In short
The episode is a sports talk segment focused on three NBA storylines: (1) the 76ers’ Game 6 win over the Celtics and what it means for Game 7, (2) the Rockets’ success without Kevin Durant (KD) and the implications for their Lakers matchup, and (3) Draymond Green’s comments about how Steve Kerr limited his offensive role. It also includes discussion of Anthony Davis being on the trading block again.
Guests/backgrounds
The transcript doesn’t clearly identify the guests by name or provide bios. It features multiple hosts/speakers (repeated “Uncle Joe” and “Ocho” style voices), but no formal guest introductions or backgrounds are given.
Key claims and notable examples
- 76ers vs Celtics: Tyrese Maxey scored 30 (with Paul George 23 and Joel Embiid 19/10/8). The Celtics were described as “out of rhythm,” with Philly winning largely through urgency and interior dominance; the Celtics’ three-point shooting was a major concern (Philly allowed fewer makes than usual).
- Rockets without KD: KD is reported out again (bruised knee tendon history; bone bruise in ankle). The hosts argue the Rockets look more free-flowing and harder to game-plan for without KD, citing better movement and familiarity among players.
- Draymond Green on Steve Kerr: Green believes Kerr prevented him from becoming a bigger offensive weapon, while still crediting Kerr for his defensive success and role on four championship teams.
- Anthony Davis: mentioned as being “on the trading block again,” but no details are provided in the excerpt.

2:30Shannon Sharpe:Tyrese Maxey sparked the 76ers game six surge with 30 points, forcing the game seven versus the Celtics. After falling behind 3-1 in the series, Philly has battled all the way back, powered by its big three. Tyrese Maxey led the charge, 30 points. Paul George had 23 points, and Joel Embiid delivered an almost triple-double, 19 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists, and they got BJ Edskine chipped in with 14. Kelly Oubre also had 14. But this was a total team effort tonight, and they thoroughly, thoroughly dominated the Celtics. They basically, hey, Missoula pulled this guy and said, look, man, we ain't got nothing.
3:09Shannon Sharpe:Let's go ahead and save our legs. Let's get ready for game seven. This one's over. Let's get ready for game seven. Go ahead, Joe, because I'm looking. How did Philly make this thing? The last two games, they've made it look very, very easy.
3:25Chad Johnson:Okay, Ocho, I told y 'all it's a fine line between winning and losing postseason. You look at Boston. They was up their 3-1 lead. Embiid comes back, have a hell of a game in Boston. It's going to be hard. I know Boston has came in Philly and won a game. They shot the lights out. But I knew it was going to be hard for Boston to win tonight. Not only that, Boston don't even seem like they're in rhythm no more. You know, they seem like they're out of rhythm. It's a little hesitation from some guys. Yeah. And they're just not shooting the ball great, bro. I think the sense of urgency that Philly is playing with, knowing that they had a chance to get a game seven in Boston.
4:06Chad Johnson:Bro, they came out. I thought Paul George was great.
4:09Shannon Sharpe:Paul George was sensational.
4:11Chad Johnson:He's been solid this whole series. Ocho. He's been solid this whole series. Maxie, I love Maxie being aggressive. get downhill. Oh, man. And MB, 19 and 10. I think his presence alone helps so much because if he don't settle for so many jump shots,
4:31Shannon Sharpe:they can't stop him down there. He get the ball within 10 feet of the basket, he unstoppable. You either getting the shot or you filing him.
4:40Chad Johnson:He too much, man. He too much. Boston has no answer for him. And if Jalen Brown or Jason Tatum don't explode or Peyton Pritchett. Right. They ain't got a chance to beat these boys. If they're going to score in the 90s, this is going to play in Philly.
4:56Shannon Sharpe:Well, they got to get to the 20. You know what the problem is? Three-point shooting. If they can't make 18 to 22 threes, they're not winning. They're not winning because everything is pretty good. Look how many they got up tonight, though, Joe. They got up 41. They only made 12. Normally, they get up 50, and they're making somewhere between 18 and 23 of them. Right.
5:17Chad Johnson:Yeah, that was the problem. Uncle Joe, the last time they played, obviously, Embiid had a really good game. But again, today, you would expect them not to have a bad shooting outing again like they did last game. But hell, the same thing happened again. And Joe, you said that it would probably repeat itself. But you think with somebody like Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown and Pritchard, like somebody at some point would be able to shoot a little bit more efficient than they did the last game. and really everybody really repeated basically what they did the last game. And again, they lost. Yeah. That got them tight.
5:54Maxie, man.
5:56Shannon Sharpe:Straight downhill. He got to beat the bird. Hey, I got to have it.
6:01Chad Johnson:Yeah. By any means necessary. Paul George is going to beat Paul George. Not the Paul George we're used to seeing from back in the day, but he's still efficient from the field. And that got them and beat. Beat nasty.
6:13Shannon Sharpe:You can tell when Paul George is feeling good because when he come down on the break and pull up from three,
6:19Chad Johnson:yeah, that quick joint, he shoot that joint, that quick one like that there, oh, yeah. He let it go. Hey, he don't even bother following through, Joe. Yeah, that's when you know you got a nice rhythm, you got it going. Hey, look, I wonder is Tatum having a problem, you know, with that leg or with that calf muscle because I know they were doing a little work on him. I seen him kind of shaking his leg a little bit, you know, Because y 'all got to remember now, he only came back, what, the last 20-something games? I think he's probably up to about 22 games, Joe, since he's been back. Yeah. So, and he's playing big minutes.
6:56Chad Johnson:It ain't like, you know, he playing 20 minutes, 15, 17 minutes. Like, he playing 30. You know, I know he only played 28 tonight, but for the most part, you know, he's been playing some decent minutes, bro. So, you know, at some point, all the work that he's put in at some point, you know, maybe it's catching up to him a little bit. They might be tired. Look at the free throws.
7:20Shannon Sharpe:Jason Tatum missed two. Jalen Brown missed four. Hey, everybody tired. And normally they're a lot more aggressive than this. They only shot 16 free throws. Yeah.
7:34Chad Johnson:You're right. I think at this point of any series, everybody is a little fatigued. This is part of it. This is why you see such a lethargic game. You don't really see a whole lot of high scoring. And, man, hey, hey, Boston got their hands full now because Philly done won two in a row. Yeah, they got confidence. They got momentum going into Boston game seven. All they need, if one of these dudes from Philly, if MB have another hell of a game, which he can't. You know, a Paul George, who, yeah, and Maxie. We know what Maxie's capable of. Yeah. I think Philly is in a great, they in a great spot, bro.
8:11Chad Johnson:They got a hell of a chance to really do something special because all of us had Boston at least making it to the finals. Yeah, yeah. So, who y 'all got? Game seven. You think Philly, this would be considered an upset since everybody had really the Celtics going to the finals.
8:32Shannon Sharpe:This is a 2-7.
8:33Chad Johnson:The question is, y 'all think Philly can beat these boys three games in a row? Yeah. Because that's ultimately what they gotta do to move on.
8:42Shannon Sharpe:Because first of all, Joel and Bede, they gotta find a way to shut his ward off. Because you remember in game five, Joe, they went to him like five straight positions down on the block and he scored every damn time.
8:56Chad Johnson:Went crazy.
8:58Shannon Sharpe:And then now you got Maxie, you don't let Maxie out. Well, Maxie kind of came out last game during game five. But now Paul George has come to the party. And Paul George has been playing well. This was kind of his breakout game, but he's been pretty consistent for the entire game. BJ Eskimo, he had the 30. Remember, he had that 30-10 game? But they got their work cut out for him. And I think the job like Oubre and Paul George, they're doing a great job of defending JT and JB. They're making them work. They're making some tough shots. They're making them fake shots. They're all NBA. They're all-star players.
9:33Shannon Sharpe:But I got to make it as difficult as I possibly can on you.
9:37Chad Johnson:Yeah, I agree with that. But at the same time, Uncle Ocho, I don't want Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown, half of their shots to be threes. That's just me personally, bro. I know they've been winning, you know, live by the three, die by the three. Yeah. But the middie is there. It's not like it's not there. You know, they got too much in their bag, bro, to not be able to shoot the middie, shoot them little touch shots. Because, you know, everything ain't going to be a three and everything ain't going to be a dunk or a layup. Yeah. You know, the great ones had an in-between game. Because when it comes down in the fourth quarter, four minutes left on the clock and it's a nut, you know, nut and tuck game, you need guys who can get to spots and rise up and make shots, bro, make tough shots.
10:22Chad Johnson:And both of those dudes can do it. They've shown that they can do it. I want to see them. Yeah, I know that they can shoot the three. Some of those threes be a little ill-advised to me. Of course. They be so contested. They be two, three steps behind a three. Right. When you making them, okay, cool. But when you ain't making them. You know what it seems like, Joe?
