In short
The hosts debate Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson’s postgame apology after booing, and discuss off-field news involving 49ers owner Jed York. They also shift to college football recruiting/eligibility rules for former NFL players, focusing on SEC and Big Ten proposed restrictions on returning to college after going pro.
Guest backgrounds
No guests are interviewed in this transcript. The episode is hosted by “Deebo” and “Joe” (sports talk hosts).
Key claims
- Watson says his Saturday comments were “human nature” and that his emotions got the best of him; he “takes full responsibility” and apologizes, saying he didn’t intend to attack fans.
- Watson frames the booing as personal/disrespectful rather than purely performance-based, referencing his injury history and the Browns’ investment in him.
- The hosts argue Watson should have handled criticism more professionally given his $230 million deal.
- Jed York was arrested in Ohio after allegedly responding to a prostitution website ad; the NFL will review under its personal conduct policy.
Notable examples
- Watson’s “17 away games” remark (referenced as a clip he made after a prior game).
- Mention of 49ers owner Jed York’s arrest details (Columbia County, Ohio; $140 exchange; device used to arrange; misdemeanor charges).
- College football: SEC says players who sign pro contracts can’t return; Big Ten reportedly plans similar limits.

2:46James Harrison:I was just wondering But I guess Deshaun Watson The starting quarterback Addressed the media to Apologize for his post game Remarks he had this To say John
3:10First off I want to address the comments from Saturday after the game. You know, I think just, you know, human nature, just myself being very emotional, putting a lot of time these last two years to, you know, get back and, you know, spend time in this facility, in the city, meeting a lot of different people in the community. You know, I thought I was going to get, you know, a little different response. But, you know, I think, you know, my emotions got the best of me. And, you know, I wasn't, my comments wasn't intending to go at any of the fans around in the city. Because there's been a lot of great fans that have been supporting me.
3:53And I know the frustration this organization have put, you know, a lot of investment in coming, you know, to get me back in 22. And things haven't been going the right direction that we thought it was. You know, a lot of injuries, a lot of time off and not putting the best football and my foot forward. So, again, just, you know, I understand the frustration. I understand everything that kind of goes into that. You know, and moving forward, I just want to focus on football, making sure that, you know, I'm putting the best product out there, having the best ability. You know, because I thrive off the energy.
4:28I thrive off the energy of the fans. I thrive off the energy of the community. I thrive off all that stuff. You know, I think looking back in my history at Clemson and, you know, previous at the Houston organization, you know, I was a big community guy, big city guy. I'm a big fan guy during the game. So, again, my emotions got the best of me. I'm human. I take full responsibility of that. And just moving forward, I want to make sure that I put the best part up for the team, for the organization, and for the city so we can put a lot of wins and make sure that I celebrate and put Cleveland on the map.
5:04James Harrison:What's up, D-Bone? No, no, no. Listen, Joe, I need to know if we got them clips that I wanted. Do y 'all got the clips, man? Just let me know if y 'all got the clips or not, because I really want to get into Deshaun's comments after the Buffalo game. You're going to backtrack. I just want to see, I just want to remind people, you know, because I know it was, you know, like if we had that, could you please play those couple things right now, please? You know, because when, you know, you say things and it goes on the record. And then a day, two, three later, your feelings, your comments, your words, you get the starting job.
6:00James Harrison:You know, maybe the starting job changed that. But I just want to look and hear what he had to say after the game. Could you guys please play those two clips? Man, I didn't have no reaction. I think the biggest thing is I think you guys know too, and I think the whole world knows it has nothing to do about the performance. It's a little bit personal than that. So I think that's a disrespectful thing. So, yeah, I mean, I'm going to keep whatever I feel with me and my family internally on how I feel about that. And, yeah, just move on. But don't you think, Deshaun, that winning and playing better would eliminate some of that booing?
6:49Last time I played on this field, I tore my Achilles. And that same fan base, they cheered when I got hurt. so does that have to do with anything about performance when a person gets hurt especially for your own city and they cheer does that make you regret coming here no I don't regret anything in my life I think the Lord put me through situations for a reason so I don't regret anything at all but But, you know, I had different thoughts on how it was going to be. But, you know, it is what it is. You know, sometimes, you know, the tables turn. And I'm patient enough because I'm a child of God to, you know, wait for that time to change.
7:36So I'm not tripping on it. I'm not tripping on it.
7:41James Harrison:He's not tripping on it. He's not tripping on it. Hey, could you... No, no, no, no. That was the first one. Okay, so go ahead, Debo. Do what you got to do. I got one more. Can you please play the other one for me? Yeah, you know. First off, I want to address the comments from Saturday after the game. Nah, I want the 17 away games. Oh, that's the other one that he said. Yeah, yeah, Joe. Oh, my God. They don't have that clip. They don't have the clip, but I know what you're saying. when he said that it's going to feel like, if it feels like 17 away games, and that was what he said after the game.
