In short

The episode is mostly a sports-and-rules discussion plus personal banter. Topic 1: Joe and Deebo talk about Joe’s recent “35 and up” basketball league game where he injured his groin/hip, got “belted,” and now plans rehab (dry needling, stretching, cardio, eating better) before next Sunday’s game. They also debate how hard it is to return to competitive play after years off and how the league’s older players are “elite” (played college/overseas). Topic 2: Seahawks Super Bowl rings—Deebo and Joe marvel at the reported “largest ever” Seahawks ring with a pop-open feature showing a stadium, diamonds, and inscriptions/records (including “17 wins” and “17–3” route to the title). Topic 3: College football chaos—Dabo Sweeney’s take is discussed: rules are worse when unenforceable. Key claim: Big 12 sues Texas Tech and the Texas attorney general over Brandon Sorsby’s eligibility (gambling-related), and they argue courts shouldn’t block enforcement because it would set precedent allowing players to gamble.

3:29CarMax. Listen, you just said, I ain't want to be in the 20U or the 25 or the 30. I thought the 35U was going to be the place. Yes, but they all moved up because they was playing in all the four ones before that. I need to tell, no, I need to make sure. I really think, honestly, all the dudes seem 35, maybe. But the dude that was, the 6 '6 dude, he was not 35. He was probably 32. He was young whippersnapper. Well, check his birth certificate, Joe. I ain't want to be, I ain't want to do that. I'm like, I'm like, ah, come on, bro. Hey, Joe, ain't nothing wrong. Hey, listen, man, ain't nothing wrong.

4:05Hey, listen, next time be like, hey. He was cool, though. He was cool, though. Bring your ID. Bring your ID. Everybody, I need your driver's license for sure. And your driver's license. I need two forms. I need two forms. You need driver's license and I need your birth certificate. I need two forms because you know how they be. Two forms ID. AI is so crazy. Matter of fact, bring your passport and your driver's license. Yeah, all that. If you ain't got no passport, you can't play in this league. I'm telling you, bro. I got to get it because this league right now, since I'm playing, I got to make sure it's nice and regulated.

4:36because the 35 and up needs to be 35 and up. That was crazy. We just got belted. I want to make sure it wasn't by, I want to make sure they was 35 and up. You correct. I appreciate that. I appreciate that. That's why I signed up for 35 and up. I don't know what made you think you was going to go into a basketball league after not doing nothing for four years and you was going to do anything positive besides pull a muscle. Because I got courts at the crib and I do hoop. I hoop. But I don't hoop. Like, yeah, it's not the way that, yep. Just the way we always work out all the time and then you don't, it's just, you lose it.

5:15If you don't use it, you lose it. So I really thought, like, yeah, I felt like that joint made me really feel like an old head. Yep. Bounce was down. Explosiveness. All I had was my tray ball. Yo, your bounce is gone. Bro, it's not gone. I can still. Yo, you pulled your, you was just running up and down. You try to do a little uh-uh and you pull your groin. You should. I can't. I'm so happy there was no fans in the stands. And the crazy part, they only had five. I'm going to do some footage, man. Somebody got some footage. They only had five. No, they only had five. They ran y 'all with five. It was their five versus our five.

5:55There was the lady that was at the scores table that was keeping the score and the fouls and everything and two referees. it was 13 people in that gym. So there was nobody that could get no footage unless the lady was watching and she just started laughing and recording. That's why I was getting hit. But I hope she wasn't doing that. She seems like a sweet lady. Yeah, everybody seems sweet today. I know for sure. Those five brothers, I think I ain't seen them do it because I was sitting on our bench after we got whooped. And I think they took a picture of the scoreboard. So I think they know. Somebody took a picture of the scoreboard.

6:29Y 'all out there getting slapped, getting mercy rude. Listen, listen. Hey, just quit. No, there ain't no quitting me, coach. I'm going to heal up this groin. It's going to be quitting you when you tear that motherfucker off the bone. I'm going to go to the shooting machine, the jugs, and I'm going to get right. Trust me. What the fuck the jugs going to do for you, jugs? That's what we needed. This ain't football. The jugs keep shooting it out to me. Keep shooting the ball out. Not the football jug, the basketball jug. You don't know nothing about that. The shooting machine. Yeah, basketball jug.