10:42Shannon Sharpe:It seems like they always trying to break the opposing team's back. That's what happens when you take those shots right there. Those are backbreakers because we've seen them. They take those tough threes and the opposing team just like, oh, Lawrence. now you don't make that you get run outs you right
11:04Chad Johnson:you right cause it's long rebounds that lead straight to fast breaks pew we out and when Maxie get it he going straight to the club he putting pressure if you don't get back as a team and build a wall that he sees when he's coming up court bro he's squeezing through them cracks
11:22Shannon Sharpe:yeah you definitely gotta deter him yeah He basically, he's like Giannis. You better get back because Giannis is trying to get to the rim. And you know they built that wall. When they played Toronto, Toronto built a wall. Miami, they would build a wall. Boston builds a wall. So, look, you can climb over it, but your damn show ain't going to slip through the creases.
11:43Chad Johnson:Hey, but the only thing too, Uncle Joe, Joe, what you say about Tatum and Jalen Brown adding something else to their game since the threes aren't falling. I mean, every time we see them play, they do one thing. The recipe is what the recipe is. They've been cooking one way the whole time, and it's really not going to change, especially in game seven. They're going to go back and revert to what they're used to doing, and what they're used to doing is in getting those wins. That's up and chucking that goddamn three. If it's falling, it's falling. If it's not, they're going to live and die by it.
12:16Chad Johnson:Yeah, I know, Ojo, but it's just, you know, there are so many opportune times in the game where you can make the game easy, bro. You know what I mean? Like, both of them guys, meaning Tatum and Brown, you know, they handling the pick and roll. And if you go under, they'll shoot it two, three steps behind the three. Those are tough shots to make. I ain't saying they can't make them. Hell, they done made them throughout the season. But this is the highest level basketball. We in game six. Everybody a little fatigued. Legs a little gone. Hell, we playing every other day. Hey, man, we got to mix it up a little bit.
12:54Chad Johnson:I ain't saying don't take threes. But them two dudes, they got too much in their bag, bro, just to be selling half of their shots be threes. They got to find a way to get into the teeth of the defense a little more and shoot the middies, draw a few more fouls. You know what I mean? Get some other guys some easy buckets. Because that's the one thing that I see with Tatum and Brown. They're going to go get theirs. You know what I mean? But they're better when they get these others involved. Yeah. The game isn't just predicated on Brown and Tatum beating you. You know what I mean? Yeah, they'll have great numbers, but you need the Peyton Pritchard.
13:29Chad Johnson:You need the houses. You need these guys to step up. They ain't got to be great. You know, 10, 12, 14 points, you know, somewhere up in there, you know, to kind of keep things at bay. Yeah. Where you can keep the game close, and at the end, you give it to your closers and let them close the games. You know what I mean? I just feel like it's a lot, a lot of ill-advised threes, bro.
13:51Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, it's just hard. I mean, when you've gotten this far doing it that way, Joe, it's just hard to change midstream. It is. It is. Tyrese Maxx had 30 points, five assists, zero turnovers, two steals. He was three of five. Joel Embiid had 19 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists. He's averaging 26, eight, and seven in the postseason. He's been phenomenal. He's come back. He's been a difference in this series. He's the one guy that, A, we need a bucket. it's a post-ball game, I can dump it down to him. I got to have it. I can dump it down to him. And you've got to come with a double team because if you don't, Vucevic is not enough for him.
14:30Shannon Sharpe:Quader is not enough for him. You've got to come with a double team. And I got confidence that Paul George, Tyrese Maxey, Edgecombe, Oubre, one of those guys. Because if you think about it, Oubre is looking to die to the basket. He's going to be in that dunker spot. If you think about it, he's constantly in the dunker spot.

14:46Chad Johnson:Yeah, that's where a lot of his points come from. Hustle points, garbage points. just doing a little bit of everything. But I think that the pick and roll with Maxie and Embiid is so good, fellas, that because Embiid is such a pretty good shooter, it keeps his man away from the basket, which allows, you know, lanes for Maxie and Edgecombe to kind of get in the paint and do a little damage, if you know what I mean. You know, because you got to respect Embiid when he out there on the three. Whether he making them or not, hell, you got to respect them. You can't give no dare shots. And that's a big-ass wall that's sitting to pick.
15:23Shannon Sharpe:You got to go around there. That man, seven foot tall, 300 pounds, 300-plus pounds.
15:29Chad Johnson:That's why when you see them play that little pitch and catch where they throw it to him and he pitch it back to him, and when Paul George come off that pick and roll with him, Maxie come off, they be wide open. They shoot that three right off the pick. You can tell they practice it, bro, because they do it almost every time. You're right. 20:20Shannon Sharpe:The Rockets have beaten the Lakers twice in a row without Kevin around on the floor, and they're going to need to do it again to extend it to game seven. KD will be out again and miss Game 6 Friday, according to ESPN. KD played 41 minutes on Game 2, lost 101-94. He missed Game 1 because of a bruised tendon in his right knee. He suffered a bone bruise in his left ankle late in Game 2. The latest injury typically comes with a return-to-play timetable of at least two weeks. Game 7, if necessary, will take place Sunday, 12 days after Durant got hurt. So a return to the series would be a rush. All things be, and this is not a knock on KD.
20:58Shannon Sharpe:They're playing better without KD on the floor because these are the guys that played last year when KD wasn't there. So they're familiar with them. Shingoon is familiar. Shepard is familiar. Smith and Eason and Kogi and Thompson, they're familiar with one another. Look how they move when KD's not on the court. These last two games when KD hadn't played, now go back and look at game one and two.
21:30Chad Johnson:Yeah, it's a big difference. It's because I think they're a lot more dangerous without KD because like I've told y 'all before, it's hard to really game plan for them. The Lakers has had great success against the Rockets throughout the season. We've seen it. How they guard KD, double him off pick and roll, double him as soon as he come across court. Well, they're not doing that now. So now guys are able to play freely. And if the young Rockets team makes shots, Anke Ojo, hell, they're a tough team to beat because they gain confidence. It's when they're not making shots can they still defend at a high level.
22:05Yeah.
22:05Chad Johnson:That's the problem you have with these young teams. So I can see the Lakers winning tomorrow if this young Rockets team don't come out with their same energy and effort. And if they don't make shots, bro, if they don't make shots, their defense ain't as high as it needs to be. You feel me? You know how it go. You know a guy make a shot or two, get back, get back, get back. Let's D up, lock up.
22:28Shannon Sharpe:Yes. It ain't no fun playing defense. You done missed five, six shots in a row. Everybody's enthusiastic when they see the ball go in the basket. Now all of a sudden you're playing for one another. The crowd is engaged. Yeah. But the Lakers are going to have to come out with a certain level of desperation and not look like, well, we still got one in the bag and we can go home on Sunday. Because you don't know. You're a rolled ankle away. And now it's over. Plus, two things need to happen. They need to come out with a very sense of urgency. and Joe and Ocho, if you go back and study the Lakers, this has always been a problem for them.
23:09Shannon Sharpe:That damn third quarter.
23:12Chad Johnson:Yeah, at the beginning of the third, they always played lackadaisical defensively. I say one thing that can make the difference in the game tomorrow. What Aiden are we getting? What Aiden are we going to get? Are we going to get the Aiden that went 9 for 12 for 19? or we're going to get the one they give you six points? You're going to have to look at the first five minutes. It's going to tell me everything. That's it. The first five minutes of the game, I can tell who's bringing it and who out there play playing. Yeah. Yeah, the first five minutes is going to tell you.
23:53Shannon Sharpe:You know what it is, guys? Look at these both guys. Both of these guys are finesse players. So everybody's going to be able to get whatever they want. It's just a matter of the ball goes in the basket. Aiden's going to be able to get somewhere between 8 and 10 feet from the basket. Shingun is trying to bump his way down to get to 8, 10 feet from the basket. Most of your PM got big guys, got great touches. You look at Jokic. You see a lot of Shinguns, Joe Inocho. He flips it up there and the ball, boom, boom, boom, boom, into the basket. So you're going to be able to get what you want. It's just a matter of whether the ball goes in.
24:27Shannon Sharpe:But I agree, he's going to have to play well, and LeBron is going to have to – it's like, look, Ulster Reeves will probably start the game tomorrow, and they'll put Kennard on the bench. That's what I think. That's going to be the difference in the game. I think the starting lineup is going to be Rui, LeBron, Aiton, Smart, Reeves.
24:58Chad Johnson:I can see that, yeah. Yeah, he got his feet wet because he been out for at least a month. And he didn't shoot the ball great, but he still was effective. I think he will be a lot better. Yeah, there you go. Not only that, not only is he attacking, but he's such a great pick and roll player, Uncle Ojo. You know what I mean? I'm talking about from getting in there, he can shoot the midi. He can shoot the floater. He can get to the rack. He can spray it out for three. You know what I mean? He can hit Aiden for the lob. I just think his IQ for the game is so high that it gives you – that's added value that the Lakers desperately need it.
25:35Chad Johnson:You know what I mean? They need an AR to come back, bro.
25:38Shannon Sharpe:But the problem that you run into, and this is the problem that you have with Luke Kennard and you have with AR, they get attacked. Whoever they guard it, go look at it. Look at Eason. Oh, yeah. Look at Kogi. Look at who they guard. They get attacked. Yeah.