8:27James Harrison:That was what he said after the game, John. Yes, yes. Now, he said he has no regrets. Hey, it sounds like you got regrets. It sounds like you just went out there and apologized for what you said the other day. I think that sounds like a regret to me. Now you understand the frustration. Now you understand everything that goes into it for the fans. That's why, you know, you put a uniform on. That's why you go out there, you know, because of the love of the fans and the city and all that. Hell no, you went out there because they gave you$230 million. you came there because they gave you 230 million ain't nobody going to Cleveland if they ain't giving them 230 million you went out there for the Browns uniform all that
9:28James Harrison:that's what you gotta say I'm so sick and tired of these men not sitting up and standing up for their word stand up on your word Deshaun you ain't regretting nothing you ain't apologize for nothing Debo 230 million guaranteed for. Hey, hey, play that other one now. Play that one. He's all right. First off, I want to address the comments from Saturday after the game. You know, I think just, you know, human nature, just myself being very emotional, putting a lot of time these last two years to, you know, get back and, you know, spend time in this facility, in the city, meeting a lot of different people in the community.
10:19I thought I was going to get a little different response, but I think my emotions got the best of me. My emotions got the best of me. My comments wasn't intending to go at any of the fans around in the city. Damn, I couldn't tell. There's been a lot of great fans that have been supporting me, and I know the frustration this organization has put, you know a lot of investment and coming you know to get me back in uh in 22 and uh and things haven't been going the right direction that we thought it was you know a lot of injuries a lot of time off um and not putting the best football and my foot forward so uh again just you know I understand the frustration I understand everything that kind of goes into that you know and moving forward I just want to focus on football making sure that you know I'm putting the best product out there, having the best ability, you know, because I thrive off the energy.
11:12I thrive off the energy of the fans. I thrive off the energy of the community. I thrive off all that stuff. You know, I think looking back in my history at Clemson and, you know, previous at the Houston organization, you know, I was a big community guy, big city guy, big fan guy, you know, during the game. So, you know, again, my emotions got the best to me. I'm human. I take full responsibility of that. And, you know, just moving forward, I want to make sure that I put the best part up for the team, for the organization, and for the city so we can put a lot of wins and make sure that I celebrate and put Cleveland on the map.
11:47James Harrison:Oh, shit. Hold up. Hey, Joe. That's crazy. That's crazy. Now, you love the city. All that. Joe, I think this might have had something to do with them saying, hey, Deshaun, you starting here. You think that changed his tune, Joe? when you get Debo, you are the last person to act like that because you sometimes, if you don't give you a beat to wait and pause and just react, you're going to say some wild stuff that you don't agree with, that you're going to end up coming back and saying, I'm not going to say it in front of everybody, Joe. Oh, man, hold up, hold up. Actually, I had a second to go ponder on it.
12:22James Harrison:I got to think about it and now, you know what? It doesn't seem as quite as such. Hey, man, stop telling personal business, Joe. You're the first person to sit there. Don't act like that. I'm telling personal business, Joe. when he was saying when he was saying this it's human nature he was in his emotions he's a person so he was speaking and apologizing for when he came out and said that stuff he knew it was wrong but at the same at that very moment he felt that in his emotions he has a right to feel how he feels because he's getting booed he put the training in he put the work in trying to get back trying to do things in the community so as a human he's saying that and that's why he's coming back to apologize because at the end of the day he realized you making$230 million, you can't have that reaction.
13:06James Harrison:You got to still give this second reaction that you did right now saying that it's for the play. You know what I'm saying? They have a reason to be angry. They have a reason to boo because I haven't been giving them reasons to cheer. So I got to put that on myself. You got to take accountability. And that's where with this one, he apologized. If this would have been what he said after the game, smooth. But I feel you, Debo. I get what you're saying, but you, if you do something wrong that day, listen, listen, listen. He's saying just to you, quick, quick man to react. He said some stuff. And at the end of the day, that's how we really felt though.
13:39James Harrison:That's how we felt. That was genuinely how he felt. Cause when you get in your emotions, he's like, man, this is how I feel. I've been working. I'm in training. I'm expecting y 'all to feel a certain type of way. Y 'all still booing me. And he pissed that he played bad. Something like this, man. Bump that. You a professional. You a 30 year old man. You know not to say the quiet part out loud, Joe. That's why I'm telling you, Debo. That's why I'm with you. I'm with you. You got to be a pro to steal. When you hear that booing, when you hear them doing that, no. They have the reasons why they doing it.
14:08James Harrison:You know why they doing it. Yeah, Debo. You know why they doing it. It ain't about my performance, though. It's more personal than that, he said. You got to stand up and say, I know y 'all put this investment on me. I've been here for three years, and you guys haven't got the same player that you got in Houston. I've been hurt, the injuries. You got to know. Let me get help. Give me another four years. Listen, Debo, you got to have that realization in yourself to know I'm in the National Football League. These people are watching me get paid. In the offseason, I'm moving. I get to do what I want.
