It was a family atmosphere. year. I went to visit the campus. The facilities were amazing. I knew before I left that that was the school that I was going to attend. Rasmussen University. 2:26Copenhagen, celebrating American craftsmanship. Proven since 1822. Warning, this product is not a safe alternative to cigarettes. Hey, hey, I want to apologize to Chad. Tony Allen, he's not going to make it on here tonight with us. He said he's going to try to join us tomorrow. I meant to say that earlier. That's my bad, my apologies. Hey, moving on. Detroit will loom large as suitors for Kevin Durant if he were to ever want out of Houston given a strong relationship with K. How many more years do y 'all give Houston and KD that experience over there, man? How much longer y 'all think? Smooth, what you think?

3:04Smooth, what you think? How much longer you think KD and Houston or should Detroit be on the line? You know what I mean? Because if Detroit was to get KD, we know what that's going to look like, bro. I think I think they need to go ahead and get on that line. After they found that burner account, man, I thought that was. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah. You know, he wouldn't have throwed at the teammates. I thought he was. Hey, think about this. Hold on, it's funny you say that. It's funny you say that, Smoove. If you had a teammate and you found something like that out, bro, that they were saying something about you, especially this big guy on the team, like how you gonna feel about it?

3:43How you gonna look at him? You probably, when you see him, you'll probably throw the what's up. It ain't even the guy on the team. It's the guy that you looked up to probably. Yeah. You get what I'm saying? These little kids to KD, bro. These kids, you know, they were buying his shoes when he was in middle school, stuff like that. You know what I mean? So hearing that from your idol, it's a little different. Not no older kid. Like, I wouldn't trip about a guy being a man on the team. I mean, you know, somebody told me it's the difference between franchise and french fries. Hello, franchise and french fries.

4:19Know the difference. You know, know the difference fast, Josh. I hear you understand when you franchise or when you the french fries. You understand something? Jeremy, what'd you think? You can see him in Detroit, bro. Would you like Detroit to get him? What'd you think? First off, how much longer we got with this Houston experience? as long as KD averaging 27 is an experience wherever he is. Wherever he is, it's experience. I don't do no KD's. KD is one of them. One of them. So you said that he's getting real shaky. Real shaky. KD going to be KD. That is tough, bro. I'm just trying to figure out when they gonna get in the gym together, these Houston Rockets, when they all gonna get in the gym together.

5:12What you mean? Hey, man, KD working out with more WNBA players than he is with his other team. I'm just trying to figure out. I'm just trying to figure out where he's going, you know what I'm saying? Luka got all them going out there the way he at. I'm trying to figure out when they gonna put one together in Houston where they can try to figure out. You know, we got the Thompson twins they look like they was boxing. I ain't like to see that. I thought they was, you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah. I wanna see some jump shots. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Hey look, you know what? It's funny you say that because I think it could be possible, Smooth, Jeremy.

5:51Like he could get traded, bro. You know, cause you gotta understand, man. Y 'all gotta understand how somebody can, you know, kind of divide a locker room. Or how you can look at a person, how you can view them. Yeah, you can still keep your respect for them. but then you're like damn dude really said that about me for real you know what i mean but obviously it's our job to still go out and compete play hard you know make guys better this is our profession this is what we do and these are certain things that you kind of have to deal with at times you know what i mean you ain't gotta like everybody who you working with but hey y 'all gotta get it done you feel what i'm saying yeah for sure yeah think about this kd kevin durant compare lebron james joining the sixes to him joining the warriors chat let's take a listen to what KD said today.

6:34Welcome back. Do you feel like they're contenders? I'm sure. You don't think so? No, I'm just asking you. Last time they put both three 20-point scores on the team, they said it was unfair, which is the team I was on. They got four 25-point scores on this team. So hell yeah, they're going to be a contender, man. They're going to be a great team to watch. Smooth, what'd you think? What'd you think? Oh, man, he didn't compare them, did he? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm saying. I think the Warriors won by what? Two before he got on that right? Yeah, they won two before he got there. Then when he got there, smooth.

7:12I ain't going to do that. I ain't going to do that, KD. They won one. They won one. They won one. They won one. Yeah, they did. They did because they got four. They got four. You're right. You're right. They won one and two and then one after. Yeah. Okay, you're right. You're right. So, no, I have to respectfully disagree with that. You don't think the Sixers – you don't think LeBron joining the Sixers is compared to – Maybe more like what Boston did. With Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen? Kevin Garnett, yeah, with that group, maybe that one because they haven't won one yet. Like Philadelphia hasn't won a championship yet.

7:52So that's what the controversy was when he came to the team and they had the best record in the history of the game. That's what the controversy was. It wasn't him joining a really good team. It was what they had accomplished before he joined it. Right, right. You're absolutely right. Jeremy, what you think? What you think? Kevin Durant saying LeBron joining the Sixers, that's just like him joining the Warriors. That's cheating. I think it's damn close. But the difference is it's a difference to it now because all those guys in Philly, they just come together. They hadn't been together for a little while.

8:27You know what I'm saying? And if Brian did this at 35, 36, it's a different feel. I would be more inclined to say, yeah, yeah, it's the same thing. But right now, I don't want to say he's on a decline because to be playing at 42 years old and averaging over 20 in the NBA is unbelievable. But them going to that team, that team is a lot, man. There's three guys that average 25 and above. Like that's heavy, bro. That's heavy. Only thing is you got to figure it out early. And that's what Kevin Durant is saying. He's saying, man, listen, the last time we put three 20-point-plus scores on the team, y 'all said we was cheating.

