In short
Nightcap Hour 1 recap and debate of Week 3 NFL games: Broncos vs Rams (Broncos comeback after a 16-0 deficit), Ravens vs Cowboys in Brazil (Ravens walk-off field goal after late Cowboys tie), and Steelers vs Bengals (Steelers stun Bengals 30-27).
Guests (hosts/regulars)
Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson (former Bengals WR; 6 Pro Bowls, All-Pro, Bengals receiving record holder) and “ISO Joe” (Joe Johnson; fantasy-focused co-host, described as a former Cowboys fan and 7-time NBA All-Star; co-host with the “gloating uncle” persona).
Key claims
Two questionable pass-interference calls in the Broncos-Rams game; Rams “shot themselves in the foot” with penalties and settling for field goals; Broncos’ Bo Nix late-game performance and defense “saved” them; Ravens’ late-game execution vs Cowboys included a critical timeout situation and a walk-off FG; Steelers’ defense forced a game-sealing strip-sack fumble on Joe Burrow.
Notable examples
Broncos scoring twice for two-point conversions to tie; Bo Nix citing multiple 4th-quarter comebacks; Ravens’ Zay Flowers involvement (Lamar route/run described); Derek Henry’s recent Ravens production referenced; Steelers’ Derek Harmon strip-sack.

7:24Shannon Sharpe:What a great day to be alive with both B-O-A-F of your teams one today. In dramatic fashion. You can't get any better than this. You cannot. Tonight, I'm the only one allowed to say foot or ball. That's it. Oh, Joe can't say nothing. Joe can't say nothing. Boy, the Bronco. Boy, you see how we did that? Spot him. Spot him 16. Track him down. We let the Cowboys tie this thing up and then go down the field and kick a field goal and win the thing in Brazil. That's a long way home with an L. But y 'all know who I am. I'm the gloating unk. That's right. That's me.
8:04Shannon Sharpe:I'm joined by my partners and co-hosts. They don't feel so good today, but it's going to get a lot worse. I can assure you of that. This guy from the Bengals. You know the Bengals always do. The Bengals are going to Bengals. They're going to do what they do, which is lose. Oh, man, made the Steelers look, made Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers look like the 70s Steelers going up and down the field. But y 'all know the Liberty City legend. The Bengal, Ring of Fame honoree, although he probably want to denounce that right now. But you know what? That ain't who he is. He's loyal to the soil. A six-time Pro Bowl, an all-pro, the all-time leading receiver in Bengal's history.
8:42Shannon Sharpe:That is Chad Ochocinco Johnson. And my other partner, he came with fantasy. His team came with a game. Hey, man, you got to chill, bro. I told you, Ochocinco, what we telling? The first three games, y 'all going to be at least the bare minimum is one and two. Yeah. One and two, I told y 'all. Hey, we tried to. Try to tell him. Can you finish my introduction, please? Okay, yeah. The Louisville Arkansas native. The Cowboy Rootin' Tootin' Joe. Y 'all know of a seven-time NBA All-Star. The All-NBA selection. And unfortunately, he's stuck with the rotten, stinking, no-good-for-nothing Cowboys. That is the one, the only, ISO Joe Johnson.

10:13Shannon Sharpe:I hurt for you Everybody hurts sometimes, but anyway It is the best tasting premium BSOP cognac on the market. It drinks like an XO without the price. Please, please drink responsibly and stay safe. As you just watched, my Broncos, I'm 2-0 on the evening, 2-0. My Broncos, what a comeback. The Rams came out hot. 16-0 lead. But in the second half, the Broncos had to have got the ball scored. Hey, both times, went for two, got it. 16 points to tie it up. And then in the fourth quarter, Bo Nix did what he does. I know everybody's going to be talking about, it looked like the Rams player intercepted the ball, Ocho.
10:56Shannon Sharpe:It was. Is that a no call? Is that a PI? Is it an interception? What should the call have been? They cheated.
11:01Joe Johnson:Listen, I'm a receiver. I'm a receiver. And even I know that's not pass interference. Now, I can see if the DB was able to interfere with the player and impede what he's trying to do. but he didn't. Feeling to have a hand on somebody is not pass interference. That was a great play by the DB. There's another call also in the Ravens game that was called that shouldn't have been a pass interference as well on Brother Wiggins. Yeah. So he had him armed but had him hooked. Man, I'm not sure. I don't know what the referee's looking at, man. I'm not sure what they do when they're in their meetings. But man, those are some bad calls.
11:41Joe Johnson:Those are two bad calls. They was bad, Ocho.
11:44Shannon Sharpe:That was bad. That was a pick. If it was pass interference, it was offensive pass interference because he kind of grabbed the DB a little bit. The DB picked it. I'm like, I'm sitting there watching on the couch. Ocho, how come they can't see that from a replay? Well, I mean, I didn't see no P.I., bro. I think the thing is the receiver did a great job of selling it because as he was jerking the guy down with one hand, he was flailing with the other. in the NBA they said they find guys for flopping that was a damn flop they don't find guys in the NFL Joe
12:19Joe Johnson:and this is the bad thing this is the bad thing about that call right that could have changed the way the game was going in general because that should have been Rams ball the fact that we have instant replay and the refs and no call came from New York or wherever they watch the replay from and say that was the interception and it wasn't pass interference says a lot about the game well you remember they tried
12:38Shannon Sharpe:that they tried to replay and to go back and replay a review pass interference call it didn't really go over well they really didn't change a whole lot of calls so they kind of did away with it I thought the receiver did a great job of selling it he made it seem like he was being held when actually he was holding and he had his arm in a good spot because the back judge couldn't see it the back judge can't see right because he had his hand here his back was to him and he flares with the left arm. And it's like, oh, yeah, he had to do something. And I didn't think, look, it was a bull jive call.
