The two got into an altercation during Friday's practice after Cousins confronted Crosby for being too physical. According to ESPN, when Crosby hit Cousins twice, the 15-year veteran had enough. Cousins got in the Crosby's face, grabbing the All-Pro's jersey while both exchanged words before it was broken up.

3:04Joe. Yes. Why are you hitting the quarterback?

3:07James Harrison:You're supposed to stay off the quarterback. Is he hitting him or is he touching him? I think he's touching him. I think he's probably hitting him around his arms. You know how the quarterbacks, they don't like to be touched at all. But I think Mad Max, he don't give a damn about it. He don't care about none of that. We're not good on offense. So I'm going, I got to get this turned. Tell your lineman the block for you better. I understand that. Tell the tackle the block for you better. I need to see. I can't. You need to see the film. Yeah, I need to see the film. I can't side with either side right now because if he's being too physical and he's actually, like, hitting him and taking chances of, like, grabbing his arm in the process of throwing the ball and the motion of it, then yes, I can understand that.

3:44Safety first. You can't do that. But if he's just getting there and letting him know, I'm here. Yeah, little taps. Little love taps. I'm here. Yeah, man, just tell your old line, you know, do something better. Don't get mad at him because he's beating. Get mad at the dude getting beat.

3:59James Harrison:Who's getting beat like a drum and keep letting me touch you? Go holler at him. Yeah, go talk to your man. Talk to your man. Because in the real game, your whole back going to be broke. Gone. Gone. Then what? I'm giving you the foresight to let you know. Or he might just be on some man. Is he going against the second team? we want to see Mendoza? Like, man, Kurt, you... Joe, you messy. Why are you messy, Joe? No, I'm not messy. I'm just saying. Browns have got you upset. You done started to get like me. You done got messy. Maybe he do want to see Mendoza. You thinking Mendoza would be ready to go in there and take it over from Kurt?

4:35James Harrison:Not yet. I think, because I think Kurt is a good leader. I think he's showing Mendoza. Mendoza's trying to learn. But how are you trying to show Mendoza that you want to go and grab onto a D-line and make like you were confronting? I mean, this would be, because the court, you know, D-B, honestly, if it's being real, you know, you don't touch the quarterback. Okay, but where is O-line at? It's supposed to be a team fight. They supposed to jump on Crosby. It's supposed to be a team fight. That's what I'm saying. They supposed to jump on him, because at the same time, you don't touch the quarterback.

5:04James Harrison:We need that arm. That arm is live. Everybody else, you know what I'm saying? It could work, but if you hit that quarterback's arm. I know. You got me thinking, Joe. Maybe he wants to see Mendoza. That might be what it is. I think he really just trying to make sure that they got that practice going. He's not rocking with Kirk Cousins. He's a vet. You know what I'm saying? But he's like, unless... I'm out here. I'm Mad Max. I'm still here. I'm still here. Like, block. Block somebody. Come on. And then... I think it's for the energy, man. He's trying to get some... Trying to get some dog into that team.

5:37James Harrison:That's what Mad Max trying to do. Or maybe he upset. He's still there. I don't know. Mm. Self-inflicted wounds. You take your quarterback out of practice, it's kind of crazy. I don't know. Maybe, I don't, you know. I'm starting to think he did it for Mandoza. I'm starting to think maybe he's getting messy. Maybe he's getting, maybe he's getting like Joe. Hey, man. Maybe this process doesn't change. You know what I'm saying? And why he had practice so soon? Wasn't he supposed to be, didn't pass a physical or something, didn't he? You know how that was. I'm just saying, Joe. He was good. He was good to go.

6:15And then they picked up your boy from Cincinnati, right? Yeah. Yeah. Jimmy rigged. Yeah, that's a good one, Joe. That's a good one. Jamar Chase spoke about his one major goal for 2026. The only goal that I have for myself going forward is 20 to 20, get 23 touchdowns. That's in one year. He said, I want to break the record. Yeah. That's my full goal every day. My goal is to be better than I was the last day, trying to get my team better than they were the last day, and just trying to be better than what I was last year and trying to stay more consistent. Technically, he needs 24 to break Randy Moss' receiving touchdown record, but he wants to get 23.

7:10He wanted to break the record, so it means he was just, you know. Yeah. He was just a little confused, that's all. 24 touchdowns. Realistic? That he could break that?

7:22James Harrison:Realistic? I mean, if... Gotta play Steelers twice. They gotta play Steelers twice. Joey Porter and I giving it up. So, 24 is a lot of touchdowns. 24 is a whole lot. I mean, if there's any receiver that could do it, I think Jamar Chase is the one that could. when they get into the red zone. Joe Burrow having a quarter. It takes two. It takes two to tango. You got to have a quarterback that's throwing dots, and you got to be a dog. So I think if you're talking about at the peaks, 24 is crazy. 24 is crazy. But if I'm saying that there's a duo that I think there would be. It ain't too crazy. Don't think about it.

7:59James Harrison:We're at 18 games, all right? 17. 17? 17 games. It's about to be 18. But anyway. That's a touchdown a game in two of them. Two of them and seven. Yeah, four of them. Yeah, you go a three-tutty game and then just, you know what I'm saying? But you can't miss a tutty. You've got to play Steelers twice, so that's going to be a bad one, though. You're averaging. So you've got to, actually it's 15 games, so you've got to average almost two. It's really, look, your team has to be kind of looking out for you. Your quarterback has to be kind of looking out for you. All those, when you get into those red zones and you're down to the one, it might be a quick fade or a quick slant instead of a run play to the running back.

