In short
Debo and Joe (James “Debo” Harrison and Joe Hayden) react to early NFL Week 1 storylines and discuss injuries and quarterback play. They start with the 49ers’ 27-7 win over the Rams: Brock Purdy (25/34, 205 yards, 105.6 rating) controlling time of possession, San Francisco’s defense limiting Los Angeles to 174 rushing yards (nearly 6 yards/carry allowed), and Myles Garrett having no sack/tackle impact. They argue the Rams’ poor performance is partly explained by a long 16-hour flight to Australia, dehydration, and limited acclimation, citing a report that the Rams tracked sleep/body rhythms with 15 staffers over two years. They also discuss Seahawks vs Patriots (13-10): Drake Maye’s 3 interceptions in a loss, and whether it’s a sophomore slump vs bad decision-making. They note Sam Darnold’s hip injury and Drew Lock’s 16/22, 187-yard, no-INT, 1-TD relief. They then pivot to Tua Tagovailoa’s oblique injury during practice, speculating about injury timing and quarterback availability for the Steelers-Falcons matchup.

3:54James Harrison:Brother Debo, I'm doing great, my man. Another great day to be here, you know what I'm saying? Chop it up. I saw some real actual football. So, yeah, it's a good day. It's a good day. Might not have been the best in my predictions, but, yeah, it was a good day. Look here, man. The people have been asking this, man, for the hit, you know, for my son. Yes. So we went on here and we got a little something together, you know, so that they could see it. Actually, let me let me get that first clip, man. Here, here, here. It's a little grainy now. It's a little grainy. OK. All right. Got the highest attack.
4:30You understand? Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Now, you seen that fast speed. You know what I'm saying? So it look like. Full speed. Full speed. Fine. Fine. You don't know. You don't know. You didn't launch. Yeah, you know, helmet pop off. If the helmet pop off, you know they're looking for something. You know what I'm saying? But what you got to do, man, is you got to slow that thing down. Go ahead, slow that thing down. Man, get head across, shoulder down around his chest, and the helmet just, it just go and it hits, and it pops off.
5:02James Harrison:On the side. He's on the side. It pops off, Joe. That's Debo. That's what happens when, I saw a couple of hits like that during the week. when you hit someone in their chest that hard and their head just, it caves down. His head's not in the way. It's not helmet to helmet. If it would have been helmet to helmet, his head would have went straight back. When you get hit in the chest, your head has to go forward because you're not hitting you in the head. You're hitting you in the chest and that force is making you snap forward. Snap forward. So it looks brutal because it's just the whip of it, but it's not direct contact because if it was, you would see him go straight back.
5:37James Harrison:It wouldn't be able to go forward at all. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Look here, man. Come on. The kid that ended up getting hit, he actually commented in the post and he put a picture up. So if you go to the post that we were talking about, his name is actually Jack Kniff. OK, Jack Kniff. He is the quarterback at Hill School over there. He's the starting quarterback and baseball player. He a two sport commit to Maine University. okay oh yes okay good luck the rest of the season jack man may god continue to bless you um you know he commented all that he did everything so if you want to see it he actually put a picture of him up there too so when the helmet popped off it kind of skint him up a little bit so if y 'all ah if y 'all want to see it he got a little ah it's getting up a little bit but he said in the car he's like hey that's football you know what i'm saying shout out shout out shout out i think his name is uh is jack jack underscore kniff and it's k-e-n-n-e is that f-f f-f yes sir so shout out jack and the underscore is actually after the kniff so it's jack kniff underscore so y 'all want to y 'all want to shout him out see what he doing over there.
7:00Two sport commit to Maine University, man. Good luck, brother. Also, Joe, we got to let the people know, man, we going to be giving away two sets of two tickets to the Steelers' home opener after the show. You and I personally will be picking them. Okay, brother? So, make sure you like, subscribe to Debo and Joe. You follow Joe and you follow myself for a chance to win these tickets. And we will be picking you through probably Instagram or one of the other three or the one of the other two, one of the three. You will be notified by Saturday if you have one ticket to go to the Steelers home opener.
7:52So you better let us know if you want them, especially if you're in that chat. You better throw up what it is that you'll – everything that you want, you can get right here, baby. Okay? Yes, sir. Put it up in there. Not everything, but you can just – Not everything. You know what I'm saying? Joe, you can get some tickets. We're doing that. That's a hard thing to do, right? We're doing that. Season opener. Tickets. That's what we got for you. Season opener.
