2:31Shannon Sharpe:Okay, we got a very special guest joining us. Joining us from the national champion Indiana Hoosier. He had one of the biggest plays of the game. And it was the difference in the game. Mikal Kamara. Mikal how you doing bro?
2:47Chad Johnson:I'm doing good I'm doing good how y 'all doing?
2:49Shannon Sharpe:What's up bro? You're doing good. Help me walk us through the punt block because you got a guy that's over you that's gonna block you and you got the up back that he kind of just like turned your loop were you surprised that like damn you ain't gonna put up no effort?
3:02Chad Johnson:Bro so the punt before that we was in defensive safe right so I kind of like oozed off the ball and I kind of seen I was like I'm a little bit closer to the punter than I thought I would be so I was like alright this next time if I get another opportunity I'm going to really shoot my shot so this one I really just got off the ball and I shot my shot and I blocked it and I was just like damn this is crazy you know what I got a question too obviously I've never seen it before maybe it's something that they do new in college MK but why is it that I see punters now instead of walking straight why is he veering off to the right making it easy for you to block the punt.
3:42Is that something new that they do in college? That's going to be around, especially with
3:46Chad Johnson:our special teams coordinator. We used to get a lot of guys from Australia. A lot of rugby style kickers. That's a big thing in college. Hey, bro, the block punt wasn't only probably the pivotal moment of the game, but it earned you MVP, defensive MVP. What that felt like, bro? What's that like? It was crazy, especially because the season has been a lot of ups and downs, especially from my season last year. So just kind of like to put a cherry on top to end my college career as a national champion and then as the defensive MVP, it's something only God could have written for me, man. That got to be the best feeling in the world, man.
4:35You got to think, bro, I've been playing football since I was four years old. I've been playing football since I was four years old and I've never ever been in a situation where I've been an MVP or I've won anything like a national championship or a Super Bowl when you realize when that clock is zero and you realize y 'all won that game what does that feel like? Walk me through it so I can feel it too because the only thing I ever wanted is it's fucking mad and that's it
5:02Chad Johnson:I got you Ocho it's surreal bro even right now it doesn't feel real. I'm seeing my Instagram blowing up, my Twitter blowing up, and I'm just looking at all the videos, all the clips, and it's just like I'm in third person, bro. It doesn't even feel like I'm looking at myself like it's somebody else. But it's me, I made the plays, I held up that trophy, and it's like it's a feeling that you just I'm not going to lie, but you might have got to put the cleats back on and try to get you one. Hey, you know, I got some eligibility. Oh, I know you do. I know you do. You come back. You come back. Hopefully come back and be a Hoosier, bro.
5:45Shannon Sharpe:Mikael, the last play. Now, it looked like you guys were in cover two, the coverage in the back end. Now, I'm surprised that Miami, because I think it was a terrible design, because normally, Ocho, when you're trying to throw something in the cover two, you've got to have somebody in the flat to control that corner, because if there's nobody in the flat, he's going to keep sinking. Plus, the safety is zooming over the top. So I don't know, even if he had led him, I'm not so sure it would have been completed past. When they called this defense, tell me what you were thinking. Like, I need to get home.
6:20Shannon Sharpe:And then all of a sudden, you see the ball release. What goes through your mind?
6:24Chad Johnson:Well, first, I mean, I'll kind of walk you back through just the whole, like, the last series for real. So just, like, knowing the way – so we kicked the field goal. and I'm like, okay, like, it's time to go get money. Like, this is, like, the best feeling as a defensive player. Like, the game is on your hands. Like, this is it. Right? So it's, like, time to go get money. And Coach pretty much put in, you know, our pass rushing substitution. So I was like, I got to get home. I got to get home. So I was rushing, doing my thing, and I was getting tired. I'm not going to lie. But I was like, that's true.
7:00Chad Johnson:I'll be tired. I ain't going to lie. but um but that last play so i'm kind of bending the edge and i kind of get pushed and i see the ball and i'm like damn like like no like it can't end like this and i hear the crowd pop and i look up and i see sharp with the ball he took his knee and he's running around and i'm like bro we really we better win this we better win this i'm like oh
7:27Shannon Sharpe:That's unbelievable. Yeah, you guys were getting tired. I was surprised that they didn't sub because they just kept letting you guys rush. I said, okay, I know y 'all got some other pass rushes. These guys are tired. After like two, three pass rushes, you spin.
7:41Chad Johnson:No, don't get it. I mean, unfortunately, my two brothers, they both got hurt, Kellen Wyatt and Stephen Daly. Those are my guys. So it was really kind of me out there. I'm not going to lie. I mean, I didn't mind the entire game, so I was feeling it, though. But it was like it's the final game for a storybook ending. Wow. So as the dust settles, it probably hasn't really hit you yet. It's only been a few days since you won a national champion. What's the next process? What's the next steps for you as you prepare for the next journey after college football? So right now it's right now I'm packing.
8:22Chad Johnson:trying to pack up my apartment and get ready to go go down to Florida to train oh you coming down here Orlando Bob Maritos Bob Maritos I'm coming down there you said what you gonna be training for the draft hell yeah
8:45Chad Johnson:I mean I hope anything gets me there's no I'm just throwing it out there. I'm just throwing it out there. We need a nice little defense. Hey, you haven't been to Cincinnati? I haven't been to Cincinnati. No. No? Man, listen, we can go ahead and get you acquainted, man. I have to have you meet Mr. Brown. Nah, yeah, that ain't what you want.
9:04Shannon Sharpe:That ain't what you want. So what do you know at the combine? What are you hoping to run? What are you hoping? What can we expect? Can we expect something 4 '6"? Can we expect a 10 1⁄2 foot long jump? Can we expect, you know, something special in the shuttle? What can we expect from you?
9:22Chad Johnson:I'm expecting big, big numbers for sure. Going down with Pete, Pete's pretty proven with everyone that he's trained. Oh, yeah. So the biggest thing is having him get me healthy. It's been a long, long season. Playing against some good competition. So body's definitely a little bit banged up. But I'm going to go down there and put on the show for sure.
9:43Shannon Sharpe:What made you decide to go to Indiana? What was it because prior to the last two years, there was the losing this college team in America. And somehow this is this is better than Rudy. The ending that you guys had this year. What what made you decide to go there? And what made you think that you guys could actually win it all? Or what do you think you could win it all?
