In short
Steelers/QB debates and NFL roster/contract talk. Hosts discuss whether Aaron Rodgers (age 42) is being unfairly blamed for early offensive struggles, arguing the real issue is the offensive line and execution (protection, run game, and routine catches). They also debate Deshaun Watson’s situation and Todd Monken’s offensive plan, plus how teams handle quarterback decisions when injuries/contract deadlines approach. They further cover Steelers CB Joey Porter Jr. contract rumors (offer “just north of $27M,” possible $33M guaranteed rumor) and whether the player should accept or seek a trade.
Guests
None. The episode is hosted by “Deebo & Joe” (plus occasional superchat callers/comments), with no named guest interviewees.
Key claims
Rodgers isn’t “too old”; scheme and “platforms” matter, and McCarthy is condensing the playbook. Watson is playing well enough to justify keeping him; contract cap/franchise-tag constraints loom.
Notable examples
mention Rodgers’ strip sack and two bad sacks; Steelers scoring only one TD in two games; Devontae Adams routine toe-taps/dig conversions; Kyler Murray concussion cleared vs Tampa; Carson Wentz 20/39, 276 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT.

Behind the scenes, taking care of all the hard stuff, so you have the confidence to keep moving.
2:33Learn more at Geico.com. Okay, boom. Clear cut. He plays the first game. It's not a great game. Like he didn't, he threw the pick, you know what I'm saying? He got a strip sack so that people have reason to ask questions about, okay, how much longer is it going to be out there? After the last game, you can say now, oh, yeah, it's funny how y 'all want to ask. Because you were saying you can't really guarantee if he was going to be able to start after that. So it is based on performance. So you won't be getting questions about Deshaun. I'm not asking if Deshaun was going to start after that game.
3:05Because after that second game, that was a good game by Deshaun. He played really, really well. It was an offensive line. It was some running backs missing stuff. It was Denzel Boston. If he would have caught that, he got three tutties for 260 yards. You know what I'm saying? I'm like, Deshaun, that's perfect ball. We can win with that football. So I'm like, that's why I was like, coach, don't think we're not asking questions about the quarterback for no reason. Like, now it's all funny you can come in here and say that because he played well and we're not pressing it. It's good. Deshaun, look well.
3:36Please continue this and continue to move forward so we don't have to be asking you about what's our quarterback position looking like. Yeah, definitely. Hey, Joe. Yes. You know, my daddy, man, before he passed, man, he used to tell me, you always look a man in the eye before you kill him. And I got to ask you a question. I want to look you in your eye. Yes. So say Todd Monken is right, and Deshaun gets better, and he plays better throughout the year, and he gets better each game and y 'all fans actually start to back him. He's playing well. He's making plays. Matter of fact, looks like he may make some type of all pro.
4:25Everything is going great, Joe. Season's over with. So, can you tell me, Joe, what are y 'all going to do in the process of trying to figure out if y 'all or if you would keep this quarterback who just got y 'all into the playoffs, maybe got y 'all a game away from an AFC championship game. What are y 'all going to do when it comes time for him to leave? Because this is last year in the contract. Are you in a position now where you got to sit there, as I told y 'all? this is why I'm hoping he goes good. So I can see what y 'all got to do. If y 'all got to give this man another 230 or more, because right now, if he goes and does this and he gets like an all pro or something like that, Joe, and he goes and does playoffs and he gets him a couple of wins, Joe, that's 50.
5:29Debo, James. Hey, hey, hey, and here's the crazy thing. I think this is really, backfiring on y 'all because your owner really wanted to get the young Manning over there in Texas and he was hoping Deshaun would play bad. But Deshaun is ruining his plans right now.
5:53That's all, Joe. What do you think, Joe? What'd that go do? Deshaun's, in June of next season, Deshaun Watson is going to be, is going to be$87 million to the cap if we don't let him go by June 1st. I hear what you're saying. After that$230 million, I don't see. I will be so glad for Deshaun Watson because he showed that he can be a franchise quarterback for another team. I think that he will be able to. Somebody else will have to pay him. I'm glad that he would be able, because I don't think Deshaun Watson would want to really be in Cleveland. I don't think, I think the, it's not, it's not here.
6:41Not here. After the 230. 87. What? Make you, I'd go to, I'd go to everywhere but hell for 87.
6:52No? Well, look, if worse, worse comes to worse, worse comes to worse.
