In short

Sports talk focused on (1) the Knicks blowing a big lead in Game 1 and what it means for Game 3, (2) Cleveland Browns offseason issues involving star DE Miles Garrett not meeting new head coach Todd Monken yet, plus Monken’s comments about interceptions in 7-on-7, and (3) Aaron Rodgers saying he’ll retire after the 2026 season with the Steelers.

Guest backgrounds

Hosts are James “D-Bo” Harrison and Joe Hayden, both long-time sports fans/commentators. No other guests appear in this transcript.

Key claims

The Knicks’ collapse is blamed on coaching/timeout management and defensive matchups (James Harden on Jalen Brunson; leaving Josh Hart too open). Miles Garrett is portrayed as “chilling” and prioritizing readiness over mandatory early activities; Monken is portrayed as favoring Deshaun Watson because Watson didn’t throw a 7-on-7 interception while other QBs did. Rodgers’ retirement is framed as “final hurrah,” with incentives tied to playing time and playoff wins.

Notable examples

Knicks up 22 with ~7:40 left, then losing; 7-on-7 interceptions by Shador and Dylan Gabriel; Rodgers contract incentives (75% snaps requirement; $625k per playoff win).

5:35James Harrison:Welcome back to this episode of D-Bo and Joe. I'm your host, James D-Bo Harrison, and I'm here with my co-host, Joe Hayden. Please make sure you like, subscribe, and download where you get your show. How you doing today, Joe? I'm doing all right. Hey, Joe. You know what's so crazy, Joe? What's up, bro? I ain't gonna lie to you, bro. I ain't gonna lie to you. I ain't gonna lie to you at all. When I seen New York at one, and we finally got that thing back tied 1-1? We 1-1 now? No, no, no. We not. What are you talking about, bro? Y 'all blew us out. I went to sleep with eight minutes left. What is you talking about the first game?

6:13James Harrison:It was over. What are you talking about? It's done. I know. You telling me we won? No, we're down 2-0. No! I'm New York. You're New York. Yes. You're up. You're up. You're up 2-0. What happened? I went to sleep with like eight minutes left in the game. Yo, what's up by like 22 or something? What happened? That was game one. I know. That's what I'm saying. That's why I thought it was 1-1 because I just went to bed. I never even checked again. Then I saw it was, you know, one a day last night, you know, and then that had to be. So what happened? What happened? Eight minutes. It was like eight minutes when I went to bed, left in the gate.

6:49James Harrison:That's up by like 22. What happened? In my soul, I was hurt. I was hurt. We was up 22. But that's not telling me what happened. Your soul got hurt, and that's why they lost? No. This is what happened. Coaching. This is what happened. Coaching. They went on a run where we needed to call a timeout. We switched James Harden onto Jalen Brunson. You can't be calling all your timeouts. Sometimes you got to save. We need to call it. When they get, it's called momentum. It's called momentum. I mean, sometimes you got to save them, though. Some people like to save them. No. Save them for what? Don't you go to save them?

7:24James Harrison:I don't know. I'm just saying. That's what I'm saying. There's nothing to save them for. He's saving them for no reason. saving them for no reason. We needed to burn the timeouts. It was coaching. It was James Harden switched on to Jalen Brunson and got barbecued. We needed to leave D-Wade and Max Struess on Jalen Brunson. We were doing a great job. At that point, Deebo, we're up seven minutes and 22 seconds by 22 points. And I started calculating how much time is left with the possessions. How many more possessions that we have to have because I think we started playing not to not to lose we started missing shots people weren't getting back on defense Brunson started getting on fire that ain't how you play not to lose missing shots ain't how they were just really like I felt like we were clock watching when we were up by 22 we were trying to get buckets everybody was scoring during the second we needed to call the timeout it got ugly it got bad I was oh they put in the twos huh Jalen Brunson started barbecuing no we needed to call time out it was clock management it was Jalen Brunson going crazy we need I don't know how you lose I went to sleep y 'all was like we were down by like 22 and I went to sleep it was like maybe like no eight minutes left something 7 40 something I don't know but I know I know I know I ain't gonna lie to you D-Bo that was one of I was I'm a I had I gotta relax because I was so I watched the whole game and saw it happening right in front of my eyes, and I was genuinely hurt.

8:52James Harrison:I was sad. And then the second, and then again. I got a tear of joy in my eye from that. Harden was getting barbecued. My man Brunson was doing it. What did Harden do? You know Harden ain't got no defense. It was a defense. It was just a defense. We didn't need. Look, we didn't need to put him on Brunson. And then game two, listen, I understand. Hey. Get the ball. No, no, no. We need to get the ball out of Brunson's hands. We got to get out of Brunson's hands. But Josh Hart, he's still an NBA player. There's a such thing as lagging off and there's a such thing as leaving him wide open. Jerry Allen, we need a little, I understand we need just a little contest.

