In short
College football and NFL hot takes plus a few sideline/entertainment stories. Main focus is Colorado’s loss to BYU and what it says about Colorado’s roster-building/NIL resources; then Notre Dame’s blowout, Tennessee’s overtime win, a Louisville ball-boy sideline incident, and discussion of NIL/pay-to-play and coaching philosophy. NFL segments cover Russell Wilson trade chatter and Monday-night matchup talk, plus a story about Lance Briggs’ halftime speech and a “player fade” betting segment.
Guests
Johnny Manziel (former NFL QB, Heisman winner; hosts “Glory Days with Johnny Manziel”) joins the regular hosts (Ocho and CJ Carr are referenced as co-hosts).
Key claims
- Colorado can’t stop the run (about 36 rushes, 206 yards allowed) and lacks “trenches” personnel; therefore they won’t reach the playoff.
- Coach Prime may need to leave if the program can’t compete in the trenches.
- NIL has created “casualties of war” because some programs can’t match bankrolls (Colorado vs Ohio State money).
- Paying players is inevitable; coaches who resist may lose jobs.
Notable examples
- BYU QB wore No. 47 and went 19/27 for 179 yards with two TDs.
- Notre Dame beat Arkansas 56-13; C.J. Carr threw 4 TDs (first career game vs Northwestern noted earlier).
- Tennessee beat Mississippi State 41-34 OT; Louisville ball boy allegedly tried to keep the opposing team’s ball after a pick-six.

2:42Shannon Sharpe:With a chance to win the game, Caden Salter threw a pick with 50 seconds remaining, and BYU wins the game 24-21. Look. Damn. The Buffs are 1-7. Hold on. Let me pull this game up. Because, again, I don't know what's going on. They're going to have to go get some linemen. They're going to have to go get some D linemen, Ocho. Yeah. Because guess what? again they can't stop the damn run you live and die you live and die in the trenches you live and die in the trenches that is the only thing that separates the power five schools from everybody else is the fact that in them trenches offensively and defensively you got some hogs that can really go and can really play if you can't stop the run you dead in the water.
3:39You're going to lose every game. It doesn't matter who you're playing. You're going to be playing the Sisters of the North. If you ain't got nothing up front, they're going to beat you.
3:49Shannon Sharpe:36 rushes, 206 yards, giving up a touchdown. Hell, they ran like a handoff to the wide receiver and then nobody touched him with a 32-yard touchdown and nobody touched him until he got to the two. Hold up. Didn't BYU got a quarterback number 47? That should be illegal. Ain't no way. What number is the quarterback? Wasn't he number 47? He playing 47, that quarterback? I think so. I saw 47 throw a pass. Maybe it was a halfback pass or something. What's the quarterback? What number is... I got it. Yeah. He's a quarterback. Number 47, 19 to 27 for 179 and two touchdowns. Ain't no way I'm losing to a guy wearing 47.
4:36Shannon Sharpe:them and the tissue don't work the same year after year they got i get it if 1920s and 30s quarterbacks had 60 numbers they had all kind of numbers yeah in today's game this man got 47. yeah hey listen it's the significance behind that we just don't know what it is he went john lynch we got john lynch playing quarterback
5:07Shannon Sharpe:Lynch a hell of a player. But come on, Colorado. Y 'all got to – what we doing, Ocho? We ain't got the players, huh? They don't have the players. You don't have the players to compete. That's it. And the ones that are there, they're making mistakes that you can't make. You can't overcome the mistakes that they're making, the decision-making, especially at the quarterback position. That's very important. The question is, does he got to get out of there? because it's going to take a lot, a lot of money, a couple years to get guys in the program to be able to compete in the trenches like that because the talent you're playing and the teams you're playing aren't SEC caliber.
5:50What happens when you get into the playoff and you play one of these top dogs? It ain't going to go very well. So if this is a question, he got to go. Yeah.
6:02Shannon Sharpe:you're not going to ever get into the college football playoffs if you cannot stop the run. You're giving up 200-plus rush yards a game. We just talked, hold on, who did they play the other night and they gave up damn near 300 rush yards, Ocho? And we came over here and said the exact same thing. It was the exact same thing last year. They couldn't stop the run. The previous year, they couldn't stop the run. And here we are in year three, and they still haven't gotten better at stopping the run. Damn. Tough. Listen, you can coast till you're blue in the face. You can scheme up. You can know about tendencies.
6:42You can study. You can watch film. Unless you have the personnel to get out there and execute. Whatever it is you need to execute, especially in them trenches, you're going to get steamrolled every goddamn week.
6:54Shannon Sharpe:They did something to stop them. They had a 14-3 lead. And then they had a 21-17 lead. So they did something. So what happened after that? 11 of 16, 119 yards. He plays good in Spurs and then he forgets that. I don't know. They ran the ball well tonight. They had 37 rush attempts, 172 yards. These are the type of... Because everybody said, well, this was an opportunity for the Buffs at home to be the ranked team that was undefeated. This is the opportunity. These are the moments that you seize upon. And they squander this. Now, we remember last year what happened on Jordan. Remember in the bowl game?
7:41Shannon Sharpe:What BYU did to them? Yeah. Hey, Unc, you got to have the personnel to capture those moments you're talking about. Johnny, you got to have the personnel. You got to have them dogs. At least two or three of them. We're talking about Colorado at prime one. We wouldn't even be talking about Colorado if prime wasn't there. They wouldn't even be nowhere on the radar. This ain't the Colorado, the 2000s, or the 90s, or whatever. 90s. This is not Coach McCartney, the rest of your soul. No, they had players. They had a bunch of first-round draft picks. Look at Alfred Williams, Canavis McGee. They had Cordell was there, and they had Rashawn Salam, and they had Deion Figures.
8:27Shannon Sharpe:They had Chad Brown. No, they had players. They had players. They had Eric B. Ennemi, J.J. Flanagan. No. Westbrook? Michael Westbrook? Yes. Ray Caruth. They had first – they were loaded. Go back and look at the offensive linemen that they had. They were loaded. There's a reason why they won a national championship. There's a reason why they put foots in Nebraska when Nebraska was really, really good on Thanksgiving or the day after Thanksgiving, excuse me. no they don't have that level of talent and they're not going to get that level of talent because you don't have the resources to get you know if you can't do it with time you can't do it with no one no they don't they don't they don't have them look when you go into the grocery store all the stuff that they want you to get is eye level the really cheap stuff is on the bottom or on the top everything that they want you to purchase is right there in your eye level you can just reach and grab it right we got we got a lot of bottom of the barrel over there the really top players at the top right and they don't have a step ladder to reach up there and get it i don't know if y 'all been in the grocery store lately but go in the grocery store and look our level and see them they got all the name brand stuff not the stuff that's in paper the cereal that's in cellophane bags.
