In short
NBA roster/strategy talk plus offseason rumors and Big3 weekend recap. Main focus is Draymond Green’s take that Victor Wembanyama’s 7’5” frame can be a disadvantage offensively, plus debate on how Dylan Harper should be used and whether he can become James Harden-like. Also covers Lakers interest in Knicks center Mitchell Robinson and Blazers center Robert Williams III, and critiques of coaching/rotations in a Spurs-related series. Ends with Big3 Season 9 Weekend 1: LA Riot vs Miami 305, including multiple scuffles, ejections, and a Miami forfeit.
Guests (on-air)
No formal guest list in the transcript. Recurring hosts/speakers include “Unc,” “Ocho,” and “Joe,” plus references to NBA champion Ron Harper (as a quoted/presented figure) and Joe Johnson (quoted).
Key claims
- Wembanyama’s height “hurts” him on offense because defenders can root him out; helps defensively with shot blocking/deflections.
- Dylan Harper rumors about demanding a starting spot are “fake news”; Ron Harper says Dylan should earn minutes; Joe Johnson compares Dylan’s potential to Harden.
- Lakers should consider Robinson/Williams for interior defense, but Robinson’s foul trouble and limited offensive role are concerns; Williams is a gamble due to injury history.
Notable examples
- Wembanyama blocking three-pointers; Caruso guarding him; comparisons to Giannis and Shaq.
- Ron Harper reposting Joe Johnson’s Harden-potential comment; Harden’s left-handedness and offensive/defensive debate.
- Big3: Beasley and Lance Stevenson ejected; suspensions (Beasley week 3, Stevenson week 2); Miami forfeits vs LA Riot.

2:35Shannon Sharpe:Draymond Green saying 7 '5 might actually hurt Victor Wimanyama. Let's take a listen to what Dre had to say. A unicorn. It's a rare, rare air that he's in. Not only is it a unicorn, but you also get to a certain height where it becomes a disservice in this league. You know, like there's nothing he can do about being 7 '5", but I'm not sure 7 '5 suits you better than being 7 '1". Right, right. Like being 7 '5". With his skill set. With his skill set. Being 7 '5 almost does him a disservice. Like, yeah, you can catch a fit. But with the skill set that everyone loves about this kid, being 7 '5 almost hurts that.
3:17Shannon Sharpe:because once you get to this level, you're going to run up against guys who's way stronger, that moves as fast or faster, and they play way lower to the ground. Right. And as you know, low man wins. And so if you're just running up into that, like 7 '5 kind of hurts you. And so I think that's something that he's going to have to adjust to as well that people aren't really accounting for. I think it hurts him on an offensive end. I think it helps him on a defensive end. Absolutely. Because you see how he blocking those three-point shots. When he take one step and he throwing the ish in the stands,
3:58Chad Johnson:when he's deflecting it, I understand what Draymond's saying
4:02Shannon Sharpe:because he's so tall, it's easy to root him out and get up under him. And that's why you saw sometimes you saw Caruso was guarding him. There's no way a 6 '5 guard, a 6 '4 guard should be able to guard him. But because he's so tall and he can't, Caruso just gets up under him and root him out of his spot.
4:22Chad Johnson:Yeah. That lower sense of gravity, bro. He's never going to have an advantage when it comes to that. He's always going to have to use his length, his quickness versus the cast that's going to be guarding him, Ocho. He's always going to have an advantage. That's the problem because a big man guarding him, he's always going to have an advantage because of how he moves at his height. and the way his game is, you know, he's not a typical big. He's not a stiff. He's not a guy who can just post up and shoot jump hooks or just shoot middies. Like, this dude going to block the shot, bring it all the way up the court, run the play.
5:00Chad Johnson:You know what? Now, y 'all just get out the way. Go in my bag, bing, bing, bing. You know what I mean? And get right to it. We ain't seen that, bro, at 7 '5". So I agree with Unk. Defensively, it helps him. It's just on the offensive end, when he does try to be demonstrative when it comes to posting up and trying to gain that advantage and using his height to his advantage, that's where he's going to have to get stronger. Stronger don't mean like the mass he has to get. He has to be that wiry strong. You know the word. You just can't let guys root you out and move. You know what I mean? I think that's the biggest adjustment that he going to have to face or deal with that ultimately is going to take him to that next level to make that leap like Giannis made.
5:45Chad Johnson:You know, when Giannis first came into the league, boy, he was skin and bone. I'm talking about, man, it's just night and day to what he ultimately got to. I don't think he going to be able to put on the mask Giannis got. But as far as being effective and using his length and moving around the court the way he does, he's always going to have an advantage. He just has to be more consistent in, you know, his mid-range jump shots, his three-point jump shots, because you always got to respect him way out there. That's the advantage. So if he catches two feet behind a three, Ocho, and he pump fake you now, because you got to close out tough, now he can get into his bag.
6:23Chad Johnson:I just think, you know, strengthening up them hips, bro. Everything connected to the hips. Strengthening up them hips to where you can move, move. Weights down. Huh?
6:33Shannon Sharpe:Weights down.
6:33Chad Johnson:Yeah. You got to be. Rob Markman, Jr.: Yeah. When I look at... I'm about to say Giannis. When I look at - Rob Markman, Jr.: Wimby. Rob Markman, Jr.: Wimby. Rob Markman, Jr.: Wimby. Rob Markman, Jr.: Yeah. When I look at Wimby, obviously I think for him, I understand what Draymond is saying. I think he has an advantage obviously being 7 '5". The only problem, the only problem he has is when he in the low block or the post. That's it. That's it. Outside of that, he plays small outside from the three. When it's time to go into his two-block Joe, he play like somebody that's 6 '5", 6 '7". He can put the ball in the flow.
7:10He can shake you. He can get by you. The only issue, if you want to add something to his game, is to be able to play with your back to the basket and maybe to go in your bag and not let people get you off your spot. That's the reason why
7:22Shannon Sharpe:he don't want to because he knows he's not strong enough to consistently bang. See, look, if he, like Shaq, Shaq was 7 '1". Shaq was 3 '25". So Shaq was, but Shaq was ultra, ultra quick. For his size, Shaq moved like a guy 6 '6", 6 '7". But he got 325 pounds. So when Shaq put that shoulder into you or put that hip on you, you move it. It's a wrap. When he put that shoulder on you, everybody's like, well, damn.
7:57Chad Johnson:He ain't gaining no ground.
7:59Shannon Sharpe:Who cut a fan on in here? Ain't nobody moving. Ain't nobody getting dislodged. Look how OG dislodged him. Yeah. Remember OG going to the basket, dislodging, boom. You think somebody can dislodge? You might dunk on a big, but you're not supposed to dislodge him like that.
