2:25Our hometown is not a test tube. 90 miles northeast of Nashville, a battle for the future of America plays out in one small town. Developers with right-wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land. We need cities on a shining hill. This is Our Town, a podcast about what happens when a small town becomes the site of a social experiment and fights back. Guess you didn't move in on a bunch of dumb hillbillies now, did you? Listen to Our Town on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, matter of fact, let's get into it. Sports Illustrated, they released the rankings of the top five best rookie quarterback performances from week one.
3:07So five, we had the Bucs quarterback. Is that Jalen Daniels? Who is Jalen? It's not the other one. If not Jalen, it's Jalen. Okay. Okay. The Ravens. He had an interception, though. I don't think that's too good. He had an interception. He threw for 224, so they 22. Yeah, he threw for 224, but he also threw a pick. And it's a... Okay. All right. We got the Raiders. Your boy, Mendoza. Solid. Yeah, he did all right. He did all right. He did all right. Ty Simpson spazz. Ty Simpson. He spazzed out. He went 21 for 25. He went on here and got 192 tutties, a 125 quarterback rating. That's all right. You know who took the show.
3:55They had some boy over there. They had some boy over there named, from the Pittsburgh Steelers, named Drew Aller. He went 10 to 13, 153 yards, two touchdowns, 154.8 quarterback rating, and he ran one in for a touchdown. Hey. Yes, sir. Hey, Joe. Yes, sir. Hey, Joe, that's why that man, Jersey, immediately sold out right after the game. They ain't had no Jersey left in the Steelers shop.
4:27James Harrison:Gone.
4:31James Harrison:Deservingly so. No, man, we got to chill. It's preseason game one. I'm just telling you, Joe. They got to go buy the Jersey. It's preseason. Go buy the Jersey. Listen. Listen. Listen, the Steelers feel real good about Drew Allen. I feel good about Drew Allen. Matter of fact, the Steelers felt so good about Drew Allen that Mike McCarthy says he was, or they feel he is a first-round pick. Yo, they say the man could have been a first-round pick or should have been a first-round pick, However you want to put it. Joseph. Joseph, look, look. This is what you got to understand, brother. He said, Mike McCarthy said, quote, when we drafted Drew as an hour.
5:26Yes. There you go. We felt like we were getting a first round pick. That's what he said. That's what he said, Joe. and then all you people out there talking about why didn't draft him in the first round all that other because you didn't listen to the whole concept of what it was said you got to get into the fine print you got to listen to all of it he said based off of his junior year then he got hurt read a little more hell I'm just saying I think it was a Browns fan that said it it had to be a Browns fan that said it Because, you know, y 'all just up here, because there's probably a lot of y 'all in there right now talking goofy crazy, something like that.
6:12You know what I'm saying? Listen, as a Browns fan, I know y 'all, you know, y 'all need to, like, watch and listen. Like, I know y 'all may not read much, you know. Like, I don't know. I think that's why, like, Browns fans, like, that's why they bark. because, like, you know how a dog just start barking when he hear a sound? That's y 'all. Y 'all don't know what y 'all hearing. They bark, bark, bark. And then, you know, I'm assuming, like, Browns fans probably blind because y 'all keep them same colors. Joe, I'm sorry. Why you going to smack at the Browns fans? I don't know. Why you going to smack at the Browns fans right now?
6:55I don't know, man. I think I had a Brown overload.
7:00James Harrison:Yeah, yeah. Something like that. You was being real nice. I think I had too much positivity going on. It was too much positivity. You was being too nice to AB. And now you just want to take it out on me because I'm left. Hey, hey, Joe. You know, it's like when you get that food that tastes real, real good and you just keep eating it and eating it until you got to go to the bathroom and throw up because you ain't ate so much. That's where I was at. Anyway, man, anyway. Just to... Right, dude. Just to... Listen, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It's the quarterbacks. This is what I realized, too, when I watched our game, D-Ball.
7:34James Harrison:I got to go back. The depth. We don't have too much depth, but when our starters are out there, our starters are solid. So everybody got to stay healthy. Offensively? It wasn't too – At the beginning, I mean, yeah, yeah. They still got to get some camaraderie. They still got to get some camaraderie. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, I'll give you that. Because you didn't even have an offensive line when the year first started. That was gone. You didn't have nobody. We have to. We did it. We did it. But now we got some camaraderie. Because we got to get some push on these fourth and ones. We can't not get no push.
8:14James Harrison:I understand. Yeah. We didn't have, look, Denzel Ward and Campbell, they not out there. And they going. It's okay, man. Listen, it's the first game, man. we done with you guys. I'm sorry I went on in on this. I'm breaking open wounds and all that good stuff. You know what I'm saying? It was just I went into a little spill. I feel better now. I feel better now. You know, like, hey, listen. We got some good ones. We got E. Landon Roberts back on a one-year deal. Alright? The Pittsburgh Steelers signed a familiar face as at linebacker spot agreeing to a one-year deal with Elondon Roberts. We call him E-Rob.
