2:06Shannon Sharpe:After smashing the NFL single season record for sacks, Miles Garrett wants to break another. He's aiming to set an all-time NFL record for career sacks and even put a timeline on it saying, I'm going to take that down, and I prefer to take it down in the next five years. That's definitely on my mind and go out there and get that. That's the goal I have for years now since college. If I'm not mistaken, I think the record is 202. Where's Miles at?

2:37Shannon Sharpe:130, 135, 125.

2:43Shannon Sharpe:He's 125.5. Right. So in other words, he's going to need 77 sacks. Well, 77 to tie it, 78 to break it. And he said the next five years? Yeah. So he's going to have to average about 15 sacks a season. To be safe, 16.

3:02Myles Garrett:That's doable for him. Yeah. For Miles Garrett, that's doable. Whether they double team him, no matter what. Obviously, if he stays healthy, God willing, he will break the sack record.

3:17Shannon Sharpe:he will break it it would be a lot easier for him to break it if they could ever play with a lead he could chase the quarterback when his team is up 10, 14 21 points as opposed to being

3:29Myles Garrett:tied or down every damn game and the fact that they always are down or tied and he still was able to get 23 says a lot

3:39Shannon Sharpe:now he must ride he go back and get another 20 he gonna be well on his way Can you imagine anybody ever had back-to-back 20-sack seasons? Well, I don't know. But J.J. Watt had. He's the only one that's ever done two 20-sack seasons. There have been guys that have had 20-sack seasons, but nobody has ever had more than one. J.J. had 20 and a half twice.

4:04Myles Garrett:Boy, it's nice, man.

4:07Shannon Sharpe:Reggie had 21 and a half sacks in 12 games in 1987.

4:12Myles Garrett:That's crazy. Oh, that's crazy.

4:20Shannon Sharpe:I ain't going to doubt it. I think you can get 20 sacks again. I do.

4:26Myles Garrett:Yeah, absolutely. When someone like that, that is as good as he is at his position, you know, he takes care of himself, takes care of his body. Yep. He's a worker. He's a workaholic. So if he sets his mind to something and he has a goal that he wants to reach, he's going to reach it. and he's not going to allow winning or whether losing to get in the way of that said goal.

4:49Shannon Sharpe:Nor should he. Ocho, do you believe in miracles? Yes. 46 years later, the United States men's national hockey team has won the gold medal for the first time they did it in 1980 in Lake Placid. The American Jack Hughes scored a goal in overtime to seal Team USA's 2-1 victory over Canada. men and women took down Canada and over time we own we run hockey

5:17Myles Garrett:yeah I saw that y 'all ain't Canadians we run hockey

5:25Shannon Sharpe:y 'all can keep y 'all a little maple syrup y 'all might have started it up there but we run hockey this is the first man's hockey gold medal since the miracle on ice when Al Michaels fame was called do you believe in miracles? Yes as they won the gold medal in 1980 as I said in Lake Placid Hughes scored the game winning blooded with a loose tooth he lost his tooth yeah I was wondering why he was looking like a jack-o-lantern

5:55Myles Garrett:yeah I saw that you know hockey

5:59Shannon Sharpe:ain't none of them got their real teeth no teeth no nothing but the men and women I was like man please because the women both have been dominant. I was like, Lord, please let us don't let us be just dominant. Yeah.

6:20Shannon Sharpe:Because I'm old enough to remember when the Americans won in 1980. Obviously it was on home turf. But they beat the touted Russians in the semis. And I think they had to beat Finland in the championship game. But after the Americans the Russians with the great goalie Tretiak in that. But, man, this is crazy. This is crazy. The men and the women. Yep.

6:49Myles Garrett:Congratulations. Hey, can you ice skate? No. Roller skate, no kind of skate. Roller blade, nothing. Hey, I think that's something else we should do. What? We should start doing things that we're not used to doing that we can't do.

7:04Shannon Sharpe:Man, I'm going to get an MRI on Tuesday on my knee. I ain't finna do nothing. Now you don't need that? Yes I do.

7:10Myles Garrett:Get you a sleeve.

7:13Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.

7:13Myles Garrett:And you know that commercial that Cobb-A-Tone commercial that Brett Favre and Jerry was in?

