In short
Nightcap Hour 1 covers (1) Conor McGregor’s anticlimactic UFC return after a five-year layoff, (2) Paddy Pimblett’s quick submission win over St. Denis, (3) England ending Norway’s World Cup run 2-1 in extra time with Jude Bellingham scoring twice, and (4) debate over who should win the Golden Boot/World Cup matchups.
Guest backgrounds
Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson (former Cincinnati Bengals WR; Pro Bowler, All-Pro; Liberty City legend) and ISO Joe Johnson (former NBA player; Atlanta Hawks; seven-time All-Star; “Mr. Clutch”).
Key claims
McGregor’s performance was disappointing because his knee buckled early (they argue he “blew his knee out”), and inactivity plus life-altering money reduced his hunger. They say Pimblett’s win was a statement and fast because he capitalized on early grappling openings. For England, they praise Bellingham’s “ball finding” and clutch finishing, and criticize Holland for selfish play and poor decision-making late.
Notable examples
McGregor vs Max Holloway rematch; Pimblett vs St. Denis (guillotine then D’Arts choke in 52 seconds); England vs Norway (Bellingham two goals; extra time); Holland’s missed chance and Norway’s late goal controversy.

Please drink responsibly and stay safe. Lord, have mercy. Well, y 'all already know how I feel. You don't feel bad for him, though, at least? Let's get into it. Returning after a five-year layoff, Conor McGregor squared off against Max Holloway in the welterweight rematch of their featherweight bout in August of 2013, and the results were disappointing.
7:24Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, I think the thing is, look, cover the sport alone, not MMA, but I've been around sports. And as far as selling a fight, promoting a fight, I would say Ali won, Conor McGregor might be two. Now, as far as fight draws, you got Tyson is the king. Then you got Money May, and I'm not so sure this kid, young man right here, Conor McGregor, ain't number three as far as draw in the pay-per-view era. He can promote a fight. he can sell a fight but this was anticlimactic i don't know i don't know because this is not him he don't normally come out throwing flying kicks so i don't know if he heard it in the staging area the warm-up area i don't know did he hurt it in training i don't know what it was but when he threw that first when you see that right knee kill yeah and i was like i thought the wet the ring was wet and that's why he kept slipping but after going back and looking at the replays i can see that knee kept buckling.
8:22Shannon Sharpe:Go ahead Ocho. I think obviously I forgot who what fight it was I'm sure people in the chat that watch combat sports especially the UFC um on a consistent basis I remember seeing him come out one fight I can't remember who was fighting but as soon as as soon as ref said get it on he flew out and threw a punch or he threw a flying kick or a flying knee something like that so I haven't seen him do it since then but I think the fact that he has such a long layoff, Uncle Joe. You know, five years and the drilling and the rush and there was no calmness to him. I just don't think the knee was able to hold up and withstand with him exerting that much energy right off jump.
9:03That's the only thing I can think of. Uncle, he blew his knee out. Yeah. If you watch the replay in slow motion, he blew his knee out. And it buckled?
9:14Chad Johnson:Here's my question, Ojo. Well, damn, ain't you been been training for the past what, two months or so? You know, ain't you been kicking, ain't you been boxing? Huh?
9:25Shannon Sharpe:He been training longer than that.
9:27Chad Johnson:I'm saying for him to, listen though, but for him to start to fight the way that he did, hell I know, I was like, damn, what the hell Conor out here doing? He must got some new tricks up his sleeve. He trying.
9:38Shannon Sharpe:I see him new. I think the fight you're talking about, Ocho, is the fight he had with Jose Aldo. is that Aldo charged him, he backed up, caught him with a left, and then finished him with hammer fist. I think that's the fight that it was quick. But when I look at this, Joe, you're absolutely right. And he said it before. It's like his life changed. First of all, he got life-altering money when he fought for Mayweather in 2017. Then he starts a whiskey brand. He sells 50%, 60 % of that for$300 million. So now I got$300 million, Ocho. One day I'm getting food. I'm fighting in the UFC, and I'm making good money.
10:14Shannon Sharpe:Don't get me wrong. But$300 million is life-altering. Even if you're making$10,$15 million a fight per fight, you're only fighting at most twice a year. So now just think, in a matter of six months, I've got$300 million at my disposal now. It's hard for you to get up and train when you got silk pajamas and milk slippers and you live in an ivory tower. Because all of a sudden, getting punched and kicked and choked, It don't seem as appealing as it once did. It takes over the years. That's why you got to take – when guys start – think about it. Mayweather was making all this money, 20, 30, 40 million, and he still trained like he was broke.
10:58Chad Johnson:Yeah.
10:58Shannon Sharpe:It's not like the old days, Ocho, and I said. Guys used to fight three, four times a year. If a guy didn't get knocked down, Ocho, that joke was – even if he got knocked down, he was still fighting two, three times a year.
11:09Chad Johnson:Yeah.
11:09Shannon Sharpe:If you won and didn't get no bruising, you're fighting four, five times a year because the money wasn't like it is. So now all of a sudden, you get life-altering money in a span of six months. It changes your perception. Are you still as hungry? Can you still fight like you broke, like you destitute? Now, look, he's not the most skilled. Look, he's a striker. And if you go look at anybody, when they get him on the mat, they keep him there for the remainder of the round, and they gas him out. Look at Khabib did it. Everybody, that's how they beat him. Now, if you stand up there and try to trade blows with him, he's probably going to knock you out.
11:48Shannon Sharpe:So he's not versatile. And the one thing that you got, you don't got to be great at any one thing in UFC. You got to be good at a lot of disciplines. You got to be able to wrestle. You got to be able to strike. You got to be able to snuff a takedown. You got to be able to get up. You got to be good. Good. Not great. Now, you get a guy like Jon Jones, and he's damn near great at everything. or you get a guy like a St. Pierre. But this is, man, this is so anticlimactic. It's almost, you know, to be like, Joe, Ocho, if the Super Bowl and the quarterback, the first player of the game, gets injured, gets injured, and he's out for the game.
12:32Chad Johnson:Yeah. Hey, matter of fact, Carson, I'm glad you just said that, Uncle Joe. 2005, Joe. First playoff game. Cincinnati. Carson Palmer dropped back. Those are 50-yard bomb. First play of the game to Chris Henry. I look back. First play, he out. Tore ACL.
12:57Shannon Sharpe:So just think about how you feel in a playoff game. And now imagine that's the Super Bowl.
13:05Shannon Sharpe:You'd be crying. It's like, you know, the first player of the game and the best player in the basketball game. Yeah. And he's out for the remainder of the game. So, basically, he's going to be out for the remainder of the series. Yeah. In your situation, Joe, it's the remainder of the series. If it happened game one or if it's game seven, man.