14:38James Harrison:My earrings, my watches. I live a life of luxury. And everybody sees it. And it's cool because I played the game and I'm making$40 million a year. But when I'm out here for the Cleveland Browns, they haven't got any type of that performance. So when I'm getting booed, it's because I'm making that bag and I'm not giving them a star performance out there. I'm not playing like the franchise quarterback I was paid to play. So emotions and all, take that to the chin because you know why they're doing it for real. So that's why he came out the second one. Oh, that's why he came out. I apologized on it because he's like this.
15:15James Harrison:That's what I should have did the first day because now I'm giving them how I really feel what's going on. But at the end of the day, Deshaun, that don't matter. It is what it is. You're still making the money. You signed the contract. You haven't been playing that well. You've been getting hurt. The Browns fans, all they see from you is you haven't been out there, and when you are out there, you're not playing like you were in Houston. So they're pissed. Boom. Period. Like, if you're out there throwing tutties, I've never seen a touchdown been passed, been thrown in Cleveland Stadium, and they boo.
15:44James Harrison:That will never happen. We will be going crazy in there. Every tutty. Y 'all don't have too many touchdowns in that stadium. Man, shut your mouth, D-Bo. Because that's what I'm saying. I'm just saying. If you're going to get booed in the Brown Stadium, it's because of what the product that you're putting out there is. I don't like this tone. I don't like this tone you're taking with me, Joe. You're getting real aggressive. No, no, no. I'm just telling you how it is. I'm just telling you how it is right now. Because you know. The crazy part is, you know that what I'm saying. I mean, we had a lot of touchdowns in the Brown Stadium.
16:10James Harrison:We had celebration, too. No, we all scored. It would be quiet in there. What are you talking about? You saw a lot of them. They want us. The Browns fans. Browns fans. They want good product on the football field. Yeah. They don't give it. They just want good football. If you can give them good football. We give them good football. It's just the other team. Us. Shut your mouth. I'm talking about the Browns right now, D-Bo. Why you keep doing that? I'm just telling you. You say you want good football. Like, hey, just look at the other side. Just look at the other team you're playing against. That's all we want.
16:45James Harrison:All we want is productive play. All we want, and then what I'm saying with Deshaun is, it's not just 1-11th, Deshaun. Do your 1-11th. The quarterback, we just want a quarterback to be out there and be consistent. 1-11th. Okay. I got you. I understand. I understand what you're saying. They made him start it. He had to go apologize. Had to. Anyway. Had to. Because if you say something crazy, Debo, what do you got to go apologize? You missed the fast to react. Listen, listen. When you pause, when you pause, Debo, you come back and ask you like, you a real good thing. I understand that, Joe. But I don't go and stand in front of all the media and say the stuff I say to you on that knee-jerk reaction.
17:31James Harrison:Because we don't have to show instantly. If we had to show live when things was going on, I don't know. I'm going to retain that. I'm going to retain that. I'm going to stop. I'ma know I got the mic on. You know how when you get the mic on, you tell everybody, hey, hot mic. Hot mic. Don't say nothing goofy, man. Hot mic. That would be me. I know how to control that when it's levels. It's levels to this, Joe. He should be at that level. 230 million, you should be at that level. Yes. And that's why he went back and apologized because I'm saying you got to be more careful. You got to just chill. Take that on the chin.
18:10James Harrison:You know what it is. Go out there, hit him a couple back, shoulder fades. win the game, and they are going to be cheering. For sure, for sure. But let's go on over here and see what the college football got going on because LSU head coach Lane Kitten, he defended his approach to recruiting former NFL players after news broke that your ex-Brown tight end is fine right to transfer to LSU. Other teams, other players on other teams. So, you know, we have... On the new podcast, Solita, We share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman. 18:52I chose option B. I'm Julie Pinheiro and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first. I'm on a mission to reclaim the word solita, trading the pity for possibility. Every time I tried to be alone, I kept meeting people and they were like, you smiled at us. Not a lot of people smile around here. It's when you're alone that you're most receptive to the world as it is and not the lies you're sold about it. 20:42Our town is small taters by most standards, right? but to the people who grew up here, it's everything. What happens when a quiet Tennessee town becomes the front line in a battle over the future of America? Developers with right-wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land in the area. The first thing you see when it pops up is pioneers in Appalachia. But they weren't just planting houses. We need cities on a shining hill that exemplify and embody the Christian way of life. Stop right there. Is that normal? A podcast about what happens when a small town becomes the site of a social experiment.

22:08guests like sarah sherman not that great actually can you help me can you help me shape this yeah how about we flip it on his head okay how about we flip the script okay what is the surprise woman actually you think is the straight man is actually the one who's acting weird adam scott this entire time you've been expecting adam sandler to come to visit the show i i would never let go I would never set expectations for something like that to happen. If the universe allows for something like that to happen, I'm open to it. I'm always going to accept. You know, Danny McBride, fine. Yeah, it's all this fragile masculinity exuding.
