7:17Chad Johnson:Keep plugging away. That's all I'm going to do. Hey, I'll tell you what. Let's keep heading in the right trajectory. Let's see what this thing can get to.
7:26Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, yeah, man. And we can't thank you enough, Joe, because like I said, we're looking for a basketball, somebody that can fill in. And we had Gil the first year, and then JR, and then all of a sudden we didn't have anybody. and thanks to you liking some of our videos and things like that. Don't think I ain't going to jump on your ass when I see you, huh? Hey, hey, I'm trying to be cool, bro. Show ain't really got started yet. I just want to make sure you know, Joe, we done won two awards, and part of those awards is because you coming on here, man, and I appreciate you. I'm showing you gratitude, but that don't mean nothing. That's two separate things. Thank you for what you've done for us, but I'm still going to beat your ass. Hey, if I don't do nothing else, I'm going to make it my business, partner.
8:59Chad Johnson:I'm going to make it my business to see about you. I promise you. I promise you. Hey, Chad, I promise y 'all I tell you what. Mean demonstration. He already know how it's going. Okay, I tell you what. I'm going to email you. I'm going to email you. Because I want to make sure we keep it professional.
9:17Shannon Sharpe:All right.
9:17Chad Johnson:All right. Whatever.
9:19Shannon Sharpe:Had a great conversation with Justin Gaethje earlier. We'll air that show. We'll air that at the end of the show. But first, but first, the NBA said there will be no additional sanction on Victor Wimbanyama for his first quarter shove on Jalen Brunson in game three. The play is not being upgraded to a flagrant foul, meaning Wemby remains on two flagrant foul points this postseason. Joe, did you think it was the right call, and did you think it would get upgraded?
9:47Chad Johnson:No, I didn't think it would get upgraded. Yeah, I thought it was the right call. Man, listen, hey, ref ain't going to call every damn thing, man. You know, I mean, I feel that, you know, this series has been a bit aggressive, especially towards Wemby. Hell, there's only so much he going to take, bro, before he give you a little response. You know what I mean? Yeah. Like, I ain't think – I'm glad they didn't upgrade it to a flagrant or none of that. Man, I just think it's two competitors competing, bro. Everybody want to win. Hey, you got to do what you got to do. You know what I mean? Yeah. Ocho, hey, I'm glad the NBA didn't take no different measure.
10:26Chad Johnson:Yeah, upgraded. I'm glad they didn't. So let's continue.
10:30Shannon Sharpe:you because remember earlier in the minnesota game joe he got the flagrant too for the elbow yeah yeah yeah yeah so and uh i don't know what is it four or five if you get four or five flagrants you miss a game yeah i don't think anybody wants i don't see because that's you're
10:44Chad Johnson:going to impact the series yeah even though it impacted the series when he was out of the game
10:48Shannon Sharpe:against minnesota minnesota won that game so you don't want to do that and definitely not the finals because you normally err on the side of caution unless there's an egregiousness to it unless Unless you're a repeat offender. And the people that way, they suspended Draymond. Man, Draymond had them been warned and warned and warned about getting offending. At some point in time, you got to draw the line. Now, I don't want to draw the line in the NBA Finals, but you keep doing this in the NBA Finals. So you don't leave me a choice but to do something like this. I'm not surprised either, Joe.
11:23Shannon Sharpe:Brunson did take offense to it. I'm not so sure. everybody in MSG that saw it took offense to it and then when Grunson went to him and put his fag in his face, Wimby started smiling. You remember him saying, yeah, you like that, huh? You like that. Oh, okay. Just making sure I had your attention. I wasn't sure I had your attention yet, but I see.
11:43Chad Johnson:I got it now, yes, sir. Hey, Wimby sitting back saying, yeah, I know how this series is going to be. I know how the playoffs is now. I understand how physical it is. Listen, I'm going to fight back now. Yeah, what y 'all want me to do? Y 'all want me to just keep taking all this abuse? No, I'm going to fight back. You must have learned that with the monks, huh? You know, I ain't never seen the monks really fighting amongst each other.
12:07Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Hey, the problem that you're running to with his Bible, they say turn the other cheek. Well, I ain't got but two. After you slap both of them, I got the five back on your ass. So I got to let you know that because you keep – because, see, a lot of times if you allow people to keep doing something, they're going to keep doing it.
12:24Chad Johnson:Yep.
12:26Shannon Sharpe:More time than not, people won't naturally stop just effing with you and say, you know what? I think he or she has had enough. You know what? I'm not going to do that today. You know what? You sometimes you got to take matter into your own hand. You don't want to have to do that. Right. But in order to keep people from, hey, you keep what we used to call it growing up, picking. Oh, you keep picking on it. They call it bullying. Now we used to call it picking.
12:49Chad Johnson:Yeah.
12:50Shannon Sharpe:Oh, you keep picking. Okay. You keep jugging. Yeah. You will get exactly what you're looking for. I don't know what it is you're looking for, but you're going to get it.
12:58Chad Johnson:Yeah.
12:59Shannon Sharpe:And women say, you know what? I know my modernism and I'm French and y 'all already think foreigners are soft. Right. So y 'all keep playing with me. Y 'all think I'm something y 'all got for Christmas. It's all you play with. And here it is, June. Y 'all still play. Who played with the same damn toy that you got in December that you played with in June? And women say, y 'all still playing with me. Okay. Don't worry about it. Hold it. Hold it's elbow. and told you about to try to set that hard pick on me.