8:38James Harrison:You know what I'm saying? Like, you got to kind of consciously be trying to get some touchdowns instead of, like, you got T. Higgins on your squad too, but sometimes him and Joe Burrow are like, look, we're going for the record. So if he's just in the situation where they're going to fire y 'all. Oh, he going to force it in there to get it? If you're getting 24 tutties at the beginning of the season, I think it would go smooth, natural. If you got, like, 13 by halfway through the season, then you start looking at it. You know what I'm saying? I don't think you start the season, first game. Look, we're trying to go break the record.

9:10James Harrison:Obviously, we're trying to break the record. But naturally, okay, boom, game one, I got three of them things. Hold up. Game two, I caught me two. You know what I'm saying? You four games in. Yeah, yeah. You four games in with 10 tatties. You like this. Hey, yo. Looking like I'm going to get me. All game in with a 10-piece. You got 10 out of the five. You know what I'm saying? So it's just, I think, depending on however you start, how hot you start. And then once you start getting to that number where you, I got 13 tatties already. Like, Joe, come on. You trying to go hang on my history? What you want to do?

9:40James Harrison:You want to be part of this? Look off, bruh, and I'm right over here. Give him this one for the safety to go fly over there. Yeah, and I ain't even gonna take off the line like it's for me. Don't even worry about it. I'm gonna wait till you move. I'm gonna love him. And then I'm gonna... Right inside his head. Can't hit nobody in the head. You know that's illegal. Arm, shoulder, shoulder, same thing. Going back to the 70s and stuff, man. Slapping somebody in the head, that's how they used to try and bust your eardrums. Slapping you in the head. Who's slapping you in the head, Joe? Who's my man?

10:05James Harrison:Larry Fitzgerald. Yep. And you talk positive about that man. He slapped you in your head. I would have did the same thing. I would have did the same thing. I was down there too low. I think he shot for my arm. He just, boom. I said, oh, got me. He ain't scored on me. Listen, man, you let the man slap you in your head. What you want me to do, get the flag? Second man, I got caught. He was all right. True statement. Boom. And now I'm like, oh, no, you didn't. Now I'm flagged for sure. Should have gotten like three plays later. For sure. Three plays later. You got him three plays later. I understand that concept.

10:40I understand that movement. I don't think they understand it, though.

10:43James Harrison:No. Look here. Sitting out there at practice, bro. I think something has changed. Okay. They either getting bigger.

11:00or my necessity and desire or want to collide with people that size anymore is dead. That's what it is, Debo.

11:12James Harrison:It's both. It's both. They're getting bigger, and you thinking about burning into somebody is not in board. I know it's going to hurt really bad. that we actually have sense now, a little bit of sense. Because when we was playing, we was doing the same thing. And I'm looking at them like, oh, man, we were doing that. It was nothing. That's just what expected. Oh, yeah, you just fall. Boom. Oh, get up. Nothing happened. Right now, I'm thinking about it. We're talking about it. My hip and my back both started hurting during us talking right here. Right. I'm telling you, man. I'm out there. I'm looking.

11:47I'm like, damn, how big is that dude? He did it. I'm like, damn, I used to go against Max Starks. He was like 6 '7", you know, 360. I'm like, he ain't even that big. I'm like, but he look way bigger than that right now. I don't even know why. And then the dude, like, I ain't even lie, man.

12:02James Harrison:The quarters is looking like linebackers. Bro, that's what I'm saying. Even Joey Porter Jr., and I thought it was pads. Bruh! I thought it was people that had pads. Joey Porter walked up on us, no pads. I'm still like, he's way bigger than me. Bruh. Bruh. Yeah, I don't know what they feel. I don't know what's going in the water, man. But whatever it is, it ain't. And you want to run it to somebody. Listen, y 'all don't understand the concept of running your body into somebody full speed. I think about a year ago, I lost the desire, the want to. Like, you can pay me as much as you want,$50 million.

12:38I'm not putting my body out there. Because I honestly, truly believe I might die. This is what I think it is, too, Debo.

12:45James Harrison:We don't the respect that we have for the people that are out there putting their body onto the lines like how much they're Working on the offseason how real swole they really are you didn't stop training So there was no stop like you was getting needles. You was lifting you doing all that stuff That had us brainwashed to now once you I know for me I'm sitting I'm chilling a little bit and now I'm looking out there like this. There's no way I Would I would hurt myself For real, bro. Destroyed my whole life in the process of trying to go out there. Just thinking about actually having to cut when he makes a cut and react to him.

13:26I don't even feel like my ligaments go hold up to that right now. That's what I'm saying. You would be non-contact injury out there. You just running this, boom, thing. Like the running backs, bro. Just the thud up with a running back right now. It's like, I say I can hold the corner of the edge. Remember I said I... Yeah, you did say that. I said, man, I hold the edge until I'm 60. Yeah. I don't even know if I want to. No. Because I mean I got to bend my knees. You got to do more than that.

