In short
NBA offseason trade/rumor talk on Nightcap—Charlotte Hornets trading Miles Bridges to the Phoenix Suns, plus discussion of a possible Warriors trade package to reunite LeBron James and Anthony Davis in the Bay Area.
Guests (hosts)
Shannon Sharpe (host of Nightcap). Chad Ochocinco Johnson (Chad Johnson; former NFL player; co-host). Joe Johnson (former NBA player; co-host; 7-time NBA All-Star, Atlanta Hawks).
Key claims
- Hornets move Bridges because they can’t afford future max-level contracts (LaMelo projected $250–300M; Miller/Knipple north of $350–400M) and need assets to build around Miller/Knipple.
- Suns pairing Booker with Bridges adds scoring/defense; Warriors/AD/LeBron reunion would be “cooling the game,” but health/age concerns remain.
- Warriors would need major draft capital and include Jimmy Butler (expiring ~$57M, recovering from torn ACL) in any AD deal; LeBron’s potential move is tied to free agency opening June 30.
Notable examples
Hornets projected lineup: Kobe White, Nick Smith Jr., Brandon Miller, Nick Richards, Tidjane Diabate; bench help includes Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale.

8:33Shannon Sharpe:The Charlotte Hornets have traded Mikael Bridges a 2029 first round pick. Miles Bridges. Miles, excuse me. Mikael. Ash. Miles Bridges. a 2029 first round pick, a 2027 second round pick to the Phoenix Suns for Grayson Allen, Royce O 'Neal, and a 2033 first round pick. 20, damn. 2033? Damn. We sure the world gonna be around in 2033? Yeah, yeah. Hopefully we gonna be here. Yeah. Damn. Bridge signed through one more season at about$22.8 million. And he's set to be an unrestricted free agent ahead. and he'll be only the age of 29 years of age in 2027. Joe, considering this was the first time in a very, very long time the Hornets had been successful.
9:25Shannon Sharpe:They had a very, very young team, young budgeting stars. You look at Mellow, you look at Knipple, you look at Miller. You know they traded and got Kobe White. They were starting, and it's seeming like they blew it all up. Are you surprised at the steps that the Hornets are taking considering this was the first time in a very long time, they've enjoyed some level of success.
9:46Chad Johnson:No, no, I'm not surprised at all, fellas. You got to look at it from this point. They haven't had any value over there in Charlotte for quite some time.
9:55Shannon Sharpe:Okay.
9:56Chad Johnson:Now that they finally created some value, okay, boom, now we got some assets that we can kind of use to kind of go out and get more assets because, look, these guys are coming up for contracts. We ain't finna pay LaMelo 250, 300 M's. So he got the highest value. Real talk, he got the highest value that he's ever had. Let's try to get off of him, get some great competent pieces back to where we can just build around Miller and Knipple. And I think that's kind of what it's been. Now you look at Miles Bridges, who's coming up. He's probably, he's going to be looking for a new contract here soon.
10:30Shannon Sharpe:He's going to be on 35, 40 per year, over four or five years. Yeah.
10:34Chad Johnson:So listen, great elite talent, physical scoring forward, bro, who thrives in transition. You can give him the ball at times, and he can ISO you and go get a bucket. He's a high-energy, lob threat guy. Remember what I was telling y 'all yesterday, man, that the teams are starting to go with a lot of these tweener guys because Miles Bridges ain't about 6 '6", 6 '7". You know what I'm saying? But he got a long, about 6 '11", wingspan. And so he's able to play the four and three. So he's a tweener guy who you put around, I would say, a big, whoever you're going to have. But you have all these guys who can score the basketball and defend at a high level.
11:13Chad Johnson:I think that's kind of where the game is going. But considering that Charlotte wasn't going to pay Miles Bridges, Uncle Ocho, why not? He got some value, too. Hey, Uncle, I got a question, too. Yes. Obviously, Joe, you just stated, obviously, the Charlotte Hornets haven't had much success. You know, the people in Charlotte haven't had much to cheer about. But you have a player in Miles Bridges. You have someone that's exciting, that's polarizing, very unpredictably when he's on the court like LaMelo. And you let him go and you say, Joe, you know, financial reasons, you don't want to pay him what they're going to earn and what they're projected to make.
11:48You want to get off of him because of the money. And then you bring in other players that are not as polarizing, you know, that aren't as good. So what message are you sending not only to the team, but to your fans also?
11:59Chad Johnson:It ain't that you're not trying to win. Look, you wouldn't got Nas Reed. I mean, if you get Nas Reed and you got Miles Bridges, that's why I'm saying I can see why they're getting rid of Bridges. You know, because Nas Reed, hell, he making about$25 million a year. Okay, Ojo. Five years, 125. Yeah, yeah. So what they're going to do is they're going to go with this young quarter they have, and they believe in Kobe White, who came over from Chicago, who was great in those games, in those playing games. And I think they're going to try to ride this wave with these guys for a couple years and see what happens.
12:35Chad Johnson:What wave is that? I agree with you, Joe, because when you look at it, OK, we got Knipple and we got Miller that's going to be up for contracts.
12:43Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Those contract between the two is going to be north of 350, maybe even close to 400 million. Yeah. Now we got LaMelo. We're not going to play LaMelo 250, 300 million dollars. We're just not. Yeah. We're not fooling. And plus, the market, we can't support that in this market. Right. So it's not like they're in New York. It's not like they're in L.A. and they have this abundance, these big sponsors and corporate dollars that's just pouring in. It's just not there. It has to make sense. And people are like, well, they're trying to win, but I'm trying to win on a budget.
13:16Chad Johnson:Yeah.
13:17Shannon Sharpe:Ocho say, I want to look nice. But if I can look nice at$100 as opposed to spending$1 ,000, guess how I'm going to look nice?
13:24Chad Johnson:Yeah.
13:25Shannon Sharpe:Spending$100 as opposed. So they're saying if we can win and be six, hey, we're in the play-in. Yeah. If we're going to be in the play-in, we're going to be in the play-in spending 200, you know, maybe a year,$200 million a year. I bet now if we're going to be spending, have guys on$300 million,$250,$225,$185,$125, that's not going to happen. Yeah. So I'm kind of not surprised that the witness, especially when they got Kobe White. and it's like he's kind of more typical of the point guard that we kind of want. Yeah. Because he can distribute the ball. Not to say Melo can't, but Melo likes to shoot the ball too.