25:56Chad Johnson:They gonna do that They going at them boys The Rockets ain't scared of them defensively The Rockets ain't scared of them period Yeah they done won the last Two games look they coming for blood Listen The one person they need to be scared of he not playing Who was that Luca Yeah oh yeah
26:19Shannon Sharpe:It's a wrap he ain't coming back But I think the thing is With KD in the ball game they stand around and watch ain't nobody moving ain't nobody moving in the dunking spot ain't nobody diving to the basket ain't none of that they just like stand around KD go ahead and do what you do bro
26:35Chad Johnson:I think that's and I agree with you and I also think that's a little bit of KD's fault too on Ocho because he handles the ball a lot when he's in and I think a lot of the times they have to put him off ball but to KD's credit it's hard to be off ball Ocho because you know your man going to deny you and you ain't going to be involved. They basically going to be playing four on four. You know what I mean? And as a guy who loves to score, KD ain't going for that, bro. It's like, okay, well, damn, if I come down and just run to the corner, Reed Shepard running the point, that could be four straight possessions.
27:16Chad Johnson:That's going to be four straight possessions. I know the ball ain't coming my way. You feel me? Right. So therefore, he has to go get the ball and bring it up sometimes to try to run pick and roll. But as soon as he tried to run that pick and roll, that's when they threw that double on him. You know what I mean? And now it kind of gets everybody a little out of whack because he'll hold on to it long enough to where, boom, as soon as he spread, whoever he spread to, you got to go into your bag or you got to shoot it. You know what I'm saying? So I think the Lakers has a great game plan when KD is playing.
27:46Chad Johnson:But when he's not playing, you got so many of these young guys out here who really hadn't been in these type of situations. Situations, yeah. Yeah, so we're going to put you under a lot of stress. You know what I mean? Making you make plays. And if they ain't making shots, bro, they don't compete the same. You know what I mean? Right. But you give them young boys life like they done had the past two games. Two games. Now they confident. I'm talking about coming in the game sick now. Out the roof. They confident so high, bro. Yeah. Hey, I don't know how it's going to go tomorrow. They could blow the Lakers out if you just want to keep it 100.
28:21Chad Johnson:Yeah, you're right. You're right. I mean, you know, it's funny for KD being one of the greatest scorers of all time, how being as good as he is is almost a gift and a curse for the goddamn Rockets. In a way, it's a bad thing, you know, because the offense isn't as free-flowing, you know, when he's in the game. And then when he's not playing, it seems like everything is free-flowing.
28:45Shannon Sharpe:Because what teams force KD to do is make plays. KD has always been at his best when what? He's had someone making plays for him. Look at Russ. Look at Steph. Look at Harden. Look at Kyrie. So now we've flipped the roles, Ocho. Now you go make plays for everybody else. Nah, hell nah. No, no, no. You make plays for me. So you're asking him to do something. And he can do it on occasion. So I want people to, and he might get upset. But this is not what KD is. KD is not a playmaker.
29:16Chad Johnson:He's a shot maker. But the problem is, Unc, the problem is Van Fleet was hurt. Yes. That's the problem. But he didn't know that before he got there. He got there. He made the trade if he got hurt. All right, right. The problem is he didn't have anybody to facilitate the ball to him. Because KD could play off the ball with the best of us. Yes, but he needs somebody to make things for him.
29:39Shannon Sharpe:That's what he's had. The lion's share of his career. He's not like them, like Braun. LeBron has been the primary playmaker every year for 21 and a half years until they got Luka the last half of last year. And this year, LeBron has been the primary playmaker on every team he's been a part of from the day he set foot. So it's nothing to him to go back in this role and make plays for everybody else. That's why you see him. He get a triple-double. That's why you see him with eight and nine assists because this is what he's always done. So now we're taking – that's why KD can go anywhere and score 25 to 27 points because that's what he's always done.
30:16Now you take him and says, nah, go make plays and still get that number.
30:23Chad Johnson:Yeah, because KD ain't really the type to set the table, Uncle Ocho. Hell, he just come to eat. Yes. You hear me? Like, straight up. Meaning, I agree with what Unk said. You know, he's played with great point guards who can facilitate, who can score, who can get him involved. I ain't saying that they need to get him involved, But if you got a guy who can come across court and then you can get it to me in my spot, then, yeah, I can score 30 in my sleep. You feel me? But if I have to carry the ball handling duties and score, that's, you know, that's really not his forte at 37 years old, bro. That's why – You know what I mean?
31:02Shannon Sharpe:Look at all the guys. Look at all your great scores. Now look at their assist totals. Look at all the guys that have high assist totals. look at their scoring totals. There's one guy that's unique in that aspect. We don't need to mention his name, but we know who he is. That's a rarity that you find somebody like that can have 11 ,000, 12 ,000 assists with 40 ,000 points. That don't go, I mean, you're probably never going to see this again. I got to have that many points and that many assists and rebounds. And so now we, and that's what I want, KD, I don't want KD to be a scorer. I want him to be a playmaker.
31:47Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah. Because he scores the ball too easy, bro. He scores. Look, the game he came back, hell, he had 20 in the first half. Yes. You know, he can score the ball with the best of them.
31:59Shannon Sharpe:We all know that. And then what do they do? But if you put, hey, they let him play one-on-one. You can't let him play one-on-one. This is okay. When he gets the ball, we're going to come trapping. We're going to get the ball out of his hand. Nine turnovers.
32:12Chad Johnson:As soon as you come across half court, we coming with that trap. Yeah. And that trap not only makes you get a ball up, but it has you second-guessing yourself sometimes because you know it's coming, and then you think you see a crease, but hell, there's a man coming, and you can't really get into your stuff because you know if you go into your move and try to spin, it's going to be a guy right there to pluck you. He coming with the backside. Like you said. Yeah. Nine turnovers, bro. That's uncharacteristic for somebody like him. You don't want him just to have solely the ball-handling duties and score.
32:46Shannon Sharpe:It's just too much. So we'll see what they do tomorrow. It's going to be incumbent on LeBron. I think LeBron comes out. I think he's aggressive. I think having Austin Reeves, because him and Austin Reeves in the pick and roll are unbelievable. Austin Reeves can get all the way to the basket. I like Austin Reeves' aggressiveness. He might not make some shots, but I tell you what, he's going to attack the basket.
33:09Chad Johnson:Hey, Lakers got to limit them second chance points. One shot, one shot. They only get one shot and we get the rebound. We got to be gone. You get them, dude. Go ahead, Joe. You get them, dude, second chance shots. Hell, that's when they start to gain confidence and momentum. Next thing you know, hell, your ass going to be down 10.
33:28Shannon Sharpe:Look, LaRavia, he makes some boneheaded plays, but I love his effort. He do, man. I love his effort. And plus, he will defend. He's a big body that can rebound. The problem is, Canard, he's a better offensive weapon, but he's more of a liability on defense.
33:48Chad Johnson:On defense.
33:49Shannon Sharpe:So you need that. And Vanderbilt, if I'm Jared Vanderbilt, Joe, all I'm doing, I'm working on corner threes.
33:57Chad Johnson:Because he getting them.
33:58Shannon Sharpe:He getting wide open looks. Anytime LeBron's in the game, anytime anybody in the game, he's going to be able to get that skip. He's going to be able to get it because the guy's going to come. He's going to be wide open. I ain't working on nothing else. I can lay the ball up. I don't need to work on that. I'm getting up 500 threes in each corner every day. If you notice, I don't know, maybe you have, Joe. I've never seen him shoot a three from the top of the key. Everything is from like eight feet into the corner.
34:25Chad Johnson:Yeah. Well, y 'all do know the corner is the shortest three. That's the shortest three-pointer around the arc. so you know we always you know pretty much see that as the easiest three-pointer to make which I think it is obviously but you're right he gotta shoot two, three hundred shots a day I'm talking about tomorrow he gotta get him up cause he gonna get them shots and if I'm Houston hell I'm giving him them shots until you make about two of these
34:58Shannon Sharpe:until then I ain't gonna be running out there don't worry about him he with us Yeah. Hell no. Hey, you know what?
35:08Chad Johnson:He don't know it yet, but yeah, he'll with us. Hey, you know when somebody shoot? You ever hear somebody? Hell no. Yeah.
35:15Shannon Sharpe:That's why they be turning around all the time. When they make one, they be turning around, huh? Gotcha.
35:22Shannon Sharpe:Draymond Green believes he could have made more of an offensive mark on his individual level if Steve Kerr didn't prevent him from doing so. So as much as he's done for me basketball, a part of me thinks he's hindered me in my career and what I could have become. But what he's also helped me become, like you got to take the good with the bad, man. You know, when I think of who I am offensively as a player and who I became, I think part of that is due to him. I don't hold that against him. I'm forever grateful. And that still put me in position to be successful. And that's why I could become Draymond Green, despite of my offensive role on the team.
36:00Chad Johnson:I think. Hold on. Hey, Uncle Joe, is he saying he could have been more of an offensive weapon?
36:05Shannon Sharpe:Yes.
36:06Chad Johnson:More of an offensive weapon?
36:08Shannon Sharpe:He believes he could have still been the same defensive player, but more of an offensive player if Steve Kerr would have encouraged it or put him in a situation where he can't succeed. Now, we do remember, Joe, that game seven in the NBA finals, he was a assist short of a triple-double. He had 32-15-9, if I'm not mistaken. Yeah.