13:54James Harrison:I got to put pressure against pressure. You got Max coming across. You got Mount Washington leaning on you. Right now, man. At 314. Damn, I know something. I'm talking about I got to get... What's going on? You just getting older. You just, you know what I'm saying? Because you don't got to do it no more, D-Bow. You know that's the thing? You did it at the highest level, or the best of the best, for sure. You did your time. You did your time, brother. That's why I'm sitting like that's why I don't let them, I don't know. I'm sounding like this Pillsbury Doughboy. Like, they done poked me in my stomach.

14:29No. T-Fo chill. No, I might have to go out there and die one time just to make sure I got it. No, no. Let me see, man. Let me talk to Mike McCartney, man,

14:41James Harrison:When we walked by him, you saw he was looking. He was like, oh, so y 'all want to go practice? He did say, he did say. He said, well, you want to go practice? You seen me. I kept it pushing. He talking to you. Your arms are out. I'm going to came back, and I'm going to say, hell yeah, I want to go to practice. Pad me up. Give me a one-day contract. See how I feel about it. Tomorrow. I'm going to try and find it. Bro, please. Remember the time was you at the training camp when the dude came out of the crowd and was dressed up in the pants and snuck into the drills? When he was standing over there with the Troy Palamato on the mat talking about he was about to get some practice time.

15:20James Harrison:He was getting reps. He had to practice pants. This man. The visor. Brother, next thing I know, D-Bo, I'm standing there. He's next to me in one-on-ones. I'm like... He was waiting this turn. Go ahead. Get in. To get him a rep. Bro. How the hell did he make it in? All the way in. Listen, this dude was full dressed in Troy Palamalu gear. We have to have it. He was on the football field. He was on the field. Gear on. Pants. Jersey. We're doing one-on-ones. Dude. I need one. Shit. What? He's a brother. I didn't even notice until y 'all pointed him out. I'm like, who is it? Baby Troy. Little 43. Little teeny.

16:04James Harrison:Yeah, he was. But. You talking about victim weight, he was 130. Bruh. Maybe. Soaking wet. Did he do a rap? Bruh. I think we might have let him do a rap though. Nah, they might have got him out of there. No, they got him out of there, bruh. He was about to line up. They got him out of there. He lined up and they got him out of there. Okay, I'm telling you, because I was standing there laughing. I'm like, oh, go ahead in there, bruh. He got in and then they escorted him out. Bruh. That was hilarious. Bruh, just watching the O-line, D-line Go against each other, bro. Like, it just, it sounds like Rams, dude.

20:24Listen, it was no tackling. It was no tackling, but it's called rapping. Rapping thud. Thud and rap. Hit, rap, let him go, keep running.

20:33James Harrison:I'd rather it be live than it be thud. Yeah, because you don't want to have to hit nobody high. Because I want to take somebody's legs out. You want to hurt somebody so you don't get hurt. You want to hurt somebody so you don't get hurt. Not hurt, not hurt. Just tackle them. I'm just sweeping from the bottom. Sweeping from the bottom. I don't want to hurt them. I know what you're saying. I know what you're saying. I'm trying to negotiate keeping my body safe. And you're not allowing me to do that. Yeah. You're not allowing me to do that. Because then I'm going to come thug. That's when you got to come in there with that force.

21:01Force got to meet force. And you got to realize you got to come in there with body control and still with enough lean that you don't get knocked down and you don't get shook.

21:13James Harrison:See, that's a lot. instead of me just going after the legs. That's why it's better. That's open and wrapping. That's why it's better on forcing you to get into a practice habit. Now when you get into the game, you get in that same position. Now you can shoot at the legs. Shoot through. For sure. Shoot through, not to. You're talking about getting in that position of thud. I'm going to put my pads on you. Stop you. Yeah, he thinking you go thudding. He might just drop his shoulder and then you just straight through his legs. Yeah, no, for sure. That's what I was doing. I was getting into the position, D-Bow.

21:41James Harrison:Trust me, I was in thud position. That's why I wasn't missing the tackles. I'm right there. I'm even doing this. I'm like this. I'm like. You giving her the fake. I'm about to. I'm like, I'm thinking like I'm out. You're making like you about to go hit him in his mouth. I thought you lift weights. I do. But that's longevity. Not that many. It's longevity. When I was first, I'm just trying to hit everybody up top. Then my shoulder, AC joints. Got janky. I said, yeah. Bruh, I had that shot up. How many more years do I need? I need more years. I tried to go in the AC joint. 12 weeks straight. Right to the AC.

22:15Shot up 12 weeks straight. Yup. I was good after the first, probably six, or four or five. And then I did it again in the game and didn't know it till the number wear off. And I was like, oh, I can't move my arm again. That AC joined in no joint. Bro, here's the crazy thing is, I was lifting dumbbells. Cause you know, you can only do dumbbells Yeah. Cause you can't regular bench. But I got 140 in this hand. and I got 20 in this hand and it feel like the same weight. See? Bruh. Man, this shit all the way shot. 140 to a dub. Bruh, I was out, dude, it was two, two Saturdays. I went and got an epidural to play on Sunday because I couldn't get out of bed.

23:02They had to come get me one time. Yeah. Bruh. I can't even think, no, in my back. In your back? That was my, that was, that was your, what was the worst one you got, the back? Oh, yeah, the back. I had two micro-dissex meets in seven days. Because I didn't get it, bro. So they went back in. I played with that. That was Super Bowl. The Super Bowl that you had to pick? Super Bowl that we lost. Oh. I played 12 weeks with that. It was two weeks, 2010. It was two weeks. You were shooting that up, though. Bro, I was literally, Saturday morning, they had to come get me. Take me to the hospital. Put me down on the, you know, thing.

