In short

Nightcap Hour 1 reacts to the Buffalo Bills beating the Miami Dolphins 31-21 to go 3-0, then pivots into Dolphins discipline/culture issues and whether Tom Brady’s NFL broadcasting access could be a competitive advantage. Later, guest Fred Kerley discusses joining the Enhanced Games.

Guests (and backgrounds)

  1. Fred Kerley: Olympic silver medalist (100m), world champion (100m), elite sprinter with sub-44 (400m), sub-19.8 (200m), sub-9.8 (100m) credentials; also competes on world relay teams.
  2. Seth Rollins is mentioned as joining later (WWE heavyweight champion).

Key claims

  • Dolphins lost due to “bonehead” late-game mistakes: a punt-block attempt after scoring and a dropped Josh Allen play on third down that extended Buffalo drives.
  • Dolphins’ repeated tardiness/discipline problems (including Jalen Ramsey and Tyreek Hill) are framed as a culture failure tied to Mike McDaniel’s leniency.
  • Brady’s booth access is argued as not meaningfully helpful for game execution (“X and O” still decides), though the NFL may revisit the issue.

Notable examples

  • Punt-blocking “not in that spot” after a touchdown and a defensive error giving Buffalo extra downs.
  • Discussion of players leaving practice and “winning cures everything” (discipline issues worsen when losing).
  • Enhanced Games: Kerley says he’s “clean,” wants testing, and frames participation as financial protection/equity.

As you watch the Miami Dolphins lose for the third time this season, the Buffalo Bills run their record to a perfect 3-0, thanks to a score of 31-21 Josh Allen, three touchdown passes, and two very costly mistakes by the Miami Dolphins in this ballgame, late in this ballgame, really doomed their chances of potentially winning this game. 6:05Shannon Sharpe:But Ocho, the ball game. For a moment, we felt like the Dolphins could pull the upset, but two very, very critical mistakes, Ocho. The Dolphins are now 0-3. Buffalo Bills run their perfect, keep their record perfect thanks to a 3-0. Ocho, I tweeted this. I don't know why that D-line would try to block the punt. Ocho, you had just scored offensively. You had just stopped them three and out defensively. You're about to get the football back. Why? And two, I don't know what two saw. But go ahead and take it away, Ocho. What did you see? Listen, we went out there. We played a good first half. We played a very good first half.

6:41We played competitive football. As opposed to everybody else, you know, are we playing the Buffalo Bills? The Buffalo Bills, they finna run us out of the stadium. we competed we played good football on both sides of the ball no turnovers um no turnovers in the first half true correct yes none none good good we go to the half we still in the game all we got to execute and play good defense no mistakes when you know you have a team that's better than you you already owe into when you know you have a team that's better than you You can't have any mental mistakes. Brooks, you got the C on your chest.

7:19It was third down. You dropped Josh Allen. You tackled Josh Allen all the way down to the floor. What we doing? You gave him another set of downs and another offensive series.

7:31Shannon Sharpe:Yep. Sigler, de-tackle. You kill a center or a guard, whoever it was. A dude on the outside with a free run ain't blocking the punt. I appreciate your effort I appreciate your effort but come on you know you ain't finna get to that you know you ain't finna block that point not in that spot Ocho come on what you doing like come on now tour the splits are condensed the splits are already condensed your eyes tell you everything the linebacker the linebacker everybody know they teach you in peewee when you get the ball keep your eyes up field so the linebacker don't know where you're going wherever you look that's where they gonna go to they're gonna flow to it they're going that way all you had to do was hold your eye line straight just for a little bit you know where you're going come on man baby you know better than that like we was this close we was this close like come on man Listen, outside of us losing, we play well outside of those three bonehead mistakes.

8:45I mean, come on, man. We got to do better. I mean, Reek. Hey, Reek. Tyreek, I know you're going to see this. Hold tight, boy. Hold tight. It's going to get better. I'm telling you. I had days like this. I had days like this. It's going to be okay. Waddle. Hold tight. Hey, Chan. Boy, you ran your ass off tonight. Boy, you hear me? You ran your ass off tonight, boy. I mean, the whole game. I don't know if this was the game plan with Mike McDaniels. They had condensed splits the whole damn game damn near. The whole game. Bump and run. They up in their face. I was hoping at some point, because the running game was pretty decent, it was pretty good.

9:29I thought they were going to drop a safety and leave one-on-one out there. They kept two safeties up there high with the press. running 55, running cover 2 from press.

9:39Shannon Sharpe:Why would I not run 55 against Tua? Where are you going? You're right. I bet you won't run that against Lamar Jackson. You won't run that cover against Josh Allen. Or Jane Daniels. Because when your back turn, he's going to come right out the back door. He's going to be 20 yards down the field. He's touching you on your back. Turn around. I'm here. like Ocho all the things you spoke about those are the mistakes that you make when you're owing through owing to about to be owing three you make boneheaded mistakes like that you can't get out of your own way as you mentioned they played a they played a perfect game they got behind came back okay we got a ball game we had didn't get blown out in the first half guilt we gave ourselves a chance in the second half and like I said I don't know why uh uh Siler would try to block that punt.

10:29Shannon Sharpe:Not in that spot, Ocho. You had just scored a touchdown. You had just gone down the field. You take Buffalo and you make them go three and out and you try to block the punt? What? Why? I don't know who the special team coach is. You should have told them, don't even try to block it. Well, they had defense stay because that's the only reason he's on the field. So just to make sure they don't do anything tricky, I can keep my defense out there, bring one returner back, somebody go off, but I got defensive state. Okay, don't even worry about it. Because the worst thing can happen, you run into the guy, and they call it roughness because he didn't give him a chance to land.

11:10Shannon Sharpe:They try to protect the punter kicker from doing stuff like that, trying to protect him when they're up in the air like that, Ocho. But in that situation, the worst thing that could happen, happened. But when you're owing to, those are the things. because you got to think, Ocho, how did we get to be 0-2? Yeah. Because it's not like they don't meet. It's not like they don't have talent. Right. You make dumb plays at the most inopportune of times, and it puts you in a bind. Tua, like Ocho said, you know where you want to go with the ball. Yeah. All you got to do is just, once you do this, where do you think the linebacker going?

11:47Shannon Sharpe:He following your eyes. He following your eyes. Along with the safety. Anything after that second level, wherever your eyes is, whichever way your helmet is facing, that is the way the safety is drifting. Yes. If you know it's a short throw, if you know the splits are already condensed, that means the linebacker ain't got that far to go. No, he already got that far to go because everybody already tight. Go the outlying straight. Then when you're ready to throw, boom, look at your target. You go through that. You go through that. It's repetitive week in and week out, week in and week out. Like, you know that.