9:33James Harrison:Give him a hand. He's sitting there wide open, just passing it to him. Josh Hart killed us too. I don't know how you make a him wide, but I was trying. Yeah, man. All I know is this. Call him Mr. Hart. It was a sad, sad... I'm still... I'm not counting this out. Because at the same time, we got to go defend home court. It's only two games. But when you lose one in that fashion that we should have stole, it was like it was 1-0. Hold on. No, no, no. It wasn't a steal. We was up by 22. We're not supposed to lose that game. We're not supposed to lose that game at all. I just knew it. I went to bed, man.

10:14James Harrison:And I just, I just, I didn't even, I didn't even look at it, man. I should have knew something, but I mean. We got to shoot some little shots at the end. I mean, Harden was shooting enough, wasn't he?

10:29All I know is we're going to the land and we got to pull it out in the land.

10:35James Harrison:We got to pull it out in the land. How'd you sleep last night? I slept great. I slept like a baby. I didn't sleep too well. I didn't sleep too well. I feel the fandom now when I'm watching. I get – like, because I have no control. So I want them to want it. I want the Cavs to be out there wanting it. And we up by 22. We got to somehow close it out. Call a timeout, coach. Well, you say it's coaching. Somebody get a bucket. No, no, no. And players. And players. We need to somehow – somebody – we only shot three times at the end of the – you're our best player. You know what I'm saying? Like, go get a bucket.

11:09James Harrison:I know he wants it. Maybe it's counting on James Harden. Go get a bucket. James Harden. Just a little. A little less flop. A little less flop maybe. A little less flop maybe. Just a little more effort with the defense. Sometimes he's just letting them just blow by. It ain't about effort. He can't play no defense. You know that. It is about effort. He can't play no defense. It is about effort. It's about sliding. He can play defense by well as I can. Slide your puppies, man. And then coach. But then it's coaching because it's like if we know that's not his expertise, leave D-Wade on him. Leave Struis on him.

11:41James Harrison:Them dudes are in his pocket, just staying there, giving them a way better body to give them, trying to get a bucket on them than trying to get a bucket on James. That's just letting them slide by. Man, I love this game. I love this game, man. All I know is we got game three coming. They come to the... Hey, hey. Yeah, we... You heard what they said. I'm not counting this out. I'm not counting this out. You heard what they said. What's up? You heard what they said. What they said. Nixon 4. You heard them. You heard them. Nixon 4. You heard the chant in the garden. Nixon 4. Obviously, they're going to be chanting that in their crib.

12:13That garden was turnt.

12:19James Harrison:I feel like I was there. You know what I'm saying? I was sitting next to Spike. You know what I'm saying? That's what I feel like, baby. I just. We're going to win. Nine straight wins over there, man. I know what. Hey, don't bring your ass over there playing. We don't care if you up by 22 with 740 left. I'm tripping. They did what they had to do. They held on their home court. I'm sick that we let that game one slip. Get over here. That's how you rip their soul out. 22, 740 left. Get over here. Mortal Kombat, man. Goodness. Slide your feet. What's up? I was hurt. The Cavs. The Cavs. They doing what the hat on top of your head do They browning You know what I didn't wear my gear The calves is browning I didn't wear my gear They not browning We gotta keep an eye on the prize We gotta go protect home We gotta go protect home That one hurt You can't protect home the same thing you was talking about the same thing the door is open y 'all leave the doors open New York is balling just hold the door open so that they don't have to break everything to come through there just leave the door that way you ain't got to replace no locks or nothing like that and everything just leave the doors open don't you know what I'm saying like support for the show comes from Public the investing platform for those who take it seriously on Public you can build a multi-asset portfolio of stocks, bonds, options, crypto And now, Generated Assets, which allow you to turn any idea into an investable index with AI.

17:59James Harrison:It's my calves, bro, and I care. I want them to be successful. I want them to win. That hurt. Up 22. Hurt. My boys are New York fans. New York Knicks fans, they cutting the game off. And y 'all thought you was my brother. I thought you was my brother. I thought we cared and loved for each other. I thought you was my brother. I know you don't care. I know you don't care. Pissing me off. You don't care. You all happy and all that.

