3:33Shannon Sharpe:CarMax. Pat Bev says James Harden is a better player than Dwayne Wade, and it's not really close. You're talking about a player that can score it, a player that can get to the free throw line, a player that can pass out of the pick and roll. A lot of people are going under D. Wade on pick and roll, and I ain't going to front. You feel me? A lot of people are letting D. Ray have that. Joe, you played against both of them. You know what D. Wade is. He's a first-ballon Hall of Famer. He won gold medals. He was a finals MVP. He was an all-NBA selection, a multiple-time all-star. Pat Bell, he played with James Harden, and he's played against D Wade.

4:11Shannon Sharpe:He says James Harden is not only a better player, but a much better player.

4:15Joe Johnson:Hey, Joe, before you go, Joe, when you have a conversation like this, right, and we hear somebody like this, Beverly say something like this, who is a defender, right? I'm sure Pat has been able to have the chance to play against both of them. When you measure it by metrics and comparison, don't you take out the accolades and the resume in general and just talk about skill, not what they've won as a team accomplishment? I'm just curious.

4:45Chad Johnson:It just depends.

4:49Shannon Sharpe:It's hard, Ocho, because what we're doing is that when we say one is other than better, we got to nitpick. So we got to take things down. Okay, one guy's been this many times All-Star. This guy's been that many times All-Star. This guy's been this many times an All-NBA selection. This guy's been that many times an All-NBA selection. This guy was a Finals MVP. This guy was a regular season MVP. This guy led the league in scoring this many times. This guy was an all-defensive player. So, because you're nitpicking. Now, here's the interesting thing. They're debating about who's the third best two-guard in NBA history.

5:23Shannon Sharpe:Because one and two is already solidified. It's Jordan and Kobe. So, the one-two spot is already solidified. We're talking about the third best shooting guard in NBA history, Ocho. That's the funny thing. It's not like we're talking about, well, who's the best, who's this, who's that. Those two positions are already locked, and I'm not so sure that somebody's coming along in the very near future that's going to unseat them. I don't think anybody's going to unseat Kobe. Let's just go ahead and be honest. I don't think anybody's going to unseat Jordan and Kobe and the two guards, Joe. You think somebody's coming along, Joe?

5:55Chad Johnson:I don't know. You know, we got so many guys who surprise you. You never know. You never know. It's got to be somebody who's going to come along and break some of these records. I mean, this rest is a record.

6:07Shannon Sharpe:Even if you break the records, because the records don't matter when it comes to Jordan and Kobe because of how they did it. Everybody remember the big shots. Everybody remember the killer instinct. And they got the two most popular shoes. How you beating that, Ochojo?

6:21Chad Johnson:I think there's some kids who got a chance. It ain't going to be easy now. It ain't going to be easy. It's going to be a hard feat. But to kind of go back to what we were talking about, I'm taking D-Wade first. I think James Harden has a better offensive package. But D. Wade all around, I don't know if y 'all know this, but he's probably top five in NBA two guards as far as shot blocking. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He played both hands on the floor. He was locked down the fender when he needed to be, playing alongside LeBron. He led the NBA in scoring one year. I think that's the year when I was playing for the Hawks and we played them in the playoffs.

7:03Chad Johnson:But I think D. Wade, man, he's accomplished so much, bro. Like, I think it's your preference on what you like. I think D. Wade is more of a two-way, two-guard, one of the best who can post up, make plays, obviously a champion. And I guess it's just your preference, bro.

7:20Shannon Sharpe:It is.

7:20Chad Johnson:Yeah.

7:22Shannon Sharpe:Probably D. Wade is definitely more a complete player. Yeah. Because before the knees got bulky, D. Wade would take the challenge defensively. played really big D-Way, played really big in big games. All out, they're down 0-2 to the Mavericks. Yeah. And he goes crazy. And he wins the finals MVP. He's averaging, I think he averages 36 for that series.

7:46Chad Johnson:Yeah. But y 'all know the game is about showman's highlights. Showmanship. People like points. And James Harden. People like scoring, Ocho. Yeah, yeah, they like scoring, bro. and the dribble moves, making people fall, and James got crazy highlights in that aspect. So that's a lot what people gravitate towards, and you still see him out here playing and balling. So you could still be a prisoner of the moment. But, I mean, they top five and two guards all the time, bro.