7:18Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Yeah get one of them. You'll be good. I'm about to, what's it called? I'm about to be sleeping. I'm about to get me a house with a main floor master. I'm tired of going up and down the stairs. Huh? To get you an elevator? No.

7:33Myles Garrett:Hey, you remember the movie Gremlins? I do remember Gremlins. Hey, remember the thing the lady was on? Yeah, and like the little wheelchair that go up there. Go up the side, yeah. Get you one of them. I forgot. I wonder what that's called.

7:48Shannon Sharpe:I know exactly what you're talking about. Man, this is crazy. And we finished with the second most medals in the Olympics behind the Norway. Man, that guy broke Eric Hines' record. Dude won Clebo. Man, he won like six goals. He won Olympics. He won everything. He was nice, huh? What?

8:21Shannon Sharpe:Now he has the most in Winter Olympics history. History? That's dope. but Team USA men and women I repeat men and women and it ain't no get back until four years and in four years it's in Utah right Salt Lake City again 2030

8:53oh the French Alps

8:54Shannon Sharpe:when is it in Utah 34

9:01for?

9:02Shannon Sharpe:That's okay. We got bragging right for four years. I don't give it that away.

9:06Myles Garrett:That's it. I think if I'm not mistaken, I saw the comments from somebody for the Canadian team saying they were still the better team. No, you're not.

9:15Shannon Sharpe:No, you're not. Did you see the comment? Yeah, I did. You're not. Well, y 'all can be the better team. All I know is we got the gold medal. The gold medal is coming home to America. So the better team, we, hey, y 'all the better team with the silver medal. Let me be the not the better team with the gold medal.

9:35Myles Garrett:Hey, it is what it is.

15:26Shannon Sharpe:She received from a better who called her a dumb bee and wished death on her and her husband. What? Man, listen. A who? Stop gambling if you can't afford to lose the money. Right. The email reads, your effing-ish husband sucks too effing bad. Can't even get 10 points is pathetic. I hope you both die in a car crash, dumb B sent from my iPhone. Really?

16:02Myles Garrett:Hey, that's an addiction. people that gamble to that point where they're upset at the person's family and just being mad at the player in general you know don't gamble if you can't stand and lose that's what it comes down to I don't gamble so it's hard for me to understand or really wrap my head around someone getting that mad when I don't want to gamble on anything where I'm not in control of the outcome that makes no sense to me at all but they need to find

16:36Shannon Sharpe:FAA FBI whoever else y 'all find this

16:42Myles Garrett:they can find that quick especially when using technology they find you quick

16:47Shannon Sharpe:you get somebody emailing you saying this and you thought you did something too I showed them

16:58Shannon Sharpe:is that him Joel Molina oh they found out who it was already he put in his name he sent it his name was up there oh

17:10Myles Garrett:damn he bold dumb dumb

17:16Shannon Sharpe:gamble it's if if you trying to pay a mortgage or you trying to pay a car note and you betting on games the unpredictability of it I'm good

17:28Myles Garrett:I told you I just learned how to play blackjack and I played a$25 tables I get$100 out the ATM when$100 is gone I'm gone it's a wrap that's the extent of that

17:48league

17:48Shannon Sharpe:is there anything the league can do Ocho it's too big look the thing that calls sports to be as big as they are with two things, fantasy and sports betting. That genie is out of the bottle.

18:04Myles Garrett:Yes.

18:05Shannon Sharpe:Billions and billions is just like alcohol. It was bootleg and only a handful, but now they made alcohol legal. The same thing they did with marijuana. And you see the gambling. So they still do illegal betting. So I don't want people to think they get away with it. but when they made sports betting legal, and now you got it in New York, and I think you got it in Jersey. It's just not in Las Vegas. And you see, they were trying to get this thing in Dallas. They were trying to get this thing over the finish line. Right. It ain't no turning back now, Ocho. Ain't nothing you can do. Yeah. Ain't nothing you can do, Ocho.