8:18Chad Johnson:Hey, and I think Wimby hears all this too, fellas. I think he going to come back. You know, I think that in hindsight, the best thing that can happen to Wimby is them losing in this finals, bro. I think that young man going to lock in. Y 'all got to remember now, he ain't but 22 years old. So all that we're talking about, he's going to gain the strength to where he can hold his ground. It may take him to the next year or the year after that, but he's going to get better next year and the next year and the next year. So I think his game will continue to ascend to where he's going to be, obviously, the face of the league.
8:53Chad Johnson:Because the numbers that he's going to have across the board, bro, it's going to be something that we've never seen before. when it comes to scoring, blocks, rebounds. He probably going to be top five in every statistical category. You're right.
9:08Shannon Sharpe:And I think the thing is, look, everybody can't be like magic. Come in off the rip, boom, win the championship. Bird, come in. Sometimes you got to grind your way through like Jordan.
9:20Chad Johnson:Yeah.
9:21Shannon Sharpe:Lose, lose. He's like, man, the bad boy Pistons beating the hell out of me. Damn this. Hey, Tim, let's get in this gym.
9:29Chad Johnson:Yeah.
9:30Shannon Sharpe:No time off. It builds character, bro. Bro, I'm tired of these hard-ass fouls because they're wearing me down. I got to be able to withstand that, still get to my spot, and let this velvet jumper go.
9:42Chad Johnson:Hello.
9:43Shannon Sharpe:And that's what he did. Hello. So all that Joe Dumars pulling him down and Lambeer and Sal and Rodman beating the hell out of James Edward, Rick Mahorn. You're like, man, enough of this.
9:56Chad Johnson:Man, yeah.
9:57Shannon Sharpe:He started to be able to play through that. and now he don't have a weakness. You can't beat him up because they felt they could beat him up. Say we beat him up, hey, he'll shut it down. Now you can't beat him up. Now what you going to do? Yeah. But you know what? He's still small frame. Even if he does get stronger, I think he has to pick and choose when he wants to play that game. When he wants to play that game with his back to the basket. When he wants to play that game down there in the low block. You pick and choose when you want to do that. You don't want to take away from your other strengths and being able to put the ball on the floor, being able to shoot the three, or being able to get to your spot and shoot your kiddie.
10:37Chad Johnson:Yeah, no, no, I agree with you, Ocho, and I think that's why I say he has to take what's a weakness of him right now and make it into a strength. And that's just, you know, obviously staying in the weight room, getting stronger, and continue to work on your game. Your game's going to evolve once he gets more comfortable and gain more strength. You know, man, you've been in that weight room, bro. It brings a sense of confidence when you hit that floor, man. Absolutely. I don't know about y 'all, but bro, I used to do a full workout before games. You know, just to go out there and really feel strong.
11:04Chad Johnson:Like, hey, man, it's way different when you've been in that weight room. And I think this loss hurts Wimby in the finals to where, you know, he really was hurt behind this. So I think he's going to come back a totally different player. But the problem is with Wimby, he didn't have a signature shot that he could go to. Yeah.
11:24Shannon Sharpe:Look at all the greats. They had a signature shot they could go to. Elijah Juan Jordan, Bird Magic, Kobe Braun, Elijah Juan I don't know if I've mentioned Elijah Juan twice Everybody had a shot So he doesn't have that shot I can put it to my basket, I can put my back to the basket Give it to me He didn't feel comfortable with that
11:48Chad Johnson:He didn't feel like Dirk Yeah, yeah
11:51Shannon Sharpe:All those guys Now if you were Shaq, you said 1-3-25-3-40 Where you would just turn around and everybody move and bang but that ain't what he is. He's going to have to build Brunson. When Brunson need to get a shot, Brunson going to go to that, he going to do that, put that shoulder to you and hit you with the step back. Every single time, go back and look at the shots that he hit on Champagne. Go back and look at the shots that he made down in clutch situation. You got to have that in your bag.
12:19Chad Johnson:Oh yeah, and as a post player, you got to have you at least at least three moves, go-to move that you know going to work. And you're right, he don't have that right now. And I think he definitely has to put the work in. At his size, bro, Ocho, I agree with you. He needs to use his matchups for him, who's ever guarding. You got a big guy here who's slow-footed like Gobert, then take him out here in the deep waters and drown him. You know what I mean? Yes. You know what I mean? Take him out here in the deep waters and drown him. But when you're playing against the Knicks and they got Katt and he guarding you, you're going to have to get you a couple moves, jump hook, You know what I mean?
12:59Chad Johnson:Three nice go-to moves, bro, that you can give him something different every time to keep his ass guessing. And I think once he figures that part out, Arca Ocho, that's going to take him to a whole other level. Listen, I'm not in the NBA. I'm not Wimby. But understanding the strengths that I have right now, how good I am offensively, how good I am defensively. There are two people that I would want to go see in the offseason. For one, to work on the toolbox. Two, I'm going to see Kevin Garnett. Just for the mentality. just to have that dog in me, and I'm going to see Akeem Olajuwon to add some of the repertoire that he had to his game and see if I can add it to that.
13:37Chad Johnson:That footwork, boy. You got to get that footwork. That's what the dream got, bro. Look, we look at the turnaround shots and all that, but it's his footwork. You know, when we learn that, he get that footwork down, it's a wrap, bro.
13:51Shannon Sharpe:Well, I don't know if he's going to get that footwork because you got to realize, Akeem grew up playing soccer. Yeah. So you know he great with his people. Yeah, Wimby, where's Wimby from? Huh? Wimby grew up playing soccer to wait for him. Man, how you going to kick the ball with a size 42 shoot? He playing size, he playing. He playing with a size 30. He went by the size 30. Man, that man feet that long, Joe. How the hell are you going to kick the damn ball? He ain't playing no soccer. If he playing soccer, he was playing goalie, boy. Yeah. Yeah, he might kick the ball when it's in front of him, but as far as dribbling the ball down the field, hell no.
14:28Shannon Sharpe:but you look at it wasn't just a turnaround Dreamer show you the ball show you another move show you another move and then up under you

14:36Chad Johnson:yeah
14:39Shannon Sharpe:you just slick with it you gotta have a counter to the counter
14:41Chad Johnson:there you go
14:43Shannon Sharpe:that's it look the thing is that he's gotta work on that now because we said the same thing with Dwight Howard he only 19 he gonna work on it and Dwight Howard never developed a signature move. These two completely different type of animals, though. Huh? These two completely type of animals, though. All I'm saying is if Dwight Howard would have worked on a move, Joe, because look at Dwight. Dwight had that same little skinny-ass frame when he came in. And two, three years later, man, Dwight Howard looked like a show-nuff.
