In short

NFL offseason/in-season drama and performance talk—Odell Beckham Jr. being released by the New York Giants, the New England Patriots’ early struggles and rumored coach/Drake May friction, and quarterback Cam Ward’s development for the (referenced) Jets/Saleh discussion, plus Derrick Henry reflecting on his time with the Titans.

Guest backgrounds

Chad “Ocho Cinco” Johnson (former Bengals WR; Bengals Ring of Fame; 6x Pro Bowler, multi-time All-Pro) and “ISO Joe” Johnson (former NBA Hawks player; 7x All-Star). They discuss as former pro athletes and use basketball/football parallels.

Key claims

OBJ’s release is framed as a “weeding out” of older/less-used veterans; he only played ~19 snaps in the last three games with no catches, and the Giants needed roster flexibility (Braxton Barrios elevated for special teams). Patriots drama is attributed to quarterback underperformance (Drake May: 585 yards, 1 TD, 6 INT, 2 fumbles in three games) and leaked “unnamed source” friction. Robert Saleh says Ward is improving—trusting the offensive line, better footwork/decision-making—though he reverts to old habits late.

Notable examples

OBJ’s preseason separation but limited targets; comparisons to Julio Jones, DeAndre Hopkins, Russell Westbrook, and AI’s adaptation; Patriots “Patriot way” keeping issues in-house; Ward’s late-game accuracy/decision issues.

The New York Giants, guys, have released Odell Beckham Jr.

5:25Shannon Sharpe:Wide receiver Braxton Barrios was elevated from the practice squad and signed to the 53-man roster. OBJ only played 19 snaps in the last three games and did not record a single catch. John Harbaugh, his coach, spoke on the decision saying, we just wasn't getting enough. It just wasn't working for us. Like I told him, I wanted to be able to get more. I wanted to be able to do more. Get him on the field more. For whatever reason, we weren't able to do that. Put it on us. We weren't able to get it done. The question that I have for both of you guys, Do you think OBJ gets another chance, or was this his last best opportunity to play receiver in the National Football League?

6:07Listen, Uncle Joe, I've said it all the time. Obviously, when you get to a certain age, they weed you out. They weed you out of opportunity. They weed you out the system. We saw in the preseason that OBJ is very well and capable of getting open. He's very well capable of being a part of that offense in some capacity, no matter how small it is. He still has that special quality. He still has that it factor, even though he's been injured you know a few times i respect the receivers that they do have their uncle joe i respect them tremendously but there's certain cachet there's a certain veteran presence yet they don't have that odell has that he brings to that team you know um then the the comments by by harbaugh like come on we couldn't find ways we wanted to get you on the field a little bit more but we couldn't yes you can when you want to yeah when you when you want to you just do as a head coach you know i'm not sure why you even brought him in.

6:58I'm not sure why he allowed him to make the 53-man roster. And I understand it's kind of tough because you bring Braxton Barrios up, and obviously you need numbers. And so the odd man out is Odell, being that Braxton Barrios is probably going to participate in special teams. Punt and kick return, probably. They need that roster spot that Odell has taken up. I mean, it sucks for him, but his services can be useful elsewhere. It can be useful elsewhere. I can see maybe the Rams you know my my call and he get opportunity there again but he can still play this game that we love and cherish known as football yeah what you're thinking i i think it's unfortunate

7:39Chad Johnson:for odell arcan ocho because you know he has so much good history with the giants and i'm sure he wanted to end it that way you know what i mean he wanted to go back to new york have a pretty good season whatever it may look like in his in his point of view but damn i thought him making a 53-man roster, I thought he was going to be locked in. So for him not to be able to get that opportunity, and when you watch him in the games, in the preseason, and in the games that he had played, bro, they're not going to draw up many opportunities for you to be successful, man. You know why? Because how they going to justify getting rid of him if he goes out there and ball out?

8:16Chad Johnson:That's my only thing. But it's unfortunate for him. I don't know. I don't know if he'll get another opportunity, bro. He's a guy who looks like he work hard. He looks like he came in camp in great shape. He looked good out there to me, but, you know, we'll see, I guess.

8:30Shannon Sharpe:You know, Ocho, Joe, before you got on, Ocho and I used to talk about this all the time. I said, bro, once you start bouncing around, they look at you as a journeyman. The same thing with D-Hop. I told Ocho this about D-Hop. I said, he's never going to be the same player. I said, they'll give you one chance, okay? He started at Houston. Then he goes to the Cardinals. But then he leaves the Cardinals and goes where? Goes to Tennessee. Then he goes to Kansas City. and then he goes to the Ravens. Once you start bouncing around, they're not going to put you in that situation for you to succeed. I don't know why.

9:05Shannon Sharpe:And I'm scratching my head too, Ocho and Joe. I'm like, well, why bring him in? If you're not going to use me, don't bring me in here and have me look at, oh, man, Odell got released again. You didn't even give me a chance. No. One target, I played 18, 19 snaps. I don't know what you expect me to do with that. I mean, and I'm not saying he's not a JSN. He's not a Chase. He's not a top-tier receiver. But I do think he can contribute if given the opportunity. But I'm not surprised they didn't put him in a position where he could succeed because they don't view him as that. It's like anything. Once you view something as not being useful, what do you do with it?

9:47Shannon Sharpe:You disregard it. You discard it. You said it just like, I'm good with this. No matter what it is, if you don't feel it has use or value, you get rid of it. They didn't feel Odell gave them it. And like you said, Barrios can play special teams. Remember, that's going to be a determining factor. We only get so many spots on Sundays, guys. Who's the guy that can play multiple positions? Odell didn't play special teams. Odell is not a returner. So now I got a guard, but he can be a swing tackle. I got a guard that can also play tip center. I got a tackle that can play left or right. See, I can do multiple things.

10:29Shannon Sharpe:OBJ can only play wide receiver, and they weren't using him to do that. So I'm not surprised by this move considering what am I supposed to do getting six snaps a game, Mocho? the likelihood of I'm getting six snaps excuse me, six snaps a game and you're going to give me one to two, three targets, you're not going to give me no three targets on those six snaps you're not you're not even getting those targets you're probably the third or fourth option anyway and the first or second option is probably going to be where the ball goes I hate it for him, especially for him to work as hard as he has, to come back from all of his injuries, to still want to play football, to still want to finish off you know he had dreamed of playing and what he started with the giants you know he was there for seven years and he was phenomenal he was phenomenal had one of the best rookie seasons actually the best four four or five year stretches you know as a player with the giants hell the nfl in general um i would have loved for him to finish there with with with a chance to be productive you know let him finish out the season let him be productive obviously there's some there's some questions that still need answered at the receiver position uh i'm not sure if malik neighbors is all the way healthy.