9:02Played for the Steers in 2023 and 2024 seasons as a pure run stopper. Here is what E-Rob had to say on his return. Listen to the sound. I would want to yet, you know, so I can only kind of talk about the front seven. But like I said, man, my first two days here, it's been good for you all. Why did you want to come back here? You know, it's different playing for the Steelers. You know, I want to be back there. What does Patrick Graham do to help linebackers like yourself,
9:37James Harrison:off-ball linebackers, communicate and be maybe in better control of the defense? Now, you know his system, and I know that these guys have been really excited to work with him. I think just because from a linebacker's standpoint, he was a D-line at heart. You know, so the D-line, you know, he's big into that grid. You know, obviously he want them guys to make plays, but he like, hey, I don't want my backers to be touched and whatnot like that. So it's a it's a lot of that to where now it frees up the linebackers and open up our eyes sometimes. So, you know, when you're coming down here, it's really easy because it's like, I know you got to be like, let's do this, you know.
10:12And because if you're not putting two hands on these four hands on these guys, it's a problem, you know. So, you know, it's time to get busy. But other than that, man, them guys are going to give you time, you know, and whatnot. like that to dissect plays.
10:25James Harrison:It's just huge. And I think that's what the freedom from a linebacker come in as. It's not second guessing. With them big old joggers, you're going to know when it's play action. You're going to know when it's boot. People are going to be getting pushed back fast. And also, too, with them just being so big and massive and him being a D-line coach, it's easy to identify a run pass because, you know, like I said, man, hands are going to be put on them big ones up front. How much is the statement Landon Robertson has seen this year? Say what? How much is the same in Landon Roberts are you bringing back?
10:55From a physicality standpoint? From the old Landon Roberts that we saw two years ago. Yeah, I try not to change.
11:00James Harrison:I don't think I change much. You know, I think, man, probably the only thing that's changed, man, I got a little smarter from a football standpoint. The more years I'm in it, I'm able to get around, you know, a lot of good coaches, good defenses to be able to learn different systems and seeing different things. So that's the only thing. but from a physicality standpoint, I'm going to always be me. Bobby Wagner keeps bringing it back every year. Is that you? Oh, you're talking about... That kind of, as you get older, he keeps getting better, it seems. I mean, hey, I'm not going to lie. Right now, I'm just being on my feet.
11:38James Harrison:But me exiting is not in my thoughts no time soon. So, I'll let you get there. How did you get number 50 on Jamey? Me and Jamey, we were teammates in the Raiders last year. And 57 was available, and me and Jamie had a conversation, and we were able to make it happen. Thank you. Yeah. Thank you. Good luck to you, man. Say it again? Yeah. Right now, man, I'm just doing a little bit. You know what conversation that was right now. You know, and whatever role comes of that, comes of that. You know, that's all I can do. You know, make the refs count that I'm in on, and be a good teammate, good leader, and just come out here every day ready to go.
12:19Hey, Joe. Yo. Hey, Joe. You see that boy cheesing when he's talking about contact. You see him cheesing, smiling, smiling, loving. Hey, I wanted to come back here. Why? Because I know what it is about. I know what it is supposed to be. I know what a Steelers linebacker is. Okay? They brought my man E back for just what it was that happened. They had a fight going down. Why did they have a fight going down? Because he sparked that thing. You know why? He is that spark plug in that run game. He's going to come downhill and he's smacking and popping in practice. The O-line, they might not be liking it.
12:57The D-line might not be – the O-line might – the running backs might not be – they got into a little scuffle. But, hey, hey, listen, that's what he's supposed to do. That's what they brought him back for. You think they brought him back just for – They didn't bring him back to play two-handed? No. They brought him down there to drop O-linemen to their knee on the way to run through the running back's face mask. That's what they brought him back for. This ain't got nothing against Queen and P-Dug. Everybody has a skill set, okay? And when you're good at your skill set, that's what you become known for, okay?
13:38And this is his skill set. and if you looking for somebody that's going to put their face in the fan
13:48James Harrison:Joe and run through yes hi E I knew a man when I played there he reminded me and this is all he wanted to do his name was Vince Williams and Vince Williams was in there he knew Joe I'm not trying to cover anybody I'm like alright bet you go ahead and go Like, I'm just trying to go and hit. And if I can get to run somebody through their face, that's what I'm trying to do. Every single snap. And Vinny knew if they were running it over there, Vince is going to come in there and try to put anybody to sleep every time. Physicality was never the question. He's like this. When we get into coverage, okay.
