4:12welcome back to Debo and Joe I'm your host James Debo Harrison and I'm here with my co-host Joe Hayden please make sure you like subscribe and download where you get your podcast how you doing

4:25James Harrison:today I'm doing great brother Debo another good day another blessed day be on the pod chop it up Talk this good ball with my good man. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Definitely. Definitely. Brother, before we get started, we're actually going to talk about the possibility of Russell Wilson. They said emerging as one of the people that could end up going to Kansas City. But looking right now, letting us know. Yeah, they just got some breaking news right here that Justin Fields, it looks like he's going to be there. Adam Scheffner said, Trey, the New York Jets, sorry, are finalizing a deal that will send Justin Fields to Kansas City, pending a physical per ESPN sources.

5:16Other teams that were interested, but Phil's preferred preference was to go to Kansas City. Yes. Yeah, that would be my – Smart man, Debo. Yeah. That would definitely be my preference too. And I really didn't think it was nowhere that Russell would actually be going just because I didn't think that was something that they would personally want to do. and when you looked at everybody that was out there, I think the only thing that would be close to it looking for somebody with veteran leadership would probably be Kirk Cousins, but I don't see him accepting a short deal to go there and basically just line up to - I do now.

6:04To be backup because, I mean, for Justin Fields, this could be a great opportunity for him.

6:10James Harrison:Would you think? For sure. Anybody that's in that position, that's a quarterback that's like, Like, nobody really knows if you're a starter, backup. You're trying to still get yourself right. Patrick Mahomes is going to come back there. You're trying to go to a team that's established. They got Andy Reid. They have great coaching. So if you want to be able to get your last draw, like he had his chance. He came from New York, then went to Pittsburgh, then, you know what I'm saying, different situations. If I'm a quarterback, I'm trying to go to the best situation possible to show that I still got it.

6:42James Harrison:You know what I'm saying? It's not me. You know what I'm saying? And get to a system where if you don't succeed with the Chiefs, Justin Fields, it's not that it's the kind of like, then it's not looking good for you. Do you know what I'm saying? So if I'm him, I'm super excited. I'm trying to get there to Kansas City because you got people working around you. It's not just, they're not just trying to put it all on you. Andy Reid is moving to shake in the offense. There's going to be moving parts. People are going to be going in motions. So it's a great quarterback spot to be if somebody's in a situation like him.

7:14James Harrison:I'm super excited for him because they were talking about Russell Wilson. With the Chiefs, they know they got Patrick Mahomes. They just need somebody to come in there and steady the ship just for a little bit. Just don't come out here. Don't try to go crazy. Don't mess nothing up. We're the Chiefs. We're good. Patrick Mahomes is on the way. You just come out here and don't do nothing crazy. We just went and got you a running back, too, Kenneth Walker. So we're going to, you know what I'm saying, we're trying to get the ground game right. We're not going to have you out here just trying to sling it all around.

7:42James Harrison:we know you're not Patrick Mahomes. So I like it for the Chiefs. I like it for Justin Fields because his situation, you need to get to a team that, you know what I'm saying, makes you look good, makes that – this is your hurrah. You know what I'm saying? People are always – you're bouncing around. We don't know. So this is the best situation, I think, for him to be able to be like, all right, this is my last hurrah. Yeah, but for me, I don't know. I don't know why that would be like his – I mean, I don't know who the other teams were, so I couldn't say exactly. But for me, it's like, OK, I'm going to go here and take what is going to end up being a backup position.

8:21And depending on if he signs a year or more, you know, whatever that term of that contract is, it's going to be as a backup. So you necessarily going there to show and then be able to leave only works if it's a if it's a year deal. I mean, I'm hoping that's what the case is, but if it's not, then you're just going there to sit there and, you know, primarily just back up Patrick Mahomes and you basically done gave up, you know, your right to just go and fight for a starting position.

8:50James Harrison:Yeah, but what else are your options? Nobody's beating down Justin Fields' door, in my opinion. So for me, I'm just, if I'm him, I'm trying to get on the team that I know maybe Patrick Mahomes is going to come back. But the Kansas City Chiefs, the organization, the spot, being able to show people, like, just trying to put my best foot forward. I want to get on the team that already got kind of wheels rolling. You know what I'm saying? I'm just a piece of the puzzle showing dudes, like, I'm just not, I'm not going to bring down your team. So I think for him, it's like, I can come here, still show people that I can be a starting quarterback.

9:23James Harrison:It's not my fault. So I'm hearing you with the one-year deal, back up. But I'm like, nobody's beating down Justin Fields' door to be their starting quarterback somewhere. yeah yeah i understand what you're saying i just that that was you know really my only thought or or or concern about it no i feel you i feel you because if you if you you're trying to go get a starting job you know patchman home's coming back i'm not starting here so well we'll see if it's a year deal then yeah it could be a possibility of something him going out there saying okay look i played great this is what i could do when you put me in something that you know uh it's it's it's designed for me it's a it's a it's a good group of coaches it's a good players when you put me in something like this right here this is what I'm able to do like I said if that's a year deal and he goes out there and he balls out then yeah it could be a possibility of something where next year he could be going somewhere else and and possibly have a chance to fight for a starting position that's I mean if it if it ends up being a year deal then yeah I would change my opinion or thought process.

