In short
Nightcap Hour 1 covers three NBA playoff matchups and one major injury note. Topic 1: Minnesota Timberwolves vs Denver Nuggets (Game 2). The hosts argue Minnesota “clawed back” after being down 19 in the second quarter to win 119-114 and tie the series 1-1.
Key claims
Rudy Gobert’s defense disrupted Nikola Jokic’s efficiency (Jokic felt his presence even without big blocks), and Minnesota’s game plan was to attack Jokic in pick-and-roll and deny him rest.
Notable examples
Gobert’s altered shots; Nas Reed, Bones Highland, and “Dasamu” (spelled as such in transcript) sparking the second-quarter comeback; Valanciunas playing only about three minutes after early fouls and then being removed, hurting Denver’s rebounding/second-chance points. Topic 2: Atlanta Hawks vs New York Knicks (Game 2). Atlanta won 107-106; CJ McCollum scored 32 and “out-dewed” Jalen Brunson.
Key claims
turnovers and big threes late; Jonathan Kaminga’s physical matchup vs Karl-Anthony Towns; Knicks’ Brunson shooting 10-for-26. Topic 3: Cleveland Cavaliers vs Toronto Raptors. Cleveland never trailed and won 12 straight playoff games vs Toronto; Donovan Mitchell 30, James Harden 28, Evan Mobley 25. Key claim: Cavs’ home-court dominance continues. Notable guest/injury note: Kevin Durant injured in practice.
Guests
Chad Ochocinco Johnson and Joe Johnson (ISO Joe Johnson), plus multiple sponsor/segment hosts mentioned earlier in the transcript (not treated as guests for the NBA discussion).

5:49Shannon Sharpe:Please, please drink responsibly and stay safe. The Wolves head into Denver and tie the series at 1-1. Rudy Gobert, I thought this was the first time that I've actually seen someone actually bother Nikola Jokic. Rudy Gobert bothered me tonight, Joe. and this was one of the reasons that they won. And Rudy, hey, the last couple of games, you only had two points, but your presence was greatly, greatly felt. Ant-Man was Ant-Man. Drew Randall did what Drew Randall does. I mean, they just got an all-around team effort tonight, and that was the difference in the ballgame is they go in and get a 119-114 victory over the Denver Nuggets.
6:29Shannon Sharpe:And now, Joe said the series doesn't start until the road team wins a game. On the opposing team's court, and both road teams, Two of the three road teams tonight, one on the opposing team home court. Joe, how did Minnesota do it? They were down by 19 in the second quarter, and all of a sudden you look up and they're tied at half.
6:51Chad Johnson:Hey, man, there ain't no dogs over there, Uncle Ocho. They got some young wolves over there. You hear me? Huh? Hey, man, the resiliency that they showed in that first half to get down by, what, 18, 19 points and then come back and fight back and take the lead. And from there, you know, pretty much manage the game throughout. I want to give a huge shout-out to Rudy Gobert and the challenge that he took. Making Jokic take them tough shots off, that's what it's about. Not only that, but you see what Minnesota game plan is? Jokic, we ain't going to let your ass rest on defense. Nah, we're going to seek you out in this pick-and-roll.
7:27Chad Johnson:We're going to go at you every time. You're going to have to guard, and you're going to have to score assists. They're making them work, man. Hey, them boys look good tonight, man.
7:34Shannon Sharpe:I thought what he did, I thought in the first half, guys, Yoke, just watching him, he was really trying to get everybody involved. Joe, he really wasn't doing anything. And then all of a sudden. He didn't shoot. He didn't take his first shot to about three minutes in the first quarter. And then you go look at Rudy gets in foul trouble in the third quarter, and they bring Nas Reed in. And all of a sudden, he started hunting. I think he scored 16, 17 points in the third quarter because he started hunting. He's like, oh, no, no, no. You got no chance. You ain't got enough bricks in your back pocket.
8:05Shannon Sharpe:Even though Rudy might not have bricks in his back pocket, he has lint that can disturb me, that can bother me. You see tonight, 8 of 20, 1 of 7 from the 3. You can live with that. You can live with that number. And he only had 8 assists. So if I'm going to make it sufficient, and I'm not going to allow him to have double digits, that means other guys are getting clean, easy looks, I can live with that. I just got one question, Joe Ocho. So, yeah, I'm trying to figure out what Jamar Murray was thinking. They're down three. He gets the pick from Jokic and has a shot at a clean three. He passes it up to walk inside and take a two.
8:43Shannon Sharpe:He had to be confused and thought they were down by two. There is no other way to explain what he did.
8:49Chad Johnson:Yeah, I think he was. I don't know what he was thinking on that play, honestly. But, man, he looked great in that first quarter. Obviously, shooting 11 for 25. If I'm Minnesota, I'm going to live with that. Yes. You know what I mean? we making all them, we making them dudes work, man. We limiting everybody else. Hardaway came off the bench and gave you great production. But for the most part, man, you just got to handle them two monsters. And if you can collectively have guys from the Minnesota Timberwolves step up, Nas Reed. I like the Dasamu kid from the Bulls. I love the energy that he played with.
9:24Chad Johnson:You know what I mean? Bones Highland was good tonight. Ooh.
9:28Shannon Sharpe:Bones Highland was big because he was the key. He and DeSomu, they were the key in the second quarter to getting them back in the ball game. Yeah. Go ahead, Ocho. What you like? I mean, shit, tonight's game, the Wolves played really good. They were down back, hell, a whole heave of a lot in the first half. I thought it was going to be one of those games. I'm going to just be honest with you, Ocho. I thought I was going to have to turn it off and then in the second quarter, I thought it was going to be a blowout. Not only were they losing by 17-18 at one point, Jokic wasn't even doing nothing. He wasn't even involved.
10:02He was just facilitating. He hadn't even inserted himself into the ball game yet. Hell, I get up. I go to goddamn Waffle House. I come back. Hey, Joe, the game tied up. The game is tied up. Let's talk about, you know, the word you use, resiliency. I can't even spell it, but I know how to say it. And that's what the Bulls were tonight. Goddamn Ant-Man is going to always be Ant-Man. DeVincenzo, well, he came to play ball. Goddamn Julius Randle came to play ball. Listen, Rudy Gobert didn't give you nothing on offense, but defensively, using that length to disrupt everything that Jokic wanted to do was phenomenal.
10:40Bro. Now, if we can get him to play like this every goddamn night, you know, maybe not on the defensive end, but on the defensive end always making things difficult for Jokic, I think they got a good chance, maybe not to win the series, but to take them young bulls to goddamn seven. you don't think Minnesota got a chance to win hell yeah the series Joe you tripping yeah
11:02Shannon Sharpe:this is what they did last time hold on I understand what you're talking about now one of the missing pieces tonight for the goddamn Nuggets now Aaron Gordon we need something from you now baby Aaron Gordon we need more from you outside of nine goddamn points now
11:18Chad Johnson:hey hey I seen I seen a lot of wolves tonight I mean I'm talking about dudes that were just relentless It was like almost on some real Debo backyard basketball type. You know what I'm saying? Like, for real, Ocho, you know, like I always tell y 'all, you know, in the playoffs, bro, we already know your plays. Now we just got to match this energy that y 'all got. Unc, you know playing in Denver, it's tough. It's tough playing up there in the house, too. Hey, you talking about those hands on knees? What? I'm talking about first quarter. First quarter, you be gassing for air. So I know what it takes to go in that building and win, bro.
11:52Chad Johnson:and, man, Denver a tough team, but the Timberwolves, this is what I'm talking about. When you had them other guys step up, when your bench play like that, Highland, Dasamu, and Reed, all those guys chip in with 10, 11, 12 points, and you got your big Ant-Man leading the way, Minnesota going to be tough to beat, bro.
12:11Shannon Sharpe:If I can make Jamal Murray and Jokic shoot a combined 19 to 45, I can live with that. I know they had 52 points, but it would be inefficient. in which they shot the basketball. I live with that. If Yogi's going to give you 24 points on 20 shots, I live with that. If Jamar Murray's going to give you 30 points on 25 shots, I live with that. But I can't have Yogi giving you 24 on 11 shots. I can't have Jamar Murray going to the free throw line and shooting 17, 18 free throws. So they did a great job. Remember, Joe, he shot 16, what, was 16 and 16? He was 2-2 for the game. Yeah. So Finch, like, hey, man, if we keep his ass off the line, if he makes tough shots, we got to live with that.
12:57Shannon Sharpe:Got to live with that.
12:58Chad Johnson:Got to. Got to.
12:59Shannon Sharpe:I mean, think about it. He had two and one threes in the first quarter. They had three and one threes in the first quarter. And they withstood that. Valanchunas, if you notice, Valanchunas didn't play anymore after that bull jive he pulled in the second quarter.
13:13Chad Johnson:Yeah.
13:14Shannon Sharpe:And it cost him the game late in the ball game because when Yoke was on the bench, they couldn't get any offensive rebounds. They couldn't get any defensive rebounds. So now the second-chance points started to pile up, all because they had lost confidence in Valanchunas because he was out there bull-jiving around, picking up dumb fouls, getting technical calls. He was just doing awesome bull-jives, and he didn't see the floor again.
13:39Chad Johnson:Hey, I'm giving – I like Jaden Daniels. Let me tell you why. Him and Rudy Gobert are very keys to Minnesota winning this series. I'm going to tell y 'all why. Because of their length. They're both long and great defenders. And if they can stay disciplined like they were disciplined tonight, Uncle Ocho not going for a lot of them pump face and all that, contesting late, making Yogi shoot all them tough shots. Hell, making Murray take over 25, taking 25 shots or more, bro. You're going to be able to live with that. You're going to make it work. because remember now, Murray got off to that hot start.