7:01I don't even think we can franchise I don't even know if in this contract I don't think we could tag him either so yeah that's why you don't put him out there Joe no no no no you put him out there because you actually if you really think that you're going to for the Haslams you already paid him 200 million you got another what was it 230 something mil and he has only 40 left this year on the deal so if you're going to go do me something let me see if I can get the best out of you and if you can, like you said, go to the playoffs do whatever you can, okay, we ended up it didn't work, but now we're not going to, we can't continue to pay that, or we, no no, I don't think so, brother okay Joe what's when, you know, it is what it is you know, you do what you say, we say but look here man, let's go on over here we have an anonymous NFL exec blasted the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers For being too old.
7:59What did you expect? He's 42. Can't do it anymore. Never thought that would work anyway. Why don't you say your name? You exact... Joe. Yo. What do you think, man? You think he... Is this any... Is there any credibility to this? You think... Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Not one chance. He tripping, right? He tripping. I would tell you this. A-Rod, at the same, 42 years old, obviously, but you cannot tell me that his arm talent isn't better than everybody, all the other quarterbacks we have on our team. A-Rod's mental. I would say most of the time, if we don't get any time for him to be blocking all these damn bootlegs and people are getting pushed all the way into the backfield, that's not going to work if our run game isn't hitting.
8:57And now when we're talking to Mike McCarthy, he's saying we can't be no real dink and dunk. We have to be able to set up some concepts to be able to get down the field. That's not the way it's going to work. So it's only game two. We see our offense. We only scored one touchdown in two games. So Mike McCarthy is definitely understanding him and A-Rod know something got to give. The offense is looking trash. I don't think personally if A-Rod, he took two bad sacks and he got a strip sack. And then I think that he tried to escape the pocket one time. And I'm like, A-Rod, you're not fast. You know what I'm saying?
9:29Just stay in there a little bit more. Throw it away. There was just two runs. I don't care. Offensive line, period. You can't say this with the offensive line we got. No, no, no. I'm saying it's two plays. The offensive line, a lot of plays they mess up. But I can say as a quarterback, Graydon, I'm like, you could have did a little bit more pocket press on this one. Just two plays. Like, A-Rod, there's no – it's okay. You can make mistakes also. You know what I'm saying? Not like he's the main factor, but I'm saying there's only two plays out there. I saw A-Rod that you could have stayed in the pocket just a little bit better and would have helped you out or to protect the ball when he stripped it out of there.
10:08That's just you trying to escape with the ball in one hand. You know what I'm saying? I don't, I don't, I'm not, I'm not willing to put any good measure of this on A-Rod. It's not an end. Even Mike, he told reporters, he said, we've got to give Aaron better platforms to throw off of. I don't want to dink and dunk all day and play keep away football. There's a place for that, maybe situationally, but that's not the philosophy. So he knows that we have and he has an issue. We have an issue. We've all got an issue. It's the damn offensive line. um the same thing you know early in their uh in the year uh or through to uh training camp where they were trying to put together so many different combinations now they're like you know what that that might have been he's saying now that probably was a bad idea like we need to get one combination together so that we can give them some time together because it was a a good number of stuff where cats was just running free they weren't even you know getting to a dude they weren't they weren't franning out to get to it and he said he had to uh condense and and you know um condensed the playbook to make it simpler.
11:19So for you as whoever this exec is to just be like, it's all Aaron. He's old. He can't do it. You're crazy. Did you see some of those throws that he made? Yeah, he made some bad throws, but all quarterbacks do. But for him to just lay it all on Aaron crazy, like who do you think go come in there? You go have Mason or Will or Allard do better with the line that we have? You have no. Hell no. That's why I'm not. I'm with you a thousand percent. It's going to be A-Rod, and we're going to have to figure it out with the scheme, him and Mike McCarthy understanding. And playmakers got to be able to make plays.
11:55All kinds of lines, like you said, it starts there. If we can't run, if we can't block for A-Rod, it don't matter who's back there being the quarterback. You're going to get hit upside the head, and they're knowing that they're not respecting the run game. So we got to get that in check. And then when we get the ball to our receiver's hands, we got to catch it. We got to make plays. We got to start actually making people miss. Bernard, did you see that? He looked like the best receiver. We kept going. He was getting open and he was catching the ball. Combat catches across the middle. Like, you got to make the routine things routinely.
12:31Like, when you see Devontae Adams in those dudes, you're not expecting. A lot of those toe taps, those dig passes, Those are tips. Those are drops. Those are first down conversions. Those are touchdowns that are just routine because that's what you do on offense. It looks like, oh, no, that's a crazy play. No, that's what he expects to do because he's Devontae Adams. He gets paid$30 million a year, and you're in the NFL. Like, that's what we – we're expected to do crazy things, but that's not crazy. Like, if you don't convert those plays, then you're like, hold on. That's when it starts looking weird.