6:59All right. When you go on here and mess that motherfucker up so bad that you sitting over there with your leg propped up with ice on it and shit, I don't want to hear nothing. Ain't no days off around here, baby. No, no, no. Bro, I'm going to be, look, I'm going to be right here. Elevate that leg right there next to that microphone. Yeah. If I got to, I'll prop this leg right up. Shit. Come on. Good Lord, man. Hey, at least you should have just went to the 30-35 you footballed in, Joe. Hell no. Like, hell no. They can't catch you at least on that. The thing is, in basketball, the basketball thing, they're not fouling.

7:40It's just, it's a solid league. There's referees out there. So, in football, I'm not trying to tackle nobody. I'm not trying to run into nobody. I like the running up and down of the basketball court. You know what I'm saying? Solid defense. They don't like you. Look at your body. My brother. Listen. I need to get my cardio right. I need to get my cardio right. I wasn't ready to... You know what? When you realize, D-Bo, when the last time... I always would think this to people. When I was playing, when the last time you ran full speed? I ain't ran full speed. I ain't about to turn up full speed.

8:12In years, and that's what I need to make sure. I can still get up. Not even full, but just get up and go. No, you can't. Unless you go and be competitive and try and take off at 100%. And you lucky you won't be stranded. But why not? Why should I not be - That junky ass hip you got, that motherfucker don't even move, Joe. Look, this is the thing. My 100 is not the same as the old 100, but I should be able to get up to my 100 now and see - They can do 100 now, Joe. Huh? They've been doing 100 for the last 15 years. This is what they do. They play 20 U, 25 U, 30 U, 35 U, and they're going to play 40 U too.

8:47It ain't going to take me long to get my energy and to get my cardio back right. It won't take you long if you're actually training to do it, Joe. That's every day. I'm starting the day. You know what, man? I'm going to eat right, but I'm going to eat right for two days and I'm going to fuck up five. No, Joe, you got to put in the work. You know what you needed sometimes? This is what I needed. If I didn't lose by 40, I wouldn't be ready to get my groin right and start eating right and getting my cardio right. I needed a slap, a little nice reset. Like, oh, Jody, you're not in your duffel right now.

9:19You got to get back in your duffel bag. Cause not, not the tween, tween cross pull up. So what you go do to take care of that janky ass hip you got? Rehab. Needles. Dry needles. Dry needles. I got to get back on my dry needling. Alex, he hit me up last week. Talk about some Joe. How's your hip feeling? And now I'm crazy. That's what I need to hit him up and say. So he's going to hopefully be out here real soon. I need him before next game. So I'm putting that. That's going to be in the calendar. You needed it for a whole month beforehand to loosen that mug up. Debo, a thousand percent. A thousand percent.

9:58I'm going to start waking up in the morning. My stretches. You about to go and drop green on something that ain't going to make no green. See, Debo, all I'm telling you is. You about to. All right. Yep. All right. Listen, the game. Bruh, you ain't even a hooper, though. That's the thing, bruh. No, not crazy. Not crazy. But it's taking care of my body. It's taking care of my body, Debo. Hey, Joe. I got it. Go and work out. Yes. Do cardio. You can stride. You can go and decide how hard and fast you want to go. Yeah. And you don't have to adjust to somebody else. That's what I'm saying. That's why you don't go and compete and go into competitions like this, Joe.

10:36I'm not trying to go back to the NBA combine. I'm not trying to go to the NBA combine. I just want to be able to move. Did you was about to say go back? Yeah, yeah. Go back to the NBA combine. When were you there, Joe? I was never there. But I had thoughts that maybe I could really try to get there back in the day. I had real live hoop dreams, D-Bo. You're not understanding. I played varsity as a true freshman. So I thought that the potential was still maybe there. It's not. It's not. I was clearly— Jalen Bronson got you thinking you could do it. Bronson got me thinking. That's what I'm saying.

11:07He gave the little man hoop. He been doing this. Everybody. You ain't. Bro, I was in the joint. I started—I did the Bronson. I did the Bronson. I started kicking my leg up, and I started giving him off arm in the jungle. You started kicking your leg up because that motherfucker was twanging. No, no, because I was trying to get body. I was trying to like lean in and he was, he wasn't rocking. So I'm like, okay. How much you weigh? Right now? Hey, I'm about 185 right now. No victim weight. I'm about 185 right now. He bigger than you. Yeah, he was about 200. He was about 200. Joe. Old days, man. Hey, listen.

11:46I got to. Listen, listen, listen, listen, Javon. You talk about the football thing. I can't go back out there. You think it's going to be any different in a league of which you have never played and you ain't played any type of competitive sport in the last, what, four? Yes, but this is what I'm trying to tell you, D-Bo. I did not know that I was walking into playing the Monstars. If we would have played the team that I saw playing on the court before us, it would have been way more planned. These 35-year-olds are elite. What I'm trying to tell you, these dudes played college ball. I should have asked them.

