In short
Nightcap episode mixes NFL preseason reaction (Hall of Fame Game) with NFL contract/payroll talk, focusing on quarterback/rookie performances and the rising value of elite running backs.
Guests
Chad Ochocinco Johnson (former NFL wide receiver; 6x Pro Bowl, 3x All-Pro; “Liberty City legend” co-host) and Iso Joe Johnson (former NBA player; 7x NBA All-Star; Atlanta Hawks; co-host). No additional guests named.
Key claims
- Hall of Fame Game was unusually exciting for a preseason opener; both offenses looked sharp, with limited mistakes/penalties.
- Carson Beck (Cardinals) looked poised and efficient in his first start; Haynes King (Panthers) impressed, especially in the final drive, despite one overthrown pass to Jimmy Horn Jr.
- Undrafted QB Haynes King’s performance could earn him a higher QB role.
- Running backs are being paid again; elite, game-changing backs (not interchangeable ones) drive the market.
Notable examples
- Carolina beat Arizona on a final-play TD by Haynes King.
- Jameer Gibbs signed a 3-year $67.5M extension (highest-paid RB).
- Jonathan Taylor signed a 2-year $44M extension (up to $47M).
- Discussion references top RBs like Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey, Bijan Robinson.

5:42Shannon Sharpe:The NFL is back. The NFL is back. Wow. I know it's just a preseason, but I thought both quarterbacks played well, and it was a very, very entertaining game for it to be a preseason game, let alone the very first preseason game with everything is vanilla. Never know where we're going to go with this. But, hey, we're going to start off talking about the game, a very interesting game, I would say, to say the least. As we mentioned, what a game. Haynes King ran for the touchdown as time expired in the final play of the game as Carolina defeats Arizona. Arizona had driven the length of the field to take the lead on a nice touchdown sliding catch. And then guess what?
7:35Shannon Sharpe:Carolina Panthers drive all the way back down the field, get a touchdown as time expired, and they win the game. Cardinals quarterback Carson Beck, rookie, 15-19, 188 yards, and a touchdown. He played phenomenal. I thought Haynes King played phenomenal. Ocho, watching this ballgame and knowing going into the first game of the preseason is very vanilla. Yes. A lot of cover, too. A lot of basic stuff. No really trick stuff, anything like that. We're saving that. We don't want to expose too much because the first game of the season, everybody's going to go back and watch the – they do watch some of the stuff that you did last year, but they kind of watch what you do in the preseason because, hey, you got a whole new – a lot of new players and a lot of new gadgets that you want to work on.
8:16Shannon Sharpe:So what did you find interesting? What did you like about what you saw from this game from both teams?
8:22Joe Johnson:Listen, for one, for it to be a preseason game, It was very exciting. Most of the time, the Hall of Fame game can be boring, especially once you get to the second, third, and fourth quarters. But throughout the entire of this game, Uncle Joe, the game was really exciting. I was very surprised. I was very curious what Carson Beck would look like with his first start. Obviously, being a winning quarterback, first at Georgia, then going to UM and transferring, have a really good season at UM. I was wondering, would it translate as far as the speed of the game, being able to process information after having a training camp, what he would look like tonight.
8:55Joe Johnson:Carson Beck looked really good. He was in command of the offense. He was poised. He was efficient from the pocket. He made some throws. Carolina, they look good too. For it to be the twos and the threes for the most part. Once they got Kenny Pickett out of there.
9:09Shannon Sharpe:When Kenny Pickett started, didn't he start the game? Yeah, yeah. If he got to play, the only thing that's going to be Pickett is your team because they're going to be outside. No Kenny Pickett. No Kenny Pickett. Hell no. We won't go. Hell no. We won't go. Nah, nah. Boy, he was good and terrible, Joe.
9:28Joe Johnson:Yeah. Hey, the Panthers look good as well. Haynes King, when Haynes King came in, that offense got the flow on. They got the flow on. They were running the ball. They were moving the ball down the field exceptionally well. You know, he did, he did, he did, made all the right throws, made all the right reads. Both quarterback, both head coaches have to be happy with what they saw today. Yeah. You know, with them playing as early as they, playing as early as they have with training camp. They only had, what, six, seven days of training camp?
9:57Shannon Sharpe:Probably about 10 days for this.
9:59Joe Johnson:Yeah. Yeah, there's a lot of stuff to improve on, but both coaches have to be happy with what they saw from their offenses. Defense might need a little work, obviously. Both teams scoring over 28 points, but outside of that, offensively, those coaches have to be happy.
10:13Shannon Sharpe:Before you go, Joe, I thought Haynes King really impressed me because he's in a running offense at Georgia Tech. And so I'm not used to seeing him throw the ball like he did, but he throw the ball like he had been throwing the ball, like he played in a pro-style offense, which is really, really impressive. I think one thing that they're doing, and I'm going to let Joe take it over, is that I love the fact that coaches are identifying, Haynes King, you're going to get basically three and a half quarters of the game. Hey, Carson Beck, you're taking a whole while. It ain't no going there for five or six plays, come out, and you got guys shuffling in and out.
10:45Shannon Sharpe:They established that early, Ochoa and Joe. You play it. So get your mind ready to play the whole damn game. Go ahead, Joe. Yeah. Yeah. I agree with Ocho. I thought both quarterbacks played pretty well. You know, the game was pretty exciting. And then when you look at Kings, bro, he went undrafted, Ocho. You know what I mean? And to be able to come out and be effective the way he was throughout this game and to win that last-minute drive and get a touchdown. I know we talk about, man, it don't mean nothing right now, this, that, and the third. But, hell, man, when you go undrafted, bro, and you get an opportunity to play, man, you're trying to put your step on the game.
11:19Shannon Sharpe:Man, that's a highlight that'll go down for the young man. So I was impressed, bro. I mean, it was a good game. Well, the lower you drafted, the more it means something because it's showing because a lot of times they need camp bodies. They can't go to camp with just 53 players. You tie all your damn guys out. Go ahead, don't you?
11:36Joe Johnson:Yeah, and the funny thing about it too, Uncle Joe, listen, the way Hayden King played tonight, he got everybody's attention.
11:43Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
11:43Joe Johnson:He has everybody's attention. and the fact that you went undrafted, you're able to come out there and look the way you look, coming from the type of offense you came from in college, but was able to come here and transition in the NFL and throw the ball as well as you did tonight, as efficient as you did, made all the right reads, made all the right throws, you definitely opened some minds tonight. And I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to quarterback number two. Yes, I'm saying that thoroughly because we've already seen Kenny Pickett on multiple teams and we've seen what he can do.
