1:31Shannon Sharpe:The Celtics acquired Nikola Vucevic has people believing that Jason Tatum could return for a postseason run, per Jake Fisher. Sources say the Celtics' decision to acquire Nikola Vucevic from Chicago before the trade deadline in exchange for Anthony Simon's expiring contract was a clear indicator that Boston believed Tatum will indeed return for a postseason run. Joe, this is your level of expertise. What you thinking?

1:58Chad Johnson:I thought that quietly, Anka Ocho, this was probably the biggest acquisition during the trade deadline because Boston not only do, you know, they get a pretty good bid who can pick and pop. You can play through him. He can pass. You know, he don't really have many weaknesses. He might be a little deficient when it comes to defense, but for the most part, he's going to be surrounded by guys where he can really flourish. and he gonna be a great, that's a great spot for them. Okay, Ocho, they were lacking in that area, so to give up Simons and get Vucevic, man, listen. I don't know if Tatum, I'm still skeptical about him trying to come back.

2:39Chad Johnson:Okay, Ocho, I'm gonna be honest with y 'all. It's too early, Joe? Well, it's an Achilles, man. Like, you gotta, like, before he get out there, he probably, he gonna have to rev that thing up to really, really see. Y 'all know how tender that is, man. And then now we're talking about this playoff basketball from here on going forward. Right. He's going to be playing at such a high level. It's like that's going to be a lot of wear and tear real quick. So I don't know if it's really worth it, honestly. So they probably brought Bigfell over there so he can help JB contribute offensively and see what type of run they can make.

3:14Shannon Sharpe:I don't think they thought they would be with the injuries that they had. I think that's why they moved because JT was going to be out. And so you see them break that team apart. They let Al Horford go. They traded Holiday and brought Simons in. They traded Christopher Zingas. So they were probably looking at Ocho from a standpoint like, you know what, there's going to be a down year. Let's get some relief. They sold a team. The new owner's like, yeah, get some relief because we ain't paying all this money to be out of the playoffs. And lo and behold, JB is playing like an MVP. Peyton Pritchett has been sensational.

3:50Shannon Sharpe:White, Derrick White has been Derrick White playing both ends of the court. And so guys are playing, Hauser's coming off the bench and playing really well. So guys have played above what maybe even Joe Mazzulla thought they could be in the level. Damn.

4:05Chad Johnson:I agree.

4:06Shannon Sharpe:Man, hold on.

4:07Chad Johnson:I agree. We might could, it ain't no foregone,

4:11Shannon Sharpe:ain't no invincibles over here on the eastern side. Yeah. Yeah. The Knicks look good. Okay. Yeah. You know, Detroit, Toronto, Philly kind of been up and down. But it ain't no – ain't no invincible. Ain't no – oh, it ain't no 60-win teams over here.

4:30Chad Johnson:Nah. Right.

4:31Shannon Sharpe:So I think that's how they're looking at it.

4:33Chad Johnson:Yeah, I'm with you on that. I think a lot of us didn't – I know I didn't have the Celtics in the top of the East. You know, I thought Jalen Brown would still be an all-star archaucho. But I didn't think that they would be playing collectively as a team, playing this great of basketball that they've been playing. They really surprised me. And I think they got a chance, bro. They got a chance. They got a shot. They got a shot.

5:00Shannon Sharpe:Joe, the Cavaliers have won 10 of their last 11, including five straight. They're 34-21 now. What are you thinking, Joe? Are the Cavs back? You know they made the trade for James Harden. You got Harden. You got Donovan Mitchell. You pair him with Evan Mobley and what's the big kid with the fro? Jared. Jared Allen. You know, you got Merrill coming off, shooting the ball really, really well. You like the Cavs? Are the Cavs in play here, Joe?

5:34Chad Johnson:No, I love it. Okay, Ocho, I love James Harden kind of orchestrating everything because he going to make sure Donovan get off. So Donovan going to give you 30, 35 a night. I'm talking about when we get to the playoffs. He's going to be able to orchestrate. He's going to be able to control the games, control the series. And the beneficiaries will be the Evan Mobleys, the Jared Allens. Because he's a willing passer, Uncle Ocho, and he made guys around him better. You put him in the pick and roll with any of those two dudes, man, you're bound to get something good. And then, not on top of that, you know, James wants to continue playing.

6:11Chad Johnson:He wants a new contract. So you're going to get the best out of him this second half of the season. and you're going to get the best James Harden you can possibly get. So I put the Cavs up there as well, man. They've been playing great basketball since he's been acquired to the team. I'm talking about he's been doing what he's always done, making big shots, getting guys involved, and, you know, just being James Harden. So I think it's not going to – when you get to the playoffs, it's not going to be based on him to have these huge performance nights. Now, he'll – you know, he's going to win you a couple games in a playoff series, if not a series, but with all those dudes surrounding him, Cleveland going to be something to reckon with, bro.

6:51And I like the fact, Joe, you have a Donovan Mitchell,

6:56Shannon Sharpe:and because Kobe said that James Harden's style, one guy dominating the ball, it's impossible to win like that the postseason. And I think with him, and you have Donovan Mitchell, you have another option. We know Donovan can go crazy in the playoffs. We've seen that. He can go haywire. But the thing is with James, if he can just be consistent. Because we've seen him give you 51 game and then come back and give you nine the next game. And that's what they can't have. But if this kid, Merrill, keeps shooting like he shot, he got to start off the night seven or seven from the three and nine or nine from the floor.

7:33Shannon Sharpe:He keep playing like that. And with Donovan Mitchell, like you said, Donovan's going to get you somewhere between 28 and 32 on a nightly basis. You got the two rim protectors. They're going to make it very hard inside. And you get hard doing what he does? Yeah, they got a good chance. Them biggs got to be consistent too.

7:54Chad Johnson:Jared Allen and Evan Mobley, when they get in the playoffs, they got to be dominant, man. They really got to be dominant because the deficiencies that you have in guarding the basketball out on the perimeter, they got to be able to cover for some of that.

8:08Shannon Sharpe:I think they can. I mean, we saw Jared Allen the other night, good 40 and 16 against Portland. Yeah. And, you know, Evan Mobley was defensive player of the year, so we know he can protect and can defend. Jared Allen, look, you might dunk on him, but he going to get you a couple of times now. He going to block your shot. Yeah.

8:24Chad Johnson:As a shot blocker, that's kind of known. You know, you going to get got and you going to get a lot of people. That's just part of it. That's the nature of it. Matumbo got flushed on the bus, but he got –

8:35Shannon Sharpe:Hey, not in the house on Matumbo.