13:28Chad Johnson:That's exactly how it was. Ayo's so funny, bro. Hey, but I tell you what, he ain't got no more chance to do no more of that, fella. Who know? They going to be on him because you know why? You know the only people who complaining? The Knicks fans.
13:42Shannon Sharpe:Yes.
13:42Chad Johnson:Knicks fans are only going to complain about that play.
13:45Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.

13:45Chad Johnson:Yeah, hey, hey, they want something to be done about it.
13:48Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
13:49Chad Johnson:Yeah, so they going to be watching him now. He ain't got no more demonstrative justice the way he's mushing people and putting out now. Those folks going to be on him now, Ojo. They are. You're right.
14:00Shannon Sharpe:Former Knicks guard, Stephon Marbury, sent a warning shot to Wimby for his shove on Brunson. Let's take a listen to what Marbury had to say. Let me give you all some food for thought. Okay? I'll tell you something about Wimby. Wimby is an international player. Okay? They play dirty overseas, just so you know. we're not used to playing dirty in america the way how wimby just now threw jalen brunson now if i'm watching film and i see wimby throw somebody on my team if he throws somebody like that the next game i'm gonna pop him in his i'm gonna pop him in this rib cage so hard with my elbow that he's gonna fall and drop to the ground and he's gonna wish he never put his hands on me okay so next game i guarantee you after y 'all watch that film what he did to jaylen brunson you better know that whoever whenever he get on a basketball court you better make sure you put you better put you better put that knife in his neck all right that's what it said that's where it's at you see what he did when he came in he said he was gonna come in he was gonna win game two he did exactly what he was supposed to do all right so make sure y 'all take note and next game you make sure you bring that same energy all right watch this play this

18:39Chad Johnson:Hey. Hey, Joey, it was a bit egregious. It was a bit egregious. It's because when they slow it down and they keep replaying it, you keep watching it in slow motion. But I'm going to tell you all something. Steph Wright, he's absolutely right. Now, they may not do nothing early in the game because the refs going to be watching, but somebody going to give his ass a hard foul tomorrow. That's just what it is, bro. You know, because I keep seeing the play all day, and I know they steady running it probably in New York, and I think, you know, those players are definitely going to have Jalen Brunson back.
19:14Chad Johnson:Somebody going to hard foul him for sure. Oh, yeah, for sure. You got to.
19:18Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. And that's the way it should be because I know in the NFL, you did something to one of our guys. We're going to get you back. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're going to get you back. That's how I happen. And the thing is, we're going to make it look – it's going to look like a football play. Yeah, yeah. Because football is physical assault. That's all football is, guys. Yeah, yeah. You know what I'm saying? But you want to feel, and they can't give you an issue or incitation. They can't arrest you for what you can do to somebody on the damn field.
19:48Chad Johnson:Yeah.
19:49Shannon Sharpe:So you best believe. Boy, if we saw that, and if it was a team that we – because you can't catch everything. You know, sometimes guys will come back and tell you. sometimes they don't. But if that let's just say that's somebody with that out of vision and somebody had done something to that oh yeah we got to get you. Oh we got to get you. Just so you know you gonna get got. That's how it go though. It should.
20:13Chad Johnson:The hell?
20:14Shannon Sharpe:You think you gonna get me and I ain't gonna get your ass back? Or I'm gonna get somebody back. What was that for? Hey your boy got my guy. Yeah.
20:22Chad Johnson:Hey Ocho you learned that early on the playground. Yeah. Playing at school, playing with your homie. Yeah. If man foul you like that, oh boy, you got to get that boy back. Hey, listen, if you don't get him, I'm going to get him for you.
20:35Shannon Sharpe:It's hard for me to believe that just international players are dirty. When we got guys like Bill Lambert and Dylan Brooks and some of the things that Draymond and some of those guys have done. It's just hard for me to believe that it's just international players. Hold on, hold on. There have been some things that the American born players have done some bulljive too.
20:54Chad Johnson:Oh yeah, no, no, no. Everybody got a little dirtiness in them. We got it in us, but them foreigners, they kind of got it in a different way. They sneaky though. Yeah, yeah, they sneaky and then they'll try to help you up after they do it like they ain't trying to do it on purpose. Like, hold on, boy, I know you just did that on purpose. What you mean you trying to help me up? You know what I mean? That's what he talking about. They do little slick stuff and they act like they ain't doing it and be nice out there. Oh, you okay? You with this? Man, get up off me, bro.
21:17Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. kick his hand get out of here man i don't want no help no you can't help me up let my teammates right but yep look wimby wimby sent a message earlier wimby is the leader of that team he's only 22 years of age but he's the leader of the team he sent the message guys this is how we're playing tonight the first two games they've been out there have been more physical than us and we've been complaining and looking at the officials and saying what let's just play basketball ball. Let's match their intensity, their physicality. We can be as physical as you want it to be. We'll let the officials decide who's gone too far.
22:01Shannon Sharpe:I'm going to take it where it needs to go. I understand that we can't go down 0-3 and expect to win this series. We've got ourselves a series right now. We've given ourselves a chance, Joe. Ocho, get game four. Now we go back to San Antonio. We tie. You're probably not going going back to San Antonio, you lose game three. Is it just being real? Yeah, yeah. You're probably right.
22:22Chad Johnson:You're probably right.