15:16Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah. Hey, Dwight was real raw. When he first came into the league, He ain't have no offensive game for real. You know what I mean? He's running dog. Yeah, but he developed him a nice little jump hook, you know, a heel shooter turnaround sometime, and then face up to where he turn face up and shoot that little jump off the glass. He developed that. You know what I mean? Wimby, he's going to develop. I'm telling y 'all, he's going to develop at least two to three go-to moves that he used on that block, whether it's the turning face, whether it's the back down to the jump hook, whether it's fade away.
15:51Chad Johnson:But you have to be effective and efficient when you shoot these shots, bro. Because in the postseason, what we see, hey, man, ain't a whole lot of space out there. You know what I mean? You ain't got a lot of time. Great scores. It don't take all day pounding the rock. You're going to get two dribbles max, you know, to be able to get your stuff off. And you got to be able to do it at an efficiency rate. And I think he will learn that.
16:15Shannon Sharpe:NBA champion Ron Harper, father Dylan Harper, completely shut down the widely circulated reports. of rumors regarding Dylan's camp demanding a starting spot. Stop it. Fake news. You don't want to demand a spot. You want to earn a spot. Ron also reposted us. Joe Johnson says Dylan Harper has the opportunity to be a prime James Harden potential. He would average 22, 23 points a game his rookie season if he had the same freedom. Did James play defense?
16:47Chad Johnson:No, not like Harper, bro.
16:50Shannon Sharpe:But, oh, Harper should hope that when his son career is over, he's a top 75 player.
16:58Chad Johnson:Yeah.
16:59Shannon Sharpe:We weren't trying to be dismissive. You was praising him. You see something in this kid that he can say, you know what? He has the ability to be offensively what James Harden was. Yeah. We were praising him. We didn't shoot him down. We didn't say, oh, we said he should be in the starting lineup.
17:16Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
17:19Shannon Sharpe:But see, when you just listen to clips and not listen to the meat of what you and I was discussing,
17:26Chad Johnson:and Ocho, this is what you get. Yeah.
17:30Shannon Sharpe:Nobody was trying to shoot your son down. We was praying to your son. We said he was the second best on some nights, the best player on the Spurs.
17:38Chad Johnson:Yeah.
17:39Shannon Sharpe:But I guess you didn't hear that part. Go ahead, Joe. He probably didn't. And the fact that Joe even thinks he can be somewhat similar to James Harden if he had the green light to shoot when he want to and he can play defense the way he does? Come on now. You can't ask for nothing than that.
17:57Chad Johnson:Hey, look, despite what his pop say, his son, he's special. He's special, bro.
18:03Shannon Sharpe:We were trying to, we were trying to, we thought we did a good job of conveying. You did, having played the game, having looked at James Harden game, they're both lefties.
18:13Chad Johnson:Yeah.
18:14Shannon Sharpe:Harper already has an NBA body. Harden had to grow into his body. Look at Harden as a rookie and look at Harden now. Look at Dylan Harper. That is a grown man's body.
18:25Chad Johnson:Yeah. You know what I'm saying?
18:27Shannon Sharpe:Given the same opportunities to have a green light, which is going to be highly unlikely because he's playing with Wimby.
18:33Chad Johnson:Yeah.
18:34Shannon Sharpe:But that situation, we're saying he, Joe was saying, he has the ability to be as special as Harden. For you to say that, knowing what Harden is, he might not play no defense. He's one of the great offensive guys in the history of the NBA.
18:49Chad Johnson:Yes, sir.
18:51Shannon Sharpe:He's an MVP. He's led the league in scoring. He's led the league in assists. He's a top 75 player. Yeah. And he made it seem like we say he should be a role player. We're saying that he should start.
19:06Chad Johnson:Yeah.

Today we're diving into a fascinating conversation with Stefano Pallard, head of fan development for Scuderia Ferrari HP.
21:22Your pronunciation is strongly American. It's more Scuderia Ferrari. I'm still working on rolling my R's. But what I was able to learn from Stefano was the importance of engaging the Tifosi, the Ferrari superfans in the digital age. Ferrari fans and super fans want to be part of something, want to belong to something. So they want to be part of a community and ultimately they want to be part of a winning team. You've got Ferrari, which has a long history, design history. And now you're interacting in a kind of digital space. I'm curious how you balance those two traditions. When it comes to fan engagement, it's really digital technology and digital channels are being able to create a deeper connection with our fans.

23:22Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, sky's the limit for that young kid, bro. You know, he just got to keep putting the work in. And he'll look bigger than James Harden. Okay, Ocho. Yes. Yeah, like, if you watch him, the way he maneuvers around the court and when he does get in the paint, bro, it's like he big boy. He damn near play like he did. He play through contact. That's why Harden is slippery.
23:44Shannon Sharpe:Harden is trying to get on edges. No, he's trying to play through you. Yeah. He can get on the edge. There you go. But you look at him, he's trying to dunk on folks. Oh, yeah.
23:54Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah. He ain't playing. He ain't playing. But he got that same bag that I think James Harden has. And maybe it is because they both lefties, got nice, smooth jump shots. His potential is through the roof, bro.
24:09Shannon Sharpe:But I'm just trying to figure out. So because we say he could be James Harden, we're talking about – and you're talking about did James Harden play defense? No. But he's an 11, 12-time NBA all-star. He's an all-NBA player. He's a top 75 player in the history of the game. Yeah. Don't – listen, James Harden is not a defensive guy, but don't demean the guy now.
24:32Chad Johnson:I agree. He's a top 75.
24:37Shannon Sharpe:He's a top five two-guard, all the two guards. He's a top five. Now, I don't think anybody's going to put him over Kobe and Jordan. Now, there's been some debate about him and D-Wade. D-Wade, yeah. D-Wade, personally, I like D-Wade, but hey, to each his own. Some people go like, James Harden offensive game is so great, I can't have him no lower than third. Yeah. Okay, fine. But, man, y 'all got to stop this notion, man. Y 'all make it seem like every player in the league played lockdown defense like Kobe and Jordan. They didn't. No, sir, it's a small, it's a select few, especially in today's game.
25:15Chad Johnson:It is, bro. It is. It ain't but a couple guys who are willing to do that dirty work because everybody wants to, you know, they want to shoot the threes. They want to score 25, 30 points a night. It ain't a lot of cats want to do that damn dirty work.
