3:13Shannon Sharpe:Uh-oh, now we got another champion. Here he is. He's 17-2, 13 wins by KO. a WBA welterweight champion, won the title in 2025. Previously held the super lightweight champion from 23 to 24 and the WBA interim lightweight champion from 2020, 2021. He defeated Ryan Garcia last year by unanimous decision. Here he is, Roley Romero. Roley, how you doing, bro?
3:40Rolly Romero:I'm good. I'm chilling. Roley, how's everything, man?
3:43Chad Johnson:Where you at right now? I'm in Vegas. You in Vegas? I want to start off early. What do we have lined up? Obviously, we're excited. Last fight against Ryan Garcia. You handled business. You did what you needed to do. Do you have anything lined up for this year for us to see Mr. Action Jackson Roley in the ring this year?
4:03Rolly Romero:Well, I think we have Devin lined up for May at the end of May. So, I mean, you know what I mean? It's been a whole week now, and they're still trying to go back. They don't want to sign the contract, but it's looking like they will. It's looking like they will. what what what are we what way do we fight now 40 47 47 it'd be us unifying belts the wba and the
4:28Shannon Sharpe:wbo so you want two belts you ain't satisfied with one nah you know i'm i'm happy with anything
4:35Chad Johnson:yeah matter of fact hey speaking of the belts roley how do you feel about the sanctioning fees is it okay with you are you worried about where the money is going uh but i'm perfectly final
4:44Rolly Romero:pain let me explain to you with sanctioning fees because everyone got this whole misconception of sanctioning fees like they've been right okay so let's say the wbo the wba the wbc and the ibf they all have people that work for them and all this stuff right so they how are they paying for people to come over here and bring the people so they can bring the bells and sanction fights all like but all this stuff adds up right you remember this it's a business like everything else okay it's a business like everything else everyone has an overhead you can't just do this for free
5:20Shannon Sharpe:right so you don't have a problem with playing the sink in the thief because you understand to run a business it takes money and you're in the and that's the thing too i mean you know and
5:29Rolly Romero:like specific fighters like you know like like they you know they refuse to pay pay it right but you also got to realize this right you got to think about it like this too um whether 12 divisions in boxing for like males right i'm not even gonna count females right now we'll do it but there there's a certain amount of divisions right right right and for each one of those belts there's a sanctioning fee right obviously right so somebody's not if somebody's not paying a sanctioning fee that's the money that that that they're not receiving for their company you gotta think about like that on top of that too we fight for world we fight to be world titles we fight to be world champion you so you you you you you need to you and on top of that too people lack common sense you can negotiate better fight purses when you have a belt not without a belt you don't make you you you don't you don't make money without you you don't make money without a belt unless you're like you know have a fan base from youtube or something like that like you know like Jake Paul or other influencers and stuff like that right but you you need you need a belt to make money having a belt makes you more money right or wrong yeah you're right are there are
6:48Chad Johnson:you got you got to pay to play right yeah you do are there are there any fighters that you think are a draw that the people want to see that don't have a belt
7:01Rolly Romero:that don't have a belt or or that they haven't had a belt yet well they haven't had a belt yet
7:06Chad Johnson:or maybe they lost their belt, but they're still a draw. I mean, there's so many
7:10Rolly Romero:fighters. Like I said, Canelo doesn't have a belt and Canelo's a draw. He's still the biggest draw. You're giving me a lot of... We could say the whole heavyweight division. Everybody's not a draw, though.
7:26Chad Johnson:I'm talking about filling their arena.
7:28Rolly Romero:No, no, no. I'm saying, like, brother, there's so many heavyweights that are a draw. Tyson Fury doesn't have a belt and he's a draw, right? So it's like... Now, fighters that never had a belt?
7:37Shannon Sharpe:Right. Yes, I think if you've had a belt and you no longer have one, you can still be in trouble. I mean, great example, Jake Paul. Yeah.
7:46Rolly Romero:I mean, there's, like I said, I mean, it's still, regardless, it's still very premature, you know, for a lot of fighters, too, you know? Right. Like, for instance, like I said, I could start naming prospects, boom, boom, boom, boom, and like, you know? Right. But there's no fun in all that. Like I said, I mean, there's a lot of fighters that would be a draw.
