In short

The hosts discuss NBA contract strategy and team-building, centered on Jalen Brunson’s Knicks extension and whether stars should take less money to win titles. They also touch on youth basketball role expectations (Devin Vassell/Dylan Harper mention) and a brief aside about Angel Reese and an “Izzy” scuffle.

Guests

No clear named guests appear in the provided transcript. The episode is presented as a conversation between the two hosts (referred to as “Ocho” and “Joe”), plus a referenced interview clip about Brunson with Malika Andrews.

Guest backgrounds (referenced)

Jalen Brunson (NBA point guard, Dallas/Knicks) is discussed via his comments to Malika Andrews (NBC Sports/ESPN reporter). No other guest identities are confirmed.

Key claims

Brunson “left $113M on the table” by signing a 4-year, $156M Knicks extension in 2024, enabling the Knicks to add talent around him. The hosts argue this is a rare “blueprint” for stars to prioritize championships over maximizing salary, though they doubt it’s widely repeatable.

Notable examples

Knicks roster-building around Brunson; comparison to Steph’s earlier lower contract; Boston’s Jaylen Brown/Jayson Tatum; mention of OG re-signing and adding players like “Care Bridges” (likely a roster example).

3:16We'll be right back. to customers, see if it's an option during checkout.

3:19Shannon Sharpe:You know, the thing is, man, I was just like, you know how you win. It's a long story, but anyway, I should've went to that, the Floyd Mayweather, the Floyd Mayweather Conor McGregor. Right. Could've went to that fight.

3:33Chad Johnson:What you been doing?

3:33Shannon Sharpe:Go home, try to be a good boyfriend, break up the same day. Aw, man, get out of here. Wait, the same day? Same day. What you did wrong, huh? I ain't do nothing. It was all, it was in the making. Okay. It was in the making. Well, if you knew it was in the making, you should have went on and went to the fight. I know. Fox had paid for the hotel. That's you want to stay, you got tickets to the fight. Yeah. Now, you know, hey, back then, you know, I didn't, there are a lot of times when you're in a relationship and you know, you care about somebody, you do a lot of things that you, like I have a gig that was going to pay me X amount of money.

4:10Shannon Sharpe:Right. Cause. Right, right. Oh, hell, you don't let nobody get in the way of your money on? Yeah, man. Oh, what you doing? For me, Ocho, do I like money? Yeah. But I like my relationship. No, no, that does not come first. No, but we not going to do that. Listen, we're going to have clubs. I'm going to talk to you. So he tripping. don't nothing come before that money on because in order to have relationship you got to have your money but she got done she got to understand work come first any gig you get because every the time we wasn't getting no gigs you right about that we was in that city house and had to use the bathroom yeah in the woods yeah yeah uh you don't let you don't pass up for no money absolutely not i i know you love her i know how you feel you know you know you're wide open I know.

5:11Shannon Sharpe:See, the problem is with me, Ocho, when I love, I love hard. Yeah, yeah. Okay. See, ain't no, you know, when I love, I love hard. When I'm with you, I'm with you, with you. Yeah, well, one thing about it, I know you love him, I know you do, but you gotta keep the main thing the main thing at all times, no matter how much you in love. Work comes first. But you know what, Ocho, the thing, because money was never really the motivating factor, and it still doesn't motivate me. Yeah, I understand. and that's just you know and I think that's you know growing up like I grew up and not having a whole lot of money and being able to make some money now I'm good but money doesn't move me it don't move me either because I don't spend it but I know one thing regardless of what I have going on when it calls that's the old

6:05Chad Johnson:it's the new This is a new onk now, this is a new onk. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

6:08Shannon Sharpe:Oh yeah, back in the day? Right. Man, I stayed somewhere for$5.

6:17Shannon Sharpe:Hey, we ain't got nobody, but all we got is room and a first class ticket. That's good enough for me, I'm staying.

6:23Chad Johnson:Right, right, right.

6:26Shannon Sharpe:But look, all I need to do is make sure my sister, my mom, my brother, and the kids straight. I'm good. That's all I need. It don't take much. Because like I said, I don't have do I like, I mean, I'm okay. I don't need a new car every year. I don't need any more jewelry. Long as I got enough, hey. I call my people and say, hey, look. This is what it takes. Hey, this is what your monthly income is. This is what goes out. This is how much you can, hey. Taxes is this. It's okay. Yeah. I'm good. I'm good.

7:07Chad Johnson:What's happening? Hey Joe, you ever seen a beehive with no honey? Nah, nah, nah. So when the honey of the beehive, all the bees there, huh? Hello, hello. Yeah. Well, hey, hey, I need you to understand, boy. The honey is your money.

7:20Shannon Sharpe:Hello, hello. If you ain't got no honey, you ain't gonna get no goddamn bee. Talk to her, Ocho. Huh? But you know what, Ocho? The thing was, Ocho, for such a long time, I had that philosophy and I would just go, go, go. and it's like you always you do all this do all this for that but then when I want you to do something you always tired I say you know what and like I said it was a blessing in disguise because had I not I'm not here I'm not going to do this because I never would have branched out I never would have did anything see God knew I wasn't going to leave that relationship I wasn't going to leave it he said you know what I tell you what I'm going to do I'm going to make her leave you ain't got no choice it's just like there are certain situations you're not going to leave God is showing you sign after sign after sign after sign and you won't leave and guess what I'm going to close the door and you can't get in you ain't got no choice but to go somewhere I see one sign I can see the exit

8:28Chad Johnson:Hey, but that's one of the hardest parts though, when you're a professional athlete and you come home, you just wanna relax, chill, and she wanna go somewhere, she ready to do something soon. Man, I just got out of two, three hour prank, cause I'm dead dog tired. Yup. Yeah, I don't really wanna do nothing.

8:47Shannon Sharpe:Boy, that'll cause, but I've been very fortunate is that like when I played like Friday was the day I could do something. So don't be asking me no Monday, no Tuesday, no Wednesday, no Thursday. Friday was the night. If we had a Monday night game, I could do something Saturday. Because obviously, you know, Saturday was a Friday for us. You know what I'm saying? Okay, cool. I could do that. But this notion of, oh, such and such got this going on during the week, we're not going. You know what my schedules entail. But you know what, Ocho, and Joe, it took all of that. I mean, you know, the highs, and I've had the highs of great relationships.

9:31Shannon Sharpe:I had some bad ones that ended badly. I don't really harbor any bad feelings because it takes all that. Because I ain't finna tell nobody I was great all the time because I wasn't. I wasn't. And, you know, even my co-parents, you know, we had our disagreements. and it took much later for us to realize it's us versus whatever problem it is. I don't dislike you. You shouldn't dislike me. Let's do the best job we possibly can to rear great kids. And I think we've done a great job of that. They know they can call me and whatever it is, all of them been married. I ain't got, hey, they call, I need to know what the problem is because you acting up with them in front of my kids.

10:18Shannon Sharpe:My kids don't need to see that.