13:04People are questioning you. People aren't questioning you. Because the normal, there's never a question when you're coming across the middle and you're just plucking the ball out the air. You're catching with your hand. You're professional. That's what you do. You're supposed to be the one at your spot. That's what you do. It's like watching bowling and you see a dude that don't bowl at 200. A professional bowler that don't bowl at 200, that's crazy. Yes. That's what you do. That's what you do. If somebody in the backyard, if there's somebody at the beach and you throw him a fade ball and he drops, he don't know how to go over the shoulder.
13:35That's not what he do. No question. Like your boy over there that was over there at the beach. Dude, making like you were playing San Francisco. Oh, your boy Love. Your boy Love. Wrong leg. You don't know how to run the post. And you catching it over the wrong shoulder. You don't know what to do. Hey, Joe, man. You ain't nothing, man. You ain't nothing, man. Hey, so now it's being reported that the Steelers did offer Joey Porter Jr. your contract. They're saying it was leaked that was just north of$27 million. So, the report, of course, yeah, it would have been a significant raise over his $3.9.
14:24The reporter earned in$26. But, as we all know, Joey turned it down. Now that we had the report, Joe, do you think that he should have accepted the offer taking the deal No, I don't. I don't. I don't. The thing that they do is, at the end of the day... How did this leak, Joe? Because what gets leaked sometimes, I would think, is what makes the team look good and what does not make the player look good. So what makes the team look good and what everybody's looking at is average per year. $27 million a year. $28 million a year. Nobody's mad at that. That looks like Joey Porter Jr. That's not even what it said.
15:07I'm going to say 27 million. I know what you're saying, but that's not it. North of 27 million. When this stuff comes out, this is what makes teams look good because you can make a good side saying, no, Joey Porter playing for$27 million a year is a good deal for the Steelers to offer him, and that's just where they could stand. Maybe not. Maybe that's not what it is, but that's what the Steelers can put out there. So when you don't say a guaranteed number, that's where the player is in favor. Because if you can say$27 million a year, that sounds good. When we talk about what is the guaranteed number, the only highest I've ever heard anything is around 33.
15:49And like anything like that just doesn't make sense when we talk about Joey Porter Jr.'s contract. So if you see, if it says$27 million a year. Are your kids bored with the same old sports? 18:59If you guys are thinking that$33 million a year, I mean$33 million guaranteed for the contract of a four-year deal, averaging at$27 million a year, is a deal that Joey Porter's assigned, then that's where everybody's saying it. What Joey Porter's looking at is what is the market? The dudes that are signing, it's the guaranteed number. If I'm at a$33 million guaranteed, it's not the average per year. Average per year, that's fine. We could do the 27th. Like, that doesn't mean, but how many is that guaranteed? Is it two years? Is it 27 times two? Am I going to get$54 million in guaranteed? Because those are my first two years of the season just to be guaranteed.
19:37And I know y 'all saying that y 'all love me and we're going to be good, but then I have my next two years of the contract that aren't guaranteed that the Steelers normally, when you sign a deal, they respect it. So I'm looking at the Roonies and just the relationship there is like, you signed a deal and now your first two years are guaranteed and then the rest of it isn't. But it's like, that's what's happening right now. And we're saying it's 27 and the leak is that, yes, it was just north of 27. And we're saying that the only leak was a 33, it was a guarantee, or sorry, that a rumor was 33 guarantee.
20:11But the actual we have a leak that says, oh, yeah, it was a fish. I think it's Jerry Dulac report for Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He's the one that said or was told or heard that the Steelers proposed an extension that would give Porter 27, just north of 27 million. Even in that, he said that that was just for the next year for 26. It's not even said that that is the yearly. so he doesn't even say that that is the yearly average that it was 26 for next year or 27 low north of 27 for next year yeah like let's let's can we get some other information that get you know leaked like maybe what the guarantee is and and all that other stuff uh because that's that's what we really come down to and like he's saying now that well obviously the two sides aren't negotiating or aren't currently negotiating but here's my issue man here's my big issue what's up you don't want to pay him whatever that is that it may be and you don't want to trade him because you don't feel like you're you're being offered the value that he's worth but you don't want to pay him so like like Like, what's going on there?
