In short

Combat sports and major sports news—Alicia Baumgardner’s boxing win, Alabama’s CFP comeback vs Oklahoma, and NBA rule changes affecting betting/injury reporting.

Guests

No named guests appear in the transcript. The hosts are “Ocho” and “Unc Ocho” (co-host banter), plus audience Q&A comments.

Key claims

  1. Baumgardner dominated Leila Beaudoin by unanimous decision, extending her pro record to 17-1 and defending WBA/IBF/WBO super featherweight titles; she was “in control the entire fight” and “wasn’t hurt.”
  2. Alabama overcame a 17-0 deficit to beat Oklahoma 34-24, then advances to play Indiana in the Rose Bowl; the comeback hinged on a blocked punt and a pick-six, plus defensive pressure (about five sacks) and improved ball security.
  3. The NBA will tighten sports betting via injury-report timing (resubmissions 11 a.m.–1 p.m. and updates every 15 minutes) and limits on prop bets (caps on maximum bet amounts, fewer/limited player props, and restrictions on problematic bet types).

Notable examples

  • Baumgardner’s “strong hands” catch over an opponent’s reach.
  • Alabama’s punt block leading to a pick-six; Lozier Brooks’ two TDs and season-high five catches (79 yards).
  • Mention of NFL fines for criticizing refs (Puka Nacua fined $25,000).

2:55Shannon Sharpe:Oh, there's another fight. Alicia Baumgartner defeated Lila Boudouin. Boudouin. By unanimous decision, she extends her professional record to 17-1 and defends her WBA, IBF, WBO, super featherweight titles. Yep. I mean, the dominant. I mean, she said she didn't hurt her the entire night. You know, she's skilled. I don't know who she fights next, but, I mean, she did. She went in there and did what she was supposed to do. She was clearly the more skilled. Yes, absolutely. Superior boxer, and she displayed it. Yeah, she was in control the entire fight. I'm glad that they fought with the men's rules.

3:38Obviously, I think fighting with the men's rules, obviously 12 rounds, three minutes. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. With three minutes a round, obviously, I think that changes your compensation as well. so that was good she was in control the entire fight she wasn't hurt she was able to do what she wanted to do the whole fight and I mean she got the win

4:06Shannon Sharpe:she did I just like women's boxers there's just not an influx of those women that want to do that and they definitely don't want to do that if they look like Alicia Baumgart Right, right, right, right. So I just don't know, I mean, she just gonna run out of people to fight. Just like Clarissa, she's gonna run out of people to fight. There's just not a whole, it's not like the men where, you know, women ain't really signing up to do that. Right. Hey, Clarissa got a big one coming up too, Uncle Boy. Yes, she does. Hold me. Hey, she got a big one coming up. Her fight's in February, right? I'm not sure the date.

4:45I'm not sure the date. oh that's a big one february 22nd though joe okay that's that's good that's good that's good hey that uh that goddamn hey you want hey man let's go to that uh that tfo mode shakur fight man when is it january 31st where uh damn is it in new york i might i could be wrong don't don't don't don't me wrong. I'm not sure where it is, but God damn. Boy, that's going to be one hell of a fight. You talk about skill? Yeah.

5:22Shannon Sharpe:Boy. It'll be too hard. It'll be too hard to get in New York. It's not like a lot of other places. It'll be too hard to get from Madison Square Garden back to the hotel. You're right. It'll take us the same amount. It'll take us like two hours to get back to the hotel room. Ocho, The Alabama Crimson Tide roared back from a 17-0 hole to beat Oklahoma in Oklahoma, 34-24 to advance to the Rose Bowl. Alabama freshman, Lozier Brooks, who did not score a touchdown in the regular season, scored two touchdowns tonight and had a season-high five catches for 79 yards. And what was the third meeting between the schools in 13 months, Oklahoma defeated Alabama 24-3 last November at home, then beat the Crimson Tide 23-21 last month on the road.

6:16Shannon Sharpe:It was the first playoff win for the Crimson Tide since Kalen DeBoer arrived from the University of Washington two years ago. Alabama advanced to play the number one seed Indiana Hoosiers and the Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza in a quarterfinal game at the Rose Bowl January the 1st. Ocho, the way this game started. They scared me, huh? Alabama scared me. They scared me, Ocho, because you're looking. Materia just had all day to throw the ball. Yes, no pressure. I said they can't get any pressure. And I said, look, in order for Alabama to score, something unforeseen is going to have to happen.

6:54Shannon Sharpe:Yes. And guess what happened? The guy dropped the punt. It goes down as a block punt. And then you get a pick six. And the momentum. You're back in the game just that fast. They scored 27 unanswered points. Oklahoma goes back and score again to make it 27-24 and then they scored another touchdown. But Brooks made that catch. That catch that he made over... The reaching over? Yeah. That was nice. You got to have some strong hands to do that, huh? You got to have some strong hands. You got to have some strong hands. Yeah, that was a great play. It was. Alabama played well. I don't like the fact that they started so slow.