10:23Shannon Sharpe:So they know, they all can pick up the phone and call me. I got it, they can get it.

10:28Chad Johnson:Hey, but it takes, boy, hey. Oh, I had to grow into this. It takes some work to get to that point.

10:34Shannon Sharpe:A bad look here. Before, hey, what you need? What you need to get her? To get her, I'm gonna help you get her.

10:45Shannon Sharpe:Man, I had to grow until this Shannon Sharp that y 'all see today. Yeah. For they can call. You know, for the most part, I've had a pretty good relationship. Once we realize, you know, there are a lot of emotions involved. I'm who I am. I'm doing what I'm doing. Yeah. And then you come to the realization, it's like, you know what, look. we co-parents you don't have to dislike me I don't mean I'm not going to harm you I'm going to do whatever you need something I got you yeah like wait to an extent to an extent I got you now hold on hold on I got you now I ain't finna take care of you I ain't finna help you and somebody else okay okay okay okay because listen you know sometimes they take advantage of you simply knowing because I got you.

11:41You take advantage of me now.

11:44Shannon Sharpe:You're leaving. You're going on your own. I got you. Wherever you're going, I got you. But I ain't finna take care of you and no big Russell. Hell no. Absolutely not. Bad lead. And one thing I have to say is obviously I don't have no problems on my end. The co-parent has worked for a very long time. I haven't really had any problems like that. But the one thing, you got to be doing something. You got to be doing something. I got to be helping you get aligned with whatever it is you're trying to do. If you're doing nothing and you're just sitting there chilling and ain't trying to do nothing, I ain't got nothing for you.

12:22I ain't got nothing for you.

12:23Chad Johnson:I don't take care of no grown people. No, no, no, no, no. That's not happening. I know exactly what you mean, boy. We.

12:32Shannon Sharpe:Absolutely not. Yeah, and I don't like the expectations. Like I said, hey, you need it. Hey, the kids need something. I got you. I got it. Because that's what I'm working for. I mean, what am I doing all this hard work for if I can't help the kids? But come on now. All this, you know, $2 ,500 daycare a month. Come on now. Come on. $2 ,500. Yeah, back then. What kind of daycare it was? Tell me about it. Man, look here. Like I said, and people like, I said, bro, all my kids, they left college, ain't have no debt, and had a car. They went to private school. I mean, two of them went to private school from Head Start all the way through.

13:21Shannon Sharpe:All the way through. Come on now. Hey, three of mine out of college with no debt either. Joe, I got five. All three of mine out. I got five.

13:31Chad Johnson:And boy, y 'all got some grown ass kids. Yeah. man hey joe i'm a granddad man i got grandkids joe i start early i got it i got a grandkid too huh do you yeah let's see they gotta fight which once hey i wish my son would at 19 time by he boy please me and me and they're gonna be fighting i know i already told you huh yeah well you know how you was at 19 joe sometimes you slip up now hey oh joe yeah i may have rolled the dice a time or two okay yes but i knew i knew for sure if i could barely take care of myself you think boy please oh no sir well you know you know you know you ain't thinking you know kid ain't that 19 you don't like that hey hey my daddy my daddy got me but when i was you you right about that oh cho because i a 19 joe what's your well yeah you you not thinking like that but If it do happen, you got him, Joe, you got him.

14:33Chad Johnson:Nah, old Joe, he don't need to think that. He damn sure don't need to think that. No, sir. Hey. No, sir.

14:42Shannon Sharpe:Like my homeboy, mom and dad told him, you F for that one. We F for you. You F for that one. You take care of him. Hey. Them damn kids expensive, boy. Hey, I'm finna use that line. Yeah. Who you, boy, please. absolutely but you know but that's that is the thing that really kept me focused is that because I think the thing is Ocho and Joe you know this everybody's not happy for your success and I know there are people he ain't gonna do this he ain't gonna do that bro I know my grandmother was disappointed because I had kids the way I had kids All the things, if I could do it over, I'd have all my kids, but one woman.

15:33Shannon Sharpe:I could, but I can't go back in time, I can't do that. Me and their mom, we were both young, we did the best we could, and I think we raised some pretty good kids. But to know that people wanted to see me fail was enough to let me stand up and never fall. There were times that I was bent, but I was broken.

15:56Chad Johnson:Right, right.

15:59I said, Brian, man, to go through what you go through for 20 years, this will...

17:47Shannon Sharpe:Nah, I used to, though. They got to get that starter apartment. Yeah.

17:51Chad Johnson:Yeah. Hey.

17:53Shannon Sharpe:I mean, I think my first apartment, I lived in Mill Pond off Isleth. If you're from Denver, you know Isleth. I lived in a place called Mill Pond. I think the red was way back there because they were really, really nice apartments. I think I paid like $500 a month. What? $500 a month. I rented that, so I played 12, 15 months, and I paid for myself to go back to school.

Yeah. Remember that? Man, my brother called and said, man, hey, bro. I said, man, time's hard, bro. I said, man. He said, man, what's going on? I said, man, Spank. You know, hey, I got to pay. I had to pay. I think school, for the classes I had to take, I think I paid like 12. I think I paid like 12, maybe 12,$1 ,300 a quarter.

23:18Shannon Sharpe:I didn't get the meal plan, but Miss Pat, who was in charge of the cafeteria, she let me come in to eat free.

23:27Shannon Sharpe:Insurance, rent. Dang. Man. I said, man, I'm going to. He said, bro, what you need? I said, man, I'm going to need. I probably gonna need about 10. I said, all right. He said, all right. I said, man, I got the, man, I said, I can't live like this. I said, man, I said, that's my brother. I understand, I said, but I can't be doing it.

23:54Chad Johnson:You made work hard though.

23:55Shannon Sharpe:And when I went back to Denver, a buddy of mine, he got drafted with me. He's still living in Denver. He gonna tell the story of what I told everybody when I made the team. I would let him tell the story. He going to tell the story. I said, Lilo, tell her what I told you when I first got here. He going to tell the story. You'll see it all because I sat down with a lot of guys. Jordan, you got that, right? Yeah. Oh, yeah. And then that was it. Once I – but me and my brother was always close. We've always been. If I had, he had. If he had, I had. Because there was never a doubt in my mind. We were going to make it.