10:04Chad Johnson:So pretty much so. He got the job at Indiana. This one. I was at JMU. So honestly, before the end of that season, I was already thinking about hitting the portal, and that kind of just made my decision solidified. So I hit the portal, and I still didn't really have any offers. I had Indiana, I had Pitt, and then I had Cincinnati. And it really just came down to playing in the Big Ten. Big Ten or ACC, I was not going to play in the Big Ten. But knowing the whole history of Indiana, I was like, dog, out of all the teams you decided to go to, it's Indiana. And we put up there in Bloomington, you know, it's cold.
10:46Chad Johnson:So we put up there in Indiana. It's January. I get there and it's like two, three feet of snow. I'm like, dude, what am I doing? But then we went through the whole process. We got to the – I always talk about the Maryland game last year. Maryland game was kind of like a real pivotal moment. That's kind of when we realized individually that we could play at this level. then the home win against Michigan was huge that's when we kind of realized as a team who we were and then it kind of not shattered but when we went down to Ohio State we realized like damn this is a big moment like we lost to them that stadium was rocking like when I tell you I've never played anything like that that was rocking but we definitely learned from that we learned from Notre Dame and you know all the guys that came back we kind of had a lot of experience then we got a lot of guys at the portal who are vets who played on winning teams and then this season we was tried we went through Oregon we went through Penn State we went through Ohio State we went through Iowa so those were just some of the big games that kind of made us realize like we are one of the top dogs for sure and then going down playing SEC playing Alabama beating them the way that we beat him he was like dog like it's up to us it's it's it's 100 100 in our hands to to drop this ball and we we came up on top well congratulations on mikhail on a very unbelievable season congrats
12:20Shannon Sharpe:man this is 16 and 0 you're the first team well in the uh uh in this era in the college football playoff era to win 16 games undefeated unblemished uh outstanding game that game was on the edge of your seat. You didn't know what was going to happen to the very end. And at the end of the day, you guys stay on the top of the mountain. So congratulations to who's your nation out there. Good luck in the draft, man. Come back and talk to us once this process is over. MK, where you from?
12:49Chad Johnson:Virginia. You're from VA? Okay, okay. How long you gonna be down here in Miami? I'm gonna be there until end of March. Okay, end of March. Okay, okay. But you've been a Tussie? I haven't. I have it okay okay we're gonna go grab a little bite nah I'm gonna do it hey it's business first but we can't oh yeah listen listen I take care of business too but you gotta eat

16:00Shannon Sharpe:Defensive player of the game in the college football playoff national championship. And now his college dream is realized he's a national champion. And now he goes down to Florida to train for the draft and get ready to hopefully put some good numbers in and get drafted really, really high. All right, going back to the Bills. Mr. Pagula also addressed what boiled down in regards to firing Sean McDermott. Here's his reasoning, guys. Again, I go back to 5-2-3, 2-2-2-6. Great roster. Good coaching. No Super Bowl appearance. And I can't emphasize, if I can put you all in that room at that moment after the game, it's like, how do we overcome this?
16:52You know, it's been one year after another. And that was the sense of how do we overcome this? And I just couldn't see us doing that with Sean. that's why I relieved him it's not an easy decision trust me with that success but what is success is success being in the playoffs seven years in a row with no Super Bowl appearance standards hey listen so he believes bringing someone else in changing everything up the coaches the players the continuity that Josh Allen had with that offense, the defensive guys, the continuity they had with the defensive coordinator, they think the chances are better, scrapping everything off, bringing in new coaches, bringing in a new regime, having the offensive players having to learn an entirely new offense, and thinking things are going to change, because you fired Mr.
17:58McDermott. Like, make it make sense. You're starting back over from scratch, which you already do, but at least the same system and the continuity and the familiarity and knowing it makes it a little easier once you get into season and once you get in the flow now you start back over from scratch yeah and you think things are going to be different because you didn't go over to get over the hump okay oh joe when we were talking real
18:28Shannon Sharpe:quick you remember when we was talking in october i said oh joe at some point in time he the owner is going to believe that Sean McDermott has taken this team as far as he can take it. He said we had hit the playoff proverbial wall. That's what he said. Now, he put an awful lot of blame on Sean McDermott. Josh Allen turned the ball over four times. They turned the ball over five times as a team. Four of them in Josh's hands. I didn't hear you say nothing about that.
18:57Chad Johnson:Somebody got to take the play. Hold on. You know he's not going to throw his quarterback under the bus. The quarterback is too valuable. He threw the ball under the bus. The quarterback means two bucks to him. I'll tell you one thing. If he had said, if he had did, Josh. No, he couldn't do that. Josh is gone. Thank you.
19:13Shannon Sharpe:Josh is out of there. Josh is out of there. Yeah, exactly. But here's my thing, Ocho. They know who to play with. What you going to say, Ocho? No, I was just saying, they know who to play with. They know who to play with. Help me understand this, Ocho. He put all this blame on the coach. He said the coaches wanted Keon Coleman. So what role did Brandon Bean play in building this roster? He only drafted – did Brandon Bean draft Josh Allen? So he drafted two pluribro players since he's been there. And he think there's a great roster. Really? Hold on. How long Mr. Bean been there, huh? Hold on. Ash is looking it up right away.
19:54Because I want to know, when did Deion Dawkins get there?
19:57Shannon Sharpe:He didn't draft Dawkins. I don't think he drafted Dawkins either. Okay.
Read the full transcript
20:04Shannon Sharpe:So he drafted his first draft with Josh Allen. His second draft with Josh Allen, okay. Did he draft Doc?
20:15Shannon Sharpe:Because he's drafted two Pro Bowl players since Josh Allen. Obviously, we know Josh Allen's been to the Pro Bowl, and he's been an MVP. Right. He had the offense in the first second season. Josh Allen did it. Okay. So I don't think this roster is immensely talented. I don't.
20:37Chad Johnson:I don't.
20:38Shannon Sharpe:They got no pro bowl players on defense. I think Josh Allen was a pro bowler this year, right? He's an alternate? He's an alternate? I'm asking. I'm not sure. I'm thinking it's Drake May, Justin Herbert, and was it Trevor Lawrence or Josh Allen, the Pro Bowl quarterback for the AFC?
21:07Okay, Josh Allen.
21:11Shannon Sharpe:So basically, and Deion Dawkins made the Pro Bowl too, didn't he? So they got no players on defense, and they got two players on offense, the left tackle and the quarterback. That's it? James Cook. James Cook, James Cook, yeah. Oh, okay. So three. You ain't got no players on defense. Yeah. The Broncos got a left tackle, a right guard, and a wide receiver. They got Pat Sertan. They got Nick Benito. And they got Zach Allen. So they got six pro bowlers. Okay, let's go to New England. Drake May. You ain't got no pro bowl. And, look, I ain't going to get on no soapbox for Sean McDermott. Your expertise is defense.