12:19I'm not a quarterback, huh? but I just know as a quarterback, you want to protect your receiver. How do you protect your receiver? By holding your eye line so it's not a bang-bang play.

12:30Shannon Sharpe:Right. How did Hansel and Gretel get back home? They left breadcrumbs. You want that safety, that linebacker to follow you? Lee, drop them breadcrumbs, which is your eyes. He going. What you spoke, what you try to do, Ocho, is that if you want him to flow one way, you look that way but then you throw the opposite way yeah because he's gonna go where you're gonna go because normally it's now unless you met Matthew Stafford you throw no look passes and stuff like that now that's that's a whole different story Ocho but in this situation it was really two plays that really undid what the Dolphins had done tonight because I thought they played really really well uh Tua didn't have big numbers they did like I said they did a great job of getting the ball out of Tua's hand.

13:20Shannon Sharpe:They didn't want to chance anything with that pass rush. I think Russo and Bosa, they didn't want to take any chances, Ocho. So let's say, three yards here, swing pass there, five, seven yards. We're not holding this ball. Right. Because the last thing we want to do is get trapped because normally, Ocho, what happens when Tua gets sacked, he doesn't have much grip strength. The ball comes out. and a lot of people a lot of people laughing oh to it listen it was a great game plan a great game plan mike mcdaniel had a great game game plan knowing how good that front four is knowing you have to deal with bosa okay you know what i'm not going to put to her in a vulnerable position vulnerable position we're going to condense the splits the whole goddamn game oh they was two three yards inside the number the whole game the whole game why quick game get it out boom if they If they cut the receivers, get it to the back out of the backfield.

14:20That's why everybody calling him check down to it, check down to it. No, he's doing exactly what he's supposed to do, which is why he was so efficient without having any turnovers until it came later in the game. Yeah. And the running game was one of the reasons why we had success in being able to score 21 points. And we just, at the end of the game, I mean, you can't make those mistakes as a team that's owing to everything has to be perfect. You want to be as perfect as possible, as possible. And it's just, I understand, look at Siegler, you were trying to, you were effort. It was the effort play.

14:51I'm trying to make a play for my team. But you got to know and understand the situation and have situational awareness. You're not going to, you're a D-tackle, young bull. You're 200, 300 pounds. You're not going to get there to block that. But I appreciate the effort. Who we got? I think we got the Jets next, right, at home?

15:09Shannon Sharpe:I think so. Yeah, listen, I'm going, I get, listen. I'm going on a limb right now we gonna win this game cause I'm finna be like I'm finna be like Gilly I'm coming out the goddamn tunnel with the Dolphins you hear me? I'm finna be the hype man in this game that's enough of this shit I'm not dealing with this no more I'm coming out the tunnel with the Dolphins I don't care what Mike McDaniel say I don't care what Steven Ross say they need me for team morale they need me, I'm gonna hype their ass up I'm gonna give them the peck talk before we play the goddamn Jets shit. I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four to five year acceleration. And get myself into a world of trouble. I'd say probably start bone smashing. 17:55The Declaration, which is full of these beautifully rendered sentences and paragraphs about enlightenment ideals, does also have this darker history to it. 19:22Joe, how was your flight? It was great. The guy on Penn State moving on the field, and the player thought Joe was his former coach. And he hugged him. He hugged him, and Joe just went with it. And the guy goes, what are you doing here, coach? And Joe just goes, man! And you walk in and it is bananas. I mean, it's a feast for the eyes. 19:54Shannon Sharpe:Before the game, reports surfaced about players being late to meetings, having disciplinary issues, has long been an issue under Mike McDaniels. Tardiness was an issue throughout last season. One current Dolphin player said he believes some captains the past season took advantage of their role. Ramsey and wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who were two of the eight players voted captains in 2024, were among the repeat offenders who received numerous fines throughout the season. Players were often late to practice in meetings, and with multiple team sources suggesting, it reflected a lack of respect for Mike McDaniel, who was hesitant to publicly admonish players outside of posting fines.

20:35Shannon Sharpe:However, one Dolphins player who played for McDaniel in Miami said that behavior was exclusive to the 2024 season and the issues arose when the team stopped winning games. Ramsey's behavior became a drain on the team morale according to multiple sources, including current and former players who said this action varied from being late to team activities to outright leaving practice. player driven leadership has always been emphasized under McDaniel. His style is one of the current player described. It is laid back without with being hands off. Former Dolphins players who played for McDaniel said the coach was always open and vulnerable with his players, which he thinks players misconstrued as being soft.

21:20Shannon Sharpe:Man.

21:26Winning cures everything. I hate when stuff like this happens when you have a players coach that's a little bit lenient and he allows you to get away with stuff and all players aren't treated equal you know that all players aren't treated equal now I understand some people obviously having that C on their chest who you are notoriety being a veteran but there's certain things that you just can't do because when they see one person do it then everybody else tries to do it but everybody else knows they can't get away with it based on who they are. Now, now that everybody's losing, now that we're losing, now everybody's talking.

22:07When you're winning, it's quiet as a mouse. Ain't nobody saying nothing. Ain't nobody saying nothing. Now stuff is leaking out, players that play for Mike McDaniel. When you get a player's coach, a coach that's vulnerable, a coach that's fun that's entertaining that's you know very uh like i very very loose uh like a i'm trying to think who could i compare like a like a sean mcveigh i'm not saying coaching style i'm not saying coaching style i'm just saying one that you can relate to he ain't tom coughlin he ain't bill parcells if you know what i mean so he's a little bit more lenient and you know i guess you had some players that took advantage of that and i'm not saying that the fact that players are taking advantage of it, why are we losing?

22:55But some of those mistakes that's going on on the field, it's a part of discipline, huh? That's a part of discipline. And when it comes to discipline, that also reflects the coaching. So when there's certain things you allow, like coming late and being tardy, it leaks onto the fucking field. And that's what we're seeing. They lack leadership.

23:21Shannon Sharpe:See, come on man see losing reveals character you see when I told you when we first started talking Mike Shanahan told me something and everybody oh Shanahan shut up you don't know what you're talking about you never accept anything in a win you wouldn't in a loss I promise you playing 14 years old show you played 11 plus you know they did this when they was winning they did the exact same thing you never tolerate on the win what you wouldn't have lost if it was okay when you was winning why isn't it okay when you're losing because you've you allowed them to establish the coaches kind of coaches kind of like give you instructions of how we the players decide what to build

24:14see when you got a strong foundation nothing will ever crumble

24:20Shannon Sharpe:your foundation wasn't strong your foundational pieces was not strong right and therein lies you start to splinter instead of i don't just look the matter of fact that they said current and former players are talking it just tells you to the egregiousness of it it tells you the egregiousness of it you know you'll hear things oh cho yeah i ain't no report i ain't breaking that they're gonna get mad how you know shadow how you know you're not there now they talking now this is what we know chat based on this over the last couple of years when y 'all say sources don't know what they're talking about y 'all know they done done their homework somebody in that organization's talking and it ain't just higher ups it's players yeah they're talking and this is what happens when you put the wrong people in place.

