In short
Week 1 NFL recap and debate on the New York Giants’ 28-20 upset of the Dallas Cowboys, plus reactions to the Ravens’ 41-23 rout of the Colts and early discussion of the Bears’ offense.
Guests (backgrounds)
Shannon Sharpe (host; former NFL tight end; “Nightcap” co-host). Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson (former Bengals WR; 6x Pro Bowler, multiple All-Pro; “Big Three” co-host). Joe (referred to as “ISO Joe Johnson,” a Cowboys fan/voice in the debate; former teammate/football figure not clearly identified in transcript).
Key claims
- Giants’ QB Jackson Dart was dominant (23/29, 230 yards, 3 TDs) and the offense controlled the game.
- Cowboys’ defense failed to stop the run and repeatedly blew coverage/assignments, especially on third downs (Giants 9/11).
- Momentum swung after a Dak interception before halftime; Cowboys never regained rhythm.
- Ravens looked “scary” offensively; Colts struggled after early momentum.
Notable examples
- Giants’ Isaiah Likely: 8 catches, 78 yards, 2 TDs.
- Giants ran the same counter/pass-to-RB concept multiple times and still converted (including a 3rd-and-15 first down).
- Ravens: Derrick Henry 144 rush yards, 3 TDs; Lamar 324 passing yards; Colts’ Daniel Jones 19/31, 166, 1 TD.

Take down the Dallas Cowboys 28-20. But if you watch the game, it really wasn't even that close, Ocho. It really wasn't that close. 7:00Shannon Sharpe:He's a six-time Pro Bowler and a multiple-time All-Pro. That is Chad Ochocinco Johnson, the third member of the Big Three. His team did not win tonight.
7:14Yep.
7:14Shannon Sharpe:He's from Little Rock, Arkansas. You know, that's close to Dallas, so they ain't really have no team. So he jumped on the Cowboys bandwagon, and he's been hurt ever since. But you know what? It serves it right. That is the seven-time NBA All-Star, All-NBA selection, Mr. Clutch. That is ISO Joe Johnson. Joe, how you feeling? I'm all right, Ocho. What's happening? What's up? Hey, Joe, all that popping off you were doing, boy, the last two weeks, boy, talking about your Cowboys this and the Cowboys that. He got that defense. He got Dak. He got CD. I ain't got CD. I got it. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on.
7:53Shannon Sharpe:Hold on, Che. Che, y 'all bear with us real quick. Hey, yo, you took Caleb down? What happened? What? Hold on. Hold on, Ocho. I got Dak. I got the Dallas defense. I got Scatterboo, and I got Likely. Okay, we Likely did just a point, but I don't think you – I don't know who you went against today. I sure hope you ain't go against me. Man, I don't know. Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. Cowboys. The Cowboys, the New York football Giants take down the Dallas Cowboys by the score of 28 to 20. Jackson Dart was sensational tonight. 23 of 29. Three touchdowns. 230 yards. Cam Scadabo, 18 carries, 81 yards, a touchdown, and a backflip. Jackson Dart, his legs were invaluable, 11 carries, 54 yards. They ran the ball 37 times for a buck 65. Isaiah Likely, man, he looked incredible tonight.
9:39Shannon Sharpe:Eight catches for 78 yards and two touchdowns. Malik Nabors, a game-time decision, six catches, 69 yards. They were all over the Cowboys. with the exception of the fumble, I thought they played really, really well tonight. They did a job. The defense did an outstanding job of keeping the Cowboys under control. But, Ocho, I'm going to turn over you and Joe and let you guys have at it. I've never seen a team give up so many damn flat first downs. That's either coaching, but it's hard for me to believe that they're blowing assignments. Singletary went down the field three times in a row, caught a first down.
10:16Shannon Sharpe:How many times did they leap the back out to the flat? First down. Three in a row. Ocho, what did you like about the Giants and how they were able to come out and play so well and take down the Cowboys tonight? Well, listen, for one, they're playing at home, right? And I had belief. Joe had me believing. He had been talking so much about the Cowboys. He had me believing. Obviously, I thought with the Cowboys having two of the most explosive receivers in the NFL, I thought they were just going to pick up where they left off last year. Obviously, that did not happen. Now, for them, the Cowboys, I'm going to give them grace.
10:49Because, you know, offensively, it takes you a week or two, maybe three, to get yourself going to find that. Not that offensive shit. Hey, that too. But I'm giving them a little grace because they are the Cowboys. Outside of that, the goddamn New York football giants played phenomenal football. It all starts with that foundational piece in Brother Jackson Dart. Jackson Dart was phenomenal tonight. He was phenomenal tonight. 23 for 29, three TDs. He threw for 230. Scattered both. Very exciting. He picked up right where he left off before. He broke his ankle. He looked good. Fields. Fields was the number two tonight.
11:28I didn't know anything about Fields. The 6-4 receiver.
11:30Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He was the number two tonight. I didn't see much of Odell. I think Odell had one catch for seven yards. And Malik Nabors was up in the air whether he would play tonight. He had a decent night. He almost caused the interception Where he didn't come back for the ball I thought it was kind of iffy Kind of hurt a little bit Outside of that man they look really good I'm not sure what the Cowboys were doing defensively With Singleton coming out of the backfield Every time the person That is supposed to pick up Singleton is always the back Singletary to me Singletary I'm sorry Singletary The backer must have had his eyes in the backfield And not paying attention to what his assignment Was at the time because they blew that coverage every single time Singletary Singletary.
12:15Wait, Singletary.
12:16Shannon Sharpe:Ocho. Singletary came out the back and they got the first down every time they won. They ran that same play with their halfback three times. Man, it was third and 15. They got a first down. They got a first down. Then they ran it two more times. Hell, he scored on the last one. But what about the handoff, Ocho, that they kept running to the flank side and getting that flank? Scatterbo picked up a first down on a run. And Jackson Dart picked up a first down on the run. It's like the outside is contained. It's like somebody is coaching. It's just hard for me to believe that these guys keep blowing these kind of assignments.
12:54Shannon Sharpe:Now, I do believe the Giants guy, Reese, blew an assignment when he let Javante Williams out of the backfield. But other than that, man, this was a poorly coached defense tonight by the Cowboys. This was awful. It was. It was a tough game. But look, in a lot of games, bro, especially this one tonight, there are pivotal moments, Arkan Ocho, that happens in the game. And right before the half, when Dak threw that damn interception, and they came down, they got points before the half. Then they get the ball back after, you know what I mean? And they score. So that momentum kind of carried over. And we got tired.