14:04Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. And now when you got Brandon Miller and you got Con Caniple, we want somebody that's going to distribute the ball to them. It's going to be, look.
14:13Chad Johnson:Well, the thing is, you know, if we just keeping it real, Melo ain't deferring to Miller nor Con Caniple. No, he's not going to do that. Hey, hey, I got this thing going, Ocho. Look, y 'all ass got to catch up, okay? You got to catch up. Hey, I'll find you when I find you. You know what I'm talking about? He's been there the longest. You know, hey, man, he's admired by the youth. This is what it is. The dude is a superstar. You know what I mean? He ain't finna slow down and try to, oh, let me make sure he get this. Yeah, he'll make sure they get one here, you know, two there. But for the most part, man, I got this thing rolling.
14:45Chad Johnson:Y 'all boys better catch up.
14:47Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. You're exactly right. And that's, I mean, in order to, and he wants to flourish. I think he's made the All-Star. Did he make the All-Star team? Hadn't he made the All-Star team?
14:55Chad Johnson:I think he has. I think he has made one at least.
14:59Shannon Sharpe:Joe, you know you get a taste of the All-Star. But you around here like, hold on. Man, they go Braun. They go Steph. KB.
15:06Chad Johnson:They do something to you. Yes, sir.
15:08Shannon Sharpe:Oh, hold on. They go Bronson. Ant-Man. I'm in here too. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I can't go back. Oh, no. Hell no. Oh, no. But I think for me, watching them over the last little bit, I think they saw enough in Kobe White that it made this decision a lot easier than it would have been had they not had Kobe White. Oh, yeah.
Read the full transcript
15:31Chad Johnson:I agree.
15:31Shannon Sharpe:They watched the way he played, and he's more of the typical kind of point guard because they want to kind of put their team towards Miller and Knipple.
15:39Chad Johnson:Yeah.
15:40Shannon Sharpe:That's kind of why they want to go.
15:41Chad Johnson:Yeah.
15:42Shannon Sharpe:And I don't think – and Kobe White – Kobe White, what did he say, a three-year,$74,$72,$74 million. We can stomach that. Melo next contract, Melo was going to be on the verge of a contract. If he makes an all-star game or he's an all-NBA player, that contract was going to be over$200 million.
16:00Chad Johnson:Oh, easy, easy, easy, easy, easy.
16:03Shannon Sharpe:Brandon Miller's contract, Brandon Miller's going to be doing a contract. If he makes an all-star team, he's an all-NBA. You see what his contract's going to be.
16:11Chad Johnson:Yeah.
16:12Shannon Sharpe:And so I think, you know, and it doesn't look good to the fans of Charlotte because they're looking at it like, man, we just started to be good. We finally was able to draft players and not all these bust talents that we draft year after year after year and never materialized to anything. We finally drafted players. We drafted Mello. We drafted Miller. We drafted Knipple. And those guys are starting to play. And as soon as they start to play, well, damn, we get off of one of them.
16:41Chad Johnson:Hey, but it's not backtracking, Ocho. What you got to look at, you got to look at the additions that you've made to your team. Hell, you feel like those additions, let alone, they should be able to keep you where you're at. If you're in the play-in, I mean, hell, ain't like we was a playoff team for real. You know what I mean? Yeah. So I don't think they could go no lower than where they were already at. Right. You know what I mean?
17:03Shannon Sharpe:I think I said, I don't know if mistook me, but I said Mello. I think Mello has made an all-star team. I know Miles Bridges hadn't made an all-star team, but I think Mello has. Can we check that ass right quick?
17:18Chad Johnson:Miles Bridges having, but Uncle Ocho, I'm telling you, I think he averaged about 17, 18 a game this year. Hey, Miles Bridges is going to help the Phoenix Suns, bro. The Phoenix Suns got to figure something out if they're going to continue to play Devin Booker heavy at the point guard. But they're going to have a plethora of guys who can score the ball, defend. And, you know, they looking decent.
17:40Shannon Sharpe:But Joe, yeah, Mello made the all-star, one all-star in 2021. Mello, Joe, but that's not what Book is. You're paying – just because somebody can do something, that doesn't mean that you should. I agree. That is hindering him. They need to get a point guard and put Book at his natural position, which is a point guard. I mean, excuse me, a two guard. It's the same problem that they had in Houston. Armand Thompson is not a damn point. I don't care how much you try to make him that, put the ball in the hand, okay, son, we're going to show you that we trust you. Okay, and you trust him, but that's not what he is.
18:23Shannon Sharpe:You're playing Booker, and Booker's got to get everybody else involved and, by the same token, trying to keep himself involved. It's too much. It's too much. guys, they overthink this. And they think, oh, he's a great basketball player. There have been very few guys that could, like, you know what, this is the position that he played, but he's also equally as talented in that position. There have only been a handful of guys in the history of the game that's ever, ever been able to do that. Yeah. Hey, Uncle Joe.
18:55Chad Johnson:What's there? Y 'all confuse me a little bit now. Now the traditional port guard is going away. We don't have that no more in today's game. And most of the time, some of the point guards in today's game, you got to be able to score. Why is it uncomfortable for Book to, why would you want Book to go to the two when he can run the point and score as well? That's his natural position, Ocho. That's his natural position. He's a natural two. He's a natural scorer. He's a natural shooter. And can he go get it on his own? Yes. But if he had a point guard who could get him some easy buckets here and there, I like when he had Chris Paul.
19:26Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah.
19:27Shannon Sharpe:Go look at his numbers when he had Chris Paul. Yeah. because it's too much on his plate. He's got to think about a lot of other things. Right. Steph Curry. But if you look at a lot of their offenses, Draymond initiates a lot of the Golden State's offense. He always has.
19:43Chad Johnson:Yeah.
19:44Shannon Sharpe:Some of these guys in James Harden, but you got to realize from the very jump, when James Harden got to Houston, they put the ball in his hands.
19:54Chad Johnson:Hey. But what we do got to remember now, scoring is a premium in the NBA nowadays. and to put Book in that position, back in that position, in that two-guard spot to where he don't have to work as hard throughout the first three quarters, Uncle Ocho. But in the fourth quarter, I ain't going to lie to you. I want him with the ball in his hands. He's got to be able to pace himself in that way to where he don't burn out.
20:18Shannon Sharpe:I'm going to wear his ass down. I'm going to tell my guy, pick his ass up. He got the ball in his hand, pick his ass up.