14:14Chad Johnson:He had 23 in the first half, Joe. Yeah, but in the first quarter, he was hot as fish. He's the first quarter. That's why Jokic really wasn't shooting. He seen how hot he was. And from that point on, yeah, yeah, yeah. But I thought J. McDaniels kind of wore him down too. That's what I'm saying. By chasing him, making it tough for him, picking him up. And that's what you got to expect when it comes late in the games, bro. that extended pressure is what's going to help you prevail if you got guys who can play that type of defense for 48 minutes.
14:46Shannon Sharpe:I thought Aaron Gordon took some foursome shots, some threes. I thought Jamal Murray, the frustration and the fatigue started to mount on him and they took some really tough shots that was uncalled. There's no way you're taking a double pump clutch, a three-point shot. You can't tell me there's not a better shot to be had than what you just did, Jamal Murray. Ain't no way in here. I mean, airballed it. You can't tell me there's not a better shot to be had if you swing it one more time. And A, maybe swing it and it comes back to you. But I thought, look, and it wasn't, even though you can say, okay, Yoke and Murray didn't play well, well, there had to be a reason.
15:25Okay, what was the reason that they didn't play well?
15:29Shannon Sharpe:Minnesota Timberwolves. Now you look at Rudy and people go like, well, how y 'all keep talking about Rudy? The man had two points and no blocks, and he was a four-time defensive player of the year. but all those shots that he altered. You look at Jokic. Jokic felt his presence. All those guys going to the lane, they felt his presence. Sometimes it's not about blocking the shot. Sometimes it's about making you think, no, I ain't got nothing in it. Let me pull this thing back out. Whereas before, Jokic was having his way with Rudy Gobert. And for the better part of his career, he's had his way. But not tonight.
16:03Shannon Sharpe:Rudy, Rudy deserved the game. Joe, you said it. Jew Randall played well. He was 7 of 14. Jaden McDaniel, 7 of 15. Dante Givincenzo, that big three that he pulled up from like 24, 25 was huge. He had 16 big points. Ant-Man had 30. Nas Reed had 11. Bones Highland had 13. But Rudy Gobert, those two points, what you able to do against Jokic, that was the key, the difference in the ballgame. because if you let him be efficient, he took 20 shots. So if he shoot his normal 57%, that means he's going to make 13 or 14 of those, Joe. Right. So now all of a sudden that 24, it's going to be 32, 34, 15 and 8.
16:51Shannon Sharpe:Now we might be having a different discussion. But the Minnesota Timberwolves, y 'all dug deep. Y 'all showed me something in that second quarter. Now listen, we talk about them digging deep. Obviously, you look at the series being tied 1-1. If I'm not mistaken, I think both of y 'all, if I'm not mistaken, correct me if I am wrong. When we talked about this series, I could have swore both of you picked the Nuggets to win. Because I forgot, it might have been you going to say, I'm not betting against Joker. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not betting against Joker. Yeah, I picked the Nuggets.
17:20Chad Johnson:Nah, I don't think I, I mean, we had to run the tape back, but I don't think I win. It might have been, but I'm just saying, after seeing the game tonight, after seeing the way the Timberwolves played, Does your decision on the goddamn Nuggets winning this series, does it change now based on the way the Wolves played? What do you think?
17:40Shannon Sharpe:For me, no, because I don't believe Rudy Gobert can play like this three more games. Okay.
Read the full transcript
17:47Chad Johnson:Well, that's yet to be seen. I think, but that is questionable. Can Minnesota, can they carbon copy a game like this again? You know, you got home court advantage now. So can you go home, protect your house? Steal two at home? That's basically all you need to do now. Right, okay.
18:05Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Yeah, that's it. I mean, look, but I think the thing is you got to be careful because if you're not careful, you'll have a letdown. Oh, we did what we came to do, which was steal a game and get home court. And I'd be damned if you don't go home and let your guard down and they take it right back. So the thing is now, in ten, what you do, you break serve, can you consolidate it? Right. You break somebody's serve, now can you win the next service game?
18:33Shannon Sharpe:Now, you put pressure on them. Now, if you let them, if you can't consolidate it, what have you done? You let them take home court right back.
18:42Chad Johnson:Yeah, and that's the thing. That's what you don't want to do. Because, you know, when you're playing on the road, it's just you and your teammates. You feel me? Like, you know it ain't nobody else out there with y 'all. It's just y 'all. So, you know you got that. You feel me? Ain't nobody really in your space. you know what I mean? Meaning like your family, maybe your wife, your girl, your kids, all that. But man, when you get back home, you know, all that's now you know, now you back picking up kids from school and you doing all this extra stuff. I'm keeping it real, bro. And then you start to let your guard down a little bit and now in game three, you like, damn, we did all that for nothing.
19:18Shannon Sharpe:You let your guard down, Joe, because you know why? You at home. You comfortable. You done got comfortable. You know what I'm saying? When you on the road, that ain't your bed. Hey, you get your ass up, you walk downstairs, you eat breakfast, you go to shoot around, you know what I'm saying, on the road. But now you in your whip, you driving to the stadium, listening to your tunes. You doing all the stuff that you don't normally do on the road. So you done got comfortable, whereas before you weren't comfortable. And so they come in, they flip the road. They're uncomfortable. They're desperate.
19:53Shannon Sharpe:they know because now Minnesota said all we got to do is just hold serve we ain't got to win another game in Denver all we got to do is hold serve at home and we good
20:05Chad Johnson:I can see Kevin Gardner right now
20:10Shannon Sharpe:okay Joe you on it but Joe you know something don't you
20:15Chad Johnson:yeah I've been trying to tell you that one thing about it Joe, this one game. What? This one game. It's just a game. We got more games to talk about, but this is just one game. But when does the playoff start, huh? When does the playoff start? When a team wins away. Hello. I'm with you, Joe. I'm with you, Joe. Hey, we got some basketball. We playing some basketball. Hey, Joe, matter of fact, you smart, boy. You know something about this thing. It almost act like you played before, huh? Hey, listen. I done had my first share, Ocho. I know a little something. You know what I mean? It looked like it.
20:57Chad Johnson:Hey, you in the hole too, by the way. Whoa, whoa. I wait, I wait, I wait. Go ahead, I wait.
21:05Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, I just thought, I mean, I was thinking the same thing everybody was thinking. They got up to that great start. They scored 37, 39 points in the first quarter. Thinking up 19 in the second quarter. and then all of a sudden you get Bones Highland, you get the soul move, you get those guys come in and they chip away. And before you know it, a 1940, and all of a sudden it's eight. And all of a sudden it's four. And all of a sudden you're like, hold on. They done came back and took the lead. Now the Nuggets got to scrap back the tightest thing up to go into the half. I'm like, well, damn. But Valanchunas, bro, you pulled your pants down tonight, man.
21:43Shannon Sharpe:That was awful. Think about it. He played three minutes. There's a reason why. You play a Jokic, he's supposed to be coming in because he's a big that can score if need be. He can set great picks. He can rebound the basketball. What was that?
22:02Chad Johnson:Man out there playing.
22:04Shannon Sharpe:Picked up two quick fouls. Hey, boy, hey, look. And in three minutes down for.
22:09Chad Johnson:Hey, if I'm Ant-Man and Drew Randall, boy, I'm thanking the bench. Nas Reed, Bones Highland, the Samu, I'm thinking Rudy Gobert because, listen, them dudes won you that game today. Now, you know, we're going to need him and Ant-Man to step up. You go home, your big guns got to fire for you
22:29Shannon Sharpe:because your role players did what they're supposed to do on the road, Joe.
22:32Chad Johnson:Man. Man. Hey, that was huge, bro. Hey, but you do. But I do expect the road guys to play a little better at home, too. I know this is a good game for them, but I expect one of them to... I expect Nas Reed to have a 20-point, 25-point game in one of these games this series.
22:51Shannon Sharpe:Aaron, Ojo, Aaron, go ahead and got to give him a little bit more. Spencer Jones. Spencer Jones got some good cardio in there tonight. Ten minutes, no points, no field goal attempts. He did get two rebounds, but he had some nice cardio, so he don't have to do any conditioning after the game, Joe.
23:06Chad Johnson:His legs nice and loose.
23:09Shannon Sharpe:I thought Tim Hardaway, you played well, bro. Bro, how you go perfect from the three-point line and you miss your free throws?
23:19Chad Johnson:Damn free throws.
23:22Shannon Sharpe:They got beat on the glass. I mean, because, you know, normally, Ljokic is giving you 13 tonight. He gave you 15 tonight.
23:31Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah. Hey, look, they're getting good. I mean, I thought there was a big game from Tim Hardaway. They're getting some pretty good contribution from guys.
23:39Shannon Sharpe:Bruce Brown played well too, Joe.
23:42Chad Johnson:Yeah, he did. He did play well. He did play well. But I just believe in Minnesota bench more than I do the Nuggets. Minnesota, I'm for real, man. They got some guys who you can get to. They can go get you a bucket for real. Like, them boys, hey, what a list. There's no Bones Island. Minnesota showed me something.
24:02Shannon Sharpe:Because who used to be for?
24:05Chad Johnson:Who you saying?
24:05Shannon Sharpe:Bones Island.