18:38James Harrison:You saw both games. You talking about something. Yeah, so what happened? I went to sleep. You know what? You know what, Joe? I'm going to start this off a little different, man. I'm going to just stay over here in Cleveland, bro. You know? And let's just go to Cleveland, man. Todd Munkin still hasn't met Miles Garrett. Yeah. Joe. Why? why hasn't he met Miles yet? Because they still, Miles ain't, because same reason why a lot of the vets didn't come up yet. Miles just, he's chilling. He's chilling. He's going to be there for training camp. Dude. He's going to be there for training camp. He's chilling so tough that he missed the mandatory mini camp last month and lost a million.

19:23James Harrison:And y 'all got another mandatory camp coming up next month, okay? Yeah. And if he don't show up to that, that's another 100 and 100 and almost 108 ,000 up out his pocket. Damn. Hey, Joe, come on now. Don't be counting miles. You counting miles pockets, man. Don't be counting miles. I ain't counting, but I'm mandatory. I ain't coming. I'm losing a milli? I know. I know. A milli? Joe. I know. Say something. Explain something to me, Joe. We're supposed to be your leader. He ain't going to meet your new leader. He ain't even buying in. He's showing him he ain't buying in. He ain't got to say a word to him.

20:03James Harrison:He done told the rest of the defense, I ain't showed up. I'm not about to take a million one hit. Let y 'all know. I run this shit. He doing, he's letting the young dudes get the reps. Because he knows it's going to take them more time to learn the system. You know what I'm saying? They going to need to be all this time that they're going to get the reps in, be able to, you know what I'm saying, figure it out. Miles is plug and play. As soon as he gets back, he's going to be good. The defense just staying exactly the same. The terminology and everything, huh? It ain't going to take Miles long to learn the terminology.

20:34James Harrison:He's the defensive player of the year for a reason. He's going to be fine. The younger dudes, everybody else, get your reps. Get your stuff in. I agree with you. Get your level of play up. You're right. I agree with you, Joe. You know what I'm saying? Miles. It's not a good. Miles Garrett, you do not need to show up. You do need to show up. You're the defensive player. I would love for you to show up. You understand? It would be better for you to be there. You don't need to show up until after the last preseason game, if you don't want to. You had a different tone. We had a different tone. We had a different tone when we was talking about A-Rod being there, but he didn't show up until training camp last year.

21:13James Harrison:Do you know what I'm saying? He still was able to do everything he had to do. Was he under contract? Did he lose a milli? No, he didn't. He didn't. but don't worry about that part don't worry about Miles' bread don't worry about his pocket I'm not worried about it I'm just letting you know I'm letting them know I'm letting you know to let them know because he the defense player of the year yes y 'all need him he don't need y 'all y 'all can't need him when he show up y 'all say thank you sir for showing up that's what you do and he gonna he gonna come there and give you and give you 20 seconds he might be the head coach it's not hey Miles say Say, Miles Garrett said he run this team.

21:54James Harrison:This is not ideal. I don't care. This is not ideal. Y 'all done put a head coach. Miles Garrett just told me he run this team. He told me about what I care. What a little millie is when I'm getting 50, 40 of them things a year. Debo. That's chunk change. Debo. This is not ideal. A thousand percent. I would love our defensive player of the year to be in the building. Obviously. Like we said, this is camaraderie. This is when you build. This is when you grow. This is when you can be able to learn. But like we say this too, it's a little bit different when you're a vet and when you're a young guy.

22:31James Harrison:So then the losing money part. You don't want to get in there and try and get some understanding of the new coach, the new scheme. Yes, yes, yes. You know, a buy-in of just showing. Yes, yes. Ideally, yes. You want your vets in there. You want them dudes in there. Leading by example, showing the way. But if they not in there, that's time for the younger dudes to get in there and do their thing. I want Miles to be in there, for sure. It's not a good look. Like, you got a new coach. He said, no, I haven't been in touch with Miles. It's not good. But you know, if Miles comes and Miles gets back out there, Miles still going to be doing what he's going to do regardless.

23:06James Harrison:Let me talk to Mr. Garrett. Mr. Garrett, you don't even need to come back until after the break, our break. After week nine, you can come back. You deserve it. You deserve it. See, there you go talking crazy. Then you go talking crazy. You deserve it. Why you can't give them that same? They could give you a whole season to sit down and you still be good. Obviously, it's just because you're a hater. But of the Browns. Of the Browns. But why not, if he's the vet and he just ends up not coming to the stuff when he gets there before training camp. That is the best defensive player in the league, dude.

23:41James Harrison:That is the person that everybody is looking up to who they're trying to chase down. What are you talking about? That man can do what he want to do when he want to do it. And I agree with him. You show up when you want to show up. You don't need nothing but the time that you need to do what you need to do. And whatever that time is, you will make that available to them when you feel like you good and damn ready to. That's what you should do, Miles. Yes. I want him to be there. Let me say, I ain't going to say I love it. I like it. I like it a whole lot. Yeah. I want him to be there. Let me just say that.