20:23Chad Johnson:Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I'm saying the first three quarters play within the offense. In that fourth quarter, when it's money time, hey, hey, we coming to our money tonight. Hey, y 'all get y 'all ass out the way. You know what time it is. Get that man the ball. You know what I mean? And when you got guys like that around you, bro, and you know that and that's going to go hard for you, hey, man, I think it makes the game a lot easier. So I do think that the Phoenix Suns need a point guard. They got so much talent over there on that perimeter that I think one of them guys is going to have to go.
20:56Shannon Sharpe:Who on the pro you talking about?
20:58Chad Johnson:I'm saying you got Green, you got Brooks, you got... Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
21:02Shannon Sharpe:Oh, yeah, yeah. But they already don't play no damn defense. You let Dylan Brooks go, he's the only guy that's playing defense.
21:08Chad Johnson:Hey, hold on. They gave up Grayson Allen and my boy Rose O 'Neal. They both went to Charlotte.
21:12Shannon Sharpe:No, that's your defense. Yeah, yeah. Charlotte's going to be defense. So now you got Dylan Brooks. You already know Jalen Green ain't playing no defense. Who we kidding? 24:31Shannon Sharpe:Summer hits different at Topgolf. Play great defense in the Olympic team. He said, but I'll be willing to do that. I ain't willing to do that with Phoenix.
24:40Chad Johnson:But you know, the problem is, though, The problem is that the Phoenix was so hurt last season that, you know, Green didn't play a lot. So Dylan Brooks, he was able to kind of get into his bag. Then I think Booker missed a lot of time as well. You know what I mean? So they wasn't full strength. So we don't know what they'll look like, you know, full strength as a team. Obviously, somebody will probably have to sacrifice a little bit. But I like the direction they're going. I just think they're going to have to make some decisions, bro.
25:10Shannon Sharpe:Hold on. Dylan Brooks says, I finally showed y 'all that now all of a sudden I'm not the fourth option. What I can do. I just showed y 'all. Now you want me to sacrifice?
25:19Chad Johnson:Uh-oh. Here we go. Hold on.
25:21Shannon Sharpe:Y 'all done forgot about me. All these two started to do all this stuff. Y 'all done forgot about me. Here we go. Now you want me to sacrifice? Here we go. Oh, okay. Because remember, at the end of the day, Joe, I need y 'all to be talking. Because when these rankings come out. Yeah. And when everybody talk about these execs, who you want to start a team with? Ain't nobody mentioning me. When they mention the top 25, I see I'm in the 20s. Oh, hell no.
25:46Chad Johnson:Oh, son, son, don't worry about that. We building something over here. Listen, we trying to win a title. We trying to win. Listen, it's been a different champion. It's been a different champion every year for the past eight years. Damn it, we looking to be the next one.
26:00Shannon Sharpe:You know what, Joe? I'm glad you're building it, but I better be the head carpenter. I got all the hammers and the nails. Hey, hey, hey.
26:10Chad Johnson:I want everybody else to be subcontracted. I tell you what. I tell you. I tell you. You go out there and do your job, and I'm going to do my job. Okay? Yeah. You do your job, and then I'm going to take care of everything else. Don't you worry about it. You know what my job is, Joe? What's your job? Score. Give me about 20 shots a night and score. I know. I need you to play both ends. See, that's the problem.
26:27Shannon Sharpe:I ain't going to be able to do that, Joe. That'll take too much out of me. It's exhausting. It's exhausting.
26:31Chad Johnson:No, we need you as that emotional leader. We need you. We don't need you just coming out here jacking up 25 shots a night. but they won't need that.
26:38Shannon Sharpe:We need you to be able to change the game, bro. Joe, you just said points are at a premium. Tell me the guys that are getting paid. What do they do? They scoring their ball. You see right now, hey, Jalen Durant, hey, he feeling some type of way, Joe. He's like, hold on, they got an offer on the table. He's saying, I'm thinking about a sign and trade. They say, we ain't say nothing about that. We say. because guys see guys that are making the big bucks, putting the ball in the basket at a very, very high level. It's all, Ocho, it's the same way in football. Who can, what receivers are getting paid?
27:19Shannon Sharpe:What do they do, Ocho? Do they catch the football or do they block? Catch that ball.
27:25Chad Johnson:Exactly. Listen, man, everybody got a job to do. If we playing against a guy who averaging 28, damn it, don't let him get 28 tonight. Can you do that for me? Can you do that for me?
27:37Shannon Sharpe:Hey, if you think about it, Joe, hell damn, everybody you play average is that. So you got me playing defense every night and shorting my offense.
27:46Chad Johnson:That's what I'm saying. Hey, hey, hey, the guys that you guarding, they putting up buckets, man. You got to make a tough on these guys nowadays, bro. And listen, the way this offseason is going, it look like it's going to be a four out and one in, and all folk can get to that money. That's what it's looking like. That's what teams trying to build.
28:09Shannon Sharpe:I think it's, if you look at it, if you look at like the Knicks and the Thunder, the last two, I don't know, Joe, teams ain't, because normally it's a copycat league. I don't see nobody copying that.
28:25Chad Johnson:You don't see nobody copying what?
28:26Shannon Sharpe:The Knicks and the Thunder. Nope, they not. You know what they're doing? They selling the franchise. Hold on. They selling the fans' dreams. Are you really trying to win or are you trying to make money?
28:38Chad Johnson:Well, hold on. If you look at the landscape of the NBA, Joe, if you like being honest with yourself, putting fandom aside, look at the West and look at the East. How many teams on the West can truly contend for a championship? How many teams from the East can truly contend for a championship based on the way their teams are built? It's only so many, Joe. every other franchise you look what Charlotte did you know what we trying to take shortcuts that's what we trying to do man let's we get ready two stars we gonna get some guys you know hard working guys that don't cost much but we gonna act like we trying to win listen we letting the better players walk listen because we don't want to pay them it ain't y 'all already know you can count on one hand it ain't but a few big men that we really got in this league that can play the center position and they can shoot the three.
29:31Chad Johnson:It ain't, but here, about three guys, four guys. That's it. And San Antonio got one, and the Knicks got one.
29:38Shannon Sharpe:OKC got one. Joker, that's not, but he don't live there in B. But it's really like four guys, Joe, like you said, 6 '11", 7 '0", a little taller, that can shoot the three. Yeah. Other than that. No, it ain't. It ain't, bro. I ain't counting. I don't be really. You know, Triple J has tried to add that to his resume, but I don't really care that he shoots that shot.