25:30Shannon Sharpe:How many guys in the history of the game has been first team all-NBA and all-NBA defense? How many guys in the same season? It ain't many, boy. It's a few. Majuwan, Robinson, Duncan, Kobe, Braun, Jordan. How many? It ain't many. How many first team All-NBA players and all defensive players on the first team in the same season? Giannis, Kawhi?
26:04Chad Johnson:Yeah.
26:05Shannon Sharpe:I bet you they've been less than 15.
26:07Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah. Because I bet Scotty Pippen, I just don't think offensively he probably was first team. But defensively, you know, he always made the...
26:17Shannon Sharpe:Probably, probably. I think he made it maybe twice. I know the year that Jordan retired. Remember the first year Jordan retired? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And he almost got him there?
26:25Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah.
26:28Shannon Sharpe:But it's hard. When he played, you got Barkley, you got Malone. I mean they battling it out damn near every year and then you get KG you get Dirk so it wasn't it wasn't no easy it wasn't no easy fix and there's only five spots on both so there's not a whole lot of guys that can say you know what I locked it down on both ends on a nightly basis offense and defense but Look, I ain't got no problem. I believe every man should praise his son, but I believe you can praise your son. James Harden ain't no – you can say he didn't play no defense, but he's one of the greatest offensive players we've ever seen.
27:16Chad Johnson:Offensive player, yeah. Hey, old Ron Harper here. Anytime somebody says something about his son, he come at him, man.
27:24Shannon Sharpe:But even when somebody tried to praise his son, he still tried to come at him.
27:29Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah.
27:31Shannon Sharpe:You know what's so funny? Man, all this time, man, I ain't even know that was Mr. Harper's son. You didn't? Nah, because we never talked about it. We just talked about Dylan Harper. We never talked about it being Ron Harper's son. We never say nothing like that. As soon as you say Ron Harper, I put... Oh, offensively? He's a good defensive player. Now, hey, hey, hey. Bronson average 33. Yeah.
28:07Shannon Sharpe:Brunson average 33. He got 45 in the closeout game. Ain't very many people that have had 40 plus points in the closeout game. I don't know, Joe. They ain't closeout game. Jordan. Giannis got 50 when he closed out Phoenix. Jordan got 45 when he closed out Utah. And Brunson got 45 when he closed out the Spurs.
28:29Chad Johnson:Yeah.
28:32Shannon Sharpe:sometimes Ron just take the compliment bro nobody trying to demean your son Joe actually as a matter of fact thought so much of your son's game that he said he had a chance to be hardened if given the opportunity that's praise that is praise
28:54Shannon Sharpe:we talked about it we believe like man this man need to be in the starting lineup or at least playing more minutes than what they're giving him. Okay, you giving him 25, 27 minutes, you got to bump that up to 30, 35. The last game, he played 31 minutes. That should have been 36, 37.
29:09Chad Johnson:And guess what? Guess what, Uncle Osho? We talking about a damn rookie that's 20 years ago.
29:16Shannon Sharpe:That's what you think of him, Joe. Having played the game as long as you played, played at the level in which you played, you think that much of that man's game, seeing him as a rookie, that you say, you know what? I think given an opportunity, he could be He could have a game similar to James Harden.
29:33Chad Johnson:No question. No question.
29:41Shannon Sharpe:I just hope to see him in the start lineup. I don't care. I don't care. Earn. He done earned him. I mean, if this ain't earned, if he played this year as a rookie and what he's done in the playoff didn't earn him the right to start, well, I don't know what he can do.
29:57Chad Johnson:Me neither. He'll be, hey, I'm telling y 'all, they're going to find a way. Him and Fox, they're going to be in the damn backcourt together. So what are we going to do with Castle? It's going to be Fox, Castle, and Harper. And Harper. So they're going to have three guards lined up. Yeah, yeah, they're going to have three guards. Because see, Castle and Harper, they play a lot bigger than they size. You know what I'm saying? They play like they about 6 '9". Hell, them boys play big. And then you'll probably keep the way Champinney shot the ball here. You always want a guy like that. But I like Vassell, too.
30:34Chad Johnson:I do, too. You got a good problem on your hand.
30:38Shannon Sharpe:It's going to be it. I don't know about a good problem because, hey, there's only so many shots to go around, Joe.
30:46Chad Johnson:Man, when I say good problem, think about some of the teams, hell, who come to every season thinking, man, we just want to be better this year and getting their eyes beat out every damn night. Man, please. Hey, you can kind of pick and choose what you want to do if you're saying, Antonio, you know, to stay on the right trajectory. You got a bunch of young guys. Your oldest guy in the starting lineup here was 25, and that's who? Vassell?
31:07Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Man, please. But it's going to be very interesting to see how they put this thing together. I think they're hungry. I think they got a sour taste in their mouth. They're like, bro, we led every single game by double digits, and we lost all these games except one. I'm talking about big leagues, too. Yeah, 29 points, 16 points, 13 points. And I think the thing is the inexperience really hurt them because they didn't have somebody to calm them down. I don't think their coach did them any favors. We can say I think two things can be true. I think the inexperience hurt them, not having someone to calm them down.
31:44Shannon Sharpe:And I don't think Mike Brown out-coached Mitch Johnson. That's not enough because here's a guy that's only been coaching basically a year and a half, if that. took over from Pop. Hey, Joe, you can't blame Coach. You can't blame Mr. Johnson. A little bit. The extension of the coach is on the court. It was a veteran in Fox. He's supposed to dictate play.
32:10Chad Johnson:I agree. When to speed it up. When to slow it down. Calm down. They constantly making mistakes back and forth.
32:19Shannon Sharpe:Don't let them go on a 20-4 run before you call a timeout. See, stuff like that. Yeah, I mean, Yeah, we can't blame the coach. We got to blame them people. No, no, no. Hey, but hey, what about the substitutions? What about the rotations? Yeah, you got to. Who's running the rotations?
32:33Chad Johnson:Yeah.
32:34Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Who keeps putting Luke Cornett in and every time you're in a negative?
32:41Chad Johnson:Yeah, I.
32:42Shannon Sharpe:Do you see what, what you call him being? He brought Landry Shaman in. Instead of Miles McBride being the first off the bench, Landry Shaman was the first off the bench.
32:51Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah.
32:53Shannon Sharpe:You see, when Kat got in trouble, Hey, Mitchell Robinson got foul trouble. He brought another guy in. And then he brought another big in. See, it's the game within the game. Yeah, I understand that. Look, once you get on the court, but you got to be able to like, you know what? Hey, I don't seen enough. Hey, this thing about to get out of here. Hey, let me go kick it. Hey, ain't nothing run. Let me take a timeout. Timeout.