18:46Shannon Sharpe:It is what it is. That's the thing that, that's why, Ocho, You love betting on NFL. You love betting the parlays. I'm going to bet the coin flip. I bet it be heads. I bet what color Gatorade is going to dig up on the winning coach? Red. Who scored the first touchdown? How long is the national anthem? Is it 90 seconds? Is it two minutes? Is it a minute? It's just too much. It's too much to bet on.

19:21I just

19:22Shannon Sharpe:man you call somebody that you don't even know and you call you email this person this man's family and disturb their peace all because you lost she didn't tell you to bet on her husband she didn't tell you to bet at all

19:40Shannon Sharpe:but if you're married and somebody were to say that to your wife or your mother your sister you'd be upset Be upset, be mad. But y 'all feel y 'all can say anything. And see, the problem that I have, and there are people out there, oh, if I made 20 million, if I made 200 million, you could say whatever you wanted to to my wife. You could say whatever you, no, you couldn't. Stop. Because y 'all put everything on money. Money don't make it. At the end of the day, he's still human. I don't give a damn how much money he made. He gonna leave here? Just because you got, Elon Musk gonna have a trillion dollars but guess what he's going to have an appointment one day that he can't risk he can't reschedule oh yeah so stop this notion because somebody they should be immune because they're because they make an exorbitant amount of money and you wouldn't want nobody to talk to your wife you wouldn't want nobody to talk to your sister your mom like their grandma like that but y 'all feel y 'all feel totally fine to go through something to define somebody's email and and to send some bulljive like this right but if you saw russ on the street you like hey russ can i take a picture you wouldn't call that man wife what you called in this email if you saw them walking down the street i bet you you wouldn't absolutely not and you wouldn't say that to russ absolutely not

21:06Myles Garrett:hey all these i i don't i don't get it though joe i don't i don't i don't i don't i mean i get it I get it because we see this situation occur and happen so many times not in just basketball but in other sports as well you see people do it online screaming at players sending dms oh my my fantasy what you doing you need to get down about your fantasy yeah I mean listen hey it's ridiculous and it's gotten ridiculous to the point where it's out of control and there's no way to control it now no way to control it I call them keyboard warriors everybody's a keyboard warrior and they hide behind profiles because there's no there's there's no consequence for what they say for their actions so now they're gonna keep doing it yeah they got them

21:52Shannon Sharpe:thumb muscles ocho but they need they did i mean they did like all this and you know i get freedom of speech right that don't mean you've read freedom of consequences that's the problem Y 'all just need to stop this, man. Y 'all need to stop talking to people crazy. Stop talking to people's wives crazy, people's girlfriends or their moms crazy. Y 'all being reckless out here. Don't gamble. Don't bet. This is the way to remedy this problem. Stop betting. You're betting money that you don't have. Trying to double up. That's your problem. You're betting money you don't have. Sit y 'all ass down. If you got a good playing job, you're working nine to five, like Ochoa said, you're trying to hit the little come up.

22:48Shannon Sharpe:Try to hit a lick. Too much at risk, man. It's too much at risk. Y 'all need to stop this, man. Y 'all really need to. Y 'all be doing too much.

23:01And...

23:04Shannon Sharpe:I couldn't... I mean, I'm trying to thank Ochoa. I'm trying to think what could someone do to me to make me call their wife, their girlfriend, out of their, and go through, first of all, I ain't got no email, so I ain't got to worry about that. But what would make me?

23:26Myles Garrett:I'm trying to think.

23:29Shannon Sharpe:Booker T. Washington once said, no man will make me degrade my soul by making me hate him. Ooh, okay.

23:35Myles Garrett:That's old school there, huh? hey booker t that's throwback i like i don't get it i don't i mean

23:48Shannon Sharpe:you got to come up with a better you got to come up with a you got to come up with a better uh uh uh uh uh side hustle ocho yeah gambling ain't it yeah we ain't it ain't too many out there

23:58Myles Garrett:that we can make fast money like that. No.

24:02Shannon Sharpe:No, there's not.

24:07Shannon Sharpe:And to go on somebody because the man ain't score point, ain't nobody, he ain't tell you to bet on him. Mm-mm.

24:16Shannon Sharpe:But to call that man, that man wife that, man, come on now. Y 'all do it, that's way too much. Way, way, way too much. Way too much. That man don't bother nobody.