8:17James Harrison:They don't understand that, man. Come on. Season opener? It's time. It's football time, D-Bo. All this bull we've been talking about. Hey, matter of fact, speaking of his football time, the 49ers defeated the Rams 27 to 7. The greatest team in the history of the world or the universe of the Milky Way galaxy got dog walked last night. Be like a redhead stepchild. Your guy Stafford, what'd he do? A hundred and fifty five yards of pass rating of 62.1? Purdy? while Purdy over there, he said, hey, let me show you how it's done. That boy went 25 of 34 for a 205, 105.6 quarterback rating and won the time of possession on that defense.
9:10The Rams defense, the greatest team ever, gave up 174 yards rushing, almost six yards a carry. And your other boy, Myles Garrett, MVP, man, that man didn't even get a sack. He made me look bad, made you look bad, and everything else. Matter of fact, Puka had more tackles than him. And, Joe, what's going on?
9:36James Harrison:Some more happened. Some more happened. What about, you know, read on about everything. You know what I'm saying? The situation of travel. Hold on, let me look. Also was involved.
9:50James Harrison:It's going, read. Read. Come on. Oh, jump down, man. Hey, damn it. Put the tweet up from Peter Schrader. Read the tweet. Read the tweet. Read the tweet. The Rams are on. The Rams are all in for a night. It's 9.45 p.m. Melbourne. They slept on a flight overnight and will sleep in the hotel for one night. They'll wake up and play a game in 12 hours. Oh, my goodness. In 12 hours. This isn't some trial and error approach. They sent 15 staffers over the last two years and tracked their bodies and sleep rhythms. This was deemed the approach. No turning back now. 15 staffers. Bruh.
10:47James Harrison:Devo, this is what we're not going to do. We're not going to overreact and act like the world is falling. Like we, the Rams, they flew in the day before, 24 hours. You 16 hours on the flight. Your body's swollen. Your legs are swollen. I was thinking, you know, when you do this sometimes, if you were flying like play, if we were flying from Cleveland to play California, that's a five-hour flight. You could do that maybe the day before, keep the same time schedule. When you're 16-hour flight, nine-hour time difference, you're playing 1030 in the morning, that's different than what they did. So at the same time, no matter what, San Fran, they went out there, they were acclimated.
11:31James Harrison:At the first half, they were still not playing as well. So it was what it was. This is what happened to me. Matthew Stafford did not play well. Matthew Stafford did not play well at all. Miles Garrett did not play well at all. You know what I'm saying? So I can't sit and say, on paper, when you have your offensive MVP, he's never scored less than 10 points at 82 starts in his career. So that was not the Matthew Staff that I'm used to seeing. Miles Garrett, he didn't have, not only did he not have a sack, he didn't have a tackle. And then Debo, this goes to show me too now, when we're looking back at him missing all that training camp, the knee being a little swole.
12:11James Harrison:Like, what is it really? Like, it might be a little, like a lingering injury, because after the game, you heard what he said. He was like, yeah, I got to get back to myself. That was the worst version of myself. I'm hoping he's just saying that because he had no effect. He was looking like he was kind of tired. It was body like he wasn't, he hasn't been in it. He didn't play no training camp. He didn't do no preseason. And then he's just getting out there trying to play. So he got to get himself back right. Got to get himself back together. Flight didn't help. The injury that he's saying, like, I got to get myself back together didn't help.
12:40James Harrison:So Rams did not look good. Hold on. It's 15 staff. That's one game. It was the first game of the season. The defense, getting – the defense, but that's the other thing, too. The defense, they got to do better. Coverage, running, they was running all through them. Joe, I ain't going to lie to you, bro. Yes. I'm looking at this thing right now, and they're talking about it's 15 staffers over two years that y 'all track their bodies and sleep, and this is what y 'all can't – Listen, y 'all need to be shot with a shit gun, okay, for this. This is plumb dumb, okay? Rams, like, how much money did y 'all waste over two years doing this study?
13:25Like, who did they? Hold up. Hold up. Hold up. They actually sent over actual players now. Okay. All right. So it's Kevin Dotson, whoever that is, Kyron Williams, Xavier Smith. Oh, yeah, Kevin Dotson. He played for the Steelers. He was the line. Okay. and Tyler Davis. I don't know who they are because I'm not familiar with their names. And I guess they worked out and did sprints, some weightlifting, looked like they actually did some football drills. Joe, I'm going to keep 100 with you right now. I can sleep or not sleep for about four or five days straight and only sleep two or three hours a night and get up and kill the gym.
14:13I mean, kill the gym. Uh-huh. Well, maybe when I was back playing. Now it was probably like two or three days. Probably like two or three days. Nah, I'm lucky if I get two, to be honest with you. And I'm out that thing feeling like King Kong. You know what I'm saying? I'm feeling good. But you're talking about a game. You didn't put them through a game. You put them through a workout. That don't even make sense. So you was 16 hours on a flight. Grown man, 16 hours on a flight. Then went to the hotel and slept. Don't nobody even sleep good on the plane. I know I don't sleep good on the plane.