12:09Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. And we've seen what he can't do, which is play. Yeah.
12:15Joe Johnson:I mean no disrespect by that. I'm just saying.
12:18Shannon Sharpe:Joe, you know, anytime somebody say, man, I ain't mean nothing by it, they meant something by it. I thought Haynes King had one bad throw. He overthrew Horn Jr., Jimmy Horn Jr. He had it wide open. Wide open. They blew the coverage, and he just, hey, he just, it sailed on him. I was really impressed with Haynes King for the very reasons that you guys said, is that I never saw – I watched him, Georgia Tech. I don't know if you remember that we watched him when they went down to Colorado and beat Colorado. It was bad with his legs, though. They couldn't stop him from running. Colorado wasn't stopping really any quarterback that had athleticism, and they couldn't put –
12:57Joe Johnson:And they had that good – they couldn't stop that running back either. And so I was like – I can't remember the running back name, but he was toting that thing.
13:03Shannon Sharpe:I'm looking at him like, well, damn. And I think that's part of the reason he probably went undrafted. because we're not surprised by this because we saw this a lot. If you go back and study the 70s, 80s, and even the 90s, when guys came from a running-style system, those quarterbacks didn't get drafted high. What did they do? They either switched positions, they became a running back, wide receiver, or they went to DB. They didn't get no opportunity to play no quarterback. Now they're seeing they give them a little bit more leeway. these guys got coaches now. They're going to spend six, eight weeks with the coach after the season's over, get up, get to a pro-style offense, learn to take the ball under center.
13:49Shannon Sharpe:But still a lot of people still from the gun. Sean McVay, Kyle Shanahan is two of the coaches that they like to play their quarterback to get up under center. But most people still take it from the gun. And so guys didn't get opportunities that came from running, especially with their color. They didn't get them opportunities. They ain't getting no opportunity. Tommy Frazier ain't getting no opportunity. Jamil Holloway ain't getting no opportunity. You go back and look at the guys and study the guys that came out of those systems. They didn't get opportunities like that. Yeah. So it was good to see.
14:21Shannon Sharpe:I thought Carson Beck played really well. Now you understand. You're like, damn. I just didn't understand why that man had that kind of talent at Georgia.
14:33Shannon Sharpe:And once he got hurt, I guess they got hurt. And then Stockton came in there. you know, hey, you know sometimes guys you get hurt. You get wildly pipped. And we've seen it happen to the best of them.
14:46Joe Johnson:But you know you almost offering that bag now.
14:52Shannon Sharpe:How could they offer him a bag? Because he lost that job to gunna Stockton.
15:00Shannon Sharpe:You notice ain't nobody offered no Arch Manning no bag because he entrenched their taxes. If you not in tricks somewhere? Because guess what? You make it seem like Georgia ain't got no boosters. Georgia pay good, too. Oh, yeah, absolutely. Hold on. You don't think Texas pay any good? Yeah, but that's what I'm saying. If he was what they thought, if he was what we thought he was, Georgia would have matched that bag. Joe, you live in Atlanta. Boy, ain't nothing like them Bulldogs. Ain't nothing like them damn Georgia Bulldogs, man. Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves? Boy, you better stop I'm playing with Chipper Jones.
15:38Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. What Chipper? Man, yeah. Them Bulldogs, them flagged. Hey, that's Saturday. Hunker down, you hairy dog. Yeah, man. I grew up in Georgia. Joe, and I know it's like in the South, football is king. So I know it's like that in Arkansas. Oh, yeah. You know. In Mississippi, you got. But boy, look here. Georgia Bulldogs, number one, in Atlanta. Yes, sir. Followed by the Falcons. If you want to throw the Braves in there somewhere, or the Hawks down the line, but ain't nothing going in front of the Bulldogs and the Braves. Man, them Bulldogs and them Falcons, bro. Hey, listen, them folks going to cut up by them Falcons now.
16:22Shannon Sharpe:So if you had to rank them, where do you think they rank? Who? If you had to rank Bulldogs, Braves, Falcons, Hawks, I don't know the name of the soccer team they got, Ocho. How do you rank them? Atlanta United. Bulldogs, Falcons, Braves, Hawks. Yeah. I would go opposite. Bulldogs, Falcons, Braves. I would go Bulldogs, Braves. And then Falcons? Man, I don't know, man. Man, look at Joe. Now, maybe once upon a time when they had Vic, he about to jump in front of the Braves. But boy, ain't nothing jumping in front of them Bulldogs. You forget that. No, no, no, no, no, no. They love them Bulldogs. You kill some Christmas on that.
17:13Shannon Sharpe:But also, guys, we talked about this game being entertaining. It was the first preseason game, and you get as many points as you got. The game wasn't sloppy. It wasn't a whole lot of penalties. It wasn't a whole lot of drop passes. Guys were putting the ball on the money. Guys weren't fumbling the football. There weren't a whole lot of mistakes. I'm like, okay, damn. of.

17:34Joe Johnson:You know what that comes from too, right? Hey, Joe, anytime you see a team like this where you got twos and threes and fours of people trying to make a team and you see them play as clean as they did tonight, that ain't nothing but coaching. That ain't nothing but coaching. That ain't nothing but coaching and no structure and discipline, man. That's all it comes down to. But what are you vying for a job? Maybe not a job there, but you putting film on tape. If things don't work out on this team, You know, somebody else got to see that. So you want to be as perfect as possible. You want to make every play that you can.
18:10Joe Johnson:And for the most part, from an offensive standpoint, based on what I saw, everybody did want a hell of a job. And I know it's a very small sample size. Everything is vanilla. It is the preseason. But those coaches and those GMs and those that make the decisions, you know, that B, they seem like they're going to be in good hands with a quarterback like Carson Beck whenever it's time to move on for Jacoby Brissett.
18:32Shannon Sharpe:They're going to move on after this.
18:33Joe Johnson:I know it's a small sample size. I don't mean to jump the gun. I'm just saying.
18:35Shannon Sharpe:I think the thing, and also, Ocho and Joe, is that guys realize they cut people up here. This ain't college. Alex Gibbs, you know, sometimes we ain't got to keep your ass. Just because you hear the name, we ain't got to keep you, Joe. Nah. They instill that. They let you know very early on. They cut up here. This ain't college. You're not, hey, you're on scholarship, but we'll smash the college scholarship at the end of the year. but in this situation they'll snatch you before you even get the meal you don't got no no key card yeah they try to scare you straight and they do and they do because all you all you got to do is that you see when you see somebody next to you and then the locker cleaned out oh that way oh damn they
19:21Joe Johnson:really do cut people hey hey hey it's a scary it's a scary it's a scary time man. You never know, Joe.