24:29Myles Garrett:His wife don't bother anybody.

24:31Shannon Sharpe:All I know is that from what I've seen, she's a supportive wife. Occasionally you see her at the game, but for the most part, you don't really see her too much. And that's okay too.

24:45Shannon Sharpe:And that's probably by design because Russ don't want to have to whip somebody for going crazy because he strikes him as that type of guy. He's not going to let you disrespect his family. Oh, yeah. He's quick when some, hey, bro, he's like, hey, I'm a man. I got wife. I got kids. I'm a husband. Don't talk. Don't disrespect me like that. And people, man, they got to stop this, man. They be doing too much. They be doing way too much. And this notion, oh, you can say whatever to me. You give me this amount of money. No, they won't. No, you can't. Mm-mm. No. And they need to just stop doing it. Oh, Joe, Kevin Durant was asking about the best player he's ever played with.

25:24Shannon Sharpe:Katie said there's a tie between Steph and Russ.

A full-blown, absurdly funny telenovela celebrating positivity, inclusivity, and accessibility. It's called Melissa. And it's absurd in the best way. When the language fails her and her lips are dull and dry, only glow can revive her. Melissa McCarthy, who I love, fully commits by even rolling the R's with Elf Glow Reviver Lip Oil.

29:23Shannon Sharpe:With Russ, I never feared that he was going to lose a matchup. that's the one thing I never worried about having that comfort from a park guard just made my life easier he's in a unattainable situation because if he says Steph and don't mention Russ people are like oh man you only played with Steph for three years you played with Russ for this many years then somebody gonna probably take so you can't win I mean it's tough it's tough because you know that's what we do Ocho sometimes well who gonna win the game Ocho man I got the Bengals okay I take the Browns that's just we're in that society now that's what we do you you gotta pick one or the other I mean

30:06Myles Garrett:he answered it honestly and you talk about the best you ever played with and it's two different factors on why he chose two different people because at that time when it was OKC it was Russ hell but I also played with probably the greatest arguably the greatest shooter of all time when I was with goddamn Steph. I wasn't there that long but when I was there the proof is in the pudding. He's one of the greatest the greatest shooter of all time. Best quarterback you ever played with? See how?

30:39Shannon Sharpe:I like how you did that.

30:41Myles Garrett:You see how? Now you see. Now you see. When you ask me that question I would take the person who's responsible for the majority of my success. So I would have to go with Carson even though statistically Tom Brady is the greatest of all time.

30:56Shannon Sharpe:It ain't no statistically. He is. Even if you take away all the passing yards and just look at the Super Bowl. But see that's the thing. Is that it's a no win situation because like you said if you take somebody other than Carson people are going to say Carson man I've been playing with you all them years and he said Tom Brady better than you. Even though Carson would understand He's like man I thought Ocho and I was Cool Right Hell I told Joe I had with Joe the night Like hey Joe I love you But I'm taking seven Ain't win no Super Bowl with you Right Ain't gonna no Pro Bowl Ain't gonna no All Pro And That guy Was the main reason Of any player That I got to Canton Remember what you want me to say you want me to lie right no so I get it I get it and I hate that because you know if he just said one or the other they gonna clip that thing up yeah and it's gonna be trendy

32:04Myles Garrett:yes he answered it the right way yeah

32:10Shannon Sharpe:Anthony Edwards said Memphis has dirty hotel rooms when I go to Memphis I'll be like damn this ish be dirty I walk to Memphis hotel one time it has stains and ish on the bed come on man they ain't clean the bed like that

32:28Myles Garrett:wait hold on you talking about the nba hotel or just a regular hotel because the nba you have to

32:34Shannon Sharpe:stay in a four or five star hotel if it's available right i know i know memphis got some like some

32:40Myles Garrett:four seasons some wrist cards or something yeah they got they got to have something nice so maybe he just had one bad experience that one bad experience it could spoil a lot especially if he said this out publicly and this hotel can get bad reviews based on that one experience where a hotel worker decided not to clean up the right way now they got everybody thinking the hotel dirty they got 14 the risk cards in memphis yeah

33:10Myles Garrett:damn you ever had that happen to you all when you go see a hotel and it wasn't up to par

