In short

Guests

None. The episode is hosted by James “Deebo” Harrison and Joe Hayden (co-host).

Guest backgrounds

Not applicable (no guests). Both are Steelers/Browns-focused commentators.

Key claims

  • Harrison argues the Steelers “cooked” by drafting need-based players and benefiting from coaching development.
  • Hayden argues the Browns also drafted correctly, emphasizing offensive line and receiver additions plus a later quarterback selection.
  • Both repeatedly frame their team’s picks as “right” versus the other team’s as “hating” or “wrong.”

Notable examples (players mentioned)

  • Steelers: Max “He-Hon-a-shore” (1st), Jeremy Bernard (2nd; slot/YAC), George Pickens trade context, Daylon Everett (CB, Georgia), plus later depth including an offensive tackle (Austin Barber) and a tight end.
  • Browns: Spencer (OT, Utah) at 9 after trading up, Casey Conception (WR, Texas A&M), Denzel Boston (WR, Washington), a safety from Toledo, plus additional OL depth and a 6th-round QB Taylor Greene (Arkansas).

2:51Welcome back to this episode of Debo and Joe. I'm your host, James Debo Harrison. I'm here with my co-host, Joe Hayden. Please make sure you like, subscribe, and download where you get your show. How you doing today, Joe?

3:06James Harrison:I am doing great, brother Debo. We had a great weekend. Draft was amazing. Pittsburgh was amazing. Riding around amongst the people. For sure. That was so much fun, bro. So much fun. Yeah, yeah. I got to admit, I did have a good time. You know what I'm saying? In between when I couldn't find you, you know, you was drifting off on you, boy. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, you was in the wave of the Steelers fans. Bro, D-Bo, honestly, bro, that was so good to see, bro. You are a walking, living legend, brother. and just seeing all that love you was getting out there. But they never see Deebo amongst the people like that.

3:45James Harrison:You know what I'm saying? It was good to see. Listen, man, I'm always amongst the people, man. I just slide through. I usually just slide through. You know what I'm saying? Like I go to the game and I slide through to people. I keep my head down. You know, sometimes I don't get noticed. Sometimes I get noticed. Usually when it's warm, I get noticed because I got less clothing on. Yes. Yes, you're exposed. But when it's cold, everybody covered up. so now you can put it over your head. I'm scooping through to get to here to there. They don't really notice it too much. Yeah, you walk like you got to get somewhere.

4:18You know, I walk with my head down. I got to go ahead. They look like I'm puffed up. I ain't really puffed up. It's just, you know, it look like I got a bunch of clothes on. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, no, no.

4:30James Harrison:Just a hoodie. Just a hoodie and muscles. Right. Hoodie. For real. No, but that was a good time, bro. I ain't going to lie to you. Oh, yeah, man. Hey, listen, man. We got to do that again, man. I feel like Stiller fans will show up everywhere, though. Where's the next one at? D.C. or something? Oh, yeah. It's at the crib. Next year, at the crib. Yes. Yeah. Come this way. Come this way. Come that way. Come that way. For sure. For sure. For sure, man. Players. Yeah, man. We killed it in the draft. You know what I'm saying? Like, we did our thing. You understand what I'm saying, buddy? Yeah, Steelers did great.

5:08James Harrison:He was cooking. Omar did good. Okay. Okay. He did good. What you talking about, man? Huh? If you want to be honest, the Steelers did really good. Oh, of course. The Steelers did really good. But they wasn't rocking with what the Browns did in the draft. Just being blatantly honest. We cooked on a different level. in the draft. We're going to talk straight draft. Who is we? Who is we? Here go this. You know what? For the day, keep your punk ass over there in orange. Don't we. It's y 'all and it's us. It's them, you, and me. See this, you know what? You know what, Debo? You know what? For today, and it's not even, Steelers fans, Steelers fans know this.

6:01James Harrison:It has nothing to do with y 'all. It's me, Browns versus Debo today because he's just a straight hater. I'm going to try to go back Hating? Yes. You be hating. Even when things go good, you hate. I'm objective. What am I hating on for the Browns? You hating on how fire the draft was and what we got going on right now. Bruh. We. Bruh. So when we We're going to talk about the Steelers. The problem is... You listening to what they saying. Who they? It's analysis. They don't know what they talking about. Analysts. Finally, we weren't never doing the right thing. So we were browning. And now when we actually are picking the right people and doing the right...

6:54James Harrison:The obvious thing that we're doing is the right thing. Time out. What? Let's just do this. the first three rounds. Matter of fact, the first three rounds. Yes, that's what we're going to look at. I'm going to give you my first three rounds of what my my Steelers my Steelers did. Okay. Not you. Not your Browns. Just for this episode. Not your Browns. Just for this episode. My fingers keep flying. You keep flying. Man, throwing them. Stop throwing them over here. All right. Yeah. All right. For sure. See, that's what I'm telling y 'all, Filling Nation. It's not y 'all. First round. It's Bebo. First round.