19:29Shannon Sharpe:Hey, hold on. When y 'all was playing, did it ever happen to y 'all the way y 'all got close to a guy next to you and you look up and he got... You know what I used to do, Joe? All the guys that once they made the team, I say I need y 'all to come just one Tuesday. Just one Tuesday because that's our day off. Burns. They talked about it. Man, what them guys? I said, them guys working out for your job. You F up, they gonna have your job. You see where they are on Tuesday? This way you need to have your ass at on a Tuesday. Let them see. There will not be a Tuesday during the year in which they will not have somebody in that locker room, Ocho, kicking, catching, running, throwing, backpedaling, dropping to a zone as a linebacker, hitting bags of the D lineman.
20:25Shannon Sharpe:Bro, you need to understand. They're looking for the best 53 they can find. And if they don't feel they have them on this roster, they're going to take their ass out there and go get them.
20:35Joe Johnson:They're going to find it somewhere.
20:36Shannon Sharpe:It's just like if you're making a dish. If you don't have all the ingredients that you need, what you do? You stop making that dish and take your ass and go get it. Well, they're not going to stop. They're going to keep it going. But guess what? They looking. They looking. And I tried to – and I did everything I possibly could to let the guys – I said, bro, I ain't trying to scare you. I'm just giving you the facts.
20:58Joe Johnson:You know what you got to do too, Uncle Joe, when they try to scare you, depending on who you are, for one, you got to be confident, right? Yes. You got to be confident and your play has to make you irreplaceable.
21:08Shannon Sharpe:Yes.
21:08Joe Johnson:Your play has to make you irreplaceable. Now you got a nice window. You got a nice window. I call it a decade. You got a nice decade where you can make yourself irreplaceable. Most of the greats, most of the good players, you know, your window is 10 years. Yeah. if you could at what you do and you're consistent at what you do. Now, once you get past 10 years, you start to hit that 30-year-old mark, the thing get a little iffy because your price tag is too goddamn high. Now they got to make a business to you.
21:37Shannon Sharpe:But the thing I wanted to guide, Ocho, as those young guys coming in because everybody wasn't no first or second round pick. Now they cut a second, third round pick. Before, they gave you a couple of years. They let you fail and fail like, bro, how you still here? You terrible. All you do is you a second round draft pick and all you do is play special teams. You ain't getting that one snap on offense. You don't get that one snap on defense. All you do is give a scout team looks and you still here after two, three years? Yeah. No more. Boy, they get your ass up out of there so quick now. Hey, that's why you got to be a hard worker, bro.
22:12Shannon Sharpe:I'm saying like even if you got the talent, if you one of the most talented guys on the team and you work hard, you can't lose, my dude. You're not. I'm going to keep it 100. You can't lose. So because I've seen so many cats come through Uncle Ocho who I'm talking about super talented, bro, but they had to work at the match, so they never reached their potential. You know what I'm saying? So I think it's a lot of cats out there, especially because they're so young nowadays and you get to kind of watch them grow. But, man, it's just different, bro. When you're a hard worker and you got talent. Joe, I can teach you how to run a route.
22:52Shannon Sharpe:I can teach you how to tackle. I can teach you how to get to the hook. I can teach you how to be. I cannot teach you how to work hard. That's got to be in you. That's not something you develop once you get to that level.
23:11Shannon Sharpe:That's why they say I love speed. That's why they want speed. I can teach you everything else. I can't teach you how to run fast. if you can or you can't. And people say, oh, he can't. No, no, no. He had that. Now, he might have got his technique to pick up because when you're trying to run 40, it's a step here. It's margin. Yeah. But so what? If that's the case, I could have got the Olympic coach. I could get Dennis Mitchell or I could get Weston Francis from Jamaica and he could make Tom Brady a 4-4 guy. He can't because Tom Brady don't have 4-4 genetics in his body he didn't have four four makeup dorsiflex in his ankle hamstrings quads so that he's not built like that guys that can run fast they could always run fast now i can get i can add some things to you to teach you how to bound and how to keep your ankles locked to keep you from bouncing up and down but no and that's what i try to that's what i that's the thing that i always try to tell guys guys don't i never forget they touched what they told me said son don't cut yourself let me do that don't cut yourself son damn hey even if you make a mistake Joe coaches tell us all the time even if you make a mistake make it in a hurry make it in a hurry we can correct that you loafing and you F up I can't I can't so what do I say what do I coach?
24:41Shannon Sharpe:The loaf or I say, well, son, you're supposed to be in the B gap, you went to the A. You're supposed to run an out, you're in an end. It's cover two and you're supposed to reroute that and go over the top. So I'm trying to figure out, I can't, I'm going to correct one thing. You tell me what you want me to correct. Because if I got to correct your effort, don't worry about it. I get somebody else in here that'll do that for you. I get somebody that'll work hard.
25:06Joe Johnson:Hey, it's a lot of people willing to feel that, with them Phillip Shoes back.
25:09Shannon Sharpe:Hello. A lot. Hey, it ain't nothing like, boy, when you get in that film session, hey, you see yourself on tape, but he keep pouring you out. Yeah. Man, look, that was the worst, Joe. There's nothing like, and you know. Man, I said, boy, I mean, we go to, hey, I be telling Rod, I said, man, I tell how, boy, I was terrible today, man. Man, what, man, you know, hey, you call him. I said, nah, not in the run game, bro. I said, I sure hope we ain't watching this thing together on Wednesday. Right, right, right. Ooh, we. And the special teams was worse because Richard Smith, he was rewinding. He's like, every time I cut the tape off, look at this, on the ground.
25:57Shannon Sharpe:He rewinding, on the ground again, rewinding, on the ground again. It's the same play. He talking about you on the ground again. All you did was rewinding. Man, I'd be in there crying. I mean, I'm like, okay.
26:12Shannon Sharpe:But those were the days, but these guys are nervous because you got to realize, all of a sudden, you're going out there, you're not the best anymore. No, sir. You're not. No, sir.
26:23Joe Johnson:No, hey, the playing field is completely even. Yes.