14:28James Harrison:Vince is like, you know, I'm going to lean him to you, Joe. I'm going to make sure he's coming to your side. But with run, he needed no support. He needed nothing. I'm ready to go. Nothing. I know what time it is every time. So you need players like that that are amazing at exactly what they're going to come in there to do and smack something. Dude, I played with Ian when I went to New England in 2017, dude. And he was smart as hell back then. Extremely high, you know, football IQ back then. And now, hey, man, he done mastered it. What are you talking about? And he likes the physical part of playing.
15:07James Harrison:Did you see? Devo. He likes the physicality. You know, you know, because when you started laughing and smiling, he's talking about the physicality. I'm like, that's, I'm like, look at that. Like, I don't want, I don't have that. I used to be like, because he's not scared of nothing. He really feels like he knows any person that runs into him, he's going to knock them back, no matter what. It don't care how big you are. It don't care if you got the ball, no matter what. He's like this. Oh, no, we're talking about football, physicality. I will knock anybody that's coming this way. I think I will impose my will.
15:39one of the first things he asked me, Joe, when I went over to New England, he was like, hey, how do you put so many people to sleep? I said, hey, to put somebody to sleep, you got to be willing to go to sleep. A thousand percent. And let me tell you the question. I said, I'm willing to go to sleep. I said, that's some of the best rest I done ever had when I went to sleep. I woke up feeling good. Joe, I woke up feeling good. I welcome it, Joe. You welcome that narcolepsy. And the fact that I welcome it is probably why more people went to sleep.
16:16James Harrison:More of them went to sleep than I did. A thousand percent. A thousand percent. Because I want it. You don't always get the smoke. You didn't believe you was going to go to sleep. Hey, Joe, I didn't believe I could go to sleep no more. I didn't. I didn't, Joe. See, because look, and this is the other thing they're talking about too, Debo. When they're saying like, if you're not tackling, that doesn't mean that you're still not smacking. When you running up and you see these people, when you hit somebody with your shoulders and you just square them up, bum, that's imposing your will. You're knocking people back off of their feet, bum, off of their shoulder smack.
16:47James Harrison:That's just like, that's real. Like, oh, you throwing people fullbacks, getting smacked. You remember 38 on our team when that fullback came down there and he, bum, folded them. And then looking at them, I'm like, that's not tackle. You didn't have to tackle nobody. Like, no, stay off the ground. Boom, keep telling him to stay on his feet. Light man, little man. Yeah. Hey, listen, man, don't be playing no games, whoever your running back is, on this next preseason game. I promise you my man is out here, and he'll be playing this game as if it is the Super Bowl. He's playing every game as if it's the Super Bowl, dude.

18:32and words being spoken, captured by some sort of technology. Danny McBride. He loves Boba. Oh, that's fantastic. And you make it on, you make your own. That's great. I call him Taro Reed. That's a good name. They're all named after cast members of American Pie. Yeah. I call, I don't, I never looked up if she was in this, but I call him Leachie Sobieski. Yeah, I don't think she was in American Pie, but I still like that. Haven't looked it up. Haven't looked it up. She was prominent around the same time. Then Mary Steenburgen. Why are you guys talking to me? I'm worried. Why are you talking so down to me that you think I don't understand your little play game?

20:41Days later, they walked into a scorched-earth war they never saw coming. Turn around and place your hands behind your back. The cops came to my house and threw me in jail. And to Cindy's surprise, her fiance, Kenny, was charged with abusing one of her children. I never once doubted Kenny, and I always doubted the accusation. On season three of Burden of Guilt, you'll hear a story about the lengths someone will go to in order to get what they want. This case has got to be one of the most despicable. 23:05All right. I'll be there. What time I fly out?

23:10James Harrison:Yeah. Gotta do, wait, wait in for him. He get off the plane, he go to the terminal. He go to the terminal, got that just holding it right here. Got his name played. Yep, waiting on him. That baggage plane. No question. No question. Listen, bro, I guess Von Miller has reportedly agreed to terms with the Cowboys. Go ahead, Von. Go ahead, Von. Yo. Man, 37 now. They don't need to come in. He got nine last year at the Commanders. He got nine last year. He got nine last year. I mean, that's more than a lot of people that I know. So I'm like, until— You think this going to help them get a playoff win, brother?
23:49James Harrison:Vaughn ain't going to hurt. Vaughn ain't going to hurt. They got Vaughn. They got Williams. He's not going to hurt their D-line. He's going to bring some veteran leadership. I don't know what the bag is, but I know Vaughn trying to still play. He got nine last year and six tackles for loss. that's actual production so like we're gonna bring Vaughn in you know what I'm saying see he can do it again but I know Vaughn think he's still getting 10 he's still working out he's still he's never stopped so like it's not like he's coming off the couch retired no Vaughn played for the commanders last year had nine sacks and six jun and six uh tackles for loss so maybe not a like 16 game starter but man you're telling me it's third and long Vaughn got skills he can go get him some sacks he can make something happen.