22:04Shannon Sharpe:Your defense has been trashed in the postseason. They've been trashed, Ocho. They give up over 30 points a game. Yeah. You're not winning very many games, Ocho. In the playoffs, you give up 30 points. The playoffs is different than the regular season. You could give up 30 a couple times in the regular season and win a game. You start giving up 30 in the postseason, your ass going home. hey you know what we already knew we knew joe and on we knew the goddamn bills didn't have much on offense where you think the moniker came from where josh allen happened to be superman cape out he got to pull the cape out joe because they don't have much josh allen is one of the few quarterbacks that could probably go on any team and elevate everybody else because of what he's able to do josh allen has to elevate everyone else that's around him and he has to do more with less and that's what he's been able to do and we then coach and mr bean up there talking about we have our our our what's the word per review what's that what's that that's a big word would you what you try to play off what play off what they play off what proverbial wall proverbial yeah i like i like that i like hey they hit the proverbial uh joe hey joe they hit their proverbial it's meaning that it's it's not an actual wall but that's what that's the state that's as far as they can go obviously See, that's as far as they can go.
23:18So they hit their playoff proverbial.
23:21Shannon Sharpe:It's a straw that broke the proverbial camel's back. Right, right, right. That's a new word. Yeah, for sure. But I'm just saying, is the owner, you understand that. You understand. You know he needs more help. You know he needs more help offensively. And obviously, you want who you know you want to be the expert. You would love Keon Coleman, as high as he went, as far as being drafted. He's supposed to be the expert. and he's supposed to be that guy to say, you know what? You don't need to bring nobody else in here. I got this. I'm going to take some of the pressure off James Cook. I'm going to take some of the pressure off Josh Allen.
23:56I'm going to take some of the pressure off the office of coordinators because you know why? Bitch, y 'all can count on me. Just put the ball in the area. Just put it in the vicinity. That's what they thought, Ocho. Yeah, that's what they thought. But I'm going to make sure when I get a hold of him and he get back, it's going to be just like that. Shit.
24:16Shannon Sharpe:Why they got me hot? Wait, they got me hot. Talk about that man like that. Well, that's what Keon Coleman, they got rid of Stephon Diggs last year. Remember? So he was supposed to come in. And take a finger. And Diggs balling. Yes. Yeah. Yeah, he over there cutting up. And, you know, when they had, I mean, look, Josh and Diggs was a super duper connection. And look, they're looking at it like, okay, prior to Saturday, Josh hadn't turned the ball over in six games, Ocho. That's crazy. He was on the roll. He was on the roll, huh? And that's always been his Achilles heel, Joe, in the past. In the past, in his earlier days, you know, the first two, three, four years, his problem and his issues were turning the ball over because of his goddamn arm talent.
25:08Crazy arm talent. You know what? I think I can squeeze that in here. I'm going to throw this rope. I'm going to throw it anyway. I'm going to let it go. He was like Brett Favre there.
25:16Chad Johnson:The bad day to be trash. The bad day to be trash. Oh, yeah.
25:22Shannon Sharpe:So, I mean, those five interceptions had more to do with it than Sean McDermott. Now, Sean, like I said, and when we were talking about this, Ocho, you say, oh, that man been to the playoffs since Ocho. At some point in time, man, the owner's going to think the man has gone as far. He keep hitting his head on the ceiling just as far as he can go. Yeah. I mean, just knowing how owners think, Ocho, I said, yeah, this is not going to end well. This is not going to end well. Yeah. You can't keep going, going to the playoff, and it's like two seed, five seed, six seed. Yes. But Josh brought you back last week against Jacksonville.
26:02Shannon Sharpe:He has to play. The thing is, it's hard to continuously win when your quarterback has to be great every single game or you cannot win. Right. There have been some games that Tom didn't play great, but they run you out of the building. Or the defense would get turnovers and stuff like that. But when Tom needed to be great, he was always great when he needed to. He could play like dog poop. Let him need a drive to get in field goal range or touchdown to beat you. He going to get there. Every, every time. Like John Witherspoon said it Friday, that's your ass, Mr. Postman. Tom was coming. but I don't like this I don't like putting all this on Sean McDermott I do me I do think it was time for a different voice in there but Brandon I'm just trying to figure out normally when they clean the house they clean everybody the house stinks but all y 'all did was clean the living room what about the bathroom what about the fish that y 'all left in there for three days hold on I got a question once McDermott gets fired doesn't all his staff go to it absolutely okay okay okay okay well that's clean the house No, I'm talking about the general manager.
27:13Oh, you're keeping it in power clean. Okay. You want everybody going, huh?
27:18Shannon Sharpe:How you going to keep the hair and throw out the hide? The hair got to go with the hide. Everything got to go.
27:26Shannon Sharpe:That's a good one. Man, please. But I don't like this. I don't think this was very, very professional of Mr. Pagula to take this opportunity to try to dump on Sean McDermott, to try to dump on Keon Coleman. Well, he got to take the pressure off. He got to take the pressure off him, huh? Joe, that's the game they play, Joe. That's the game they play. How do I take the pressure off of me? I point the finger at everybody else, even though I'm the one in the position of power making the calls. So technically, I'm just as responsible as Mrs. McDermott because everything got to go through you anyway.
28:06Absolutely. You get a green light to everything.
28:10Shannon Sharpe:So what part do you play in this, Mr. Pagula? And I told you, Ocho, remember, they got this new stadium coming. Don't they move in that new stadium next year? Damn, they finished the draft? Yes, yes. Yes, they got to do it. I told you, Ocho.
28:27Chad Johnson:What, is it closed now?
28:31Shannon Sharpe:I don't know. I mean, I wouldn't put no dome in Buffalo. because that's to my advantage.
28:40Chad Johnson:Right. Man, hell is this? Well, it ain't too much advantage. They done been home every goddamn...
28:55Shannon Sharpe:But a lot of times, look, they haven't... And a lot of this, I'm sure Mr. Bagulu was looking, like, hold on. the proverbial walls have been removed from my homes lamar got expect especially now lamar has never beaten josh in the postseason but my homes and uh joe burrow has so two of the thorns that's been in my side have been removed and we still can't get there yeah this this eight oh this was the this was the year and this might be why mr bean and the pagula are upset i can understand because hell no Lamar you ain't got to deal with him you got to deal with Joe you ain't got to deal with you know brother Mahomes well hell the AFC is clear for us I think the only issue is the only problem I would have thought he backstabbed him Ocho how how you losing just as much as Sean McDermott he gets fired you get a job promotion yeah you know that hey that's the game they play I'm like hold on How I lose my job, he get elevated.