7:36James Harrison:It's Bebo. First round. Okay. We went on here and got my boy, Max. Okay. He-Hon-a-shore. Ha-ha-ha! Yeah. Good. Hey. That's a pick. Okay, go ahead. Go ahead. Talk. Six-six. Three twanky. Okay. Boy almost got a three-foot arm reach. It's like almost 34 inches. Okay? Strong, fast, running like a 4 '9". He only played the game for five years. Most guys at his point where he at right now, they done had 10, 12, 13 years of working. He ain't had nothing but five and still got the skills he got. Okay? He eight years almost behind the next one. Mm-hmm. That could be good or bad. Mm-hmm. The years of experience.

8:25James Harrison:You know, I look when I saw him, like you said, feet looking good. You know what I'm saying? Young with a snap and fast and all that. But years of experience could be it could be he still could be a little bit of a project. So, you know, that's a good pick. I get that. I get that. That's a pick of need, but nothing crazy. Not not knocking him. I think he's going to be amazing. And you know why? Yeah. You know why he's going to be he's going to need a coach. We got a coach over there. That's what I'm saying. You're young. His offensive line coach, James, what is it? Was it Carpin? James Carpin.

8:57Actually, I met him on a plane, dude. Real good dude. Hey, Jim, I'm going to get you that information, too. I actually totally forgot about getting you that information. But he is the O-line coach, and he is known for developing O-linemen, dude. And that's exactly what I'm making sure. He's a technician. He's a fundamentalist. He's good with corrective P22. Hand placement. You know what I'm saying? The man that put out, what is it? Seven pro bowlers. He done put out seven pro bowlers that was under his tutelage. Okay. You understand that? That's good. That's what he's going to need right there.

9:28Hey, inside. Inside. I got a little inside over there, too. Got a little inside? What you got? Hey, Lil' Woldy. Hines Ward, for y 'all that don't know. Lil' Woldy. Hines Ward is the assistant head wide receivers coach over there at Arizona. State. University. And guess what? What he said? He said that man got still a mentality. He said he liked the work. He looking to work. Very coachable. Likes to be coached. And can take hard coaching so he didn't go crumble.

10:01James Harrison:A thousand percent. I can respect it. Look, I mean, I – And that's just the one. I'm going to go ahead to the two, man. Let me go on to – I don't want to mess this man's name up too bad, but I want to say it's Jeremy Bernard. It's Jeremy. Not Jeremy. Okay, I'm just making sure. All right. He the receiver. Yes. Okay. Guess what? What's up? Solid. Solid what we need right there with the three. Got the hands. Got the hands. Hey. And guess what else? Guess what else? He almost kissing everything around him, and he attacking the ball. The boy, very, very, very quarterback friend. And hold up. What do you say?

10:42He a yak monster. Yeah. They said he's a yak monster, and when he gets the ball, he like to get physical with it. He said he go give him something and go ahead and get up off of it and keep moving.

10:56James Harrison:I mean, listen, listen. This pick here, I'm hearing Jarvis Landry type. You know what I'm saying? He's not the tallest, not the biggest, but slot, yak, getting after it. That's a good pick. We needed a slot receiver. We got the two big dogs outside already at 6 '4". Hold up! Hell no wee! Get that wee out your mouth! I told you! You an orange! All right. All right. You know what? That second round pick was not as, you know what? Cool. He's good. Solid slot. Good pick. I have nothing. Alabama guy. I like Alabama. I like SEC. I think he could get active. Okay. That's a solid pick for you, Debo. We popped on through right there and you said, you know what?

11:36We go go ahead and see what Drew Aller talking about. Boy got shot. What?

11:41James Harrison:Oh, my bad. I laughed out loud. What you laugh out loud for? Oh, nothing, nothing, nothing. I'm just trying. I'm not laughing at Drew Isler at all. I'm just trying to figure out now, is this the third round pick that you traded the guy for George Pickens pick, right? Look here, man. You traded for the three. You traded for the three. I'm getting tired of all these Monday morning, 365 days later, coaches talking about all this and that. Here. I'm not mad. George Pickens. He's a big guy. Big body. Big body quarterback. Listen. Listen. I understand the George Pickett situation. George went over there and George played well.

12:20So now everybody in mind want to talk about, you know what? We shouldn't have got rid of him. You can't say that because you don't understand what was going on in the inside. You see what I'm saying? We had concerns and issues about maturity.

12:34James Harrison:On his habits and stuff. His play was never the issue. It was off the field y 'all were worried about. You couldn't control him off the field. It was off the field. It was more of a maturity issue. And, you know, what makes it so crazy is the same kind of issues that we ended up trading, like, AB? Chase Claypool. Hell, Deontay Johnson. Yeah, I mean, that sounds like a you problem, though. That sounds like a, you drafted all these players as your name is. Did I draft all these players? Yeah. And I drafted bad players? Got them out of there. Is there a common denominator with all these players that may have turned them to where they actually were allowed to do certain things?