25:12Shannon Sharpe:This is what you get. Remember I told you, Ocho, I've always tried to, when I played, I always tried to do the right thing because people were watching. They were watching because they're looking and saying, man, I can't wait. I get me about year eight, nine, and I get some, and I play really well. That is what you want, Ocho. You want your best players to be professional. Now, a pro and a professional are two different things. A professional is the task, is the job that you have. A pro is how you do said job. They're two different things. I'm not surprised. I'm not surprised. I'm not surprised at all.

25:59Shannon Sharpe:I'm not surprised. You're not surprised by the names that were mentioned. I just hate it that it's the name that's mentioned. I really do. I hate it. I hate the name that I mentioned. Because Jalen Ramsey's had a Hall of Fame career. Yeah. Tyreek, he got a Hall of Fame career. Not a good look on neither one of them. Ocho, that's what I don't get, Ocho. When was this a guy could just leave practice? If this was being reported, Ocho, it's true. Ocho, did you ever have that? A guy just left practice? Just leave? I'm talking, Ocho. Just leave? Not injured. Just leave? Hey, man, forget this. I'm going to buy out of here.

26:43Shannon Sharpe:Or a guy, I mean, I've heard guys just leaving. Man, they get mad. It's frustrated. And they leave. Just leave the building. When did that? Ocho, did that take place? You were playing? That must have came. When was that? Uh-uh. You got to understand, we had a different set up. Willie Anderson. Willie Anderson. Willie Anderson. you know big uh big big bobby they they not they andrew whitworth walking out of who practice brian stemming the keo spikes walking out of what practice man them dudes would he man i'm saying me in general huh as as great as i was during that time man they would have yoked me up i'm being honest i believe you i believe yeah that's what should happen big really man please man it would have yoked me up man who the fuck you think he is no now we don't do that it's already bad enough.

27:34We don't need you to be no distraction. Now what you're doing to fear, that's one thing. You're doing your job. But off of it, at practice? Oh no, I want no problem. I want no problem. Oh no.

27:44Shannon Sharpe:Let me tell you what I think happened. They think Brian Flores was too far this way. And so what do you do? Instead of hiring somebody in the middle, you go too far that way. Look how much space is up in there, Ocho. There's a lot of room for players to maneuver up in there. I got a question for you. Yes. You think players, forget Jalen Ramsey and Tyreek. You think players would have showed up late or walked out of practice with Brian Flores at the head? Hell no. Goddamn right. Absolutely not. A fool. A fool. It's different kinds of coaches. Different kinds of mentalities. Certain coaches, hell, he don't even have to say nothing.

28:27It's just oral. It's just who he is. You know not to play with him like that Yeah Yeah Man, what we do? What's the answer? What's the answer? Give me your honest opinion What do the Dolphins need to do? What do we need to do? They clean the house Whoa, whoa, whoa Slow down, slow down

28:49Shannon Sharpe:Clean who? They're going to clean the house You think so? Tyreek's gone after this season If not by the trade deadline They've already got rid of Jalen Ramsey Yes they're changing the culture am I going to be shocked? I'm surprised Mike McDaniel is still there because when you say you're fining players obviously that has to come out of payroll obviously you have to write it up what they're being fined for why are you taking money from them the general manager sees that

29:22so you got to understand the situation that we Dolphins fans myself, people have been fans for this organization, me since 1978. If you say we're cleaning house, we're basically hitting the reset button and before we get a competitive team, we'll be a very long time from now because you know how long it takes to rebuild yourself back up to be in a winning organization.

29:48Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. You can't win with leaders like that though. You can't. You can't win with leaders like that.

30:00Shannon Sharpe:I mean, I wish I could, you know, dress it up for you nice, Chad, but you can't. You can't. You have to have an extra. If those guys are your leaders, I'm talking about your main leaders. Yeah.

30:19Shannon Sharpe:Can't win it. You think Tyreek did this with Andy Reid? Hmm.

30:29Shannon Sharpe:Ram didn't do this with McVay either. Different culture. Different coaches.

30:40Shannon Sharpe:But why, Ocho? Don't you want to win? You see, when I say guys, I tell you. Guys say they want to win, but do they really want to win? Are they doing the thing? Because it's just what you do, Ocho. you win Monday through Friday. You just play the game on Sunday. You win the game on Monday through Friday. I don't get it. I don't get it. I don't. And I can't. Remember, when these issues were arising, when these issues were happening, they actually were winning. That's when the issues occur. When you are winning and you understand what you get on Sunday, then the coaches are a little more lenient with some of the stuff away.

31:26We had the same issue in Pittsburgh. You already know what I'm talking about.

31:30Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. We didn't get to see that part until it came to a head where enough was enough.

31:40Shannon Sharpe:Production and tolerance. Yeah. As long as production is here, tolerance can be here. Tolerance would never outweigh production.

31:52Shannon Sharpe:When Tyree was getting 1 ,900 yards, you didn't hear a thing. You see how high his production was? was up there too he had 900 last year production drop tolerance was still up here oh no no no no no no no right we we we got to get we got to get me young bull in a in a in a in a rightful situation so that he can flourish oh he came from a structured elcho if you normally when you come from a structured environment if you go look at somebody in the military more times than not not always what are they always on time yeah very very disciplined huh you go look at and the way they keep their homes very tidy yeah so no matter even when they leave the military they kind of still gravitate towards that yeah very ocd in a general and just in the way they live yes yes so it's surprising to me no it's not it's not it's not it's not surprising to me.

32:59Shannon Sharpe:Players say they want to win. But they actually think just winning the game is winning. You win in practice. You win in meetings. You win in the training room. You win in the meeting rooms. That's when you win. They just looking at winning on Sunday. That's not the only way you win. You win Monday through Friday. day yeah that's when you win i just don't get it i don't and i'm never gonna you're not gonna make me understand because like i said uh i mean what what do you got to do ocho how are you late i can see if you leave it one somebody that got two jobs ocho and they run they hey they got off the one job late getting to the i get it i don't know another player that has another job right he got one job making 30 million one guy making 22 23 million and you late oh i've been late before it wasn't it wasn't a continuous occurrence though yes yeah oh we get it i can tell you when it was it was a goddamn december and it i opened the door and the snow everywhere it took me forever to get out the goddamn parking lot i get it i look everybody i think is i mean i shouldn't say everybody but most players have been late at least once yeah yeah yeah yeah but i don't think what they're talking about is a a once occurrence reoccurring yes yes oh cho like i said one time hey it ain't gonna happen but see that's what that's how mike was overweight mike gonna hit you for 50 a pound it's just what it is you late to the meetings hey you can pay the normal fine or you can pay it in cash in front of the team.

