I got him to say that. I said that. That's what I was telling him what to say. Yeah. That's why, yeah. That's what he, yeah. I was telling him because I know, but I don't know why he said it. But we good. We good. We good, though. Listen, go refs, man. Listen, brother. We appreciate you coming on. Come on, bro. Thank you for spending time with us, brother. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. God bless. I appreciate what y 'all doing, man. This is awesome what y 'all doing. Thank you, man. Appreciate it. How's it going? Yes, sir. We're going to jump back on this Browns.
15:54James Harrison:You trying to get to the Browns. Yes. So bad. Yes. I want to know what y 'all are thinking, man. Go ahead, bro. So, as we said, he gave us an excuse. He went through the whole explanation of what was going on. And that he, he said, I can change my mind. Okay? That's what he said. That's what he said. But when I go back and I look at this show, he said, when I walked out, guys grabbed me and said, hey, the last couple of days, Blase Skippy. So he was grabbed and told what by who? That's what I'm trying to figure out, too, D-Bow. Because he said he do what he want to do when I want to do what he want to do.
16:46James Harrison:I don't gotta explain a damn thing to y 'all. I don't gotta explain nothing to nobody. And if I want to, I can change my mind again. I hear him. And this is the only thing.
16:57James Harrison:It doesn't look good, Deebo. For one thing, because...
17:06James Harrison:Joe. It doesn't look good because it was a poor explanation. It was a poor explanation. I don't even know what to say for him. because I feel like now he just blatantly disrespecting me. I think the situation was like, look, at the end, when it says this, D-Bo, when he says, ultimately, Shador's going to start today with the ones, unless on the way out I change my mind, and then he won't, okay? Now it's like, all right, coach, like, all right, now you're just trying to be funny, and now you're just, like, being rude as shit. Like, what are you talking about? So we can't take your word for it, because, like, you're just basically saying, whatever you say right here, I can tell y 'all whatever I want.
17:46James Harrison:You know why? Because I can lie to you. I can tell you whatever I want. He's not lying. He's not lying, Joe. You know what he's doing? You don't have control then. Because who came and grabbed you? You're a coach. And you're prepping in his training camp. There's no way within 15 minutes before practice that you didn't know what the reps are. You know when he had the scripts. He got a script. Do you not have a script? Where is your script? He got a script. No. He just don't have to. No. He had a change. They grabbed him and they said. Who grabbed him? Was it the offensive coordinator? Was it the owner of the team that grabbed him?
18:20James Harrison:Hey, I've just been sitting over here watching. It was the guys counting the reps. He just said, Shador got the reps. You're the head coach of the team. So when you said guys came and grabbed me and said, obviously, are you not counting the reps? Were you not watching the first practice, the second practice, the third practice, the fourth practice? And then before you go to the ninth practice, you say, oh, yeah, Shador's going to be the one that's going to start. And he didn't. So he said, hey, they said, hey, the last couple of days, all of that, hey, the last couple of days, we've been kind of looking at it.
18:55James Harrison:Shador's gotten a few more reps. What? When did that happen? What do you mean? That's been happening the whole time. He got a few more reps, and it added up to him getting all the ones for this day on Saturday. Yeah, man. And then he said he could change his mind if he wanted to. I don't know. What you want me to do? He's the head coach. Who is you? I know, but who are the guys that are just coming in? There's nothing like my American Express Platinum card. Hey, I'm Nora Jones, and I love playing music with people so much that my podcast called Playing Along is back. I sit down with musicians from all musical styles to play songs together in an intimate setting. Every episode's a little different, but it all involves music and conversation with some of my favorite musicians. Over the past two seasons, I've had special guests like Dave Grohl, Leve, Mavis Staples, Remy Wolfe, Jeff Tweedy, really too many to name.
20:53And this season, I've sat down with Joshua Homme, Sarah McLachlan, John Legend, and more. Check out my new episode with Phineas. So I went home and I asked Billie if she wanted to sing it. She immediately made it her own thing. No fair.
21:15You really know how to make me cry when you give me those oceans. So come hang out with us in the studio and listen to Playing Along on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. As parents, we have a million things running through our minds. Play dates, checkups, laundry, diapers, work, groceries. So it's easy to make a mistake. Oh, I forgot birthday candles. We say we'd never put our kids in danger by leaving them in the car alone. Sit tight, hon. I'll be right back. But temperatures as low as 60 degrees can be deadly for children left behind. So always bring them with you.
21:52And every time you park the car, stop, look, lock. Brought to you by NHTSA and the Ad Council. I'm Manga Shatigular, and I'm back with a new season of the podcast Skyline Drive. This time I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones, and brain replacement to try to understand what this longevity obsession is all about, and what it really means to live forever for all of us. I learned about some rad science. I can make a brain for you, and then we can test what draw is the best for your brain, as opposed to his brain. Here are some hard truths. I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four to five year acceleration.
22:40And get myself into a world of trouble. I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. Make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know. Listen to Skyline Drive, How to Live Forever on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts

22:58James Harrison:If you're the head coach, don't Didn't he say, I don't have to come out here and explain myself I'm like, well, don't say nothing Don't say who's going to be, like, why would you do that? He's just letting y 'all know he did you a favor by actually even talking to you and explaining what had happened It's crazy to me I think he just needed to the end of the day he's going to be the coach of the Browns. He could say what he said. He doesn't have to apologize or whatever. But if you're the media, they have rights to know these answers. It's a starting quarterback for the Browns. They have a right to know who they think is going to be doing it, who's supposed to be starting to practice.