22:53I could smell it walking down the hallway, to be honest with you. I was like, is that weed? Nope, it's fragile masculinity. Ben Stiller, no. Because a lot of times out of context, people don't get it or even know what a circle is. You know what I mean? Like, oh, what's a state? Everyone's so dumb except for you. Right. Fake and also not interested or just like, oh, I've got my life. I don't care about your life. And a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us. Oh, and by the way, Will Ferrell told us personally he loves the show and he wants to be a guest on every episode.
23:28But he's just so busy. Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
23:59to the latest episode of Hey Jonas on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. You know, made a decision to recruit some kids around the country. And through these multiple injunctions around the country, which this is not a first time, they've been in college sports for a while, a group of players were granted a fifth year of eligibility around the country in multiple sports. and through them winning their injunction and entry into the portal, they're available to recruit. And so ourselves, like many places around the country, are recruiting them. And at the end of the day, you know, because of these rulings, they're either going to play for you or they're going to play somewhere else around the country.
24:49So we've made a decision to recruit them like probably most people are.
24:56James Harrison:Joe, Joe, let me ask you, hey, if they don't play for you, you got to play against them. I'd rather play with them. Listen, I ain't going to lie. I made like I was mad. I ain't mad. You ain't mad. If it's legal, it is. You know you do what you got to do. You do what you got to do. Don't hate the player. Hate the game. That's what you got to do. The Tampa Bay edge rusher, what is it, Jack Pyburn? Yes. Who secured a three-year,$3.1 million deal with the Bucs will also receive approval for a fifth season. Admitted, he remains uncertain on the timeline for choosing between sticking in the NFL or returning to college.

25:39Listen, Joe, the money they're paying in college right now for one year and they want him to do three?
25:45James Harrison:He could get that one. Hey, if they allow you to do it, you better go ahead and take yourself back until they get enough sense to stop it. Like the SEC just did. Look at this, Joe. Put that up there for me, please. There we go. They said after a Monday evening video conference of the presidents and chancellors of the Southeast Conference, the FCC, the conference is issuing the following statement. College athletes, not former professional athletes, have been at the heart of the Southeastern Conference individuals. Sorry, Eastern Conference. Individuals who choose to leave college athletics, sign professionally, plan contracts, and commit professionally should not then be permitted to return to college competition.
26:42James Harrison:Allowing that to occur will blur the line between college and professional sports, create significant competition equity concerns, and reduce opportunities for high school and current college athletes. College sports are for college athletes. The current confusion around national eligibility standards emphasizes the need to advance the protect College Sports Act. What the hell is that? Anyway, so I guess they're putting their foot in the line. And the SEC said, hey, once you leave, ain't no coming back. You signed a professional contract, you can't come back here. The Big Ten look like they about to do the same thing.
27:38James Harrison:What's my dude named? Pete right here? Big Ten went harder. Big Ten said it is set to, well, sources say the Big Ten is set to pass a rule today that doesn't allow players to return from the NFL and play for a Big Ten school. anyone who has declared for the NFL draft, if you declare and do not withdraw, appear on an NFL roster or sign a contract with a pro league, cannot be a Big Ten, cannot be on a Big Ten roster. Joe. Yes. What do you think, Joe? I like this. I love it. What do you think? Ebo, look, it's going to keep on. This is the one thing that's happening. This is happening for the 2022 class.
28:25James Harrison:So they literally, them dudes, they had four years eligibility and now it's just the fifth year option is available. So they, it's only for a couple of, it's only for the players that were in the 2022 and they said that they were, you didn't have, they didn't have another year of eligibility. They didn't have a chance to decide if they wanted to stay in school or go to the draft. So with the, with these guys, with the, they only have four years. They went, debated on that and they gave them a fifth year option. So the people that maybe would have still stayed in college, but they didn't have a choice because they didn't have a fifth year.
28:57James Harrison:Now they get a chance to come back. So these are the dudes that ended up getting cut from the teams just from this class that had four years of eligibility. So it's that last year. So it's happening one time. And I'm with Lane Kiffin, too. Lane Kiffin, the SEC, they can say this. But if they have their fifth year eligibility, unless it's real live rules, Lane Kiffin is going to laugh, hang up the phone on the head of the SEC. SEC, Big Ten, they can say what they want, but it's like they don't have no set NCAA head body that can push these rules official. SEC can try to suspend Lane Kiffin maybe or do some stuff like that, but if there's no real rules, these kids are available with their fifth-year option.