21:32Because when it comes down to it, if you don't want him, trade him. If you don't want to pay him, trade him. And you know what the trade should be? What was he, a second? I'm pretty sure. It's a bunch of teams out there that would give a second. But you're probably trying to get a first plus something else or maybe a first. Because you know what you got. Blah, blah, blah. Because you know what you got. Right. Right. Now, you know, his back hurt and everything else. and you want to basically try and hold him hostage in a situation where he can be franchised for two more years because you're not going to get the value that you feel like he's worth, but you don't want to pay him what he's worth.
22:14That makes no sense. At what point do you just be like, all right, let's move on? What, it ain't going to happen because this is the only recourse that y 'all have as you know as an owner you go go ahead and you do what you got to do and if they you know if they want to go and do this now you you know come down to it i franchise you worst case scenario is you get franchised you get franchised you get 23 this year oh sorry you get 23 next year and you get uh three nine this year three nine in their book that's still more than what you know what you would have gotten then if they want to be super crazy they can franchise you again I think that would only make it like 27 a year after that but I don't know why you would do that if here's the thing when it come down to it if they do that and franchise you and you don't play it's it's a good likelihood that that is going to significantly handicap your career and your career.
23:20You're talking about three years down the line. You're talking about two. This year, they franchising. This year's four. Next year's 22. And then the year after that, it'd be like, what, 20? You said 27. So that's three. I'm saying just for these two, though. If it happens just for these two, that's two years out. Okay, yeah, yeah. It still goes significantly. Because now you say you set out the whole one because you don't want to play for the 23. now you free and you know i'm saying now you got to do approve it now you want to prove it what is he 26 right now 26 26 you want to prove it at 28 trying to get back to the bag at 29 like if it goes that route or like i said you would hit the hit the tag again and if it goes that route at some point you're going to miss what it is that you could have got but again And if I'm him, I'm sorry, I'm doing the same thing and looking for the trade.
24:22Unless they trying to, you know what I'm saying? They trying to get too much for the trade. I don't know. But if you don't want him, you don't want to pay him, let him go. He came in as a two, get out as a two. I think that should be something they should go for the NFLPA. NFLPA, if they don't want to pay the player that comes in, they can't come to an agreement on the negotiation, then the trade should be no more than the value of the person of the other players draft how about that that's not a bad idea because uh yeah it's like you said it's ugly because right now it's the it's it's the it's the guaranteed money yes so we know we have to come to the we have to come to the fact of it's yeah are the Roonies going to budge because it's like at the end of the day I do when I sign with the Steelers my first time too it was you got the first year they were saying the way that they were doing the deal I can get the first year guaranteed whatever and then it's like I believed that I was going to play out my contract knew I was going to ball Did you play out your contract?
25:30Yes Yes Yes I played out my contract I just didn't get it I knew it was done I didn't get it wasn't able to get an extension they gave me I got my first deal I signed an extension to that deal. And once that deal was up, we were talking. And then I just played that contract out. And I knew it was over because we basically stopped talking. We couldn't find a spot. And they let me play the rest of my contract out. And then we just went our separate ways. So I'm looking at with Highsmith, with the history of it, it's like you expect to play well. Joey Porter Jr., I know he expects to come in there and not get hurt and play well.
26:06And even if he does get hurt, with the Steelers then, when they're writing up that deal, the Roonies are writing up the contract to give you four years for, say, at$27 million a year. So say Joey Porter signs it this season and has an extension, goes out next game, gets hurt. Do you, in your heart, do Joey Porter, do you believe if he gets the injury that they will release him next season? Because his guaranteed money is up. I don't think so. I think they will wait until Joey Porter Jr. give his chance to heal. Would you chance that? No, I would not chance that. I would not chance that. I would not chance that at all, Debo.
26:411 ,000%. But I'm just saying, yes, that's why it's the Roonies. You would have to put, it's like it's guaranteed but not guaranteed. Just put it in the paper that the man's going to have the guarantee because the way that it is, he is a lifer. So just make the two years of guarantee, guarantee, because he's not going nowhere. So if that's the real negotiation, if it's not the average per year, it's the guaranteed, just make his first two years guaranteed. So he feels like, boom, y 'all are loving me. I'm loving you guys. The average per year is not the problem. It's just a two years guarantee.
27:13I'm going to be here for more than two years. I'm going to be here for five years. So what's the problem of us making that guaranteed? It's not the average per year. We're not negotiating over the, you know what I'm saying, the annuals. That's all good. But just guarantee me my first two years of this contract is guaranteed. And I'm expecting to continue to play, but you can tell me that you love me. But you got to show me. Show me that you love me. Your words don't mean nothing. Your actions is everything. No. How you going to tell me you love me, but you beat me? You can't do that. That ain't going to go together.