8:40Joe Johnson:When people turn to telehealth or weight loss, they're looking for real support. That's why more people are choosing orderlymeds.com. 10:45Shannon Sharpe:kevin durant spoke with akeem olajuwon about how much longer he wanted to play somebody asked me if i could play five more years i'm like damn that's a long time man five more years i'm 37 that play that play that long and kept his mental stamina and physical stamina to come in every day and want to get better. I mean, you can't beat that. It's inspiring. You got to respect that. Joe Anocchio, how much longer do you think KD plays before he hangs it up?

11:14Joe Johnson:Hey, Joe Anocchio, I think he can play. He can play another five if he want to, even at 37. You know, depending on the supporting cast around him, he don't got to have the ball in his hand. He can play off the ball, you know? I mean, he doesn't have to – what's the word I'm looking for? he doesn't have the pressure of having to lead a team depending on the situation he's in he got enough young bulls around him over there in Houston we could last he could last another another five

11:42Chad Johnson:yeah so he don't have to take he don't have to take so much of a beat

11:46Shannon Sharpe:his game is not physical like that LeBron game I mean for LeBron to play that long to dominate and finishing at the rim and finishing at the rim and falling on the floor that's not Kevin Durant's game Kevin Durant is a mid-range. He can shoot the three. He's looking at one, two, three dribbles, one, two dribbles and pull up. So he's not playing physically. I mean, obviously you're out there every night. You're playing 35, 37 minutes a night is demanding. But he's not playing the style of basketball that say, and he doesn't have to have the ball. He's not initiating the offense. So that's what, and my thing is, I think, you know, he can play another five years.

12:25Shannon Sharpe:The question is, I mean, playing five years is one thing. Are you in championship contention those five years? And I think with I May being in Houston and with that team they got, I still think they need a point guard. It would have been great if Van Fleet could have stayed healthy. But I love Shingun. I love Thompson. KD, obviously. So, I don't think they can come out of the West. You don't think they can come out of the West? I don't believe they can beat OKC. I don't believe they can beat Denver. I don't.

13:07Chad Johnson:Man, listen, with KD's body type, Ocho, I definitely think he can play another five years. What do they call him? The Slim Reaper? Yeah, I think he can definitely play another five years because his shooting is still going to always be a premium. You know what I mean? I mean, look, in today's game, you can shoot that rock. You can play, bro. And with him being 6 '10", 6 '11", 7 '0", it's hard to guard that anyway. So, you know, that's going to be tough. He's shooting from down to 9 '2". Hey, we call that that tall man. Ain't but a couple guys got that tall man jump shot. That's that Kevin Garnett, Rasheed Wallace.

13:47Joe Johnson:Ocho. Katie.

13:48Chad Johnson:Huh? Ocho. So, but I think they got a chance, but I think they, you know, they still tweaking some things because, I mean, Thompson, I think he's pretty good. But, yeah, when the playoff comes and it slows down, him playing the one the entire time, that probably will bring some problems. But that's why I think the West is going to be a dogfight. Like the first round to the second round all the way up to the Western Conference Finals, Man, they're going to beat each other up by the time whoever makes each other.

14:22Shannon Sharpe:But if you think about it, Joe, look at the Nuggets. Once they get back healthy with Peyton Watson playing the way he's playing, with Jamal Murray, Jokic is Jokic. Ain't nobody stopping him. Just go ahead and chalk it up. Okay, Jokic, you can get your 25 to 30 and your 12 to 15 rebounds and your 12 to 15 assists. He's going to get that. Now you get playoff Jamal Murray, who's going to give you 25. and then you get Aaron Gordon. You never know which Aaron Gordon. He won him two games last year against, against OKC. And Watson, Mr. Peyton Watson.

15:01Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah, I think he's like, he's like a wild card for them. Cause he done kind of sprouted this year and he been balling, Uncle Ocho. So, you know, for him to gain that confidence when, yeah when they get fully healthy, the thing is with Gordon, and you don't know, I mean, y 'all know man, them hamstring, they lingo, bro. He's an athlete. He's not just no stand still shooter. You know what I mean? So it plays a part to his game, but it's gonna be tough coming out there west, bro. Ocho, you got yours? What's up? Huh? That's all right, man, I like that. Man up still.

15:41Shannon Sharpe:Show some TV. Man, they got the great beard, They got the soul patch, Joe. They got my neck. Boy, they got you right. Hey, look. What you know about the soul patch? Man, they got your boy good, man. My brother said, I like that, so I'm going to send him one.

16:03Joe Johnson:Yeah, that's what's up. Ocho, you get you one? Yeah, I got one. I got my little soccer jersey on it. Oh, Joe.

16:09Chad Johnson:That's what's up, man.

16:10Joe Johnson:Hey, whoever, I'm not sure exactly who drew it, but when they drew it, they were very detailed and meticulous on exactly the things that I, you know, I mean, my features and what I always wear. It's pretty dope.

16:23Shannon Sharpe:Hey, tell the guy that got your boy hands.

16:29Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah, they ain't miss on them, boy.

16:34Shannon Sharpe:Oh, man, they got the gray and everything, man. I said, well, damn. I told my shoulder to my daughter. I said, that look like me. She got laughing about, yeah. But I do. I think Kevin Durant, I mean, I think Kevin Durant, he definitely can play five more years. I think a blessing in disguise was is that he got hurt and missed that time, Joe.

17:00Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah. Talking about when he was playing in Brooklyn.

17:02Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Well, you know, when he left Golden State, he took a whole year off.

17:05Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah. And then he got hurt.

17:07Shannon Sharpe:He got hurt. Was it in Phoenix? He got hurt. You think he missed like 20 games? And that helps in the long run. Yeah. Yeah. KD has shown no fall off. He's averaging 25.9, so he's averaging 26 points a game, five rebounds a game, four assists a game.

17:30Chad Johnson:And he's efficient. What are you shooting from the field? Probably 53, 54%. Yeah, yeah. Like, that's a premium, bro.

20:11Shannon Sharpe:That boy, nice. Former Eagles OC Kevin Petula will be heading to Miami to join the Dolphins as their team's passing game coordinator. Petula spent five seasons with the Eagles, four as passing game coordinator, and was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2025. Ocho, your guppies hired Petula as the passing game coordinator. Eagles couldn't throw the ball to his yard. They couldn't even get A.J. the ball. So what are you going to do for them?

20:39Joe Johnson:I don't know what he's going to do. He's a passing game coordinator. I couldn't tell. He's not the offensive coordinator. Therefore, it's not going to be his offense. Who the hell we have at quarterback? I don't care nothing about Petulo being the Passing game coordinator who is going to be The quarterback going forward So we can compete in the AFC East That's all I want to know

21:05Shannon Sharpe:Compete with who in the AFC East The Bills What you mean who You think the Guppies are going to compete with the Bills And the Patriots

21:18Joe Johnson:I'm just asking

21:20Shannon Sharpe:For clarification, I'm just going to tell you, I'm having a joke.