14:44James Harrison:It did. No, for sure. Even if they trying to give you them lay flats, that's just still small. Unless, dude, unless you went and had beds for every person, which ain't no plane that got a bed for every person. Like, that's not happening. That's not happening. A lay down ain't it. A bed is it. Okay? I don't. It's no way. I take it back. I don't know too many guys that would have been cool with this, but you would have went and did it because you had no choice. But you had no choice. I'm in my head already, Joe. Like, this can kick rocks. You too. Yeah. Dude. When I first was thinking about it, Debo, have you ever traveled like the day before if you were just going from East Coast to West Coast?
15:30James Harrison:Where you didn't want to go to try to adapt. It's Cali time. It's three hours different. That's fine. But like I didn't was I was trying to think about the same. That's 16 hour flight. The amount of not being on that five hour flight of just swelling when you're on a flight, your feet. And even if you got them compression joints on everything, like you're swollen when you get off a flight. Like when you try to put your shoes back on, it's tough to put them on on a five hour flight. Three times that. So just the just your body like getting back acclimated. And so I could see now, looking back at it, how completely you should get, if you're going to Australia, you should go there and try to, in 16 hours, you should adapt.
16:11James Harrison:There's time that you're being able to get out there, there's time that you could be able to adapt. I think that's the smarter point. Second point is, though, too, it was just. Mom, are we there yet? Ten more minutes. Only ten minutes? Can you drive slower? What's up with them today? Lingo Kids. That app we downloaded last week? They love it. 19:10James Harrison:Bad ball, I don't even... This right here, bad ball, what you expect? you got them on a 16-hour flight. You forgot to add in dehydration. People that ain't going to sleep well on a plane can't sleep well on a plane. You're talking about grown men that play in the NFL at the highest level of football. The best athletes in the world are doing it. And you think just because you had a couple players go over there and work out that this is going to pan out. Hell no. Joe, the dehydration on a plane is the biggest issue. Like, your performance just from a 1 % dehydration is drastically different. Your ability to perform, perform mentally and physically.
19:56Like, your processing is slower. Everything is slower. Stop playing, man.
20:01James Harrison:What is y 'all doing? No, for sure. And that's why I'm not going to give this as much like, okay, obviously it's one game. Obviously, we were crowning them at the beginning because of who they had. Because Matthew Stafford, because of Pukum and Nikua, because of Devontae Adams. They averaged 30 points a game. You know what I'm saying? So you're expecting when you see these players and then the defense comes in. Myles Garrett, no show, basically. 27 snaps, one pressure, no tackles, no sacks. You know what I'm saying? Aaron Donald, he didn't even play. That's why he didn't play. He heard they was going over there.
20:39James Harrison:He was, man, we going out there the same day. I'm not about to go out there and look crazy. Oh, no. Y 'all doing what? No. You ain't about to have me coming out there and look like I ain't had nothing left in the tank. I came back on. No. They gave up the 99-yard drive. Brock Purdy went from the one and marched that thing all the way down the field. And then the offense, they went two for nine for third down. Joe, Joe, this is. It was bad ball. I thought I had something, too. I thought we had. No. Yeah. Yeah, it's going to work. They definitely have to play better, but this is more, too, 49ers.
21:16James Harrison:Nobody never said the 49ers weren't going to be good. It's always been health with the 49ers. Can they stay healthy? Are they going to be able to make it? Are the players, is Christian McCaffrey going to be good? Is Trent Williams going to be able to stay healthy? Is Joey Bosa going to be able to stay healthy? Fred Warner came back looking like that's how a linebacker is supposed to look. A three down. He's attacking. He's punching the ball, creating turnovers, running full speed everywhere, controlling the defense. So with the 49ers, they got talent all over the board. The new defensive coordinator, they was out there, Raheem, balling, calling the plays right.
21:52James Harrison:So the thing with the 49ers is skill, talent, never been the problem. It's always been about health. George Kittle, coming back nine months from the injury, he's back out there looking smooth. So it's just about if these dudes are going to be able to stay healthy, that's their problem. But the game, they look good. Defense balled out. Bro, I understand they look good. I understand that. But me getting this information knowledge. You're just saying they went against a half team. They didn't go against a real team. Come on, bro. That's what you're saying. We ain't in high school no more. You can't hop off a bus, you know, three hours and go to work.