36:31Chad Johnson:He did. He did. I think when Draymond came to Golden State, Uncle Ocho, you know he was coming off the bench early. He wasn't starting.
36:41Shannon Sharpe:Yes, Mark Jackson, if I'm not mistaken, Mark Jackson had him coming off the bench.
36:45Chad Johnson:Yeah, he had him coming off the bench. I think Bogie was starting. Yeah, Bogie.
36:48Shannon Sharpe:He had somebody else at the court.
36:50Chad Johnson:Yeah.
36:50Shannon Sharpe:And remember, they also had Fester Cezilli.
36:54Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah. And I think Bogie got hurt. When Bogey got hurt, I think that's when Draymond started starting. But I think he knew what that team needed. Draymond did. You know, his energy, his effort. You got Klay and Steph who's shooting the blood out the ball. Man, if I can play the point forward to where I can push this rock and, you know, yeah, if they ain't guarding me, I can hand off to Steph, get Steph shots, get Klay shots. Hell, we're going to be a pretty good damn team if I play great defense. Yeah. Oh, you know who it was starting? You remember David Lee, the guy that got from the Knicks.
37:34Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, David Lee.
37:35Chad Johnson:That's what happened.
37:36Shannon Sharpe:David Lee. And he was tremendous. David Lee was awesome. Yes. Yeah. People of people knew how good David Lee was. As a matter of fact, I just saw him in Vegas about a year ago. He married Caroline Wozniacki, the great Dane, the tennis player. As a matter of fact, I saw them and Michael Phelps and his wife. Go ahead, Joe.
37:59Chad Johnson:Yeah, he went to Florida by 6 '9". Lefty. Yeah, I played in an all-star game with him. So he could play. But they got two totally different games, David Lee and Draymond Green. David Lee got an offensive game. Draymond Green got a defensive game. There you go. Draymond Green got a defensive game. Uncle Ocho, but he has great IQ. He has great intellect on where the ball should go and how to play. I think that's very underrated when people speak on Draymond. I think he is very intelligent. He's a very intelligent player. He understands the game. Despite not being a hell of a scorer, a hell of a shooter, yeah, he can make a shot and occasionally he'll have some breakout games, but I thought his role was needed for the Warriors.
38:46Chad Johnson:Hell, they won four
38:46Shannon Sharpe:championships. I'm trying to figure out. So what did he expect to be? But you know what? You know what? Scottie Pippen said that with Jordan, I could have been this. And Scottie, when Jordan retired, Scottie was the all-star game MVP. He averaged like 22. Yeah. But I believe Scottie Pippen was more of an offensive threat than Draymond is.
39:11Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah. Yeah, no question. No question.
39:13Shannon Sharpe:No question. And as I was reading what Draymond was saying, I kind of understand, but I'm like, well, damn. It's like, bro.
39:23Chad Johnson:What could it be? What could it be, though, Uncle Joe? Let's say if Steph and Clay wasn't there, what type of offers or presents would Draymond provide for the Warriors?
39:32Shannon Sharpe:Draymond is not going to the Hall of Fame. Draymond is not on the United States men's team. That's not happening. Right.
39:39Chad Johnson:If he didn't have Steph and Clay. If he didn't have Steph and Clay. Yeah, I mean, the two arguably, well, not arguably, Steph, the greatest shooter ever, but Clay here standing right next to him. Yeah. I mean. They're the greatest two shooters that's ever been assembled on one team. And it's not close. Yeah, and those runs that the Warriors were making when they were winning titles, bro, you got to look at Draymond Green's role on that team, the way he played defensively, the way he pushed the rock when he got the rebound, the way he play make and play defense. Bro, every team needs somebody like that.
40:15Chad Johnson:You just don't get a guy like that because we call that dirty work. Everybody don't want to do the dirty work. Dirty work, yeah. You know what I mean? Like, you got to really want it. You got to really want to be successful and really put your stamp on the game. You got to be a little different, bro, to play like that. So I commend him on his four titles. I don't know if he wanted to be a 20. Come on, man. I don't know if he wanted to be a – Yeah.
40:40Shannon Sharpe:I just don't know. I just don't. Me, personally, I don't know. I don't know. I don't think if he's not on that team, I'm not so sure he makes an all-star team.
40:50Chad Johnson:Listen, listen. If he ain't on the team, hell, the Warriors will have trouble winning them damn titles. I agree they were winning. Right.
40:58Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. His role was needed. But for him, here's the thing. But to look outside and say, you know what, to do this. but they didn't need you to score. So now you got Klay, Steph, and KD. So now if you're thinking you're a scorer, you're bringing KD. How did that work? It worked because everybody understood their role.
41:25Chad Johnson:Their role, yeah.
41:27Shannon Sharpe:KD doesn't have to play make. Draymond, you're going to be able to play make and occasionally Steph. Steph, you're going to do what you – hey, you're going to get a lot of picks. Just keep running. We're going to run you off these picks. and when we absolutely need a basket, we got a seven-foot guy that can turn his back to the basket. We dump it down there to him, and you better not bring a double team because Steph is in one corner and Klay is in the other. Yeah, yeah.
41:49Chad Johnson:And I like how he mastered his role, meaning, damn, they ain't going to even guard me if I'm standing at this three. No. But guess what? As soon as I catch the ball, I'm going right to a dribble handoff. And you come off with me, you're going to be wide open because my man way in the damn pain. Yes, man. You feel me? He's mastered that, Uncle Ojo, which I think took them to another level, meaning as they kept continuing making it to the finals and winning titles, like he mastered his role to the T, bro. I don't know what else he was expecting and looking for, but he had a hell of a career. Hell, he going to be a hard player.
42:24Shannon Sharpe:I'll tell you what. When Steph Curry wasn't in the lineup and Klay was gone, how did Draymond look, y 'all?
42:32Chad Johnson:Pedestrian, yeah.
42:34Shannon Sharpe:See, we lose sight of that. When Steph Curry's not in the lineup, how does Draymond look? And Draymond's fabulous. Like you said, Joe, he's going to the Hall of Fame and deservedly so. He's a two-time Olympic champ. He's a defensive player of the year. He's an all-NBA defensive player. He's an all-NBA player. There's no denying what he's been able to do. But take a look. When Steph Curry isn't in the lineup, what a Draymond. That's his opportunity. Let me show you what I can do, Ocho. Yeah. Hold on.
43:03Chad Johnson:How's he supposed to sum it up Something he never been given the opportunity To do?
43:08Shannon Sharpe:That's your opportunity because you ain't Got somebody that go get 30 So that's your opportunity to show You a wide receiver You a backup. You the number two, number three If number one goes down This is Ocho's opportunity To show y 'all need to give me some reps Even when one comes back I will need my touches
43:28Chad Johnson:Look at 10 Shannon tonight For Minnesota Ocho Hey but listen See, you got to say Shannon wasn't getting the opportunity. But his role was always defensively. His role was always facilitating for Klay and goddamn Steph. When they were out, Ocho.
43:46Shannon Sharpe:So what had to take place for Shannon to get his opportunity? Ant-Man had to go out. DeSomo had to be out. So Harry's had Krayvon's opportunity when Steph is hurt, because Steph has missed a lot of time. That's his opportunity. Okay, now is my time to shine. Yeah.
44:06Chad Johnson:Yeah. He should have just took over.
44:08Shannon Sharpe:That ain't his game. He can't do something.
44:09Chad Johnson:That ain't his game, bro. That's like you said, you know what?
44:13Shannon Sharpe:I'm gonna go play tight end. That ain't what you do.
44:19Chad Johnson:Get his ass steamrolled trying to play tight end. Little ass can't block. Nah, nah, nah. You gonna get steamrolled, boy. Hey, little ass can't block nothing here. You gonna get steamrolled, boy. But that, look, we all look.
44:30Shannon Sharpe:We all look back on Joe. You probably thinking, man, if I didn't have TJ, they'd have gave me more balls. Let me get another 50. Like those targets that they gave Hoosh, let me get 50 of those. Now I'm averaging 110, 115 catches a season. We can all play this. Joe's like, man, if I'd have went to somewhere like Atlanta and I could have started my first four years, man, look at my numbers. I already scored 20 ,000. Now I'm a starter, not coming off the bench. I might have 25, 26 ,000. We all do that. It's just human nature.
45:06Chad Johnson:Hey, when Dre was at Michigan State, was he a scorer? No. Nah. I think he probably what? He probably asked about 12 points a game. Okay.
45:19Shannon Sharpe:The only guy, really the only guy that you saw that I didn't see this becoming was Anthony Davis.
45:25Chad Johnson:Yeah.
45:26Shannon Sharpe:Anthony Davis was a defensive player. Anthony Davis averaging like 12, 14 points.
45:34Chad Johnson:But he probably averaged about six blocks.
45:36Shannon Sharpe:He did. And another night, probably like 10 rebounds. Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then he gets to the league and you're like, what the hell? How you averaging 27, 27, 28, and 12?
45:51Chad Johnson:Hey, every night.