7:36Obviously, Oklahoma jumped out on them. I'm not sure what's going to happen when they play a better team, a better team that is a little bit more offensive poignant. Yes. In that sense, that can score at will. So I'm curious to see this Indiana game is going to be really nice on them. That Indiana game is going to be really telling, really telling.

8:02Shannon Sharpe:I thought Oklahoma had an opportunity to put this game away. They had some third down drops. They dropped second pass on second down, dropped the pass on third down. Materia threw a couple of passes that weren't caught. I mean, if you got your foot on someone's head, you got to step on them. You got to keep them up underwater. Yeah. Don't give them life because this is what we know in all sporting events, especially football. Also, the momentum, you're going to get it. Now the question is when you have the momentum, how much separation can you put between you and the team that doesn't have the momentum?

8:40Shannon Sharpe:Because that pendulum is going to swing. Always. And when it swings, have you put enough separation between you and that team? Right. To be able to win. Yeah. They didn't. And then all of a sudden Alabama could not rush the quarterback all year. And tonight somehow they came away with I think five sacks. Yeah. That was, we used to see in Alabama, Alabama normally have dogs. That's one thing they pride themselves on. They had the Quinny Williams, and they had the Allens, and they had, you know, the Payne. They normally could get after the quarterback. If they couldn't do anything else, Alabama kept D-linemen, and they kept DBs.

9:21Shannon Sharpe:And for this year, for whatever reason, they could not rush the quarterback. And then all of a sudden tonight, Alabama was terrible on third down. There was two of 12 on third down. Oklahoma was seven of 18. The difference in the ball game was that putt and the pick. I don't know what material thought. Maybe that was supposed to be a misread by him. The wide receiver was supposed to do something, Ocho. but that was a horrible pick six. Wait, he bluffed it. He baited him into it, huh? I'm not sure what defense that was, but he backed off. Yes. Like he was getting up out of there, and at the snap of the ball, Mateer looked to the outside, and he just took off and went to it.

10:14Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, but I'm saying, what was the wide receiver supposed to do? Because he kept going. Right. So, and Mateer threw it like he was expecting him to, like it'd be a stop route. Matter of fact, that's why he backed off. That's why the DB backed off of it. He backed off, and at the snap of the ball, he shot up right away. So because the last thing Matias saw was the DB getting up out of there. Yeah. And at the snap, he took off. Alabama only had 260 total yards. 232 of that was passing. Ty Simpson was 18 of 29 for two. Go back here. It's a box score. I got it.

11:01Shannon Sharpe:Alabama still can't run the football. I think they had 28 yards rushing on 25 carries. Wait, how much? They had 28 yards on 25 carries.

11:20That's going to have to improve. Yeah, it's – and look, the last time they played, Alabama turned the ball –

11:31Shannon Sharpe:I mean, Alabama turned the ball over. Right. Because remember they had – he threw a pick six. Uh-huh. And Alabama was clean tonight. Yeah. And, you know, they scored six points on your possessions. The one thing you can't do is let teams score on your possessions. Yeah. punt the ball, made him dry the field. You gave him life. You gave him a short field on the guy. And the partner just dropped the ball. I don't know what he saw. He just took his eye off it and he dropped the ball. And the D lineman just, you know, scooped it up. But I was surprised considering how Alabama finished the season, how they looked in the SEC championship game, and going on the road.

12:17Shannon Sharpe:But I think you have to give Kalen DeBoer a lot of credit for having this team for being able to weather this storm. It's not easy to weather a storm in a hostile environment. Oklahoma is a defensive-led football team and they're very, very good. And you jumped out on them. Alabama, they jumped out on you at 17-0 on the road. They're in their building and you was able to remain calm, keep you cool, and... Go ahead, Ocho. But this was a guy that had a game too, huh? Yeah, for sure. if you look at the reports if he if he had lost this game if he had lost his game and no he would be he would be fired i mean man i would have hoped i would have hoped the players to show it up that's what scared me at the beginning of the game here we down 17-0 wait a minute did y 'all not see the reports come out today if the boys that lose this game is likely they're gonna part ways he's gonna be fired come on now yeah it's uh but i think like i said you have to give look it's tough I mean you never want to be the guy that followed the guy I mean you follow Nick Saban you follow the greatest coach you're following the greatest coach in college football history and the guy that the other greatest college coach was Coach Bryant but there was a lot I showed man the guy that when Coach Bryant retired I remember Coach Bryant I'm old enough to remember when he actually retired and they asked him what he was going to do he said I'd be dead in a month.

13:49Shannon Sharpe:It was about three months. And that's what happened for real? That's what happened. That's exactly what happened.