13:25Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, hey, I agree with you, though. I think it is hard when, you know, when you kind of fat fool and that edge is gone a little bit. Yes. You know what I mean? so your training regimen may not be as strict as normal. Maybe he took Buddy for granted, but I think, hey, Holloway took it easy on him, because hell, he really could have put his lights out quick, quick. Yeah, yeah, that means sportsmanship.
13:51Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, I think he kind of knew something wasn't right. They got history. Because I tweeted, I was like, man, why does this man keep slipping? Hey, bro. I'm thinking, look, I know, I done been to a UFC fight. They go in the ring and they dried up. I mean, look, obviously there's blood and sweat especially. But I'm like, I ain't never seen them. And you see they dry their feet off before they get into the ring. And so I was like, why is this man slipping like that? Because you can't see it in real time. I mean, they had to go back and show it down in slow motion for you to see what actually happened.
14:26Shannon Sharpe:But I was just like, well, damn, he slipped again. And he slipped again. I was like, why is this man slipping so much?
14:32Chad Johnson:Listen, man, that's why it's so important, bro, to stay composed, be calm in big situations, meaning any type of sporting event, because once you get in there, bro, like how the hell he start out with a flying kick? I'm like, damn. You know what I mean? That's normally not him. Huh?
Read the full transcript
14:52Shannon Sharpe:That's normally not him.
14:53Chad Johnson:That's what I'm saying. So, like, he didn't come in there like, you know, just, you know, probably a little bit more relaxed. Like, you come flying out your corner with a kick, bro, Come on, Unk. You know what, Unk? That's my bad. You know who did that? Started right off with a flying knee. That was -
15:11Shannon Sharpe:Mousetard did that to Ben Asker. That was Mousetard. My bad. Oh, you talking about Ben Asker when he flew and caught him and knocked him out with a flying knee. Yeah, that's my bad, my bad. Sorry about that, Sean.
15:21Chad Johnson:Hey, no. And when you had that type of injury that he had, you can't play through that, bro. You can't even play that. You can't even play that at all.
15:29Shannon Sharpe:You got no stability. and you can't fight with him I mean no it's over it's over it's over after that yeah I just oh my god look and I feel bad I feel bad because there were some great matches tonight Gable Stevenson he won his UFC he won did a great job on his guy but so many people this is what they paid to see Conor McGregor Conor McGregor is the biggest draw in UFC history and it's not close it's not close I'm not saying he the best fighter i said he's the biggest draw nobody moves the needle in the history of the ufc like conor mcgregor go ahead i got one hey joe and on think about this think if you take conor mcgregor's personality right who's his personality his cachet his presence his aura his wordplay his mannerisms his charisma and you put into a john jones what the hell you think would happen Can you imagine John Jones?
16:30Not only does he fight the way he fights, but he had all those intangibles.
16:37Shannon Sharpe:John is a guy. John got a switch. Yeah. He different. No, no. He's a serial killer for real. Yeah, I know. He had that other dynamic. To go along with it. I mean, that's like saying, I'm going to give Ali Mike Tyson's tenacity. Exactly. So, I mean, but if you look at Conor and what he's done, nobody's a bigger draw. And, you know, maybe, yeah, they could have had him on the White House card. But for what? It's kind of like, look, I understand that the Cowboys are grandfathered in because of Thanksgiving. Anybody that plays on Thanksgiving is going to do a huge number because guess what? Everybody's off from work for the most part.
17:23Shannon Sharpe:We're off from work, and they're sitting around watching television. So you can put anybody there and they're going to do a big number. They're like, you know what? We're going to save him and let him do his own thing in Vegas. And you see the buzz that it created. Everybody's talking about it. Conor's back. Conor's back. Conor's back. Everybody wanted to see. But it's hard. And we talked about this all the time, Mojo. You got to continue to sharpen that knife. Think about this. Tell me the profession that you can take five years off and be as sharp as you were when you left. Look at Jordan. Jordan, as great as Jordan was, Jordan wasn't the Jordan that left when he came back the first time.
18:07Shannon Sharpe:Thanks. He was not. It took him. He had a game or two, but that was a year and a half. Now imagine taking five years off. Yeah. You're five years older. Your skills, because it's not like he, look here. It wasn't like he was training. He was enjoying himself. He's driving Lambos. He's on yachts. He's jet setting, going from place to place to place. But I, and it's hard to say, and I know, Chad, I know y 'all are like, it's hard to feel sorry, but I do. Because, you know, you come back. If you get beat, I get beat. I can live with that. But damn, a minute into the fight and it's over because I suffer a knee injury?
18:51Shannon Sharpe:that is so that is so anticlimactic and i and dana i know dana's just like damn what kind of luck i had tonight with this yeah yeah i mean that sucks but but but as an athlete as an athlete i think you can you can kind of understand there's certain things that out of your control you know it's put all the work in and then it's time to play or in in this instance tonight it's time to actually fight and all that work you put in is down the drain because of an injury that's really out of your control. I mean, it sucks for the people, especially for those that were excited, like myself, excited to watch him fight.
19:27It sucks for those that actually paid to go to Vegas to watch the fight. But outside of that, listen, I remember the memories. I remember all the good memories. Oh, the trash talking. Oh, unbelievable.
19:39Chad Johnson:Yeah.
19:40Shannon Sharpe:Oh, man. That man, he was at the dance, and they had all the fighters. and he was like at the bottom row and they had people behind him. And he was talking and somebody started talking. He turned around, who the fuck did you, man? He just had a way. Him and Floyd, I do think some of the things that he and Floyd were saying kind of crossed the line. So you have to be careful with that. But hey, to Joe Frazier, he probably thought Ali crossed the line with some of the things that he said to him. Absolutely. With that being said, there's one fight to be made that'll be the biggest fight in UFC history.
20:17Chad Johnson:What's that?
20:18Shannon Sharpe:Who? Jon Jones and the Cameroonian assassin, Francis Ngannou. Ooh. That's the only fight that matters now.
20:29Chad Johnson:Chad, let me know what y 'all think. Hey, hold on, hold on. Do y 'all think realistically that's going to happen?
20:34Shannon Sharpe:Hey, if they want it to happen, because you see, hey, Floyd Mayweather fought Conor McGregor. Why? Because they wanted it to happen. There's too much money involved for it not. And they've been going back and forth. Francis and John have been going back and forth. Yeah.