24:35Shannon Sharpe:but if for some unforeseen reason one of us didn't we both made it we both made it because I remember when I got the call for the hall I said man hey we in he said man we in I said bro we in but man look here them kids Ocho were you in love man I had to change Ocho and I said you know what I made this age man I just boop boop boop but you know what I didn't miss anything God put it the way it happened the way it was supposed to happen not before not after it happened the way it was supposed to happen I look at it obviously you're not supposed to look at it like that but you know when you meet individuals you know at times I always thought about it my grandfather always told me meet people it's on borrowed time it's on borrowed time I really never understood what that meant he said you'll get it earlier based on how you feel about people it's always beautiful in the beginning the dopamine the excitement the butterflies the nervous when you first meet somebody but you never see their true colors until things don't go wrong until things don't go right until you have to say I'm going to give you a little piece of advice and you say you know what you told me this

25:59Shannon Sharpe:there are no permanent friends just permanent interests

26:04Chad Johnson:oh I believe that

26:09everybody there for a reason

26:10Chad Johnson:okay yeah I believe that everybody's there for a reason now figuring out what that reason is sometimes it's genuine even if it isn't genuine you're still there for a reason

26:25Shannon Sharpe:and sometimes it's too late for you to realize it Because a lot of times, if you're doing a situation, if that's not how you move, it's hard for you to determine how somebody else moving. See, like when we play sports, we know when somebody's bull jiving. We know somebody ain't doing what they're supposed to be doing. Because we're in that field. But if somebody's trying to run something, it's like, damn. Because you don't move like that. And so when you don't move like that, or you're not used to moving like that, But for me, like I said, all this, everything, I've been bad off. I've had health.

27:09I've had not money, but I've had my health and I've had love for my family.

27:15Shannon Sharpe:Yes, sir. And I've been to the mountaintop.

27:21If I had to start all over again, as long as I got my health, I can do it.

27:28Shannon Sharpe:I could do it. Ain't no doubt in my mind.

27:33Shannon Sharpe:But my family is everything to me. All this stuff, all this, the cars, all that, the fame, everything. They had that. They had that. Take all that. As long as I got my family, I got my – they know anytime something good happened to me, everybody get blessed. My homeboys, Bucket Burns, my sister, my brother, my mom, everybody. that's just because what what am i doing this for do i need another house i got two do i need another i got three what what do i need more of let them benefit that's that's how i look at that's how i am it's hard and i know that's how my grandma would want me to be now i'm saying it's hard because you know like for me i can ocho you know i felt like i'd done everything i could

28:25Chad Johnson:as far as for my mother and my grandmother. And I think, you know, to some degree, my success, you know, I tell you, man, growing up, my mom worked two, three jobs. Bro, there was plenty of times during the week, school nights, junior high, high school. I ain't see her because she, you know, she worked graveyard shifts. She's working. It was easy for me to skip school. All I had to do was stay in the damn bed. You know what I mean? But I just think me going pro, me going pro and retiring my mother, you know like she wasn't an active woman you know what i mean like she ain't like to work out she wasn't she wasn't none of that she was just happy about a nice career bro and she just enjoyed she enjoyed herself over the past 20 some plus years you know what i mean and uh i don't know for some reason you know i felt like my success kind of you know hindered her to a degree to where she didn't have to do nothing you know what i mean so she just kind of just laid around chill you know You know how she redone her house every three years, Uncle Ocho, got new furniture, you know how it go.

29:29Chad Johnson:You know what I mean? Yeah. I mean, that was it for me, bro. As long as I took care of her and my grandma, everything else, hey man, y 'all got to figure it out. Hey, man, because every time I told my mom,

29:44Shannon Sharpe:I think I was about 12 or 13 that I was gonna buy a Mercedes and I bought a Mercedes and she drove that car. I bought my mom that car in 1999. My mom drove that car until 2024. Had 70 ,000 miles on it. Then she talked about, she got up here and talked about, well, I'm going to take it up here. And she wanted to like, the people, I was like, well, mama, I think it needs this.

30:10Shannon Sharpe:So she wanted to, she's like, I said, well, just have the people come tow it. Have the people come tow it and see what they, and take it up there. and we go, you know, has Shelly, has Shelly. I say, Shelly, buy a mama car. You know what? It cost me more to have that damn car told to the dealership than what they gave my mama for the car. Dang.

30:37Shannon Sharpe:She went out, she picked the, she bought his car. It was blue, got, got, I think it got peanut butter interior. This the car she wanted. She got the car. Call me every day. I said, mama, you ain't got to call me every day. Send me a picture. Look at my baby. She texts me. She don't know how to text now, guys. Text. Mama. Okay, I'm happy for you, mama. But you ain't got to send me a picture every day of this car. Hey. Ooh, look at my baby. Look at my baby. Ooh, ain't my baby clean? I took my baby up the other day. She got. Hey. You ought to come up here and drive my baby. I said, I'm not to. if you think if you think i'm going to go over 15 states to get to chicago to drive a mercedes

31:28Chad Johnson:you watch your mind it's nothing better than that though bro but that was the whole thing

31:33Shannon Sharpe:that's why you did it your mom and your grandma you saw how you grew up you know they gave everything they possibly could to make sure you have it wasn't much yeah but see here's the thing There's the difference. When people are like, man, Shannon, me giving you something ain't the same as what your mom or your grandma or your grandma or your grandma did for you. Because that was absolutely their last. And you and I both know we ain't giving nobody our damn last. That was absolutely their last. That$5,$10 that they gave to go to the 4-H camp. That$35. Yeah.

32:12Chad Johnson:Yeah, hey, them$120 pair of shoes. I told y 'all, one of them, light bill, the gas, one of them got to be off next week. It gonna be off for sure. You gonna tell me nothing. It gonna be off. Hey, that was a great feeling, man, being able to do for grandma, obviously. And Joe, I told you. Ain't nothing like it. When I got drafted, I'm trying to move up. Man, I finally made it, baby. Grandma, what? Everything you done did, finally, it done paid off. Where you want to go? Nowhere. Boy, if you don't wear my face, I ain't going nowhere. Right. I've been here since the 50s. I am not going nowhere. My mama, boy, my grandma thought, boy, she thought, what?

32:57Bought her a brand new Saab. You know, she liked the Saab.

33:01Shannon Sharpe:I feel the Saab, yeah. Man, she had the Saab for about a year. Came back and say, baby, I don't want this no more. Man, I want me a BMW, I think it was M3. You know, she like the speed now. Yeah. Man went out, so we traded the side, and okay, got the BMW M3. She wanted to shop at Bell Harbor. She wanted them, huh? She wanted them. Hey, Joe, we're growing up. Oh, my mama was a stepper boy. She was a stepper. You know, she from the crib. Now, when it comes to dressing, oh man, they're on place. She was one of them. I'm like, hey, mommy, listen, I love you to death, right? But you're trying to live a lifestyle that I don't even live.

33:41Now you can't outdo me, you can't outdo me. And I don't live that way. Now I'ma do for you now. You done had two different cars now. And I didn't even been in the league for years. You on car number two already. Come on now.

33:56Chad Johnson:Man, please. Nothing like it, bro.

34:00Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. But the thing is, man, look here. I remember in, what was it, 90? Probably 92? I bought my, my mom ain't know nothing about no Chanel. I bought my mom a Chanel bag for Christmas. Got my sister Chanel bag for Christmas. Yeah. Hell, I ain't know, I was like, I happened to walk in the, was it Saks? It was Saks. And back then they had the Chanel in the case. I said, why those bags? I asked the lab, I said, why are those bags in the case? Are they like really nice bags? He's like, yeah, they're the top of the, I'm like, are they like better than like Gucci Are you Louis Vuitton? Like, yeah, they are.