30:06Shannon Sharpe:So, oh, the coach wanted him. So what about all them other players that ain't paying it out like they're supposed to? Coach wanted him too, huh?
30:16Shannon Sharpe:Okay. And that's crazy, bro. Oh, Joe, Joe, before we go to the next topic, we want to give people a very special sneak peek at the first episode dropping next week of the content we shot in New York. I want to give a special, a special shout out to Ro that made this all possible. So thank you, Ro Sparks. Ro Sparks. And we're at the Lawn Club in New York for Ro.
30:44Shannon Sharpe:Hey, hey, hey, they used to call me Tiger Hood. I ain't no more. I don't even putt no more. I don't want to take no more of my shots.
30:52Chad Johnson:You see what he's trying to do? Look how he yanking. No, it's over.
30:59Shannon Sharpe:I get one back, yo. I get one back. You gotta make both of us. No, but I get one back.
31:04Chad Johnson:What was the last game-changing innovation introduced into your sex life?
31:09Shannon Sharpe:This was the last great adventure. The last great adventure. That's it, Ro.
31:14Chad Johnson:That Ro spark. Yes, sir. Yeah. That Ro spark. Woo! You ain't lying.
31:21Shannon Sharpe:Boy, we out of time. We out of time. 31:51Chad Johnson:Yeah, Joe showed up. I was like, who is this? Hey, Chad, I got one thing to say. Your boy put down a mean demonstration, you hear me? I put down a mean demonstration. See how he was on Choke?
32:05Shannon Sharpe:You see how he was on Choke? See, ain't talking spicy. You see how he was on Choke? Hey, now what he told us on Choke, man, you know I ain't gonna say too much, you know, cause I don't do too much talking. You know, I don't do too much talking. Y 'all look at it.
32:18Chad Johnson:Chad, y 'all gonna be proud of your boy, Chad. I thought I was saying. I ain't gonna say nothing else. Hey, Unk, Ocho. Hey, man, listen. Me, Unk, Ocho, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, man, we had a time. You hear me? Yeah. They say, man, what y 'all was out there doing in New York? I said, man, we kicked it. We kicked it. Hey, before y 'all see, before y 'all see, I just want to let y 'all know that Joe, he's coming off injury. Got bad hips, bad knees. So I just want y 'all to - There we go. Don't do that, Ocho. Don't do that.
32:55Shannon Sharpe:Don't do that. I had to spell.
32:58Chad Johnson:They didn't want to hear all that, Ocho. They don't want to hear all that, compliment and please and all that. I ain't compliment and please. I just - I felt bad. I'm just being honest. I felt bad. You wrote all these checks that your ass couldn't catch. Yeah. That's what's going to happen.
33:13Shannon Sharpe:Alligator mouth, herming-bullered ass. Alligator mouth, herming-bullered ass. Hold on, hold on. Hold on, man. I was being very respectful of my elders. As a matter of fact, when we go do another one, you not going to win, Ocho. We're not going to let you win. Hold on, it depends on what we're doing. Unless we run a hundred yard dash, you ain't winning ish. Hey, hey. Oh, man, come on. Hey, hold on, hold on. There you go. There you go. There you go.
33:40Chad Johnson:You feel them talking about chat? You feel them talking about? Look at him. Oh, you got to chill. Hey, hey, ass Jordan. We gotta get the nightcap belt. I got a couple of these. I've been running things since. I told y 'all, man, listen, if I don't win, I don't eat. You hear me? Huh? You see what I'm talking about, Chad? I'm trying to tell y 'all, hey, listen. You see what I'm talking about, Chad? Listen, listen, listen. Okay. Chad, y 'all stay with me. Boy, y 'all gonna be proud of you, boy. You hear me? Y 'all like the new kid on the block. Y 'all should see how they treated me in that first episode.
34:10Chad Johnson:I know it was bad. It was bad. They treated me bad. Ooh, they treated me bad. But I locked in. When I locked in, I seen red. I went off. I went. Hey, you know what? Hey Joe, you know what? Joe, I'm glad you're confident. I'm glad you're talking spicy. I'm glad you excited. You know, you feeling good about yourself. But how about we play things that I'm familiar with? Like ping pong. Oh Joe. Everything that we played you was familiar with. Oh Joe. Oh Joe. What? Like what? Everything that we played. No, I ain't know nothing about that. I ain't either. I ain't either. I ain't either.
34:44Shannon Sharpe:All I was new to these. You just said you Tiger Hood, but you lost to Arnold Palm Tree. You know what I'm saying? Arnold Palm Tree. That's not. Nah, Chad, y 'all ain't. One time was had though, but Joe ain't. Joe was on one. Joe was talking. I'm like, hold on. I'm looking at Ocho, I was like, Ocho, who this? I don't know who that was. I don't know who that was.
35:11Chad Johnson:I don't think we had a hell of a time. That's what happened. We had a good time. That's right. Joe Day coming. I just want you to know, Chad, Joe Day is coming.
35:19Shannon Sharpe:It is coming sooner than you think. Oh, yeah. I'm ready.
35:27Shannon Sharpe:Charles Barkman says, Inside the NBA crew isn't happy about their lack of appearances. When I was talking about working all the time, I'm not going to do all these damn shows. I'm not going on ESPN 1, 2, 3, Deportes, Nacho, Etch, Echo, whatever they call it. I'm not going to be doing all that. But I wish we'd have been doing more than the first half of the season. Because I don't think they've only been on, what, like two or three times?
35:49Chad Johnson:Yeah, man. Hey, listen, I look forward to seeing them three on there, man. Well, not three, four. I look forward to seeing them on there getting it. So, yeah, I hadn't seen them but a couple times seemed like Uncle Ocho. You know, they hadn't been as visible as when they were on TNT, bro. 39:08Shannon Sharpe:That's the whole part. Look. Why they did that? Look, the money. Yeah. Well, you got to pay them anyway. And I know you know you like your NBA today, your NBA crew. I understand that. But people, look, Chuck, Kenny, Ernie, and Shaq, people want to hear what what Chuck gonna say. Yeah. He gonna act a fool. Shaq gonna be a fool. They wanna see Kenny race to the board.
