In short

Nightcap Hour 1 focuses on two World Cup storylines: England’s 3-2 elimination of Mexico in Azteca Stadium, and Norway’s shock 3-1 win over Brazil to reach the quarterfinals. England vs Mexico: the game swung on fast scoring by Jude Bellingham (two goals minutes apart), a Mexico goal by Julián Quiñones before halftime, and Harry Kane’s penalty that made it 3-1; Kane later conceded another penalty, setting up Mexico’s late comeback attempt. England advances to play Norway July 11 in Miami. Guests discuss how Mexico’s altitude (Mexico City) may have affected England, and debate FIFA’s precedent for rescinding/handling red-card suspensions, referencing Florian “Balogun” (Florian Wirtz? actually discussed as “Balogun”) being allowed to play after a red-card suspension. Norway vs Brazil: Norway’s Aaron Holland scored two late goals to send Norway through; Brazil’s exit is their earliest since 1990. Guests argue Brazil underperformed as a team, and criticize penalty responsibility (Bruno taking a PK instead of Vinícius Jr.). They also cover Neymar’s legacy and the World Cup Golden Boot race (Mbappé, Messi, Holland tied on seven).

Guests

Chad Ochocinco Johnson (former NFL Pro Bowler, route-runner) and Joe Johnson (“ISO Joe,” seven-time NBA All-Star).

Compare it against other cognacs, and you'll see. You'll be able to taste the difference immediately. Please drink responsibly and stay safe. Boy, we had a game that went back and forth. England beat Mexico in Azteca Stadium. England supplied the red card, Onslaught. Late in the ballgame, Judd Bellingham. Jude Bellingham. scored two goals in a matter of minutes. Really was the difference. And Julian Quinonez struck before the break, but Harry Kane restored it on a two-goal lead with a conceded penalty itself the second half also.

3:35So they get a penalty kick. Kane knocks in, and then Kane ends up kicking the guy in the restricted area. He gets a loud penalty kick, and so it's 3-2 with about 14, 15 minutes to go. And the way the game was going, you're like, you know what? Hey, watch, this game ended up being 4-3. but that was the final scoring of the match. 3-2 ballgame. England faces Norway July 11th in Miami with a place in the semis up for grab. Ocho, watching this game, I mean, I don't know if I've ever seen a game where the guys scored so quick. Yeah, I mean, listen, I think the last time a player for England in the World Cup scored as fast as Jude Bellingham did, I think it was 1966.

4:16Matter of fact, that's the last year, the last time England won a World Cup. Correct. That's the last time they won a World Cup, so that's the last time someone has scored that fast, that play for England. But, I mean, you can't make mistakes, especially on the biggest stage like this. Again, this game is all about moments, specific moments. And, listen, your name is cemented in history when you can capitalize on those said moments. Drew Bellingham did do that, and, man, it's unfortunate. Obviously, you know, I was going for Mexico, and I lost the bet there. I lost the bet, too, man. I owe you a bet.

4:49I owe you a thousand, man. Dez Bryant? Yeah, man. Yeah, I know Dez probably tweet me right now, too. It was an unbelievable game. I mean, back and forth. Mexico, I mean, just looking at the stats, you would think Mexico dominated this game, don't you? 67 % of the possession. Both of them had five shots on goal. And at the end, Bellingham was exhausted. You saw like the last bit of the game, don't you? That joke was insane. Hey, hey, them boys tight. Don't worry about me back here. If I ain't got nothing for you. I mean, he was on fumes. He was looking and then was like, nah, you got to stay in there, bro.

5:29And after a while, he just said, hey, them hands were on his knees. He couldn't, I mean, he had gone as far as his body could take him. And even though he wanted to go further, his body said, nah, this is it. You know, you ain't gonna eat. And you know when the red light first come on on E, you can still go a little further. But after a while, that's all you got. That's all Jude Bellingham he had. He couldn't go any further. But they won a very exciting ball game. England advances to take on Norway. 3-2 over Mexico in Azteca Stadium. Joe, watching this game, what'd you like? Man, just the pace of the game, the physicality, Uncle Ocho.

6:12Man, I really do have a real appreciation for soccer now, bro. You know, because, you know, when you see guys in basketball dribbling with their hands, it's different why a guy dribbled with his damn feet. You know, they control the ball the way they control, the way they know how to use their body. You know, in this magnitude of a game, bro, I just enjoyed the pace. I mean, I'm a huge soccer fan. Now I'm just still getting involved in the game. But this was impressive, bro. So considering what's on the line, for these guys to come out and compete like this, bro, I just appreciate a good show.

6:49And plus, you got to understand, Mexico is above sea level. So that's altitude. And I don't know if England trained in altitude to get adjusted to this. You have to train them because that's what happened in Mexico City in 68. That's where now you see everybody go do altitude training. They go to Flagstaff, Arizona. or they'll go to Colorado Springs. That's where the Olympic training facility is. Or they go to Utah. They go to somewhere way above sea level to get Big Bear, Mammoth. They get their body acclimated to take on oxygen because you want the body to produce more red blood cells, which is your oxygen carriers.