45:53Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
45:54Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, cause you get to polish that game you got when you get to the pros because, hell, guess what? All your job is to do is come to this gym, get them damn shots up, work on your game. If anything else is more important than that, then we got problems. Period, point blank. That's why they draft cats on potential. Yes. Okay, boom. Okay, potentially, damn, if he could develop a 15-footer, if he could develop the three, I mean, he going to be a hell of a player. But right now, he can't hit Nathaniel. Yeah, so that's part of development, bro. When you get to the pros, they're going to get it out you.
46:31Chad Johnson:Okay, Ocho, y 'all know it.
46:32Shannon Sharpe:Draymond's senior season at Michigan State, he averaged 16 points, 10 rebounds. He was an All-American. For his career, though, he averaged 10 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists. He did four years? Yes.
46:49Chad Johnson:Yeah. I mean, hell, that's a hell of a stat you're seeing in years 16 and 10. Yeah. But did he get drafted second round? That's why his opportunity came a little later. But, hell, hey, it's a prime example, bro. You give a man an opportunity, you never know what can happen from there, bro.
47:11Shannon Sharpe:But what he was looking to be wasn't what Golden State needed. Golden State needed janitors and cashiers. they didn't need bank presidents they didn't need bank managers they didn't need CFOs and COOs sometimes we try to create a role that they're not hiring and then what
47:38Shannon Sharpe:that's what people need to understand what are they hiring man I'm qualified but that's not what they're hiring so when you don't get the job or it doesn't work out you get mad they told you what they were looking for. Right. But that's not the job that you wanted to interview for. Don't you tell me, they tell you to say, man, look here, we need a line cook. We need a line cook. They told you what they needed, a line cook. Right. Can I work to register? No, we don't need the cashier. We don't need nobody on the register. I told you we need a line cook. Or we need servers. Or we need greeters. hey
48:22Chad Johnson:look my rookie year I played for the I got drafted by the Boston Celtics playing with Paul Pierce and Antoine Walker Paul second he was second in scoring in the NBA third in scoring that year Antoine Walker was at like 22 24 night yeah okay Ocho I knew damn well my offensive opportunity was gonna come far few in between yes but guess what guess what when he threw me out there on that damn court i was hustling i was in the passing lane this before all this iso stuff people talking about yeah hey i would balls to the wall you hear me i'm talking about playing the best defense i possibly can because the one thing is when i was playing i never wanted coach to have an excuse to take me off the court bro you know what i mean damn we need some defense who what i got him coach don't worry about who you want me to get i got him i was guarding point guards two guards small forwards powerful i'm telling you bro you have to find your niche and and you have to find a way to stick when you get to the pros because guess what when you get to the pros we all probably was great scores but hell when you get that man it's probably gonna it's gonna be a pecking order it's already gonna be a guy to hell who already pretty damn good score the ball they ain't gonna really need that from you right now what else can you bring to make us complete as a team you have to figure that out because the answers ain't gonna be right there you know off dump you know i'm saying you have to figure it out as the game go and i was looking i was like damn my problem it's some nice okay ocho i was getting four shots a night like damn i'm playing 30 minutes then it'd be other nights i may get 12 shots right and i ain't never trip off that hey look i was living the american dream something i dreamed about as a kid and i got an opportunity I'm going to be out here playing some hell of a defense I tell you that
50:15Shannon Sharpe:when you show them what you can do JSN he came in what did they do Ocho? Lock it, gone, trade DK
50:25Chad Johnson:yep them opportunities
50:27Shannon Sharpe:all you got to do is show and so that's what you got to do guys get injured man let me show them what I can do I ain't saying I'm the best tight end of the league in my second or third year but I tell you what, I'm better than what we got. I know that for certain. Let me show you. Now, guess what? Now they started moving on for some of them better receivers. Now I'm really going to get an opportunity. He's been working with me for three years. All the rest of you guys, you coming in, already got a step above you. I'm already in his good graces. He know one or two things. It's going to be a catch or it's going to be an incompletion or I'm going to knock hell out of somebody because he ain't going to intercept it.
51:11Chad Johnson:I'm with you on that. That's what a lot of these young cats got to understand, bro. We don't know when your opportunity going to come. It may come midseason. Hell, it may come to me. It came like the fourth game of the season because somebody, Eric Williams, got hurt. So I got thrust into the starting lineup. Okay, Ocho. Yo. I never came out that damn starting lineup once I got in there. You hear me? I developed some value for myself. That's why they traded my ass. You hear me? Yeah, I'm just keeping real. Like, you know, when you're a youngster, you don't really know why. You know, especially when you're in your rookie year.
51:44Chad Johnson:I'm like, damn, why they trading? I'm playing great. We the number two team in the East. The Celtics hadn't made the playoffs since shit. Four, five, six years. Yeah. They got a little value. You know, they don't believe in rookies like that, so let's go get some veteran help. They went and got Tony Dell, Rodney Rogers. You know what I mean? Sent me to Phoenix. So when that opportunity presented itself, You gotta take advantage of it, bro.
52:07Shannon Sharpe:Prime example, look at Dennis Rodman. Man, Dennis Rodman probably had like five points a game, but that motherfucker averaged 15 rebounds a game. He carved out a niche for himself on that side of the ball. Look, I know it's glamorous to put the ball in the basket. I know it's just like our offense, Ocho. Everybody wanna throw the ball, catch the ball, and score the touchdown.
52:26Chad Johnson:Touchdowns, yeah.
52:27Shannon Sharpe:But there's a role for you on the other side of the ball. Man, listen, and if you do it at a high level,
52:34Chad Johnson:like you say, Dennis Rodman, that man every five points still had his own shoe. Yes. Yeah. He probably was as popular as anybody in the league. Man, he was on the boards. Hell, he's probably as damn near as popular as Michael Jordan.
52:47Shannon Sharpe:Sports Illustrated, doing WWE, Royal Rumble, all that. Wrestling, all that with yo. Dating the baddest. What? Madonna, Carmel, dating the baddest women. Ain't some game the man have 25, 26 rebounds, no points. Not even a shot attempt.
53:08Chad Johnson:Hey, but guess what? He doing it at a high level though. That's all you gotta do. And that's what you gotta do. Think we were the bad boy Pistons.
53:19Shannon Sharpe:They had, Isaiah was scoring, Dumars, but hey, everybody else, Sal, Lambeer, Mahorn, Rodman.
53:32Chad Johnson:That's it. That boy was stacked.
53:33Shannon Sharpe:Whatever your, hey, I'm one of your best. best job I can in the role that I currently in. That's all I can do. Eventually, I'm going to do enough. I promise you, if Draymond would have shown them that he could be a 17-point-a-game score and still play that level of defense, I don't believe they would have done that. Because that only helps them. Yeah.
53:57Chad Johnson:Yeah, I think for Draymond, if he was just a little better shooter, his numbers would be a lot better. But for the most part, bro, I hope he don't beat himself up behind all this because, man, you got some cats who ain't even never even seen the finals.
54:16Shannon Sharpe:He done made a quarter of a billion. I hope he don't beat himself up. Four rings, two Olympic rings. Man, you don't... D-P-O-Y? He gonna have his number retired in Golden State?
54:28Chad Johnson:Come on, man. How many times did they go to the finals? I know they won four. Come on, man.
54:34Shannon Sharpe:What we talking about? And Joe, you, Steph, and Clay, y 'all locked. What? Y 'all together. Forever. Yeah, hell, they probably gonna put a statue on all three of y 'all asses out there. It's just like the Yankees with Posada, Andy Pettit, Derek Jeter, and Mo Rivera. The big four. They together. Yeah. I mean, Mo Rivera probably said, man, man, hey, I could have been a starter. you just the greatest closer of all time
55:04Chad Johnson:right right
55:09Shannon Sharpe:but uh Draymond you had a hella career bro like Joe said don't beat yourself up about it don't even worry about it just hey you got a great family hey when you're in Silicon Valley you get an opportunity to beat because think about what you've been able to put yourself in because you've won you've got to get in on some great upstarts yeah made a ton of money you about made you dream I might have made one money you look at Steve Young and all them guys out there in San Francisco to get on these tech companies and get in on Uber and get in on Google get in from the ground floor and next thing you know oh you're in on 20x 50x that money

59:50Shannon Sharpe:Man, Anthony Davis could be traded again per Chris Haynes. I do think there's a good chance that he may end up somewhere else by the time next season starts. Boy, boy.
1:00:03Chad Johnson:Man, come on, man.
1:00:04Shannon Sharpe:Wait, wait, where's he going now? Well, he's in Washington right now. He didn't play for Washington. They let him healed up. I don't know if he had surgery. I think they let him healed up. And then they're saying that he could be on the move next year. I mean, somebody that's a contender, and I ain't got to give up a whole lot. I'd be willing to do that, Ocho, Joe.
1:00:23Chad Johnson:Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. We got to at least get a Wizards a shot, Ocho. We don't know if they could be a top 18, top 10 team in the East. They don't seem like they're looking to do that. Nah. That's what I'm saying. I'm saying, how you not? Look, Trey, I know Trey need a guy like AD, bro, who experienced, who could play. Like, I feel like they game compliments one another. Why you wouldn't get at a shot? Unless you're trying to go out here and get one of these young phenoms that's about to come into the league. I don't understand why you wouldn't even get at a chance. I mean, they probably ain't giving it a chance because it's history.