23:41shoot it right into my spine s1 l4 uh um l5 that's one yes boom as soon as they hit it i can feel it because it goes no pang no like yeah dude they was hitting that it was hitting that with like a like a 16 or 18 gauge bro it's no numbing it's no numbing you better man than me right you better Like, I think it was like two-inch needle. Because they got to get through all that. Yeah. And I was just like this, bro. I'm just like this. Go ahead. Because back then, I had to sit like this. Exposed. And then they go into the back.

24:22James Harrison:Wow, that was crazy, bro. That's why I got my bulge and this in my joint right down there. Right now. You got it now? Yeah, I've been at it. I've been at it since college. That's on my low back. Yeah, S1 and L5, bulge, right now. Been doing that since... Listen, Joe. ...2006? Mount came in here and sat next to you, boy. It was an ugly situation for you. If you had to tackle that, it's over. You know what I'm doing to Mount. And I'm giving him the same... He's gonna jump over you. That's fine. That's why we need pursuit. Where's the pursuit? Where's the rest of my team? Where's everybody at? If he jump over you, you ain't slowed him down, Joe.

25:05James Harrison:You got to come up there and you got to take one for the 20. He's going, I'm going to hit something. He's not going to completely jump over me. I'm going to give him all this, Debo. Look, first and foremost, he's not going to be thinking I'm cutting his legs. When I give him that. Yes, he is. No, when I give him the high, I give him the. You coming in there at five. Full speed. Ten. On my tippy toes. At best. He thinking, oh, Joe wants some smoke. Oh, he's tripping. And I'm like, yeah. Psyche. Got him.

25:34James Harrison:That is just what I do to this big ass. Tip toes, tip toes, tip toes. Low. Got him. Joe, that man go high hurdle your ass. But look, look, look. That's fine. Because I'm going to, look, I did. But look, it did. Just run in there and go sideways like that. If he jump over me, by the time he jump over me, I'm throwing my arm and I'm trying to kick my leg up in the air so I can just catch his heel. Because then he can't land. He's going to be going over the top. Big brother landed on his shoulder. Now he's hurt. Stay on your feet, big man. Run him over. Trying to jump over that victim weight corner.

26:13James Harrison:You know what I'm saying? I ain't going to lie to you. You got to jump when they go to Doug. I'm coming like this. And if you jump over me. I ain't going to lie. Pursuit. Listen, Joe, when I used to play, I like playing against people that are tall like that. Get up under them. See? Round the block, let's go ahead and do that. See? Well, ain't this about a blimpy-rimpy. What's up, Watt? Oh, they got you mic'd up already. That's good. How you doing, brother? Good, man. What's up, Watt? How you doing, baby? Good, good, good. Pleasure, pleasure. Yes, sir.

26:53Uh, your dad is senior then, huh? Yeah, yeah. Okay, I'm a junior, too. Okay, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You got son? Yep. Third. Come on, man. Yeah. I'm the third. You got to go with it. I got a son. That's the fourth. Come on. We keeping it going. You got to go with it, man. Hey, man. So, the Coats, right? Yep. You were talking about. Yeah, okay. So, you were with the Coats. From the transition to the Coats to over here and then with the addition of Mike McCartney, when Pittsburgh initially called you to sign you, what was your thought process and what you were thinking as far as your understanding and knowledge of what it is to join the Pittsburgh school?

27:36Yeah, so people think it was a surprise. It really wasn't. So I kind of had like a hand in kind of picking like which direction like that I was going to go. So I actually chose Pittsburgh because I thought it was the best situation like with Mike and then with Aaron coming back, which I didn't know for sure like at that time, I had hints that he was strongly considering it. And I kind of bet on that, knowing that there were two other guys at the time, and now we have three of them that are all doing well. And I just always felt like the Steeler way, just like the bully football, was really just like my type of ball.

28:18And every time I played against the Steelers, I would always get tore up. I got blasted at least one time. And I was like, all right, well, maybe if I play for them, they can't hit me like this. Oh, I love that. Bruh, that is funny, man.

28:44Hey, all right, I guess they took the camera off. Let me know if y 'all going to do that. I thought we was waiting. Yeah, me too.

28:54James Harrison:You spoke a little bit about Aaron Rodgers, though, man. It's about you trying to think about playing with him, didn't know if he was coming back. What are the differences between Aaron Rodgers and Danny Dimes? Yeah, I mean, both of them are great quarterbacks, and obviously Danny still has a lot left to go because he's a younger guy. Aaron is probably going to finish one of the best players to ever play this sport. Probably the biggest difference just in the offense as a whole is you can check to any play at any time. We can call one thing and Aaron doesn't like it. He's going to check a whole new play and we're going to run it.

29:34And you've got to know every single signal. So obviously getting thrown into that. Aaron doesn't really wait on you. And if you don't know, you better catch up. So getting thrown into that fire has definitely enhanced the way that I study for sure. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, how much, because I know we were told that you guys actually go to Aaron's house's offense on off day and y 'all sit there and y 'all watch the film, you know, eat, communicate, do some team bonding. How much of that time and experience does generate or actually translate to the field where y 'all get that, you know, as I said before with other guys, that unspoken communication?