29:58Chad Johnson:Yeah.
29:59Shannon Sharpe:But he was a guy that got paid, Joe. Yeah. He was an all-star, and he was an all-NBA selection and a defensive player of the year. So when you look at it, they had to pay him. But I'm looking at that, and I'm like, uh, nah.
30:14Chad Johnson:Well, they ain't. Hey, look. Utah ain't even gave it a chance yet. We don't even know what it looked like because, hell, they done set him on the bench as soon as he got over there. So they could get the number two pick.
30:23Shannon Sharpe:So they could get number two. Yeah, absolutely.
30:25Chad Johnson:Yeah.
30:26Shannon Sharpe:Miles Turner. You know, Miles Turner, you know, shoot the three, play defense. Little offensive guy. He give you 15 and eight. Yeah. You can live with 15 and eight. Yeah, yeah. Sometimes I think he falls in love too much with the three. But what player doesn't, Joe, when a couple of them go in early? Who doesn't fall in love with it? We saw that with Wimby.
30:49Chad Johnson:Yeah.
30:49Shannon Sharpe:Wimby had some success. And we're like, Wimby, will you please get your ass down there? Man, you nine foot two. Get your ass down there, man, and stop hanging out around the three-point line. We know you can make them. Yes. But damn. Y 'all remember, he 9 '2", but he weigh 180 pounds.
31:10Chad Johnson:Hey, less resistance. And them bigs don't know how to guard perimeter guys. So when he out there winding up, he know they feet slow. You know what I mean? He know they feet slow, and that's what he trying to take advantage of. But I think Wemby's going to get better. We all know that. We don't have to worry about that part.
31:30Shannon Sharpe:22? I hate to see him. If he keeps progressing, the only thing that can slow Wemby down is injuries.
31:36Chad Johnson:Yeah.
31:37Shannon Sharpe:Is he can stay healthy. When he's 25, Joe, they got hell on the hands.
31:43Chad Johnson:Yes.
31:44Shannon Sharpe:They got hell on the hands now. He's only going to get better as long as he gets to train in the offseason and not have to rehab. There's a difference between training and rehabbing. Rehabbing, you're trying to get back to that point. And training, you're trying to exceed what your baseline is. Rehab, they're just trying to get you back to the baseline. Facts. As long as he doesn't have to do to have any more setbacks and he can just train, boy, they got hell on their hands. Yeah.
32:12Chad Johnson:Yeah, and those guys continue to mature around him as well, Uncle Nocho. You know, obviously, we know Wimby going to be a beast, but, you know, you got to hope that those guys around him, the Harpers, the Castles, the Vassells, those guys reached their potential because they already know the pecking order, man. You hear it in their interviews. They always talk about how he's the best player in the world. And he's been given something that he didn't ask for, which was height. Hell, you can't teach that.
32:38Shannon Sharpe:Well, you better be glad he got it because at that weight, if he wasn't that tall, he'd be a tall-ass something if he's not an NBA player. The Hornets projecting the starting lineup. You got Kobe White at the point. You got Knipple at the two, Miller at the three, Reed at the four, and Diabate at the five.
32:57Chad Johnson:That's a nice five. Look, they're going to win some games in the East. Yeah. And when I say win some games, they could potentially be in the low seating, meaning like the six, seven, six, somewhere between six and nine. I can see that happening.
33:11Shannon Sharpe:I can see that happening. They're going to be able to get up and down now. Yeah. They got a bunch of shooters. Kobe White can shoot it. Knipple can shoot it. Reed can shoot it. Miller can shoot it. The only guy really can shoot it, Diabate. but they got four guys that, hey, Grayson Allen can shoot the ball. We saw Royce O 'Neal can get hot in the three.
33:27Chad Johnson:Yeah. Good, good. And that's what it is, bro. It's having, you know, you can have a decent starting five, but them guys you got coming off the bench, bro, if they too damn young, you know, they don't really understand the moment, so it's kind of hard to depend on them. It's only a few who really understand it. But to have good venture help coming off that bench. Yeah. And the Hornets got that with Grayson Allen, Royce O 'Neal. Who else they got over there? I know they got somebody else over there, but I like them two just to start, man. I like what the Hornets doing over there. I ain't mad at them for getting rid of their key guys.
34:02Shannon Sharpe:Joe, let me know what you think about this. According to Kevin O 'Connor, the Golden State Warriors want to reunite LeBron James and Anthony Davis in the Bay Area. A trade for Davis would include Jimmy Butler, who's on an expiring$57 million contract while recovering from a torn ACL. The Warriors would also have to include draft capital. They have two future firsts and four first-round pick swaps to work with any deal. Sources say the Warriors hope adding Davis would help lure LeBron from Los Angeles to the Bay once free agency officially opens on June 30th. The pitch would be simple, reunite AD, team him up with Steph and Draymond, and play for Kerr and chase one more championship with a roster of legends.
34:46Shannon Sharpe:No. Joe, do you like this?
34:49Chad Johnson:Hey, look, look, look, look. Don't threaten me with no good time now. I like a good time. Hey, let me tell you something. Man, if you can get AD and Bruin over there, I'm sorry, Jimmy. We're going to have to holler at you, bro. Hey, hey, hey. I know they'll be a little older, but I would love to see that. I would love to see that. In the Western Conference, Bruin, Steph, AD, Draymond. Man, them folk be over there clowning. Man, it's cute, but no.
35:16Shannon Sharpe:Can you imagine the space that Steph would have to work with? Yes. With AD down low, with LeBron running the point? Because you saw how Bron was finding him. Bron has never played with a shooter. He's played with some guys that can shoot the ball, but nothing like this. There's nobody. Every time somebody plays with Steph, I've never played. We know. We know.
35:40Chad Johnson:Hey. Bron and Draymond would probably have the ball handling duties. Okay, Ocho. But, man, that'll be something to see because these are all guys who've already won. They've already proven anything you can think of. And for all of them to come together, man, in the Western Conference, it's the West thick, boy. If that's to happen, I ain't going to lie, Uncle. I want to see that. Yeah. I want to see it. What you going to do, man? You going to have to be a Warriors fan now?