21:23Joe Johnson:We need a quarterback to compete in the AFC East. The only way y 'all can compete in the AFC East? Drake May and Josh Allen.

21:30Shannon Sharpe:A 23-year-old Dan Marino. That's the only way y 'all compete.

21:37Shannon Sharpe:See, that's real disrespectful.

21:38Joe Johnson:Man, you know the guppies ain't doing it. That's real disrespectful.

21:40Shannon Sharpe:Man, y 'all done let the Patriots retool.

21:43Joe Johnson:Yeah, we retooling right now. We retooling. Well, give us a bunch of screwdrives and monkey wrench. Y 'all ain't got a whole lot in y 'all toolbox. You talking about y 'all retooling. Hey, listen, you right about that. You right about that. But we got to start somewhere. And what we need to start at is the goddamn quarterback position. We need to answer that question before we can do anything else.

22:05Chad Johnson:So what are they going to do? Wipe Tua contract away? Oh, they Tua gone.

22:09Shannon Sharpe:Tua gone.

22:10Joe Johnson:They tried to get a pop Tua. Yeah, he trying to. They going to take a 99 point what something mean? cap it, they don't have to get cap it. They not tripping.

22:21Shannon Sharpe:That must be real nice. Like you said, you take a$100 million cap here and we ain't tripping.

22:29Joe Johnson:They not? They not. You just write that off.

22:33Shannon Sharpe:That's a tax break. Yeah.

22:37Joe Johnson:That's crazy. That is crazy. hey don't I'm telling you now depending on who we get at the quarterback position I'm going to tell you who the dark horse is coming up this season man it might be the Dolphins

22:56Chad Johnson:nah

22:57Joe Johnson:yeah because y 'all laughed at me when I said it was going to be the Bears and the Panthers and look what happened

23:01Shannon Sharpe:like you told me broke clock right twice a day so you was right twice last year but we ain't going to talk about your we ain't going to talk about your bungles

23:11Joe Johnson:my who yeah oh wait a minute watch what we do in the offseason though watch we do in the draft watch watch what we get on the defensive side of the ball watch y 'all want max crosby or jeffrey simmons huh whoa whoa whoa i mean i would i would love hey listen listen i would love that i would love if if you know i was coming to the cowboys what In a perfect world, we get Jeffrey Simmons. Who going to the Cowboys? Crosby. Give the Raiders George Pickens. We might be able to do something, Ojo. Okay. I mean, that's an even swap because everybody Cowboys fans, I love Cowboys fans. I love y 'all. I love y 'all, but I'm just saying you guys are so hung up on having George Pickens stay when you have so many questions that need answers defensively.

24:03You know?

24:03Joe Johnson:I would I mean I would Pickens to the Raiders get Matt Crosby understand what you can get from Max making that defense that much better solidifying one position and having an impact player and continue on putting pieces around him so you can compete instead of having CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens and an all world offense that can score 41 points but the other team going to score 45. Sounds like somebody else's team you know, Ocho.

24:37Shannon Sharpe:No, no, no. You hear me? Yo, Joe, it sounds like another team that he should be very familiar with. They got two superstar wide receivers, a superstar quarterback, but can't stop nobody. You hear me?

24:51Chad Johnson:I'm saying, but he can't wait to break up Lamb and Pickens, but you go over to the Bengals, oh, man, he can just do that.

24:58Joe Johnson:Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. This is a different situation. they both came into Cincinnati together George Pickens was coming from the Steelers so it's a little different I just want young bull to get what he deserves I know he came in with Joe didn't he they both went

25:23Shannon Sharpe:from the same team didn't he come in with Joe Joe was the first round pick T with the second round pick. I don't think T and Chase came in together.

25:34Joe Johnson:I didn't say they came in together. I said they came to the same team. It's not like he came from somewhere else. That's all I'm saying.

25:41Shannon Sharpe:But still. But you want to keep them together.

25:46Joe Johnson:So y 'all, you're not going to listen to

25:47Shannon Sharpe:what you said. I'm saying you said you want to keep T.

25:54Joe Johnson:The Cowboys need help on defense. Y 'all need help on defense. We're going to be alright. I talked to ownership I talked to ownership I already know what we're going to do in the draft if he's available if he's available and we're going to get everything defense this year everything

26:12Chad Johnson:y 'all going for big boy and for Miami

26:15Joe Johnson:you talking about Bane yeah I don't think he's going to be there he definitely ain't going to be there

26:22Shannon Sharpe:y 'all picking pretty high he might be there it's not like y 'all in the 20s Y 'all picking really high. Y 'all in the top 10 or the top 12 for sure.

26:32Joe Johnson:We picking 10. Yeah, exactly.

26:34Shannon Sharpe:So, yeah, there's a chance he'll be there.

26:35Joe Johnson:Hey, none of them going to be there. Caleb Downs, Bain ain't going to be there. They gone. Y 'all need more than that. I know. I'm just saying. What about your team?

26:47Shannon Sharpe:Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. What about your team? My team beat your team.

26:54Joe Johnson:We all went home at the same time.

26:56Shannon Sharpe:We played the NFC Championship game. We all went home in the same. They missed out at our quarterback. We was a quarterback away, but I'd have been more disappointed had we had the quarterback get to the Super Bowl and got beat. So it worked out how it was supposed to.

27:07Joe Johnson:That's fine.

27:10Shannon Sharpe:I'm just trying to figure out how Kevin Petula get another job, and ain't nobody even mentioned Byron Leftwich.

27:17Joe Johnson:You know how. Right. You know how. We've had this conversation many a time. What Byron Leftwich need to do?

27:25Shannon Sharpe:He ain't slap nobody.

27:34Shannon Sharpe:Oh, Joe, there's a clip going around that the staff wants us to watch. Let's take a listen to this, Ocho. Enjoy and let's know what you think.

27:43Shannon Sharpe:I do have one complaint about BG in the room.

27:46Joe Johnson:Let's go. He got fined a lot. A thing in the room where if you pass gas. This is a notorious thing. And it's like, I mean, he spent a lot of money on that room just blowing air. I have heard less of this later in your career. Did you change anything about your diet over the years? I did. I did. Not to bow like how bow lost. I want to get like how bow is. It looked different. Yeah, man. It had to change if I wanted to stay playing. Because you can't just get away with it as a young guy. But, you know, later on in the other year. But did this affect the smell as well? It do. It really do, man. It depends, though, because some smoothies that you drink can get you$500 farts.

28:26Joe Johnson:What? I mean, you're in the room all day with$12 or whatever it is. Yeah, we learned about the fines. Right. Unless that's expensive gas, BJ. It's some expensive gas.

28:37Shannon Sharpe:The price of gas is going up. Oh, man. Thank you. That wouldn't happen. That wouldn't happen. That didn't happen in the tight end room. That didn't happen in the offensive. No, sir. Absolutely not. You crazy?