24:07Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah. You know he came from them. You didn't hear the Bulls when he came in? In the game? Yeah. Yeah. He felt like they sliding him over there. You know they going to get his best. They let him hit a little bit. Yeah.
24:19Shannon Sharpe:Oh, yeah.
24:20Chad Johnson:No.
24:21Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. But, you know, he wanted to play well. He did hit some big threes, four or five from the field, two or two from the free throw line. But, yeah, I mean, you look at their bench, they gave you 33 points. The bench gave you 33 points. Outscored them by plus 10. They out-rebounded them, out-assisted them. had more steals.
24:43Chad Johnson:Yeah, they outworked them.
24:46Shannon Sharpe:This was the first few minutes. This was the first team win for the Timberwolves. The guys played well. And I think the thing is, when you're on the road and you down, it's easy. Crowd is going crazy. We've all been on the road. And the home team get off to a great start. They jump out on a show, you know, 10-0, 14-0. And everybody going crazy. But, hey, all of a sudden you get to make a play. Defense gets a turnover. You get a score. and next thing you know, the defense stops them. You're back on the field, and now we got to talk about a tie ball game. Okay, let's play. Once Minnesota got that thing even, okay, now let's play basketball.
25:23Chad Johnson:Yeah, hey, hey, they settled in. Sometimes all you got to do is relax, take a couple deep breaths, bro, and that's what it seemed like happened because once they made them subs and them subs came in and got to it, they got right back in the game, bro, and from that point on, it was neck and neck. I mean, they took the lead, you know what I mean? Went up by like six at one point, I think, which was probably. But they shocked me. I didn't think they could keep the pace up, Arkin Ocho. When they came back, I said, boy, them boys dog tired out there. They steady bending over, grabbing their shorts.
25:54Chad Johnson:I said, hey, ain't no way. I said, fourth quarter. I said, that's when they're going to jump down on them. Nah. Them boys steady chopping wood.
26:01Shannon Sharpe:If I'm the Nuggets, I'm looking at Aaron Gordon. I'm looking at Spencer Jones and Valanchunas. Like Tupac was standing at that locker. When they opened up, when they closed that locker, and Tupac standing right there looking at him. That's how I'm looking at him. In juice.
26:14Chad Johnson:In juice. Yeah.
26:16Shannon Sharpe:Boy, that was a boy guy tonight. Ain't no way you're supposed to lose. That team with those two guys running the show, you won a championship. And those guys probably, well, we know Jokic is going to be, Jokic, Wimby, and Shea probably going to be unanimous first team all NBA selection. Absolutely. Yeah. And you get a 19-point lead, you got to be able to hold that.
26:44Chad Johnson:Yeah.
26:45Shannon Sharpe:You got to be able to hold that.
26:47Chad Johnson:Hey, this is a tough matchup for Denver, man, because of Minnesota's length. You know what I mean? Like, we talk a lot about Minnesota, how great they are offensively, how good Jokic is offensively. But defensively, hell, he could be a liability out there. Hey, Joe, they put – hey, Uncle Joe, they put Jokic in that goddamn blender. and that guy, I mean, I call the pick and roll a blender. And you know, you put the big man in a blender, man. Have him turn like a goddamn merry-go-round top. Ain't nothing he can do. Nah, hey, listen. They were seeking him out at times. It's like if he was guarding Ocho, I throw it to Ocho.
27:23Chad Johnson:You got to go into your bag. You got to go at him. That seemed like what Minnesota's game plan was. It was like, man, look, we can't let his ass rest on defense. If he going to play in that...
27:32Shannon Sharpe:They switched him off, Drew Randall, and put him on McDaniel. and they put Aaron Goren saying Aaron Goren you deal with it because you know hey Drew gonna put his head down he gonna put that crossover on you and he gonna get to that left hand and he gonna lay it up
27:45Chad Johnson:yes sir you already know what he gonna do hey I like I like Julius Randall energy too he gotta keep that same energy he can't he can't be out there deferring to Ant-Man he gotta be aggressive when need be you feel me you know what I mean Ant-Man gonna be Ant-Man he gonna do his thing but I think when he has another guy meaning Drew Randall I like even McDaniels when he starts to be aggressive sometimes offensively going in his man. Man, don't let none of these dudes rest, bro. Hey, they got a nice squad, bro. They can really do something.
28:14Shannon Sharpe:They do, and they played well tonight. Joe, the Atlanta Hawks led for just 3 % of the game, but made it count, escaping a 107-106 victory in game two over the Knicks. CJ liked to gag it away, but anyway, the road victory stunned the fans, and CJ McCullen poured in 32 points. He out-dewed Jalen Brunson and the Knicks while even in the series 1-1. The Knicks had been 40-1 in the postseason since the advent of the shot clock era, which happened in 1954-55, when leading by 12 or more points in the third quarter, after three quarters. The only loss was when Reggie Miller scored 25 points in the fourth quarter in Game 5, the famous...
28:55Shannon Sharpe:in the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals. Joe, how are your Hawks able to pull it off? Luck.
29:06Chad Johnson:Hey, Ocho, to win in the playoffs, sometimes you need a little luck, bro. Yes, sir. I'm with you when you're right now. Hey, but I don't think this was luck. I think, you know, without Brunson, I know he kind of had it going early, but for the most part, man, we kept everybody at bay. It wasn't like, you know, I know they got up on us a little bit, but for the most part, when we came back in the second half, it's like everybody started to get a little tight, you know, coming down the stretch. And I just felt the Hawks just kind of stuck with it. We kept getting turnovers, big plays after big plays, big threes.
29:41Chad Johnson:And I just wanted to stay close within the last five to six minutes, man. I'm telling you, I think CJ just was a hell of a pickup. Uncle Ocho, when y 'all watch him out there, y 'all see the poise and patience that he plays with. He's under control. The boy got a real bop-bop on him. He almost made Brunson touch earth one time. He hit that boy with that heem-heem. You feel me? Hey, CJ in a great spot, bro, because these young dudes, they looking for him to lead. And although we got a superstar in Jalen Johnson, he's still learning on the fly. You feel what I'm saying? He's still learning on the fly, huh?
30:14Chad Johnson:He going to play a lot better at home. Hey, Joe. Like I tell y 'all. You're saying that, Joe. Hold on, hold on, hold on. But this is what I was telling y 'all, Ocho. I'd rather for a start on the road so these guys can really see what playoff basketball is like, the atmosphere. CJ done been there. He done played against. champions. You know, a lot of them battles he had with the Warriors when he was in Portland. But we got some guys who are very inexperienced in the playoffs. So, but, you know, they're eager to learn, and I think they're going to play a lot better at home. And I think it was great to have CJ on the road, lead these guys down the charge.
30:49Chad Johnson:But I'm talking about from the start to finish, I just felt CJ was consistent. He got others involved, and when it was time for him to step up and make big plays, he did that. Now, he gotta meet me at the practice of tomorrow he gotta he gotta 200 200 free throws
31:06Shannon Sharpe:he gagged that pressure he felt that he felt that Joe and he kept saying it in the goddamn interview he kept saying my free throws I'm gonna burn
31:17Chad Johnson:my money man hey Joe
31:21Shannon Sharpe:we beat him up the other night the guy that got them back was Kaminga come on now Kaminga put that ball on the floor Kaminga put his head down There you go. And he did an unbelievable job because when they went small and took a Kongu out, he had to guard Cat. Yeah. Man, that man had Cat out there. God dang it.
31:39Chad Johnson:I told y 'all, man.
31:40Shannon Sharpe:I told y 'all. Get down on the block. Cat. Damn. Cat. I told y 'all. I don't know why he do it.
31:50Chad Johnson:Listen, bro. I told y 'all, Kaminga is not a little bitty dude, bro. He can fight Cat. And I think he got to be injured. Yeah, but what I'm saying is, what I'm saying is, yeah, Cat might get him a couple times. That's cool. But for the better part of it, he'll work Cat down. You know, I feel like he just got more endurance. You feel what I'm saying? And when we play small like that, you see how Kamingo was just coming in, attacking, being aggressive? That's how he got to play. From now on, that's how he drive. You remember that?
32:23Shannon Sharpe:We're not running no plays for you, bro. You got to get it how you get it. We pass you the ball up ahead. Hey, you go attack. You get on the attack early. And that's what he did. You see that? He got a couple of and ones early because he attacked early. Bro, right now, that's not your game where we go. Hey, you just, ah-ha, da-da, da-da, da-da, da. Right, right. That's you. What you are is to put your head down and hit him with the float or get to the rim and flush. That's what you are. And we just talked about that, Joe, the other night. when they did win, what is Kaminga's role? We didn't know what his role was or the fact that he didn't have a role.
33:01But Uncle said it just the right way. Once you get in there, just play basketball. You don't need to think. Just be able to read and react and just go and do what you did the night. Obviously, being able to frustrate Kat, again, who need to do and take advantage of them being small. Get your ass down on the goddamn block and bang a little bit.
33:22Chad Johnson:Hey, listen. Go ahead, Joe. Listen, for Kaminga, he just got to continue to keep playing hard. Meaning, let his defense fuel his offense because that really got him going. He was in the passing lane. You know what I mean? Just coming up, just causing havoc on defense. That was fueling our fans, breaking our offense, and we was getting easy buckets left and right. They got to keep doing that, bro. They got to keep applying pressure on them dudes, man. Hey, they going to choke.