36:09Shannon Sharpe:Oh, God. Dang. It look good. I guess me and Fawtywater have to be sitting next to each other. Tell me where to go. Tell me where to go. Jesus Christ had dreads, so shake him. I ain't got none, but I'm planning on growing some. Hey. Come on for Hebrews. It sound good. It look good on paper, though. No. What you mean not? No, I mean, it look good. It sound good. Listen, obviously, you know who LeBron is. You know what he does. Every team he goes to, he makes them exceptionally better, even at his age. Pairing up with Steph is cool. AD, he probably going to give you 15 games, so you really can't count on him.
36:45Damn. I'm not being disrespectful, man. I'm just...
36:49Shannon Sharpe:Old Dennis down ass. I'm just being honest. I'm just being honest, man. I'm just being honest. Womp, womp, womp. I don't know. Man. I'm just being honest, man. Man, y 'all see how Joe and I were excited and here this man go. He's tired of talking. He just ruined the whole movie. I'm not trying to rhyme. I'm just being realistic. That's something y 'all are not being, you know?
37:11Chad Johnson:Man, you know what? Yeah, we got a bunch of old guys teaming up and now y 'all think they got a chance out the West. Like, come on. Okay. All right. All right, Debbie Downer. Look, you know what? I take it back. I want AD to stay in Washington with Trey and DeBonta. Damn it. Damn it. I want to see that. I want to see that. I can't deal with him. Not tonight. Not tonight.
37:30Shannon Sharpe:See, I told you, Joe. Man, you'll spoil every move. He's talking about something. See, this is what happened, y 'all. This is what happened during the NBA season, right? Y 'all thinking and talking with your heart. and I'm using logic and common sense which is why I told you how the NBA finals was going to go. That's why I got everything correct. I'm not thinking with my heart. I'm using this up here.
37:55Chad Johnson:AD, LeBron, and Dre is cool. It's like cooling the game. Cheers, man. It's like a little family reunion. All the old heads get together. Let's go hoop. Come on, man. That ain't finna work. I was having a good day today.
38:13Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, man, what? Until this N-word came along.
38:18Chad Johnson:Not tonight, Ocho. I mean, I'm just being realistic, man. I'm just telling you. I love y 'all to death, man. And it's y 'all fault. Y 'all got me watching basketball, so now I got to better understand it. Now I got to get y 'all in line. Y 'all talking crazy. Oh, man, I love to see that. In the West, man, in the West, they going to be last again. Last. Damn. I'm just being honest.
38:41Shannon Sharpe:Bet they don't be last. What? We don't really got to bet because of hypothetical and LeBron ain't going there. Hey, I tell you what. What do you think Miami going to be? You make it seem like Miami going to be the one or two seed in the East. Hold on. We going to be better than y 'all. No, no, no, no. You make it seem like y 'all about to be the one or two seed in the East. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Let me tell you something. We going to be the three seed. Listen, y 'all don't listen to me when I be talking. We all going to be after the Hawks. Listen, I'm trying to give y 'all...
39:09Chad Johnson:The who? The house... You said y 'all gonna be the three seed, so I figured y 'all gonna be behind us. Y 'all might not even make the damn play until I got the house.
39:18Shannon Sharpe:Hey, Joe, while he always bumping his gums, he make it seem like Giannis is a beacon of help. Right. I don't know if you noticed it. Hold on. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on. You talk about... What's Giannis? The Greek freak? The Greek freak? That miss only played 36 games last year, that one. Oh, yeah, yeah. He did that on purpose. Sneak freak? There wasn't nothing wrong with him.
39:38Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah, yeah. There wasn't nothing wrong with him. I knew what he was doing. I told him what he was doing. Okay. Pull the ABA. He pulled the wool over everybody's eyes. Yeah. But he in Miami now, that's all that matters. And don't forget, Uncle Joe, Pat Riley and Mickey Harrison got one more trick up they sleeve now. You hear me? What do you think they got? Listen, I don't want to be real no more than I should. I know what they want.
40:01Shannon Sharpe:Huh? I know what they want. What they want? The guy that played there before? LeBron? He'd be in a better situation than going to goddamn with the Warriors. Now he old. Now all of a sudden, you want an old guy in Miami.
40:18Chad Johnson:Yeah. I didn't call him old. I never said that. I didn't use some words. I'm just saying. We talk about a team of old guys teaming up like it's a high school reunion.
40:28Shannon Sharpe:You make it seem like Giannis in this second year. Well, he younger than everybody else's name. Giannis in year 14 coming up, ain't he? Don't worry about it. We're going to have Clay to shoot. I mean, my bad.
40:38Chad Johnson:Yeah, okay. All right. Hey, my bad.
40:42Shannon Sharpe:But look, the question is, Joe, I mean, if they could, okay, get off Jimmy and change some of those picks. You got a nice Puzinski and you got Santos. You got some nice guys. Now, I don't know what they're going to do with Puzingas. Because isn't Puzingas there?
41:02Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah, he there. to be able to get AD and Bron I think they'll gamble with that Chad what's up Chad I don't think they have much choice Joe yeah they'll gamble with that considering that Steph and Draymond them on their last leg bro I think they'll do whatever they can I'm saying before them boys eventually go out you know maybe maybe they retire a warrior, but I can't see them letting Steph leave, bro.
41:39Shannon Sharpe:No, no, no, no. The only way is if that Steph wants to go. Steph's going to want to have, he's going to have to request out. They're not going to just like Steph, you know, trade him. He's going to have to request out. He's going to have to do what Giannis did.
41:51Chad Johnson:Steph needs stock in the Warriors' hell if I'm him.
41:54Shannon Sharpe:Oh, yeah. They're not bad. I mean, Peter Gruber and Joe Lacombe, they owe a lot. They owe one Stephen Curry. Yeah. And then plus, you know, he's out there in the Bay. He gets an opportunity. All those new companies that's coming along. Tech companies. Yeah. Man. Steph probably worth a billion dollars right now. Steph probably been on all that stuff that's coming. Yeah.
42:17Chad Johnson:Might need to holler at him about a few things.
42:20Shannon Sharpe:While you bulljabbing, that show be nice. I got a couple that I can let go.
42:29Shannon Sharpe:Ocho says no. Ocho like LeBron to pair with Bam and Giannis, they're going to lose Norman Powell. Norman Powell's going to get paid a big payday because before that injury, Norman Powell was averaging about 23, 24 points a game.
42:46Chad Johnson:Norman Powell was balling before he got to Miami.
42:49Shannon Sharpe:Yes, sir. Oh, yeah, yeah. But I'm saying, in Miami, before he got injured?
42:53Chad Johnson:Yeah.
42:53Shannon Sharpe:Oh, he was cooking.