26:26Shannon Sharpe:Hey, hey, hey, hey, not only are you not the best, but it's a damn pecking order. Yes. Yeah. Yeah, you're going to have to fall in line. Yeah. Guess what Ocho, he was Allstate too. Guess what Joe, he was Mr. Basketball, Mr. Football, Mr. Baseball, he was that too. Yeah. You been telling me you was Mr. Football in Alabama? You was Mr. Football in Georgia? You was Mr. Football in Texas? California? Yep. You was Allstate? Yep. In two sports? Three. What? Emothy?
26:58Joe Johnson:Yeah.
26:59Shannon Sharpe:A. Yes. It's A, it's a tough game. And guess what? I love my family just like you love yours. As a matter of fact, I think I might love my grandma more than you love yours. Cause I'm willing to die for mine. You willing to die for yours? Ooh.
27:16Joe Johnson:Hey, cause I need the job. Yeah. I need the job.
27:21Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
27:21Joe Johnson:I need this roster spot. I'm finna do any and everything to make sure I get it. My anything is necessary.
27:27Shannon Sharpe:Hey, hey, hey. No, not that I need it, but I'm here to take it today, partner. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm coming to get my spot today. Yes. I'm coming to get mine today, yeah. I don't know what you will do, won't do, but I'm telling you what I'm willing to do. Hello. So I just want to know how far you willing to go to get this job. Man, hey, my time, man, hey, I got to have some time for myself. Hey, working ain't the end all, be all. Okay, don't worry about it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay.
28:00Joe Johnson:It will be for you. And that's the mentality you got to have. Yes.
28:07Shannon Sharpe:I'm going to be able to sit down at 36, 37. Yeah. You just have to make a decision what's important to you. Everybody, Ocho, and that's okay. Everybody don't want to be a professional athlete. They think they do, but they really don't because they don't want to put in what it takes to be that. Some people are okay, and I don't begrudge anybody that wants to work at a nine to five, have a good, honest, hard-paying job. You're going to be able to have holidays with your family. You're going to be able to be off on most of those. You'll be off on the weekends. You'll get paid for overtime. NFL, you go to overtime game, Joe, you go to overtime, you don't get no extra money.
28:52Shannon Sharpe:You don't get no extra money for working overtime, Joe. You don't get no extra pay for taking your ass out there on a Tuesday on your day off. No fun. You don't get no overtime for watching extra film. You don't. Somebody doing it. Yeah, yeah. Ain't getting this job here. Because guess what? The moment you get to the league, Joe, the moment you got to the NBA, there was some seventh grader saying, you know what? I sure look good. I sure look good with the Celtics. I sure look good with Phoenix. I sure look good Atlanta. Ojo, your third year there was somebody in the eighth grade. Man, please. I'm trying to be a receiver for the Bengals.
29:34Joe Johnson:Hey, with a mouthful of goals.
29:37Shannon Sharpe:You can. You might be a receiver for the Bengals, but it's going to be on the other side. It damn sure ain't going to be in this spot. I'll let it be known. 32:52Shannon Sharpe:Lions and Jameer Gibbs agreed to a three year 67.5 million extension making them the highest paid running back in NFL history with 51 I think what he was 51.5 guaranteed Lions spending that cheese Gibbs 3 years 67.5 Hutchinson 4 years 180 Jack Campbell 4 years 81 Jerry Goff 4 years 212 Amon Ross St. Brown 4 years 120 Pene Sewell 4 years 112 Jamison Williams 3 years 80 Kirby Joseph 4 years 85 Alam McNeil 4 years 97 million
33:35Joe Johnson:hey this is their window right now this is their window they're not going to be able to keep all these people on that team not with the payroll looking like that
33:44Shannon Sharpe:you got probably back a two you probably got two more years two more Ocho you got to break this up without a Super Bowl you got to break it up you got to break it up anyway I'm just being honest with you you got to break it up anyway
33:59Joe Johnson:but go ahead Ocho No, I was just going to say, I told you Jameer Gibbs was obviously going to leapfrog B. John. But not only that, and we talked about it yesterday. You mentioned, what's my young boy named? Cure My Love? The Colts, man. No, the Colts. Oh, you talked about Taylor. Oh, yeah, Jonathan Taylor. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You see, he got paid this morning. Where he at? 22? I said it yesterday. I said it yesterday. I said, yeah, he up too. He up too. They gave him a little extension.
34:31Shannon Sharpe:How old is John DeTaylor? He a little older. He like 28. But, hey, the thing was, they didn't have to do anything with him because he still had two years left, but he had no more guaranteed. Oh, okay. But he said, hold on, bro. Y 'all see how many carries y 'all gave me these last three, two years? Boy, y 'all got to break me off something.
34:50Joe Johnson:Yeah, give me a little something.
34:51Shannon Sharpe:I don't know, he probably led the league in carries, isn't he?
34:53Joe Johnson:Only Derrick Henry had more. Derrick Henry. Mm-hmm.
34:57Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
34:58Joe Johnson:And he has to be paid based on the type of back he is. and how good he is right now. You can't have him. And based on the offense that he is, because guess what?
35:06Shannon Sharpe:He's getting the line shield of the damn carries.
35:08Joe Johnson:Yeah, and he's deserving of that. He's deserving of that. But listen, the way the pay grade is right now, the top three running backs in the league, obviously you have the same other bell cows that are really good, McCaffrey, Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley. And, I mean, listen, the torch is passed over to the young bulls now.
