In short
Cleveland Browns offseason leadership and scheme fit (Miles Garrett attendance), the Browns-Steelers playoff rivalry, Odell Beckham Jr.’s potential next team, and Jacksonville’s Travis Hunter role shift to full-time cornerback plus gadget/return usage.
Guests
Jarvis Landry (former NFL wide receiver; discusses leadership, locker-room culture, and his new podcast “4th and South”); Joe (Joe Hayden, former NFL cornerback; focuses on cornerback technique and matchup strategy).
Key claims
Miles Garrett’s OTA absence is not a major concern because he’ll be present for mandatory minicamp and is a “by his own way” leader; scheme changes shouldn’t be overhauled during offseason; the Steelers-Browns playoff game was “personal,” with early turnovers and key swings; Travis Hunter projects best as an elite cornerback due to ball skills, instincts, tackling, and ability to play the ball (with limited offensive use); Odell should go where he’s featured and gets the ball.
Notable examples
Miles Garrett’s sack production vs Pittsburgh; the 2020 wildcard game swing (Mahomes injury, Chad Henne “off the Henny”); Hunter’s Colorado two-way usage; Odell’s potential fit with Malik Nabers and New York.

3:11James Harrison:How do you feel about these off-season programs? So our boy Miles Garrett, they talking about, because my man Lamar Jackson showed up, Shador showed up. Deshaun showed up. Dylan Gabriel showed up. And Miles Garrett didn't show up. Where was that? Where Miles Garrett didn't show up. So he's on track to lose a million dollars in 2016. The compensation since his contract includes a million dollars in workout bonuses in 2016. What? On the bonus, he need to be there for 84 % of the off-season workouts, OTAs, and yeah. Report timely for training camp. Listen. What you thinking? What you thinking, Jus?
3:47James Harrison:What's going on? Miles Garrett, I don't, Miles can go do whatever he want to do. That's what I'm saying. I was trying to answer. Miles do what he want to do. So you don't want your top defensive player to be there showing buy-in so everybody else shows. Miles Garrett is the most brought-in person in the Cleveland Browns organization. Thank you. I don't. Thank you. He the most paid. I want to see you there. I want you to be there. I actually showed up for our stuff. Even though I went and trained out in Arizona, I still was there. Like, yo, this is the part where I need to show that as one of the leaders of this team, I'm buying into this.
4:31So I need other players to see this. So I would show up for things like that.
4:35James Harrison:But Miles lead in his own way, right? Yes. Miles is not a big in front of the team. I mean, you got a new head coach. Show me the new head coach you like him. You buy him because I'm feeling like this right now. If that's my homeboy, like, oh, here. My dude Miles ain't show up. Oh, well, we ain't messing with you right now. I feel like Miles, listen, I play with Miles. Miles is not the type of leader to speak up in front of the team. When he do speak in front of the team, he got everybody's attention, right? But he's more of the guy-by-guy, in-his-room type of leader. We know what Miles Garrett is going to bring to the table.
5:15James Harrison:I'm sure Miles Garrett had called D and Jimmy Haslam, called Todd Munkin, welcomed him to the team. I talked to him. You didn't talk to him yet? Juice, he's lying. You didn't talk to him. He's going. That's what I'm saying. He'll do shit like that. That's what I'm saying. I believed you too. I was like, damn. That's what I'm saying. He'll do a straight face. Yeah, I talked to him. No, no, but I feel like it's communicated. You know, I think I think to your point, Debo, he could have showed up for the first day, first week and then been out of there. But if a guy like Miles don't come, it's not is no harm, no foul.
5:55James Harrison:I know what I'm going to get. I mean, do we have a new defensive scheme? Do we have a new defensive playbook? Like, like, because I'm sure the new D coordinator came in there and he like, dude, I'm not about to run this dude stuff who just left. Schwartz and left y 'all hanging. I'm about to show y 'all I could do it better. You think they running the same thing, doing the same scheme? That don't change Amar Garrett. Just go get that quarterback. It changed what you need to know as far as where you're going to be on the field. That's all I'm sure. The guys that play around him need to be able to get a feel for what he's going to do.
6:23Domination. You know what I'm saying? I'm just saying. I'm so used to doing things correctly in Pittsburgh that I don't know how to not have a team effort. So you can get a team Lombardi.