42:54Chad Johnson:Yeah, you got to remember, Unc, he would have been an all-star that year, that last year in Cleveland. I mean, the last year for the Clippers, if Bron would have said that he wasn't playing.
43:04Shannon Sharpe:Yes. He would have. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, he didn't tell him. He showed up, and now I'm not playing. No, he robbed a man of an all-star appearance. Yeah, yeah. I'm upset about that one.
43:14Chad Johnson:So I think Norman Powell is definitely due for a payday. He led the heat in scoring this past year. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. He's nice with it.
43:23Shannon Sharpe:He's nice. Yeah, but. We'll see what they can do. I know Bron has a, he's very high.
43:34Shannon Sharpe:Thanks very, very highly of Steve Kerr. Yeah. We already know what he thinks of Steph Curry. That doesn't need to be discussed. Obviously, he wanted LeBron and he, excuse me, he wanted AD in LA. They got him to LA. They were able to win a championship, lost to the East, but they really couldn't stay healthy. The biggest thing with AD and LeBron is that they couldn't stay healthy. LeBron, if LeBron was healthy, AD wasn't. If AD was healthy, LeBron wasn't. They really couldn't coincide because the one year they stayed healthy, yeah, it was the championship, the bubble in 2020, COVID, but we got a break.
44:07Shannon Sharpe:You see what happened, Joe? We played that. Then February came, they shut it down. Everybody was off until July, August. But we got 90 days. Can you stay healthy for three months? The problem that I have is if you're the Lakers,
44:26Chad Johnson:how do you let LeBron just walk and you don't get nothing in return? They can't. That's what I'm saying. You know what I mean? Yeah, it's like we talk about all these different scenarios, but it's hard for me to see him leaving the Lakers for some reason. You let him go, I mean, damn. Luka ain't all supposed to get you.
44:46Shannon Sharpe:That's what they believe. That's what Laker fans believe. Laker fans, true Laker fans, say they're tired of LeBron. They want him to leave. Luka and A.R. are going to take us to where we want to go. It's not even the fans. It's the organization. No, but the fans too. Laker fans say we, the Laker fans, I've been around enough, and enough of them said we never wanted LeBron. Mind you, while they were in mediocrity, because I know they remember what it was after they won them championships. I know they didn't forget that. But maybe they did. They had one year because the next year they got swept.
45:24Shannon Sharpe:They got swept. Everybody talk about LeBron and D-Wade and Bosh. That same Dallas team that beat LeBron and D-Wade them in the finals, what did they do to the two-time back-to-back champion? Swept them. Swept them. You didn't know that, Ocho? Yeah, I know that. I ain't even mean to bring that up. With that being said, I really do want LeBron to go somewhere else, finish out where he's going. I don't care. At this point in time, you know what? I'm going to go see him regardless. Because this might be his last year, so I'm going to spend my money like I always do and go see him. Whether it's Golden State, whether it's Miami, I don't give a damn where he's going.
46:11Shannon Sharpe:Hell, he can go play for the team that Will Ferrell played for. I'll go see him. But I want to see. But all I know, I'm going to be watching. We got five eyes on Nightcap. I got two good eyes. Joe got two good eyes. Ocho got one good one. Right. And we're going to be watching. All I know is they got five years to bring a championship to L.A.
46:41Chad Johnson:Five. Hey, hey, hey. The way the West set up right now, partner. It ain't looking good. I don't see it.
46:49Shannon Sharpe:It ain't got nothing to do with me. It ain't got nothing to do with me. It ain't looking good. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And I'm going to hashtag everything Laker Nation. Hashtag everything purple and gold.
47:04Chad Johnson:They say you can't miss a good thing until it's gone.
47:07Shannon Sharpe:No, no. We never wanted him. No. How do you not want, regardless of what you think, How do you not want one of the top five players that's ever played the game? I got him at one. If he's not your top five, you need to reevaluate what you're doing. Forget just forget performance. Look at the accolades because that's what y 'all base everything else on. 50:50Shannon Sharpe:I ain't got nothing else to do. We watch basketball for a living, so we as well make sure we click in and talk about the Lakers.
50:59Chad Johnson:Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello.
51:03Shannon Sharpe:Hello. No, I've never been a Laker fan. And y 'all are not true Laker fans because true Laker fans, true team fans, you root for your team regardless of who's on it, dum-dums. That's the definition of a fan, a fanatic. You root for your team regardless of who's on it. Because if you root for your team just because this player on it, that player's on it, you're not a fan either. Do y 'all know how it works? that's what fandom is huh yeah
51:40Chad Johnson:I'm with you when you're right now
51:42Shannon Sharpe:that's how fandom so I guess you know I promise you before Tom Brady joined the Patriots I'm sure a lot of people did what Ocho root against Tom Brady but Tom Brady joined the team, they rooted for Tom Brady.
52:07Chad Johnson:Tie gold.
52:09Shannon Sharpe:A lot of people rooted against Randy Johnson. But guess what they did when the Yankees got and they rooted for him because he's on your team now. That's what fans do. Oh, you're a fan. In other words, you know better than I am if you're just a fan of player.
52:28Shannon Sharpe:because I made no bones about it I followed him wherever he went he went to Cleveland I was a bra he went to Miami he went back to Cleveland he came to LA yep and wherever he go guess what that's the fact I'm rooting for him I hope the team do well too absolutely
52:44Chad Johnson:yeah
52:45Shannon Sharpe:yeah that's but I'm but I don't make any any you know bones about that you know I'm a this fan I'm a that fan No, I like the players. I root for the players.
52:58Chad Johnson:Yeah. I got teams like that. I root for players too. Yeah. Yeah. It's what everybody do.
53:03Shannon Sharpe:Yep. It's definitely. But don't give me this notion, oh, I'm a Laker fan. No, you a Laker. You like the players. The problem with what it was, this is what it all boiled down to. Y 'all thought, Bron, y 'all saw this. Kobe and LeBron was very close in playing style as far as he on this side. It's basically Boston and L.A. Boston and L.A. And y 'all thought, bro, how can you take down something that's already been established? LeBron could have averaged 72 points a game. It wasn't going to diminish what Kobe had done. Kobe was done. Kobe was done. Kobe was done.