34:50Shannon Sharpe:The choice is yours. Now, I'm telling you, Mike will get rid of you. Hey. You can't win because you're fostering a culture

35:07Shannon Sharpe:that as the old guys start to move away, this is what you're going to be left with. Yeah. And so that's what they always say, Ocho. you try to get the bad apple out because the bad apple will spoil the rest of the apples but but listen sometimes your bad apple is also sometimes your best player yeah and therein lies the problem i said i said sometimes yes and therein lies the problem what what let me ask you a question why did the patriots win so much who was the hardest worker 12 you see the foundation that he laid I guarantee you it's the same way in Kansas City when you get your best players and they're the hardest workers you're Michael Jordan you're Kobe Bryant you're Josh Allen you're Patrick Mahomes you're Peyton Manning you're Tom Brady it's easy to follow those guys but you gotta have a strong that guy gotta be strong and guys don't want to let guys like that down

36:19Shannon Sharpe:damn man it's bad we knew it was bad we knew it was bad we knew it was bad not like this bad huh I said we knew I knew it was bad I'm just saying the way we played tonight the fight that we showed the resilience that we showed that you know the whole world they doubting us Oh, y 'all don't stand a chance. Y 'all gonna get run out of the stadium. Buffalo from the beach, y 'all hit it. No, we played good competitive football. We were three mistakes. With three mistakes, and I hate to blame it, but that cost us a chance to tie the game. It cost us. It just did. Damn, man. I still got my tour jersey on, though.

37:04You know.

37:07Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, I see. Welcome to On the Field, today's hottest sports stories presented by On Nicotine Pouches. Breaking news here, the Onvitational is officially launching this October. I'm Munges Shatigular, and I'm back with a new season of the podcast Skyline Drive. This time I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones, and brain replacement to try to understand what this longevity obsession is all about and what it really means to live forever for all of us.

37:58I learned about some rad science. I can make a brain for you, and then we can test what draw is the best for your brain. as opposed to his brain. Here are some hard truths. I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four to five year acceleration. And get myself into a world of trouble. I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. Make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know. Listen to Skyline Drive, How to Live Forever on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

38:39The Declaration, which is full of these beautifully rendered sentences and paragraphs about Enlightenment ideals, does also have this darker history to it. Why is it important for the darker part of the Declaration of Independence and the American Revolution, why is it important that Americans know about it? Well, if we don't understand the full context in which our nation was founded, we won't understand the full context in which our nation now finds itself. I'm Rebecca Nagle, Goheen Dawadon, Jalika Yetli Kei La, citizen of Cherokee Nation. Are you guys big Chiefs fans? Hell yeah. 39:59that we had on the road. No, no, no. I would love a cocktail. Dude, Joe could get last row middle seat on a Southwest Airlines flight. Joe, how was your flight? It was great. The guy on Penn State, we were on the field, and the player thought Joe was his former coach. And he hugged him. And he hugged him, and Joe just went with it. And the guy goes, what are you doing here, coach? And Joe just goes, man. And you walk in, and it is bananas. I mean, it's a feast for the eyes. And I was like, it's not my thing either, but we're here. When in Rome. Top athletes, chefs, musicians, everybody. You know, I'm like, I know these guys, but who are you? I'm MC Jin, and this is Laugh But Not Lease. I'll be chatting with guests from all walks of life about the power of humor when it comes to facing difficult times, like the co-founder of Rough Riders, Darren D. Dean. Talking about as a kid, do you remember that we met even way before that? Let me think. Did you walk up to the gate? That was me, D. That was you? That was me. The day we found out that you and the whole crew was at Hit Factory, the mission was to get me to go to the gate, start freestyling, and see if I could get in the studio.

41:19I'm rapping, and then suddenly I hear a voice. Hey, open the gate. Let him in. The gate slowly went. Come, come, come, come, come, come. They all, they're watching this, and they watch me walk into there. And that is a moment that I will remember for the rest of my life. Listen, and last but not least with MC Jen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Ocho, we're gonna move along.

41:41Shannon Sharpe:Former Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce says he thinks it's foolish to believe Tom Brady won't use his access as a broadcaster to help the team. Pierce said, this is unprecedented that we're seeing. I think it would be uncomfortable if it was the other way around, to be honest with you, because you're not dealing with just a normal person. Tom Brady is elite of the elite, one of the greatest quarterbacks, one of the greatest players in this game. It's hard for him to watch a few things on Friday's practice or hear things in the production meeting and be like, hmm. And I have tidbits. You'd be foolish enough to think that he's not going to share those with the Raiders because we had those conversations about certain things.

42:21Those conversations don't matter, huh? Tom Brady's the seven-time Super Bowl winning quarterback. Six with the Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Him going to another team practice and sharing with the staff for the Raiders ain't helping because it means nothing once you touch the field and you have to execute. You have to execute. It comes down to X and O. Manio Mano, winning your individual matchup, having a conversation about what I saw don't mean nothing. Matter of fact, small example. We watched Canelo Spar. One of Canelo's sparring partners was Jerron Boots Ennis. And then when it was time to fight another switch hitter and Bud Crawford didn't matter.

43:06It didn't matter.

43:07Shannon Sharpe:No, but what if they got intel? What if they got intel of what Bud was actually doing? I'm giving you a look on what you're going to see Sunday. No, no, no. I don't want no look. I want to look from what you're telling me. Jerron Boots Ennis is not Bud Crawford so let me ask you this perfect I'm glad you said that Jerron Boots Ennis is not Bud Crawford Tom Brady and Gino Smith Tom Brady no so what you're telling whatever information you give is not going to work so let me ask you a question so if B-Mac so if Bud's trainer were to tell Canelo's trainer okay this is our strategy that's not gonna help either huh absolutely not because when you get in the ring no matter what i tell you still gotta execute the fight stop it ocho stop it stop it you know that's not the case absolutely not absolutely not wait listen to me real quick listen to me real quick you play with the denver broncos right yes you play with the denver broncos yes and just say they got your playbook and you don't know it they got your playbook and johnny will call the play in the huddle and you get to the line you worried about them knowing what the play is that actually happened to us what you gonna do you gonna get open no matter what i ain't hey i ain't got to tell you no speculation it happened the tennessee titans had our playbook did you get open that game hey we made what we want open that game also i made one play jamal Lewis rushed for a touchdown.