29:37James Harrison:So, like Lane's saying, don't hate the player. You ain't going to be able to do nothing. These dudes have fifth-year eligibility. Say they played for the Browns. They got cut. They came back. They're in here. This is bigger than this. This is like, it's just showing college football. You're a professional league. You're sitting there, keep on trying to act like you don't have, like it's not a business anymore. You keep trying to act like you're worried about, oh, they're collegiates. They're not collegiates. You got dudes leaving NFL to come back to college because they're paying more bread. What are you talking about?
30:11James Harrison:So it's like, this is going to be a whole situation where the SEC, people are going to be starting to try to sue. if they're not going to let these people come back, there's a fifth-year option. So it's not going to be like a lot, like if you weren't in this class of 2022, you just can't leave the NFL and then come back to college and try to act like you're playing. It's only set people that can do that, that have their fifth-year eligibility to come back and do it. So with those dudes, they're going to be like, yes, the NCAA, you don't have a set body. Big 10, you can say what you want to say.
30:39James Harrison:SEC, you can say what you want to say. But Lane Kiffin, if there's no set rules, legitimate that you're going to try to get in force, The players are going to be like, no, I'm going to – I have a fifth-year option. I'm coming back. Lane Kiffin is like, there's no rules here. Hang up on the SEC, commissioner, because y 'all are trying to act like they're college students. No. Y 'all have now – They are college students, Joe. The college – they're in the league. They are college students now, Joe. They are college students. They're in the league. They're in the league. You got 18, 19-year-old kids that are getting paid money, man.
31:09James Harrison:Listen, this is what it comes down to. They can do it, and the SEC done said, hey, this is what we're going to do. Big Ten said, hey, this is what we're looking at doing. And on top of that, if they really want to cut it off and cut it off at the head, the NFL, all they got to say is once you come here, if you go back to college, you cannot come back to the NFL. You will not be picked up. That's our rule. NFL could do that. There it goes. But I'm saying for college, they got to figure out how they're going to control it. NFL, we have a commissioner. We have a legit joint. NFL can control it by just making that statement.
31:47James Harrison:Because now you know, if I'm leaving, I'm leaving. Ain't no A, let me leave and then come back for a fifth year if I don't make it. Hell no. Ain't no coming back. If you leave the NFL, what that got there? If you come pro to the NFL and you go back to college. Because you got, but what if you go back to college? You go back to college. Make a rule that you will not allow you to pay. Because you got cut. What about you go back to college because you got cut? You got cut. You go ahead and you figure out how you doing it. How you going to get back into it. I'm not then to go allow you to go back.
32:18James Harrison:Yeah, that's what I'm saying. These players from the Browns, he got chopped. Right. He got chopped. He got one more year left of eligibility. You took your chance to shoot it. You didn't make it. You should have stayed your ass in there and went on ahead and came out next year. You didn't. Not the class of 2022, though. What if these dudes didn't have an option to play their fifth year eligibility? They just played four years and they're like this. You don't have a fifth year. You gotta get up out of here You gotta leave They didn't want to go to the NFL Their draft class Their stock wasn't that high If they would've had a fifth year They would've stayed in school If you don't have a fifth year You don't have a fifth year But now That's what I'm saying They went and fought For a fifth year And then the court Said that now Oh yeah Since it was COVID Or something like that The 2022 class You get a fifth year So now they're like Okay bet Like I didn't have to go Because I didn't have a choice to stay So now I have my choice of my fifth year.
33:13James Harrison:I want to come back. That's what it's looking like. You cannot allow this because you set a precedent. Now, what happens when the guy that goes and doesn't make it? Ah, you know what? I miss eight games my freshman year. I need that fifth year back. You can't allow it. You're going to set a precedent and this will be a running train of guys going back for a fifth year that get cut so they could go take money from other cats, scholarships, cats that might actually just be there to try and get a damn education. Stop it, bro. You go and you jump. You take a grown man jump to come into the NFL. You weigh out those decisions, and you go and you don't make it?
33:57James Harrison:Now you want to try and backdoor because you ain't make it? Yeah. You ain't coming back. You can't come back into the puppy mill after you done been out here with the big dogs.
34:11James Harrison:I hear you, but no. It ain't happening, man. It's crazy. It's just, bro, it's crazy to even allow. You can't allow it. You can't allow it. If you allow it, it's going to open up the floodgates. Period. Do you not? Do you not allow it? Just like the gambling thing with the boy, Salmsbury, whatever that dude is. No, you can't do that. It ain't happening. We ain't feeling sorry for you. You got an addiction. Okay, well, we go see how bad your addiction is and how much you want to recover and replay from and do everything you want to do. You go show us, but you go be sitting your ass. If they have age, though, Debo, if they still under, like, if they still haven't played their fifth year and they not, there's no age limit.
34:54James Harrison:He 22, Joe!
35:00James Harrison:Yeah, but they get, it's different. I love when you stutter. You paying. This is what I'm trying to say. We got to take out the... Take out what, man? You're taking away opportunities from other kids. You had your opportunity. You got four years. It's for money now. You had your opportunity, Joe. You got four years. If we're just saying it's money. And listen, if we're just saying it's money and for the money, fuck college. Fuck the education. Get rid of it. Let's play ball. Yes. That's not what it's for.