22:31What are you talking about, man? You up there talking about, hey man, let me get these F1 performance cars, this 87 octane. And then let's drive them over there, basically. And then put them on a track. That's what you're doing when you got these boys just sitting here for 16 hours, going to the hotel and then waking up and playing 12 hours later. Yeah. Matter of fact, don't even tune it up. Don't even give it no maintenance. Don't even take care of it. That's what y 'all did.
23:02James Harrison:So, what you telling me is you giving the Rams a full good pass. I got to. I can't. That's not even game one. That ain't even game one, bro. They're game one for real. We going to tell from moving forward, from this point forward. Because everybody gets, you know what I'm saying? You can't overreact. Oh, no, no, no. Okay, that was a bad game. Matthew Stafford played bad. He was still asleep. That's what my man Deebo saying. He do. You know? I'm with you. I'm with you. He was walking. Sleepwalking. Sleepwalking. He was 16-hour flight. He was sleeping. I don't even know what... Legs swollen. Man, y 'all listen.
Read the full transcript
23:34James Harrison:Knees swollen, ankles swollen. Do not jump on the Rams' neck just yet. Just yet. Not yet. Not yet. I was on their neck. I was on their neck. Listen. Uh-huh. Listen. Choke them out. I was going to let them know all that talk that went on at the beginning of the year before the season started about how they was already crowned champions. Uh-uh. My friend said, uh-uh. We one of the 31 other teams. But... I guess I can't say that right now. No, not yet. Not yet. But, yes. Because the 16 hours, they was in the flight. They was in the air. Let them give it a little bye. But the 49ers, I ain't going to lie.
24:12James Harrison:They look good. They played a really good game. Defense, everything. They just got to stay healthy. 49ers. Now, listen. Hey, Rams, don't y 'all never do that again in life, in the history of the world. it's a big difference between going and working out and going and playing a game it's a big difference i can go out there and work out joe how many times you done came in at that you know oh man it ain't even no need to sleep let me go to practice and kill practice oh for sure because it's not doing it in a game no no no no no no the game is the show Everything is for the show. I just handicapped these boys in the show.
24:56I took away my mechanics on my F1 car. I said, hey, they don't even need it. Hey, matter of fact, don't even tune that engine up. We got it. You believe in your own hype. We that good? Hell no, you're not. Look here. Matter of fact, on Wednesday, Seattle, they went out there and they defeated the Patriots 13-10. Now, Drake May shined like a diamond for the Seattle Seahawks, man. That boy went 23 or 33 for 178 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions while wearing a Patriots jersey. No, let me stop.
25:38James Harrison:No, Debo, let him know. Let him know. Let me, let me, let me. If you play good, if you play good, people will crown you. If you play bad, it is what it is. So, hey, Joe, what do you think of his performance in this game, especially after what we've seen the last two years, man? Like, is this just a bad game, or is this one of those things where he may be having his sophomore slump his junior year? It could be that, because at the end of the day, this is where it comes to where people talk about its longevity. It's what have you done for me lately? And when you're at the quarterback position, rookie season looks beautiful.
26:18James Harrison:Same way with C.J. Strout. Then your next year, it's like, okay, all right, bet. It's looking good. And then he does two great seasons, and then he gets to the playoffs last year, the last five games. All these turnovers, not getting the ball to the right players, and then you start your next season. And then this first game, you don't want to say too bad, but in the fourth quarter, you throw three picks. We could have actually won the game. Now, you're not helping us. You're hurting us. So when it gets to the point where you start looking at quarterbacks where, Drake May, it's not, we know what you've done.
26:48James Harrison:We know that you can throw the ball. We know that you're a great quarterback. You were doing good your rookie season. You led them to the playoffs last year, 30 touchdowns, 10 picks. And then you come to the playoffs, and then we remember that. Trying to get half of what you need. We remember you throwing the picks. We remember the last thing that we saw you doing was not looking as good as you were doing these. We remember the good times, but the bad times in the playoffs, it's not looking that well. And then you start off the next season and it's like, okay, you're playing against the Super Bowl champs.
27:16James Harrison:We're in the building. This is the squad. We can see what happens. They lose their starting quarterback. So now you're playing versus the backup quarterback. You've not been playing well. Now you get to the fourth quarter. It's tie game. You can get a field goal. You're in field goal range. You throw a pick. Throw it out of bounds, bro. Throw it out of bounds. Live the fight another day. Don't try to do too much. You've already thrown two picks. And now you throw three picks with 25 seconds left. We have a timeout for us to be able to go to overtime. You be doing that us stuff, man. It's just who you with.