9:03Hell, they got four. Yeah. You know, so I understand what he's saying on that part, and I understand what you're saying too, Smooth, that the Warriors had already won one prior to KD coming. Obviously, them having one of the best records, or if not the best record in the league. and them and KD being up 3-1 on the Warriors before going on. So I understand that part. But man, listen, I don't really know what chat. I don't really know what y 'all think. But LeBron to Philly, bro, I just think it's going to be a match made in heaven with all these fast sports cars you got, meaning Maxi, Edgecombe, JB.

9:47Boy, he going to fit right in. I'm talking about because he going to. He gonna be a distributed pass first guy and I think he gonna do whatever it takes move and Jeremy to win another title and To bring one to Philly. That's probably the next biggest market because if it wasn't for all this Brown would have went to New York They ain't hey, he may not come out and say it but if they hadn't won He was going to New York, bro. He was gonna play and he was gonna play for the Knicks. That's the next biggest market Outside of LA I could see it happening. So he like damn. What's the next biggest market?

10:18I'm gonna go to Philly They got a huge market. You know what I mean? And historically, like I said earlier, Smooth, Philly hadn't really won nothing, bro. They hadn't won a title in forever, Jeremy. So he finna go there, change the culture, hopefully with the hopes of winning a title. Man, this gonna help his legacy. Absolutely. Oh, yeah. It's gonna help his legacy. Check this out. I hope, oh, man, please, I hope this ain't true. It said LeBron. I swear I hope this ain't true. It says LeBron will live in New York while playing for the Sixers, which could make his Philly commute a major storyline.

11:00A helicopter ride will reportedly take around 45 minutes and cost about 4K one day. But NYC rules fog, wind, and winter weather could make it tricky. Smooth, Jeremy. Smooth, I'm going to start with you first. Is this smart, bro? Nah, I definitely don't. Not with that bad weather up there. You get all that pollution and all that, you know, I mean, I'm pretty sure, what is New Jersey right next to it or something? Is it New Jersey? Yeah, all that's right there together. They might go New Jersey, you know? I mean, but you know, he having so much paper, he can get a little driver. He can, you know, he can rent him a little Sprinter, he can get him a little Sprinter van and go and go in the back of it.

11:43Yeah, what you think, German? Y 'all know what it is to have home and have your apartment close to the gym. Y 'all know what it is. Man, that man going to New York. He going to New York. I lived in Philly. I had a little cup of coffee over there, but I ain't even get to drink my coffee. So I've been. I ain't going to sip my coffee over there. Got to be a pot of coffee. Get out of here. Man, listen. Thinking about, I ain't going to lie to y 'all. I ain't going to lie to y 'all. I hope it ain't true, bro. Man, just get you a nice penthouse or a nice crib in Philly, bro. I, hey, hey, hey, it broke my heart some odd years ago about Kobe, bro.

12:18I just ain't gonna lie. I ain't gonna even lie. I look at helicopters different. I'm gonna keep it 100 with y 'all. I don't wanna see, bro, and have that commute. You know what I mean? Hey, hey, bro, don't do it, my boy. You know, I know you like NYC, man. Take the sprint up there from time to time here. Get you a nice fat crib in Philly, bro. Don't do it, man. Don't do it. Don't do it. Hey, what's the farthest y 'all would ever commute, you know, to a game, to and from? Like, what's the farthest y 'all ever had to commute to a game? Man, I played overseas, brother. I've been on a goddamn seven-hour bus rides before.

12:53I know that hurt. As a matter of fact, just playing overseas a couple months ago. We were in the finals. It's a five-hour bus ride there and back. So you stay a hotel the night before. Regular season, though. Yeah. Bus at 11, drive to the gym, warm-up, play, get on the bus and go back.

13:15So, Smoove, what's the longest you had to travel to, like on game day, you like, dang, I gotta get out here, it gonna take me a minute. Man, it ain't been there, maybe about 30 minutes, 35. Well, that was bougie, ain't it? That was traffic. Where you were playing at, where it took that long? In Atlanta, you know what I'm saying? I had a look at Kennesaw, though, like Marietta area, you know, them rides used to be brutal. Oh yeah, oh yeah. Them two. Man, let me tell y 'all something. Man, when I was playing for the Brooklyn Nets, this one, Brooklyn Nets, you know, we first opened it up. Me, D-Will, Brooke Lopez.

13:52Yeah, I did, I did. So we, I was playing for the Brooklyn Nets. We were still practicing in East Rutherford, New Jersey, but the arena was in Brooklyn. But so everybody stayed close in New Jersey to stay close to the practice facility because obviously you go there every day. And I was kind of like in between. I was living in Manhattan, so I had to drive to Jersey to practice. And then you got to go to the, hey, bro, on game day, bro, I ain't gonna allow to commute. It's probably at least an hour and a half. In a car. In a car. It's hard, bro. It was so challenging, you know, traveling to a game.

14:27Now everything is in Brooklyn. You know, obviously the practice facility that everybody live over there now. But when I first got to, when I first started playing for the Brooklyn Nets, bro, we all was living in Jersey and commuting or living in Manhattan and commuting over the, That would brutal, my boy. Hey, look, Amtrak, they trying to recruit LeBron. I think that's a... Amtrak is a... Is that a train? Yeah. That's an airline. What is that, Amt? That's a train. Yeah, a train from New York to Philly, for sure. They talking about the train. Yeah, they trying to recruit LeBron, bro. They trying to get him something to do, and they probably gonna throw him a few M's.

15:03Hey, we'll throw you about 15 M's. You know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah. take this commute. Get you there in an hour? Bro, man, just live in Philly, bro. Just live in Philly. Just go visit New York. I don't want the man having to commute every day. Smooth in Germany. You mean y 'all want the man having to commute from New York to Philly every day? Hey, man, there's some money involved somewhere. There's some money involved somewhere. Somebody paying something for him to live in New York, even if he even think about it. Somebody paying something. Because Amtrak ain't dead. They got it if they want to give it.