6:36James Harrison:Yeah, but when you were there, right, you had personalities, right? Was A.B., Le 'Veon, Bell, was all these guys showing up to OTAs? Oh, every single one, no. Not every single one, not every single time. Right, so... Was they there or not, Joe? I mean... Is that the truth, saying the devil? Was they there? When the OTAs came, were they there? No, I'm talking about the regular... Like, any team activities, not mandatory, but it was if it was a team activity, was they there? I got CTE. I don't remember. I don't remember. I would say this. Go ahead, Jarvis. No, I would say this. Again, for Myles Garrett, he's not a player that I'm going to worry about.
7:28James Harrison:I understand the team aspect of it. He could have showed up maybe for the first week, but But again, I'm sure he's going to be there for mandatories. You know, as far as learning the playbook and stuff like that, Debo, like there's only so many tackling twists and games that we can run that, that, that, you know, ain't nobody developing no new game or no new twist. That's the problem. Most of these coaches trying to redevelop the wheel. That's why everything looking so crazy and defenses don't work and offenses look sloppy. Everybody want to put their own hook on it. You can't change too much of anything without destroying.
8:01So this is what I'm saying.
8:02James Harrison:I'm with you. Myles Garrett, earlier in the careers in two, like, he is, he just hamling off 23 sacks. When he walks into the room, everybody's going to know. He's going to be in a mandatory minicamp. He's lifting weights elsewhere. When Myles comes, he's going to look ridiculous and look like he's ready to go. 100%. So, like, I'm with you 1 ,000 % on this. It's not as big of a deal. If he was a quarterback, if we need you to be working with your receivers, Right. When Miles comes, you pluck him in at defensive end. He's going to be the best in the league to do what he has to do. Like, you can't teach what Miles got.
8:39James Harrison:He's our biggest chess piece on the board. Yes. I don't even, man, go do what you've been doing. You just come, you're coming off. Just come back, just man. Defensive player of the year. Yes. I get what y 'all saying. Cleveland ain't got the type of coaches that's going to actually give him any nuggets. Right? No, but he's going to come get these nuggets. I understand. I mean, look. Yeah. mandatory minicamp he'll be there it's Cleveland it's Cleveland it's just a lot of I know 100 % I know 100 % mandatory minicamp he'll be there I just don't think that he's a guy that I know we need to see a lot of doing OTAs you know in just jerseys and shorts I'm just saying you just got a new coach I know we're saying it'll definitely be a good look I'm just saying you know what I'm saying hey Miles but I love it you do what you want to do Miles you the baddest defensive player in the NFL if not the best player in the NFL.
9:31Do what you want to do. Go where you want to go. Be where you want to be. You want to go chill with your girl? Go chill with your girl. You want to go there and take our own vacation for OTAs? You do that because you the man. And you going to always be the man.
9:44James Harrison:I'm Jarvis Landry and I approve of that message. No matter what. No question. No question. That's another. That's an SEC guy. Joe know I like to speak to egos. Joe know I like to speak to egos. You going to come out of that. Yes. You know, don't go too crazy because Miles, he don't speak too much. He's going to come out there. 26 sacks. 28. 26? Yeah. 28? How many he get on the Steelers? I mean, I don't know. None, Debo, he ain't get none. It's a season stat for a reason. It's a season stat. We don't care about what he did against everybody else. It's black and gold. I mean, 2020, you went on out there.
10:24You got your nine for, you know, what was it? Nine for 95? for 95, something like that. You know what I'm saying? You won a game against Pittsburgh.
10:32James Harrison:Oh, the playoff game. Oh, no. Joe, I'm sorry. Goodness, Joe got beat that game. Hey, man, how did that feel? How did that feel? How did you beat Joe? Bro. You played for the Steelers in 2020, Joe. You was part of the team, so stop it. Let him answer the question. Man, you know what, bro? I didn't play in the playoff game. I don't care. I know I was watching. I watched. I'm talking to, can you let Jarvis answer this, please? Thank you. Man, you know what, Debo, that year was crazy because we played y 'all back to back. It's almost like y 'all let us in the playoffs because y 'all didn't really play most of y 'all starters.
11:08James Harrison:And then the next week, we played y 'all in the wildcard game and that shit was so personal to us, bro. And I think y 'all, I think the Steelers just kind of looked at it like a, like, maybe look past us. Like, it was, That game was so personal, bro. Like, we were so hyped. Like, I can't even tell you. It was like, hey, they was like, we're going to let y 'all in and go ahead and slap y 'all in the playoffs. That's how y 'all felt. That's how we felt, bro. And I'm telling you, when we pulled up to the stadium, bro, the energy was crazy, bro. Everybody had the stilly eye look, like nobody talking.