30:14Absolutely. I think it's just the aspect of being together and being able to have the confidence in one another and being able to walk up to them like, hey, I'm seeing this. I think that we should do this. Because there's a lot of situations where players just aren't comfortable talking to other players because they think, oh, he's a super vet. He's done this. But we don't really have that. And Aaron wants to talk to everybody, whether you're the number one, you're the third string guy. So I think that's something that's awesome for sure. OK, so for you this year, what does a successful year look like?

31:00And, you know, I'm I'm talking whether it be numbers, whether it be team goals or individual goals. What does success look like to you this year? Yeah, I mean, I think it starts with the AFC North, and then obviously AFC, Super Bowl. I think that's where it starts. You hear what he said? That's what success is. Okay? It's championships, Lombardis. That's what the Steelers is about. Go ahead, man. I didn't mean to stop. Absolutely, yeah. And honestly, anything else that comes with that, I mean, like, that's great. But ultimately, we're just trying to stack wins. And at the end of the year, I mean, if the stat line's great, you know, then that's just a bonus.

31:42And then that leads to other things. No ego. It's all team. You hear what he said? That right there? That's a Pittsburgh Steelers mentality.

31:50James Harrison:So I know you're not shy. You let some people into the fam. You and your wife. You all have a YouTube channel. Yeah. When did you start to get into that, bro? Yeah, because I've seen you blocking pictures of the kids and all that stuff on Instagram and stuff. So we started back in college before we had kids, and we got to a certain point around my second year in the NFL where it had grown so big that there were just a couple incidents in public that my wife wasn't comfortable with. Because when people watch you, they feel like they know you. So fans would come up and they would talk to my daughter that we didn't know, and they're like, hey, Mila, this, this, and that.

32:32And it just made her feel unsafe. And then also just opens you up to a lot of negative comments. And she's not used to being in that spotlight. And I think that it was affecting her mental health. And for the longest time, I couldn't understand it because I'm like, people get on TV and slander me professionally. And you can't handle a troll. But I had to look at it through her lens. And it just wasn't worth it. So we ended up stopping. Okay. Man. You know what? The hardest thing people don't understand to do, especially when you're young and you're actually, you know, and especially in the media y 'all grew up in, like y 'all social media everywhere, is being able to look at something and not respond to it.

33:19Oh, yeah. And when you continually see the same person doing it, like, and to not respond to it, That right there, dude, is the most, like, individually, like, strongest thing you can do in life, man, is, like, to not respond to it. I used to have cats, man. You know who I'm talking about. You got me, bro. Bruh. That boy, Mike Mitchell, he could not help this. Oh, for sure. Oh, man. My boy, Mike, could not help this. Mike Mitchell straight KD. He's going to go right smack back at you. Bruh. I'm like, dude, don't say that. I'm like, they're going to screenshot it. He's like, I don't care. They're going to screenshot it.

33:56Yeah, I actually was coached by Mike. Mike coached in Indy for like two years. That's what I was going to get to next. How was that? How was that? What kind of coach was he, man? Mike was always fired up. He wanted guys to hit and tackle in practice. And anytime the defense won anything, I mean, it could be a rock, paper, scissors match. He wasn't getting allowed. So he definitely brought it every single practice for sure.

34:22James Harrison:I like that. But you made a good point, too, about just that social media, with being able to, like, people go at you all the time. Oh, yeah. It's like they think that they know you when they see you on there, like, introducing the family and stuff. So that's good stuff to be able to get out of there. Absolutely. And, like, it's good because you get to connect, like, with people that, like, you would never have, like, just, like, had, like, access to. But you got to know how, like, to manage it, too. And sometimes it can get a little uncomfortable, for sure. Yeah. So with you, DK, how much, without you giving away anything, how much will it be interchangeable where it don't matter where you're at?

35:05It could be changed up just because of it being you two in those positions. Absolutely. Like that's exactly it is we can both play anywhere and we're both like bigger body guys. so we can do our pass game, run game too, and just being able to play inside, outside. I've heard DK's done a couple things, like out of the backfield. We haven't put that in in Mike's offense yet, but who knows. So we're like Swiss Army Knives, and if he's getting doubled, then great. Then, like, I get to get off. And if I'm getting doubled, great. Then, like, he's going to get off. So it's going to be fun for sure. Yeah.

35:48Come on, man. Yeah, I'm hoping this will be a lot of fun.

35:51James Harrison:Big, strong receivers that can block and take you up top. Ah, question. I asked this to the tight ends. I asked this to Washington. Which one? A pancake block on a linebacker or a touchdown? I mean, it depends on the score. Ha, facts. You already up. We already up by what? Seven. Oh, touchdown. Tuddy. Now, if we're up by, like, 21 plus, and it's, like, that same backer that's been talking that smack, like, all game, then I'll take that, like, all day. But if we only up seven, I'm taking the tub for sure. Facts. You up seven. Tud. Hold on. Hold on. You up seven. You up seven. Three seconds left.

36:41Touchdown with Panther. Honestly, you just got to take the knee, because if I get a pancake, you get an opportunity to get the linebacker that's running his mouth. I risk getting a penalty and then something happening. So you probably just got to take that knee. Come on, man.