8:14Shannon Sharpe:And that sidestep, that step back. They give James hard credit for that.

8:19Chad Johnson:The Euro step, that sidestep, that step back, that one-legged shot. I mean, offensively, his package is much better than D-Wade's if that's what people are talking about. But, you know, that's what people gravitate to, more to score.

8:32Shannon Sharpe:Damn, that's crazy. Shea Gilgis-Alexander spoke about never letting his mental affect his play. Shea said, I think I just love competition. I love adversity. I love when things don't go my way. It just gives me an opportunity to grow and get better. It's easy to be super engaged when you're making every shot and you're up 20. But when you're in the thick of things and the things aren't going your way, you really find out about yourself. Those are the moments and the games where I learned the most. So as bad as it may seem, I relish those moments. I appreciate those moments. I use them for good.

9:11Chad Johnson:Man, listen, it's hard to find anything bad to say about a kid.

9:16Shannon Sharpe:Nope.

9:17Chad Johnson:You know, yeah, it's hard to find anything bad. You can't nothing. I mean, he seemed like he living right. He take care of his body. And at the end of the day, every time he touched the floor, Uncle Ocho, he competing at the highest level. I don't care who they playing against. He trying to put on a show. He trying to score 30. He say he was inspired by AI when he came to his shoes. He got one of the probably top three shoes in the NBA. And he comes out. He plays with that aggression. He plays with that poise and patience and being under control. And the confidence every night, man, it just seems like he know.

9:49Chad Johnson:the dude standing in front of him, boy, you're going to have a long night tonight, partner. Yeah.

9:54Shannon Sharpe:I agree with you.

9:55Joe Johnson:That's how he played. You just asked, Joe. Yeah. You just said nobody would be able to unseat Mike and Kobe.

10:03Shannon Sharpe:I don't think so. Michael retired and Michael ain't played in 20 years. But Shea is very early in his career.

10:15Joe Johnson:Does he have any chance, Joe and Unc? not unseat them, but still be in the same conversation as them.

10:23Shannon Sharpe:Oh, yeah, he could be in that. He could be one of them. But see, here's the thing, Joe. A lot of these guys are pointing them to guards masquerading as points.

10:32Chad Johnson:Yeah.

10:32Shannon Sharpe:Shea is a two, but he masquerades as a point.

10:35Chad Johnson:Yeah.

10:36Shannon Sharpe:But he's a two guard. Yeah. These guys are two. The Magic Johnson, the Steve Nash, the Jason Kidds, the John Stockton. Those are true. true point guard, these guys can absolutely bucket getters. Those guys wasn't getting no 50 points. Every point guard you're talking about from Tyrese Maxey to Murray to who we just say, all these guys can go get 50. John Stockton wasn't getting no 50. Jason Kidd wasn't getting no 50. These guys are bucket getters. They just happen to but see, this is why they don't have 8, 9, 10 sits tonight because their scores are really not facilitators. They're looking more to get their shot than to get other people involved.

11:21Shannon Sharpe:Luka is a point. But he's one of the few points that can go get 50 and have 15 assists. There ain't very many guys like that in NBA history that can score the bucket, score the basketball like Luka, and you look up and like, this man had 50 points and 15 assists?

11:41Joe Johnson:Hey, Uncle Joe, don't that mean if we had the traditional important guards in today's game, being as a game has evolved and they're more of a facilitator than a scorer then you probably don't you won't get get

11:50Chad Johnson:paid as much huh you saying the smaller guys won't get paid as much in general if you are traditional point guard like the stocktons and the magic oh yeah no no no money if you can't shoot the three if you can't score that ball and playmate you got to be able to do all that now at the point guard spot yes like the quarterback everything revolves around the point guard bro like you got to be able to get to that chicken at the point guard position. You think you're just going to come down, run the offense, go to the corner, and camp out over there? No, partner. No. We're going to run this pick and roll.

12:23Chad Johnson:We need you to get a bucket. We need you to get us a great shot. Now, whether it's you shooting the floater or pulling up for three or getting in there, spraying out the guys for three or throwing lobs, you got to be able to do all that now to be elite.

12:35Shannon Sharpe:Yes. And these guys are big. Ain't no more six-foot point guards. No, no, no, no, no. The Chris Paul days and the John Stockton days, He's a small point guard. Now, man, look at Shea. Look how big Shea is. Hey, what's buddy name, Joe?