11:47James Harrison:You know what I'm saying? It wasn't even like nobody had to say anything before the game. at that time I think who it was Juju Smith was doing like the Carvette thing on everybody logo and all that stuff bro I'm telling our mentality going into that game that's why you see the energy like that like when when when I score if you go back to my touchdown I ain't even celebrate like I was I was just about to run to the Steelers sideline like looking angry yeah like it's up the whole game like y 'all low-key lucky that we scored more defensive points that we scored defensive points that game too because it got out of hand early.
12:23James Harrison:Bro, because the first snap, the ball flipped over just went over my man's head. Yeah, yeah. That's how you start. We started the game. I'm watching. I had COVID. So I'm watching from the crib like, oh, no, no, no. Like, I thought I was watching the movie. Yeah. First play of the game. The ball flipped over my man's head. A horror movie. So I'm looking at that, bro. Y 'all just, it was, yeah, it was not a good look. Bro, we... Who'd y 'all play after that? Man, we played Kansas City. took him down to the wire. We had a bad call, a bad call. One of our guys dozed in for a touchdown. He got hit, ball crossed the line.
13:01James Harrison:They said it was a touchback. Listen, that game. Oh, no. One of those? Bro, one of those. That game, Patrick Mahomes get hurt in the third quarter. He's out for the rest of the game. Y 'all thought it was over with. It was like, we got this. The stars are aligning. The stars are aligning. Tebow, like, I'm looking like at first I'm like, okay, listen, we gotta be perfect. You know, you play them games and it's like, bro, we gotta be perfect. You playing against Mahomes. You playing against Roethlisberger. You have to be locked in. Mahomes went down. We was like, listen, we really good. We good.
13:41James Harrison:Man, Chad Henney come off the bench, bro. Not Henney. Off the Henny. Chad Henny off the Henny. Henny off the Henny. Destroyed it, bro. So we ended up losing that game. That same year, we had beat Buffalo, right? That same year, we had beat Buffalo. So we knew that if we won that game, we were going to probably play Buffalo. And we had beat them already. You already beat them already. We wasn't looking past them, but we already knew that, like, bro, we could play in the Super Bowl. Like, that was a Super Bowl team. And that year, we lost Odell in, like, game, like, nine. Game nine or 10, we lost Odell.
14:20James Harrison:So we didn't even have Odell back. And we were kind of, we made that push to the playoffs. So the next year when we got him back, we thought it would be like, okay, now we finally here. Right? Yeah. And then he got traded to the Rams and, you know, the rest is history. Damn. Crazy. Crazy ton of events. Crazy ton of events. Chad Henney off the Henney. Crazy. Crazy Chad Henney off the Henney. That entered a possible historic run for y 'all. It was, man. It ended the team. In reality, like Joe was talking about, because in reality, Odell left. The whole controversy between Odell and Baker happened, right?
14:56James Harrison:And then Odell leaves. We lose. And then that next year, I think I'm released. Like, you know, Baker's gone. I'm released. Deshaun Watson come in. Like, that's the end of the run. Yeah. We had two years together. That's it. It was one and a half. Matter of fact, speaking of Odell, he's trying to go back to the Giants. What do you think of the possibilities of him being there? You think it's a good idea? You think Harbaugh will actually make that move? Man, a relationship there. You know what I mean? Like, I think for me looking at it, and just as a fan, and as my brother, man, I want to see him ball.
15:32James Harrison:Yeah. Same. Yes. Like, I want to see him go somewhere where they're going to put the ball in his hands, too. Like, again, like, I understand. You know what I mean? But, like, put the ball in his hands. Do you think New York would be sweet though? I think because if they got Malik, they got Malik neighbors, and then he could be, if he could still be two, you know what I'm saying? I think he could still be able to get the ball out there. And I think towards you walk, when you get towards the end of your career, being able to... Support for the show comes from Public, the investing platform for those who take it seriously.

19:34James Harrison:With a play where it started and it being like a good situation, they got a young quarterback, they got a scatterboot. They starting to look, they don't just look weak. They look like they trying to do something so he wouldn't just be going. They got swag. About to get beat. Yeah, the quarterback got swag. They got, you know what I'm saying? And that's what O brought to New York. So I think it would be a nice fitting way to, you know what I'm saying? Because I know he still want to play. He been running around getting right. So for me, I want to see him ball. And him in the 13 in New York, always, it was legendary.
