In short
The episode is a sports-and-life “nightcap” covering the Celtics vs. 76ers playoff Game 1 blowout, plus a reconciliation story about Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan, and then segues into betting picks (“play or fade”), jokes, and Q&A.
Topic
Celtics dominate 76ers in Round 1 Game 1; what Philly must change; whether Embiid returning helps.
Guest backgrounds
No podcast guests are present in the transcript; it’s hosted by Zach (and co-hosts “Ocho” and “Joe/Unc”).
Key claims
- Celtics won 123-91; Philly was “minus 36” from three-point differential (Philly 4-for-23, 17%).
- Jason Tatum: 25 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists; Jalen Brown: 26; multiple Celtics in double figures; Celtics played disciplined, efficient basketball.
- Philly’s path: better defense (physicality), fewer turnovers, limit transition, and improve shooting/efficiency; Embiid returning may “stop the ball” and could still not change the series outcome.
Notable examples
- Celtics never trailed and built a 35-point lead; coach Joe Mazzulla used 12 players.
- Barkley and Jordan reportedly reconciled after a 2012 falling out; Barkley said they’ll play golf soon after discussing in the last 72 hours.

Jason Tatum had a strong return to the playoff for the Celtics in a row of the Sixers, 123-91. Tatum had 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists in his first playoff game since rupturing his Achilles last season. Tatum scored 21 points in the first half, just playing his 17th game following surgery last May to repair an Achilles tendon tear. JB had 26. Queda had 13. Bless you. I just don't know. I just don't know how. I don't know how.
4:06Chad Johnson:What do you don't know? Tyrese Max is going to need to score 40 a night. Edgecombe is going to need to give you 25. Paul George is going to need to give you 25. That's the only chance they got. Chance to do what? To beat the Celtics. Celtics got too much firepower.
4:20Joe Johnson:Hold on. When you say beat the Celtics, you mean like beat them in one game, maybe two games? Yeah. Not in Syria. Even to make it competitive. Oh, yeah. Hell damn winning a game. Make it competitive. This wasn't competitive. Yeah, it's embarrassing. But this is what you expect. This is what you expect from a Boston Celtics team in round one, in game one. This is what you're expecting to look. Even with Embiid, if Embiid was playing, obviously offensively things change for Maxie. Forgot that Maxie and, is it, not O 'Brie, who's the other one? Brother Paul George. Everything changes because spacing changes because Embiid takes up a lot more of the paint.
5:00Joe Johnson:And he ain't really moving like that. So even B was playing, they still losing like this.
5:06Chad Johnson:Well, the Sixers got to be more efficient from the field. Maxie, Edgecombe. I know we asked a lot of Edgecombe being a rookie. But the production they're going to have to get from them two guys, it's going to have to be top tier.
5:22Joe Johnson:Yes, sir.
5:23Chad Johnson:You know, because from your power forward and center spot, honestly, really from your center spot, you ain't going to get many points, man. You know, you're going to be guard heavy. And I said, I like, you know, when MB's not playing because they play at a pace, getting up and down, the game seems a lot more fun for them. But this Boston team, they too disciplined, Ojo. They not going to beat themselves. They got too many elite guys, not just guys. They got too many guys that's elite and knowing their roles and starring in their roles. They've been there, bro. They've won a title. They know what it's like.
5:57Chad Johnson:Right. You know, they looking to get back to the finals.
6:04Chad Johnson:So, Philly got to be better, bro. They got to be better. I know it's just the first game of the series, but they didn't show me nothing that they could compete, bro. I'm talking about, hey, look, I ain't going to even lie to y 'all. After about the first quarter, they were down by like 20. You turned it off? Yeah, that took me a nap. I got to get that nap in. I had to get that.
6:28Chad Johnson:hey hey listen Ocho I'm like damn they ain't even competing hell they already down 20, 25, 30 points what are we going to be talking about come on man no no they're not and you're not going to beat the Celtics if you minus 36 from the 3 point line no you can't bro I feel like Philly got weapons and obviously this being at the biggest stage, bro, they got to shine. They got to shine, especially on the road. I mean, if you want to even contend with this Celtics team, who is probably arguably the best team in the Eastern Conference right now. Yes. You know, bro, you got to be locked in. You can't come out and be down 15 after the first quarter.
7:10Chad Johnson:They just ain't going to get it. No. Rebecca, look what I said. Hey, Philly was playing. Hold on. Let me find my tweet. Because I was like, the Suns game, we got out of hand too. I mean, I was just wondering if these games were going to be competitive. I mean, really, I mean, look, Detroit, obviously Detroit game was competitive and then the Detroit Orlando game. And for a little while, I thought Portland hung it with them. But I was watching the Suns and I'm watching the Sixers. I was like, man, I'm finna go tweezing my lawn. What the hell? What is this?
7:56Joe Johnson:Hey, it's gonna be hell to compete with them goddamn Celtics, Uncle Joe. Goddamn Tatum had 25. Jalen Brown had 26. Pritchett came off the bench and gave you 12. Howzer had 12. Quetta had goddamn 13. Derrick White had 10. Six guys and double figures. Come on now.
8:17Chad Johnson:And it's the efficiency that they play with, bro. Yep. Like, your two big guns shooting over 50%, hell, and they both got over 25 points. Man, you going to be in trouble. You know what I mean? And the other guys around them, Howes, I thought, played great. Got off to a great start. Hell, he had about two 3-3s in the first quarter. Yeah. You know, once you get guys like that going, then your stars can kind of get going because now the floor opens up. You know, when the other guys start to make shots, now Brown can work. Now Tatum can work because the help defense is going to be pretty limited. Now they can play isolation basketball, and that's what they're best at.
8:51Well, they better be glad J.B. got in foul trouble early. He was in foul trouble. I think he picked up two fouls in the first quarter, and he had to sit down for a little while. That game would have been over at the half.
9:00Chad Johnson:Yeah, they ain't doing nothing to piss him out, because when he came back, he was ready. He went to work on that. He was surgical with it. He definitely did a nub on them. Yeah. Like I said, I just don't think – Like I said, if they need Charles Barkley, Allen Iverson. I'm just saying some of the players that they need in order to make this change. Maybe they get a 25-year-old Will Chamberlain and Dr. J. Yeah.
9:30Joe Johnson:They have a chance. Yeah. Yeah. With this right here, they not winning.
9:36Chad Johnson:Well, they got to defend better anyway. I mean, you can't give up 123 points. I know Boston has been resting, and they look like they were rested. They look like the much faster team tonight, or today rather, but Philly got to be better, bro. They got to be a little more relentless on defense. You know, them guys getting to their spots too easy for me. When I watch the game, I'm looking at the resistance that you're putting up on Tatum and Brown, you know, whether they setting the pick or whether they in the pick and roll. Are you being physical? Are you just letting them get to their spots? Because the great ones, you let them get to their spots.