13:31Shannon Sharpe:It seemed like our defense just kept, you know, wearing down. They were just wearing us down. I thought Scatterboot done a hell of a job. That back who kept coming out the backfield, whatever they kept running for. I'm like, damn, man, when we going? You know what I mean? How you let that beat you three times in a row, though, Ocho? You know, I didn't get it. I didn't get it. I don't know if they was trying to double up on neighbors or what, but I just felt we shot ourselves in the foot because, look, that third and 15, when they ran it the first time and that halfback got the first down, that killed us because they could have been kicking.
14:03Shannon Sharpe:They should have been kicking it off to us. You know what I mean? Yeah. I just think it's too many pivotal moments that happen in the game, especially when Dak threw that pick. It's like everything went downhill from there. Because in the second half, the momentum that they had, we never regained ours. You know what I mean? Yeah. They did a great job. They just controlled the clock, Ocho. They had the ball almost 37 minutes to the Cowboys 23-20. When you can control the clock, you can dictate. So it's because you say the Cowboys, you're going to give them grace. Well, they couldn't get a rhythm because they couldn't get on the field.
14:32Shannon Sharpe:Right. Because they have the ball. Think about it. The Giants got the ball. go down the field and kept the ball for eight minutes. They get the ball out of the half, they keep the ball for eight minutes. I can't get no rhythm, Ocho. I'm looking, you know I need to get on the field. We chomping at the bit. Think about how long we done came out the locker room and I'm standing on the sideline, I'm chomping at the bit to get out there on the field. And it's tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick. First down, second, first down. Like, damn, it's so demoralizing. If you can't get a team off the field on third down, all you want to do is Ocho is get them to third down.
15:06Shannon Sharpe:I don't give them a touchdown on first or second down. I get the third. Get off the field. Here we go. You kept them on third down, but you couldn't get them off the field. Ocho, they were 9 of 11. The Cowboys were 8 of 11, but them referees, y 'all got to stop calling all this ticket tax stuff. CD fell down in the ears on Ocho. That wasn't no damn penalty now. Yeah. That wasn't no damn penalty. Ocho, we – now, if we could have got calls like that when we played Ocho. Yeah. Yeah. No, no. But listen, listen, listen. I know it's only week one, right? But again, Joe, it's still the same problems.
15:42It's still the same problem. The Cowboys problem last year, you know, Joe, you know, I ain't trying to talk trashy team because it's only – I'm not going to overreact, Joe. I'm not going to overreact because it's only week one. But the one problem that the Cowboys have always had is being able to stop the run. Now, Joe, you told me y 'all improved defensively, you know? You told me y 'all improved. But again, today's game shows that your Achilles heel is still the same thing that has always been your Achilles heel for the past, you know, few years. Inability to stop the run, especially in important times.
16:14Third and 15?
16:15Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, Ocho, Ocho, not to cut you off, guess who they got in two weeks? King Henry and Lamar. Oh, man. Come on, man. You got to cheer. Hey, hey, hey, hey. Hey, hey, hey. I'm scared. I'm scared, Joe. Hey, hey, hey. Week by week. Week by week. Now, game by game. Come on, y 'all getting ahead of y 'allself now. We still, come on now. No, no, no, no, no, no, Joe. Joe, we not getting ahead of ourselves. What you mean, what I'm saying is, hold on. Hey, stay with me, Joe. And think about this. As we, we not getting ahead of ourselves, but teams improve week to week as the weeks go on. Yeah, so we gonna get better.
16:47Shannon Sharpe:So you think the Ravens gonna get better? They ain't gonna play, they ain't gonna play too much damn better than what they played tonight. Now, come on, come on. Hey, how many times? Y 'all can play worse though. No, no, no, no, we can play. We can play a lot better. Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe, I've seen it. I've seen y 'all give up 300 yards rushing before, Joe. I've seen it. I've seen it. But you're talking about something old, huh? So you keep saying. Hold on. Hold on. Go ahead. I've been talking about old and it happened tonight. What was the rushing? Well, I know Scatterboot. They had 165 yards rushing.
17:19Shannon Sharpe:Well, that's including Jackson Dart. He ran the ball, right? He got legs. I'm saying. Yeah. Yeah. Hey. Hey. Hey, this is a scary thing though, Uncle Joe. This is scary, right? I like the Cowboy joke. You hear me? I like the Cowboy. I like him offensively. But listen, the verdict is still out on him defensively. And tonight is your first show on. And any indication on what the season is going to be like, this is the game you want to step up and show. Listen, we different now. We different now. You told me Caleb Downs was that boy. Ocho, Ocho. I know what he did in college. You know, he was, you know, coming out of college, he was that boy.
17:57But, hey, I can see it.
18:00Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, hey, we on the road. We gave ourselves a chance. We had a chance, man. We had a few opportunities. Okay, Ocho, we blew it. Our mistakes killed us, bro. We know that. Come on. You make it seem like they ain't have no mistake. Joe, Ocho, the Giants, 10 penalties, 114 yards. The Cowboys, 9 penalties for 90 yards. But we know the Cowboys commit those penalties. Hold on. This is another thing that why you need to play your players in the preseason. You see all these penalties they have in week one, week two, Ocho? You know, pre-snap penalties. And man, that number 76, he the Giants for Lele. Bruh, stay your ass on side.
18:35Shannon Sharpe:You know the snap count. He told you in the huddle. It's on one, or it's on two, and you jumping off sides. I'm like, well damn, how many times you gonna get a pre-snap penalty? Hey, but that's why I asked y 'all, man, it's rust versus rest when it comes to these players, especially coming into the season, because they hadn't played in, I don't know how many weeks. Two weeks. We talk about practice. Y 'all talking, man, there ain't nothing when that popcorn go to popping and we get out there. Look, how many catches, how many drops Pickens had tonight? Oh, he had a touchdown. He had a touchdown, Ocho.
19:07Shannon Sharpe:He had more than one, Ocho. That was a touchdown, Ocho. That one was a touchdown, but he missed. That on the rail, that deep ball? Yeah, that pole's been a touchdown. That's a house call, Ocho. Come on, man. Stop playing. He missed the one that was a third down right there when he caught it right there when he turned around. Come on, man. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We had some opportunities now. Y 'all did. Y 'all did. Isaiah Likely, eight targets, eight receptions, 78 yards, two touchdowns. He's the first Giants tight end with 75-plus yards, two-plus touchdowns in receiving on the game since 2009. Hey, I see why Harbaugh brought him with him.