13:22James Harrison:Yeah, man. Listen. Nope. Nope. Okay. Exactly. So now sometimes a guy changes his environment and it's good for him. You bring in, listen, Watt going to be Watt wherever he goes. Minka going to be Minka wherever he goes. You going to be you wherever you go. I'm going to be me wherever I go. So. No, environment. No. Environment can change. You're going to be around. Because you can do certain things. So you're a follower. So you're a follower. That's what you're saying. Oh, no. It's not about being a follower. It's about if you allow me to take a foot. You're going to tell you're going to give them out.

13:57And I said, let me take that foot. Exactly. You're going to keep going. Exactly. So now sometimes you have to change environments to change the conditions around you, which will let you know, you know what? I'm here. I'm now. Let me start fresh. and I'm going to come and this is how I'm going to approach it. And I'm a George Pickens fan. I'm a big George Pickens fan. That's no question about it.

14:19James Harrison:I'm saying he was on the squad. That's another – that's a whole other baller. I mean, if it's looking like you got the offensive tackle there. But that's what I'm saying, dude. Wide receiver. You got all the people talking about get rid of him, get rid of him. Now they upset because he played well. No, I'm happy he played well. I'm great. I want him to ball for sure. Now, let's go ahead and flip off that, though. let's go on to the to the cornerback that we got uh-huh was that Daylon Everett yeah Georgia yes hey SEC never met SEC physical uh-huh physical needed for physical needed for you looking for yes not we you guys are looking at you right now you get it yeah stop stop hey you ain't French you ain't French it ain't no it's us the Steelers you say the Steelers The, all right, for today.

15:09James Harrison:For today, I got you. And you're going to say today, you're going to say, you're going to say Joe Hayden. Say the Steelers. Like the Ohio State University. Say the Steelers. You're going to say them good old, you're going to say today, well, you're dressed me, them good old Browns today. Look here. Four years, everyone thought Verizon had the best network. Pad level. Blocking. Physical. physical. Blue collar go bring us lunchbox and go ahead do what he want to do and come on back and do it again the next day.

19:52James Harrison:Yep, yep. Good old Dirty Red. What was it? And what how? Hey, we're going to put him at guard. That's okay. We're going to put him at guard. I know what you're about to say. You're about to say something. I understand what you're saying. Listen, but he can swing. He can swing. If necessary, we get down bad. Brother, depth. Never follow him. You know what I'm saying? He can move. You know? Hey, man got great football IQ too now. Okay. No, for sure. Recognition of all that bull, Fraggle Rock. Y 'all be trying to do stunts and twists in the community. All that bull. You know what I'm saying? And that's why I look at you where you have the young offensive tackle that you got first, that he's on his fifth year of ever playing football since 2022.

20:33James Harrison:And what he's going to need, you made a great point. Exactly. Coaching. If he got to get coached up and he's willing to learn. Coming in there like he don't know everything. and I love from Nigeria. Okay, he looks locked in. So coaching, okay, boom, good. What y 'all got in the first three rounds, Joe? I don't even know. Boy, people, we showed our ass. I'm telling you, we showed our ass. That man Andrew Barry, what'd I say? I think it must have been DePodesto that was messing my dog up, had his little hands in the ruckus. He couldn't really go crazy as he needed to do because sometimes, I mean, the Browns, when they say the Browns beat Browning, it's sometimes the obvious pick.

21:16James Harrison:And even back in the day when I was there, third round, we needed a cornerback. And we drafted my good man, Leon McFadden. And I love Leon McFadden. But the pick after Leon McFadden went Honey Badger. And everybody's looking like, yo, why would they do that? Like, no, we should get Honey Badger. And Honey Badger played a great long career. He's probably going to be a Hall of Famer. My boy Leon didn't do so well. He played great, good dudes. What y 'all do this year, Joe? I'm just telling you. I'm giving you the history, Debo, and why I'm sitting like this and why I'm talking like this. Because you're saying, oh, I don't know what ESPN did.

21:55James Harrison:No, I'm talking about the natural things that happened. What happened was the Browns come in with the sixth overall pick and the 24th overall pick. Why y 'all get your sixth overall pick? Listen, it doesn't matter what your name is. We got the sixth overall pick, and we got the 24th overall pick. It doesn't matter how we got there. We're there, okay? And so people go, draft is going as it's going, and we need this offensive tackle. I got my eyes on Spencer the whole time. We think we're going to get him at six. You know what Mr. Andrew Barry does? He gets more value. He gets another draft pick, a third-round pick, goes back to nine, and gets Spencer, the lineman, the tackle from Utah.