20:57Shannon Sharpe:Francis Ngannou tweeted something. He's the baddest man. John Jones tweeted back, the baddest man from across the street. Francis tweeted back and said, well, across the street. You know what I'm saying? Okay. I say I'm the baddest man, and I'm on one side. You say you the baddest man on the other side cross the street.
21:15Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah, Dana
21:17Shannon Sharpe:That's the only fight that you can be but that's that's the only fight that can happen This is the funny thing. This is the only fight that can happen obviously This is the fight that all the people want to see heavyweights John Jones Francis But the money for John Jones it has to make right it has to be right That's been the issue with Dana White if I'm not mistaken I'm you can correct me if I'm wrong with him in the the disconnect between him and John Jones is him to come back and fight in the UFC. The money has to make sense for what he's done, not only for the sport, but also being undefeated.
21:47Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Look, I get it. Everybody talking about Tom Aspinall, but Tom Aspinall did not look good against Cyril Ghosn. And just because he didn't, and I get this, I understand. Styles made fights. And just because someone didn't look good against Ghosn, that doesn't mean, but just think about what Cyril Ghosn just did. and just think about what John Jones did to him after being away from the game. John Jones is a different type of animal. Now, we all know Nganu is heavy-handed, very heavy-handed. That is a ginormous-ass man. I mean, I sat down and interviewed with him, Ocho and Joe. Yeah. He 265, and he lucky.
22:30Shannon Sharpe:I tell you what, he built like Miles Garrett. Damn. That's what he looks like up close. Miles Garrett. Yeah. He not technically. He not technical. He's a striker. No, no. But you got to be great. To beat John, you got to be on your game. Because, look, he ain't really a striker. When he's striking, he looking to set something up.
22:57Chad Johnson:Yeah.
22:57Shannon Sharpe:He looking to take you down. He used to hit you. He going to get you with a kick. He going to get close to you. He's going to get you with a spinning elbow. He's going to elbow you in your face. That's what all he's doing. He's just doing that to loosen you up. He ain't trying to do no damage. I got a question for you, though. You think about this, though, right? When's the last time Jon Jones been in the ring? Last time he fought, he fought Cyril Ghan. Probably two years ago. Okay, two years ago. You think the inactivity for two years, and he comes back, and if just so happened, he gets the opportunity to fight Francis.
23:31Who are you going for?
23:32Shannon Sharpe:who am i going for i think about this i see somebody beat that man with my own two eyes i can't pick against uh johnny jones you know what a two-year-old damn if he's been off for 40 months i'm not picking against that man ocho okay i'm listen what about you who you got i mean obviously i'm gonna go with the person that's undefeated i'm gonna go the i'm just curious to hear what answer would be because most of the time you know uncle would favor wouldn't be in two favor of someone that's been laid off or had i watched him be laid off and do what he did to cyril gone yeah he ran through cyril gone i watched him and and people say what steve was old i don't know how old he was john jones beat his ass i don't know how old he was but he was old to get in the ring and fight and john's whipped him yeah and i saw and everybody saw what cyril what what what has how cyril gone looked this last fight and everybody saw what john jones did to him after a layoff i ain't been against john jones i'm not i'm not
24:48joe how much how much we could pay you to get in there with john jones joe
24:53Chad Johnson:Yeah, I know my limitations.
24:55Shannon Sharpe:Man, that man got an 84-inch reach. 84 inches. He's 6 '4". 84 inches. Joe got him.
25:06Chad Johnson:I know Joe put him to sleep on Joe. I put your ass to sleep for sure. I know I do that. Stop trying to throw me off on John Jones all that. Hey, you want that? Hey, I can set that up.
25:18Shannon Sharpe:I get Dana. I get Dana. We go to the Apex. they got they got an octagon and everything over there got a box ring too hey uh uh set it up for me hey when you say hey when you say put me to sleep i mean and you you talk about like
25:29Chad Johnson:now cc for the chat i ain't gonna i ain't gonna lump you up and for unc i ain't gonna lump you okay i know you're gonna need but i'm gonna choke your little ass out that's what i'm gonna do i'm gonna grab it i'm gonna grab it little ass and choke him out that's what we'll do god damn oh you see the one dude got choked out he looked up he's like damn it's over yeah man that man choke you out here what the hell you doing going on that's what happens when
25:53Shannon Sharpe:you go unconscious hey sometimes they start fighting the referee oh no hey it's over hey

Hey, they tap dude. He looked up like there. It's over with. Yeah, it's over, man.
26:19Shannon Sharpe:And they got so many different man. Look, they got so many different. I remember the first I went to the very first UFC was held in Denver. The first two were held in Denver. That's what horse Gracie, because this jujitsu, it came from the Gracie family. Little because back then, Joe, there were no weight classes. You fought and you keep fighting until the end of the night. So you might have to fight three times in the night in order to get to the champion. Yes. And there was no weight. So a guy 130 might be fighting a guy 265.
26:49Chad Johnson:Damn. And I was like, hey, man.
26:54Shannon Sharpe:And he had on his gi? Yeah. I'm like, man. And if I'm not mistaken, I think he fought Kim Shamrock. I think that's what he fought. Chad, look it up. 1993 in Denver, Colorado is in McNichols Arena. That's what the Nuggets used to play. They used to play it called McNichols. Then they changed the name to the Pepsi Center. I don't know what it's called now. But Chad, look it up. 1993. Man, this little old dude joke. I was like, man, why he laying down like that? Hey, next thing you know, well, I got him. He got him. Little old dude. Little. Little. The Gracie family. I mean, all of them. He's got a Henzo.
27:37Shannon Sharpe:I think he got a brother named, I'm trying to think. But, hey, they started it. Yeah. All that jiu-jitsu, that's them.
27:47Chad Johnson:Yeah.
27:48Shannon Sharpe:Man, please. They serious with it. Oh, yes. Yes. Oh, it's called Bald Arena now? Okay. But, man, I just, hey, if I'm not mistaken, I think Drake bet a million dollars that Conor was going to win. Get out of here.
28:08Chad Johnson:He lost it. I think so. That little M gone. But he good. He good. He good, though. He good for it.
28:17Shannon Sharpe:But see, that's the thing. You see how quick. Ocho. Now, look. If the thing go three, four, five rounds, get beat. Okay, I can live with that.
28:26Chad Johnson:Yo.
28:27Shannon Sharpe:Ocho. 30 seconds on some bull job like that.
28:30Chad Johnson:Man, I'm telling y 'all. I'm thinking like, damn, Conor must got a different game plan. He must want to wrestle tonight or something.