19:40Shannon Sharpe:Hell, yeah. Yes. They had a whole little package. That was Jackson Dart's favorite target tonight. And he made the catches that he was making, that third down catch that he made, Ocho. and he got Richard Richard Patrick Richard you know you got to bring a couple of guys over with you Ocho and Joe because you want them to be able to tell the tempo in which we practice how we go about things he don't like you guys to be late for meeting he like for you guys to work out he like for you guys to be on time he like for us to do you know practice like to be at a certain speed you need a couple of guys that can relay your message Yeah, I agree.
20:21And to piggyback off of that too, Uncle Joe, you think about when a coach brings certain players with him to a new team, he also understands their strengths. He also understands he's going to be able to put them in certain situations schematically that he knows they're going to succeed. He knew what Rashard could do. He knew what likely to do. So what did he do? He implemented the same stuff they did well in Baltimore. He implemented an offense over there in New York, and you get a night like tonight, would likely look like we've never seen him before. He's had days like this, you know, moments like this, you know, with Baltimore, right?
Read the full transcript
20:53He's had moments, but obviously having to split some of that stuff with Mark Andrews, it took away some of the things that he can do.
21:00Shannon Sharpe:He's the focal point now, Ocho. He's going to have a big year. He's going to have a big year because he can run. He's smooth. Man, he's huge. He likes 6 '5". Hey. Yeah. He probably played basketball. Yeah, you see the way he moved? Yeah. He had to play basketball. Hey, likely and scatterboot. Go ahead, Ocho. Go ahead, Joe. Likely and scatterboot in that fourth quarter, man. They were huge. I'm talking about big play after big play. But I'm going to tell you something, man. I like Jackson Dart, Ocho. He showed me something tonight. He showed me something. I'm talking about he made some big time throws, used his legs.
21:34Shannon Sharpe:He got down some time. That one he ran up the rail, up the left side, and we put that left on him. He ain't turn that blink on fast enough. He ain't turn it on fast enough. Hey, hey, we got to touch him up now. Got to touch him up. I was like, man, 23 of 29. Yeah, he was dealing. 23 of 29. He was dealing. He was dealing. 9 of 11. 9 of 11 on third down, Ocho. You losing. You losing that game. Yeah. Every time. You losing that game. They got bailed out a couple times. Yeah, the Giants' DBs got a little handsy. But there are some calls there like, come on now. Come on now. Yeah, they doing a little too much.
22:15Yeah, yeah, yeah. This is still football, Uncle Joe. Said the ref got to hold them flags on some of them calls. Now it's still football at the end of the day. My goodness.
22:25Shannon Sharpe:Man, how many fumbles did they have? They had a couple of fumbles. They recovered on their own. Scataboo fumble was a scataboo fumble. Fumble ball, he got it back himself. Runyon. It part right back up to him. Jackson Dart, when he took that hit from Caleb Downs. Yeah. The guard caught it and tried to take off running. Oh, man, you see that? Right in his head. I'm like, damn. Normally bad things normally happen when that happens, Joe. Because, you know, they got all that, got them big old thick gloves on. They got their hands taped up. So bad things normally happen when a lineman touched the football, especially offensive lineman.
22:57Shannon Sharpe:Bad things normally happen. But he was able to secure the ball, kept the possession. But I thought the Giants played extremely well. That's what Harbaugh's going to bring. They believe. I think that's the biggest thing. And sometimes you just need to change your voice. Some other players need to hear your voice. I just think John Harbaugh's voice had fallen on deaf ears in Baltimore. And it was time for someone else to hear. I didn't think he was a bad coach. I just think he needed to coach somebody else. Just like any relationship. Sometimes, Ocho, you just want to hear somebody else tell you I love you, baby.
23:33Shannon Sharpe:Sometimes you want to hear somebody else tell you I love you, baby. That's all. That don't make you no bad guy. That don't make her no bad person. She just want to hear I love you from somebody else. Why do you say somebody else? Why not you? Yeah. She's tired of you saying it. Listen. It don't sound the same. Hey, you know, nothing sounds, don't nothing sound as good as a fresh I love you from somebody that ain't yours. Hey, you know what? Well, that's why I got two names. Hey, Joe, you get I love you from Chad, you get I love you from Roe, Roe. What's wrong with you, bro? Anything outside of that, that's uncivilized.
24:10Shannon Sharpe:Hey, you like, I love you, Cambodia. I love you, baby. I love your mama. You love you. Hey, listen, hey, I changed up my voice. Change, hey, I can talk deep. I love you. Or I can have my high-fit. Hey, baby, I love you. You know, hey. You do realize you still Ocho, she still heard it from you, right? I know, I know, I know, I know, I understand, I understand. man. Hey, that kind of hit a little bit right there. I don't like that now. What's that? The Giants ran the same play four times in a row. A pass to the running back in the blast, and the Cowboys still couldn't stop it. I've never seen it.
24:46Shannon Sharpe:And I'm like, hold on. This can't be this got to be coaching. This got to be coaching. Ain't no way. God's going to blow a coverage four times in a row, Ocho. Come on, man. But this is the thing too. You gotta understand it too. You gotta think about the salad dressing. The salad dressing. It's the same play with a different formation. Therefore, coaching comes into play to let them know on certain down the distance, watch this. They gonna keep running the same play until you stop it. The only thing that they gonna change up is the formation that they in. Yeah. What you talking about, Joe? What happened, Joe?
25:25Shannon Sharpe:I couldn't believe it. When I was watching it, okay, Ojo, when I'm watching, and I'm like, okay, after they got, after they burnt us once, I said, damn, because that was the first third and 15. I'm like, damn. All right, then he came and ran again. I said, all right, now. Who got him? And they ran it again. They got him. Come on, bro. Hey, listen. I was about to be, what? And that counter, I don't know how many times they ran that counter to the same side, that same left side. They saw something on when we watch film that week, Ocho, we see something. With their right side, our left side, we see something.
26:01Shannon Sharpe:Because if you think about it, a lot of the pass, that swing pass out of the backfield, that flat, was to the left side. The counter came back to the left side. There's something going on with the Cowboys' right side, our left side, that we felt we could take advantage of, and now the damage they take advantage of it. Check this out. Based on EPA drive, the Cowboys had the worst defensive performance by any team in week one. It was worse than all, but one of their defensive games last year Among the 575 four games since the start of last season, it ranked 571st. Seven possessions, four touchdowns, one punt, one pummel, a run out the clock.
26:44Shannon Sharpe:If Tracy doesn't form that ball, they're going down the field to score again. Again.
