0:45Shannon Sharpe:We got another special guest after getting back in the form. He failed to make weight against Edwin Dolasantos. Now he came back and he ignited a firestorm. Hey, dropped him. Dropped him with a body shot. It didn't hit him clean, but the accumulation of those body shots and those head shots had taken him down, and then he's like, hey, Devin Haney, let's make this happen. Here he is, Keyshawn Davis. Keyshawn, how you doing, bro?
1:13Keyshawn Davis:I am amazing, bro. Appreciate you, man. Appreciate you for having me.
1:17Shannon Sharpe:Nah, man. Appreciate you for coming on. So walk us through the fight. 14 seconds. I mean, I thought when the doctor came up, the ringside doctor came up on the thing, I thought, and I told Ocho last night, I said, I think if it was round seven of eight, they probably would have stopped the fight because that eye was closed. But because it was round 12, they said, you know what? It's only three more minutes. Let's let him go ahead and fight. And with 14 seconds, you catch him with a body shot and stop him. So walk us through the fight. Did the fight, obviously you won. So obviously the fight went on.
1:49Shannon Sharpe:But what did you see early on that made you think, you know what, I'm going to win this thing in convincing fashion? Honestly, like just my confidence in myself.
2:00Keyshawn Davis:I knew God put me in this position for a real reason. Honestly, from the very beginning, from me changing everything around me and just coming into this fight, I knew I was in this position for a real reason. Just coming into the fight, I knew I was confident. I knew I was going to win in convincing fashion, honestly. and it just showed up that way, honestly. And it's crazy because, like, I was telling my team, like, I always dreamed to have, like, a 12-round last-minute, like, stoppage. Like, I always dreamed of that. You know what I'm saying? So, for my first fight coming back off of this long layoff, man, it's nothing but God for sure.
2:43Shannon Sharpe:So, that's Virginia. 7-5-7 Eric Cole is Virginia. Is that Virginia Beach? That's Hampton. What part of Virginia? I'm from Norfolk. Oh, okay. Okay. Well, obviously, he's from Sweet Pea. He's from Hampton, right?
3:01Keyshawn Davis:Sweet Pea is from Norfolk.
3:04Shannon Sharpe:He's from Norfolk? Sweet Pea is from Dallas Park. So, okay. Obviously, he's from the Bay. You're probably too young to remember him fighting, but he was sensational. Known as the defense, the head movement, he was a showman. But he could get people out of there. How similar is your style? Because, you know, you had some – you was all business. And people like – I'm reading my timeline. People like, why is he looking like that, man? Why is he like – he like, he all business. But you like, okay, I got this. I got old boy.
3:34Keyshawn Davis:I mean, honestly, man, I just came in and I jumped focused. Again, God hand was on me the entire week, the entire training camp. You know, he gave me that focus. Like, I got to give credit back to my Lord and Savior. You know what I'm saying? Like, he gave me that type of focus. because he gave me that type of determination to still, in the 12th round, still try to go in there and still stop him. I wasn't happy with just the knockdown that I gave him in the 11th round. I'm like, nah, man. And the entire fight, I'm in my head like, I'm going to stop him. Even in the 12th round, I'm like, I'm going to stop him.
4:01Keyshawn Davis:And my coaches were like, 30 seconds. So when I heard that 30 seconds, bro, I'm like, I took a deep breath. I'm like, all right, here we go. It's got to be this. See what I'm saying? And thank God I made it happen.
4:14Clint Kubiak:hey what what what are one of the reasons why you decided to obviously change your whole team coming into this fight and what's your preparation is that one of the reasons you were so confident coming in knowing that you were going to win this fight um i'm gonna be real with you bro i'm gonna
4:29Keyshawn Davis:keep giving it back to my lord and savior bro like yeah once my like my the turning point when i had within my layoff yeah what really got me back into the ring um I was hurt man I was down my uh one of my real real close friends had passed away um I call him my brother um just 19 years old had passed away and I was just asking God like you know I'm hurt God like give me something that could really just like bring the joy out of me like what's something that I really really enjoy you doing like tell me i want you to tell me this time god and um boxing was in my spirit yeah box was in my spirit so i was like all right god boxing in my spirit so how do you want me to come back into this game how do you want me to do things differently like for real because i was doing it my way the entire time and you know my layoff had happened so like so this won't happen again god how do you want me to do this and i uh i just kept seeking him he just kept answering my prayers, honestly.
5:29Keyshawn Davis:It led me to January 31st. Amazing knockout.
5:34Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Tiafemo, he lost to Shakur last night, but he mentioned the possibility of moving up to 147. If the Devin Haney fight doesn't happen, is that someone you like to fight?