28:49Chad Johnson:Yeah. You don't play that on?

28:51Shannon Sharpe:Absolutely not.

28:52Chad Johnson:Nah, dude, just sitting there passing gas, Ocho. Nass, get your last son and go to the bathroom. Yeah, Joe, I ain't never had no problem like that, Joe. Yeah, no, I'm saying I ain't never dealt with it neither, but I can imagine what that's like. Like, come on, bro.

29:06Joe Johnson:Yeah, somebody, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We never had that in the receiver room, huh? No, no, that wasn't happening. Maybe the linemen, probably the linemen, you know, the linemen, they eat all kinds of stuff.

29:16Shannon Sharpe:Them nasty rascal, yeah. Yeah, they come straight out the field and go fix the plate. Oh, no. You always got to meet the office linemen to food. You got to, you got to.

29:28Chad Johnson:Hey, but you heard what he said. He said, man, look, he had to switch up his diet because when you get older, you can't eat them Zuzuz and Wham-Whams you was eating at 23 and 24 years old thinking you finna go out here competing, bro. Yeah. It just ain't gonna happen that way.

29:42Shannon Sharpe:Oh, but hold on, wait a minute. Oh, you remember how the chat was getting on me when I was like, oh, your girl can't pass gas? Why did, I mean, this natural. Passing gas is natural. Nah. that's different.

29:55Joe Johnson:I got on to you about that too.

29:57Shannon Sharpe:Totally different.

29:59Joe Johnson:I mean, your girl, your girl, that's not past gas. Your women poop. They poop. They still stink. Hold on. So y 'all cool with that? Hell no, Joe, you know we from the South, Joe.

30:09Shannon Sharpe:We don't get down like that.

30:11Joe Johnson:Joe, your girl can't poop around you?

30:14Chad Johnson:Oh, Joe. Thank you, Joe.

30:15Joe Johnson:Thank you, Joe.

30:16Chad Johnson:Come on.

30:17Joe Johnson:Hey, y 'all tripping, man. That's natural. That's something natural.

30:21Chad Johnson:Oh, Joe.

30:22Joe Johnson:Hey, Joe and Unc, you can't make your woman uncomfortable when she can't. She comfortable? Get up and go to the bathroom.

30:27Chad Johnson:That's respect. Thank you. That's respect off dump. Aw, here y 'all go with it. That's respect off dump. I ain't never had to tell no girl I've ever dated, look, man, you don't need to be doing that. Thank you, Joe.

30:38Joe Johnson:Thank you. Nah, hey, listen. If you got to go, why do you want your woman's stomach hurting because she got a hole in in because she's around you, man? Yeah. I got seven and a half bathrooms.

30:49Shannon Sharpe:Find one. Blow it up. you'd be like professor clump you ain't my club daddy was at the table i call your name if your

30:57Joe Johnson:name have at it but you're not gonna do that around me hey hey hey hey you know what i honestly like all jokes aside i can't believe y 'all man i can't believe y 'all y 'all would have a woman hold her stomach make her stomach hurt simply because she's scared to poop around

31:14Shannon Sharpe:you got you got about seven eight bathrooms right joe and what if you're in the car driving what if

31:21Joe Johnson:in the car driving somewhere and she and she and you know hey i'll stop at the gas station

31:27Chad Johnson:i see hey hey and you know women are a lot more strategic strategic when it comes to like food

31:33Shannon Sharpe:and eating them they already know yeah oh this gonna this gonna cause my stomach yeah i can't

31:38Chad Johnson:yeah i can't eat this because they're gonna have my stomach yeah thank you thank you oh man i've been waiting this is what i've been waiting for y 'all two y 'all two the only two i think man please

31:50Joe Johnson:I think it's disrespectful to tell her, listen, if you're around me, if we're together, we're out in the car or whatever we're doing, you cannot pass gas around me. I ain't never had to say nothing.

32:02Chad Johnson:Thank you, Joe. Thank you. Thank you, Joe. You ain't never had to say nothing? I ain't never had to tell no girl that, Ocho. That's just common courtesy. Thank you. That ain't no common courtesy, girl, if you got the poo-pooed. I don't care about that. Look, it better be silent and not deadly, but you think you just finna be, you know what I mean? just around me just passing gala come on bro thank you joe thank you all that all that that passing

32:26Joe Johnson:oh oh come on joe oh joe oh joe on my mama resting p joe i don't care nothing about that that's fine girl if you got to go let it out in one of them bathroom that thing smell like but it smells like don't go and don't go in mine the master bathroom is mine that's my throne You see him? He also, Unk say, she can't take a number two in his bathroom. Listen, if you deal with me, I like the whole, some of the better conversations when you're in a relationship, Joe, they're hell when a woman is using the bathroom. Oh, Joe.

33:01Chad Johnson:Listen, listen, listen. Women are pretty discreet with that. Thank you, fellas. They not just gonna be... I'm saying, Ocho, come on now. I don't know who this man is. Joe, you ain't never

33:13Joe Johnson:had no conversation with a girl when she's using the bathroom?

33:15Chad Johnson:Man, Ocho, I'm going to be honest, I have. See, thank you. It wasn't like, you know, it was because it was something needed to be, something had to be talked about. But I wasn't just going in there like, you know what I mean? No, I have not.

33:29Shannon Sharpe:I have not. I put that on Mary Porter and my kids. I am not talking to you while you're in the bathroom. Whatever you want to discuss, nothing can get done before you get out of there. So we good. Look, Joe, I told Ocho, I stopped talking to a girl because she did that. Did what? She put it around you? She was in the bathroom. She went and used the bathroom. She had to pee. She got back to the door, stepped foot, and passed gas.

33:58Shannon Sharpe:Hey, aunt, that's romantic, aunt.

34:02Chad Johnson:You sure it was the right gas?

34:04Shannon Sharpe:I tell you what I did. I never called again if I changed my number.

34:12Shannon Sharpe:Uncle, you petty, man. Nah, you're not finna do that. You're not. Nah, I don't play like that. I don't. That's human nature. It is. But maybe it's just because the way I was raised up, I was raised around my grandmother, and I'm very respectful of people like that. I don't do that. Yeah. Hey, when I go to the bathroom. They don't play that. They don't play that. Any woman that's ever dealt with me, when I go to the bathroom to pee, I cut the water on. I don't want to hear you pee. I don't want to hear myself. I don't even want to hear myself pee.

34:45Joe Johnson:Hey, Joe, Unc is alive, but he ain't living. He ain't living. Well, I ain't gonna live.

34:49Shannon Sharpe:Ain't nobody finna be dropping no bombs, no stinking load around me. No.

34:55Chad Johnson:Okay. Hey, look, them stinking load, I'm with Unc on that.