10:29James Harrison:I think you got a good thought process because you're trying to think Justin Fields wants to continue. If you want to continue to be a starting quarterback, you're not going to be the future starting quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. So, if that's the long term, that's not the spot that you would want him to go. You know what I'm saying? So, I'm with you on that. Yeah. But I guess ESPN said the Steelers offseason moves hint at McCarthy's offensive player. Yes, Jubo. Hint. What you mean, Hint? What did I tell y 'all Tuesday? Y 'all talking about a hint. Like, Joe, what did I say last week as soon as we signed Rico Dowdle, Joe?

11:09What did I say, Joe? I said, that ain't no hint. That was a statement. We are dedicating to running the ball, okay? Getting back to Stiller football. And just as, boy, was it Michael Pittman? Yes. When he was on the Pat McAfee show, that man said, yo, about his conversation with Mike McCarthy. He said he got him fired up. He said he feel like Pittsburgh. He said style of football. What style is that? Smash mouth. Gritty. And he feels like he fits perfectly. Yes, he does. Okay? Yes. Do you know what this reminds me of right now? What does this remind you of, Brother Debo? This reminds me of back when Ben first came in.

11:52we had a strong running game with Bussy, with Parker. We run, run, run. They say, oh, shit. They running on us eight, nine in the box. Boom. And then we bomb on the game. Boom. Now, the hint was when we picked up Pittman Jr., okay? That's a guy that can actually catch the ball very good. You know what I'm saying? And anything you throw to him, he go do it. And he was big. But the hint was he liked to get physical. The boy liked to block. He liked the dirty part of his job. We're going to need all that. Okay. Now, right there, you got another receiver in DK that liked to do the same thing.

12:38James Harrison:Like to get real physical. Hey, what Rico said that Mike McCartney, he wants to establish everything at the line of scrimmage and do it successfully. The run game, that's where you start with the line of scrimmage, the run game. You know what that do when you're successful? That lead the team stacking the box. And now they're giving you the one-on-ones with DK. And the added advantage of that, we got tight ends. We got Friar moving Washington. Both good blocking tight ends that can catch the ball. Yes, yes, yes. Yo, I'm a little excited about what we can look like. If we can get that done, do it successfully, that takes a whole lot of pressure off of the quarterback position.

13:25And if Will Howard is our guy, that's a great position for him to be in as a young quarterback. Just as it was for Ben when he started his career. I know there ain't no decision on Aaron Rodgers right now, but he's not playing for Aaron Rodgers to have to make his decisions. He's building this team for the future. And while we wait on Rodgers to see if he go either play or retire, we still are building towards the future and preparing so that we could do it either way. Rather, it's Will going in there, finding out if he can do it. And if he can't, it's always next year where we could go and pick up a quarterback.

14:06Joe, what do you think?

14:09James Harrison:I think you are preaching the gospel right now, Debo, because actions speak louder than words. Who were we going to go out there and get? During free agency, what we needed was a receiver. We went and got that. Big physical, Michael Pittman Jr. What we said we needed was another running back because we lost Gainwell. We got Donald. What we needed was another cornerback, opposite Peasy. We got that. So what he's doing is he's making, he's letting us know right now, the quarterback wasn't what I think that we needed. Right now on our roster, we have Will Howard. We have Mason Rudolph. We're waiting for Aaron Rodgers.

14:49James Harrison:We're chilling to see what's going on. But right now in my room, there was Malik Willis out there. And we could have, okay, everybody could say that. But the other quarterbacks out there, it was Kyler Murray. You know what I'm saying? Tua. Geno Smith. You know what I'm saying? And now there's Kirk Cousins still out there that's chilling. So he's like, would you want me to go jump and get one of these quarterbacks where back in the day in free agency, we went and got Mitch Trubisky. We signed Justin Fields. You know what I'm saying? We signed Russell Wilson as like quarterbacks to come in. Like that's just, that's not going to change the needle.

15:24James Harrison:We would just be bringing in another guy, you know what I'm saying? So it would just be status quo. So right now what he's saying is, I'm not just going to go do that. Right now I have Will Howard. He's been the backup quarterback last year under Aaron Rodgers, watched him, seeing what was going on. He was hurt. So that was a year under his belt to be able to, he just didn't have to come in and play his rookie season. Like maybe it takes him a little bit of time, understand the game, chilling, just the flow, the vibe, the locker room, how the NFL works. So McCarthy's here. Oh, I like Will. We're going to have a chance to really go in here.

15:55James Harrison:This episode is brought to you by Spreaker, the platform responsible for a rapidly spreading condition known as podcast brain. Symptoms include buying microphones you don't need, explaining RSS feeds to confused relatives and saying things like, sorry, I can't talk right now, I'm editing audio. If this sounds familiar, you're probably already a podcaster. The good news is Spreaker makes the whole process simple. You record your show, upload it once, and Spreaker distributes it everywhere people listen. Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and about a dozen apps your cousin swears are the next big thing. Even better, Spreaker helps you monetize your show with ads, meaning your podcast might someday pay for, well, more microphones.