12:49Chad Johnson:You know, from - Dan Acuff? Yeah, that's all he is. He about 6 '2", 6 '3". You seen, hey, hey, you seen his body though? You see how rocked up that boy is? He gonna be more like an AI though.

13:00Joe Johnson:He's an exception.

13:01Chad Johnson:What a little more -

13:02Shannon Sharpe:You see, like AI, they list AI as a point guard. Man, the only thing he did was bring the ball up. AI was looking to get his shot off.

13:08Chad Johnson:Yeah.

13:09Shannon Sharpe:AI was looking to get buckets.

13:10Chad Johnson:But, but, but, but, but Acuff, Acuff was a little different though. Like, he going to get buckets, Ocho, but he has an awareness as far as, like, how to keep guys around him involved. You know what I mean? How to get guys easy buckets. Like I was telling y 'all, you get your big, some easy buckets, bro, you know they going to play a little harder for you. You know what I mean?

13:31Shannon Sharpe:And like Luka tonight, Luka had 40 and 10.

13:35Chad Johnson:Yeah, Luka.

13:35Shannon Sharpe:Luka had 40 points and 10 assists.

13:37Chad Johnson:Luka well-rounded, bro. He gets to it.

13:39Shannon Sharpe:Yes, but he's not a traditional point guard. Nah. Luka is, like I said, Luka really like a, because he's so big and he can see he got such great vision, Luka big. Luka 6 '7", 6 '8". Yeah, yeah. So ever since Magic Johnson ushered in the big point guard, because prior to him the point guard was small other than Oscar. Oscar was like 6 '4", 6 '5". Yeah. But then if you were 6 '9", you were a center or a power forward before Magic Johnson. That's what you were.

14:12Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah.

14:13Shannon Sharpe:Mr. Russell was 6 '9". He was a center. All the 6 '9 guys were either centers or fours. And then here come Magic. He got the ball in his hand.

14:22Chad Johnson:Right.

14:22Shannon Sharpe:Penny Hardaway got the ball in his hand.

14:24Chad Johnson:Right.

14:26Shannon Sharpe:So it's a different era now. The traditional point guard. Now, you get a guy like Trey Young, a guy that's about six foot tall. He can score the basketball. But Trey has led the league in assists.

14:40Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah.

14:41Shannon Sharpe:You got to be dynamic like that. It's just not good enough. Oh, he could just playmate. Nah, I mean, just facilitate. Nah, they can find those guys anywhere. You got to be dynamic. You small and you going to play. You got to be dynamic now.

14:57Chad Johnson:Yeah, you got to have some dog in you, man. Yes. You got to have some dog. Because look, when you look like that, they going to post you up every play. Ocho, they going to put you in pick and roll. Pick and roll. You going to be guarding LeBron in the post and you ain't got to pick. They going to expose you, huh? You better call for help.

15:14Shannon Sharpe:What do they do to Luka? They put Luka in the pick and roll. Okay, you wanna give us buckets on the other end? We gonna come right back at you. What they do to Austin Reeves? What they do to Luka? I mean, Trey. If you gonna be hell on the offensive end, they will say, let's see what you can do on the defensive end. Yeah. Hey, come here. No, no, no, no, no. You go back. Come here.

15:37Chad Johnson:Hey, that's why I tell these kids, bro, you wanna be in the best shape possible, especially if you're the best player, because you're going to have to work the hardest. They're going to be double and triple teaming you, and you're going to be out there looking like, man, I can't score. That's why you're going to have to work a lot harder than everybody else, bro. 20:35Shannon Sharpe:Giannis has refused the Bucs' request to shut him down for the season. The Bucs did not provide a timeline for Giannis' return, but he'll miss at least a week because of a hyperextension and a bone bruise to his knee. Milwaukee, 28-40, is 11th place in the Eastern Conference, trailing the Hornets by 6 1⁄2 games for 10th place and the final spot in the play-in tournament. Giannis has missed 32 games this season, the most of his career, and he's seen extended absences because of strains to his right calf. The Bucs are 11-21 without Giannis in the lineup this season and 17-19 when he plays.

21:15Chad Johnson:Man, I think they gearing up to get ready to get rid of Giannis. Of course. Because the injuries are starting to pile up. Okay, Ojo.

21:22Shannon Sharpe:Yes.