33:16Shannon Sharpe:I'm trying to think

33:20Myles Garrett:not the bed yeah are you one of those that check everything you check the towels you check the sheets you look up on the stuff I've never been like that

33:29Shannon Sharpe:what I do Ocho is that when I go somewhere I take X amount of cash and I always leave. When I leave the room, normally when I leave, there's going to be people cleaning. I'm like, ma 'am, I left money in the room. You clean it. That's all I say, just clean it. I'm leaving for the day. They're going to clean that room. They're going to have extra towels. They're going to have my phone cords, charging cable. They're going to have that thing folded up nice and neat. They're going to have the bedroom slippers right there beside the bed. They're going to have extra water. They're going to do all that for an easy little$30,$40.

34:03Boom.

34:05Shannon Sharpe:every time I leave, when I come in, hey, turn down service, normally when I'm turned down, because I don't want to leave the room, but every morning, and when I leave the hotel, I always do that. I always do that.

34:20Myles Garrett:You only give them$30,$40? I give them$30,$40, yeah. Damn, huh? I mean, you could at least make it$100. Huh? Life's a little hundred.

34:33Shannon Sharpe:make somebody day I guarantee you that 30-40 how many people you think in the hotel that they clean that they get somebody leave a tip for

34:43Myles Garrett:probably not many exactly I'm just saying you don't leave nothing who? Ocho see

34:56Shannon Sharpe:he gonna tell Chad this man tell me I need to leave a hundred he leaves zero yeah i'm chat chat think about what he just said chat think about what he just said he said shannon needs to leave a hundred right i said well you don't leave nothing

35:14Myles Garrett:you you right on hey i had to pay for the hotel the hotel charged me incidentals and you tell me i need to leave something for the um so you think i'm staying at the hotel for free yeah you know you're a rewards member I ain't no rewards member you're not no I tip when I go to restaurants though I mean that's you know I ain't never thought about doing it at the hotel I'm gonna try that next time I'm gonna try that

35:47Shannon Sharpe:oh yeah oh really oh we need to go to we need to go let's call memphis to get some barbecue i gotta take for some barbecue no memphis yeah memphis my mouth tuned up for some barbecue yeah hey memphis known for

36:07Myles Garrett:that barbecue boy yeah ain't kansas ain't kansas city known for barbecue too yeah i mean look

36:14Shannon Sharpe:Texas, Tennessee, probably Kansas City, North Carolina. Mainly Southern states. I mean, obviously Kansas City is in the Midwest. For the most part, you're talking about Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia, Southern states.

36:33Myles Garrett:It ain't nothing like having no ribs, man, that fall off the bone, man. I know we're going to get killed, Ocho, but I eat pork ribs. I mean, I, I, man, listen, I don't care what it is. I'm finna eat it. But you ever had Tony Roma's? Pause. They're better restaurants, but I'm just saying.

36:52Shannon Sharpe:Pause, Ocho. You need to pause with that. What I said. You need to talk about whatever it is. I'm gonna eat it.

36:57Myles Garrett:Oh, we talking about food though, huh?

36:59Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, I don't know what you talking about.

37:01Myles Garrett:Okay, pause, pause. I don't know what you talking about. But there are very, very good barbecue places, but I just remember growing up in Highland Miami Lakes, I would always need to go to Tony Roma's and the goddamn ribs fall right off the bone. Yeah. Baby back rib. Oh my goodness. It was perfect. I haven't seen Tony Roma's. I want to go to

37:22Shannon Sharpe:Charlie. I want some dry rub ribs. Dry who? Dry rub. What'd that mean? Huh? Why you said dry? Because it's a rub. It's a seasoning that they put on them and they're dry.

37:37Myles Garrett:Okay. They're not wet

37:38Shannon Sharpe:like with sauce.