22:24Shannon Sharpe:What you thinking, Ocho? You're right. You're right. I mean, listen, the song said everybody's watching Wimby. Everybody watching him. And we understand how teams have to play to try to nullify him and make him non-effective in games, offensively and defensively. Put a body on him. Try to frustrate him. And you do some of these things. and obviously I don't think he's a dirty player, but still their style of playing what they do throughout a game, he still has that in him. I don't care if he went and visited Jesus. If it's in you, it's in you, Joe, and it's going to come out in the right circumstance.
23:04And at times in these games, you get to see a little bit of that.
23:10Chad Johnson:Man, I think the Spurs really, really feel that a better team. I think the Spurs really feel like they should be up in this series.
23:18Shannon Sharpe:I agree.
23:19Chad Johnson:And maybe they should due to, you know, some lackluster mistakes down the stretch from games one and two that I think they've learned from. Understanding if they keep their turnovers down, take care of the ball, value each possession, force feed. Look, a lot of those buckets he got easy, bro, just throwing it over the top when you got that low man down there trying to help. What the hell that low man going to do if I throw that ball by the rim? Because once he raises his hand, he's right there at the rim. That's what I'm saying. So understanding that and Wimby, you know, forcing his way down, you know, toward the paint to where he can get easy basketball, not only easy basketball, I just think, you know, when he plays with force, like he makes the game a lot easier for those guys around him, which ultimately makes them a much, much better team.
24:05Chad Johnson:You know what I mean? Like I don't like to see him start off on the perimeter, wind the guys up, getting into his size up. I don't like to see him start the game like that, Ocho. I think, and if you watch the tape, and obviously from the things that I've heard him say, you know, he knows. He has to start low and work his way out. So, I look, hey, hey, I look forward to the Knicks having a carbon copy of Game 3. I look forward to bringing it to Game 4. And, man, listen, going back to San Antonio tied 2-2, man, please. Everybody narrative who's been on here, all y 'all narratives gonna change. Yeah.
24:43Yeah.
24:44Shannon Sharpe:Like Tupac said, I ain't a killer, but don't push me. Hello. Wimby said, y 'all look at me, and I'm 7 '5", and, you know, I'm smiling, and I'm so happy-go-lucky, so nonchalant. But y 'all take my kindness for weakness, and most people do. Somebody that smiles a lot, oh, he's soft. And before you know it, hey, everybody got a breaking point. Some people, it's not very far. And some people, you got to push and push and push and push and push, and then when they go, they're like, I've never seen him like that. Where you've never pushed him to that point. You've never pushed her to that point. And so when you push that person to that point, okay, that's what you got.
25:24Yeah, absolutely right.
25:26Shannon Sharpe:You got him to a place that he or she's never been. So you got a result that you've never seen from him or her. It's not that complicated. It's not that complicated. When you're growing up, my grandma used to say all the time, son, don't make me hurt you. don't push me to that point son don't get me there and so hey leave it alone whatever you were doing hey she hadn't told you because they didn't do a whole lot of talking them old people back then they do that repeating like sit down what did I tell you didn't I tell you to sit down one two I don't even know my grandma and grandfather knew oh I was going to say they gave you a countdown?
26:11No, I'm saying that's what people do now. They do all that counting. They gave you a look. I'm going to put you in time up. I got that look from grandma. Boy, in the grocery store, mind you, when me in church and she in the choir, she can't get to me playing around in that pew. She can't get to me. It was a look. Hey, the whole choir swaying left to right in rhythm. She the only one they moved, just looking dead at me. Right. You already know what time it is. Hey, she nod the head. All right. Don't make me come down there.
26:46Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Yeah. And so that's what I'm saying. You can't keep antagonizing the person. Oh, oh, he's soft. Because you know, excuse me, excuse me, Chad. Oh, Joe, you know, we play. We know, oh, oh, he's soft. We can do, we can take advantage of him. And so, you know, they push you in the back and they do all kind of things. Because I'm telling you, once somebody find out, and it's like this in life, if somebody find out they can take advantage of you, they're going to try. Hey, come on now. In football, you let somebody push you in the back and you don't do anything back.
27:18Chad Johnson:Yep.
27:18Shannon Sharpe:Let somebody do something to you and you don't do anything back. Guess what? Because everything is being recorded.
27:24Chad Johnson:Yeah.
27:24Shannon Sharpe:They watching that too, see? This is the type of player he'll.
27:27Chad Johnson:Mm-hmm.
27:28Shannon Sharpe:Okay. Y 'all take this for some. Okay, I got something. Don't worry. Don't worry. don't worry about it don't worry about it and then bro it ain't that serious out here we all try to make a living well I'm trying to end your living I ain't trying to let you make no more living you didn't care nothing about me now all of a sudden you want me to care about you you got a wife and you got kids you got parents oh I didn't have none of that where the hell I come from a plant hell I got parents too I got kids too I ain't trying to hear none of that. You play, hey, listen. Thank you, Ocho. I ain't trying to hear none of that.
28:06Hey, Joe, you play stupid games, you're going to win stupid prizes. Hello. Hello.
28:11Chad Johnson:Hey, and my get back may be a little more than what you did to me. You can tell me how to get you back. Yeah.
28:20Shannon Sharpe:You should have just left me alone. There you go. If you leave me alone, hey, you ain't got to worry about it. We're going to play the game. Because I feel we can play the game. We can be as physical as we need to. But when you start all that funny business, now you tell me that's what we're on today. All bets off. Okay, well, I got a little extra time. I can be on that time too. You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? I got a little extra time on my head. I ain't got to be somewhere until, okay. Yeah, Joey, I'm trying to tell you, huh? What you trying to tell, Joey? Joey, you got on the watch?