15:35They got it. Welcome to On the Field, today's hottest sports stories presented by On Nicotine Pouches. Breaking news here, the Onvitational is officially launching this October. Rich Paul thinks the Sixers belong to Tyrese Maxey. He said this is Tyrese Maxey's team. Do y 'all agree with Rich? Smooth? He's been there the longest.

18:49And he's the youngest. They drafted him, so they definitely believe in him. so I definitely feel like that's definitely his team and it probably needed to be said so to give him kind of confidence because can you imagine him, you know, having a team get loaded up on him in the summertime of guys that he probably grew up watching? Yeah. You know, I wouldn't say intimidated, but, you know, he was probably, you know, thinking about do I have to defer to some of these guys when they get back on, you know, when we get to the season, but him hearing that reassurance from, you know, Rich Paul and probably a lot of those other guys that are in the locker room that's coming to the organization, that this is his team.

19:30I think that it's good. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. He's going to be great. Hey, check this out, Jeremy. It says, league executives believe that if Maxie Brown, LeBron, and Embiid experiment fails, Joel Embiid will be the first player traded for Anthony Davis, especially if health remains an issue. They also believe LeBron and Rich already calculated their plan before signing with the Sixers and won't let LeBron's final years depend on MB's health. Jeremy, what you think, bro? You think his legacy, you think if the Sixers don't get out to a great start, they're going to trade and be, he'll be the first one to go?

20:11Boy, there's a lot of things that go on behind them doors. Ain't it, God damn. Like you hear everybody talking about Bron is Willing to sign certain places if they go get Kyrie Or AD Now that shit just adds more weight to that Yeah But we talking about health AD ain't the picture of health either Hold on hold on now AD It's been reported now AD say he gonna play all 82 games this year Jeremy Can you see that happening? I said I was gonna find a billion dollars when I walked out my door I ain't found shit Should I go check again? Should I go check again? Say what? I'm going to check again because I ain't seen my money.

20:5482 is a lot. And listen, listen, I hope he does play all 82. He's from Chicago. He's from my neighborhood. I hope he does play all 82. But the likelihood of anyone playing 82 games this year is low. Yeah, I think if this experiment right here fails, though, fellas, I can kind of see them trying to get off Embiid. He probably, hell, I think he'd make the most money over there. Obviously, Bron is the most expendable, but, I mean, with him making$4 million, man, come on. But if Joel Embiid is healthy, Joel Embiid is one or two best big in the NBA. No, no question. No question. No, not trade Joel Embiid, especially if you're coming into the season in shape.

21:36He ain't going nowhere. Brother, sit down. Play only 50 games. Come on in this playoff time and come in healthy. I said that. Yeah, you don't even try to play. I don't even play them a whole lot of games. That's what I said. Just half of it. And I think if you don't play, I think some of those guys should miss games anyway, especially older guys. Because we just talked about Rich saying that it was Maxie's team. It sounds great, but you need the right people to say that. Your age isn't the same weight as LeBron coming out and saying it. and being when those guys said that holds weight and now you know that those guys on that court really believe in you because i guarantee you it's lebron james you got you got some kind of uh what's the correct term when you when you you you you cater you got to cater to him a bit in your head because he is one of the greatest players to ever touch a basketball so sometimes you're gonna be thinking okay let's brown let me get out of the way but if lebron tells him it's his now you're like okay i got i got the insurance from big homie let me go let me be who i am and And that's what it's going to take.

22:39I think it takes the right people to let him know that. And when it does, even if Embiid says, I think Embiid has said it in the past, but if Embiid comes in healthy, I don't think you can find a better player than that. So you think Embiid is the man for the job. You're saying them trading for AD. Do you think AD would be a better fit? At what position? Embiid going to be on that block. Ain't no guarding him down there. Get out of my way. I'm doing what I want. That's if he's healthy, though. We ain't seen him healthy in how long, fellas? I mean. But they just reported that he had a surgery. He had a surgery.

23:19That's the first time in some years. I think he's just got surgery anyway. Just let me tighten up. Nah, nah, nah. Check this out. Hey, Dylan Brooks says he would want to box Jimmy Butler. Dylan Brooks would ask, if you could box any player right now, who would you box? Smooth, what's up with Dylan Brooks, bro? Why he wanna box Jimmy Butler? Man, I think he just fell in love with that villain role, man. You know what I'm saying? He letting people know he light-skinned, but he really dark-skinned. All the dark-skinned brothers, man. He got beat with all of them. He got beat with Jimmy Butler. He got beat with LeBron.

23:58You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Oh yeah, he just trying to take out. He got a hit list, a dark-skinned hit list, man. Yeah, Jeremy, what'd you think about Dylan Brooks wanting to box Jimmy Butler, bro? I think it's a good show. I mean, does he get the contracts he's gotten if he wasn't the villain? Nope. I think he's doing a great job at what he's doing. Shout out to him. I think Dylan Brooks is one of those guys that you hate to play against and he irritates you. Like, yo, shut the fuck up. But you love him on your team. Yeah, I think he's one of those guys. Because he had a great year in Phoenix.

24:34He averaged like 20 some points. He averaged 20 plus. Hey, both of y 'all make great points, Smooth. I love what you said, and you're right. He is embracing that villain role. Hey, he wants to be that agitator. He wants to be the guy who can try and manipulate the game in a whole nother way. You know what I mean? Okay, boom, if I can get on the bronze skin, piss him off a little bit, you know what I'm saying? Like, maybe I got him. You know, now, not only is he using those tactics, but he got his game to back it up. You know what I'm saying? Averaging 22, 23 at night. You go to Phoenix, bro. You got your hands full every night.