35:28Shannon Sharpe:I think there was a stretch there where the running back felt they weren't valued. And now all of a sudden, I think you got eight guys that make at least$14.5 million. You got three guys over$20 million. Saquon had that mythical. It was right there at$20.6. And then you get JT, you get Bijan, and you get Gibbs, all of them at$22 or plus. And then you got Christian McCaffrey right there up under that at$19. and you got a couple of you got James Cook is what about 16 and you got Derrick Henry and you got yeah so you got Brees Hall so now you got eight guys where the before there wasn't guys wasn't even touching that wasn't even the NFL wasn't even thinking about giving you no money if you were running back get your ass back in there and take this little bit of money and go and sit your ass down
36:19Joe Johnson:yeah but and then obviously the ones really getting paid that's really getting to the money really getting to that chicken and that mannion joe yeah we talk about these the elite these are the elite backs that can do more than just run down here we talk about they they can line up a receiver they can line up the slot they can line up outside i've man them yeah they they can they get it done in a multitude of ways not just running the ball they can impact the offense more way in in more ways than just running the ball being able to catch it being another receiver being another addition and impact player for your offense that they get you they get you the big bucks man this ain't christmas
36:55Shannon Sharpe:go ahead and get oh joe you know you're gonna pay him why you make them be a miss uh a week why you make them in ten days when you know you're gonna pay them just go ahead and give them the damn money
37:08Joe Johnson:hey do you think the owners they they get a they get a kick out of forcing players to wait you think they get a kicker they get a joy out of it i i don't know it's like being in control yeah yeah they do it all the time though they do it all the time it's like like it's like they enjoy it because you know you're gonna pay them you knew this was gonna happen at the end of last season you allow the entirety of the entire offseason going and you wait to get the training camp knowing that you guys have been in talks with the agent or whatnot and you got to pay why not have all this stuff done ahead of time but listen it's the nature of the business maybe that's where they always go about doing things because it's always been like this yeah i guess they just want to keep it like that now if it's a quarterback they don't play no games no no they taking care of the quarterback they not playing no games no they're not
37:53Shannon Sharpe:Baker Mayfield say they ain't taking care of me CJ Strybe say they ain't taking care of me either the kid in Carolina say they ain't taking care of me either yeah it's coming they gotta make some of these guys prove it man I mean damn we can't pay you got the show or something you right Joe because that number you see where that number going Joe that that number about to be north of 50 for any quarterback that's halfway decent. Yeah. It's going to be$30 million. Quarterback going to laugh at your face. $30 million? They hit you with that soldier boy. $30 million? Hey, I got my little foyer outside right now, boy.
38:38Shannon Sharpe:Put a bat in your hand. What you got doing, Joe? Throwing that ball here. Yeah. No, throwing the baseball, Joe. he doing that too huh he's soccer baseball and football you detroit pitcher turned down 75 million a year for five years joe what 75. he said i want to go to basically his agent scott boris said i want to go to the market and see what the marketer bear the market might turn down 75 he turned down 75 a year 75 a year five years that's what being
39:09Joe Johnson:reported yeah but hold on you see who his agent is yeah i know his agent is you know his age you You know, you know, Mr. Boris, he don't play now when it come to getting that money on. Yeah. Hey, them boys throwing that money around. That's what I'm saying.
39:23Shannon Sharpe:Hey, if I had a son, a young son now, hey, son, you can play football, but you're going to play baseball first. Yeah. Oh, yeah. You got to start early with that baseball, too, because you can't jump into that baseball in no 13, 14. It's over. It's too late. You know it's over. It's too late. I can't track that ball. They throw that 12-6 curveball. They throw that change up, that slider. He's like, what was that? Where the ball at? Swag the bat. Get the bat off your shoulder. You got the bat on your shoulder. Swag, son.
40:00Joe Johnson:Hey, you ever seen – I know the chat has probably seen it, the little clips of the little kids playing T-ball and they doing everything wrong. They hitting the ball. He hit the ball one time and he ran after the ball instead of running to the base. You ain't never seen it? It's a funny clip. Oh, man. Joe, it's so funny. Like little T-ball, man. Little kids. Some of them don't stop running. They hit the ball and keep running.
40:24Shannon Sharpe:They go to first, keep going. Stop. No, he go to second. Hey, he go to third. Just keep going. Hey, so funny, man. Make them tag you, son. Jonathan Taylor. The Colts agreed to a two-year$44 million extension worth up to$47 million with$39 million guaranteed. Since entering the NFL in 2020, Jonathan Taylor is the second most rushing yards in scrimmage touchdowns behind only Derrick Henry. Derrick Henry has 9 ,185 scrimmage yards, 86 touchdowns. Jonathan Taylor has 7 ,598 yards, 76 touchdowns. Josh Jacobs, 63-53, 69 touchdowns. down. What do you think the reason, Ocho? What do you think the reason is?
41:08Shannon Sharpe:Because for like a, there was like a decade window with nobody really trying to pay no running backs. Now all of a sudden I think we got eight of them that make at least 14 and a half and upwards a year. And we saw Bijan get his money. We just saw get his money. We saw Gibbs get his money. We saw all three guys get 22 plus, 22 to 22 plus in a matter of days. Whereas before, Zeke was the highest paid for a long time at$15 million and nobody approached that again.
41:45Joe Johnson:But you got to think about it. Look at the running backs that were in the NFL at the time. Now, I don't have a list in front of me. And listen, I'm sure some of the starters on all the 32 teams were really good at that time during their tenure, during that time around when Zeke was playing. But have we seen anything like Jameer Gibbs? No. The last thing I think I'd like to give was Chris Johnson. And with Chris Johnson playing, he was one of the highest paid. I think about Jamal Charles. I think about these home run hitting running backs that can change a game at the matter of one snap from anywhere on the field.
42:17Joe Johnson:Jonathan Taylor, he can change a game from anywhere on the field. Home run speed. So that plays a part. Now, some running backs, you're interchangeable. The value is not there because I can find someone else just like you. You ain't finna find another Jameer Gibbs. There's not another Jonathan Taylor out there right now. There's not another Saquon. So there's a small cream of the crop of running backs that are special. Now, Derrick Henry, he's a traditional IBAC, playing in a pass-happy system, but he's still different. He's different. And the team he plays on, it still fits him in his style of play and the way he runs.
43:00Joe Johnson:when they use them the goddamn right way.
43:03Shannon Sharpe:Man, listen. Hey, hey, hey. Y 'all know the running back devalue, bro. When you paying a damn quarterback $60,$70 million, man, please. I ain't paying you that money for you to sit here and hand it off to somebody for no 30 times. Man, please. So that's why. And if you're not a dual back now to where you can come out that backfield and catch that ball, hey, man.
43:24Joe Johnson:All them dudes you talking about, Ocho? Yeah, yeah. Oh, I'm sorry. I left B. John Robinson out too. Obviously, he just got paid. Yeah, not only in the run, but the boys who can't.
43:32Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Taylor, all of them have paid. But the thing is that, and see, a lot of that, they're using that against Lamar. They're like, Lamar, you want 70 million, but that guy behind you. I'm like, what they got to do with me? Hello. I appreciate it. I'm playing it back there.
43:59Shannon Sharpe:We work hand in hand. I need my money, though. Y 'all told me y 'all gonna take care of me. Take care of me. And I like big bills. Yeah. Hey, what'd you say, Joe? You like what? I like big bills. Yeah. Yes. I want them in big bills. Yes. Hey. Yeah, I want big bucks, no Emmys. You hear me? Hey, give me them old Woodrow Wilsons. They're low. That's$100 ,000 bill, Ocho. I mean, they're not in circulation. Give me a Solomon P. Chase. Yeah, yeah, give me a Madison. Madison? Who is Madison? A$5 ,000 bill. You think they got them for real? They do have them for real. Absolutely. I got some. You do? Damn.