33:14Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah. You got a look.
33:18Shannon Sharpe:Also, those threes that was falling in the first half, guys, they're not falling now. let's slack off of taking those threes they're young teams sometimes you have to coach a mocho put the ball on the floor get to the bro you shooting threes when normally we get to the bonus and six minutes to go in a quarter and we taking threes with 18-19 seconds on the shot clock for what? we're up 29 we're not down 29 trying to extend
33:48Chad Johnson:I remember playing boy when Pop was coaching Okay, Ocho, you go on a 4-0 run, his ass calling timeout. He going to burn out his damn timeout. He ain't. A-4-0, Joe. That man calling timeout, Ocho. You go on a 6-0 run to start the game, Papa call a timeout. Hell yeah. And take his whole five out. That man don't be playing, bro. So I just think when it comes to coaching, you do have to make adjustments. You look at Mike Brown. He was throwing shit at the wall, hoping it stick. He ain't no woman. He played Alvarado and Brunson together. Hell, he hadn't done that. He hadn't done that.
34:18Shannon Sharpe:They put Alvarado in there, Ocho. from the 29-point lead. Alvarado played major, major minutes. Yeah. That's coaching. Yeah. And that's that, hold on, Alvarado with that firecracker. He understand the value that Alvarado brings once you get on that court, Joe. But he all over the place like the Tasmanian game.
34:36Chad Johnson:The thing is, Ocho, he had never played him with Brunson because they make them have him so small in the backcourt. But hell, that came to be
34:44Shannon Sharpe:their best lineup. Yeah. Prime example. Look at what Steve Kerr did. He benched Andrew Bogut and inserted Andre Iguodala.
34:55Chad Johnson:Yeah.
34:56Shannon Sharpe:His starting center.
35:00Chad Johnson:Make him fast.
35:01Shannon Sharpe:One of my championships. And it's small ball. And guess what? Everybody tried to be small. Everybody tried to have a depth lineup. Yep.
35:10Chad Johnson:So he made some rookie mistakes as a coach, too.
35:13Shannon Sharpe:He absolutely did. The Lakers have been connected to both Mitchell Robinson and Robert Williams III per Jake Fisher. The Lakers have been linked to all sorts of veteran big men in the forthcoming free agent market as well. They could emerge as a suitor for the Knicks' Mitchell Robinson and the Trailblazers' Robert Williams III, although sources say both players are very open to remaining in their incumbent roles with the Knicks and the Blazers.
35:40Chad Johnson:Hey, that money talk and that BS walks 1 ,000 miles. You hear me? Yeah, yeah. I like Robert Williams and I like Mitchell Robinson. You know, both do dirty work that I think the Lakers will need if they want to contend in the Western Conference.
35:58Shannon Sharpe:But Mitchell Robinson in a starting role, Joe? I mean, think about what you bring him in and you're asking him to do. Not be a backup. Now you're going to ask him to play 30-plus minutes a night. Can he do that? Considering that he stays in foul trouble, Joe.
36:13Chad Johnson:It'll be an adjustment, but here. Hey, if I pay you enough, hey, I'm going to get you down here to L.A., put you to work real early for the season, start, get you right, get you in some great shape. You know what I mean? Hell, hell, you're going to have to shoot you about 500 to 1 ,000 free throws a day because it's going to be hard to play you if you shoot them 20%, 15 % from the free throw line. Damn. It ain't going to help, Joe. You got to, huh? You ain't no way. You can't.
36:40Shannon Sharpe:Okay, so if it's shooting 36%, you're going to get them to 40%.
36:44Chad Johnson:You cannot play nobody real minutes shooting free throws like that, bro. I know. It's going to be hard. Listen, he ain't going to be able to play a whole lot, especially when you really need him in the fourth quarter. You ain't going to be able to play nobody like that.
36:59Shannon Sharpe:Hacker Robinson.
37:00Chad Johnson:Hello. Hello. It's – I just don't know.
37:09Shannon Sharpe:I think Mitchell Robinson is great in his role. Joe, how many times have you seen guys be great in a role and all of a sudden now you want to up his role? Ocho, we see it all the time with receivers and running backs, quarterbacks. Ooh, boy, that Joe was slinging it. Ooh, boy, if he got his own team, I'd be a damn if he don't put his fans down on the field. Every time. You know, most times players, when they play a role, they're consistent because it's just the role. Now, you got to be the lead man, the lead character. That's an adjustment, bro. Hey, everybody. That's an adjustment. We talked about this, Joe.
37:51Shannon Sharpe:What's the greatest killer of career? Expectations. Expectations. Yeah. The expectation for Mitchell Robinson in New York would be vastly different than the expectations in L.A. Yeah.
38:04Chad Johnson:Yeah. You ain't got no pressure coming off that bitch in New York. You just got to bring energy and effort.
38:09Shannon Sharpe:get you to get three pounds, four points, and head on back to the bench. Oh, man, you did great. Good job. He high-fiving everybody. Yeah.
38:17Chad Johnson:You come to LA, four points,
38:19Shannon Sharpe:ain't going to get it. No, hell no. Because they're going to need him to be a lot. I mean, Luke is going to probably throw him four lobs a night.
38:29Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah.
38:32Shannon Sharpe:One thing I can say, he got better hands than Aiton. That's for damn sure. I was 89 and she had better hands than they could.
38:40Chad Johnson:Oh, man, come on. Come on, man. Look, defensively, it'll take the Lakers to another level, I think, defensively having that interior presence. But offensively, yeah, he a lob threat. But, damn, unless he really work on his game, Uncle Ocho, damn, it's going to be tough. I agree. Unless he just dominating defensively. I'm talking about 15 boards a night, four blocks a night, like some crazy Dennis Rodman type of stuff.
39:09Shannon Sharpe:He could do that, Joe, if he stays out of foul trouble. His problem is that he picks up so many ticky-tack fouls because he's not the latest afoot. So he's in awkward position. So he fouls a lot.
39:22Chad Johnson:Yeah. Hold on, he get him early too, Joe. Yeah. Too early. It's an adjustment now. Don't get me wrong, bro. I know what it's like.
39:32Shannon Sharpe:Robert Williams. Ooh, that injury, Joe. I mean, can I trust that, Joe?
39:36Chad Johnson:Well, he gave him some decent minutes in the postseason. He gave the Portland Trailblazers a decent minute in the postseason. And injury history, bro, that's always a gamble. It's always going to be a gamble. But if I'm the Lakers, hey, you're going to have to take that gamble on him, man. Listen, you cannot come back into this season thinking just because you got damn Jackson Hayes back there, that ain't going to get it, bro. No, no, no. You're going to have to come about two more big.