27:47My good man Herb got 42 right next to me. Same class guaranteed. You can't tell me you haven't done it before. And with somebody like right in my same class, this is very recent. This is very in-home. This is my next-door neighbor. You know what I'm saying? Like, all right, so you can't tell me I'm just flagging in your face, just making it look like... I'm just letting you know I could do it for him, but you know what I'm saying? I can't do it for them. And it's like, come on, brother. It's just the two... That's what he's doing right there. That's why Mike McCarthy over here on another Joey Porter update here.
28:21That's what he had to say on the injury update. Oh, just clearly where we are and where we're going. I think, you know, we've played two games, you know, and I think just the reality of, you know, we're in the business of winning and it's about results. Mike doesn't even know what's going on there. Preparation is important. Performance is important. This is a bug. This is a bug. This is straight to the ownership. This is straight to Mr. Robinson. It's got to be. We're all guilty. It's not guilty. I shouldn't say that. It's more of a belief, a line, and a product of the coverage. There's so much made of the competition and the opponent and who's playing who.
29:00And it's exciting. It adds a lot of narratives to the game and so forth. But at the end of the day, our job is to whoop the other guy's ass. And we need to make sure we're staying in tune with that. It doesn't matter who they are. It doesn't matter what number they wear. We understand the challenges that they're going to bring to us each and every week. But let's just make sure we're cleaning our own house each and every week. And it's early in the season. And it's two games. But when the information is consistent two weeks in a row, you got to pay attention to that. And, you know, we've had some mistakes that have been repeated.
29:34And that's, you know, those are the things we need to clean off.
29:41Hey, man, look here. He didn't really speak on Lil Peasy, did he? He didn't really speak. He said something about it real early, but he didn't really say nothing about that. He said more about what we needed to do as a whole unit. As a whole, yeah. Week to week, that's what it's going to be. Y 'all just got to realize something. That back tricky. That back real tricky. That back real tricky. And with the coach, the coach is not going to be the GM up there talking. He's not about to sit up here and talk contract things with you guys. Right now, it's his back. It's conditioning. He's going to keep it as professional as possible.
30:22You know how he's not new to this. He's true to this. Been in the league way too long. So as far as the coach is concerned, that's going to be irritating because he doesn't want to have to answer questions about what's going on that is kind of like with Omar, with the Roonies. You know what I'm saying? It's like, are we going to write this? Is the deal getting done? I'm trying to figure out how we can complete passes. We scored one touchdown. My job right now, I can't be worried about George Washington's contract. I need to be figuring out how I can get Aaron Rodgers and our offense looking better, our offensive line.
30:55So what the coach is going to be like, he's just, I got a coach who I can play out on the field. You know, we're figuring stuff out. The people that we have out there, we need to be communicating and making sure we don't have bust and have people running scot-free. The safety, like that's not a personnel thing. That's a, you need to be on your assignment. If you're right there and he catches it on you, then we don't look as crazy. We could have stopped so many yards just being where we were supposed to be, seeing what we were supposed to see and making the play like this. It's simple. That's what I'm saying.
31:24A lot of that stuff. So that's what the coach can do is help the players that are on there and figuring that stuff out. With Joey Porter, he's like, his back might not be good. It's conditioning. He's keeping it just as what it is with what he's not got knows what's going on. Joey Porter, the back, like you said, Debo, it can be tricky. So until they figured, until the top and everybody figures that out, Coach can only say what he can because he's managing the people on the field. Joey Porter's back can only get right when it gets right. Omar and Rooney can only change the contract and call his agent when they want to.
31:58So people are in the position that it's going to go just like this. Everybody's got sinking their feet in to what it's going to be. So we're just riding along seeing what's going on each week. When they ask him on cards, he can only answer what he can answer. Joey Porter Jr. can only answer how he's feeling. Is his back still feeling a little tricky? Omar can only ask, what is the contract? Are we in negotiations or not? Are you guys talking to the agents or not? So all me and my brother Deebo can do, we can report on the news. You know what I'm saying? We can see if Joey reports. What happened at practice today?
32:29Listen, man, we ain't worried about that, man. We need to get some offense together, man. We got bigger problems. I need to get some offense together. I feel like Mike McCarthy. This go be what this go be. I feel like Mike McCarthy. I don't think this come to a head until we get to that point of the end of the trade deadline. this ain't gonna hit ahead till then that's when it'll hit ahead then we'll see what happens because if you ain't played by then I'm gonna ownership I'm gonna IR I'm gonna tag you next year because I ain't gonna let you leave without getting something I got I ain't gonna let you you can't leave here without me getting something because there's a time of like where training camp something OTAs mandatory, okay, training camp, preseason.