11:41As of yet, he had a shoulder problem the last time I saw him play. So I'm not sure. Maybe they want to go young. At some point, teams do move on, Uncle Joe. At some point, they do. But I just know if you use him in the right capacity, he can still be productive. That's all. It sucks. I kind of see

12:04Chad Johnson:where you're going, Ocho. For me, I feel like them getting rid of OBJ you know they'll get somebody else on them 17 18 19 snaps yeah only one or two targets they'll get it to a young cat who ain't who ain't gonna mind you know who ain't who ain't the media darling you know obj is a media darling bro he's gonna be in the media them day every day they're gonna interview him they're gonna want to know what's going on how he doing what about his hair his cleats you feel what i'm saying it's it's different and i think the giants probably going on throughout the rest of the season didn't want to have to deal with that bro that was gonna be a lot because y 'all know OBJ ain't gonna be cool with what's going on right now.

12:41Chad Johnson:You can tell. It's hard. He speaks about it. Oh yeah.

12:45Shannon Sharpe:Once you become that guy, it's hard to be a guy. Yeah. Hey, you learn real quick, huh? I learned real quick. When I was over there down in Boston, you hear me? Yeah. Joe, I learned real fast. And nobody had to explain it to me. I understood it. They didn't have to explain it to me. So, I mean, Odell would have had to understand that where he is right now in his career. I think that's probably not what he wanted. He wanted the opportunities as if, you know, he was still Odell of young. And I know how hard he worked. I know how hard he worked. I've seen him in the preseason. I've seen him slicing and dicing, still getting open, still creating separation, still able to make those plays that he made once in the past.

13:28Maybe not the same Odell, you know, he once was, but he's still a viable option. He's still a viable target. And I was hoping they would give him the opportunity to showcase that. And, I mean, hell, you know how the NFL is. Hey, boy, it's a nasty business, boy. It's happened to all of us. Yeah, Julio Jones, huh? When Julio was in Atlanta. Yes. Left Atlanta. Did he go to Tennessee first?

13:50Shannon Sharpe:He went to Tennessee. Then he went to Tampa. He went to Philly, Tampa. Went a couple of places. And you put certain individuals that have always had that it factor, huh? You know, you take the opportunities away from them. Of course they look just like a guy, Joe. Ain't nothing wrong with certain individuals. They can still play the game.

14:09Chad Johnson:But you got to be able to. Go ahead, Joe. You got to be able to adapt, though. Okay, Ocho. You know, it take me back to, I remember, you remember how AI dominated so much, bro, and then when he got traded to, like, Memphis and then Detroit Pistons, he won the same. It's hard to adapt in those situations when everything is geared around you. You feel what I'm saying? Yeah. As much as we love them, you know, it's just a different situation, bro. And I'm sure OBJ wasn't thinking coming into this situation that, you know, he just thought he was going to get more opportunities at the end of the day.

14:41Chad Johnson:He wanted to go out in style. Y 'all know OBJ, bro.

14:44Shannon Sharpe:Come on. Yes. Oh, yeah. When you're a lesser tier player, you get more opportunity than a historically great player. You know why, Ocho? Let me tell you why it is. Because everybody expects OBJ to be what he once was in New York the first time. He's never going to be that. And so people say, well, he's washed. If you compare him to what he once was, sure. But he was never going to be that because he was never going to get the opportunities that he got. Julio, they didn't give Julio the opportunities. And then Julio, the injury bug started biting Julio. He couldn't stay healthy. But a combination of couldn't stay healthy and I'm not getting the same opportunities.

15:22Shannon Sharpe:Well, you can't expect me to have 100 catches and 1 ,300, 1 ,400 yards with eight, nine touchdowns, Ocho. when you take me from 150 targets, you take me down to 85. With just 85 targets, ain't no way I can get 100 catches. Because you short me 15 targets, even if I caught everything you threw my way. So now, people don't look at it like that. Well, all they see is OBJ. They see Beckham. They see 13. I want to see the one-handed catches. I want to see the acrobatic stuff. I want to see the moonwalk.

15:56Chad Johnson:Yeah. well they're not giving him opportunities like that yeah and sometimes sometimes they say love

16:03Shannon Sharpe:is like an eclair it can't be reheated sometimes you can't go home again hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on love is like a what let me let me put this in my notes a declare like eclair like the donut declare yeah yeah once it goes cold joe it can't be reheated you got to get that thing hot yeah sometimes Dorothy said and everybody started to believe there's no place like home hello sometimes you can't go home I know OBJ wanted to go back to where it started where it all started

16:41Shannon Sharpe:and maybe that was the only one that was going to give him an opportunity but unless you put him in the situation it's the same thing as Russell Westbrook Russell was never going to be the player he was in OKC unless you put him in that same environment. Right. If you say, okay, Russ, you're the focal point. Yeah, he can get you a triple-double. Yeah. Because he's going to play just that hard. But when you diminish his role and you play him, instead of him playing 38 to 40 minutes, Joe, you know not all of a sudden he playing 28 to 30 minutes, he's not going to be the same player. Right. OBJ was never going to be the same player because he wasn't going to get the same opportunities.

17:24Shannon Sharpe:And the fans don't see that, Ocho. You know, that's why they ask you, man, what happened to you? They didn't think, man, look at all the weapons that they had. I was Johnny Gill. I came to New Edition. They had been there. They both in Roxbury. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Man, they didn't want to hear. Man, they didn't give me the same opportunity that I had in Cincinnati. I didn't have the rapport with Brady that I had with Carson. The offense wasn't – I wasn't first option. I was the third. Most sometimes I was fourth option. Yeah. So how can you expect me to give you same production when I'm three pegs lower on the rung than I was in Cincinnati?

18:09Chad Johnson:Yeah.