23:34James Harrison:And then when the coach tells you, oh, yeah, he's starting today and he doesn't, you got to tell me something. Come on up in here, baby. What's up, baby? How you doing, man? Drew, nice to meet you, brother. Drew, nice to meet you. Let's go. Let's go. Nice to meet you, brother. Drew, please, please welcome Mr. Drew Allen. Yes, sir. Penn State's finest. Penn State's finest. Look here, baby. How you doing today? I'm doing great. How you guys doing? Damn, what you got on, boy? You got some smell good on. That man smells good. I smell good. He got rich and all that. Man, that's going to be that. T.J.
24:04James Harrison:Hotsman. That would be that. Man, listen. No, they came in funky as hell. Stanky. You're talking about weight room and all. Weight room and all. My leg. Showered up. Boy, that's what I'm doing. Showered up. Put on some cologne and all. That's that QB. I can't be going out here bad. You know what I'm saying, man? I like it, Drew. Hey, man, how you liking working with McCarthy? I'm loving it. I've learned a lot really ever since day one, since rookie minicamp. Him and that whole room between him, Coach Arthur, and Coach Ames, they've done a great amount for me and helping me develop. So I'm really looking forward to building our relationship and then obviously getting into play in this preseason will be fun with Coach McCarthy calling the plays.
24:43James Harrison:what's uh what's what's one of the uh uh i would say the the major uh or the biggest thing that he's helped you with helped you improve with i should say um i would say what footwork specifically how detailed he is like every step on the drop has a name uh and just being very detailed and kind of the drill work that we do every day in practice and then carrying that over to the seven on seven or or team periods i feel like has helped me a ton uh because it's something i've always had to work on but I feel like him and the whole staff has done a great job of being very detailed and that's made it easier on me than I can just go out there and you know perfect it and drill work and then you know just go play ball when it's time to play ball okay yeah have you heard so I mean A-Rod obviously Hall of Famer is probably his last year playing have you learned anything specifically from him yeah I've learned a ton from him uh he I mean he's been there and and done that with really every concept that we have in the playbook.
25:37So he'll give out free ball to all of us in the QB meetings with tips and tricks and where our eyes should be at pre-snap with certain concepts and maybe certain protections, especially kind of getting into more game plan today with Green Bay on Thursday, him giving the cues and things that we should be looking for on film, like with pressures, where they're coming from, if there's anything that ties into it.
26:01James Harrison:Okay. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, for the ball snaps, what are you looking at, man? What's the first thing you're looking at when you start a play? You break the huddle, what's the first thing you're looking at? First thing I'm looking at is play clock, see how much time I got to manage and get the playoff with. But from there, I'm starting bottom up with the defense, identifying the front, is it four down, three down, and that sort of thing, and then where the backer's at, and then working my way up to the third level with the safeties. I know it's different in the NFL a lot players are a lot smarter and you know can hold a lot more disguises but in college that was always my process just because I felt like in college the free safeties would give away some things just by alignment NFL it's still sort of like that but they're so keyed in on their their tendencies that they'll they'll hide that too so it's still you know for me I'm always going to work bottom up okay is there a time frame uh once the ball a snap that you're uh you're told to uh look for your your second keys like what what is that how is that taught to you or how does that process went with yeah i mean it kind of depends on on the concept of the play like if there's a you know aaron kind of talks about it like on each concept you have your re-key um if it's just like a shallow cross concept you're you're starting with the sam and really staring through the sam to the safety just to see if you have your alerts on the outside.
27:22But from there, it's like you just pick on one person and you can't, that person can never be right. And you have to make them wrong all the time. And then based off that, just feeling feeling time and space, especially in zone, just feeling those pockets and where the receivers are supposed to be at. One thing Aaron kind of mentioned in back in OTAs with me is you should never really be looking at the receivers. You got to trust that they're going to be in their spots at the, at the, at the right time. And you should really be looking at defenders, just, you know, their positions, their hips, or their eyes at you, or their back turn.
27:53Because, I mean, if their back's to you, like, they shouldn't be able to break up a ball unless it's just right at their back. So, yeah.
28:01James Harrison:I'm loving that. So how are you liking Pittsburgh, though, bro? I'm liking it a lot. Obviously, I grew up in the Midwest, so I'm kind of familiar with it. But it's my first time really spending a lot of time in the city. It's a great city. Fan base, obviously, is very passionate, which makes it a lot more fun. and, you know, I'm really kind of merging myself in it. I found a spot up in the north part of the city. Okay. So, yeah. Good, good, good stuff. What you looking at, D-Bo? Who you root for when you was growing up? I did grow up a Browns fan. I saw this guy play a lot of games. You saw me hoop a little bit.
28:38James Harrison:I did a little one-two for the Browns. Yes, sir. Yes. I knew there was something about Drew. I knew there was something about Drew. Listen, obviously you're a Stiller, which means you're a Stillers fan now, right? For sure. Yep.
28:59James Harrison:I think it had to be forced onto you because of the situation. So me, being who I was, I was born in Akron, Ohio. I was a Browns fan. Yeah. But once I became a man, I gave up to all these fans. You both. So, you know. T-Boy, you got to chill with that. I'm just saying. That was just one of the things that I ended up, you know, I ended up giving up, you know, and putting on the black and gold, you know. Look, look, man. I'm a Browns fan still, and I'm a Steelers fan. Drew is with me also, so don't even worry. But when he plays against the Steelers, when he plays against the Browns, obviously, Steelers got to win.