53:48Shannon Sharpe:I don't get that I don't maybe if I was maybe if I didn't play the game and have a different we view the game differently through the lens of the player and we kind of analyze the game so it's kind of hard for us to like just sit there and just like oh they scored a basket Joe you look at that highest got the basket man what did hey that was a nice move like 6-Y-Z the double team should have came y 'all should have trapped that man come on man y 'all got a hedge or something y 'all got a show or do something. Y 'all can't drop that coverage.
54:17Chad Johnson:Right. Thanks.
54:18Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, you're looking like, man, what coverage is y 'all in and let that man do that? Yeah. And in that coverage, that man should have been coverage. Ain't no way in that coverage, that guy should have been that wide open. But man, I just want him to go. As much as I enjoy going back to the Lakers, going to the Lakers and all the security, and everybody, you know, hey, show me love when I go there, but hey, time out for this, man.
54:44Chad Johnson:Hey, you feel he's devalued and underappreciated. Yeah. Yeah. Well, yeah. As great as he is, I don't even know why the conversation comes out where some people, you know, compare him, but, you know, he would never do what Kobe did. Listen, Kobe is iconic. What he's done there, what he did for the Lakers, no matter what LeBron does, he'll never be able to unseat that and that feeling that Kobe gave to those people. And that's okay. People have to be able to compartmentalize and be able to separate the two. Okay, LeBron is here now in understanding what LeBron is doing is completely different and has nothing to do with what Kobe did.
55:23Shannon Sharpe:But that's the hardest part, Ocho. It's the same thing that we go through when we critique a player, especially an accomplished player. They feel that we say if that player didn't play good, you say now all of a sudden, oh, he shouldn't have been MVP? He shouldn't have been player of the year. He should have been a Pro Bowl. He shouldn't have been first team. No, no, no, that's not what I'm saying. He did that. But by the same token, because he already accomplished all that, that doesn't give him a lifetime pass to play bad and excuse us from critiquing his play. That's all I've ever said. I've never tried to take anything that a person has accomplished in a particular, anything.
56:02Shannon Sharpe:That's why when you hear me, when somebody is a senator, I always address them as senator. Or someone is this. It's always president. because I respect, forget the person, it's the institution. Even if the person doesn't respect the institution, I still have enough respect for the institution. So it's Senator Warren, Senator Collins, Senator so forth and so on. Or if you're in the military, you're a police captain, lieutenant, serge. That's just the way I have detective. So whatever a person has done, they've done it. You can't take, even if you try it, no matter whatever you say bad about a person, at the end of the day after you said everything that you said guess what you got to say sorry he's a four five time champion yes sir he's a two three time mvp he's a 10 15 20 time all-star he's a 10 11 time all nba selection even after you said everything that you said yeah he's still that resume crazy crazy resume crazy look I think I think look inherit the thing you know when they started devaluing it where the moment they traded Anthony Davidson they got Luca yeah it's like any relationship you don't start treating the other one bad until you got something else lined up
57:24Chad Johnson:come on
57:27Shannon Sharpe:we gotta go there
57:29Chad Johnson:We got to go there. Come on. We got to go there. We got to go there. Hold on. You know how they do in church? We got to go there. I got my A's. We got to go there. Come on. Go ahead.
57:38Shannon Sharpe:You want to find out if your partner got to see how he or she treats you. Yes. All of a sudden, they start treating you. They don't care if you come or go. Everything is short. You short tempered. Yeah. They short tempered with you. Yeah. Damn. Why you breathing so loud? Yeah. Come on. Yeah. Come on, pastor. Yeah. Man. Oh, my goodness. Yeah. Everything you do annoyed them. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Yeah, time to go. I was in a situation. I knew it was over. I had an inkling that it was over. Uh-huh. I had an inkling that it was over. But you know what? I said, you know what? I need Christmas. Because, you know, sometimes when we say we need a sign, sometimes I need a stop sign to actually fall on my head.
58:27Shannon Sharpe:And then I said, oh, yeah. God, you're telling me something. The one last time, Ocho and Joe, we went out to dinner. Yes, sir. Everybody in the chat, y 'all know I'm allergic to shellfish. Yeah. What you think she ordered? No. Nah. Wait, and she know you allergic to it. Whoa. Whoa. Whoop, there it is. No. Wait, hold on. Hold on. But how does that? Wait, hold on. You got me real quick. Now, she ordered shellfish for herself. Yeah. If I'm allergic to it, are you going to be able to kiss me? Are you going to be able to be in my vicinity? Right. Hey.
59:10Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, hey, hey. She tried to send you to the upper room. Hey, hey, hey.
59:15Shannon Sharpe:She told me, she basically told me, I don't give a damn that it's over. Damn. This is my way, because sometimes, sometimes people's actions will say what their words could never say. Hello.
59:27Chad Johnson:Hello.
59:29Shannon Sharpe:That was her way of saying, this is over.
59:32Chad Johnson:Yeah.
59:32Shannon Sharpe:I know you know it's over, but I'm finna crystallize it. I'm finna make it clear. I'm finna make it crystal clear. I'm finna make it abundantly clear.
59:40Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. She knew y 'all weren't going to be close to each other that night. Huh? Yeah, yeah, yeah. The fact that she didn't just come out and say, you know, this ain't working, you know, she took that meal.
59:53Shannon Sharpe:Yes! Oh, man, come on. Hey, Joe. So that's what I'm saying in this situation. The moment they got Luca. Yes, sir. Yeah. Oh, now all of a sudden. She did that what she already did. Guess what? Already had somebody. Hello. Ta-da. Yeah. Ta-da. So it is what it is. Yeah.
1:00:25Chad Johnson:Yeah. We know how the game go, man. Oh, hey, listen. The game is the game, Joe. You lose some. Yeah, the game is the game. And listen, it's the nature of the business, man. Listen, the fact that Bron has lasted this long, I'm sure nothing surprises him right now. You know, it's just going to add a little fuel to whatever fire he still got burning, and he's going to try to be the best he can be, bro. I know one thing. His next move got to be his best move, Joe. Oh, it's going to be his best move. His next move got to be his best move. It's going to be his best one. Yeah. Especially if you think about winning a championship.
1:01:00Are you still trying to win a championship or are you trying to go out having fun?
1:01:04Chad Johnson:What you trying to say, man? What you meaning? It sounds like you trying to say something. Are you trying to win a championship and have a title run or are you just trying to go out having fun? There's only two things you can do. I'm reading the fine print. Listen, after you have accomplished everything he has. Yeah. Yes. Where he's at in his career.
1:01:24Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. He'll be 42 going into the next season, huh? Yes. What are we doing? One of the best, the greatest, in the words of Aung, the goal.