I'm Nancy Glass, host of the Burden of Guilt Season 2 podcast. This is a story about a horrendous lie that destroyed two families. Late one night, Bobby Gumpright became the victim of a random crime. He pulls the gun. Tells me to lie down on the ground. He identified Jermaine Hudson as the perpetrator. Jermaine was sentenced to 99 years.

17:13James Harrison:I'm like, Lord, this can't be real. I thought it was a mistaken identity. The best lie is partial truth. For 22 years, only two people knew the truth. 18:01and expensive friction. And how did a 2023 event called Wagageddon change the paddock forever? That day is just seared into my memory. I'm culture writer and F1 expert Lily Herman, and these are just a few of the questions I'm tackling on No Grip, a Formula One culture podcast that dives into the underexplored pockets of the sport. 18:43Hey, I'm Jay Shetty, host of the On Purpose podcast. My latest episode is with Hilary Duff, singer, actress, and multi-platinum artist. Hilary opens up about complicated family dynamics, motherhood, and releasing her first record in over 10 years. We talk about what it's taken to grow up in the entertainment industry and stay grounded through every chapter. It's a raw and honest conversation about identity, evolution, and building a life that truly matters. You desire in family like this picture, and that's not reality a lot of the time. It's for people. My sister and I don't speak. It's definitely a very painful part of my life, And I hope it's not forever, but it's for right now.

19:29Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In 2023, a story gripped the UK, evoking horror and disbelief. The nurse who should have been in charge of caring for tiny babies is now the most prolific child killer in modern British history. Everyone thought they knew how it ended. A verdict? A villain? A nurse named Lucy Letby. Lucy Letby has been found guilty. But what if we didn't get the whole story? The moment you look at the whole picture, the case collapses. I'm Amanda Knox, and in the new podcast, Doubt, the case of Lucy Letby, we follow the evidence and hear from the people that lived it to ask what really happened when the world decided who Lucy Letby was.

20:18no voicing of any skepticism or doubt. It'll cause so much harm at every single level if the British establishment of this is wrong. Listen to Doubt, The Case of Lucy Letby on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

20:36James Harrison:With this big dude that's learned the game of the year, he's not a rookie again. He's a second year, you know what I'm saying, a drafted player from Ohio State. He played in big games. So I like him as the quarterback. Like, I like him more than I want to bring in a Tua or I want to bring in a Kyler Murray or sign a Malik Willis for 20-some million dollars a year. You know what I'm saying? The draft is still there. There's still Kirk Cousins sitting there for the local backup. But, like, when you say that about Kirk, Kirk got to take the little deal. Geno's taking the 3.3 from wherever he signed at.

21:07James Harrison:I forgot who Geno Smith just signed with. But he's taking 3.3 million. So, like, these veteran, older dudes like that, there's not too many dudes out there. We got Mason. We got Will. So I'm saying actions be louder than words. He went and got what we needed. Receiver, running back, we're going to run the ball. We're going to be physical. Okay, that's going to protect a quarterback, and he's not going to have to be my man, Josh Allen. You know what I'm saying? He's not going to have to come do too much. He's going to have to just be out there, not making mistakes, hand the ball off. We're going to keep it down in distance.

21:42James Harrison:We're going to stay ahead of the sticks. third and short third and threes third and fours way easier than third and nines so we're just going to be consistent with that defense lock up we got ballers here this the spots that we got like you know i'm saying joy porter jr you're gonna have to stand up obviously you're baller sean just standing up tj stand up uh all of the players that we have stand up you know what i'm saying so i'm looking at it we still got time we still got draft picks to get stuff there but i'm I'm like, I'm not in a rush. What are we rushing for? We got, I believe, if what McCarthy feels, that he's not making a move, and he did make moves.

22:23James Harrison:We're just not making the certain moves that y 'all feel like, oh, no, we need a quarterback, so they're not making moves. No, making plenty of moves. Making the right moves. Educated moves. Moves that he believes in, not crazy, just jumping out for no reason. So that's how I feel about it. And, yeah, I think the Steelers are doing great, and we're going to be solid. yeah plus you know Mike McCarthy said that he likes you know he he was he was impressed with him like obviously what he did at uh old state so from there you know yeah we're waiting on you know Rodgers so to speak but you know depending on how long that wait is you know they let Will get in there you get through OTAs you do some of that stuff like that and now is that a situation where yo they're not seeing what they've seen in OTAs Rodgers decides that he wants to come back or he's willing to come back.