7:26So when you come back down to sea level, it's easy. Man, hold up. Y 'all know they got pills and stuff for them red. When I played in Utah, bro, they got stuff like that that you can take that helps. I know they got stuff that can help. I know first. It produce a lot of red blood. Hey, Joe. Hey, Joe. See what I'm talking about? Who said pills that'll help? Who said pills that'll help? Joe. Joe, we five minutes into the show, Joe. And he done went left field with it. We talked about altitude. I was talking about altitude training. Joe talked about. Listen, it don't make you no bad brother, okay?

8:05You are who you are. We understand that. Why you had to break up pills? Why'd you say, you know what, Uncle? You're right. You had an altitude training where guys go way above sea level because normally they're below sea level or at sea level. So in order to increase to get the red blood cells up, count up, which carries oxygen, and the more oxygen in your body, that's what EPO does. It produces more, but it makes your blood thick. So you have to have doctor supervision to master that. You see a lot of endurance athletes. That's what a lot of the marathoners and distance runners, that's what they get popped with that's what a lot of uh uh uh uh tour the friends riders get popped with yeah or they'll do what they call uh uh blood uh they take blood out freely put it and put it yeah spin it spin it yeah yeah something like that but yeah what i was saying was that the the the type of training that you have to do to be a soccer player ocho obviously you play so i know you would know you gotta exert yourself all that running out there bro they They're going to be exhausted.

9:04There's no way you can play that game and not be exhausted, bro. Yeah, most of the time, Joe, by the time they get to the 78th or the 80th minute, everybody's going. Your legs are going. Your legs are shot. Most of the time, you'll see a lot of players cramping. And especially when the 7th or 80th minute comes, you'll see a lot of people flailing and what people call flopping. I call it tactical timeout to be able to give everybody a chance to rest. Yeah, and everybody get themselves a break. Yeah, outside of that, hey, Uncle, was a good game and i was hoping i was hoping that england was down 10 men i was hoping the england i mean mexico found a way being at their advantage having one man up i was hoping they would find a way attacking and being able to uh to get up to get that last goal and the reason jew bellingham couldn't come out on because of his height his height he's six five six five you know maybe almost six six and they need it they need him in there defensively you know when they had everybody down in the low block on in the final third to to get some of those balls up out of there and and um and the thing is oh joe when you look at this game and and mexico has some chances the goalie made a couple of great saves but they missed some golden opportunities now they had a couple of point blank right you got there and you're like okay yeah that was early you know but i'm saying it's just this is like anything you don't know if and when those opportunities will present themselves again so you really need to cash in because if it gets later later you feel the tension rises and unless somebody just makes an egregious area error error The likelihood of you getting an opportunity like you blew is not very likely, Ocho.

10:35No. And you remember there was one right in the box? Yes. The ball came right to him. And instead of just, well, it was hard because it was waist level. So when the ball is waist level, you have no choice but to take a touch. By the time he made a touch, Jewel Bellingham kicked the ball out of bounds. And he's right there in front of the goal. Yep. Right there in front. And that was their chance. Yeah. That was an opportunity for them to get it. But look, I thought it, look, this is Mexico and the Mexican fans were going crazy. They were going bonkers. Oh yeah. And you know, I had some sound on, but I had it on the Mexican channel because I already know they were going crazy.

11:15Hey, Telemundo. You had it on Telemundo? I guess that's what it was. I don't know what it was. Telemundo sound better than listening to it on the English channel. And so, yeah, yeah. But it was, I didn't understand anything that was said. And I was just like, but I knew when that guy, I was like, oh, yeah, he about to get a red card. You really about to get a red card on this one. And then, hey, he made it. But it was a great game. I mean, it was crazy. It was going back and forth. I was like, man, this thing, hey, I don't know what's going to happen. Because England jumped out there, that two-goal lead.

11:47I was like, well, damn. Yeah, they jumped out quick. And then Mexico kind of gets one of those back right before the half, and then they come right back out. But then Kane, you know, get the penalty kick. It's up 3-1. And then he commits the error that gets Mexico a penalty kick. And so now it's 3-2 with about 13 minutes of regulation. Plus, you don't know how much stoppage time you're going to have. So you figure you're going to have at least probably somewhere between 15 and 20 minutes to get a goal to tie this thing up. Yeah. And you know what? Give England credit. They dug the heels in, Ocho, and didn't concede anything.

12:22They did. As a matter of fact, England's defender, I can't remember his last name, but he got a red card, obviously, for the spikes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Getting up too high. Yeah. They've already set a precedent. You know, Balagoon gets to play tomorrow for USA. So, hold on. Hold on. Since the FIFA president already set a precedent on red cards and allowing people to play, I'm assuming he won't have to miss his game against Norway. Hold on. Yeah. I thought we'd – Ocho, I've had a lot of people in the chat Yeah, we don't want politics in sports. Oh, there's probably oh, there's always Oh, hold on Joe.

12:57No, no, no, no, no, Joe. They said we a we want politics to be politics. We want sports We come to sports to get away from politics. Yes, sir. What's being reported that this came from the White House? Now last I checked the White House don't play sports. They're not involved in sports. So now I want to know chat Are we okay with politics being in sports now? Mm-hmm I think people people that watch sports and understand the game and have been around it long enough need to understand that the two come one in hand. Politics is sports. Sports is politics. And they never existed without each other.