40:02Shannon Sharpe:Jackson Hayes is great in his role. Oh, yeah. He's going to give you great energy for about 20 minutes a night. He's going to block some shots. He's going to run the floor. He is what he is. That's what I love about Jackson Hayes. He is what he is. He ain't taking no shots. He's going to run. You ain't really got to run no plays for him. He's just a live threat. He's going to pick, roll to the basket, flush it down. He'll get offensive rebounds. He'll get putbacks. I love that, knowing who and what I am.
40:26Chad Johnson:Yeah. Got to know it.
40:28Shannon Sharpe:And I don't need to have to tell you. Don't you hate? You got a nice looking girl. I mean, she fine. But I got to come up with get my pom-poms. I ain't got no... But anyway, I got to tell her every day. Girl, you know you bad. Girl, you fine. Hey, you know that.
40:53Shannon Sharpe:You sitting on the dump. You got 450 to 510 CC. You straight.
41:00Chad Johnson:Hello. Hello.
41:02Shannon Sharpe:You straight.
41:03Chad Johnson:Yeah.
41:04Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Baby, how this look on me? Girl, you look good in a paper bag. Hell, throw a pillowcase around your waist. Take this towel and go out. You like that. I ain't got to hype you up. I got to hype you up all the time?
41:25Chad Johnson:Right, right. You know what they call it? That's their love language. You heard me? They say that's their love language, Uncle Joe. Some of them. You're right, Uncle Joe. Words of affirmation. Words of affirmation. If I got to constantly tell you the same thing over and over, you already know it. Something wrong with you.
41:48Shannon Sharpe:I mean, you, come on now. You know. You are.
41:51Chad Johnson:Hello.
41:53Shannon Sharpe:Look in the mirror.
41:54Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, hey. Bad in the two, yo. You hear me? yeah
41:58Shannon Sharpe:you don't stack like dirty laundry in the dorm room you know you're in the dorm laundry
42:07Shannon Sharpe:man hey you have people coming over you have people you shoving it in the closet you don't want nobody to see it you walking around like two volleyballs cutting half in the back just bouncing in the sundress man please
42:26but okay
42:27Shannon Sharpe:I mean Joe you like that trade so they say go ahead Joe chance they bring AD back the LA so LA hold on AD Reeves Luca who you five
42:47Chad Johnson:hell if I know old Joe he gonna have to you know AD gonna have to go back to the phone You want to play the four.
42:54Shannon Sharpe:AD like playing the four because if you look at AD's last season in L.A. is when they had JaVale McGee and they had Dwight Howard playing the five and he was always at the four. And then the last five minutes of the game, he slide to the five.
43:05Chad Johnson:Because you know why, right? Yeah. Y 'all know why. Because AD, he don't really want to have to do all that damn dirty.
43:10Shannon Sharpe:I don't want to do all that guy dang old banging. AD, best years in New Orleans, they had Boogie at the five. They had AD at the four.
43:20Chad Johnson:Yeah.
43:21Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
43:22Chad Johnson:Yeah.
43:23Shannon Sharpe:that's what that's where he's at his best now last five minutes of the game last six seven minutes of the game you want to slide him to the five that's a whole different that's a whole different story yeah but primarily he wants to be the four yeah nightcap big three is happy to be partnered with the big three we'll keep you up in the league all season long well it'll be the number one destination for all game recaps copenhagen spit-free pouches are packed full of American-grown tobacco. Today we're diving into a fascinating conversation with Stefano Pallard, head of fan development for Scuderia Ferrari HP.
45:59Your pronunciation is strongly American.

47:59Shannon Sharpe:And analysis all summer long. The Big Three, Season 9, Four Games, NLA, and Intuit Dome. The night had everything. Close game, big scoring performances, injuries, ejections, and a forfeit including the first time in Big 3 history a game didn't fully finish. The L.A. Riot defeated defending champs Miami 305 after Miami had to forfeit. Dwight Howard and Michael Beasley got into multiple scuffles. Beasley was ejected. Lance Stevenson was later ejected after throwing a punch. Miami has already been without Reggie Evans due to injuries, so the ejections, they didn't have enough players to finish. Lance Stevenson and Michael Beasley, they were suspended, one game each for their actions during and after Saturday's game between the Miami 305 and the LA Riot.
48:46Shannon Sharpe:After reviewing the incident, the league determined that their conduct fell short of the standard of professionalism, respect, and sportsmanship expected of all big three players. Competition drives our league. We embrace physical play and welcome trash talk. However, fighting of any kind will not be tolerated. Protecting the integrity of the game and the safety of everyone all around the court remains the top priority. Both players have been notified of their suspension terms to ensure Miami 305 can field a requirement minimum for active roster players. Mr. Stevenson will serve his suspension in week two, and Mr.
49:21Shannon Sharpe:Beasley will serve his suspension in week three of the Big Three season. Big three. Hey, them boys were going at it, huh?
49:29Chad Johnson:Ocho, Ocho. What's up? Ocho, kudos to the Big Three. You know, you don't want to see it come to suspensions, But when you a damn repeat offender, bro, you know, this same thing happened last season, bro. It spilled over into the stands. You know what I mean? This year, because of, you know, the fireworks that's going to come with these two teams playing against each other, they had security there. But still, it don't mean nothing, bro. Like, we always talk about, you can't have the damn animals running the zoo now. You know? Hey, I like that, Joe.
50:07Shannon Sharpe:So that's a good line right there, Joe. But you know what that is, Joe? What? Beasley think he can punk Dwight Howard.
50:13Chad Johnson:Yeah.
50:14Shannon Sharpe:Oh, he going to try.
50:14Chad Johnson:That's what that is. He going to try. Yes. He going to try. Dwight. And, you know, Dwight just physically opposing, bro. Yes. I'm going to keep it real. Playing in three on three, like, if you guarding him, you better have some damn pads on your ribs and you can't, you know what I mean? Because he throwing them elbows and all that. And, you know, Beasley and Lance, damn, man, you know, they looking for the BS to throw in the game. They throw the BS in the game, getting touching the WWE out there. We ain't even – this ain't even basketball no damn more. So, you know, honestly, I think the suspensions were warning, man, because when every time these two teams link up and they wrestling and fighting and throwing punches, come on, man, we like the competition.