1:01:34Chad Johnson:Yeah. Depending on who you ask. Yeah. Going into year 23, are you want to have fun and play with some people you've never had the opportunity to play with, who you admire and look up to as your peers, or do you want to contend for a title? I
1:01:52Shannon Sharpe:Me personally There's only two things you can do Let me say it Let me put it to you like this Ocho I think the thing is When you enjoy what you It's kind of like you know In certain industries Yes sir Like as a pilot for an airline At 65 No matter how much fun you're Having fun flying No matter how impeccable your record are You gotta shut it down In certain situations in the military You reach a certain age you got to stop. Sports is normally the A. As long as I'm producing at a high level, I'm still enjoying it. And he's like, man, I'm still playing. I'm still giving you 21-6-7.
1:02:35Shannon Sharpe:He's the exception to the rule, bro. But you know what? I don't care if he was averaging 37-7-7. Eventually, we all going to have to face it. The game is going to leave us all. Now, the trick is to leave one year before they want you to go. That's the trick. They're going to come a time. They're going to come a time. I don't care who you are.
1:03:12Shannon Sharpe:Your time is done. Yeah.
1:03:14Chad Johnson:But you don't know that time until you get your ass in the offseason and that phone ain't ringing like it used to.
1:03:22Shannon Sharpe:But see, that's why you leave. See, Joe, you stay too long then. You see what? You die, you die, baby. That's why you leave a year early when the phone's ringing and you tell them no. See, breaking up is easy. Oh, Joe, we've talked about this. Joe, you've been on here. We talked about it. Breaking up is easy when it's you doing the breaking up. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, when is you doing the blocking? When is you doing the, hey, is you taking the phone, the number out of the phone? Yeah.
1:03:53Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:03:57Yeah.
1:03:58Shannon Sharpe:Now, all of a sudden, you on block. Guess what? You got to go get another phone. Girl, you tripping.
1:04:05Chad Johnson:Oh, man. Oh, man. Come on. Hey. Hey, hey, hey, hey. You got to be able to catch a damn hint at some point now.
1:04:17Shannon Sharpe:I mean. Hold on. Hold on. Joe, there's a very fine line. Yeah. Do I turn the page or do I close the book? Ocho, they ain't ready. Ocho, see why you got me like this? All right. Joe, I don't want to do this, Joe. You see, Joe, you asked for this, Joe.
1:04:37Chad Johnson:We here for it tonight. We here for it tonight. Hey, listen. It's a reason it's Sunday. We here for it tonight. It's a very small line, chat,
1:04:46Shannon Sharpe:between turning the page and closing the book.
1:04:50Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah. You're right. That's a good one now, boy.
1:04:58Shannon Sharpe:We.
1:05:02Shannon Sharpe:It's enough. Because this is how we got to where we are. Just imagine giving up. You didn't make something, and you're like, man, I got to take a hand. it ain't for me. What do we do? We dig in. We try harder. We're taught the way we were brought up and the way we are instilled in us. Try harder. If it didn't work, try harder. And you know what it is? We've always been in a situation. We played a sport. We felt if we tried harder, we could change the outcome. But see, that is an outcome that you don't get to control. The other party does.
1:05:47Shannon Sharpe:see the loneliest place in the world is a place that you're not wanted I can want something but if she doesn't want me back doesn't matter what you do there ain't enough trips to the Maldives there ain't enough private jets there ain't enough Birkin bags there ain't a car that's been created if somebody does there have been people even after they received all of that. No. I don't want to be with you.
1:06:20Shannon Sharpe:Enough is enough. You ain't got to do it. Hey, Joe. Let me tell you something about a woman. I got to look after 58 years. I've learned something. Come on. Take your time. When a woman's mind is made up, because you got to realize you pushed her farther than she ever intended to go. Yeah. Once you pushed her past that and she get to that other place, it's over.
1:06:46Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:06:47Shannon Sharpe:What place we talking about, huh? This is the line right here. Yes, sir.
1:06:55Shannon Sharpe:You've gone over the line and she's met you. Yeah. She really cared about you. Mm. And you moved it and she met you here.
1:07:04Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:07:04Shannon Sharpe:And when she say, that's it. When she said, that's it when she say that's it
1:07:18Shannon Sharpe:that's it
1:07:19Chad Johnson:when a woman's fed up
1:07:23Shannon Sharpe:ain't nothing you can do
1:07:24Chad Johnson:it ain't nothing you can do about it no sir yeah I'm wishing I remember that back in the days
1:07:37Shannon Sharpe:we've all been through it There are some guys in the chat say they ain't never been through it. They ain't never been broken up with you. Keep living. They ain't never had a woman broke their heart. They ain't never had a woman do something to them. There are people in the chat that's like that. Congratulations to you. Keep living. Keep living. The problem is you done had it done to you the most because you're not smart enough to realize that it actually happened to you. Hey, come on now.
1:08:07Shannon Sharpe:Oh, shit. Hey. But that's all I got. So, sources are the Warriors are looking to acquire Anthony Davis via trade. Obviously, they have to get off Jimmy Butler's contract, give up some draft capital as well, and hopefully that would be enticing enough to reunite Anthony Davis and LeBron James in the Bay. It does keep him on the West Coast. The Bay to L.A., you know, hey, Savannah's probably staying. Boom, boom, boom. gives him an opportunity. I guess a couple times he worked it out. I said, look, Zuri has a couple of stuff. I would like to see a game here to or there. And you work that out.
1:08:50Chad Johnson:Hey, you know the whole plate on you, man. You got the whole plate. Look.
1:08:57Shannon Sharpe:Work out all of those things. Because once you sign your name on the contract, it's over, Joe. Work out all All the stuff, hey, this is what I need. Hey, I want this jersey number. I want to be able to X, Y, get that covered.
1:09:13Chad Johnson:And y 'all know what's next.
1:09:14Shannon Sharpe:Hey, it ain't no misunderstanding. No, well, I thought this, I thought that. Nope.
1:09:19Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, hey, if that's to happen, though, real talk. If Brown was to go to the Warriors, I could see them. I'm talking about, like, if it happened within the next week, I can see them boys in the gym, you know, trying to gain that chemistry and continuity, trying to speed up the pace. Yes. Because they're going to want to win. No matter how you cut it, cut it or slice it, they're going to be looking to win a title. So, man, if this was to happen, this would be great for the game too, Ocho. Yeah.