13:32Oh, we like politics and sports. If it's something that we agree with. We don't like politics and sports. If it's something we don't agree with. Oh, OK. Hold on. Hold on. It's Sunday. Take your time and preach. Go ahead. I just needed you. I just needed you to give it to me like I was like seven years old. You know, sometimes, you know, your kids ask you, Joe, you know, hey, we all got kids when they were really, really young. Why, Dad? I just need somebody to explain it to me just like that. Yeah. Yeah, we like politics and sports. We always have, especially when it's something that we like or something that benefits us.

14:12You ever notice? He didn't get somebody, somebody can do something, and that ain't enough time. but something happened to somebody we love, boy they got too much time. Boy they only gave him 30 days. Yeah. But whoa man, somebody else get 10, 15 years, that show ain't enough time for what he did. Somebody else do something, they can't make it easy enough. But I'm starting to see, but I've always seen, studying the history of the US and politics and everything that goes on. I'm not surprised. I mean, y 'all, hold on. Y 'all really thought that Bella Goon was gonna miss this game, huh? You know what when he got that red car I didn't think he would because this has happened before maybe not on the World Cup stage But I've seen in other tournaments, you know Copa America Champions League players get red card and they still be allowed to play Big one that when the Federation looks over looks it over and they clear it and this is the same thing Even with the call from the White House from Trump.

15:08I think he still might have played anyway I don't believe you want to play you don't think so I because the FIFA president said there was never me looking at what it said. There's really no recourse Yeah, there's really no reason that's what that's what was being portrayed Yeah, and what I was led to believe in anybody that follow this and I'm following I'm a new so it might have happened before Yeah, but I don't think the Belgians are very happy with this cuz that somebody said they thought it was April fools so From from my guesstimation and looking at from from an outside like hold on It's like Joey's like somebody you don't wait it.

15:43Oh, he got tossed. He got a flagrant. He's gonna be suspended one game And then all of a sudden before the game come back. You're like, oh, no, they they downgraded it It's kind of like if they had a came back and said, you know what a Mars started my in suspended against San Antonio Yeah, but people like well, hold on. Wait a minute. Y 'all said he was suspended. Yeah Y 'all said if anybody that leaves the bench is automatically one game suspension, right? David Stern says, you know what? For the integrity of the game and because we don't want them to be shorthanded, let's do this. People would have been outraged.

16:18And people are outraged about this unless you're an American. And I get it. I want to have one of my best players, if not the best player, on the field. But, boy, you setting a dangerous, a very, very bad. Okay, I want you to not ask y 'all, was Ballard going to be in the play? And y 'all told me no. uh with by the rules by the letter by the rules yeah you shouldn't be able to play yeah once you get a red card you know you're supposed you're supposed to miss a game but obviously there are rules where they can rescind that red card though Joe because it's happened before I I was just saying because it's the World Cup I didn't think they were rescinded but obviously you getting the call from from the from the head man you know who knows Infantino who are who are like this Okay, make it make sense there.

17:02Let me Like a listen. I see what hey and listen It's a good thing for us. It's a good thing for us. Yes, I'm going being able to play against a Belgium squad That is I don't mean it to be disrespectful. They're very old. They're very old They don't they don't have any young players. They have great experience But I think we're going to run circles around them and I can say that I'm sure hope so I'm Joe I can say the honesty and I can say it with confidence the USA team that I've been watching in the past four weeks is a USA team I've never seen play like this. I've never seen them play like this.

17:34They look phenomenal. It's almost shocking to a sense and Pochettino is responsible for that. Hold on. Let me see what they are.

17:46Mm-mm-mm.

17:53Says Trump urged drug addiction for us. I guess so. So is it removed or is it suspended? Well, once he's playing, no, it's still. So is he going to serve the suspension at a later date in time? Oh, I don't know. I don't know about that. That's a good one. That defeat the purpose.

18:17Yeah. But look, as someone that's rooting for the United States men's team, obviously this is very beneficial, and I'm glad. But I understand. So this notion that all of a sudden, so I don't want to hear no more about politics and sports is bad. I don't. It's only bad if something that you don't agree with. Colin Kaepernick, don't need. That's politics. That's sports and politics. Don't mix the two. Balagoon suspension, a red card is suspended. Yay, yay, we like politics and sports. Okay, I'm cool with it. I'm okay. I'm cool with it. I'm cool with it. So it's gonna be very interesting You made a great point earlier.

19:04Let's see if the same is applied to the England guy. Yeah They read card. They don't have a choice I'm gonna be able to come if his red card gonna be suspended and he gets an opportunity to play against Norway You have to because you already set the precedent You already set the precedent if someone gets a red card, they should be able to play now I'm trying to think when you think about England who needs to make that call from England who sits at who sits at the highest In England, huh? At Prince Charles the pride the PM They need to make a call with the prime minister, but he actually he resigned He's just waiting for someone to fill to his role.

19:40So air He probably don't have a whole lot of power and the Prince and Prince Charles King Charles or whatever King Charles Whatever he is now. Yeah, it's just a figure. I mean, he don't really have any power, right? can't make any decisions hey he can write someone but hey and more power to him but he doesn't have he doesn't have them i don't think he has the cachet or say as a uh uh as a head of state right you know what i'm saying so like if if gg ping from china call or or or uh russian guy called hey what's his name putin if putin called trump called we're looking at somebody like that, that's the head of state.