5:44Keyshawn Davis:Yeah, for sure. For sure, for sure. I love to fight Devin Haney. Me and Devin have been had a little controversy back and forth for some years now, honestly. I'll be real with you. and um you know bill and haney been in my dms you know dm me and stuff like that so i already knew like i already knew like what they was coming to the fight for i'm gonna be real with you they was coming to fight to watch me for sure and um right since that i won in spectacular fashion i feel like you know let's get along let's fight you know what i'm saying what what was always the
6:15Clint Kubiak:issue most of the time you know this is what the fighters i mean not the fighters the fighters always want to do see see the great fights but the fans would love to see this what do you think is going to be in the way of making a fight keshawn davis versus devon haney what can actually make that happen because there's so many layers that have to happen for a fight of this magnitude to
6:35Keyshawn Davis:happen what do you think needs to do i mean it happened right away for happening right away to if it make money it makes sense yeah be real with you like me right now i'm be real with you like i'm be real both of y 'all um i'm in a position to where like i can stay at 140 and i can just go crazy at 140 i don't have to go up to 147 to fight none of them fighters right i'm making the decision to go up to be great you know what i'm saying and long as that respect level is there long that it's worth my time moving up to fight Devin Haney, I'm going to fight him. If it's not worth my time, Keyshawn is going to make the right business decision so I can get in that position again so they will respect my name.
7:19Keyshawn Davis:You know what I'm saying? There's another champion out there. His name is Louis Crocker. He's a 147-pound champion. Me and Eddie Hearns have already been talking about him before Devin Haney even surfaced the platform. You know what I'm saying? And he's from the U.K. So I would love to go to the U.K. and fight Lewis Crocker as well before I fight Devin Haney. But three fights is what I want to fight this year. So once I fight Lewis Crocker, my first 147. Yes. My first 147 pound fight Lewis Crocker, then, of course, I'll go fight Devin Haney right after.
7:54Shannon Sharpe:Oh, that's loud. So are you just looking for 47 people with belts or are you trying to make the best possible fight?
8:03Keyshawn Davis:I feel like the ones with the belts at 147 are the best possible fights. You got Roli Ramirez. He's a name with a belt. You got Devin Haney. He's a name with a belt. Mario Barrio is about to fight Ryan Garcia. You know what I'm saying? And you got Louis Crocodile fought for the vacant. So in my opinion, I feel like he's the only one that's kind of like, you know, in the way, you know what I'm saying? So I'm willing to move up to take that belt. I like it.
8:27Shannon Sharpe:I like that. I like that. My man, you were impressive last night. You definitely turned some heads. I mean, if people wanted to see action, people wanted to see, and you gave them that. And so I don't really think you're going to have a problem at 147 getting those fights because people, like Enoccio and I was talking last night, the casual fan, because the hardline fans are going to watch boxing. You got to get those casual fans that like, okay, when they hear Keyshawn Davis, oh, he going to fight. Oh, there's going to be some action. I can't miss him fighting. And that's what you want attached to your name.
8:56Shannon Sharpe:So congratulations on the fight last night. You were very, very impressive. And I know that's what you wanted to do because the world was watching and you put on a show. You showed out. And so now, hey, go make it do what it do.
9:08Keyshawn Davis:So I appreciate y 'all, man. Appreciate y 'all. And I'm a promise to fans. He saw his back and better, man. God got his hand all over me, man. And with God, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. You know what I'm saying? And I really believe in that. My faith grew with this time off. You know, this time off really just made me a better person overall. you know what I'm saying I always could fight you know what I'm saying but now I got my I got my spirit back in line you know what I'm saying the main thing is the main thing I'm keeping the main thing the main thing and I'm back and better the businessman is back man
9:41Shannon Sharpe:be amazing he's back that's I don't know what it is in the water in Norfolk and Hampton because you got yourself you had rest your soul sweet Pete you got AI you got Aaron Brooks you guys have had a lot of talent come out of that area so congratulations man continue success and when that fight happened with Devin Haney or or Crocker or whomever, Roley, come back and talk to us.
10:02Keyshawn Davis:I got you, man. I appreciate y 'all having me for so long. All right, bro.
10:05Shannon Sharpe:Appreciate you, bro. Have a good one. Coach O, Clint Cooley will reportedly be one task to turn around the Las Vegas Raiders. According to Adam Schefter, after meeting Saturday with Las Vegas and Arizona, Seahawks offensive coordinator intends to try to work out a deal to become the next head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. No deal can be finalized after the Super Bowl. But Clint wants to coach the Raiders, and they want him to be their head coach. Now, it's only a matter of time before the two sides can formalize a deal. It seems to be the going rate is somewhere between five and seven years.
10:45Shannon Sharpe:You're probably looking at somewhere between$8 and$12 million.
10:48Clint Kubiak:Yeah, the Kubiak would be$12 million, but okay.
10:50Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. You like, you like, because if I'm not mistaken, that the Cardinals already had the Cardinals hired Mike LeFleur, right?
10:58Clint Kubiak:Yep. Mr. Fleur got hired.
11:00Shannon Sharpe:But so you like this Clint Kubiak.