13:11Shannon Sharpe:I tweeted. It was a bull jive call, but I take it. Because I needed sweepstakes. I needed sweepstakes today. I needed both my teams to win. And I needed my teams to win in dramatic fashion because it hurts more when they – if we didn't win out and the Broncos to win by 20 points, that wouldn't have hurt as bad. Right, right. I mean, it's the mere fact of how we won both games and how your teams lost. Ocho, I told you, Joe Burrow did what again? Put the ball on the turf. Right, right. When it mattered most, when it mattered most, he listened. You do realize, Ocho, in the last eight minutes of the ball game
13:43Joe Johnson:in the fourth quarter, you know Joe Burrow is 1-34 in the regular season? Yeah, 1-34. When we're trailing. Yeah, when trailing. I know. I know. It's understandable. But listen, we started off 2-0. We let one get away from us. We let one slip away from us. Well, we're going to get to that game later. We're going to get to that game later.
13:56Shannon Sharpe:You thought y 'all was going to go 3-0? Hold on. Joe thought they was going to go all the way to Brazil. They go win that game and fly back happy. Ocho. Yeah, what's up, Joe? We might have to jump his ass, Ocho. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. You're doing too much, Turbo. The show ain't we. Just got started five minutes. Joe, I mean, the Broncos won. I told you we was going to be. Look, we laid a dud Sunday night, the first over the night. That's what we did. We did. We didn't play well. But I know we're more than capable. The defense. Look at the defense. picked him off. Yeah, Matthew Stafford, you look at the numbers, 30 of 55, 392 touchdowns, but they picked him off twice when it mattered the most.
14:39Shannon Sharpe:Got six out of that. Game is game ceiling interception. Sacked him four times. Pressured him numerous times. Joe, I'm just having a good time.
14:49Joe Johnson:I know you're happy. I know you're really happy, Joe. As you can see, he's gloating tonight. Rightfully so because both his teams won. But I thought the Rams Joe, when the game started in that first half, I thought the Rams fit in the running with the game man what but the way they was playing and bo nixon that offense really wasn't doing nothing the bronco defense didn't look good uh davante adams was doing what he wanted to do right there you know with number two out there yeah yeah that's his that's his crib tonight oh yeah i'm like what in the world happened when they came out in the second half yeah
15:22Shannon Sharpe:we got hot it takes a little while mile high magic the crowd got into the game you saw the crowd you You saw the camera started bouncing. I said, uh-oh, uh-oh, somebody in a heap of trouble. Somebody in a heap of trouble. Bo Nix says 2025, he has seven fourth-quarter comebacks, number one. Nine game-winning drives, number one. Twenty touchdowns when trailing by one score, number one. Twelve fourth-quarter touchdowns, tied for third. Thirteen touchdowns on third or fourth down, that's fourth. Five touchdowns on third down in the fourth quarter, that's tied for number one. That's what we do in Denver.
15:56Shannon Sharpe:It's magic.
15:58Joe Johnson:Do you believe in magic? Yeah. That defense saved you tonight. That defense saved you.
16:04Shannon Sharpe:I mean, Al Michaels had a famous saying in the 1980 Olympics. I know you was just a pup, Joe. You don't remember nothing like this. When we beat the Russians in Lake Placid, he asked, do you believe in miracles? Yes. Yeah, yeah. That's what it was tonight. It was a miracle. Do you believe in magic, Joe? Yes.
16:22Joe Johnson:Hey, you got to chill. Hey, Joe, he feeling good. Oh, man. He got it. He just, he doing way too. Hey, we gonna let you celebrate.
16:31Shannon Sharpe:You hear me? We gonna let you celebrate. Nah, nah, nah. Hey, man, you need to act like you've been here before, man. Why you acting like this? I've been here. Y 'all have been right where y 'all are, losing.
16:42Joe Johnson:It's all good.
16:43Shannon Sharpe:It's all good. I mean, what did you expect? I mean, the Bronx, I know y 'all was over there. I know you're like, yeah, Ocho. I know y 'all probably texted him. Ocho, we got him now. Ocho takes back. Yeah, we got him, Joe. I know y 'all did that. I know you did it. I know you did it.
17:00Joe Johnson:I'm not like that. I'm not like that. I'm like that. I was just enjoying the game. I was enjoying the game. I was enjoying the game, too. I bet you wasn't enjoying it more than I was. Damn. I mean, actually, in the first half, I was. In the first half, I was. I thought they were going to run away with it. But Bo Nix made some of the plays that he needed to. Played well offensively. Courtland Sutton had some really good catches. Hey, Jalen Waddell, we got to work on them drops, young boy.
17:25Shannon Sharpe:For sure.
17:26Joe Johnson:We got to work on the drops. I know you had one hell of a catch, you know, in the back of the end zone, but there's some other plays you could have had. You know, you could have got Jiggy with it. Outside of that, hey, that defense, man, is it Mufanga? Is that how you say it? Hufanga. Hufanga, hey. Well, salute the young bull, boy. You see how he passed that off and picked that back to the flat? And you know what? I understand why Matt Stafford threw that because he thought he went with the tight end. He wasn't supposed to be there. Yeah, he wasn't supposed to be there. Man, that was a great, great, great play.
Read the full transcript
17:58Joe Johnson:That was a great play. Great play. So what you think about it?
18:01Shannon Sharpe:You like the game, Joe? That was a good game, wasn't it? So chill, Ocho, chill. It was a good game. Listen, I thought in the second half when Denver kind of settled in, you know, they made some huge plays defensively, Unk and Ocho. And I don't know what it is, bro. It just seemed like the Rams, I don't know if they got tied in the second half, but they ain't had that same Unk. I like to look back and forth in the fourth quarter. You know, I like Stafford. He threw the pick. He ain't let that bother me. Come right back and throw a damn touchdown. You know what I mean? So I thought it was a good shootout, especially toward the end.