34:40Shannon Sharpe:I'm like, oh, okay. I said, how much are they? I think like, might've been$1 ,500 back then. Back then it wasn't as much, yeah. Yeah. I said, you know what? I'm gonna get my barber, I'm gonna get my sister one for Christmas. Man, my sister's like, what is this?

35:07Chad Johnson:I'm just gonna say, what is this?

35:14Shannon Sharpe:But that's it, man. I mean, to be able to do for your parents and for your grandparents. Great feeling, boy. Man, Ocho ain't nothing. Doesn't like it, bro. Great feeling, man. Ain't nothing. Even to this day, I mean, my brother, man, my brother constantly brought you. Man, I told him, I sent my brother about two years ago. I said, man, look here. I need you to call Shelly. I said, Shelly, look, find my brother a car, just like the one he got. What does he got? He got a 550 GLS. Yeah, he got a 550 GLS. Find him something. I said, hey, man, you need to get to Atlanta. Shelly, find him something for you.

35:55Shannon Sharpe:He's like, man, I'm good. Now, mind you, the car he driving got 259 ,000 miles on it. Damn. 259. He go everywhere. When I say he drive, man, he drive from South Carolina to Miami to Orlando to Atlanta to Charlotte to Greensboro. Yes.

36:17Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah. Oh, he drive drive.

36:20Shannon Sharpe:He don't like to play? He don't like to fly? If he can drive, he would rather drive. I tell you what, he drove to Canton. He didn't fly. They wanted to fly, he drove to Canton, Ohio. From South Carolina? From South Carolina. He said, you know what, as a matter of fact, I can stop off and see my boy C. Lee, and he might get a couple of rounds of golf. I said, okay. I said, but your brave brother ain't riding with your ass, no worries. But anyway, and I said, man, look here. Shelly got, he said, man, no, I'm good. I said, man, go there. Shelly found something. But if that's not what you want, you get what you want.

36:59Shannon Sharpe:I've already done talked to the man. I told him, I said, look, whatever my brother wants, just my sister to take care from there. He went up there. Man, that Joe would call me. Man, I'm already back on the road. He was gone? He was gone. Hey, he drove down there, dropped that car off. I think they gave him$3 ,000 for it. Yeah. He was in the wind. Yeah. That's dope. Because that's how it was. Man, I said, I remember, he said, man, you know, bro, I'm about to get me a Ferrari. I said, for real? I said, man, I sure wish I could get me one. But I pulled by a lot of booze. So he said, so check this out.

37:43Shannon Sharpe:So he said, man, won't you go to the dealership, go to a dealership and see one? So I went, and it was a red one. And I was like, man. Testarossa? It was a Testarossa 512. Yeah, back then. I ended up getting the one black like Michael Jordan had in the last day. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I had that exact car. But anyway, I went up there, man. I said, dang, this thing nice. I said, man, but I can't fit. The guy that said, I said, well, how bad you want to fit? I said man I want to fit real bad He said well get in Man I He slid the seat back a little bit I got in I was like okay Okay It's really good He said uh He said Mr.

38:33Shannon Sharpe:Sharp He said I'm gonna tell you He says it doesn't have power steering It doesn't have a radio But it comes with 50 billion I said let me have it Let me have it I want it hey i called my brother i said spank i found what i want

38:56Shannon Sharpe:hey he got he said he said what color you getting he said i'm getting red he got a red peanut butter i said i gotta get that black back i got black all right yeah yeah oh yeah oh yeah hey hey what hey um what the test road do you we know how much ferraris cost a day they got so many different so it was a hey check this out ocho what the test i was making it was it was a quarter of a meal it was 250 back then yeah like 200 000 okay okay and and uh now mind you ocho i got a 200 000 car i'm making 225 a year

39:41Shannon Sharpe:So mind you, hey. So I was like, damn. Hey, he say, hey. He say, you know what you need to do? Because I had made the Pro Bowl 92. I had made the Pro Bowl. I said, man. Oh, hell no. I said, man. I said, check this out. Hey, I had to go get it. So mind you now, I got kids, a$250 ,000 car, a$600 ,000 house. I said, Spank, you know what I need?

40:20Shannon Sharpe:Remember I told you, I had to get everything like him. He got a black S500 two-door. I said man I saw this white one he said go get it damn

40:41Shannon Sharpe:man look here I got three kids a Marana S550 a Blazer making $325 ,000 hey having the time of your life Man, it's out of my life. I said, boy, if I don't do good, I'm going to bankrupt my brother. Oh, hell no. Then that year, I was first team all pro and made the Pro Bowl again, first team all pro. They redid my contract. We've been smooth sailing ever since. So that's what I'm saying. Look, hey, good time to owe you a. So now, pulling to the stall, first stall, Ferrari. Next stall, S550. Next stall, big 600 Benz, four doors. Outside, Range Rover. Outside, Yukon Denon.

41:39Chad Johnson:Hey, what color was that 600 Benz on? Boy, I'm talking about when I first got in the league in 2001, Uncle Ocho, them 600 Benz. Yeah. Oh yeah, that was it now. That was it. Hey, hey.

41:55Shannon Sharpe:Oh, then I got, hold on. No, no, no, no, no. Man, then in 98, I had a Ferrari, one of 10 Bentley, a Rolls Royce, a S600, a Range Rover, and a Denali. Well, God damn, huh? You only got two hands and two feet. Hey, but I tell you what, when I hit that garage go up, and that thing lit up in there. Yeah. Oh yeah, oh yeah. You living by yourself? I say I sure do. I sure do. And looking for some company.

42:37Shannon Sharpe:Man, I remember looking at that, I came up one day and I was like.

42:49Shannon Sharpe:Got rid of, got did everything. Everything. Because I had to, I was, take this out, guys. I was a damn fool. So, Chad, when I tell guys how to do certain things, I ain't telling if somebody told me, I'm telling what I know. Man, I had a Ferrari and an SL parked in my grandma's driveway. I'm sleeping in a bedroom in my grandma's house.

43:15Shannon Sharpe:Before I had a Ferrari, before I actually had a house to park it at.

43:20Chad Johnson:Yeah. Hey, I said, man. This boy cutting up. Hey.

43:27Shannon Sharpe:I was cutting up, Joe. Joe, boy. I already know. And you know when Freak Nick came to town and I brought that Batmobile out. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Boy, I hit that thing. Hey, and that was Houston parking lot on the way to roll.

43:48Chad Johnson:Hey. Hey, I already know you're acting a fool.

43:52Shannon Sharpe:Was I? I was some kind of off the chain. But I'm a chain, man. I'm a chain. But yeah, for sure. I had to. And so when I got my money, my signing bonus from my brother, when I got my signing bonus, I went to Baltimore. First thing I did, I cut him a check. Hey. I said, nah, bro. I said, nah, bro. I got to pay you back for everything you did for me. Cut him a check just like that. Off the rip. Accountant said, we see you got X and you, look here, you like being my accountant? Sure, Mr. Shaw, we been doing business well. I said, okay, don't ask me no questions about what I did.