14:00Shannon Sharpe:Power of the team. Ty Simpson was 18 of 29. Ocho, 232, two touchdowns. Yeah, they had 25 carries. Ocho, they had 28 yards, but they had one run of 30 yards. But the sack yards, he was sacked, and so, you know, that takes away from Ty Simpson was minus 22 yards in sacks. Dang. But they did an unbelievable job. Ocho, Alabama defense came to play tonight. They did a great job of mixing it up. They did a great job of man. They did a great job of disguising. And they got home. When they did bring pressure. They got home because material, he's slippery. You see that first touchdown? He jukeed about four, five people.

14:40Yeah.

14:42Shannon Sharpe:I thought somebody had planted jocks on the field. Because he shook them out and they jumped. Yeah, he was nice. He was nice. But that defense today, they did an unbelievable job. They did. Give them a roll tide because it's been a lot. Boy, if this thing had gotten out of hand, boy, them people in Alabama, they were going to be mad at Kalen DeBoer. Very.

15:11Shannon Sharpe:They were going to be pissed. but Alabama advances and now they get to face Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Mendoza and in the Rose Bowl so I guess that's why Alabama was in they didn't disappoint because you know everybody's going to say that should have been Notre Dame or that should have been University of Texas well Notre Dame start playing some people get your ass in a conference you get your ass you're in a conference and everything else yep basketball then in a conference soccer hockey ocho yo have you ever had yum yum sauce who see what it's called yum yum what does it go on everything according to me you put i discovered it a couple of days ago where you get it from um amazon i know nobody order no food off amazon huh yeah you can't i can't find it in the stores well if it if it's not in the stores maybe you're not supposed to be ordering it i ordered it man i've been putting on everything with y 'all you're not listening to me huh what that if you can't find it in the stores maybe you're not supposed to be eating it you're supposed to be eating it Ocho I'm telling you you get you some yum yum sauce chicken turkey I put it on everything I put it on eggs I put it on my uh uh my sausage patties what it tastes like give me an example of something that I've already had that you know I've had obviously it kind of remains of cane sauce.

17:01Shannon Sharpe:Have you ever had cane sauce? What the hell is that? I don't eat no damn chicken tenders? You ever had raisin cane? Who? Raising cane. That's a damn TV show, man. Come on now. No. Actually, it's fast food. Chicken tenders. Hold on. A fast food called Raising Cane's? Yeah. I'm from Miami. 17:54Yum Yum Sauce. It's a popular creamy mayo based condiment with a sweet and tangy flavor. Most commonly served at Japanese steakhouses, hibachi restaurants.

18:05Shannon Sharpe:Yep. It looked like mayonnaise, huh? Ocho, just order some. Put it on your chicken. Put it on your ground beef, your turkey. Chef's kiss.

18:25Yeah, they're Raising Cane's in Florida. No, Florida. I said Miami. Florida's big. It ain't that big.

23:48Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, the NBA is enacting several sports betting policies to its 30 teams, including changing injury reporting rules. Teams now will be required to resubmit injury listings on game day between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. local time and any update public reports every 15 minutes. NBA is also pushing gaming companies for changes to prop bets involving individual players such as limiting maximum amount that can be bet, limitations on unders, limiting population of players, eliminating problematic bet types like bets on an action on a single play. So you can bet how many times they're going to pass the ball?

24:32You can do that? I guess. You can damn near bet on any goddamn thing, man. You can.

24:41Shannon Sharpe:Jesus. But that's what do it. It's the prop bets, Ocho. Right. Is that Ocho gonna have five catches. Now Ocho gonna be under five. Now Ocho gonna be over five. Man, Ocho gonna have 75 yards. So it's all that prop. Oh, the corn flip. It's gonna be heads. Now it's gonna be tails. Who gonna win the toss? You can't make no good money out of that, though, huh? Yeah, you can. I know. Prop bet, I'm just saying. They probably cap it at a certain number. you can bet on the prop bets? No, hell no. You bet whatever you want to bet. But that's what they try to do. They try to limit the amount you can bet.

25:15Shannon Sharpe:And they also try to limit the number of prop bets. Right. Okay, okay. I see what you mean. What color is the Gatorade? Red. See? That's a prop. I like that. So, look. It just is. yeah and if there is ocho if there is and this is how it is and it goes back to if there's a way to cheat they're gonna find a way to try to beat the system it's just it's just the way it is it's just the way it is yeah it doesn't it doesn't matter what rules they make it don't matter how many how many changes you try to make to it to try to protect it i mean they're gonna find ways around it they're gonna find ways around it i'm i'm glad i'm i'm glad I'm one that has never got addicted to gambling.

I just learned how to play blackjack, and I enjoy the excitement of me not really knowing what the hell I'm doing, but the dealer helping me out and the people I'm playing with actually giving me a chance and anytime i get up when i play them 25 hands well if i win maybe 100 200 well i throw that peace angle and i go about my business i know when to get up you can tell you

26:45Shannon Sharpe:ain't betting no real money because you're betting real money them dealers ain't talking oh i see what you mean yeah i ain't never gonna be betting no real money no sir

27:04No, sir.