25:11Yeah. And he bringing it, bro. He done learned some hard lessons. He's changed the culture pretty much everywhere he's been. And look, you got Phoenix. Hold on. Did Phoenix make the playoffs? They did make the playoffs. They lost to OKC. Yeah, they lost to OKC. So I know they dealt with a lot of health issues with Devin Booker and other guys, but I'm ready to see Phoenix Fuller help Dylan Brooks back out there competing at a high level, changing the culture. Man, the West, the West is thick over there, boy. The West is thick. Hey, look, check this out. Better than the East? Hold on, he said Jimmy Butler.

Read the full transcript

25:51He said, what'd you say? I said, you said the East was the best conference for sure. Yeah, I'm saying the East picking up. I'm saying the West stick, bro. It's top heavy. You know, when the top four, five teams, and we'll be talking about the Lakers, but Dylan Brooks said Jimmy Butler is all about basketball for sure, but I feel like some things went too far. He said, I always feel the animosity when you play against them. Yeah. What y 'all think? Where did animosity come from? What's the history? I ain't seen no history of them having a beef. I know you got a team. Hey, hey, hey, hey. When I had beef with somebody, me and Smo had beef, I went over there and grabbed up on his ass.

26:34Pargo, I ain't about no playing. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I'm going. Hey, anybody lifting all of them weights you lifting, man? You used to throw them things around, man. You used to throw them things around. Go ahead on. Hey, all right. Moving right along. Check this out. Bleacher Report ranked the best starting NBA lineups. our top 10 teams. This is in order. 76ers, OKC, the Knicks, Pacers. Pacers four. Damn. Nuggets, Spurs, Cavs, Hawks. Okay. Rockets, Raptors. They said Pacers and the Nuggets over the Spurs. Come on, bro. What we talking about here? Come on. They're from Bleacher Report, Full Court Press.

27:19They come out with anything now they ain't on it, man. Keep it 100. Hey, hold on. Hold on. Hold on, Jeremy. We were just talking about this the other day when we had Teague on. And we were talking about the Pacers. And I was telling him about, you know, your older brother, Genero Pargo, who's an assistant coach over there. My player partners. And we was in college. We played college ball together. So I always root for the Pacers. But I don't see it, boy. How can you see that? Like, at four? At four, bro? They above the Nuggets and the Spurs, Smooth. That's crazy. Come on, man. about the calves either how you put them about a cash just starting lineup come on bro if you talking about chemistry okay cool let's talk chemistry but we talking about just starting line up now yeah that's that's it's insane look spurs ceo rc buford says 8 10 which is august 10 spurs are heading to paris next week to train with victor you rarely see an entire core travel across the Atlantic in August just to work out together.

28:28Wimby is already in France after unveiling the new community court. What y 'all think about all those guys, bro? Spurs coming back with Avengers this year. What you think about all those guys going over there to train with him? Smooth, what you think about that? I think that's dope, man. I think that's letting everybody know who has the keys to that organization. at the end of the day. But that's what I was trying to, you know, that's what I was asking earlier about, you know, when is Houston going to be able to get together and have a moment like that where, you know, they playing and getting together before the season starts because I think that builds a lot of team chemistry.

29:10You know, they already had a disappointing letdown to the finals. So I think all those guys are super young. Yep, yep. It helped them gain a lot of experience. And them doing this in August is going to make them deadly for the beginning of the season, for sure. Jeremy, what you think? What you think about them Spurs, baby? Smooth said that man got the keys to the organization. That man got the keys, the doors, the bolts. That man got everything. They taking the whole team to friends, to practice, to live weights. That man got everything you can imagine. They going to him. Hey, hey. As they should.

29:44You ain't lying, bro. So, hey, he gonna run the NBA for quite some time, fella, at least for the next eight to 10 years, like, real talk. Now, I ain't saying they gonna win it every year, but I'm saying as far as, like, MVPs, he probably gonna, in the next eight, by the next seven, eight years, he probably gonna have by at least two, three of them things, boy. Rightfully so. I just wanna, I wanna see him put it, you know, I wanna see him have one of the dishonest builds when it comes to that body, you know what I'm saying? Like, I like when those tall builds like that, you know, catered to the weight room as well.

30:16So I think that's gonna be the biggest growth in his, you know, what is it? Second or third year? Is this his third year? Wimby? This is his third year. He going into his fourth year, Jeremy? He going into his fifth. He's just got, no, he's going into his fourth. He's got an extension. Yeah. Okay, yeah, so he going into his fourth and he's already in the finals. It's crazy. Yeah, listen, check it. Go ahead, Smoove, my bad. Go ahead, go ahead. Parley was about to. Dylan Harper on Wimby Yama and his decision to take less than the maximum extension. He said, Dylan Harper said, I feel like for a 22-year-old, he's probably one of the best leaders I've been around.

30:55Just the way he carries himself, his maturity from top to bottom, whether it's basketball, treatment, in the weight room, personal life. I feel like he's kind of structured his life in a way that has worked for him. and I think he's the most genuine person I've ever met. When they came out, I felt like, yes, it was a surprise to everyone, but, I mean, that's just the type of dude he is, bro. Like, you know what I mean? That says a lot, bro, about the guys you go to war with when they step up and, you know, say great positive things about you. Dude, he took less, you know, so they would be able to still kind of keep this core together.

31:34What y 'all think about that? Tell me y 'all, you know, what y 'all think about Dylan Harper and the way he looks up to Victor. What you got, Jeremy? I think that was a mature answer by a young fella for sure. Very mature answer. And you hear reports about Victor cutting his phone off at 9 o 'clock. That man deserves everything that's coming to him. I ain't going to sleep at 9. We on nightcap. We ain't going to sleep at 9. He's going to sleep at 9 o 'clock. That man is worth every penny they give him. And to have a guy like that that has the character to take less so the team can win. And that ultimately helps him.