18:34Shannon Sharpe:Good game. You know, had my attention the whole time. But, damn, if you the Rams, you shoot yourself in the foot, bro. You got to be pissed about this one. 16-0 at half, and you blow that? Yeah. But I think the thing was that they hurt themselves with the penalties getting backed up. You're going to kick field goals enough. Somebody's going to bite you. They're going to get you. Oh, yeah. They're going to get you. Absolutely. Because you guess what? You kick three field goals. You get a touchdown in one of them. We might have a different game. We might be going to overtime. We don't know. Maybe you're lining up.
19:08Shannon Sharpe:Now you're kicking the game-winning field goal to walk it off. Yeah. But you left – especially on the road. On the road, points are at a premium. You cannot kick field goals. Field goal gets you beat. And that's what happened to the Rams. They kicked too many field goals. Like you said, guys, they were going up and down the field in the first half. But they couldn't. Matthew Stafford, he missed Devontae Adams twice. Devontae ran an out and up. Sertan slipped. Overshot him. That's got to be a touchdown. That's got to be a touchdown. You can't miss opportunities like that because you don't know they're fleeting.
19:43Shannon Sharpe:You don't know if and when you'll get those back in that game. But this was, look, the Broncos, they showed me something tonight because I was like, damn, y 'all going to go out like this? Y 'all going to let Ocho and Joe clown me like this?
19:58Joe Johnson:Matter of fact, listen, if the Broncos lost, I wasn't even going to say nothing. I wasn't going to say nothing. You couldn't say nothing because your team stunk. No, no. Wait, whoa, whoa. Calm down. Calm down. Calm down. We didn't stink. We lost by three.
20:10Shannon Sharpe:Joe, don't do that. I told you stunk because I keep telling you, oh, that defense. We got a defense. is y 'all gave up 30 points to a team that could barely get three that could barely get seven points last week they got 30.
20:22Joe Johnson:this is the division game this is what happens when we when you play a division opponent you know each other very well huh are y 'all oh wait oh we on the wrong game we

27:02How many times have we talked to an actor who took a big risk with a challenging role because they believed they could pull it off? Well, it's a lot easier to take those risks when you've got the practical stuff covered. And that's what Geico does so well. Imagine an actor driving to set to film the scene that's going to win them an Oscar They're focusing on the scene Not on dealing with managing an insurance claim Because Geico is handling that And they don't even expect a shout out in the acceptance speech Geico provides peace of mind and they'll do the same for you Maybe it's not an Oscar winning performance Maybe it's building a career Starting the business you've dreamed about Or just taking care of your family Whatever you're betting on, Geico will make sure you're covered.

28:12Shannon Sharpe:field goal as they walk it off. Tell me, can somebody tell me why the Cowboys would kick a touchback? Why not squibber it and keep it in the field of play? Because you kick it, but anyway, that's neither here nor there. But anyway, that puts the ball at the 35 yard line. You do realize that, right, Joe? Did the Cowboys realize that? That if you kick the ball in the end zone, it goes to the 35? So, guess what? A 20 yard play, guess what? We in field goal range. You know what? It's hard when you have Lamar Jackson back there and all those weapons, Uncan Ocho, and you can't generate pressure on him and you let him sit back there and just pick your ass apart like he did us today.
28:54Shannon Sharpe:So that's pretty much what it is. And then guess what? If you do have everybody covered, he out the back door on your ass. He gone. Yep. You know what I mean? I'm not going to lie. The Ravens is a hell of a team, bro. I thought we'd done a pretty good job on De 'Aaron Henry, though. I'll let you talk about he going to run for 400. And all that. How many times they went for it on fourth down
29:12Joe Johnson:didn't get it y 'all stopped him you right hey he had 26 carries two tds with 89 he had 89 yards
29:20Shannon Sharpe:well i don't know what the offensive line was doing leaving it first of all on the fourth and one they left the mic backer unblocked though till he ran right through the gap when he came
29:28Joe Johnson:through the gap yeah 55 a rookie huh i think so yeah hey hey he was balling down the tight end
29:36Shannon Sharpe:got jacked up the tight end went went tippy toy and the guy the end jacked his ass up saw him and derrick henry lap he couldn't get started but that's not to hear no that i mean look i all that i don't want to get into the money hey yeah hey y 'all won huh y 'all won yeah yeah all that other stuff joe talk about we he's gonna run for 400 yards did we win the game yeah yeah sensational 15 to 20 186 two touchdowns no turnovers i could deal with that it was a great game What do you mean? You act like y 'all just put BTA to us. It was a good game, man. Y 'all won on the field goal. Walk off. Walk off.
30:14Shannon Sharpe:Ocho. Ocho. Chat. My phone ring as soon as the damn game over with. I'm like, damn, who could be calling me? Wait, hold on, Joe. He call you? Man, man, he blowing my phone up after the game, Ocho. Hold on, man.
30:32Joe Johnson:He called your phone. He didn't even wait for the show.
30:34Shannon Sharpe:he called yes oh joe i didn't answer the first one because you know i know he didn't want nothing i know he didn't want nothing he called right back you know what i mean he called right back like damn what's up man oh joe joe say man what you want i just called i just called to see if you needed something he said man you know i ain't need hey he said man you man you know i ain't need nothing man.
31:04Joe Johnson:Come on man. Damn. Listen. Hey listen. The Ravens won. The Ravens did win the game. It was a good game though. It was a great game. It was a really good game.
31:14Shannon Sharpe:It's a great game if you're on the winning side.
31:17Joe Johnson:No no no no no. It was a great game regardless of who won this game. Listen. No no no no no.
31:23Shannon Sharpe:Ain't no regardless. No no no no no no no. Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. If y 'all beat us by damn 21 okay that's one thing but it we was in a fight.
31:32Joe Johnson:Yeah it
31:32Shannon Sharpe:a good fight and you lost oh y 'all barely got out of there the ref stopped it y 'all barely got out of there sometimes you lose the fight though sometimes you ain't gonna win everyone hey hey you gonna find that out next week hey ocho hold on that number 55 and then number six i think both of them rookies ain't they uh yeah for the cowboy boy them boy down there ain't playing boy hey 55 i don't know young boy name bro what is it what's his name bro what's his name oh hey For the Cowboys, number 55. Oh, Barham. Barham. Boy, that boy, they be ballin', boy. Deshaun Barham. Ocho, he was ballin' in preseason, but you know, everybody like, oh, it's preseason, he ain't X, Y, Z.