37:02James Harrison:That's why I love it. We got a leader. What are you worried about the touchdown? He ain't hitting that. You worried about the play. The game's over. What are we still waiting for? Yeah, that's right. I'm healthy. I'm healthy. Why are you sitting? He's like, why am I out there? Matter of fact, I'm not in the game, D-Bow. Why am I out there? Oh, man. He's supposed to be able to start drinking Gatorade. That's a great man right there. Leader. Yo, I appreciate you. Leader. I appreciate you. Thank you, man. We appreciate you coming out, man. Take a little time for us, man. Anytime. The shit you ducked out on us, you know what I'm saying, last time.

37:36It was supposed to happen. My man, appreciate you, buddy. Marco Pittman Jr., ladies and gentlemen.

37:44James Harrison:Man, he tall. These dudes are taller than I thought, and man, they weighs more than I thought. Because, look at Michael Payne. I don't understand his concept, bro. Bro, that's what I'm talking about. DK Metcalf was playing, so I just felt like he still was huge, but now... I didn't feel like he was that big, though. I didn't. I did. I did. I did. I felt like he was that big. The mentality of being a, um... But I wasn't spooked, though. I ain't spooked, but I ain't going out there. That's what I'm saying. I mean, when I'm saying spooked... Like, if they talking like James go out there and play...

38:26Nah.

38:27James Harrison:Because it didn't matter. It didn't matter, dude. I'm strapping you. I don't care how tall you are, how fast you are. I don't care about going to sleep. None of that. I don't care about going to sleep. Night build me.

38:41I don't even know if I want to hit him low because I might hit my head on his knee.

38:45James Harrison:See, there you go. See, do we already... How am I going to fall? Am I going to just... Am I going to land on top of me after I cut him? Because now, is he going to roll on me? I got to hit and roll. That's the way they taught us to take out the linemen on the pulls. Cut and roll so you can take out everybody else behind him. You ain't allowed to do that no more. I know. That's what I'm saying. That's back in the day. Yeah, you can't even cut Lyman no more. No. You got to go. Saturday, August 22nd in Tampa. Witness an MMA legend's final fight. Man, I used to get so mad, bro.

42:47That's not. Like a scream?

42:48James Harrison:That's crazy that it took away the you can't cut alignment. 180 pounds, 330 coming around the corner at you off of a... That's bad. It's just physics. Sometimes it's physics. Yeah, that's bad. You got to let me chop him down and then roll and take down anybody else behind. Hopefully, if I get stepped on, that's on me. Well, you know, it doesn't got different, man. They used to have four-man wedges. Yeah. And that was a backup offensive lineman. Yes. I used to just blam them. I can't even think of a process. Holding hands. Holding hands. Yes. Locked up.

43:28Joe, man, you know how sick you had to be to think that that was something good to do and run through? Bruh, I was a five.

43:35James Harrison:You know what, though, Debo? Somebody's had to do it. Hey, everybody got something dirty about their job, right? A thousand percent. Everybody got something dirty with their job. And them dudes, that might be your only job. Bro, your kids didn't pass yet? No, not yet. I'm telling you right now, bro. You over there, you gonna be sweating like a... I already know. I already know. I've never worried more about anything in my life than I did my kids. Brother, because you know why? You ain't got no control. Somebody come bomb your son. Dude, and you can't do nothing. Oh! They ain't in the process. I'm like, yo, man, that look like that might have tore something.

44:18You know what I'm saying? I'm like, man, what is going on?

44:21James Harrison:I got to watch out for the kids, man. No, they still ain't got no pads on, D, but we still got flags on. Hey, keep the flags on. We still got flags on. Keep the flags on. I want to do that at least until... No, how old are they? Nine and seven. Ten. Ten. Get him in pads at ten. At ten. Now, get him in pads at ten. And here's the thing. Your son, your younger son, go get started earlier, too, because you ain't going to want to go to padded practice. And then the flag. We got one stop. I'm just telling you, that's what happened with me. My son James started at that 10, 11. Then Henry got to start.

44:53He's two years behind. He got to start sooner because of that. Like, it's no flipping back and forth. But what you want to do, man, is you want to get them used to giving and taking a hit and knowing how to. If you don't do that, man, they get to that 14, 15, 16-year-old and they try and start switching over to pads. Man, them boys out there, grown men. Yeah, they already ready to go.

45:14James Harrison:They know what's going on. So around 10, it's because I started. They've been in need. When did you start playing tackle? I think it was like 9 or 10. 9 or 10, OK. I started playing at 7. Look at you, baby. Yeah, no, no, for sure, for sure. You good. Yeah. We might want to start immediately that year. No, for sure. Because my 10-year-old, Joey, he wasn't really rocking with it yet. So I think now he's finally wanting to play tackle. So he's going to be good. And then my youngest son, Jet, he's ready. He wanted to smoke when he was three. That's the one that was Pittsburgh? Yes. No surprise there.

45:50James Harrison:No surprise there. So, like, he ready for smoke.

45:56I'm just saying, man. I'm just saying. I mean, you know what I'm saying? It's okay, man. You know, he got used to a different... You know, he got... He was around a different vibe, a different standings. You know what I'm saying? And, you know, your oldest son, you know, he was around a different vibe, a different standings. We see what they're doing over here right now in Cleveland. We see what they've been doing in Cleveland. You know what I'm saying? Confusion, disruption. It's just a quarterback situation right now. Stories, lies. It's just a quarterback situation right now.