27:07Shannon Sharpe:Ocho. Yo. Who can the cool reportedly find 25 ,000 for criticizing the refs on NFL refs? Well, you was right. On a live stream video. NFL Network, Mike Garofalo, reported Friday that the league find Los Angeles around Robert Seabry 25 ,000 for its critical comments. Nuka, Nakua, had compared officials to lawyers and said they make calls to be on TV. Garofalo noted ESPN Sarah Barship reported the wide receiver said Tuesday live stream that the refs are worse they make calls so they can get on television 25 grand you and you was right too you hit it right on the nose mm-hmm you said that yesterday that's normally that's normally what you do get if you criticize the officials yeah they sure did a pook ain't nothing a pook ain't making nothing but goddamn 480 this year, 450.

28:02Shannon Sharpe:This is last year making that. Oh, yeah. 35 plus. Yeah, you right about that. You right about that. He about to make 35 plus. And well based on them numbers he got 114, Ocho. Well deserved. 114 for what? 1 ,400? 15. 15. He had like 1590. Yeah, he's leading the league. Because what's coming at 1637? JSN? JSN is at 1637. And Puka's at like 1590-something. Three games ago, right? Three games ago? Two. Two. Damn. Now, damn, this season going by fast, huh? It goes by fast, bro. Jesus.

28:48I can't wait, bro. My goddamn Bengals coming to town, bro. Yeah, go on and see the guppies and the Jack Mackerel. Listen, me and my, man, boy, me and the kids, we're going to have a ball, man. We're going to have a ball. You know what I'm saying? We got our own little suite by ourselves, you know, a bunch of hot dogs for everybody.

29:11Shannon Sharpe:Going to the game just to get some... What?

29:18Hey, you ain't never had hot dogs at a sporting event?

29:22Shannon Sharpe:I haven't had hot dogs in 20-plus years. See? But I have. But I'm trying to think. I used to get the hot dogs at the convenience store. Them things be good. They be in that warmer. Yeah, going in a turn. You mean like the one? Yeah, man. Yeah. 7-Eleven used to have them on. Yes. And the buds be warm. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, hold on. I don't get no condiments. I get mine. Eat it dry, huh? Yeah, I eat it dry. I squish it together. I've never been a ketchup guy. I catch up and mustard and relish. I don't do ketchup. Occasionally, I have done relish, but I mean, I don't like mustard. I do ketchup. I get a hamburger.

30:03Shannon Sharpe:I get hamburger, meat, bun, ketchup. Nah, nah, nah. See, I save my ketchup, you know, for my McDonald's or my cheeseburgers, you know, my Big Mac, you know, match your cheeseburgers. Nah, I don't put no cheese on a burger. I just want meat and bun. Pause.

30:21Come on, man. Come on. come on man okay

30:29Shannon Sharpe:because I say dry I didn't want my burger dry okay there we go thank you

34:16Shannon Sharpe:Alright, we will get you out of here on this. It's time for our final segment of the evening. It's time for Q and A. Hey, boy, that was a good one. That was fun.

34:31Shannon Sharpe:What? I gots no chill. Jake Paul was running like Martin Payne versus Tommy Hearns. Hey, listen, you know I can't even make fun of Jake Paul about running on. I don't think people understand what it's like to be inside that ring with someone that's much bigger than you and you hear that bell ring and they are willingly trying to knock your head off. It's different. He asked for that. Yeah, you're right. You're right. I put it like this here. The guy at the club and you go feel on his girl butt, you go touch his lady. You asked for him to punch you in your face. Yeah, you're right. I don't think Anthony Joshua called him out he called Anthony Joshua so wait Anthony Joshua hold on you mean to tell me I can make 10, 15, 20 million dollars 30 million dollars to put knock you out what do I sign he's like well you can't be over 245 okay that's cool yeah I can't I mean you can't say I feel bad for him he asked for it

35:39so that's what that's that's what he that's what he you're a fighter you can't feel sorry for a fighter for calling out another fighter oh no i'm not i'm not i'm not feeling sorry for him but you just understand you got to call out the right people that you actually have a chance with see i call i'm calling out james harrison because i know i have a chance and not only do i have a chance I'm gonna beat his ass yeah it's different like I'm when I'm when I call you out and I do my talking like I back up all my talk you know check my resume when I talk shit oh cho yeah

36:14Shannon Sharpe:Aaron Owen says Tyron Woodley need to go ahead and sit sit down straight he does I saw that I saw that him and Silva let it go bro you let it go I got a question huh now also Tyron Woodley they call him man in three weeks notice because whoever still was supposed to fight i i'm not sure what happened but they hit tyro hey listen so maybe the guy got hurt or whoever still was supposed to fight got hurt and they called you don't get hurt he keep taking any fights hey hey it's okay it's it's okay for you to say no

36:51hey oh man you know what man they wanted me to run they wanted me to run a marathon

36:59Shannon Sharpe:Hans Ward did it the Iron Man nah I'm good hey what you think about me and Silva oh lord have mercy hey somebody in the chat just say I got slept no I went down there's a difference yeah you got up got right and got right back you know what's funny about that when I was in there you know you can see the punch coming but you so tired you can't move I couldn't move. I could see it clear as day. Before I hit the ground, I was trying to get my black ass up. I could hit my mama. Boy, if you don't get up and stop embarrassing me, I could hit it in my head. I could hit it in my head. Uh-huh. Oh, man.