37:39Myles Garrett:Okay. okay yeah I ain't never heard that your lingo be different sometimes you say stuff I never heard before

37:48Shannon Sharpe:alright chat y 'all see what I be going through man my bad yeah well I'm in the Muslim reserves Ocho one week out of the month two weeks out of the year I don't eat no pork okay

38:04Myles Garrett:I like that

38:05Shannon Sharpe:but I eat everything on the pig except the squeal what oh yeah we got to go to destination smoke yeah and marietta uh california yeah

38:17Myles Garrett:that tendinism oh wait a minute nah we didn't didn't he take did something happen with that i don't know yeah the tenderism dude he left he got fired uh the dude took something like that The old man gone Well where we go we'll find him Yeah we gotta find him man Hell he ain't in witness protection Yeah He fell out with the owner After he Advertised and breaded And marketed his Establishment Dude they fell out

38:57Shannon Sharpe:Yeah but We going to the Damn When is the Vegas thing?

39:11Shannon Sharpe:What did you ask say? What did you ask say? Oh, about the tendonism guy? Oh, I don't know about the tendonism. All I know is that I see the thing is, and so I don't know whatever they fill out or he got a new restaurant. I don't know. I don't know, Chad. So don't start me the line. Yeah.

39:28Myles Garrett:We're going to find him. We're going to go. We're going to go. We got to go try that. yeah so

He'll try it. That live cereal commercial. You talking about Mikey from the cereal commercial back in the day? Yes, that's Ash. That commercial was classic. Yeah, that's Ash. But no, but I have I haven't really had no experience like that Ocho with a hotel where you know you know

42:04Myles Garrett:not like what Aaron is talking about no no yeah I've never had that I never had that situation either

42:13Shannon Sharpe:alright we're gonna get you out here on this it's time for our final segment of the evening it's time for Q and A

42:27Shannon Sharpe:oh my bad we having some technical difficulty y 'all run for me can y 'all both wish my son kaden c bands wilson a happy 14th birthday he's asleep but he'll see this in the morning absolutely ron thank you guys hey kaden happy 14th birthday happy 14th twin happy 14th twin I hope you had a great day. You did something really fun. You'll sleep right now, but when you see this in the morning, your favorite Uncle Neff, Uncle Ocho, want to wish you a very happy birthday. Happy 14th, Caden. Kevin Boatnight, Ocho, versus Logan Paul. Put hands on him. I like that. I like that. I like that.

43:12Shannon Sharpe:Aaron Anderson, Ocho, you should fight. You should fight Blueface.

43:16Myles Garrett:yeah yeah if he get past swaggy p if swaggy p beat a if swaggy p beat flu face blue face then i'm gonna have to i'm gonna have to whoop swaggy p uh air jordan scott uh keep it a bean

43:31Shannon Sharpe:do you miss debating skip every day uh that that was must see tv i turn in every day someone that could rival your sports knowledge on just about any sport and any topic um Those were some good times. They really were. We had a great time. It was great. I put a lot of heart. It was a lot of work that went into that to be able to do that two and a half hours every day, five days a week for about seven years. I miss being on television. I miss debating. Skip, it's a little different ESPN versus Fox because it's not so much one-on-one. Basically, with Skip and I, it was just Skip and I. It was just skipping out.

44:14Shannon Sharpe:You know, with Stephen A, it's me, Stephen A. Sometimes we'll have Saturday. Sometimes we'll have Ryan. Sometimes we'll have Cam. And so it's kind of hard to get that rivalry going back and forth. You kind of don't know where – you kind of get a sense, but you don't really know where the guy's going to go. But I do miss debating because I thought I was pretty good at it.

44:41Shannon Sharpe:And who knows? You never know what happens down the road, but eventually I'm going to work my way back on network television. Kevin Boatnight again. Respectfully, Lamar is too low since he's not on the list. Lamar was 28. Right? He's talking about the 99 best NFL quarterbacks ever. Lamar was number 28 on the list. so I mean considering that he's still playing and I think everybody else everybody else that's for the most especially top 10 all those guys have been to at least the Super Bowl and so Lamar gonna have look this is not etched in stone this is this year's ranking might be another ranking next year that he'll be higher.

45:41Myles Garrett:Yeah. I mean, it's going to change as the year is going on. It's going to change as the year is going on, especially the players that are still active, that are still playing.

45:49Shannon Sharpe:Yes.

45:49Myles Garrett:They're going to be able to improve in certain areas, especially with those that aren't. Now, Mahomes, do you think Mahomes can move up? I mean, he can move up.