39:34Chad Johnson:Yeah.
39:35Shannon Sharpe:Put him on. Why you paying him all that money, all that money that you paying him, and you ain't had him on with like two or three times the first half?
39:44Shannon Sharpe:You think maybe they wanna go in a different direction? No. Because if they wanted to go in a different direction, ESPN could've just let him go. Because TNT don't have foot, don't have basketball anymore. They could've just let him go, but they realized the ratings, ain't nothing they're going to put on, nobody's going to put on, going to beat Shaq, Ernie, Kenny, and Chuck. Absolutely. I don't care what network, Peacock, Amazon is, they're not beating them. No. Yeah. They're different altogether, man. The chemistry is phenomenal. But it's hard because that is Disney. And Chuck and Kenny, the way they're behaving sometimes, that's not – Disney probably looking at it, that's not the best representation.
40:24Shannon Sharpe:But you knew what you bought. Right. I mean, how do I purchase a snake and don't expect to get bit at some point in time? Every person that's ever handled a snake has been bitten at some point in time. I don't care whether it's venomous or none. Hopefully, it's not an inland taipan or western taipan or common brown. I'm hoping it's not one of those. Because unless you're in the emergency room, there's a good chance you ain't going to make it. Yeah, I had one of them elements. a snake you ain't had no damn inland taipan no i had the other one common brown oh yeah i had a common brown you must be living in australia then no no no i i had him from australia oh i got him yeah i got him for christmas we call his name with charlie brown huh yeah yeah man you gotta cut it out oh first of all you scared of snakes why would i be scared ever since uh that that So pull that snake out on your girl.
41:34Shannon Sharpe:Yo! Yo! Hey.
41:39Chad Johnson:Hey, come on, man. Let him live. Let him live. Hey, come on, man. My bad, Ocho. My bad, Ocho. Hey, hold on. I came on here. I thought this was the same place to be. to be vulnerable and share some of some.
41:58Shannon Sharpe:Okay, Chad. Chad, I'm sorry. Chad, I'm sorry, Chad. Chad, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Hey, listen, I ain't telling y 'all don't do my story.
42:08Chad Johnson:Come on, Joe, man, come on, man. Don't do that. Hey, you know, this good therapy, man. This good therapy, this good thing. Hey, I ain't telling you, hey, listen, man. Listen, I got so, hey, Joe, I got so many good stories, right? that's my good story i got story that that was that was young that was i was a freshman like listen i've been done wrong many times i know that no like the way i'm making fun of me i don't even want to be vulnerable okay i don't make fun of you got chill okay you got chill get it i'm sorry get a man some grades damn yeah man like i hey hey joe i hey 80 they don't know i already know joe hey hey they didn't put me through the room you know the man got a lot of trauma and scars that man laid that anaconda hey well hold on joe i ain't really got no scars right i ain't really got no trauma right because i already know joe like i think with logic i think yeah but you know you know through that experience though like right right and you know you love it you love to give people the benefit of the doubt and sometimes the benefit of the doubt is the same thing that end up burning you in the end.
43:18Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, I'm sorry Ocho. Yeah, you good, because I'm getting a little emotional right now. And now what I'm not gonna do is I'm not gonna cry, because that's gonna be another joke.
43:27Chad Johnson:Nah, ain't nobody gonna let them do that. So can I - Yeah, I got you. Look, if anybody makes fun of you, I always got your back. I can make fun of you, but they can't.
43:36Shannon Sharpe:I got your back too. Yeah. Okay, okay. Okay. Yeah.
43:46Chad Johnson:Man, I didn't just imagine.
43:53Shannon Sharpe:Man, look here. It's what they do. Somebody to tell you that your girl or your wife or whatever has been up but to actually see it. They see that monster he had on him.
44:07Chad Johnson:Oh, man. Come on, man. Come on. Come on. Hold on.
44:13Shannon Sharpe:Hey, Joe. Hey, Joe. That man came up out of the car and was backing up.
44:27Chad Johnson:Hey, Ocho.
44:28Shannon Sharpe:That man had to hop down off Ocho, girl.
44:34Hey, Ocho. Hey, Ocho. Hey, how you winding up? Hey,
44:41Shannon Sharpe:he's like, give me a second chance.
44:47Shannon Sharpe:Oh, that's traumatic. That's a very traumatic experience. He's not telling us done those, man. That's a, that's a, I mean, Ocho, if you did something, man, that's a crime of passion. Yeah, but you see, it wasn't traumatic to me. I, I, listen, I'm, I'm very understanding of human nature, Joe. You hear me? Yo, I'm very understanding of human nature, Joe. So I've been there. I understand we all make mistakes. Right, right. Some mistakes you can come back from. And I had too much to lose, even at a young age. You're right, Ocho. You're right. You know what? Oh, that's what you choose to do? Okay, cool.
45:21Head of your business. I'm gone. I done went on to live a very good life and still living it, Joe. You know? And hold on. I ain't even tell you. You know, social media make it easy to get back to people you ain't seen in years.
45:35Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah. All you got to do is type the name in. You found her? Who do you think after I told the story was in my head and trying to get out of here? Hey. Talk about, hey, how you doing? I heard you talk about. I see you doing it.

Boy, that's salt and pepper.
53:20Yeah, yeah, yeah. They did like that. Now you got me thinking about growing mine.
53:25Shannon Sharpe:I'm about to get on them cookies, then. What's that? Oh, Lordy, man. You said you've been to get on them cookies. Oh, you're from the East side. Yeah, all right, you know. Okay, okay. Maybe grow a little bit. Okay. nah i just play it hold on what kind of wait what kind of cookies we talking about it's about yeah cookie oh you're gonna eat the front end or back whoa whoa you're going too far come on man i mean if you're gonna have just come up next door don't mean i'm gonna knock on that doughy too hello i'm in your neighbor i'm over here i'm i just came to visit hey how have a good time. Damn!
54:12We were having a good time. I'm just saying if you're going to do something... No, no, no. I know I'm around the corner
54:18Shannon Sharpe:and I can just drop in, but I'm not. Yeah, sometimes you got to go through the back door. Slip of the tongue ain't nobody's fault. You right, around the corner? Hey, boy, y 'all here. See, I'm just trying to do... Man. I'm just trying to have you do right. I'm trying to do right, but you you you won't let it have my moment why i gotta do all that why can't we take baby steps ocho hey listen hey baby steps oh but hey um hey we don't tomorrow ain't promised what you talk about what about baby steps like we like we in my 20s we ain't got time to wait look just because you do what you do man don't make you no bad brother now no no i don't mean we just know not to drink out the same cup as you i mean that's okay why you can't oh no oh no wait yeah come on Come on.