28:54Chad Johnson:Yeah, I got on the watch. Okay, okay, I just want to make sure. Because whatever type of time you're on, I'm on the same time, man. Damn, Joe. Joe, I'll be up there.
29:02Shannon Sharpe:Oh, Joe feeling some type of way about this, Joe. Damn. I ain't going like this. I'm back in Miami right now. I'm feeling like kind of... I flew to Atlanta for one reason. The one reason was to see Joe. I was there for 17 hours. Boy, I ain't seen Joe once. What? Like, I'm feeling some type of way. And I'm like, I'm on that right now.
29:21Chad Johnson:Well, be on it then. Oh, Joe, I'm on it. I'm going to be on it. I'm going to be on it like a Venus flytrap. You hear me? However you want to do this party. You know how the Venus fly track? You know I had clothes on the fly real quick? When I see him, I'm going to close on him quick. Quick. I'm going to fold his little ass up like a lawn chair. I'm telling you. I got something for you, boy. Every Sunday, the defense had a game plan. You hear me? They had a game plan that said they were going to do this and they were going to do that. But when I got out there between them lines, boy, it wasn't nothing.
29:53It was a blur. It's going to be the same thing with you. Okay. Okay. Okay. Yeah.
29:58Shannon Sharpe:Okay. The thing, yeah, well, look, it's got to be somebody that, if I'm the Knicks, that you want to get back, it's got to be somebody that if you lose, you ain't going to be missing a lot. You don't want it to be Josh Hart. You don't want it to be Mikael Bridges. You don't want it to be Kat or OG. You know what I'm saying? Hey, who, who, hey, hey, you got one job.
30:21Chad Johnson:I actually think it's going to be one of them. It's just going to be a good hard foul. It ain't gonna be egregious to the point they gonna throw him out, but they gonna get him real good. You know? So they get him a flag or what?
30:33Shannon Sharpe:They won't get him a flag or two-five. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
30:35Chad Johnson:The way he sit down there on that floor and think about it for a minute. You just hit one of them. Yeah, yeah.
30:41Shannon Sharpe:Hey, think about the error of your ways. You know, you made an error two days ago. So we just reminding you to make sure don't let that happen again. Man, yeah. 34:01Shannon Sharpe:After the game, many videos dropped of the fans beating up anyone wearing Spurs jerseys in Manhattan to the point that we can't even show those videos because YouTube would take down our stream. But what we can show is how Spurs fans literally had to hide behind the police to be protected from a mob of angry Nick fans. Let's take a look at this, guys.
34:37Chad Johnson:That's pathetic. It is, bro. It is. I don't even know if I would actually really call them fans. Yeah, them big hooligans. Yeah, yeah, they trying to get some clicks. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Come on, man. Really? Come on.
34:52Shannon Sharpe:Really? Because y 'all lost. So let me get this straight. So all the time that y 'all went on the road, because they hadn't lost a road game and God knows when. So what if somebody was doing that to y 'all fans?
35:03Chad Johnson:Right. Right.
35:05Shannon Sharpe:Boy, y 'all, see, y 'all just can't. It's just not well enough. So all y 'all want to do is just win, win, win. When you lose, you can't handle losing. so this is the way you guys act
35:19Chad Johnson:that's why I told y 'all gotta have a national guard out there win or lose they gonna test something up yeah it's hard it's disgusting it's not a good look obviously the Knicks are playing well the Knicks are in the finals and the fans need to be an extension of the team and doing what they've done out there on the street is not an extension and a good showing and representation of being just not a Knicks fan, but New York in general, the people in general. So, I mean, they got to fix that. They got to fix that. Win, lose, or draw. You got to keep an even mind.
35:58Shannon Sharpe:Ben Stiller tweeted, being a Knicks fan doesn't mean being disrespectful to Spurs fans in any way. We get caught up during the game, but we got to show respect to our fellow humans, Jamal Carpenter. I got so much love for Knicks fans. But if I'm seeing Spurs fans being attacked just because of the jersey they're wearing, that's whack. It absolutely is. Now, when somebody see somebody do something, they open you up. Now, why would you have this weapon on you? You go into a game. Why are you attacking a guy because he gets jersey on? His team won. Your team lost. Okay. You've been celebrating. It's been damn near two months since you felt this.
36:36Shannon Sharpe:what you felt last night, all the teams that you have played, this is what they felt. And maybe it happened and it didn't get the coverage that this has. But I don't remember anybody attacking Knicks fans when they win and they're all in the street and they take it over everybody's buildings. They're causing people to lose their season tickets. They're having people being removed and they bought courtside tickets and they're getting moved five, six, seven rows back. And like I said, they call themselves Knicks fans, but they're hoodlums. And you behave like this. It's unacceptable.
37:16Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, I'm with you. It's unacceptable. But, you know, you look at the situation when you used to beat your brother back. When you used to beat your brother as a kid, you go on there. When you win, you act a fool. You act a fool. Yes. Hey, hey, the Knicks fans, they lost. I don't know what the Spurs fans were out there doing. Were they outside gloating or what? I don't know. But it didn't deserve it. Yeah.
37:40Shannon Sharpe:So what was Nick fans? All them games when they was in Philly. All those games when they was in Cleveland. All those games when they was in Atlanta. What were they doing? You know they were gloating. You already know. Yeah. Nick's. Nick's.
37:54Chad Johnson:Yeah.