29:40James Harrison:He's a quarterback for the Steelers. So, you know, why are you still looking at me so hard, man? I just haven't. Listen, man, what's the biggest surprise to you coming into the NFL? What's the biggest change, thing that you had to adjust to the most? Yeah, I think the biggest thing is, you know, the D-line. I think the D-line, you know, no matter if you're going against the ones, twos, or threes at this level, they're all really talented. I feel like you don't really need to bring that much pressure to generate pressure with the D-lines in the NFL, especially the D-line we got here. So you don't need to do much to generate pressure.
30:18But I also think just the savviness and just the experience of everybody, especially going against the vets on the back end of our defense. Again, they know out of the skies things really well, and they just play with a lot more anticipation. I think they recognize our formations and concepts a lot quicker than I'm used to, at least at the college level. So there's just a lot more, you know, wittiness and just savviness to a lot of the players on the other side of the ball, which makes me have to just play faster and, you know, just trust my eyes and trust my feet.
30:49James Harrison:Yep, yep, yep. That makes sense, man. Because, I mean, with the, like you said, the longer that they play, the more that you're going to start learning the game. You're going to start knowing what they got coming on. So, you know, it all makes sense. What is successful? What is success to you this year? What does that look like? What is the goal? What would that be? Yeah, I mean, for me, it's just finding my role and contributing and winning in any way I can. If that's helping Aaron with something, if he wants me to do something throughout the week with film cut-ups or whatever that case is, I'm more than willing to do that.
31:21And then if I'm the one giving the looks to the defense, I got to go out and try to make the defense better throughout the week. And I know that's going to help me in my future just because I'm going to be going against one of the best defenses in the NFL. And that will help my development as well in season.
31:36James Harrison:Yeah, I was on practice squad for a year, almost a year and a half. But in that process, I ended up realizing that, you know what, I could actually play at this level. I could actually play this game because you're going against the ones. And if you're able to go out there, no matter if you're actually doing another team's offense, you know the reads, you know where you should go, and you're able to go out there and have success against them, I think that would be, especially for a quarterback, I think that would be a great confidence boost in knowing your abilities. Great mindset to have, too, as you're going at it like that, man.
32:11James Harrison:For sure. Yes, for sure. You got the crap? No. Oh, no. I ain't done yet. What you got? I ain't done yet. Okay, go ahead. If that's the case, I ain't done yet. Go ahead. All right. Because me and True, we already connected. We vibed up. We brown. You play. That's my dog. Come on, you get this up, man. He don't want to get into that brown stuff. Y 'all got trash going on. We mess with y 'all might need to. Yeah, y 'all might. Y 'all might. Y 'all might. Start it. Yeah. Y 'all ain't got a chance, bro. Aaron be done at this. Stop, man. We got to find out what's going on after they get through anyway.
32:43James Harrison:I don't even know what you're talking about. We got options for you. You ain't got no... What is you doing? You about to get kicked out of here, bro. Come on, man. You keep trying to bring up the Browns, so I'm going to just say my little piece, but I'm going to, you know, you see me. I'm going to steal the jersey on. You know what time it is. What's under it? What's under it? You got a Brown shirt on under that shit? Nah. No. No. You sure? A thousand percent, bro. Damn, so sure. I don't like it. No. The hell is she talking to me? Come on, Debo. We got my man. We got, come on. Let's get you right.
33:09James Harrison:Last question.
33:15James Harrison:I ain't going to ask him that because that'd be too tough in the answer. What? He had to boost himself and throw somebody else down. I'm the bus. You know what I'm saying? Go ahead, man. Let's see what he got. I ain't going to do it. I don't do it like that. Listen here, man. um nephew you played with peasy right yes joy porter you play with nephew um how much has he improved from when he was at pit to where he's at now bro when he was at penn state sorry to where he's at now joey yes a lot i mean i know like i was on uh our d squad a little bit at penn state my freshman year before they named me the backup and you know go against joey every day it was it It was a problem.
33:54I don't think we had a completion against him. So, yeah, I mean, but Joey's a phenomenal player, and he's been one of those guys. Him and Brisker have been, obviously, two Penn State guys on the defensive side of the ball, but they've, you know, gone all their way to checking on me and ask how I'm doing. And, you know, Joey's a hell of a player. I've seen that since, you know, my first day on campus at Penn State, and, you know, he's gotten better every year that he's been here.
34:22James Harrison:Yeah, definitely. Spare him to get the big bag. Appreciate you coming on with us, man. Thank you very much, man. Drew Allard. I can say his name right now, too, because I got my braces off. You ain't even no decision, see? You don't even be paying no attention to me. I do be paying no attention to you, man. You ain't do none of that shit today, so I should have known. Yeah, you should have known. Man, I've been off. I appreciate it, baby. Appreciate you, brother. Thank you, man. Appreciate you, guys. All right, brother. Appreciate you, brother. Now, you want to see what's going on with your boys over there.
34:53James Harrison:and Cleveland. We done with that, man, because I don't think we got an answer. All right. What do you want me to say? My coach, he said what he said. He got... Somebody came in and did that. It's just confusing. It's just really confusing. I didn't get any answers from when he said that. I got a little bit more confused. I would just want him to say... You know what's more confusing? Or what pissed somebody off real bad? is I'm hearing it's a starting quarterback in a place called Minnesota. Oh! I'm hearing the starting quarterback. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Good old Kyler Murray. Kyler Murray? Good old Kyler Murray.