32:18Shannon Sharpe:Man, that boy for real out there. Yeah, he nice with it. Y 'all need to get some more for real out there, because y 'all wasn't for real. Yeah, hey, look, look, look, y 'all got us over in Brazil, because that was a home game for us. We left Jerry World to go to Brazil and play you boy. But we, you know, we - It's been the same thing. Y 'all, it'd have been the same thing in Dallas. It wasn't nothing changed. No, no, no, yeah, yeah. We lost to a better team. We lost to a better team. Y 'all was a good team today. I'ma give y 'all credit. But you got to relax though. You got a lot going on. Y 'all ain't a good team.
32:46Shannon Sharpe:You got a lot - We're a good team. The Ravens are a good team. Y 'all not. Here we go. My team's two and one. We gonna put BTA to Ochoa in a couple of weeks.
32:57Joe Johnson:Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
32:59Shannon Sharpe:The Ravens. Yeah.
33:01Joe Johnson:Oh, you know what? Don't worry about it. No, and you feel you feel yourself. You feel yourself. Not bother nobody.
33:08Shannon Sharpe:Oh, I'm just I'm just over here. I'm just
33:11Joe Johnson:Well, listen, I'm coming up here with confetti and everything. Next time the Broncos or Ravens lose. Huh? I'm a pretty Joe. Why do you know that? Hey, Joe, I'm gonna bring my smoke machine out. Yeah, I'm a smoke. We're gonna have a party boy.
33:25Shannon Sharpe:Hey, can I ask you all a question? No, seriously, about Baltimore, if they got to continue to win shootouts like this, how far y 'all think they'll be able to go? Boy, they showed me to Zay Flowers. I was glad he was back today. Hey, I'm like, come on.
33:41Joe Johnson:Yeah, Zay, Zay, they not getting Zay involved enough, huh? They not getting him involved enough. I mean, he had a five-eight-four.
33:48Shannon Sharpe:But you got to realize, Ocho, they only threw the ball 20 times.
33:51Joe Johnson:Yeah.
33:53Shannon Sharpe:They only threw the ball 20 times. And, look, the Cowboys had 70 plays. They ran 12 more plays than the Ravens. The Cowboys were doing a great job, but they couldn't get the ball in the end zone. Yeah, absolutely right. Damn three points ain't going to help us, bro. We need seven, six. Hey, hey, hey, Joe. What I didn't get, Ocho, on that third down? Yes, sir. Why he just throw the ball over Pig Head? You don't even want to give him a chance. Look, get in the end zone. I'm gonna take a shot in the end zone knowing that I can't throw the ball in the field of play Cuz if I get tackled in bounds, I'm not gonna get I'm not gonna be able to get another playoff Why would you just shoot the ball over his head?
34:33Shannon Sharpe:You don't even give him a chance Hey, I am man What bro just give him a chance. I thought they should have gave I thought they should have gave him a chance and it looked like that was disappointed that he just backed up and just throw the ball over his head. Like they just conceded, okay, we'll go to overtime. Right, there's time on the clock, but I thought the special teams also. You cannot kick that ball in the end zone, Ocho. Yeah. Joe, you can't. Because if you kick it in the end zone, it comes to the 35. A 20-yard completion, I think that completion was what, 22? Bro, damn field goal range.
35:17Shannon Sharpe:And with these kicker's legs now, Ocho? when you and I played Ocho, that probably was going to be a Hail Mary attempt. Now, 60 yards and under, maybe 65 and under. They're tipping the field goal. Yeah, it's about three or four kickers. You see Cam Little try to 70. He had the leg. He was just off a little bit. These guys now can kick the ball. 60 yards is like a 50-yarder used to be. Yep, most definitely. Hey, what's the difference in it nowadays? is why y 'all think it is now you think guys practice these deep kicks now no i mean you
35:53Joe Johnson:have to think most of the most of the people that can kick that far they have a soccer background they they come they come with brandon aubrey soccer cam little also soccer um there's one more god i can't remember his name who's other other kicker that has a very very strong leg really strong leg i can't remember who it is joe it's one more they had the soccer background soccer is their first sport.
36:17Shannon Sharpe:But these kickers are lifting more now. The kickers in the past, they really ain't lifting. These jokers lifting on their legs. That swing, as fast as they can swing that leg now, you look at these guys kicking the ball, everybody can kick the ball in the end zone. But they back off it just to pooch it so they don't want somebody starting at the 35. That's why teams don't really kick the ball in the end zone anymore. But I'm just trying to figure out. I don't know why they did. I don't know why the Rape, excuse me, the Cowboys did what did. Here's Lamar on the timeout with one second remaining.
36:52Shannon Sharpe:Let's take a listen to what Lamar had to say.
36:56Joe Johnson:Yeah, it was a get-down timeout situation. It's something we've been practicing since camp. We were practicing almost every day after camp, probably mixing in practice sometimes. We were surprised because we didn't go over that all week. We wasn't expecting to be in a situation like this. But Coach called the play. We all, everyone was on the same, same, same timing. Zay did a great job. Line did a great job at protecting. Zay ran a great route and I just had to deliver the baby. He called it and I was just, as soon as he get down, I was, please see me, ref. But he did. Shout out to everyone. Shout out to the whole offense, defense, man, and special team.
37:35Shannon Sharpe:Man, they ain't get that time out in time. He got time out? I saw him. He got it. He got it. Come on, man. Come on.
37:41Joe Johnson:Hey, Joe, and it wasn't even Lamar calling. and boy, everybody was calling timeout once he caught that ball. The time had to ran off.