23:14But now is that a position where we're like, okay, you can come back, but it's a backup. I don't see him coming back as a backup. I don't see that happening, especially if they done went through a process and they done, you know what I'm saying? So I like what he's doing. I'm cool with everything that he's doing and especially just like, you know what? We got this dude here. I like him. I liked him at home state. I'm going to go with him. I'm going to give him my opportunity. from everything that he said, it sounds like he's going to give him an opportunity. So I'm all game with it, going with it and running with it and just seeing where it is because we're still building everything to where we'll have everything in place except for the quarterback if that's if it doesn't work out in our favor.

24:01James Harrison:Yeah, and if he don't hit, then we still got players at all the other positions. So we know we need a quarterback. We need to address that. But you don't know what you don't know. So you got to let them play and then we'll know. No question, brother. No question. Kenneth Gainwell admitted that the Steelers weren't his first choice. Gainwell addressed the media as a member of the Bucs. He admitted he had hoped that he would have signed with the Buccaneers last season over the Steelers. He said it was a great opportunity for me. I wanted to be here last year. But, you know, I'm just happy to be here now.

24:40It was a great opportunity for me to be back in the South. I'm from here. And cool. What do you, you got any issues with this? I mean, what do you think of this statement? You think he throwing any slack? Think he throwing any shade?

24:57James Harrison:Brother Devo, no, no. I think he's being honest. And that's what happens when you ask people questions. They're going to give you an honest answer. You know, I don't think it has to do with any shade. He also said he appreciates, you know what I'm saying, the time in Pittsburgh. He was able to let him show his talents, show his skills. You know what I'm saying? So if you just put in a certain quote, want to go back to the South, say he played with Philly. You know what I'm saying? It's home. It's hot. Would you rather play in Florida than in Pittsburgh? You know what I'm saying? Like maybe Tampa wasn't giving them a deal.

25:29James Harrison:And now he was trying to get there. They got more money from Pitt. He will prove it. So now he got the sign where he wants to play. So, like, if you just be honest, it wasn't my first choice. Maybe Pittsburgh, people like, would you rather go to Pittsburgh or Tampa? Some people might want to go to Pittsburgh. Gainwell's more of a Southern guy. He's from Mississippi. You know what I'm saying? So, that could just be preference. So, I don't think that he's throwing shade. I just think that if people ask you a question, you're able to give an honest answer where it doesn't have to be not throwing shade to nowhere.

26:01James Harrison:I respect everything that happened there. He went hard. He did everything he had to do. He's not like he cut corners because he didn't like the Pittsburgh. No, he balled out. He was the offensive MVP for the team. So, like. No, he was the MVP of the team. Yeah, so, like, he went hard. So, right now, like, he can say that because you did everything you had to do. They actually, was that your first choice? Actually, it wasn't my first choice. I wanted to be in Tampa. You know what I'm saying? Back home, back from the South. Boom. Cool. No shade. Honest answer. Thank you, Gainwell. I hope you succeed and do abundantly great.

26:34James Harrison:You know what I'm saying? And, like, I think it's just you ask me a question, I'm going to give you an honest answer. Yeah, I ain't seeing no shade with it, nothing like that. I mean, a man got a 2 for 14. You know, what else you want him to say? Like, I mean, he said, you know, last year he would have, if that was on the option of one of the places he could have went or whatever, he would have went there. It ain't always about where you want to go. It comes down to who wants you. And if it happens to be where you want to be. Good. you know what I'm saying bro yes and if it's not then oh well you gotta you gotta go ahead get over that and and keep moving be a professional if people like if they put it in their perspective Debo if like somebody had a job too and they left the job you know what I'm saying went to another job and was asked about that and they was like man nah I like this you know what I'm saying they might say some things about that job you know what I'm saying like they're actual real people that you when you're there work your hardest You never said nothing about that job.

27:36James Harrison:Once you get out the door, you're like, man, that job was kind of, you know what I'm saying, a little different over there. Look at Mike McCarthy. He was a guy that he coached Dallas. What he tell you is that he's always wanted to be a coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the opportunities, timing, and alignment, it wasn't there. Everything fell in place, and now he's right there where he's always wanted to be probably since he was a kid. You know what I'm saying? Hey, you can't make that up. He was from the crib. So people like, you can say there's the status quo answers, the politically corrects.

28:13James Harrison:But when you get down to it, it's like, you were a Pittsburgh fan, but he couldn't say that when Coach T is coaching the team. How you going? You know what I'm saying? Like, you just green back. You can't even talk about them over there. Oh, man. Oh, man. I don't even want to talk about this. Somebody. I guess NFL analysts. You know what it is. The Browns need to be a player of caliber team. You know exactly what time. Uh-huh. Yep. No. I don't know. Why do you, Joe, what? Who, why did they just say NFL Amos? No, no, no. He only want to put his name on it. He put his name on it. No, he didn't. I don't want to say his name because I want to say he didn't put his name on it.

29:00That's what, because I wouldn't check that. I wouldn't have read up on my man. I don't. I don't want to care, Joe. You want to read up on that now, huh? Don't you? You want to do it.