44:31Chad Johnson:Hey, I think that's dope though. When you can grow up in a household and your older brother is somebody who you look up to and who you wanna be and he played on the highest level and you're able to reach that level as well. Hey, man, it said a lot, bro. I mean, because you got to think. What? You know, there's some cats out here. Like, I don't know who Ocho, if you had somebody in your family who you looked up to, but hell, I know I didn't. You know, I'm going off of what I see on TV. You feel what I'm saying? Yeah. And I had to muster up the, you know, the discipline to want to be one of the great ones, bro.

45:11Chad Johnson:You know what I mean? It take, hey, hey, hey man, I commend that bro. Cause you don't see that a lot of times, Ocho. Like a guy that made it and his younger brother living off him to some degree, but he never make it. Like I done seen that a lot too. My brother knew, he knew, my brother knew just what to do

45:31Shannon Sharpe:to get me to do what I needed to do. He was like, in college, he would come like, hey, we gonna go shopping. so he gonna buy he buy me like three or four pair of Levi's three or four three or four pair of Lee jeans you know Lee jeans were big back in the 80s yeah Calvin Klein so he would buy like odds are he would buy stuff like that and then when I saw his house I never forget I went to that Joker house this was had to be 19 19 19 yeah 19 when I got drafted 1990 because 91 he got his house that he was in he got a new house now that joker had a three-car garage that joker had a pool in the backyard i'm like spank you you you buy you this you yeah man inspiring brother you know you go out there play like you supposed to hey you can get it too man i wanted to go try right i know oh i promise you ocho listen to me

Or when I got to Phoenix, I'm hanging out with Penny Hardaway, Stephon Marbury. When I got to Phoenix, man, Penny Hardaway had a$9 million crib in Scottsdale. So he'd invite me and my homies, he'd invite us over to watch the games, chill, play pool off. I'm like, and this boy living alone. man in about 15 000 square feet i'm like bro who in that hey man so inspiring bro the first time i ever yes the first time when i got traded to phoenix uh we all hung out with stephan marbury his career bro that's the first time i ever stayed in somebody pool to nine o 'clock in the morning oh man oh man that boy knew how hey that boy was doing it right you hear me he was doing it right boy he showed us a good time you hear me i'm talking about tonight in the morning sun came out 7 30 8 o 'clock hey joe what y 'all had over there joe those that know joe said he was hell well he was well now those that know won't tell and those that tell won't know

48:23Chad Johnson:I'm glad I didn't have all that when I was in college though. I didn't need all that in college.

48:30Shannon Sharpe:Oh, Joe, I'm talking about a 9-11. He had a red one, a strophic. Had little headlights like this right here. Had 335 tires in the back.

48:41Chad Johnson:And you had a black college too?

48:44Shannon Sharpe:And I'm bad. They hate me. I already know. Then he got rid of that. He said, hey, man, I said, hey, then he got a 911, white, blue, blue top, blue guts. Nasty. Then he had that two-door pins. Had that. Man, I was like, man, hey, he said, man, what do you think I'm going to call back? Never. Never. So he's just like, hey, man, what you doing? I'm like, nothing, bro. He said, man, why don't you come on up here and spend the weekend? Man, I drive up there. He said, you can go ahead and take what you want, take back.

49:24Chad Johnson:Damn. What? Boy, was spanked to good care of you, what? Did he?

49:32Shannon Sharpe:And sent me back about$5 ,000 in my pocket. Ooh. Me and old lady doing it right. Me and old lady doing it right. Yeah, I already know. Yeah, yeah. I already know it. Hey, I had that thing back there at the Laquita Inn. You know what I'm saying? That little thing. 25 a night. Dang. Yeah. For sure. Yeah. What you talking about? Oh, we going to Rhyme. You know, some good old me. Yeah. Going to the movies.

50:01Chad Johnson:Yeah. For sure. Yeah. It was a good old day then, boy. Yeah.

50:06Shannon Sharpe:Man, look here. Dad, look here. My brother called me right now and said he needs something. No question. He got it. Whatever it is. Whatever cash I got, he got it.

50:15Chad Johnson:No question. No question. That's dope. No question.

50:17Shannon Sharpe:no questions asked. That's dope. Zero. I don't even, hey, like when it comes to my family, like, you know, like I always give my accounts, like, okay, this is for my family, I need X, Y, and Z. Ain't no question. Now, if I want to invest in a business, I want to invest in something, okay, they want to do everything, they want to do their due diligence. But when it comes to my brother, my sister, my mom, my kids, zero questions. Sell it all. To sell it all, they take priority because that's what I'm doing. Even if we didn't achieve this, I feel like being able to do that and grind and go on a journey to try and achieve would have been worth it. But definitely, it's the cherry on top. Ocho, now it's reported that he could signify your extension in, what, 2028 for about$418 million?

55:32Shannon Sharpe:Damn. I told you. I told you. I knew it was coming. It has to. Ocho Joe, we were just talking about this, everybody chasing the bag instead of chasing the victory. That man put it and say, look, because you look at what – they had to put pieces around him. You got to go get him a Care Bridges. You got to re-sign an OG. You got to go get a cat.

55:53Chad Johnson:But, hey, when they got them numbers in front of you like that, Uncle Ocho, man, it take a special type of individual to be like, no, I ain't going to take 250. I just take – I just take 150. You know what I mean? Like it says a lot. And kudos to Brunson, bro, because he definitely needed those guys for them to win a title. You know, it's hard when you take all the salary cap, bro, and they filling your team out with G League guys, and you're like, damn, I wonder why we can't make the playoffs, why we can't get past the first round. You know what I mean? So kudos to Brunson and the Knicks. Obviously, you know he's going to come back around.

56:33Chad Johnson:Ocho, it's like Steph. When they had him on that low contract early. That little little million dollar contract. So when they started winning, then his contract was to come back around. Hell, he had the highest contract in history, I think, at that time. Right. Yeah. Yeah, you're right, Joe. Listen, he was gracious in taking a pay cut to be able to build, you know, a team around him, understanding, you know, the end goal. We want to win a championship. In order for us to win a championship, even if we don't, this is going to give us our best chance to do so. So now, when that 400, whatever it is, that 400, 500 come along, and I done bought you a championship already, and I'm one of the main reasons.

57:14I know I had help now, but I'm one of the main reasons, especially in that game five, on where we got that championship after 53 years. Oh, man, I need all that.

57:25Chad Johnson:I mean, at this point, at this point, Ocho, Brunson can't do no wrong. I mean, hell, he's deserving of whatever they give him. You feel me? Like, they're going to take good care of him, bro. You know. This is amazing.

57:40Shannon Sharpe:I'm sure they will, and he deserve it. Joe, is this the blueprint for other stars to take less money in order to build a championship?