20:23That's the head. So you're like, okay, he's going to carry a little bit more cachet. I don't think Charles has that kind of cachet. Well, I'll tell you what. Gianni Infantino already set the precedent on rescinding red cards and allowing players to play. Now, Bellagone might still have that red card. I don't know what to call it on his resume or whatever it may be. It still shows up, but allowing him to play sets the precedent. So I'm assuming, I can't remember the defender's last name for England. I'm assuming he'll be able to play in Miami on July July 11th when England faces Norway. Okay, in a statement on the West website, FIFA says by Operation Article 27 FDC the implementation of the automatic match suspension for us player Florian Bellagoon is suspended for a probationary period of one year.

21:12Wow, you know what I supposed to go to jail. No, Joe, but we will suspend that for one year. If you're good, you ain't got to go. I don't know. Ochoa, have you heard chat? I mean, anybody that's a soccer guru, have you heard of something like this? All I can tell you, based on as long as I've been watching the game, they've done this several times. Several times. Now, on the World Cup stage, I don't know. I don't know. But as far as club play, other tournaments, they suspended several red cards before and allowed players to play. Especially when it wasn't, like, if it was egregious, I could understand.

21:51Right, but you're going for the ball. He didn't really mean to do it. I get it But the way the rules state if you if your studs are up you out

22:02The England guy yeah, but he didn't mean to do that though You know what I said the England guy that got suspended his does was up He did I'm sure he didn't mean to do it. No, no, no. That's why I said I said the way the rule the way the rule state 27 where class 27 whatever maybe they they they've already set the precedent and Article 27 FTC. So they have no choice but to let him play. But here's the thing about intent. Intent only matters to the individual that did the act. Right. Was that person still spiked whether he intended to or not? Yeah, yeah. Okay. That's the same thing. Murder and manslaughter.

22:33The only difference is intent. The victim is just as dead. You're like, oh, he didn't mean to do it. I can come back. No. Intent only matters to the individual that committed the act. Person still spiked. Person still got tripped, whatever the case may be. But this is, woo, boy, this is a precedent for years and years to come. Because now, how do you say, well, he intended to do it or he didn't intend? Now you're trying to get into the men's right, the mind of somebody else. How you know Joe meant to do that? You step on somebody's foot, excuse me. No, damn well, you meant to do it. But I said, excuse me, bro, I didn't mean to do that.

23:19Slippery slope, guys. That's why you have to be careful. It is a slippery slope because if you know him to be a dirty guy, then he... Oh, yeah. You know what I mean? Oh, yeah, yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah. If you got a record... Yeah. That's the problem with Draymond. See, Draymond didn't have a leg to stand on because he had a kick. He had a kick by three or four people. Yeah. And the funny thing, there are no Draymonds in the tournament. There's no... Think about it. I'm trying to think of players that would be repeat defenders, like a Sergio Ramos or Diego Costa, who is more of an offensive player, but really dirty.

23:56Vidal. Vidal is not playing. I mean, these are players that are known for being aggressive, fouling, doing stuff on purpose, being egregious when they're playing, very physical, but they don't have those type of defenders or offensive players that like that anymore. Right. Well, England moves on. They takes on Norway. uh, England reportedly used, hold on. Hey Joe, why you bumping your gums, Ocho? England players reportedly were allowed to use Viagra to help with the Mexican altitude at Azteca being 7 ,350 feet above sea level. Viagra can help reduce fatigue related to physical exertion at high altitudes.

24:42Now I just told you what you were taking. Now take it back. Hey, where Ash at? Tell Ash to play my clip. Man, I may, you remember my clip in the middle of the game? Yeah. When they asked me what I took? What you said? Man, Joe, hold on, I gotta see. You can't play that, man. That's the NFL clip. You can't play that. Oh, it is? Yeah, yeah. Oh. They could have called up. We could have hooked them up with the ball. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. So you mean to tell me they taking Viagra before they turned? Yes. Joe, I did that. I did that when I was planning the league. You got something to do with the blood flow?

I'm saying you had just took one before the game. Nah, Joe, I ain't take the whole pill. I take a half a pill before every game. Joe, just a half a pill to get the blood flow going. The same thing Uncle explained.

26:34That's what I said, A. It had me feeling fresh. What? They asked Ocho. They said that A. This is Elcho. Boy, we can see you play real hard today. Literally. All right. Hey, that was Joe, I can't tell you. Hey, as a matter of fact, I'm going to be blocking for him, Joe. I'm going to be blocking for him. Come on, man. Come on. Nah, nah, nah. This is a man Ocho played hard out there today. They like, you ain't lying. Hey, I learned something new every day, man. Hey, Joe, I was a fool out there, boy. I just tried to tell you. Oh, so you already knew about this. This is your different. Yeah. Oh, this is a little hidden secret you had going on.

27:19Hey, man. You ain't know that, Joe? The freak come out at night. The freak come out. The freak come out at night. I already know. Oh. Yeah. Hey. Hey, hey. Oh, Joe. You tried to see the deal. Hey, man. You taught that game was appeal to help with all that deal. Hey, hey. He already knew that. Hey, you said, hey, chat. Y 'all see how Joe tried to sneak that in? Talking about in Utah, they gave us some pills to deal with attitude. I bet they did. Hey, y 'all got it. What did your coach tell you? What did Coach Richardson tell you? To make sure they couldn't get around, they put something in their food, right?