55:08Chad Johnson:What? Ain't nothing wrong with O.G. Yeah, I'm good. I'm good.
55:15Shannon Sharpe:Hey, Ocho Cup, I'm going to drink like this here. Like I'm in the desert drinking out of canteen. Oh, no, you can't put your lips on Ocho Cup. Hey. This could be Steve Kerr last year with the Warriors for the Ringers, Logan Murdoch. This is the final year of his contract. Out of Wednesday, he has yet to sign a new deal, though Kerr has publicly been mummed about his future. Multiple assistant coaches have been operating under the premise that he will not return next season, according to team sources, with some surveying the league to secure jobs next season. Joe, what are your thoughts? I can see that, Onkinocho.
55:54Chad Johnson:I can see this being Kerr last year without announcing it. I don't know if they offered him a contract, but obviously he hasn't signed one. So I can see this being his last year. You know, I think that team has been – obviously he came into a dynasty, I would say, that. I thought Mark Jackson done a great job. But I thought Steve Kerr, you know, reaped the benefits of having that great team. And they got a dynasty, bro. I think this is it, though. I think this is the last hoorah, just the people on it. So I'm glad you said that, Joe. And you could probably correct me, Chad, for those of you that know basketball and have a better knowledge of the game than I do, well, if this is his last stop and he's no longer going to be there, they're not going to extend him, is there any reason for Steph Curry to still stay?
56:45Shannon Sharpe:I mean, Steph, strike me as a guy that wants to be a one-Jersey guy, Ocho. He wants to be a magic. He wants to be a bird. I think that's what separates. You know, because all the superstars in his era, LeBron, KD, possibly Giannis, will have moved. Kobe, Magic, Bird, some of the greats, you know. So, hold on. We just saw Damian Lillard extend his stay in Portland for no reason. So now you're telling Steph Curry to do the same thing. No, I'm not telling him to, but I'm just talking about how he's probably thinking. Yeah, he shouldn't think like that because you saw Dame extend his stay way too long.
57:25Chad Johnson:I don't know. I've been seeing Steph Curry wear all these different shoes because he's a free agent, you know, on the footwear side. I can see him playing somewhere else. Really? See? There you go. Thank you, Joe. I don't know. I don't know. For whatever reason, I can see him playing somewhere else because I feel like he deserves to play on another great team with some other great players. Not to say that the Golden State Warriors doesn't have it. I just don't. I think they ran out with championships. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
57:57Shannon Sharpe:They're not constructed to win no championship. They're not even close.
58:00Chad Johnson:You lose Jimmy Butler the other night. It's over now. He tore his ACL. So it's like you got – that's a big void to fill.
58:07Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
58:08Chad Johnson:I can – man, I can see him somewhere else. So how about this? And I'm not playing 2K. Giannis to the Knicks, LeBron to the Knicks, and Steph.
58:21Shannon Sharpe:I can see LeBron possibly going to Golden State and playing with Steph. Ooh, okay, okay. I see where you're going. They're going to – I see. I'm picking what you're putting down.
58:32Chad Johnson:They're going to get out there wild, wild west. They're going to go out east. Go east? Yeah, yeah. It's easy to come out east, huh? As currently constructed, yes. Hey, that west, you beat yourself up. By the time you get to the conference finals in the Western Conference, boy, you're going to have to have some young thoroughbreds.
58:55Shannon Sharpe:Okay, okay. I mean, y 'all, what if you go team up with Ant-Man? Ooh.
59:02Chad Johnson:That's not a big market. Even though he makes the market, I don't see him going to Minnesota. I'm with Ocho on that one. I don't know why the Knicks keep popping up in my head with Bron, but I can see that because I just feel like he won a championship in L.A., in the bubble. Obviously, people put an astrid beside it, but I think that was tough. He won a championship. Man, that man messing around, go to New York and win a title. Come on, Ocho. What we talking about? Yeah. Yeah. New York, they been looking that great as of late. I've been hearing a lot of rumblings over there. Who that? New York.
59:43Chad Johnson:New York Knicks. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
59:45Shannon Sharpe:You see Jalen Brunson called a team on our players only meeting?
59:47Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah.
59:49Shannon Sharpe:They playing bad, huh? Yeah. They going to shake it up, though. All right. We're going to get out of here on this with this time for our final segment of the evening. It's time for Q.
1:00:03Hey, Joe. I'm watching Shea, OKC playing.
1:00:08Chad Johnson:He getting to it. Man, that boy got a bag. I keep peeking up by accident. Every time I peek up, he doing something. That's like me, you and Unk. That's me against you and Unk. Just wang. Okay, my bad. There you go.
1:00:22Shannon Sharpe:See what I'm saying, don't you? See what I'm saying, chat? Y 'all see how he is?
1:00:26Chad Johnson:There you go. Go ahead, Unk.
1:00:28Shannon Sharpe:I agree with Ocho I believe Malik Willis would be a better fit in Miami than Tua yeah yeah absolutely Tua already asked for a change of scenery he made those comments yeah so he's probably not going to be there I like Malik Willis he's definitely going somewhere huh oh yeah Tua oh yeah it's a few teams going to be after him now I like him. He's nice. Eric Jordan Scott, I've been waiting all day for this. I got popcorn ready and everything. I couldn't wait to see cream Keon Coleman. This is going to be a good one. It should be a wake-up call to hear your owner come out like basically, I ain't want him.
1:01:13Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. We ain't want him. Not to say we wouldn't have taken him. We probably wouldn't have taken him as high as we did. That's a wake-up call. With a wake-up call, as Ocho said, when you're healthy, scratches. Yeah, this is this is even worse. This is even worse than the healthy scratch because now not only you're a healthy scratch, you kind of know why you're healthy scratch. But to hear how they really feel about you. Oh, well, that's that hurt.
1:01:40Chad Johnson:He needed me. He needed. He needed.
1:01:44Shannon Sharpe:K.L.B. in 99. What's up? I'm sorry if I missed it. But you didn't see Bengals released Jermaine Burton. Do you think he gets a chance somewhere else? Love the show. So, Ocho, I think that's a question for you because you know the young man. You've had a conversation with him. He has some things going on. I don't know to what extent. But what can you tell us about that situation, Ocho? I mean, it's obviously talking to Jamar, talking to T. They tried to take J.B., Jermaine Burton, under his wing. There were some issues coming late, casino stuff, gambling stuff, some stuff publicly outside of football, personal stuff that was going on.