9:51Shannon Sharpe:They got the box, the Kellogg, the good stuff. You see, right? You walk in, it's outlet. Let me get right here. All the cooking sauces, all the oils, right there, right there. All the good soda, right there, right there. All the good water. Yeah. Right there, right there. And arms reach. It's not like that in football. The really good players are up there. you have to reach up you have to have reach up to get him or you have excuse me can you hand me that son you know I'm in the grocery store and the old lady excuse me son yes ma 'am can you hand me that sure hey but the funny thing about it too about those things that are not in arms reach you know who it would take for Colorado to change their program around who it would take for one of the Saudis to be interested in Colorado for some reason and go buy up all the players that come there and transfer.
10:50Yeah. That's about it. That is about it. There's only so much you can do coaching-wise. There's only so much you can do. So they're just screwed forever. Man, listen. You know when you rub your head. Hey, yeah.
11:14Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, look, it's hard when, I mean, Colorado might have, what, three, four million dollars in IL, and then you got other teams like Ohio State got 25-30, and you got teams that got 15-20, and you got teams that got 20-25, and you got teams that got 10-15. You can't compete. It's just like racing. NASCAR. Yeah. Look at the teams that got the money. you look at Penske you look at uh uh uh uh Joe Gibbs yeah and you notice that you look at Jack you look at Jack Roush and you hey I'm glad you just said that you notice when it comes to NASCAR or it comes to F1 the teams that have the most money you do notice that they always consistently winning or always in the top, always in first.
12:07Yes.
12:09Shannon Sharpe:Every year. Ocho, you know how you know who got the good cars? Go look at their cars. When you go see a car that got like two or three decals on it, they're going to be in the back. You go to the track and you see decals everywhere on the hood, on the bumper, everywhere. The cars even sound different. I don't know if anybody's ever been to a NASCAR race, go listen to Chase Elliott's car. Listen to Danny Hamlin's car. Listen to Bubba Wallace's car. Now go listen to somebody that's not with Jordan, that's not with Roush, that's not with Joe Gibbs, that's not with Rick Hendricks. Listen to Rick Hendricks' cars, how they sound.
12:57Shannon Sharpe:Listen to Joe Gibbs' drivers' cars, how they sound. Look at – But we always said, and we always knew, there would be perils of the NIL and the changes that came with it. There would be casualties of war in the changes that were made just based off what your bankroll is. If I walk into a casino and I got two grand, my options are limited for what I can win. If I walk in and my bankroll is$24 million, I got some fuck-around money to go on. There are casualties of war in this game with the current structure of what NIL is. Now, will that change? To be determined. However, right now, as we sit currently in this present day, there are casualties.
13:41And unfortunately, Colorado is one of them. And there are many more out there. Damn.
13:50Shannon Sharpe:You people talking about it's the drivers. I tell you what. You let them drivers. You let them drivers. Go drive a car. They got three decals on it and let me know how that fit. Let that go how it goes No, they won't they won't be able to do nothing. I ain't tell you what so much. I'm telling what I know If you don't have a car with the stuff inside to perform at the highest level, it's not happening. No You got you got the best engineers. You got the best mechanics. You got the best spotter You got the best team that money can buy. There's a reason why Rick hit go back and look at you who drivers win the chase I forgot about Richard Childress go back and see how many it used to be hold on Sprint and then it was a Winston Cup and now it's I don't know what they call it now but go back and look at Rick Hendricks, Childress Joe Gibbs go back and look at their drivers go back and look at how many cups they've won right it's bro it'll be just like Ocho and I we going out there we getting on the bad circuit no it's not me and Ocho we got a little trolling motor we had an 18 foot and we ain't got no outboard we ain't got no every rule or no mercury let me catch you and Ocho on the bad circuit I'm a asshole hey I'm Van Dam I'm Kevin Van Dam.
15:25Shannon Sharpe:Why y 'all bucking him? You out there with a fucking hat. I better never catch Mike Alconelli on the wall.
15:36Shannon Sharpe:But Johnny, you look. In big-time college football, it has always mattered. People are like, oh, all the NIL deal is legal instead of giving it to you under the table. Because see, what people were doing, some teams was buying gas the other team was buying the car for you to put gas in somebody bought a refrigerator and a microwave and then somebody built the house around the refrigerator and the microwave now ain't none of that we call it name, image, and likeness we call it whatever you want to but all I know there are some guys making 3-4 million dollars and now it ain't enough nobody cares about no scat pack Ain't nobody caring about no challenger.
16:24Shannon Sharpe:Ain't nobody caring about no charger. Ain't nobody caring about that. Hey, you ain't got McLaren money. You ain't got Ferrari, Cullinan money. Man, why you in my grandma's house? No, I went to, like I said earlier, I went to dinner with Pavi the night, and as I got up towards the end of the Georgia game, I went to the waiter, and I go, yo, let me get the check. I'm going to take care of it for my young buck real quick. He came back. He's like, yo, the owners already took care of this whole thing. I sat there. I'm like, damn. I would have got slapped with a two-game suspension for this back in my day.
16:57Now he's here. I'm living the life. I'm about to go out with him right now, and I'm going to run my credit card up because I know I can get him a tweet deal tomorrow or something, get it right back.
17:08Shannon Sharpe:Johnny, had you been an NIL, Johnny, you'd have been 10 million. I wouldn't have gone to the league. I would have taken a pay cut. Oh, I mean, think of, hold on. Think about what Arch Manning is making. Now, think about Johnny, and he's playing like he's playing. He wins the Heisman, and he brings his ass back. What does a Heisman trophy work to a college and the guy is back for another season? Go look at that stadium now. Go look at what that program is now and those facilities and what A &M looks like now. What? I look at it now as a blessing for the program. A blessing is the whole look. I got to set it off in such a positive way for A &M.
17:53Now it's time to take it home. And I can have that. I have that forever. I go back to my grandma's house on Thanksgiving. I walk in that house. The first thing that stares me in the face is that trophy. I go back for Christmas, the same thing. That is a forever thing that nobody can ever take away from me. I go to December every single year with my coat on and walk to Times Square and go see my boys who have all won that trophy and been there, it's a family. It's a fraternity. It's special. Sport and this game is badass. And if you win that, you are forever badass.