44:44Shannon Sharpe:The defense took the game over. We couldn't do nothing offensively. They had to check for everything that we did. Every formation we got in, they had the perfect call. The only play that we made was a formation they had never seen before where we ran switch routes. I ran up. I was lined up in the slot and we crossed. I went up the rail and the outside guy went up the scene. I caught the go ball. They passed it off? Nope. They blew it. They stayed. Both of them stayed inside and let me go around the rail scot-free. I get it down to the one Jamal run the ball in. We didn't do nothing after that because they had the playbook.

45:25Listen, you cut from a different claw. We think the same. We play the same. We talk the same. So the fact that you're not agreeing with me on this, I wouldn't care what they know. I don't care what plays you know. I don't care what Tom Brady tell anybody. When I line up on that field you finna get this fucking work oh i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry you finna get this work my bad my bad my bad yo you good it's work that don't mean nothing that ain't no competitive advantage because you still got when the whistle blow you still got to go out there and execute the x's and o's oh if i know where you're going i'm gonna be there before you get there should me come on come on that's not that's why that's why you don't ping your

46:07Shannon Sharpe:location that's why you don't tell anybody you don't want nobody to get the drop on you yeah i just i just i'm just a thought i mean just a thought as a player i bet you ask some of the young players right now hey tom brady is having a conversation and they think it's a competitive advantage him being in the booth i guarantee all the players right now man we don't care about that if that wasn't an issue why did why did the nfl not let him do it last year if it wasn't an issue or they thought it was an issue i i don't listen you know they you said it wasn't an issue why i know i'm no i'm saying it the powers that be that that the powers that be that like to control everything everything that goes on like player socks what you wear of course they didn't want to do it i mean he's doing it this year why oh i don't know i don't know i don't know because you know you know how they are you know how they are yeah we we can always disagree They micromanage every little thing.

47:03Every little thing. Oh, it's a competitive event. Hey, that ain't shit.

47:08Shannon Sharpe:Because all the boys still got to get out there and line up. You do. If Tom Brady and Brady was actually playing in the game at quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders, now we got a problem. No. Now we got a problem. Belichick ain't played no games, but he sure did call a lot of great defenses and seemingly knew where everything was going to be. I mean he had a lot of great players to do it it doesn't matter the players it doesn't matter it doesn't matter you told me it doesn't matter you see what they did against Seattle they knew if they brought a certain defensive package in what would Seattle do bring a certain offensive package in they brought a 5-3 in they said well Seattle is going to throw the football I just think, look, it's going to be 50-50.

48:04Shannon Sharpe:There are going to be people that feel strongly like you do. There are going to be people that on my side feel strongly like I do. I'm surprised that they relented because if that's true, what information can he get from a practice that he needs to help call in the game? You say he watched tape all week. So what does Friday practice do for him? he watched it on tape so why does he need why does he need to be in production meetings yeah we we i mean to me we're making too much of it we're making too much of it we make i think oh i think enough people go ahead i think enough i think enough people on both sides have strong opinions both ways that's why if it was if it was like you see how close they came for the tuck rule, getting the tuck rule out.

48:53Shannon Sharpe:Because you got people strong on both sides. Ah, it's fine. Nah, nah, that's a competitive advantage, so forth and so on. Because I remember you couldn't push the guy. You couldn't aid the runner. You couldn't push him and help him gain yards. Now you can. But I just think the thing is, is that Tom, it is definitely a situation where the NFL is gonna gonna look back into it. Alright, Ocho, we got a very, very special guest joining us. This guy's done something that very few track and field men in the track and field game has ever done. He's one of the few men that has run sub 44 in the 400 meters, run sub 19.8 in the 200 meters, run sub 9.8.0 in the 100 meters.

49:36Shannon Sharpe:He's a world champion in the 100 meters. He's an Olympic silver medalist in the 100 meters. And I think he won the, he's on the world relay team. Here he is, ladies and gentlemen, Fred Curly. Fred, what's going on? Thank you. You're mute, Fred.

49:59Can you hear me?

50:00Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, we got to now. What's going on, bro? Chilling, chilling. Chilling. Can't complain. Let's start with this. You watched Sid today. 47-78. Two women. I mean, think about it. You had to go, to get on, Basically, to get on, you got to run one of the 10, 11 fastest times ever for a woman just to get on the podium. How impressive what you saw Sid do. Basically, she said this year, I'm done with the hurdles. I'm not doing the hurdles. I'm focusing on the four flat. And her sole purpose is to take that world record down, many thought was untouchable. How impressive, how impressed are you with what she's doing, Fred?

50:40I think it's crazy. It's something that I have not done and been done in 39 years, and to have somebody great as her to accomplish that is amazing. And I feel like she still can go faster. She's just still young in just the open four. Her baby is the 400 hurdles, but there's no telling what she can do in the open four. I feel like she can go even below what she did. I feel like she's still young at it. Her body's still young. I feel like she still can do some amazing stuff in that open 400 meters. you believe she can go sub 47.5? I feel like she can go faster than that. I feel like, yo, it's Sydney we talking about.

51:18Yes. Yo, so she got talent that I don't think no woman on this earth have got or no woman have discovered yet. I feel like she's amazing. So every time she touches track, it always have been a world record in her young days. So I feel like the sky's the limit, and I feel like she still got a lot more in the tank. I feel like that 47 where she ran was a chill mode, really.

51:44Shannon Sharpe:Hmm. When you look at it, Fred, I think a part of it, because they're talking now that maybe Bobby Kersey, he coached Flojo, Gail Devers. Gail Devers was a two-time Olympic 100-meter champ. We know what Flojo is. We don't need to say anything. Valerie Briscoe at the time, she married Hooks, and now she's Valerie Briscoe Hooks. She was the first to do the double, the 4-2. in 84 in LA. Last time the Olympics were in LA. Guess what? In 28, the Olympics going to be in LA. Could you see Bobby Kersey going to the Olympic Committee and saying, look, we want to do something unprecedented. The only thing that they can do unprecedented is the 4-4.

52:20I feel like she always can do anything, but if the time frame presentable, I feel like no telling what the Olympic Committee can do for any of us. Right. Right.

52:33Shannon Sharpe:You watch, I mean, I don't know how much of the, are you watching the World Championship? I watch YouTube University or Twitter University. I get all the news when everything come on them channels. I have not watched it live. How surprised are you with the way Oblique Seville has run this year, ended up winning the World Championship at 100 meters? He caught Kishane. Kishane always gets a great start. I was surprised how easy Seville made it look. Noah got the bronze, but Noah didn't have a whole lot of races. Handicap what you saw and what you think happened. I don't think I was so much surprised about the race.