10:12Chad Johnson:You at their mercy. Yeah. They did that all night. And they better take care of the basketball, too. I mean, look at you. The Celtics had 31 assists, Joe. The ball hopping. Yeah. The ball hopping. 31 assists. They shot 50 % from the line. Yeah. 16 for 44 from the three. I mean, and look at what Philly shot from the three. Four for 23, 17%. So you minus 36. That's damn near the margin in which you lost by. You got to pick up your intensity, bro. It's so hard on the road, especially when you're playing against a top-tier team. The mistakes that you can make on the road, you cannot make mistakes, bro.
11:01Chad Johnson:You have to limit your mistakes, take great shots, and keep these dudes out of transition because you've let them get them transitioned. that's when they started to bust the game open.
11:13Joe Johnson:It's easier said than done, Joe. I know, Joe, but hell, right now, Philly,
11:19Chad Johnson:they just got to continue to compete, bro. I mean, like, you know, bring a little more physicality to the game. That's what it's going to take. You know, you letting these guys just run freely, cut through the paint without getting chugged or bumped, like, man, hey, this playoff basketball, bro. I know people don't look at basketball as being physical, but it's a physical game. Like, the top teams, they are very physical. It's physical, yeah.
11:45Look, I'm just hoping they can make it competitive. I don't see Philly winning the game.
11:51Joe Johnson:So, a gentleman sweep, huh? I don't know.
11:55Chad Johnson:Y 'all don't think Embiid going to come back? Let's say he come back game three.
11:59Joe Johnson:What's that going to change, Joe? And that's no disrespect to Philly. That's no disrespect to Embiid.
12:03Chad Johnson:What is that going to change? He'll give them a joke. I think, yeah, I think he can give them at least 20-plus points, Ocho. But the thing is, the only thing that concern me is when Embiid comes back, the ball just stops. And, you know, I know these other guys didn't do a whole lot, but I like the contribution that Paul George gave us. I mean, four for eight, he could have been, you know, probably a little more aggressive. But when Embiid comes back, he's a ball stopper. You just got to hope he plays great. and then Boston, hell, they probably hoping Embiid come back and they're going to pick and roll his ass to death.
12:37Chad Johnson:Yeah, they're going to keep him in the pick and roll because we know you ain't really trying to be out here moving like this, so we're going to keep you in this pick and roll and you're going to have to save your energy for the offense or for the defense. You pick. Right. Yeah. Yeah, but I just, like I said, I mean, they shot, they were 39 % from the floor. Both teams got up 90 shots. One team shot 50%, the other team shot 39%. minus Philly was minus 36 from the three-point line, you're not winning. You're going to have to match Boston. I mean, it's going to be hard for you to beat them when they're making somewhere between 15 and 23 and you're making less than 10.
13:21Because they're going to get threes up. He's basically telling them they're trying to shoot 50 plus threes a night.
13:28Chad Johnson:They're going to get them up. Yeah. And they deep. So you're going to have to knock down your shots, and you can't make enough twos because if they make 23, you can't make enough twos to compete. And you're going to have to keep them turnovers down too because they feel. Yes. Yeah. Think about how many runouts they got, how many dunks. Every time you see Jason Tatum dunking the ball. I mean, hell, he went down the lane one time. I was like, y 'all don't want to close that off? Okay. Go ahead and do your thing, JT. Hey, they're down. A couple of plays later, here come JB down the line. Yeah. But you know what?
14:05Chad Johnson:You know, because the start of the game, when you get them other guys off, Hauser and White, once they get off early, Ojo, that flow opened up quick because now they men reluctant to help. He like, hell, I ain't helping no more. You know, I already hit me a couple times inside my head. Yeah, but that's my man getting the stat sheet. Y 'all looking at me like I'm crazy. Yeah. So you know how they go. So that's why we say for the top guys, especially scores, you got to have these others, dawg, to come along with you for the ride and open up the floor so you can operate and play at your highest level.
14:40Chad Johnson:And Boston has that to the T. They ain't missing nothing. Boston never trailed in a game building a 35-point lead. Joe Mazzula gave minutes to 12 players. He was 12 players. I mean, if I'm one of the players that didn't get it, I'm like, Coach, what's up? I mean, how big a lead do we need to get before I can get the player time? Joe, we up 35 now. We need to get a 50-point lead. Right. Everybody gets some clock tonight. Yeah. I'm like, Coach, I mean, I'm looking at it like, damn. I mean, if you were the football, Ocho, and we went about 28 points to Harry Dill, like six minutes left in the ball game.
15:23Yeah. Damn. My uniform's still clean. I'm looking like, damn.
15:27Chad Johnson:Let me get ready. Let me put these legs up.
15:30Joe Johnson:Put your boy in there. Yeah. So I just want to get my uniform dirty. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Let me get my uniform dirty. I ain't really got to do too much. I just want to be able to see I got in the game. That's it. That's it. Or when you smaller, you don't, hey, them guys put grass on their pants. Act like they did something. Make it feel like
15:47Chad Johnson:they got the game, Joe. Hey. Hey, I remember them days as a Yeltsin. Boy, listen, you know it was a blowout game? You sitting down there and you ain't played all game? You're like, damn, let me get warmed up. I know he been throwing me in this moment. Hey, hey, I stand up, make sure he see me. Hey, Cole, you about to forgot I was over here because I ain't playing in a long time. Yeah. I was what the fortune was. I didn't spend a whole lot of time with a bench. But damn, you play 12 guys, you only got 15, and I couldn't get no player time. Man, listen, I ain't going to lie to you. When I was in junior high school, when I was a seventh grader playing ninth grade basketball, Uncle Ocho, he put me on varsity for the first time.

16:36Chad Johnson:I'm down at the end of the bench. I'm talking about I didn't get, we was up 20. I already knew I was going to go in. I said, oh, shit. Look, my first varsity game ever. Boy, I was so nervous. I got in there, turned that ball over left and right. Coach, give me a son. Yeah, yeah. I'm like, Coach, hey, I wasn't ready for that one. That wasn't. Hey, they put me in, hey, Joe, I'm scoring. I ain't passing nothing. I'm scoring. That's it? Yeah. Hey, I dropped 21 in the fourth quarter. Did you really? Yeah. You said you wasn't playing. You were getting to it. Yeah. Hey, they dumb enough to keep throwing me the ball.
17:15I ain't throwing it. You like to say, be the ball stopper? Yeah. Give it to me if you want to. Because I used to play, I played JV and I played varsity. So I might score 35, 40 in the JV and then come back and come up to varsity and hit 22, Joe.
17:34Chad Johnson:Hey, but that's what I ain't like. See, I played at, where I played at, it was like, he wouldn't let me play junior varsity because I don't know if he felt I was too good for junior varsity, but that's why all my homeboys play. My best friends are on junior varsity. This is our first year in junior high school. Man, I want to play with them. We can dominate junior varsity. He's like, no, son, I'm going to put you on varsity. I'm like, I barely get clocked. You know what I mean? You throw me in there, two minutes left on the clock. We up to winning. Come on, man. Yeah, it didn't go like that for me.
18:09Hey, that's what I had. I got my time. You know, I work on my game in the JV. nobody tired was going to come. Hey, but they put me in the game. Coach put me in the game. I'm going to give you a cool 15.