11:03Clint Kubiak:I mean, I love Clint Kubiak to the Raiders, but the whole problem is the players. It's the situation. It's the quarterback. I mean, the uncertainty. Obviously, you know, Mendoza is probably going to be the first one taken, but you need more pieces than just that, especially where Kubiak is coming from. It's easy for you to be able to do your job based on where you are because of what you have with your personnel. hell it makes your job and calling players or even being a head coach now coming to las vegas it makes it very easy but you're going to need those pieces that make your job easy that's the only problem that's the only only issue i see obviously mendoza is going to be the first quarterback taken the raiders aren't passing on him what are you going to do with matt crosby are you going to let matt crosby go so you can get some value back from him and put some other pieces around you on offense or maybe on defense there's so many there's so many pieces or so many so many holes that need to be filled in Las Vegas before you can be a team that can compete in that division, let alone in the goddamn league.
12:00Clint Kubiak:It's so many answers that need to be answered. I love the hire. I love the coach that you're getting, but what does he have to work with? That's the only issue. I like it because they're probably going to have
12:13Shannon Sharpe:an ish ton of money to spend. The cap is going up$22,$25 million. They were probably already under the cap. So you get Mendoza, and I don't have to give up. All I have to do is sign him. I don't have to give up draft capital. Now, in free agency, I can plug some things in. I'm going to need a receiver. Is there potential that I can trade for A.J. Brown? Is there a potential that there's a receiver on the mark? I'm just throwing out scenarios.
12:40Clint Kubiak:I already told you what receiver's going now, and it makes the most sense because he's every bit of what a Raider is. But go ahead. Yeah.
12:48Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Yeah, and so I think they're probably going to have$70 million, $80 million in cap space. The question is, and you posed a very good question, and we've been talking about it, what do you do with Crosby? Do I trade him and get the draft capital, or do I keep him?
13:12Shannon Sharpe:That's the question, Ocho. I mean, allow him to go somewhere where he can contend.
13:21Clint Kubiak:That's what I say.

13:26Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, well, I'm sure somebody said Max Crosby to the Ravens for Bateman in the first rounder. I'm sure the Ravens would jump on that with both feet.
13:38Clint Kubiak:That's a good one. I like that.
13:42Shannon Sharpe:I think it's going to take more than Bateman in the first round to get Max Crosby from the Raiders. That's just me.
13:54Shannon Sharpe:But like I said, I've known Clint basically his whole life. He used to shag balls for when he was a – I mean, shit, he couldn't have been no more than – in the mid-90s, he couldn't have been no more than 9, 10. And maybe when I left and I came back, he was probably 13. So, and to see – it's always funny to see these kids, Ochoa, to see them, to see Christian McCaffrey, to see where he came in because he was a little kid sitting on my lap at the Super Bowl, Super Bowl 33. And now to see that he's one of the best players in the NFL. To see Clint Kubiak, to see Kyle Shanahan, when he used to hold a cord for his dad, I'm like, damn.
14:39Shannon Sharpe:Well, one, I'm old. And two, it's good to see those guys and what they've become. That's great. But I do agree with you, Ocho. I do like this hire. But at the end of the day, it comes down to you can have the greatest scheme ever, but you better have somebody to be able to play in that scheme.
15:00Clint Kubiak:That's the issue. That's the only issue. You got to have the right players at the right positions and everything flows smoothly.

15:56Mike Mccagnan:i'm daniel jeremiah and i'm greg rosenthal and this is 40s and free agents the games may be over but the nfl never stopped this is my favorite part of the calendar yeah mine too greg free agency, the combine, the NFL draft, pro days, trades. This is where teams reshape their future. This is where Daniel Jeremiah makes his money on 40s and free agents. We break down every move that actually matters from my draft evaluations, mock drafts, and team fits to my top one-on-one free agents and how real rosters are built, cap space, contracts, and all the tough decisions included. You got quarterbacks on the move.
16:33Mike Mccagnan:We got teams rebuilding. It's hope season. Yeah, absolutely. It's hope season. We'll tell you what's real, what's noise and what it means for your favorite team. 16:56Shannon Sharpe:Oh, as Sam Donald sits one win away from a legendary comeback, former Jets, Mike McGowan, who drafted him, spoke out for the first time since 2019. I was always kind of sad that Sam wasn't able to fulfill that potential in New York. That's where he started his journey, and in an ideal world, he would have finished it there. But if it wasn't meant to be, he had to go on his own journey to grow and develop in different places. It makes me feel good that he's fulfilling his potential. It's not necessarily vindication in our business. When you see something and it turns out the way you envision it, it makes you feel good.
17:33Shannon Sharpe:I think every scout probably feels that way. the NFL continues to debate how much of a quarterback success can be attributed to the player and how much can it be attributed to the team? Also, if Sam Donald wins the Super Bowl, who deserves the most credit for his comeback story?