26:53Shannon Sharpe:Joe, how you feeling, Joe? Matter of fact, Joe. If they didn't jump off sides, he would have had it. I was like, oh man, Ron, if you stay in front of the sticks, it didn't matter though. Go ahead, Ochoa, what you wanna ask Joe? Hey, Joe, honestly, Joe, you shouldn't really say foot or ball the rest of the week. I hadn't seen it. I hadn't seen it. I hadn't seen it. I hadn't seen it. Yeah, I respect the game. I know you are on here feeling good tonight. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Don't give me that. Don't give me that. Don't give me that. Because, see, you try to play innocent. I know both of y 'all came on here feeling good.
27:25Shannon Sharpe:It's okay. It's okay. Have your fun. Have your fun, okay? Have your fun. Hold on, hold on, Joe. You were the one, you was popping it all. I was, I was big popping it. I'm still popping it. I'm still popping it. What's happening? No, you can't pop it. I'll tell you. You ain't, you ain't, hey, we the cowboy. We the boy. I still popping it on Joe. I still popping it on Joe. We good. Hey, Dr. Franky, you know I expect, hey, I expect to see you. Dr. Franky, you done got Joe all gassed up. Joe talking about, oh yeah, Dr. Frank, you know what time it is. Doc. Oh, man. Hold on, hey, Joe, hey, listen, hey, chat, chat, I know y 'all listening, right?
28:02This is the scary part. There's a good chance y 'all can start out the game. Come on, bro, chill.
28:07Shannon Sharpe:Hey, come on. You know who y 'all, wait a minute, Joe, look at the schedule. You know who y 'all play next? Who we got next? The Cam Handels, right?
28:20Shannon Sharpe:Oh, we got them at the crib. our next two games at home, bro, we good? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Y 'all play the Ravens in Brazil. Ooh. Hopefully the Ravens go over there the day before just like the Rams did. Yeah, y 'all stay all the way, go over there the day before. It's okay. Y 'all need to go over there about two weeks before and go to Christ the Redeemer. You know that big old Christ-like figure that he got to stand up in Brazil and pray to it. All day and night. The Derrick Herry don't rush for 300. Derrick Herry might break the rushing record on y 'all. Ain't no way. Hey, hey, hey, did you see, wait, we get to that game in a minute.
29:03Shannon Sharpe:Did you see Derrick Herry? You see him hop through the hole and take off on him, Ocho? That's the one you talking about, Eddie. You saw him hop through the hole? I said, come on, man. That's a 250 pound man. Hopped through the hole, put his foot in the dirt, and took off on him. Hey Joe, if y 'all couldn't stop Singletary and Scott, but what y 'all gonna do with Derrick? Didn't you say by game three, four, that the team started to get into a little rhythm? No, no, no, Joe, listen, listen. I said offensively. Our defense gonna catch up too. Defense is easier when you first start off the season.
29:40Shannon Sharpe:All you gotta do is read and react. Ocho, ooh, Ocho, look at this character. They got the Giants, Washington, Baltimore, Houston, Houston, Tampa, Green Bay, Philly. The first week, seven weeks. Man, we not scared of nothing in the team, man. Yo, it ain't about you being scared, Joe. You're not the one on the field. So I'm sure you're gonna be confident. There's a good chance. You think the Cowboys? Man, please. Hey, Joe, you gonna get every team's best because you the Cowboys, right? There's a good chance y 'all start on six. Man, you gotta chill, Ocho. We get us a win at the crib, get us a little momentum.
30:12Shannon Sharpe:Then we're going to, where are we going? the parents somewhere and whoop on baltimore brazil we're real we ain't tripping rio de jennaro but yeah this one hurt this one's day i ain't gonna lie to you this was staying tonight fellas y 'all yeah for sure i know it hello joe if i told you the giants was gonna beat you you ain't want to listen to me first off malik neighbor wasn't even supposed to be playing why why hey hold on what you mean he was supposed to be playing man ain't fully healthy man he needed about another week or two before he really before he really feel like you know hold on hey hey what was malik neighbors at night and he wasn't fully healthy and he did yeah yeah like six for 67.
30:54oh imagine if he was fully healthy joe hey hey we got some stuff we got to tune up it's okay fellas
31:00Shannon Sharpe:that ain't hey that car i don't know if that car gonna work you might need to get you a new car i see look look look look this is the thing yeah both of y 'all on here feeling real good tonight No, no, no, no. Nah, I don't wanna hear. I don't wanna hear. Look, look. Hey, hey, hey, I'm basing my feelings and my excitement based on what Joe said to me the past two weeks about what the Cowboy was gonna do. He said everything I said was in the past. So they played today, and it seemed like nothing is changed. Hey, Ocho, what'd he tell us? We picking up fantasy. Hey, let me grab that Cowboy defense.
31:34Shannon Sharpe:Let me go on and get that. Hey, hey, hold on. Hold on. We wasn't bad. That first half, we wasn't bad. Momentum changed. The momentum changed on us in that second half, and we got tired. Look how long was our defense out on the field. Hell, they offense had the ball. 37 minutes. Man, come on, man. And they took a knee. Just imagine that they just kept bludgeoning y 'all. Oh, chill. Hey, that's tough. That's tough. You know how you roll over something? Look out here. Scataboo like, what'd I run over back there? Scataboo look behind him like, boy, I ran over. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, listen, chat.
32:15Shannon Sharpe:I'm gonna keep it 100. That boy Scataboo putting his head down. That boy making some noise out there, boy. I ain't gonna lie. Hey, the Giants look good tonight. I ain't gonna lie. Hey, Ocho, and the reason why they had the punt, they grabbed on third and short, he grabbed Scataboo face mask and bust his nose, and the ref Fisher didn't call it. Man, he barely touched him. Come on, man. Don't bust a man's nose. Come on, man. This football. My head actually didn't hit him in. It's okay. So you ain't see the blood? We hit him on the button. It was a good look. You know what I mean? It's okay, though.
32:47Shannon Sharpe:If that was boxing, that would have been a great. That's a Ryan Garcia point. But in football, you can't do that. Hey. Damn, y 'all got the commanders next, Joe. Quiet confidence. 35:31Shannon Sharpe:They got the Commanders, Baltimore, Houston, Tampa, Green Bay, Philly. It don't look like Arizona, no punks either. No, not the way they played today. But Jacoby, you know what? Hey, Joe, there's a good chance y 'all start 0-6, man. Man, you got to chill. We on week one, man. You and I are starting off 0-4 and 0-6. Damn, can we talk about this week? We had a bad week, okay? Okay, okay, okay. How many of you had a bad week next week? Man, please. The Ravens defeated the Colts by the score of 41-23. Lamar Jackson and King hit. Boy, I'm kicking myself in the ass, not taking Lamar. Damn. Derek Henry had a legendary day.