21:23Chad Johnson:You noticed that too? Yeah, yeah, yeah. He dealt with something last year and this year missing 32 games. It's like, yeah.

21:30Shannon Sharpe:That's why they want to shut him down. We ain't going nowhere. We tried to keep the value high. Yeah. Yeah. Ocho, that's a car, Ocho. I know I want to get rid of it. I'm going to park it. Yeah. I'm going to have it cleaned up, and I'm going to sit in the garage. Y 'all come look at it if you want it. Yeah. Because the more I drive it, the more chances somebody run into me. There you go. Or I'm not paying attention, and I run into somebody. There you go. Now I decrease the value of it. There you go.

21:55Joe Johnson:Does he view it like that? Maybe he doesn't view it like that. No, that ain't how he view it. Of course he don't. Of course he don't. I'm going to joke. Maybe he want to play to make sure that value stays high.

22:04Chad Johnson:Nah, well, I mean. if you continue to get hurt, Ocho, I mean, you're going to diminish your value versus... You see the value? You see Max Crosby?

22:14Shannon Sharpe:You see the value, Ocho? You see what happened? Hey, hold on. Is it the same?

22:20Joe Johnson:It's not the same when it comes to basketball, though, huh? We talk about Giannis now.

22:25Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, but I'm saying the injuries are starting to come with greater regularity, and they're starting to keep him out longer periods of time. Yeah. And here's the thing. his whole thing is athleticism. He doesn't shoot the three well. He don't shoot the middle well. Basically, everything is all about speed and athleticism. Now, if I take some of that away, what are we really getting on, Joe?

22:51Chad Johnson:Because the game slows down for you now. Now you got to go into a whole other package. You got to have that 15-footer, that three ball. You know what I mean?

22:59Shannon Sharpe:If LeBron didn't develop his shot, Joe, he couldn't play this long. Because if you look at LeBron, you look at the game when LeBron come, everybody was playing with two bigs. Yeah. Everybody had a five, a four, a three, a two, a one.

23:10Chad Johnson:Yeah.

23:11Shannon Sharpe:And he's watched the evolution. He said, in order for me to stare around, I'm going to have to get proficient at shooting the three ball.

23:16Chad Johnson:Yeah.

23:17Shannon Sharpe:And guess what happened? Now he's top five and three made. Yeah.

23:20Chad Johnson:He's improved.

23:21Shannon Sharpe:He had to develop. He'd go to Kareem. I mean, Hakeem. Now he developed a turnaround. Yeah. He's not as athletic as he once was. Can he get to the rims? Yes. Yes, but he can't get there with the regularity because it takes too much out of him. He is 41.

23:36Chad Johnson:Yeah.

23:37Shannon Sharpe:But he can shoot the three ball. Now, his three has let him down a little bit this year. I think he's about 30, 31, 32 percent. Where last year, I think he was like 36, 37. There have been a couple of times he shot 40 percent.

23:48Chad Johnson:Yeah.

23:49Shannon Sharpe:But you have to, as you start to get older, you've got to evolve. And if you just rely on athleticism, when that athleticism goes, it won't be long.

23:59Chad Johnson:you better have some mean muscle memory in their shoulders I'm telling you when that athleticism gone even you think about it I think somebody who transitioned pretty good was Blake Griffin because he was just a dunker but then he turned into a three point shooter a mid range shooter when he got to Detroit and he was playing and his knee was giving him problems so he's a prime example of that bro you gotta expand your game as the years go if you want to continue to play

24:29Shannon Sharpe:another guy Aaron Gordon Aaron Gordon when he's in Orlando Duncan putbacks now he's got that three ball now he's got the middie see this is why Kevin Durant can play a long time because he can shoot it his game isn't relying on athleticism even if he slows a step or two he still can get that jump off he's still got to try to block it and he's shooting at a 9 foot apex Good luck with that.

25:01Chad Johnson:Yeah, you got to bring the double.

25:04Shannon Sharpe:Miami traded Jalen Waddle to the Broncos for a 2026 fourth-round pick to the Broncos for their first-round pick this year, as well as a third and fourth-round pick going to Miami. Ocho, clearly, clearly the Dolphins are in rebuild mode, stockpiling picks. But don't you got to have something for your quarterback? I don't know what they're doing. I don't know what they're doing. Did they get draft picks, though, Uncle Ocho? They got a first-rounder, and they got a – but the fourth-rounders canceled out, but they basically got a first and a third.