24:15James Harrison:I wish that he was there, but him not being there isn't as big of a deal. I would hope that he was in there because, like we said, for the camaraderie. Hey, Joe, can I ask you a personal question? What's up? Yes. If it's you, okay, listen, just listen. If it's you and you're coming in and you have something that says, oh, you lose a million, you lose 108 ,000, would you show up or would you just say, hey, I come around? I would show up 1 ,000%. Why would you do that, Joe? two reasons. I mean, obviously the team, you're going to be working out, you're in the facility, you're getting stuff right, there's new coaches, and the workout money.

24:55James Harrison:Like, why would you not get the money, the million dollars, if you're going to be working out regardless, and you're in there with the team, you're killing two birds with one stone. I mean, that's why I would 1000 % go. Or maybe, what if you felt like you couldn't get the work done there, and it was worth not getting a million to go and be where you were at to get the work done so you could get back to the playing level that you were, then okay. Then that's what he's thinking. But, yeah. Would you not have a conversation with your brand-new head coach before that time came so it didn't look like, you know, from the outside?

25:36James Harrison:And then, you know, maybe. I'm saying I would have handled the situation probably differently. But Miles, like we said, he rolled into the beat of his own drum. He's under contract. He knows what it is. He knows he's missing the millie. And if he's in your mindset, I'm not going to come out there. I'm staying here. I'm going to be able to get right, get all of my training, my treatment. It's not worth that mill. When I come back out there, I'll be ready to go. That's not how I would do it. But you're saying he's not getting the work that he would need to out there to take care of his body better where he's at.

26:07I hear you, but that's not what I would do.

26:10James Harrison:Okay, I understand. I understand what you're saying. Also, old Todd, Todd Munkin, he didn't like the fact that the quarterbacks had some interceptions in 7-on-7. Hey, Joe, we got a little sound for that. Yeah. Okay. Can you play that sound? We threw interceptions in 7-on-7, for God's sakes. I mean, who does that? There's no pass rush. I mean, it's embarrassing. Let's see.

26:41James Harrison:Joe, hey, hey, it ain't sounding too good over there right now. Joe, what's going on over there, man? He sound a little upset, man. Look, he's coaching up. He's coaching up. There's routes on there. That's how offense, seven on seven is for the offense. The same way one-on-ones is for the offense. You should not be, if you're a really good offensive team, you shouldn't be throwing picks in seven on seven. When I see, then you got to go back and you got to look at the routes. I want to see whose fault is it. When I seen the interception that Shador threw, I saw it was a corner route and a cover two.

27:13James Harrison:Oh, Shador threw an interception. Shador threw one and Dylan Gabriel threw one. So there was two quarterbacks that threw him in the 7-on-7 with Shador threw one and Dylan threw one. So I got to go back. I need to see that. Watson didn't throw a pick. He didn't throw a pick. This is practice, though, Debo. So we're talking to two quarterbacks, not everybody. Not everybody. Because when you bring it up, you talk about the pass, the interceptions in seven on seven and the, you know, people that got intercepted was two quarterbacks did, two quarterbacks didn't. I mean, without you having to call the name, you know, you're saying, hey, this is unacceptable.

27:55James Harrison:And, you know, ain't no pass rush there, you know, really ain't nothing that could have gotten your way other than your misinterpretation of what you were looking at. maybe route running as you said or misplacement of the ball

28:15James Harrison:he's coaching Debo it's practice coaches evaluate practice how many how many people listen Joe how many people how many head coaches have said I was upset about past interceptions and seven on seven to the media. I think a lot more coaches are saying it, but people just won't take it as serious because we're going through a quarterback competition and he's a new coach, and that's just something to talk about. It's practice, Debo. You know things happen in practice all the time. We're picking people off in practice all the time. So, like, practice is practice. It's where you go to try stuff. It's where you go to try to get better.

32:01James Harrison:Practice makes perfect. You can't, but perfect practice makes perfect. But there is things where each practice is getting evaluated at a microscope. Each throw, each thing. So when I'm looking at this pass, it might have been a little bit late, and I'm looking at Judy, the route, come back to the ball. It's looking like he's just standing there waiting for the ball to come to you, but you got to come back, drive back downhill to the ball. I didn't see Dylan Gabriel's interception, but I only was able to see the Shador one. So when I'm just looking back at the plays, there's reasons, there's causing effects for everything.