Ate us some good days, man. Good days. Ocho Aaron Holland scored two late goals to send Norway to the World Cup quarterfinals for the first time. Brazil suffered their earliest exit from the World Cup since 1990. Brazil was the only team that have played in the quarterfinals every World Cup since 1994 through 2022 before the run was snapped by Norway.

29:27Ocho are you shocked by this? I'm not shocked at all I'm not shocked at all obviously Brazil they played somewhat okay until they they made a real opponent they made a very good don't don't Brazil supposed to have all the talent yeah yeah they got all the talent but they play in they play as individuals Joe they don't play as a team they really never had they don't have that that Jogo Benito no more they don't have that soft they don't have that magic the only player that they do have is vinny you know i mean who's supposed to be their superstar um they had they had a pk vinny didn't step up to take the pk did it that that's your moment so think about this they lost the game right yeah they lost the game 3-1 the game should have been 2-2 yeah yeah 2-1 they should have p vinny should have took that pk right i'm sure vinny was gonna make that they let bruno take it why is bruno taking the pk in a moment like that it's supposed to be your best player that's on the pitch.

30:22Huh? I was thinking the same thing. If he's not your best, normally the best player takes it. Ain't nobody thinking Bruno better than Vinny? No, absolutely not. Now listen, what Bruno does when he played, where he plays and where he plays in his league, in the club, okay, he takes the penalties. This is the World Cup. You're not the best player on the field right now. Thank you. I agree. I don't get it. So he misses, the goalie saves it. Here go Holland. he 6 '5 he jumping all through the air get out the way he done moved Gabriel all out the way man get your ass out the way he scores on the header then he comes back at the top of the 18 nobody closes out Joe you know when you get the ball down in the post you kick back out you need somebody to run out to the 3 you know they don't even run out to Holland he scores again hey hey Holland Holland serious he remind me he remind me of myself You know what I mean?

31:19No. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Y 'all got to hear me out. You know how when he scored, you see how he was scoring? He was just walking out nonchalant like, yeah, that's what I do. You know what I'm talking about? That's what I'm talking about. The man putting that ball in the back of the net. That boy, man, I got another favorite player. I got a soccer player. I got to go get his jersey, too. That boy, man, me and myself, Chet. Hey, he's going to go get a holler jersey. Holling cold, boy. Hey, man, he nice, Joe. He nice, Joe. Hold on, hold on, hold on. You say nice. Ocho, hell, he tied for the most goals in the World Cup.

31:52Oh, yeah. Oh, hey, no, Joe, he the real deal. I'm saying he's nice. He the real deal. He messing them around for their damn money in this World Cup. When you're talking about the golden boot, who going to get the golden boot? Shoot, I think it's - You don't know. Hey, I'm going to say Mbappe. I tell you what, whoever makes it the fuzzers, that's who going to get the golden boot. Okay, I agree with that. Because you get your ass knocked out in the quarters of the semis and somebody else go to the finals, that's who going to get the golden boot. I'm listening to him.

32:20Hey, hey, honestly, I think I think it's gonna be in Boppy because and Boppy gonna have more chances on the ball to be able to Score at a higher clip than everybody else. I mean obviously Holland too because they kind of play through Holland Yeah, but Brazil Brazil look Brazil didn't look good and and and we're gonna get in touch on this a little bit later That name mark said like he's done with international play for team plays So cuz he's like I started in Met Stadium and I'm done, you know, he's gonna end for Met Stadium but his team play never matched those of the previous greats. It's impossible.

32:53The Pelé, the Ronaldinho, I don't know, Carca, Hulk. It never lived up to that. When we think about great Brazilians, and he's had great success overseas, you know what I'm saying, Ocho? But to be thought of mythically, it just never materialized. No. It never did, but but Neymar is still an icon. There are a lot of people that don't like Neymar for whatever reason, but if you know ball and understand ball, there was one point in time, Uncle Joe, Neymar was considered the third best player in the world. Obviously, when he was healthy, if you watch him play as Santos in his younger years, I think it might have been 2011 or 2012.

33:31Yeah. When he was in Barcelona, I mean, he was pure magic. When he was at PSG, he was pure magic. Neymar, before he tore his ACL, was unbelievable. We talk about must-watch TV. Must watch. You know, whether you like him or not, we don't like the flopping and the flailing all over the place. When we talk about creativity and having the ball at his foot and making things happen, man, he was a joy to watch, man. Obviously, he won't be able to play in the next World Cup, which is four years from now. He's already, what's his name, our uncle, what, 33, 30? Yeah, hold on. He made his debut in 2010 and 16.

34:09So he's 32, 33, right around there, Ocho. Okay. He's 34? Yeah, so yeah, he won't be available for the next World Cup, obviously. Why not? Hell, Messi of 38, what do you call him, 41? But let's go. Okay, the 16-year career Brazilian national team. He made his senior debut in 2010. He finished with Brazil all-time men's top gold score with 80 gold and 129 appearances. He represented Brazil in four World Cups, 2014, 18, 22, and 26. Neymar won the silver medal in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, and subsequently he captained the Brazilian to their first ever Olympic gold medal in Rio in 2016. Ocho, what's his legacy?