18:09Shannon Sharpe:Not possible. Hey, it is what it is. I've been there. We've all been there. Oh, yeah. We've all been the guy. all of a sudden we're not the guy but people still see Johnson on the back of the jersey in football and basketball they saw Sharp and they're like bro damn

18:30Shannon Sharpe:but instead of me getting the opportunity Rod getting him yeah I ain't got no problem with that just give me a couple of passes I'm gonna just keep me happy a little bit right right let me touch the pig skin a little bit that's all but the thing is that what I've always, what I was good at guys, I didn't press. Even though I knew I wasn't getting opportunities, man, I was like, bro, this ain't nothing but a five-yard route. Ain't no sense in me dropping it because I'm trying to get up out of dodge and try to turn it into a 50-yard touchdown. Because you have a tendency to do that because you know your opportunities are few and far between.

19:07Shannon Sharpe:Yes. And you try to make every opportunity, you try to make every opportunity go. You start pressing. You start pressing. And when you start pressing, it get worse whoa whoa whoa oh yeah it's just like hey it's just like your basketball i'm telling

19:26Chad Johnson:you bro it's the same way guys come in trying to catch a rhythm game going good trying to get involved and you start pressing or like we talked about the other night guys being in a contract yeah and you take a different type of individual to be able to go out there and perform at a high level and not press knowing that you know yeah the next five ten years is on the line you feel me

19:49Shannon Sharpe:yeah but you know what joe i was always one of those guys i was making the same amount of money whether you threw me 10 balls or you threw me one now your chances greatly and your odds of winning greatly increased when i got those 10 balls right right right but i ain't open my mouth because i will make sure my check i ain't giving no money back i don't want you talking about you got conduct detrimental to the team nah i'm gonna sit my black ass right here collect them checks i ain't gonna say nothing y 'all know y 'all saw me all week in practice cooking i'm cooking i just need opportunities the opportunity wasn't there hey hey rod when i left and came back rod was the guy rod had gone to probos rod had been an all pro yeah back to back 100 catch seasons huh what I'm supposed to do?

20:41It's tough, not old. It's tough. Yeah, my bad, Joe.

20:46Chad Johnson:No, go ahead, Ocho. I was going to say it's the nature of the business. It sucks once you get on the back end. It sucks once you hit a certain age, especially if you don't play quarterback. I mean, it just sucks, and it's nature of the business, and it's been that way for a very long time. And sometimes the casual fan doesn't quite understand it, but those who are football enthusiasts, those who are basketball enthusiasts, they understand the nature of the business and how it works. But sometimes, though, you know, you got to wait your turn. Okay, Ocho, everybody don't get handed the ball to them right when they come into the league, whether it's football or basketball.

21:19Chad Johnson:Sometimes, hey, you got to grind two, three years, bro, before an opportunity present itself. Yes. You just got to make sure you're ready when that opportunity presents itself. You feel what I'm saying? And I think as a professional, that's one of the hardest things to do is to stay in shape, keep your mind right, and stay engaged, bro, when you ain't really getting the reps.

21:39Shannon Sharpe:You know what I think the thing is? What separates, and probably Joe, you went through it also, is because of how we started. We weren't the guys when we started. So we didn't come in. You didn't come in being able to get 20, 22 shots a night. I didn't come in being able to get 10, 11 targets a game. So when they reduced mine, I had been here before.

22:00Chad Johnson:Yeah.

22:00Shannon Sharpe:This was an unfamiliar territory. Ochoa, when you come in like Odell came in,

22:06Chad Johnson:Yeah.

22:07Shannon Sharpe:And you had the first three, four years like he had.

22:10Chad Johnson:Crazy. And then all of a sudden, it hit a little different.

22:15Shannon Sharpe:Boy, it's hard. It hit a little different. Your parents, all your life, your parents have been giving you$1 ,000 a month, $1 ,000 a month allowance. They cut your allowance to$50. Let's see how you behave. Exactly. So you're going to get your whole career, Ocho. You done got 10, 11, 12 targets a game. You already know. Or even on a bad day, I'm going to get eight targets. A great day, I might get 12, 13. Yeah. You go from that to getting no targets? That's tough, boy. Yeah.

22:56Chad Johnson:I already know it. Because, hey, think about it. OBJ, man, he wanted that storybook ending. Okay, Ocho. Yes. The boy had them went back to that blind because it took him back. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That man wasn't playing, man. He was trying to go out there and do something. Yeah, them folks cut that man. Oh, man. And I don't like Harbaugh comments either. They couldn't find, they couldn't find. Yeah, just say it didn't work out and just keep it moving.

23:22Shannon Sharpe:Don't say we wanted to get it more involved. We just couldn't know how, we didn't know how we could. Yoke can figure it out.

23:29Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, hold on, hold on. Somebody from OBJ's team must have been on their ass about something. That might have been it. Wonder why he wasn't playing. I don't know.

23:39Shannon Sharpe:You know what? I don't even want to speculate that OBJ had a conversation with somebody because I don't know. All we know is this. They released him. Based on what we've seen from him, I don't think we're surprised. The man had one target in three games. Who's surprised by that? I don't know he's on a minimum contract, but if I need a roster spot, guess where I'm going to get that roster spot from? somebody that I'm not using. Yeah, he's an odd man out. He's an odd man out. I just don't understand with the questions that are still there, even if you want to go young, you still, to me, I would think you would still need that veteran presence.

24:17You would still need that reliable target, especially with being up in the air with Malik coming off ACL, now a shoulder injury. I just cannot really rely on all the young bulls in there if I'm really, really serious about being consistent and actually trying to win games.

24:36Shannon Sharpe:it's just hard when everybody really it's hard when this team moves on this team moves on and this team moves on and you're older if you're young Ocho you know you're like okay a James Harrison got cut goes to Baltimore gets cut comes back gets cut goes back to Pittsburgh gets cut gets cuts again but he's 22 23 you're 30 31 you're not finna keep getting cut like that they finna get you up out the league yeah I hate that I hate how they weed you out man I hate it you never get to leave on your own terms very seldom Uncle Joe do you get to leave on your own terms and write your own storybook ending very seldom

25:19Chad Johnson:there's only a few it's only a handful

25:21Shannon Sharpe:but guess what if they play long enough they get cut too because the old saying in medicine says if we live long enough we'll die of something that's other than natural causes some disease if you live long enough. Yes, sir. You play long enough, they'll get you up out of there. I don't give a damn how long you play. I don't care how great you were. It's time. Come on.

25:41Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah, you're absolutely right. You get that knock on that door. For sure. For what? They're going to have somebody ready to replace you. Quick.

25:50Shannon Sharpe:Absolutely. And they've been thinking about it. Like, boy, the first time we see a little slippage.