35:37James Harrison:LSU's team is... Tell that to the college. They have a$50 million roster. They have a$50 million roster. Tell that to every college that, you know what? The hell with the education. We want a ball. It's ball. We don't care about education. You don't even need to go to class. Just come and get paid. That's basically what the hell. That's yes. That's what's going on. I hear you trying to make it feel like they're going to school. Man, you are tripping, bruh. You are tripping. You telling me. Everybody don't go to the league, bruh. The dude that just left. Everybody don't go to the league. It's your son.
36:09James Harrison:He's coming in. They gave him a scholarship to Florida. Now, old 23-year-old Joe Blow come back and they take your son's scholarship. How you feel then? It's a business. They getting paid to play. If they got a player that's coming to the school that they're going to pay. Just as strictly business to go make money. It is. Not to get an education so that if he doesn't make it, he has an opportunity to go out here and be a person that could benefit and give something to society because he has knowledge and he's learned something. I'm not knocking that. I'm not knocking that. What are you talking about?
36:50James Harrison:We'll get a scholarship. We'll get an academic scholarship there then. So academic scholarships are paid too now. For sports right now, it's a business. It's about making money. These teams are trying to give a$50 million scholarship. But if you're going to make it a pure business, it can't be at a college university. It's not. For education, for higher money. That's what I'm trying to tell you now, Debo. That's what I'm trying to tell you now. College sport, college football, college basketball. It has changed. So you're saying, hey, just come for the NIL. You don't get a scholarship. That's basically what you're telling me.
37:27James Harrison:When you keep saying the dudes want to go to the NFL and they go there, here's a three-year contract. They're signing with the Tampa Bay. Three years,$3.1 million. You're telling me he's just going back to college so he can get his damn education where he can go make that in one year? It's about the money. He's going back to get the money. Right. And if I don't allow you to do that and make big boy decisions to take your ass to the NFL and you don't make it, you can't come back. I hear you, though, but I'm still saying. That's real money. That's not about no damn education. So a kid that's going to go to you do the same decisions.
37:59James Harrison:Just like when you come out early. Yes, because I knew I was going to go first round and go get paid. OK, so what if you play professional? A lot of guys that come out, don't go first round. It's guys that have been back in the day that you can look and see where Mel Kiper talking about. He's a first or second and nigga don't even get drafted. That's that's that. That's a big boy decision where you have to go with you. You can go. If you have eligibility, stick with it. Stop trying to use the court system and all this win-bam, bull-spap to get another opportunity because you couldn't make it over here.
38:33James Harrison:I'm going to be— Man up! Don't hate the player. Hate the game. It's college football's fault. I'm not— Don't blame the kids. Don't blame the kids. I understand that. And that's why they're changing the rules to the game. It's the higher-ups. It's not— That's why they're changing the rules to the game. That's why the SEC put out what they put out. That's why the big team is— They put it out, but guess what? They ain't going to be able to do nothing for real. What you want to bet? They stopped old boy from coming back after the gambling. And they didn't even have to get the rule. All the conferences got together.
39:02James Harrison:All the ADs got together. If you get the fifth year. Danny, come over there at Nebraska, said, hey, we ain't doing it. We ain't playing nobody. If y 'all go have this boy playing, we ain't doing it. SEC is going to open. Big old boy got you. You won't be able to get into the playoffs. SEC, say what they want to say. playoffs. You can't do nothing with that. Because this is who you want to bring back on your roster? Bring him on your roster. You'll be playing for whatever your 10 weeks is and you ain't got a chance for a national championship. So all that bonus money, those incentives that you got in your contract, Lane, you ain't getting shit.
39:38James Harrison:Lane Kiffin. Let's see how much the SEC can really enforce that when Lane Kiffin is only playing to the rules that they let. When dudes get there, when they got their fifth year option back, Lane Kiffin is still signing this player. So SEC, you go ahead and say what you want to say. And then... Not if he can't make it to the playoffs, Joe. Okay. That's what we want to see. Not if they stop you from being able to go to the playoffs. Not if these ADs, not if... Listen, all this is... I understand what you're saying. The rule is the rule. That's what I'm saying. They had the dude and he said, hey, you can come back.
40:09James Harrison:The judge said this. And then the AD said what? We ain't gonna play y 'all schools. On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman. I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I chose option B.
40:48It's when When you're alone, that you're most receptive to the world as it is and not the lies you're sold about it. It can be a time where you push your limits, change your mind or wake up to a new version of yourself. So whether you're a solo travel veteran or you're too nervous to book your first trip, I hope you listen to Solita on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. 41:33Like when my friend Henry Winkler offered advice to aspiring actors and really anybody hoping to stand out. You're not hired just to fill time and space. You're hired to fill the space with you. You have something in your guts.