34:50I mean, listen, he's Brazil's all-time leading scorer, all-time leading assistor. What he's done, what he's done for Brazil in general and those kids and that country will ever be cemented in history, no matter what. No matter what. Even though they fell short this year, what Neymar has done throughout his career You know a lot of people say oh he's washed now well obviously he's coming off a ACL injury So he's not the same same now. We're used to seeing we're used to seeing but um, no, he's a legend man He's an icon. He's an icon and and to win and win the Olympic On home soil. Yeah in 2016 in Rio.

35:29Yeah now. It's not quite the World Cup. We understand that but boy That's still quite an accomplishment. Oh, yeah, but it's just like you said Ocho those big names and And it seems like everybody. So we just going to start calling Balogun. We're not going to mention his first name. We're not going to say Flo. We're not going to say anything. It's Balogun. He go by one name. All the greats get one name. Messi, Ronaldo, Pele, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Hulk, Holland. From here on, do not call that man by his first name. It's Balogun. We're going to call him Balogun. Okay. But do not address that man by his first name.

36:08because all the greats go by one name, and he's the next one. Well, he has a chance to be the greatest American player. So that's our guy. I like it. I like it. But I was like, man, I remember seeing Pele when I was a kid, like, man, what's his real name? How'd he get one name? But, yeah, I think it's very disappointing. and you hear it, you know, knowing what Brazil is, you know what it is, don't you? It's like when America don't do well in basketball. Yes. That's what Brazil is to soccer. And to see them get knocked out. Yeah. There's just an expectation that Brazil is going to go fast. Yeah, it is.

36:57Yep. Especially with the way I think if Neymar is done with World Cup play, international play, I think he'd probably go down maybe the third greatest Brazilian player of all time. Some people might put him fourth. I mean, obviously, I'm going... You going Pele, Ronaldinho? No, no, no. You going Ronaldinho, Pele? No, no, no, no, no. I'm going Pele first. Okay. Then Brazilian Ronaldo. Oh, okay. Then Brazilian Ronaldo. And now it gets iffy in that third spot. Chat, y 'all can chime in and let me know that third spot. Neymar, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Bebeto. I mean, it's so many different names that you can put in that third slot.

37:37So my one and two is Pele and R9. Well, ain't nobody ever topping Pele. No, no, no, no. Ain't nobody topping him. You win the World Cup. You win three. He got three of them. Yeah. Yeah. Lost the fourth. He got three. As a 17-year-old. Yeah. Nah, ain't nobody touching Pele. You know what it is, Jocho? it's kind of like because he's he's kind of like mythical godlike right it's kind of like Jordan somebody could come in somebody could come in and string together a career like Messi in Brazil they ain't topping Pele they not no I'm looking at the chat I'm looking at the chat some people say Neymar not even top not even top six you have to understand the legends that have come before Neymar though.

38:35Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I know Pelé and like you said, the Brazilian Ronaldo and Ronaldinho and Kaka Hulk was a defense, but Pelé and Ronaldo and Ronaldinho those three, it's hard for me to put Neymar in front of any of them. Yeah, you're right. So it looked like the best he could hope for Ocho is probably fourth or fifth, maybe sixth. if you put Kaka in front of him. I mean, oh, that's tough. Hey, Joe, Joe ain't watched soccer back then, Joe. Well, if you had a chance to see Ronaldinho play Joe, you talk about the equivalent of what Kyrie is with the ball in his hands. He was like that with his feet.

39:25Joe, it was embarrassing. It was embarrassing. I mean, trying to get him off the ball, what was the point? but he has size to it though Joe he was he not tall he not tall at all legs look like god damn tree trunks yeah he was bottom heavy yeah he was nice Joe it was a joy to watch it was a joy to watch Brazil going out this early Ocho is this a disappointment did they underachieve or we just look or we just or is it just we're judging we're judging Brazil on past expectations not currently how they are. I mean, most of the time they look that they look that in judge based off what they've done in the past, but they haven't been able to achieve that same mystique, that same Jogo Benito style of play that they had from the past in general in a very long time.

40:14If I'm not mistaken, World Cup 2022 when I was working, if I'm not mistaken, damn, chat, did they lose round of 16? It was a round of 32. I forgot when they got it. Yeah, they made it quarterfinals every year. Oh yeah, so they made it quarterfinals every year and then they're out. From 94 to from 94 to 22 so they made every year they made at least the quarterfinals yeah yeah so hey nah and until things change and now now you have namar who won't be there in what what 20 20 30 30 20 30. so hey somebody had to step up to the plate and that's gonna have to be vinnie there's gonna be gotta be vinnie's team now yeah or what you call it the U.S.

40:54going to put back in to try to get back in 38.

40:59Holland ties Mbappe and Messi with seven goals to lead the tournament. World Cup, Golden Boot standing. Mbappe has seven goals with two assists. Messi has seven goals, zero assists. Holland has seven goals, zero assists. And Harry Kane has six goals with one assist. So, I don't know. Man, the way they scored these goals, I don't know if we've ever seen anything like this, Ocho. No, not this much. Not this high total with so many different guys. Maybe one or two guys, but look where you are. And these guys still have games to play. Yeah. A lot of soccer left. A lot of soccer left. I'm excited. And listen, the goals, the fact is, is the goals are going to come much far and fewer the further you get in the tournament.