37:49Shannon Sharpe:No. Y 'all chances of winning had ran off. That's what they ran out. Y 'all chances of winning. The Ravens started to drive with seven seconds left in regulation. That is the latest start to a game-winning drive off of a kickoff since 1978, including the playoffs. This is the first game in the Super Bowl era, Super Bowl era goes back to 1966, that each team made a field goal in the last 10 seconds of the fourth quarter. Hey, that's crazy. That hurt, Joe. The problem is - I mean, it hurt like jumping on a bicycle without the seat. Well, maybe it hurt that much, but that hurt. Hey, the problem is we America's team, but we was in Brazil, okay?
38:31Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. That's the problem here. Hey, man, you know that man, when that man didn't get that time out, and we're supposed to be going in overtime, man, hell. Y 'all was going to lose, Joe. Now we wasn't. Now we wasn't. We going to win in overtime. Well, I don't know what would happen, Joe.
38:47Joe Johnson:I got a question, Joe.
38:49Shannon Sharpe:Yes.
38:49Joe Johnson:Yes. Hey, what my boy, what pickings numbers look like today?
38:54Shannon Sharpe:He had a couple catches. He had seven for 82, Ocho. Okay. On 11 targets. Okay. Okay. Man, damn pick catches here and we lose. His catches don't mean nothing. We lose, Ocho.
39:06Joe Johnson:Well, maybe if he had more of the goddamn ball. Nah, nah, nah, nah.
39:09Shannon Sharpe:Nah, nah, nah, nah, damn that. If we ain't have to try to force feed him and we just play ball, we can win the game. His numbers may not be as got it. Hell, hey, hey, it's early in the season, man. Okay. Damn, you got Dak out here trying to force feed everybody, man, we ain't got time for all that, man. We need doves. Y 'all got time for it, y 'all need to make time. No, we ain't got time for that. We ain't got time for that. Hey, hey, hey, hey, Pete gonna get his fast share, bro, but we can't force feed, we, hey, I don't know, man. When? It was real discouraging.
39:41Joe Johnson:Hey, Joe, y 'all gonna be all right, Joe. It's only week three.
39:44Shannon Sharpe:Joe, y 'all not gonna be all right. I told you this, y 'all got more disappointment coming. Oh, y 'all gonna be straight, Joe. We don't plan on going 16-0, okay? But I do expect for us to have games like this or where we fight, obviously we come up a little short. But man, listen, we got to be better, bro.
40:05Joe Johnson:Hey, you know - Oh, oh, oh, Joe.
40:08Shannon Sharpe:Yo, y 'all got the Texas next week.
40:11Joe Johnson:Oh yeah, that might be a win, Joe, because the Texas 0-3 now.
40:14Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, them folks by the fold, they 10 over there in Texas. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But nah, nah, nah, nah. But their defense gonna get after you, though. The offensive slow. Their defense gonna get after you. I ain't putting nothing past the Texans here. There's two Texas teams who gonna fight it out. Y 'all already know. The Texans, they looking for their first win. I ain't putting nothing past them. We got some work to do. Where we playing at? Where we playing at? and then they got green Bay and Houston and Houston you want to let go to the game Joe
40:47Shannon Sharpe:no what's up what you what you doing all that for and then y 'all get the Buccaneers Buck Bakers out then you get the Packers the Eagles the Cardinals the Colts the 49ers y 'all got a break with the Titans then y 'all get the Eagles the Seahawks the Rams the Jags Oh, man. There ain't no playoffs. Hey, you guys slow down. We're going to win.
41:09Joe Johnson:Hey, you foreseeing the future? No playoffs? No playoffs for the Cowboys.
41:15Shannon Sharpe:Man, please. Ocho, we're going to run off by four in a row. We're going to run off by four in a row. Hey, listen, Joe, I'm with you when you're right. I'm with you when you're right. Y 'all must be having some bad food. That's the only running off y 'all going to do. What y 'all eat that was bad tore y 'all stomach up.
41:29Joe Johnson:Hey, Joe, I support you, man. I understand. I understand how you feel.
41:33Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, misery loves company, Joe. His team lost. That's why he support you. If his team were the one, you think he'd be supporting you, Joe? Yeah. You got to chill, bro. I just asked you, Joe. No, no, no, no. I'm just saying. I'm saying you doing the most right now. I'll just let you know you're doing the most. Okay, but let me ask you this. In all honesty, in all sincerity, do you believe had Ocho team won, he would be as supportive as he is currently? Yeah, because – Hell no. He be on your team right now, talking big boys now. I ain't no fool now. Hold on, hold on. I ain't no fool now. Hold on.
42:08Shannon Sharpe:I ain't no fool now. I know what's going on, okay? But he feel like he in the same boat with me, so he want to team up and all that. Yeah, yeah. Hold on, hold on.
42:17Joe Johnson:Hey, Joe, see, time out. Hold on, hold on. What you talking about, Joe? See what I'm talking about? See, I wouldn't have done that, because I beat your ass in goddamn fantasy today. I ain't even say nothing. Hey, honk, I ain't even say nothing. So now you're telling me I wouldn't, I wouldn't. So you know what? Okay, well, fuck it then. I'll whip your ass in fantasy. That's why the Cowboys lost.
42:35Shannon Sharpe:But hey, Joe, Ocho, I told him to start Trevor Lawrence. He won't listen. Look what Trevor Lawrence did today.
42:44Joe Johnson:Hey, but hold on. He's a Cowboy fan, so he have to go with his quarterback. Hold on. Can I say something?
42:49Shannon Sharpe:Can I say something? Can I say something? It's still early, not only in the NFL season, but in fantasy as well. I'm still trying to work some things out. Hell, I didn't even know Puka wasn't playing today, okay? And he started Nico Collins, and we told him Nico Collins was going to be out. Yep. Damn. Started the other wide receiver game, plenty of points. Running back, plenty of points. Don't worry about you. Harold Fenton Jr. had 25. He benched Harold Fenton and picked up likely. Harold Fenton hadn't done nothing. He hadn't done nothing in the first two damn weeks. What you want me to do? It's only week three.