25:58Shannon Sharpe:They're moving on. That's why I'm saying enjoy it while you can. Make as much money as you can. Create as many memories as you can. Hello. That's what sports are about. Money and memories. That's it. The objective is to try to get as much as both as you possibly can. Hello. Because it's going to end. Yeah. Whether you want it to or not, everybody doesn't get a lawyer or a doctor or somebody, you know, you get a 20. There have been very few players that played 20 years that weren't quarterbacks and kickers. Yep. You get Jackie Slater as an offensive lineman. You get Jerry Rice at the wide receiver.

26:37Shannon Sharpe:You get Jim Marshall. But other than that, it's basically quarterbacks and kickers.

26:41Chad Johnson:Yeah.

26:46Shannon Sharpe:That's why I tell the guys, hey, give it all you got while you can because it's going to come to an end now whether you want it to or not. and it doesn't matter if you think you got more years in you it only matters if one of those 32 teams think you can contribute or help them hello hello that phone gonna stop ringing man i'm in great shape man i can still

27:12shoot i can go right now yeah i feel like i can go out there right now joe you feel me yeah

27:17Chad Johnson:devil is a lie you can't go out you can't go out there and take them hits boy You see how the boy like that hit?

27:26Shannon Sharpe:Boy, boy, that dude hit you like he hit Jaylen Hurts. Now it's just Ocho, Unk, and Iso. Hey, see, Jaylen tripping. I would have been here. I would have been here to put that, what you be saying? Put that blinker? Man, that blinker, I would have been making a U-turn. Jaylen playing around. No, no, no, no, no. But OBJ, let's see if somebody picks him up moving forward. With the Patriots off to a rough start, 1-2, the drama is unfolding. Here's Mike Brable denying rumors of friction between him and Drake May. He had heard that there was an issue between you and Drake May. Are there any issues?

29:41He heard from him.

29:43Chad Johnson:That's a good question for him. Unnamed sources? Yep, unnamed sources. Okay. Let me just tell you why I'm here. I'm here because Drake was the quarterback. Believe it or not, I had choices to where I wanted to coach. I wanted to coach here because Drake was the quarterback. So, you know, I don't have really much other to add to that about, you know, a comment that from an unnamed source. But I'll just tell you what I've told numerous people if they want to ask me why I'm here. hey hey uncle joe i i think people uh reporters should already know that that at times you know quarterbacks and coaches don't see the eye to eye and you i'm sure in basketball when it comes to basketball sometimes the players on the court don't see eye to eye with the coach yeah now what you do hope and what you do want is the two people that always have to be in line and the person that's on the field that has to be an extension of the coach is your quarterback.

30:38But at times, there is friction. Hell, I've seen it with my own eyes. For myself, in that same place, that same winning organization, because of the expectation that they create for themselves, at times, it's like this. But it only created greatness and helped me better understand why they always won consistently time and time again. Now, right now, they're one and two. There's some frustration. Drake hasn't played well. Maybe Mike Rabel, being the way he coaches, the way he is, Maybe might've been a little harsh on them. You know, you, you don't know because we're not in the building, but whatever it is they have going on, they got to get it.

31:14They got to get it together. Cause Mike Raven ain't going nowhere. And Drake may ain't going nowhere. Right.

31:19Shannon Sharpe:Well, I do believe, I do believe Braves. When you're that level of coach, he had opportunity. He had other suitors. If you've got suitors. Yes. Me personally. Yeah. Who has the best quarterback? Bingo. Cause that's going to be, that's going to be for me to stay for a period of a extended period of time because without that I don't give a damn how great I am at x's and o's and strategy and being a ceo and managing people without a quarterback you getting your ass handed to you and you getting your your your pink slip yeah every time they're gonna give you your walking papers he's looking at like hey I got a second year quarterback that means I could have him for a potential long period of time I bring somebody hey, Joshua McDaniels, I've seen him work miracles with a lot of quarterbacks.

32:04Shannon Sharpe:I saw what he did with Brady. Sit Brady aside. I could have coached Brady. Sit Brady aside. But we saw what he did with Matt Castle. We saw what he did with Jimmy Garoppolo. We saw what he did with Jacoby Brissett. We saw what he did with Matt Jones. So his ability to coach there, there in New England. He's been sauced every other place he's ever been. But there, he's been spectacular. Yeah. Yeah. So I don't have a problem with that, and there should be. Bro, we're not winning. Because you know why we're not winning? Because, Drake, man, you're playing horrible.

32:36Chad Johnson:Yeah.

32:37Shannon Sharpe:I'm not finna pat you on the back. Too many times parents pat their kids on the back when the kid effing up. And then there's a level of expectation that that's how the world's going to be. The world's not going to be like that. When you mess up, your boss going to put foot in you and going to put you out the door. Hey, boy, the world comes through, right? Hello. So I'm telling you now, Drake, man, bro, Bro, you're going to get cut and get me fired. You got to play better. Bro, look at these numbers. He's completing 64 % of his passes. In three games, he's thrown for 585 yards, one touchdown, six interceptions with two fumbles.

33:13Shannon Sharpe:What am I supposed to do with that? We in week three, he got six interceptions? Six interceptions and two fumbles.

33:20Chad Johnson:Hey, I think the most glaring thing that we're looking at right now is the fact that they're just coming off playing in the Super Bowl. Yes. So the expectations are there. Obviously losing A.J. Brown, you know, obviously probably his number one. But, yeah, Ocho, he hasn't been playing well, bro. So, look, all these questions, they're going to come. And when you're losing, y 'all know when you're losing, bro. It can tear the damn house down. You hear me? Yes. So they got to stay locked in. They got to get on one of the core, bro. They got to get on the same page.

33:55Shannon Sharpe:plus a lot of people feel like quarterbacks should be above reproach if you're not playing well you're not playing well people fans can see that people might get on us because they say oh y 'all harsh you're not harsh on this one that well maybe there's not the same level of expectations right yeah great may after coming up the super bowl there was a level of expectation he was supposed to play better. It's his third year. He wasn't supposed to regress. He was supposed to progress. Progress must progress. He's regressed. He looked worse this year than he did in his rookie year.

34:35Shannon Sharpe:So, it's only right that even if his coach is calling it out, like, son, you got to play better. In order for us to win, you have to play better. You're continually putting us in harm's way by playing bad. It's putting our defense out in the field more than they should have to play. And I don't care how great your defense is, if you put them out on the field enough, they'll crack. Yeah. You know what else is weird, too? When Bill was there and there were any issues, you ever notice, you never heard a reporter say, a source said something to Bill? Nope. Ever. So, I mean, they got leaks. They got cracks inside the locker room because nobody should know that there should be any issues going on.