18:23Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah. I don't care how many minutes. 10, 12 minutes. I'm getting double figures, Joe.
18:29Joe Johnson:Yeah, I got to see the footage. Every time, I'm getting double figures. I got to see the footage.
18:34Chad Johnson:I played in like two junior varsity games, bro. He said, no more. I'm putting you on varsity. Well, damn. Joe, I'm the third league scorer, and I ain't playing about 13, 14 years.
18:49Chad Johnson:Hey, but you know what, though? I'm going to tell you something. Especially in junior high school, them guys who come from football to basketball, I don't know if it's because of the maturity that y 'all got from lifting weights and all that. The game is easy for y 'all. Come and tell you. Yeah, for sure. I don't know if y 'all ever heard of this guy named Cedric Cobbs, but he went to Arkansas. He played, he got drafted. You know, me and him, the same class. We went to junior high school together. He was out of center. He was out of center. And 6 '1", 6 '2", Ocho. This man was the center. I'm talking about, but he jumping out the gym.
19:21Chad Johnson:He jumping out the gym. He jumped ball, catching lobs. Like, you know, he was a bad boy. And then we both went off to the University of Arkansas. He dominated there and went off to the NFL. But I do think you guys who play football, y 'all come in with like a different type of confidence. We have a different mentality. We do. Yeah. I agree. Y 'all do. Y 'all do. Especially early. Early in your careers. and G-Hydon football player be dominant. Joe Ocho, we got a heartwarming story. Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan have apparently reconciled after 14 years of falling after falling out. Chuck said, we had a discussion.
19:57We're going to get together to play some golf soon. His basketball season is over. He was like, we're not Prince William and Prince Harry. There's always been a lot of affection between us. But yeah, we talked, actually talked the last 72 hours, and we decided to get together and play golf as soon as the season's over. The silent treatment started back in 2012 when Charles Barkley, in an interview with the Chicago Radio, was critical of Jordan's performance as an owner of then the Charlotte Bobcats, implying that the Bulls' great hadn't hired enough people who had courage to disagree with his decisions on how to handle the franchise.
20:35Chad Johnson:hey look I'm glad them dudes you know figuring it out okay Ocho yes you know what I mean I hate for us to get you know older and still you know whole grudges of bickering with each other man they both better than that considering that they were great friends but great friends I think gamble together play golf together all that joke yes they were great friends and MJ know he know how Charles Barkley is he ain't gonna hold this tongue man That man just being honest. We just keeping it 100. You know what I mean? I know Jordan probably obviously took offense to that. But, I mean, hey, you know Barkley, bro.
21:13Chad Johnson:He going to speak his truth now.
21:16Joe Johnson:And Jordan going to hold a grudge.
21:18Chad Johnson:Yeah. And you know, hey, Joe, they won again today. His driver won again. Did he really? Yeah. Five of the first nine races. Hell, ever since Jordan won that lawsuit, they ain't been on the up and up before. You see that? You see that? Yeah. See how God worked? He said he just wanted to be fair, Uncle Ocho. Just be fair. He don't want no advantage. Just be fair.
21:40Joe Johnson:One thing about it, Joe. One thing about it, Joe. God don't bless no mess, huh? You're right.
21:46Chad Johnson:That boy been winning. He been winning all 2026. It's okay. It's okay for somebody to disagree. I mean, the mere fact that somebody disagreed with something. Because you got to think about that, Michael Jordan. Who going to have the courage to say something that you're doing is wrong? who have the courage to tell Michael Jordan Mike you know A yeah Charles Barkley exactly he got it 14 years of exile yeah but it takes a special type of person to tell someone of that caliber even for a family member to tell you that you're wrong when you're footing all the bill that's why homeboys a lot of times homeboys get in trouble because I'm not going to have you stop this Sprinter brand and have me get off.
22:35We go in the club getting bottle service. Are we getting at the Honeys? Yeah. We go on vacation. We go to Jamaica and Cancun. You footing that whole bill, and you think I'm going to tell you you wrong? So you're going to get mad at me, and I can't go no more? Nah, bro. You right. That's just the way it is. I was very fortunate. I've always had a smile. I never traveled with a whole bunch of people. So even when I was in high school, college, I had one or two friends, and I'm cool with that. But you got to have somebody to tell you, hey, tell you what you need to know, not what you want to hear.
23:08Because we all want to hear how great we are and what we're doing is right. And sometimes it's hard. It's hard. I'll tell you what I always say. There's my sister and I'll get mad with her and I fall out and sometimes I won't call her for a couple of days. But she be dead ass. You need to. She'll send me a text with a scripture. I don't want no scripture.
23:33I'm supposed to be very religious now. And so, man, I ain't trying to hear no scripture. But she probably keep you grounded and keep you here. Absolutely, Joe. Absolutely. Absolutely. You got to have that. You got to have that, bro.
23:48Joe Johnson:You do. I'm trying to think. Joe, who you got in your corner, Joe? That'll get on you, man, regardless of how you feel about it. that you'll take that criticism from them with understanding that they mean well?
24:06Chad Johnson:Man, I probably would say probably my uncles. I got four uncles. Yeah. You know, my mom was the only girl. So, you know, I had male figures in my life. You know, I talk about how my dad wasn't there, but I got male figures, whether it was my uncles, whether it was Mr. Greenwood, Mr. Vaught, meaning these are my best friends' parents. They come from two-parent households. Right, right. I know what it's like to be a man, and I've gotten those talks and all that. So those are people who I'm very appreciative of for sure. Right. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. You got to have me in your corner. Yeah. You do. And I try to be that voice of reason for my friends.
24:48And they look at me a little different. But I've always been that way. I've always been the guy, whether I was in high school, whether I was in college or in NFL, guys always, like, came to me. Hey, Sharp, what you think about this? When guys got in trouble, guys would fight on the team. Joe Ocho. Yeah. Coach, bring them to my room. They knock on the door, boom, boom, boom, boom. Yeah. I'm like, yeah, I come to the door. Because, first of all, you bamming on the door like you're the damn police. Yeah. So I'm coming to the door with a frown. I'm like, yeah, what's up? They come in there. You the mediator, huh?
25:18Yeah. They ask me what I think. What do I think we should? What do I think should the punishment be?
25:25Chad Johnson:Yeah. I'm a player just like they are what the hell yeah I'm like make them run coach
25:39but I've always and a lot of times you know you try to keep look it's inevitable I don't care and Joe I don't know how I was on the basketball team but Ocho you know when you got that many guys and you got that many testosterone and you're around ladies somebody get the bagging on somebody, somebody mess with somebody, girl, it's going to be a fight. It's just that simple. Ain't no way, I don't care, you can win national championship and everybody getting yards, catching touchdown passes, attacking the quarterbacks. Anytime there's testosterone and there's women and you got guys joining, talking about what you got, what you don't got, it's going to be a fight.
26:18Now, our job is to try to mitigate it. because you, I don't know how y 'all operate, but most of the people that I went to school with had the stick or the tool. I ain't going to say what Ocho said the other night talking about some strap. I hope he was talking about a stick or a tool or a fire.