25:38Joe Johnson:They got a first and a third, Joe. But we talk about somebody coming in and making a immediate impact, especially at the receiver position. You look at what Malik Willis had when he was at Green Bay. He had some dogs around him. He had some really, really good receivers. They might have been young, but he had some really good receivers around him. Now, when we come to Miami, this is no disrespect to them. you got brother Tutu Atwell. You know, we have some guys. We have some good guys, but you still need that dog, Joe. You still need that dog, Joe, as a quarterback. When you come out there and come hella hot water, you know this individual here I can count on.

26:10Joe Johnson:I can count for him to get open every single time. I don't think they have that right now, Joe. They have some good players, but we need a difference maker, Joe. You need one. Now, you got a quarterback. You saw the situation he came from. You saw what he had around him. You know why he had success in the short amount of time that he did play when Jordan Love went out. I hope the Dolphins, they do the young Bulls some justice, or we're going to be right back in the same goddamn situation again, struggling.

26:38Chad Johnson:Well, Ocho, you don't think they can go in the draft and get a dog? Hey, Unk, who do we have? I'm asking. I'm saying think about this. If they rebuild and they reload, Ocho, So we getting rid of Waddle, so we getting rid of, you know, some vegetable. So yeah, maybe we want to start young and grow with some of these young talent. I like, you know what the thing is?

27:04Shannon Sharpe:I kind of like a proven commodity. Now, everybody, look, everybody ain't going to be Jamar Chase coming out. Right. Or Justin Jefferson have those kind of rookie seasons. Yeah. Or Randy Moss have the outstanding rookie season. But my question is, hell, the happiest people in the room are the Eagles. Because they said if Jalen Waddle went for a first and a third.

27:31Shannon Sharpe:Y 'all got me cursing on your own joke. If Jalen Waddle go for a first and third, what the hell is A.J. Brown worth? About the same or better? About more. About the same or better. I don't think anybody's going to say Jalen Waddell is a comparable receiver to A.J. Brown. The problem that A.J. Brown, that everybody knows, is that they know Philly want to move him, and they know A.J. Brown want to be moved.

27:58Chad Johnson:Yeah.

27:59Shannon Sharpe:So that's kind of the thing. Like, we know y 'all want to move him. We're just not going to flinch and give y 'all. We're not giving you two first-rounders. That ain't happening.

28:08Joe Johnson:I think a first and a third is good. A first and a third is good. I think he's still going to get moved. I think it will probably be after June. I think right now. Yeah, for the cap reason. I think it's going to happen in June. But they know he doesn't want to be there.

28:24Chad Johnson:Hold on, though. But if it happens in June, I mean, you can't draft now.

28:29Shannon Sharpe:You get the draft compensation next year because you know they're working on the plan, Ocho, to try to extend draft picks after five years. Basketball is seven years. Football is three years. So they're trying to work out a proposal. and propose it like you can trade draft picks up to five years in advance. So –

28:47Joe Johnson:Hey, I don't like it, though. I don't like it. Listen, I know they have a new regime over there in Miami. You want to tear it all the way down. I hope they keep Devon H. I hope – Yeah, they say he's out of the way. Yeah, I hope they don't think about giving him away because right now that would be your best offensive weapon. They still need some type of veteran presence for those young receivers, someone that they can count on for that quarterback. You got to have it.

29:18No.

29:19Shannon Sharpe:The Broncos gave up a first round pick. They gave up their first round pick this year and a second round pick. The fourth check counts.

29:28Joe Johnson:The Broncos could afford to do that. Look at the defense. They could afford to do that. They just

29:35Shannon Sharpe:I'd rather have A.J. Brown. I'd rather have AJ Brown

29:42Joe Johnson:Wait as a point we talk about for the Broncos Other poles to walk me. Okay. I understand. Oh You said you'd rather have a brown a brown is obviously the better player, but a water yes No goddamn slouch snack. We can't bet right right we talk about somebody that can also take some short take something intermediate angle he's a deep breath yeah see i i i don't i don't want to just put waddle in that in that boat or say you know what he's just strictly deep there because he's so no no no he don't i've seen him

30:15Shannon Sharpe:catch some short stuff you don't take it yo for sure he got speed to burn now but but i mean all honesty ocho i don't look at waddle as a one i don't look at courtland sutton as a one no

30:27Joe Johnson:You don't see Set as one, huh?