17:52Clint Kubiak:For one, Sam Donald in general. He deserves the most credit, obviously.
17:58Shannon Sharpe:Could he put the work? Yeah, he's doing the work.
18:02Clint Kubiak:And probably the Seattle Seahawks. the Seattle Seahawks is a well-run organization they are a winning organization they've been a winning organization from top to bottom for a very long time they've always been in contention they've won Super Bowls uh they've been to uh going to a third no they've been maybe more than that I'm just that I that I can remember you know since since I've been since I've been around
18:24Shannon Sharpe:obviously they've been this is their uh this would be they lost to the Steelers they beat the Broncos They lost to the Patriots.
18:33Clint Kubiak:They're fourth. Yeah. I mean, obviously, okay. Winning organization in general. So the onus and where I always say it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what round or what round you get drafted. The most important part is where you go. Where you go.
18:49Shannon Sharpe:If not high, high. Yeah.
18:51Clint Kubiak:That's exactly what happened. And obviously, Sam Donald had to go through a journey in a sense, you know, going high to the New York Jets, which had been an organization that hasn't done right by quarterbacks in a very long time. And still –
19:04Shannon Sharpe:Hell, they ain't done right by a whole lot of people. Look at Big Larry Weed.
19:07Clint Kubiak:Yeah, and still to this day, nothing is going right for them. And obviously he goes to an organization like the Seahawks, and look what happens. It sells. Same thing with Minnesota, which I'm not sure how they let him out that door. But, you know, God saw favor in him over in Seattle.
19:25Shannon Sharpe:Great coaching. Great structure.
19:28Clint Kubiak:Top to bottom.
19:29Shannon Sharpe:Organizationally.
19:30Clint Kubiak:Top to bottom. That's crazy.
19:35Shannon Sharpe:That's important. And I don't think people realize how important. Sometimes it's hard to overcome dysfunction in an organization because normally it's at the top and it permeates itself throughout the building. So you can have the best coaching situation and with the best intentions. but they'll just contaminate, make everything a cesspool. And unfortunately, that's what the Jets are.
20:03Clint Kubiak:Damn.
20:05Shannon Sharpe:And I hate that for my boy, AG, but...
20:14Clint Kubiak:They put you in situations that are not advantageous and want you to make a miracle. They want you to turn water into wine. They want you to take a loaf of bread and feed 40. man don't get me started but go ahead they want to take two loaves is one loaf of bread or two loaves of bread
20:34Shannon Sharpe:it's a loaf of bread and two fish
20:35Clint Kubiak:and they want you to make a miracle out of it okay it's only one of them
20:41Shannon Sharpe:yeah and he just threw up his hand and said nah I can't even take this
20:50Shannon Sharpe:y 'all gonna have to call y 'all gonna have to call my dad for this one
20:53Clint Kubiak:hey come on man yeah
20:57Shannon Sharpe:but it's an unbelievable story and I liked him I thought Skip and I we debated a lot I liked Sam Donald as the first pick in the draft he went to the third pick and you know Baker had some success there early and they fell out on Baker because Baker is who he is and they didn't want that and then it was Saquon and then Sam Donald went to the Jets and they never put him in a situation where he could succeed. They didn't put the pieces around him. He didn't get the support that he needed. The one thing that he got, and I think the best thing that happened to him, he got great coaching when he was in 49ers.
21:35Shannon Sharpe:Remember, he started that one game, but he got an opportunity to be under Kyle Shanahan, and he got an opportunity to learn. And then he goes to Minnesota, and he got great coaching, and he got an opportunity to learn, and he played extremely well. And he parlayed that, and he goes to another stable, well-run organization. and he got weapons. I mean, he had weapons in San Fran. He just didn't get an opportunity because Brock Purdy was there. Now he gets to go, and he goes, and he has Naylor, and he has Hawkinson, and he has Jetta. He has Aaron Jones. The offensive line is good. Boom. You see what he did.
22:08Shannon Sharpe:And then now he goes to a situation where they can run the ball. They play outstanding defense. He lead Minnesota. They play really good defense. But Seattle, I think, defense is a little better. they can run the football with a canine it's yeah and I'm sure I drafted this guy I knew what he could be we us the Jets we just didn't have stability and the pieces around him for him to flourish and it's okay to say that because it's the truth
22:41Clint Kubiak:it's been that way for a while
22:45Shannon Sharpe:look at Daniel Jones woo He got the ending. He got somebody believed in him. Because sometimes you still, everybody doesn't have the work. Everybody had somebody to believe in him.
23:03And he got the ending.
23:04Shannon Sharpe:They believed it. It's like, bro, we believe in you. We believe so much in you. We're going to pay you more than what we played the starting quarterback that's already here. That's how much we believe in you.