41:49James Harrison:You go with it. And Shawn Johnson recalled the moment she realized her now husband, Andrew, was the one. He was just so unapologetically himself and knew nothing of Hollywood. He hadn't been on a plane before without his family. It was so pure. Listen to Joy 101 with Hoda Kotb on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
42:35Pioneers in Appalachia. But they weren't just planting houses. We need cities on a shining hill that exemplify and embody the Christian way of life. Stop right there. Is that normal? A podcast about what happens when a small town becomes the site of a social experiment. God need men to rule. Great. And decides to fight back. Do not use my hard work to sell your bulls**t. They're not just opposing what's being planned for here. Our hometown is not a test tube. They feel like they're standing in opposition to an entire administration. Guess you didn't move in on a bunch of dumb hillbillies now, did you?
43:12Listen to Our Town on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, this is Hayes Davenport. And Sean Clements. We host the podcast Hollywood Handbook on the Big Money Players Network. Our show is extremely accessible to first-time listeners. Each week, we talk to someone in show business, a.k.a. The Biz, and try to help them with their careers and see what they have to offer us. Everyone has a good time and no one gets mad at their publicist for letting them do our show. We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman. Not that great. Actually, can you help me shape this?
43:48How about we flip it on his head? How about we flip the script? What if the surprise woman who actually you think is the straight man is actually the one who's acting weird? Adam Scott. This entire time, you've been expecting Adam Sandler to come to visit the show. I would never let go of that. I would never set expectations for something like that to happen. If the universe allows for something like that to happen, I'm open to it. I'm always going to accept. You know, Danny McBride, fine. Yeah, it's all this fragile masculinity exuding. I could smell it walking down the hallway, to be honest with you.
44:29I was like, is that weed? Nope. It's fragile masculinity. Ben Stiller, no. Because a lot of times, out of context, people don't get it or even know what a circle is. You know what I mean? Like, they're like, oh, what's a state? Everyone's so dumb except for you. And fake. Right, fake and also not interested or just like, oh, I've got my life. I don't care about your life. And a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us. Oh, and by the way, Will Ferrell told us personally he loves the show and he wants to be a guest on every episode, but he's just so busy. Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
45:08Did you hear the new episode of the Hey Jonas podcast? We are at D23, so we'll see who stops by. The cast of Frozen stopped by. Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, and Idina Menzel. I auditioned for Frozen. What? For Kristoff. They said, okay, what are you going to be singing today? I said, I don't know. That must have been why you didn't get it. Oh, you probably won. Plus, John Stamos, Hayden Christensen from Star Wars, and more. And I guess I can share that. No way. Listen to the latest episode of Hey Jonas on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
45:40James Harrison:Uh-oh. He stepped down. Let me back up. He got to go. School said he got to go. We can't do that. You're going to have a situation, if need be, that will turn out like that. But it's a lot of messed up things going on in this world. I mean, look at the court documents revealed from the 49ers owner, Jed York. Oh, Lord. A, responded to an ad on a known prostitution website in Columbia County, Ohio, and arranged sexual activities with a female in exchange for$140. Look, Joe, look at their photos, bro.
46:19James Harrison:That's a lot of money,$140. Shut up, man. Hey, Joe. Oh, man. Five, eight and a half got him looking. Bruh. So I guess he was taken into custody at the law enforcement agent from Mahoin County Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. So this was part of a trafficking task force thing that they had going on. determined that York had in his possession a cellular device which was used to arrange the criminal act. Okay, I got it now. So that's what they were saying. So he got two days in jail in order to pay$1 ,150 in fines. The NFL said in a statement that the league is aware of the matter, which will be reviewed under the personal conduct policy, Joe.
47:16James Harrison:From my understanding, according to a USA Today article, it was arrested during the regular prostitution stain aimed at combating human trafficking in the Ohio Valley region. he ended up pleading to no contest to two misdemeanor charges disorderly conduct and passing criminal tools i guess that's the cell phone he used you know after initial charge of engaging in prostitution was reduced east palestine joe is where they had that trained derailment of all those toxic chemicals and the big cleaning process. I mean, Joe, you want to talk about toxic masculinity? I mean, this right here is toxic. I mean, this is crazy.
48:10James Harrison:I mean, like, dude, this is toxic on a new level. You said, you know what? I want to risk my health and everything else, and I want to go get some of that toxic. Wow. You know? Like, literally toxic. Yeah, I can't eat. I don't understand a joke. I understand a joke. Yeah, yeah. He out there, yep, yep, yep. Got caught up. He out there wilding, D-Bo. You know, can't all the way from the other side? For 140? You should have, man, what? Yeah, man. He got caught out there slipping on his pimping. Bruh, that's wild. Yeah, man. He got to be more. Got to, got to. Yeah. You know that. What's going to happen, man?