18:26Shannon Sharpe:Forever. Forever. Forever. Johnny, thank you for joining us tonight. Make sure you go subscribe to Johnny Manziel's podcast. It's called Glory Days with Johnny Manziel. 19:09Shannon Sharpe:When you're moving like I do, trips don't always come together weeks in advance. Sometimes production shoots, interviews, or something I've got to travel for on a short notice. 24:04Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, CJ Carr matched the Notre Dame freshman record with four touchdown passes, and Jeremiah Love caught two of those passes and rushed for two more scores as the Fighting Irish beat Arkansas 56-13. Carr, 22 of 30, 354, matched a touchdown passing record by Ron Paulus and threw four scores in the first career game against Northwestern in 1994. Carr, a redshirt freshman, threw for 294 in the four touchdowns in the first half, leading the scoring drive, 75, 73, 75, 70, 75, and 45 yards. He didn't play the fourth quarter as Notre Dame led by 36 points. Ocho, you're impressed with the Fighting Irish?
Read the full transcript
24:48Yeah.
24:50Shannon Sharpe:They had a bad loss. Was it last week, Ocho? Did they lose? It was a good bounce back based on what happened last week. The group got themselves together, dust themselves off, come back, make a statement, have a statement game. This was their statement game. This was their statement game. Now, what you want to do as far as for the Fighting Irish, you don't want to lose any more games, though. No, you can't. You can't. You're done. You lose another game, you're done. You're not going anywhere. I don't believe there'll be a team to make the college football playoffs. Now, maybe, Ochoa, if they expand it, we're too long.
25:23Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. No.
25:28Shannon Sharpe:I mean, you look at what they did. They had 431 yards passing. They had 210 yards rushing. That's 641 yards. Arkansas had 17. Damn, Joe. Joe might need to get back out there. Joe might, you need to invest some money, Joe, in this program. Y 'all want to, you know, keep stuff like this from happening. 30 rushes, 158 yards for Arkansas, 17 to 32, 207. No touchdowns, one interception. But Notre Dame got it going early and often. They scored 14 in the first quarter, 28 in the second quarter. So they had 40, it was 42, 13 at the half. They got seven in the third. And so Carr didn't play in the fourth quarter, but there was no need for him to play.
26:14Shannon Sharpe:But they look good. They look, look. They played an inferior team, and when you play an inferior team, you're killing that with a slate. That's what it should look like. You're absolutely right, Ocho. But this is what we need to see when you play the big boys. Well, look, maybe you're not going to see 56-13, but you need to see a little bit. Ocho, hold on. Who did they lose to? Was it Northern Illinois last year that they ended up losing to? I think they lost to Texas A &M. I'm like, come on, man. What are you doing? Right, right. I think that's who they might have lost to Texas A &M this year.
26:49Shannon Sharpe:They've lost a couple of games this year.
26:54But Texas A &M. And didn't they lose to Northern Illinois last year also?
27:08Yeah. Yeah, that was the game that, right, that was the game that, you know,
27:14Shannon Sharpe:I think he reached out to the coach and the coach told him how they beat him and some of the tendencies, some of the things that was going on. But this is a big way to get a nasty taste out of your mouth. Yeah. Losing is to go on the road and thump somebody by the score of 56 to 13. Number 15, Tennessee beats Mississippi State 41-34 in overtime. The Volunteers finished with 466 total yards of offense. Mississippi State had this game, and then the quarterback, all of a sudden, he couldn't keep his feet. He rolled out. Feet go out from under him. I just don't – sometimes I don't understand these teams.
27:53Shannon Sharpe:They be playing so good and just methodically just moving the ball up and down the field, short stuff, intermediate stuff, sprinkle some runs in, a little screen here and there. and then all of a sudden they forget what they did to get them to lead or, you know, they get conservative, Ocho. Listen, it's always getting conservative. You throw everything in the kitchen sink at them. Then you run out of plays to call. So when you run out of plays to call, what's the first thing you do? You go in your safe box. Your safe box will get you beat every time. You're right. Tennessee got a heck of a schedule.
28:30Shannon Sharpe:They still got Alabama on their schedule. What's Tennessee's schedule looking like? Because they lost to, I think, Georgia in overtime last week.
28:49Shannon Sharpe:Oh, here it is right here. Got it in the game right here.
28:56Shannon Sharpe:Oh, they got Oklahoma still on the schedule. They got Bama in Bama. Aguilar threw for 2440, 335 touchdowns, two interceptions. They ran the ball 32 times for 131 yards, had two receivers go over 100 yards receiving. Mississippi State, shaping 18 or 29, 180, one touchdown, one interception. They ran the ball 57 times. Damn. 57 rushing tips for 198 yards. 57. Damn. Damn. That's what I said.
29:37Shannon Sharpe:But Tennessee, they found a way to get it done. Stopped them on fourth down in overtime, and they get a much-needed hard-fought victory on the road against an SEC opponent. Tennessee escapes. 41-34 for Mississippi State in overtime. Louisville, student manager, had gotten to scuffle with Pitt defensive back over football. After Pitt said, you said, Ojo, for those unaware, each team brings their own balls to the game. After the pick six, the ball boy job is to retrieve the ball back, but the guy's work wasn't playing fair. Ojo, have you ever seen a situation like that before? No, that was my first time seeing something like that.
30:18And obviously the ball boy wanted the ball back because it was the other team's ball.
30:23Shannon Sharpe:It was his team's ball. It was West Virginia's ball, right? Because that game was at West Virginia, right, Ash?
30:33Shannon Sharpe:So Louisville picked it off. Yeah. So the game was at home on the road. But either way, it was their ball. Because it was the opposing team's ball. His job is to get the ball back. He wanted to keep it. He wanted to keep the interception ball. Yeah, yeah. So he was playing with it. I guess he was going to throw it up in the stands and give it to the opposing team. I mean, to the fans. right now normally we see we see the ball but Ocho running you know keep it up he likes the guys running he keeping up with him we see that from time to time yeah but I don't know if I've ever seen a situation like this hey they're like bro back up man he wasn't playing but he was not playing by trying to get that ball back but that was Louisville ball boy though right yeah
31:23Shannon Sharpe:bro back up man you're doing too much you take the job way too serious bro they'll probably tell him say hey look i understand you do it you're doing your job but if a situation like that just let it go let it go yeah yeah
31:42Shannon Sharpe:hey hey you're hard work he hey you're hard working ocho he go for a he's a guy he followed He followed instruction. And, you know, listen, it ain't only the players that's getting paid now. You know? Everybody get a little check out there. I need that. No, I think that I don't know a ball boy yet, but he get to travel though, Ocho. You know what I'm saying? I get to travel. Ocho, think about it now. If you're a college student, now a lot of times the ball boy might be one of the coach's sons or something like that because a lot of times the ball boy would coach his kids. You know, somebody that worked for the Broncos or worked for the Ravens.