23:16Shannon Sharpe:so congrats I mean it's gonna it will be an unbelievable oh yeah absolutely I mean you think about the guy that's been he was with the Jets and then he went to Carolina he went to San Fran he went to Minnesota and now he's in Seattle five teams and what what year is this for him six or seven
23:41eight
23:48Shannon Sharpe:you said 17 yeah yeah so it'll be an unbelievable story five teams in eight years and here he is on the cusp of joining some very exclusive company guys that have won the Super Bowl the Cardinals made it official on Sunday announcing they have signed have agreed to a five-year contract extension with Mike LaFleur. LaFleur replaces Jonathan Gannon as the team's new head coach. LaFleur served as the Rams offensive coordinator for the past three seasons. While he didn't call plays for head coach Sean Payton, LaFleur did gain play-calling experience in two seasons as the Jets offensive coordinator.
24:26Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, you like this time.
24:27Clint Kubiak:I like it. One issue. Quarterback. What are we doing at the quarterback position? Receivers. Marvin Harrison Jr. Can we get him back on track? Mike Wilson. Mike Wilson. Mike Wilson. Yeah, Mike Wilson. But listen, he showed up. He showed up and showed up. Okay, okay. What can we get? Marvin Harrison Jr. back to playing like we know he can play, especially what we saw at Ohio State. Can we get his confidence back? Brother Wilson is the real deal. He is the real deal. The only issue is what are we going to do at the quarterback position? And Jacoby Brissett. We got Trey McBride also. Oh, he's the best tight end in the game, huh?
25:11Clint Kubiak:We can argue that. We can argue he's the best tight end in the game. But again. Who you argue with? You feel? But what are we doing at the quarterback position? I'm sure Kyler Murray's gone. Jacoby Brissett was a good feeling in a sense, especially from a statistical standpoint. If you look at his numbers, even though they were losing.
25:31Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, but I don't know if he's my long-term solution.
25:33Clint Kubiak:No, he's not your long-term solution. but he's something you would love to have and especially if he's one to to be a veteran a veteran presence for someone young if that's if that's the route you go right so so so we got the
25:49Shannon Sharpe:raiders that's that's that's the only that's the last job right that's the only job that's left
26:00Shannon Sharpe:But we think the Raiders are going to get filled by Clint Kubiak, so all the head coaching vacancies will be filled. Oh, yeah. And it seems like the odd man out is Matt Nagy because he didn't get one of those jobs.
26:17Shannon Sharpe:Jimmy Kemski, a voice of phillyvoice.com, first reported that Vic Fangio told the Eagles after the season that he was going to retire. But further conversation with the team resulted in Fangio agreeing to remain on the staff for the 2020-2026 season. But Kemski note that the teams has not confirmed anything in that wiggle room.

28:25Shannon Sharpe:exists for Fangio to change his mind. Again, multiple reports indicate that Fangio did the same waffling about a possible retirement after the Eagles won the Super Bowl last season. What you thinking, Ocho?
28:41Clint Kubiak:I don't know about that one, huh?
28:47Because, I mean, Jonathan Gannon,
28:52Shannon Sharpe:he got signed where did he go in? Tennessee? He's somebody's D coordinator.
28:59Clint Kubiak:He going with Salah?
29:02Shannon Sharpe:Salah or the Dolphins? Packers. Okay, the Packers. So he's the D.C. in Green Bay. The question is Jim Schwartz. He's upset that he didn't get the head job after Todd Munson. He's in Cleveland. Does he stay in Cleveland? Do they give him a bump in pay to keep him happy? I think they'll do that. Or does he go?
29:25Clint Kubiak:I mean, why would you leave that defense? God, I want to be the head coach. Even if you're not the head coach, you can parlay yourself into another head coaching job by coaching that defense. That defense will get you a head coaching job.
29:41Shannon Sharpe:Well, they didn't give me a job last year. You got Todd Monkey. Yeah. That coach got relieved of his duty.
29:48Clint Kubiak:I mean, listen, I don't want to leave my for sure to see what's on the other side of that mountain because I know what I got with this defense right here. I know I got the leading, the NFL's leading, you know, sack. Defensive player of the year.
30:06Shannon Sharpe:Unanimous defensive player of the year. He's probably going to get some MVP votes. He's probably going to be top three, top four MVP.