32:11Tom Brady did it in the NFL for years. And that pedigree is a winning pedigree, man. They're going to find somebody else to come in and help them to get them over that final hump at some point. I don't know if it's going to be this coming year, but at some point, young fella will get over that hump. And his leadership and the way he carries himself is going to carry him over the top. Facts, facts. Speaking of Dylan Brooks, I mean, speaking of Dylan Harper being mature, Or they'll hop on whether it matters if he's a starter or coming off the bench next season. No. I feel like regardless, I'm in the NBA.

32:41There's only like 450 people in the NBA. And I get a chance to go on the court and play with the best of the best. I feel like those kind of things or those logistics at the end of the day, in the big scheme of things, it's not going to affect me and how I approach the game every day. Meaning he's saying he ain't tripping by him coming off the bench. He been hearing that everybody talking about he should be a starter. He like, bro, I'm gonna play whatever role I need to play. What y 'all think about that? What you think about that, Jeremy? Yeah, I think it's a great answer by a young fella again, but do we believe that?

33:13Yeah, I don't, Smoot, you running with that? You believe it? And they better make space for him. I think once you get a taste of what he got a taste of his first year, I think, I believe him. I mean, man, you willing to sacrifice a lot of stuff when you come into the league as a rookie and you go to the finals. And you're an impactful player and you're contributing. So I think I believe him. I believe him. You know, I don't think he is saying long term, but, you know, I think, you know, as he keeps developing as a rookie and going into his second year, I believe him, especially with what he's accomplished his first year.

33:52Yeah, yeah. Listen, I'm a huge fan of Young Fellas game. I watched him at Rutgers. I just love his flow his flow state bro the way he plays always under control at his own pace and don't get it twisted because he'll bang out on you too while you playing you think he come just skipping through the lane he'll bang out on you man dude got plenty of game I didn't think the Knicks really had an answer for him I'm gonna be honest with you I didn't think the Knicks really had an answer for him this right now is where the coaching comes into play you got Champagny at the four right if you want to play small ball because you have Wimby that's long and athletic at the five, you can play small ball.

34:31You can slide him into that starting role and bring Champagne off the bench. Just bring him in early. Let everybody eat. This is where coaching and staggering minutes and all that comes in. So I think it's Brandon Johnson, correct? That's head coach, right? It's Brandon Johnson, right? Mitch Johnson. I actually played against Mitch in college. And his IQ of understanding is really going to stand out right now because he got to find a way to stagger those minutes because he's got a lot of players, man. He's got a lot of players. And I think they have a chance to really do something with the way he sets these minutes going forward.

35:04I agree, man. I agree. When your team buy into your system, bro, and they play hard for you and they play hard for one another and you got talent. Yeah. Smooth, what are they going to do with Fox, bro? What are you going to do with Fox? You keep Fox? What are we doing? You keep him for like another year or two to help groom Dylan Harper into that starting position, starting point guard position, maybe one more year. What do you think, Jeremy? I think that's the right thing to do. You keep Fox. People are on his back a lot in the playoffs, but I don't think he deserved all that. You know, it's basketball.

35:39Things happen in the game that you can't control. But that man has proven that he's a great basketball player. Mike Brown tried to warn them folks, man. He was a Sacramento before they fired him, man. When he tried to warn them. He said, I told him don't foul for the three-pointer. I told everybody not to foul for the three. A day later, boy, you saw that man up out of there, man. How ironic he win the championship off of some low IQ player. You know what I mean? Man, listen. I think that's the best move not to trade him. Considering the fact, man, you led by double figures in every game in the finals with him at the helm.

36:24You know what I'm saying? Maybe I got to tweak a few things. Obviously, I think guys going to get better. The mentality going to be different coming in the next season. Hell, Wimby probably going to make a whole other leap that will probably be able to get you over the hump. Because at the end of the day, in all those games, Wimby was the one who died out at the end. If we just keep it in the beam. You know what I mean? Yeah, he kept shooting them jump shots, kept falling in love with that three ball. He was tired, smooth. All that banging, that physicality. I'm supposed to meet him at half court.

36:51Well, with it. You got to wear him down. So that's why we got to get a Knicks so much love and admiration because it's like we understood what they were doing, being physical with him, and then hoping, okay, in the fourth quarter, all these shots he made, and they ain't going to be going down. And that's kind of what happened. You know what I mean? You just got to get more conditioned. Like, you got to see kids understand. If I train my body, like, condition-wise, running on the track, running those miles, getting those sprints in, getting that heavy cardio in to be able to withstand stuff like that.

37:25You know, a guy consistently just beating on you and, you know, that comes from conditioning. You know what I'm saying? Oh, yeah. You got to be heavily conditioned to be able to take all that beating, man. It turned into some boxing matches after a while, man. Oh, no. With him being so young, though, as he gets older, he's going to figure out, like, yo, I'm not trying to drive past Cat at the top of this key. Let me go get to my spot where I can get an easier bucket, an easier look. He was trying to play Down the trail spot catching and trying to go Man you wasn't getting around right there Walk him down mid post Walk him down mid post Take you one dribble Now you had to ram like a You know like it's a chuggy cheeky rim But hold on smooth smooth I'm not letting him get down to no damn mid post We gonna fight at half point I'm just gonna walk you like this I'm gonna put that forearm in your chest And I'm gonna stand you up every time I'm gonna get you in five trouble I'm going to put that forearm on you.