26:36Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah, I thought he was talking about a firearm or something like that. Yeah, yeah, that fire. You talking about me? Yeah. Yeah, you. But anyway, and so, you know, hey, because you know, guys, I mean, look here, when emotion is high, logic is low. Oh, yeah. There you go. guys, hey, man, I tell you what, be here. No, no, no, no, no. Come on. Come on back here. We can talk about this here. Hey, hey, hey, hey. Because I already know. That bully don't know me. Hello. That bully does not know me. And so, bro, I know you get mad. I already know how it's going to be. I mean, I got a teammate right now doing life.
27:17Kill the cop. Yeah, but I already knew it. Hold on, the cop? He killed a cop, yeah. Overpowered him and killed him. Damn. Traffic stop? Yeah, he robbed, I think a hotel. Got into a truck, overpowered him. Killed him. 11 to 1. Or he would have gotten the needle. But he stayed in something, Ocho. He stayed. He stayed. And I told him, if I could go interview him, right you remember what I told you my freshman year I said you gonna end up in jail or somebody gonna kill you he was always in the seat Ocho first of all I don't know how it is now but I'm just saying when I was in school we had one co-ed dorm so if it was an all female dorm guys couldn't go on the floor it wasn't co-ed so you couldn't go into a girl's room the girls had to come down to the lobby or the girls had to come to the guys They came to the guys' dorm.
28:18They had to come to the lobby. You couldn't go to their room. If you got caught in a girl, if the opposite sex got caught in the girl's room or guy's room, you got kicked out for a quarter.
28:27Chad Johnson:Right, right. This joker here, he go up there and just spray the fire extinguishers. He tried to talk to a girl. He just stayed in something. He did that in the girls' dorm. In the girls' dorm, yeah. Oh, man. Pulled a gun. He fight. He got into a fight. We were playing basketball, and I just knew it. I just hated playing with him. He's like, man, I just hate, like, damn. He was there when he got there, and he want to pick a team. I knew he was going to pick me, but I already know. If they file him, he's going to be some type of way. He's going to be on the board. Lord and behold, dude filing. Yeah.
29:11And I already know how he is. I said, Lord, have mercy. Now, he a big dude. He about six. I mean, this is 87. Yeah. So he probably 6 '3", 270.
29:24Joe Johnson:Oh, this is a big dude, man. Yeah, he's a D lineman. Oh, I'm thinking you're talking about somebody little. No. He fired. Look, he go in there, turn it. But this story here. So he got filed. Oh, man. Already, I just knew, I just knew, I just knew. I said, Lord, have mercy. So he like filed and he started walking towards the dude. I said, come on, Jay, let that go. But the dude wasn't backing down. Uh-oh. So they started swinging. The one thing you... Copenhagen spit-free pouches are packed full of American-grown tobacco. Made for welders. Stuck behind masks. 34:41Knock a taste out of his mouth. Yes. Old boy said, I got something for you. He said, you know what? I got something for you too. So they both go. They're in the same dorm, just one on the first floor, one on the second floor, and the other on the third floor. Yeah. Man, Sharp. Why is always Sharp? Why you called Sharp? Man, it took all I could to get... Come on, Jay, man. Come on, Jay. This ain't going to end well. I said, man, y 'all going to tell little boy, don't bring his ass out. Don't come back out of the dorm. Just go where he's going. He ended up getting kicked out of school and it was just one thing after another.
35:32Dang. It would be cold. Like we go on a road game, Ocho, and it'd be cold. So coach have us doing up-downs. He's standing on the sideline with his hand in his pockets. So the D-line coach, so Coach Davis asked the D-line coach, say, what the hell, what the hell he doing over there? Yeah. Coach, he said he ain't doing no up-downs.
35:53Chad Johnson:Damn. He said, well, I'm damn, he getting on the bus with us. He fired a damn own way back to the hotel. We left him. Dead ass? Left him. Mm. Hotel about 20 miles away. He caught a ride back. I don't know, he hitchhiking. I don't know how he got back to the hotel, but he got a ride back to the hotel. Was he good? Was he good? Oh, he was good. He could be a hell of a player. He could have been a hell of a player. Right. Strong, but he just would not do right guys he would not and I knew it and I remember when I got the call they said man you ain't gonna never guess what happened he said man I see I remember bucket told me say who you think if I were to tell you somebody got into it with the law and end up killing somebody who you second first name I see him he is right away sure enough he just stayed into it guys I've never seen anything like it and I've been around some menaces but he was he was the absolute worst person he would steal he would just start ish just to fight because he was so much bigger and everybody else like Jason I said I'm gonna be honest with you bro I said he because he was next because uh my uh My high school teammate was my roommate, but his roommate was next door to mine.
37:15He was a roommate with a dude named, we called him Tobe. He was from Alma. I said, Jason, bro, I ain't never had no problem with you. I said, but Jason, I ain't going to lie to you, Jason. If we get into it, if you do something, I'm going to try to kill you. He's like, nah, I ain't got no problem with you. I ain't got no problem. I said, I'm just going to be honest with you, Jason. And I would have. because when he stayed into it, have you ever seen somebody, Joe and Ocho, that just bother people just because?
37:48Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah, yes. Oh, antagonism. Fanging his food. He's stealing your clothes. He want to wash his clothes. He take your clothes out while they wash it, put them up on top of the washer, put his clothes in there, your clothes drying. He wearing people. He wearing, bro, you 6 '2", 270. How you wearing a wide receiver IZON shirt?
38:13I say man but he just stayed into it he could play though Ocho he could if you saw the way he was built you like 19 built like that built like a grown ass man at 19 but just stayed into it fighting damn near every other day he fighting somebody but he always picked on people like he ain't really fight the D lineman. He tried to fight receivers, running backs, cornerbacks, stuff like that.
38:47Joe Johnson:He know who to pick on. Yes. Yes. But I already knew. He got into a chase. Well, they caught up with him. He stopped the car. Officer. I don't give a damn how big the officer was. Rest his soul. I hate that he lost his life. but it would probably take probably four or five officers to take him down. And I'm talking about probably my size. Not no average size police officer. Mm-mm. Mm-mm. I know y 'all gonna look it up, but you go back and look it up. That's crazy. He's where he's supposed to be. Damn. You and Ash, give me his info. I sent him out two, three pairs, 16. I got plenty of them, baby.
51:51Chad Johnson:Bet. Yeah.
51:56Here's the third one. Let's take a listen.