32:30James Harrison:Every interception isn't made the same. Every tipped ball, it could have been a tip. You know what I'm saying? It was tipped, and then it was picked because I seen with Judy, come back to the ball. Somebody else's DB was able to come make a play, tip the ball into the air, and it gets picked off. So when you're looking back at it, it's like, okay, how are we working in this? Does the quarterback need to throw the ball a little bit earlier? Look like he might have been standing there for a second. Does the receiver need to drive back down to the ball? There's all different causes and effects for all this stuff.

32:56James Harrison:But when coach is coaching it up, boom, like that's a legitimate evaluation. You shouldn't be throwing picks in seven on seven. Our quarterback needs to get the ball out earlier, or our receiver needs to be coming back down, coming back downhill. These are just things that coaches are coaching and that's tape that they're going to watch and evaluate. So, like, every single snap, I got the plays when you're doing, like, in training camps, good on good. You're getting – things will happen. You're going to get beat. Like, it is what it is, and that doesn't make – doesn't mean I'm a bad corner because somebody hit me up on a play.

33:27James Harrison:No, that means they won that rep. Next rep, you know what I'm saying, do better, line it back up. So when you do do good plays, they get evaluated. Everybody's looking at, oh, yeah, that's great. When you do one bad play, everybody's saying everything about it. So I just think it's coaching stuff up and seeing what he sees. Joe, don't let me, you know, I read into everything, Joe. You know me. I know you read into it and trying to make it all negative. Stop, Joe. Stop, Joe. Let me talk. But my things make sense. They have reasoning behind it. And I'm starting to get some reasoning in my head on this.

34:03James Harrison:Okay, let me hear it. You know, I'm just going back to what they, you know, what was said by, what was it, Breer? A while ago. Yeah. Albert Breer, a while ago about, you know, him kind of liking Watson a little more supposedly. So now you go to this. And like I said, I've never heard a coach talk about being upset about throwing interceptions in seven on seven and actually just speaking it straight out to the media when you're already in a quarterback controversy. So would that be in the case with his supposed liking of Watson and his abilities to play offensive schemes that he's had and done and been successful at?

35:01James Harrison:I think this could have been maybe a little bit of a shock at saying, look, interception, interception, but it's not him. is them is helping you and everybody else out here give a public opinion about who they feel it should or shouldn't be to go along with who he probably already wants it to be. I'm just saying, Joe.

35:37James Harrison:That's all I was saying. What do you think of that, Joe? Joe, you mute it? No, I'm not muted. I'm just trying to listen to what you're saying. I hear you. I think coach, yeah, I mean, it is what it is. It was bad. Like, if dudes are throwing interceptions in the practice, then he's just reporting the news. And they asked him about the defense. Like, do you think the defense was creating the plays? He's like, look, it's a seven on seven. We shouldn't be throwing picks. So, I mean, yeah, you could say that. you can say that i mean he's just reporting the news i mean that's a little that's a little that's a little not true you just know you're not just reporting the news you're you're reporting to the reporters that are reporting out the information to the fans that you want to be heard because if you didn't say it they wouldn't have knew it outright out of your mouth yes you know what i'm

36:47James Harrison:little spin, I would say, on the topic of where you're trying to maybe get people to lean, Joe. Oh, for sure. You're right. You're right. It's given Todd Munkin is definitely in favor of Watson a little bit because he didn't, Watson didn't throw a pick. He didn't throw a pick. Shador did. But what do you know of any other practices? Has he thrown a pick at all this minicamp or OTAs? We don't know. We don't know. But if he has, and you can find that information out, it would be very suspicious that he would talk about it now. It's early OTAs. Hey, I'm just saying. It was brought out to the public.

37:37James Harrison:All right? Yes. That's all I'm saying, Joe. I'm going to go over here to the Steelers, man. Aaron Rodgers said he will retire after the 2026 season. My man said this is it. He said this is it. That's it. Ain't no coming back. Ain't no coming back. Ain't no coming back. I like it. He has a 2.5. The 2.5 million in incentives in his contract with the Steelers now is he He must play 75 % of the regular season snaps, and then he can earn the following. $625 ,000 for every playoff win, wild card win, divisional, AFC, Super Bowl. Joe. Yes. I hate to say it, but he ain't going to get all this. He's not going to get all this, bro.

38:38James Harrison:He ain't going to get no more than about 1-8-7-5 because when you're number one, you don't play to the divisional round. You know? Uh-huh. So he'll get 1-8-7-5 when it's all said and done. Walk off into the sunset, Super Bowl champion, you know? Uh-huh. That's what you think is going to go down. Look, I'm excited because... Hey, listen, listen. You are so gone. You are so down in the dumps. They got you so depressed and so... Yeah, I am. I'm messed up. I ain't going to lie to you. Go down bad. I ain't going to lie to you. That you can't even be excited about a team you said was at least a 1B. Look, my whole mood this morning, I ain't going to lie to you.