35:39James Harrison:Oh, Kyler Murray got a starting quarterback over there in Minnesota. Yep. What? Yep, yep. You know what? JJ out there talking crazy to him. I don't need to learn nothing from you. You might do. You might need to learn something. You might need to do. No, don't learn nothing. Don't learn nothing. Don't. Let him go ahead and get it. Yeah. Because I think Kyle Murray, if he gets the good, he got Jefferson out there. He gets a good offense coordinator. He might look good. Because he got an arm. He can run. That's what I'm saying. He's showing his chances now to get back out. He's going back into the pay window again.
36:07James Harrison:He's going to get back in there. That's what happens. Ooh-wee. Your team cut you. They let him go for like 90. They owed him like 90. 70-something minutes. And they done picked him up for the low, too. For the low, 1.4. 1.4. He gonna go out there, start, and ball out. And now that's how you reinvigorate your career. That's what it look like to Sean Watson. After this year, if it don't happen, you can go somewhere else. No, they gonna keep the Sean. No, they're not gonna compete. What are you talking about? They're not gonna keep the Sean for sure. What are you talking about? He said it's a possibility.
36:42James Harrison:I'm not listening to what nobody says from over there. No more. Because you know why? Because they could be lying to you. Joe, stop. Words mean things. They don't, you know, no, not honestly. Not honestly. He just said, or. When Coach told, when Coach said, I'll let you know that your door's going to start today. Or when I'm walking there, I might change my mind. So. Or he won't. Or he won't. Or he will. But he's saying he's going to let you know. It was a confusion, obviously, that happened. And somebody said, hey. I just really want to fast forward until after the Bills game. so we can finally figure out who's going to be the starting quarterback for the Browns.
37:20James Harrison:Just name it. Just name it. Just name it, man, because they stressing me out. I'm just saying, man. Look here. Let's jump back over to the snake. What we got is a high school player had a snake in his helmet, brother. That's crazy. And it looked like we got more work coming in. Is that queen? That is queen, baby. Yeah, it is clean right there. Yes, sir. High school football player practiced with a venomous snake in his helmet for over an hour in Arkansas this week. Man, the AD said a cottonmouth snake wedged its way into his helmet pads. Dude, you see this picture? We can't show no pictures. That's the crazy thing.
38:06James Harrison:And it wasn't discovered until the player reported feeling something odd in his headpiece. Bro, this thing is pent in his helmet. I don't know how it didn't bite the dog shit out of it. That's what I'm saying. That doesn't make it. And why is your helmet on the ground that long that you're going to let a snake go and nest in it? Come on, bro. That's the high school. Queen, come on, baby. What's going on, boss? What's going down, boss? How you doing, my man? Good. Good to see you, brother. Good to see you, baby. Yes, sir. Either one. It don't matter. Whichever one you want. Whichever you want. Patrick Queen, ladies and gentlemen.
38:38James Harrison:Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Inside linebacker. Go run, hit, and smack you. Facts. That's what we doing around here. How you doing, baby? Good, good. Where you coming from? You just get through working out or you came through with Drew? Like, Drew, you got washed up, shower. Yeah, shower, okay. You ain't got no cologne on, though. He came in here smelling all good and everything. I'm trying to figure out who he was smelling good for. Drew. Who's the man, Drew Allen? Drew Allen, he came in here with cologne on that. Drew Allen. I thought he had a hot date. Boy, call it hair sleek back. Yeah. Facts. Hey, man, how are you enjoying the new D.C.
39:16James Harrison:and the changes that he's brought? Yeah, I'm loving it. You know, you got so much free will now to be able to make checks whenever we see fit. And, you know, that was the whole thing. You know, I wanted this offseason talking to the new staff, new coaches and everything. I wanted things to be organized. I wanted things to be detailed. I didn't want to come in and feel like the same thing constantly happening, where we aren't sure about this or we aren't sure about that. And you get to the game and you say everybody doing this, you know. Oh, yeah. Believe me. That gets aggravating. So it was like at some point you'd be like, damn, do I still want to, you know, be doing this?
39:53James Harrison:I mean, we, you know, we'd be watching the games, man. And, you know, we had communications with some people. and they're like, dude, like, they're being told two different things, but it's on the same play. I'm like, how is that possible? And, you know, when you were saying stuff, you know, me and Joe, we sitting there looking at each other, we're like, we know what he's talking about, he just ain't saying it. We just ain't saying it. We're talking about making this stuff sharp, making execution, everybody on the same page, speaking the same language, nobody's looking back and forth. And then it goes down to, like, if one person, or say one person don't know what they're doing on the defense, right?
40:28Like, if everybody else is talking and we all know what we're supposed to do, we can fix that one guy. Right. Just by talking. Yes. Whereas as far as, okay, we all talking, but half of the defense think we're doing this and half of the defense think we're doing that, then that's when you've got your little mix-up and problems. Then you can't fix nothing. And the ball has got to be ballers at that point. But, like, I love to do stab rest, super detailed. They're cool about everything. Like, we've got free will just to go do what we've got to do.
40:55James Harrison:So, I'm loving it. Within the concepts of what you have on that plate. Yeah, I understand, understand. Yeah, I had a lot of that, like I was telling other guys with Coach LeBeau. It was players, you know, like Troy, you know. But Troy, he took it away. Troy would jump over the pile and have be third. Yeah. But he'd make the tackle. But it really didn't matter, you know what I'm saying? It really didn't matter, man. What does success look like to you this year? What does that look like? For me personally or as a team? Give me personally. Personally? Give me personally. What does success look like to you?