36:14Shannon Sharpe:144 rush yards, three touchdowns. He's now third all-time. With 124 rushing touchdowns, he passed Marcus Allen, the most rushed touchdown in NFL history. He sits third on the list. He's 40 touchdowns behind Emmitt for number one. He's 21 touchdowns behind LaDainian Thomason for number two. He was – Oh, yeah. I don't know if he can get to 41, but I know damn well he can get to 146. And all the way he's playing though in three years he averages like he averages like 1416 touchdowns a season Joe Ocho So I don't put it. No, I don't put nothing past him because the back that a back his size with the kind of Collision that's on his body should not be doing what he's doing this late in his career Yeah, absolutely.
37:14And matter of fact, this is the funny thing about it y 'all not only is he not only is he doing what he's doing this late in his career he's on the right team he's on the right team in the right scheme with the right coaching to be able to pull it off for another three years yeah he's on the reason that he's in the right place in the right situation and i'm hoping the ravens allow him to continue to flourish in that system so he can reach some of those records but hey i got one more for you talking joe what did you see He loves eight flowers a day.
37:42Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, he tweaked his hammy. But before he tweaked it. That's why he didn't come out. That's why he had that five for a buck fifty in the first half. That's why he didn't come back. He had to come out. Hey, listen, what I told you about week one, not planning the preseason, and you come out week one, you go from zero to 100. I've been telling you that the whole time. Like, man, how do you do? How do you do going to get on the freeway, put that thing at 120 mile per hour? Hell, you ain't been through the neighborhood yet. Come on, man. The engine ain't warm, man. You gotta have the engine warm. Come on.
38:14Shannon Sharpe:It don't make no sense. Hey, then Jacoby Lane is out too. I think he broke his wrist. Yeah. Come on, man. But Baltimore. Listen, this is coming from a Bangle fan. Like, I like the way the Ravens look today. This is what we expected them. Offensively, they picking up where they left off last year. They picking up where they left off last year. Defensively, they was okay on defense. They was okay. And I'm sure at some point the Colts will pick up where they left off last year before Daniel Jones got hurt because they was rolling. Rolling last year too. Jonathan Taylor ran the ball. Lamar was 17 of 25, 324, took some snaps on the center.
38:55Shannon Sharpe:Now you can't get no key. I might hand it off. I might drop back and throw it on y 'all ass. Derrick Henry, 24 carries, a buck 44, three touchdowns. Lamar Jackson, seven for 40 and a touchdown. Justice Hill six for 18, 37 rush attempts, 202 yards. Lamar Jackson, another 324 yards passing, over 500 yards of total offense. That is the Ravens. That's what they should, that's Shaq, they Shaq and Kobe. Ooh. They Shaq and Kobe. You ain't lying. That's a good comparison. Great comparison. Hell, I would say myself, I would say Mike and, I would say Mike and Pippen. Hell, LeBron and D-Wade. But see, the thing is, you got that big bruiser.
39:38Shannon Sharpe:See, they have nobody that physical like Shaq. They're hearing Shaq. Man, I got you. And Lamar slicing them up, slicing them up. 23 first down for the Ravens. And they weren't that great on third down. No. But they look scary. But Lamar was dealing, dealing, dealing, dealing. Hey, the scary thing about Lamont Uncle Joe is when he came out, he scared everybody because of his legs. What he could do with his legs. And the fact that he plays the quarterback position where now he's a past first quarterback. I'm going to go through my reads. I'm going to go through my one, my two, my three. You know what?
40:20If it ain't there, I'm not even going to run yet. I'm going to tuck it. I'm going to scramble and escape the pocket and use my legs and see if anybody can open up for me before I decide to take off a run. And when you take off a run, you might well pray. You're so afraid. You might well pray. Because if you give him a crease, Uncle Joe, it's goodnight, Irene.
40:40Shannon Sharpe:And then they added Zay Flowers. It just opens up that explosive passing game, bro. I mean, if Lamar going to be efficient like he was today and making plays and Derrick Henry being Derrick Henry. But if you go back and look over the last three to four years, he's been efficient like this here. He's had games like this where he's basically been perfect. And he's had games like this. And now that you get, I don't know what, I still don't know what Tennessee was thinking by cutting Derrick Henry. I still don't know. I know even less why the Cowboys didn't call that man and offer that man something considering he got a place in Dallas.
41:18Shannon Sharpe:And I know Javante Williams as well. Javante Williams ain't that kid. Yeah, but hold on. It's a good thing. It's a good thing. It's a good thing they did. It's a good thing they did. it's a good thing he went to Baltimore. Why you say that? He got the man for one year deal for eight million, Ocho. Yeah, it's Jerry. You know how Jerry thinks, well hell, if Tennessee let him go, you think we gonna keep the ties and see what he can do with us? Just because he has a home here? No, absolutely not, I'm not doing that. I wanna do things my way. And that's exactly what he does. So sometimes Jerry misses out on good things.
41:52Shannon Sharpe:And y 'all know they don't value the running back like that no more. I don't care who it is back there. They don't value it like that.
42:01Shannon Sharpe:I think it's going to take him two years, Ocho. I don't see him getting 20 rush touchdowns this year, but I think in two years, he's going to need a good solid four years to pass, to catch Emmitt. They'll give it to him. Hey, as long as he doesn't get hurt, they'll give it to him. I don't see him slowing down anytime soon. Not the way he takes care of his body, not the way he trains in the offseason, not the way he stays healthy in season. And most of the time, he doesn't take unnecessary punishment unless he has to. And hell, don't nobody want to hit him anyway. I damn sure don't want to hit him now.
42:37Shannon Sharpe:He fresh.
42:40Shannon Sharpe:Let me catch him like week seven, week eight before he get to the cold. Because if we're going to get cold, I damn sure ain't trying to hit him either. No, sir. So I would let him like week seven, week eight, probably like third week of October. After that. But no, they look really impressive today. They look really impressive today. They control over 35 minutes time of possession. When you run the ball like that, when you got 200 something yards, you're going to have 30 plus minutes time of possession, 35. I'm surprised they didn't have a little bit more time of possession. But when you got Derrick Henry hitting his head on the goal post, you get Zay Flowers going, quick strikes like that, that's what happens.
43:25But when you grind it out, man, they look good.
43:29Shannon Sharpe:The Ravens look really, really good. And look, I don't want to get too excited. There are a couple of teams I got really excited about. We're going to talk about the Bears. The Bears' offense looks scary. Good Lord have mercy. Hey, but that's expected. That's expected. And I'm not talking about because it's the Bears. It's expected because when you have a talent, you know, I'm going to wait until we get to that game. I'm going to wait until we get to that game. What? Hey, but you know who didn't look good today and didn't impress me at all? The Cowboys. Oh, man. Come on, man. All right, damn. Come on, this is what we on?