27:47James Harrison:When I say us, I'm just saying for people that are rooting. Okay. When I'm talking about a team, I like to just say, I'm just trying to put in the perspective of what we're talking about. You know what I'm saying? Like, not us. Like, I don't care. Right. But when you're looking at people going on Drake May and, like, I respect him being the – when you say he's a franchise quarterback, yes, I think that he's shown franchise things and he's been able to do that. But then when you start watching the games and you're being able to grade each game individually, it's not like we're taking away everything he's done before, but it's what have you done for me lately?
28:18James Harrison:When we've been in the position of playoffs with a good defense, you wet the bed. Now we're going in here. We're playing against a backup. Our defense is balling. They've been putting us in position the whole game. You've thrown two picks. And now we get down to we can get another field goal and you throw another turnover. It's just like one touchdown, three picks. That doesn't look good. And there's no reasons for it when you're looking at the tape. It's just bad. You're throwing it into bad situations. There's check downs there. It's not like you're running for your life. If you were running for your life, getting hit upside the head, you have a different conversation.
28:48James Harrison:But you're standing in the pocket making bad decisions, like throwing it to a squatted corner in cover two. Like, no, don't throw that. That's a bad play. That's just you not, you know what I'm saying, executing the quarterback position. So when I'm looking at it like that, I'm like, okay, the Patriots, Drake May, right now it is, we know what you've done, but you have to show better play on the field. Right now, we're grading you from what you're doing on the tape. So that game was not good. You could have played way better. The Patriots lost that game because you did not deliver. You wet the bed.
29:23James Harrison:So when we watch the next game, we want to see what's going on. If your defense is playing this well, Gonzalez and them boys. Gonzalez balled. He's worth the bag. When he was guarding JSN, he had no catches. He was running over in motion, communicating. He was able to do his thing. I'm like, yes, that's beautiful. But when you have Drake May out there, dude, everybody's doing their job. Now it's your turn to deliver the goods. And you fumble. So we go to the next game. We'll watch it again. We'll see how the offense does, the running game, if he's making bad decisions with the ball. They held the team to 13.
29:56James Harrison:You know what I'm saying? So like score 17. You win the game. And then we go talk about this stuff in a whole different way. Not in a way like, dude, you got to still play better, but it's better talking about this when we win 17-13 than we lose 10-13. It's like this. You just jacked it all up for real. You really blew the bag. You could have blown the bag with two picks, and then we ended up winning the game, and now we can still talk about it because it's not that good, but we still won. But now you're causing us to lose games. Yeah, and you ain't got everybody jumping on your neck afterwards like we doing right now.
30:27You understand? Yeah.
30:30James Harrison:Come on. Seattle, man. And that's what franchise is called about. Seattle, they had a little scare with Sam Darnold. He went down. And Joe, I ain't going to even lie to you, man. I thought when I saw it and they did that replay, I thought his kneecap was gone. But then later, they said it was his hip. So now I guess Darnold is expected to miss, they said, two weeks with, I guess they got a report. Yes. So the report that came in said it's not as bad as they thought it was. I guess Mike McDonald saying that they don't know how long it's going to be, but quote, really, really good news. Joe, you got hip problems.
31:18You know what I'm saying? You the hip dude.
31:20James Harrison:What you think happened to his hip, Joe? But Debo, I don't know. I couldn't tell you. I'm definitely not a doctor. I'm just hurting in the hips. All I got to tell you is I know what it feels like for your hip to hurt. You know what I'm saying? But I hope he's able to return. But it's just, with me, it's the Seahawks, their team. If he's able to return, they're going to be able to return. Hold on, man. Drew Locke stepped in now. He handled it. He did himself. Now, he went 16-22. He 187 yards, no interception, and a touchdown. Okay? You think that with Darnold out, You think they're going to be able to sustain and he'll be able to hold it and play well enough to keep them in the fight until he returns?
32:08James Harrison:This is what happens. I was worried about the running game. And they ended up drafting my man from Notre Dame, not Love, his backup. And he got him in the 32nd pick in the draft. He's a baller. So their running game didn't really lose any push. The offensive line is still blocking. Their running game is still looking dialed. JSN is still doing his thing. They got, they re-signed their receiver, 22. So for me, I think the Seahawks just have a full team. They're not asking Drew Locke to do too much. He didn't do too much. He just basically methodically got the ball where it needed to be. That pass to JSN was a five-yard pass that he took 45 yards for the touchdown.
32:54James Harrison:So it's like when you have a great defense, when you have a good team that's putting you in positions, it's the don't lose it. So Drew Locke, when he has great coaches, they're putting him in positions where it's like, boom, hand it off, hand it off. They were never behind the sticks. They were never asking Drew Locke to go convert a third down to 15. If they were, check it down. We'll punt the ball and our defense will put us in a position to get you the ball back, hopefully with better field position. It's like you got to realize what you got. And with Sam Darnold, he was making those good passes.