37:42I'm like, damn. Like, damn, Mocho. Yeah, hey. I popped up quick. And then my dumb ass trying to dap him up.

37:51Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, you trying to dap him up. He could have checked, hooked you. Oh, he sure could have. He sure could have, yeah. Hey, you remember when Mayweather, who the Mayweather, the dude kept trying to dap him up and Mayweather checked, boop. No, he tried to hit Mayweather in the chin. So he was hair-butting him and the referee told him to cut it out and he tried to give Mayweather a pound. Nah. And Mayweather, what? Yeah. And he was fighting dirty, so Mayweather was like, forget it. We're going to fight dirty. Protect yourself at all times. Christian Fields, Joshua walked him down like a wounded victim.

38:28He did.

38:29Shannon Sharpe:He walked him down. Yeah, he did. But I can assure you, it was just to circle. Don't go to the right because that's his power hand. So it makes him go in left. But I don't think he anticipated running that much that early, Ocho. But that was his only chance. He wasn't going to stand there in the pocket and exchange with him. exchange with who? man please

38:59so

39:01Shannon Sharpe:Victor Ortiz that's who it was yeah Andy Lopez after watching Jake Paul's 40 takedown attempts and how gassed he got he should have he should have maybe say MMA UFC or the octagon again boy look here we've all wrestled is growing up, we don't wrestle now. But you remember how tired you got when you wrestled somebody, Ocho? Yes. So imagine the kind of shape that you have to be in to be MMA or to be a wrestler. Yeah. It's non-stop. Stop. Yeah. That's why I say combat sports is the most difficult sport to me in the world. To me in the world. I mean, obviously I understand hitting the baseball is difficult.

39:49I understand playing golf is difficult. But getting inside that ring and not having a conditioning when somebody's trying to knock your head off? Man, shh.

39:58Shannon Sharpe:Man, please. And you might think you have conditioning until you actually get in there. And that guy applying more pressure than you got applied to when you were using training camp. Boy, that's the worst. Mm-mm-mm.

40:14Shannon Sharpe:Kemper Norwood Jr. Oh, we should get Ocho versus James Harris live on Netflix sometime in 26. Yeah. we're gonna line it up we're gonna line it up Kemp yeah yeah and make sure make sure his cut man who gonna be James Harrison cut man cause he gonna need one

40:36I mean hey Joe Hayden make sure you watch YouTube get you some Vaseline learn how to heal up cuts and you put the Vaseline in there cause he gonna be leaking he gonna be leaking like a faucet

40:53Shannon Sharpe:Southern Gooner said Ocho that fight turned from problem child into problem solved that's a good one I ain't heard that one yet

41:07Shannon Sharpe:Pappy Ray said Ocho versus Brandon Jennings boxing he said he whipped you Ocho I like that tell him let's go he'll southpaw Ocho I don't care what he is he gonna be down south when I'm done with him

41:26Shannon Sharpe:the Florida man Jake Paul Logan Paul Chris Paul Alabama in three

41:34Shannon Sharpe:Philly talked with PA BJ Excom had an all time clutch game versus the Knicks that young backcourt nice Maxie and him probably but i can see them i can see them probably trying to move on from pg pg needs this is that they're not going in that knee too much i mean he can have a game here or there but he's never that contract is not going to be good for them in in next year it's not good for him now i mean what's the point of getting rid of him if the contract's not good you still got to pay the money anyway no i'm saying try to trade him oh okay okay okay okay he can come on down here to Miami.

42:17No.

42:18Shannon Sharpe:Jamichael Banks, what's up, birthday twins? January 9th, almost here, but hey, can y 'all shout out my two daughters' birthday that just passed? December 11th is my 13-year-old Amaya. December 15th, my two-year-old Zuri. We watching. P.S. Invite Cookie on the show one day. Jamichael, you might not get no birthday wishes to your girls. Happy birthday Amaya and Zuri. Happy 13th. Happy 13th year old birthday to Amaya and happy two-year-old happy to Zuri. Happy birthday, young lady. Hopefully you got something really, really special. Zuri, hopefully you got a birthday cake, got some candles, got some balloons, got clowns coming, had a nice birthday party for you and your friends.