35:16Nobody should know. Yeah. Part of the Patriot way is everything was always kept in house. I might have only been there that one year, and now I'm just saying they had some other problems, other issues with the flategate and spygate and all that stuff. But that year I was there, there were no problems. You never hear stuff like this come out, well, we heard from an anonymous source, unnamed source, that you and Tom don't get along, or you guys had a riff, or you guys had... No. But now all of a sudden, Brave was a coach. a new era you know is there now now things that are going on in-house are getting leaked out out

35:53Shannon Sharpe:the house yes it's hard because the more people know something the greater chance it is to get out yeah yeah two people two people can keep a secret one of them got to be dead so it's only one person the moment because you never know people pillow talk that's the number that's the number of how things get out it's pillar talking Joe you're right it's really really simple and this is what I like to tell young guys you can take work home but you can never take home to work

36:35Shannon Sharpe:what was discussed at the practice facility it never came home with Shannon Hello. Man, I don't know. How you don't know? You was there. Right. Man, I must have been in the training room, or maybe I was in the weight room when that happened. Right.

36:51Chad Johnson:Right.

36:52Shannon Sharpe:I was right there in the thick of it. Hey. That's crazy. And you need to get your ass off the phone, all that gossiping. Because when the rubber needs to meet the road, they're going to put that off on somebody. Yeah. Oh, yeah. You're going to be that somebody because you got less tenure than the other wives that's been, girlfriends, that's been here. Stay out of that. Where they going, you not going.

37:25Chad Johnson:Hello. Hello. You don't want to get in that mess, man.

37:29Shannon Sharpe:Not one time.

37:31Chad Johnson:No, sir.

37:32Shannon Sharpe:Not one time I dated anybody who did anything. I don't know, sir. But everybody say they go. I don't care. Yeah, that's law. That's just how we keep, that's how you keep confusion down, Joe. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

37:48Chad Johnson:Well, you know what? You right, because I feel like that's law, meaning like I ain't saying that our girlfriends or wives can't converse, but look, I don't know what he got going on when we get off the plane at two in the morning. You know what I'm saying? I don't want her calling you, talking about has Joe made it home? Hey, man. Hey, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. We ain't in there. You know what I'm saying? That's it. I know exactly what you mean, yeah. Man, Joe, that sounds like that.

38:17Shannon Sharpe:They say they going out. Did they go out? Right.

38:28They be doing that, boy? Hey, Joe.

38:33Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, yeah. What you want me to say? I want you to hang the damn phone up.

38:43Hey, that's tough. So that's how things get out. Yeah, I haven't had a chance to experience that, but sounds interesting.

38:51Chad Johnson:Oh, Joe, I had a teammate. He got caught from his Uber history. Huh? Yeah, his lady went through his Uber history and was like, damn, at two in the morning, you got dropped off here. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, it's a cold game though, boy. Uber history? Yeah, his Uber history. So she went through, she took her time to go through. She was booking herself a ride somewhere, but he let her in his account, because we had a game this day. I never forget, we had a game this day. He was like, he let her in his account so she can book a ride to the airport. Yeah, man, she went on through that, man, Uber history.

39:29Chad Johnson:Yeah. I never understood that, Uncle Joe. What's that? You know, when it comes to, obviously, the greatest gift God has given to us as men, as women, the greatest gift ever, you know? But at times, I'm always curious. Like, when you're happy, why do you go looking for stuff? I'm just curious, especially when things are going well. Why do you always look for something to be upset about if you're just truly happy? I always thought about that. Why do you go through phones? I mean, everyone has this love or passion for going through phones and being sneaky when you're sleeping. Why is that? I'm just curious.

40:07Because what are you looking for? My grandma always said, my grandma always said, boy, if you go looking, you're going to find exactly what you're looking for.

40:15Shannon Sharpe:Guess what, Ocho? Sometimes you go looking for something and you ain't looking for that. You ever been looking for one thing and found another? There it is. Come on now. Now what you see? Now you got your face cracked. Now you. I can see. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Don't come now.

40:34Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, hold on, time out. How many times has a person went looking and didn't find nothing and didn't say nothing? You know what I mean? Think about that too now. Like, there probably been times. Yeah, that happens a lot, bro. But you ain't gonna never know. You know what I mean? Yeah, I'm going from court. That's a question I never had answered. I've never had the opportunity to be able to ask on this type of platform, something like that. I'm just curious, you know, based on y 'all experiences, you know, why? Do you want to be happy? You want to be right? Do you want to be happy? Do you want to be right?

41:08You can't have both.

41:10Shannon Sharpe:I think the thing is, Ocho, for me, I'm so routine-oriented. If I start and get gas, why you late? Because I go from point A to point B. right that's that's how i've always been like that so if i do any i do deviate i can't go get me nothing to eat i can't go buy fast food i can't get nothing i can't go to the grocery store because if i'm if i'm five minutes late anybody that date dating me could tell you oh i know where he is yeah what time is it oh he at the gym yeah oh he is oh what day is oh he has cbs because i do I'm so patterned. I'm so routine. I like to do all my stuff. So I'll leave.

41:54Shannon Sharpe:Leave work. I would come home. I would eat breakfast. I would go lift. I would go to Target, go to Whole Foods, come back home. That's my recycle. If I didn't do that, where you been? Hey, I like that. What you like about that? No, because, hey, Joe, I mean, what I'm just said, the way he's routine, I'm routine too, Joe. People that don't even follow me, if you follow me on Twitter, just say, just for instance, you follow me on Twitter, right? And you've been following me long enough, you can tell exactly where I am based on the time of day. Because my routine hasn't changed for damn near 15 years.

42:35It hasn't changed. If I'm getting in the car in the middle of the day and I'm not at home, I'm either at the cigar bar or at my Cuba spot. If somebody wanted to find me and do something bad to me, they know exactly where to come. Because nothing has changed. Nothing has changed in my life. I have the same old, boring, you-know-what routine. Always. And I'm always at the same spots every single day of the week. Nothing changes.

43:01Chad Johnson:I'm saying he get grilled if he go off-road. I'm like, damn, I feel like you under surveillance a little bit, ain't it?