38:19I'm going to stand up now, big fella. I can't let you get out of here to this block. I can't let you get nothing. By the time you get down of that block, you're going to have three seconds, boy. You're going to have a firecracker in your hand when they throw it to you. I got to hurry up and get that thing up out of there. You know what I'm saying? Oh, no, sir. Nah. He got to come down there. He got to come down like how KG used to come down there, sprinting down there like he finna throw sharp elbows at you. Coming down there like he just looking right in your eye like he finna just elbow you and post up hard on you.

38:46You got to psych it out, bro. Hey, Smooth, they don't teach the game like that no more. Sprint the flow, when you hit him in the paint, hit him, boom, spin, catch it, get big. They don't teach that no more, Smooth. It ain't a lot of rim and rimmers, man. That one hard. That one hard. What kind of shoe y 'all think you gonna come out with, bro? What y 'all think it's gonna look like? Give me something. She's gonna look like what? She like bread loaf.

42:52I don't know what it looks like. I know I have a big man shoes and say, y 'all think they gonna sell? Nah, it's gonna sell. It's gonna sell for sure. You don't think so smooth? No. I think depending on what it look like. Depending on what it look like, because y 'all gotta understand now that that's the Now, that boy from Paris, he's going to sell out now. Yeah. Let's talk about how many signature shoes we got nowadays and how we have. It was so limited back in the day when we played. Oh, man. Everybody got a signature shoe now. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Hey, that money, man. They put that battery in your back, that advertising, man.

43:37Hey, they got to get it. Yeah. Yeah, they got to get it. Superstars, though, man. Some of these boys deserve it. You got to give Shea a shoe. Wimby got to have a shoe. Yeah, but it's like this though. You, why? Why you gotta give them a shoe? If they ain't selling it, why you gotta get, like who's selling shoes right now? John Moran and who else? Uh, hold on, hold on, Ant-Man. Ant-Man, see them the ones that deserve shoes, who buying like people. Hold up, Shea, Shea. They sell out. Shea shoes selling, Braun shoes selling. I ain't never seen nobody with them Converse on, bro. Sell out. You ain't never seen nobody with them shades on?

44:12No, no, bro. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Smooth, you know Nike owns Converse, and he moved. He signed with Nike, right? Yeah, he done signed with Nike. That's a game changer, Tim, though. Huh? This shoe gonna sell now. Smooth, I think this shoe doing pretty good now, though. You're trying to sell out, Smooth. He from Canada, though. He from Canada, though. You said you might see him in Canada. Hold on, hey, hey, hey, you come over my house, Smooth, you gonna see about two, three pair of them. You hear me? Yeah, I got about two, three pair of them shades now. I ain't gonna lie, Smooth. You know, hey, hey, hey, cuz see, when I'm playing, you know, I like to get lower when I'm cutting them corners.

44:49You know what I'm talking about? I cut them corners, then them Shae, boy, you can get lower and cut them corners. I like a flat shoe. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah. Hey, Shae got a nice shoe, bro. That's a nice shoe. I ain't, I'm just saying, I ain't see them. I ain't getting that. In Atlanta, they not wearing it. I don't know, the kids ain't really. They got the Ant-Man, Ja Morant, over to Ja Morant, for sure. Oh yeah, oh yeah. Ja killing the game. He killing the game when it comes to shoot. Him and them James Harden. They were them James Harden too. It used to be KD back in the day a lot.

45:21People used to - Hold on, hold on. You don't like them candies KD just came out with? I like them. They nice. Oh, them thing nice. Jeremy, you ain't got a pair of them candies? I ain't got none of them. KD got them, he got like a bubble in his shoe that don't rock with me. KD for them Jones don't rock with me, so I can't do it. Hey, check me out. It says the Timberwolves are showing interest in Jonathan Kaminga per Mike Scott. After missing out on their pursuit of LeBron James, the Minnesota Timberwolves have also expressed interest in Kaminga with their starting power four spot up for grabs. And for 6.6 million taxpayer mid-level exception available for the taking, league sources told Hoops Hyatt.

46:14So they saying Minnesota probably gonna go out to Kaminga, bro, for that 6.6 M. You saying that's all that man can get? What's going on with him? Can somebody tell me what's going on, man? What's going on with him? Is it a counterfeit Bill walking around? What's going on, man? Why is he you feel me? I don't know, bro. Jeremy, what you got for me, man? Man, I don't know. But I actually believe in the kid. I think the kid is a really good player, man. And he's a mismatch problem. He can guard multiple positions. I don't understand it either. But if the Timberwolves can get him, they cook him with grease.

46:54I agree, man, because sometimes it make you think about certain guys, bro, who can't stick, smooth, and drum. You know what I'm saying? Like, I be thinking, I'm like, damn, man, dude, uber talented. Like, I seen him play and have a great run in Golden State. then they stopped playing him for whatever reason. I seen him come here to the A smooth when Jalen Johnson got hurt and he played a couple. Man, that man looked like all world out there. I was talking about thank you. I was telling the goal to say thank you. You know what I'm saying? Dropping him off, all kind of stuff. Then we just stopped playing him.

47:27Yeah, so I don't know, bro. You know, and he hasn't been a priority when it comes to free agency. I hadn't really heard much about him. it's it's crazy yeah hold on mid-level was crazy i thought oh he's a bad look hey here we go check this out here what a top selling nba player's signature shoes uh signature sales in 2025 this is based on the signature sales in 2025 kobe bryan one john moran two kevin durant three LeBron James four, Anthony Edwards five, Sabrina Nesco six. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Who is the six? Sabrina Nesco, WNBA. WNBA, yeah, Sabrina's, yeah. Number seven is number seven.