37:54Shannon Sharpe:Nick's, baby. Brunson. Can't call it. Now you catch this L. now all of a sudden you want to swing on folks. Are you making them take the jersey off? When you're behaving this manner, this is how I feel. When you behave in this manner, whatever somebody does to you, they have my blessing. I'm all for it. If somebody hits you over the head with a crowbar, if somebody opens your ass up, literally, no pause if somebody if you need a buck 50 you deserve it leave people alone I don't know when and it's been like this but I'm just trying to figure out why must we put our hands on somebody when we lose or things don't go our way leave people alone it is a game you didn't play and y 'all bother these people people gotta hide behind the police see that's why that's why i don't even go out that's why a lot of times i don't go out guys
39:09Chad Johnson:well listen listen this you understanding the environment you're gonna be in being in new york and understanding what we talk about the knicks winning and how those people were gonna act man look it's really not that surprising to me i'm gonna be honest with you i ain't saying is right, but it's not that surprising to me. They catch the right one. Yeah. Oh, yeah. On the wrong day. Yeah. On the right day.
39:34Shannon Sharpe:And then what happens? Then what happens? Everybody's like, well, this is not basketball. This is not... You didn't say nothing when they were attacking them fans.
39:42Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah.
39:44Shannon Sharpe:Because, you know, most, and humans are animals, they have a mob mentality. If one dog starts to attack, more times than not, if there are multiple dogs, they'll also join in to practice. That's how people are. Oh, well, let me get a piece. Let me get a lick. I've always wanted to do something like this. Man, leave people alone. I get it. Nobody likes to lose. Nobody likes to lose. I get it. It is not a great feeling. But you attacking the fact that you didn't play, they didn't play. But somehow you feel it's okay to put your hands on people. Me personally, I never understood that. I'm like, look, hey, have fun.
40:28Shannon Sharpe:Hey, I get it. I never understood when you win and you pull it burning cars. So what happens when, okay, you won that night. So what happens when the euphoria is over and you wake up the next morning? And your car burned up. Damn. That's my car. I flipped over my ish.
40:47Shannon Sharpe:This is my business. I burst out all the windows. I'm just I'm confused Joe I really am Ocho I really am
40:57Chad Johnson:somebody bagging like that man
41:00Shannon Sharpe:yeah and they think it's cool they think it's cute yeah they do that's why
41:03Chad Johnson:they recording and they gonna make sure they have the video for us so they can upload so they can get them some views they can get them some clicks some like we're in a different time okay Ocho it is it is it is sad yeah it is it's real sad but we're in a different time to where everybody's looking to go viral bro and they would do anything to get a viral clip. They're willing to do anything. So snatching jerseys off of Spurs fans, beating them up, yeah, they know that type of stuff going to go viral. Hey, technology, social media, camera phones, just in general, it's become a gift and a curse.
41:42It's become a gift and a curse. People are trying to monetize on everything because there's so many different avenues and ways to make money. trying to take advantage of everything they can.
41:53Shannon Sharpe:But you do realize, guys, everybody is not meant to be famous. Everybody can't be a professional athlete. Everybody can't be a doctor. Everybody can't be a lawyer. Everybody is not to be famous where you need security or you walk down the street and everybody knows who you are. You do realize that, right? I think everybody knows about 15 minutes. everybody ain't meant to get 15. And now you have 15, they'll do nothing for you. Get you effed up, you get the wrong one. Hello. And then, you know, your people... Well, he was a good kid. No, he wasn't. He put his hands on somebody. He should have left them alone.
42:33Chad Johnson:There you go. There you go.
42:34Shannon Sharpe:He or she was doing something they didn't have no business doing. Right. Leave people alone. Leave people's stuff alone. Don't be stealing. Somebody catch you stealing their car, they put that thing on you, don't be mad. You hear me? Don't be talking about, well, he didn't have to do that. You're right. He didn't have to do that. Cause and effect.
42:56Chad Johnson:Hey, man.
42:57Shannon Sharpe:What caused this action? For every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction. What caused this person to do what they did? It ain't nothing. It's just material stuff. It's my material. He must have thought it was more than that because he wanted it. He or she wanted it.
43:12Chad Johnson:Right, right.
43:13Shannon Sharpe:I love how people tell me, well, it ain't mean nothing. It's just, what's the little car? Mine. Little old piece of car. It's my little piece of car that I paid my little hard old piece of money for. That's it. And I don't want nobody effing with it. Right, right. Same thing in my house. It's a shack. We didn't have much. Probably wasn't going to get enough of some JCPenney catalogs and a phone book. But that was ours.
43:40Chad Johnson:Yep.
43:41Shannon Sharpe:That was ours. But come on, come on. People that live in New York, I'm not going to even say you're New York fans. People in New York, cut this foolishness out. This is unnecessary. It's unnecessary. Thank you, Ben Stiller. Thank you, Jamal Crawford, for speaking out against this. This is unnecessary. Totally uncalled for. Yeah. I don't, I don't, I don't. And I know me. That's a lot of times why I don't like to go to the game. The team I'm rooting for, they lose, I'm mad. And what do you do, Ocho? You see somebody with my team won, your team lost. Yeah! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what I'm saying?
44:26Shannon Sharpe:You know how we get, Ocho. It ain't good enough. Yeah, we won, we won.
44:31Chad Johnson:I got to get all up in your face. Yeah, baby. Hey, hey, that's what I'm saying. We don't know if them Spurs fans are doing that. If they started doing that, and then that's when them nigga fans got on them. You know what I mean? So it could be a cause and effect. You know what I mean? You never know, bro. I ain't going to get nobody's face.