29:10James Harrison:You see, I'm all for the Steelers when we're talking about the Steelers. I ain't never for the Browns. I ain't never been. I ain't about to predicate and placate like I care about them. Okay, I understand. You only got one energy. Go ahead. What do you think of that statement, Joe? You think that they are actually playoff caliber? Do you think that, yes, whatever your boy Barry Queen is doing over there? Andrew Barry. Don't disrespect that man. I forgot. Sorry. GM Andrew Barry of the Cleveland Browns. Of the Cleveland Browns. GM Andrew Barry. Yes. This is what I'm trying to do. And see, this is what made me so mad with you because I thought I had.

30:02And then you come on. See how you got all the Pittsburgh stuff on, but then you want to come on here.

30:06James Harrison:Because we started. Look, because I'm telling you, I gave you the same energy when we talking about. No, you don't. You knew when we lost. No, I ain't going to say we. Me. You remember that energy? Except when we play each other. Except when we play each other. That's the only thing. When we play each other. What do you think of the statement, Joe? I get turned on. Do you think the Browns are playoff caliber? Nah. Yes, yes, yes. And this is the reason why. Listen, listen. We still, the same way I'm talking about Omar Khan cooking and doing what he has to do. He ain't cooking like Omar. Those two put his name in the same place.

30:45James Harrison:Listen, he's not yet. He's not yet. He's not yet. But that's the thing. We don't need splash yet. We just don't need splash. We need to get the right pieces. We need to sign right now. Obviously, like I said, we needed linemen. So we had to go get the offensive line right. And I think that's going to be an address. And then we still have to do more addressing to the offensive line. We're probably going to get a tackle in the draft. Who's the offensive line? We need a tackle in the draft. What offensive line? We do have an offensive line. Who is it? Titus Howard that we just signed from the Texans.

31:20James Harrison:We got Eldon Jenkins. Elton Jenkins, the center slash guard that we got from free agency, from Green Bay. Okay? We signed back Tevin Jenkins, our guard, and then we signed— You got E. Jenkins and T. Jenkins. Yes, and then we got Zion Johnson that we signed as our three-year,$49 million. Durable. That's the only one that's going to be there in three years. There you go. There you go with that. We had an injured DeJuan Jones. He hurt his ACL, so he's going through it. He should be able to play back this year. But we're going to use either. We got our first-round pick is going to be an offensive lineman and or a wide receiver.

31:59James Harrison:We got two. Who told you that, Andrew Barry? No. I just know. They don't even talk to you, Joe. I'm not giving out all of our goods right now, Debo. Just relax. Just relax. Me and Andrew Barry, we good, okay? That's why I'm letting you know what's going on right now. We believe Andrew Barry knows we got two. We don't have to worry about them. We don't have to worry about a quarterback right now. We have two quarterbacks that are going to be fighting for it. We got Deshaun Watson still. He's going to be on the team this season going against the door. It's a long year. So both of them are going to— Dylan Gabriel ain't even there, huh?

32:39James Harrison:Listen, yes, he's there. He's there. Respectfully, he's there. But the fight is a two-dog race. And he's not in it right now. It's either a two-dog fight or a two-horse race. Two-horse race. Which one, Joe? Two-horse race or a two-dog fight. Either one of the two. Okay. So we got that. The defense. So you be fighting dogs now, huh? No, see, T-Ball. All right, well, let's change that. Two-horse race. Okay? Y 'all supposed to be the dog pound. Look at you getting scared. Y 'all supposed to be a two-dog fight. Look at you. Look at you. That's why I know, Joe. You still got a lot better than Browns in you, man.

33:14So hesitant, you worried about the uh-uh. Be aggressive.

33:16James Harrison:People love it. People love their dogs. Look at you. People love their dogs. You know why I got my dog, Joe? What? My dog is there to protect me. He is there to give me enough time to go down there and, if need be, get shot and killed so I can get to my gun and defend myself. That's it. I'm going to be hurt that he gone, but I'm going to go ahead the next day and get me a new one, raise him right, and get him to do the same thing. It's an animal. I love my animal. Okay? You understand that? But he is there for a purpose. It ain't to feed him and just say, oh, cuckoo, cuckoo, boy, da-da-da. No.

33:55When somebody run in here, the alarm go off, you better bite him. You better bite somebody ass. I hear you. I hear you. Alert me. Do something.

34:04James Harrison:It's an alarm. You got to be down there taking a gun out of his hand while he robbing my house. You got an alarm dog. I got a security. You got an alarm dog. So back to my man, Andrew Barry. because Andrew Barry, like I said. He cooking with boiling water. I'll give him that. Like I said, at the same time, we got my water. We got our defense is set, too. So don't forget, now we've got, we lost D. Bush, but we signed Quincy Williams. And then our rookie, did he win defensive rookie of the year? Probably. Yeah, you already know Carson. You already know he's not playing. So linebackers, defense solid.