33:49Shannon Sharpe:The thing that Kaminga knows, and probably from the scouting report, it. If Cat can't get that post position, he'll get frustrated and then just going back out to the three-point line. Kamingo fought him for the initial charge. There you go. Now, Cat going to get frustrated and going to get him up. He ain't looking like, hey, swing it. Hey, let me repost. That's not him.
34:15Chad Johnson:That's not him. Hey, you seen him out there hitting them threes. He styling it. I'm like, yeah. You see him? Yeah, you see? I'm like, yeah, okay. Okay, just let her stay close. Just let her stay close. He can have his fun. Look, Spike Lee, Nim over there. Hey, listen, y 'all know Spike Lee graduated from Morehouse, so he finna come down here trying to buy all the tickets. But we can't have that. We can't have that in, hey. Hey. We can't have it in, hey. You know it's going to be a lot of blue and orange out there, man. Come on now. It is.
34:48Shannon Sharpe:It is. But, yeah, the Hawks played really well. I mean, you look at the Hawks, they had one, two, three. They had four guys in double figures. Led by Jonathan Kaminga, I thought he played really well. He played excellent. Seven to 12, one to four, four to six from the free throw line, four rebounds and assists. He had two steals, he had a block. He played really, really well. And he and Corey Crispert tied for the highest plus-minus at plus 10.
35:20Chad Johnson:Yeah. I think that's a tough matchup for the Knicks. Especially, like I told y 'all, you put him at that four, that five spot, him and Jalen Johnson, that's a tough combination to have to guard. Yeah. And you know who didn't give you really nothing tonight too, Joe? That imagine, especially when they get back home and they play at home, Nakia Alexander-Walker. No, he won the game tonight with CJ McCollum dead. Obviously, goddamn Jalen Johnson showed up to the party. but Nikhil Alexander-Walker ain't even, he ain't come to the party. He ain't show up. He ain't show up. Hey, look, he played hard, Ocho.
35:57Chad Johnson:I know he gonna play better. I thought late in the ball game,
36:00Shannon Sharpe:he made some big time plays. That strip that he got on Brunson, I thought he played, and you know, when you play in Brunson and you gotta play that kind of minutes, it's gonna take some of your offensive game away. That's why you always try to put one of your best offensive players on a weak defensive player. It takes a special somebody to be able to dig deep on both ends, give it to you offensively, and still be able to take one or two or three best opposing offensive players and try to shut them down. So I thought he did a very good job because look at Brunson. Brunson had 29 points, but he took him 26 shots.
36:36Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
36:37Chad Johnson:I can live with that. You're going 10 of 26, Joe.
36:41Shannon Sharpe:I can live with that. Yeah.
36:44Chad Johnson:Hey, listen, I like Alexander's energy. I think he just made the most threes in franchise history in a season. So I know Ocho. He going to play a lot better at home. And we needed his contribution. Listen, if we can hold the Knicks to 106 points or less, man, that's in our favor every night, bro. You know what I mean? We can't have it up there in them 130s and 140s and 100 now. But see, Joe, Joe, I'm glad.
37:19Shannon Sharpe:I'm going to let Brunson shoot 26 times. Because guess who ain't shooting? Yeah, yeah. Cat had 12 shots. Yeah. OG had four shots. Josh Hart had 11 shot attempts.
37:32Shannon Sharpe:Cat ate 12. I thought we played some.
37:37Chad Johnson:He can't. That's a high volume of shots. I don't think he got enough stamina to be able to get money like that. I'm just keeping real with y 'all. Not from what I see.
37:47Shannon Sharpe:Well, I mean, because guess what? You got Walk taking him, and you got Dyson Daniels. Dyson Daniels got the length to bother him.
37:55Chad Johnson:Yeah. Just wear him down. They switch him, and they go Jalen Johnson.
37:59Shannon Sharpe:So you get 6 '9", you get 6 '8", you get probably what is Walk? 6 '4", 6 '3", 6 '4"? He might be even 6 '5". Who is that? And Akil Alexander Walker.
38:10Chad Johnson:Yeah, he about 6 '5", 6 '6".
38:12Shannon Sharpe:So think about the length that we throw in that 6 '2", Jalen Brunson. And we wearing him down. So now he's taking, he's taking, he's a tough shot maker now. Don't get me wrong. But I'm just saying, if the Hawks can continue to make him shoot 10 of 26, 10 of 26? That means 26 shots. Cat only got 12 shot attempts. Cat got no free throw. So what does that tell you?
38:41Chad Johnson:No free throw. Cat ain't aggressive. He ain't aggressive? selfish baby fool and we say the same thing every time we talk about him we say the same thing and I know he I know he it's not just us I mean everybody says it and he still don't change his game even though hell you're playing an Atlanta Hawks team that have nobody that can deal with you down there and they're blocking them in the paint but you still want to sit there huh change his game
39:04Shannon Sharpe:how you gonna change his game you think a crocodile all of a sudden gonna start eating kelp gonna start eating gonna start eating flowers it eat meat so cat gonna be what cat is
39:14Chad Johnson:you ask him to change his game now hey y 'all gotta give my boy Kongu some credit too he be 15 and 8 he be out there splick at him he be out there shooting at that
39:28Shannon Sharpe:because if you put Mitchell Robinson in the game you drag you brag you bring him outside of the paint because Mitch all he wants to do is stand for the dare contest shots get lobbed dunked get rebound and give the Knicks second chance second chance point attempts. That's what Ali wanted to do. But when you get a Kongu, Kongu can knock down a three. So you just can't sit your ass up on the back or you're going to take it out the net.
39:53Chad Johnson:Yeah. Hey, I told y 'all, man, this is going to be a good series, bro. Okay, hold on now, Joe.
39:57Shannon Sharpe:But CJ, man, I thought that shot, think about it. CJ got that ball, hey, got to his spot, and let it go.
40:04Chad Johnson:And he had a stretch down that four quarter. Oh, yeah.
40:07Shannon Sharpe:Oh, he was getting money. I'm talking about,
40:10Chad Johnson:he had them dudes at his mercy, bro. The way he run the pick and roll, man, to the young hoopers out there who want to become a pretty good basketball player, man, you, hey, the NBA is a pick and roll league, bro. We're going to always seek the mismatch, whatever it is. We're going to pick and roll you to death. And so you got to be great in the pick and roll. And CJ got that thing down to a science. You hear me? I'm talking about getting in his spot, shooting his floater, shooting his midi, and then his bop bop game so nice boy I'm telling he bop brunson a few times hey what you call it the bop bop that bop bop you gonna see you gonna see what I'm talking about don't worry about it it's coming to a place near you partner hold on you talking about me yeah yeah yeah I'm talking to you you gonna see what that bop bop is hey Joe I know you move I explained your move to you already Joe yeah whatever you see CJ out there you see how he had brunson on skates yeah hey Joe that's five on five Joe, that have nothing to do with one-on-one.
41:09Because that bop-bop ain't going to work.
41:12Chad Johnson:They got Pastor Troy going to be here for game three, man. He going to turn his thing up in game three. Pastor Troy get that big hype now. That's what's making my Troy now. As long as he play vice versa. Hey, he going to vice versa. We ready. Hey, we going to turn the roof off this thing. Hey, Pastor Troy, real deal, boy. Come on. Come on. We ready. Hey, Joe, you going to the game? Yeah, I'm going, Ojo. Okay. Yeah. Hey, Joe, tell me I got the one seat available. You going...
41:49Shannon Sharpe:I got the last ticket.
41:51Chad Johnson:You did, Joe? I mean, you got the last one? Joe did. Nah, uh-uh, uh-uh. Nah, nah. Me and my people's going. Who's your people? Hey, but, uh... Who your people? You don't know. You don't know. You don't know. You'll see it, though.
42:05Shannon Sharpe:You when they kill the camera, you'll see.
42:07Chad Johnson:Hey, are you going? No, I'm going to the Lakers game tomorrow. I'm going to the Lakers game tomorrow. You too? Hey, hold on. Oh, your team ain't it? Yeah, Miami ain't making it, Ocho.
42:20Shannon Sharpe:I'm sorry. Hey, listen, that's fine. That's fine. That's fine. Y 'all can make fun of me. Hey, there's one thing about it, man. God said don't kick no man while he down, and y 'all still a kicking. You ain't down? Yeah. But we tried to put you down. That's cool. So we can't kick you. No But Atlanta showed me something tonight Yeah They showed me something tonight
42:44Chad Johnson:They did bro They did They did That was because You know the Knicks was You know pretty much handling us And I just I felt we could fight back It seemed like we would get within a few points And next thing you know You know Knicks would go on a little mini run Or something happened then But when the fourth quarter came It seemed like everybody got tight for the Knicks And CJ CJ was like Hey hey hey Y 'all just chill out I got this Don't worry about it.
43:07Shannon Sharpe:You see Tony Bradley play. Remember, Quinn knows him. Quinn had him in Utah. A big body. Somebody that can bang with Mitch. Somebody that can bang with Cat. Because Cat was killing him on the glass.
43:23Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, shout out to Tony Bradley because I was on that team in Utah when Quinn was coaching. I played with Tony Bradley. So he gave us some great minutes tonight. Like, you know, AA, which was much needed. They needed it. Because they did. Man. They did. They needed that.
43:40Shannon Sharpe:But I thought the Hawks played really well. They got Quinn should be very proud. The team should be very proud. But don't relax now. You won a game. You took home court for them. Now you got to go home and serve. It's like the battlefield. Okay. We've advanced now. But don't go, hey, don't go and give that advancement up.