22:41James Harrison:Okay? Just master class. Okay? Master class. You said you got the tackle. That's your one? Yes. That's my one. That's my nine. That's cool. That's my one. That's my nine. That's your one. What's the... Huh? What's he... That's your one? Three years starter. What's so great about him? His feet. His athleticism. He's a swing. He played left tackle. He played right tackle. And we talk about his arm length. Ha! Funny, his arm length is 33 inches long. The highest paid tackle in the league's arm is 33 inches long. So all this, oh, now it's a big problem. Oh, shut your mouth. He got sweet feet. He can move around.

23:21James Harrison:He's a great anchor. He can anchor, and his arms are 33 inches long. So all that bull that everybody keeps talking about, short arms, don't want to hear it. He was the number one. He was the number probably two tackle in the draft, and we got him at nine. That's crazy because I heard he had some problems with speed rushing off the edge. People, you know, with the last name Watt Highsmith. Yeah. You know, just saying Sawyer, stuff like that. What? Okay. Anyway, go ahead. What was your next pick? For our second pick in the first round, number 24, we sitting there saying, give me a wide receiver and we need an offensive tackle.

23:58James Harrison:Offensive tackle, check, wide receiver. We go get Casey Conception from Texas A &M. You know what I'm saying? And the one thing I like about him also, he wasn't the biggest. Yeah, he's a smaller guy. I was going to say that. Smaller guy, smaller frame guy. But look, there's small frame guys that ball out all the time. Six foot, 200. That's not small. Odell's six foot. Odell's five foot. I understand, but Odell has a catch radius. I understand. I hear what you're saying. He doesn't have real catch radius. His contested catch issue is an issue too. Antonio Brown's five foot 10. So look, we're using him.

Read the full transcript

24:31James Harrison:Antonio Brown didn't have contested catch issues. Listen, listen. He only had seven. Look, listen. He's going to get onto the jug machines. He's a pro. I love his work ethic. And also, bringing him into the mix, we got him doing special teams. He's also the best punt returner and kickoff returner. So we knocking off. We're helping out our offense inside the ball, and we're helping out special teams. You know how it's a four-phase game. Can I ask you something, Joe? The teams was looking crazy. So he's going to be also helping us out crazy at special teams. Joe, can I ask you something, Joe? What?

25:06James Harrison:Wow. And his routes were crazy. Yeah, yeah. Are you throwing all the fingers? You throwing all the fingers and I can't say what? I'm just saying. Joe, Joe, Joe, you said you go put him on the judgment scene so he can catch the ball. He's still going. He's still averaging 14 yards a catch and he got 25 touchdowns. I understand what you're saying, but the judgment scene, it don't give you no interference, you know? Like those physical DBs. He's still going to be getting all that. He has a problem. He's getting all that work. All that work in training camp. Physical DB coverage. All that training camp work.

25:41James Harrison:We got Denzel Ward over there. With big physical DBs. He's going to be playing against Denzel Ward. Are you kidding me? We got straps over there. That's going to be getting him right. Iron sharpens iron. Iron. That Cleveland Browns defense are dogs over there. So they're going to be getting these young receivers right the whole time. I'm just saying. I know he has some issues. And then, okay, we was talking about that. And then we go to our next pick. And we go get another steal. Big body. Big body. Denzel Boston. From Washington. Six-four. He should have been even if they would have slipped spots.

26:15James Harrison:Crazy part was, if Denzel would have went first round and we would have got Concepcion in the second round, I still would have thought we won. Don't matter. All We still got our tackle, and we got these two balling receivers that we need because our receiver room, obviously, we had 117. Can I ask you a question? Where's your one at? I still ain't heard of your one receiver. Look, right now, it's looking like Denzel's big body could be. He's looking more as he could possibly be one. How is he going to be one? He got average speed, dude. He got separation issues. His route running needs help. Listen.

26:52James Harrison:Very little. Listen, big body, he's going to go up 50-50 balls. If you're standing right there next to him, is Mike Evans the most breaking away from everybody? Is his speed the most crazy thing? No. We can still have big body. Is T. Higgins the fastest guy out there? No, he's not. But his big body, you throw that 50-50, he's going to head top you. And those, that's going to make his speed even better. So you're saying you throw that 50-50 up against nephew. I'm going, Judy. Nephew. Up against nephew. Look. Up against nephew. Nephew's a baller. Nephew, I'm not. Up against nephew. You think he getting that?

27:27James Harrison:No. It's 50-50, boss. That's right there. All the stuff he doesn't have. You know what that sounds like to me? That sounds like victim to nephew. No, you sound crazy. Ain't no victim. Ain't no victim in Boston. Ain't no victim in Denzel Boston. Ain't anybody wearing orange. And then, okay, look, we go there. So now we got the two receivers and my man, Judy, ready to ball out again. Judy getting right. Same thing. Got another year to spaz. Judy got it in him, and we know he do. So, Judy, Kasepsie, Denzel. Okay. Then, we go and get the safety from Toledo. Look, we drafted eight. We had ten picks.