57:47Chad Johnson:No, a lot of these, nah. Nah, it's not. Everybody ain't doing that. And I think it's teams. It's going to be guys like, because you look at Boston with Tatum and Brown. You know, obviously they won a championship already, but you can win when you got those caliber of guys who can control the game on both ends of the floor. You know what I mean? So it just depends.

58:09Shannon Sharpe:And you drafted those guys, Ocho, and remember you had those guys on an easy contract.

58:15Chad Johnson:Yeah, you did, yeah.

58:16Shannon Sharpe:So now, like, hold on. Both of these guys make it over$300 million.

58:21Chad Johnson:The thing is, though, Ocho, at some point, especially after you start winning, when you start paying guys, it's going to start to do a little something to your roster. You know what I mean? Because at some point, you're going to be paying for what guys have already done versus what they can do.

58:38Shannon Sharpe:What they can do.

58:39Chad Johnson:Yeah.

58:40Shannon Sharpe:And that's what I tell Ocho. And we and Ocho have this conversation all the time. I say, Ocho, I've already paid you for what you've done. Now I got to pay you on what I believe you can do moving forward. Yes, sir. So if I don't believe that you're going to be the same player that you were, the three, four, five-time first-team All-Pro, what am I paying for? Because I gave you$200 million for that. Yeah.

59:01Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, timing is everything. My time come back around. Hey, hey, they say my max 400. Hey. Hey, look, man. I need y 'all to pay like your way, baby.

59:14Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Hey, he say, look, all I miss is Texas taxes. That's it. Because New York, you know, they hit you over the head with them taxes over there. Man. Uh-oh, uh-oh. Devin Vassell said Dylan Harper was upset about playing time and certain role with the team during the season. Let's take a listen to what Vassell had to say. Dylan, I think we all knew he was talented. I don't know if anybody knew he was this talented, probably besides himself. He was upset with playing time and different roles that he was in, but what we needed him most, he stepped up, and we have a star in the making. And I know that he's going to put so much work into the offseason.

59:59It's not just offensively, but defensively. He's made a lot of plays. He's grown so much. And was he 20, 21 years old? I mean, the sky's the limit for him. So I'm just really proud of our rookies. They stepped up and to be called. They're number to be called in the NBA finals shows the growth and the trust that the coaches have into them.

1:00:18Chad Johnson:Hey, don't surprise me, fellas. Number two pick. The guy oozing with confidence. Yeah. All these great teams that we see, it's always turmoil. You know, you're just talented enough to be able to play through it. You know what I mean? And still be able to go far and make things happen. But he's a talented young man. Uncle Ocho, I've been telling y 'all, man, there's no way in heck come next season that man ain't going to be in the starting lineup. I don't know who the hell they're going to have to move. But somebody's going to have to slide over. Yeah.

1:00:51Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. The problem that he had that I have with Coach Johnson is that he really wanted to stay in that foxhole. When he had an opportunity, Fox isn't playing well. The guy that's playing behind him is playing out of his mind. And Ocho, I know you said, but see, the difference is, Schroeder was not playing behind Harden like Harper was playing behind Fox. Right. You see Dylan Harper. We saw him in that game seven when they played on OKC. We've seen him play, and he's out playing Fox. And somehow you're continuously giving Fox more minutes. You're damn right I'm going to be frustrated. I can only stomach so much.

1:01:37Hey, and not what you call them, clutch.

1:01:47Chad Johnson:Yeah, and look, Vassell said he's been saying this throughout the season. He didn't even just talk about postseason. So you know in the postseason, that young man wanted to be out there hooping, bro.

1:01:59Shannon Sharpe:Of course. And he's playing his tail off. Miss Johnson is represented by clutch. So is De 'Aaron Fox.

1:02:06Chad Johnson:All right. Okay, make it make sense then. Make it make sense. Yeah.

1:02:12Shannon Sharpe:And you know what? Bro, I'm throwing all that aside. To win that game. it's hard for me it might not have happened it might not have happened but I'm giving Dylan Harper 40 minutes game five because there is no tomorrow Joe there's no tomorrow there's two days I can't do anything about yesterday and tomorrow so Saturday Harper

1:02:38Chad Johnson:what you saying you would have threw him in the lineup and brought five

1:02:42Shannon Sharpe:I'm playing in 40 minutes How many minutes? I think Dylan Harper played. How many minutes did Dylan Harper play? 31, 32 minutes?

1:02:51Chad Johnson:He was special, boy. It's a good thing he upset, too. If he wasn't upset, that'd be a problem, especially being a number two pick. Yeah. I don't care who y 'all, bro. When you get him, hey, if you love to compete, you want to be out there. No question.

1:03:13Shannon Sharpe:Harper played six minutes more than Harper. I mean, Fox played six more minutes. He played 37. Harper played 31. The roles probably should have been reversed. It's okay, Joe. I think sometimes coaches want to prove a point. Oh, he's going to be late in the ball game, and he's going to have the ball in his hands. Nah, I'm going to put the ball in Harper.

1:03:33Chad Johnson:Well, maybe the Spurs figure, hell, if we bring him off the bench, that'll diminish his value. Maybe they probably want to get off of him this summer, Uncle Ocho. You know what I mean? get off of Fox. And you ain't going to be able to, you know, if you start bringing him off the bench, you diminish his value.

1:03:51Shannon Sharpe:I'm not saying bring him off the bench. I'm saying the 37 minutes he got, he should have, Harper should have got 37. Fox get 37.

1:03:58Chad Johnson:Okay, you're saying after four, five minutes in the first quarter, he need to be coming out the game. Absolutely. Yeah, Leon. You ain't even let the man break no sweat.

1:04:11Shannon Sharpe:All I know is that Fox, all I know is that Harper, Harper was the second best, but on a consistent basis, Harper was the second best player. Yeah, and it didn't help that that game five, you know,

1:04:24Chad Johnson:Castle probably had his worst game of the postseason.

1:04:26Shannon Sharpe:He had his worst game.

1:04:28Chad Johnson:Fox had his worst game. But Harper was so special here. That's why they was even in the damn game. Correct. Okay.

1:04:37Shannon Sharpe:Angel Reese had 15 points, 17 rebounds, which has included a career-high 11 offensive rebound and one shorter tie to WNBA single-game record as the Atlanta Dream beat Toronto Tempo 102-77. Reese, who came in averaging 14.6 points and a league-leading 11.9 rebounds, has nine double-doubles this season and 59 in her career, which is the most in WNBA history. Isabella Harrison committed that flagrant two on Angel and was ejected. They had been going at it. They had been kind of going at it all day.

1:05:10Chad Johnson:Hey, think about it, though, Ocho. I don't know if y 'all know, but y 'all know they ex-teammates. They were teammates in Chicago. Yeah, they were teammates in Chicago, so they chirping the whole game. And for me watching it, it seems it was a lot deeper than just the game tonight. You know what I mean? Oh, yeah. It was too much back and forth. The only thing I didn't really like about Angel Reese is that, you know, if you're going to be able to dish it out, you got to be able to take it.