20:04James Harrison:So that would be crazy. Yeah, it'd be crazy, bro. It'll be crazy. And I think they got like the second or the third pick this year, too. So from what I've seen, the Jeremiah Love kick or potentially, you know, show up there and be a giant, I think that could be an amazing, amazing fit to add a piece like Odell to that, right? Especially with neighbors coming off the ACL, right? It could be a great, it could be a match made in heaven to be able to run the football, play action, fake some stuff, get Odell in different, you know, that third level, second, third level, right? Let Malik neighbors do his thing, ISO-ing.
20:39James Harrison:It could be a great fit. Come in, Scatterboot, come back in and bring some more elements in the red zone. I think it'd be awesome. I think it'd be awesome. Match made in heaven. And at a fair price. Yeah. It's going to have to be. I mean, it's going to have to be, but I'm saying that's the beauty of it. That's the beauty of it. That's the beauty of it. We both need to take two to tango. Yeah. No question. No question. I can get you for a little bit cheap. You going to give me some return? For sure. Yes, sir. That sound like a great investment. That sound like a great investment to me. New York.

21:13Yeah. Let's go on down here to Jacksonville, man. They got Travis Hunter. They're saying he going to be a full-time cornerback. I guess they're going to give him some gadget plays, offense. No longer 50-50 split. like he did in Colorado. Do y 'all like this move? Do y 'all like him being more of a cornerback or more of a receiver? Which one do you think? Go ahead, Joe, go on that one.
21:39James Harrison:Oh, for me, I think he can be a Hall of Fame, one of the best to do it at corner. I think he's a natural corner. His ball skills and what he can do a wide receiver, putting that at the cornerback position is what makes cornerbacks elite. Being able to track the ball, being able to not get uncomfortable and being able to not panic on the fade, being able to not grab, being able to like, literally, you see the ball, I see the ball, now I'm going to turn receiver. I'm going to jump over the receiver, catch the ball. And instincts, not being afraid to tackle, not being afraid to hit, he's amazing with the ball in his hands.
22:13James Harrison:So when I look at primetime Deion Sanders, Deion Sanders could have been a wide receiver. He could have been a receiver in the league and did work at receiver. But I don't think he would have been primetime, the best cornerback, the best receiver to ever play, the way that I look at him as the best cornerback to ever play. And when we say gadget plays, do the same thing as him. You could put him at punt returner. Let him get a couple of kickoff returns when you need it. Put him at wide receiver a little bit. Those are the positions where that man's an athlete. Put him in the punt return, fair catch.
22:40James Harrison:But if he catches that punt, he can take that to the crib. Game changer. If he catches that kickoff with A-Chan, when he catches that kickoff with space, you want space and grass, like what Coach T would say. Give me the ball in green grass. You get that in Travis Hunter's hands, then he's going to be explosive. So on defense, in my opinion, just the footwork, the ball skills, the speed, the not afraid to hit, all that is what makes him unbelievably elite at corner. Receiver, he can do it too. And I'm not saying he wouldn't be amazing. He could probably go Pro Bowl. But just from my eyes, I'm like, dude, you can be one of the best to ever do it at corner from his Colorado state.
23:17James Harrison:What do you think, Jarvis? Man, Joe said every point that I would that I literally would say from being elite to, you know, being a part returner to using this instincts as from from taking that receiver instinct to the to the to the defense side of the ball. We saw a lot of that at Colorado, you know, before he came out where, you know, he falling from he falling off of the under to to to the wheel. Yes. Making playing off instincts playing. I think he can play faster that way. You know what I mean? I think his ability is through the roof of what he could do defensively more than what he can give you as an offensive player.
23:53James Harrison:Offensively, there's too many limitations. There's too many other needs for him to be successful. The quarterback has to be perfect. The line has to this. The coverage has to be, you know, there's so many times coach, offensive coaches draw you up a play and they run a perfect coverage that that ball don't go to you. right so I want to see Travis Hunter be as explosive as he can be on every play and I think being on the defensive side of the ball gives us a chance to do that yeah helps the football team yeah definitely helps the football team a lot more and then like you said you could still get him over there every now and then to see see what he could do right there on that on that on that one because Travis Hunter you put him on your number one receiver and I'm liking that.
24:37James Harrison:Like, he's not afraid of nobody. Like, nobody's going to out-athlete that man. And then he gets to learning, what route is this man going to run? I'm not just going to have to play, man. I'm going to know he's over split. It's third and three. I'm playing with the quarterback. I'm jumping this hitch. Because when I see him in zone, cover two, he's playing high to low, playing with the quarterback. He's picking off the low route. When you're supposed to make sure you take away the seven and then you come down and pick the hitch, I'm like, you're supposed to just catch and tackle. You're supposed to make a tackle there.