8:10Shannon Sharpe:We just had Shakur Stevenson on. He said, you know, hey, he looking at anybody. 35, 40, 47. What's up? I mean.
8:26Shannon Sharpe:You've gone on record. You've gone on record rolling and say, man, this fight's boring. he bored no no no no no let me tell you like this right shaker okay is an incredible fighter he's a very talented fighter um it's unfortunate that you know that stylistically um they're not
8:49Rolly Romero:very entertaining fights but it doesn't take the i mean dude dude's a great fighter like you can't you can't say yes you can't say that he's not he's a great fighter
9:00Shannon Sharpe:but stylistically his style is not appealing well no it's not appealing to
9:04Rolly Romero:really anyone in boxing okay yeah like for casuals it's not appealing and the people that pay for boxing are casuals
9:14Chad Johnson:that's what i tried to explain i'm a purist i'm not a casual and i i enjoy it because i'm i'm understanding what i'm actually watching there are they more purists or casual i don't I'm not worried about everybody else. I'm telling you, me, when I watch the sport of boxing...
9:28Rolly Romero:Well, I mean, I don't really consider casuals boxing fans. I consider purist boxing fans. People just watch boxing all the time. But, like, because... Casuals will list whatever the top fighter is and just watch that fight, you know? But those are the ones that pay the money.
9:48Chad Johnson:Yeah, I'm one that watches everybody fight. Yeah, okay. Yeah, regardless of who it is. And now, you can't put the carriage before the horse and talking about Roley fighting Shakur and he just said we got Devin lined up in May. We got to keep the focal point. He can have two fights.
10:07Shannon Sharpe:He could have a fight in May and have another fight in October.
10:12Rolly Romero:I don't think that far ahead, bro. I don't got enough brain processing skills to be thinking about all that stuff. I'm a boxer. We're not that intelligent.
10:26Shannon Sharpe:let me ask you this you started out as uh uh judo what made you switch to just boxing and not you
10:33Rolly Romero:and not stick with judo well i mean the thing is you know the way i started right so it was like my dad tried to make me box as a kid my dad was a boxer and he tried to make me box as a kid my dad was a very very very very talented fighter you know and okay yeah we had um you know i doing judo right i didn't want to box because my dad my dad would you know my dad was really hard on me right really really hard on me so last thing i want to do right so a judo place that opened up right where me and my mom were living at the time right so i you know we went over there and then i started doing judo and i kind of stayed with it because i started at nine and i ended at 17 now what had happened was right so we're watching the olympics or i was watching for judo and boxing came up my dad's like oh like oh excited watching i'm like bro why are you even excited about these guys these guys just touching each other they don't even hit each other they're scared of each other my dad's like uh i don't curse no more but uh so he's like oh you you want to do this you're scared you're scared you're scared right i'm like man i'll whoop them he's like no you're scared so so my dad took me to the gym the very next day and um i um I had I put on the gloves I broke some dude's nose right?
11:51Rolly Romero:literally just wild swinging right? and I go to the gym two days later I do the same thing I break somebody else's nose my dad's like hey punch me as hard as he can right here I'm like no I was like you're gonna hit me and he's like no punch me for real I'm like no you're gonna hit me he's like no for real punch me I punch them both at that moment my dad realized no this dude can crack because like you know i mean my dad make me like hit pads as a kid sometimes all stuff i just barely touch it and all stuff you know so it's like that's how that's how um that's and i was like well i mean i want to do this last tournament judo right so i ended up doing the last tournament judo in december of 2012 after that i ended up uh starting boxing boxing you mentioned earlier i
12:39Shannon Sharpe:was hearing you i think you was talking about it today that floyd mayweather was an early influence on your life early mentor and he probably doesn't know the influence that he had on your life what did what did floyd do for you what did he mean to you well first he's the first person that ever
12:54Rolly Romero:took the chance on me in reality i signed with floyd august 20th of 2016 he would watch me literally stop uh everybody in gym and i was like floyd champs on me and he was like oh what's He gave me his number and I called him and next day I was signed. But yeah, I mean, that right there. I mean, just the Mayweather promotion journey as it is, you know. But and even this, I was out of contract. I still continue to work with Mayweather Promotions for another. My contract ended in 2019 at the end of 2019. And I stayed with Mayweather Promotions for another four years or so. so I mean that's that's how much uh that's how much my promotion has been to me regardless though I mean another thing too I mean I was homeless I you know my I told you my pops was hard on me right my dad kicked me out the house because I broke my hand right and um and I um so you know I go couch surfing one day I stay with a girl one day I go stay over there at a friend's house one day bro i'd be like four in the morning i'd be stuck in the street i'd be sleeping in the street you know it was like that for about a month and a half right and um i had about i had about 2k at the start of it right and i remember my mom gambled her money i didn't give my mom a thousand bucks we should pay around all that stuff right i didn't tell my mom any situation i was in because i wasn't i never really talked about my problems before and um i started dating this girl she said she can buy me a car and all that stuff right you know she buy you a car yeah she said she gonna buy my car you know and um so i i got like 40 bucks left at this point right and like now i'm just like freaking out right and i'm like hey i go to her house i'm like yo i need this car i don't got no money she's like well i don't got money i'm like okay well i need you give me some money because i don't got money she's like no but so with me being me, I curse her out and I leave.