44:50Shannon Sharpe:I'll be like, yeah, baby, we're back. The alien has landed. Where's Batman when you need him? Be afraid of Wimby. Be afraid of the alien. Gotham City has been taken over by an alien. You know what I mean? I ain't clever with it. I already got this thing rehearsed when Wimby do what he does to get him going. Man, no, ain't no shut up. Wimby. Touchdown. But, uh... Man, look here, man. Like I said, and look, I would never, I wouldn't let my family go to a Raiders game when it was in the Coliseum or when it was open. Back then? That's absolutely. Hey, back then? Coliseum? Black hole? It's a no way.
45:34Shannon Sharpe:It's a no way.
45:35Chad Johnson:Listen, did you hear it on the last dance? Jordan say he didn't let his kids come to Utah for the game, what was it, five and six. It was that bad? He wouldn't let them come. It was that bad? Yeah, because of how hostile it was. It was an environment. Hey, man, you better know where you playing at.
45:52Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
45:53Chad Johnson:Yeah.
45:54Shannon Sharpe:See, Oakland was a rock. They're not a vision. We're rival. Most video shows people minding their own business, trying to walk home before being swarmed. You know that mentality, man. The one thing that we do know, animals, they prey on the old and the weak. That was the first thing to get gobbled up on the Serengeti. Especially when you're in a group. You're looking at somebody, first of all, you're looking at somebody with a Spurs jersey on. He just come from the game. What you know, two things you know for certain. He got a Spurs jersey on. One thing I know absolutely for certain. He ain't got no weapon on him.
46:36Shannon Sharpe:Oh, no. He ain't got no weapon on him. Nah. That's what I do know. If he came from the game, he got a Spurs game on. He walking out the street, he ain't got no weapon. Because he couldn't get in the game.
46:46Chad Johnson:Not in New York any damn way.
46:48Shannon Sharpe:Nope.
46:51Chad Johnson:No, sir.
46:53Shannon Sharpe:But I've always been in the mindset, I mind my business. Walk down the street, throw up my hand, keep it going. Obviously, as I became more famous in people, I acknowledge them, and I keep going. I ain't bothering nobody because I don't want nobody bothering me. That's how I am. I mean, my grandma used to always say, boy, hey, mind your business. Hey, I got 24 hours in a day. I spent 12 hours minding my business. I spent 12 hours staying out of other folks' business.
47:21Chad Johnson:Right.
47:22Shannon Sharpe:I ain't got no time.
47:23Chad Johnson:Yeah.
47:24Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. I ain't got no time. But this is some bulljive. I mean, just thinking about it. I ain't knowing anything about this because obviously I had to work day today was taping club Shea Shea was out at the Broncos practice, talking to Vijay, the defensive coordinator, and talking to Sean. So I'm not privy to what's going on, so I don't really know what's going on, what happened last night or anything that happened today. I did see the young man in Texas that stabbed that kid that ended up – he ended up getting 35 years. He's eligible for role and half. Damn. I mean, we're not going to go there Because I don't think anybody that looks like us surprised of the sentence that he got.
48:06Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Okay. Okay. Dylan Harper's sister reportedly threatened to steal his dogs if the Spurs lost game three against the Knicks. According to him, she said, if you lose this game, I'm going to go to San Antonio and take your dogs. She loves dogs. I love my dogs. I'm playing hard as I can. Did you ever get motivated in an unconventional way, Ocho?
48:32Chad Johnson:They ever get motivated in an unconventional way.
48:35Shannon Sharpe:Your family member come to say they come to steal your dogs. Yeah, that's very unconventional.
48:40Chad Johnson:I mean, I ain't got nothing off back that really, that jump out. I'm trying to think, right? But yeah, that is. His sister say she come to steal his dogs. Go steal his dog. He love his dog.
48:56Shannon Sharpe:Because, hey, they told me they come to steal my boys. All right. Hey, y 'all, somebody got to wear a haircut today. You got to wear a haircut today. Hey, that's a good one. I mean, being motivated in an unconventional way.
49:11Chad Johnson:I think, hey, listen, I think Dylan Harper motivated in a way because he from up north. He from Jersey. That's right across the street. You know, typically, you got all these New Yorkers, they all live in Jersey.
49:22Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
49:22Chad Johnson:You know what I mean? So for him to win, boy.
49:27Shannon Sharpe:I mean, I have been motivated in a couple of unconventional ways, but I can't share them with you now. You know what I mean? OK, OK, you know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey. No, no, no. Hey, Joe, listen.
49:40Chad Johnson:See y 'all set me up. See that set me up. That's a setup. That's Ocho. See, Ocho, he stay trying to deflect it on somebody else. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Y 'all fighting for first. Ocho, let's just leave it. Joe, we've seen this countless times the past four shows. Jump out the window with it. I haven't said anything crazy in the past four shows. Yeah, I mean, I expect some crazy stuff to fly out of my head. You know what I mean? I know how y 'all are.
50:09Shannon Sharpe:All I said is I've been motivated in unconventional ways. It's just right now, I can't speak on it. That's all I said, Joe. That's all I said. I mean, when they share things like that, I got, boy, when you get home, y 'all win this game when you get on. You gonna do what?
50:31Chad Johnson:What you got on? Yeah, Nathaniel. You outside? Yeah, yeah. Right there in front of the door? Yeah, with that roll on. Yeah, hey, hey.