1:00:56Shannon Sharpe:Hey, I tell you what, trade him back to the Lakers. Trade him back to the Lakers for DA.
1:01:03Chad Johnson:Oh, no, they ain't doing that.
1:01:08Chad Johnson:They ain't doing that. Bring him back to LA for DA.
1:01:12Shannon Sharpe:They ain't doing that. For Luka, LeBron. I mean, can you imagine Luka with AD? Oh! I mean, think about what he was getting with Gaffer. Think about what he was getting with Lively.
1:01:22Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:01:24Shannon Sharpe:If he can stay healthy.
1:01:26Chad Johnson:I mean, that's the only problem right there. They ain't doing that, though. He ain't coming back to LA. You never know Joe. Y 'all think the Wizards finna take Aiden? Hell, Unk don't believe that. Man, I can wish, I can hope.
1:01:51Shannon Sharpe:Trying to think. What about, what about...
1:02:00Charlotte, Phoenix, Houston.
1:02:03Chad Johnson:For who? Who? Who? AD? Charlotte, Phoenix, Houston. What's wrong with Washington?
1:02:14Shannon Sharpe:I'm just going to go about Chris Hayes says he thinks it's a good chance he may be in the end. He's heard that from somewhere.
1:02:20Chad Johnson:Man, they got some good young talent over there, man. Hey, Joe, it ain't going nowhere, though, Joe. What you mean? How you know you ain't even let it play? You ain't put it together. Joe, when the last time, when the last time, how long have they been trying to get it together, Joe? Hold on, hold on. Ocho, they just traded for Trae Young and Anthony Davis this past year. Neither one of them played together. They ain't even played together yet. We talking about two all-NBA, all-star caliber players. Can you at least give it a dry run? Damn, can we get 25 games? Can we get half a season? Can we get something?
1:02:54Chad Johnson:At least we'll let it work to the trade deadline, huh, Joe?
1:02:56Shannon Sharpe:Hey, hey, hey.
1:02:58Chad Johnson:Let us see what... Are we going to get that? Are we going to get that from AD? Listen, listen, listen. Washington been pretty bad for the past couple years. They do. They do for a decent team, bruh. They do. I'm telling y 'all, man, they got some nice young talent over there and you mixing them two veteran guys who done been around the block, know the ropes, you know what I mean? Can keep those young guys involved and still be somewhat elite. Man, you mean to tell me Washington can't be a top eight team in the Western, I mean, the Eastern Conference?
1:03:32Shannon Sharpe:Joe, they didn't let the thing work between AD, Kyrie, and Cooper flag. What makes you think they're going to let this thing work in Washington? Because, listen, in Dallas, AD, hell, he got hurt the first damn game.
1:03:47Chad Johnson:Listen, okay, he been hurt pretty much the entire time he was in Dallas. So let's say he didn't got to Washington. He understands, you know, what he needs to do to keep himself on the court, keep himself healthy. Let's say he understands that now. Right. Hey, man, you never know, bro. You got to at least give it a chance.
1:04:07Shannon Sharpe:What about AD to Detroit? AD to the Magic?
1:04:13Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, that to Detroit. I like what you put. Hey, I'm picking up what you're putting down now. Hey, K needs, boy, listen. What you going to do with Derrick?
1:04:26Chad Johnson:You can't keep Durin?
1:04:28Shannon Sharpe:Probably could. He liked to play the four and have Durin play the five.
1:04:33Chad Johnson:Shit, what you think Washington finna take?
1:04:39Chad Johnson:Isaiah Stewart. And what else?
1:04:43Shannon Sharpe:Isaiah Stewart.
1:04:44Chad Johnson:And give me Thompson. Give me Thompson, kid. Get a lot of click.
1:04:57Shannon Sharpe:No, they're not giving up Thompson, Joe. I mean, you might get Stewart. You might get, I'm trying to say who. You might get Jenkins, Herter, Duncan Robinson.
1:05:09Chad Johnson:Man, we got them players already. I like Stewart now. Don't get me wrong. I like Stewart. I'm going to tell you, he can play on my team any day. But I'm going to need a couple. I'm going to need that young boy Thompson. Yeah, I'm going to need him.
1:05:22Shannon Sharpe:Send him that way. That's our defensive guy. No. Okay, next team. Next team, then. Next team. Ocho, there's a video going viral of you bending it like Beckham. Joe, let's take a look at this.
1:05:34Chad Johnson:What? What was that?
1:05:41Chad Johnson:Okay.
1:05:45Chad Johnson:All right, Ocho. That's AI. What? There ain't no AI. What? I'm on that pitch, Joe. I'm the real deal on that soccer field, boy. Yeah, that was a nice little kick there, boy. You got a little, you know? You see how that thing curves? Yeah, I see a little. That's exactly how my fist going to curve across your head. You keep playing my goddamn money, boy.
1:06:09Shannon Sharpe:Hey, Joe, what about this? Detroit give you Stewart and Tobias Harris.
1:06:19Chad Johnson:They ain't enough. I'm sorry. I need more. I told you I want the Thompson kid. Do you not want to give up the Thompson kid? Okay, I got to go. I got to go. You hang it up? I got to go.
1:06:31Shannon Sharpe:I'll tell you what I wanted. All right. It's time for Play of Fame presented by Fry's Picks.
1:06:47Shannon Sharpe:Cade Cunningham, 29 and a half points. more or less.
1:06:52Chad Johnson:Yeah, he got more.
1:06:54Shannon Sharpe:He gonna have to. Hell yeah. No option in this matter. That's gonna be a game, boy. Alright, Desmond Bain more or less than two and a half threes made.
1:07:07Chad Johnson:So he gotta make three. I say yeah. He due for a decent game.
1:07:14Shannon Sharpe:Brandon Ingram more or less than 19 points.
1:07:19Chad Johnson:He back? I guess. I ain't going to lie to you. I'm going to say less.
1:07:26Shannon Sharpe:You're going to say less too, Joe. All right. Scotty Barnes, 34 and a half when you combine his points, rebounds, and assists.
1:07:35Chad Johnson:Rebound.
1:07:36Shannon Sharpe:More than 34 and a half. Yeah, he going to get that.
1:07:39Chad Johnson:Hey, he going to get that.
1:07:40Shannon Sharpe:I agree. Because he's absorbing somewhere around 19, 10, and 8. 19, 10, and 6.
1:07:46Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah, he going to get that. This is a desperate game for them.
1:07:50Shannon Sharpe:All right. Rui, more than 11 and a half points.
1:07:58Chad Johnson:Hey, why them boys be so up and down and inconsistent, man? Hey, but he known for running off 10, 11 points in a quarter, too, though.
1:08:07Shannon Sharpe:That joke get hot. Hey, he'll hit three threes in three straight trips.

1:16:52Shannon Sharpe:Oh, oh, so we are in the top five in sports. We're just not top five overall. So when you saw that link, that thing that we put up today, Ocho, I think Club Shea Shea was 12. I think Nightcap was 17. That's overall, that's all podcasts that's on YouTube. Oh, okay.
1:17:10Chad Johnson:Hey, you understand how good that is? as early as it is for us? Three years.
1:17:18Shannon Sharpe:And think about it. That's crazy. Think about it. And we got, Shay Shay Media, we got two in the top 20.
1:17:24Chad Johnson:Damn. That's crazy.
1:17:26Shannon Sharpe:Our team, like I said, our team, I can't thank our team enough. They work extremely hard. Guys, I know we're going to try to give you all a day off. Hopefully, hopefully the Lakers win tomorrow and you get a day off. Because, hey,
1:17:42Chad Johnson:it's going to be hard. It's rough on y 'all too. It's like the club for me, man. I just, you know what I mean? I come down here and see what's happening, you feel me? Yo, you feeling good tonight, huh? Yeah, I'm feeling good. I ain't got no choice here. Yeah, I don't know how you gonna be feeling tomorrow though. Great, even better.
1:18:03Shannon Sharpe:Okay. RJ Black said, Hawks got whipped so bad, Brunson and Kat couldn't even get me my parlay right. Jalen Johnson not ready like we thought. or like you thought, Iso, pay up.
1:18:17Chad Johnson:I ain't paying nothing. Hey, look, we got to get in gear, bro. Get ready for next year. We had some great experience under our belt. I thought we were going to win the series. I really, truly did. We came up short. Man, what else y 'all want? We going to keep talking about this game, man.
1:18:35Shannon Sharpe:It's over with. J-Dub for accuracy, Iso, you're my guy, but those Hawks got BTA like my Steelers did. at Ocho's bingles. Ocho, you still owe me that jersey. You right. You owe that man, Ocho. Hey.
1:18:53Chad Johnson:I ain't got no jerseys.
1:18:58Shannon Sharpe:Why?