32:19Shannon Sharpe:You know, Kyle – Coob's son, Clint, he got two sons, Clint and Klein. I think he got three boys. But two of them off as a coordinator. Clint called plays for Seattle. They used to be out there shagging balls. They used to do all kinds of stuff. So that was the thing. You know, the coaches' kids, you know, position coaches, DB coaches, whatever, they shag balls. Right. Now, everybody didn't get to go. But, you know, a lot of times, coach's son, before they had the cordless mic, you remember they used to have the cord. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And so the coach's son or somebody had to carry the coach's son because they didn't want people stepping on it.
32:56Right.
33:00Shannon Sharpe:Man, I remember, hey, I remember Jeffing Gathers was supposed to be going into the game, and he didn't see the cord. And by this time, they had pulled the cord. So it was up. Yeah, so he was getting ready just to step over it. Yeah. They snatched the cord. So jumping getting ready to step over it, it caught his foot. Man, jumping like, go on out. Man, it's the stuff that happened on the sideline, Ocho. I used to be laughing. Coaches get run over. Yeah. Get ran into. I got to make sure you're okay, Ocho. Make sure you're okay. Oh, he get up. It's over. You laughing. What? Hey, don't let us win the game if you got run over and you get your ass on that bus.
33:51Shannon Sharpe:Right. Oh, you're going to get it. What? Forever? Mm-hmm. Forever. Oh, it be 10 years deep. Hey, man, you remember you got ran over in Indy? Hey, that's one of them everlasting moments that ain't ever going. When you're moving like I do, trips don't always come together weeks in advance. Sometimes production shoots, interviews, or something I've got to travel for on a short notice. Like the time when I had the last minute trip to Denver and everything came together fast. Once it was locked in, I had to be ready to go. That's where Amazon Prime can make a difference. 39:05Shannon Sharpe:Man, hey, that manager's like, look here. I wonder if they get scholarship. Oh, he might get partial scholarship for that. Who that? The student manager. He might get some books or some tuition off his tuition. Probably. Probably. Listen, I know he get a little chunk of change now. I just know it.
39:26Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, Oklahoma State Five veteran coach Mike Gundy earlier this week, this is what the greatest head coach in college football had to say about Gundy's firing. Some people have a tougher time embracing the whole idea of paying players, especially some of us old-timers. It's a little bit more difficult. Coaching is teaching, and teaching is the ability to inspire learning. For those of us who kind of get that, that's been our self-gratification for so many years. Embracing paying the players has been a little bit harder, and I think ultimately that's what got them at Oklahoma State. It's going to get Dabo too.
40:09Oh, yeah, absolutely.
40:10Shannon Sharpe:But Dabo was supposed to be gone. Dabo was supposed to have been left. When he said the moment they start playing, before you go. Dabo said the moment they start paying college players, he's up out of there. Yeah. Listen, I call that small talk. When you're talking small talk, you're just talking just to talk. You know good and well you want to go on the web. And the fact that if you don't want to pay, now you're seeing it might cost you your job on the back end. Because you got to pay to win. One thing you got to do in life, no matter what you do is you got involved with the times pay to play you've gotten involved with the time it's hey hey this notion hey well if you're tired of winning no the expectations are you just can't win dabo no you can't and you know that i don't ocho i don't care if somebody else is getting paid as long as I'm getting paid.
41:16Shannon Sharpe:You think I, let's just say for the sake of argument, Ocho, I make$5 million. Yeah. All of a sudden I work for this company and they want to pay the janitor$700 ,000. Why I care? Right. His$700 ,000 ain't coming out of my pay. Right. Dabo makes$11,$12 million a year. Why do you care in order to still field a good competitive team and go to that and win national championships? Why do you care? Right. If a player makes a million,$2 million, it's not coming out of your salary. I don't know. It's just something. He's an old school coach, huh? Yes. You know, I think I've been such and such making some.
41:56Shannon Sharpe:I don't care what such and such make. Not one dime came out of Shannon's pocket. So guess what? I'm happy such and such making this. Right. As long as it don't come out of my pocket, as long as you don't take for me to pay somebody else, I don't give a damn who gets paid. Yeah. I think also, you know how it is too with kids. They already don't listen with no money. You add money, it's a whole different ballgame. But you know that. A whole different ballgame. Ocho, it's the same. Look, listen, a lot of kids now are like this. Yeah. The more you give a kid, the more... It is what it is. Yeah. But guess what?
42:37Shannon Sharpe:It's on a one-year thing. college scholarship you have to renew the college scholarship it's college you don't get a scholarship for four years it gets it gets renewed every year yeah okay he unruly move on move on the ones that want to be there the ones that have aspirations of going further will listen do what they need to do make their money and move on yeah those that won't those that don't, you're going to have to move on. There have been good players in the NFL that teams have had to let go. There have been good players at any job sometimes that don't want to listen that you have to let go.
43:21Shannon Sharpe:It is what it is. But Coach Saban said it. Some of us old-timers, that's why Coach Saban left. Everybody knows what I think of St. Nick, but that's why. Yeah. I mean, that was common sense. Yes. Coach Avin had one of the biggest car dealerships in the country.
43:47Damn. Listen, I'm picking up what you're putting down. I'm picking up what you're putting down.
43:54Shannon Sharpe:Did you see?
43:58Shannon Sharpe:Who was that, Ocho? Texas when they had them recruits and they had all them Ferraris and Lambos and McLaren out in the stadium out in the stadium yes absolutely now you know all of a sudden a demon don't look and I like I got a challenge I got the black ghost right but all of a sudden I'm seeing Ferrari and Lambos and McLaren right you know what ugh all of a sudden that Hellcat and that demon and that ooh it ain't the same That track hawk don't look the same, Ocho. I like track hawks. It ain't the same. And Coach Saban said, we got a hard time. We're not used to players getting paid that we knew about.
44:44But now we know about it, it's harder for them to adjust, Ocho.