30:30Shannon Sharpe:Nope, I don't.

30:32Joe Johnson:Okay. Okay.

30:34Shannon Sharpe:I don't. I like it. I think the thing is people are like, well, he's the number one receiver. Okay, yeah. Everybody got to be – somebody got to be the number one. But we know it makes people one. But when I look at a number one, Ocho, I look at a guy that says they're going in the game, they got to stop him.

30:51Joe Johnson:Okay.

30:52Shannon Sharpe:I don't think people go in the game saying that we got to stop Courtland Sutton. we gotta stop Jalen Waddle they go in the game and say we gotta stop Tyreek we gotta stop Jetta, we gotta stop Chase I think they go in the game we gotta stop Puka I think JSN they go in the game saying we gotta stop those guys those are the guys I look at okay that's a one that's a one I look at a Nico Collins that's a one to me Ocho now everybody got their own opinions but I look at a one is that somebody put him to game play and said we gotta stop him And I don't look at that.

31:30Joe Johnson:When I look at Waddle, obviously, and a lot of people probably wouldn't agree with me, but someone that has speed to burn, that can take the top off of defense the way he does, that can shorten intermediate routes and turn those into 70 and 80-yard touchdowns. At times, if he's the only viable option offensively, defense adjustments, when they come out the huddle, are made, we have to worry about this individual right here. When he goes...

31:53Shannon Sharpe:Look at his number when Tyree got hurt. What does number look like when Tyree got hurt?

31:58Joe Johnson:And we also know why that was.

32:02Shannon Sharpe:See, my thing is, Ocho, whether TJ was there or not, whether Scott was there or not, you did what you did. That's what ones do. It don't matter. Okay, the number two can go out, the number three can go out. I'm still him. Yeah, I'm going to get mad. Okay, Joe. So that's how I judge a number one. I get it. Yeah, he caught this, but like I said, I judge the number one differently than most fans judge the number one. But, hey, to each his own. And I'm not saying they're bad players, but I'm saying my criteria for being the number one, you got to be that boy.

32:44Chad Johnson:I like it.

32:45Shannon Sharpe:I like it. You got to be that boy. You got to require special attention. If somebody got a number one corner, they need to see you. Yeah.

32:54Joe Johnson:I know what the offense just got much, much, much better with what they have already. Much better. Who the Broncos? Absolutely.

33:10Shannon Sharpe:But I don't know what the Dolphins are doing. They got so much. They got damn near$200 million and dead money on the count. They don't care.

33:19Joe Johnson:They ain't tripping. They're not tripping. We can demolish everything and start all the way over from scratch.

33:27Chad Johnson:Damn. How you feel about your Broncos, man? I mean, what y 'all missing? What you think y 'all need now?

33:39Joe Johnson:Y 'all got every goddamn whole field.

33:41Shannon Sharpe:Nah, actually, look.

33:46Shannon Sharpe:We solid, but if you look at the teams,

33:53Shannon Sharpe:when I look at the teams that like,

33:57Shannon Sharpe:I look at the Rams, they got a number one receiver, Puka. Yeah. And then you got Devontae. You look at JSN. You look at the teams and they got, I just like, and look, I think Bo is good. I thought Bo had an unbelievable season. It would have been great to see what the Broncos could have done. Had he been healthy? We'll never know. Do I think they would have won if they'd have had Bo? Would it beat the Patriots? Yes, I believe they would.

39:10Chad Johnson:Yeah.

39:14Shannon Sharpe:Nothing special.

39:15Joe Johnson:I don't know. Y 'all loaded.

39:18Shannon Sharpe:Hell, go get Darren Baldwin. Y 'all loaded that receiver.

39:22Joe Johnson:Y 'all loaded.

39:24Shannon Sharpe:We got a bunch of receivers, but ain't no hell raisers, man. I don't need – Ocho, you need a difference maker. The Dave – Okay, the Patriots could win with a hodgepodge of guys. Man, come on now. everybody keep on thinking everybody keep on thinking they gonna be Kansas City well you gonna be Kansas City your quarterback better be Mahomes

39:53Shannon Sharpe:because sometimes you need your guy to make that guy look good

40:01Shannon Sharpe:we're gonna find out because guess what everybody start down in the ravine You know, Joe, you don't get to pick up when you left off. You don't get to pick back up in the AFC Championship, NFC Championship, or the Divisional Rounds, or the playoffs. You got to start all the way at the bottom.