44:00Shannon Sharpe:This is what we on tonight, huh? Ocho, Ocho, who said when we was in the hospitality suite, boy, hey, y 'all are gonna wanna come on there tomorrow night, I promise you. Joe. Well, damn, Joe, let us enjoy the fight. All right, go. I said, well, dang. Hey, um, but hey, hey, Hey, this cowboy gonna put a mean demonstration down for them guys tomorrow. Hey, it's tough, boy. Hey, hey, hey, hey, Joe. Hey, Joe, I got something, I got something. I'ma tell you, Pat. I got something to make you feel a little better.
44:39What the avocado said to the nacho, Joe?
44:41Shannon Sharpe:What did the avocado... It's gonna make you feel better about yourself. What did the avocado say to the nacho? What the avocado said to the nachos?
44:52I don't know what, we got beef? Nah, I keep that guap on me.
45:07Shannon Sharpe:See, see, man, I made you laugh. Now you forgot y 'all lost. No, he ain't gonna forget that. He gotta sleep with that. Look, look, you ain't gonna let me forget it. I'ma let you forget, I mean, hey, look here, man. We ain't talking about King here. We ain't gonna talk about them Cowboys. If your team didn't win today, you get no love. But Derrick Henry with 124 rushing touchdowns, 144, three touchdowns on 24 carries. Man. That boy was easy, wasn't it? Yes. But the play Ocho was talking about, I don't know if you guys saw it, Chad, where he hopped through the hole. That's a 250-pound man, a 6 '3", 250-pound man.
45:46Shannon Sharpe:Hop through the hole like a Bijan would do, like a Jameer Gibbs would do, like a Christian McCaffrey, guys that are 40, 50 pounds lighter than he is. Hop through the hole, put his foot in the dirt. See you. Wouldn't want to be. Yeah, man. Damn, Joe. It's cool, though, Joe. Y 'all going to be. Man, we talking about Derrick Henry, man. Oh, my bad. Damn. My bad, Joe. Yeah, they look scary, though. The Ravens look scary today. They look really. But, you know, I thought the Colts was going to come out a little better than what they looked. They didn't do too much. I mean, other than Jonathan Taylor running the football.
46:31Shannon Sharpe:And he can run the football. We know what he is. I mean, there's a reason why they pay him the money they didn't pay him. There's a reason why he's been an all-pro. There's been a multiple-time Pro Bowl player. Yes, he has that kind of ability. They defense. Alec Pierce, four for 61. Josh Downs, two for 37. Keenan Allen has six for 32. Jonathan Taylor, three for 23. Daniel Jones was 19 of 31, 166, one touchdown, one in a session. They had over five yards, average five yards of carry. Jonathan Taylor had 19 for 98, two touches. Running that thing. I might have to scoop him, but I kind of like my running back.
47:09Shannon Sharpe:You know I started Derrick Henry today, Ocho. You know that, right? You did. And Deandre Swift from the Bears. Hold on, who did I play today? I don't know, but your teammate probably ain't do too good. Did he redeem some justice? He put some points on the boy for you. Ooh, did he? Both of my guys had three rush touchdowns over 100 yards. Damn. And I had Kincaid. I started Kincaid too. Tied in for the Buffalo Bills. Okay. Okay. I think I put BTA to Stevie though. as long as he ain't have
47:49Shannon Sharpe:what's that up there? I can't see it oh man it's the difference between trying to talk to your friends over the music at a bar and having dinner where you can actually hear each other between getting food delivered and cooking something you know she's gonna love it's the difference between a rough nicotine pouch and on plus nicotine pouches with Nico Silk Mash No corners, no rough edges. 51:16Cause you know, they ain't finna beat the Chiefs. You know that. I don't know. I don't know. There you go. There you go. You know what? I ain't gonna say nothing.
51:25Shannon Sharpe:What if my team beat for the AFC Championship? He flocked up now. Look at him. Flock, flock. Look.
51:37Shannon Sharpe:Hey, we'll see tomorrow. Man, Ocho, you be... Oh, keep trying to beat Tippy Toe. Boy, Ocho, man, what you gonna put beating the brakes off you? Who? Ash, come on, who? Hey, you know what it was? Oh, man. You know what it was? Hey, I had Uno. Uno had a quiet day. Mike put BTA to what you call him. Hold on. Mike got Mike got who Mike got? Bijon or Jameer? He got Jameer Gibbs. Oh, and I had what you call him, Ocho? Who he had? I'm in Ross St. Brown. He went crazy today? He had two touchdowns.
52:28Damn.
52:30Shannon Sharpe:Oh. Oh, Derrick Henry gave me 35 points. D-Swift gave me 32 points. Armand Ross St. Brown gave me 28 points. Malik Neighbors gave me 13 points. Kincaid gave me 18 points. Michael Wilson gave me, oh man, Brandon Aubrey gave me two points. I might have to cut you. Hey, listen, don't let nobody go too soon. That's only week one. But I tell you what, other than his bye week, Derrick Henry ain't coming out to start a lineup. Yeah, I got it. Hey, you know who gonna go crazy for me next week? Uno. Yeah, he owe you. Hey, listen, hey, he had two for 12? Yeah. Man, listen, I know Burrow had to calm him down all day during the game.
53:19Shannon Sharpe:Stevie ain't do too bad though. Stevie, Stevie was a... Mike had 187. Ooh, wait, who had 187? Mike.
53:33Shannon Sharpe:Which Mike? I still got some. The producer Mike. Oh, I didn't get some points. I gotta have another player play. Ain't no way. I'm the lowest scoring guy on here now. Yes, you are. With that defense. And with Dak Prescott. Oh yeah. Who are your receivers, Joe? Nico Collins, Puka. well you already know puka ain't do too much i know no they done played already don't worry about it don't worry i'm i'm you know sometimes you let you let everybody else get get out on you first just walk them down like a track meet that's all he had trevor lawrence and he bid trevor lawrence to start that
54:25Shannon Sharpe:hey did you realize they was playing clean i did that's why that's why i ain't have fanny in my lineup and i had likely in my lineup but you should have you should have been stacking come on man trevor had a great day yeah come on come on joe joe hey joe hey you gotta start you stop thinking with your heart man start thinking with your mind joe plus you gotta think about i ain't give you no ticket i was gonna give you a tip i ain't gonna give you no tip because we I'll save it till after we play you. After me and you. Then I tell you what you're doing wrong. But until then, nah, hell nah. The Bears defeat the Panthers.