24:32James Harrison:So definitely, I don't think it's like, oh, this is going to bring us over the top, but Vaughn on your team isn't hurting. I'll agree with you. I'm not going to say it's going to get them a playoff win. But if you didn't think the Cowboys were going to get a playoff win before Vaughn, then it's like, all right, maybe not. But, you know, they in the picture. I ain't seen enough improvements on the defense that I feel like it's going to be enough production to accommodate a win. That's my only go-to. But on the offensive side, CeeDee Lamb believes that in 2026, he and George Pickens can be the best ever, Joe.
25:19Joe, they talking about better than what we got here. Randy Moss, Chris Carter, Larry Fitzgerald, Antoine Bolden. Isaac Bruce, Torrey Hope, Jerry Rice, and T.O. Ooh. Jamar Chase and T. Higgins. Yo, do you think like they can top them guys? What is that? One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Is that eight Hall of Famers?
26:00James Harrison:I mean, that's the only reason why. I think he's talking about numbers. He's talking about numbers. He's talking about numbers because he's talking about individual seasons. This is longevity. This is doing it together for a long time. If you're looking at them like, can they out beat one of their seasons? Can both of them go for 1 ,500 and 10 touchdowns apiece? Then if that's what we're talking about, maybe so. because I think CD and George Pickens are both ones. You know what I'm saying? And you have Dak Prescott. Oh, yeah. He's going to put up. His numbers are never not extremely high. So I think with the offense, the way that they put up crazy numbers, I think when you go about Randy Moss, Chris Carter, we talk about, like, longevity, how good.
26:45James Harrison:If you're talking about for one season, the numbers they could do it. Both of them could put up 1 ,510 tuts. And then I want to see how many touchdowns in yards that these duos had together. but like over a career Isaac Bruce and Torrey Holt when they had Oz Akeem that's greatest show on turf that was just you knew Kurt Warner and they were doing it for years like four years in a row so that's what when you were Chris Carter and Randy Moss they was Randy Cunningham and Culpeper so like if you're gonna do it you're gonna these dudes they was doing it for a long time it's one season maybe we had better stats than them I could I could see it happening for sure because there's two number ones on the team.
27:22James Harrison:They still haven't been able to pay Pickens because he about to try to get 40-some a year. You're already giving CD 35, so you got two dudes that are legit ones. And Dak coming up again. Dak coming up and Dak getting 60 a year, so he's ready to go and do what he got to do. I need 70. Hey, man, that's what y 'all want me to do. Y 'all want me to stay here? I need 70. I'm Dak Prescott. Grass ain't always green on the other side. Give me 70 or go ahead and pay somebody else 50 in and see what happens. I'm slinging that ball. What y 'all gonna do? Matter of fact, do you know who has the highest total?
27:58Highest total? For two receivers on the same team? You'd never guess, bro. And they're not on this list?
28:08James Harrison:No. Wow. Well, no, I wouldn't have guessed it then. Who? Detroit Lions. 1995. Herman Moore and Brett Pierman. Bruh, 16, 16, 86 or more and 14, 88. Okay. That's what I'm saying. Three, four, 31, 31, 74. Yo, guess who the quarterback was? Some dude named Scott Mitchell. 4 ,300 yards, bruh. 4 ,300 yards, bro. 95. That was a 16-game schedule, bro. And them boys got 3 ,100. Now, hold up. That ain't it. Bro, that ain't it. That ain't it. Barry Sanders still had 1 ,500 rushing that year. You want to know something else horrible? Was they defense trash? Had to be. They didn't win a playoff game. Didn't win a playoff game.
29:16That's why Barry had to. You know why?
29:18James Harrison:That would get Barry sick. You know why, bro? That's why Barry got up out of it. Listen, bro. You know why they didn't win the playoff game? That boy Mitchell went up in there, and that boy threw two pick sixes in the playoff game. That's the first one they were seeing. I think he had, like, four turnovers, dude. Like, that was 95, bro. Like, 16-game schedule, bro. That's what it was, bro. Like, that team had so much talent on there, bro. he never recovered bro from that season from that playoff game he never recovered from the playoff i bet like in bro i'm trying to tell you he didn't recover he ended up having more picks than interceptions like all the way down until i think charlie batch ended up taking over for him in 98 and then barry was like i'm out of here barry was like i'm out of here and then that was Detroit ain't had nothing going on until the last two, three years, three, four years, whatever it is.