40:18Chad Johnson:What have you done for me lately?

40:20Shannon Sharpe:That's it. Ain't nobody care about last year. Last year ain't got nothing to do with this year.

40:24Chad Johnson:Hello.

40:26Shannon Sharpe:Hey, man, you know you got the homeboy. Man, I used to date a lawyer or doctor. Where she at now? You ain't got no doctor or lawyer. with your lawyer under your arm. So I don't know what you used to have, I'm telling you what you got right now. You know what I'm talking about? Man, hey, hey Sharp, man, hey. She a lawyer. Yeah. Hey man, what that lawyer? Man, Sharp, man, you know she was trippin'. Oh, okay. You didn't see it like she was trippin' when you was strapped out on credentials? Oh yeah, she in med school.

41:01Chad Johnson:Hey Sharp, boy, you ain't bad, Sharp. Right, right, right.

41:03Shannon Sharpe:Hey, hey, hey, they can't wait to brag on their girl, can they? Hey, Cass can't wait. Joe, Joe, you got that whole boy. Hey, Sean, what you think? She nice, eh? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You got your little something. Man, she, you know, he was a little old doctor. Yeah.

41:19Chad Johnson:Okay. Max, Max, Max, let's show how Cass be. I've been dating for a little while. Yeah, she got her own paper. Yeah, she bad, boy. Yeah.

41:29Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, yeah, yeah.

41:30Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah.

41:30Shannon Sharpe:This boy you gotta watch out for, man.

41:36Shannon Sharpe:I was, hold on, who's that? Simba was tellin' the story about how he introduced his girl to the game and game slidin' the girl DM. Oh, man. Who was that? Who was the game?

41:48Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Man, you know Hurricane Game, the rapper. The game, oh, okay. Hey, hey, hey, hey, but y 'all know how the game play now. Y 'all know it's some cats out here who don't mind now. But that happened. Hey, putting that knife in your back and twist it a little bit. Bro, yeah.

42:04Shannon Sharpe:Hold on, Coach O. I introduced old boy to somebody. I said, hey man, this is my man right here, Cole. Yeah. Hey, y 'all, how you? Now, mind you, I don't say no name, but I did put a word in for him, help them get a job with a team in the league. Take your time, man. I entered right there. Hey, there's my people right here. Yeah. Hey, man, she nice, she nice. How two days later she sent me a thing? What? You know him? He don't slam it to you. Talking about it was nice to meet you this weekend. Oh, that dirty business.

42:41Chad Johnson:Oh boy, I done had something worse than that.

42:44Shannon Sharpe:Joe, what happened, Joe? Talk to me. Hey, I had, I - Did I call him? Oh, you called him? I said, bro, I introduced you. Nah, man, I thought that was her. what difference does it make

43:00Joe Johnson:hey he playing nasty he playing nasty Joe what happened with you Joe

43:06Chad Johnson:man this was a long long long time ago hold on take your time

43:10Joe Johnson:take your time now

43:12Chad Johnson:man I was dating this girl and one day after practice she hit me she hit me she going off she was like I can't believe you think I would trying to run with one of your teammates, this, that. I'm like, what you talking about? She was like, one of your teammates called me, said he got my number from you, this, that. I'm like, say he got my number from you. I'm like, man, I ain't got nobody. So somebody done went and my phone during practice and they got the number out and then hit her. And now she think I'm the one put, I told him to, you know what I mean? Yeah. I don't do no dirty bitch. Man.

43:50Joe Johnson:Hold on, time out, Joe. He went in your phone and got the girl number?

43:55Chad Johnson:Yeah, man, got the girl number, called her, then tried to throw his little whoop down. They dirty, Elcho.

44:01Shannon Sharpe:I can't believe you had the, oh, man.

44:04Joe Johnson:Can I be honest with you? Hey, Joe, I normally never been number one. I've always been in the number two spot, most of the time. Most of my life, most of my career, especially during my. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's why I'm so cautious because I understand how the game go because I done been number one so long. I done seen everything and how it worked.

44:28Chad Johnson:You mean you done been number two so long?