34:44James Harrison:We need to make sure that we get Shador another. And Shador, he has another year of growth. Another year of growth. So I'm liking what we're doing. We need to still, we haven't gone flashy. If we would have got a receiver, I would have been geeked. I would have been so hyped. But I know he still knows that we need that. So we're going to get that in the draft. This episode is brought to you by Spreaker, the platform responsible for a rapidly spreading condition known as podcast brain. 36:00This is a story about a horrendous lie that destroyed two families. Late one night, Bobby Gumpright became the victim of a random crime. He pulls the gun, tells me to lie down on the ground. He identified Jermaine Hudson as the perpetrator. Jermaine was sentenced to 99 years.

36:24James Harrison:I'm like, Lord, this can't be real. I thought it was a mistaken identity. The best lie is partial truth. For 22 years, only two people knew the truth until a confession changed everything. I was a monster. Listen to Burden of Guilt Season 2 on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

36:55Why hasn't a woman formally participated in a Formula One race weekend in over a decade? Think about how many skills they have to develop at such a young age. What can we learn from all of the new F1 romance novels suddenly popping up every year? He still smelled of podium champagne and expensive friction. And how did a 2023 event called Wagageddon change the paddock forever? That day is just seared into my memory. I'm culture writer and F1 expert Lily Herman, and these are just a few of the questions I'm tackling on No Grip. a Formula One culture podcast that dives into the underexplored pockets of the sport.

37:35In each episode, a different guest and I will go deeper into the wacky mishaps, scandals and sagas, both on the track and far away from it, that have made F1 a delightful, decadent dumpster fire for more than 75 years. Listen to No Grip on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, I'm Jay Shetty, host of the On Purpose podcast. my latest episode is with Hilary Duff, singer, actress, and multi-platinum artist. Hilary opens up about complicated family dynamics, motherhood, and releasing her first record in over 10 years. We talk about what it's taken to grow up in the entertainment industry and stay grounded through every chapter.

38:15It's a raw and honest conversation about identity, evolution, and building a life that truly matters. You desire in family, like, this picture, and that's not reality. A lot of the time it's for people. My sister and I don't speak. It's definitely a very painful part of my life. And I hope it's not forever, but it's for right now. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In 2023, a story gripped the UK, evoking horror and disbelief. The nurse who should have been in charge of caring for tiny babies is now the most prolific child killer in modern British history.

39:01Everyone thought they knew how it ended. A verdict, a villain, a nurse named Lucy Letby.

39:08James Harrison:Lucy Letby has been found guilty. No voicing of any skepticism or doubt. It'll cause so much harm at every single level if the British establishment of this is wrong. Listen to Doubt, The Case of Lucy Letby, on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Probably a tackle.

39:48James Harrison:So we do that, I'm telling you. Shador just grows. Give him another year. Your coach actually believes in him. Todd Munkin actually believes in him. Shador, man, we wanted to get you when he was in the Ravens. We just need, just show me that you, do you know what I'm saying? Just a little bit of respect, a little bit of love. Ain't that when your boy Dylan Gabriel hit him with the perfect timing? Because he didn't take the timing of what was going on over there. I think they got some beef in the locker room. I hope they do. Zero beef. I'm going to make it up. Zero beef. No beef. it ain't what Dylan Gabriel fiance was saying earlier how everybody wanted him to play over Shador Shador listen that's what your teammates are saying pillow talking this is what I'll tell you this is what I'll tell you it's Deshaun Watson and Shador and Shador's team right now Deshaun has another year because my man got the 43 okay Why you ain't giving no respect to Dylan Gabriel, man?

40:51James Harrison:That's what I'm telling you. That's what I'm trying to tell you. If Dylan... Put his name and say his name. Dylan Gabriel. Dylan Gabriel. Say his name. And if it's just because... And if it's just because you're trying to bring up this noise, Dylan Gabriel don't got to be on the team. He could slide. Because... Oh, you're going to cut it? We're not worried about the... We're not letting this third string... Third string quarterback is not about to be the reason why we're tripping. Ain't that what they were saying about Shador? Third string quarterback ain't going to be the reason why we... I'm going to tell you this.

41:18getting all this media. And that was why your boy over there, Stavansky, was like, yo, I don't want this. I don't need this. This is the third-string quarterback. I'm just telling you what he said. That's what he was saying. Now you're talking about, you just go, huh?

41:30James Harrison:Because they didn't initially believe. You got to initially be a believer. When did he start believing? Who? When? He never believed. He still don't believe. and you that's why you can't be the coach of the team if you don't believe that your quarterback is actually do it i need to talk to uh monk and ask him how he feels about his quarterback room and is there going to be he didn't name the startup so i think it's going to be a legitimate battle between everyone is considered a one and gets reps with the ones even dylan gabriel because he was a starting quarterback for you guys. He's going to be last year, but he's going to be, if we're going to have two active quarterbacks, it's going to be Deshaun and Shador, and Dylan's going to be on the, he's going to be inactive.

42:29James Harrison:That's no disrespect. So you're saying, so you're saying, that's no disrespect. What Dylan Gabriel's fiance was saying about all the teammates wanting him to actually be the starter was a lie.

42:43Joe?