41:33I think starting off having everybody lined up, situated, ready to go. I think that's a job that not me personally but me and Peyton can do. Personally, just me, I will say just every down showing up in some way, some fashion. Whereas hitting somebody, getting to the ball, getting the ball, I think that's the biggest goal for me right now is getting the ball. Last year I didn't have one. Maybe a forced fumble. I think I had one forced fumble last year, and that's not usually like me. So getting back to that, I think the year before in Pittsburgh, I had my hands on the ball seven times for intercession and dropped all seven.
42:04So it's just like small stuff like that. You just got bad hands. No, I got great hands. I had a bad year. But just getting back.
42:13James Harrison:That's what I want to talk to you about. Last year, you said you had a bad year. How hard and difficult was that to actually be like, sit back and be like, you know what, I had a bad year? It sucks. Because I know my talent. I know the work I put in. So it sucks, especially like when you talk about goals, I want pro bowl. I want to be the best. I don't want to be top five, top seven. I want to be top two, you know, one. And it's just aggravating because you go through so much stuff in the offseason to build yourself up to when you get to the season to be able to perform. And it's just small things that hold you back here and there.
42:47So it aggravates you a lot. So the whole offseason, you think about that while you train and stuff.
42:52James Harrison:I think that's growth, though, man. For you to be able to sit back and be like, you know what, I had a bad season. And it's things that I need to improve on. And you know what, I'm willing to admit that. A lot of people aren't willing to admit that. That's a growth, brother. And you left Baltimore to come to Pittsburgh. Like, same thing I left the Browns with the Steelers. How does it feel when you play against the Ravens? You feel like you need to get there. You want it a little more. Yeah, I mean, the first two for sure. I was amped up, especially the first one. I was home first, too. I was amped up about this world.
43:27I woke up with it on my mind, got me a coffee at like 7.30 a.m. Got a haircut. Game went too late at night. I'm about to go in. And then balled that game, second game, played all right. Then we played them for the playoffs. I was super amped up. Then I got food poisoning. I don't know if I had food poisoning or food whatever that morning. Bro, I was sick. I was so mad. And then it's like, if I don't play, they're going to say I was scared and ducking them. Right. That's the first year removed. Yeah, yeah. But I'm like, if I do go play, I ain't going to be able to play like myself. I ain't going to be myself.
43:58So I was just like, damn. So I called my mama. She was like, don't play. Called my dad, don't play. I said, nah. I got to play. I got to go out there. But, man, every time I see them, it's going to be that. Whether it's the fans, whether it's me still, you know, feeling the type of way. It's always going to be there. And that's good. That's good for the sport. It's good for the game. is good for me. I get to go out there and perform with some emotion, so if it builds it up even more, I'm down there.
44:26James Harrison:How much of your
44:32James Harrison:performance last year would you say was based on just not knowing what the hell was going on or being in positions that weren't ideal, and how much of it was just you fucking up?
44:46Me fucking up part probably slim. I think if I collect all the plays from the season, it's probably about 11 plays of me just messing up with 11 plays out of 17 games out. As far as being out of position, scheme-wise, whether it's scheme-wise or whatever it is, based on what offense is running, I think like the one with T. Higgins here. Big color, bigger savings. 46:12Hey, I'm Nora Jones, and I love playing music with people so much that my podcast called Playing Along is back. And this season I've sat down with Joshua Homme, Sarah McLachlan, John Legend, and more. Check out my new episode with Phineas. So I went home and I asked Billie if she wanted to sing it.
46:48She immediately made it her own thing. No fair
46:59You really know how to make me cry When you give me those oceans So come hang out with us in the studio and listen to Playing Along on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. So always bring them with you And every time you park the car, stop, look, lock.
47:40Brought to you by NHTSA and the Ad Council. I'm Munga Shatikular and I'm back with a new season of the podcast Skyline Drive. This time I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones, and brain replacement to try to understand what this longevity obsession is all about. And what it really means to live forever, for all of us. I learned about some rad science. I can make a brain for you, and then we can test what draw is the best for your brain, as opposed to his brain. Here are some hard truths. I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four to five year acceleration.
48:25And get myself into a world of trouble. I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. Make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know. Listen to Skyline Drive How to Live Forever on the iHeartRadio app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts We played in Thursday night football and the first I think it might have been the first third down they had T. Higgins on the bang route or whatever you want to call it 10 yard post whatever skinny post they hit them on that and it's like cover three and you know you can get to that play but you gotta protect this hash too because they hit the middle of the field and they were talking about how the middle of the field getting hit so it's just like small stuff like that you know as a ball player but it's like also schematically it kind of holds you back.
49:04So it's small stuff like that, but could have played better for sure.
49:10James Harrison:So D-Bow, I got a question. What was the most embarrassing thing that happened to you in practice that you hope nobody saw? I ain't never had nothing that embarrassing for nobody to see. I think back in Baltimore, I got pancaked by Pat Ricard, but it wasn't like crazy. It wasn't crazy, pancaked. It was just light. Just a little. It was like a crate. Yeah, it wasn't a pancake pan, it was a crepe. Yeah, he called my man stepping into some little bit. What was your welcome to the NFL moment? Everybody had one. That was it? Yeah. Okay. Once he got a hold on, it was. Oh, he put the grippers on you, and it was, yeah, come on with me.
49:45James Harrison:Let's go for a ride. You know how offense players like to grab a side? Yeah. Yeah. That's holding. It is holding. That's holding. He on the outside of the pass. Was he on the outside? He was on the outside. You know the little flaps? The little flaps? That's still holding, but they're not going to call it. You know who had grippers on them? Right. Mark Brunner, tight end? Bruh, I don't give a damn. If he get in here, anyway, Vice Grips, you're not coming off, bruh. It's not, I mean, you can sit there and shake. You ain't coming off. It didn't matter. That's what, man. It didn't matter. I'm not letting people put their hands on me.