43:09Shannon Sharpe:hey like the guys like hey sharp we going to grab something you want to go nah I have to put that request in at the beginning of the week oh you got to get permission to go where you want to go oh yeah yeah yeah because it ain't worth the argument so you in prison it ain't worth the hassle I want peace of mind so if guys wanted to do something I was like okay look it's like hey man sharp you know hey we going to this new spot called Jimmy's yeah hey next Thursday not this Thursday next Thursday the guys are going to Jimmy's I'm going so you got to get you hey Joe he talking about you having to get a permission slip well here Unc asking permission too yeah but see Joe it keeps it keeps down confusion it keeps down an argument and so the thing I don't I'm not a confrontational person I'm not by nature same but when you take it there I ain't got no choice.

44:06Shannon Sharpe:I ain't came back down. But it sounds like, hey, Joe, honestly, the way Unc, you know, he reporting in, and it sounds like a PO, it sounds like a parole officer to me.

44:16Chad Johnson:Hey, I understand where you going, Ocho, but I get what Unc saying too. You know what I mean? Like, just so it ain't no confusion, nah, fellas, I ain't even gonna, you know what I mean?

44:26Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, exactly, exactly.

44:28Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah, yeah, cause he already know Hermione gonna be wandering. He don't even wanna, he don't even wanna have to deal with that when he come home and had to face that madness. I know what you're talking about, huh? Hey, man, listen. I think, obviously, to me, it sounds like at times, we as men, especially in relationships, because we always want to keep our spouse, whoever we're dealing with, happy. You know, the whole happy wife, happy life. But in a way, it almost seems as if we lose a sense of self. At least we lose a sense of self in a sense because everything is about appeasing that individual.

44:59Shannon Sharpe:Yes. And then it's like, well, hell, what about me? What about me? Oh, Joe. Oh, Joe, you can absolutely lose yourself trying to appease and please someone else. You absolutely can. And at some point, Joe, you get fed up with it. Joe do. And then you start, you end up resenting. Well, goddamn, I'm sick of this. I'm sick of reporting in. I'm sick of having to, it just. I have, I did that too. I'm like, hold on, wait a minute. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm paying all these bills. I got the. Yeah. Yeah, after a while. The last person I really had to report to, and I really didn't have to report to her, was Granny.

45:38Shannon Sharpe:Oh. And I just had a simple rule, I didn't come in the house after midnight. Even though my brother and I had paid the house off and we grown, it was a respect level. Yes. I ain't coming in my grandmother's house after 12.

45:51Chad Johnson:Yeah.

45:51Shannon Sharpe:Never have, never would. Yeah. But I was just like, hold on, I got to tell you everything? Yeah. Yeah, and in the beginning, it's cool, though. Yeah, it's good. But then you get to a porn, don't you? It's too much.

46:06Chad Johnson:Yeah. It's like a line at the circus. Oh, we can have a good time. But don't turn me up because, hey, I can turn into this beast. I can turn into this damn monster.

46:18Shannon Sharpe:Hey, it ain't going to be pretty.

46:20Chad Johnson:I promise you.

46:21Shannon Sharpe:I promise you. You know what? I don't want to jump through that ring with the fire. I ain't going to do it. I'm going to sit right here. yeah i like it but you know did all these other times i don't want to do it today right right bang yeah i like it i mean listen at the end of the day whoever we're dealing with we always want them we always want them happy we always want them at ease you know at peace but just at over time having to do the same thing and having to reassure constantly yeah that's what that's what's hard that's what's hard oh yeah yeah it becomes like like godly now come on now this is second job Ah, what?

46:57Shannon Sharpe:This is a second job reassuring somebody day after day. Baby, you love, yeah, I love you.

47:06Hey, listen, if they -

47:08Shannon Sharpe:Man, such and such, because see, a lot of times in a relationship, they judge their relationship based on somebody else's relationship. Oh, yeah. You know, they went to Cancun. He just surprised her. Yeah, yeah. I got a surprise for you. If you don't start messing with me, they ain't trying to throw you hints. Trying to throw some hints. But I didn't get into this relationship to be compared to somebody else's relationship. Come on now. Or what you did in a previous relationship. Oh man, my old boyfriend, he got this yacht, we pulled up to this dock, they were -

47:49Chad Johnson:No, no, no, no, no. If she doing all that - What?

47:55Shannon Sharpe:I had to go, Joe. She bring up anything. And the doc, and do what? They had breakfast, they would do, hey yeah. I don't know if it was a yacht, but they pulled up somewhere. I was like, oh, he did all that? I said, you left him for my boring ass?

48:15Chad Johnson:Because I'm boring. Yeah, that would have been the last time we talked. You go to talk about what you did with your eggs, that's the last time you ever go in for a while. I don't want any of that shit. Yeah. Joe! Hey, Joe, what you say, Joe? I don't want any of that shit? What you mean? You talking about what? I mean, what? Get your ass because, Joe,

48:34Shannon Sharpe:the thing is that I'm saying, stop comparing your relationship to what your previous relationship or what somebody else's relationship is. Man, your whole girl. I don't know if we got this in here. The Savannah James situation, we're going to talk about that, Savannah James. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, I got something like that, yeah. On Sunday, the Titans were at the Giants of the seven-yard line, 24 seconds remaining, when he dropped back to pass. He could have run for a touchdown, but instead threw an interception. to Javon Holland in 12-7 loss.

50:43Shannon Sharpe:Coach Robert Sala was asked about Ward's continued struggles after 20 career starts. Let's take a listen to what Coach had to say. You know, what you see early in games, at least, and it's getting later and later in games, too. You see him comfortable in the pocket. You see him trusting the offensive line. And then later in the game, you kind of see him kind of revert back to some old habits. But I do think he's getting better in that regard. I think he's starting to really appreciate the offensive line because I think they are doing a really good job protecting him, and I think he's building that trust.

51:15Shannon Sharpe:You've got to remember the young man was sacked however many times last year, so I'm sure there's some PTSD there, but he's getting better. He's trusting it. His footwork is lasting him longer in the game, so if that makes sense. But, yeah, from an accuracy standpoint, decision-making standpoint, everything starts with your feet at the quarterback position. Hey, I understand completely what he's saying. Obviously, I've seen breakdown in some of the films, some of the All-22 films, with Cam Ward and some of the issues that everyone has been griping about, missing a lot of passes. And one thing I do like about him, Unc, and what Coach just mentioned, what Coach just mentioned, Salah, about him, his comfortability and trusting the offensive line, I've never seen a quarterback this young in only his second year had that type of composure when he dropped back and sits in the pocket.