28:36Shannon Sharpe:No, no, no, no. It's hard to change up. That's why, guys, if you see a lot of these guys going to Dagestan, they going to fight with Khabib's group over there because they just a different animal. What do you call him thinking about? I would like to ask Daniel if he's thinking about sending his son. But his son's a football player and he's a wrestler.
28:55Chad Johnson:Hold on, ain't Khabib and him over there wrestling grizzlies and all that?
28:59Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, yeah, that's where they go. That's all they do. That's all you do, wrestle.
29:04Chad Johnson:Damn, we should do that, man. We should go.
29:05Shannon Sharpe:Hey, yes.
29:07Chad Johnson:What y 'all think? We go over there and wrestle a grizzly with Khabib now. Nah, I'm good. We ain't gotta go over there. Y 'all gotta zoom right there. Nah, damn man. Damn man, I'm talking about that.
29:18Shannon Sharpe:I'm talking. You better get one of them. Yeah, okay, I'll get me one of them little four month old cubs. I ain't messing with one of them thousand pounds, eight foot stale on his hind leg grizzly. With claws. Like machete in hell down. That's good. Yeah, Joe, we don't need to fly away to all. Is back a stick? Where they train at? Yeah, we ain't got a – Joe, we got zoo. We got bears right at Atlanta.
29:47Chad Johnson:No, bro, them bears, they don't get it. They don't understand it. They don't understand it. He's dribbling the ball with everything on the line. He's driving down the pitch. He's facing price hikes and cuts past him. Carrier Contracts tries to block him. Oh, he leaves him in the dust. He's at the edge of the box. He cuts past the nonstop group chat trash talk. 33:31Shannon Sharpe:He needed this because he was supposed to fight Peoria. Yeah. No, he was supposed to fight, what's the guy's name? Justin Gaethje. He was supposed to, Ilya Tempur. He was supposed to fight Tempur. because Gaethje beat Patty. And then because the winner of that, I guess the winner of that was supposed to fight on the 250, the White House. White House. But Gaethje won, and so he ended up fighting. So Patty needed this. Patty was on the roll, though. I like him. He can sell a fight, too. Maybe it's something, I don't know. I think he's Irish as well. But it's just something about those guys. He come to fight.
34:15Shannon Sharpe:He give you everything he got. And this was quick.
34:19Chad Johnson:That's what I be doing.
34:19Shannon Sharpe:I be trying to get up out of there. I ain't trying to go five minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes. I'm trying to get it up out of there.
34:25Chad Johnson:Hey, he penny rolled, buddy, boy. He put him in. I don't know what type of move he had him in, but he put him to sleep.
34:31Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. But see, that's the thing that you gotta be careful of, Joe. You shoot, and all of a sudden, they get you in a front choke, or a rear naked choke, or a triangle choke.
34:44Chad Johnson:Man, they got all kind of choke. that man. Hey, y 'all say, hold on. Hey, ain't you trained to get up out of all that? Not when they get that man locked in, you ain't.
34:53Shannon Sharpe:Hey, when they get the beat locked in and clutch on you, Joe. Yeah. You know how you be locked in? You know what I'm saying, Joe? You know how you be locked in? Whoa, whoa, whoa. You know what I'm saying? You ain't be locked in, Joe.
35:05Chad Johnson:Nah, I don't know. I don't know. I don't be locked in like this. Nah, he don't know. Nah, he don't know. Nah.
35:13Chad Johnson:Patty's English.
35:14Shannon Sharpe:Patty's English. don't tell him what oh joe i've been telling um don't tell joe nothing about the ground game because he's still he's doing all that talking not understanding you know i was i was a 6a you know wrestling champ my junior year in half yeah yeah yeah you think you got a good technique hey joe i got great ground game i was i was like khabib before khabib joe all i'm saying is you
35:40Chad Johnson:You might be good, but you can't mess with me. That's all I'm saying. And you know what the funny thing is? Is like my game is well rounded because I'm like good at everything, but I'm probably the best striker you'll ever face. So like you're a good boxer, but you can wrestle.
35:55Shannon Sharpe:You got a great chance in the UFC because that's what you gotta be. You gotta be good at a lot of different disciplines. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So Joe, you might want to take back everything you done said to me before I see you in public.
36:06Chad Johnson:Man, listen, I want you to take this as a threat. I'm gonna choke your little ass out and you will keep my name out your mouth. I promise you that. Matter of fact, hey, Joe, I'm in New York. When you get to New York? Don't worry about when I get to apartment. I know what room you in and everything. Don't worry when you hear me knocking at the door, room service, yeah. I got a knuckle sandwich for your little ass, yeah. Hey, you hit it with the movie line, room service. Yeah, room service, yeah. I got a knuckle sandwich for his little ass. Hey, as soon as you open the door, bop, bing. Take a look, come on down here with your bad stuff.
36:38Shannon Sharpe:I don't know why people fall for that. You know damn well you ain't order no room service. But you open the door and you're talking about or you go back in the door, go peep through the peep hole in there. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I got some porn going. Patty look good. I don't know what Gaethje's gonna do. He had that outstanding win over Ilya Tempura. So I don't know what he's gonna do. Ilya's gonna take some time. He's gonna take some time to cover. Fractured orbital, all that stuff. He's out. He might be out until, I don't know. Hey Joe, he might not be ready to go until 27. Who is this? The guy that Justin Gaethje on Freedom 250.
37:23Shannon Sharpe:Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. The one that got beat Justin Gaethje, beat the break. He ended up on his stool. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. He went to the hospital. That's what I'm saying. No, I'm saying he ended on the stool like the Cubs said, nah, we're not good. Nah, we good, we good, we good. So he ain't fighting because Joe, you broke yours. Yours was worse than mine. I ended up getting a plate in mine and I ended up getting a new plate. I did it in 95. Then got it redone in 2008. What you mean you got it redone? What's wrong with it? I ended up getting an infection. Listen to my sister. I was using a neti pot for sinuses and I ended up pushing the infection and it got trapped inside that plate.
38:05Shannon Sharpe:Oh man. So the netted pot over, and then I gotta be careful blowing my nose, because if I blow my nose too hard, my nose will start bleeding. Then I got that problem, you know what I'm saying? So I have to be real, real careful. That's why a lot of times when people say, well, man, what you doing? You must be taking a bump of cocaine when I go off camera. I say, no, I'm just wiping my nose. I can't blow it, because the last thing I need to do is, now I got a nose bleeding, the whole thing, and I gotta put, what you call them, up a nose.