46:00Shannon Sharpe:He won another Super Bowl. He's going to go to number two.

46:03Myles Garrett:Yeah. Okay. Okay.

46:08Shannon Sharpe:but I do and look I think this is Mahomes 10th year coming up

46:17Shannon Sharpe:it's going to be very interesting how what they do around him the protection they give him and the weapons because for the longest time they abandoned that because he was so great we don't need a great running back or we don't need this or that but you do Terry G what's up guys serious questions Why do we call Peyton Manning a five-time MVP but never call Steve McNair an MVP? They were co-MVPs. We do. Steve McNair won the MVP.

46:49Shannon Sharpe:Obviously, Steve tragically lost his life, but I played against Steve four times when I was in Baltimore because we were in the same division. At the time, it was the AFC North. No, it was the Central. he used to be the AFC Central and then they broke it up they put it in the south and then the north the west and the east stayed the same but no Steve he's an MVP I don't know if we've ever had I don't know if there's ever been another situation where we've had co-MVPs

47:29Shannon Sharpe:Alati H. Johansson USA USA yes men and women put foot in the Canadians

47:41Myles Garrett:congratulations

47:47Shannon Sharpe:we the champs we are the champions no time for losers because we Nina Rogers 89 could you speak on Dale Carter for a moment I feel like he doesn't get talked about enough my homeboy played against D.C. when he was at Kansas City played with him one year in 99 when he came to the Broncos D.C. could have been a lot better I mean long limb guy, great man to man coverage, he was physical but when you look at his stature you wouldn't expect him to be as physical as he was a little undisciplined at times with easily set off yeah superb athlete boy oh yeah yeah yeah yeah superior athlete i played with dc when dc was

48:39Myles Garrett:in baltimore i caught him you know during that time he was you know prime was there and oh dc

48:45Shannon Sharpe:was that then too yeah dc was there man wow i didn't know that yeah yeah i love dale i've been

48:51Myles Garrett:every time every time i see people that know dale and i've been asked for dale carter man you know to talk to him to catch up with him and see how he's doing i haven't been able to catch up with him yet i haven't heard i haven't heard from dc either uh you know um he's from georgia

49:13Shannon Sharpe:i don't know if he's in atlanta now but he was a he was a wow he was a wild one and he that he

49:21Myles Garrett:was that boy hey listen i i've heard i've heard the stories he was that yeah yeah i've seen i've

49:27Shannon Sharpe:seen it firsthand.

49:28Myles Garrett:Yeah, he was that boy.

49:29Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.

49:30Myles Garrett:Hey, Chad, if you know anybody that knows Dale Carter, tell Dale I'm looking for him, man. I just want to exchange pleasantries. I miss him. I love him. Would love to catch up, man, and talk, man. If anybody knows, tell him, send me a DM on Instagram. It'd be really dope to catch up.

49:49Shannon Sharpe:Sean underscore show. Oh, what's your draft preparation like? Where and what? where and what did you train? Oh, man, please. My draft preparation? I was in Savannah State, and I was running 40. I was running 100 meters. I didn't know nothing. I didn't know standing long jumping or short coming. When I showed up, that was the first time seeing that's what I was going to do. It ain't like it is now. Because it was in the early, early stages. Now, if I'm not mistaken, I think they had just started going to Indy like 87. See, they used to have regional combines, Ocho. Right. So if you was in the West, you went to somewhere in the West.

50:30Shannon Sharpe:If you was in the South, you went to somewhere in the South. If you was in the East, you went to somewhere in the East. There wasn't no central location like Indy like what they have now. Right. And so, yeah, I didn't really know anything like that. But there were guys that would obviously go into Orlando or they would go to different places and do the speed training. I didn't know anything about it because had I known, I definitely would have went

50:58Myles Garrett:I did all my work down in LA obviously with my coach and my receiver coach Charles Collins I'm sure a lot of people out in LA know who Charles Collins is he's basically the one responsible for my success my route running just everything about it so he got me ready for the combine and that was about it I did all my training out there Manhattan sand dunes back in the day I'm not sure the Manhattan Sand Dunes are still there.