1:05:37Shannon Sharpe:You got to be able to take it.

1:05:38Chad Johnson:Now, if you're going to slap that ball at that girl's hand, then she turn around and do it to you, and you point and turn the tail, and yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And you got to play through it. But I didn't think Izzy was warranted to be a flagrant, too, to where she got kicked out of the game. I like the competitiveness. I know it was a nice little takedown, but for the most part, I thought it was good chippy competition back and forth and I never thought it was going to go to blows I just thought they were going at it bro two ex teammates

1:06:06Shannon Sharpe:I thought they was trying to get a handle on it Joe I thought they had felt they had started to lose control and they said you know what one of them got to go and somebody did something was just enough for them to say okay

1:06:20Chad Johnson:yeah she took Angel with that takedown and she man oh yeah Yeah, and then she stayed around and Angel missed both free throws and she was clapping. Hey, but think about it, though. Angel Reese had 15 points, 17 rebounds, 11 offensively. She was, what, 6 for 19 or something like that? But the thing is, I'm not even necessarily looking at a field goal percentage, Ocho, because she got 11 offensive rebounds. Hell, she missed all her points. And buckets she missed was in the restricted area. You know what I mean? Just finishing. If she could finish a little better, hell, that's a 40-point game, bro.

1:06:58Chad Johnson:She ain't shooting no jump shots. She just outworking everybody.

1:07:01Shannon Sharpe:She should easily be a 2015 young lady. Oh, easy. She just outworking them, girls, if you just want to keep it 100. Outworking them. But her field goal percentage has got to be in the high 30s or low 40s. She got to pick it up. Because at one point in time, I think she was like 2 of 12. Yeah, yeah.

1:07:21Chad Johnson:Damn. Yeah. She may, hey, hey, Ocho, she may have been two for 12, but the dog, the motor that she has, bro, if I got a team, she could play on my team any damn day, boy. You right about that, Joe. You go give all that effort. She like a, hey, hey, real talk, she like a modern-day Dennis Rodman out there. That's what she is. That's what she is. Yeah.

1:07:47Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. That's what she is. And the thing is, for the most part, I mean, you don't got to really run no offense for right

1:07:56Chad Johnson:hey hey anytime

1:07:57Shannon Sharpe:because she gonna get the ball she gonna hunt that ball

1:08:00Chad Johnson:anytime you got any player who gonna get 11 offensive rebounds come on bro you ain't got to run no play for them

1:08:09Shannon Sharpe:it's time for our final segment of the evening it's time for Q and A

1:08:27Shannon Sharpe:Oh, Joe, what do you call an alligator in a vest? Alligator in a vest?

1:08:33Chad Johnson:Investigator. Hello. That's a good one, Joe. Okay. That man can't beat me in nothing, dog.

1:08:45Chad Johnson:Okay.

1:08:47Shannon Sharpe:What better way to end UFC Freedom 250 than an American underdog winning by a wide margin. Gaethje, he put that thing on Tepora tonight. He did it. He did the thing tonight. He did everything, and if you saw the interview, he told you what he was going to do. He said, I'm going to mess up that pretty face.

1:09:07Chad Johnson:Mean demonstration.

1:09:09Shannon Sharpe:He put it down. Congratulations, Justin. I felt Tepora fought with his ego tonight. He didn't have to take all that damage, but he was too determined to get the KO and it cost him years on his career. Yeah. Look, he wanted to, look, he saw all the other fights ended. How'd it end? It wasn't nobody going to the scoring car. So he, I mean, I don't know what his strategy was. Gaethje, whatever his strategy was, whatever his game plan was, he followed it to a T. Ooh, didn't he, man? He did. He followed it to a T. But he did, he put down a mean demonstration on the poor as tonight.

1:09:52Shannon Sharpe:Big three, what's up? I just turned 19. Been tuning in with y 'all for a minute. Just wanted to shout you all out. Have a blessed one. Zay, thank you, bro. Happy 19th. Happy 19th. Happy 19th. You be out of them teens, bro. You be big 2-0. But thank you for your support, bro. King Iso, hopefully you took some notes tonight so you could do all that to Ocho. What Mike Tyson said, I'm going to F you until you love me. He's not ready for that demonstration.

1:10:19Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah. He already know what it is.

1:10:22Shannon Sharpe:I don't know nothing. I was born with it though.

1:10:28Shannon Sharpe:Did y 'all watch the NCAA track and field women's finals? Y 'all think De 'Asia Hodge will go pro and try to run it back? I mean, what's there to prove by staying in college?

1:10:42Shannon Sharpe:Unless she got a nice NIL deal, somebody going to give her NIL. Hell, I mean, sure. But other than that, you run 10.63 and 21.68? Yeah, I'm gone.

1:10:53Chad Johnson:Pyoom.

1:10:55Shannon Sharpe:Moving, boy. Yeah, Sha 'Carri ran 10.75, turned pro. Gabby Thomas won the NCAA and the 200, turned pro. Yeah.

1:11:06Shannon Sharpe:You want to make money, right?

1:11:07Chad Johnson:Hello.

1:11:08Shannon Sharpe:Now, maybe they got it because we saw the girl from Texas Tech, the pitcher. She got a million dollars to go pitch. Okay, somebody gonna give me$500 ,000, million dollars to run track at Georgia, I'm here. I'm outta there. Other than that, I'm gone. Man, you see all them guys, all them fast-timed Jacoby Tharp, run test 1275, what I'm going back to college for?

1:11:32Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, Ocho, Chinese man, one gone. I'm outta there, you hear me? I'm one gone, I'm gone.

1:11:42Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Yeah. Oh, Joe, you see Haiti get robbed last night. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It was a good game. It was a good game. They're going to be all right, though. They're going to be all right. They're going to have the opportunity. They're going to have the chances. They have to capitalize on the moments. When it comes to the World Cup, Uncle Joe, there's going to be certain moments. You've got to capitalize, man. You've got to. The margin for error is too small, man, especially in the group stage. I saw you walk into a gym for a three-on-three. You got PG, Mellow, T-Mac, Kawhi, and Paul Pierce are there.

1:12:20Shannon Sharpe:Which two are you picking to go against the other three? Also, Justin beat that boy like he had a Spurs jersey on.

1:12:32Chad Johnson:You say Kawhi, T-Mac, Mellow, and who else?

1:12:40Shannon Sharpe:PG, Melo, T-Mac, Kawhi, and Paul Pierce are there. Which two you picking to go against the other three?

1:12:50Chad Johnson:Probably me, T-Mac, and Melo. We'll take on Kawhi, Paul, Pierce, and who else? PG. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we get down. Yeah, we get down. Yeah.