15:02Rolly Romero:And I go on and I go back to my dad's house, right? And my dad in the summer, right, he then keeps the door open. He keeps the door open because hotter inside than outside, you don't put on AC, you know, them Cubans. And I go inside, my dad grabs a baseball bat. He tells me if I go inside, he's going to beat me. And so I curse him out and I leave. and bro I
Read the full transcript
15:29Shannon Sharpe:you know cuz two people I left in the same
15:32Rolly Romero:I cursed a lot of people right I don't curse no more I don't curse no more but um I go I go to Cashman Field right bro and I've never in my whole life have been more angry and I'm like bro I'm mad bro I've never been so mad in my life and then I start to cry and I I hear, tell me what's wrong. I'm like freaking out, I'm looking around. I'm like, who's there? I'm like, I hear him again. Tell me what's wrong. It was God speaking to me. I never, you know, I never was raised in a church or anything. And, you know, I never prayed, none of that stuff, you know. And it was like, I heard God's audible voice.
16:23Rolly Romero:So I told him everything that had happened. I told him about my hand being broken. I told him about my dad, how he was acting. I told him about my mom gambling my money. I told him about that girl. I told him I had no car. I told him how I wanted to be champion. I told him how I hadn't talked to my sister in a year. I told him about my niece. I told her I was going to take her to the aquarium. I promised her that she was two at the time. I told him about everything, how I had no money. I told him about everything that happened in my life. He tells me, everything's going to be all right. Just go home.
16:53Rolly Romero:so this is now 11 45 on july 31st of 2017 i start walking home and the first person i see is my sister who i hadn't spoken to in a year i hadn't seen her in months wow i i walk up on her in the middle of the night she had taken some melatonin she didn't even remember speaking to me i walked up on her i just and she got scared and i was like no it's me i give her a hug i tell her I love her and I miss her. She go inside her boyfriend's house at the time. I keep walking home. I didn't even know she was dating the dude. And that's how long it's been since I talked to her. I go. My dad still has the door open.
17:35Rolly Romero:I walk up the stairs. I felt an angel holding me. Go up the stairs. I stayed up that whole night. It was a baseball bat, you know. And he went up about 2 a.m. I fell asleep probably about 4 a.m. I wake up. my dad already left the house it's probably about noon now i'm like well what do i do the only thing i know i do is train so i pack a gym bag and i take with the last bit of money i had the last 40 but i took an uber to the subway across the street from floyd's gym i bought a subway sandwich i ate the subway sandwich and i walked across street across street to the gym i put on my headphones right i don't talk to nobody that day i just go in there i just shadowbox guys couldn't hit anything.
18:16Rolly Romero:I walk out, Floyd walked right past me just like this. I walk into the dressing room. I didn't even say hi to him. And I changed my clothes. I go outside and Rafael Garcia's old cut man's right there. And I'm like, Rafa, I think my hand's broken. He touches it, all the stuff where he's like, it's not broken. I'm like, well, why won't it heal, bro? It's been about two months now, bro. It won't heal. And he's like, take green menthol alcohol and ice and mix it and just ice it every day like that for three weeks and don't hit with it no matter what i'm like okay i go to stand up he grabs my shirt and pulls me back down and i'm like why he's like you'll see literally 30 seconds later floyd walks right past me into his rolls royce and um i look at the he looks at the side view mirror and he's like champ come here i'm like what's up champ he's like write down your name.