44:52Shannon Sharpe:That's just the sign of the times, Ocho. Guess what? It used to be a situation that players didn't make more than coaches. So you had some level of control. Now the players are making 10 times what the coach makes. Oh, yeah. At least double. Except the big coaches. Well, I mean, just think about it. Probably the highest paid coach now might be Andy Reid. Let's just say Andy Reid makes$18 million. How many players in the NFL making more than$18 million? 300 400 i mean how many quarterback oh so think about wait how far you got to go down before you find a quarterback that's making 20 million because he started 60 and now you got receivers making 40 you got edge rushers making 40 you got corners making 20 yeah hell you got a tight end making 19 running backs making 20 so you probably got at least 100 players at least 100 i'll say 100 at least making 20 million dollars a year ocho yeah at least 100 nfl players man you won't believe what i just did man what'd you just do i just went to drink the ball it's covered with ants oh you must have left it out it's right here in front of me you just opened it no it's been sitting there i've been you know sipping but when i just drink just now i'm like what the hell is all this on my lips it's covered with ants so i didn't drink some of the ants by accident you say you tried you say you like chocolate covered ants So they just didn't have no chocolate on them.
46:43Nah. Damn.
46:49Well, you all right.
46:51Shannon Sharpe:It won't kill you. You ate worse things than that. Like what? No, no. I'm on probation.
47:05Shannon Sharpe:I've been taught probation. Yeah. Russell Wilson could be on the trade block for several teams. Despite Wilson publicly stating that he's not going to request a trade from the Giants, he's expected to emerge as a major trade candidate prior to the November 4th deadline. Quarterback injuries have already hit the Commanders, Vikings, 49ers, and Bengals. Ocho, which team could you see shooting their shot at Russ? I mean, look at the situation for the teams. You said Commanders, Jaden Daniels will be back. Viking, J.J. McCarthy, how long is J.J. out? J.J. is not out that long. They didn't say. I think they said maybe two weeks.
47:49Yeah, so J.J. will be back. If anything, the only team that makes sense whose quarterback is going to be out for a substantial amount of time is the Bengals. So, I mean, Russell Wilson to the Bengals. If anything, I mean, I like it being that Russell Wilson to throw off the ball and he goes to a situation that's a little bit better for him because you have players around you, you don't have to elevate them. They're going to elevate your play, being that what he has at his disposal as far as weaponry is concerned. Joe Burrow doesn't come back to December. And the funny thing, depending on how we play this year, if we're not doing well, Monday night is going to be a tall tale for that.
48:26Depending on how that game goes, there's a chance Russell Wilson might be in the building next week.
48:33Shannon Sharpe:I think the thing the problem is Ocho he'll be going to a team that his offensive line isn't much better than what he's leaving in New York oh yeah now he does have he does but we've seen at the end of the day it's hard to throw back get completions on your back yeah yeah most definitely most definitely but it's sure gonna be sweet having one and five to throw to though yeah for sure We're going to be sweet having one and five to throw to. I know. I can tell you that. Jake Browning got one and five to throw to. Would you see him running for his life?
49:10Shannon Sharpe:And he going to be running for his life again because guess what? Yeah. The Broncos can rush the passer. Oh, man. We ain't paying the Broncos no mind, man. You got to rush the passer. We ain't paying the Broncos no mind. Because I'm telling you, when we come on the show Monday. When we come on the show. No, Sunday night. Oh, it's over for you. Monday. Monday. Monday. Monday. It's Monday night game. Do me a favor. Don't come on here sad. Don't come on here with no excuses. I ain't going to be sad. Don't come on. Sean Payton did this and Bo Nix didn't do that. I don't want to hear nothing. One thing I know about Jake Browning, he has never lost a Monday night game.
49:42Shannon Sharpe:He ain't never played one either.
49:47Shannon Sharpe:Does that matter? Never lost a Monday night game. Does that matter? All right. You'll see. Okay. You'll see. All right. Lance Briggs apparently gave one of the worst Halftime speeches ever Take a listen to this Ocho Wait Briggs had the worst speech I've ever heard In my entire football career Like high school College and pro It was the worst We were losing to Cincinnati Lance was in charge of the huddle That week because I think Black was out I think Black was hurt that year So Lance gets everybody together. He said, I usually don't say nothing. I usually don't speak out on these matters like this.
50:35Shannon Sharpe:But everybody bring it in. I got something to say. I got something to say. And I usually don't do this. Man, we got to win. Bring it in, man. The worst speech I've ever had in my life. That was it. That was it. And everyone, when he said it, was like, what? He didn't motivate nothing. He didn't motivate all this. Man, we lost worse after that. I felt like quitting. We came out and scored five more touchdowns after that speech. Lance Briggs, you one of the worst motivational speakers I've ever heard in my life. You still want to go. Just not for motivational speeches. hey but that's funny man i was waiting on something deep i was waiting on something deep and philosophical when it when it comes to speeches i'm the best person i know when i think about giving speeches and i ain't even play with i ain't even play with ray i ain't even play with ray but when it comes to you know motivating and the right thing man race special boy man I was tired man when you talk about breaking up any dogs in the house right I did that the first week right I was out of breath I moved to the back hey Ocho I right down there with it any dogs in the house any dogs in the house I right down with it Ocho the next week I'm in the back yep I'm here hey them boys used to be Y 'all used to be getting turned.
52:17Oh, we'd be hyped.
52:20Shannon Sharpe:The greatest intro Shug had, still has the greatest intro in sports history. Nobody will ever top that entry. Easily. Nobody. Nobody will ever top Shug's entry. Nobody. So don't try. If you want, John Wall Dougie, he never had an entry, an intro, nobody. Michael Jordan's bull, hand at guard, 6 '6 from North Carolina, and at 6 '8 from St. Vincent, St. Mary, ain't nobody touching children. Ain't nothing like Ray, boy. Wasn't nothing like Ray. Yeah, but I couldn't do it, man. I had done got old, I had to get to the back. I ain't had them kind of lungs on me no more, man. Hey, because I was already, I'm already like, see me and you a lot of like, see I'm already an emotional player.
53:18Shannon Sharpe:I already get hyped. Oh yeah. So the last thing I need, man, I ended up took, man, I let them boys talk me up, Ocho. Yeah. You know, you used to get these pills to get you, you know, get you going. Yeah. So they're like, man, I said, man, man, give me one of them things. So I took two of them, Ocho. Two? Two? Before the game? Like 30 minutes before the game, Ocho. Nah, as a matter of fact, Ocho, like, we coming off the field, so we get to the locker room. Right. Hey, man, let me get everybody. I see everybody else taking them, Ocho. I'm a rookie. Hey, man, give me that. Right. Oh, Lord. Man.
54:11Be fast.