44:00Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, hey. We got to practice on semen retention. Don't go home. Try and get all that mooshu from your lady and all that. We got to have them legs, baby. We got to have them legs.
44:13Shannon Sharpe:Hey, Joe, I've been away. You know, I got to shake the car. Man, when I get home today, hey, I got to wake up with a mean one.
44:19Chad Johnson:Hey. Come on. Come on. We need to get home. Hey, Joe. Hey, Joe, them boys down in Atlanta, Joe. What do you mean? We just need a little discipline, Ocho. We just need a little discipline, Ocho. Yo, that's like being in Houston, talking about you need a little discipline. Like, come on now. Well, we ain't, Ocho, we ain't really got those type of players. A lot of our players married, bro. Like, they, you know, I'm just saying. Okay. Yeah, we got a pretty good team, bro. I'm with you when you're right. Yeah.
44:50Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, hey, hey, I done been away. Oh, I done been away for about a week. Right, right, right, right. All right. Oh, we got two big games. Joe, unless you got a visitor in town, you got to get it.
45:09Shannon Sharpe:Hey, wait, hold on. You let ketchup stop you? Yeah, man. Oh, hey. My bad, my bad. No, man, I'm good. I'm good with that.
45:16Chad Johnson:Oh, I know. Hey, I know Ocho running red light. Hold on, let's stay on the topic of basketball. Let's say that for the back end. That's for the back end of the show.
45:23Shannon Sharpe:You ought to shame yourself, Ocho, but you know. That's for the back end of the show. Let's stay on top of basketball right now. The Knicks fan went from F. Trae Young to F. CJ. Wow. And you see Trae Young left. He's 29.2. And CJ is right there with him. Damn. CJ right there with him.
45:46Chad Johnson:Ain't that ironic? Mm-hmm. Hey, listen. This thing here going to be cracking. Hey, when's that game, Joe? Wednesday? Thursday. Yeah. Oh yeah. It's going to be jumping. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on, Joe. Hold on, Joe. What you hold on for? Let me see something. What you looking for? Nah, because I'm probably... I'm from the... Hey Joe, if you see me at the game, boy, just holla at your boy now. I'm from the... Oh, you plan on coming down that way? Hold on. You sure is this Thursday? yeah it's Thursday hold on hold on hold on watch this if I see you in there if I see you in there I'll come speak to you hey Joe you got to hear with that church hand yeah what church hand
46:44Shannon Sharpe:yeah you know you in the church you see somebody yeah yeah
46:52Shannon Sharpe:Don't let the Hawks go on the road. So the last two road teams win the ball game. The Hawks win 107-106, and Minnesota goes on the road and take down Denver. But no such luck for the Toronto Raptors. Donovan Mitchell scores 30. James Harden scores 28. Evan Mobley has 25. The Cavaliers had at least three players that scored at least 25 points in the fourth postseason game for the second straight season, the fourth time overall. Cleveland never trailed and won 12 straight playoff games versus Toronto. Thanks to Goat James, because Goat James, they couldn't win nothing. Nathaniel over Goat. Tied an NBA postseason record with consecutive wins over a single opponent.
47:38Shannon Sharpe:The streak began in 2016 Eastern Conference Finals when the Cavaliers took the final two games. Cavaliers swept Toronto in four games in the second round in 2017 and 2018. Hey, I got a question too. Somebody need to tell me what's going on with Brandon Ingram. So the score was 115 to 105. You get great production. I mean, look at his efficiency. RJ Barrett, 22 points on 10 of 13. Scotty Barnes, 26 points on 11 of 19. You get Colin Murray Boyles had 17. Sandro had 12, 5 of 8. B.I. had 7.3 of 15 now he was talking about the guy had him in the pick well they got me setting picks they got me setting picks okay you ain't setting no picks tonight you 3 of 15 come on now come on now
48:27Chad Johnson:what you got I was gonna say man that got there Mobley and Harden I understand they had 25 and 28 but look how efficient them boys was from the field though and with Donovan Mitchell them playing like that if you You got Mobley, Harden, and Mitchell playing like that with your two bigs. Hell, Joe, they could damn near just about beat anybody coming out the East. If them three, them three spearheaded monsters play like that every single night. Now, I know it's impossible to do every single night. But if two of them come along and the rest of your supporting cast just give you something, especially on the defensive end with them big boys down there.
49:04I mean, hell.
49:04Chad Johnson:Hey, listen. I see what you're saying, but I also know what Unk's saying, too, about Brandon Ingram.
49:11Shannon Sharpe:If he gave you anything tonight with the way they bench play, if Brandon Ingram gives you anything, they got two points from Yaka Portal. Yeah. Jamal Shee gave you three points. Brandon Ingram gave you seven points. So you got 12 points. One guy played 38 minutes. The other guy played 36 minutes. Mm-hmm.
49:30Chad Johnson:Yeah.
49:31Shannon Sharpe:Hell to the nought. Yeah.
49:32Chad Johnson:No, I agree with you. Brandon Ingram got to be better. I'm sure he knows that three for 15 ain't going to get it. Not against this Cavs team in Cleveland with Donovan and James Harden and them guys mobbling them playing the way they playing. Shit. Y 'all ain't giving no resistance, bro. Like, you know, you got to be better than that. And I'm sure he'll be better. Stop turning the damn ball over. When they go home. Hey, I got them winning. I got them winning a game or two in this series, though. Yeah, I don't got him winning the series, but I got him winning the game or two. But yeah, it was a great fight, man.
50:14Chad Johnson:It was a great fight. I just felt Cleveland came out hitting on all the cylinders from the jump. Hey, Joe. Them boy putting... Go ahead. What's up? Have you seen that goddamn step back three from Harden? That was a foul? I mean, when he opened up with a little bit with his hand, that wasn't... Yeah, he come up through it. Yeah, and Buddy went back and fell. Yeah, you can't put your hand in that cookie jar. They're going to do that every time. Once they see their hand in there like that, they're just going straight up. Yep. Hey, look, that's why the game different now because you can't touch nobody.
50:49Chad Johnson:As soon as you touch them, they start, you know, flailing, getting them fouls. Foul baiting. But Cleveland did what they're supposed to do, bro, protect home court. Now we're going to see what they really made up. can they go to Toronto and get a win or two? But I got Toronto winning a game or two in this series.
51:08Shannon Sharpe:In game one, B.I. had 17 points. Game two, he had seven points. On three of 15, he had a team high five turnovers. He's averaging almost 22 points a game in the regular season. But through two games, he has just 12 points, averaging 12 points a game. And he's the second highest paid player on the team at 38 mil per season. And he's been an all-star.
51:32Chad Johnson:he was all-star this year wasn't he
51:34Shannon Sharpe:I think he was Joe so he's a two-time all-star yeah he had two guys that were all-stars he's either your best player or your second best player it all depends you're talking about Scottie Barnes or whatever but they 1A and 1B however you want to rank it you gotta give me more than that I can't have three role players coming off the damn bench playing ten less minutes than you and got more points than you yeah Jacoby Walton had 14 points to your seven. Murray Bowles had 17 to your seven. Sandro had 12 to your seven. No, that can't happen. It just can't happen. It can't.
52:12Chad Johnson:For him to win on the road, he definitely can't play like that. You make it win a game at home with him playing like that. If the rest of these guys are going to be efficient the way they did.
52:23Shannon Sharpe:If the other guys play like this, yes, you can win. Yeah, yeah, yeah. On the road. On the road. It's tough. Your big guys need to come through, but it's your role players that eventually win you the game. But if your big guys don't come through, I don't know if the role players can do enough. Now, if you get somebody to go off, get you 30, some role player get you 30, 35, hey, you got a chance. But it ain't very often that you're going to find a role player, get numbers like that, Joe, especially in the playoff game. Now, it might happen in the regular season. Yeah. But in a playoff game, the likelihood of a role player going off and getting 30, it's happened.
53:01And we saw in between.
53:04Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah. It don't happen a lot, bro. Hey, you got to be cut from a different cloth, boy, to come off. Listen, to be a role player or to come off the bench and win a game, meaning the playoffs to where, you know, you hitting on all cylinders because, man, the game plan be so precise. Okay, Ocho, like I always tell y 'all, we already know what plays they going to run. They already know what plays we going to run. We know who the shooters are and the non-shooters. Bro, we got to play it to the T and see who make a mistake first.
53:35Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
53:39Shannon Sharpe:All right, baby dinosaurs. Y 'all down, O2.
53:44Chad Johnson:Hey, Toronto going to be lit. Drake going to be at the game. Hey, we got some good matchups coming up, fellas. Yeah. Yeah. It's going to be tight. The table's going to turn.
53:53Shannon Sharpe:Well, they have to, Joey. I mean, look, you lose 3-1. Now, look, Donovan Mitchell does have a problem. He's lost having 3-1 lead, having 2-0 leads, and he's lost. And that's kind of been the knock on him. Last year, what Indiana did to them was, ooh, that was embarrassing.
54:12Chad Johnson:Yeah, Indiana, they did it to everybody last year. In the playoffs, they won$100 in every series. Every series. Yeah.
54:23Shannon Sharpe:What, they beat the Knicks, beat the Celtics? Cavs? Well, they beat the Cavs the first round. Then they got the Knicks. And then they beat, what you call them, in the final? Beat up, what you call them? They beat the Knicks to go to the final, didn't they?
54:42Chad Johnson:Maybe they did, yeah. Because I know they started off with the Cavs. Yeah, they went from the Cavs to... What was it? I got them. Hallie was on goddamn fire, huh?