1:13:06Shannon Sharpe:no matter what time y 'all come on it's always worth watching appreciate that man appreciate that big three in contract negotiations who decides that the contract is disrespectful you or your agent what makes it disrespectful they're going to always lowball you every time off the jump, off the rip no matter how good you are no matter how well you've done the previous season they're going to always lowball you and your agent is going to have to negotiate. Matter of fact, your agent is not even going to tell you the numbers they wanted to give you because it's going to piss you off. Exactly. Which is why the players are never in the negotiating room.

1:13:43Boy, you'll be mad as hell when you find out how they really think about you and try to football you.

1:13:47Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Yep. Facts. Facts.

1:13:54Shannon Sharpe:Ocho like money so much, his neon sign don't even turn on. You know, my light bill. but now you know my light bill ain't nothing but$60 a month.

1:14:04Chad Johnson:Come on, man. I don't know why I have that much. Yeah, Joe. Light bill ain't nothing but$60 a month, Joe. Damn, what you using? Candles around there? What you using? Huh? Yeah. Oh, when I'm not home? Hey, Joe, everything in my house that has a plug is out the socket until I have to actually use it. The microwave, the toaster, all the light fixtures, my video game, my arcade machines. If I'm not watching TV, it's unplugged outside. All that is watt usage. I ain't got time for that. What's wrong with it, man? Nah, I'm telling you, Joe, with everything you keep plugged in, that's watt usage. You get charged for that.

1:14:45Nah.

1:14:46Shannon Sharpe:I ain't finna live like Aiden Liga. Listen, I'm just, man, listen, man. Joe, I don't play, Joe. Hey, let me tell you something, Joe. It used to be a time, if I was dating somebody, I don't want you to stay with me. I want to come stay with you.

1:15:00Chad Johnson:Why you want to stay with me? Not only am I saving on my electricity, I take a shower at her house and save my water bill too. Literally, she knows. Hey, Joe, she pay her own bills. I ain't paying your bills. Her water bill,$120,$130. She don't even realize it's going up.

1:15:17Shannon Sharpe:I ain't never took a shower at a woman's house. No? Damn, huh? I don't know. Man, you think I'm going to let somebody get the drop? Man, look here. I already fell asleep at somebody. Now, the last thing you want to try to do is fight somebody naked.

1:15:33Chad Johnson:You vulnerable and catch you in the shower?

1:15:36Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, man. Man, how I'm going to touch with somebody like that? I can't grab that man. I'm going to do butt ball. Oh, hell no.

1:15:47Shannon Sharpe:Hey, that's a slippery slope right there, boy. Yeah. I mean, come on now. You and that thing, butt ball. You all slippery with it. How you going to fight somebody? Yeah, you right.

1:15:55Chad Johnson:You gotta know who you're dealing with though. You gotta know who you're dealing with, man.

1:15:59Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Oh, you know they'll lie to you now. Depending on who you are. Hey, but here's the thing. They'll lie to you, Joe. I might know who I'm dealing with. I don't know who she dealt with. There you go.

1:16:07Chad Johnson:That's the problem, Joe.

1:16:08Shannon Sharpe:And they're not gonna tell the truth.

1:16:10Chad Johnson:Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. You know how they go.

1:16:13Shannon Sharpe:I mean, some of them, I'm like, look at that, how you, you talk to, why?

1:16:23Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Yeah. Nah, I'm good.

1:16:31Shannon Sharpe:Man, Joe, Joe, he go to a woman's house and eat, take a shower, go to sleep, kick his shoes off. Hey, use the bathroom, number one, number two. Oh, no. Come on, Joe. Everything. Come on, Joe. Joe, I don't play, Joe. Come on, Joe. I don't play. I don't play. I don't play.

1:16:48Chad Johnson:Lord, I'll break the chair. Oh, Joe. This man here? Hey, Joe, I did not play. Hey, hey, hey. I'm talking about, boy, my stomach gotta be in a knot. You hear me? I'm talking about, I'm talking about, boy, I can't make it nowhere. For me. I'm going home. Ain't no way. If they got a toilet, it's gonna get used, boy.

1:17:11Shannon Sharpe:For the most part, I don't, you know, like if I when I did do that if I go to somebody's house I ain't going I'm not going to come in if I was like we go to dinner I ain't even coming in I'm going on home

1:17:27Chad Johnson:cause you already know boy

1:17:29Shannon Sharpe:I already know yeah yeah for sure for sure yeah hey

1:17:35Chad Johnson:and it ain't no way to get comfortable boy once that dude jump down on you ain't no way to get comfortable Yeah, baby, stomach just stay.

1:17:42Shannon Sharpe:Hey, you just turn it. Oh, you just keep turning your light. Everything okay? If you only knew what's going on inside my stomach.

1:17:49Chad Johnson:Hey, you starting to hear that raw rumble in that stomach, too?

1:17:52Shannon Sharpe:It's a wrap. Yeah, that's a lady. Let me. You know what? I'm sorry. I know I told you I was gonna stay, but. The dogs, I left the dogs out. They didn't let them out. Yeah. Man, that joke with Ocho, that joke get comfortable quick. Hey, hey, hey, listen, man. You got one life in here, man. No need to leave. That boy say, that boy say. I can't do it, Joe. I can't do it, Ocho. I ain't going to lie.

1:18:20Chad Johnson:But it don't surprise me with Ocho. He said he could use a port-a-potty. So, I mean, you could do that. I know you would do it at your girl house, you know. Well, but Joe, if you had a concert, you ain't got no choice but to use a port-a-potty. They got it outside. That's what they put in there for. I'm making it light on myself, Ocho. So if I go to the concert, I ain't eat nothing that I think gonna have me trying to run to. Thank you. There you go, simple as that. I understand. See, Joe, I'm not like that, man. Y 'all take too many precautions, man. I know you gonna get your glizz with some cheese and - Hey, no, no, no cheese.

1:18:50Oh, no condiments, Joe. I eat my glizz plain. Damn. Yeah, I eat mine plain.

1:18:56Shannon Sharpe:I ain't got time for that. Yeah. Yeah, I ain't going nobody half an hour to eight. Half an hour to eight, we don't eat. I'm going home.

1:19:07Shannon Sharpe:I ain't passing no gas in nobody's bed, in nobody's house. Oh, no, I'm going to let it go. Oh, no. Come on, Joe. You got to let it go. Hey, Joe, don't hurt yourself. Don't hurt your stomach, man. You don't want to be backed up. Now, you mess up your intestines trying to hold your gas just because you around somebody. They need to understand.

1:19:25Chad Johnson:Hey, they say you hold your fire, you stop your heart. But listen, check this out. I ain't going to be doing that around no girl. And I sure hope she don't try to do it around me, old Joe. Thank you Joe. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, you know, women don't even, you just smell it. Oh, nah, nah. They never hear it. Yeah, you know, they got a little poop, just a little poop, that's what they call a poop. Nah, I'm straight, bro. It's life.

1:19:50Shannon Sharpe:No, let me go, let me go on it to my little, my little.

1:19:54Chad Johnson:Man, let me let loose when I want to, you know. Yeah.