54:19Shannon Sharpe:I said, damn. I said, well, you know what? You know, hey, and I'm, you know, everybody got headphones on. So I got me some headphones. You know, I have my headphones. So I'm going to get right to it. I'm going to be. I'm like, okay, let me take the headphones off. Maybe it's the music. Trying to take some deep breaths.
54:43Shannon Sharpe:My heart is slowing down to Ocho.
54:49Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, we win the kick and we deferred. So I got to run. So Ocho, I got to run down.
54:59Shannon Sharpe:No, no, no, no, no. We lost the kick. I'm on kick return. Right. So, you know, I got to go. So, you know, Ocho, I got to run back.
55:10I'm real bad.
55:14Hey.
55:16Shannon Sharpe:Hey. They called 12 personnel. I ain't going to be able to go in there. What happened? I couldn't catch my breath, Ocho. I had to go. Ocho, I had to go get on oxygen. What the hell they gave you? I think they gave me Fin Fin.
55:41Shannon Sharpe:Ocho. I swear, I swear, my heart beat, my heart had to be racing about 200, about 205, 210 beats a minute. A minute. Ocho, I thought I was going to have a heart attack, man. Because I'm already, because I'm already, I already get punked. Yeah. And I like to die. Because I, because, because Ocho, I had, I really, this is why I stopped listening, but I had to listen to something like slow music. I needed something to slow me down. So I needed a Maxwell. I needed a Michelle Indigo cello. I needed a shot day. I needed something to slow me down. Ocho, I would literally run one play and have to come out the game and get on oxygen.
56:27Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, I'll be so hyped. I'll be so excited. Man, Ocho. I mean, I run down there because the kickoff back then, see, it's not like it is now. Ocho, they let you get as far as you want to. I line up at 15 yards. Right. And Treadwell was our first kicker. He would look to the left. Good. Look to the right. I was on the left hand side. He look, I'm good. But I'm way back to Ocho. Man, when that joker, hey, when that joker drop his hand, Ocho. You gone. When he kicked the ball, Ocho, I'm in a full spirit. By the time the guy set to turn around. You probably gone by him. I pushed him in his chest. He done.
57:09Shannon Sharpe:He gone. Hey, and you run it. So, you know, I was a three. So I'm right there. I'm right down. I'm right down the numbers. I'm the three. I'm knifing it. Go away from if you want to. Right. I'm knifing. Right away. But I'm going straight to the oxygen team. Just so you know, just so you know. that's funny if you notice Ocho I wasn't one of those guys that like when my teammates scored Ocho if I wasn't in the end zone I'd get you on the sideline I'm out of gas Ocho I ain't got nothing for you I need to be in the end zone when you score or close by other than that I'm blown yeah I catch him on the sideline Ocho we're back with our newest segment player fade presented by prize fix how it works the night calf staff has made lineups for the picks either you play the lineup or make some changes choosing more or less i'm gonna get this right promo square jalen hurts more than 0.5 passing yards that's easy man i got that daniel jones who they play
58:22Shannon Sharpe:more than 1.5 touchdown passes who they playing the rams in in in la
58:33i i don't think they're gonna lose
58:41Shannon Sharpe:They're playing in LA. That don't mean nothing. Daniel Jones look like a whole different quarterback. I'm going under. Less. Micah Parsons, more than.75 sacks in his return. More. He gonna get at least one. Two. All he need is one. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, man, where these little motherfuckers coming from? man and you're talking about come visit you you got ants man i wish i might you don't got no ant no i ain't got no ants 80 80 a.m i'd be sugar i i had ants because somebody thought this was a dinner table who because what no because you eat because you eat it i'm like well damn i got i got I got a bar, they got four chairs.
59:38Shannon Sharpe:I got a breakfast thing, they got five chairs. And I got another seating area that holds 12 people. You're like, you're eating here. And then throw the stuff in the trash. And left it there? And you know, what you call the energy drink queen over here. That's all she do. And throw everything in the trash. You heard me, huh? Huh? It's them little sugar ants. Okay, the ants. and how they you know what I always be confused about like ain't nothing here how the hell they get in the house easy they got a key nah I'm for real I'm just I'm just curious Ocho you see how small lands are you better see me they're an elephant they just walk right up under the door did y 'all have rain it had it rain in Miami me all day today man what would you want to get out of the rain all right that's how it works ocho okay i got you i ain't really had no problem with with ants or in infestation before so it's kind of new to me how it works ocho animals want to get out the rain so guess what they're gonna to go someplace where it's dry.
1:01:03Shannon Sharpe:Ocho A. I heard Ocho place is nice and dry. Okay, let's meet over there. Yeah. Ta-da. I know how to kill them, though. They got a little thing at Walmart. It's like a little circle, and they go to it, and they all die. I'm going to go get that in the morning.
1:01:24Shannon Sharpe:So that's what you're thinking, huh? Yeah. Combat. It's called Combat. I don't know what it's called. But I know if you don't get somebody to come out there, they're going to be back. Yeah, I'm mad because I drunk them by accident. You okay, Ochoa? They ain't going to kill you. Like I said, you don't hate worse stuff. Not really. I mean, what? Really? You know? I'm on conversation probation until 26. And my parole officer is watching the show. Oh, Lord.
1:02:29Shannon Sharpe:come back the U.S. team in danger of losing the Ryder Club for the 11th time in the past 15 matches to the Europeans on American soil for the first time since 2012. Man, look here. I follow golf a little bit. Some of these guys, Ocho, I heard of it, and they kicking the mess out of guys that I know. Right. But you know what? We shouldn't be surprised. Tiger Woods, many believe, is the greatest golfer. He was terrible at Ryder Cup. Phil Mickelson was terribly Ryder Cup yeah and it's a lot of the guys that's that you don't think of I don't know maybe the Europeans maybe they just get up for it maybe that's maybe that's everything to them but all I know is they put foot to Americans you know what when it comes to this yeah the right the Ryder Cup yes man yeah I'm not you know I'm not much of a golf golfer let alone a golf fan in general.
1:03:29But I'm assuming they've been dominating us for a very long time.
1:03:35Shannon Sharpe:Well, if they win this one, Ocho, they beating us 5-4. That means they up five holes with four holes to play. There's nothing you can do. Right. They're beating us 6-5. They're beating us 4-3. Come on, man. Damn. It's times like that. It's times like that where they could use my expertise and in my skill. Man, this is ridiculous, man. I mean,
1:04:08Shannon Sharpe:I can't remember big time last time Big John Rahm won something and he out there putting foot in everybody. Scotty Sheffler is the best golfer in the world by far. Yeah, Scotty, that's my dog. Well, you need to call your dog and tell him he need to do something. That's my dog. Because everybody putting foot in us. I mean, it's the Ryder Cup. I don't give a damn what it's called. We kind of dominate every other thing, especially individually. Well, I tell you what. They're going to need to win probably about 15 of these matches. What's the likelihood? Man, we down 11 to 4.5? Yeah. 11.5 to 4.5. Really?