34:59Shannon Sharpe:I ain't chilling. Hey, I get ready to go on my throne, and you done smashed the pumpkin in the toilet. Oh, hell no.

35:07Joe Johnson:Hey, okay. Okay. Hey, Joe. Hey. Hey, you should have heard Unc. You heard Unc the other night, he talking about when you're in the shower, talking about he will get out the shower, track all the water on the floor, just to go pee in the goddamn drain right there in front of you in the shower.

35:22Shannon Sharpe:I pee before I get in the shower. That's why I don't have my water because, see, my kidney's bad. You know, my bladder weak. So I can't use too hard water because it makes me go to the bathroom. So I got, you know, the water somewhat lukewarm. No, I don't do that. I don't do that.

35:38Chad Johnson:Yeah, normally when that water touch your hands or touch your body, You pretty much got to go, I ain't gonna lie. I gone let it ride in the shower. See, thank you, thank you, Unc. You know what I told you. I ain't gonna lie. It going down the drain ain't like I'm wheezing around the whole damn tub. I'm straight in the drain.

35:57Shannon Sharpe:And all I know is that the women that I've dealt with, they're very respectful and I appreciate that. I appreciate that. By the same token, I don't go around them. I don't burp. Women can't tell me. As a matter of fact, I don't, I don't, when I, I'll be like, I don't burp around no woman. I don't go to no bathroom around no woman. Like I said, I've gone back to Fox. I've gone to, I've gone, I've gone somewhere. No, I sent them on. Hey, you know what I need? Can you go to the store and get something for me? Like what you need?

36:31Joe Johnson:Just to use the bathroom? Yes.

36:37Shannon Sharpe:Hey, you doing that?

36:39Joe Johnson:You doing that? Too much. Too much. And you know what you need?

36:42Shannon Sharpe:You know, now if you really want me to get upset, I hate when they don't flush the toilet, they pee and got paper, flush it.

36:54Chad Johnson:Hold on, you saying they leave the pee in the toilet. Oh, I forgot. Come on.

36:59Shannon Sharpe:How you forget? You, all you, all you do, right on the top. Man, look.

37:05Joe Johnson:And you know what I don't like, Joe? And you know what I can be honest? You know what I don't like? is toilet tissue, right? I'm confused on why the toilet tissue is always in the garbage can, wrapped up,

37:17Shannon Sharpe:curled up. You know what I'm talking about? They probably got the feminine product in there, Ocho. You can't flush that.

37:24Joe Johnson:Oh, that's what it is? Okay. Oh, that's what it is. A little red? Okay.

37:30Chad Johnson:You said that's the little one?

37:32Joe Johnson:A little red. A little red. Okay. I got it. I got it.

37:36Shannon Sharpe:Oh, no, man. I think this is a generational thing, Joe. I really do. And I also think it's a Southern thing. Because each is on. Y 'all have at it.

37:59Shannon Sharpe:Like I said, maybe it's just the way Mary and Barney raised us. That's just...

38:05Joe Johnson:Hey, you need you need you. You need. We got we got. Oh, Joe. But we got to we got to break. We got to break you out of this.

38:14Shannon Sharpe:We got to break you out of this. No, no, no, no. Yeah. Yeah. Because look, you got a you got a better chance of me eating a cookie. From the back. What kind of cookie? Being able to be able to pass gas around me. Hey, hey, hey, hey. That never happened.

38:32Joe Johnson:Hey, hey, Joe. you see how he talking right I'm going to get him I'm going to have him sucking on the toilet you see Joe yeah

38:46Shannon Sharpe:he ease into nothing

38:49Joe Johnson:he goes straight over the top hey Joe we over 30 years old ease into what

38:56Shannon Sharpe:we done ease into nothing first of all I'm at the age that old people at I'm at that age okay it's about that

39:09Joe Johnson:it's about that time huh if you pushing 60 I mean listen we on top of the hill we on the way down the hill it's time for us to start doing things we've never done before nah I'm good yeah nah I know you're not good nah hey I want you to go get your extra shower curtain from Target or Walmart

39:28Shannon Sharpe:I don't think I think all mine have like either got the tub and the shower. I don't have a curtain. Man, I hated that. I remember the first time I got an apartment and man, I couldn't take no shower. The curtain stick it to me. I mean, I'm like, I say, God!

39:49Shannon Sharpe:Joe! Man, I try to take a shower. It's all on my back.

39:54Chad Johnson:It's all stuck to my chest. Hey, man. You got the shower curtain in the tub. You got to put the shower curtain outside of the tub. I put the shower curtain outside the tub and stepped out like it broke my neck. Feet up in the air. Because it's wet. Hey.

40:10Joe Johnson:Hell nah.

40:13Shannon Sharpe:Man. Nah, man. I just, like I said. Man, look. Like I said, I had some experience. I think the thing, Joe, I was like, when you grow up washing in a tub, foot tub, number two tin tub. I don't know what y 'all call them. Y 'all call them a wash tub or tin tub, Joe? You call them a tub. So you had a foot tub, which is a little round, then you had a number two tin tub, which was the bigger ones. So when you take a shower, man, I just like, Lord, I don't really want a whole lot of life, but just let me have some running water and some air conditioning, and I'm good. I don't care what the house look like, but I just want a running water and I want an air condition.

40:58Mm.

40:59Shannon Sharpe:So now I got that. And plus the thing, I think the thing is, Ocho, like, you got to realize I had to go to the woods. So I'd be way over there. Spanky be way over there. We couldn't pass no gas in that. What? Man, Papa, Grady would have killed. What?

41:19Chad Johnson:Hey, that's a different time, Ocho. I know. Hey, listen. I'm still living like he in the 40s and 50s man Joe I'm saying you just walk around the house just passing gas you just don't me?

41:33Joe Johnson:I mean no I don't do it like that it's not like that I'm just saying in general like if I got to go it's okay if we together and you date me I get up and go to the bathroom whatever you got to do I got baby wipes in there make sure you know you do what's necessary so I don't want no crumbs. I don't want no turtle heads. You have to have that baby one. Oh, yeah. Yeah, you got, yeah. Get yourself together. Man, I ain't got no problem with none of that, Joe. If you got to, I love having, Joe, I swear for God, the best conversations, those deep conversations that most of the time women like to have that sometimes they make you uncomfortable to have are had when they're using the restroom or when I'm using the restroom.

42:15Joe Johnson:I have my best conversations like that, Joe.

42:18Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.

42:19Joe Johnson:Maybe it's me. I don't know.

42:21Shannon Sharpe:I just say, hey, Shannon, can you give me some toilet paper? Keep the door closed. I'm going to set it outside the door. Once I go back to where I am, you can open the door and grab it. Don't you open that door before I leave. Ocho, Ocho, I don't even walk around. I don't walk around my house without a shirt on. I don't walk around in front of me. No. No. What's the point of having all the muscles and having your shirt on in the house? You have to understand, Ocho. I grew up with my aunts and I grew up with my grandmother. You grew up. You grow on that. It's embedded. Ask any women that dealt with me, have they seen Shanna walk around without a shirt on?