48:15Hold on, we need to cut it off after that, boom. What do you mean, cut it off? You got to cut it off after that. What? You a dude and you got a signature shoe, a girl out selling you, you got to go ahead and just hang it up, bro. But hold up, Smoove, the girl's game changer. The girl's - But I done seen dudes wearing them Sabrina's. They wearing them. Well, she out selling them, Smoove, what you - That's why, because they rather wear her shoe than, you know what I mean? Than the Devin Booker's or whatever it is, you know, whatever the male shoe is. Hey, it must feel comfortable, bro. It got to have some comfort to it.

48:51I ain't got none of the next schools over there. Not on duty, not on duty. Hold on. Hold on. So she is six. Devin Booker is seven. James Harden is eight. Asia Wilson is at nine. I'm saying cut it off at 10. Hold on. Nah, nah. You got to chill. Because Asia got some. She got some heat over at nine. She got some heat. But who at 10? Them two is just crazy. Who at 10? LaMelo Ball at 10. Puma. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. I got 10 more for you. LaMelo at 10. Shea at 11. Shea Gilgis at 11. Kyrie at 12. Stephon Curry at 13. Giannis Antetokounboy at 14, Jason Tatum at 15, Luka Doncic at 16, Donovan Mitchell 17, Damian Lillard 18, Zion Williamson 19, and guess who last?

49:37Nikola Jokic.

49:41Nikola. What y 'all get? Nikola got them 360s on though, I don't even think he got a rare. What do you mean? What he sponsored by though for real though? And I think he's sponsored by Anta or something, but I ain't never seen his shoes in stores for sale. That's the problem right there. You ain't never seen them. Yeah, I ain't never seen them. Jeremy, what you playing in now? What you playing in? I'm playing the Kobe's. That's what you playing? That's my favorite basketball shoe of all time, Kobe 9's. Smooth, what you kids playing, bro? Man, Adidas, what are they playing? They're playing, if they playing in Adidas, they playing in some James Harden's or some Ant-Man's.

50:22and then if they play or some Donovan Mitchell's then if they play in Nike they'll play Kobe's they'll be wearing Kobe's they don't really you know Kobe Bryant alright on X full court pass in 2020 GM's were asked which rookie would be the best player in five years out of James Wiseman 36 % LaMelo Ball 25 % Anthony Edwards at 14 patrick williams at 11 isaac kakor at seven percent this was in 2020 i think i guess we know the answer to that who y 'all got all right i don't know he got hurt he was in indy he got hurt and uh I think they had him come back the next year and it didn't pan out early on for him.

51:22Or they released him really early. Yeah, they didn't age well, you know. Yeah, it was Ant-Man, clear as day. It was Ant-Man, clear as day. Oh yeah, not even close. Not even close. Not even close. But LaMelo Balls, that's a good player. Yeah. Hey, no, no, no, no, LaMelo great. And actually, while we talking about LaMelo, I want to know y 'all thoughts on him going to Minnesota and what y 'all think he's going to bring to the Timberwolves. And what's their ceiling, bro? What can we expect from the Minnesota Timberwolves this year? What you got, Jeremy? For them boys to come out and say they got to stop cussing the interviews, that mean they growing up.

51:58I'm okay with it. I'm okay with it. They going to be all right over there. That man don't care. He ain't who he is, bro. That Atlanta going to come out of it, man, it's smooth. It's going to come out of it. He's got a big win. He ain't going to be able to help himself. He can't. he can't hey he get carried away every time hey look when they show guys walking in you know everybody be using the walk up you know to walk in like a runway now so everybody be dressed down to the nine ant-man come in with his white be the own flip flops and everything like boy y 'all true with the ll cool j one one pants i went down yeah with the hoop earring on yeah yeah yeah hey Same thing on Egg's four-court pass.

52:44The Heat are waiting on Klay Thompson, fellas, to secure a buyout from the Mavericks instead of trading for him. So there's some teams that want Klay Thompson's service, but they want him to take that buyout, man, so you can come over here and join this heat we got. I already know. I think he's going to go to – if he do take a buyout from Dallas, I can see him going to Miami. Me too. Y 'all see that? Hell yeah. What are these shooters? If you don't go home though. If you don't go home. To Golden State? Hell yeah. He ain't going back there, bro. He ain't going back because pride is a thing. That's what I'm saying.

53:22That's why I'm telling you. But if he did. And he did. But he did not say he would want to retire there. He didn't retire. He might go Kyle Lowry, get signed for one day and. Are you? That's like two or three years. Maybe. But him in Miami? Yeah, I like that. I like that. I do too, bro. I think in Miami, with that downhill demon and Giannis Antetokounmpo, bro, you need to put as much shooting as you can around him. Because that man going to create opportunities for everybody, not just himself, but for everybody. Hell, I wish my knee wasn't messed up. Boy, I go out there and shoot me a couple damn jumbles.

54:02You know what I'm talking about, Smooth? You get your basketball years, you play with Giannis. I got about 10, 15 minutes for them folks over there. What? You'll catch a shooter. Why be in the gym right now? You hear me? Yeah. Yeah, Clay Thompson, I want to see him go out the right way, but I don't really like how. I don't like how they did him in Dallas, you know what I'm saying? When he was starting, then you bench him. Man, come on, man. Come on. All right, Legion hoops on X. LeBron says he has one or two of his$5.2 million trading rookie cards locked up in a safe in case he falls on hard times.

54:44Come on, man. That man said he got a couple of his own rookie cards and each one is worth about $5.2 million. In case who fall on hard times? In case he fall on hard times. Who is he?