28:09James Harrison:We went and got eight on offense, because we know that's what we need. But when we did step in and go get a defensive player, we went and got the 33rd prospect at pick number 58. What are we talking about? Baller, ball skills, 10-4's fumbles. He's going to come lay a hat. So just adding any additional to our defenses. His size is an issue, buddy. Man, no. He's a very inconsistent tackler. Touch your mouth. They be out there talking. No, no. I play for the state. You're reading false film. He is going to be a wish. You're reading false film. It's going to be an issue for him. The changes is going to be an issue for him.

28:46You're reading false film. I know. I know.

28:49James Harrison:You're reading false film. I'm reading false film. So now I'm blind and can't see. Yep. And then with that third, and then with the next pick, we go into the third round, and you know where we go. You know where we go. Where the ball has come from. Went to go find my man. Offensive tackle from Florida Gators. Austin Barber. Big bruh. 6 '6". 3 '16". Played tackle. So just, we're doing now, now we're just making sure. Depth. Everything's good. But the same way we went and got all of, we went and got traded for Titus Howard, went and signed Tevin Jenkins, re-signed Tevin Jenkins, signed Elton Jenkins, signed Zion Johnson.

29:31James Harrison:And then my boy, our other round, my boy Dalwar Jones, is coming back from a knee injury. So now we're just getting another offensive tackle here. We're just trying to get depth. You talking about we didn't have no line? We got a whole new line. Whole new line. Ballers, too, I might add. So, yeah. So, it's looking good right there. I mean, you wouldn't got to tackle that, you know, a project, so to speak. Listen, no, no, no, no, no. Not Spencer. Spencer's not a project. I didn't say Spencer was a project. I just said that he's going to have to deal with what? Hi, Smith. Everybody's going to have to deal with somebody.

30:09James Harrison:And everybody's coming over there. Everybody's coming over to your squad. He's going to have to deal with Miles Garrett. He's going to deal with Miles Garrett. How about that? He got the most sacks ever. Any player. How many sacks miles get against the Browns last year? I mean, get against the Steelers last year. He might come around. Listen, we're talking about the season. Zero. We'll see. Browns cook, bro. That's all I can really tell you. And you know they cooked. You know what the Browns cook? They went on ahead and cooked. What's that tasty stuff that everybody thinks is so good that's actually trash and you put a little food flavoring into it after you boil it?

30:47Oodles and noodles? The other one. What? What is it called? They call it something ramen. Ramen noodles.

30:56James Harrison:Yeah, I call it oodles and noodles. Ramen. Y 'all made some ramen. D-Bo, you are a full-blown hater. Of? Because of the Cleveland Browns. Okay. Because. I've never denied. You can't. You can't deny. I've never denied that. But you know that. I'm a man of my word. But you know, yeah, you know what it is, though. That was, if you are full-blown straight Steelers fan, I can see why you didn't like what happened. Because the Browns and Andrew Barry did the right thing. We needed, we addressed our actual needs. Whoa, what did they do? They did the right thing in the first three rounds. Be quiet, you keep talking.

31:41James Harrison:God damn. We cooked. We got an A. You see the Browns draft grade? A. Everybody say we got an A. Everybody knows that now you're mad. You're hating. Can I have my time? Because there's been a lot of times when we've been shitty, and we done picked the wrong players, and you come on this motherfucker laughing, and, oh, look, oh, what did the Browns do? Yeah, yeah. Sit right there and look mad. And look pissed. I ain't mad. Because don't look mad. Don't be mad. Don't be mad. Well, be accepting of this, of what happened. of the Browns actually doing what we're supposed to do. Listen, listen. Because I didn't get to talk.

32:20James Harrison:Here, let me, let me, I'm trying to tell you to stop cutting me off. Let me go back. Let me go back. Let me go back. Let me go back. I'm going to go ahead and give y 'all, I'm going to go ahead and give y 'all your flowers. Don't let me talk. I'm going to give you your flowers before, and then you can, then you can go talk. You know what? No, go ahead and say what you go say. I might not give you your flowers. I might get disrespect. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Good on. I'll take the flowers. If you're going to actually get the flowers, I'll take the flowers. If you're going to get the flowers, I'll take the flowers.

32:46All right, Joe. I'm going to give you your flowers, Joe. Please. The organization finally went out there and put their money where their mouth was and actually where they needed to get help at. Yes.

33:10I won't say pleasingly surprised. I'm just like I'm dumbfounded surprised, to be honest, because it's not, you know, it's not the Brown way. OK, I can. I'm taking all that. Yes. But I ain't gonna lie. I got some. I got some good players. But you draft that high. You have no choice.