43:22Joe Johnson:You just said it was week three. It's early in the season.
43:24Shannon Sharpe:Well, listen, man, I got I got to switch up my line up. We still trying to work some things that we're trying Still trying to work some team chemistry out. So I'm trying to find out who work together You know what I mean? So it may take us a little while before we take off and start running, but it's okay Y 'all gonna laugh now. Hey you fun, but I promise you boy I'm be I'm becoming up the tailpipe now. I ain't gonna be playing No, no, you keep yeah, Paul. Hey, uh, but you keep on starting day. You just know you keep starting
43:55Shannon Sharpe:Coming up the tailpipe. At some point. Hey, let's throw the challenge. We got to challenge this, man. Hey, hey, hey. Hey, at some point, at some point, we just get too damn grown now for all this. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying something like, dang, we can't even have a conversation. Like, come on now. Hey, up the tailpipe, Joe? Come on, man. Come on, man.
44:18Chad, man, hey.
44:20Shannon Sharpe:I mean, Joe talking about team chemistry. Like these guys play together. Yeah, I got to figure it out. I got to figure out which lineups work good, you know? I ain't going to lie. Clearly not the lineups that you've been playing. Trevor Lawrence has been playing well today. You know, hell, the Jags look good. So why you ain't playing? We going to see. Unki's still early. Give me some time. If I was you, I would not start Dak Prescott next week. That would be if I was you. I'm not you, so.
44:55Joe Johnson:Hell no. Hey. But y 'all got me. You got me in tears.
45:00Shannon Sharpe:Dak Prescott said after the game, frustrated, embarrassed, you can't call yourself G-O-T-I and not get it done. There are three. They're at the one-yard line. We should have never put the defense in that position. He right. Because you know what? How you call yourself greatest offense there is? Right. Whoa, whoa, whoa.
45:20Joe Johnson:Hey, hold on. They offense is like that, though.
45:23Shannon Sharpe:No, it ain't.
45:23Joe Johnson:They like that.
45:24Shannon Sharpe:Did you not see him at the one yard line? Did you see him at the three yard line with a chance to get the ball and win the game?
45:29Joe Johnson:Yeah, I saw that. And you said they like that? I'm saying they all like that.
45:32Shannon Sharpe:I've seen y 'all had four for one a couple times and didn't get it. It happens. Uh-oh. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Uh-oh. We won the game. So you don't have to look at our miscues. We're talking about yours. That cost you the game. Okay, hey, hey, the same thing. What's that you say? What did he say, Ocho? The same thing. You taking the win. You won't take – what did he say? hey you know anything in the wind you look to the loss yeah okay all right I don't know where we gonna lose again we might not lose no more this year hey um I could I promise you I promise
46:02Joe Johnson:y 'all lose next Sunday against the 49ers I I bet that I bet that I bet I bet they put up 40. hold on who y 'all talking about the Broncos or the Ravens about the Broncos the Broncos play the rim I mean play all the 49ers now where they play the 49ers at it don't matter where they play man Shanahan, man, Shanahan finna go crazy on y 'all, man.
46:21Shannon Sharpe:You see that defense. When that defense, when we had to buckle down, what do we do?
46:27Joe Johnson:Y 'all didn't buckle down in that second half. I ain't going to lie to you. I ain't going to hold you.
46:31Shannon Sharpe:Man, don't let him fool you. That man over there putting him farting at the end of the game because he ain't know what was going on. Hey, he was scared. You already know it. All I know, we gave up 10 points in the second half and scored 30. Now you figure that. Now how we do that? Hey, y 'all was good, though. And I was over here like Steve Urkel, then we do that.
46:57Shannon Sharpe:Joe, man, your team. Ah, man, Joe. Hey, you see, Brian Schottenheimer took blame for the third down throwaway, saying he overcoached Dak on what to do. Dak said the coverage that they were playing 99 out of 100 times, they're supposed to cover GP. That corner is supposed to be outside leverage, funneling him to the inside, to the safety. GP, GP, GP. He did a great job winning regardless. I said I wish I could have this. Hey, just sank on my back foot and throw the ball to the front pylon and trusted it. But it's one of those things you read the coverage and you say, well, they're not giving it to you.
47:33Shannon Sharpe:And it's unfortunately. I threw the ball away.
47:41Shannon Sharpe:That's the one. It should have been a Michigan play, Ocho. You remember the Michigan play? I was Michigan. Yeah. Back shoulder. Front pylon. Yeah. Bingo. Remember when Derrick Henry was a free agent and publicly stated interest in the Cowboys, which never reciprocated. Derrick Henry has 3 ,600 and 60 rushing yards and 36 touchdowns since joining the Ravens. Both are most since 2024. He has 432 more yards and 15 more touchdowns than the number two ranked back, Saquon Barkley.
48:13Joe Johnson:Hey, but think about this, Hunk. Think about the system that he's in right now with the Ravens. Going from Tennessee to the Ravens was the perfect fit for Derrick Henry for the type of back he is. Another running team. Yes. If he went to the Cowboys, I don't think
48:28Shannon Sharpe:he would have the same success. No, because they're going to throw the ball. They got too much money tied up in their quarterback and they're going to want to throw the football. I thought Javante Williams was running the ball really well. I thought they should have ran him a little more than what they did. Yeah.
48:42But it's over.
48:44Shannon Sharpe:I'm not one that like to, you know, I don't like, my grandma used to always say, boy, stirring up, old poop, it's still smell.
48:49Joe Johnson:Yeah.
48:50Shannon Sharpe:I don't like to keep stirring up old stuff and talking about the Cowboys' law. We knew this was gonna happen. What you mean we knew it was gonna happen? I foretold that. I told you y 'all was gonna lose when the schedule came out. I said, y 'all losing to Brazil to the Ravens. I told you that. Damn, Joe. I told y 'all gonna lose over the night to the Giants. Man, that was, hey, listen, that was a good game, bro. We lost a good game today. I don't know what he got going on tonight. Hey, Joe, I don't know either, Joe. That LaPorte got him tripping. That Laporte got him tripping tonight. It's okay.