30:13Clint Kubiak:Yeah, I mean, but I'm not leaving that defense to go where? for what? Because I'm pissed and I'm sure to make them happy I'm sure they'll probably bump his pay up a little bit you know throw him a little 2-3 million extra go ahead
30:26Shannon Sharpe:go ahead and take this with you
30:32Clint Kubiak:go ahead and take this with you we know you're upset
30:34Shannon Sharpe:I can see 500 maybe a mil I don't think okay make it 15
30:37Clint Kubiak:make it 1-5 meet me halfway meet me halfway but shoot if I was Mr. Source I ain't leaving that goddamn brown defense for what to go where huh to go where i'm just curious where else would you go it ain't like you're going to coast the goddamn seahawks defense no i ain't going to coast the goddamn patriots defense i ain't going to coast the broncos defense but i'm supposed to leave the top five defense because i'm upset because i didn't get the head coach job absolutely not
31:09Shannon Sharpe:because vj's still there so yeah absolutely you're right ocho new york giants head coach john harbour is considering a couple of NFL head coaches for offensive coordinator. Brian Callahan and Cliff Kingsbury are among the candidates for the Giants' job. Callahan was the head coach of the Titans for a year and a half and was fired during the 2025 season, Ocho. Kingsbury was the head coach of the Cardinals from 2019 to 2022, and most recently the offensive coordinator for the Commanders in 24 and 25. Ocho, who do you like to see? Dart, Wendell Robinson if he returns, Malik neighbors and scat pack scat
31:56damn
32:05Clint Kubiak:Malik is Malik what Malik don't look like I don't know
32:12Shannon Sharpe:I mean he did tell me look Ocho,
32:18Shannon Sharpe:ACL is not the, it's a serious injury. So, Chad, don't take this wrong. But the way medicine is now and the way these guys come back, man, you don't even know. If I didn't tell you, if you didn't know, you would have never known Adrian Peterson had a knee surgery. You never would have known, Ocho.
32:35Clint Kubiak:But he's the only one that's come back like that. When you watch other people that have had surgery and if you watch them run, you can always see a little gimmick.
32:45Shannon Sharpe:uh what you call him Saquon
32:49Clint Kubiak:Saquon towards ACL in the NFL
32:52Shannon Sharpe:mm-hmm second year damn
32:56Clint Kubiak:it don't look like it at all
32:59Shannon Sharpe:exactly
33:03Clint Kubiak:I'm hoping Malik comes back
33:06Shannon Sharpe:it used to be Ocho the way the medicine is now they go in there small incisions and whether it's Dr. Andrews, and I don't know how much he's doing, whether it's Neil Ellatrosch or some of these other doctors. I'm not as familiar with all these ones that they have now because I've been removed from the game for two decades, so I'm not as familiar with the guys. But these guys are great. They are unbelievable at ACLs, and you don't know. They put that time in, Ocho, because the thing that an athlete does is that it knows what it takes, but they're getting treatment. five, six times a week. It's not the stuff that you'd like.
33:47Shannon Sharpe:The average person, they go to PT twice a week. These guys go in five days a week, and sometimes they go on Saturday, especially Ocho, when the team is in town. Yeah. So you getting treatment, and you hitting it. After probably about a week, you got that knee is 120. You bending that knee, you getting on that bike, you pedaling, you doing it. Because that's how it was with my hips, Ocho. Man, I had that surgery. My first hip surgery, I had that surgery, Ocho. I was probably back home. By 1 o 'clock, I was back home. 2 o 'clock, I was in the walking circles in the driveway. Oh, yeah, yeah. I was determined, Ocho.
34:29Shannon Sharpe:And I went to treatment that Monday. Man, I was lunging. They had me doing runs. They had me squat. Yes, absolutely. You were lunging? yes I was doing stationary lunges oh no
34:46Clint Kubiak:weight no weight though just just body weight just my body weight yep squatting damn
34:56Shannon Sharpe:but I was a because before they let me leave I had to walk up and down a flight of steps like three four times before they let me leave the hospital because you know you have surgery you got to do two things you got to walk fresh and you gotta pee they ain't letting you go until you pee Mr. Charles we can't let you go I gotta go come on I'm gonna get up out of here oh come on I'm gonna go
35:24Shannon Sharpe:hey he has to go I said nah I'm ready to get up out of here 90 minutes hey the surgery was 90 minutes I had to be there like 6 they did the surgery like I think I didn't go in I didn't go back until about 9 I ended up like I said I ended up getting home like 12, 30 maybe 1 but the hour after I got home I was walking in my driveway people said hey I thought that was you then I got to go inside so I just walked through the house I make a circle upstairs because I had hardwood floors upstairs I walked to the end come through go through the closet I do that 15 times I wait about an hour, do it again.
36:11Shannon Sharpe:Oh, I was determined. So with these athletes that are younger, I'm in my 50s. Right. Mid-50s when I had the surgery. So imagine a 21, 22, 23-year-old athlete. It's a breeze. Mm. A breeze.
36:31Clint Kubiak:Let me knock on wood.
36:35Shannon Sharpe:For the 20, Second straight year, LeBron James. Go James! The NBA announced the reserves tonight on NBC before James and his Lakers faced the Knicks and Madison Square Garden. The voting was conducted by the league coaches over the past week. LeBron was the last player announced as the league's oldest player and extended his record both overall and consecutive selections of another season. He has 21 consecutive starts. He has 22 consecutive selections. LeBron is super humbling. The coaches voted, right? So mad respect to the coaches and them seeing the way I'm still playing the later stages of my career.