50:21James Harrison:That was the grown man. You ain't had no choice. You gotta fight with him. I had to fight with him, bruh. I found out that one time. I was like, yeah, I can't let him get them big beaters on me no more. No, sir. Who is the top five, who you say the top five, like, hardest running backs to tackle? We go top three. I don't play against Chubb. Chubb. Okay, yeah, I got Chubb. Thank you for Chubb. Chubb Warren, for sure. Like, perfect, when you talk about a perfect running back, like, to be able to hit whatever gap, jump cut, straight cut, like, be able to get down here and run behind his pads and not change his movement and what he do.
50:51You legit my one. Derrick Henry second. Big body, y 'all obviously know that. Yeah. Like, just a hard tackle in general. Three, I'm going to probably say Buddy from the Texas last year. I can't remember his name. I think he got called up that week or something. Buddy was solid. He was solid. He was solid. He was solid. I'm going to put him three. I'm going to put him five. Okay. But he was solid. Three spot. It's tough, though, because for me,
51:22James Harrison:I don't really like getting running backs props like that. Yeah, no, I feel you. I feel you. I ain't going to lie. My toughest tackle was probably J. Lou. Jamal Lewis? Big back. Big back. Short, too. You know, he down there with me. Yeah. I'm used to being able to get up under him. You all saying? Good pad level. Yeah. So you don't really like giving no backs no love though. It really is. It really is. That's it. It really is. That's tough then. It's not like, when I see tough, it's like, I see you running through the hall and I'm like, shit. Like, I gotta get right. I gotta put that. I gotta put that with weed.
51:55I gotta bring it. Yeah. And I hope you don't juke me. Now see, we talking about... Shiftiness. I'm gonna say Bijan. When we played New England, when I first got hit, Bijan was nice, like... I remember I shot a gap, and it was like... He wasn't even running full speed. He like bent the corner on me, got to the side. And like I dove and everything, I'm like, damn. I said, my head, I'm like, damn, I'm getting slow. Like... But he right there, then I say give. Yes. I think it's like, he didn't really give the show us that much because they started throwing the ball a whole bunch. But from just watching, I just got to give it to him.
52:34Okay. Because he hit that one cut. He don't.
52:38James Harrison:He out of the. Yeah. He out of the. Yeah. Okay. Okay. All right. With this new defense, defense y 'all got with the coordinator, we would consider you more to one of the more versatile linebackers. is this defense being able to let you use more of that versatility in all phases without a doubt yeah um I don't want to say too much but no he ain't got to say too much he's excited bro he ain't got to say too much you on P-Dub yeah P-Dub was excited too yeah yeah sir yeah man so you give him a lot of a lot of good knowledge and he'd have grown so much bro it's like it was like night and daylight bro I'm talking about communication like that's what we were talking about I see the play call boom.
53:26It's like, you know, usually when you get the play call, you set the front, you do this check or whatever. But I see the play call, he lined them up already. Like, hey, we got this, we got this. So it's like just flowing naturally. So like, he can go play because he confident what he calling. I can play because he controlling all this. So now I can focus with this other half, you know, like. It's crazy. It's going to be fun.
53:43James Harrison:He was saying the same stuff. Like, he felt like he could finally take some stuff off of your plate so you can be able to play more free. Yeah, because what it sounded like to me is you was moving a lot of people around. You was doing a lot of good things, correcting you. it wasn't correct. And then when people didn't know, it's like you said, one half doing this, other half doing that. Dude, that's frustrating. It's going to fall in our position every time. Oh, well, sure. Well, yeah, you need to be the quarterbacks. Yeah, which I don't really care about, but it's at the same time. Let's be realistic.
54:08That's all right.
54:09James Harrison:Listen, man, we got a whole year coming up, man, under a new D coordinator, under a system that everybody has obviously spoken highly of. Yep. And his knowledge, especially Patrick Graham, I mean, yeah, his knowledge and understanding of how the defense that he built works and knowing every position from the top down and being able to, you know, explain it and everybody being on the same page, man. I ain't going to lie, bro. I'm super excited. I'm hearing the right words, bro. I've been hearing communication. Like, that's the one thing you said, too. Like, everybody's ball is going to ball, but if we know what we're doing, if everybody's talking now, now we can just go.
54:45James Harrison:If it's a man on a man and they beat me, I can live with that. I can live with that. If they're running right by us and everybody looking like this, they don't live in. It's not cool. They ain't cool. Take away the bus and we get beat because he made a play. They made a play. Clown it back up. You know what I'm saying? They get paid too. They get paid too. They get paid too. Come on, bro. They get paid too. Come on, bro. No question about it. Our defense is going to be solid. I'll ask you guys this. Your time here as a Pittsburgh Steeler, when you're done, what do you want the fans to say about you as a player and as a man?
55:17As a player, I gave everything I got. Every single game, they know I was bringing it, whether it's getting the ball, whether it's big hits, leading my team in whatever fashion that needed to be led, that I did that as a person the same way. Off the field, treated everybody with respect. Always looked out for fans whenever I needed to. If it was to sign something or even just talk, say hi to the pitch or whatever it is, I try to do that. 95 % of the time, if I'm not rushing to go somewhere, I do something. And just know I gave it everything I got. Like I said, I love this game. I do everything I can to be the guy.
55:59So I just want them to know I'm going to give it my all every single time. I ain't going to never shy away from the game. I ain't going to never try to cheat the game anyway to get away from the game. So hopefully at the end of my career here.