46:20James Harrison:It just lies with the quarterback situation. Everything else is looking good. Everything else is looking good. So everything else is looking good but the quarterback situation. But everything they say runs. Through the quarterback. What's your quarterback? I know. That's why it's a big deal, but not as big of a deal. Because we always had a quarterback problem. Like you said. It's been 35, 40 quarterbacks since I was there. So once we find that one, it's always that. Defense, good. Receivers, we just got bomb. We just drafted. Nice. Running back. When are you going to find him? Harold Fanning Jr.

46:53But, Joe, I need to know, when are you going to find that quarterback? If we're going to. That's my only problem. I don't know when you're going to find the quarterback. At least the team is getting good enough so we can have weapons around.

47:04James Harrison:Shadour right now and whatever. and hopefully for Deshaun to show that he can still be a quarterback in the league. If it still goes bad for us, we got two first-round picks, and then pick somebody in the draft that you actually do like and take them in the first. But you got them from who? It don't matter who we got them from. Didn't you get them from the Rams? And according to the Rams, they're supposed to be winning. But we got ours, too. That's going to be your 30-second. We got ours, too. Y 'all got a janky, terrible one? Man, depending on what place we come in, we're going to get ours. You know?

47:39If he doesn't do good, we get a higher pick. All right, if you say so, Joe. If you say so. I don't want that to be the defining factor, but... The defining factor is this right here, Joe. We actually got covenant life right there. Covenant? What covenant to talk about? What covenant talking about? Let's see. is hearing y 'all talk about how big they are. But we was. Go ahead. What that mean? Huh? Covenant life. Covenant life. Listen to your name, baby. Oh, shit, dude. Covenant. Covenant life. How, what we talking about? Okay. Y 'all looking and sounding like, get someone else to do it. Listen, right now, hell yeah.

48:36Get somebody else to do it. What I look like going out there, I'm almost 50 years old. I got kids to age them out there. I got kids to age them. I don't even like wrestling with my kids too much no more.

48:49James Harrison:I got too much respect for myself and for the game to go out there and embarrass my goddamn self. She said, I feel bad for you, Joe, and your browns. Dang. Yeah, well, I appreciate it. Covered it. It's tough times right now. She feel bad for you. Because when we get false information from the coach 45 minutes before practice, it makes you... She said, not really. But you look good in that number five. Thank you. Not really. I just... Who's the number five, Joe? That's Jalen Ramsey right now. Jalen Ramsey? That's my good man, Ramsey. Who was it when you took it? When I took it, this is my college number.

49:26James Harrison:So I just... You stole it? Yep. But whose number was it when you stole it? I don't know. I don't know. You just stealing shit. No, I just said, man, I went to the back. You just stole that out of the locker room? No. Out of the equipment room? Yeah. I didn't steal it, though. You just said yeah. I didn't mean yeah. I mean, I went to the equipment room and I got it. They gave it to me. Who? The equipment manager. Somebody gave it to you? Yeah. You got a name. I had this like two years ago. I've had this for two years. I didn't just get it. You know what I'm saying? So you didn't just get it. No.

50:05You had it two years ago. Yes.

50:07James Harrison:So they gave it to you. Yes, they gave it to you. So you were where that went. You know what else? McCarthy has changed some aspects of you. He definitely did. Oh, man. Yeah. Yeah. And I like business. Business. This is a business. 100 % business. You know where you're not at? A family reunion. That's what I realized. You are not at a family reunion. that you are at the Pittsburgh Steelers training camp. Yes. And you know what we have right now? Training camp. We got training camp. And you know who we are? Media. Media. And you know where you want us to be? In the media area. In the media. You understand that?

50:44Get your ass in the media area. Okay? You family and friends, uh-uh, don't have your, don't be coming around here. I don't care if you're a little bit. Don't be walking around here on this steel. Uh-uh, get your ass to the tent. We got work to do. It's a tent over there for the family. Listen. And it's a turn for the media. I don't need your kids running around. Nothing like that, man. He knows, kid. Get him back. Bad ass. You can't control him. Get your son over there. Dude, it's business. It's business. You don't get to take your kids to work every day. The kids don't even come to work every day.

51:14Maybe one day. Maybe one day. Maybe one day. Maybe one day. Mm-mm. It's 100 % business. I'm mocking with that. Your boy, he back. Practice isn't moving, bud. Your boy, he back. but i'm loving i'm loving the changes that he's made i know i now i'm understanding and seeing what some of the older guys are talking about yes and their uh disdain or or or or disapproval or having a hard time adjusting yeah because of how things were done for so long oh yeah so i understand you know what they're talking about but they need to understand something that this is a business first and foremost 1000 everything that you do here is about winning championships you are paid to work here you're not paid to have a little family get together you know every other day or whatever it may be and i think that's a big thing of why we have especially older guys are like yo it's different like yeah it's being ran how you would

52:27James Harrison:run a normal business yeah i mean especially when coach come in off the rip you're going to change i could see how you would start off being the hardest that you're going to be you know i'm saying everything no we're switching up the whole thing is just going to be raining boom boom boom boom so you can go get into the season you start figuring stuff out but when you initially come in here there's no no nobody what are we talking about guys but see this thing they don't understand or realize is when coach t first came in dude we grinded like a dog yeah no that you that was part of i believe why we wipe out we were we were like almost spent by time we got to the playoffs and we ended up losing to jacksonville home like because we grinded so hard through training camp and and we didn't have you know all the stuff like you had the you know the the time of year where you You have the family thing.