33:21There's actual real games going on. You know what I'm saying? So we'll see. Time will tell. Yeah, time will tell. The Vikings head coach Kevin O 'Connell said Kyler Murray has cleared concussion protocol and will start Sunday versus Tampa. Carson Wentz has completed 20 of 39, 276 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions across two games, 2-0 start. Joe, do you think it's the right move for him to stay with Kyler as the starter? Wentz, having a hot hand. What do you think he's doing? I like Kyler Murray a lot. I hope that he comes back good. But I'm hot hand. I'm a hot hand kind of guy. And I think that if— I just smashed my toe.
34:15Fuck. Ah, watch yourself. Go ahead. Watch yourself. I'm a hot-hand kind of guy. I think he's been playing good three touchdowns, no interceptions, across the two games, 2-0 start. I mean, if Coach sees something that he can be more explosive— I said, what you doing, Joe? I'm going with Carson Wentz because I'm not going to take something— I'm not going to take something hot and stop it. I'm going to let us keep on cooking. You know what I'm saying? And then when Carson Wentz, I just know I got Colin Murray right here in the cut, cool and ready to go whenever he's ready. Soft as hell, Joe. I just smashed my toe.
34:51This shit hurt. Yeah, you went down bad just now. You all right, bud? Look here, man. If I'm the head coach, what you doing? My toe hurt, man. You going back? Shit. I mean, my toe hurt, bro. Damn. I don't know why. Listen, I'm going to play through it, though. Let's hear it, man. If I'm the head coach and my starting quarterback is Kyler Murray. Yes. And the reason, because I'm the head coach, the reason he is my starting quarterback is that through that evaluation process, Joe, it told me that Kyler Murray was the better quarterback. Okay. The position and for this team to be the starter. The fact that he gets hurt out with a concussion, Wentz comes in and plays well, does not mean my opinion of him as a starting quarterback changes.
35:50No, you stick with your starting quarterback because through all. Have your kids ever wanted to try an Olympic and Paralympic sport? Try fencing. 38:34But we're not done yet. Let's bring every warrior home. Join our fight at HyundaiWarriors.com. Whole offseason of you seeing what's going on, that was your thought process as the head coach that Kyler Murray is my starting quarterback. So he should stay your starting quarterback. And he would stay my starting quarterback because I'm the head coach. I went through the process. This was my starting quarterback. It wasn't after because he ended up getting knocked out from a concussion. So when he comes back, he's still going to be my starting quarterback because that is my guy, period. I'm not going to roll with the hot hand.
39:07And he's going to be my guy for an extended period of time for multiple games until it shows me that, you know what? Maybe he's not my guy anymore. and I will then go to my backup quarterback. You know what? I can agree. You changed it? I changed it. Okay. I'm good. I took this one kind of off the just 2-0. I'm just trying to go hot hand. Minnesota, it's, you know, I hope they do well, but I'm just trying to figure out if we win two games over in Cleveland, I'm rocking with whoever did that. Okay. So that's the only reason why I went on my first initial mental. Like, I don't give a damn. Who won?
39:49They won two games? Oh, put them under center. Until they take a L. Until they take a L. Brother, I want to win football games, Debo. Trust me. Like, that's the main thing. I kind of give the main thing the main thing. If we leave the stadium with the dub, everything else can get worked out. We can work everything else out. It ain't even bleeding, Joe, but it feel like it was, you know, you get that. You went down. you know how you feel like it's blood in your sock and stuff man lord thank you Jesus that it wasn't I appreciate you it could have been worse than that lord I thank you and I thank you for that blessing though it could have been worse you gotta start wearing shoes man man listen I ain't wearing no shoes on my carpet my carpet too light to wear shoes bro I can't afford no shoes no way bro he was with his toe man what are you talking about bro he ain't gonna bust his whole toe I'm good though.
40:45If it was bleeding, you know how mad I would have been if I took that sock off and it was bleeding and it got on my carpet? Oh man, Joe. It's the Londoner, Stanley Steamer can't get out. Listen, man. We had like a microburst come through here, man. That thing blew my whole door and blew my house down. Knocked my roof off and everything, Joe. I ain't lying to you. I'm dead serious, bro. That's why I got new carpet and all that. It blew the door open, throw rain all up in there and all that other stuff. Yeah, bro. Yeah, that's how I got new carpet. I couldn't afford it no other way, man. I had to get a whole new roof.