44:45Shannon Sharpe:I used to collect money, Ocho.
44:50Joe Johnson:Okay. Hey, you know, I collect money now.
44:55Shannon Sharpe:i i i collect i collect money that they no longer print they still printing the money that you collect they still come they still uh they don't uh uh they don't uh uh print you know anything over a hundred dollars now but they used to they used to print 500 000 5 000 10 000 uh 100 000
45:16Joe Johnson:they only made like 700 000 you know for anybody that's that's a collector of money that was that was around and been able to collect like you have are you still are you allowed to use it
45:27Shannon Sharpe:but they'll only give you the denomination so it's not like they're more valuable so if you let's just say you got money that say like a five thousand ten thousand dollar bill obviously when they were printed where they were printed at so you might have a gold certificate or you might have a silver certificate that was 1928 or 1934 that would be more valuable but they're only gonna give you ten thousand they'll only give you the denomination what's on the value of the money
45:53Joe Johnson:Well, you know, I never heard that before. Man, let me Google this. Man,$5 ,000 bill, man.
45:57Shannon Sharpe:Let me see what that look like, man. You're going to go get you a couple of them? Hell no.
46:00Joe Johnson:Why not? I just want to see what it looked like, Joe. I've never heard of that. I thought everything stopped at the$100 bill. No, no, no.
46:07Shannon Sharpe:They do. But they didn't. They used to print that. They used to print that. And they had gold. So in order, if you had a gold certificate, it was redeemable in gold. So if you get in there, if I got$1 ,000 gold certificate, you would have to say, I want$1 ,000 worth of gold and they would have to redeem it. They would have to give you gold or you have civil certificates. Cause back then mints were all over. You had a Philly mint, you had a Kentucky mint, you had this mint over here, you had this mint over there.
46:36Joe Johnson:Hell sure do, boy. Oh, they do got it, boy.
46:40Shannon Sharpe:Hold on, you thought I was lying? You thought I just said this with my help?
46:43Joe Johnson:Nah, nah, I know you weren't lying. I'm just saying, I'm looking at it. Listen, US 5 ,000, 1934 Federal Reserve note.
46:50Shannon Sharpe:Oh, Joe, he just thought I was just making stuff up. No, no, I just want to see what it looked like, huh?
46:57Joe Johnson:I seen the$10 ,000. Yeah, yes.
46:59Shannon Sharpe:I started to see - Anybody that went to Binion's, they used to have a wall and they had$10 ,000 bill. I think they had like a million dollars in$10 ,000 bills. And it was in case. But, yeah, I used to – the only thing I hate, I had an opportunity to buy a brick, a gold brick, just like they got it at Fort Knox. And it was – Damn, and you didn't buy it. I didn't buy it, Joe. I didn't buy it. I didn't buy it. Hey, we're going to get a few of them in, man. No, you don't want it now because gold's higher than giraffe hoo-ha. So, you don't want it yet. Yeah, it is. Because back then, gold wasn't that high.
47:42My goal was probably a couple of hundred dollars an ounce.
47:46Shannon Sharpe:Now gold, it was over$3 ,000 an ounce. But I got a couple of Cougar and I got a couple of Natura, I got a Panda Gold coin. But like I said, I got, you know, I keep that stuff in the safety pocket box. I think I probably need to get rid of it because my kids, they don't care nothing about that stuff. Hey man, it sounds like you talking a foreign damn language when you just saying that. I mean, I got a Cougar, I got a, what the hell are you talking about?
48:11Joe Johnson:What's up, Ocho? I'm just saying, listen, I know right now, like Uncle explained, you know, gold bricks is really high right now. High as hoo-ha, but I can get you some bricks if you want to. All white bricks. Yeah, right now they be going for 23. Them white tan ones, them white tan bricks. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
48:29Shannon Sharpe:Yo, they say you to turn big rocks into little rocks with them. Yeah, they say you to bust rocks. Let me know what you need, bro. You take big rocks, they got them big on you, see them? Hey, hey, hey. Hey, if that stuff washed up on the shore and y 'all was there and it was 10 bricks, what y 'all gonna do with that 10 bricks? I would do like that. Walk on, bye.
48:52Joe Johnson:Hey, Joe. You say, how many washed up on the shore? About 10 bricks. Hey, hello? 9-1-1? Yeah, one brick just washed up on the shore. Damn!
49:05Shannon Sharpe:One brick just washed up on the shore. Hey, Joe. I don't want nothing. Now, Cash is a whole different animal. I ain't calling nobody. If three and a half million wash up on the shore, you just have that fishing. You just so happen to... Damn. Boy, I call you a three and a half million pound tuna.
49:30Man, please.
49:31Joe Johnson:Hey, Unc, you ain't going to tell nobody, but there will be signs, huh?
49:35Shannon Sharpe:There'll absolutely be signs that Shanna Sharp came into a little summer money. Hey, I been thinking about that. Cause I been seeing that when people be talking about some man, we found eight million in cash and called the authorities. Man, damn the authorities. I'm the authorities. I wish I might tell the authorities. They'll never know. Jeez, man.
49:56Joe Johnson:Hey, funny thing, God be blessing you. Yeah. And you turn to give me your blessing back. Hello.
50:02Shannon Sharpe:You want me to go against God. Oh man, that's what I'm saying. How can I go against God wishes? This man done blessed me. He put me out here at this time. He could have had me anywhere. He could have had me working out. He could have had me on an airplane. He could have had me anywhere in the world. He had me right here at this very moment. Yeah, for a reason. I was like, boy, look at God. Won't he do it? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, won't he? Yeah.
50:31Joe Johnson:He will. Hey, did y 'all play Mega Millions Powerball?
50:35Shannon Sharpe:We don't have it. 55:53Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. I even told you. Panthers great Luke Keekly is getting enshrined into the Hall of Fame on Saturday, and he's already making a case for his quarterback Cam Newton to join him. When Cam was on the field, he was the best player on the field. He was the biggest, most physical dominant person on the field. He's the biggest person on the field, and then he was dominant. He could run past guys. He could run through guys. He could run around guys. He could jump over guys. He could throw the ball anywhere on the field, and he was at his best. He was the best player on the field. Ocho Cam, he's a three-time Pro Bowler.