50:43Shannon Sharpe:Baby, we couldn't see the game, what you do? Oh, I had 150. Oh, Lord. Let me go freshen up, I'll be over there. Hey. Yeah, yeah. Hey, you made me some problems like that right now? Hey, I ain't even got no stick. Woo, woo, woo, woo. Hey, but you shipping gears, huh?
51:09Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah, I already knew it. I already knew it.
51:12Shannon Sharpe:Hey, baby, hey, I'm faster my teammate, but damn Sharp, we ain't know you had a stick and a Range Rover. Nah, I couldn't. Hey, you had that thing in sport mode, huh? Man, look here. If anything, I had that thing like Fred Flintstone. I just had to run my feet. And I Fred Flintstone didn't have to get that car going. It's dope. I'm joking. Hey. Man, listen. I know the feeling was. But see, Ocho, Ocho, Joe tried to be slick. See, what Joe tried to do is keep us out in front and just lay in the back, and then they say, see what I tell you.
51:47Chad Johnson:I told you them, boys, they fight it out. That ain't me. Y 'all really go at each other. I just played my position. I played my position. See, the chat already know y 'all fighting for first. No, no, no, no, no. You know what I mean? Everybody know that, man. This ain't no secret.
52:03Shannon Sharpe:Nah, nah. Man, chat, no, man. I'm 58 years old, man. Here he go. Here he go. Here he go. Dang, hey, Joe, they know I'm working. The chat already know. Man, they say Unk working on a lick and a promise. He do a lick today and promise he's going to do more tomorrow. That's all I got for him, Joe.
52:19Chad Johnson:They say, damn, Unk, 58, he look like he got a damn backpack on right now. Well, you got a backpack on my bed, nigga traps coming out of his neck. Listen, I already, I know both of y 'all, boy. Hey, I know y 'all already like a book, boy.
52:34Shannon Sharpe:Hey, well, you know, sometimes, you know, a hundred pounds on there, a hundred pounds on there, you know what I'm saying? You got to build your traps up. You know, I do it strong with at least 150. Hold that thing, you know, you get them up there, hold one, two, three, slow them down.
52:48Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah. One, two, three, you build them up.
52:53Shannon Sharpe:You know, hey. Yeah. Dead weight. That's about dead weight. It get heavy. Because it's all over the place. It's not. People are like, man, you lift all them. You lift weights. I say, but you have to understand. They're on a fixed position.
53:05Chad Johnson:Yeah.
53:06Shannon Sharpe:That's why bodies are so heavy. You got a head hanging over here. You got an arm hanging over here. You got leg right there. You got the middle of your body drop through. Yeah. That's heavy weight.
53:16Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah.
53:18Shannon Sharpe:But you don't argue them zurchers. So you all know if you put the bar right here, you do squat with it, do zurchers. Build your back up also, Joe.
53:25Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah, you do them?
53:27Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Not no more.
53:35Shannon Sharpe:But Ocho, man, Ocho try to be slick, man. Ocho be put me out there. That's what happened. You starting to catch it. Hey, Joe, I'm catching it. Hey, Joe, every so often, you two, you come out the window. Boy, you out the window. God, you be jumping out the door. I'm like, damn, Joe. Yeah, because I ain't really like that. You ain't like what? Like what y 'all portraying me to be. Now he quiet, boy. Now he quiet, boy. Now he don't talk. Now he don't talk. I'm talking about that. You know, Joe, man, you know I'm selling wolf tickets. Yeah, nah, nah. I heard people talk like that when I was growing up, them old men talking on the barbershop.
54:17Shannon Sharpe:They're playing checkers. You know, checkers used to be a big thing. Ain't nobody played chess in the South where I was from. everybody played checkers. They had those coat tops on the board that didn't have checker pieces. They had bottle tops. That was the pieces. Two bottle tops, you put them in each other, that's a king. We play, some people don't play flying kings. We play flying kings so he can move way across the board. I mean, because if you don't play flying kings, he ain't no different than any other piece. If you can't go for one spot. But Joe, you know, Joe tried to be slick. I know old Joe.
54:51Chad Johnson:Man, I be chilling, bro. Hey, 10-2 over here. 10-2, my damn business. I don't be, hey, that's all I do. That's all I do. I know Ocho.
55:01Shannon Sharpe:We know Ocho. Ocho, because them skinny guys, they love them. They love them. That's what they love. More time than not, you see a big woman, skinny man. Big man, skinny woman. You know, I done failed, though, you know, speaking of big women. It was a time anything 200 up, that was me. Joe, you hear me? Ever since it got to a time... That's more than you? Yeah, Joe. It was a time I only dated BBWs. Yeah. It's unfortunate. For some reason, they didn't want to be seen with me. They didn't want to go nowhere with me in public. Most of the time, based on their decisions, You know, they were uncomfortable being, you know, seen with me in public and wanted everything to be quiet.
55:54But that is, you know, what I dated, you know. But nobody knows about it because they refuse to have to deal with the public. Oh, I'm private and all that good stuff. And, you know, I had a small break while I was single, Joe. And I'm talking about now. You know, I was single. There was a gap. And, you know, ain't nothing I want you, boy. You know?