51:01Chad Johnson:We like the back and forth, the rah-rahs and all that. But damn, when it gets to the point to where it ain't even basketball no more, what are we doing, bro? Somebody just finna get hurt out here. That's it. Yeah, you right. You have to keep some level of refreshment in a minute. But obviously, you know, when those two play, when Lance Stevenson and them boys get on the court, man, people want to see that. People want to tune in. People want to watch. Not for the shenanigans, but the unpredictability. You never know what's going to happen. The antics. They know it's going to be antics, Unc and Ocho.
51:33Chad Johnson:That's why these people. Listen, I'm like, damn, I'm sitting there watching the game, you know, and, you know, it's competitive because these are two of probably the best teams that's going to be in the league this year. Talent-wise, there's not many that can really stack up against them. But, man, when you had it, when you have it going down like this and we can't watch a good competitive game, yeah, man, you got to take Madison in your own hand. Shout out to Cube now, bro.
51:58Shannon Sharpe:I don't think he had a choice, Joe.
52:00Chad Johnson:He didn't. He didn't. Hey, listen. Listen, people were voicing and asking for this last season when they played the first game and they started tussling and all that. People were saying, man, you got to start suspending these guys because if you don't, they're going to continue to do it because they know there's no repercussions behind it. You feel me? Right. So now the same damn thing happened this year. You're right, Unc. You have no choice. You have no choice.
52:25Shannon Sharpe:Look, they got the tussling, and each time it goes a little further. It escalates a little more. And I mean, you don't want people to just be all out there swinging. So I think Q's like, look, guys, we want you to play physical. It's a physical game. It's three on three. It ain't no full court. You right there. The court's only so big. Yeah. Right. But we got to have a level of decorum. We got to have a level of sportsmanship. We got to have a level of professionalism. because at the end of the day,
53:03Chad Johnson:sponsors don't want to see that. Ocho, this national televised on CBS. Yes. Bro, this ain't like this. It ain't like, you know, they playing on some local channel where it ain't but a few thousand people. Bro, they on CBS, national stage. You know what I mean, man? Them people don't want to see that. Nah. And, you know, Q worked too hard to even get it to this point. To grow the victory, to have it as big as it is. Everybody wanting to watch it. going from state to state, city to city, to have them out there acting a fool. Yeah, and we're still trying to grow the league, bro. We're trying to take it to new heights.
53:37Chad Johnson:And it's like, damn, if I'm a viewer and I'm watching, I'm looking at the product y 'all got out there on the floor, I'm thinking to myself, well, damn, is this what I want to watch every weekend?
53:47Shannon Sharpe:Why you think David Stern? The league didn't take off until David Stern cleaned up all that fighting. Go ahead, y 'all keep fighting. I got something for you.
53:58Shannon Sharpe:70s was a free it was anything going to 70s anything early 80s Dave Sturgeon said man later for this how are we supposed to have people and now because at least it was tape delayed a lot of people didn't get an opportunity to see it now this thing live and y 'all behaving in this manner 5 games 10 games 15 20 games 30 games 40 games yeah 3 million 5 million 10 million 15 million Yeah, yeah. All of a sudden, you know guys don't want to bite no more. You know, that's the one thing, Joe. They know how to, listen, we paying you millions of dollars, right? We know how to control you. We know how to control you.
54:36We're going to take what we think you value most. We coming to get that money. That'll keep your ass in line.
54:43Chad Johnson:Listen, in the NFL, I know they got fine money. In the NBA, man, I wonder how much of the fine. When I was playing in Brooklyn, I think they said the fine money that they had accumulated over the years was at almost 60, 70 million, something like that. Something crazy.
55:01Shannon Sharpe:And where it went, Joe? Where it go?
55:02Chad Johnson:I don't know, but I bet they're back.
55:03Shannon Sharpe:They give the money to charity and NFL. Joe, you got to realize, you got every game. Think about it. There's a game every week, and there's multiple players getting fined every single week. Yeah. Yeah. Big dollars. socks or illegal tackle, illegal block in the back, something. Every single week from the preseason all the way through, ain't no telling. Right. And, you know, they say, NFL says they give it to, you know, cancer research or Vince Lombardi research. I don't know.
55:41Chad Johnson:Right. Right. Hey, that's a lot of money just to be sitting there. hey pull the numbers on that
55:49Shannon Sharpe:I guarantee it's in somebody's pocket I mean I think you can find it I think they got like 7-8 charities that they list I'm just saying what they say Ocho don't start me to lie and I wouldn't know for sure DMV Trilogy look like they may be on the bounce back Joe they defeat Detroit Amps 51-46 James Johnson in his inaugural Big 3 debut has 17 points Earl Clark also has 17 Good bounce back tone that the Trilogy had a down 2025 season.
56:19Chad Johnson:Nah, yeah. Hey, shout out to Steven Jackson. Let me tell y 'all something. One thing about Stack Jack, he going to go out there and get him some life-sized guys, and he going to get him some dogs. He going to go get some boys he going to go in the foxhole with. You know what I mean? That he know when push come to shove, 305 come out there with all that with Trilogy.
56:39Shannon Sharpe:They ain't coming out there with James Johnson out there. Ain't nobody doing none of that. Hello, that's what I'm trying to tell you. That's what I'm trying to tell you.
56:46Chad Johnson:That's what I'm trying to tell you. Stack Jack, no. He's like, look, I'm going to recruit me a dog or two. Boy, because, hey, I'm going to tell you, playing in the big three, bro, it's so physical. Bro, you got to have guys like that. And if they can score and be that dog, oh, man, you got you a goldmine. You know, everybody ain't going to be no ISO. It ain't but one ISO. You know what I'm talking about? No, no, no, no. I was just saying it ain't but one ISO. So, hey, the six years I'd have played in the big three, three years I've been MVP, I had won one - Hold on, Joe.
57:17Shannon Sharpe:Hey, you done been three MVPs three times?
57:19Chad Johnson:Yeah, the only three-time MVP. But that's a story for another day. We ain't got to talk about that. So there's going to be a four-time MVP? I was going to win MVP last year with that 30 I kept in my back pocket. You hear me? Before them boys. Joe, you kept 30? Before them boys hurt me them first two games, I had 30 in my back pocket every night. I was going to win. Yeah. I'm going to run away with all this.
57:39Shannon Sharpe:So you just long, you been there, you going to be the MVP every year.
57:43Chad Johnson:Listen, them boys can't have no fun unless I ain't playing. I got to be sitting on here with y 'all. I got to be sitting there hanging out with y 'all. You know what I mean? If it wasn't for that, I'm going to have 30 in my back pocket. Okay, Ocho. That's just how I'm coming to the game, man. You know what I mean? Hey, I got, hey, hey, hey. Well, we got to get you up.