30:18Like, bruh. And I'm with you on the Burrow and them two boys over there. I think if Burrow had a good old line, okay, they would have possibly probably already broke that over there. 1000%. Also, you got to have everybody healthy at the same time. But give them some blocking. Somebody that's going to protect, get everybody healthy, playing at the same time. I think they would have had that a few years ago.
30:48James Harrison:That's what I'm saying. I didn't know what the number was. I was thinking if you had two receivers that got 1 ,500, then that'd be right around, but it's 31. So they could... 31-74. That's in 95, bro, with 16 games. So Randy Moss, Chris Carter, all of these, Larry Fitzgerald, all of these duos still had under that. I wanted to check and see what was the highest that they had. Because I did not. I didn't see that one. Yeah. That's wild. Bro, I would have never thought that. I'm thinking, okay, which one of these had it? And I went and I'm like, no. I'm thinking Isaac Bruce and Torrey Holt. Like, that was great to show on turf.
31:28James Harrison:They did it a bunch of times. And I don't think, I think Torrey Holt averages like 1 ,300 yards receiving. Like, yeah, it's crazy, bro. It's crazy. Look here. You know what else is crazy? That bag, bag, bag. He became the highest paid corner in Seattle. That baggy. Oh, my goodness. At the dominant performance in the Super Bowl win in February, three-time Pro Bowl cornerback Devin Willispoon and the Seattle Seahawks agreed, reached an agreement for a four-year,$132 million extension. A contract includes a$101 million guarantee, making Witherspoon the highest paid corner in the NFL. Joe. Yes, sir.
32:15This deal being signed, him resetting the market, what is going to happen with us over here with Nephew?
32:24James Harrison:It's not looking good. This is what I want to figure out, though. It gets to the point where the Steelers, I understand, it's like you want to sign them earlier than later because ain't nothing going to happen, but the baggage is going to continue to go up. The salary cap is going to continue to go up. So our first, I'm looking at like the 25. If we're going to get them under 25 to 26 to 27, I was hoping that was going to be the sweet area. That ain't no more. That's what I'm saying. The longer that you wait, the more that it's going to go up. And I don't know, like when you have a corner like Joey Porter Jr., at the end of the day, he signed for$9 million.
33:08James Harrison:four years ago. He's been playing way above that market. So we know that he's been doing nothing but getting better and it's time to, all of these dudes like Witherspoon, Stingley, Sertan, Horn, the boys, the dudes that are balling, there's nothing going to be, nothing's going to happen, but the contracts are going to go up. So you're getting$33 million a year now. I just hope that we can get Joey Porter signed before, I mean, now, I don't know. Because when I was thinking 25 at first, now I'm like, who knows what they're doing? I can't go for less than 28 now. And honestly, 30. What we got in the cap?
33:56What we got in the cap, bro? We just signed. I ain't even lied to you. This is not positive for me because we just signed Benton. We just signed him. I don't think we got a number of maybe four or five million in the cap.
34:10James Harrison:You know me. You know me. You know I don't believe in that cap. Dude, you cannot believe in the cap, bro, but the cap is real. Okay, Joe? I don't believe it. Bro, what did I say? What did I say, bro? I said a while ago. I said, you know what? I said, oh, no, they might be. And then I was like, no I ain't gonna say it. He was like yeah say it. Then I said it and you were like oh no no no no don't say that. I'm trying to tell you it's starting to look like that might be the move. I don't know. I hope it's not. But it's starting to look like that might be the move. I hear you. I know. I know. I know.
34:48James Harrison:It's crazy league. You the corner. You nephew. If I'm nephew I'm feeling I'm feeling undervalued. I'm not feeling appreciated because at the same time, there's people in your locker room that came in the joint the same time as you. And it's like, I didn't do nothing different. And it's not like they are not ill-deserving. Everybody that got paid has been balling, is doing their thing. They are in-house people. So it's like, okay, you're taking care of home. But I'm home. Like, I'm homegrown. I'm a little peasy. Pops was even here. And not even nothing to do with that. But I'm the starting corner.
35:24James Harrison:I've been balling, increasing my play every single year. And now, like, I'm out the way. I don't get in trouble. I don't do nothing. But my play has increased. Nick Herbert wasn't starting. And I'm going to – he's making$100 million to$25 million a year. You know what I'm saying? The third outside linebacker. We got TJ at 40. And then we got Highsmith that came in at 17-5. And he's now trying to go ball out. Everybody got to go ball. Everybody understands. The league is the league. But it's like when you see other people in there that Donnell Washington coming in, which he's making his bread now, 12.
36:00James Harrison:When you're sitting there and you're balling, you've been doing your part. This contract that he's signing now isn't for what you're about to do. It's because these contracts are what you've done for me already. You bought out. Your first contract, what you do in college. So that's how you get to your rookie deal. You sign that because that's only what you've done in college. They don't have nothing to go off of. Your second contract is what you did those first three years. You can pay for that. For what I just did that time. So now, if you continue to ball, that's when you go get the new one.