25:05James Harrison:When you pick that off, I'm like this. Okay, you're special. You know what I'm saying? And then you score. You know what I'm saying? You don't even die. And then he's diving, catching it. And then one, if you're in the league, you can get up and run. Like his ball skills, his way to catch the ball and all of his smarts, and now being able to let the NFL game slow down and be out there all the time knowing I'm a corner. I'm following this dude. I'm going to be able to study him. Now you're going to be able to lock shit down and be able to be one of the best corners instead of, all right, I'm going to do a little bit of defense.
25:36James Harrison:Then I'm going to go ahead and try to figure out what I got to get into this offensive bag. He's definitely game-changing on the defense side. Give me your top five receivers in the league right now. Right now? Right now. Right now. Justin Jefferson. Jamar Chase. CeeDee Lamb. Like that. JSN. and St. Brown. Give me your five all-time. Jerry. Yep. Larry. Nice hands. T.O. Yep.
26:22James Harrison:And I'm going to throw my two dark horses. Mm-hmm. Because it's your top, because it's yours. Anquan Bolden and Hines Ward. Ooh. Over Moss? Listen, that's my two dark horses. I think Moss is, obviously Moss is there, but I didn't watch. T.O. was my favorite receiver growing up, right? Okay. Jerry Rice was my uncle's favorite receiver. So he was the reason that my brother wore number 80. Okay. And then I wore number 80 because of my brother. So I just fell in love with Jerry Rice that way. Okay. Yes. Even though he the GOAT. He the GOAT. Greatest of all time. Yes. Yes. Hands down. Right? Heinz Ward.
27:05James Harrison:Yes. I remember this dude broke somebody's jaw on crack block. Hey. Hey. Listen, I told you we were changing rules on both sides of the ball, man. That's why they brought that crack back, man. You used to be able to go up there and clean somebody up, man. You got to realize who... That's the Heinz Ward rule right there. You got to realize... He broke Rivers' jaw over there in Cincinnati. Yeah. You got to realize what type of player that you talking to. You running the ball. You blocking. You getting gritty with it. You trying... You are toting the ball through the paint 100 % 100 % so them so I watched I watched a ton of Heinz Ward and Heinz Ward obviously toward the end of his career he got bigger right had more having a set right yeah like Heinz Ward is an animal like I don't know no question and I hate that people like that get you hate that people when you say Heinz Ward get to looking crazy yeah or that people forget people forget right like like that he that brought this hall of famer yes bro like Like, this dude was, like, legit for a long, long, long time.
28:07James Harrison:Yes, brother. And they called us the Pittsburgh 9-12 Stillman. And that's why people like Heinz going to always be remembered, because people like you, they not going to let them be forgotten, bro. He can't. He can't. He on my Mount Rushmore. Like, he up there. Like, D-Bow, I'm telling y 'all. I'm telling y 'all. I'm telling y 'all. I used to watch this guy highlight tapes. The reason why I blocked the way I blocked was because of Heinz Ward. Come on, man. And you know, also my knock was always my speed. So I was always looking at players that was very similar to me to how can I adapt my game?
28:42James Harrison:Because if they're playing at that level, I believe that I could play at that level, not being a speed demon or whatever it is. And back when I came in, that was a big thing, but it wasn't the biggest thing like it is now. Right. As how fast is this kid? Right. But it was more about, is he a football player? And I feel like I had game speed. I watched you watched Anquan Bolden that's what I was about to say what about Quan bro killer I'm going to say Anquan Bolden's first touch was a touchdown if I'm not mistaken his first touch in the NFL was a touchdown when he was out in Arizona wearing number 81 I'm going to say he was number 81 yes yes yes bro animal because my time I remember Anquan was when he played for the Ravens and he was so strong and that man I did not I did not like Anquan because he would block me so hard.
29:29James Harrison:I thought he had a problem with me because some dudes, you know, they might run the receiver off. He's a receiver. If it's a running play, he's going to hat and hands me. And I'm like, I'm like, bro, I thought he was me. I'm like, no, he just not saying nothing to me. Like, no, there's no communication. I'm just about to dog you. I'm like this. Okay. I respect it because you playing all within the rules and the whistles, but you really running up on me and hat and hand to me every time. My all-time favorite, bro. He one of my all-time favorites. And then obviously, Larry Fitzgerald. Larry Fitzgerald.