12:31I was too humble to ask. There was no time to ask. I want to be like this. I want to say, hey, bro, you're 35 years old, okay? Okay, so you must have played overseas. You probably just came back from overseas. Are you from the area? You know what I'm saying? Where did you go to college? Why you got to go through all that? Keep your ass out of a league. It's a league for a reason. Couldn't it, Joe? The Seahawks, man, they got some Super Bowl rings over here, man, that is out of control, brother. Like, they revealed their Super Bowl 60 rings, which include a special button. It's got a special button on it, Joe, where it pop open and it show, like, the stadium inside.

13:15Mm-hmm. Like These rings Rings created by Some jeweler Jason of Of Beverly Hills Don't fucking matter dog Yeah Jason When it comes down to it Look at this video man Look at this Look at this He's making the last couple of I mean the special effects It ain't gonna do all that right there I don't think so That motherfucker bet not If it do We got a problem Ha It got instant water in it Bruh That's

13:46Hold up They could turn it into a necklace They could pop that during all of turn it into a necklace

14:00Pop it up

14:06Mm-hmm Lash it on, lash it in Pop it up, pop it up yo Come on man hey that's fire they say the bottom of the ring has 12 feathers a feature tribute to the team's fan base and number 50 was placed inside the ring while the inner part of the ring has the inscription 17 wins marking the team 17 to 3 record and route to the title joe these boys this ring got 50 diamonds, bro. It got 50 diamonds. And it could turn into a pendant. Yes. Multi-purpose. Put it on the chain. You wear it around your neck like that. So now you can't even tell wifey, yeah, you can't wear this. You know, the ring don't fit.

14:58Nope. She's like, yeah, don't worry about that. No, go ahead. Don't wear it as a chain. Don't wear it as a chain, yo. What you think, D-Bow? how that thing. They getting out of control, man. It's the largest Super Bowl ring ever created. Like, now, that's the largest one. The one next year will probably be even bigger. Like, I ain't going to... Do you know what your... Do you know the diamonds with your ring? What's your ring, kind of, Debo? What's your ring talking about? Man, my ring ain't talking about that. Ain't talking about that. Ain't talking about that. I'll tell you what, my first one...

15:32My first one, it was... It was low. I ain't gonna lie The first one The five It was low I ain't gonna lie It was like It was like It was like $5 ,500 or something Like that And do Do you have to buy You had to buy the support No No They gave it to you But you know what the value is And like I knew what the value was Because of Well the appraisal value Was like twice as much But I know what it was That it cost Hi it's Karen in Georgia From My Favorite Murder We cruised around LA In the Hyundai Ioniq 5 And dove into the fascinating Life of actress And inventor Hedy Lamarr Want the full story? 19:34But the second one is a lot better. That one was closer to like 20, 25, something like that. It had the nuggets in it and all that. But the first one was like, that was like a pinky ring. That was like a gentleman's ring. I actually do wear that one on my pinky though, you know what I'm saying? That was the first one, you know what I'm saying? And then the second one. Like, what was yours like?

20:01Joe, what was yours like? You just, why you, Debo, for what? Your championship ring. Didn't you get one in college? Oh, my college one. Okay, okay. Yes, it was nice. It was nice. We were talking about Super Bowls here. So, yes, in Florida, I did get one. It was super nice. It was real nice. I was about to say, you ain't win no Super Bowl. Did you have 50 diamonds in that thing, though? No. No. No. Okay. And I don't know. I don't know if they're, I don't know. I hope it's real diamonds. I don't know. I never went and got a check. Where is that? It's in my safe. Why you got it in the safe? You got a display.

20:37I wear it sometimes. I wear it sometimes. Sometimes I tuck it. Come on, baby. If you don't display it, how they going to know you got it? I got to go check and see if that Natty got the real diamonds in it, though. That'd be nice to know. You going to put the diamond tester on it? I'm going to put the diamond tester on it. Dang, I'd be so sad if it wasn't real diamonds. Bro, if they ain't give you real diamonds, though, you might have to go ahead and fight with them, boy. You know you ain't really tripping, though. I ain't tripping. Just be like, hey, replace all these diamonds. I'm going to still keep it, though.