52:07Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah. It almost looks like he's so relaxed and so composed, Unc, it looks as if he's not even trying. I'm talking about he's just sitting there chilling, like with people bearing down trying to knock your head off. So I think he's on the right path to improving and fixing some of the things that he needs to, and it all starts with him. Anytime there's any confusion or anything, any discussion of why the offense or why the team in general isn't playing well offensively, it all starts with him, the quarterback. You have the ball in your hands the most in Tennessee. And for you guys to have success offensively, you have to be better.

52:45Chad Johnson:And, hey, and when you talk about Ocho, with him being a number one pick, the number one pick, hey, man, there's expectations, bro. High. Through the roof. You know, very, very high. So, you know, he got some work to do. I like his calmness back there too, Ocho, but sometimes his nonchalantness, it kind of gets him in trouble. It gets him in trouble sometimes. He be back there chilling. I'm like, man, what the hell? Yeah, and then now he got to go from zero to 100. Right. And that's pretty much where his mistakes has started to come from. You know what I mean? Because I think they do a decent job in getting down the field.

53:23Chad Johnson:When you get in the red zone, you got to capitalize. And he made some mistakes. Obviously, you want to see him progress and get better as the season goes on. It's still early, man. I think they still got – what, they 0-3? 0-4.

53:36Shannon Sharpe:Let me ask you a question, guys. Ocho, you think he was sacked or hit any more than Andrew Luck? No. Hold on. What about Derek Carr? No, not Derek Carr. David Carr. David. David got sacked like 70-something times his rookie year. Damn. But look at how many times they hit Andrew Luck. Oh, yeah. In order for a quarterback. and he's going to have to remove this. Yes. You've got to look down the gun barrel. Yeah. And you can't flinch. Once they find out you'll flinch. Yeah. They coming. Yeah. They coming. And all the good ones have had to stare down the barrel. Yeah. And fire downfield. That's the only way you can get great.

54:19Shannon Sharpe:And I get that. But in this situation right here, that might be some of the case. He was outside of the pocket. He had 24 seconds left in the game. He had not one, but two timeouts. There was no reason for him to throw that football. Right, yeah. I get being sacked a lot, and sometimes it does something to you, it speeds you up. But in this situation, throw it out of bounds. Live to see another day. He has to learn that. That's what he's going to have to learn. That's what young quarterbacks need to learn. You turning the ball over on first and second down, and you got two timeouts. Huh? Fourth down, okay.

55:01Shannon Sharpe:I'm going to buy as much time as I can. I'm going to give somebody an opportunity to make a play for me. But I can't turn the ball over, Ocho, on second or third down. I just can't. Not on the seven-yard line. I've got to live to see another day. He didn't lie. You remember last year they asked him? They asked him a question. What did he say, Ocho? He said, we ass.

55:18Chad Johnson:He didn't lie. They still cheat. They got him some weapons, though. He got weapons now here. He just got to find a way to use them and get the most out of them.

55:30Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.

55:30Chad Johnson:But he got some weapons now.

55:31Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, he do. Hey, look at that Cardinal team. Bro, you're the number one overall pick. Expectations are through the roof. Yes. Yeah, I agree. And they're not going to subside. I don't care.

55:43Shannon Sharpe:I love the fact today he's like, yeah, I got to be better. It starts with me. Everybody got to be better, but it starts with me. I got to be better. And you do. As Ochoa said, hey, you got the ball every single time. Every time. It starts and stops with you. I know one thing. I love the way when he gets that ball and he, man, take that step, them steps. Hey, Uncle Joe, it's like he at the club or something, boy. I'm talking about chilling. Hey, hold on. He's chilling. Hey. Hold on, Ocho. You said it right. Nonchalant?

56:17Chad Johnson:Nonchalant, yeah. He be back there. Hey, Joe, I'm talking about he relaxed. Like it ain't nobody trying to knock his head off. He's chilling. Yeah. Yeah. I like that. I like his style. Yeah, he got to figure it out, man. He got a little, he got a little, he got a little Patty Mahomes in him too. You know, he got a little Patty Mahomes. He'll try to get a, he got some talent, Ocho. You know, we talk about those runs. We talk about those runs that those guys make like they going out of bounds and they may get an extra three, four yards. Yeah. He got a little bit of that in him too. You know, I be seeing him out there trying to throw them little no looks and little sidearm joints.

56:51Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

56:54Shannon Sharpe:But there's a time and a place for those, Joe. At the seven-yard line with 24 seconds and two timeouts is not the time to do anything but to get your team in the end zone. Score a touchdown, we win. We ain't got to do nothing else. We ain't got to kick the PAT because, hey, we're going to walk it off. Yeah. We're going to walk it off.

57:13Shannon Sharpe:He's got to be better.

57:19Shannon Sharpe:Me, personally, I hated playing with young quarterbacks because in the meantime, while he's trying to get better, we're getting our ass kicked. So by the time he get better, I might not even be there. So what does that do for me? I'm trying to win now.

57:36Chad Johnson:But how many quarterbacks come into the league, bro? And I'm talking about in the first two years, they just – well, I mean, we've seen a couple.

57:44Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, I think that you see Jane Daniels and you see some of these other quarterbacks coming to the league in their first year. And that's the problem is that they've come into the league and you see a Russell Wilson. You see an Andrew Luck. You see an RG3. You see the guys. So now they're not giving you an opportunity. It's too much money now, Joe. Yeah. I handed you$60 million. Yeah. And now guess what? In three years, I'm going to have to make a decision. Do I give you another$300 million? I'm sorry, Joe. I'm going to have to smash these eggs to get these chickens. I can't let them hatch. Yeah.

58:19Shannon Sharpe:Hey, you got to be the answer, Joe. You got to be the answer. I hand you$60 million, and then in three years, I got to turn around. I got to make a decision, Joe. Do I hand you another$300 million with$200 million guaranteed?

58:32Chad Johnson:Mm-hmm. Damn, boy. Shoot. Hey, tell Salah, come slash me$150. I'll go out there and play quarterback for the Titans. Huh?

58:43Shannon Sharpe:Hey.

58:47Shannon Sharpe:But I think the thing is, he's going to have to get this thing right in a hurry. Because ain't nobody coming to rescue the Titans. Ain't nobody feeling sorry for the Titans.