38:33Chad Johnson:Yeah, when I broke mine, it had my skin bulging out like that. But yeah, I got 18 screws, three plates. Yeah, titanium. Yeah. Yeah, and I know exactly what side of the face the aim for that. It's the stronger side. Yeah, it is. Hey, listen, I'm finna crush that, Joe. You finna crush what? First off, you ain't even gonna touch me, partner. The side with the titanium at. So that's -
39:03Shannon Sharpe:Yo, so you don't really have no problem, Joe, like blowing your nose or anything?
39:07Chad Johnson:Nah, but when it, you know, when it get cold outside, the winter months, like, or when I'm getting a haircut and he start trimming over on his left side, like my face started tingling a little bit.
39:17Shannon Sharpe:Joe, that's my side mind on the left side.
39:20Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah, yeah, that left side got me, boy.
39:23Shannon Sharpe:Okay. Man, I blew my nose one time, man. Bad. What, I blew my nose, Joe, that just like just started gushing. Damn.
39:35Chad Johnson:Nah, I ain't been, I ain't had this.
39:36Shannon Sharpe:So I ain't gonna tell y 'all what I had to use to stop it.
39:40Chad Johnson:Your shirt? Nope.
39:43Shannon Sharpe:I had to use what the women use. Yep, I already. A tampon? Yeah. Put it in your nose? Yes!
39:53Chad Johnson:How else could I stop it? Hey, hey, Joe, and they think I'm number one? I got that southern nose. He got that little one with the wide nostrils. You know what I mean? You got that little beak nose over there. Yeah.
40:14Chad Johnson:You know, black folk, man, we got them big four noses. You know what I'm saying? Damn, man, so he had to put a damn.
40:23Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. A 10, but 10, I got damn. We could pick up with their man. Hey, we should have had a picture. I wish you, but you would, man, you think I'm gonna let somebody take a picture of that? Shut your damn mind. Hey, yo, dog. Hey, what a graphic, hey, what a graphic team, Matt. I know they can see this, man. Y 'all gotta make that image, man. I tell you what, if they like their job at night camp, they won't be making no graphic like that. No worries, I'll make it then, I'll make it. If they like their job, England defeated Norway two to one an extra time. Bellingham, Jude Bellingham scored twice for the second time in the tournament to lead England to the semifinals.
41:05Shannon Sharpe:Man, that guy don't go on Norway goalie. Man, that Joe got hands like DeAndre Ayton. Twice, he twice he had the ball right in his hand Joe.
41:15Chad Johnson:Oh, oh, the problem is - You gotta understand how fast that ball - But hold up, Ocho. He's trying to catch the ball versus just hitting it out of play. Yeah, when you're trying to catch it, you're catching it back. Oh, man, we're in trouble.
41:30Shannon Sharpe:He was in trouble.
41:35Shannon Sharpe:Again, Bellingham, Jude Bellingham, that is. He scored twice for the second time. Ocho, the question is, did England's first goal hit the Skycam wire? you know what they you know i heard somebody say hit the sky cam wire but i don't i don't think even if it didn't i don't think it would have affected anything you know no in general hitting hitting the sky cam wire and that goal have nothing to do with each other part of the game i mean not really part of the game but most of the time they can say oh because it may they can say, oh, it was an advantage on why you scored the goal. But the damn Skywire ain't had nothing to do with that.
42:20But I know I got one question. I don't know what the hell. Jude Bellingham, I know he's good. I know he's good. I've played in the mid for Real Madrid. But I don't know what he ate before this goddamn World Cup. But he's been playing all world like the top player that we already know he is. I mean, dude, I mean, he's balling. He saved them last game. He saved him again today. He'd be looking at that ricochet.
42:46Shannon Sharpe:That ricochet, the Ocho, damn. He always, he always somewhere, that ball, Karim, that ball's fine here.
42:54Chad Johnson:Right spot at the right time.
42:56Shannon Sharpe:Oh, he find the ball. Whatever the case is, he find the damn ball. I'm like, damn. And I know Norway's gonna be saying, hold on. Cause Norway had a goal, but they said Holland shoved the guy. They went back to the bar. I guess bar video you know, assisted replay or something like that. Is that what it is? Yeah. And so, but he, the guy wasn't in no hurry to get his ass up, Ocho, because Holland did shove him, and he just laid down. I'm like, man, get your ass up. They're still playing. He's like, nah, because I want him to go back and look at this if they do score. He didn't make no attempt to get his ass up off that ground.
43:36I mean, Juve first goal, that first goal was so dope, man, Joe. Man, he had a perfect touch. I mean, the touch, in order to even score the goal, he had to touch it the right way. He got that ball off his left foot, man. Right through the wickets. Yeah. Man, he been balling. He been playing really well.
43:54Chad Johnson:Yeah, great World Cup run for Holland, bro, and Norway. Yeah. Wait, so, hey, don't that mean England got to face, what, Argentina now? No?
44:08Shannon Sharpe:France plays. Yes. England and Argentina. Man, this might be this might be England. You think so? You have been saying this coming home since 1966. Guess what, Ocho? NBA. You like who? I like Messi, but guess what? I'm NBA now. Any NBA. Anybody but Argentina. Why, what's wrong with Argentina? But I'm asking why, why the change of heart? Cause you was arguing me down about Messi being the goal. That's what changed anything. But I don't want them to celebrate no more. I want heartbreak for them. Damn. Damn, okay. Why the change of heart though? I'm just curious. Hey, I had a John Q moment.
44:59Chad Johnson:I think friend friends gonna get them off.
45:03Shannon Sharpe:I hope so. Hold on. France play Argentina or Argentina play England?
45:15Well, I thought the two games. I thought outside for the two games tonight.
45:19Shannon Sharpe:A, B, C. A, B, A. Anybody but Argentina. Chad. What? Who played? No, Chad.
45:32Shannon Sharpe:Holland picked up 20 million subs, too. damn he did million what you call him is almost at 29 million now boy international superstar now ain't he man who's that well he was already a superstar boy he's been cutting the food over there international now but he got two i mean think about it joe he got 20 he picked up 20 million since the start of the world yeah it may depend what was he what was he at already He's like 43 million, now he at 63. Old boy was at 46 ,000, now he's almost at 29 million.
46:12Chad Johnson:Oh, he having a good time too.
46:14Shannon Sharpe:Oh, Messi, Messi got one million, he picked up a million, but he got 511 million. He got them. You know who has the most? Yeah, Ronaldo. 670. Oh, look, here he go, there he go. Oh man, ain't no game tomorrow. oh that's what the last this was the last for the semifinals here i'm mad
46:43okay so hey tuesday oh tuesday we got france and spain at three oh they got big uh they got a tournament they got one game uh in atlanta on wizz i think what game uh either argentina
47:01Shannon Sharpe:well it got to be Argentina and England no friend somebody somebody play in Atlanta if I'm not mistaken on Wednesday I just told you Argentina England in Atlanta right yeah I say yeah on July 16 no Argentina in Atlanta yes July 15 3 o 'clock Mercedes Benz Stadium I want Mbappe I want Mbappe to get the outstanding player I want him to get the golden boot. I want him to get everything.