51:57Chad Johnson:Unk, Ocho, and Steel. Hey, I love the podcast. Y 'all keep me going. I am from Montgomery, Alabama. I'm a Marine Corps drilling charter. And I have a question for you, Unk and Ocho. Where do you rank Julio Jones all time? And Unk, I know about them sand fleas up here in Parris Island. It gets serious. But the best thing about it is I love yelling at a recruit when they trying to freaking fight them off. hey once again shout out to the podcast and thank y 'all
52:35where'd you rank julio jojo hey that that's a that's a good one that's a good one and well i think the three right now the three is unchanged jerry that would never change
52:47Joe Johnson:now when it comes when it comes to four and on i mean calvin johnson larry frisgerald marvin Harrison I mean Chris Carter yeah I mean yeah it changes tremendously and depending on who you ask four and four to ten it'd be it'd be different right but Calvin Calvin Johnson Antonio Brown it's it can go so many different ways but he's worthy of being in that top ten not just in his era I'm talking about all time huh yeah all time if AB could have kept his head on you wouldn't be able to keep AB out of the top five no for sure absolutely not he's been a top five receiver yeah not with the run he was on absolutely not if he could have stayed if he had stayed another two years he had to go but anyway if he could have kept his head on Ocho and stayed another two years at Pittsburgh man go look at that man numbers a down year is 1300 yards for him that's a down year yeah This man was having 17, 1600, 122, 118, 130 catches.
53:59Chad Johnson:Nah, he was a bad boy.
54:01Joe Johnson:Yeah, they were getting that banana peel to him, boy. Damn. Here's our fourth one. Let's take a listen. Yo, Ojo, Joe, and still, Ojo, you want to have my eyebrows. and I want to know, man, what was your most fondest memory when you played in the playoffs? Blood, man. What did he ask? Ocho, your fondest? He was asking Ocho or Iso. He said you. You. Your part, man. I ain't been in no damn playoffs except for Madden.
54:39Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, he said Ocho ain't got no eyebrows. He shot him one real quick.
54:43Joe Johnson:I knew that eyebrows. What are you talking about?
54:47Chad Johnson:Oh, man. You probably never seen him because I only got on damn glasses. Our first Super Bowl run that we went on, losing the year before to Jacksonville, who's only been in existence. This was their second year in existence. We're the number one seed, got the best record in the NFL, and they come in a divisional round. And then we come back, and we open up the playoffs with them the next year. Again. Put that thing on their ass. Then we had to go on the road, Kansas City. Kansas City had just beat us three weeks earlier in their building. Put foot in them. Went back to Pittsburgh. And Pittsburgh had just put foot in us five weeks earlier.
55:32Put foot in them. Then Green Bay. Green Bay had just blowed the doors off us last year. It was talking because they were the reigning champs. Yeah. And they had won like, NFC had won like 13 Super Bowls in a row. We broke the streak. That was the great, that for me, that was in the Ravens. Next year with the Ravens, we did the same thing. We beat the Broncos at home, went to Tennessee, went to Oakland, and then beat the, breaks off the Giants in the Super Bowl. But that first one, there's nothing like the first. Nothing like the first. Nothing like the first.
56:06Joe Johnson:I would create that experience. I sure wish I could share a playoff story. You went to the playoffs. You went to the playoffs with the Patriots. And I ain't do shit for them people, man. That don't count.
56:22Here's our last one. Let's take a listen.
56:25Chad Johnson:What's up, Nightcap? Question for ISO. On a night out with you, Jannero Pargo, Brandon Dean, and his brother Roosevelt in Houston, did you really give Roosevelt that Hugh Blood watch? Please clear this story up.
56:44Chad Johnson:Man, I ain't gonna even lie to you. I don't know who somebody told him a lie. I ain't never own no Hublot watch. So I ain't never gave nobody no Hublot watch. I don't know what he talking about.
56:54Joe Johnson:What? What? What? It might have been a Rolex.
56:56Chad Johnson:Nah, I went hell nah. I ain't gave nobody no Rolex neither. Yeah, you ain't gave my$100 either.
57:07I love how you be, you be demanding money, but you ain't paid me my money after three years. That's what I'm saying. Hold on to it, Joe.
57:15Joe Johnson:Hold on, that's different. Hey, Joe.
57:17Chad Johnson:What's different? Hold on, hold on. How's that different? What you mean? What you mean that's different, that you ain't pay Unc, but you demanding your money from somebody else?
57:27Joe Johnson:I mean, because it's... So, hold on. Me and Unc, that's a whole different scenario. You hear me? So what you trying to say about this scenario? I'm trying to say it's going to take God and the other 12 disciples to get me off your ass. You don't see my goddamn$100.
57:46Chad Johnson:Ocho, you ain't got a snowball chance in hell, boy.
57:48Joe Johnson:All right.
57:49Chad Johnson:Yeah. Dr. Frankie L. Bellamy said, Hey, fam, I keep watching WWE hoping I see cage match between Ocho and Iso. Boy, hey, hey. It wouldn't have been nothing for me to come out there and jump up under them ropes like I used to see Hacksaw, Jim Duncan, and Junkyard Dog and all them. Ocho, in that ring, Ocho, I tell you,
58:11Joe Johnson:little ass up, boy. Listen, I'll be flying off the top rope like Jimmy Super Flash Snooker, boy. This ain't what you want, man.
58:19Chad Johnson:And I'll catch your little ass just like this here. Walk around the ring like this here. Like this here. Yeah. Boy, hey. I'm telling you. All right. Yeah. TS Car Wash Detail Service. My grandpa told me, is your daddy a glass maker? Because I can't see through you. And if you're too proud to pick up a penny, you're not worth a penny. I still do. I still pick up a penny. Hopefully it's on heads. Because if it's on heads it's supposed to be good lunch. Right. Yeah. Hell it ain't even got to be no penny for me. I'm picking up all coins. Yeah. If it's a coin it's on heads I'm picking it up. I'm the exact same way.
59:01I'm the exact same way.
59:07Junior underscore cool cat was a big three. Hope y 'all doing good. Playoff, Wemby has a ride. What's ISO doing in a one-on-one versus Wemby? Woo!
59:18Joe Johnson:What? Brandy miss.
59:19Chad Johnson:Hey, the same thing ain't going to happen with ISO versus Ocho, losing. Hold on. First off, his big ass can't stay in front of me. I don't know what the hell y 'all talking about. I'm going by his big ass. He going to block you from behind, Joe.
59:32Joe Johnson:How you going to get the shot off?
59:34Chad Johnson:My thing is, it ain't necessarily trying to beat him to the rim. I'm just trying to get a step in front of him so I can stop, slow down, make him run into me. Maybe, you know, get my stuff off that way. Okay, okay. But yeah, he going to have hell now. He going to have hell. I'm going to be all up on them in his grill when he catch the ball too. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, I ain't giving no airspace. No airspace. Yeah. JJ Carver, hey, Ocho, I'm going to need you to clarify what a strap on from last night combo. You meant elbow, knee, pad strap, right? Don't tell me. Hey. Hold on, hold on.
1:00:08Joe Johnson:And they know exactly what I'm talking about. Sound like you. You excited about that, huh? No, hey. We left that conversation yesterday. Matter of fact, hey, we on tomorrow, right, Unk? Yeah. Hold on. I'm going to tell y 'all what I'm going to do. You know, I got a little dungeon, huh? Hey, Chad, listen to me real quick. Y 'all statement real quick, right? Go ahead. I got a little dungeon. You saw Fifty Shades of Grey, Joe?
1:00:26Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah, yeah.