21:04No, but it's the—I mean, that means the legit one is the one that we got with no—with cubic zirconians in it. Got to be more careful, Joe. These Super Bowl rings now, though, are getting ridiculous. They're getting out of control, man. In a minute, it's going to be a four-finger— He love it. It's going to be a whole—it's going to be a— All four-hear, yeah. Brass knuckle joint. Got the whole football field. This the play right here. And you open it up. Yeah. Then it starts going to the one other play. And then when you flip it back down, I can turn it into a manhole cover that I wear around my neck.

21:40You know what I'm saying? When I open it, it turned into like a little video. It show a video of your play. Like a real actual play. Each play that you had. Your best play in that Super Bowl, when you open it up, it's your play on there with your name and all that. Man, they about to be out of control. I ain't going to lie. I love it, though. At least you show the team you don't got to pay for it. You show the team. The team's got to do. Who pays for the rings? Do the teams pay for the rings? So here it goes. So this is what happened. You know what happened. When y 'all got y 'all a Super Bowl ring, so the team has to add whatever extra it is.

22:14So I think the initial amount of ring, I know when they first gave us ours, the first one we got, the payment that they made was$10 ,000. So it was$10 ,000 for each ring. Okay. with our first ring it got watered down because it was a whole bunch of other rings that were made and there was no money added to it so when you see these other rings that are like you know 30 40 50 60 80 thousand dollars yeah the team themselves have to make up for what the nfl actually gives and i think the only nfl only gives right now i think it's like 20 a ring okay and that's just for the roster. So that's just for your players.

22:58All additional rings, staffs, those are just, that's 100%. And that's why they're different too. That's why they're different. Like staff rings are different than the players rings. Okay. It's the same thing. It may be something different on it. Like it's not as chunky, you know, whatever it may be. And then they got like a family and friends ring, all that other stuff. But that's what you pay for as far as if you wanted to get that. But the team themselves, they get so much money per player so the rings is like you know whatever maybe they get an allowance of 20 grand whatever so everything after that the team is like okay they gotta add to it to be like okay so if your ring you know it costs 70 grand the team added 50 grand for each one and then whatever else they spent through that process i feel it i like that so So that means whatever.

23:46If your team got these fat rings, that means they're writing a nice little check. That's what you should do. You on the ship, go get it. They trying to – that's what it's all about. Yep, yep, for sure. Clemson's Dabo Sweeney weighs in on the chaos surrounding college football. He said the only thing worse than having no rules is having rules you can't enforce or don't enforce. I don't think any of us thought we'd be in a world where there's no order. It's a much bigger conversation now. Even in the NFL, there are rules. You can't sign with the Browns and go practice for two weeks, and the Dolphins call you up and say, hey, what are they paying you?

24:35Hey, we'll pay you a million more. Come down here to Miami. And then you go down there and they say, hey, boys, I'm out. Joe Yeah You agree with this Disagree with this What do you think Is going on You agree with what he's saying Disagree with what he's saying What you think I'm agreeing with what he's saying Like it's just everybody's College football Is not college football anymore And when you're saying something That if you can't There's The craziest thing is The only thing the worst Of having no rules Is having rules That you can't enforce If you have a league And you can't enforce your rules then there's a reason why rules are in place.

25:14Like people might not like rules. They might not want to always abide or whatever, but there's certain reasons why rules are in place. So that's why everything's able to run a certain way. If you didn't have rules, it's just a wild, wild west. Like there's no control. NCAA has always acted like they were a big league. They were a big unit. They were always like a big, like the NFL. The NFL has a legitimate, we have unions. We have real reps. We have stuff. It might not be the way that we want it. They do have rules in place. We're working to get changed. But we have things where we can go back and forth.

25:47NCAA, you don't. When you start ruling things and you have judges that just come around you and re-rule, it's like you can't enforce your rules. We don't have any rules. What's going on? So everything is challenged. All of the players, people should get played. Players should get played. Nobody's ever saying that we're against that. I don't think that that, players not getting paid for a long time has been something that Oh, you're a college athlete. I'm like, no, no, no. There's reasons why, why if you went to a school and you went to a school where you, there's an artist that's in your same class and the artist goes and sell their painting back in the day, they can go make profits on this painting and still be in school and nothing, nothing's wrong.

26:25They're still a student athlete, but they can go sell their painting because that's what they do. If you can go make money on yourself, I don't see why you would never be able to make that money. So if you're an NCAA player, you're working, you're playing on the team, you can go sign autographs for somebody that will pay you for your autograph. They're paying you because of who you are. That's being able to make money off of your name, your image, your likeness. So that whole thing with the NCAA was like, no, they're a college athlete. I'm like, you're trying to hide behind this stuff that's crazy the whole time when you're just blatantly like, that doesn't make any sense.