30:03James Harrison:I got a cut up of when I was in high school, Larry Fitzgerald making all his crazy-ass catches when he was out in Pittsburgh practicing, you know, in Pittsburgh. And I'm like, man, who is this guy? This guy, like, damn, he catching everything with one hand. He catching behind his back. He diving, all this. And I'm like, for me, he showed me that any time a ball is thrown to a receiver, in that catch radius, it's catchable. Yes, if you touch it. Yes. Bro, this man got crazy hands. Mm-hmm. That man got the best, one of the craziest stats ever. He got more tackles in the NFL than dropped passes in his career.
30:41James Harrison:Come on, man. Like, when was he tackling? And people don't even mention this man in their top five. No, no, no. Yeah. I'm not talking deep. I ain't talking about flashy. I don't know if that's a good stat. I ain't talking about flashy. No, you're just talking about getting it done. I'm just talking about getting it done. like and he played on one team it's a tight career stand up stand up dude you never heard nothing about larry ever out the way nah he on my mind westmore way out the way brother jarvis you uh you just started your uh podcast i guess a little while ago with uh fourth and south man uh how how that's going man what have you learned through this process It's going well, bro.
31:23James Harrison:You know, it's a transition, right? You know, so it's a transition. So, you know, we still working out the case, man. But, you know, we got great people around us. Great team like you guys got a great team around you. And a lot of that makes it easier to just come on and talk and do our thing. And it helps having relationships with good people, man, like you guys, you know what I mean? And other people that, you know, we're bringing on the show here and there. So it's amazing, man. I can't say enough about it. I wouldn't say it's something I saw myself doing. You know what I'm saying? Tell me about it.
31:57James Harrison:I would not say I saw myself doing it, but at the end of the day, man, I do get enjoyed. I do get enjoyed. I enjoy, like, feeling that locker room feel again. You know what I mean? Like, just chopping it up with y 'all off. Like, this would be conversations between practice, somewhere in training camp. You know what I mean? We would be having in the locker room. So, you know, I do enjoy that a lot. How did it come about with you and Lenny? Man, so Lenny was just talking one day on Instagram saying he want to do a podcast. And I DM'd him right away. I was like, man, if you do a podcast, let me know, man.
32:30James Harrison:I love to either come on the show or whatever. And he was like, man, you should do it with me. And then from there, it just kind of came to life, man. Oh, that's perfect. Yeah, bro. Naturally. And we never really played together either, like you and Deebo, right? Yeah. We played. I mean, we ain't played together either. When I was there, I wasn't playing. Yeah, we were on the same team. You know what I'm saying? Me and Joe was kind of the same. Well, yeah, kind of the same thing. Actually, I was looking at doing it, whatever. Basically, we were looking for someone, and me and Joe ended up going to a camp softball charity game.
33:09We just started chopping it up like we had been kicking it for the last 15, 20 years. I'm like, yo. What about Joe? I'm like, yeah, all right. It works. And that's the best way to do it. Joe was like, yeah, man, I was thinking about doing one too. Like, I'm in the process. It's like, yo, here.
33:25James Harrison:That's the best way to do it, bro. That's the best way it happened naturally, authentically, organic. You know what I mean? That makes it easy. And y 'all boys got great chemistry. I be checking out the show all the time, bro. So keep up the great work, man. Appreciate it, brother. Appreciate it. When are y 'all on, man? Y 'all live? Y 'all recorded? What times do y 'all come on? So we go, we go Mondays and Thursdays. Okay. And our show normally drops like, sometimes it drop on Tuesday, sometimes it drop on Friday. But, you know, for the most part, man, we shooting, you know, every week. Like last week when, you know, Joe came on.
34:03James Harrison:I got on the show. Y 'all going to see me on. You know what I'm saying? It's actually releasing today. So it's perfect. You know what I mean? Yes. Check it out. Yeah. And it's, yeah, man, it's great, bro. It's great. Good vibe. Definitely. We going to get into the super chats on it, Debo? Yeah, we going to jump into them super chats right here. We got Liam90875. I'll appreciate you, Liam. He said, if his press man covers one-on-one, Joe Hayden versus Jarvis. Oh, man. Who? Beating who? Damn. Damn. Joe, why they always doing this stuff? Why they got to go like that? You already know. You already know how he's feeling.