33:23James Harrison:He wasn't just out there slinging it all around. It was whenever it was time to make a good pass on that bang to JSN. He was delivering the goods. Nice little passes, 10 digs, a couple posts. It's not like he's just out there shotgun, willing and dealing, just making people like just freestyling. It's like your coach is calling the plays. You're executing. It's a team game. You got to do your part. Take them what they give you, Deebo. You know what I'm saying? That's why I'm looking at Drake May. You were down. Your team still got you to deliver the goods. You were still through two picks, but at the end of the day, you were down 10 to 13 on the 25-yard line with 25 seconds and a timeout.
34:03James Harrison:You can kick a field goal, and you can go to overtime. And then we're, you know what I'm saying, the team, we're figuring it out. Let's make something happen. Don't lose it. So it's like with Drew Locke, as long as his coaches still continue to run the ball well, the defense continues to play at a high level. They didn't have all of their DBs. their best safety. My rook, number three, he wasn't even out there last game. So them dudes out there just making plays, communicating, there's no bust. Defense, they're out there balling. So as long as the team continues to play well, you're not asking your quarterback to do too much.
34:33James Harrison:So I think the earlier Sam Darnold gets back, the better because he's in his vibe. He's in his bag. He won the Super Bowl. I saw him beat the Rams making those passes. Drew Luck, if the coach can protect him, I think he might be able to make it happen. Warning, the following song has been rated dangerously catchy and may not be suitable for grown-ups. 37:39James Harrison:Play within the offense, manage the game, and don't turn the ball over. If he can do that, I think he'll be fine. Those numbers aren't great, but the big thing he did was he did not turn the ball over. He had a good percentage of the throws that he made that they caught the ball. I think they'll be fine. A.J. Brown, he also went down. but I guess it's now confirmed to have a high ankle sprain and he's expected to miss four weeks bro Joe how much do you think this is going to handicap the Patriots I think it's going to handicap the Patriots a lot because with with Drake May I mean end of the day we got Collins and who is really who's the other receiver we got uh I can't think his name right now dude Hollins.
38:29James Harrison:It's Hollins. Hollins. Hollins. Romeo Dobbs. Romeo Dobbs. So that's, Romeo Dobbs, we're speaking about how he wasn't playing well. Hey, I might have cut me a catch out there, Joe. Help me help you. So you got to be able to catch the ball. Help me help you. So when he dropped the ball right there, when Drake made fun, he had a good one. The over route right to him. He turned his head before. I understand like everybody's not perfect, but God, right now your quarterback is struggling. We need one. So we can't just be having your quarterback. Your receivers got to help your quarterback out. So then I think with Hollins and with Dobbs, if A.J.
39:10James Harrison:Brown not out there, I thought the addition of him would be able to help Drake May. No matter what, end of the day, if there's man to man, you know you got you one over here that can go get something done. So not having him with the way that Drake May is looking, he needs to get back into that mental game where, boy, you better check down if it's not available. don't turn the ball over. Don't try to go out here and be creating nothing. If it's not there, don't go doing the most like still because you franchise quarterback, you hear that, but franchise quarterbacks don't turn the ball over. It doesn't take, you just got to manage the game.
39:40James Harrison:Just do, don't hurt your team. You know what I'm saying? And when you start hurting your squad, that's when it's like, you're trying to do too much. You got to do your part. If the line are not blocking, if they, but when, when things are open, hit it. You know what I'm saying? Like, don't put too much pressure on yourself, but you got to start making the right plays. and don't hurt your team. Yeah, I think it's going to handicap. I don't think it's going to hurt them as much as you think it'll hurt them. I think it's just going to come down to, even with them gone, they could have won that. Drake may just lost it for them.
40:12Like, that's just really what it came down to. But let's get over here and let's see. The Steelers, the Pittsburgh Steelers are playing the Atlanta Falcons at home, like I said, Joe. Yes, sir. And Joseph, I don't even know what. I don't want to know nothing else, but who you think going to win, Joe? That's it. Stillers. Duh. Man, Stillers going to win. Hey, that's a good thing. Hey, look, don't y 'all forget it. Y 'all want to get to this game. For y 'all latecomers, baby, make sure you like, subscribe, and follow. Follow us. We got tickets. Debo and Joe, myself, and Joe. And as soon as you do that, we and Joe, me and Joe, Joe and I will be personally picking the winners of two sets or two tickets.