58:59Chad Johnson:He better go to the bank, boy. He going through some growing pains, Ocho. Yeah. And sometimes that's needed, bro. You know, to make you lock in a little harder. So, you know, I hope he get it going, bro. I hope he get it going. I like him. He got some games. When I think about C.J. Stroud, I think about Jaden Daniels and their first years and how good they were. And they had that sophomore slump in a sense. Yeah. So, you know, the Cam Wars, first year wasn't really that. You know, this year, the start of this year, it hasn't been, you know, what we want or what we expect. so there's really only one way to go from his point anyway.

59:45There's only one way to go, Joe. It's up. It's improving.

59:49Chad Johnson:I got a question, though. Are the Titans like the Browns? They just a bad and a horrible organization? I mean, I'm asking. They had a good coach.

1:00:01Shannon Sharpe:They had a down year or two, and they got rid of Vrabel. He was a better coach. Yeah. At this point, it's really simple. It's really simple. Find a quarterback. They got rid of Tannehill. Tannehill wasn't the answer. They got Malik Willis. He wasn't the answer. Will Levis, he wasn't the answer. Now they got Cam Ward.

1:00:25Shannon Sharpe:Until you find a quarterback, you're wasting time. All that other stuff, all that other stuff doesn't matter. Manicured lawns, great head coaching, great facilities. Without him, what you doing?

1:00:40Chad Johnson:it's hard to find a good quarterback it's hard it is a generational one I mean you might find a decent yeah that's hard

1:00:51Shannon Sharpe:somebody that you say you know what we got this guy for the next 10-15 years yeah yeah

1:00:56Chad Johnson:that's hard

1:00:58Shannon Sharpe:it is running back Derrick Henry spoke about facing Tennessee Titans for the first time since being let go in 2024 it still feels like family there so it's always love but it ain't going to be much love on Sunday though. Henry said the team shipped him out. It was bittersweet. I think I knew the writing was on the wall throughout the season and they weren't ready to move on. And they were ready to move on. Excuse me. Good things don't last forever, so it was time for me to find a new home and I knew what that home I wanted it to be. And there it was. Looking back at it, is your dev kept there, Henry?

1:01:35Chad Johnson:No. No. No. Let that man go, bro. Hell, they were horrible with him, Uncle Ocho. They ain't like they was, you know, no hell of a team. Let that man go, man. The man got a great opportunity, a great chance to really do something special this year. You already know how they feel about running backs. You know, they don't value as is. As you get older, you know, they don't want to pay you, you know, what you're getting paid. You know, that's one. It was a business reason why they let him go. we want to get these numbers off the books I think they brought in Tony Pollard after that if I'm not mistaken right?

1:02:12They did yeah

1:02:15Shannon Sharpe:different back but think about it Ocho they let Derrick Henry go they traded A.J. Brown that's two of your best offensive weapons right there so what did you expect to happen and you brought in Traylon Burks your guy Joe he from Arkansas Arkansas. Yeah. Oh, he's a bigger, he's a bigger A.J. Brown. Okay, I get all that. I get all that. I do. I really do.

1:02:50Shannon Sharpe:Every time. It's okay. It's okay. The model car that I got now, it's okay if they come out with a newer model. All they did was change the body style. And the lights. The car still run good. It seems like every time, well, he's similar to A.J. Brown or he's similar to this guy. Well, let's get him and let this guy go. That guy's been productive for you three, four, five years. And just because now he's 28, 29, you say, well, let me get the 21, 22 model. And half the time it don't even work out. No, exactly.

1:03:27Chad Johnson:That 22 model ain't going to give him no gripes and groans. Yeah, he ain't going to complain. like you know you're right yeah and that's what they want they don't want no pushback bro damn well they gotta i look i i don't know what they're gonna do cam ward is gonna have to be

1:03:47Shannon Sharpe:the solution because the last thing i want to do oh joe joe is go back in the draft and get another quarterback that's gonna sit me back because now i got i got to raise him you can't do that if you

1:03:56Chad Johnson:that mean you gave up on him. I don't want to. Well, if you do it, that's what that means. That's how he gonna take it. You gave up on him. You bringing somebody else in to replace me, to take my job. Now, that could work, that could benefit him.

1:04:13Shannon Sharpe:You know what I mean?

1:04:14Chad Johnson:You never know when.

1:04:15Shannon Sharpe:Cause look at everybody, for the most part, look at Sam Darnold when he left the Jets.

1:04:20Chad Johnson:Yeah.

1:04:20Shannon Sharpe:Look at Gino when he left the Jets.

1:04:22Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

1:04:28Shannon Sharpe:Never know. Sometimes organizations are just poorly run, and they don't know how to foster. They don't have the coaching staff to nurture a young quarterback because he's different. His mind, no matter what you think, they're different. Right. They have the biggest egos. They have the fragilist egos. They just do the best job of hiding it. Hey, people are like, man, Jalen Hurts don't show no emotion. What happened when they went and laid his ass out of that tent and Andy Dalton threw that damn pick? Hey, I ain't never seen him like that. Okay. Hey, now that's the real Jalen Hurts. Yes. That's the real Jalen Hurts.

1:05:15Chad Johnson:Yes. But as a competitor, you can understand. Yes. Think about it. If it was any one of us in that situation, we would have been the same damn way. Like, damn, first off, I don't even want to go in the damn tent, okay? Hey, listen, man, get me back out there on the field. And the little second I do go in there, you mean to tell me we're in the red zone and this man throw a pick? Oh, yeah, I'm fire real high.

1:05:35Shannon Sharpe:Well, I thought Sirianni because they had to run a play, so he missed a play called timeout.

1:05:44Damn.

1:05:45Shannon Sharpe:He was hot, bro. I thought coaches had all the answers. You know, they got all the analytics. What did analytics tell you? If your quarterback go out of the game, your backup comes in and run a play, what should you do next?

1:05:57Chad Johnson:Yeah. Ask Siri here.

1:06:00Shannon Sharpe:She'll tell you.

1:06:04Shannon Sharpe:Hey, Chad GPT taking over. Hey, Chad GPT, what should I do if my starting quarterback goes out and the backup comes in and run a play? Should I call a timeout? Yes. Most coaches in this situation would call a timeout.

1:06:19Chad Johnson:Hey, while you playing, Chad GPT, a show will break it down for you just like that.

1:06:54Hey, absolutely.

1:06:54Shannon Sharpe:Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