1:04:54Shannon Sharpe:Man, this thing.
1:05:02Shannon Sharpe:Do something. Fight. At least pinch him. Man, this is ridiculous. Man, look here, Ocho. This thing ain't even close. My sister in here watching. I said, why you watching it? Man, nothing fall for us.
1:05:22Shannon Sharpe:I mean, she all in it. She all in it. Oh, man. That's funny. Yeah, she all did it. Obviously, my brother, he had surgery yesterday, so he listening to it, but he can't watch it. How you feeling? He good? Yeah. Yeah. He has to spend – basically, he's spending probably about 16 of his hours face down. Woo-hoo. 16? Yeah. yeah oh he get no yeah gotta be in that face cradle right like like the massage table basically yep yeah yep damn yeah it's tough
1:06:10Shannon Sharpe:uh now it's time for our final segment of the evening it's time for q and a hold on let me He throw this can out. Well, hell, you done drunk most of them. Now you might as well finish them off. He ain't talking about, he ain't talking about maybe throw the can away. He done drunk a whole can full of, yeah. Bring them back, Ocho. I mean, them cousins and friends that you throwing in the trash. The rest of them want to join the rest of their family in your belly. Nah. I only swallowed like three, y 'all. That's three more than you should have. Aaron Jones said the Ryder Cup is embarrassing. Whoever coaches the team needs to be gone.
1:06:59Shannon Sharpe:We have the best in the world. We don't. I think Keegan Bradley is the captain. Isn't Keegan Bradley the captain? I'm almost certain it is. Look, you got – I think the thing is, Ocho, is that you have to understand. I heard a guy talking the other day. Keegan Bradley is the captain. And then, you know, what he was saying is that according to the course, the Europeans, they pick guys. Let's just say it's a dog leg this way. They pick guys that can play the dog legs well. The first hole is kind of set up like the last hole and boom, boom, boom. and there's a 60 % chance if you win the first hole, you're probably going to win the matchup, so forth and so on.
1:07:47Shannon Sharpe:So they get guys accordingly. They're just not necessarily taking the best player. We're taking the best players that might not fit the golf course. Oh, so, I mean, listen, it's golf. It's golf. You have golfers that play better on certain courses? Yes. I mean, if it's that easy and that strategic, then we should be able to do the same thing. Well, we're not. so we're not. That's nice. That's nice. If there's a course that you need to draw, you need to fade, you get stingers, it all depends. Right. And it seems like they push all the right effing buttons every effing time. Mm-hmm. I mean, if I was a golf, you know, if I was a, ooh, if I was really a golf fanatic, if we get in the door, blow it out, like, man, please.
1:08:40Shannon Sharpe:Ugh. Talkin' Mayhem podcast said Deion Sanders need to actually recruit, LOL. Sit in these players' homes and recruit. Overhauling your team every year via portal doesn't work, bud. Maybe, maybe.
1:08:59Maybe. It's gonna be hard for you to recruit. I mean, I look at it like this.
1:09:08Shannon Sharpe:If Coach Saban, Coach Bryant, joe paternal barry switzer dr tom osborne if they went to players houses right i understand your time hold on you don't you don't think time with the players houses uh that's it's my understanding he doesn't i guess he beat him when they when the on the official when they visit right um see if we get confirmation of that ash I see Prime as a coach that would want to meet the parents face-to-face, though. Well, we're about to find out. Look, obviously he can't travel. You know, look, he really has some limitations now dealing with that bladder issue. He had the surgery.
1:10:01Shannon Sharpe:How soon could he fly after the surgery? You know, he does not do in-home visits.
1:10:12Oh, shit. Okay, that's different.
1:10:15Shannon Sharpe:And coaches are going to look at, players are going to look at that like, oh, you too good to come to us. Because as I said, Ocho, let me ask you a question. Let's just say for the sake of argument, you wanted your girlfriend to meet your family. And she said, nah, I don't meet family. Tell me what you're thinking. Why? matter of fact i just i i don't do that that's not what i do you know what matter of fact if if you don't want to be my family and you don't do that they're saying you ain't really the one for me okay i'm gonna make it easy okay yeah hey could you imagine praying walking in walking to your house yes i could the same thing i imagine if coach saban walked into my home if barry switzer a Dr.
1:11:07Shannon Sharpe:Tom Osborne. Absolutely. Or Coach Bear Bryant walks into my living room, walks into my grandmother's house. Dean Smith walks into my grandmother's house. John Wooden, Coach Wooden, walks into my grandmother's house. Absolutely, I know what that means. Hey, hold on. Can you imagine? You know what's going to happen, right? You know that's going to be a whole fiasco. Boy, y 'all boy won't believe who coming to the house and sit down with me and moms and pops with a man. And the whole family done show up. Whole neighborhood. Whole neighborhood outside waiting. Yep. Yes. I can imagine. Yes. That lets me know they really won't.
1:11:52Shannon Sharpe:Look here, Ocho. If Coach Saban show up, what's that telling you? If Coach Wooden, Coach Dean Smith, if they show up to you. Come on, Ocho. A lot of these. Now, everybody ain't going to be middle class. But everybody ain't got no screen door that's hanging off. and everybody don't live in the projects. But for Coach Saban or one of these big-time coaches to come sit their ass on my – I got duct tape, electric tape. We got phone books and Sears and Roebuck books and JCPenney books that's holding up the coffee table. For him to come sit down, man, please.
1:12:33Shannon Sharpe:That would be a huge honor. an unbelievable honor. But you know what? It's so funny these days. You ain't got to do that. You just open up your checkbook. They still coming. Yeah. Them parents want to see you. How are you going to treat me? How are you going to make my son a better player? How are you going to make my son a better man? And how are you going to get him to the NFL? Because I want to hear you tell me that in my home. Right.
1:13:08yeah it's just it's just too many too many too many discrepancies and then I don't know it's different
1:13:20Shannon Sharpe:I'm just saying Ocho yeah I know I know what you mean we do have to understand this is prime we're talking about you know yeah homes and you need security this ain't nobody this ain't just no anybody Ocho he embarked he embarked into a job that this is what's required see i can't also i can't say man i don't really like blood if i'm a veterinarian man i don't like blood but i'm gonna be a doctor doctor right right right right you're a coach now yeah you're prime and i understand you're coach prime but there are certain aspects that comes along with coaching yeah that's above the individual. Yeah.