26:55So this whole thing now with the NCAA is like, the sheet is off. Like everybody, it's wide open. There's no rules. People are doing everything. I think another thing he was like trying to get, you know, he's talking about some way of pushing for a stronger, portal transfer, like portal regulations and then tampering and all the other stuff, like stuff that we do in the NFL that we have. So like you said, it's the Wild West right now. And without a set government of things that need to rule hell, even though, you know, the literal Wild West, until they got the rules and things were starting to be enforced, you know, it was what it was.

27:36And I understand, I'm with you, I understand what he's saying. And I know people are like, oh, you know, you're just trying to stop them from making money, man. No. They should be able to do this, man. Now you want to put parameters on them and all this. No. No. You got to do something. I want. They should have put something there before this even got started. Because, like I said, without the rules, you're in a situation where, like, yeah, guys should be paid something. but it's not it's you know it's not true everywhere you go like some guys go get paid more here they go get paid less here and when it really comes down to it bro like this is a business it done came down to being a business when you got the colleges sitting here and they're like okay who makes money for us y 'all want to sit here and y 'all want to really think about this and y 'all I want to say, oh, let these players make as much as they can.

28:35To hell with what they're talking about. It's like make all the money you can. Cool. They do that. You say, go ahead, make all the money you can. Who is the teams that are making the money? Most teams in college that are making their money is your football team and your basketball team, okay? And that depends on, like, what school you go to. So when you're talking about, and as a general statement, I'll say as a general statement, the profit that comes is either the football team and major D1 basketball. That's it. After that, you sometimes, you can have something where it's like, you know, some school, baseball or something, whatever, you know, whatever it may be like that.

29:21OK, so basically like and then some some women's basketballs, like I said, top, top programs. It just really depends on where it is. But it's very, very, very, very, very, very, very few and far in between. So if we're saying we got to pay these athletes and we're not going to put a limit on what they can be paid and we got to pay as much as we can to to be able to be competitive with other schools, you know what's going to happen? We're going to cut these damn programs. Why? Why? Because every other sport, baseball, soccer, field hockey, volleyball, you name it, wrestling, it don't make money.

29:58It's at a deficit. It costs money to make. And who's paying for it? The football team. And with the football team and the coach go say, we can't be competitive because y 'all keep paying for all these other sports out here that ain't. Sorry, that ain't making no money and they not generate no revenue. So they're upside down and we're using a football team and the basketball team's money to make up for all the stuff that they're getting. And they're like, you know what? We aren't competitive enough because we can't pay the players what it needs to be paid. So what happens? You get rid of those teams.

30:29Now what happens? You get less students, no scholarships. You got kids that go into school now and they have to pay their way to school. Now they're coming out of college if they're able to get into college because the only way they could have got in before was through a scholarship. they didn't have the money or funds to do it. And now they're coming out in debt. So what you're going to see is you're going to see a whole bunch of colleges that ain't got nothing but football and basketball programs. And now every other sport will be canceled because it has turned into a pure business. So you need to find a way to get this regulated.

31:00And if y 'all don't, that's what it's going to be. He's 100 % right. I'm with you because a lot of the football teams, basketball teams are making a lot of the money. I think it's like we said, players long time ago should have been getting paid. That's not that's not even a discussion. But it's the way that it's going to have to get organized to where like they act like they're a league, but they're not a league. They're not together. They're all they got to figure out like that. We're having contracts and being able to with NIL, I mean, with the transfer portal. dudes now they're saying that they could transfer if you're on the football team you could transfer to the track team and say that you're running track for another team and then be able to play on the football team so all of these different loopholes all these different ways they have to be able to get regular uh regulated because same time if you were to give people money contracts the players have to at the same time be able to kind of not we love the freedom but for you just to be able to still well it's one-sided right now and when something's one-sided then it don't it don't never last that long even when it's like the owners oh i got you you can do this you can't no that's why you got hold out sit out all that other stuff right now in college these boys can sign a deal today and then tomorrow somebody else come and they they're gone yeah like it's it's no it's no real structure there like that's that's that's out of control like you're gonna have to start paying these guys you might have to start coming up with some some sort of form of uh of some sort of union structure whatever that may be of how that'll be because you're going to have to need somebody to fight against what it is that's going on because once you put these rules in place you got to make sure it's fair for all and right now it's just a y 'all do what y 'all want to do and get the money where you can get it because there's no rules in place like and you look right here breaking news like the big 12 right now they filed suit against texas tech and the texas uh attorney general this morning for the uh brandon soresby uh issue where they filed suit against them and that's another thing they you can't enforce the rule you this dude went and he went and like went to a court to stop them from enforcing their own rule that's been there forever well at least as long as it's been there for a protection against gambling dude like stop it there is certain things like in the nfl we you can't with players betting on the sport i mean that's just something that you can't play with and if i think ncaa you can't let that happen that's not like a a bendable offense that's the integrity of the game so that's one thing is this damn court this damn attorney general these damn they think they could do anything that they want to out there like it this is not going to hold up they can't let this hold up if If this goes, this has to go all the way to the top Supreme Court, whatever it may be, and it will be knocked down because the rule says what the rule says, and it's there for a reason.