19:11Rolly Romero:He gave me his phone. He's like, write down your name. I write down my name. He's like, I got you. He shakes my hand. 15 minutes later, his assistant calls me. He's like, Rolly, where you at? I'm like, I'm at the gym. She's like, okay, stay there. I'll be there in 15 minutes. She gives me a check for$2 ,000. And I remember I just stood there frozen like, what? Like frozen, just looking at the check like, bro, this money is from God. Because there's no reason why. That's the only money Floyd had ever given me. He spoiled so many other fighters in the past, and they all did him dirty. But that$2 ,000 I looked at, and I'm like, there's no way.
19:56Rolly Romero:The first thing I do, I call my mom. I'm like, Mom, I got some money. I want to take Ariel to the aquarium. So I take her to the aquarium next day. That was August 2nd now. The next day, I go to Toyota dealership. I'm like, man, I'm going to be a world champion. I'm signed to Floyd, yada, yada, yada, all this stuff. They gave me a car off the lot. No interest, no down payment, no nothing. I had about$1 ,500 in a brand new car. I never in my whole entire life needed money again. If for whatever reason I ran out of money, it was like it would fall out of the sky. Like a side hustle would just come out of nowhere or like I'd be gifted something or something.
20:38Rolly Romero:I never needed money again in my life after that. Wow. But there was no reason for me to have that money. And then on top of that, you throw everything else into that. I heard a mysterious voice the day before and I ain't religious. I wasn't religious. Right. Explain that to me. Every one of my problems got solved from one day to another.
21:02Shannon Sharpe:Everything. so um you your reputation is you're a hard puncher yeah and you like you you you i mean looking at your resume um 70 uh 17 and 2 13 wins by kale 76 percent of your fight he don't he basically don't remember a whole lot the shot that you caught him with like when you go into a fight rolling what tell me what's your thought process you're like okay i see some things i can take advantage of. I'm trying to land his power. But hell, every shot you throw is damn power. You're trying to get him up out of you. When your dad say you're a hard puncher, when you hit him in his arm, you say you're a hard puncher, you took that to heart and you're like, okay, I'm trying to get you up out of here.
21:46Rolly Romero:Yeah, I like punching people in the face. I mean, what else, man? I joined boxing to try to hurt people. I didn't join boxing to try to love people. Right.
22:00Chad Johnson:Hey, when it comes to boxing, right, obviously when you start any sport, when you start any craft and you put all the hard work in it, how far are you along with the goals that you set in the boxing world?
22:12Rolly Romero:Wait, wait, say that again?
22:15Chad Johnson:Boxing, when we start, let's say when I started football, I had goals that I set that I wanted to achieve. You're still early in your career. How far along are you in those goals that you set so far?
22:26Rolly Romero:Well, I already messed up my first goal. but well I didn't mess it up but I mean you know things happen you know but um my first goal all I want I want to go to Olympics that's what I wanted that was my dream that was my dream yeah but I already achieved all my other dreams in boxing I mean shoot I'm a three division champion like what else is you know right now I mean unified being on power palace get all four belts all stuff you know that that's all you know that's all gonna come you know right but but but i i have 19 fights and i've been championing three divisions there's only one other fighter in
23:04Chad Johnson:history that did that and that's lomachenko tell me another fighter with three world titles in three divisions well less than 20 fights other than me and loma there isn't wow you've been in
23:17Shannon Sharpe:news a lot this week. You know why you've been in the news.
23:23Rolly Romero:I don't even want to talk about it, but we're going to have to.