33:34James Harrison:Okay, okay. All right, all right, all right. I got you. But this is what I'm telling you, D-Bro. When I'm saying this, I'm super passionate because it's been so many other obvious decisions out there that the Browns just wouldn't make. And that gentleman just making me so mad as a Browns fan. Watching from the outside in, you say, oh, they go to Browns. They're going to do some Brown shit. And I'll be like, damn, they are sometimes. And it would suck because you'll watch it and there's nothing you could do. You'll just be a part of it. I'm trying to win. I'm doing my part. And then something just happens to me like this.

34:03James Harrison:God, why? I don't think that's the right move. So when I actually genuinely feel like, damn, there we go. I wanted us to get offensive tackle, wide receivers, help out the squad, telling how we could build the team. And I'm seeing it happening in front of my eyes. So I'm genuinely hype because when you do come on here and you talk shit about us doing dumb things, I don't have a leg to stand on. I sit here and look crazy because I'm like, I did. God, we did. We did. You're right. Right. You're right. So that's my objectivity when I'm like, okay, but we did do good. Okay, now I can be here. Okay, let's have a little party because you finally picked the right plequel.

34:42James Harrison:Look, and it's still early. Plequel? The right people. It's still early, Debo. I'm so excited. It's still early. It's still early. They could still not pan out. But like last year's draft, Harold Fannin Jr. worked out. Carson Swechinger, defensive player of the year. Defensive rookie of the year. You know what I'm saying? And then we got Harold Fannin, the tight end that we drafted. Last year, good players, draft picks, and they ended up panning out. These dudes are the picks that we will want them to draft. We'll see if they pan out. But after the draft, I can have a little party because on paper it looks good.

35:16James Harrison:It's not in the season yet. You know what I'm saying? But we got time right now to celebrate a little bit. Like, okay, at least y 'all are making the right decisions. Shador, they're giving you weapons. They're giving you protection. I've been pushing for you now. You know what? But you know what? Stand up. I'm going to be happy for you to do it. 39:33James Harrison:You're going to have to? Yes, and the defense, y 'all going to be coming. It's going to be, I want to be able to walk in there believing that we can score some points on offense and our defense is going to be a good defense. I'm coming there with a full team. Y 'all got a full team every time. Still has got a team every time. I want to come in there with a team. I understand, I understand. You don't want to be there. I'll be talking to you and you be, I'll be like, Joe, you be. I'm just not, Debo, I don't even, I'm not, yeah, I don't want to be there.

40:01James Harrison:So, yeah, I'm stuttering. So, I'm over there. I did D-Bo like, yeah, Joe, so I'm like this. He blow my hands like that. I say, yeah, Joe ain't got no answer. Yeah, bro. Hey, Joe. Yes. It's good to see you having this back, man. Brother. It's good to see your joy, even if it's just for a short offseason. You know, just give me a little bit of time. We still got the season to come. We going to have these shows during the week. You know? you gonna come in there with a cigar on me I'm gonna come in there with my bone on with the bone on, with the little, my dog bone Joe, Joe Joe, if you come in there with a dog bone Oh my, see don't even, okay See, now you going crazy Now you going crazy And see, here's the thing Here's the thing, see like It's only two times a year we gonna have any type of objectivity, like only type of conflict for real Only twice a year Oh, now it's conflict.

41:00I thought you wanted both teams to do well. You see? Well, look. Today's show. Today's show.

41:05James Harrison:Today's show. Oh, you better not come back over here. Bro, what you mean? I can't never. Yo, punk ass. Over there. Because we still went and grabbed, what, five more? We got a receiver. He'll be decent. He going to be a good pickup for depth if he can make it through, you know, after you get through that four down there, you know, get a little mess. But the tight end. See, no, no, no. You skipped over that. No, no, no. Don't skip over that. Don't skip over that. Don't skip over that pick. That one, I didn't know about that. That little receiver. My man, what was that? In the fourth round? Hey, you got to really look at it.

41:45James Harrison:You got to really look at it. You got to really look at it. I was really looking at it, and I really thought it was crazy. Made up for it with the tight end right after that. Made up for it. No, that pick really happened. And they strapped him, and I was trying to look up his stats. in this highlight tape. And I was like, oh my, it shouldn't be this hard to find a fourth round draft picks highlight tape. That's first of all. And then the first joint, he's running a little slant. Listen, it's more for the depth of a four or five. He better play, if he's a four-phase special teams guy, he better be.

42:22James Harrison:Gotta be. You understand? Does he play Gunner? He better be Gunner. He better be kicked off the turn. Listen, it's an opening there. It may be an opening there. Look, you got to understand. Him in the fourth round, they have to have a plan. Because that pick right there was crazy. Debo. And you say they keep making up for the tight end. I think you keep trying to go past it because I think you think it was crazy. I didn't say it was crazy. I just said I don't know the intricacies on the inside. I ain't seen the tape. You ain't seen the tape. I ain't seen the tape. Did you look for the tape? You couldn't find the tape.