55:03I'm a goddamn man. What is it? Hey, y 'all ever collect cars, bro? Coming up, smooth, Jeremy. I wasn't a car collector. You was? I didn't collect them, but I kid you not. When I was in high school, I used to have a wallet and I kept my brother's car in my wallet at all times. That's the only car that I ever collected that I ever kept was my brother's car, yeah. It's the only one. Bro, look, when I was coming up, bro, I actually still got them. I know they in the store somewhere. I hope ain't nobody tried to jip me off. But boy, I got some, I ain't lying, I promise you. I got some rookie AI, Penny Hardaway.

55:43I ain't got no rookie Jordan card, but I got a Jordan card. Man, I used to collect cards. I got two big albums full of them. Some of them are duplicates. Man, I gotta find them, but. I got to find them. Let me know where the storage is. I'll find them for you. But if Braun, if Braun card worth 5.2 million, hell, I need to be trying to give me one of them Braun card. That's what I need to be trying to get. Yeah. Yeah, hey, what's the most, what's the most valuable collective that y 'all own? Like some y 'all collected and it's worth something. Y 'all got anything y 'all wanna share? Hmm. Hell, I ain't collect this shit.

56:22Y 'all ain't got nothing collective, nothing that y 'all done collected over the years. this and it ain't here. I got a painting of myself, bro, from like, I think it's like 2003, it probably worked about, it ain't worth but like 30, 40 grand. Yeah, I got it appraised, bro. Yeah, I got it appraised. It ain't worth a little something. I got it in the safe place. You know what I mean? When you get it appraised? Huh? When you get it appraised? How long ago? I got it appraised about two years ago. Oh, you went up about$15 more for sure. yeah yeah so uh so so i'm hoping i'm hoping uh it keep drawing you know some value to it you know what i'm saying yeah check this out nightcap is providing big three coverage all season long dm trilogy dmv trilogy versus the chicago triplets tune in sunday august 2nd 1 p.m eastern time on cbs with Rear's Monday night at eight o 'clock on BET.

57:25Week seven of the big three takes ATL tomorrow. Jeremy. Yes sir. I seen you been out there doing your one two my boy. You know, hey, hey, I just wanna say something, man. I ain't gonna lie to you. I love watching you play in the big three. I love when you, you know, you come down doing your one, two, getting in your bag, making guys around you better, shooting the four pointer. We all know you the four point king. I appreciate that. But bro, I ain't gonna lie, and I tell you this, every week we talk, bro, it's hard for me to watch them games when I know, but we supposed to be working on back-to-back champions.

57:58You know what I'm talking about? Yeah. We supposed to be working on back-to-back champions, but to see you out there doing your thing with the ball hogs, Gary Payton, led by yourself, and Gary Payton, come on, man, y 'all in the top four now. Y 'all done beat 305, which y 'all beat them twice? No, no, we beat LA twice. Y 'all beat LA twice, beat a 305 yesterday. Yes, sir. So that put y 'all kind of solely in fourth place. Only four teams go to the playoffs. Oh, no, no. We got third. Don't move. Are y 'all in third right now? Locked in third, brother. They can't get in front of us, man. What's the expectations?

58:30Obviously, we know y 'all want to win it, but how far you really see y 'all going or what's in y 'all way? The sky's the limit for us, to be honest, man. And coming into this year, everybody wrote us off. Everybody had us finishing last in the big three. And, you know, we never let that bother us. We focus in on what we believed in and what we were able to do. But I think we're in a great position, man. The two top teams, they play against each other this – not tomorrow, but next week. So after the last game, we'll see where the chips fall in. I think we ready for whoever we get in the playoffs on the 15th in Dallas.

59:07All right, well, you know me, I'm going to be tuned in, bro. I'm looking forward to it. I know they play tomorrow. I ain't going to be able to make tomorrow. You know what I mean? and your boy work. You know what I mean? It's going to be the last night of the ISO takeover. Me and my boy, J. Smoove. Hey, chat, we appreciate y 'all for rocking with us, showing us love, man. This has been a lot of fun for me. I hope Smoove been enjoying it as well. So we appreciate y 'all for rocking with us, Nightcap ISO takeover. Y 'all know what's happening. Check this out. It's time for Q &A.

59:41Y 'all know Unc. I'll be whipping this thing, you know, like one of them little sports cars. I drive this thing like a Cadillac. You know what I'm saying? Hey, I'm taking my time with it. You feel me? Hey, Energize said, underrated aspect, but it's today's NBA missing elite commentators like Marv Albert that had you hooked to every game. What y 'all think about the commentating in today's game? it's uh it's it's it's it's it's some fun ones that that can really get the game going uh but the way downtown bang is king oh yes sir bang that's the one man oh that's classic that's classic yeah filthy mc nasty 2081 and still Yeah, question, what's happening?

1:00:32What was your I'm here moment in the NBA? Love y 'all. Smooth, I'ma start with you. What was your I'm here moment when you made to the league? Oh man, probably when we made it to the playoffs. Oh boy, that thing was jumping, jumping. Woo! Definitely the dunk contest, but that playoff run, man, I know it was short lived, but that was probably the best feeling I probably could ever feel, you know what I'm saying, as a basketball player in my life, man. That was, man. And think about it, Smooth, you had to match up against one of the best that ever played a game in Kevin Garnett. And to see that back and forth with y 'all, bro, that was a hell of a matchup, man.

1:01:15I'm talking about, man, we gave them boys everything they got asked for. You hear me? We got them ready to win that championship. Oh, man, come on, man, stop playing. Mike Mike she needs to be traded Steph needs to be traded Warriors not doing ish and my my you gotta give him a little chance man you know I mean I don't know what the words got going on over there ain't gonna lie but when them injuries derail you like that and they kind of mess up your plans bro that's tough I mean because hell Jimmy Butler was at the top of his game and for him to have that injury it's just tough you don't really know what to expect to be honest with you Daryl Shepherd.