1:02:25And I think it's been too much, and he just wasn't able to catch on. I think they gave him chance after chance after chance. I'm not sure, being that he is so young, being that he is an immense talent, I think he may catch on somewhere else, and someone else will give him a chance. Because he's young, he's talented, he's fast. He can help a team if he can get his affairs in order off the field. so he can focus on what to do on it.
1:02:52Shannon Sharpe:Caleb said, this trope broke down, mine running perfect. Would I pick him up in a snowstorm? No. A-Up was hailing the lead. Man, that was the, with me and Ray Buchanan was going at it at the Super Bowl. Sheldon Pope, ISO, you've been in Atlanta for some time now. What's your Atlanta hip-hop Mount Rushmore?
1:03:12Chad Johnson:Damn. Atlanta hip-hop, man. I grew up on T.I. Obviously, T.I. Ludacris. Outkast.
1:03:27Chad Johnson:Goody Marr. You better have Usher on that. Usher really ain't from... Yeah, he is. He was raised here. I think he from Tennessee somewhere.
1:03:37Shannon Sharpe:He is from Tennessee.
1:03:38Chad Johnson:He called ATL home for them. I know. I know. I know he was raised here. Yeah, you got to put Usher in there, bro. Top five? and they got so many they got so many you got Luda
1:03:52Shannon Sharpe:you mentioned TI you got Future, Outkast Jeezy Jeezy yeah Gucci yeah it's so many they have a top 5 you can ask everybody from Atlanta if you talking hip hop Usher gonna be in there Usher not hip hop that's R &B so so hip hop gotta be rap yes no that's a different genre no Usher anything musical Usher
1:04:28Chad Johnson:but Mount Rushmore rappers
1:04:35Shannon Sharpe:three stacks gotta be there oh yeah yeah Andre GZTI Luda. I got Luda, my guy. Man, if Luda jumped on a feature, it was a wrap. You already know what it was. Yeah, Luda nice, boy. You already know what it was.
1:04:56Chad Johnson:Luda nice. Yeah. Hey, it's special out here, boy.
1:05:04Shannon Sharpe:Black 91, the media thinks LeBron is better than Kobe. NBA players and former NBA players don't think that all he's named is same universe as Kobe. He's not in the same universe as Kobe. Okay, if you want to say Kobe is better than LeBron, I'm not finna fight you. We'll debate that another day. But to say he's not in the same universe, you high. Now you just saying stuff. Now you just saying stuff. You're just saying stuff. You know what the difference is, though? hey Joe you know the difference is LeBron is great Kobe is great Kobe has a different mentality in his approach to the game Kobe is a stone cold killer boy no mercy he ain't trying to be your friend he don't care nothing about what you got going in your life he out there on that court he's trying to kill you same with Michael Jordan mentality.
1:06:05They're pros to the game. LeBron is just as great. He just goes about it in a much different way. I agree. A much different way.
1:06:13Shannon Sharpe:All-time leading scorer and he's going to be top three in assists. And he's going to be top five in three-pointers.
1:06:21Chad Johnson:The game going to miss him when he's gone, Uncle Ocho.
1:06:26Chad Johnson:They're going to miss him.
1:06:29Shannon Sharpe:For the first time, for the second time. So for 21 straight seasons, LeBron James was always the best player on his team. Was Kobe always the best player on his team? You didn't have the conversation. Who was more valuable when he was with Shaq? Shaq was the best player on that team from 96, 97, 98, 99, 2000, 2001.
1:06:56Chad Johnson:Whoa. In 2001 was like a toss-up. Both of them average like 35 a game in the playoffs, bro. Hold on, Joe. You agreeing with Unk with that? I'm saying that Shaq was the best player all them years. I'm saying that last year. I'm saying Kobe was, he was carrying them just as much as Shaq was carrying them. Well, his last year was 03. I mean, I'm talking about that 01 season.
1:07:24Shannon Sharpe:Oh, you talking about the team when they beat Indiana?
1:07:26Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah, when they had to go through – when they went through Sacramento or San Antonio.
1:07:32Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. I mean, it's just hard for me to say somebody that averaged a 36 and 17.
1:07:40Chad Johnson:Oh, you got to look. Kobe numbers was right there with him. I don't know if it was 36, but it was like 35. No, Kobe.
1:07:45Shannon Sharpe:I think Kobe averaged like 30.
1:07:47Chad Johnson:Oh, you talking about regular season or postseason? I'm talking about postseason and the playoffs that year.
1:07:51Shannon Sharpe:Because I think Kobe that year. I think Kobe in the regular season was damn close. He might have been, I mean, he might have averaged more than Shaq.
1:07:59Chad Johnson:Yeah. I'm talking about to be like.
1:08:03Shannon Sharpe:Shaq was just so dominant back then, man. I mean, it was just ridiculous. Yeah, Shaq was nice.
1:08:07Chad Johnson:But the thing is, Shaq was dominant, but Kobe was at the tender age of 21, 20, 22 years old when he was winning titles, man.
1:08:17Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
1:08:17Chad Johnson:Like, I think that's what a lot of people fail to realize, man. He came into the league at 17, 18 years old. by the time he was 20, 21, Ochoa, he was winning championships. Championships.
1:08:29Shannon Sharpe:Like, oh, no, we got to concede now. Those first, okay, if you want to say at the end, okay, he was, but those first championships, there was no doubt, Shaq.
1:08:39Chad Johnson:Yeah, no question. No question.
1:08:41Shannon Sharpe:The way he went, what he did to Mutombo? Oof. And the Nets? I think they played the Nets.
1:08:50Chad Johnson:Yeah, they played them a couple times, I think. Huh? They played them a couple times in the finals that year because J-Kid and Kenya Martin and all them and Richard Jefferson. Well, they played the year AI won the MVP.
1:09:03Shannon Sharpe:Shaq beat them. Oh, yeah, that was 0-1. And then 0-2, 2000. Who did they beat in 2000? Was that the Pacers? Yeah, it was the Pacers.
1:09:16Chad Johnson:Reggie Miller.
1:09:17Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, and then they beat the Nets. the next year, because I think the next, then San Antonio, then San Antonio beat the next year.
1:09:27Chad Johnson:But it was, it wasn't, when you got to the finals, when they was playing back then, Ankin Ocho, you knew they was gonna win. It was the conference finals when they was playing against them.