39:31James Harrison:I know what Joe is. I was literally... Literally. Misery love company, Joe. You want me to be down with you? I've been sad when we lost that first game. And it's the fan. I never, I was able to get over games way easier when I was playing in it. But now it's like I don't have no control. So that hurt. It really, really hurt. I want us to be up. We lost two. And I knew you was going to come in here talking crazy. Then we got the Browns. It's just, I love my Browns. But we're going to be talking about everything that's not a quarterback. You got your head coach talking about it. about your players out in the public.

40:06James Harrison:Look at you. You got your star player showing up. Yes. Yes. So I knew it was all. I'm sorry if the energy is down. It's just you just beating me up today, T-Po. Hey, Chad. I told y 'all. Hey, listen. Joe coming out. He was trying to hide his colors. He was trying to hide his colors. I know his colors is brown and orange. I know it is. He want to claim black and gold, but I know it's brown and orange. I'm going to cut him next time to see if he bleeds some brown and orange. All right, man. Listen, D-Ball, I was just being honest with you, man. You had me. I was hurting today. Honestly, I was like, man, I really don't want to show up because I know he's going to fire me up.

40:49James Harrison:He's going to sit there and look. Joe, you didn't even come on until two minutes before we was about to go on. Joe, what's going on? I know. Like crazy. It was crazy and I knew what it was. I didn't have nothing that I wanted to talk to you about, Debo, except for when we got to the Steelers. I was ready to get to this part. That whole first part of the show just now, I didn't want to talk about any of that. That was not none of my doing at all. You just sitting there, couldn't wait. You skipping stuff around, you moving stuff around in the show just so you could get on me. Joe, I didn't know what happened.

41:25James Harrison:I thought, Joe, listen, Joe, I thought it was 1-1. That's all it was. And I come to find out right here from you. You're lying, though. I saw a blue of 22-point lead. Debo, Debo, that was what you were planning on that entrance the whole show. I felt it. I was like, he got something. And he was like, oh, no, Joe. I'm like, you saw the game. I know you saw the game. I know you did. I came to see. It's so, is my vision bad? I'm old. I couldn't see. I was listening to it, and then I went to bed. All right, you know what? I was listening to Aaron retiring and all that, and then I'm like, I don't know.

42:05James Harrison:I don't know, Joe. You know I'm getting old. It was tough. This weekend really was a not good, you know what I'm saying, sports weekend for me. My wife was like, you're just not, like, you're a little grumpy. I said, I am. I'm sorry. I'm just not in a good mood right now. Bruh, that's not bad. I know it's bad. I know, I know, I know. I'm a soul. Man, listen, man. I know. I know. I don't like it. I don't like that. That's not me. I'm not a mad person. Hey, man. I'm a really glad person. I know you was thinking about moving back to Cleveland, but now ain't the time, bro. I'm not moving back. I'm chilling right now.

42:41James Harrison:But I'm definitely going to game. I'm definitely going to game four. I'm going to be out there on Monday. Hey, man. Maybe you could like. For my boys, man. Don't y 'all got a team over there? They got bullets or something? Washington Bullets, right? Something like that? The Wizards. The Wizards. The Wizards out here, D.C. Yeah, we just got the number one pick. We're going to get AJ from BYU. Here you go with this weed shit, Joe. Where are you? I live in D.C. I mean, I live in Virginia. So you say the team that's right up the street, it's the Wizards. They're going to get the bonzer. All right, that's they.

43:16James Harrison:You French. They're going to get the bonzer. You French. They're going to get the bonzer. You got crunch in your blood. I'm just going to go watch. We need to check your DNA heritage. You French because it's a whole lot of weed. okay no all right you know what we know you're right i'm gonna stop i'm gonna stop saying we because i'm not with them exactly they're up the street so the wizards are going to get aj the bonza and he's up the street so i would love to go watch him play so that means him being close i can get to go watch the wizards play support for the show comes from public the investing platform for those who take it seriously on public you can build a multi-asset portfolio of stocks bonds, options, crypto, and now generated assets, which allow you to turn any idea into an investable index with AI.

46:56James Harrison:You got a TV, don't you, Joe? You got plenty of TV. I like watching the basketball. Basketball courtside is the best place you could ever see the talent. Yo, I'm going to tell you the best place you could ever see any sports game. TV. It's at home. And your TV on your couch and your lazy boy laid back with your feet up. I hear you. Let me bring you to it. Temperature perfect. I would say football, your father. I mean, football, I like football at my house. Comfortable. I can got my TV. Basketball, the same, but basketball courtside at the event, being there, Debo, that's the best live event I've been to.