1:00:27Joe Johnson:I'm going to bring some toys out on the show tomorrow once we get to the back half of the show. OK, all right. Because some of y 'all ain't going to probably believe me. You see, y 'all living, but y 'all alive, but y 'all ain't living, Joe. You going to bring the swing? The swing? Yeah, I'm going to bring the swing out. I'm going to show you some things y 'all should use to kind of add a little salt and pepper to your life. You got them same little plugs you were telling me to get. You got some? Oh, yeah, I got them for you, too, Joe. I'm going to show them to you tomorrow, Joe.
1:00:55Chad Johnson:You have some for your personal use. That's what I'm having.
1:00:57Joe Johnson:No, I ain't got nothing for me, Joe, but it's what you need to do.
1:01:05Joe Johnson:You thought I had something?
1:01:13Joe Johnson:Hey, Joe, I ain't gotten it. I'm just telling you, I'm trying to spice up your goddamn life.
1:01:18Chad Johnson:My life is good. That's what I'm saying. I thought you were telling me something you knew, not something you had heard. Oh, no, I saw it on YouTube. No, I ain't never do it, but I'm just saying. Hey, I'm like, oh, boy, when he talking about the strap, I thought he was talking about me telling my lady she's leaving out with that fire on her or something. Yeah.
1:01:36Joe Johnson:Oh, you thought I was talking about this? I thought you were talking about that fire. Oh, no. What else do you need? No, we want to talk about that, Joe. We want to talk about that. But listen, I'm going to get you all together tomorrow, though. I'm going to have a nice little selection of things we can choose from. I don't want to choose from nothing. I'm good. I promise you, I'm good. This man talking about he got plugs and all kinds of stuff. Hey, hey, hey. hey listen man I'm telling you I'm telling you what they used to tell me in church boy don't knock it till you try it don't knock it till you try it that's what my pastor always used to say
1:02:08Chad Johnson:nah nah
1:02:10Joe Johnson:hey you got to experience everything one time
1:02:13Chad Johnson:no you don't no I don't no you do not
1:02:15Joe Johnson:I'm just telling you nah I'm good I'm telling you nah hell nah you on your own on that alright alright hey like I said you know you know O'Shea in the bedroom everything be going off without it. I got you. I got you. Hey, listen. Listen to me, huh? As you was here when you was well, but there's always room for improvement. You hear me? Nah, Ocho. Huh? Man, I mean, you got to understand, Ocho, man, look, I had a...
1:02:51If I was a... If this what I did, if I was here when I was well there, I was a combination of Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt. Boy, get it out of here.
1:03:05Joe Johnson:I like that. Hey, that's a great combination, huh?
1:03:09Chad Johnson:Hey.
1:03:09Joe Johnson:That's a great combination. You hear me?
1:03:10Chad Johnson:Hey, if you was a combination of them, boy, you putting it down, boy. Yeah, he was.
1:03:15Joe Johnson:Yeah, he was. But see, there's one thing you could have added to that, though. What's that? Huh? What's that? You know, Usain Bolt, all he did was run straight real fast. Yeah. Michael Phelps, all he did was swim straight real fast, huh? Yeah.
1:03:29Chad Johnson:You got to slow it down.
1:03:31Joe Johnson:Yeah. We need a little creativity. We need a little, listen, the hair ain't always win the race.
1:03:37Chad Johnson:Mm.
1:03:38Joe Johnson:Huh? When they tell a story, the rabbit won. You hear me?
1:03:40Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah.
1:03:41Joe Johnson:Come on now. Stay with me. Now, what I'm trying to get you to do is slow. Slow and steady. You ain't going that fast, huh?
1:03:47Chad Johnson:Yeah, I already know it.
1:03:48Joe Johnson:Stay with me, Joe. Yeah, I already know it. Talk to me. I know what you got going. Come on. Hey, just listen to me. I'm trying to take you there. I'm a sports car. I'm built for speed. You know what I'm saying? I just got an 18-wheel of body, but I got a Ferrari engine up under here. You the jet fuel.
1:04:12Fartise up at ISO. Y 'all better not be listening to Ocho with them swings and have y 'all in ICU.
1:04:19Joe Johnson:Hey, nah. Matter of fact, I'm going to put... You know what? Does my camera turn? See, this is why I like nightcap. This is why I like being with y 'all, because I can be vulnerable and I can speak in my truths. I done got to hide who I am. Not that I do any goddamn way. But tomorrow, I'm going to hang my swing up here, huh? From the door. It hang from the door? Yeah, I'm going to hang it from the door right here to the right. And I'm going to turn my camera and I'm going to get in it. So it's not, I can't tell y 'all to try something. Why you in it? What you mean you getting in it? She's supposed to be in it.
1:04:47Joe Johnson:I thought she didn't. No, but she ain't here. I can't, I can't. No, don't you get your ass in it. We just had a swing up, and we can use our imagination. Nah, nah, I'm going to get in the swing. I'm going to start getting an example on how things are supposed to go. Because y 'all ain't never had no swing, so I'm going to show you how it's supposed to be. You hear me? Oh, my goodness. Yeah. Hey, Joe, hold on. Let me turn my camera. Let me see. Hold on. Let me see.
1:05:11Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah. You see my doorway? Go back. You see my doorway? I can't go. You got to go. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
1:05:17Joe Johnson:Oh, okay, okay. Okay, yeah. Put it up there with the door. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I'm going to get us together a nice little demonstration, a nice little demonstration. Because it's one thing for people to say stuff, Joe. Yeah. You know, it don't give you no satisfaction unless you have visual reference on what to do. So I'm going to put the swing up. I'm going to get in the swing, and I'm going to tell you what to do.
1:05:40Chad Johnson:But for context, the guys need to know that the swing is really for the woman to get in.
1:05:45Joe Johnson:Yeah, the swing is for the woman. Now listen. Now listen to me. Listen to me now. Now, if you want to add a little salt and pepper to your life, now the swing could also be for you.
1:05:55Chad Johnson:Really? Really? Yeah, Joe, yes. Hey, before a guy to get any heat, damn, they're going to have to be fun size, ain't he?
1:06:02Joe Johnson:Yeah, not really, Joe, because the swing hold up to 250 pounds.
1:06:07Chad Johnson:Yeah, I can't get it.
1:06:07Joe Johnson:Well, I'm glad I'm 251. Yeah, I can't get it.
1:06:13That's perfect. I ain't got to worry about it.
1:06:20Joe Johnson:Hey, I just want y 'all to have a little fun, man. That's all. Hey, Joe, you got handcuffs?
1:06:26Chad Johnson:I may have a set or two.
1:06:28Joe Johnson:Yeah, okay, you got a blindfold?
1:06:31Chad Johnson:Yeah, you can use anything for a blindfold here.
1:06:34Joe Johnson:Okay, yeah, that's true. You got the ball gag, you know, the ball, the collar with the leash. I ain't got any of that.
1:06:40Chad Johnson:I got plenty of them for my dog now, but I ain't.