37:51James Harrison:Big on big. We can't win some. I'm going to win some. That's it. Period. You know? That's it. Man, they too nice. They too nice. We respect each other, man. And we honest. Yeah. I know. That's why you got to jump on this net. Like, bro, you not about to stop me. I'm going to go ahead and get this seven-yard dig on this third and five, and you ain't going to do nothing about it. You see, it's like the game of receiver DB, right? It's like not only is it a chess match, right, but it's a little bit of I already know. I'm anticipating. Oh, that's what I'm saying. I anticipate going 10 for 10, right?
38:30James Harrison:Joe anticipate going 10 for 10. but realistically I just need one more catch you just need one more stop I just need one more stop that's really who win the battle you know what I mean that's how it goes you know what I'm saying so that's the best part it's always big alright hold up I can catch no balls and then score the touchdown and I feel like I want to match up let me give you scenarios let me give you scenarios alright it's an all out blitz oh zero coverage no free zero coverage Zero coverage. You need three yards. Oh, this is what I'm telling you. This is what I'm telling you. It just depends.
39:10James Harrison:This is what I'm telling you. It depends on the route. If he runs a go, he got me. If he runs anything under seven yards, I'm not moving. So I'm standing, feet planted. There's nothing he can do. I'm breaking the cross on the slant. So if he double moves me or something like that, I'm hit. And D-line, y 'all better get there. Because you ain't playing for the dough. Slant for the goal. It's zero coverage. You said zero. I was about to say, we outblitzing. We outblitzing. We outblitzing. A slant and go. Sluggo, touchdown. Yeah, but listen. But listen, awesome. Based on what I think about, Debo, based on the situation you just gave, I ain't got no time for no double move.
39:47James Harrison:That's what I'm saying. It's all outblitzing. It's all outblitzing. You know what I want? You know what I would want in that situation? What you want? I would want it. Just throw it to me on the line. Give me a little smoke. Smoke? Let me get that ball in my hand. And then, and then, yeah, and I know it's just me and Joe and now Joe got to tackle me. Quick, step back. Quick, step back. Just quick. I'll even come meet the ball just so I can get a little separation from Joe. Who winning? Who winning? Ball in your hand. Joe in front of you. Oh, I can get three. I can get three yards. It's really going to be how Joe react.
40:16James Harrison:It's really going to be on my reaction. That's what I like. It's really going to be matching. It's going to be how Joe react to me moving backwards. We're going to hit helmets. Yeah, for sure. We're going to bang it out. but if Joe if Joe don't react Joe don't react forward when I move backwards to catch the screen yes it's good we got a situation here yeah I need to get there this could go either way oh I'm running up I'm running up that's why I said I'm not I can't move yeah it depends on I wouldn't even run a I wouldn't run a go on on Joe and then also Joe knows it's an all out blitz he too smart to give up a slant you know what I'm saying if I run a go he'll cut me off you know what I'm saying so that ain't it ain't really a good The zero blitz joint is a defensive that's what we eat.
41:01James Harrison:Y 'all better get there. That's on y 'all, D-Bo. You know the ball coming out quick, acting blocked, looking all crazy. Hey, sometimes you gotta make an executive decision to fake coverage and get the pick for the 100, you know? Yes. But you look, but you engaged. This is true statement. We got Bossman, And$930975 said, Debo, what was Troy like in day-to-day practice? He's my favorite player of all time. And I wish he did more podcasts and stuff, but I get why he doesn't. I don't know. Troy was Troy. Like, he chill. Troy, listen, I ain't going to lie to you. That's my guy. Troy practiced like practice.
41:50James Harrison:because he was, man, he knew where he needed to be. Hey, hey, hey, you ain't got to show up. You know what you're going to do. Yeah. He get out now, yeah. You know, Troy was, you know, he was working through a lot of injuries when he played, too. So I was a little different. I'm liable to fire off on you. And practice. You know. Yeah, no question. Damn, teammate. If you're running the ball, you're getting hit. Going to see him, teammate. Oh, no question. Bro, listen, if you're running the rock, you're getting hit. Now, if it's a pass and you come across the middle, that's a different, I'm going to let you fly.
42:25But if you coming around that, you get that curl flat and you go to turn up, oh, yeah, I'm going to hit you and I'm going to let you go. Yeah, a little thug. You know, I used to like contact.
42:34James Harrison:A thousand percent. Damn. That's just the way things go. Coach, come get this, man. Come get this, man. We ain't going ones on ones, man. I'm going to go in when the two's going. Hey. for me but but i was the type of person man i needed to actually get the get the feel for it i need i need to have a the actual play like so me looking at it and just going over and over it did me no good like i'm like yo i need to know even if it's just the first you know five yards i gotta give it everything that you know i got and in that process if you in that five yards you go get that full speed yeah yeah that's what i would i would get into that training camp but them one-on-ones, all that.