54:55Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, Hallie hit game winner. He was going crazy. Yeah. I ain't remember who the hell.
55:05Damn.
55:07Shannon Sharpe:Because like you said, they were underdogs in every matchup. But they found...
55:13Chad Johnson:Was it Milwaukee? It was Milwaukee.
55:15Shannon Sharpe:It might have been Milwaukee. Yeah. Or they played Bucs in the first round, then Cleveland, and then the Knicks.
55:22Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah. Yeah. And they were underdogs in every series.
55:26Shannon Sharpe:But Halle had them. They were about four, five game winners. Oh, that boy was cooking. And he got that funny release on his shot, Joe. Uh-huh. Straight water.
55:39Chad Johnson:That thing cashed. I ain't going to even lie to you. I went Indiana traded for him. I ain't really see what they seen in him when he was in Sacramento playing with Fox. I'm like, they must think this little dude here can play. Well, he need to be able to get a pinch.
55:51Shannon Sharpe:Who's your point guard? Fox or him? Yeah.
55:56Chad Johnson:I ain't see this, though. I ain't see him. I ain't see him putting it down like this.
55:59Shannon Sharpe:But then you let him go and he gets a big that he can throw lob to. I mean, he still, you know, like I said, he can make the three. He can penetrate. He's bigger than you think. He likes 6 '5". Yeah.
56:10Chad Johnson:He'll be a big-ass point. Yeah.
56:14Shannon Sharpe:But, you know, I'm looking forward to seeing him back next year, see what they do in the draft or what they can trade, they can make, because I think they need another big. I don't think they have enough right now with Pascal. They gave up Matt Byrne. Nim Hard is still there. I just don't think Obie Toppin is okay. I think he's a solid role player, but they need a big. 58:08I'm John Green. You may know me as the author of The Fault in Our Stars, and now I guess also as the co-host of The Away End, a brand new world soccer podcast.
58:17Shannon Sharpe:I'm Daniel Alarcon, a writer and journalist, and John and I have known each other since we were kids. My first World Cup was Mexico 86. I was nine years old. I watched every game and I fell in love. On our new podcast, The Away End, we'll share with you the magic of international football, all leading up to the 2026 World Cup. For us, soccer... Football... ...is a story we've shared for over 30 years since Daniel was the star player on our high school soccer team. Very debatable. And I was their most loyal and sometimes only fan. I love this game. I love its history, its hope, its heartbreak, and above all, its beauty.
58:54Together, we'll find out why, of all the unimportant things, football, soccer is the most important. Listen to The Away End with Daniel Alarcon and John Green on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
59:11What's up?
59:12Shannon Sharpe:I'm Miles Turner. And I'm Brianna Stewart. And our podcast, Game Recognized Game, has never been done before. Two active players giving a real look at our lives and what we actually think on and off the court. Nothing's off limits. We talk trade requests. What's the vibe of that when it's like your star player is like, well, I want to leave. And then actually now I'm going to stay. We talk tanking. I mean, honestly, like, I might get in trouble for this answer, but I think it's like definitely happening in the WBA. And yeah, we talk about our mistakes, too. They pulled me to the side and was like, hey, man, we got a call last night, man.
59:47You can't be rolling around the city like this the night before games, you know, doing this, doing whatever. And of course, family stories. And I'll be like, mommy, why did you miss that? Mommy, do you play basketball? Check out Game Recognized Game with Stewie and Miles on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
1:00:11American soccer is about to explode. The World Cup is coming. Ramos sending on the Army. Stewart, the chip. Score!
1:00:23USA! I'm Ty Bramos. I'm Tom Boat. On our podcast, Inside American Soccer, you'll get the real storylines. I'm not worried about Pulisic. I'm not worried about Balogun. I'm not worried about McKinney. My only concern is what happens in the back. The biggest decisions. You're going to look at stats and numbers. He has no shot at making this World Cup team. And the truth about the U.S. national team. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if our team ends up in the quarterfinals or potentially a great run into the semifinals. The World Cup is almost here. Experience it all with us. USA! USA! USA! Listen to Inside American Soccer with Tom Bogert and Tab Ramos on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
1:01:11Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, they do. They need to be in the worst way. But they got their work cut out for them. They got their work cut out for them because Cleveland isn't even an easy victory. And they're playing really well, as you guys saw tonight. 25 for Mobley on 13 shots. He's 11 of 13. Harden had 28 on 9 of 14. and then Donovan Mitchell had 30 on 13-23. So when your three big guns are going off like that and you let them shoot a percentage like they're shooting, it's going to be hard for you to beat them. It's going to be really, really, really, really, extremely hard for you to beat them. When you turn the ball over 22 times, they turn it over 10 times.
1:01:52Shannon Sharpe:That's not a recipe for success. So Cavaliers up 2-0. Nuggets T-Wolves 1-1 Hawks Knicks 1-1
1:02:07Chad Johnson:We got a series We got some basketball Going on now fella Hey Joe You feeling good now Huh Joe Come on man Come on man Stop playing Hey he making videos Hey he making videos All on Instagram Tagging me You saw that too You know Hey he I'm over the mind
1:02:22Shannon Sharpe:Of my black business And I get an alert Yeah Hey he making All type of Hawks sound Uh uh Uh uh Hey, like he called from Martin. I'm like, okay.
1:02:32Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, hey. I almost burned my money, man. When I see the first video, he come down there and smoked them two free throws. I said, oh, my God.
1:02:41Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, you know you can't do that. Oh, my God. Oh, yeah, Joe. What you call him? They traded for Zubats, didn't they? Oh, in the MD. Yeah, they did. That's why what you call him ended up in the Clippers. And I like Zubats. I thought Zubats was getting better and better and better. He played. I liked him when he was with the Lakers and LeBron. I was shocked that Magic gave him up for, Lord, have mercy, for what he gave him up for. For who, who, huh? He gave up. Mike Muscala. That's who he traded him for. Yes, he traded the Clippers for Mike Muscala. And Mike Muscala was a marksman. He shot threes really well.
1:03:20Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Except until he brought his ass to the Lakers and played with LeBron. And he couldn't throw it in the damn ocean. I forgot. We have something we've never had before, a unanimous Defensive Player of the Year, and he's the youngest Defensive Player of the Year. Victor Wimby, as expected, was announced the winner of the Defensive Player of the Year. He was second in voting last year, thought he could have won it last year, favorite this season until in medical condition, ending his season prematurely. Then left, no doubt, at 22. He's the youngest Defensive Player of the Year, and he's the first to win it unanimously.
1:04:00Shannon Sharpe:I mean, hey, hey, great, great, great y 'all can see that. Hey,
1:04:08Chad Johnson:Ocho, the next five, maybe seven to ten years, he's probably going to win this award.
1:04:15Shannon Sharpe:I wouldn't be surprised.
1:04:18Chad Johnson:Because of, you know, his unique build being 7 '4", 7 '5", with that long wingspan like that and moving the way he moved, you know, having great timing and shot blocking and just altering shots. Bro, it ain't going to be nothing like him over the next 20 years. It ain't nobody really to challenge him.
1:04:37Shannon Sharpe:Because you got to realize in the 90s, Joe, you had Mark Eaton. You had Dikembe Mutombo. You had Elijah Warren. You had David Robinson. You had Ewing. You had guys. And then you had Jordan. And so you got Allen Robinson. So you had guys that were really – you had Gary Payton. So it wasn't no situation like, oh, man. No, hell no. They played defense, defense. And so now with Wimby, really, when you look at it, it's really only too big to play defense. It's Wimby and Rudy. I mean, when you look at it, Joe, when you really, really bring it down. When you look at big, okay, Chet. Chet's in there. But it's not like it was in the 90s when you had a – I mean, think about it.
1:05:22Shannon Sharpe:David Robinson. defensive player of the year. Hakeem, defensive player of the year. You had Mark Eaton. I mean, you had guys. And you had, you know, the guards were legit. So you might be right, Joe. There might be a string where he could easily get four and five years. I think he's going to be probably the first guy to win five of them because he's won it so early in his career. Yeah, he got 10. I wouldn't be surprised.
1:05:53Chad Johnson:and you got to look at his state of mind where he's at bro he's trying to do something that's never been done he understands the position that he has and he's so locked in on his craft trying to better himself day in and day out like he's looking to be the best bro he wants to be the face of the league he does hey he want to carry that torch he ain't tripping he ain't tripping about nothing you know me however he come so I think you're going to have a guy who, you know, and God's willing, bro, he stay healthy. He gonna string a few of these together. You might be right. He might be the first one to get five.
1:06:30Chad Johnson:You know, because his shot blocking ability is just crazy. Yeah. And he don't block a shot.
1:06:36Shannon Sharpe:He makes you think, nah, I don't even want to try no layup. I'm good. I ain't gonna try no flow. Let me go on out here to the three. Hey, they get a three on one. You know they get a three on one. You normally challenge. Man, they pull that finger. Oh, no, no. Let's go back out here. Come on, y 'all. We ain't got nothing going on down here. Win me up under the basket.
1:06:58Chad Johnson:You're right, man. Don't nobody want that smoke, man. He is a matchup nightmare. And the thing is, we love guys that can play offense and defense.
1:07:10Shannon Sharpe:That's what you loved about Jordan because he gave it to you on both ends. You loved that about Kobe. You loved that about Dream. You loved that about those guys.
1:07:18Chad Johnson:Giannis. Hey, but when you look at all those dudes you just named, none of them move like... No, no, no, no.