1:14:04I know.
1:14:06Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Listen, like I said, all I'm saying is this. I know two coaches and I know Ozzie Newsome who was my former boss, general manager. Bear Bryant came and sat down in his house. Coach Bryant run six national championships. Those top players coach Saban won seven national championships.
1:14:30Shannon Sharpe:he came into people's grandmothers' home, moms' homes, uncles, aunts. Yeah. Sat on the couch, sat at a dinner table, sat across and told them what he was going to do for their sons, their grandsons, their nephews. That goes a long way. That means something. Because I want a man to look... Ocho, you know how we think. Oh, you think you too good to come to my house, huh? oh that was oh okay
1:15:07Shannon Sharpe:that's funny Jacor said what up what's with Deion Sanders time to have a conversation about him or is it Pat the former trash Bengals coordinator sorry you know what Bengals look the first couple of drives I thought like man see you look the man the bus look really good yeah really good. Man, damn. The defense, man, can't stop anybody. And then on third down, it's a struggle to get third and one, third and four. I was just like, oh.
1:15:46Hmm.
1:15:49Shannon Sharpe:I don't know.
1:15:54Shannon Sharpe:Maybe they need an offensive coordinator with more imagination.
1:16:02I don't know, Ocho. Hey, young, imagination, no imagination. Would you need to execute the players on the field? Jim's and Joe's. There you go. And that's no disrespect to them young bulls out there.
1:16:21Shannon Sharpe:You're right. You got to have the players. But how do you get said players to go to Colorado? Hmm.
1:16:33money talks in this day and age. Everybody has a price. Everybody. Okay.
1:16:44Shannon Sharpe:Shakur said they need Turkey and Jesus in Boulder. I guess they need your Royal Highness. Hey, he was talking trash. SMB. I think that's his name, Ben Salmon, your royal highness, your majesty, the name that he goes by. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, if you had that kind of money, you definitely probably could get some players. Listen, if you had that kind of money, Colorado would be undefeated because they'd have every player they want, offense and defense. Yeah. Yeah, you definitely. Absolutely. Jolie said, more importantly, Georgia Tech won with former TMU, Texas A &M, I guess. Hayes King and Georgia lost.
1:17:35Shannon Sharpe:So it's a great day. Yes, Georgia stopped a two-point conversion at Wake Forest in order to win the game. They were behind pretty much the whole day. Came back and found a way to win. So, yep, if you're a Tech fan.
1:17:51Shannon Sharpe:I'm trying to figure out, that's another team that got two names. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket and the Ramblin' Rick. How do you get two names in college football? Auburn Tigers and a War Eagle. The Ramblin' Wreck, the Yellow Jackets. That's a good question that I don't know the answer to. Christian Fields said, glad y 'all lost money picking against Bama, fools. Who lost money? You bet with Bama? I don't bet. Oh.
1:18:29I mean, had I, I probably would have lost.
1:18:32Shannon Sharpe:I probably would have gave up, I would have gave up those two and a half. Yeah. Cause it wasn't like a whole bunch. And then, you know,
1:18:44Shannon Sharpe:I mean, we saw Georgia on the neutral. We saw Georgia, Florida state. And then, yeah, they blew the doors. They blew the doors off somebody 73, 77 or nothing. And then they beat Wisconsin at home. and I think they had a bye week and then they come, you know, beat Georgia. So I probably had I had I bet, which I don't, I probably would have lost Ochoa. I ain't going to even lie. Kemper Dorewood Jr. said, Oh, I'm ready for nightcap bowl on Monday. Oh, yeah. I'm ready to. It's going down, Kemper. It's going down. Make sure you have some tissue with you, Ochoa. All right. See how you talking? You talking really?
1:19:24Booting. Who they think they're going to beat them Bengals? Yeah, you know.
1:19:30Shannon Sharpe:When they going to win a game? Let me tell you. Let me tell you what. Never. Let me tell you what goddamn Uno going to do to Patrick Sertain Jr. What are you going to do? Let me tell you what Uno going to do to, man, take him to the cleaners. Okay. Take him to the cleaners. And Sertain better hope. He better hope he ain't got to deal with goddamn T. Higgins. I just hope you better hope he can get it off Benito coming Benito man we ain't worried about Jip he be coming off he be flying off the edge he go Mim's gonna lock him up Orlando Brown gonna lock him up Mim's go oh man watch Benito just dip up on him I think I thought Benito probably had like two probably two, two and a half.
1:20:23Two and a half what? Sacks. You don't even believe that.
1:20:29Shannon Sharpe:Two and a half. Ain't happy. Leader Man, will Jamar Chase have over under 13 touchdowns this season? How many he got right now? He got one right now, right, Ocho? How many touchdowns has Chase got? That's a good question. I'm not sure. Week four? I'm not sure. he got one he had 17 last year but he had a couple of games where he had like three, two, I mean all it takes you to look it take one game to catch fire yeah and touchdowns like sacks, they come in bunches you go and stretch Ochoa you have four or five games and you have a touchdown every game and then one game you'll be thrown in there, you'll have two and next thing you know you look up like damn I ain't have no touchdowns nah I got six Yeah, that's how it happened too.
1:21:22Shannon Sharpe:That's exactly how it happens. David Washington said, I'm a lifelong football super fan with deep insights. Subscribed and ready to prove my takes. If I'm 90 % right, give me a shot on your podcast team. I mean, what do you do, David? I mean, it's not like we don't have like a fantasy or a pickup segment, the little segment that we pick for a prize pick.
1:21:54uh kevo kevar kevo green bay on upset alert let you tell it
1:22:05Shannon Sharpe:who the lions play tomorrow the lions he said he said uh uh packers on cow packers play the cowboys yeah i know yeah yeah yeah hey they man man please Lions play the Browns now watch how they struggle against the defense watch everybody in the chat remember this tomorrow now the Lions might win the game but watch how the Lions struggle what do you mean might win the game okay
1:22:41Adam joke is good man god damn if they had If they had any kind of offense.
1:22:50Shannon Sharpe:Oh, yeah. Man, I'm still getting over. UC Alabama threw that ball to the tackle. Tackle. Yeah, ready to screen to the tackle. And then he dove, tried to dive for the pylon, Ocho. He tried to score. Boy, he. Three, four, he trucked the dude. Ran him right over. He did. He did.