43:04Amaya, I don't even know what you

43:06Shannon Sharpe:get. What do you get a 13-year-old? You got a 13-year-old. Wait, it's a girl then, right? Yes. it all depends on you know at 13 they already in this they already into stuff i'm not sure what her niche might be that she enjoys you just that's that's what you do then would you get them yeah okay baby oh she she went back on the game perp thunder jake paul got hit by love tap you give him that younger brother or cousin to let them know don't bark up this tree or it'll fall Yeah. Look, you saw the look when Joshua hit him, and he was like, whoa. It's different, huh? Yeah, yeah.

43:55Shannon Sharpe:Absolutely.

43:59Shannon Sharpe:Chris R. said, his name should be Jake Fogg. What a joke.

44:07Shannon Sharpe:cj c.j.025 hold up uh you looking good with that gray fox look appreciate that what do you think ocho let it grow a little bit more yeah hey let that thing go out because i'm telling you now if you let yours go out i'm going to get that unit i'm telling you okay i mean we we got the match. Jeremy Bernard and Lozair Brooks, Isaiah Horton, Ryan Williams, Unc Ocho. What's going on with the kids? Did the nail polish get to him? Lost for words. I don't know, Ocho. A lot of times in third down, Ocho, he's not even in the game. He's not even in the game, Ocho. Look, in all my years of being around the game and covering the game, I've never seen a guy have a precipitous fall like from his freshman year to his sophomore year, Ocho.

44:57Shannon Sharpe:Now, normally if a guy's injured, maybe he's injured or maybe he's dealing with something off the field that we don't know about. We don't know about, yeah. Ocho, not to be in there on third down? Yeah, that's crazy. And a lot of times, Ocho, they looked his way early. He slipped. They didn't come back to him until the fourth quarter. Yeah. That's crazy. Yeah, I don't know what it is. That is crazy. Young Bull done lost his confidence.

45:28Shannon Sharpe:Jimmy Hardy say, is Julio Jones a Hall of Famer? If so, Ocho is too. Look at the stats. Ocho fans going to ride on the Hall of Fame committee if they continue to play games. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I already have a jacket. I have a one-on-one. You can't find it. So we don't know if it exists anymore. It's around here somewhere. No, you ain't got it. Somebody got to find my damn jacket. maybe I get another one made

45:59uh

46:01Shannon Sharpe:Brendan message said really don't give a F what he's wearing like and subscribe that's what we try to do like and subscribe bro subscribe to the channel tell family friends and loved ones go subscribe to nightcap bro we trying to get that 2 million subs oh yeah help us out hook it up Alex the Great Chad at Ochocinco Johnson versus Al Anderson Spital Silver. Yeah. Silver just got clean KO, and he's 50-year-old. What you think, Unk? I like that. I like that. That's a good one. Hey, Anderson Silver, what's up, baby? Let me know. Let me know what you want to do. You want to get your feet dirty? I mean, what?

46:43Yeah.

46:49Shannon Sharpe:John Till are you saying that if I ran a lead draw on your 0-1 Ravens I wouldn't shake 52 and go 80 yards to the house? No. Hey if they were to give you a billion dollars a billion dollars and that's anybody in the chat you get a billion dollars if you play running back and you get five yards. You get five yards on the baltimore raven defense from two from 2000 no he not getting no two no that's anybody a billion i bet man please you talk about somebody off the street so you're talking about another regular just regular person off the street hell no five yards mind you you know you're starting the backfield back seven yeah basically you really got to get 13.

47:36yeah hell no

47:39Shannon Sharpe:man you may get somebody hurt

47:43Shannon Sharpe:CJ025 he out here reinventing himself with that look I don't know about reinventing myself I still feel like me I will let it go like I said I got a month yeah let me know I will see how it looks January 7th what if I got rid of the beard and just went with the goatee how you think the goatee will look I think it look good. I think, but what y 'all think about the goatee, but the full and you got to get the full set though. So you could be like, you could be like part of the silver Fox. You seen the silver Fox group, the young, the young fellas, but they're not young. With the gray beard. Yeah.

48:19Shannon Sharpe:They all got the gray beard. Yeah, man. Hey, them boy be clean too, boy. Somebody talk about I'll get 15 yards. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. You get about 40 yards in an ambulance. Carry your ass off the field. Oh, they coming to get you too. First of all, a regular person probably ain't never been hit before. Don't know how to fall. He'll end up falling on his shoulder and breaking his collarbone. So he's going to make a situation worse or separating his shoulder. So he's going to make a situation worse than what it already is. Mr. Jet Life makes me think that even with weight differences, Tank probably would have done him bad too.

48:57Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Because Tank has not – I don't know. When was the last time Tank fought? He fought Lamont. I don't think it's been 15 months since he fought. But Tank is going to let his hands go. Now, early on, Tank is going to feel it out. Always. Yeah. Yeah, so, yeah. So, nah. That wasn't a good one. Kumar said, fight shows Jake as a boxing clown. Sorry, but he is. Dude was on the run. Fall, grabbing AJ. Also, Tyron Wooden needs to stop boxing. Two losses, including a KO to Jake and a TKO by a 50-year-old Silva. He should have. He got you, man.