53:17But other than that, you didn't have how it ended up being, where I had my kids here with me, bro. I had my kids sleeping with me, bro. They sleeping in the dorm with me and going to practice. They jumping in the cold tub. They doing all that stuff. No, ain't none of that cracking down here. I ain't tripping on that. You just got to understand it's this different regime. And the process of how he runs things and how he's been successful, that's how he does it. I have no problem with it. You just got to get in line and keep it moving.

53:47James Harrison:All coaches aren't the same. All coaches aren't the same. They're going to have their own way that they want to run stuff. And especially when you come to a new team, you got to establish what the hell you got going on. So this is the way it's going to be here. I don't give a damn about none of that. And then you can start giving Leach as you see fit. But off the rip? No, everything's shut down. No, nothing at all. We're playing football here. We're here to play football. CT,$2. Great. Did he say get show my guys he made great great? He made great Come back and put another two dollars in there.

54:21Put great. Go ahead CT. Hey, man CT. Hey look here coming to life She back again. She said Debo I Don't know what you're saying there, but She said I thought you were asking Mike to allow you to suit up so let's get it done don't be scared actually he asked me if I wanted to shoot up did he asked me he did he said hey hey when he looked at Joe he said why is he wearing a jersey I know he don't play for us when he looked at me he said hey you want you want to practice you want a jersey take it off his back. He's going to take it off his back.

55:08James Harrison:Come on. Oh, that's messed up. One day contract on deck. That's what I'm talking about. One day contract. I'm trying to tell you. I'm going to go ahead and see, Joe. Yeah, Debo, I ain't going to lie, man. You got the deck contract. Your arm's still big. Man, I'm trying to tell you. Listen, man. We got$5. What is that? King Entertainment Music. Yes. $9.37. $5. said, Debo, tell Joe he got a whisper when he talks about the Browns clowns in the Steelers facility. Hey, listen, listen, listen, listen. You don't need to whisper because we like hearing the disruption, the dysfunction that's going on. They want to, we want to hear it because we know.

55:49You know what I'm saying? When we go get up to training camp with y 'all guys. With the Browns? With the Browns. Man, listen.

55:56James Harrison:It's a lot going on. I don't even know if they're going to let you in there, though. Yeah, man. It's a lot going on right now. Quarterback situations, me and you, we're going to figure it out. I need some... Yeah, it's a little sensitive sometimes, man. I got to be more careful. They're going to be real sensitive after they hear this one right here. I ain't going to lie to you. I don't even know if you're going to be... You ain't going to lie to me. I mean, they ain't lying to me. Joe, I care about you. They don't. I'm just saying, that's what I feel like. I ain't saying they don't, but I mean...

56:28You're going to go in as a Brown into the Hall of Fame. So I guess they get what they get from you because you're going to do what you do. The thing is, I believe.

56:39James Harrison:I'm one of the only people that would be positive, honest about the Browns. What do you believe? I believe that they're going to be good. I believe that we're getting a good line. I believe that we're finally getting some receivers. Our defense has never been trashed. We need a quarterback. And everybody keeps saying, we need a quarterback. But now we've got a quarterback for the low. Let's see if he's going to be able to be good to play. And if not, we're going to lose a bunch of games again. We've got two first-round picks. Use our pick. If our team is sucking the game, we're going to get a high one.

57:07James Harrison:And double it up with whoever the Rams pick that we got. Go get the number one overall. You want the number one? If that's what we need. Who are quarterbacks today? All these quarterbacks in the jump. Hey, hey, hey, listen. All right, pick one. That is a good thing. That sounds very good. Right? That actually makes sense. But the Rams won't do it. We're going to go to Mike Mike 100. $2. He said, Debo and Joe, go train with the team real quick. You want to train with the team real quick? See, I could do that. I know it's doing training camp. CT just sent another$2 and said, yeah. He didn't even say nothing.

57:39He just knew it was. He just knew it was great. It was great. It was great. Yes. Thank you, CT. Thank you, CT. Appreciate that. Yeah. Look here, man. CT came back with another$2 and said, great show, guys. Come on, CT.

57:51James Harrison:That's my CT. He got his fingers. He on the phone? He typing on the phone? Oh, man. Hey, man, who is that, man? Who is Teddy right under here, man? Who is Teddy Thomas, man? One-day contract, two-day vet. Hey, man, he must know me. That was my name, my rookie year, two-day vet. Two-day vet? Yeah, they said I was there for two days, and I was acting like a vet. Hey, man, I'm done messing with y 'all, man. Look here. Thank y 'all for joining us on this episode of Devo and Joe, man. We will be back here tomorrow, hopefully outside, man. Yes. Hopefully it's a beautiful day. We'll get you that scenery that we have behind us, man.

58:30James Harrison:Beautiful scenery. And you'll get to see everything that we'll get to see. We look forward to having you back here tomorrow outside. Joke. Joke. See y 'all tomorrow. Same time, same place. Let's get it. We out.