49:19Shannon Sharpe:Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Why are you over there bumping your gums, Ocho? The Steelers beat the Bengals. 30 to 27. Ocho, you another one. Can't say foot or ball. Steelers defensive end Derek Harmon forced a game-sealing strip sack fumble on Joe Burrow to win the game. Here's Burrow after the game.

53:44Shannon Sharpe:And they try to cheat too. Who that, who that, Joe? The Bengals, they try to cheat.
53:51Joe Johnson:Why we try to cheat?
53:52Shannon Sharpe:Because Warren, Warren broke that damn eight or seven yarder, they call it damn holding play. It was holding Joe? Man, that man wasn't no holding, man. DK You can't even hold that man Ocho.
54:02Joe Johnson:How you think he even broke, he even got that far? How you think he ran some yards? Dude couldn't even see, he. It was holding. This, holding. Their roles gotta take ownership of themselves.
54:19Guys gotta take ownership of their roles, gotta take ownership of themselves. And, you know, just be smart situational football players.
54:29Shannon Sharpe:Hmm.
54:31Joe Johnson:What happened? Did I miss something, Ocho? Hey, he said, be smart situational football players. And he understands that. I wish he would have addressed the mistake at the end of the game. Yes. To say, obviously, that is one of the reasons why, when we had the opportunity to have points, I think we – wait, hold on. It's one of those plays when a field goal range. When a field goal range will actually tie the game, if I'm not mistaken. Yeah. And to fumble that play and lose it, it's happened countless times before. but it's not the first time. It's not the first time. So I'm not sure who is addressing, you know, directly.
55:08Joe Johnson:Again, most of the time when Joe Burrow speaks, he speaks in cryptic format. So you have to piece together, you know, what he's trying to say. Listen, we let a game get away from us. I know we have a lot of Steeler fans that are probably in the chat. Steeler fans, I salute you all. I enjoy the back and forth, the banter today, the talking trash. You know what? I love it. Outside of that, the game is over. Until we meet again. So now I love y 'all. I love you all for now until we meet again. So congrats on that win.
55:36Shannon Sharpe:If that worm didn't stick his hand up there and trip Jay LaWarn, he should have scored a touchdown. He got walked down on the 87 yarder, and then he fumbled. He was clear. What's nobody doing? And he just stumbled. He relaxed. He relaxed. He's seen it clear in front of him. He relaxed, and I think he lost his footing. Joe got blow, he blowed on that long run when dude walked him down. Oh, he got blowed. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. That monkey jumped on his back, weighted his ass down. I'm saying real talk. Y 'all think that was holding on DK. I thought him and old boy were locked up, but I didn't think it was like.
56:14Shannon Sharpe:Come on, man. How was he going to get to that damn tackle? Hey, Joe, he would have got there if he wasn't being held, Joe. He wasn't going to get there. DK just grown here. DK just manhandled and had them clamps on him. Yeah. Like I put them hands on Ocho when I like, you know what I'm saying? Like when you check all the change out of the pocket Joe. See what I mean?
56:32Joe Johnson:See what I mean? I thought we was on the same page. Now here you go to about putting your hands on me.
56:38Shannon Sharpe:See, I told you.
56:40Joe Johnson:I can't trust nobody on the show.
56:43Shannon Sharpe:My bad Ocho. My bad. I got a little too emotional. It's cool. I said my bad.
56:48Joe Johnson:You showing your true color Joe.
56:49Shannon Sharpe:I said my bad. I got a little too caught up in the, you know what I mean?
56:52Joe Johnson:just chill okay okay but listen joe joe listen the steelers won the game today you know joe burrow had a good game you 28 28 for 30 what 37 three tds uh damn man we ran the ball okay chase brown had 61. uno had nine for 98. t higgins had a crazy catch hey joe sitting on the ground with that
57:16Shannon Sharpe:thing yeah i seen it was nice on the ground i think uh get sick he caught a nice touchdown
57:21Joe Johnson:Oh yeah, that was dope. Hey, Darnell Washington. Y 'all didn't want to tackle him, Ocho.
57:28Shannon Sharpe:On that little out ride that he caught, y 'all didn't want to tackle him.
57:31Joe Johnson:It went up the sideline. Hey, Darnell Washington. Hey, stop doing the players like that, man. Every year, man, you keep doing this every time we play, y 'all, man.
57:40Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, y 'all didn't want to get... Be respectful.
57:42Joe Johnson:Have some sportsmanship.
57:44Shannon Sharpe:Hey, Ocho, y 'all got to get Aaron Rodgers' credit now because he was willing to deal in that first half. He was moving good in that pocket today. I don't know what last week was about, but this week, that boy wasn't playing, Uncle Ocho. He was getting that ball out of there.
57:58Joe Johnson:Hey, he was cursing his players out. You saw that clip?
58:02Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Hey, he's like, man, this sorry sucker can't catch
58:07Joe Johnson:or something like that. But it was funny, boy. He was frustrated.
58:10Shannon Sharpe:Wilson needed to get some stick-em on his glove or something.
58:13Joe Johnson:Oh, that's who that was that dropped that ball? 14. Hey, he was hot, boy. The only thing is, I will say this.
58:20Shannon Sharpe:Don't talk about know your assignments. Joe, you had an opportunity to potentially win the game or send the game to overtime. The ball was in your hand. You got script sack. This is not the first time that this has happened. I don't like the throwing of the blame talking about know the assignment. Did you know your assignment that you need to hold on to the ball? Don't do that. Don't do that. What we do is that we hold ourselves accountable. And in that situation, ain't nobody hear what you're saying about know your assignments, everybody got to do X, Y, and Z. All they hear, people hear, is that you're trying to throw blame on somebody else to why you lost.