36:29James Harrison:Because it's like, oh, you've already... It's always what have you already done. So now, as soon as you start slipping, they're like, oh, that's on the next deal. You're tripping. You're not playing at that high level. Because once you start making$40 million a year, oh, that's your norm. But you better not go down because that's your next contract we're talking about. Yep. Brother, it's a tricky situation. I'm just looking at it from the outside in with no real detail. But, you know, just from what I'm seeing, the way things are moving, what's left there, what's not there, what is happening, what hasn't happened.
37:09This is really looking positive for a situation where everything ends up working out in the end. And, you know, I don't know. Worst case scenario, you know, what do they do? He says, okay, well, I won't play. They keep him, and then they end up have to get rid of him next year, or they lose him next year, whatever that may be. Or they go on and, you know, keep him and end up having to trade him just to get a value for him. I mean, it's a tricky situation. We're going to see how it roll out, but we're going to see how something else roll out too. I guess Aaron Donald done worked out with the Rams again, you know.
37:51Like, what's going on, man? And this is the second time this summer Aaron Donald was listed on the NFL's transaction wire and having a workout with the Rams. The Rams head coach, Shami Bay, told reporters yesterday, we've had great dialogue. It's going to be on his timeline. It's going to be on Aaron's timeline. You know, if Aaron does decide he wants to do it, I've been very open that we want to try to explore that opportunity. I feel great about our football team as it currently stands, and I know he'll add value if he decides to come. Joe, do you think AD is coming back?
38:37James Harrison:I think he is. I think he's taking his time. Yeah. I think he's going to come back. He's not just going to keep doing the in and out for no reason. Why? I don't know. I think he would probably come back to play with just, I think maybe he still got a little, a little itch. Like if you weren't coming. You did it. You wrote the book, but now what? It's images and words being spoken, captured by some sort of technology. Danny McBride. He loves Boba. Oh, that's fantastic. And you make it on, you make your own. That's great. I call him Tarot Reed. That's a good name. They're all named after cast members of American Pie. Yeah. I never looked up if she was in this, but I call him Leachie Sobieski. I don't think she was in American Pie, but I still like that. Haven't looked it up. She was prominent around the same time.

42:04It started more than seven years ago when Cindy and Kenny were two 40-somethings who had just gotten engaged. Days later, they walked into a scorched-earth war they never saw coming. Turn around and place your hands behind your back. The cops came into my house and threw me in jail. And to Cindy's surprise, her fiancé Kenny was charged with abusing one of her children. I never once doubted Kenny, and I always doubted the accusation. On Season 3 of Burden of Guilt, you'll hear a story about the lengths someone will go to in order to get what they want. 42:55Our town is small taters by most standards, right? But to the people who grew up here, it's everything. What happens when a quiet Tennessee town becomes the front line in a battle over the future of America? Developers with right-wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land in the area. The first thing you see when it pops up is pioneers in Appalachia. But they weren't just planting houses. We need cities on a shining hill that exemplify and embody the Christian way of life. Stop right there. Is that normal? A podcast about what happens when a small town becomes the site of a social experiment.
43:32God need men to rule. Great. And decides to fight back. Do not use my hard work to sell your bull. They're not just opposing what's being planned for here. Our hometown is not a test tube. They feel like they're standing in opposition to an entire administration. Guess you didn't move in on a bunch of dumb hillbillies now, did you? Listen to Our Town on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
44:21James Harrison:It's not like he's not going to go try. I mean, obviously, he's not going to go try. I understand that, but. They got a squad. They got a model. You can't not. You can't come back and not win it. That is a failure. He's still going to be first. Because they already been anointed as the favorites to win. And now you're telling me you done got one of the coldest to ever do it back and you don't win it? Along with the best player in defense from last year? Huh? You know they go take at least four up on the line. We pass blocking. What you mean? We go one, one. Uh-uh, that ain't gonna work. They ain't gotta do money with a four-man rush.
45:04That's what I'm saying. Now you add a fifth as a blitzer. Now they gotta sit in. They max protecting. You think he coming back? Five people. I hope he not coming back. I hope he a man in his word and say, you know, he ain't had nothing else to prove. Okay. You know, that's what I'm hoping. You know me, I'll speak to you. You know, but hey, if I'm going with what I'm seeing in front of me.
45:33James Harrison:That's what I'm saying, Debo. What I'm seeing in front of me, you going through what you hope that he told you is the truth. I'm like, Debo, people keep pulling up to the facility, putting the helmet on. Hey, he coming back or he playing with me. coming back and replaying with me for clicks and likes or something. That's what I'm saying. AD got shit to do, man. He was going to be chilling. I ain't even heard from him in a while. And next thing you know, he keeps popping up with a helmet on, doing the ladder drills, looking like he's getting ready to play football. Like, yeah, bro. He ain't playing.