41:17The house, man. What was it made of? Hit it through it next door. It snapped three, four trees. Just popped. Boom. What's the house made of, D-Bo? Straw? Yes, I told you. You ain't never came over. You don't want to see this one. Man, you got me scared. I'm living. I protect you. I'm going to take care of you.
41:44Oh, this is a good depot. Who we got in the supers, man? Man, let's see who we got in the super chat, man. Let's see. We got Covenant Life, of course. So we have Covenant Life right here. She's$20. I appreciate you, Covenant Life. Appreciate it, Covenant. it she says coaches stop having mediocre quarterback as backups your next man up needs to be a good needs to be as good as the number one that's never going to happen they ain't gonna pay that as good as it's so hard to get you one right look look look at us the Steelers let Rodgers get hit again like Sunday it's a wrap because Mason is horrible and the Browns no comment listen here don't even come in here at the Browns like that, coveted.
42:37We got Shador Sanders as my backup quarterback that I believe I want to see get a man a shot. You want to see? You saying you want to see Deshaun fail? No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I'm saying that she's saying you better have your second quarterback ready because just in case somebody goes down, I'm not trying to root for his downfall at all. I want Deshaun to continue to succeed, but But Covenant life is saying that you need to have your backup quarterback as good as your first-string quarterback. It ain't going to never happen. I'm saying if he goes out, I know that I want to see Shador, and I'm very confident that if he has the people around him and our offensive line is doing well, Shador will thrive.
43:18So that's what I'm saying. Browns right now, Covenant, we got Deshaun Watson right now that's actually playing very, very well at quarterback. then in case something happens, I have Shador Sanders who I confidently believe in hasn't got his real, real shot with Boston, with Concepcion. Our line has to start getting right. You know what I'm saying? And then I think he can look great too. So, yeah. That's why we're in a good position right now. Don't come at the Browns for that one. That's when the Browns we got... Come on. Okay. Okay, cover the light back again. She said, I didn't play prize picks, but I had Adam as my captain.
43:57What's a captain? I don't think she knows what she's talking about right here. She might be, I don't know, maybe it's fantasy. And he brought me a few thousand. A few thousand. A few thousand, what? Joe, explain the hat, please. I don't know the logo. It's nice. I'm all bomb. People, you already know. You stay, you should, you should stay ready. look what is that we got Marlboro it's a golf brand my man Marlboro cigarette red man Marlboro Marlboro Marlboro Marlboro Marlboro Marlboro Marlboro Marlboro Marlboro Marlboro okay okay I got you Marlboro okay so it's golf golf yep you're a terrible yes I'm up.
44:52Have been better. I have been better. Mike Mike,$105. Appreciate you. He said, can the Steelers trade Adams to pair with Aaron again?
45:08I don't know if we can. I don't think we can do it. I mean, we better do that. They not going to let go. They not letting go. They not letting him go. Because once you. And they ain't taking what we got. Yeah. They ain't taking what we got. and ain't letting go with what they got. Because at the same, like you said, that number one, where he could just catch the ball in this vicinity, low back shoulder, high dig, double move, just very smooth, very crisp, very nice route running. You know what I'm saying? I take it. I take it all day. Yeah. Coming to life back again, five dollars. She tripping.
45:39She said number two quarterback should, to me, Debo, get snaps, just like number two running back, because someone's going to get hurt. We don't want to. I'm lying, but it's going to happen. Joe. Yes. Quarterback is not the position that you rotate in. That ain't what we do. That don't happen. Would you want your back? Just say this. Let's just say this. If we had Patrick Mahomes as our quarterback, Why would I'm going to rotate him?
46:48Thank you. Backup quarterback. You're a backup quarterback for a reason. Because if you could be a starting quarterback, you would go to another team and it would start you. Bruh. It's hard because people are looking for a franchise. People want a franchise. Cover the life. They're ready to pay you$60 million. Cover the life. You drinking. Cover the life on that wine. You drinking. Cover the life back again. She got$2. She said, Scatterboo need a brand scan. He ain't all there. Listen. Covey is drinking she drinking again they done had to drink in the last since that game she been drinking since Sunday since Sunday she been drinking since Sunday
47:29mmhmm
47:34like yeah yeah we got we got what's that Danny CJ Danny C Jr. 720 fired out yep said just pull up and show DK how to be a DB Joe if there's one thing he gonna there's one thing he gonna do knock knock knock the ball out of the air but he ain't gonna catch it man it's a it's a trash receiver hey man these people reckless man y 'all y 'all reckless man hey man I gotta hey I'm gonna just go on to the next one man you ain't gotta say that about that man hey Mike Mike back 100. He said$5. Appreciate you, brother. He said, can the NFLPA just get rid of the tag? If so, what will it cost? They ain't about to go.