23:28Shannon Sharpe:What is it about you that she feels that she can beat you? She's looking at it like she's like, we can fight at 165. I mean, she's 165. She said she can get down to 165. Her last fight, she was at 175. what is it about you Roley that gives her the confidence that she can beat you
23:52Rolly Romero:I mean she's a competitor I mean she has to be confident I mean I never heard of anyone saying I'm going to fight this person and lose
24:04Shannon Sharpe:so I mean women don't normally say you know what I'm going to fight a woman fighter doesn't normally say you know what i'm gonna fight a male champion fighter and i'm gonna beat him in judo and karate and and and mma it doesn't matter tennis player basketball player we don't see women we don't see someone of the opposite sex call out someone in said profession that they're in so yeah i mean serena serena williams did and she lost to the like rank 200 dude yes and he beat his sister too one beat 16162 other 62 if i'm not mistaken but she was like you know what i can't beat listen i'm gonna be honest i can't beat a male i just can't okay well i'll say it like this right
24:54Rolly Romero:if she believes she can beat me then she'll beat me
24:59Shannon Sharpe:would you fight would you fight would you fight women
25:04Shannon Sharpe:they got 20 million they got a 20 million dollar purse
25:10Shannon Sharpe:20 million You ain't gonna be driving no Corolla You ain't gonna be driving no Torona Corolla
25:15Rolly Romero:I mean I don't drive any of those anymore Anyway
25:19Shannon Sharpe:I know 20 million will go a long way I don't know about you But 20 million that seems like a lot of cheddar
25:25Rolly Romero:Oh man I don't hit Women I just don't hit women It's not even about the money 20 million 30 million 100 million bro. I wouldn't sell myself to go and hit a woman.
25:41Shannon Sharpe:I mean, that'd be a sanctioned fight though, Rolly. I mean, Rolly, you in the square? Theoretically, you don't like...
25:49Rolly Romero:She signed up for this, Rolly. I know. Women sign up all the time and do stupid things, right? And all that stuff. I'm telling you. It's not in my moral compass to go hit a woman. but if she really she can beat me
26:09Shannon Sharpe:she will beat me well okay so you so Roli and Devin we're looking at something around May so we're looking at something around 8 weeks now
26:20Rolly Romero:yeah you know I can't fight Devin now either he's a woman
26:30Shannon Sharpe:you know he's watching this right
26:32Rolly Romero:who cares hey you rolling you in camp already no no i've just been chilling i mean i'll go i mean the thing is i mean i'll go hit the bag and stuff like that but like there's there's training and then there's training you understand what i mean there's no yeah absolutely yeah there's there's okay i don't want to be at home bored because what am i gonna go do i can eat so many hot Cheetos and play video games. Right.
27:02Shannon Sharpe:Hold on, Rollie. If you talk about Fat and Devin and May, I mean, shouldn't you be like hunkering down?
27:07Rolly Romero:I mean, shoot. I was eating some Chesmix right now.
27:15Chad Johnson:It don't seem like you're checking Devin very serious. When it comes to a fight camp, what you need? Two or three months? Normally, normally. Two days. Because he a gym rat, though. He always in the gym.
27:30Rolly Romero:Nah. Nah. Two days. Honest. Two days.
27:34Shannon Sharpe:You need two days for David?
27:37Rolly Romero:Two days.
27:40Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, go ahead, man.
27:41Chad Johnson:Hey, he say he need two days. Hey, bring me in camp in two days. I'll be your sparring partner.
27:48Rolly Romero:You got a jab on you?
27:49Chad Johnson:Yeah, I probably got the best jab in the business, like Larry Holmes.
27:53Rolly Romero:Get over here.
27:54Chad Johnson:Okay, I got you. I got you. I got you.
28:00Shannon Sharpe:Well, we hope this fight happens. We hope the Devin Haney fight happens in May. Look forward to you getting to the ring because you were very, very impressive in your last performance. You pitched the shutout. You did an unbelievable job on Ryan Garcia. Nobody, I don't think anybody expected that. You did, but I don't think anybody outside of that expected that, and you did a number on him. So congratulations on that fight, and Ocho and I, Nightcap family, we're looking forward to you getting to the square with Devin, and see what's really fun.
28:27Rolly Romero:No, of course. You know, I mean, like I said, if it does happen to be May 30th, you know, we're just waiting on some paperwork on their end. Okay.
28:36Shannon Sharpe:I like it. I like it. There it is. He's a former, he's a welterweight champ. He's a super lightweight champ, an interim lightweight champ. He defeated Ryan Garcia by unanimous decision last year. Roley Romero potentially has an upcoming fight May 30th against Devin Haney. Make sure you stay tuned. Check it out. Rollins, if the fight happens, come back tonight, Cap, and tell us what we can expect. The fireworks is going to happen because I'm assuming it's going to be at the MGM. Let us know what's cracking.