41:44Yeah. Because the players and the quality of players you're playing against get that much better. Therefore, those moments, they start to decrease now you gotta capitalize on when you got a chance yeah I was reading somebody that said somebody scored 13 goals in one World Cup I don't know Hugo Sanchez no? I don't know who I was half I don't remember where it was hey Chad who scored 13 goals in one World Cup it gotta be Hugo Sanchez I think it gotta be the most huh yeah hey we hey we get uh uh we get bala uh bala gun to get like three of them all he right we right back oh yeah i think he got three yeah he's gonna need about three tomorrow hey there's gonna be some controversy behind it if he come out and bop oh yeah man what you mean you go go be it already is

42:50who they said Ocho the German dude oh Justin Font wait Yusubio oh Justin Fontaine Justin Fontaine the Germans got hit you know they had Klinsman and Kloss they had some good soccer players too Ocho how many score was it 13 I think I heard a second what year was that Fontaine played that had to been a while ago yeah he's dribbling the ball with everything on the line he's driving down the pitch he's facing price hikes and cuts past him carrier contracts tries to block him oh he leaves him in the dust he's at the edge of the box he cuts past the non-stop group chat trash talk he clears on goal he shoots no unlimited data for$25 a month forever visit your local boost mobile store today to get unlimited data with a price that never changes boost mobile after 30 gb customers may experience lower speeds customers will pay 25 a month as long as they remain active on the boost 25 unlimited plan late 60s somebody said 1958 damn that was a long time ago but yeah but the germans you know the germans normally have a good soccer team too joe ocho yeah you know we had to coach the clean jordan clingsman used to come Yeah, you remember what?

44:11Yeah, remember what Germany did to Brazil in 2014? Shut up my bad man. Seven seven to one Joe Seven to one sitting the boy and Go ahead and take that with you Oh,

44:28yeah, it's 19 according to reporter Aaron Cohen the Lakers have informed Roy Hachimura that it will not be bringing him back. Roy Jones, LeBron James, Marcus Mark, Luke Kennard, Jackson Hayes, Maxi Kleber, and DeAndre Ayton on the list of players the Lakers have packed up. Joe, what's going on? They call them the Snowtime Lakers. Hey, y 'all see what's going on? We got to play crazy. Yeah, look, the Lakers, I don't want to say starting over. They're keeping their key guys, obviously, Luka and A.R., and that's pretty much who they're building around. Okay, old Joe. Yes. Hey, I'm assuming Rob is putting together guys.

45:07He's surrounding them with guys who are going to be great complimentary pieces. You know, I mean, yeah, I guess we all have to see how it's going to work. I have no idea what they doing. I mean, to lose one of your most productive guys in the postseason, bro, I thought Rui played great. Yeah. And I thought he'd be lined up and get him a nice little contract. Well, I hope he wasn't waiting around for the Lakers. go ahead and take that money. I know he like LA, you know, so forth and so on, Ocho, but I'm not waiting around. Hey, because guess what? If you'd have wanted me, you'd have called me when it was available and say, hey, we got this for you.

45:45What you thinking? I'm not waiting. I'm not. I'm with you. Hey, listen. Brother Polinga. I'm not your second option. Hey, sometimes I have to tell him that. I ain't your second option. Don't call me now. man? What you thought? Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, hey. She done got turned down by our first two guys, and she's like, you want to go to the prom? Oh, no, I already know you done asked them other two, and they said no. Now you gonna come to me? I'm gonna tell you no, too. Uh-uh. After they flip you and had you like a goddamn hula hoop, now you want to come play? Yeah, dog. I'm good. What?

46:25Flip them like some hamburgers? Hey. Hey, Joe, like a pancake, Joe. What? They didn't turn to every way but loose, but now you wanna come play when they leave you. You thought she was pizza though. I'll be like that, yeah. And that's that.

46:43Hey, and now you wanna come to O'Shea. Hey, hey, hey, hey, Uncle Joe. You know, they hit you quick with that, hey, big head. It's been three years, big head what? I say it ain't work out, huh? Yeah, okay. I'm good. I'm good. Yeah, yeah. He wasn't here. No, no, no, no, no. What you mean he ain't ish? Yeah, yeah. No, no, no, no. Oh, he wasn't ish. Hey, hey. Whoa, whoa. You said the same thing about me. Hey, and then. You said, hello. Now, he ain't ish either. But I remember you told your girlfriend, I ain't what ish could have been. I ain't doo-doo. But now you want to come back and tell me he ain't nothing?

47:27Oh no. I don't want it. Hey, hey, hey. And then all of a sudden now you a homebody. Oh, I'm a homebody. I don't, I don't. Yeah, yeah. Uh-uh. Oh, now you always in the house, huh? I ain't like, whoa. When I say let's stay home, you look at arm. You boring. Oh, this young man, we be going places. We be going to the beach. We be going on vacation. We doing all this. Hey. And guess what? Come to find out, when he wasn't doing that with you, he had Sally on a vacation. And then he had Jennifer on a vacation. And he had Alicia on a vacation. Come on, take your time. Take your time. Huh? I'm ready to settle down.