47:35James Harrison:NBA games courtside, 1 ,000%. You right there. You right there. You got to be spiked out. Listen, I'm going to have to. Other than the TV, you're 1 ,000 % right. But you spiked out. You right there seeing, like, real ball is move like that. I'm like, yeah, that's NBA. Dump. all that i'm like okay yes he's yes he's six foot eight okay he is i understand i understand i understand joe but i'm just saying like we're talking we know we're talking about talking about a rod and a rod are we we store run to the end that's gonna be a super bowl championship finishing at the end i'm sorry he only go get 1.875 million because we will not be playing week one we won't be playing to the divisional game so you know we're gonna have a bye okay so So you're just saying that that's not even possible.

48:26James Harrison:If they skip the wild card, he don't need to. I mean, worst case scenario, it could get possible, and we have to play in the wild card because we are two. Okay. Okay. Okay. Yeah. But if they skip the wild card game and he don't play in it just because we go to the divisional round, then that's just, that's not LeVoy. Right. Right. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. You know what I'm saying? Now, he don't. All right. He getting the two-foughty. He getting the two-foughty. So. All I know is. And maybe they may just go ahead and put it in there as a bonus. Retirement gift. Another 625. Thank you for seven. All I know is this is what I'm talking about.

49:08James Harrison:It's no gray area, Debo. It's no willy-nilly. This is what it is. Last year, A-Rod, he's here. He's showing up to the optional stuff. We were talking about my boys not there. A-Rod's here now. He's here earlier than he was last year for training camp. We got all of the talent on the team. We got the receivers. We got the running back. We went and got the D-backs. We went and got everything that we need. And A-Rod, and for Cam, and for Ramsey, and for Highsmith, for the older dudes on the team, they know it's their final hurrah too. T.J. Watt, it's their final hurrah. Not in the way of like when the young dudes start getting in, when Will Howard starts getting this shot, when Drew Isler, that's when you know.

49:53James Harrison:It is what it is. It could get, you don't know how it's going to get. Like, the quarterback position is something that's going to be up in the air. But right now, with A-Rod knowing, saying this is it, this is my final hurrah, he's in with McCarthy. Our man Omar been doing everything he had to do to build the team. Not to rebuild, but just get talent. Get as much as you can. You got your old, you're not, we're not trading TJ. We're not getting rid of high school. We're going to make sure we can figure this thing out. And it's going to be the hurrah. We got the quarterback. We have a Hall of Fame quarterback.

50:22James Harrison:He came out here last year, 3 ,300 yards, 24 touchdowns, seven picks. We were dunking and dunking. You know what I'm saying? It wasn't offensive. It wasn't going as, that's not terrible. That's not special. But I think with being able to get more talent around, being able to get that consistent running game, and knowing what we need to get done, knowing on the outside, we got to be able to take more shots. We got to hit on those. But that's going to happen when the run game is gone. When Jalen Warren are really coming downhill, when we're establishing a line of scrimmage, where, you know what I'm saying, we're coming down, it's short third downs, it's third and three.

50:59James Harrison:You know what I'm saying? We're working with second and fours, where we're not behind the sticks. So I love A-Rod being able to be like, now, okay, boom. It is what it is. You're all in. We got you. All in. We got you. You know this is it. You want to leave on a high note. When you were in New York, you got hurt. It didn't go as quite well. last season. We still won the division. We still went to the playoffs. It didn't end up going the way that we wanted it to go. You know what I'm saying? Like defense. There was gaps. Offense. We weren't hitting on the deep wall. We were checking the ball down.

51:31James Harrison:We have all that gap stuff cleaned up on defense side. We want to get now with A-Rod saying that he's going to be here for this whole season. 22 mil with these incentives. Playoff incentives. You got to play 75 % of the games. This is your final hurrah. We're in with you. Watt, Cam, the boys, Pitch, and DK. Everybody knows what it is. He can't wait to get to Latrobe. So all I'm going to say is with this, I'm rocking. I'm loving what Aaron Rodgers is like, because in my heart of hearts, I love Aaron. At the door of the football, he's one of the best to ever do it. I don't care what anybody says.

52:06James Harrison:He can spin the rock. So now we just got him in a Joe Flacco type role where just make the passes that you got to. Don't turn the ball over and, you know what I'm saying, control the offense. A-Rock can do that. A-Rock can 1 ,000 % do that. And then if you try to get special, make some throws because that's what you do. You can still spin the rock. Your arm isn't going nowhere. It's your mobility. I don't know how fast you're going to be able to move. Arm is changing a little bit, but, you know, everybody's changing a little bit. He can make the throws. He can make them. He can make them. So I'm rocking.