29:08Chad Johnson:Of course. Of course.
29:13Shannon Sharpe:Appreciate it, man. Thanks for joining us. All right, catch you guys. All right, Rollins. Appreciate you, bro. Rollins Romero.
29:20Chad Johnson:Hey, that was dope.
29:21Shannon Sharpe:This might have been the most jam-packed boxing. Hey, that was an enjoyable story.
29:25Chad Johnson:I mean, that was an enjoyable story. It was a little long-winded, but still, it was exciting. It had some exciting parts that kept me coming back. I'm like, oh, well, damn.

33:48Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, Kyler Murray will visit the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday. John Gambadaro reports a starting spot is a priority, and Minnesota does offer that and a deal that can be done in the next 24 hours. But Murray and his camp are expected to explore several options as a backup in 26 for teams that could need a starting quarterback in 27 over the next 24 hours. One team that has shown interest in Kyla as a backup in 2026 was reportedly the Rams. Now, remember, the Rams took Stetson Bennett a few years ago. And with Matthew Stafford on a year-to-year plan, L.A. could use a starter in 2027, potentially.
34:31Shannon Sharpe:Still, as an immediate starting option, Ocho, do you like the Vikings? Do you think the Vikes present the best opportunity? Now, he says, you know, the priority number one is starting. But if that's not available, he would look to back up somewhere potentially and then 2027 shift the box.
34:51Chad Johnson:Hey, you know good and well, if the Minnesota Vikings sign Kyler Murray, J.J. McCarthy's job is over. J.J. McCarthy's job is over if he goes to the Minnesota Vikings. even with the high pick that they just picked him with two years ago three years ago whatever it might have been his job is over it's over from there Kyler Murray's not new Kyler Murray's not
35:09Shannon Sharpe:losing that job to goddamn JJ McCarthy if he if you know Ocho if what you said is true if he goes to Minnesota and JJ McCarthy's career is over in Minnesota it is more egregious that they let Sam Absolutely.
35:27Chad Johnson:Listen, what he gives to you as a dual threat and a passer and having those weapons, Addison, Justin Jefferson, Hawkinson, obviously I'm not sure what they're going to do with the running back position. If I'm not mistaken, I think Aaron Jones isn't there any longer. I could be... No, I think he's at a reduced rate. I think he came back at a reduced rate. That's good. Listen, Kyler Murray in that offense, obviously being a dual threat, being able to run the ball with hell, He won't have to run the ball with that kind of talent surrounding him. So he should be fine. The Rams, the Rams, I like him.
36:04Chad Johnson:I personally like him better in the offense over there with Justin Jefferson and Addison as opposed to being over there in L.A. with Pukul and Devontae. Even though they're great, but just the way that offense is run, he's better suited to me in Minnesota. I could be wrong.
36:25Shannon Sharpe:I agree. No, I agree. I agree. And it's just hard for me to see him, Ocho, sitting on the bench even for a year. I mean, because he's been a star. Think about Ocho. He did sit the bench his first year in Oklahoma. He backed up Baker Mayfield. Then Baker left. Baker won the Heisman. He comes right in. He wins the Heisman. and Jalen Hurts finished second in the Heisman the following season. But being a starter in the NFL and then going somewhere, I think if you know, okay, he goes to the Rams, he knows he's not starting over Matthew Stafford. But it's hard for me to see a scenario where he goes to Minnesota, like, I'm going to be the starter.
37:06Shannon Sharpe:He can't beat me out. No, he's not.
37:08Chad Johnson:He's not. I mean, we all know that. He's definitely not. J.J. McCarthy's definitely not beating Kyler Murray out if he happens to sign over there. And it's the best situation for him. I mean, there's no reason to talk about any other places. I mean, I'm not sure who his representation is. I mean, common sense. Right. Common sense. I mean, go over there.
37:26Shannon Sharpe:Aaron Jones is back, Ocho, on a one-year restructured deal. His base salary moved from$9 million to$5.5 million.