47:32Chad Johnson:And he probably going to get it too. He got a great chance. So they going to probably play. They going to probably end up playing. Who y 'all think? Argentina in the finals. I think England going to beat Argentina. I just. As long as Argentina don't win it, I'm fine.
47:53Shannon Sharpe:Mexicans go five goals. As long as the teams go six and beat them, I'm good. Good.
48:00Chad Johnson:That's why they're going to win. I'm going to get them. That's why they're going to win. I probably bet my money on Argentina now.
48:07Shannon Sharpe:Don't do that, Joe.
48:17Shannon Sharpe:Just before the half, Norway had a prime opportunity to break with striker Alexander, failed to deliver a clear pass to an open Holland. Later, the team was down 2-1. Holland had to play the final 15 minutes of the match. after Holland was subbed out. Coach confirmed after the match he knew Holland was finished, indicating the replacement was mainly down to him emptying the tank and having dead legs. Holland did not score against England, with it being the first World Cup knockout match in which he failed to find the net. Because I wonder why. I'm trying to think, you know, because I look at everything through the sports lens.
48:53Shannon Sharpe:I'm like, okay. a top player that's not injured Ocho you coming out the game the last 15 minutes of the game Joe you coming out the game the last 15 minutes of the game but he ain't have nothing he's on fumes by the time they get to the 70th minute or 76th is normally when those subs start happening especially for somebody like holland who's running and battling as much as he as much as he is against those center backs yeah yeah yeah that that was about right that's that's about time because he's just out there on fumes and he really not giving you enough so you got to get somebody in there with fresh legs because he went he went 90 minutes plus an extra seven eight then he goes another 15.
49:46Chad Johnson:yeah you gotta be in some real shape boy to play soccer yeah i'm tired i'm tired just watching that I don't know how to say dude's name, but he was very selfish when they were up 1-0, and they could have made it 2-0, and instead he tried to take a shot himself and tried to take a defender on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I was just wide open, Joe, to his left. And a lot of people were saying, oh, well, there was John Stones, who was the center back at the time, was in a good position. No, nobody's ever in a good position. Obviously, when you're attacking, you've got to use your mind. Yeah. You got to use your IQ.
50:24If anything, go wide and force them to open up a little bit. If you open up a little bit, it creates more space for Holland to be able to do something else. I mean, he understands the movement based on what you do as an attacker. But, man, dude, really, he wanted to take it on himself. He could have made the game too.
50:39Chad Johnson:He going to be hated for a little while, Ocho, behind that, boy. Yeah. He hogged the ball. I mean, what is you doing? I'm going to get to your left.
50:47Shannon Sharpe:It's World Cup. I'm trying to give you a goal, too. I want to tell my kids, the great kids, I score.
50:51Chad Johnson:You don't want to win so we can continue to keep playing? Hey, I get this goal, we gon' win.
51:01Chad Johnson:Hey. He did get this goal, we got blocked. He did, he did, he damn sure did. Hey, we talk about the basketball guys, the soccer guys. They don't like that man, they're self in the man. Get, get, get, damn, why you getting it up?
51:14Shannon Sharpe:And he's your best player, anytime, normally. If that's your best player, if that's, if Holland is their best player. if that's Messi if that's Ronaldo if that's somebody's mess man kick that ball head and let him get that shot on that ain't you
51:29Chad Johnson:come on bro funny thing about it too is you got a dude dribbling I don't know how to say his last name and you have John Stones he's in a really good position he's in between the person dribbling the ball and and Holland all you got to do is take him away from take him away from Holland dribble to the near post and it opens up the space for holland to give you a chance to get you know i was like the space for me you gotta you gotta you gotta you gotta think man we try we try to we try to do something for our country this is how we have to talk to you uh we try to do something for the country man come on make the right play man so we keep playing bingo there you go joe make the make the right play yeah that was it me doing what i did that was the right play for me They got blocked.
52:19Shannon Sharpe:They got you sitting home, boy. They got you sitting home. See, now if I'd have made the shot, y 'all would have said that was a hell of a play by Shane.
52:27Chad Johnson:Absolutely, but there you go. Hey, I always tell Cass, man, take that shot with confidence. Hell, if you miss, he may say something, but if you make it, hell, he ain't going to say nothing.
52:37Shannon Sharpe:But see, that's what I'm saying right there. Y 'all don't want me to be great. Y 'all don't want me to get that hero's welcome when I get back.
52:43Chad Johnson:Y 'all want that for the time. Hey, I want my own float. Hey, hey, hey, you got your mans over here going hollering. He been kicking. You know what I mean? Go feed your man, man. Let him eat. You gonna eat too.
52:56Shannon Sharpe:Y 'all don't want me on my own floor. Not everybody going hollering. You see what I'm saying? Joe, y 'all want me to be on my floor. Y 'all want me to be on y 'all floor with y 'all. I want to be on my own car.
53:05Chad Johnson:See, hey, hey, but listen, if we keep playing here, we get to the finals, you never know. Maybe you will be the hero. But then we won't know now. Y 'all gonna want me to pass it to Holland. Nah, nah, we won't know now. Cause now we gotta take our ass back to our own country.
53:21Shannon Sharpe:We gotta go all the way back. All that food that they packed up, cause they bought like 2 ,000 piles of food. Y 'all about to take that to the local shelter and give that to them.
53:30Chad Johnson:Yeah, they say our food is no good. Hey, see, hey, hey, he, on like Melo, and Melo, Melo, Melo for the Knicks. Melo had 43 points, no assists. But he got his, didn't he? He got his.
53:48Shannon Sharpe:No, but I totally understand what you're saying. I mean, in a situation like that, your best player, you got to reward your best player.
53:54Chad Johnson:Damn.
53:55Shannon Sharpe:In a situation like that, hey, 2-0 before the half? Oh, man. Listen, you in a good position. I'm really in the catbird seat. Man, what? And the funny thing about it, I can't remember. I don't know how to pronounce dude's last name, and I don't want to butcher it, but boy, he good, too. He good, too. on Joe, but he's not Holland. He's good too. And it's club season. I think he had 13, maybe 20-something goals. But still, in that situation, in that moment, you understand the game. Take the space. Take the space and create more space for you to be able to pass, facilitate the Holland, and let them score the goals so we go up two-0.