34:05If you go and they allow this, this is setting precedent, and every player will now be able to 100 % gamble on a game and say, you can't kick me out. You got to let me in because it's going to hurt my possibilities to be able to be drafted. it. No, you hurt your possibilities when you went and started gambling, you dumb motherfucker. Debo, correct. And that's okay. Sometimes people like, oh, we got to be, you don't got to be nice and sensitive to every single thing. Some shit is black and white. Some things you can't do. And it's okay that we want to go get you some help and stuff, but now you can't play football.

34:45But that's what they're using now. Debo, I'm with you. I'm this, I'm that, and da-da-da. Okay, well, I'm mentally messed up and I kill motherfuckers. I'm a serial killer. You should let me out. I got mental issues. No, I'm not. No, you lock them motherfuckers up and put them to death.

35:06Motherfuckers. Some shit is black and white. Listen, bro.

35:13Deon Sanders said this about gambling on your own team. Somebody gambling on a sport they're playing, you're playing, You don't think something's wrong with that? He said, just say this to yourself. This guy on my team is gambling on the sport and the competition that we're about to go out there and play. Something's wrong with that. Like, dude. Saying it out of your mouth. Just saying the words and like betting on the sport that you're playing. Oh, that's illegal. Right. Like, okay, boom, next topic. I have the change. Listen, bro, I got the capability to change whatever it is that I'm betting on, period.

36:01Hey, listen, they say James is supposed to go out there and he's supposed to get at least three sacks. He's playing against this bum-ass tackle that ain't blocked nobody since, you know, since Jesus was born. He ain't blocked anybody since then. And they got me for three sacks. But the under is paying, you know, 40 to one. Hey, and I'm betting. Damn, I had a bad game. Damn. Guess how many sacks, Joe? Two. I'll go two and a half. You'll go two and a half. But I'm going under three. You're going under three. I'm going under three. See, that there is crazy. Wait.

I whoop mine with a belt and I let them know real fast. Listen, it's repercussions and consequences for not listening.

40:20Delayed obedience is disobedience. My mama told me that a long time ago. Listen, idol threats and all that other stuff I don't whoop my kids because I'm mad at them I never whoop my kids because I was mad at them It has nothing to do with you If A happens, then B I didn't want to whoop my kids It actually hurt me to whoop my kids But I made them believe that daddy loved whooping ass Because I wanted them to think that You know what, man, let me not go out here and fuck up Because dad go whoop that ass I only had to whoop my kids a handful of times A handful of times But like It needs to be done, brother.

40:55Like, I don't... Otherwise, dude... Otherwise... What's going to stop him? Nothing. When you get to this point, this is something else I tell people, dude. This is something else I tell people, man. Is, if you're not going to actually enforce some sort of physical punishment onto a child between the ages of two and six, because they don't understand anything but reward and punishment, I think that's when you instill the most discipline into a child. Why? Because I'm going to tell you, I don't need to reason with you. I can't reason with you. You two and six, but I can tell you, don't do that. And if you do it, you get punishment.

41:34You get pain. It's easy. Reward and punishment. So now I teach you through the process of, hey, don't do that. And now later on, as you get older, I can reason with you. But if I don't get to that point to where it's always, no, no, don't do that. Don't do that. Don't do that. What happens when they realize it's no punishment for it? Stand in the corner. I ain't standing in the corner. Now they walk out the corner. Now what you going to do? Uh-uh. You go and you stand in that corner. I grab you. Get your hands off me. Fuck you, mom. Get off me. Now what happens? It's no physical punishment. Lil Johnny, don't touch the socket.