43:02Shannon Sharpe:I don't. Hey, uncle. I have on short. Hey, we had to have them. Like I said, we were boys. And, you know, after we got a certain age, my grandma was like, boy, come up. Okay.

43:15Joe Johnson:Nah, man. Hey, I'm like. I'm like.

43:20Shannon Sharpe:I'll put you in the guest house. You. Why? You ain't gonna be pooting up in my house. And then.

43:29Joe Johnson:Nah, I'm, man, I'm healthy, man. Nope, nope. I just can't, I can't believe that, man. You don't take your shirt off. You wear your socks in the house. And I mean, she gotta close the door and she can't ask for toilet tissue. I mean, like, come on, you got, it's too many rules, huh? Ain't no rules. Too many rules.

43:49Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, Gene Simmons, you know Gene Simmons from Kiss. He criticized the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for inducting rap artists. The 75-year-old Kiss bassist has some choice words about hip-hop and its place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It's not my music. I don't come from the ghetto. It doesn't speak my language. I said in print many times, hip-hop does not belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, nor does opera symphony orchestras. It's called the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

44:23Damn.

44:24Shannon Sharpe:There are a lot of stuff. So you think your music speaks to everybody? Because, I mean, listening to him talk, he thinks his music speaks to everybody. I don't know if there's any music that speaks to everybody, but that's the whole point.

44:37Joe Johnson:Yeah.

44:39Shannon Sharpe:It's almost saying like a kicker and a punter shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame. Do they not play in the NFL? right it's still music in general yeah i mean that that's that's unfortunate that he does feel

44:53Joe Johnson:that way i would think someone like mr simmons would understand uh when certain artists regardless of genre of music reach a certain level of success and and in a catalog and in their resume speaks volumes to reach the pinnacle of being inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame it would be respected regardless of whether it's rock and roll or not whether it's hip-hop whether it's country um whatever it may be and the fact that he feels that way is it i mean it kind of sucks a little bit it kind of sucks but well if they hadn't if they hadn't stole

45:28Shannon Sharpe:everything that we created we have but you know that's not we'll have a conversation about that another date and time but i guess he forgot about that well he didn't be ashamed he's talking about he's not from the ghetto so in other words also half the people that listen to country ain't from the damn country

45:48Joe Johnson:that is true that is true

45:52Shannon Sharpe:but that's country don't speak to everybody and it's okay right I don't think he hopefully I live to get 75 but I think people say some of the dumbest things bro you think your music speaks to everybody. You think country or whatever the opera or whatever the case may be. Every genre of music doesn't speak to everybody. But just because it doesn't speak to you, that doesn't mean it's not worthy for being in a place beside you. Right. Right. A lot of people... Ocho, a lot of white people listen to hip-hop and rap. They ain't from no damn ghetto.

46:46Shannon Sharpe:Facts. Only ghetto they know about is what they see on TV or what they read about.

46:53Joe Johnson:Yeah. What made him say this? What hip-hop artist was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or was this just a generic question he was asked? He was asked, I mean,

47:03Shannon Sharpe:I would have to... Hold on.

47:11Shannon Sharpe:Uh, Twitter was quick to point out, it's why white artists are directly influenced by black musicians and still manage to be racist. Gene Simmons took their entire image from Patti LaBelle rock group LaBelle. Kids manager saw LaBelle's costume and asked the designer to create something similar. Copycat asked.

47:33Shannon Sharpe:I mean, you go back and look at, look at Lil Richard. go back and look at all those guys that was doing it before Elvis Presley right but y 'all don't really want to have these conversations

47:46Joe Johnson:there's a deep long and rich history of who did it first I'm not going to make it that kind of show but

47:54Shannon Sharpe:and stole it and pretend like y 'all came up with it black people created rock and roll just FYI I just want to put that out there. Yeah. Well, we're probably giving him too much legs anyway. But anyway, I just had to get it out of my chair. Oh, Joe and Joe, it's time to play a fade presented by PrizePix.

48:29Shannon Sharpe:Power play ahead of tomorrow's Lakers-Mavs game. DeAndre Ayton to have at least 13 points. Joe, what you thinking? Who they playing?

48:40Chad Johnson:Oh, the man. 13.

48:44Shannon Sharpe:He going to be below 13 or he going to be 13 or above? They playing in Dallas or LA? I think they playing in Dallas.

48:58Shannon Sharpe:Luka, AR, and Bron playing? Bron going to play. I think Luka gonna be out.

49:04Chad Johnson:Yeah, I got him. Yeah, he get 13. If Luka gonna be out, he get 13.

49:10Shannon Sharpe:No, they in LA.

49:14Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah, he definitely gonna get 13. Damn.

49:19Shannon Sharpe:If I had to know that, I could have went to the Clippers game. Friday in LA.

49:25Chad Johnson:Man, you ain't trying to do that. I was gonna do that.

49:28Joe Johnson:Okay, Joe. Oh, you was going to do that?

49:31Chad Johnson:No.

49:34Joe Johnson:Hey, Joe, every time I ask, let's go to a game. You know, now he was going to. Oh, boy, I tell you.

49:42Shannon Sharpe:This is the first time I had an opportunity. This is the first week I had an opportunity to just sit down. I ain't had to go nowhere. I just had to. Okay. I mean, I've been traveling. I mean, I was just like, this is the best. Right.

49:55Joe Johnson:I've been traveling too. You like to travel.

49:57Shannon Sharpe:I don't. What is it that you don't get about that?

50:00Joe Johnson:Well, you just said you was getting ready to go to a game, but you didn't hit me up and say, hey, you want to go to the game? I'm thinking about going to X, Y, and Z.

50:08Shannon Sharpe:I said I didn't know. I just said that in jest. I'm not going to no game. Now, if I was out there, because the All-Star game is this weekend.

50:20Joe Johnson:Well, let's go to the All-Star game.

50:22Shannon Sharpe:No, you don't want to deal with that. I had a total no on our behalf. what was what was gonna do we gonna go to the game you don't want to go it's too late now i pass on

50:36Joe Johnson:our behalf well damn i man joe you want to go to the all-star game this weekend yeah let's go

50:48Chad Johnson:at least somebody want to hang with me i'm just calling this bluff i know he's just talking

50:53Joe Johnson:Nah, Joe, we can go to the All-Star game.

50:57Shannon Sharpe:LeBron James will have at least eight assists. He'll have more than eight assists, bro? I got him having eight, yeah. Max Crispy. Max Crispy. Max Christie. At least seven rebounds and assists combined.

51:12Chad Johnson:Rebounds and assists. He back in L.A. Probably he going to be out there playing hard.