1:19:03Chad Johnson:Boy, I'm almost back right, Unk. And Joe, I'm almost back. I'm almost back. I am. almost I got one more day I'm everything will be gone what you thinking Joe
1:19:15Shannon Sharpe:that thing been lingering
1:19:18Chad Johnson:yeah he
1:19:19Shannon Sharpe:that thing got Michael Jordan hang time
1:19:23Chad Johnson:it's only
1:19:24Shannon Sharpe:been two days you had this thing Tuesday
1:19:29Chad Johnson:it's been two days
1:19:30Shannon Sharpe:no it ain't been two days yeah it has
1:19:34Chad Johnson:yeah every call I get last two days that one didn't
1:19:42Shannon Sharpe:Drew Jiu Jitsu, Ocho Frico, happen to watch some NFL footage on just your skill set. As Iso say, you be putting some mean demonstration technician. Appreciate it. Sam LeGrand said, Ocho, let Iso know the new Atlanta Hawks call
1:20:01Chad Johnson:is no longer ca-ca, ca-ca, ca-ca.
1:20:04Shannon Sharpe:It's Cancun, Cancun, Cancun.
1:20:14Shannon Sharpe:T.S. Car Wash Detail Service Why did the Denver coach let Malone go? ISO dressed like his playlist That's a good question That's a good question I asked that question considering And now This is not a good look This is not a good look for David Adelman To lose this game To lose this series When Ant-Man goes out When Devo goes out and now you lose this game in the fashion which you lost and they were down four of their players? Yeah. That's a bad look.
1:20:47Chad Johnson:Yeah, I don't know why they let Mike Malone go neither. I think maybe the players wanted to hear a new voice because if you got Murray and Jokic vouching for him, they ain't getting rid of him, bro. Yeah. Nah.
1:21:01Shannon Sharpe:Tim Lee, man, sports all about matchups. Woods are terrible matchups for the Nuggets. Now with the Undermann team, now we got to go watch the Spurs beat them in four or five, Nuggets Spurs would have been a better series. True? I believe that.
1:21:16Chad Johnson:Yeah, I think it would have been a better, unless some of these guys for the T-Wolves still taking this personal, and they still got another button they can press to go to another level. I ain't putting it past the T-Wolves. Put it past them to do what? Win a game? Listen, listen it's gonna be a physical series okay oh joe it ain't don't take like you say don't take nothing but an ankle sprain uh uh a little concussion or yeah yeah hey but joe if you don't get no concussion if you don't get no angle sprain what them goddamn spurs got too much boy they loaded they do they got a lot they got too much horsepower over there man they they got a lot but if you tell me jay mcdaniels julius randall and they're terrence shannon and io you say no
1:22:06Shannon Sharpe:Y 'all not going to do that because you know why? Because San Antonio got them guys that can sit down in chairs. Yeah, they got guys that can defend at an elite. Hold on. They got Vassal. They got Castle. Vassell.
1:22:22Chad Johnson:Vassell.
1:22:22Shannon Sharpe:They got Vassell. They got Champagny. They got Castle. They got Dylan Harper. They got guys that can defend at an extremely high level. And then you got that. Gildon Johnson. Then you got that alien. You got that octopus back there.
1:22:36Chad Johnson:They do. They do. They do. Hey, I like San Antonio, but I tell you what, I don't think it's going to be as easy as everybody thinks. They might win a game, Joe.
1:22:46Shannon Sharpe:The series won't go more than five. All right. All right. Don't be surprised, man. Real sports talk. Nick's with Atlanta putting out a mean demonstration in my ISO voice.
1:23:04Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, hey. I'm going to give them they credit. They did, bro. From start to finish. They did.
1:23:10Shannon Sharpe:LeFore is six. Smoking on the isopack with Ocho. Unk shivering in his boots because his self-proclaimed king is next. Nah, we about to go on and take this thing. Watch the GOAT tomorrow. GOAT probably dropped by 35. He'll probably have about 35, 8, and 7.
1:23:28Chad Johnson:Efficiently?
1:23:28Shannon Sharpe:I'll give a damn high again. He's going to need 35.
1:23:34Shannon Sharpe:Daniel Hayes if Ant-Man can come back Will Spurs will be a great series
1:23:39Chad Johnson:he ain't coming back
1:23:42Shannon Sharpe:Jonathan Campanzano Pixie Stick Dixie Chicks Stevie Nicks Nicks and Six
1:23:50Chad Johnson:oh man come on
1:23:51Shannon Sharpe:Denver needs to apologize to Porter Jr. and Mike Malone cause he
1:23:59Chad Johnson:cause Porter was a lot he was a lot more valuable than what they anticipated. They didn't value him enough. Yeah, he was in the postseason. He wasn't getting but sometimes he wasn't getting about eight shots. And then he got hurt. Yeah.
1:24:15Shannon Sharpe:Robert Allen, he coming back for game seven. I'm assuming he talking about KD, I guess.
1:24:22Chad Johnson:Ant-Man.
1:24:23Shannon Sharpe:Ant-Man. Oh, no, he talking about KD. Oh. Brother Franklin said them Hawks got their wings clipped. Ocho finished the job and take out our soul. He ever talking about you just bait.
1:24:38Chad Johnson:Hell, he is bait. Shit. Yeah, yeah.
1:24:42Shannon Sharpe:Which I thought he was.
1:24:43Chad Johnson:Yeah, okay.
1:24:45Shannon Sharpe:Daniel Wells, Ocho, did you have to audition to be in the, what is it, Monica's video? And how and why did she end up picking you?
1:24:55Chad Johnson:oh I mean you got you got to understand I mean she picked me to be in um I forgot I forgot the name of the song I've got the name of the song but you know back then you know I was probably probably about top five one of the greatest you know male species on earth at the time oh man here he go you know I mean that's basically how she chose me you know if you look at me from from from head to toe and you dissect it with the naked eye oh you can you can see for yourself uh how debonair you know i was at the time so um i was a video vixen at one point i was in a lot of videos i was i was a vixen uh nothing to be ashamed of that's that's pretty much it oh what yeah joe i was hey joe i was a hot commodity boy yeah Yeah, I still got it too now.
1:25:51Chad Johnson:I just, you know. You keep it tame. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, Joe, when I want to step out, Joe, I could turn every eye in the room if I want to. I already know it. I already know it. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
1:26:04Shannon Sharpe:All my nicks flood the chat with orange and blue. Come on, bro. Delivery got 91 ISO. I need them glass to hide my tears. Nug losing to the C team.
1:26:19Shannon Sharpe:I so you can't say basketball Atlanta or Hawks who had more aura Michael Jackson or Michael Jordan man stop there'll never be an MJ MJ is the biggest the original OG Michael Jackson criminal smooth criminal yeah Yeah. Bruh, when people start passing out at the mention of your name, there's only one other person. Or when you see somebody, there's only been two people that that's ever happened. One, they speak of him in a book. The other, we got an opportunity to witness with our own eyes.
1:26:59Chad Johnson:Hello, hello. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, well, you know, I had one pass out by me like that in college, boy. Oh, Lord have mercy. What happened bro? Huh? What happened? Tell us the story. What happened? You sure you want to hear it? Yeah, I want to hear it. Yeah. Um, you know, I was at Oregon State. Oregon State, you know, they introduced me. Yeah. You know, and I, you know, when I came out, you know, the little student section, a few of them like, oh, oh Joe. And they, they, they fell out. They fell out. They were crying. I'm like, what y 'all crying for? Yeah, they fell out. I ain't never seen nothing like it.
1:27:39Chad Johnson:I never forget her name. Mary Beth Susan.
1:27:43Shannon Sharpe:So now she got three first names.
1:27:48Chad Johnson:Yeah, she's probably for the country. Yeah, I never forget. I ain't saying I'm Michael Jackson, but I didn't have somebody faint at the sight of me, Joe. Okay, all right. Yeah, me too.
1:28:06Shannon Sharpe:I have to, you know, when I put this mean demonstration down, they fainted. Ah!
1:28:18Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, but think about this. Mike was doing this when there wasn't an internet. I mean, think about it. How many people would just stand just to get a glimpse at him. Think about when he had the baby over the hotel balcony. Think about all those people that were 500 ,000, he's doing shows. I think the thing is, if you're our age, we remember Michael Jackson. I'm a little older than you guys, so I remember when he first broke off in the early 80s, when he broke off from the Jacksons, and he came because Off the Wall came out in 79, and then he came out with Thriller.
1:28:55Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:28:58Shannon Sharpe:From about 83 to about 93, you'll never see that again.
1:29:05Chad Johnson:I got a question. I got a question, Ocho. Do y 'all think, because back then there wasn't no social media, so the only time you could see MJ is really like on TV. Right. Do you think that's what made his popularity a lot more,
1:29:20Shannon Sharpe:like his aura a lot more? Yeah, I think the thing is the more, the less you see somebody, the more you want to see them. It's kind of like Jordan because you really don't see him. Right, right. There was no camera phone. There was no getting him coming out of a hotel or getting him coming. Basically, every once in a while, you see him getting in a car. Yeah. It was after that makes the heart go fonder. Like you said, Joe. There you go. you had to go to the concerts to see him.
1:29:54Chad Johnson:Yeah, you did.
1:29:55Shannon Sharpe:And then people was falling out. I mean, they pay all that money for them tickets, and then you faint, and you don't even get a chance to watch him.