52:36James Harrison:Yeah, for sure. Mike McCarthy, he said the Steelers have four quarterbacks. that we love that we love you do that a lot too i'm gonna tell you right now yeah that's he's not like he's not like word i'm not listen man words words words so so so words mean things and it's two it's two words that i think people use a lot and they don't correct their cell phone or at least even when i use them i try and stop myself if i don't really mean it and correct myself. It's love and hate. If I love something, dude, that is a... You don't just throw around the love. No, man. You can't throw around love, man.

53:22James Harrison:What the Bible say, it's with three different forms of love. You got what is it? Agape, which is the God love. That's the unconditional love. That's the love. Hell, that's the only love you ever go give to is your kids. You know, it don't matter what they do, how bad they mess up and everything. You always go love me. Nothing going to stop you from loving me. And then you got the, what is it? Philly. It's like a, it's a filejo. It's like, it's for the word for Philly, like brotherly love. So it's brotherly love. Like, it's like, you know, it's an affectionate love for, you know, like relationships.

54:04James Harrison:For your brother. Yeah. And then you got Eros, which is like, you know, you and your wife. Okay. Yes, yes, yes, yes. So, like, when you use those words, they like mean things. But get back to my point is stop using words like love when it could be just like. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Like, because you, I love him. He the spinner of the ball. And I'll be in my head and I'll just be like, ugh, ugh. Like, it just, I don't know why I do it. It just irks me. And then when I say I like hate, like if I hate you, hate is a very, very, very strong word. If I hate you, like I'm willing to do something that is just out of character.

54:44James Harrison:Well, it used to be out of my character now. Yeah. But before, if I hated you, I was willing to do anything to make you not exist. Okay. That's how strong the hate word is. So to use the hate is a very, very strong word. So hate and love. Those are the two words that I tell my kids. It's like, yo, they mean things. Like, oh, I just love the color blue. I just love the rainbow. I just love all this. They love everything. You know what I'm saying? You like it. Right. You like it. You got an extreme right for it, maybe. Maybe you like it a whole bunch. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I like it a lot.

55:20James Harrison:Yeah, to give it more oomph, they want to throw love into it. Yes. You know what I'm saying? Or hate. You know what I'm saying? Nah, they can't do that. So I think what he's saying here is that they like the quarterbacks. Yeah. More like what we got. Mike McCarthy's happy with the QBs that he has. Yeah. Yeah. He said, I guess his words were, they definitely, we definitely got four that we love. I can say that. We always have to develop the room. there's always been that's always been my approach we're hoping that omar can get the roster expanded to 55 and we can keep four it's a really good room this is a good place to be having four guys that can play joe do you think keeping four quarterbacks is a good thing or no No.

56:21Okay.

56:22James Harrison:No. I'm a three quarterback kind of guy, you know, and if it gets down to it and maybe if you got to let one go and then hopefully they can sign them to practice squad. But having four quarterbacks on the roster is crazy to me. It's just taken up too many spots. You could be using another tight end. You could be using another running back. You can use another linebacker, another corner, somebody that's actually literally a legitimate piece of special teams and offense. Yes. You know what I'm saying? And able to do special teams. Brother, that's a real, that's a four-phase. Office and defense. Yeah, you need all that.

56:57James Harrison:That's a four-phase kind of guy that's, like, really out there making plays for you. So, to just have that on the roster for no, I just, it doesn't make sense to me. Because you need a quarterback for sure. Well, I'm telling you, they believe it. Three, solid. Four, you're tripping. Yeah. Yeah. You know what? Now thinking about it, go back. Aaron's last year. This is the year. Maybe they're trying to just hold on to all three and the possibility of having them all three for next year and then seeing what they could do in the draft because we're going to be the last pick in the first year. With the plans, you got going.

57:34James Harrison:Yeah, yeah, with the plans I got going on, baby. It ain't like you could put one of them on the practice squad. You put either one of them rookies on the practice squad, somebody go grab them. If that's the man, winning the Super Bowl, I'm not tripping if it was three or four of them. it dipped in. Hey. But they got the goat. When they got the goat? Come on, man. You keep all of them, whatever you want to do. For the Super Bowl, yeah, yeah, yeah. We can figure it out. Will's good. You know what I'm saying? Like, yeah, we figure it out. Will and Drew, we'll see what's going on. A-Rod's farewell tour.

58:03James Harrison:We are not. Yes. When we got, if you got the Super Bowl, then there's other, then. I think Mason could go on the practice squad. Come on, man. I don't think nobody would grab him. I ain't lying. We have to see. The last year? I'm not a big component of the four QBs. We're going to have to max out what A-Rod got. Okay. Facts.