43:13James Harrison:I love all that smoke. I love all that smoke because that's when you get better. That's when you really compete, man. Yeah, same. Yeah, for sure, brother. We got Boss Man back again. $2. It said, and Joe, any advice for my son playing flag football? He is six. You got any advice for him, Joe? Listen, just work on your flag pulling. Listen to your... Coach A. Work on your flag pulling. Listen Listen to your coach. Hopefully you got a good coach. It's all about... What if his coach is trash? It's all about right now. It honestly doesn't matter. It's all about effort. It's all about effort. All about trying your hardest.
43:52James Harrison:All about running in the direction of the other team that's pulling their flags. Literally. Deebo, there's not too much going on out there. We running... We running... It's seven people. We got two corners, two safeties, two backers and a rusher. Smooth. Y 'all get the rush? We got one rush. You got to be seven yards off the ball. Juice, you ever play flag? Hey, Jarvis, you want to get into the flag Olympics? Because Joe Burrow might be the quarterback if he don't come to Pittsburgh. Yeah, definitely. I definitely would be up. All I need, give me a good little month. A little month? All right.
44:25James Harrison:Hey, you still young. You still moving around? You still active? Yeah, yeah, I'm still active. I'll be honest. I don't lift as much anymore. I don't lift really, but I play pickleball a lot. I play pickleball. I rock with the pickleball. This pickleball I'm telling you That's some cardio That's some good cardio It's 70 something year old man out there It's the future bro I'm talking crazy Pickleball is the future The future of athletes transitioning I'm telling you When it's over with and you can't athlete no more You gotta move You just You just be You be dinking They call it Yes sir Yes sir That's it What's dink?
45:07James Harrison:You know I know Yeah we gotta get We got to get Debo out there, man. Debo don't even know. Yeah, we got to get Debo out there, man. Debo actually found the horizons. It make me not. This is the thing. The people that I see, I'm judgmental. Yes, I shouldn't be. But the body, not even the people, the body types that I see talking about playing Debo do not look like people that need to be talking about their good. That's the beauty of it. And they mess around and be nice. And I'm telling you. That'd be the coldest one. I'm telling you. Listen, if they beat me, we got to fight. See, pickleball is a frilly sport.
45:42James Harrison:If they beat me, we got to. It's a frilly sport. I'm fighting a 75-year-old man in the whooping and pickleball. Whooping your ass in pickleball. That's how I feel about them old liggas in golf. You got to come out of our fight or flight, bro. You golfing? I got all of the utensils. I just don't use them. You got all of the utensils. I just don't use them. Ain't nothing wrong with that, Jarvis. I ain't even got the utensils, bro. Listen, bro, I went out there and I called myself, you know, driving that thing. When I hit that thing, it boom, but it just shot, it shoots right off. You slicing it, you slicing it.
46:18So I figured if I swing harder, it might go straight. That ain't work. Hey, man, I'm pulling my... Damn. Oh, oh, you're muted. Yeah, I said, I don't know how I did it, but I pulled my delt somehow, like swinging the damn rock club. I don't do nothing but... That's what they say. See, you can't get hurt like that playing pickleball.
46:38James Harrison:Let the club do the work. You can't get hurt like that. You're not supposed to be swinging the golf club that hard, though. That's what I'm saying. It was somebody that just passed away playing pickleball, bro. Huh? What? Yes. An older man passed away playing pickleball. I guess he went to hit something. He fell, hit his head, was in a coma, and they ended up pulling the plug. I ain't lying to you. That's real talk. Well, I'm still. That's a freak accident. That's a freak accident. God rest his soul. For sure. Yeah. God rest his soul. That was strong. You ain't, what? You had to pull up, man. Bruh, I'm just telling you.
47:15It's dangerous. Nah, nah. You got to wear a helmet now. That would be something. You telling me you got to pick a ball with a helmet on?
47:21James Harrison:It's crazy. Pick a ball. Pick a ball is more dangerous than football. I'm telling you. Hey, let's get it started. Oh, man. Listen, y 'all heard it. Y 'all heard it from Jarvis right now, baby. Pickleball more dangerous than pickleball. Now don't be out there playing games. I love it. I love it. Juice. Juice, man. I want to let you know, man, I really, really, really appreciate you coming out on the show. Yes, sir. So much love, man. And anytime, anything you need from us, definitely hit me up. Yeah, man.