56:23Shannon Sharpe:He's a 2015 MVP. He's a 2015 Offensive Player of the Year, the 2015 Burt Bell Award, 2011 Pro Football Focus Offensive Rookie of the Year. He's a 2011 Rookie of the Year, 2015 PFWA MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, offensive rookie of the year, offensive player of the year. He's a one-time first-team All-Pro, but he's a three-time Pro Bowl player. As you can see on the screen, you can see his accolades.
56:58Joe Johnson:Yeah.
56:59Shannon Sharpe:If I'm not mistaken, I think Luke Keekly is the third, might be the second or third youngest player to get inducted into the Hall of Fame, which is saying something he got inducted. I think Gale Sayles was younger, and I think Butkus, was younger
57:18Joe Johnson:hey Luke was nice even though his career wasn't long he didn't have longevity but the time he did play Joe and Unk my goodness he gave him hell
57:27Shannon Sharpe:he gave him hell boy he'll thump he'll strike him
57:33Joe Johnson:and he undersized too Joe yeah man when you think about linebackers you think big He ain't carved up.
57:43Shannon Sharpe:He ain't built like Ray.
57:45Joe Johnson:Nah. Good boy. Yo, he ain't going to die.
57:53Shannon Sharpe:Okay.
57:55Joe Johnson:He coming to the party. Yes, sir. Sad line to sad line.
57:59Shannon Sharpe:He could drop in coverage. He could do it all. He was a really good player. And I'm not surprised that he got in because I thought him and Patrick Willis in the time that they would play, they were right there. They were the two best linebackers in the game. I know Navarro Bowman gets overlooked. He was another one that could thump. I played against a guy in Miami, and I don't know how many people remember him, but they had a guy named John Offerdahl, number 56.
58:28Joe Johnson:Hey, you remember John? Hey, Lewis Oliver was a safety back then. And Jarvis.
58:34Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, John Offadol, yeah. Now you talk about thump. But back then they didn't have nothing but thumpers. Ain't nobody dropping in no coverage. But I tell you what, don't you run no shallocross. Don't you run no ISO. Let that tight end lead up there if you want to.
58:53Joe Johnson:Yeah. Oh, John Offadol. Man, that joke, hey, that joke hit you so hard
58:56Shannon Sharpe:the top of your head, you peep out your ribs and thank you in jail, Ocho. Hey, you're there like turtle, turtle. Man, we had thumpers back there. Oh, you mentioned Lou and Jarvis. You need to ask him what I did to him in Berlin. What you did to him? Y 'all played the Dolphins in Berlin? Ask him about one-on-one. What you did to him, man? Cook.
59:20Joe Johnson:Cook. Hey, Terrell Bucket. Yes, he was on that. Cooked. It was gone? Cooked. T-Buck was there?
59:27Shannon Sharpe:Yes. Cooked everybody. Oh, T-Buck, man. Some was in the kitchen. And that's more of his sons cooking up a storm by no eye no cooking. Hey, you had a cookout and everybody was invited. Yes. I told him, don't bring nothing but your appetite. I'm going to feed all of you. What? I'm going to feed y 'all. I was down to do a nine on seven. And Mike said, go down there if you want to get some one on one. I'm like, all right. Hey, John say, let's get to work T. Ha! Yeah. Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah, yeah! Hey, you're getting the boys here, huh? Boy had more moves than a Las Vegas hooker. Boy, that couldn't do nothing with B.O.
1:00:18Shannon Sharpe:Chope.
1:00:21Joe Johnson:Hey, you know who else I forgot to tell y 'all, man? He told me to tell y 'all hello, man. oh uh al harris man i'll be watching this show oh yeah yeah yeah no yeah he the db coach in
1:00:33Shannon Sharpe:chicago yeah yeah yeah i call the comeback on al uh ocho and jump clean over his head

That was him. Him. Yeah. A video has gone viral of Justin Herbert and his fiancee, Madison Beer, looking like two lovebirds doing training camp.
1:01:48Shannon Sharpe:Okay, do we have the video? Oh, we got the video. Okay. Yeah. Oh.
1:01:54Joe Johnson:Oh, that's so cute. Hey, you know what's funny? I think a lot of people, they overreacting to it too long. If you think about it, this is after practice. You don't see all the other kids running on the field. You see the little girl run by? What you trying to say, man? No, I'm just saying it's when practice is over and everybody...
1:02:11Shannon Sharpe:Oh, we're going to cook it. after everything you already know what's gonna happen we get that love cafeteria or we get in those meeting rooms or we already got to yeah we are we gonna oh hey she's rubbing her fingers through his hair yeah yeah yeah you know he got that good that
1:02:29Joe Johnson:good luscious that good luscious uh come on man come on now
1:02:35Shannon Sharpe:they young that's a different type but oh you know goodwill that is what gonna happen when we play It's different now.
1:02:42Joe Johnson:Oh, with the family? The family, yeah, come on the field.
1:02:45Shannon Sharpe:But ain't nobody running their fingers through your hair now. That's what I'm talking about. No. The families were allowed to come and the kids be all on the field. And, you know, hey, you see all the time Ed kids was at the Super Bowl, on the Super Bowl, running on the field. And after practice, they come, you know, Lisa let them come and kids come on the field. Yeah, no, no, no, no, no. Chad, I don't want you all to get me wrong. No, that's been a part of it. But running the hand through the hair and picking people.
1:03:17Joe Johnson:Hey, looking like they having a little picnic out there, huh?
1:03:20Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, come on, man. Hell no. To each his own, though. To each his own. That worked for y 'all.
1:03:28Joe Johnson:I can't believe football season is back, man. I'm glad it's back.
1:03:33Shannon Sharpe:Hey, sir, let's go, Cowboy. But, hey, you see he got engaged. You see? Hey, the quarterback, hey, they're like, you know what? you know what it's going to settle this thing down because it gives maturity it gives that you know what i'm stable and you know advertising and sponsors and endorsers you know it seems i'm trustworthy i i know a guy that got married in the basketball that we didn't think we're gonna
1:03:59Joe Johnson:get married anytime soon didn't they oh cho oh yeah you know why he did uh but people call people He don't He don't had no choice but to be the face Who? If you go who you can hear He ain't got no choice but to be the face Listen Hey Joe somebody got in his ear Now listen Young bull down there in Philly He got one more year I'm telling you right now it's time for you You gonna be the man You the one We anointing you But this is some of the things that we need you to do We need you in a structured environment We need you to show some type of discipline in the way you live. Watch Ant-Man. Ant-Man about to be the face of the NBA.