54:36Chad Johnson:Hey, now they got to roll their ass back to Norway now. They got to what? The road joint. They got to roll. Oh, you see? That's what I wanted. Because I love their fans. Their fans, their fans be in the stands be rolling.
54:53Shannon Sharpe:They got the best celebration, Ocho. I don't care what y 'all say. Their fans, when they score, and they be in them stands.
54:59Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah. They rolling. Yeah.
55:01Shannon Sharpe:Everybody at one time. Yeah.
55:02Chad Johnson:That's hard. That's hard.
55:04Shannon Sharpe:That's what I be wanting. I was like, hey, I want to get the fans. I was like, please let this go stand. Please let this go stand. because I want to see the fans go crazy in this stand. Yeah. That's crazy.

59:19Chad Johnson:Hey, he nice, bro. I'm talking about great energy, He's just super dynamic, you know what I mean? I'm talking about potent offensively. And that boy serious. Yeah.
59:33Shannon Sharpe:He gonna be looking, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, guys. He got into the locker room. The guy that didn't pass that ball to Holland, he got into the locker room, everybody like.
59:42Chad Johnson:Oh, man, come on. Yeah.
59:45Shannon Sharpe:You know they gonna be getting that side out.
59:47Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
59:49Shannon Sharpe:Cause we all done been there. We lost the game. We lost the game. We lost our unbeaten streak. We was 13-0. Ended up losing to the Giants. I still tell him, man, hey, dude, he called Burns. He said, man, Burns, tell Sharpie to let that go. Never. I'm never going to let it go. You caused this undefeated season.
1:00:08Chad Johnson:Damn, who caused y 'all?
1:00:09Shannon Sharpe:Who caused y 'all the season? I don't call the name. He knows he's a defensive back from Ohio State. That's all I'm going to say.
1:00:14Chad Johnson:Oh, okay.
1:00:19is playing for NFL team and having a fan base and let them down is one thing let the country yeah oh sure hey but representing your country Joe and having one of the best players in the world cup wide open you choose to take a shot and try to take on a player knowing you have no space no angle because you hogging the goddamn ball is way worse and you lost the game
1:00:45Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, if we speak in hypotheticals, think about it. You know when Curry got hot for USA and he had Durant and Braun to his left and they were wide open? Yeah, it's just like that. If he don't make that shot, they're going to be talking crap. They're going to be talking crap. Hell, he made it. Hey, hey, hey.
1:01:01Shannon Sharpe:Well, see, what you call – you hear Steph explaining it. He say, well, I gave the ball to KD. I thought he was going to swing it to Braun, but KD gave it back to me. He's like, well, he gave it back to me. I guess he won't. He gets me. I'm supposed to do what I'm supposed to do. Hey, what else am I supposed to do? I gave it to him. He gave it back to me. That's what AI say. Man, I gave it to him. He gave it back to me. Clearly, he didn't want to do nothing with it. I know what to do with it. They seen the rhythm he was in too. Okay, y 'all didn't, KD, you didn't want it. I got it from here.
1:01:37Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:01:38Shannon Sharpe:I'm going to let it go from 29 feet in front of Batum and Fort North.
1:01:46Chad Johnson:Yeah, but they knew the rhythm he was in, too. They was looking for him. They was feeding him. He had it going. He had it going.
1:01:53Shannon Sharpe:I'd have been – honestly, I'd have been disappointed if anybody else would have shot the ball.
1:01:59Chad Johnson:Hold on. He had Bruin and KD wide open to his left. I'm talking about –
1:02:03Shannon Sharpe:I'd have been – you just said that man hadn't missed. He hadn't missed, Joe. He hadn't missed. Okay, he missed one? Okay, now y 'all do that. Do what y 'all do.
1:02:15Chad Johnson:Bro.
1:02:17Shannon Sharpe:Man, that joker done had got...
1:02:18Chad Johnson:He shot that thing to the moon, huh? Yes! Ocho, he shot that thing so high, bro. I'm like, ain't no way that's going in. Cash.
1:02:28Shannon Sharpe:Man, look here. That joker was so hot, I saw the devil on the sideline with flip-flops and a tank top. That's how hot he was. No, sir, don't you pass that ball, Steph Curry. He was cooking. Don't you ever... No, no, no. I don't care who the greatest shooters are. If Steph Curry get hot like that, unless the whole team own him, shoot it.
1:02:52Shannon Sharpe:You remember Jordan got that double nickel? I don't know how old you were, Joe, when Jordan got that double nickel at the guard. Yeah. And he had been shooting everything. And then they put four guys on him. He passed the ball down to be a weathered and a weathered and ducked it. Unless it's a situation like that, shoot it, Steph.
1:03:07Chad Johnson:Yeah. Damn.
1:03:09Shannon Sharpe:Shoot it. You're the greatest shooter of all time for a reason. I believe in you. I believe in you. That's why Bron, you know, they've been linked up.
1:03:21Chad Johnson:That's all I'm going to say.
1:03:23Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, for sure. And you see how that thing was, how that thing was, how he was passing it behind his back and Steph was like, wow, wow. And he comes out of that thing, he spin, and he kicked the Steph in the corner. Because you know LeBron kicked with that spin. And he going to hit that spin. Now he come down the lane, he going to hit you with that spin. He either go lay it up, kick that thing to the corner, or shelf step. They fly at him, he step to the side. Take that with you. Yeah.
1:03:50Chad Johnson:At this late in his career, he don't want to have to deal with no damn double and triple teams no more. Man, let me go out here and play free and have fun. But let me – where do you think that can happen at, Joe? Golden State.
1:04:03Shannon Sharpe:I've been here in a couple of days. France plays Spain. England plays Argentina.
1:04:09Chad Johnson:France plays –
1:04:09Shannon Sharpe:France play Spain? France play Spain. England plays Argentina. Also, who you got? France and Spain. France, boy. I ain't betting against them. Man, Spain barely getting by. Marino keeps saving them every game. The last two games, Marino saving them late. Yep. The France-Spain game is in Jerry's world. The England-Argentina game is in Mercedes-Benz. Hmm. Ooh, Jerry World going to be lit. They'll be off the chain.
1:04:42Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah. Hey, when y 'all get here? Thursday. Oh, so I mean, I mean, I mean, I can leave New York and go to and go to Atlanta. Probably go to. Or maybe Atlanta. Argentina, England.
1:04:58Nah, that's I don't know that thing. I'd rather see. I'd rather see him bop with him.