51:27Shannon Sharpe:They're still there. I don't know people. I think they do Ocho. I still think they still go run them sometime.

51:34Myles Garrett:Okay. Yeah. I did all my training. Did my track work there. It was a good time. Those were some good days boy. Those were some good days.

51:41Shannon Sharpe:Yeah we definitely didn't. I had no idea Ocho that you could go because you get to the combine and you hear people talking about like because my year Ocho was the year that a lot of those juniors came out. Emmitt came out, Lamar Latham Jr., Seau, all those guys had come out. And so it slid a lot of people that might have been thinking they were going one place, it slid people down. I think Jeff George came out that year. But no, had I known, knowing what I know now, that you could go someplace and I could just specifically train, run the 40, do the short shuttle, and do stuff, stay the long jump, Vert.

52:26Shannon Sharpe:My numbers have been real good. Swole underscore nerd. $5 ,900 could go a long way on the hood party. Come on now. Yeah! $5 ,900? Man, I gave my homeboys $300. We had a nice little hood party. Yeah? Nice. Yes. Where was that? At the crib. Solo cups. We had like had like 15 steaks. We had like the bubble hamburger patties. Yeah. Got like three or four cases of beer. We had Absolute. We had Belvedere. We had Grey Goose. We had

53:22Shannon Sharpe:what was that other kettle one man we had a nice little hood party man

53:28Myles Garrett:hold on hold on hold on a hood party ain't a hood party without entertainment y 'all ain't had no entertainment

53:35Shannon Sharpe:no my grandma was lying there my grandma was sitting there so we had specific instructions no cussing and no loud talking okay so no adult ballet Hey, man, you cuss in front of your grandmother? He's like, nah. I said, well, don't cuss in front of mine. Yeah, I don't know.

53:49Myles Garrett:That's a no-no. That's a no-no.

53:51Shannon Sharpe:Absolutely not. So, Christopher Taylor. Hey, we birthday twins. My sister, too. She's six years older. Happy birthday, Christian. June 26th.

54:07Shannon Sharpe:Almighty James. I don't know nothing. Don't get nothing from nobody out the city. I bet you look. Hey, look. I usually get a little hook up here and there. You know what I'm saying? I ain't know. I ain't know.

54:24Shannon Sharpe:Johnny Mac, didn't know your co-host was in the Muppets. My profile pic. You was in the Muppets, Ocho? Yeah.

54:35Myles Garrett:He talking about my laugh. Oh, okay. I laugh like the Muppets.

54:41Shannon Sharpe:I thought you was in the Muppets for real, man. Now, you know I was on American Dad, man. They killed me off, Ocho.

54:47Myles Garrett:I was on Squid Billy's. I done been in a few cartoons, man.

54:52Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.

54:52Myles Garrett:Yeah.

54:58Shannon Sharpe:Joe Lord, Shay Shay, I love you. Uncle Ocho, thoughts on the birds, OC. Well, going by what Saquon said, he seems to be, look, I don't think he can be any worse than Petula. You know, this is not the first time, you know, They went to the Super Bowl. They lost. They lose Gannon and they lose Steichen. They struggle for a year. They go get a new coordinator and they go to the Super Bowl and they win. They bring fans and they win. So, hey, maybe Lightning can strike twice. Big Larry, that's true, Shannon. I had twins when I was 41 years old and triplets at 55.

55:39Myles Garrett:God damn, triplets? At 55. 55 C you got no excuse he had triplets I mean one more won't hurt I'm telling you boy another little one do something to you change your life how you thinking different how you walking different have you appreciating things a little bit more what you think about that oh yo what you thinking yeah

56:10Shannon Sharpe:man Ocho All right, I'm going to think about it.

56:14Myles Garrett:There we go.

56:15Shannon Sharpe:There we go. I thought about it. No. Come on, man.

56:25Shannon Sharpe:What did they say?

56:30Shannon Sharpe:JJ Carver 80. This is for Ash. How many ibuprofens and BCs you grow through laughing at Uncle Ocho? My nugget hit. the Dougie every show. Day one member and it's been worth every single buck. Salute to the whole crew. They don't know nothing about no BC and Goody Powders. That's a southern thing. They don't know nothing about that, Ocho.