1:07:25Shannon Sharpe:Only Elijah Juan was 16. This guy's seven inches taller than Elijah Juan.
1:07:33Chad Johnson:And he twitched with a bag too, Joe. That's what I'm talking about, Ocho. It ain't like he just shot blocking. He really handling the rock like a real small guard. This man out here is 7 '4", 7 '5", bro. Like some of the moves that he making. You know, Giannis a downhill player. Giannis ain't got no like that. He ain't got no East or West. He ain't got nothing. Ha ha. He ain't got that. He going straight downhill, straight through. You feel me? Man, Wimby got some wiggle in his game. That's all I'm saying.
1:08:02Shannon Sharpe:This is why I don't understand about the old guys is that we're not taking anything away from you, but these guys are more skilled than you. Name one guy that played in the 80s and 90s that could do what Wimby did. None. name one guy that played in the 80s and 90s that can do what Kevin Durant did. You don't. And it's okay. It's called evolution. It is.
1:08:26Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:08:28Shannon Sharpe:Guys get bigger, faster, stronger. In the NFL, they get big because they see what you did and so that's the standard. You guys, I mean, when basketball first started, look at this. Come on, man. Guys with MVP shooting 40%. yeah
1:08:47Chad Johnson:real talk
1:08:48Shannon Sharpe:it's different now and it's okay I'm not saying I just believe that there are more guys to do what the really good players could do back then that's all
1:08:59Chad Johnson:oh yeah and when you think about it you know back in the day if you was 6 '5 6 '6 in like high school they'll put you under the bat you know what I mean At least if you're a four, you ain't no damn point guard. Nowadays, if you that height, you a guard, meaning you doing all guard skill work. You feel what I'm saying? Even if you 16, they ain't just putting you up under the goal, telling you shoot jump hooks, do the George Mike and drill. They ain't telling you just do all that. You feel me? It's like, hey, look, we're going to work on this bag, even though you taller than everybody. And that's just kind of how the game has evolved.
1:09:37Chad Johnson:and now you got guys like Wimby at 7 '4", 7 '5". Bro, he doing stuff we ain't never seen. I'm going to be honest with y 'all. His handle is immaculate for a guy his size to be able to move the way he moves. Dude special, bro.
1:09:53Shannon Sharpe:Because they're working on it now, Joe. These guys got trainers. I mean, these guys got trainers. Guys didn't have no trainers back then. They figured all that stuff out on their own from watching, reading magazines or watching stuff. These guys now, they see all the stuff that Jordan did. They see what Kobe did. They see what all these guys with great handles did. They just replicating that. Now you look at, go on TikTok. Go on the internet. Go on YouTube and watch the IG, watch the young kids, how they handle the ball. Even the young ladies. These girls, five, six, seven years old, patting the rock.
1:10:26Chad Johnson:They ain't playing, bro.
1:10:28Shannon Sharpe:It's okay.
1:10:29Chad Johnson:See, it's been there.
1:10:31Shannon Sharpe:Just because someone is advancing the ball, that don't take away from what you did. I don't care if somebody went 10 championships, Jordan won six, he's still Jordan. Kobe won five, LeBron, KD, Steph. It don't diminish what you guys did. Sometimes I think when guys, somebody does something, people actually think, well, no, no, no, no, it doesn't. I don't give a damn. I don't care if somebody catches 2 ,000 passes for a career. It don't diminish what I did because I did what I did when I did it. Right. Now, if he catches 2 ,000 passes and somebody else in that area and the next closest got 500.
1:11:08Shannon Sharpe:Now we talking about something, Ocho. Yeah. When you're that far ahead, it's kind of like what we give Jerry so much credit is that look at when Jerry played and look at what everybody had done numbers with everybody else. Right. Ain't nobody got 17 ,000 receiving yards, 18 ,000, 19 ,000, 20, 21. He got 22 ,000 yards. Yeah.
1:11:35Shannon Sharpe:nobody's within 40 touchdowns of it that's when you when you play at an era and you 40 touchdowns clear of everybody else come on man different he is but these kids not today Joe I mean hey I don't know what the next Wimby is I damn sure don't want to see him what are you what are you going to be Joe 8 foot tall
1:12:08Chad Johnson:hey man listen maybe I don't know but you know it's some little dude out there right now working on his game and he don't even know
1:12:17Shannon Sharpe:what are you going to be Robert Wadlow the tallest man to ever live 8 foot 11 somebody coming in 8 foot 11 hell of a ball like that
1:12:25Chad Johnson:I tell you what now that if LeBron and KD and them are on their way out in the next 3 to 4 years two to three years. The game gonna be in good hands. Yeah, for sure.
1:12:34Shannon Sharpe:The game always in good hands.
1:12:36Chad Johnson:Oh,
1:12:36Shannon Sharpe:I don't know what's gonna happen when Magic and Bird retire. Okay, here come Jordan. Here come Barclay. Malone. Man, I don't know what's gonna happen. Here come Kobe, LeBron. Garnett, DaVisky, D-Wade, Kobe. Yeah. The game ain't stopping for nobody. Oh, no. Montana, Brady, Elway Peyton Manning it don't matter the game going to be just fine same thing with baseball I don't know what's going to happen keep watching that's what's going to happen receivers boatloads of them boatloads of them because guess what we had no damn 707 camp what you went to a football Maybe if you had a little money, you went to Florida State or you went to Florida or you went to the U or you went to South Carolina or Georgia or whatever the college was, you went to the head coach's camp.
1:13:41Shannon Sharpe:Man, they got traveling 7-on-7 now, Ocho. Yeah. Hey, where they have that? Look at AAU in basketball now, Joe.
1:13:53Chad Johnson:Yeah, that stuff helps. Hey, man, listen. When I was coming up, we ain't had no trainers. All we did was hoop. You know what I'm saying? Like, we met at the gym. We met at the park. We was over somebody's house hooping in the backyard. You feel me? Sharpening our tools. We ain't had nobody telling us do no one-two dribble, pull up, pump fake, spin right, stand on one leg for two seconds and shoot that jump. We ain't had all that, bro.
1:14:19Shannon Sharpe:Because they didn't know. Didn't nobody know. Yeah.
1:14:23Chad Johnson:Yeah. We just competed. We competed and we played day in, day out. I'm talking about until our damn feet was hurt.
1:14:30Shannon Sharpe:So, yeah. But congratulations to Victor Weminyama, the first of many. He's the youngest at 22 years of age to win the DPOY, and he's the first guy to win this award unanimously. You don't get a whole lot of unanimous in anything. I mean, you know, I think David Robinson won the – was David Robinson unanimous? I think David Robertson might have been the first unanimous.
1:14:54Chad Johnson:He might have been, boy. He was a monster.
1:14:57Shannon Sharpe:Unanimous rookie of the year. He wasn't a unanimous. Steph is the only unanimous MVP. Shaq finished one vote short. LeBron finished one vote short. Hold on. I'm saying David Robertson never won a defensive player of the year. But it wasn't unanimous. It's funny how it's always one voter, huh? One voter, yep. Got Shaq. Always one voter want to play around. I forget the guy. I think the guy, I think it was Fred Hickman that denied Shaq, and I think a guy voted for Carmelo. I think he's out of the New York market. They ended up voting for Carmelo the year LeBron finished one vote short. Hey, you give people a little power joke.
1:15:37You see how they abuse it?
1:15:39Chad Johnson:I already know it, bro. It's funny. It better be different, ain't it, man? Yeah.
1:15:45Shannon Sharpe:I mean, look, it happens. Hell, people left Kim Griffey Jr. off the Hall of Fame ballot. So, Kevin Durant.
1:15:51Chad Johnson:Damn.
1:15:51Shannon Sharpe:Huh? I said damn. Kevin Durant went through about a half of Houston's practice on Monday and will be a game-time decision Tuesday, according to Ima Yudoka. KD missed the Rockets' game one loss due to a knee bruise he suffered in practice on Wednesday. Reports have come out that he suffered the knee injury diving for a loose ball and bumping into a teammate. Damn. Well, that's one thing we didn't do. Now, we could dive in the game, but Mike Shanahan, we're going to have you diving for ish in practice.
1:16:26Chad Johnson:Hey, that's why Pat Riley makes you wear knee pads. Oh, you got to wear knee pads? Wear knee pads in practice when you're getting down like that. Oh, in practice, okay, okay, okay, okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah, because we're going to be working.
1:16:39Shannon Sharpe:They don't work like that no more, Joe. They don't. No way. It's a different – and I get it. I get it. I get it. It's so much money involved. You don't want to get guys hurt. Okay, that's the thing. What you see with us, I mean, they don't have no two-a-days in practice. You only get 11 padded practices, and I think you only get three like the last six, seven weeks of the season. Right. It's a different time, and I understand it.
1:17:04Chad Johnson:Well, the thing is, damn, Houston, they had this long break because of the play-in, so they had that week where they weren't playing. So if you're even playing in that week, you have to find a way to kind of rev it up at least for a day or two, Ocho. We just can't go out there cold turkey, and we ain't got our heart rate up. You hear me? Like, we got to bump and grind a little bit, and this is just one of the unfortunates that happen when you're practicing before the playoff.
1:17:29Shannon Sharpe:Well, that's what we had to do, because, like, we might have a playoff or we're going to sit out. We'd have to take scout team reps. Mm-hmm. Yeah. So, because we weren't going to get any game reps, so we had to take scout team reps. cool, I'm cool. I'm cooking. Doing your thing.