55:02Shannon Sharpe:59-37. Ocho, nobody played defense, but Caleb Williams was sensational. 21 of 29, 269, two touchdowns. He took off rushing today. He rushed for 65 yards and another two touchdowns. Both D coordinators, boy, y 'all got to do better than this. The Bears had 552 yards of offense. The Panthers had 478 yards of total offense. DeAndre Swift, 124 rush yards, three touchdowns. My other starting running back. Kyle Montague had 100 yards of the touchdown. Bryce Young was 23 of 37, 361, three touchdowns. Jalen Coker, Ash benched him. 38. Ash had Jalen Coker. She bitched it. Eight receptions, 138 yards and two touchdowns.
55:52138. Hey, let me tell you something. If there was any indecision or indecisiveness on who the quarterback of the future is for the Carolina Panthers, Bryce Young made a statement today, young. He made a statement today. I know they lost the game, but 23 for 37, three TDs. Obviously, he had an interception, but 361, man, he's the man. He's the man for your team. He's the franchise quarterback for the future. Even though they lost, he looked good today. Jalen Coker was doing his thing. No other receivers really stepped up to contribute to where they should. But that goddamn Kayla Williams and Ben Johnson.
56:36Shannon Sharpe:Ben Johnson says he wants to break the scoring record. Damn. That's going to be about 38 points a game. They off to a great start. Man, look, hey, because if you Carolina, Uncle Ocho, you put up 37 points, you feel like you got a great chance to win. You supposed to win. Yo, you put up 21, you supposed to win. Hey, my question is, hold on, is Chicago this great, though? They loaded offensively. Hold on, hold on. But 59, 60 points, Uncle Ocho, the Panthers defense can't be that damn good here. They gave them 60 points. No, no, no, no, no, no. They're not. But this was the highest scoring week run since 1970.
57:18Shannon Sharpe:So a lot of people scored a bunch of points. Look at Buffalo and Houston. Look at Tampa Bay and Cincinnati. Yeah. The Ravens scored 41. Yeah, this is the highest scoring. So you got to go back. You got to go back 50 plus, almost 60 years. They could have opened a weekend that was this high score. But this is what they wanted in the NFL. This is what they want. They want high scoring. They want this pace. This is why the rule changes have played a huge part in this. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, listen, you put, I don't know who the comparison using basketball term would be. Probably you could probably help me out this, but the creative mind, the creative genius in Ben Johnson, when it comes to calling plays and having the skill set of Caleb Williams over there who can do just about anything you want to do offensively.
58:14Boy, they're going to pick up right where they left off last year.
58:17Shannon Sharpe:This was a scorigami game, which means this was the 1 ,096th time that we've had a unique score. This is the first time in NFL history we've had a 59-37 ball game. Mm. Mm. Damn. That's high scoring, bro. Hell yeah. Hey, you got 96 points. You got 96 points between the two teams. Hell yeah, that's a high score game. Damn, Ocho, you ain't got no lights in there? That boy lighting in, that boy blend in, don't he? You can't see me? No. We can see that tank top and that chain you got on. You see me now? Yeah, but you blustery. Hey, you calling me dark? Nah, man, I mean, you can leave drinking some charcoal.
59:16Yeah, I'm in the garage smoking because I can't smoke in the house. Cambodia won't let you smoke in the house? Nah, I can't smoke in there, man. You know, I got all that white furniture, man. You know, I got, and the kids in there, they sleep. They got school in the morning.
59:34Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, you're lighting. Yeah. Hey, hey, hey, hey, Uncle Joe. I've been home. I landed at home. What time y 'all got home? I got home about like five. Man, I landed at two o 'clock. I've been home watching football all day. Man, my flight at five o 'clock in the morning. I got home last night, probably about 9.15.
1:00:05I gotta shoot the New York man for about three days.
1:00:11Shannon Sharpe:This is impressive. I mean, this is impressive. What the Bears did today, that was extremely impressive. I agree. Very. I mean, I don't know if you can play any cleaner than what they played. You know, 21 of 29, 269, two touchdowns, Two guys over 100 yards rushing. They rushed for 291. They were 10 or 14 on third down. Third down. Yeah, I was just going to say that. In the red zone. Look what they was in the red zone, though. Hey, Ocho, what you call it was five or seven? Who was that? In Carolina. In the red zone. In Panthers? Yes. No, both were 4-4 on red zone. Both were 4-4 on red zone. But the penalties killed Ocho.
1:00:57Shannon Sharpe:One team with 12 penalties, the other team had 11 penalties. Yeah. Imagine if you take those penalties away. You probably would have had another probably somewhere between 10 and 13 points combined between the two teams. Hey, but that's expected, though. All them penalties are expected week one, Uncle Ocho. Yeah. You know, these teams. But the thing is, Joe, this is what I say. This is why I believe you should play the last game. because if you don't play the last game, there's a two week, you got, you off for two weeks. You're not playing no meaningful football for two weeks. It used to be, we took Ocho, you know, we didn't play the last game, but we was playing the following week.
1:01:38Shannon Sharpe:They cut the last game out, they added it to the back end. Now you're going two weeks without playing. It reminds you, you hadn't played in the preseason yet. Hello, hello. I don't know how they do that. I don't know how to do it either, Ocho. Well, that's why we're gonna continue to have all these penalties, you know, like we have in week one because guys hadn't been playing. Okay, Ocho, that popcorn popping. Look, guys itching for itching to hit somebody, huh? And that's probably why you haven't missed assignments, Ocho, because there's some things you just can't coach on the chalkboard. You got to get your ass out there on the field and play it.
1:02:11Shannon Sharpe:You got to see it. Yep, you got to see it. You got to anticipate. And they're not listening to us, Ocho. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't be surprised in the next two to three years they cut another preseason game and add 18 and add another game to the regular season. Hey, whatever you know what it's coming down to. If it makes more money, it makes sense. It does. You already know it. The Bills defeat the Texans by the score of 36-31. This game was a shootout. Josh Allen already in MVP form, Joe. 20-29, 3-34, two touchdowns. Also had two Russian touchdowns. DJ Moore in his Bills debut. Five catches, 100 yards, a touchdown.
1:02:54Shannon Sharpe:CJ Stroud was 26 of 38, 274, two TDs, a costly fourth quarter turnover in the red zone. Ocho, he just got to take care of the football, man. Yeah. Hey, he had it too long when he was trying to step up in the pocket. He had both hands on it, but I don't remember who the defender was. They got a whole lot. He got it good. He got it good. but he was trying to make a clear. His eyes, eyes were sealed. He was doing everything. But hey, that was unfortunate. He lost that one. He lost two fumbles, Ocho. That's the thing. And you know, when you play in Buffalo, man, you can't give Josh Allen that many cracks at you, man.