53:10He's been showing it since I raced him in Jamaica. It's all about peaking at the right moment. A lot of athletes have not raced in September. They're in their season in August each year. So every time you end your season early, you don't get that extra boost. And what I saw in the 100 meters, I feel like he was always capable of doing it. He just ended up shorthanded. And this year he showed what it was. And for Noah, I feel like I don't think he was so much concentrated on the 100 this year. I think he was so much concentrated on the 200. He lost the 200 last year. And I feel like he wanted his revenge.

53:45The 200 is his baby. I feel like he want the 200 more than the 100.

53:49Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, I think so too. To be a four-time, I mean, he's already three-peated, so now he wants the four, something that no man on the track has ever done. Well, I think Usain is done for 200. He got DQ'd in 2011. That was just 100. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, let's talk about you. Yes, sir. You had a whereabout violation that you were possibly contesting. I don't know if you're still going to contest that. I'm still contesting. I ain't doing no wrong, so my people are still fighting for all that. Okay. But they said you're the first, if I'm not mistaken, track and field athlete to be a part of the enhanced game yes and enhanced means break a world record with enhancing i mean obviously on the protocol if you're trying to fight to say well you know what i did nothing wrong this was just a whereabout i mean uh uh i'm sorry i didn't give you say i was in miami and i was supposed to be in la or i was in the bahamas and i was supposed to be over here why would you why would you take this why would you do the enhanced game come test Test me.

54:51You know what I'm saying? Come test me. I'm not tripping. You can come to my house any second, any minute, any hour. Come test me. I'm not worried about no mistest, no nothing. Come test me. I've been clean my whole entire career. You should come test me. Only thing about signing up to this game, make money, protect my future. Equity is everything. Ownership is everything for me. And they did the exact job. I got ownership. And a lot of track athletes, when they get done with this sport, they don't got nothing to go home to. I've been to two Olympic games and been world champion, right? So for me, my understanding is I got family to feed.

55:29I'm going home. You know what I'm saying? Guess what? If I go call somebody and tell me to give me$200 ,000, go get a job. I ain't never had no job. You know what I'm saying? Only thing I know is my feet run. You know what I'm saying? So nobody's going to tell me how to make money and protect my family. My bloodline is dependent on me. I'm the first one to make it out. And my whole job is continue to, if I make$100 million, I'm going to continue to make$100 million each and every year. So my whole job is protect my bloodline.

55:58Shannon Sharpe:So explain to me, tell me this, Frank. So tell me how the whereabouts, do you, okay, so you give them locations of where you're going to be. They call you or do you put something in right at the beginning of the year and says, okay, this is, I have a residency here in Texas. I have a residency in Florida and I have X, Y, and Z. So how did the whereabouts, how does this work? so whereabouts is basically we fill out each quarter they gotta know all your location they gotta know if i'm here where they gotta know everywhere so so it's basically every quarter you fill out where you're gonna be but the problem with that you never know where you're gonna be okay life is life so it's just like you just gotta give them an hour they come after hours sometimes they come when they want to simple as that so basically for me it just feel like i'm in prison My dad been in jail My dad been in prison He's still on parole He don't got to do Half of the shit I'm doing To maintain a paycheck Hey, um Yeah Hey, Fred Basically that's the same thing With us in the off season, huh?

56:58It don't matter where you are They always have a test Where you at?

57:01Shannon Sharpe:Yes Man, I don't like that It don't matter We a Fred But I remember One off season It might have been After that 2005, 2006 season It didn't matter where I was But, you know, the problem with football and track, y 'all still maintain y 'all contract. Okay, okay, okay. We don't. No? No. Oh, so in other words, you only... Once you get suspended, you get no money. Like, USATF spent my medical stuff. So, what if somebody like me, like, I'm got to go get money, regardless. You know what I'm saying? Like, we don't get nothing. Like, track and field not paying me. Sponsorship paying me. Okay. You know what I'm saying?

57:42Have you lost any of your endorsements? I don't got no endorsements. So what people are talking about is make money at all costs and protect my kids. Wow. So I don't care what nobody say. They're not feeding none of them. They're not even feeding me.

57:58Shannon Sharpe:So let me ask you this. You said you want a chance to push your limits. So you say they can come test you now. You know if you take part of this, Fred, you're probably going to get a lifetime ban. Yo, yo, guess what? It's soon happening. Go on and do what you got to do. Hey, just like they got people, I got people. And I'm blessed. And I'm highly favored of the man above. I like it. Do you think if you were to go ahead and take this process, how do you think Fred Curley is going to be remembered? Because like I said, Fred, there's not a whole lot of men. I mean, you an NCAA champ. You went to the 400, 200.

58:44Shannon Sharpe:I'm still in the testing pool. Okay. I'm still in the regular government body testing pool. Okay. So let me ask you a question. Do they do blood and urine? They do both. I just got a piss test today. I'm not tripping. Yeah, you're going to be good. You're going to be good. You're going to be good. You see the problem? I feel like the problem is they're scared to pay the athletes. You know what I'm saying? so they they can't control us when you're trying to make other form of income you know i'm saying so if they can't control what you got in your pocket how are they selling that you got the coaches and stuff making more than the athletes wow you got agent making more than the athletes you got president making more than the athletes are they protecting the athletes you got athletes that can't get sponsorship you got athletes that working the job to maintain their livelihood.

59:41Yeah. So at the end of the day, it's protecting myself because they don't care about me. It don't matter how much money I make with endorsements. That stuff ends. Right. And without endorsement, we're not surviving. Right.

59:57Shannon Sharpe:So what's routine pay for Diamond League? They say, well, Fred, we want you to come contest the 100 meters. What does a Fred Curley get? What does a guy, obviously, Usain Bolt with a special circumstance? I feel like every year has been different. Everything has been, like, I can't tell you on a day-to-day, it's wherever the meet got, or whatever the meet think is the main event of that championship. Oh, okay. So, I can't, like, every meet is not the same. Right. Like, the only thing that's the same. It might be the 100, it might be the hurdles, it might be the 200, it might be the 400. Okay. And I'm an American, so America lives different from Europeans.

1:00:37Okay. Like, we got to live. You know what I'm saying? Nobody come into my rescue and ask me if I got this or got that. Like, nobody care. Like, people are going to live on their regular life. If I go dead broke right now, if I go, oh, no, I don't got it. So it's protect my future, protect my kids. You know what I'm saying? My legacy, my legacy. I did everything in this sport. I'm still doing everything in this sport.