1:17:48Chad Johnson:Yeah, for sure.
1:17:50Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Coach D. Cornyn tell him, well, they tied in. He ain't Shannon Sharp. He ain't no pro bowler, all pro. Well, he might be against y 'all the way y 'all play it. Yeah, yeah. But no, I get it. I get it. And it's very unfortunate because KD played 78 of 82 ballgames. And here it is, a freak incident. and now I missed the first game. There's a potential, the possibility I might miss the game tomorrow.
1:18:18Chad Johnson:Yeah. And could potentially cost them the series. Hey, because y 'all know momentum. Hey, I tell you, man, it's a fine line between winning and losing in the postseason. And, you know, Lakers build this humongous confidence and they go up 2-0 going into Houston. Y 'all know LeBron probably going to have, he going to have one of them games. One of them games, he going to act a fool.
1:18:39Shannon Sharpe:Y 'all have the opportunity for us to go on out there to Houston, see old gold out there in Houston. You know what I'm saying, Ochoa Joe?
1:18:45Chad Johnson:Y 'all want to go to H-Town? I'll be down for that now. Oh, man, y 'all scared. You know what I'm saying?
1:18:52Shannon Sharpe:Y 'all scared.
1:18:54Chad Johnson:Y 'all scared.
1:18:56Shannon Sharpe:Y 'all want to go? You know, Scooby say, Ruh-roh. Hey. Hey, Unc, the Lakers play Houston in LA tomorrow, right? Yes. Okay, so the next game, that means the next game of what? The next two games will be in Houston.
1:19:14Chad Johnson:Three and four will be in Houston. Games three and four. I mean, y 'all want to plan a little trip down now? Nope. You just said you want to... Huh?
1:19:24Shannon Sharpe:I just told you. Oh, okay. You can't go anywhere. What happened?
1:19:34Why can't go? Man, Cambodia ain't letting you go nowhere. Yeah, she'll let me go? I mean, She don't run no prison. Let me, it's a halfway house. It's about that. It's about that.
1:19:51Oh, no. You ain't trying to do nothing, Joe. Nah, I mean, listen, if y 'all go, I go, I go. You know, I mean, listen.
1:19:59Chad Johnson:And now, Ojo, we call bluff. He ain't think we gonna call it bluff. He ain't think we gonna call it bluff.
1:20:06Chad Johnson:He ain't think we gonna call it bluff. I ain't that joke.
1:20:09Shannon Sharpe:like I'll be down to take a little trip.
1:20:16Shannon Sharpe:I damn sure ain't think you was the... I damn sure ain't think you was gonna be the first one. Anytime I got an opportunity to hang with y 'all boys, man, listen, I'm all... Man, go ahead on with that. You had an opportunity to hang with Joe. Anytime I got an opportunity to hang with y 'all, man, it's always love, man. I'm here for y 'all. Man, everybody know that you don't fake love go right at us. Hey, I rearranged my life for y 'all, man. You hear me? I rearranged my life. Chad, y 'all know Ocho fake left go right. Hey. Every time. I rearranged my life for y 'all, man. You hear me? I'm glad I learned my lesson early.
1:20:53Hey, Joe, I'm with you when you're right, Joe.
1:20:58Joe, hey. Joe, I'm with you when you're right, Joe.
1:21:02Chad Johnson:Yo. Damn. Damn. I guess we have to see. Damn, my goddamn heat, man. We sitting here talking basketball and it ain't about my heat, man. Man, it's been about you heating a long ass time. I'm saying. Don't get all sensitive now. I'm not getting sensitive. I'm just the fact that we talk about all these other teams. I just can't wait until you see the move that Pat Riley and Mickey Arison make, you know, in the all-team. Well, we'll walk on with Nick Miggins. Yeah, we ain't even talking about that right now. We talking about the upper echelon team, team that's in the playoffs right now. I got you, Joe.
1:21:34I understand. I understand there's certain things that I can say, but I sprinkled it out there a little bit. You know, like partially, I sprinkled it out there a little bit. And, you know, the fact that I say it when I do say it, most of the people don't believe me. But when it happened, they'd be like, oh, my goodness, Ocho, you was right. So a small example of me knowing what I'm talking about, but nobody really paying attention. And got them in February. I told you. Hey, where did I say? And I'm sure we got the video evidence that we can pull back and we can use this proof. Where did I say A.J.
1:22:01Brown was going when they going to trade him? what team I say we're going to yeah
1:22:07Shannon Sharpe:two months ago Joe I've been telling him since what October I said oh he up out of there you don't know what you're talking about all you try to do man this is what I don't like about this is what I don't like about um because he think he know everything not one person we can go back and pull it because we still got the comments what Ocho and I was talking about because we got it and we can pull the comments you don't know what you're talking about All you do is think you know everything. You don't know everything. I said, man, y 'all don't hear this man talking. They winning the ball. They winning games.
1:22:39Shannon Sharpe:Oh, my thing went out.
1:22:41Chad Johnson:It came back. My bad. They traded. So they traded. No, Joe. This was going to be a post-June 1st. Yeah, post-June 1st. But, Joe, listen, I was saying this two, three months ago, right? Football season was over. They were having discussions and talks about him going. I said the first thing I said was, listen, young bull want to get up out of there. If you're asking why you're in season, and then I'm thinking, what place would make sense for A.J. Brown to go for him to still be able to flourish? Hello, go back with your coach. You was with in Tennessee. I mean, in Tennessee with Coach Rabel. So I said right away, I said, yeah, he's going to the Patriots.
1:23:18I mean, it's common sense at that point, you know, and this was damn near two, three months ago. Everybody talking about, man, shut up. He don't want to go nowhere. What you talking about? Thank you. I don't think y 'all don't understand how it works. But guess what, Ocho?
1:23:31Shannon Sharpe:But you know what they're going to say? Oh, everybody knew he was going to get traded. You a lie. No, you didn't. You a lie because all y 'all, don't come now. Oh, man, no, no, no, no, no, no. We want y 'all just like y 'all when Ocho and I wrong, and y 'all want Ocho and I to admit that we was wrong, we got it wrong. I need y 'all to do the same thing. I want y 'all to run it with the same passion, with the same conviction that y 'all say, Unc and Ocho don't know what the hell they talking about. A.J. say he wasn't going nowhere. They say they weren't going to trade him. Run it with the same passion.
1:24:01Shannon Sharpe:Hey, I got all the tweets saved, too. Yeah! I'm going to go back and pull them. All the tweets saved. Because when it actually happened after June 1st, we're going to go back and we're going to pull about 15 of them. So you better go take them down. Because we like the job. Because we use all tweets against you. Yeah. Because y 'all just knew. Oh, man. He didn't say that. He said he didn't want to go nowhere. They said he wasn't going to trade him. Okay. Eagle fans where y 'all at? I know we got some Eagle fans I know we got some Eagle fans because I told you during the season they're going to trade him I said he wants to get out there and you know what?
1:24:38Shannon Sharpe:it's the best thing sometimes when you have irreconcilable differences let's go ahead and break this thing up amicably that is what y 'all wanted to hear oh you just trying to no no no no I want y 'all what y 'all normally do when Ocho and I are wrong. Oh, man, just admit you was wrong. Now, I want the Eagle fan. Now, come on with it. Yeah. And the funny thing - Come on with it. It's going to be a good thing. It's going to be a good thing. Let me give me a piece of candy. Hey, like the old people say, Joe, let me get a piece of this old hard candy.
1:25:16Shannon Sharpe:Hey, my grandma killed some candy. Help her. Hold on. The man catch a touchdown in the Super Bowl. He's a second-team All-Pro. He's a Pro Bowl player. He led the team in receiving and yards. I don't know what else you can get. And he was unhappy. You remember two years ago, Ocho, he on the sideline reading a book. The key from blowing the top. Whatever you got to do to keep you calm. It got so bad, they had a meeting. The owner and AJ had a meeting. He said, I understand your frustration. Probably with something like, I understand your frustration, but can you not be so public? And I said, I don't have a problem because I'm a firm believer.
1:26:04Shannon Sharpe:You don't accept anything in a win. You wouldn't have lost. I said, but you got to keep it behind the scenes because people are going to view you as selfish. You're winning. At one point, you had the best record in the NFC. I said, you're winning. I said, people are going to look at you as being selfish because they're going to look at it like, no, you just want your stats. And then if you drop a pass or something happens, people are going to become overly critical of you. I'm just trying to – I ain't telling what somebody told me. Ocho and I speaking from I got 14 years, Ocho got 11. So that's 25 years of NFL experience, being in the locker room and seeing how things work.
1:26:46Shannon Sharpe:That's all. No, don't tell me that. It never meant nothing. I need you to admit don't talk this ain't about when Unk wrong again Unk admit I tell you what if Sexy Dexy go out there and ball out I'll say you know what that was a good trade you were right well hold on it was a good trade I'm telling you it's going to be a good trade because anytime we talk about football and I say something ahead of time it's always right it's always right I'm rarely wrong when I say this since you've been talking about your bingos your bingos ain't been to the playoffs since okay that's just that's one thing that's just one thing that's one Hey, now, hold on.
1:27:20Hold on now. Don't you do that. Hey, brother cowboy, don't you do that down there. That's what you're not going to do. Because I chime in
1:27:29Chad Johnson:and say thanks. Nah, nah. I'm just saying. We talk about us not being to the playoffs. I mean, we in the same goddamn boat now. You know? Hey, if I'm Rose, then you Jack. Now, don't act like that.