42:45James Harrison:No, it's not that. I don't know what... Listen, it's... I'm asking you what's going on. It's not like a lot of strike, man. I don't know. Joe, you tell me, because if that's the case and you're saying that's not it, somebody got to be lying. Yeah. This is what I'm telling you. There's 63 people. There's 63... There's 53 players on the team. And there's practice squad players, no matter what time it is. So it could be up to, what, 63? It could be 63. The majority of players wanted her fiancé to be the starter, and they were in support of that, according to her. I'm just going off what she said.

43:20So if you're saying—

43:21James Harrison:The people that—you know, when you talk to your friends on the team, you know how they be like, nah, bruh, that's supposed to be you. And then the other people— I don't have friends like that that predicate and then placate in my face or nothing like that, you know what I'm saying? Well, I'm going to tell you this. You know what I'm saying? I guess that's what y 'all do in Cleveland. I don't know. he must be talking to his homeboys that's lying

43:44okay so it ain't it ain't that nobody is lying as far as what was said out and open it's just that what was said behind closed doors to try and pump up his confidence and make him feel like yo you still got it was just them trying to make him feel good that's why listen honesty is nice Honesty is nice. Lying, that's hurtful and deceitful and wrong.

44:11James Harrison:They just trying to keep... If I suck, I suck. What they're going to do is, man, no. What they're saying is, man, no. Keep going out there. Keep balling. You know what I'm saying? Keep giving your best foot forward. Don't let that stop you. And that's really what you need to do. They didn't want to say that. They were saying they prefer him. According to his fiance, they prefer him over Chido. I don't believe that. Well, listen. You don't believe that? That was what was reported. What are you talking about? What are you talking about? That's what I'm saying. Listen. Listen. So she's lying. I don't know who she's talking to.

44:39Oh, you a stutter monster. When you don't want to answer.

44:43James Harrison:I'm not going to sit up here and call. Tell me what you're thinking. If everything that we heard is true and what we didn't hear wasn't true and everything is supposed to be what it's going to be, everything that was said can't be true. Somebody got to be lying. Who do you think is lying, Joe? I think Dylan might have false reported how many teammates wanted him to be the starting quarterback to his old lady. Okay. If you got Miles Garrett in the locker room and he's the real one, he wants Shador at the end of the day. Like the starters, I think Denzel Ward. I think if you would ask the people that are on the field, the starting 22 players who wants Shador to be the starting quarterback.

45:27James Harrison:I think it might be more of them are saying Shador than saying Dylan. So there might be a couple that say Dylan, but I don't think the majority for me personally would be that locker room saying, oh, I want Dylan Gabriel to be our starting quarterback instead of Shador Sanders. So I'm saying he might risk it in the turn. Dylan might have over-exaggerated. How many people are on your side? What was said? How many people? She's like, what's going on, babe? Why you ain't out there? He's like, no, I don't even know, man. They hating. They tripping on me, man. and everybody want me to be the starter.

45:58Yep. That's what I'm saying.

46:02James Harrison:You're going to go tell your lady how you feel. Like, nah, baby, I'm killing them in practice. And that joint picked off. And then in practice, we're like, oh, nah, that joint was picked off. And how does she know the difference? She's listening to what you want. You want to tell your lady how you feel at the crib. I'm balling. Now, that joint was picked off. Okay? And now she's like, nah, they probably had to work job saying, my man is hooping. Like, I don't know what y 'all talking about. That's what I'm saying. So I don't want to be like, come on, Debo. You got to pick up what I'm putting down without trying to be.

46:35I'm picking up what you're putting down, Joe, but listen. You can lie to everybody, but you can't lie to yourself, Joe. And if you're good at lying to yourself, that's the worst thing in the world. That's what I'm saying.

46:46James Harrison:I'm not trying to put that on, but like, yeah. If I would ask personally, I think they wanted Shador to start. So now that Dylan is saying that, that's him. He feeling like, I'm like, who are you talking to in the locker room? You put a name on the homeboys that you was hollering at that think you should be starting. You know what I'm saying? Drop a name. Drop a name. Tell me who it is. Tell me who you think you should be starting. Let's go for real. Who? You show me. And then they went and set my man up, get his house knocked in, trying to knock his confidence for the game. You know, that's just people being foul, D-Bo.

47:18James Harrison:That's just people being foul. No. That's just people just trying to interrupt. I'm just saying. Nope. Beyonce feeling this way he saying this and that I'm just saying inside job you know what I'm saying I'm just conspiracy theory I'm not saying it happened you know I'm a conspiracy theorist and I'd like to I think in other spaces like you know what I'm saying like your thought process stays to this world your thought process stays to earth me? I think I think universal, dude. You know what I'm saying? I'm thinking outside of the realm of the natural order of what you're used to. It's laws on earth that you can't get past gravity and all that other stuff.

48:05James Harrison:My mind got range. I'm in other galaxies. I hear you, coach. I hear you. But the Browns stay in Cleveland. That's why they can't get nowhere. I'm telling you, we're going to be just fine. We're going to be just fine. A lot of those games, very, very close. We could have won a lot of them. So just last-minute decision. Shador's still at the same time, too. He has a lot of growth that can happen. So I'm ready to see it. I'm ready to see it. I'm ready to get him some weapons. Line, run. How many more games of that 5-12 record do y 'all think y 'all could have put in a win category? Probably at least four.