1:01:07Shannon Sharpe:So let me ask you this. You still, you say you're still in, you're still in the testing pool. So now you didn't go to the worlds. So are you still training? So what, so what, what is it now? What, what do you do now? Because basically I don't know if there's anything after the world. And so the season is basically over. Are you getting ready for next? Are you going to do the indoor season? So world, so world. So I, I, I'm not, I'm suspended right now. Preview suspended. so they i'm still because texting okay yeah so i'm not basically banned as yet but they suspended me for competition okay so right my lawyer's fighting fighting that so right now i forever retraining i'm so you just never stop doing what you do just because of this you never know you always got to be prepared for what's what's coming let me ask you this why did you i mean you're great 400 you're great you you are a great you was on pace to be one of the greatest 400 meters what made what made you decide to go to the what made you decide to drop down and do the 100 see like the um 2019 actually changed everything my coach left me in 2019 to go get a degree overseas 2020 i was without a coach 2021 i was without a coach until like a couple of that's when I moved to Miami and started training with Coach Joey.

1:02:30I was still doing 400 training, but a 400 training, you got to have somebody there just to push you. The 400 just started getting born. Then all of a sudden, I was just like, let me just try this. My ankle got rolled and stuff. Then I was running on a hurt leg. That's when God blessed me. I said, I don't know what's next. Then that's when the 100 just came. I ran 100 at a track meet in Florida. and that's when repetition started becoming easy. And that's when I dropped my first nine. I'm like, I'm going to the Olympics. Yeah, I'm running the 100 at the Olympics this year. And a lot of people questioned me around me.

1:03:10Even my coach questioned me at the time. But at the end of the day, I'm always going to believe in my self-ability. I won't get into something if I know I'm not going to be good at it.

1:03:21Shannon Sharpe:Because it's rare. Now, we see people do the four, drop down to the two because of the strength training. So you're really good. We see people do the two, drop down to the hundred. I think, what was the guy? He went to LSU, Xavier. He won the 400-100. X-Man. Yeah. X-Man. He won the four and the one and the SEC at LSU. Yeah. And so he was having a promise. So I don't know if I've ever seen anybody do what you've done. But it's the times that's most impressive. To go sub 44, to go sub 19-8, to go sub 9-8. For me. Do you know anybody else that's ever done that? Yeah, I do. Besides yourself? No, I don't know nobody.

1:04:05But for me, it's all about people telling me I can't. I hate the word I can't. That would make me want to do it even more. Oh, you can't do this. You can't do that. I heard that plenty of times when I'm younger so that's why I'm going to go do it. And every time somebody say I can't, I've been successful. And hey, you know what I'm saying? So I can't complain about what God gave me in my heart to do. He pushed me to greater things. So when somebody says I can't, that's when I'm going to do it. Just like I would moth on Ocho Cinco right now. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Dang, I don't want to talk about that.

1:04:42Hold on, hold on. Hey, um. Hey, Unk, you know why he ran sub 44, right? Well, you chasing him? Nah, ask him who he trained with. Yo, that was, yo, he came to the track like one or two times. Ask him who he trained with, huh? He came to the track. You got him, Ocho? You seen Brad in the phone? Hey, flew by him. Yo, you know what happened? Ocho, you fast. He started training for bots and because I beat him so bad. Hey, Unk, he flew by him. He was like, I didn't know you was that fast to be this old. I was like, yeah, I'm like that.

1:05:13Shannon Sharpe:so if this if this band is lifted I don't think there's anything next year but the USA's and then there's the world's in the 27 and then you got the Olympics in 28 so what is your immediate plans? I'm still running I'm still running the game I got a salary okay I got a salary I got equity in the company so I'm still running and still run freely you know what I'm saying people can't deny me of my success like I said I ain't really miss no test all the missed tests I miss I would add track meet so I'm not caring about none of what people say but people gotta go into the details and stuff see they not popping people on drugs they popping people with whereabouts so they not really doing their job and guess what I got drug tests the next day after no missed tests I'm not caring about no missed tests I know what's really going down.

1:06:12And we explained to them, too. Just because I'm a mayor. Just because I'm... Go ahead, Fred. Go ahead. Sorry to cut you off. Go ahead. Just because, like, I had a rough year. And I can't complain. You know what I'm saying? So it's just like... Just gotta do better.

1:06:34Shannon Sharpe:Either the situation... They don't give you a heads up. They just need you. so they call you stay an hour before they're going to show up. It's no calls. Oh, they just pop up. Yeah, it's no calls to none of that. What? They got to tell you. See, at least they let us know. It's none of that. It's none of that. That's not fair. It's none of that. See, the problem is track and field are not making no money. That's how they make the money. That's why UFC dropped them. Yeah, the drug test. Yeah, the out of test. So they're not really doing their due diligence and stuff with everything.

1:07:14Shannon Sharpe:I heard you keep saying Americans, Americans. Do you feel that this system is set up to catch Americans while others, countries, possibly? Because everybody don't test like the Americans. Right now, I feel like we live in a time where the OGs and stuff back in the day fucked it up for us. Sorry for cussing, but they messed it up for us. Okay. How so? You already know. Just the OGs messed it up for us. Okay. So I don't care about getting tested. You can test me every day, every minute of the hour. So it's just like the OGs messed it up for us. so in other words it's like those guys were like well i wasn't there and i'm sorry and so that's why they put the whereabout clause in because when they wanted to test guys said well i was over here i was over there so now they make y 'all every quarter so every three months you guys got to feel like well i'm gonna be in miami i'm gonna be in la i'm gonna be in texas i'm gonna be in georgia no no we gotta give them every address if i go out to eat i gotta put that address in like right now i gotta put this address every minute they can show up oh no come on now they doing too much now.

1:08:21Yo, I'm telling you, that's how it happened. It's like we in prison. Like, you got every hour, everywhere you go, you got to do the training block, you got to give them an hour. If you leave the house and go down the street, hey, they got to know everything. And that's what people don't realize. Like, I don't care. You can come and text me anytime, but like, filling this stuff out every minute, every second, it's just like, bro, y 'all doing too much that that's a big of a privacy and stuff too when we go overseas we got to fill out every minute every second everywhere you know i'm saying everywhere you go if i go to a funeral right now they got to know where i'm at at the funeral people popping people popping up at restaurants to test us people popping up at airport to test us damn yeah so it's basically like we in a plantation wow and the outside world don't know what's actually going on because you got people that actually own the stuff but never getting caught because they're getting paid off.

1:09:18You got active cases right now in track and field that USADA and WADA is not doing nothing about because they're getting paid off.

1:09:31Damn. That's a pretty strong accusation, Fred. There's no assiduction. The facts is the facts. Simple as that. And they know it. They got cases going on right now. You can come and text me any day of the week and I'm not tripping. I can show you my, my, my, my, yo, we get us, every time we do a drug test, stuff come to my phone. Negative, negative, negative, negative.