43:03Like I said, my tight end done made up for it. Okay.

43:10James Harrison:Oh, man. That one was good. The tight end. Okay. Okay. The tight end. Now, that right there, that's a stellar. He made up for it. Okay. Now, for sure. We got a lot of tight ends. Listen. Listen. That is what we want at tight end right there. That's what he is. Okay. He going to put them hands on you. He could go ahead and play that fullback. He could be that flip over that we love. Oh, my goodness. Cam, brother, what are you talking about? But look, that's what I'm trying to tell you. National champion. Okay. Okay. He's got the championship pedigree. Listen, I'm seeing three tight ends set right now.

43:43Okay. You got Washington. You got Friar Moon. And then you got him. Y 'all know what's going to happen. Y 'all coming out there with the big bodies, He's talking about they going to run the ball. You going to say he's the best. He's going to send Washington Fryer, move down the middle and have him protect and maybe slip out on you too. Get out of here.

44:04James Harrison:Yep. He's going to go ahead and get the D-tackle over there at Notre Dame. He's going to go ahead and get the D-tackle over there at Notre Dame. I'm not picking just a returner in the fourth round. I'm going to go with, like, my first round picked a round. Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe. Stop trying to backpedal. Stop trying to backpedal. You picked up KCC Conceptions in the what? Second round? First. First round. Yeah. I would have said it would have been okay for the second. No, you didn't. You picked him up in the second. You got the tackle in the first. No, you got two first round picks. Yes, brother.

44:38James Harrison:That's why I'm trying to let you know. Just so much. So much. I understand. I understand, though. All right. Keep going. Keep going. When you push back to get him, y 'all felt like y 'all got lucky. And then you didn't want to take a chance on that one. because I think that would have still been there too. Fifth round pick for the Cleveland Browns. What you got? Center, Alabama.

45:032 ,400 snaps. SEC depth. Okay, I'll give you that. Need it. You need all the offensive linemen. Y 'all should have no shortage. Y 'all should have just went 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. offensive linemen.

45:25James Harrison:Brother. No, we shouldn't have. Look, don't be coming up here with what we did. Go back. What else y 'all got? We got what is it? Jennings? Robert Spears, Jennings. Okay. What you got to say about, okay. Cool. Like I said, we down there. Right now, we're going to have to speak. I mean, we down there. You know what I'm saying? We down there. We down there. So you can't go wrong. We down there. We got another tight end. I'm going to tell you where we took off at, though. Go ahead. That last pick. Okay. That last pick. The running back. The running back. Hey, hey. Yes. Hey. I like him. That seven-round pick.

46:10Oh, Eli. I like him. Look, bro. Hey, check this. Check it right here. We got a couple videos of him at the draft. Check out his first one, Joe. Let me see.

46:24I am, yeah, I got a

46:29Oh, Steeler

46:33That boy went to over there at what is it ain't thinking of the name, we played him Pittsburgh, he was oh man, give me the name of the high school what's the name of the high school Mount Lebanon, that's what it was he was over there at Mount Lebanon on. He got him a state championship over there. I think it was 21, 20 or 21. I like that. I like that.

47:00James Harrison:Yes, sir. Hey, man, like... Full dress blue. Full dress. Deep.

47:17Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Look here, man. I got another one for you. This is before he was even drafted. Throw up the numbers comparison to somebody named McCaffrey. Uh-oh. Yes. Hey. It's only one. It's only one on there that he ain't tied or better than. Okay. Vertical. Okay. Joe, we got this in the seven. Now, listen. I done watched this tape. Okay? I done watched this tape. Hey, look. Yeah, yeah. Guess what? Guess what? I did, too. I found this tape. Hey, hold on. I done watched this tape. Now, McCaffrey got that unh, unh, unh. He got that unh. He got that unh. He got that unh. Mm-hmm. But McCaffrey got that unh, unh, unh.

48:05Watch this. Yes.

48:06James Harrison:And you see the one-handers? That's a lot of one-handers. A lot of one-handers. Uh-oh. Who did we lose? Who did we lose? It looked like we could put in the same place and do the same thing right now. Gainwell. Thank you. Yep. Thank you. Nah. I keep saying we. Stillers. Us. Me. Stillers, y 'all. You. That's going to be a little. That's what they call that man. They call that man. To be in your friend. They call that man poor man Christian McCaffrey. You mess me up sometime. You know what I'm saying? They call that man poor man Christian McCaffrey. That we going to call it right now. That we going to call it right now.

48:40All right. Until you get out there.