1:30:03Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I used to tell him sometimes. Oh, man. It's like going to a damn Tyson fight. You done paid 50 grand for a front row seat. Front row seat. And he done whooped dude ass.
1:30:20Shannon Sharpe:I tell you what, you better, hey, I'm going to get into the second, third round. Okay. Turn around and go back. You better turn around and go back. No, Mike was, I don't think we'll ever see that again. We'll never see somebody get that big. Nah.
1:30:42Shannon Sharpe:Oh, what's your top four greatest athletes ever?
1:30:48Chad Johnson:top four greatest athletes yeah number one probably wesley pipes there you go what number two michael jordan oh
1:31:07Chad Johnson:hey uh three
1:31:16Chad Johnson:damn um i'm stuck now
1:31:22Chad Johnson:damn that's a good one would y 'all put hussein boat you saying yeah i think you have to i think I mean, for me, I mean, the problem that you have, guys, is that people judge athletes on a different like, okay, athletic.
1:31:44Shannon Sharpe:That means you can do more than one. I mean, but Usain Bolt just ran, but nobody's ever ran faster or made it look as good as he did. How do you not put Michael Phelps on that list?
1:31:57Chad Johnson:That's a good one. So I think that four, it all comes down to preference. It absolutely does. Yeah, it comes down to preference based on the sports that you do like. Because they're the greatest at every single sport there is. It's the top four that you like specifically. Yeah, hey, hey. And that's why you're at the top of the list with that damn Wesley Pipe shit you talking about. That's why you're at the top. That's exactly why. That's exactly why you're at the top. You know, that's my nephew now. I told him all he know. Lord have mercy. But my top four, I'm going to start with soccer. My top four, I'm going to go with Matadona first.
1:32:39Chad Johnson:And then football, I'm going to go with Tom Brady. Another sport I like, obviously being tennis. I'm going to probably go
1:32:50Chad Johnson:Joker.
1:32:51Shannon Sharpe:Novak Djokovic.
1:32:53Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:32:57Chad Johnson:My fourth sport would probably be boxing. and I'll go Floyd.
1:33:05Yeah.
1:33:14Shannon Sharpe:I'll go Phelps. Serena.
1:33:22Shannon Sharpe:In five years, this might change because Asia Wilson might make my top. for Asia Wilson might be for number four. Oh, yeah.
1:33:40Oh, my God.
1:33:46Shannon Sharpe:Y 'all remember when they had this thing that's ESPN top 100? Yeah, I do.
1:33:51Chad Johnson:Yeah, I remember that. Yeah.
1:33:53Shannon Sharpe:Wasn't Jordan one? I think Storm was one. Babe Ruth was like two. Hell, they had Secretariat on the list. Secretariat was like 23.
1:34:08Shannon Sharpe:I'd go Phelps. I'd go Serena. I would go Ali for what he did, not just in the ring but off.
1:34:24Chad Johnson:and we're definitely going to say Ali.
1:34:36Shannon Sharpe:I'll go
1:34:42Shannon Sharpe:Usain Bolt slash Simone Biles. Yeah.
1:34:47Chad Johnson:I'm going Jordan, Bolt, Wayne Grisky. Hey. You trying to know about Wayne Grisky. You all know about Wayne Grisky. Okay. Nine MVPs. I'm going to go Jordan, Wayne, Grisky. I'm going to go Prime. I'm going to go Prime.
1:35:15Chad Johnson:Serena. Yeah. Did I say Bo already? Did I say Hussein Bo?
1:35:19Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
1:35:24Shannon Sharpe:If you're just talking about just like, if you're just talking about athletes, guys that can do more than one thing, well, it's got to be Prime, it's got to be Bo, it's got to be Jim Thorpe. Yeah.
1:35:38Chad Johnson:Them dudes play two. Yeah, it's got to be somebody like that.
1:35:42Shannon Sharpe:Dave Winfield got drafted in four sports, even though he didn't play football.
1:35:50Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, so I would go, if we just talk about athletes, guys that we believe that can do more than one thing, more than one sport, I would say Prime, Bo, Dave Winfield,
1:36:08Shannon Sharpe:and Jim Thorpe.
1:36:10Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:36:17Shannon Sharpe:Tell him, I saw, don't hate the player. I hate the game, baby. Not paying Nathaniel. Hello. Hello. Can't wait to play against you on that TST tournament. Let's see if you really like that on that football. Daniel Hayes says, Hawks spend more energy trying to fight than play basketball. Nick's on the roast part tonight.
1:36:41Chad Johnson:Yeah, hey, hey, we gotta win something here.
1:36:46Shannon Sharpe:Jonathan said hat tricks, Netflix, glow sticks. Nixon six. We good. I knew ISO was gonna be on some gangster issue when I saw him in all black smoke. I ain't paying chance. Ish. Pay that bag back up.
1:37:10Shannon Sharpe:He say he ain't paying you nothing cause you ain't paying me my money. but Sheldon Pope said, what's worse, getting blown out or getting walked out and losing? ISO, you still have a$2 ,000 bet in football against Ocho Steele.
1:37:23Chad Johnson:Yeah, talking about my Cowboys gonna be better than his bankers. Yeah, yeah. It just depends on how I feel about that, you know what I mean? But - Matter of fact, if you win, I ain't paying you. How about that? Don't worry, I'm gonna come get it out your ass. And you can pause it. Hey, you do that. You can pause it, you can rewind it, you can play it, but I'm coming to get mine, partner. Well, hey, hey, hey, matter of fact, I'mma leave the porcelain on and good luck getting up in here. Okay. You hear me? Okay. All right. I'mma leave the porcelain on and good luck getting up. Matter of fact, I'mma see my address, too.
1:37:53Chad Johnson:I'mma be there. Trust and believe. Yeah. Trust and believe. Hey, oh, hold. And let me tell you something. The beam over here, it ain't red. It's green. Okay. Okay. It's cool. It's cool. I'm coming with mine, too. Yeah.
1:38:07Shannon Sharpe:Yousef Unc, my username is Joseph. if you were a GM today you taking prime MJ for the next 15 years or prime LBJ for the next 25 years in today's game
1:38:25Chad Johnson:he said would you take who
1:38:26Shannon Sharpe:he was asking would you take prime MJ for 15 or prime LeBron for the next 25 I told y 'all man LeBron my goat in today's game I'm taking Bron.
1:38:42Chad Johnson:Hey, man, I can't fault you for it. I can't fault you. He's a bad boy. He can do more things. He can pass, shoot, rebound, defend. Hold up, hold up. MJ can do all that too, though. He can't pass like LeBron. That's why he – He had consecutive games where he was having double-digit assists. He could do it when he wanted to. Come on, don't do that. Don't do that. He never let his team an assist. Scottie did. B.J. Armstrong did. Yeah, he did. Because he was too prolific at putting that thing in the hole.
1:39:14Shannon Sharpe:I wish somebody would say, LeBron, all we need you to do is score. They'd say, no, LeBron, we need you to rebound too. And we need you to get us in this offense too. And we need you to give us 27 a night.
1:39:26Chad Johnson:You do know that man made multiple. I mean, hell, he was defensive player of the year.
1:39:32Shannon Sharpe:We got robbed. You know good and well Mark Gasol did not deserve that award. You know that, Joe. How the man's second team, but he win the war. Explain that to me, Joe.
1:39:45Chad Johnson:I don't know. I don't know how he did it.
1:39:47Shannon Sharpe:Oh, Joe, that's what we said about – hold on. How is Lamar Jackson, the first team all-pro quarterback, but he don't win the MVP? Didn't win the MVP? How that makes sense? Yeah. It didn't make sense at all. You see what I'm saying. One true life. Need to stream it. Adventures with Ocho, Adventures with Ocho, and today we're going to see Iso Joe's house.
1:40:13Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah. Matter of fact, hey, that's a good one. I'ma stream that too, Joe. Yeah, what's that? When you pull up? Yeah, I'ma stream that. Yeah. Hey, I'ma let the world see. Let me tell you something, when you turn on my block, homie, you don't even get no service over here. I'm just letting you know that now. You shut the service off. You don't even get service when you get, down the block, your service go off. Damn, Ocho. Hey, Unk, I use Starlink so I get service anywhere. Okay. Yeah, not what?
1:40:46Shannon Sharpe:Slim V3V, love the show, 10 seconds left in the AFC championship. On the line, you take a Lamar Jackson to Josh Allen. Ocho, the proposal celebration, greatest, and ISO, the crossover in Brooklyn was cold.

1:41:47Chad Johnson:I'm going with Ocho.

1:41:58Shannon Sharpe:So you going with Action Jackson?
1:42:02Chad Johnson:I'm going with O2, yeah.

1:42:06Chad Johnson:You said give it to me again.
1:42:08Shannon Sharpe:You got 10 seconds left in the AFC Championship game, and it's on the line. Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen? Who you want to have the ball?
1:42:19Chad Johnson:Yeah, I'm going L-Jack, baby. I'm going L-Jack.

1:43:06Shannon Sharpe:Old School Taurus 81 says, send KD and AD to Seattle so we can start on the right foot.
1:43:15Chad Johnson:They ain't going to have a team this upcoming season.