56:11James Harrison:Yes, sir, brother. Listen, everybody, we want to appreciate you. Thank you for coming on with us, man. We don't take up too much of your time. We know you got to get moving. Appreciate y 'all. Appreciate you, brother. I'll take care of you. Yes, sir. Take it easy, brother. Y 'all too. Now, Joe, let's get back to the damn snake. Come on. That snake goes out there. He's a snake in my boot. Dude, it's packed up in the top of his helmet. D-Bo. How in the hell did it get in there? Listen, you know how long your helmet got to be on the ground? He wasn't a starter. He wasn't playing. For sure. He was sitting over there bullfraggling rocking.
56:40James Harrison:For sure. I don't know. What was he doing? You see how it's curved in this helmet? It's sitting there looking. Whole body. It's alive still? It's alive. It's looking at me, Joe. It looked like it was dead. No, that motherfucker. He got eyes open. Joe, look at him. Oh, man. I'm not. Eyes open, Joe. I'd have been scared to death, D-Bell. It's too late. You got the helmet off. He done bit you and spit. I don't like mice. You know what, Cottonmouth, dude? Dude, that thing, it ain't nothing that you want to be. That shit venomous, bro. I'm cool on that. Look at that. Oh. Yep. I didn't do it. Nope.
57:28Look, it's in there.
57:30James Harrison:It's right there, bro. Oh, sure, I think one in your hat. Yeah, I think one in your hat. I ain't afraid of snakes, Joe. but I'm, yeah. That's crazy. That's a little different though. That might be a little different. It look like, did you see that big old face mask on this helmet? I don't understand that concept, brother. That is one I just do not understand, brother. Don't put on that. Shit. Oh yeah, we done. Hold on. Hold on, brother. Let's see what we got right here. Let's see what we got right here. All right. What's that right there? Who's it? CD? CD said, man, y 'all got to pay my guys. CD Lamb is calling to Jerry Jones to get George Pickens paid.
58:18James Harrison:He said, I don't have no ego. I want to win. I don't understand the narrative XYZ, but it is what it is. I'm sure we can make a way. I know it's going to be a little crazy, but I know we can make a way for this one. Listen, this is my avocation at Jerry. Can you please figure out a way? Let's figure it out. I don't care what needs to happen. Let's figure it out, and it's going to get you a couple more championships. Oh, he said it's going to give you a couple more championships. $94 million is tied up between Dak and C.D. and uh what's his name quentin williams just signed the three hundred and five yes yes uh extension to make him the highest paid d lineman yep um yo i don't even think they got enough money to make this i do they always got every time you sound like an owner they always got money you can always make some money guaranteed you can always move some money around to free up some space.
59:27James Harrison:Let me tell you why. You can. You can, you can. The salary cap is going up and everything for sure. Dak Prescott guarantees some of his money. What's the cap number? I don't know. But I'm just saying, they can make it happen inside C.D. Lamb. There's no way that they can. What's that deal then? The deal would be, let's say... No! They signing George Pickens. What's the deal? The deal for George Pickens? Yeah. Three years... C.D. won't even pay. Three years what? Then they were, what Quentin Williams got. Huh? You think he gonna take that? Your boy over there sitting with 40-something, ain't he?
1:00:04James Harrison:40, 80, 120. What you want him to, probably 35.
1:00:11James Harrison:35 a year. Three for 35 a year. 35, 70, 105. I'm talking about the highest pay is your boy over there. The highest pay is like Jackson's is$40 million a year. What is it, no, 42. It's 42.
1:00:28They're not going to be able to make him the highest paid receiver in the league.
1:00:33James Harrison:He might just have to take something around where CD's inside to. CD coming back for some more paper. That's why he ain't tripping. He know he going to get his, and I'm going to come back and get mine about two.
1:00:51James Harrison:He's trying to get his friend paid. You're telling me they got another 120 sitting there? They do, D-Bo. Sitting there. You sound like an owner. They do, though. They do. They do. What's the cap number at? Chad, can somebody tell me what the cap number is? Cowboys? Yes. Cowboys. Please, somebody tell me something. Even if they don't, well, look, that's C.D. Lamb just saying that he wants his boy, obviously, to get paid. They got$5.5 million available on the cap? Yeah. How the hell they gonna get 40? Easy, man. Where? They gonna make some money, move some stuff to guarantee. What they gonna do, do with the basketball I've been doing over there with Kawhi and them?
1:01:32James Harrison:No, no backdoor deals, Debo. That shit, I don't know where you gonna get 35 more from. Put it forward, move it forward. Move it forward to who? What's gonna happen? You gotta collect that shit at some point. I'm trying to tell you, I'm trying to tell you. You can guarantee more of CD's contract and DAC's. it's going to free up space. Make it a signing bonus. Yes. The money that he's going to give him, a salary, change it to signing bonus because it's guaranteed anyway. All right, D-Bow. I'm trying to tell you they can make it happen. Next time, I'm going to show you a deal that they can be able to do with moving around a couple of people's money and making things into a signing bonus instead of a salary that will make it okay.
1:02:16James Harrison:Right now, a lot of the teams, they just be worried about paying them through the salary, through the season. If you just switch it to the signing bonus, you know how that shit knocks down the number. I know we do. Don't that still go against the cap, Joe? All right, Debo. I'm going to show you. I'm just asking you. I don't know. Maybe I'm done with this box of rocks. Yeah. Yeah. I'm done with this dude, man. Yeah. He don't know. He don't get it. You can't get blood from a turnip, Joe. Debo, you just don't get it. I'm telling you, I know how to manipulate the contrast. I'm like a general manager.