1:06:43Joe Johnson:Yeah, but you don't want to put the dog collar around your neck. Yeah, but you don't want to put the dog collar around your neck. Around who neck? You got the fur handcuffs, Ocho? Huh? You got the fur handcuffs? Yeah, because I don't like the metal ones. They leave cuts on my wrist. Got a couple of pairs of zip ties, too. I mean, you know, for bread. For what I'm talking about, bread. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
1:07:06Chad Johnson:Okay, okay, okay. Ocho, you put the collar around your neck? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You got the ones with the spikes? The ones with the spikes in them? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
1:07:17Joe Johnson:Like, so she's able to pull back so you can't run. You feel me? What do you mean? What do you mean so you can't run? Joe, when she get the ice, with the ice in your ass, Joe. Oh, Lord. She's cracked back. Joe, and she pull back. Joe, and you got to tell her, tell her, use her left hand. Use her left hand so you can't go, so your neck jerk back. Right? And you looking up. You looking up. But she back there with the ice. And it's like, Joe, it's unbelievable, Joe. You got your, you got an OnlyFan? A who? You got an OnlyFan? Yeah, for my feet.
1:08:02That man here, this man put all cattle stuff in his butt.
1:08:08Man, look here, man. Oh, this dude here, hell, boy. I don't know what's going on with Ocho, man.
1:08:17Joe Johnson:Hey, Joe, you ain't got no OnlyFans? Nah, nah, I'm good. Hey, Joe, hey, boy, my OnlyFans are killing it. It's OnlyFeed. OnlyFeed. You probably making bankrolls. Now, Ocho, after you done been talking, I'm throwing all my stuff away. What you throwing away? What you throwing away, Unk? All them little gadgets I got. Man, what you got over there, Unk? Nothing. You got a few toys, too? I had some, Joe. I had to, you know. Yeah. Hey, see? There we go, Unk. There you see. Hey, I got some toys over there now. But you know I got somebody that matched that energy. Yeah, right. Yeah, she, I'm like, whoa.

1:13:04Hey, hey, my lady a Scorpio now.
1:13:08Chad Johnson:You a Scorpion? Yeah, she a Scorpio. Yeah, you know. I don't really know nothing about science. You don't know nothing about them Scorpio? You didn't hear that song Tyrese said? I met a Scorpio. She had no limit to where she go Okay, okay So that means you already got somebody that's willing to do
1:13:27Joe Johnson:Everything I'm explaining
1:13:29Chad Johnson:Yeah, but I ain't springing nothing on her like that, Ojo Okay
1:13:33Joe Johnson:Yeah, I ain't
1:13:39Joe Johnson:Hey, boy, I know you I know your friends I bet they think I'm crazy, huh?
1:13:45Chad Johnson:Boy, hey, listen I'm telling y 'all, man Hey, where I go, somebody stop me And talk about y 'all, bro They talk about how wild y 'all are.
1:13:53Joe Johnson:Joe, we just living. Joe, we not wild. Everyone else is scared to be themselves publicly. Joe, I'm trying to show people it's okay to say how you really feel. It's okay. Everybody ain't. I don't care about what nobody say about me. I don't care about what nobody think about me. I've always been me. I've always been very blunt and open.
1:14:15Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah.
1:14:16Joe Johnson:Yeah, you can hate me. I love being, hey, Joe, I love being the villain, Joe. That's me. That's my role.
1:14:22Chad Johnson:You may be a little too open sometimes, Ocho. Me? Yeah, you want to pipe down a little bit, partner.
1:14:27Joe Johnson:Yeah, and you using the right words. Open and pipe. That's what I do, bro. Huh? What are we talking about, Joe? This one? Hey, that's a good combination of words there, bro. Arday said, after last night's stream, like Cat Williams said, Ocho liked to party. Sometimes you got to tell him no.
1:14:57Joe Johnson:Oh, man. Hey, well, y 'all got to hear. Oh, my goodness. You got to tell him no. Steeler Pat 86, my son Hart is making the NBA. He'll be lucky to be six foot. What should he focus on to help him reach his dream, and how could I help him besides cheering? She said her son's looking to make the NBA, and he what? His heart is set on making the NBA, but he'll be lucky to be six foot. What should he focus on to help him reach the dream? And how can she help him besides cheering?
1:15:30Chad Johnson:You got to first master the basics, meaning ball handling, shooting. You got to master the basics and you got to be a dog defensively. To be a small guy to make it into the NBA nowadays. Yeah. Like, bro, like your presence got to be felt the moment you step on the court, meaning you got to pick your man up 94 feet. You know what I'm saying? You got to harass a guy. You got to make them, you know, when they see you guarding them, they got to throw that ball to somebody else. But, man, y 'all bring it up. I'm going to go down here. You got to be one of them type of dudes when you smile like that.
1:16:10Tim Lee, 65-57. How is HGA such a big favorite over Jokic for MVP? Have people actually seen the numbers, and Jokic don't play with the team that HGA does? Do y 'all notice SGA hooking his defender and getting away with fouls?
1:16:24Chad Johnson:Hey, listen. I get it. He ain't going to be everybody cup of tea. But when you're doing something historically that hasn't been done since Michael Jordan, meaning you're a guard, and Michael Jordan shot 53 % from the field, and you shooting 55 % from the field, man, y 'all can say what y 'all want. That man out there getting it done, bro. Yes, sir. And the fact that they've been the best team in the NBA over the past three years, for real, you know, I mean, it says a lot. Sexy Ed Boyd, would you rather never be able to show emotions or never be able to hide them? Never show them. Never show emotions.
1:17:10Joe Johnson:Oh, Joe. Man, shit. I done cried on this show how many times? Yeah, you show emotion. You show excitement. Yeah. Yeah, Joe, I be, boy. Man, I'm talking about the Luz stuff. I'm talking about explaining about his dog's past and here I am crying. We talk about our grandmas, you know, maybe three, four weeks ago. I'm on here crying.
1:17:31Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah.
1:17:32Joe Johnson:My daughter, she crossed over at PV. I'm on here crying.
1:17:36Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah.
1:17:38Joe Johnson:But then when it comes to other stuff that I'm supposed to cry about I'm like next
1:17:46Joe Johnson:it's weird yeah
1:17:53YouTube trade 243 now you gotta get Roman Reigns on Club Shea Shea we try to make it happen Mike Mike what's up big three ISO don't pay Ocho until he pays on everyone just gotta owe everyone
1:18:10it ain't okay my guys if bingles have another lackluster season is zach taylor finally gone and iso what does the hornets need uh most to uh to get over missing the playoff hump ocho did they extend zach taylor or they just let him uh i think this he's the last year of
1:18:29Joe Johnson:his contract yeah i believe so if i'm not mistaken but obviously i mean with that question as you know when it comes to Mike Brown he's not one like other owners who will fire a coach and still have to pay them when they're not there. So I'm sure depending on how this year goes they'll probably extend Zach Taylor another two maybe three years. With the moves that Mike Brown's making right now and Katie and Choi and letting Joe Burrow and the fans know as well we're going all in. We're all hands on deck. We're putting all our cars in doing everything we can to compete especially on the defensive end which is been our Achilles heel the past two, three years?
1:19:07He has this year plus next year on the contract. Okay.
1:19:15Joe, what does the Hornets need to do to get over to missing the playoff hump?