51:19Chad Johnson:I like Max Crispy. I like his energy and effort.

51:27Chad Johnson:Rebounds and assists.

51:28Shannon Sharpe:It ain't for six, ain't for seven. Three assists, four rebounds, that's it.

51:33Chad Johnson:It sound easy, don't it?

51:35Shannon Sharpe:Well, if he can't get that, I don't know what to tell you. Because you know it's going to be a lot of, the Lakers ain't like they marksmen.

51:42Chad Johnson:I'm saying he's starting, right, ain't he? Yeah, I get him that. I get him, I get him. There you go. All right, so we get, so we saying Aiden. Aiden going to have at least 13 points.

51:54Shannon Sharpe:LeBron will have more than eight assists. And Max Crispy will have at least seven rebounds and assists total.

52:04Chad Johnson:Yeah, I roll with it. I'm rolling with it. There you go.

52:20Chad Johnson:What's that?

52:22Joe Johnson:Hey, chat. I got a joke.

52:25Shannon Sharpe:Oh, Lord. What we got, Ocho?

52:28Joe Johnson:Joe and Uncle, you ready? Hey, chat, y 'all ready? You ready? Yeah. How does a cat like their steak cooked?

52:50Shannon Sharpe:it's got to be something with me in it medium nope

53:03Raw Raw

53:05Chad Johnson:Yeah Raw Yeah I said a cat

53:09Shannon Sharpe:Not a lion Last I checked A lion is a cat It's a big cat It's a feline

53:17Joe Johnson:Y 'all just roared Perfect No What is it? Raw it's bad

53:29Shannon Sharpe:it is bad here it's time to play our final segment of the evening it's time for Q I got that one right

53:37Joe Johnson:hey no you're supposed to it's rare but you're supposed to sound like a cat we did no you said raw what are you talking about you sound like a lion hey that was funny I like that one I'm going to use that on my kids Give us the what you call them.

53:57Shannon Sharpe:The graphics for Q &A.

54:08Joe Johnson:Hey, I'm talking about some roar.

54:10Shannon Sharpe:I said roar. Timber Norwood Jr., Ocho, you don't have to wait long. Super Bowl is in Atlanta in 2028, so you'll get to go to Magic City. Uh-oh.

54:21Joe Johnson:Let's turn up. I'm going to start saving now.

54:24Shannon Sharpe:Shook for offensive rookie of the year. Hey, big three, hope y 'all doing good. Ocho, thoughts on how close my Saints are of playoffs? ISO, don't get me started on my Pelicans.

54:36Chad Johnson:Oh, man.

54:37Shannon Sharpe:I still think they'll weigh the way. I mean, look, if you win the division, I don't know if they're going to get more than one team out of that division. The Rams are going to be good again. The 49ers are going to be good again. The Saints will be good again. Do we believe Detroit will be better? Do we think Green Bay, Chicago? I mean, all things being equal, you guys are probably like the 11th or 12th best team. That's being generous.

55:08Shannon Sharpe:I mean, all things being equal. Rams are better. Seahawks are better. Niners are better. Bears. Packers, that's five. Lions. The Eagles. Do we think the Cowboys are better than the Saints? Yep. Okay. NFC South. Y 'all in that division. So you got Carolina, which made it last year. Atlanta and Tampa.

55:51Shannon Sharpe:So, with that being said, y 'all probably like 10th, 11th, or 12th. I think Philly is better. I think Philly are better than the Saints. I think the Cowboys are better than the Saints. The Bears, Green Bay, and Detroit. The Rams, Seattle, and the 49ers. Y 'all are ways down. I'm sorry. Show for rookie of the year. Woo, pig suey. ISO, tell me about our hogs, their potential this season. Please, ISO. And my McFadden, greatest hog, good luck with the fame. People don't forgot. People done forgot. What you think about the pigs, Joe?

56:32Chad Johnson:Hey, hey. Okay, Ocho, we really got a real shot. I know we led by two freshmen. You know, Darius Acuff, who will definitely be a top ten pick in this NBA draft, Malik Thomas. But we got other guys, surrounding guys, guys who've been in college for, you know, some time. They're able to help out their veteran leadership. For me, as a Razorback and as a fan, I love when Billy Richmond Jr. and Carter Knox, these are our wing guys. They're forwards. They're defensive. They're defensive-minded. Their energy, their effort, their activity, it helps a lot. When they're playing at the top of their game, Uncle Ocho flying around, blocking shots, playing great defense, we almost impossible to beat.

57:20Chad Johnson:We almost impossible to beat. So, obviously, you know, we still got a little room left. You know, March Madness is going to be coming up here soon, but I expect us to be making a lot of noise in the SEC, baby. Yes, sir. Ocho, I don't know if we come down to the ACC and play against your Hurricanes. Miami? Miami? No. We might come down there and see y 'all, I don't know.

57:47Joe Johnson:I don't think y 'all wanna do that, Joe.

57:50Shannon Sharpe:And please. Thomas Dabney, Warren, Shea, what happened to your eye? Don't tell me you got caught by a Zoe in the parking lot too. What's wrong with my eye? You got that red dot, what happened, man? I don't know, I was asleep before I got on here. That's what I mean, I guess that's what it is, I was asleep, I don't know. Which one? This one or this one?

58:13Chad Johnson:No, the other one. You got like a little red spot in the corner.

58:21Shannon Sharpe:Rick Love. Oh, I love he got caught by hell of hands. What happened? Bet I was sleeping.

58:29Shannon Sharpe:Brian Mateos. Same people who needed their own halftime show also needed their own water fountain. Just disappointed, man.

58:38Joe Johnson:Ooh.

58:40Shannon Sharpe:That was a good one. J.J. Carver. If the NBA allowed fighting, AD would be out of the league. If the NBA allowed fighting.

58:52Joe Johnson:Hey, that's messed up, man.

58:54Shannon Sharpe:But it was different. I mean, no, they had real tough guys. You go back and look at Kevin Willis. You look at Oak. You look at Mason. Man, you look back. Xavier McDaniel. Charles Smith.

59:06Chad Johnson:Yeah. I'm looking for a fight.

59:08Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, Barkman. They had Mahor and Lamphere. They had real bumpers. Yeah, yeah, they got guys who,

59:18Chad Johnson:hey look, you know, they have guys they bring in, they bring in just for that action. We need you to go in there and cool that down right there. Tighten them up a little bit. Yeah, Ocho got it going, he out there popping it. Yeah, all right, we got something for you. Go down the middle if you want to.

59:35Shannon Sharpe:You won't go back down there. I did a good job in stopping Ocho from reminiscing about his high school basketball days. He was about to be reminiscing about that Haitian in the car and how y 'all had to fight that man. Now, Ocho, that's one thing about Ocho. Ocho, you know, hey, when somebody done got the best of him in that situation, he just chalk up his losses and just move it along. Ain't nothing to fight about. Nothing to fight about.