1:05:03Chad Johnson:Oh, oh. Hey. You got that kind of team. you got that kind of backed up beef with messi no no no no you know i got you know i love messi i know i don't i know i play around but france is exciting to watch france um it's like watching watching the har the harlem globe try to jump yeah nah they tough you know what i mean they they plan they they they're playing serious because it's the world cup but some of the players play like the goddamn they got their Harlem Globetrotters it's just exciting to watch yeah yeah so
1:05:36Shannon Sharpe:France, Spain, Jerry's World, England, Argentina, ATL, the winner. They advanced to, what is it, MetLife now? I think it's called MetLife. Where is that in, Jersey? Jersey, yeah. Winner take all, Joe. Winner take all.
1:05:58Chad Johnson:Coming down to the wild.
1:06:00Shannon Sharpe:Argentina defeated Switzerland 3-1 in extra time to clinch a semifinal match against England. Switzerland was forced to play with 10 men beginning in the 72nd minute as Brillo Ibolo, already on a yellow card, was given another after a review stimulation, diving flopping. Damn, Ocho. See, they got him, Joe. Hey, they got to stop doing that. You got to stop doing that. The Argentina player, right, got a yellow card because dude simulated in real time. Looked like the dude, he tripped him. But he fell. He flopped trying to get him on a yellow card. It worked. Man, they went to VAR and saw that dude didn't touch him.
1:06:42And knowing he's already on a yellow card.
1:06:44Shannon Sharpe:You can't do that if you already got a yellow card. If you ain't got no card, try your look. Press your look.
1:06:49Chad Johnson:Hey, it's been Oscar. The yellow goes back to him, and he already on a yellow. So now you got to go out. You right here bull driving. Just play the game. It's been Oscar worthy flopping in this World Cup. I have nothing. You can't even talk about basketball, man. Oh, man, shade this, shade that. Man, what I witnessed in soccer, in this World Cup, come on, Ojo. Come on, man.
1:07:11Shannon Sharpe:I mean, every time they got their leg broke. I'm like, man, they got air. Well, here come the ambulance, and them jump going to the other end, and they still on the ground, Joe. The play still going on. That joker rolling. Oh, man, get up. As soon as they get the ball, come back the other way,
1:07:29Chad Johnson:he pop up and get in on the action. Hey, them jokes are tired, boy. They think they slick. I done caught on to their game now, though. I told you, Joe, it ain't nothing but a tactical timeout. Oh, yeah, they just trying to get a little rest. That's it? Hey, sometimes them boys get kicked and stepped on over. That job be hurting, boy.
1:07:50Shannon Sharpe:Julian Alvarez scored an absolute stunner to take the 2-1 lead. Martinez scored with seconds left to ceiling at 3-1. Argentina is the first nation to reach the tournament semifinals without facing a single-team rank in the FIFA top 15. What do they do with everything they can to make sure Messi get back to that thing? Andy, Ocho. Hey, listen, I'm not one to say that I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but, again, group stage, it was easy for them. Everyone they faced, round of 32, round of 16. The quarters? I don't want to say it's easy, but, I mean, they haven't had a challenge just yet. Man, they didn't post moves against, who was that?
1:08:31Chad Johnson:Morocco. No, Egypt. Egypt. Egypt was really close. If anything, that game should have been 3-3, going into extra time, maybe PKs. But, yeah, I'm not going to say nothing. I'm not hating on Messi. Are you scared of him because you know he's going to prove you wrong? I mean, he's been proving the world wrong, Joe. I mean, since, man, shoot. Who knows how long? I don't doubt him at all.
1:09:04I don't doubt him at all.
1:09:05Shannon Sharpe:You should doubt him. Why? Because he going home. Damn, what Messi did to you? Because you was off for Messi the past two weeks. I want Messi to score, but I don't want them to win. Hey. Okay, Ocho, they've been playing the World Cup almost, So this is the 96th year they played the world. Yes. Argentina is the first team in 96 years to get to the semis without playing one team ranked in the top 15. And 96 years. So almost a century. Hmm. They no conspiracy theory.
1:09:47Chad Johnson:Hello.
1:09:48Shannon Sharpe:Yep. But it's facts. All I'm saying, in 96 years, they're the first team to get as far as they've gotten without playing a team ranked in the FIFA top 15. Yeah, that's crazy.
1:10:05Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah. I know, man.
1:10:07Shannon Sharpe:I mean, I see, like, what you call, everybody started rooting against Argentina. They try to do everything they can to get Argentina to the MetLife.
1:10:16Chad Johnson:Because you know how it is when you start winning too damn much, Ocho. You know how it is. They want you to lose.
1:10:24Shannon Sharpe:That seems bad.
1:10:29Shannon Sharpe:But I ain't.
1:10:33Shannon Sharpe:Uh-oh.
1:10:38Shannon Sharpe:Colombian midfielder Haminton Campas did not return home following the nation's World Cup exit. He refused to fly home after getting death threats over the World Cup's miss. Concerns for campus safety comes 32 years after Columbia defender Andres Escobar was murdered days after scoring an own goal in the 1994 World Cup that helped seal Columbia's elimination. Oh, they take that stuff serious. Oh, yeah. Oh, they take that serious. Wow. In certain countries that don't play. They don't play. This Columbia is one of them. Yes. Joe, they take their soccer very serious. That's why I said the kind of pressure that's on you, forget representing the team, forget representing just the fans.
1:11:25When you have a whole country that's backing you and relying on you to pull through, especially when money's on the line, because you know they're betting heavily. Oh, yeah, for sure. You know that, because why would you be upset? Why would you be that upset?
1:11:42Shannon Sharpe:We have to send death threats. yeah people that's responsible that problem was responsible for this they probably bet some big bucks and i'm talking about big big big big big big big big big damn and that's gonna cost me my life hell yeah what no it happened it happened in what year was that um they killed escobar for for our own goal.
1:12:02Chad Johnson:Wow. Joe, they had, I mean.
1:12:10Damn. Yeah, they don't play, boy. So, I'm going with Boppy.
1:12:17Shannon Sharpe:Let's go, France.
1:12:21Uncle, you can't be flip flopping. You were just going for Argentina.
1:12:24Chad Johnson:And that's why they gonna win, Ojo.
1:12:27Shannon Sharpe:Viva France.
1:12:30Chad Johnson:That's why they're going to win. Because he done flip-flopped on me. He's dribbling the ball with everything on the line. He's driving down the pitch. He's facing price hikes and cuts past him. Carrier Contracts tries to block him. Oh, he leaves him in the dust. He's at the edge of the box. He cuts past the nonstop group chat trash talk.