48:26They go give up a lot of stuff. I don't know if they – they may give up a second tag. They may not give up both of them. I don't know. It's going to cost a lot. But when it comes down to it, man, if the players go and they get strong, they stand strong, they hold up to where they can withstand 18 months of a lockout, they will be able to get whatever they want because through that process if you don't uh you know that that's a lot of money lost what they what they what they pull in was it 12 15 billion in tv revenue or something a year like you know what let me go ahead and have to pay out a little more and you know what i'm saying that's let me go ahead and have to pay out a little more than go ahead and miss all that but we gotta be able to the players gotta to be able to withstand it.
49:12And the union has to tell them, like, yo, get ready. 30, they locking us out. They better get ready, D-Ball. They better get ready. I'm laughing because your girl Coveted is funny. What, she's back again? She's funny. Coveted is funny. We got Coveted back again, man. She said, I don't want to say you got it? No, no, no. Yes, she came back twice. Let me cover this say, when we talk about this. Hold! Hold up! Wait up, Joe. That ain't it. Covenant got $5 right there. She said, I don't want to say the other one, but it's DraftKings, and I had him as my captain. $8 ,200! Woo! Woo! Dead go, Cov. Dead go.
50:11Shit. $8 ,200. $8 ,200. Who? Where that on Drak King? Man. Lord, Jimmy the Christmas. That's how you hit, Cov. Cov. I'd have been hyped, too. Mm-mm. Go ahead. Jump on that prize piece. Yeah, see? $8 ,200. Hey, Cov. Hey, listen. I'm going to hit you up. I'm going to see who you playing with, what you putting on, and I'm going to go in there with you. You got to, Cov. I need to get that. I need to get that. That be enough to, I could live a whole year and a half on 8200. Covenant life back again. Oh my goodness. What? This the one. This the one. Oh, that's the one? This the one. She said, well, we don't have Kermit the Frog as our quarterback.
51:00Wow. Because I said, and I'm not drinking, sir. Yes, sir. You is drinking. Nah, you know what she is? She done got$8 ,200. She high on that money. She drunk on that money, Joe. She drunk on that money. I'm covering it. I get$8 ,200, Joe. I'm be drunk on that money, Joe. She, man, listen, cover that. I hear what you're saying. We still don't give the backup quarterback reps. He ain't getting Nathan. He ain't getting Nathan, covenant. He ain't getting no reps. I can't give him in a game? What are we talking? nah he get reps in practice she drunk off that money I told y 'all man she drunk off that money we got what is that she hmm Shea Rodriguez $5153$10 said I know we're only getting into week 3 but I really did not see anything that shows we're going to play any different these next few weeks, do you think we can fix everything we got going on?
52:14Hell no, not in a week. Listen, I'm going to be 100 with you. I don't know if what we have right now, especially with that offensive line, is fixable 100 % with what we have. because of how much stuff is like we got guys getting beat we got we got just things not getting picked up if it gets i think simple down or or if it gets you know he goes and he makes it uh condenses the playbook and makes it easier where they don't have to learn so many different adjustments to different formations or however it is as far as what they're in to what they have to adjust to what the defense will do then from that I'll be able to see if they could do that then maybe we can but all that all that jive I was talking before talking about 14 and 3 man somebody give me some powder yo man try to slap myself I'm going to slap myself, bro.
53:31It's going to be line. It's going to be people got to make some plays. I hear what you said about it's still two weeks, so I think it's still super early. First quarter of the season, four games. So after the first quarter of the season, then you'll be able to know kind of what the hell's going on. First two, we're going to be able to see. They got two more. We're going to get a good measuring stick. We're going to get a good measuring stick. This weekend. Facts. Yep. Shea Roderick is back again,$2. I see 5 and 12. Got to be more careful. That's crazy. That's crazy. That's crazy. I ain't going to go that far.
54:05I ain't going to go that far. No way. I refuse to go that far. Before I start saying something crazy. We want to thank you guys for joining us on this episode of D-Boy and Joe. Look here. Please make sure you like, subscribe, and download where you get your show. Joe? Yep. We will see you guys on Friday, same time, same place. Let's get it. Yo.