44:29Joe Johnson:Yeah, I done been number two so long. So I done seen all the plays and all the stuff that they do and the lies. And I done been like, you know, you sit here with me, you on the phone with him, but I'm about to go to sleep. So I understand that. So I've always been real cautious about being number one because I understand how it was to be number two so long. Absolutely. I know what the play is. You see me? Absolutely. Anytime I see any kind of confusion on him,

44:53Shannon Sharpe:or I see any signs. Oh, that one thing you will do now. My homeboy ain't got no, my homeboy Ocho ain't got no problem being a clown. He see a circus coming, he dress up immediately.

45:04Joe Johnson:Hey, hey Joe, oh, oh, oh, you trying to be funny? Oh, baby, we can make it a comedy show. That's what you want to do, you know?

45:12Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Ocho's in it. But Joe, I can, Joe, I've said that, hey, I walked up to him. I said, hey, my bad, hey, this my boy right here. We worked out together.

45:24Joe Johnson:Yeah. Hey, hey, Unc, and Joe, Joe, you've been in the big leagues. Unc, you've been in the big leagues. We live a different lifestyle. You hear the stories all the time, Joe. You know how the game go. Go ahead, go. Big fish take little fish. It's always been that way.

45:45Shannon Sharpe:And most of the time. But if I go around, Ocho, I go around somebody. I ain't even looking. As a matter of fact, I don't even feel comfortable. I'm going to move. I'm going to move. Ask him. I'm not. Bro, check this out. So we there. Me and the, I know, I know old boy. I know to do, but one of his homeboys. So, you know, I'm, you know, I'm doing what I'm doing. I'm working.

46:10Chad Johnson:Yeah. So I leave, go to another station. She like, babe, I wanna get you upset, but do he know that I'm with you?

46:25Shannon Sharpe:I was like, yeah, why? He say, but because every time you look away and I look up, he winking and smiling.

46:36Chad Johnson:Oh yeah. That bad. That bad.

46:41Shannon Sharpe:So I'm like, for real? I said, okay. I said, maybe it ain't like that. She said, you know what? Maybe you right. So we go sit down. I'm done with my thing. We just sitting on the couch. We just sitting there. She leaning over. It ain't my imagination. You doing it for real. And I told him that I was with you. and I think it's disrespectful. Damn. So I said, well, let me handle it. She said, no, no. She said, if it's a guy, it's my job to handle it. If it's a lady, it's your job to handle it. She said, I said, no, we're worried about it. So I called old boy that he was with because I've been knowing him for years.

47:29I said, my man, I don't know if you know this,

47:35Shannon Sharpe:but let me pull your shirt on something.

47:38Chad Johnson:Yeah.

47:39Shannon Sharpe:He said, what's up, Sean? I said, oh boy, that's with you. He's being disrespectful. I said, I didn't step to him and make no scene because of you. But him doing what he's doing is a reflection of you because you got him in your company.

47:54Chad Johnson:Absolutely.

47:56Shannon Sharpe:I said, out of respect to you? He said, you know what? He said, I'm going to handle it. He said, give me 10 minutes. I'm going to call you back. He hit me back. He said, I handled it. And everything that you said, you right. He said, you know I ain't got nothing but love for you. He said, I've been knowing you since I was in college. And you always been straight with me. So I will be straight with you. I handled that situation. I'm like, dude. I said, y 'all, don't you want that? But it's always been like that with me. I mean, I don't go out that much. I might go out one time. Yeah. Talk to the girl.

48:36Shannon Sharpe:She called me. Oh, you why you tell such a thing? I said, I didn't tell nobody nothing. You think I want my business out there? Well, he said that you said he don't went back because he saw us talking. He don't went back, told the girl that I told everybody locker room. I was having sex with.

48:54Chad Johnson:Oh, man.

48:56Shannon Sharpe:Hey, what is it? See, that's why I move. That's why I move by myself. It's a dirty game, Uncle Joe. Boy, come on. It is. It is, Ocho. He's always been that good. If I see somebody with somebody, there ain't no misunderstanding. She with him. I don't care what the capacity is.

49:18Chad Johnson:Right.

49:18Shannon Sharpe:If I see y 'all out of the club, I see y 'all at a restaurant, I'm assuming y 'all together. Hello. I'm cool with it.

49:24Chad Johnson:Yeah.