48:11With who? Anybody know a land they haven't been discovered? Because that's the only thing she's going to settle. Come on, now. Take your time.

Anybody ask you about me, Uncle Joe, I'm from Liberty City. I'm from there. I'm from Dade County. You hear me? Anything got to do it.

53:18That's good enough. Hey, y 'all heard him. He say from Liberty City. Yeah. Man, Ocho say from Liberty City. What you want me to do? You want me to refute that? Mm-mm. Hey, my registration say Cambodia. So anybody asking, I'm good. I'm good. I'm good. Yeah. Yeah. Bro, I don't know. And I don't know. You know. And they get mad at you, Joe. You know, I know you know. 54:09Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think the thing is with Rui, and I hope, Joe and Ocho, I hope, because you know sometimes you get an attachment. You be wanting to stay like, I want to finish my career here. I've built up in the community and I love it here, yada, yada, yada. And here you are waiting around, waiting around.

54:34Now, man, look here. We break, hey, you let me hit the market. Yeah, yeah. Ain't no waiting. Gotta go. I ain't been to hold you. I ain't been to lie. Got to go. Hey, look, I know, I learned firsthand. Yes. So, cause what happened is, what you doing, you got me on hold while you going to see what you can find out there and see if they woo woo woo woo woo woo woo woo and then all of a sudden that'll work out. Huh? Hey, hey, hey. I mean, now you done been like McDonald's, billions and billions served, and now you want to come back to me. Have me be Burger King, you can have it your way. Nah, I'm good.

55:20I'm good. I think Palenka, he's doing what he's doing and there's a method to his madness. Obviously, he wants to change the culture. It is now. It's Luka's team. So now as he changed not only is he changing the culture, but he changed the atmosphere as well. Listen, man Listen, it seems it seems like It's like the foreigner concept is taking over the NBA So it's like it's like an over it's almost like it's like you know what I mean It's like the NBA is because there's so many foreigners coming over nowadays and the way they've changed the game to where If you can't shoot the three here, you can't play as a big So all those guys who come over can shoot the three they can play on the perimeter.

55:58You know what I mean? So it's not really, I mean, we're never going to get like a real post player ever again because of how these guys train. It seems like Linka is going with the overseas route, if you ask me, where you have an overseas caliber kind of team, guys who can penetrate, kick, shoot the three. You know what I mean? That's what it seems like. He's setting Luka and AR up around with guys who can really shoot and score the ball. but here you don't know how nothing is going to work in rim protection but you're going to have to see how it unfolds we know one thing about European players most of them don't play no defense they ain't never been known for that

56:45for every Giannis you get you going to get a Jokic you going to get a Luka you going to get one they playing no defense they born to score that ball man and played the wrong way. Yes, yes. They work. Their offensive defense. But they work on, they fundamentally train these cats, bro, from the time they live at 12 years old, they are already playing pro, getting that fundamentals together before that. Like for us as Americans here, hey man, we out here wild with it. We straight off pure talent. We don't, you know what I mean? And that's the biggest difference. Yeah. Yeah, because look, They ain't jumping over nobody.

57:27They're not the most athletic. But they say, you know what? Because if you look at it, when you watch them play, they backdoor bounce passing. They doing streams. They doing all this stuff. Hey, we throwing lobs. They ain't throwing not one lob. You know what? That's going to be the next thing to come. Most of the European players, none of them play above the rim. That's going to be the next thing to come out of there is someone that plays above the rim that can do all the other things as well. He going to be a brother? Hey, I don't know. That's a good one. That's a good one. I don't know about coming out of Serbia and Slovenia.

58:03I don't know. See, because they perfect the fundamentals, bro, before anything else. Right. So once you get that down, man, you're always going to be able to run some circles around us because we ain't disciplined enough. Right. We ain't disciplined enough. Because what did it say? Well, you have to let you just jump over it. If you big, what do you tell your football, Ochoa? Just run over it. Ain't no dodge or nothing like that. Barry had to develop that skill because he was so small. So Barry said, I can't run over you, but I can shake you out your shoes. So he developed that from a very young age, because you gotta realize, what's Barry, 5 '8"?

58:42So just imagine how tall he was probably in elementary or high school. So he couldn't run nobody over. So he had developed that shiftiness. Well, when you got somebody that can jump, that can got a 36-inch vertical jump at 14, he playing above the rim his whole career. Yeah. Imagine. Like you said, he's not working on the fundamentals, drilling the basketball, passing the basketball, setting screens, doing all the stuff that the Europeans, they come up here, that's instantaneous. Because they ain't jumping over nobody. Right. now imagine imagine if we took the training and took the ecosystem the way they train and develop and and and master the fundamentals first and use them here in our training what if we we what if we reverse things where we have all the athletic players that can play above the rim and we start them young with the basic fundamentals so we can play like the europeans and then the cherry on top would be able to play above i like how you're thinking oh i'm gonna have to open up the iso and uh oh iso academy go get you a team and do that we're gonna do that because you're going to have that's going to have to be your team and you're going to have to be all your kids because Joe ain't going to let his kid play like that my son turn him loose somebody else's son turn him loose my son shoot threes my son do this that's how it is everybody think their son going to be Kobe or Ant-Man or one of these guys you can't tell them otherwise This is Tony A.O.