41:09It's going to be four people going to the game. Joe will pick two. I'm going to pick two. We're going to notify you either on Debo and Joe, Joe, or myself. Okay? Yes. Now. Now, they are playing the Atlanta Falcons. And your guy, your guy Tua Tonga-Vailoa, I got his name right. I'm hitting this thing. Tua Tonga-Vailoa. Tua Tonga-Vailoa went down with an apparent oblique injury during practice and was out for the remainder of the day. Joe, look at this video. Got to be more careful. Yeah.
41:53James Harrison:Yep. Uh-huh. I'm going to take you down like that. And he's trying to... Yep. I'll leave you. Oh, yep. Joe. What is that, Joe? He had an oblique. That's that oblique? How you pulled up? That's that oblique. I had an oblique. How'd you do it? Throwing the football? No. Not throwing the heat. How'd you do it? I got hit. Oh, you got hit. I ain't seen nobody hitting, bro. I don't like what happened right there. Listen, listen, two had some back issues earlier in training camp. Okay. And he played, what was it? Two of the three games during preseason for Atlanta. So he got two of the three. Penix is still not ready.
42:37He working his way back from ACL tear. So the starting quarterback against the Steelers looks like it's going to be Cooper rush or it could be two. If he can play. Okay. Joe, what's going on with Tua? Because you know I got my theories.
42:55James Harrison:No, I need to hear you. I want to hear your theory before I say what I have to say. Listen. Go ahead. You already know. Let me hear you. And I have my theories. So, and I know what happened. Allegedly. I'm going to say allegedly because I don't really know. But I'm thinking if I was in the same position and I was him, not me, of course, if I was him. They was watching game tape. OK. And you get to that Thursday, Friday game tape and they start pressure. You know, you're showing pressures, res, all that. You know, you're showing all that. You know, you're showing all the good stuff. Hold on. I know where you're going.
43:40OK, OK. Go ahead. What happened was the Steelers, you know, when he played in Miami over there last year, that tape came up. And that man started having flashbacks. And that man said, hey, let me get up out of here. I'm pulling my back oblique everything, my ass everything. I'm pulling whatever I need to do before I get up. Not to go in there and be the starting quarterback. Before I get in here and they done named me the starting quarterback, I'm healthy. You understand? Like Atlanta, hey, they go put me out here. They go let them Pittsburgh Steelers put their hands on me again, Joe. I am a boy, Damon.
44:30Debo, you got it, Joe.
44:32James Harrison:See, Debo, that's actually hilarious. Because that's not what happened. What you think happened, Joe? Tua is going, it's just bad luck. It's bad luck, Debo. I don't think Tua wants to be hurt. I don't think that he likes that. I think that when he did that injury right there, that's like - When he did that injury, okay, go ahead. When he did that injury, keep talking. I think when he threw the ball, he might have really just, ah, like his oblique just was, ah, and then it might have really messed up. He might have torn it. I don't know. I'm not in his body. I'm not in his body. I just don't know with Tua now, with this happening, Debo, I'm telling you for real.
45:17James Harrison:If he is, you're talking about injury prone. Now what you're talking about, I was hoping that he could get out there. Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe. Injury prone is the thing that's like you do by yourself. He was getting popped with concussions left and right. Somebody else was helping him do that. He did all this by himself. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. For sure, for sure. So, no, injury prone is too when you're running around. Sometimes he's running around on his feet a little silly. Maybe he's trying to learn how to slide. That's a little self-inflicted. Maybe that was just from the concussions he forgot.
45:48So, stop it.
45:50James Harrison:That's C.D. Ball. Don't do that. Don't you tell my band. Real talk, though. It's for the Steelers, for us, for the Steelers, now who, long story, I'm looking for the best interest of us. I hope two is going to be successful because when I say us I don't want him to suffer this week. I want him to come back though. But look Cooper I won't Cooper Rush Cooper Rush Cooper Rush or I ain't worried about it dude. I just feel like Cooper Rush might have a better chance of having a little bit more success because of you know his well not with the Ravens that was a boob. Can I tell you something? Let me tell you something.
46:38James Harrison:We on let me tell you something if we worried about I ain't worried about it Tua Penix or what we need to do is tackle Bijan Robinson if we do that I'm not worried about that you got Kevin Stavansky over there he ain't gonna run the ball he know that's what's gonna help him Kevin Stavansky gonna realize he only he got Cooper Rush but he don't wanna be he don't wanna be and then Tua Tua hit his oblique and then my man Penix got the ACL You know what I'm saying? He don't want to beat you. All I'm telling you is this. We're going in there playing these Atlanta Falcons and going to spank them out the way because we have to stop.