46:12Don't nobody play like that. Who you know play like that? don't nobody we don't want to back D-Bug you said he had a gun oh my god hey man let's jump into these what do these chats talk about coach what is that is it Frank Franchette
46:39Franchise key $2 we need DB help in Cleveland. AB, please make vet calls.
46:51James Harrison:Y 'all need DB help in Cleveland? Look, we don't have too much depth, but we are starting. Our starting DBs are fire. So we just need, like he's saying, we may need a little depth. We may need one more. We may need one more nickel. Yeah. Okay. So, you know, because Denzel Ward and Tyson Campbell are strapping. We have number top one, two cornerback tandem. Oh, you need some backup. That's what we're saying. That's what we're saying. You ain't got a nickel? We got a guy we drafted last year. You know what I'm saying? Doing pretty good. So we're going to see, but it's no set in stone. Okay. Okay, let's go on down here.
47:37Foxy Mama,$10. She said, in my opinion, I don't think Shador is ready. I'm not taking any away I'm not taking away any of his talent. He needs to observe his seasoned veteran and stop trying to prove he's ready. I guess Dylan, I guess, I guess Dylan's not in. I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't. I don't think.
48:10Well, I don't think he's not ready. I just think right now, Dylan obviously is not in the running, but Watson, it just looks better. And he ain't played in two years, and that's what the performance I get compared to the performance I got from Shador. I'm leaning to Watson. Yep. I mean, I'm going to say that he's not ready.
48:41James Harrison:I would just, from that performance, I would say, yes, I think he needs to get definitely a little step quicker. And I think just let's see him play with the ones. And let's see how that looks first. Let's get them both for the chance to play with the same line, the same receivers, the same talent around them to be able to get that production off. So then after that, be able to go. But I do think that I was expecting a little bit, a little bit more. yeah i i was i was definitely expecting more from sudor and i was not expecting as much from watching that's what that's yes honestly matter matters of the heart jay jay nay five dollars i i've been binge watching limpy with my daughter for a while Yeah.
49:34And then I came across this episode with Joe on there. Yes. Man, I would have never known.
49:41James Harrison:Y 'all watch Blippi with your children. We'll love the episode where Joe Hayden teaches the kids how to play cornerback, defensive cornerback. What is Blippi? It's like a kid's show. It's a dude. Blippi is a person. He goes around and does little things, shows them how to color, shows kids how to draw different things. And he came to - It's a cartoon? No, no. He's a real person. He's a real person. Blippi put on a little fit, come to the crib. Everybody know Blippi. Blippi pulled up to my, because my kids was watching Blippi. So I ended up getting in touch with Blippi. And then we did a show together.
50:13James Harrison:He came to the house. And I had Blippi and I teach them how to play cornerback. So if you look up Joe Hayden with Blippi, great episode. A lot of people pull up with me and say that they see me on it when they just watch them with their kids. I had no idea. Where was this? This was in 2017, 2018? Oh. Yeah, I did in 2018 when I was still in the league, D-Ball. I was still actually, I was like, oh yeah, Joe Hayden. No, I didn't care about that. I'm just trying to figure out when it was because I didn't see it. It was in 2018 out in LA and it's on YouTube. Blippi Joe Hayden. Blippi Joe Hayden. Listen, y 'all go see that.
50:47Y 'all got kids, man. That goes, Santa, said Joe. You should have told AB we have a surplus of quarterbacks with Will Howard. maybe a Will Howard maybe a number 16 our future starter that shirt inspired Debo yeah thank you thank you very much thank you very much Joe look
51:12James Harrison:I'm not talking look I'm not talking I I get to stuttering when y 'all y 'all got to a point see Joe Joe listen listen I tell you what hey I tell you what we'll do for you man whichever one we don't end up keeping with I'm still, look, don't even act like that. I'm not, I still believe in Shadour. Maybe a third. Shadour's still going to be good. We just got to get this line to protect him and then he going to get out there with my boys, you know what I'm saying? And just come on, Shadour, let's go. Tight passes. Where is he? Echo Santa, he's back$2. He said, JPJ, Joey Porter Jr., going to be the Steelers highest paid corner ass.
51:57I hope so.