1:09:37Shannon Sharpe:Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, to beat San Antonio or Sacramento. Whoever won was gonna win the championship. Yeah, yeah, yeah, no question.
1:09:49Shannon Sharpe:Alpha Bodies, Keon out there doing the stanky leg and the cabbage patch and the butt twerking and ankle breaking with no team. Tighten up, fam. Look, he just has to mature. He just has to grow up. And some people mature faster than others. Some people come in and they already got a lunch pail and a hard hat and they understand the task and the assignment. And some guys, you know, they have to get wake-up calls. Sometimes they have to get released. Sometimes they have to get a public scolding. Whatever the case may be, as long as he receives the message that the Buffalo Bills are clearly trying to send Ocho and Joe, he'll be just fine.
1:10:24Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah. You got to hope he receive it that way, though, Ocho. I do. Everybody, you know, everybody don't, you know, take criticism that well. You know what I mean? Like, it may not hit him like that. We're saying that it'll put us into another drive. Like, it'll force me to want to be better next year. It'll force me to want to. Yes. I'd be in the gym right now working out if I heard that. You know what I mean? Yeah. Bernie McGovran.
1:10:53Shannon Sharpe:Ocho with the Hiberian jersey. Ask, can you please send me an address and I'll send Ocho a Dundee FC jersey. My team, large or extra large, much love from Scotland. P.S., Unc, and Ocho, you need to try haggis. Haggis. What is that?
1:11:22Shannon Sharpe:Oh, yeah. Yeah, I saw that. I saw that. Andrews, we're going to try it. That's what we're going to try. What's that? Haggis. It's sheep, heart. What else? It's sheep, heart, liver, and lungs. What? Yep.
1:11:40Chad Johnson:Ocho. What's up? Yeah, you ain't paying attention over there. You hear what that man trying to have you eating? Man, I'm eating whatever, Joe. You do, Joe. Joe, hey, Joe, you hear me, Joe? Hey, I'm eating whatever, boy. Hey, you put it in front of me, boy. Joe, you want it too? I guarantee you. You ain't going to be the smallest stuff. What? What are you talking about? Heart, liver, what?
1:12:06Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
1:12:07Chad Johnson:What, Joe, you don't eat no liver? He ain't talking about it.
1:12:10Shannon Sharpe:It's Scotland's national dish. Joe and Ocho, we got to try some eyeballs too. So that thing pop. Come on, come on, come on. Hey, hey. Adoles? Come on. You see five balls, Joe. I like them. Hold on, you can't, you can't, hey, Ankh, you can't chew them, though. No, it's gonna pop. You gotta just swallow them. Once it popped, cause you know it got liquid, it got... Yeah, that's why you don't chew it. You just swallow it. No, you gotta chew it. Man, what's wrong with y 'all, man? Nah, you gonna throw up. Don't worry about it. Hey, Joe, you ain't, hey, Joe, you ain't never had, you ain't never had chocolate frog legs?
1:12:40Chad Johnson:Nah, I done had some frog legs before, nah. I said chocolate, with the chocolate. I ain't had no chocolate, Frog.
1:12:45Shannon Sharpe:No, I don't want no chocolate. What about chocolate-covered ants? No, I ain't had no chocolate-covered ants. It better be a Snicker bar or a Reese's Cup or a Hershey Kiss. That's the only type. I don't want no. I don't want a protein covered with chocolate. You know what I'm saying? Steak, frog leg, anything like that. No, no, no. I want chocolate to be chocolate. Okay. All right. I mean, they put the chocolate on to kind of take the taste away from. And now I want to taste. Now, maybe Carmo, you know what I mean? You know what I'm saying? You Carmo. You Carmo, Carmo. You know. Just saying, Ocho.
1:13:23Shannon Sharpe:Just saying. Almighty James, I'm guessing Ocho came in last night. Where you going, Ocho?
1:13:32Chad Johnson:I think he said he guessing Ocho came in last. Uh, yes. Are we talking about the other one?
1:13:39Shannon Sharpe:You know what?
1:13:40Chad Johnson:No comment. I ain't. I ain't. I ain't. I don't put nobody business out there like that. But. Oh, that's how y 'all. Nah, that's what you mean.
1:13:49Shannon Sharpe:Y 'all, I didn't say nothing. I said no. I said no. Okay. All right.
1:13:55Chad Johnson:That's Joe over there doing all that gloomy. I ain't saying no. I said I don't put no people. I don't put people business out there like that. All right. Okay. I see what type of time we have.
1:14:06Shannon Sharpe:Hyper King said, what are you guys, what are your thoughts on the Pistons for the Eastern Conference. Detroit basketball, love the show. Detroit, hey, they're going to be to deal with. Hello. They probably should have took the Knicks out last year because they had a lead in all the games and ended up losing it late. But the way Cade Cunningham playing, those guys playing now, man, hey, they're going to be a tough out. Yeah, I had them beating the Knicks last year,
1:14:32Chad Johnson:but with the leap of that Jalen Duran cat.
1:14:36Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
1:14:37Chad Johnson:I think they're going to definitely have two all-stars in Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duran, I like the Pistons, Arcaocho. Like I say, when you get to March and April, you want to be clicking, you want to have that chemistry going, and right now, they've been carrying it throughout the whole season. Man, they just got to stay healthy.
1:14:58Shannon Sharpe:They got to stay healthy. I agree. Shaquan Bowser, remember when Brandon Bean said about having a Rams-like collapse in 2023? they haven't improved since then and the Rams have rebuilt their defense they have they have they have rebuilt their defense UW 1906 Shannon can we finally talk about these Australian punters who literally run into a punt rush and get the damn punt block it cost you the natty damn well yeah i i still don't understand that veering off to the right as they punt the ball or they'll go to the left because what they're trying to do is they're trying to punt the ball away from the return and i'll put it right down the field right down the middle of the field learn you can learn that i mean a great punter can directionally punt without veering off to the right or to the left well that's a part of learning how to punt you running right into the damn danger.
1:16:02Shannon Sharpe:Well, you see that in college. But damn, all college kickers do punt and doers now. Right.
1:16:12Well,
1:16:13Shannon Sharpe:the guy could have blocked that guy. He could have blocked McHale. That's his job. He didn't even try. The end didn't block him nor be up back. He ran right by him, Mocho. Being lazy, man. Because like he said, the first time, he's like, damn, I got closer than I thought and I wasn't even trying. Let me see what happened if I try. That one thing you don't want to hear, that double thud. And you look back and can't find the damn ball. That concludes this episode of Nightcap.