1:00:00Chad Johnson:Tell him, Ocho, there's plenty of fish in the sea now.

1:00:03Joe Johnson:Oh, boy, one thing about that, I keep a fishing pole with me.

1:00:05Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah. You hear me?

1:00:07Joe Johnson:Hey, hey, Joe, hey, Joe, I keep a fishing pole with me now.

1:00:11Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.

1:00:12Joe Johnson:Yes, sir.

1:00:14Shannon Sharpe:But I told you what, hey, Joe, my aunt, rest up so glad, she broke up with a guy. And my grandma loved a guy, cause he would go to church with my aunt, he'd come pick her up, did things, buy things for her. My aunt broke up with him, she did like, hey. And my grandma was like, ooh, I sure love that boy. I don't know why you broke up with him. And my aunt said, Mama, there plenty fishing to see. My granny deadpan said, Yeah, but you might not catch him.

1:00:43Chad Johnson:Mm. Mm. Yeah. Come on, man.

1:00:48Shannon Sharpe:Boy.

1:00:48Chad Johnson:Why you playing? Yeah.

1:00:51Shannon Sharpe:Hey, my grandma always had him. People say, Boy, you get your... My grandma was always slick with him. Yeah.

1:00:58Chad Johnson:Yeah.

1:01:00Shannon Sharpe:Swollen red. Unspeak in facts. commingo fam sure not taking all that food they can't go to take it yeah it's too much I'm mindful of that I'm like man I mean all this food like nah I'm good

1:01:16Chad Johnson:but look if you got a bad rapport with the team y 'all already ain't seeing eye to eye man come on get what y 'all want

1:01:22Joe Johnson:I'm telling you that's what he told them go ahead take what you want in there

1:01:27Shannon Sharpe:nah I don't want to eat that food I'm going to get on up out of there anyway I don't want nothing Samuel LeGrand, 89. Ocho, understand, but he don't agree. Ocho, understand, but he don't agree. Man, you know how Ocho is, man.

1:01:43Joe Johnson:On what part? I don't know. Oh, he's probably talking about the food.

1:01:47Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Fila 404. Hockey isn't told to join a few good men. Why? Isn't that a double standard? But look, there are a lot of double standards in said sports. but that's you understand said sport Ocho okay hockey y 'all can fight you know certain sports you can fight I mean you drop the gloves you know what time it is yeah baseball you drop your helmet we know we've been a bump

1:02:19Joe Johnson:baseball every so a baseball every so often you get a batter charge in the mouth

1:02:24Shannon Sharpe:yeah absolutely

1:02:26Joe Johnson:hey that's so exciting

1:02:28Shannon Sharpe:Or you admire your home run for too long. You better get your ass around the base. He throw that 96-mile-an-hour day in your ribs.

1:02:39Shannon Sharpe:DS3651, Ocho, I so love the show. Me and my wife been here since day one. Ocho, you said you were getting a dog. Check your DM. Man, Ocho gone too much. He ain't getting no dog.

1:02:50Joe Johnson:Yeah, but I might have all white everything in here, but dog will. Uh-uh.

1:02:57Shannon Sharpe:No, sir. Swollen red. I'm from Miami, but I can't claim the guppies. I don't blame you.

1:03:07Shannon Sharpe:Teddy Hart, 29-13, make an all-star MVP override the 65-game rule to remain eligible for season awards. Guys would actually try, guaranteed. No, only a handful of guys going to be eligible for it. Right. I mean, for the most part, guy ain't coming out of nowhere to win that award. Oh, the game is in L.A. So normally when the game is in, like, somebody on that team, which is Kawhi, Luka, obviously it's going to be in Kawhi's building. You kind of try to push Kawhi to get it. But the international, they loaded. So that might be Luka time. Joey, is that how y 'all did it? If somebody, let's just say, it was in Atlanta.

1:03:48Chad Johnson:Right, right. They would, you know, make sure you got your fair share of plays to be able to make that happen. but man listen with it being in LA Uncle Ocho I think that boy Luke is going to be out there trying to show out you already know it you already know I know it's in Clipper building but shh

1:04:10Shannon Sharpe:Terry Bullard said we need to try to get D-Law on the show we'll get on that we'll have our people try to reach out and we'll definitely try to get him on Jordan B. High as F what's y 'all opinion on Zyre Franklin and Jeff Teague situation on 520 the other day. Love watching you guys. Nightcap for life. Look, I don't know. What happened?

1:04:31Chad Johnson:I didn't really see it.

1:04:32Shannon Sharpe:What happened? I didn't see it either. I guess they were just – I don't really know. I just saw that it seemed like it got really contentious. I don't really know what they were talking. I think Jeff was like, we're more famous. We're more known. Make more money. I really don't know. I just think it probably shouldn't have went there. But the simple fact is, like, if we got a contributor coming on, this is how I look at it, though, Joe. You let me know what you think. We got a contributor coming on. You know, I don't really look at Joe, but let's just say for the sake of argument last year, Joe coming on.

1:05:13Shannon Sharpe:Joe have his opinion on something. My job is not trying to shoot that down. Right. And so I just think, you know, and look, we're competitive. if we're, you know, testosterone still pump, how I know mine do, you know. But look, like I said, I don't know Frank. Watched him. I know Teague a little bit. Had some conversations with him. But guys, I really don't know enough of how it started. I just saw what was trending and was going back and forth. But I would have to, like, go back and sit down from the beginning and see what precipitated it and what led it to get to where it got.

1:05:57Chad Johnson:Right. Same here because I didn't – I just – I seen the frenzy that it caused, but I didn't really – I didn't see the interview or whatever they was talking.

1:06:05Shannon Sharpe:Scruffy ULTD, give it up to the fam. Jared Reed, 90 Seattle defense from Golden. Goldsburg, North Carolina. Goldsburg, how I stand up. Just another kid from Goldsburg. You guys did it. Alabama alum. Only ID, top five NFL fans on my list. The Mannings, the Sharps, the Kelsys, the Watts, the Barbers. What's your guys? That seems like a pretty good list to me. Yeah, that was a good one.

1:06:32Chad Johnson:That's a cool list to be a part of too, man.

1:06:40Shannon Sharpe:You're talking about brothers. I mean, cause the Matthews. Now, Clay's dad, Clay Matthews Sr., and then Bruce Matthews, his son, is an old tackle. But I think their dad also played in the league, just like Peyton and Eli's dad, Archie, played in the league. But it's a good list. I ain't going to fight y 'all. We'll stick with this one.

1:07:11Shannon Sharpe:That concludes this episode of Nightcap. We want to thank each and every one of you guys for joining us. We really, really appreciate that. We're back tomorrow night as well.