37:32Chad Johnson:That's dope. That's dope. I'm glad he is back. But it only makes sense. It only makes sense. Not only can you parlay this into multiple years, if you go in and sign in one year and prove yourself, I mean, you're fine.
37:47Shannon Sharpe:you're gonna be fine what about what about the Steelers I've tried because if you see if you think about it Ocho uh Geno Smith goes back to the to the uh New York the Jets yes yes um I thought that might have been a situation um Pittsburgh you like you like Pittsburgh because I'm trying to Ocho I'm trying to think of where where he can go I like Minnesota Minnesota makes the most
38:13Chad Johnson:Now, Kirk Cousins has been released, if I'm not mistaken. I could have swore I saw that. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, man, you got Michael Pittman Jr. You have DK Metcalf. Calvin Austin III is still there, right? Yes. Greenway is the one that left. Okay. Kirk Cousins, maybe, if Aaron Rodgers continues to play games.
38:40Shannon Sharpe:Greenwell. Greenwell, not Greenway. Greenwell. Gainwell Gainwell
38:45Chad Johnson:Gainwell
38:46Shannon Sharpe:Gainwell
38:46Chad Johnson:what do you think what do you think about Kirk Cousins over
38:51Shannon Sharpe:in Pittsburgh
38:55yeah
38:56Shannon Sharpe:Gainwell went to the Bucs yeah
39:00I mean
39:01Shannon Sharpe:I guess they're gonna use it because they got they got two backs you know what I'm saying because Gainwell you know he's a he can do a lot of things he's a swing starby knife They give it to him in the backfield. They throw it to him out of the backfield. But he can also get down the field. So, I mean, I'm surprised Pittsburgh didn't try to resign him because he was one of their best offensive weapons. And when DK got suspended and they couldn't have anything, he was the guy that Aaron Rodgers relied on. And Aaron Rodgers said, I'm trying to get him paid. He said, I like the kid. He's a smart kid.
39:35Shannon Sharpe:He can do it all. He'll block. He'll catch it. He'll run. I'm trying to get him paid. Well, Aaron couldn't – he didn't get paid. Pittsburgh didn't pay him. But some of them saw some value in him, and that's what I tell guys. Hey, the team that you're playing for, they're not the only ones that pay people. 31 other teams will pay you. So if they don't find that you have something that they can use, hey, put it on tape and let somebody else pay you. Ocho, the Colts and Daniel Jones have agreed to a two-year deal worth$88 million that could be up to work.

44:35Shannon Sharpe:$100 million. Jones gets$50 million fully guaranteed at signing, while$60 million is guaranteed for injury. Ocho, you like this two-year deal? Absolutely.
44:48Chad Johnson:When he came in, he came in hot, huh? He came in on fire. He made the Colts organization look completely different offensively that nobody saw coming. I didn't see it coming. I don't think you saw it coming. And I based everything off of high look when he was the goddamn New York Giants. They were flashes of brilliance, but most of the time, he was inconsistent at the quarterback position. He went the goddamn Indy and went crazy. Yeah. With Jonathan Taylor in the back, man, it's worthy of what they just paid him even coming off that injury it's worthy it's only right i like
45:26Shannon Sharpe:it ocho he gets money he gets decent money well i shouldn't say he gets really good money ocho but i ain't got five four five years tied up in him i got two years so we both get what we want he gets like at the time he signs his name on the dotted line ocho they cut him a check for 50 million minus the taxes. Two-year deal. I don't have to worry about$100 million or$120 million fully guaranteed at the time of signing. Because remember, Kirk got$100 million fully guaranteed for two years. So, if things don't go well, I'm off him in the year.
46:04Chad Johnson:Bye-bye. Yeah.
46:07Shannon Sharpe:So, I like it. I think this is a win-win for everybody, Ocho. All right, before we go, It's time for our final segment of the evening. It's time for Q. Hey, I'm feeling good tonight, boy. Hey, crazy.
46:20Chad Johnson:I don't know. Hey, create another topic.
46:27Shannon Sharpe:Before we get to our super chats, we've got some video voicemails from our Discord. So make sure you join the Discord and submit video voicemails for the show. This one comes from Augie. Let's take a listen to what Augie had to say. Ocho, so with Crosby
46:42Rolly Romero:playing the physical, the Ravens backing out of the trade I'm curious to know what does an NFL team physical consist of? Does it vary from team to team or is it just the same thing league wide?