48:41James Harrison:And you up the price. And then. Deebo. Deebo. Deebo. What? All that good old talk. all that good old time. What you talking about? That's it, him. No, no, no, no, no. I'm trying to tell you what, then how just to put icing on the cake, how we went, now I'm going to go back to you. You think you cooked there. Our Cleveland Browns, sixth round pick, happened to be, remember that quarterback you kept on talking about, that Distillers? Fourth quarterback. The one that ran, the one that ran the 4-3, the one that was real athletic, the one that was tall, the one that was like, man, you know who's going to be the steal of the draft.

49:25James Harrison:I don't know what you're talking about. The Steelers, we can get them real late. We can get them real late. I don't know what you're talking about. Remember Taylor Greene? When the Cleveland Browns, the sixth round pick, number 182, the Cleveland Browns select Taylor Greene, quarterback, Arkansas. Boom, boom. Taylor Greene. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's who we got. I mean, that's who I got. That's how my Browns got. Just when people was like, oh, yeah, go get Ty Simpson in the first round and y 'all need to have it with the quarterbacks and all that. We got Deshaun. We got Shador, my good man. All of them are my good man.

50:05Did they really get that quarterback?

50:10James Harrison:Yes, they did, people. At the sixth. So now we just to have people in the room. I think Dylan might got to go. Deshaun depended on what happens. Did they get the quarterback that I was talking about? Yes, we did. When the fuck? Did they do that? Yes, we did, Debo, in the sixth round. Like, you probably wasn't, I don't know if you were still watching or anything, but yeah, that happened, man. So just to put the whole, just everything going for, like, Andrew Barry, I would like to literally tell you. That's what's foolish of y 'all anyway. Now you got what, five, six quarterbacks? That's Browning.

50:55James Harrison:No, that's not. No, that's not. We only got, we only had, listen, you said we need to have arms. It's OTAs and all that. We need to have arms. We need to have active arms. So we got four quarterbacks on the roster right now. That is not, that is perfect. That is perfect. and they know how they're going to split the reps out. Deshaun, listen. These young bulls, listen. How they splitting the reps, Joe? Listen, Taylor Green, he ain't getting no reps. He's getting those members of the Shador reps that he got last year, like those extra sideline joints. Those are him and Dylan Gabriel splitting those baby reps.

51:29James Harrison:And then Shador and Watson are any, that's first team. They're splitting first team reps. And they're going to figure it out from there. Who wants to start? I want Shador to start, and then if he doesn't play, then go to Deshaun. People are thinking the other way. Deshaun's starting to go to Shador if he doesn't play well. I'm more Shador started last year. You already gave my dog Deshaun 200. I'd rather have both of them going for it right now. They're both in the building. They're both doing what they got to do. Let's see. We got time. But we know Shador's there. We're bringing everybody in.

52:01Here, let me give you a little situation scenario over there, okay? What's up? Now, you say you got them basically 1A, 1B, okay? Now, you got them in there competing against each other. Yeah. And you see about that much difference better in Watson.

52:20James Harrison:I'm leaning towards Shador because on the field, Shashon Watson is a professional. He's been in the league longer. That underwear quarterback, that on the sideline stuff, I'm not going to let that trick my mind to forget what's going on out there in the real game. Like all of the spinning around, that doesn't really work. I need to see just, I'm not going to let Deshaun, if they're close, I'm going with Shador because I'm thinking lost a step a little bit. I like Deshaun's game, but I'm not letting that underwear Olympics trick me into thinking, oh, we just look so much better. I'm like, because nobody can touch him.

52:56James Harrison:They're not live bullets. You know what I'm saying? I remember Shador, he started for us last year. He's working with Tom Monken. If he's processing and everything's looking smooth, I'm going with him until he shows me. Otherwise, he started looking bad. Then we can go to Watson. Like, I'm trying to see what I have in Shador. Because I already know what I got in Deshaun. I gave him 200. I'm not planning on giving him anything more. I got the young bulls. And if they're not what we need, we're in the same position we were for the last 25 years. We needed a franchise quarterback. So we got to go get one, find one, hopefully.

53:27James Harrison:You know, we're still in the same predicament. But right now, we got Shador that I'm thinking that can make it happen. So that's why I'm leaning. Let's get him these weapons. Let's get him in the line. Got the defense. Let's go. Let's show improvement. Shador, I'm rooting for you. Andrew Barry, in my opinion now, is rooting for you because he's getting receivers. He's getting offense. We got defense. Let's move to points. I mean, like I said, I don't think Andrew Barry was ever not rooting for Shador. Yeah, no, I think Andrew Barry's been rooting for Shador. I think he has too. I think he has too.

54:01James Harrison:I'm thinking, but when Coach was there, you can root for him only so much. You're not the coach implementing the plays and, like, helping him out and giving him the reads and telling him, like, processing it. So I think Munkin now is the guy that he's going to be in the meetings with, helping him out, helping him process, like, going through. What plays do you like? What plays do you not like?