37:16Shannon Sharpe:And to be able to be an all-star means a lot to my family, people that have been following me in my career and my LeBron faithful. They've been following my journey, and it's always rewarding just from a humbling standpoint to be able to be rewarded for the work that you put in. That's right. Go James committee here. it's unbelievable i mean he's averaging 22 what 22 6 and 6 it's crazy i mean he's i mean it's he i mean you're not supposed to be able to do this nobody has played this well this long absolutely you just haven't i mean normally guys are playing you know 10 minutes a night 15 minutes a night bro he's playing you know 30 minutes 32 minutes a night giving you 22 6 and 6 still shooting 50 from the floor and listen we we thought we thought
38:03Clint Kubiak:some of the better fights that we've seen. You think about last night. Volonovsky fought. Shakur fought. Keyshawn fought. Shushu fought. The best fight that we've been watching for the past 22, 23 years is LeBron against Father Time. And we didn't even realize it.
38:21Shannon Sharpe:Kawhi didn't make it. James Harden didn't make it either, did he? Damn. There were some guys that possibly could have got in that didn't get in. Let me see. Hold on just a second, Chad. Let me see. Let me see. They got that list up, Ash?
39:00HowTom
39:20Shannon Sharpe:Ant-Man, Jamal Murray, Chet Hungren, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Denae Avila, and LeBron James. Wow. So Shingun didn't make it.
39:33Clint Kubiak:Hey, Shingun be balling, boy.
39:35Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
39:39so
39:42Shannon Sharpe:no Kawhi no Harden no Shingun
39:48Shannon Sharpe:Murray definitely deserved to make it I got no qualms with that
39:58Clint Kubiak:where the game at this year oh it's right there right at home
40:04Shannon Sharpe:you're into it at the Clippers building. Into it.
40:08Clint Kubiak:That's convenient. Yeah.
40:12Shannon Sharpe:He ain't got to go far.
40:21Shannon Sharpe:Man, 22 times, Ocho. Man, he getting on up there with Willie Mays. I think Willie Mays, how many times did Willie Mays and Hank Aaron go to the All-Star game? I think Willie Mays went like 25, 26 times.
40:45musical
40:47Shannon Sharpe:stand the man
40:59damn
41:00Shannon Sharpe:them. They had two all-star games from 59 to 62. So you can make two all-star teams in a season.
41:08Clint Kubiak:Okay, okay. So that double up your numbers. Yes.
41:16Shannon Sharpe:So you might have eight all-star appearances in four years.
41:24Shannon Sharpe:But congratulations, Goat. 23rd season, 22nd All-Star game. All right. It's time for our final save in the evening. It's time for Q and A.
41:47Shannon Sharpe:Kevin Norwood Jr., I got Ocho versus anyone in the boxing ring, a.k.a. James Harrison and boots.
41:57Shannon Sharpe:Well, I'm going to steal LeBron. Ocho's bust cut that gold ear off and have a thing melt it down and that'll give me a little something.
42:13Shannon Sharpe:Ocho go. Ozzy to go. Let's tally how many times Ocho shadow boxes. Man, Ocho like LL shadow boxing on the radio. Just don't know. They said they want to tally how many times you shadow box hey
42:32Clint Kubiak:you know what's funny I mean do the people in the chat understand I've been boxing the past 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, 7 years they don't understand huh I don't know they think I be playing around when I you know obviously we have those that you know how much I love boxing they come on the show and I be like hey you want to spar do they realize with some of your favorite fighters that you watch I've been in the ring with them you know really really getting that work in i i enjoy it so it's cool you know that's what i do i challenge everybody at their respective craft it don't matter what you do you finna get this work in the chat y 'all can get this work too whatever you do well just don't challenge being
43:11Shannon Sharpe:joe and uh don't do that don't do that don't do that don't do that because i felt bad for y 'all
43:15Clint Kubiak:i didn't i didn't know i wasn't familiar with what we were doing so now that i'm now that i'm comfortable what nobody's familiar now that i'm comfortable and i got a better understanding on how competitive it is now i got the i got to open up a can yeah spurs legend even inspired shushu with molly there we go this is this i'm the same person who's been there with kayla pant and then get molly walked same person that's been in there with boots and then get body walk i've been in there with shakur and bud and then get molly walk that people just talking man uh since the kid
43:51Shannon Sharpe:what's up Uncle Ocho since Ocho wants another job to add to his 5 '11 jobs that he has already why not be a wide receiver coach in the NFL since that's his 4 '0?
44:03Clint Kubiak:Wide receiver coach in the NFL it doesn't pay enough absolutely not
44:11Shannon Sharpe:Ocho R. Pruitt said Ocho played my Bucks in 06 had 6 for 99 and an L you remember that game Ocho? Yes I do
44:18Clint Kubiak:6 for 99 and an L Listen, I can only do so much. I'm only one man.
44:27Shannon Sharpe:I got an old school Bucs helmet with the pirate on the side, the creamsicle helmet.
44:32Clint Kubiak:Who gave you that?