49:44Shannon Sharpe:Nasa Dude, much love, Uncle Nocho. If my Giants can get the right head coach, do you think they can take an NFC East next year? I don't know about taking an NFC East, but I think they can be better than what they are right now. Yeah, absolutely. Especially once they get the players that are injured. Once Cam comes back, Malik Nabors comes back healthy, Jackson Dart plays a little bit smarter play a little bit smarter they're going to be alright Mr. Jet Life 27 Bavall ain't play with Canelo he would turn Paul's face into ball up homework when you said Bavall I was like oh no he throw too many punches too many he was overwhelmed and god damn Anthony he wasn't even throwing and he was on his bicycle.

50:31Shannon Sharpe:I got a guy for him. I got a guy for him. What if he boxed Masvidal? No, man. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No. Okay. No. You won't get him hurt. Okay. Just making a suggestion. Slick underscore ass butter. Maybe Jake should go to the WWE with his brother. Now, his brother is really good in WWE. Very good.

51:02Shannon Sharpe:Jordan review SLT. He won't fight at 175. He won't fight Ramirez or Jack. He's, uh, he's the best. Uh, he he's best be going to wrestling. Hmm. Might got a point, man.

51:27Uh,

51:28Shannon Sharpe:you're sharing 51, 54. can we see Jake Paul fight Draymond Green Draymond ain't no fighter Draymond's a basketball player okay let's see Jake Paul play Draymond one on one if you want to make how that sound yeah you right Jake Paul is a fighter Jake Paul should fight fighters guys that have fighting boxing backgrounds look Look, MMA, they do a lot of things, so they're good at a lot of things, but they're not boxers. They're not. Even the best boxers in MMA ain't beating a same weight class guy in boxing. He not. As good as Ilya Tempori is, he getting there with a fighter, a boxer, he gonna get carried.

52:22He's different.

52:26Shannon Sharpe:Chris DeField's Ocho always talking about boxing somebody dog you almost 50 with respect if you don't sit your bird whoa whoa whoa whoa I'm 57 I'm almost I'm 57 but I'm in shape like I'm 22 there's a difference you gotta remember I have no wear and tear I have no injuries let me ask you a question if Jake Paul was in shape you think he'd be asking to Joshua no okay so it got it to do with shape so you can fight you can fight yeah hey that's me that's me that's me for Sean underscore show what's up Uncle Ocho since it's the holidays what's the best Christmas gift you got as a child oh as a child man a dog got a smiley face piggy bank I got a football game handheld football game me and Spank got Rock 'em Sock 'a Robots I had a Simon Says I got some good stuff I got 50 limb bicycles I got a bicycle down there every Christmas and leave it behind my granddaddy car and he back slap over it my best gifts was a Huffy a Huffy bike from Zares I'll never forget that Nintendo back in the days I was excited about Duck Hunt

55:35Shannon Sharpe:I don't know

55:39Shannon Sharpe:what you think the biggest difference between uh me and my brother you and yours I mean I mean they completely You older or younger? Remember, I got two brothers. I got my brother Sam and my younger brother Chauncey. I'm talking about young. You in the middle? Yeah, I'm in the middle. I'm in the middle. I mean, we completely totally opposites. My younger brother, like Wiz Khalifa. You know what I mean? Like, real chill. Love his music. He's a gamer like I am, too. and my older brother is more family oriented. You know, married, you know, kids, wife. Yeah, see? A blue collar worker, you know, one of them.

56:26Yeah, so we all opposite, complete opposites though.

56:32Shannon Sharpe:I think Spank and I are more, the only thing that I say we're vastly different, he likes to go, but he'll drive. So he's a driver. My brother get in the car, he'll drive to Florida, and he'll drive. He drove to the Hall of Fame. Yeah, he drove to the Hall of Fame. So I was like, nah, I can't do that, bro. Mm-mm. But I think that's the biggest difference. We have way more similarities. We kind of like the same things. Kind of listen to the same kind of music.

57:10Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. The only difference, I mean, he's married. I'm not. You will be. Yep, I'll be married. But that's the thing, Ocho, it's funny. Everybody that I knew was married. Everybody that I saw was married. My grandfather, my uncles, my aunts. All of them got married. It's all about timing, huh? Yeah. It's all about timing. I'm telling you, we're going to have a dual wedding. I don't know if a dual wedding has ever been had before, but we're going to be there. Well, uh... Can I tell you who's singing our wedding? Can I tell you who's singing? Which one of that was Showtime? It's time. Oh, yeah. Hey, can I tell you who's going to sing at our wedding?

57:53Who? We're going to have Jennifer Hudson. We're going to have Kiki Wyatt. We're going to have Selena Johnson. And we're going to have a live band. Right? And that's just part. That's just half of the show. but I got some other stuff in the works too

I ain't got time to worry about that man and what he got going on with his family.