56:19Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, but... But I think the thing is, Ocho, when we say that, and Joe wasn't on here when we was talking like that, and they say, man, man, Unk ain't do that. Ocho ain't do that. Y 'all looking at what Unk and Ocho now. Yeah, man. Y 'all didn't know when he was 18. You didn't know when he was 25. You didn't know when he was 30. He was 35. He was 40. You didn't know. So it's hard. And besides, most of you have never seen me with anybody. So you speculate. So what we're starting to do, what I'm starting to see, what I started to notice is that people, when people don't know about you, they'll make up stuff about you.
56:53Shannon Sharpe:Oh yeah. They fit their narrative, that's all. That's it. So yeah, a couple of times, you know what I'm saying, Joe, my weight a little heavier, a little bit, I 10 pounds heavier.
57:04Chad Johnson:Yeah.
57:05Shannon Sharpe:But ain't no shale country boy like myself, farm boy, couldn't handle. It just, you know, I couldn't handle both legs. I just want it.
57:14Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah.
57:15Shannon Sharpe:You know, I'm saying I had that one up, do what I could do, whatever I could do, Joe. Yeah. You're talking about, well, hey, pick the other one up. I said, baby, I'm about to sit this one down. You're talking about, what you talking about? Pick the other one. Come on now. Work with me. Work with me. Yeah, they were some good days, bro. They were some good days, bro. You know, but yeah. Dillon says, also says, shooting at an empty gym might be actually harder than shooting in Madison Square Garden. Some people think that shooting in an empty gym is harder than shooting in the garden because I feel like you're in an empty gym.
57:48Shannon Sharpe:It's just you and the ball, and it's countless thoughts going through your head. Joe, you played in MSG several times. Is it harder shooting in MSG? What's some of the harder arenas to shooting in?
58:01Chad Johnson:Hold on. Who said it was a hard arena to shoot in?
58:04Shannon Sharpe:Dylan Harper says shooting in an empty gym might be actually harder than shooting in Madison Square Garden.
58:10Chad Johnson:Yeah, I didn't find it hard to shoot in Madison Square Garden. I mean, they actually have, from the last time I played in there, they had good rims, good shooter's rims. Like if you're a shooter, you know you're going there, and that ball hit that rim, and you're like, oh, man, that's a nice soft rim. Like that's a good shooting rim. They had good shooting rims from what I can remember. I enjoy playing in there. It's almost like a stage. It's not even necessarily like a basketball court. But it seems like... Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're in New York. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's like you literally on a stage almost.
58:44Chad Johnson:You know what I mean? Because, you know, when you go in there, you got to go up these escalators or you got to go up this big freight elevator or you got to walk that big ramp all the way to the court. And it just seems like a stage. I don't know if it's the lights, how they shine the lights on the court to make it bright and kind of dim the stands a little bit to where the stands are a little darker. You know what I mean? Yeah. It's an amazing atmosphere to play in. and I ain't going to lie to you. I enjoyed it.
59:10Shannon Sharpe:I think, Joe, plus you got to get used to that perception, that depth perception in an arena like that because most of us, we come from high school and it's small. And then even in your college arena, and I think that's the biggest thing for in the March Madness. So you go from shooting in a college arena and now you go into these big arenas. It is really, really open.
59:32Chad Johnson:Yeah.
59:33Shannon Sharpe:And your depth perception. You're like, damn. Yeah. It's kind of like playing at night, Ocho. Normally when we play up under the nights, we get one day of practicing under the lights. So you get your depth perception of how that ball, because that ball is totally different at night than it is in the day.
59:53Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah.
59:56Shannon Sharpe:And you got to be careful to try to track it, but not look into the lights. Because the next day you know, you look into the lights and that ball, it's on you. It's on you. but look, I ain't really never shot in an empty gym, so I don't know if I can't confirm or deny, but he says shooting in an empty gym might be actually harder than shooting in Madison Square Garden.
1:00:21Chad Johnson:No, I don't know about that because in an empty gym, you know, ain't no pressure in the hell. It's just you. It's just you and the ball, so you can, you know, hit or miss, you don't, you know. Don't nobody know you missing but you. But once you in the arena, and I heard him say on one clip, by saying that he walked past Jay-Z, but he didn't speak. You know what I mean? Because he was just so locked in. But it's like, bro, that ain't normal. You know what I mean? So understanding that you're playing in MSG, Madison Square Garden, the mecca of basketball, yeah. I mean, I'm sure it weighs different.
1:00:57Chad Johnson:I'm telling you because playing in a dome, like, for instance, Syracuse playing a dome, I would expect it to be a lot different playing in that dome with that depth perception versus me when I was playing at the University of Arkansas. We had 20 ,000, but we kind of right on top of each other. All on top of each other. You know what I mean? So I'm sure it's a little different, though.
1:01:17Shannon Sharpe:Absolutely. And look, I guarantee if it's a regular season game, he'd have spoke to Jay-Z. But the magnitude of the moment, you locked in even more now.
1:01:27Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah.
1:01:29Shannon Sharpe:You see everybody. You see, I mean, guys that I've been to games and playoff situations where guys that was in a playoff situation, they like, what's up, Sean? You know, they throw their head up. Yeah, yeah. And then I've been in a situation where guys are locked in, they just nod.
1:01:46Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:01:47Shannon Sharpe:They nod. Yeah. I get it. I definitely understand. Same thing. I've been in a situation where I see famous people on the sideline, and if it's a regular season game, hey, I might run over there and dap you up. Yeah, yeah. But if it's a playoff game, locked in. Yeah, absolutely. So I'm not surprised by that, Joe. I'm really not. Yeah. On Plus Nicotine Pouches present Comfort Chronicles, a 10 o 'clock tea time. How comfortable.