58:57Shannon Sharpe:And they saw at the end of the ball game, as Ochoa said, you was a potentially field goal range, or you could have went down and scored because there were 44 seconds on the clock. You had more than enough time to get that ball into the end zone or kick a game-time field goal. You got sacked. You lost the ball.
59:14Joe Johnson:they got it back hey matter of fact hey what about what that strips you know what i don't he wouldn't do that though he wouldn't call out he wouldn't call out his linemen so i'm not sure who he's addressing well he would know what i think he's he's like kind of scrambled outside the pocket to the left yeah yeah i mean if you know you can feel that pressure once you feel that pressure they get you off your spot i mean you you get you get antsy with that ball yeah
59:40Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, that's my biggest pet peeve. At the end of the game, it's easy to say this or that, but don't nobody hear that because don't nobody know who you're talking to. All they know is that the last time the Bengals had the ball, the ball was in Joe Burrow's hands. That's where we want it. And somehow the Steelers ended up with him. So either he threw a pick or he fumbled, which in either case, he has to do a better job. Sacks are going to happen, but you got to do a better job of protecting the football. Same thing with a runner. You got to protect the football. He did not do a good enough job of protecting the football in that situation.
1:00:20Shannon Sharpe:You're right, Ocho. 28-37, 283, three touchdowns. Got marred one play. One play changed the whole completion of the game. He did a great job holding on to the ball all day long, but when they really needed him, because like I said, it doesn't matter how great your offense is. Can you go down there and get the game-time field goal, the game-winning field goal, or the game-winning touchdown? That's how you measure offense. Defensively, can you stop? You saw the Broncos come up with a big-time stop when they absolutely had to have it. What good is all them sacks they got and all them pants are tanned and a fanger and all those guys up front if you can't get no stop?
1:01:01Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, you're right. You're right. Rodgers Rodgers tied Ben Roethlisberger for the fifth most quarterback wins in history Jalen Warren was told he had 127 yards I'm just trying to figure out how to make oh Joe I just see what did he see oh Joe he just stumbled that man posted had at least 180 yards maybe 200 yeah maybe 200 you're right I don't know what I'm telling you I think he relaxed because he seen it with nobody in front of him and he felt man I'm just I was gonna walk this thing in and trip. Oh my God.
1:01:37Joe Johnson:Hey, either them spaghetti legs or seeing all that space and your mind going faster than your legs going, and you lose yourself a little bit. That's the only thing I could think of.
1:01:50Shannon Sharpe:He had just, well, Ocho, he had just made that 87 yard run too, and they called it back. Oh, his leg was gone, boy. Yeah, it probably played a huge part in why he tripped. Like, I was like, damn. And then came, and guess what? and came right back and got another long run, Ocho. Yeah. And, Joe, you told me your defense was like that. And they giving up 80-yard runs and then turn around and give up a 50-yarder back-to-back?
1:02:14Joe Johnson:Hold on, hold on. Time out, time out, time out. Okay, I'm listening. Our defense is like that. I couldn't tell. Hold on. Right now, statistically, I mean, we still ranked at the top of the league right now defensively. You hear me? It don't matter.
1:02:26Shannon Sharpe:Y 'all gave up 30 points. We was talking about last week how old and how bad Aaron Rodgers Look, how did he look today against that Varner defense?
1:02:36Joe Johnson:What have we always seen from Aaron Rodgers? We've seen him have bad games, and then we've seen him show flashes of his old self. As long as he showed that flashes against y 'all, I'm good. Huh? As long as he showed the flashes against y 'all. Hey, don't worry about it. Hey, this is going to be short-lived because we 2-1 just like your Broncos. Huh? Hey, what's your Ravens record? 2-1. Oh, okay. Well, I'm just saying we all in the same boat. Nah, we're not in the same boat, are we, Joe?
1:03:03Shannon Sharpe:Hey, keep me out of it, bro. Joe Boat got a hole in it. That made me know you. Why you had to bring me into this?
1:03:09Joe Johnson:Hey, Joe, you see? I ain't even say nothing, Joe. He trying to get me to jump on top of your head, Joe. Damn.
1:03:14Shannon Sharpe:But, hey, Ocho, you the man just talking about he gonna put hands on you. Now you side with it? Hey, he did just say that, huh? Yeah. Oh, Ocho, Ocho. When I put these hands on Ocho. I like, well, damn. Ocho, don't let that man come in between us, bro. Nah, Joe, nah.
1:03:28Joe Johnson:Joe, you want to put hands on me, Joe. You right. Ocho. You and them cowgirls.
1:03:32Shannon Sharpe:oh i said i said some things out of anger oh so i said some things out of anger ain't nothing to be angry about i ain't mean it well just chill out there relax though this is what he won't mean you fueled against each other bro whoa yeah get brought into this cause our team wins y 'all lose now see what i'm saying now we gotta hear this all day and night come on man don't worry about it don't worry about it chat y 'all see how they bring me into stuff hi y 'all see how they and get brave in the stuff. I was getting ready to move on. Joe switched up on it. Ocho jump on me. I just reminded Ocho, Ocho, you switching up on me.
1:04:10Shannon Sharpe:Joe the one that just said, five minutes ago, he gonna put hands on you. Remind me of how I put hands on Ocho. See him, man.
1:04:16Joe Johnson:Hey, hey, hey, hey. He say he was angry, uncle. He say he was angry. You know, we gotta get him a little anger management classes. Hey. Hey, let that go.
1:04:22Shannon Sharpe:Name the people that'll tell you the truth. Drunk, kids, and angry people. those are the ones that generally tell the truth hey so he probably do mean that didn't he yeah
1:04:32Joe Johnson:yeah hey i gotta i gotta watch my six i gotta watch my six i gotta watch my six when you're teeing off and your clients are watching it's on when the game goes to overtime and your squad is right there with you it's on when you swap out that other nicotine pouch for something softer and feel the difference right away it's on on plus nicotine pouches with nico silk mesh no corners No rough edges, just the softest pouch on the planet.