1:09:56Shannon Sharpe:I'm not tripping. Have you thought about transitioning to football? You won't get it tested as much? No, baseball. It's guaranteed money. Fred, you ain't played basketball in 20 years. You ain't been hitting no pitch. I've been playing. Yo, I don't got the, yo, yo, I can play. What position are you going to play, Fred? Center field. You know they're hitting center field, right? Yeah. You got to come to the plate. Yo, you know my speed? I know how to catch. Hey, I know you're here somewhere in this county where I'm at. You can come check me out. Hold on. You can hit the ball? Yes, I can hit the ball.

1:10:34You in Miami now? No, I'm not in Miami. I'm talking to Unk. I was going to say let go to the Batcave. This weekend. Oh, you going to be here? Yeah. Oh, you know, I was a 5 '2". Like, you know, they would try to draft me. Yo, you say you good at everything. No, I promise. I promise. You know, the Marlins tried to draft me in 97, not a high school. Yo, y 'all Florida guys, y 'all got to stop. No, for real. Fred, that's like when I beat you when we was out there training. Like, you was like, oh, my God.

1:11:03Shannon Sharpe:I know one of the greatest runners in America here. I know you ain't letting this man come off the street and beat you, Fred. I did. Yo, you talk about Ocho. Hey, he thinks he good at everything. He thought he was about to get a soccer ticket, too. Look at him. He thinks he good at everything, man. Fred, be honest. I'm right here. I didn't beat you when we ran 250s. I ain't never done no 250 in training in years. So what are you talking about? What we was doing that day? What were we doing? I think, what, 150? We were doing something? What were we doing? I ran it with you. I don't know. What were we doing?

1:11:36Whatever it was, I blew by your ass. I know that. I just want to know what we're doing. I can't remember. Hey, we can line it up this weekend. Oh, hey, I got my camera ready. Well, bring your camera out. I've been training. I don't know. You've been training? Hey, you just, I train every day. Yeah, you probably be like your glasses wopsided when I get done with you. Okay, okay. Keep that same energy. Matter of fact, I feel so good, I give you five meters. Huh? Huh? If you go 100 meters. I give you 99 meters, and we go 100 meters.

1:12:11Shannon Sharpe:What you running on, Joe? You want him in a 40? You want 40, 60, 100, 200, 400? You know what? I don't want to handicap him. I want to give him a chance to actually try to catch up. So we'll go 80 meters. 80 meters, how much? The first 60, you done. You ain't no chance. You can't even be T.O. Hey, that's my dog. That's my dog. You can't even be T.O. That's my dog. But listen, I'm a different horse. I'm a different thoroughbred. I mean, I beat you. You are a world-class athlete. You're a world-class sprinter, and I smoked you. And I'm just being honest in front of the people. The world needs to know.

1:12:52I wouldn't throw it up if you didn't say that. The world needs to know that you're the biggest cap in the history of sports. I ain't even got no – I got a cap right here. That's about it.

1:13:04Shannon Sharpe:Fred, we're going to get you out of here on this one. Hand the cap to 200 for us. You got Noah. The Jamaican ran really good today. He broke it down, but he looked really good. And then obviously you got Tobogo. You got Kenny Benary. How do you see the podium?

1:13:24The podium. I feel like Noah's going to take it. Tobogo second and Jamaican third. Wow. Wow. Wow. But I believe somebody's injured and three of them. So I don't know. Three of them look injured, but you never know. You can tell they're injured just by watching? Yeah, I'm an athlete. I'm like a track athlete. So you can tell people forcing their runs and stuff too. Right, right. so so those are four people gonna be on the podium regardless but you never know right

1:14:10Shannon Sharpe:so you think Noah's gonna take it because I feel like he got something to prove because of what happened last year but you never know Tobago a sneaky mother

1:14:26man

1:14:27Shannon Sharpe:Noah came out with the shorts today I don't think I've ever seen Noah running shorts No one's running the shorts, but I feel like he got something to prove. So I feel like we're going to see some nasty stuff in Tokyo in a couple of hours. Wow. So you think he's still seething from losing that 200 in the Olympics, getting the bronze, because he really wants the gold medal. I think the gold, but like you said, the 200 is his baby. And he has yet to get the medal. He's standing atop of the podium at the Olympics. And so he's like coming back. Look here. He's got something to prove. He's got something to prove.

1:15:06And definitely in the deuce. I feel like he's got something to prove. And I feel like he's going to show the world what Noah's always been Noah. So I feel like he's got something to prove in the two. But Tobago is always sneaky. He's probably faking like he got injured and just show up.

1:15:25Shannon Sharpe:What kind of time do you think you're looking at? I mean, he ran 1951, which was the World League. I feel like they're going to be between 19-3 and 19-7. Woo! Wow. I feel like it's going to be something fast. Wow. Wow. It's going to be something fast. And I won't be surprised 19-2, but I feel like 19-3 to 19-7, those are going to be the winning times. You think they're in that kind of condition? I feel like, hey, that's the last race of the year. He did what he got to do, and some of them probably jogged some of the races. I feel like history always be determined when championship come. The real dog come at championship, and no approval over the years.

1:16:08He always show up, so he probably going to show up.

1:16:12Shannon Sharpe:How do you like the women? Sharika Jackson looked good. She ran$21.99. You got MJ, Melissa Jefferson, a wooden. I feel like Melissa going to win the$200. She didn't get out. Hey, she set some people up this year. Ooh. She definitely did. I can't, like, my one is, like, that's her. You know what I'm saying? The other two, Sharika is going to probably be on the podium. And the third, I don't know about the third because it's all over the place. Because you got some faces that fighting just to run some of them times in the semifinal. Right. All right. Fred, thanks for joining us tonight. We wish you the best of luck in your appeal of the suspension.

1:16:57Shannon Sharpe:Whatever your endeavors are, we wish you the best of luck, man. Stay healthy and come back and join us soon. Yes, sir. Appreciate it. Appreciate you, bro. Yeah. Fred Curley joins us tonight. He's a very unique athlete, Ochoa, as I said before. To run sub 44, to run sub 19-8, to run sub 9-8. He's special. He's special. And to drop down from the 4 all the way down to the 100. like I said we've seen them drop down from 4 to 2 we've seen guys go 2 to 4 go to 2 to 1 but we've seen guys do 4 or 8 but we've never seen I mean to do this and do it at this level that's one thing I mean doing it is one thing doing it at that level is something entirely different so hopefully everything works out for him and he'll be back running soon I didn't know all the things what he's saying about all the showing up and the testing and not making any money.

1:17:58Shannon Sharpe:I didn't know anything about that, but I'm glad we were able to get this thing done. When you're teeing off and your clients are watching, it's on.