1:00:51Shannon Sharpe:They'll figure it out. Yeah, when it's time to sing? Yeah. Boy, man, stop. Somebody told me Cookie loved him track. Nah, I love what Cookie did. man y 'all be in there with some bull giant man jj carver 80 ocho stop threatening people uh somebody gonna knock half the memory out of his peanut no more funny stories gonna have him out here slobbering to chew his shoelaces talk to him uh hey see this is what he don't understand there's a reason nobody's done anything after all the trash i talk because they understand and they already know see these things here they registered you hear me i laugh a lot i kiki ha ha ha but he these things can go.

1:01:41Shannon Sharpe:Christian Fields says, if Bama lost that game, we wouldn't have been mad. Y 'all don't know us real Bama fans. Expectations were met just making the playoffs. It's the second year. Uh-uh. That is not the expectations of Bama. You know that. That's not the expectations of Bama. Yeah. Maybe somebody else? Absolutely. But when you're a six-time national championship in the last 15 years and you've won countless SEC championships and you lost another three times in the national title game, that is not the expectation of getting to the playoffs. That is not acceptable. Not at the Alabama. The Alabama Crimson Tide?

1:02:25Shannon Sharpe:Oh, no.

1:07:10Shannon Sharpe:uh King Fran B Ocho how hard is it to accept The fact that your football career was finally over It wasn't hard for me It wasn't hard for me My transition was easy I ain't had no choice but I was at peace I ain't had no choice I sat inside that How big that little cell is Shit

1:07:38I knew when I walked about that bitch It was a wrap

1:07:43why you laughing they helped you make that decision quick I wasn't no fool I understood they were waiting on me to mess up

1:07:54Shannon Sharpe:no y 'all see all these injuries I had I played 14 years could I come back for a 15th year yes I was planning on coming back but when CBS put that thing on the table say we know hey come here and I talked to Sean McManus who just retired. Congratulations, Sean, on 30 years at CBS. Tony Bettiti, who's the Big Ten commissioner, he and Sean ran CBS Sports, came in there. I talked to both of them. We spent about two hours. I got home the next day. My agent called said, the job is yours if you want it. I said, yep, my football career's over. It was just like that. but even Ocho even when I went to interview for the job I told my agent I said man I sure hope I get that job he said why you say that I said because it's the first time I've ever thought about doing something other than playing football it was the first time that something else crossed my mind that I was interested in other than playing football I gotta get it blessed be y 'all the shadow of a doubt Now, Uncle Ocho just asked some clarity about raising canes.

1:09:11Shannon Sharpe:It was founded here in Louisiana. True. The idea came from the founder, Todd Graves, raising his dog. Name was Cain. Love you guys. Oh, that's dope. Yep. I think he took all his money. He was working on a rig, an oil rig, something. Took all his money, saved up. Now it's worth about$8,$9 billion. That's dope. I like that little back story. McDowell's. Bama got the win tonight. Thoughts on their next matchup with Indiana. Indiana's good. Very good. After watching them like a couple of games this year, no, they're really, really good. They deserve to be the number one team in the country. They're really good.

1:09:52Shannon Sharpe:Their offense can – and their defense is – their defense is better than advertised. Bama's going to have their hands full.

1:10:08Shannon Sharpe:they're going to have to play one of their better football games. The damn show can't turn the football over.

1:10:14Shannon Sharpe:Nutritionist life back to the 90s. Who had the best nuggets, KFC or Mickey D's?

1:10:23I don't remember having KFC nuggets,

1:10:28Shannon Sharpe:but I still rock with McDonald's chicken nuggets. Now, I did have those honey barbecue wings from KFC. They still got those. Well, Jordan, I know you don't eat nothing. This joker don't want to eat nothing but pasta. Ask him about something about Olive Garden. Oh, you know about that pasta? Oh, cheese cake factory, Jordan. You know about that pasta? Man, that joker's against noodles. Man, look here.

1:10:54Shannon Sharpe:He probably got a whole doomsday seller with nothing but noodles. D-Town, Uncle Ocho, who's the running back and wide receiver that never got his flyers? I always say Steven Jackson, Armand Green, Torrey Holt, and Quan Bolton were underrated. Well, I think Holt and Bolt are on – didn't they make the final 25? I believe I think Torrey Holt did. Of the home? Yeah, Torrey Holt did, yep. Yeah, Armand. I played against Armand. I was in – what was I? I was in – I was back my last year. My last year in Denver, 03. We played against them. He went off on – I think he had like 200 yards. Damn. Yeah. I don't think I played against Jack.

1:11:43Shannon Sharpe:But, hey, he got almost 12 ,000 yards, so, yeah, he was a hell of a football player. You don't put up those stats by not being a hell of a football player. Alabama stormed back from a 17-0 deficit to win 34-24 on the road against Oklahoma. Oklahoma had beaten them twice in a matter of 13 months, but this time was different.

1:14:14Shannon Sharpe:They stormed back, they kept their composure.