1:19:19Chad Johnson:They gotta get some more interior presence. They need some more bigs. I like Diabate, the center they have. Obviously, if I'm not mistaken, I think they led the league in probably second chance points or something like that. I know they were tops in the league. But they got a lot of guys who can hustle and play. But you can see once they kind of got into playing, especially against Orlando, their interior presence, if you ain't got no interior presence, I mean, they getting killed. Because they rely so much on their offense, meaning their perimeter guys to put up these historic numbers. And it's not going to always be the case, especially when you get in the postseason and the game starts to slow down a little bit.
1:20:01Chad Johnson:So they need some more beef up under their goal. I agree. Yeah. Ronnie M, what's up, NICAP fam? Since Luka and Cade are eligible, who are your all-NBA teams? I think first team is going to be Shea, Luka. Cade. Will he be first team? So, hold on. Here's the thing now. We know three, Shea, Wimby, and Jokic, because those are the three that's the MVP. Shea, Wimby, Jokic, yeah. Luka, you got, so basically, the last three spots, two spots for three guys. JB, Cade, Luka. What about Ant-Man? What are you putting in there? Ant-Man ain't in there? Not for first team. Not for first team, okay. Okay, uh, damn.
1:20:52Chad Johnson:I think Cade gonna make it. The fact that they finished first in the Eastern Conference, did they finish for one? Yeah. Yep, they're number one. Yeah, I think Kade going to make it. I think he'll make first. I think JB going to be on second team. So Luka going to be on the second team. Why Luka ain't going to be on the second team? Because you only get five. Luka, Shea. So you got Wimby, Shea, Jokic. You saying Kade and JB, that's five. I don't think JB going to make the first team.
1:21:21Joe Johnson:Okay.
1:21:23Chad Johnson:Who are you putting in place with JB? I think Luka. He led the league in scoring. and they're going to reward him for that.
1:21:28Joe Johnson:Yeah, you're right. You're right.
1:21:31Chad Johnson:Yeah, they're going to reward him. But I definitely, JB going to definitely be on second team for sure. Okay. Join behind F. Y 'all ever heard of Tender Kisses by Tracy Spencer? Yeah. That's shy. Have my feet, have me feeling, singing like the rent is late. Hold on. Tender Kisses. Tender Kisses. Don't know You already got her Man, tell him I'm gonna put it Hey, tell Buddy The DME, man I'm gonna send him A playlist he got For his old lady I know I know what he want I already know what he want That boy trying to act up
1:22:12Joe Johnson:Oh, yeah I remember this I remember this Okay, okay, okay Yeah I'm super old school With it, though, Joe Especially when It comes to that music But Buddy I'm super old school I know, but Buddy
1:22:23Chad Johnson:Look like he younger than me I know he want something old school to him, it's going to be Jodeci, Jagged Edge. It's going to be something like that. 112. He said R &B.
1:22:34Joe Johnson:There you go. My bad. When I hear R &B, I go all the way back, boy. I go back 70s and 80s. I already know it. East Coast Cav, when can we see y 'all really take this on the road? I'm talking about Nightcap Live London. Y 'all deserve that global money, too. Congrats on all your success. Yes. We just tried to put together something, maybe a two or three city tour, maybe this summer. But that's going to be difficult because we got the World Cup. Right. And I don't know about Ocho, but I'm going to need some time off. We've been at it pretty tough since we started back at home.
1:23:12Chad Johnson:Y 'all can come hang with me. Yeah, Ocho, give him some time off. Y 'all come hang with me. I promise I got something. Hey, we're going to have a good time. I promise you, we're going to have a good time.
1:23:22Joe Johnson:Hey, speaking of World Cup, right?
1:23:25Chad Johnson:Yes.
1:23:26Joe Johnson:Because there's so many games going on. Yes. I already got my schedule for the World Cup and the games I'm going to. Okay. I'm only going to six. I'm only going to six that I want to be in first because the rest of them, I'm going to be out there by you too, Joe. You coming to the eight? Oh, you coming out here because it's going to be jumping out here. Matter of fact, I'm going to tell you right now, Atlanta, my first stop is to watch Morocco play Haiti in Atlanta. Okay. Then I go to L.A. to watch USA play Paraguay. Then I come right here in Miami. I get to see Colombia versus Portugal. And then New York, I'm going to see Brazil versus Morocco.
1:24:01Joe Johnson:And then, obviously, I'm going to go to the finals in New York. But the games are spread out. I'm not doing it back-to-back. So, you know, I go to a game. Then I watch the rest at home on TV. What day is the Morocco and Haiti when they play out here? That got to be at the beginning of the World Cup, too, Joe. I don't have the dates by the games I'm going to. but it's early because that's the first game. It got to be early June.
1:24:24Chad Johnson:Yeah, let me know, man. I'll pull up with you, man. I know we ain't got the best, you know, rapport when it comes to, you know, hanging out and all that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, you know, I make an exception. You know what I mean? Oh, so you gonna come to the game with me? Yeah, I'll come to the game with you, bro.
1:24:42Joe Johnson:Okay. I mean, I ain't invite you but, I mean, I... Hey, y 'all. Hey. He invited himself. And he just invited himself out of the blue. I'm like, wait, okay, okay.
1:24:55Chad Johnson:Hey, listen, I'm going to tell you something. I'm going to tell you something. I ain't no real big soccer guy, but I went to one of them United games. Right. Oh, Atlanta. Yeah, yeah. I heard they be hype. Man, look, Ocho, I ain't never been to no soccer game before then, bro. I'm talking about that thing was jam-packed, bro. Hey, hold on, Joe.
1:25:12Joe Johnson:If you think that was something, wait till you see the World Cup atmosphere. Wait till you see the crowd. Morocco, Argentina, Colombia.
1:25:21Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:25:23Joe Johnson:From a fandom standpoint, once you get in the atmosphere with them, Joe, boy, you ain't seen nothing like that, Joe.
1:25:31Chad Johnson:It's different.
1:25:32Joe Johnson:Man, it's different. It's different.
1:25:35Chad Johnson:All right. That's the World Cup, man. I want to see it. I want to at least say I was a part of it. I seen it, you know? Thank you. That concludes this episode of Nightcap. 1:26:44We want to thank our very, very special guest, the Lemon Pepper Stepper, Mr. Trick Williams. Congratulations on winning the title tonight. The Spurs beat the Trail Blazers 111-98. Wimby set a playoff debut record for the Spurs, surpassing Tim Duncan, in which he scored 35 points. Paulo Bancaro scored 23 as they go on the road to continue the misery for the Detroit Pistons, who have lost, who haven't won a home playoff game since 2008. And Carroll had 23. Shea Gill just had 25 as the reigning champs routed the Phoenix Suns by the score of 119 to 84. It wasn't even close, and I went to my yard and started pulling weeds with a pair of tweezers.
1:27:33And Jason Tatum returned and picked up right where he left off with 25 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists. And JB added another 26 as they blow out. The 76 is 123 to 91. And Charles Barkley, they're going to reconcile. It's been 14 years. It's been far too long. They've been too good a friend for it to end this way. And so I'm glad they reached out.