51:58James Harrison:Facts. Highest paid corner. Okay. They probably ever, I don't. I'm going to go with that. I'm going to go with that. Highest, still is highest paid corner. That's why you guys, you guys define that. I like that. You define that. That's right. Yeah. I like that. Echo Sante. I got you. Mike, Mike, $105 said, what up, D-Bo and Joe. Y 'all might as well come back for the. that's the little that's the same little rotational role to get a ring with the Rams what is Mike Mike talking about y 'all might as well come back for the Rams too play a little rotational role and get a ring wow Mike I ain't I ain't ring chasing man I might just do us on to the bandwagon hey man I done accomplished all I needed to accomplish man I'm good I'll go get look if the Browns or the Steelers get one you know what I'm saying I'm gonna be right there I promise you, I'm getting a ring.
52:57James Harrison:That's real bandwagon. If I got a bus up in that monkey, strapped up, y 'all go give me a ring. I can't do that. It's us. It's Deebo and Joe, the unofficial show for the Pittsburgh's Delt. Bam. Play it up. You heard what I said, the unofficial.
53:24we got covenant live she bad you say 20 she said joe are we still calling cleveland a serious threat or did that 34 to 10 loss expose more questions than answers and with watson versus sordora still going on, who do you trust when the games actually count? Man, cover the... Nice cap, D-Bo. I know. My game, my hat game, it packed up out.
53:56James Harrison:No, I did look... So, Joe... The 34-10, that was just... You can't take the preseason... Stuttering, Joe. You can't take the preseason games that serious. Not everybody's starters are out there. We're playing basic ball. So, maybe, like, there's no real scheme. We're looking at performance, bro. Nobody really performed. We're looking at execution. Nobody really executed as well as they should, especially your offensive line and your defense. You're not letting me answer. Oh, go ahead. I'm just talking. I'm saying it was not as good. Trust me, it wasn't as good as I wanted it to be at all. But one thing I can tell you is the offensive line, we got time for them to jail, get them together.
54:40James Harrison:And then when our starters were out there at the office, It wasn't no stunt game, Joe. They don't need to gel on nothing. You just need to stick to something. The backups. Once it got down to the second or third, then it started looking difficult. That's what I'm looking at. That's what I'm telling you. My depth from the game, I can see our depth ain't what I wanted it to be. Offensive line depth? What joke? Our depth ain't what I wanted it to be. Next question. How do we got to gel together? It was no... Wow. Come on, man. Because you trying to jump on me. I can't. Oh, my goodness. I can't wait for this second game.
55:13Foxy Mama 4-3-2-1 she back$2 she said I wish y 'all came to Falcons training camp
55:21James Harrison:Joe we might go to the A I like the A we might go to the A we might go to the A let's see Covenant Light came back through Covenant Light came back through $5 she said just come to Atlanta and I will treat you both See, that's... I got you. Oh, yeah. That's where Covenant at. I know where you at over there. You over there by that mountain. Okay. Covenant Lassie over there by that mountain. I'm going to lie to you, but we might want to do the For Real, For Real. Like, next year, a training camp tour. Just try to hit one, like, a couple little teams. Definitely Browns, obviously. Hitting the Steelers with the good weather so we can be outside.
56:04I'm going to have to hit the Steelers. I got to hit the Bengals and the Ravens because I played at all them places.
56:08James Harrison:Okay, let's hit all the teams that you played for then because we just got Browns. We just got Browns and Steelers over here. I got to hit the Patriots too then. I'm down. I would love to go see how they operate. We run that tight circle. You know. And try to stay there. They depth big. They going to have me behind the ropes. Oh, man. Oh, coming to the locker room again. She said, you have to take these preseason games serious because that's who you are picking. That's because that's who you are picking. That's the people you're picking for your core, is what she's saying. Cover it. My Joe. This is what I'm trying to tell you.
56:50James Harrison:My Joe start. This is what I'm trying to tell you, Covered. Our starters, a lot of the Browns, our main first starters, they weren't even out there. They didn't play at all. So, like, I understand we get our core. Okay. Them is the people that we're figuring out if they're going to make the team. We're keeping out a lot more players than we had at all that should have been out there. What about your offensive line? Okay. Fan who played good. You know what I'm saying? I want to know who was out there that wasn't a starter. Who wasn't out there that wasn't a starter. I think we had maybe one. Maybe one of those.
57:25James Harrison:Huh? They got to jail. They got to jail. They got to jail. Wasn't no stunt and twist game. What are they jelling for, Joe? Every man whooping man. Deebo. Come on, man. I'm going to have way better answers after the second game. The first one, the same way we didn't just jump on. Hey, listen, y 'all. Jovo had way more better answers after the second game. Way more better. Because right now. That's what we're going to go with, man. Look here. We done went way over here, man. We want to thank y 'all for joining us on this episode of D-Bo and Joe. Please make sure you like, subscribe, and download where you get your show.
58:06So again, want to send a big shout out. Thank you to Andrew Berry, man. Had a great time, man. Appreciate you. You're doing your thing.

Developers with right-wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land. We need cities on a shining hill.