1:04:42Shannon Sharpe:Give him your year. Two years. Talk. Hey, hey, hey, my boy Dak Prescott, he say, damn, I'll let him back outside. Yeah, yeah, Dak, you're in for to get on this shit. We're back outside. Hey, we're. Hey, Ocho, we back outside. We're finna get you that money on. We ain't finna be playing this shit, huh? Dak, I tried. Dak, I tried it, but hey, she wasn't there. She was playing. Hey, put all these stipulations on my. You can't put no stipulations on my money. I put stipulations on you.
1:05:10Joe Johnson:Yeah. Hey, the funny thing about it, too, we also need to pay attention. Chat, y 'all listen to this, too, real quick. You look at all the NFL players, the ones that are getting married, the ones that are getting engaged, and look at the luck that they're having behind them. And not luck. It's God's work. It's God's will. Just everything seems to be going right in their life, not just on the field but off the field as well so that is that that's a that's a a tall tale sign that all of us need to be paying attention to telltale telltale y 'all yeah that that's what i meant listen i'm talking to you and you and uh joe you and um you know we need to think about settling down and putting a putting a ring on them fingers and and jumping that i got a ring camera

1:06:21Joe Johnson:Y 'all scared. Y 'all ain't trying to do it. Hey, it's right around the corner. Hey, I ain't got, I'm already sitting down. Hey. You hear me? I'm already sitting down.
1:06:31Shannon Sharpe:If mama gonna cut Phoebe some grace, I need mama to do great grace like.
1:06:38Shannon Sharpe:Hey, you got it, Phil.
1:06:43Shannon Sharpe:Oh, man. Yeah. Look.
1:06:47Joe Johnson:Hey, so what you think?
1:06:49Shannon Sharpe:What I think about what? All of us getting married in 2027. Look, I want people to be, because you know what they're going to do. Man, that's why O.K. ain't got nobody. He can't be romantic in public. To each his own. I just, hey, if that works for them, who am I to say? But I would give me about 5 ,000 jokes. As soon as I see it, I'm writing jokes in my head.
1:07:24Shannon Sharpe:guess what I bet you got teammates that recreated that whole scene
1:07:29Joe Johnson:yeah they gonna be playing around redoing it in the locker room that's how we are but look I'm happy for the man
1:07:37Shannon Sharpe:the young man found his believe he found his soulmate you saw Josh
1:07:46Shannon Sharpe:no what's his Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen So he got married, had a kid. You know, Patrick Mahomes was early to the table. Married, three kids. Brady got married. Unfortunately, he ended up getting a divorce. But for the most part, if we go back and look at guys that have been the face of the league, they've been married. Yeah.
1:08:14Joe Johnson:It's like you have to be, too. sometimes guys got married
1:08:18Shannon Sharpe:they shouldn't have been married yeah and that happens a lot too you know you get you get a little lost in the sauce you get caught up in the moment you feeling good you playing good pipe down young fella pipe down turbo he just won't get them reps opportunity to come few and far between
1:08:47Shannon Sharpe:it's easier to be a chase or to be a puka when I know I'm going to get 160, 170 targets Justin Jefferson all of a sudden you ain't going to get about 40, 50 targets and you try to make everything and the problem that you run into in that situation Joe and Ocho is that you try to make every one of them count you try to make every one of them a house call every one of them need to be a first down and the next thing you know the ball's on the ground
1:09:15Joe Johnson:hey he is the number two though right don't start me to lie yeah if he's the number two Joe he gonna be straight if he the number two he's gonna be straight
1:09:26Shannon Sharpe:he ain't the number two right he said he ain't getting no reps he ain't getting no reps
1:09:33Joe Johnson:we look at this right quick yeah please I'm trying to you know I don't want to say nothing and offend anyone that's part of that receiving core up there but I know Malik is number one.
1:09:46Shannon Sharpe:He said this is a challenging being part of this deep group. Malachi Fields. They got OBJ, Malik Neighbors, Malachi Field, Juju, Darius Slayton, Calvin Austin III, Jalen Hyatt, Darnell Mooney, Broxton Barrios. Whoa.
1:10:09Joe Johnson:Hold on. They got some boys over there that can play now. Yeah. Darnell Mooney? Yeah. He can play. Yeah, he can go. Yeah, he was in the A last year. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. Now you – I got –
1:10:23Shannon Sharpe:Calvin Austin III, remember he came from Pittsburgh, Ocho.
1:10:27Joe Johnson:Yeah, yeah, okay. Now it makes more sense. Now I understand what he's saying.
1:10:31Shannon Sharpe:Jalen Hyatt, although he had that great – you know, came out of Tennessee, he hadn't quite lived up to a level of expectation that the Giants, when they selected him in the first round. He need to put – the rubber need to meet the road this year. Yeah.
1:10:48Joe Johnson:Yeah. And you know who else was really nice that was with New York last year? Little Wondell Wright. Wondell Robinson. Wondell Wright. He and Tennessee. He went to Tennessee. He over there with Cam. They got a – hey, listen, they got a nice little trio over there too now. Yeah. Calvary Ridley back.
1:11:03Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
1:11:04Joe Johnson:What's Young Bull? Young Bull from Ohio State. Tate. Tate. Cardinal Tate. Hey. Hey. Hey, boy, I haven't seen the clips of him.
1:11:13Shannon Sharpe:That boy been cutting up, ain't it, man?
1:11:15Joe Johnson:And he cutting up something nasty, boy.
1:11:19Shannon Sharpe:So, look, I understand. Because in our mind, we feel we can still do it if we got the same level of opportunities that we had when we were younger. And we just don't get those opportunities. And so people say, oh, man, he ain't the same. Well, I don't get the same opportunities. So, therefore, I can't be the same. Yeah.
1:11:38Joe Johnson:Yeah. So. I get it now though Slayton is probably the number two And the number three would probably be Darnell Mooney
1:11:47Shannon Sharpe:I understand he got married Congratulations to him and his beautiful wife Anna Hall She's a Heptathlon Beautiful ceremony Beautiful couple It's time now You got everything settled now Got your family Somebody come home too hey, hey, it's time to make it happen now. It's time to make it happen. Now, hey, they're only going to put up with so much now. The production, production's got to be there, Ocho. Joe, we know that. Oh, yeah. Production business.