1:03:36Shannon Sharpe:No, sir. No, sir. Absolutely not. Hey, you give him two, one of them two, he gonna score one. He gonna hurt you. We done saw the man. He done had the shootouts with my homeboys and they going back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. There was no doubt in my mind that they were gonna go down there and get a touchdown. With three minutes? Huh? With the three minutes left, you had no doubt in your mind? None. None. Because he's, he and Lamar Jackson are probably the most two difficult players to defense in the two minutes because of their legs. Yep. They can beat you with their arm, but they damn, they just scared to live in daylight, such with the leg.
1:04:12Shannon Sharpe:And he's a big man, 6 '6", 255. And once he get ahead of Steve, and he start getting the ball in one hand, he pump faking you, you're worried about whether he might throw this ball. And now all of a sudden you jump up in there and now he running down the sideline and who you're in the middle of your field. Stretching your defense. And even if you try to put a spy on Lamar, even if you try to put a spy, they still going to have an advantage anyway because there's nobody you have defensively that can actually stop them in open space or in open field. hey but but this was separates josh allen arcan ocho 96 yards three minutes ago everybody in the in the stadium know who gonna have the ball yep and you go down there and deliver on it look you on the road hey man that that's what elite quarterbacks do and it's you can have a manageable quarterback and you can have a quarterback who you can who can who can win games for you And Josh Allen did that today, bro.
1:05:13Shannon Sharpe:He did it. He did that.
1:05:18Shannon Sharpe:Don't Kincaid, five catches for 130 yards. My little tight end. That's my tight end, old children. You got Kincaid too?
1:05:28Hey, this is the thing. When it comes to Buffalo, Kincaid will have a day-to-day. Then he'll have a game where he don't do nothing, and James Cook go crazy.
1:05:39Shannon Sharpe:Well, it seemed like they were like tuned up to stop James Cook. I mean, he 13 or 57, but Josh Allen is the guy you got to worry about. Yep. Yep. He touched the ball every time. And with them legs, man. It's them legs. When he throwing the ball 20 or 29 for 334, two touches. He had it going. Hey, Ocho, where your mans was at today? the receiver for Buffalo. I ain't see him out there. Oh, Keon Coleman? I don't know, Joe. He caught one for one. I'm just trying to figure out on the two-part conversion why you going to him against Stingley. The height advantage, huh? You got Keon Coleman, 6 '4". Damn, they're 6 '5".
1:06:26Against Stingley. I know, I know. But, you know, Stingley kind of short, though. I guess Stingley. I'm with you when you're right. But, you know, the coaches ain't thinking about that. They just think about the height discrepancy.
1:06:41Shannon Sharpe:Okay. That's all. Hey, but Stingley good, boy, man to man, boy. That's his thing. Exactly. But Josh Allen, when he's playing like this, they're going to be awful difficult to beat. DJ Moore's like, whoo, I kind of like this. He's like, he liked where he was, because it's not like Caleb Williams going to get about 65, 70 million, Ojo. He keep playing like he playing right now. He is the guy that's going to reset the market. Yeah. I told you that if there was one there's no discussion they gonna give him the check they gonna give him the check blank Joe they gonna give him the check blank what you want and it's after this season right man please won't be nothing to talk about at all no they look good Joe they look good based on what they did last year so last year they were a year early we didn't expect We expected what they did last year.
1:07:37Shannon Sharpe:We expected that this year. So we got even our expectations this year based on what they did last year. They got a year up under their belt in this system. That quarterback in this system, and when that guy calling plays, it's like Mahone boy and Andy Reid. The first year they get to the AFC Championship game, they get knocked out by New England. we were expecting that the second year so there was no doubt in anybody's mind oh hold on my homeboy first year started he the MVP oh this is foreshadowing of things to come and what they do with the Super Bowl the next year they got a good chance as long as that defense they got to get better on defense now I shouldn't say they're going to run into better offenses than with Carolina.
1:08:33Shannon Sharpe:Carolina ain't no slouch. They can run the ball with Chuba Hubbard. They got the wide receivers or Coker or McMillan. Yeah. Yeah.
1:08:51Shannon Sharpe:They look good, man. Chicago play Buffalo this year. I'm trying to see a 50-50 ball game. You know they're going to have a shootout. I think the problem that I have, see, and this is why I didn't take the Texas defense. It's hard to back up defenses with another great year defense statistically. Right.
1:09:21I think they'll be able to, huh? But they still got all the same pieces. Ooh, they play in December, Joe.
1:09:31Shannon Sharpe:Damn, that's a long time. They ain't playing that. It's gonna be cold as I don't know what. No, what you call it? Buffalo got a dome though, don't they, Ash? Yeah, they got indoors.
1:09:44Shannon Sharpe:I think it is. I don't know. Yeah, it's Buffalo, but they - They can call it. It's a dome, it's a retractable. It's a new station, but it's not covered. It's retractable, isn't it, don't you? I'm not sure. I don't know if they did retractable. It is. Well, TJ, if I could give CJ any advice, bro, it's moments like this that you make the name for yourself. Yeah. It's moments like this. In games like this, that's when you got to have it. We can't – man, you played great. Yeah, you had 274, 26, 38, 274. The turnovers, bro. You can't turn the ball over against this team. You can't. They're too good.
1:10:27Okay.
1:10:30Shannon Sharpe:Just let it be cool. It can be cold, but just don't let no precipitation. Don't let it be raining anything crazy. Hey, man, this Buffalo first win in Houston since about 2006. Yeah. Come on, man. Yeah, all I heard was Ocho hollering about, raving about that defense that Houston got. Man, Josh Allen called them boys up today. That is Josh Allen. He's going to do that to a lot of defenses. Matter of fact, they're a damn near every defense. Hey, Ojo, don't be – hey, guess what? We'll be talking about him next week. He's going to carve somebody else up too. No, but he was – DJ Moore was great. The receivers were doing what they – hey, that dart that he hit, Joshua Palmer with that 34-yarder to split it.
1:11:22Shannon Sharpe:Oh. Oh. Nah, he had a nice little rhythm going. He did. He had a nice rhythm. So, Bills win 36-31 over the Houston Texans. Josh Allen is in MVP form early this year. 20 of 29, 334 yards, two passing touchdowns, another six carries for 23 yards, and two more rushing touchdowns. as they go on the road and win in Houston by the score of 36 to 31.