48:53James Harrison:What's the personal conduct rule? What can they do? Man. Huh? They gave Deshaun for, I don't even think he got anything. He didn't. Or whatever it was. He had a bunch of them, but he had a lot of accusations. But they gave him what, a year or something, wasn't it? A game? Nine games a year. They gave him a year? I thought they gave him a year. How long did they give it, Watson? 11. 11? 11. They gave him 11 games. Yep. So that was, that's a lot of money. Oh, nope. That was the year they made his contract a million, right? Man, he still got, he still got, yeah, no. I'm here. Yeah, they. Not only there, they made his salary that year a million.
49:31James Harrison:So he ain't, yeah, they made his base a million, so he ain't really there. The rest was into a bonus. They helped him out on that. But what you think they're going to do? I don't know. I don't know. I'm going to see what's going on. You know, Kraft got basically the same junk. What did Robert Kraft get? I don't know. He got a oh he got a massage. I know that. Oh, you mean like what happened? I don't know. I thought he had a massage. That's where it is, D-Bo. It's like these dudes okay, for one thing it's on the personal, alright where they are they got their own situation going on. They're married out here.
50:14James Harrison:Then they got the prostitution going on which is illegal. so then the Leeds is going to stay out the way of the messiness but then they like man they out here okay got caught up in the same thing I mean if you want to stay out the way of the messiness I mean they want to stay out the way of some messiness I mean they had some other messiness going on over there in New England too that they stayed out the way of so I don't even know you know a lot of people stayed out the way of that I can't even yeah you know what I'm saying like ain't nobody said nothing nobody want to say nothing and I understand why nobody want to say that like you know a lot of people live in glass houses you only be throwing rocks you know what I'm saying?
50:45James Harrison:I ain't throwing no rocks. Hey, I don't hate you. You know Nato? I don't know Nato. Let the law go ahead and take it down. We just gave, wait, look, I'm just reporting the news. Hey, that's all we trying to do. That's all. I'm a joke. I'm just joking. I'm a joke. I'm a joke. I'm a joke. Man, I don't even know. Allegedly. You know what I'm saying? So that's all I'm saying. It's not even too much a legend because he was five, eight and a half standing there in the orange joint. He was five and a half. people chill people chill that boy said what look like I got to pay for this crazy work oh man listen here bro you got the supers man man let's jump in the super chats man

You guys are crazy in a good way. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Welcome, J. Yes, yes. D-Dub, go ahead. What you think, D-Bo? I'm trying to ask who is D-Dub. Deshaun Watson. That's D-Dub. Yep. Will impact TV views? I think it will. They're going to want to see what he's going to do. I think either way it go All action is good action They want to see what Deshaun going to look like If Shadour going to get in So we going I want to see Deshaun go out there How is he playing?
52:20James Harrison:Because then we going to be like Should he still stay the starter? Is Shadour going to get in? Is he shining? Is he stepping up? So I want to watch Everybody going to want to see I think the view is going to be all the way up Because it's a real like You got a starting quarterback That's coming back trying to prove himself and then it's whenever something starts going crazy with this joint, people want to see Shador. They want to see him when he's going to get in. He's going to start playing. So it's a little bit of both. Hey. It's going to be lit. It's six and one hand, half a dozen and the other.
52:49James Harrison:Come on. That's 12. You can't go wrong. The views still going to be there no matter what. I'm locked in. No matter what. Every game. Everybody going to be. You got to be. 55:01James Harrison:That man Jet was trying to get back to this community. He fell for the okie-doke ad on the corner. Yep. That boy, he double-clicked on the wrong, popped out on his screen. Oh, hold up. Hey. Oh. Hey, man. That man is crazy. Look here, bro. We got some games popping up here on Thursday, brother. What we got right here. We got the Browns. Yeah. Man. Yes, sir. This is the last preseason game before we get into the battle of putting our hands on every team in the NFL and coming away.
56:11James Harrison:Uh-huh. Uh-huh. until I can't wait for week one, but I can't wait for week four. When we get to really, I think week four is going to be the, week four is going to be the. What's week four, Joe? Don't say that stupid. You know what time it is. Steelers, Browns, Thursday night football. What that mean? What that mean? In Cleveland. What that mean, Joe? What that mean? What? For Kristoff. They said, okay, what, are you going to be singing today? I said, I don't know. That must have been why you didn't get it. Oh, you probably won. Plus, John Stamos, Hayden Christensen from Star Wars, and more. And I guess I can share that, uh... No way. 58:41Hey, this is Hayes Davenport. and Sean Clements. We host the podcast Hollywood Handbook. Each week, we talk to someone in show business and try to help them with their careers and see what they have to offer us. Everyone has a good time and no one gets mad at their publicist for letting them do our show. We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman, Adam Scott, Danny McBride, Ben Stiller, and a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us. Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. On the new podcast, Solita, We share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman.
59:15I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I chose option B. I'm on a mission to reclaim the word solita, trading the pity for possibility. Listen to Solita on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