58:00Shannon Sharpe:I mean, Ocho and I might have to come out there and train you to get that leg back right. Hey, hey. Hey, Joe, I get your leg back right. Come on down here with your boy, man. I get you back. It's getting right.
58:08Chad Johnson:It's a slow process. It's okay. Ain't no rush. Well, that's you. Nah, but I, hey, Joe, I want to see you play. I want to see you. I want to see you play. I had, hey, I had that thing. I'm going to be right. Don't worry, Ocho. Don't worry. So you're not, hey, you think you're coming back this season at all? Nah, I probably, because my doctor told me, he said around September is when I'll be feeling probably like 100, like I really want to play. That's the end of the season. Season ain't but three months here. September, the playoffs will be starting. You know what I mean? Hey, Joe, You know what?
58:38Chad Johnson:I don't like your doctor. Why you don't like him? I don't like his assessment on when you'll be back. He got the best interest for me, Ocho. You ain't got to like him. I got the best interest in you. I want you on the court. No, you don't. You ain't got my best interest right now. You ain't got my best interest. My doctor got my best interest. I do. Yeah, the faster you get healthy, the faster I get to whoop your ass. The Hawks team, Doc, they did your surgery, Joe? Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Oh, you had surgery, Joe? Oh, man, where that man been at, Ocho?
59:08Shannon Sharpe:Hey, you ain't telling me they had to cut you off with Joe.
59:10Chad Johnson:Man, I told my...
59:11Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, you got to reattach your patellas. Oh, man. Oh, man, Joe, I could have did that for you.
59:17Chad Johnson:What do you mean you could have done it? Why, Joe? Well, you know I was a little surgeon back in the day, Joe. Nah, I'm cool. Nah, Joe, listen, I done did a butt lift. You know, I done put some CCs in the chest. I see, and they picking up people who doing that in their house, too. Now, I'm doing... Joe lives. Hey, Joe, hey, I do it right here in the basement. as a procedure. It ain't, it ain't, cause I ain't had no complaints yet. Okay. Okay. All the, all the people still alive. Yeah. Look at you, boy, you don't see my work. My work be right on my hip. Oh, okay. Okay. Yeah. I, I did all that. That's my work.
59:53Huh? You think I, you think I'm gonna pay for that? All right. Hey, Joe. Hey, honestly, Joe, I can say it publicly now. I done did about three, four factors. That's, that's been, that's been the big thing going around now, huh? Yeah. you know it is natural you know you slap and you still get that same way so they still feel
1:00:11Chad Johnson:like it's there you know what I mean versus yeah yeah yeah most definitely most definitely and you know I kind of messed up too because somewhat I thought it was an investment for me but it's more of an investment for them you know what you call it fattening a frog for what? fattening a frog for another snake D? hey fattening a frog for another snake D? I the goddamn snake got my goddamn frog huh? hey hey Joe hey but you know hey Joe it is I get it.
1:00:38Shannon Sharpe:Hey, I get it. This man said he done did a fast transfer. He done put some CCs in there. You go on top of the muscle or you go under the muscle, Ocho? I go under. I do it professionally. I do it right at the bottom so you can't see it. Right up under the knee. You might go through the armpit. Yeah, I could do that, but that's the YouTube video I watched. They didn't do it that way. They did it from the bottom. Okay, yeah. You got to make sure they write one ain't hiding the other and they separate it just right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I get it right.
1:01:15Chad Johnson:I get it right. Yeah, yeah. You got to hide the... Hey, hey, hey. Because when they did... When they fixed my orbital bone, they went up through my lip. Right. You know what I mean? Absolutely.
1:01:22Shannon Sharpe:Going through... Yeah. God damn, Joe.
1:01:24Chad Johnson:Yeah, so they don't leave no scar on your face.
1:01:27Shannon Sharpe:Mm-hmm. Ooh.
1:01:29Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:01:30Shannon Sharpe:I had the same thing.
1:01:31Chad Johnson:Damn, through your lip? Yeah, yeah. 18 screws in three plates, Ocho. Still in there. Hey, Joe, you still want to fight me and you got that? Hey, that's how I tell you. We're stronger than the other side. I know, but what happens when I knock it loose? You ain't going to touch me, bro. I already told you. Hey, you RoboCop. I'm going to knock that shit loose, boy. You going to be asleep. You going to be asleep by the time you get up in there.
1:01:58Shannon Sharpe:The Chicago Triplets beat the Houston Rigs. Hands, 51-47. Amir Johnson had the performance of the night. 26 points. Chicago was shorthanded with Montrezl Harrell and Leandro Barbosa out with injured. The triplets played only three players and still won.
1:02:16Chad Johnson:Yeah, triplets got a nice squad. When you got guys who've been playing in the big three for over five, six years, bro, they know the type of shape they have to be in. They know the physicality to bring. So the triplets going to be there when it comes to, like, making the playoffs and being there at the end. They was in the championship game last season and ended up losing. But they got some good players, bro. They got guys who play hard, they unselfish, and they play the right way. At the end of the day, when you're playing the game of hoops, bro, you want guys who can make other guys better, who going to play the right way because we all out here playing hard.
1:02:54Chad Johnson:We all want to win. You know what I mean? And when you got guys out there being selfish and ain't passing the rock, ain't playing the right way. It's hard playing with cats like that, bro.
1:03:06Shannon Sharpe:The Dallas Power beat the Boston Ballhawks 51-43, the biggest win margin of the week. Elijah Stewart led Dallas with 17. Greg Monroe added 14. The Dallas looked balanced and physical. You like Dallas, Joe?
1:03:20Chad Johnson:Yeah, I like Dallas, bro. Greg Monroe a low. You got young Glenn Rice. He got plenty of game. And I like Elijah. Elijah, number 44 out there. High energy. Played the right way to win the championship in the big three. So they got guys who hungry and want to prove, you know, prove the league wrong. You know, people have been counting power out for quite some time. But they've been able to make adjustments and add different players, you know, to their team. And they got Nancy Lieberman. That's my girl, bro. She do a hell of a job. Super, super cool individual. I love her. I love her squad. They take on her demeanor, too.
1:04:02Chad Johnson:I don't know. You know, Unc, I know you probably seen her play when she was coming up. I know Ocho ain't seen her play. But she fiery. I'm talking about she still talking a lot of mess right now to this day. I think she had a trial for the NBA. She did. She played with them back. Yeah. Yeah.
1:04:19Shannon Sharpe:He had some game, boy. Oh, yeah. She can have them to rock. Oh, yeah. Tune in for Nightcap all season long for our Big 3 game recaps from the Big 3. Our Big Three got you covered for that Big Three.