1:02:50James Harrison:the way that you can be able to move stuff around when people say, oh, how do the Chiefs be able to keep all... Yes. There's ways. The Chiefs keep three players. The Bengals. They got Joe Burrow making 60. They got Jamar Chase making 40. They got T. Higgins making the bag. And on defense, they still got... No, they just signed Lawrence. They just signed Lawrence. They got a couple dudes making the bag on the team. So, you can make it happen. It's always... You sound like the GMs. Like, oh, no, we can't make it happen. They got$94 million between that and... Plus this other... Add another$30. I'm trying to...
1:03:28James Harrison:They're going$124. What's the cap? I don't know what the cap is, but I'm going to look at the Dallas cap. He don't know what the cap is, but he's talking about you can get the money. You can always get the money, Debo. There's always more money. NFL is bullshitting when they keep talking. You sound like them. There's more money. There's money everywhere. There's money everywhere. No. You just push it forward. Baseball ain't got no cap. Yes. If we didn't have a cap, that would be amazing. But then you had teams like the Pirates. Kill the cap. And you had teams like the Dodgers. Kill the cap. Dodgers paying their team$500 million.
1:04:02James Harrison:I would be. I'm with it. I'm with it because then you would just show how much your team really wants to win. Yes. Dodgers giving their team$500 million. Sohey and Tani. And then you got the Pirates. They probably hold salary$125 million. Stop. Stop. We ain't going to talk about Pittsburgh. No, no, no. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. You take that shit over there to Cleveland. Yeah, our cap not too high either. The Guardians cap a little low too. But we're not out there like the Yankees and the Dodgers. They paying people. That's why you start paying for the Super Bowl. I'm wishing, man. I don't think the Pirates give a damn about that.
1:04:35James Harrison:I think they want to get that money. They know the fans don't go to the game anyway. 20 ,000%. They paying up for a good product, but they won't have to pay enough for everything. Because if you don't have no cap, you can go get it. They're paying up the fight to talk about they might make the playoffs. that make it look good. Listen, I don't understand that, man. Listen, we got... They're ranking the 10 NFL coaches on the hot seat. They said Nick Sirianni, Mike Vrabel. Absurd choices to what? All right, so I guess USA Today released the top 10 NFL coaches on the hot seat for 2026. Vrabel at 10.
1:05:12James Harrison:Joe Brady at 9. Clint Kubiak at 8. Matt LaFleur at 7 Nick Surrey on 6 Dan Quinn at 5 Zach Taylor at 4 Todd Bowles at 3 Aaron Glenn at 2 Anytime you coach a neighbor that's a thing Shane what is that Stint something The coach he's at 1 Why is he at 1? What did he do? I don't know Were they supposed to win something and they didn't? they looked alright to me last year didn't they lose quarterback didn't they pick up old man Rivers yes yeah you can't that's not his fault how you gonna do that that's not his fault my man Anthony Richardson why Mike Bray didn't they just go to the Super Bowl you know what I see hot what happened you know what I see hot what happened why did I see hot you boys just went to the Super Bowl what's alright what extracurriculars X Carrillo City.
1:06:18James Harrison:They trying to be all, yeah, man. Oh, that stuff they don't want to talk about. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I got you, I got you. That's a private life. We're going to stay away from that, too. We're going to stay away from that, too. I'm going to tell you why. I think why a lot of people stay away from that. This is my thought. This is me thinking. Okay. You thinking, you talking, too. I'm just thinking, I'm talking. I think a lot of people stay away from that because maybe
1:06:47James Harrison:it's more people living in glass houses. It's a lot of rocks. You don't want to throw no rocks. You don't want to throw no rocks. You know you're going and then something shatter behind. Oh, man. Oh, shit. Shatter. So, don't nobody want to throw no rocks when, you know, everybody might be living in a glass house or you got a wood house or you got a straw house. you know you ain't you ain't bricked up you know if you ain't bricked up you know sit back and plus who knows you may move out that brick house into a straw house and now you ain't through no you know you ain't through no rocks at nobody's glass house you good you're good you're chilling that's what i that's what i'm thinking nobody gonna come but i don't know what it means but y 'all take it and go with it i'm gonna go aaron glenn at two because the jets you know they just yeah they just They're throwing a lot in the ass.
1:07:41James Harrison:They can't take it anymore. A lot of losing going on. You know what? It might be tired balls at three. I mean, Nick Sorayani is the Eagles. But even if they win, then they're going to lose their quarterback because he ain't talking with them. You know, Baker said he gone. So if they win it, it saves his job for now, but Baker said he gone. He ain't doing no negotiating. They're going to have to figure that out. They got the dough. I mean, I don't know about the Bengals. I think the Bills coach, too, that was Joe Brady. Because they're like, how many times you going to keep getting close? No, man, listen, man, they went on ahead and gave him the thing, and they got rid of the old dude.
1:08:16James Harrison:So you got to do something. You got to do something immediately. Immediately. Yep. Immediately. I think he on there just because they ain't, you know. Because they feel like they got the talent. They got Saquon, and they underperformed. And in Philly, they're looking like we got to do something. I don't know. Out of all of them, which one do you think is the most legit?
1:08:37James Harrison:probably probably AG I hate to say I love AG too it's just when you getting that belt yeah yeah let's cut it look here man we want to thank you guys for joining us on this episode of D.Duanjo yes we do please make sure you like subscribe and download where you get your show you can get it anywhere man I think it's on I think it's on It's all over the place.