48:54James Harrison:We had the Minnesota game. We had the Bills game. We had a lot of games that are just, but that's every team. That's every team. So you know what I'm saying? Like, we could easily win those games. We're not just getting blowed out. And we can play better. The offense can play better. Shador can get his footwork right than not spinning around in the pocket. I'm not saying that he's playing already great, But now, Todd Monken, new year, line, more weapons. You know what I'm saying? People were dropping passes. Where's the weapons? Where's the more weapons? The more weapons is, all right, Jerry Judy's coming back.

49:32James Harrison:Isaiah Bond is nice. Jerry Judy, stop, stop, stop, stop. What did he do that was weaponized last year? This is what I'm trying to tell you. The ones who really are tight end, rookie, young bull, Fofo, and Juckins are running back. I'll give you that. I'll give you Fofo. You definitely give me Fofo. We should have just won more. And you give me Juckins, our running back. I'll give you Fofo, but that's something else too. Because I heard a rumor through the grapevine about something that may have been said by, you know, one of the other players about Fofo and it was, you know, and maybe it was coach and maybe he said something and he said, I know I use tight ends, but I ain't about to use him or something like that.

50:20I don't know. I'm just thinking. No, no, no.

50:22James Harrison:You are just literally making it up. I know you did. You just made that up. You just made that up. Why would make you do that? Because you're trying to sabotage the Browns and want us to have drama that doesn't really exist. That's why you're throwing in the Dylan Gabriel stuff. That's why you're doing all of that. You're the media. You're the media. That's creative. I'm not going to let it rock. I'm not going to let it rock. None of that. No. Everybody's good. We're good over here. Junkins, you're good. Fofo, you already know what time it is. You good. Man, I almost went to the Pro Bowl. So then, like I said, Isaiah Bond.

51:00James Harrison:Deep threat. Deep threat. Isaiah Bond. You went to the Pro Bowl too. What did the Pro Bowl mean? All right. Don't worry. He hooped. So we got him. We got Isaiah Bond, deep threat. Judy going tighten up. And no, because Judy got the sauce. You know what I'm saying? Just got the sauce. And then we're going to get another. Now we're going to get. We know we need more. So we're going to get some more receivers. That's why I said the receiver has to be addressed. A thousand percent. But that's why now we just was doing the line. We lost Dee Bush. We did the linebacker. I don't know. You know what I'm saying?

51:33James Harrison:So don't trip. you just go talk when you just go keep talking when I'm trying to point out something, huh? Yeah. It's real disrespectful, Joe. You know? But, hey, I wouldn't expect no less from a player that played so long in Cleveland. How do you look? What do you think about the Browns, though, Debo? If you just being honest, I know you don't like them, but as a perspective, what's going on? What do you think is going on? I think Andrew Barry is doing enough to fill vacant spots. He is cooking chicken with boiling water, not grease. He ain't even baking it. It is no seasoning. You know when you boil it, you can't get no seasoning.

52:25James Harrison:I hear you. Okay, keep going though. Keep going. So, he's just cooking chicken and boiling water. No. Okay? No. It's edible. You can eat it. It's going to nourish you. I'm just saying. That's kind of what y 'all doing. It ain't going to kill you. You know what I'm saying? It's going to get it. It may not taste good, though. It may not taste good. It's going to get the job done. It's going to help you survive. You're just eating for purpose. It don't matter what it tastes like. Hey, that's it. For purpose. You're trying to put in calories. You're probably going to put in protein. Okay. And carbs.

52:58And you know what he's doing for carbs? He's just sprinkling sugar on that thing. That's it. He's just sprinkling sugar on that. Because I ain't seen nothing that was a straight just carb load move. Boom. I ain't seen nothing that was like, ah, put me out there in the game, coach.

53:12James Harrison:Right now, let's go. I think it's the right now, like you said, like, okay, I respect it. I respect it because I'm saying, I can say the same. Everything you're saying right there was legit. Okay? You can say the same about who or what. What you just said about how he's— Or you said you could say the same what I was saying, but that would be a mess up with him saying it. What you're saying about the Browns' Andrew Barry, how he's cooking with boiling water right now, is because I could see how we didn't get any splash, like no great receiver, you know what I'm saying, in which we needed. Splish, splash, we was taking a ban.

53:47We signed a DB running back and receiver.

53:50James Harrison:Okay, you know, and that's why I could see that. Okay? So I'm just looking at it. That's why I always was saying he's doing good enough. He's just trying to fill in the pieces right now, but we still have time. We still got a lot of draft picks. We still know exactly what we need. He knows what we need. So I'm just giving him time. I'm not going to overreact. So that's what I'm saying. Okay, we're just chipping it. You know what I'm saying? Making sure we set it. It's line and it's receivers. You're chipping in with the line right now. Okay, cool. Nothing crazy. No receivers yet. Okay. All right.