47:13James Harrison:The main reason we'll win is because we stopped B. John Robinson. They got a tight end over there too now. They got Pitts. They do got Kyle Pitts. Now, if we put Tua in there, we eliminate him. If we put anybody in there, I'm trying to – D-Bo, I hear you. I hear you. But they got... I'm talking about the Atlantic Alcantins passing the ball. That's the last thing. They have Bijan Robinson. If he... We just need to make sure he... Bijan catches. Is Neftu going to play? Is Neftu going to play? Listen here. Neftu ain't got no contract. We got a couple of days to figure that out. I'm hoping... We got a couple of days.
47:59James Harrison:We got it. We got it. Less than 48 hours, Joe. We got... Yep. We're going to have some good news in 48 hours. We got less than 48 hours. Nephew ain't got no contract, brother. Listen here. I'm going to tell you this. I'm going to tell you what God loves. And that's the truth. Yeah, that is. If he go out there with no contract, that is the goofiest move in the world. And I ain't never known him to be a goofy person.
48:31Look here, speaking of Aaron Rodgers, he called the Packers head coach. Matt LaFueur, a clown, after saying Jordan Love was a better pre-snap quarterback than him. It wasn't as bad as it sounds, so listen to it. He's probably still mad I changed too many of his plays.
48:59big statement when you had a guy win back-to-back MVPs I guess I wasn't doing too much at the LOS Matt's a clown man he says some things from time to time that are funny that he's like maybe I shouldn't have said that he's backing up his quarterback I'm sure J-Lo is a real good line of scrimmage but come on man hey Joe Yo, I ain't going to lie to you, man. Yo. I kind of love this level of petty, you know what I'm saying? I think it could have been much, like, it could have been way worse. Like, you know, like, he could have went harder. Especially, that was like me back in the day. You know, when I was playing before how I am now, you know what I'm saying?
49:40I probably would have went way further than that. So, you could tell by Aaron's response, his voice. Like, it's a level of understanding that he has with LeFleur that he's going to say something that's not thought out of. You know what I'm saying? And because that is definitely one of the craziest statements that I've heard somebody say about Aaron Rodgers. What do you think?
50:03James Harrison:I think it's the same thing, Debo. Sometimes people forget that when, like Aaron Rodgers, he's been in the league for such a long time. He's had MVPs. Him and the coach have a different relationship. So, like, when he's saying that he's mad, I'm changing his plays, and then his coach is speaking on his quarterback. He's like, yeah, he has every right now to, like, speak for his quarterback. So there's a level of now where you're able to get these answers from people. Aaron Rodgers could have easily said, you know what I'm saying, nothing or just been chill. But now he's going to let you know kind of like he has a relationship with this dude.
50:35James Harrison:He would say that to back up his quarterback. But like I'm an MVP. This is how I really feel. Aaron can say how he feels about it and thinks it's like a petty relationship that when coach make those comments, he's like this. What do you guys really think? Like obviously he's going back his quarterback. He's good at the line. But I mean, I don't think nobody asked. I'm changing his plays. And precisely, does Jordan Love have a better pre-snap organization in recognition than Aaron Rodgers? I think he might have just put that out there by himself. You know, just trying to, like you said, trying to boost up his quarterback.
51:11James Harrison:Yeah, and Aaron Rodgers had every right to feel a certain type of way because if somebody says something that's putting their quarterback, which he should do as a coach, he's like, oh, yeah, this is my franchise guy. I'm pumping him up. and Aaron Rodgers being on a different team, hearing somebody talk about you, he's like this, and you feel like you're better than that person and that statement is false, then you feel like you can speak on it. So it's like, when you're looking at it, it's like, that's kind of what happens when you hear coaches say this, pumping up somebody else, Aaron Rodgers has every right to defend himself and the coach want to pump up his quarterback.
51:43Yeah, I ain't tripping on it, man. Look here, man. Let's go over here to your Cleveland Browns. Your Cleveland Browns play the Jacksonville Jaguars at 1 o 'clock, same time we do, on Sunday, on Sunday in Jacksonville, okay? Same time. Now, you know what? Just a simple question, Joe. Who do you think will win? Who you got winning, Joe? Who I got winning?
52:10James Harrison:You can't hear it. My mic knocked. The Browns.
52:21James Harrison:Can you hear me? Oh, now you're muted, Debo. Debo, now you're muted. Hey, Joe. Hey, Joe. That's a good thing that you couldn't hear me because I said something real disrespectful, Joe. I said something real disrespectful. No, I didn't, Joe. What I said is that's a good thing that you, you know, you feel like y 'all gonna win, but I don't feel that same way. I don't think y 'all gonna win. Mom, are we there yet? Ten more minutes.