42:14Don't touch it. Lil Johnny ain't, he think you're playing the game now because you running over there grabbing him and you ain't popped his ass yet. Now when you ain't looking, Lil Johnny put that key in that socket and boom, Lil Johnny gone. Popped his ass you wouldn't have to worry about that because he would have been like, oh shit, I try and do this pain. I think the same thing that you're saying, Debo, is it's still too, when I'm saying, there's actions and there's reactions. Like when you, somebody's got to teach the kid right from wrong and I'm not always like, the same thing, you're not trying.

42:41They're getting softer and they're not trying to, you're not trying, you don't look forward to whooping your kid or putting physical, so like when I say my wife she did, I just tapped the tushy, like a quick tap of the tushy and my kids do a good job now of, now I can talk to them now because back in the day they didn't know when you tap them, they get that, you know what I'm saying I'm not like I'm sitting there spanking them, I don't feel I don't want to do this, but just getting that to you you're not going to do that, there's an authority now just in my voice, I don't have to touch I haven't tapped the tushy of my kids in three years just because now they know right from wrong.

43:13If I say something, they're not sitting there just doing things. When you say stop, it's instant stop. It's no, like, go do this. And they're instantly going to go do it. Like, when dad says something, you don't have to say something. You're never repeating yourself. Like, my wife, she's a lot more passive. She's like, and then she'll say it. I'm like, Joey. And then he instantly goes move and go do it. I'm like, you heard your mom. It's not like I just need to know there's an authority figure. You're this child. I'm not telling you to do wrong. When I tell you to do something, it's because I love you and it's because it needs to be done right now.

43:44It's nothing like if I'm telling you, you're walking in the middle of the road. Joey, get out the road. He's going to move immediately because he knows his dad's not just saying something just to be saying something. I need to be moving. My dad's trying to protect me. If he tells me to do something, it's because he loves me and I need to be moving. You know what I'm saying? So like, get out the road. You see, you're trying to protect them. So you need to be able to know like, no, what are you doing? You got to listen to me. Exactly. And what did he think was going to happen? He knew what the rules was.

44:16He knew what the rules was. But you know what it said? I got a mental issue. I can't I can't stop gambling. I just can't help it. Well, what the fuck is going to stop you if they let you play and then you go into the league? You think somebody go pick you up? You got a gambling problem. You got to so you so mentally fucked up. You can't even stop when they told you to stop. You done placed over. What was it? Ninety thousand dollar in bets over a course of four years. Four years, son. 9 ,000 bet. You go, you go, you go, you, what are you, what are you talking about, bro? You should be done. Obviously, you got something going on there in Texas over there, but this ain't, this ain't going to hold up, buddy.

44:54This ain't going to hold up. You, you got, you got to, you want, you want a little battle, but believe me, the NCAA going to win the war because it cannot go on. This will be the worst thing to ever happen to the NCAA if this is allowed to happen. And it would be the worst thing probably to ever happen in the history of football, sports, period. Like, you cannot allow this. You can't. Otherwise, dude, forget about it. Man, just do what you want to do. Do what you want to do then. You got people in there. Your mental capacity, I was down bad, you know, because everything is, you know, we take mental health seriously.

45:32Yeah, but then if he didn't, why the fuck should I? he didn't take it serious. He knew what the consequences was. He did it four years straight. Not once, not twice. Four years straight. Over 9 ,000 bets. Stop it, bro.

45:49Check out these super chats, Joe. You got. We got Covenant Life back. Shout out Covenant. Shout out Covenant. She said, Joe, be honest. What's worse? The loss or waking up the next morning? would you have would you have said I'm good if LeBron James walked out there it's Lebanon but I'm saying LeBron LeBron James walked out there to play also who why so many NFL players get arrested so first off I'm going to start off with the loss it sucked to cover the life but it was actually more I know that we're going I know I can do better I can get to my spot It's not It wasn't as bad As it seemed Joe To hell with getting to your spot You can't make the shot I can get to the spot Debo, Debo I can make the shot That's what I'm saying If they were just Cutting me off And I couldn't even I couldn't even get there Then that would have me More flustered I can get there I just need to get my My flip back right So yes LeBron James If he walked out there Would he If LeBron was out there We would have won if LeBron was on my team oh if LeBron was on your team if LeBron James was on my team we definitely would have won for sure because he would have been the best player out there and why the NFL players get arrested I don't know I don't know I would say offseason they gotta just start doing better with the I think just having that time it depends what they're getting arrested for man what do you mean I don't know what they're getting arrested for I don't know either.