44:32Shannon Sharpe:I do. I traded Hardy. Hardy. I remember Hardy. Hardy played with. He played with Pittsburgh. He went to Cal first. He played with the Steelers first. And then he went to Tampa.
44:46Clint Kubiak:I'm trying to think who the other linebacker was with Hardy. He played with me. Harding Nickerson, Kevin Hardy. Kevin Hardy didn't play with Hardy, did he? Kevin Hardy played at the, he played at Jacksonville. Okay, that's right. Kevin Hardy was in Jacksonville.
44:59Shannon Sharpe:From Illinois. Yeah. Him and Simeon Rice were on the same team.
45:03Clint Kubiak:That's right. That's right. That's right.
45:05Shannon Sharpe:Trill Brown, Uncle Ocho, love to show, Unk. You know Ocho not playing U5900. You might as well take his foreign car like Snoop did 50.
45:14Clint Kubiak:No, don't do that. You ain't got to take nothing. I mean, listen, why would. What he, oh yeah, he got a McLaren, don't he? Hey, I'm trying to figure out. as as as the chat i mean it's black history month why would why you why would you suggest him taking something from another man a black man at that you know i come in peace i don't want no problems i don't want no problems i want my money i got you shakur 85 a get that cord up
45:44Clint Kubiak:what he said or the cord yeah oh yeah hey but that was so funny boy every time i think about it every boy hey every time i think about they they saw the episode and had the nerd had the nerd to dm me like like we like we could shake something all these years man you don't get up out
46:13Hey, hey.
46:16Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, beg all the deuce up, Ocho. Now, please. Nah, don't mess that up with Cambodia, man. Cambodia, good people. Dose 06, Ocho looking like Morpheus. Been here from the beginning and love the show. Dose, appreciate you, man. Thank you so much. We appreciate that support. E underscore street. Vikings only team to not draft a pro bowler since 2022 and passed on Kyle Hamilton to draft Lewis and me. Who has been cut. Do can't evaluate talent. I'm not saying he he did deserve to be fired, but you can fire someone and move on. We're not trying to sully the man's name. OK, he hadn't drafted a pro bowler since 22.
47:03Shannon Sharpe:OK, fine. This incident allegedly happened in 23. Why not bring it to the attention in 23? Why not bring the attention in 24? Why not 25? Why only after you fire him in 26 does this make the light of day? That's all we're saying. I'm not standing on a podium saying he didn't deserve to be fired. But I believe you can fire someone without trying to sully their name. That's just me. Maybe I'm wrong. Chad, maybe you think that, hey, that was well, and whatever happened happened, that's well. But I don't get on like that. Smoke Marley, can you send me the congratulations to my wife, Ashley, for becoming a registered nurse?
47:43Shannon Sharpe:Love the show. Absolutely. Ashley, congratulations. A nurse and health care aide. Health provider. I like that. I like people that want to assist and help others. Ashley, Ashley, congratulations. Did you become a nurse? No. You can't even tell my name right. Because your sick ass can't be no nurse. You be coughing all over the patient. They're like, can we get another nurse to take care of this nurse? Snake James, Ocho, dealing with man. Do you think you could talk to someone about putting the skills challenge on man now? You think that it would be fun addition to add to the game? Salute, Uncle Ocho.
48:28Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, what you thinking?
48:29Clint Kubiak:That'd be a dope addition, a dope addition, a dope mold to add to the game probably next year. Listen, I'll bring it up in our next board meeting. I'm not sure how much weight I hold when requesting things be done to improve the game of Madden, but I definitely will bring it up. And that's a good one, skills competition.
48:48Shannon Sharpe:Roddy M, Ochoa versus Poutan. Francis comes back versus Unc. Who survives longer to get that 5 ,900? Tell Dana to book it for the next card. Nope. Nope. Nope. Man, did y 'all see how big Francis is? Francis and Ghanu.
49:05Clint Kubiak:I don't care about how big he is. Man, you can't have that kind of mindset.
49:10Shannon Sharpe:Put me on him.
49:11Clint Kubiak:Put me on him, man. I got you.
49:13Shannon Sharpe:Well, let Ocho.
49:14Clint Kubiak:Put me on him, man.
49:16Shannon Sharpe:My fighting day is over.
49:17Clint Kubiak:Well, listen, I'm going to do all the fighting for you, man. It's all about mentality. Think about this, right? Think about you and Francis, right? and your kids and family behind you and if he get through you then he get to get your kids what you gonna do
49:38Shannon Sharpe:you know daddy loves
49:45what

50:15Shannon Sharpe:I'll be done gone. I think you can slow him up a little bit to give me a little head start.
50:26Shannon Sharpe:That's all I got for you. Oh, hey. Kid, y 'all better run. You know daddy taught y 'all how to run.
50:33Clint Kubiak:That's two people. It's Usman and Francis. I want that smoke.
50:40Well, okay.