47:34All right, what we got? Yeah, I don't know. We got Heckosante,$2, said, Debo, would you get your Super Bowl touchdown return on the ring? Hmm. Would you get your Super Bowl plays on the ring, Joe? Would you get one of yours? I mean, yes, if I did. Hell yeah. No, I wouldn't do that. Because it's not about the play. It's a team. It's a team thing? Team sport. Ah, okay. Now, if I could get... If they asking. Like the whole squad on there. You know what I'm saying? If I get the whole squad on there, then yeah, yeah, yeah. But no, I don't need to return on there. I get to see that like every year. Mike Mike,$100.

48:27Said, what up, Debo and Joe. Joe, you got this. Your basketball team can do the impossible. Get the freak out of here like the Knicks. Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike. Only impossible until it happens. That's what I'm talking about, Mike, Mike. I already know. I'm going to keep you updated on what's going on. It's going to be – the good thing is we got one week. We have one week off. Stop pumping his head up, Mike. Mike, Mike, know what's up. So when I get that full roster, Mike, Mike, next week – Look, I let you know the exact – I had nine. Next week, I'm going to let you. Not this week. Yeah, next week, you're going to come out here.

49:00You're going to be an unaccounted. 20. Cop that motherfucker sitting over there with Ice Lake kicked up. 20. 20 what? Minutes? 20 points. Oh, my goodness, bro. I don't understand you, bro. Like, I thought I was delusional. You know, I could come back and play in the league. I'm going to put up a video. You're going to tell me I can't come back and play in the league that I played in, but you can go and play in a league that you ain't played in against college athletes, semi-pro athletes, and get... How? Nobody knew these dudes played back in the day. I didn't know what I was walking into. I was hoping I was walking into them.

49:45Right, and you go walk your ass in there again and get done again. Why? I was hoping I was going to play five Debo's. Fudge, no. Debo ain't going out there. That's what I was hoping. At D-Bow, I seen five dudes that was like, you know what? Man, I see a little league going on. Y 'all want to go out there and play a little ball. That's what I was hoping. They just rolled the ball out. Just trying to go out there and get some cardio. But no, they were trying to go out there and get a real bucket. So now I just had to get my mind all the way right. And my team. So now my team knows. We know this is not no JV League when we go play the Monstars.

50:17The other two teams, now we got to come in there and lock in. So we know we got to prepare. When we see them in the locker room again. When you're next game? Huh? When you're next game. It's next Sunday. Next Sunday. Next Sunday. And then after next Sunday, then it's going Sunday, Sunday, Sunday after that. Yeah, so we'll see Monday. It's a blessing because we needed, after that first game, we needed two weeks of recovery. If we had to get right back out there on the ship, I don't know. I don't know. My morale was a little down. Okay. We'll see. We'll see. We're going to get right, though. How'd your event go, though?

50:56What's your event? Accuature. Oh, Accuature. That went really, really good, man. Really good. Really, really good. A lot of donations. My man Koontz was out there. Antonio Holmes was out there. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was a good turnout. They raised$1.3 million for charity, brother. Ooh. Yeah, they was out there doing it. Was it cash? It was like auction items and... Was the money on site, though? No, no, the money wasn't. See, there you know, Debo. The money wasn't on site. It was a lot of tap. It was a lot of tap to pay going out there. Tap to pay, okay. Yeah. Wow, man. I'm just about to get my skills up, I guess.

51:38Look here, baby. We want to thank you guys for joining us on this episode of Debo and Joe. Please make sure you like, subscribe, and download where you get to show. Covenant Life just jumped back in on it. What she's saying? Come to the light said, Joe, does Debo make you nervous when he becomes overly passionate and starts shit? Heck, I do. And I'm in the GA listening to that Debo music. Yes. Sometimes covet it. Sometimes. Get a little nervous. Because he gets a little aggressive. Stop lying, bro. You don't get nervous. I ain't going to lie. I ain't going to lie to her. I ain't getting nervous.

52:16I just know he's his opinion. He's strong opinions. And I like it when he gets like that. because that mean he cares. Hey, hey, hey, except for that car game. He tried to leave you, boy. Except for that car game. He tried to leave you, boy. He tried to leave you right there. The bus over here. Come on. Come on. You done spazzed on me, Joe. That boy tried to leave me at the Super Bowl. Come on. He tried to leave everybody. Yeah, okay. All right. All right, Debo. You right. Joe, you tried to leave everybody, bro. Man, look, I was tight. I was tight. I was tight. Hey, man. Thank you guys again, man.

52:51We will be back here tomorrow. We may have a guest for you. We don't know for sure yet, but we will put it up as soon as it is 100 % concrete. We want to thank you guys for joining us. Joe? Yo. Same place, same time. Tomorrow. Let's get it. Yo.