46:56Chad Johnson:I think probably it's probably the same league wide they take you from head to toe but they want to know everything, any and everything flip you upside down you know how you take your car to the car wash and you ask for detail? I call watching the detail the same thing that goddamn physical is like they know everything.
47:14Shannon Sharpe:Yeah They're gonna look you're absolutely right Ocho and especially if you have an injury, they're gonna x-ray it They're gonna ultrasound. I mean they're gonna give you a They're gonna give you a full a full As don't you say at a full detail they don't give people work over they're gonna test that need They're gonna make sure it's structurally because even though like Ocho when I went to the doctor is like, okay Let me let me see we understand. I see that I see the uh the imaging from the mii let me see how your ligaments are mcl good acl intact so it is just cartilage let me see the other knee so they do all that you got a shoulder injury they're going to take the shoulder excuse me chat uh so they're going to make sure bro i'm about to invest a hundred
47:55Chad Johnson:million dollars in something they're looking for something any little thing too i hate that boy
48:00Shannon Sharpe:i mean some people i mean look if you got so much money that you can buy something sight unseen more power to you. But when you start putting that kind of money in something, I want to see it. I want to touch it. When they say kick the tires, I'm literally kicking the tires.
48:14Chad Johnson:What do you call it when they check your knee and they grab the knee and they... Oh my God. Hey, that give me the ick. It give me the ick.
48:25Shannon Sharpe:Oh, I hate that. Because that's really the only way. That's the way they can tell pre-MRI if the ACL is a bad.
48:34Chad Johnson:What does it feel like? What does it feel like if it's not intact?
48:39Shannon Sharpe:It's not. Or they could tell MCL. They take, okay, where do you feel? You know, they're going to, you know, bring it a little bit. Where do you feel that at? Inside, outside. You know, my situation, don't you? I had an MCL. I've really never had a meniscus. I've had a grade two of my MCL, medial collateral ligament. Never had. I'm kind of loose in my ACL. So my days are like, you know, that's fine. We know your ACLs are a little loose than most. But like you said, it does. It's like, oh, damn, bro. Wasn't nothing wrong with my knee until you started poking on it. Now I'm getting hurt. I'm like, don't help.
49:26But I get it.
49:27Shannon Sharpe:The next one comes from Kevin. Let's take a listen to what Kevin had to say. Hey, Mr.
49:32Chad Johnson:Sharp. Right now I'm watching Club Seychee with the Gabriel Iglesias interview.
49:38Shannon Sharpe:I had to pause it because you're talking about Spam and mayonnaise. Mayonnaise definitely does go on a burger, and it does go on a hot dog, and it also goes with Spam. but I'm pretty sure Spam goes good with the salad scrambled eggs and the grilled cheese and pretty much anything um fried rice is another one Kev I don't know that might be a Mexican also have you ever heard of somebody putting mayonnaise on a hot dog
50:15Chad Johnson:not on a hot dog I mean mayonnaise
50:19Shannon Sharpe:on a burger.
50:21Chad Johnson:And listen, I'm not one to ask, especially when it comes to hot dogs, because you know every time I go to a sporting event, I get to and I eat a plane. I don't know why. I've always been like that. Yeah.
50:32Shannon Sharpe:So that he was talking about I did the interview with Gabriel Iglesias. He's funny. He was talking about spam. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Fluffy. Yeah. And also, he was telling me like spam. I said, OK, it's spam. OK, he's like spam. I said, I can do. I say I'm not the biggest mayonnaise person. I have eaten it, and sometimes you get it in some sauces. They make it like the cane sauce has some mayonnaise in it, but just plain mayonnaise, I'm not really a big fan of that. And then he starts to say, yeah, I'll put it on hamburgers. I was like, nah. He said, oh, a hot dog. I said, oh, hell, Glizzy? You put mayonnaise?
51:07Shannon Sharpe:I said, nah, bro. I said, bro, I think that's mainly a Mexican because I don't, like I said, I've never seen anybody put mayonnaise on a hot dog. I'm sure you can. You can put anything. They put chili. They put sauerkraut. They put relish. Obviously, onions, pickles. I've seen people normally mustard and ketchup and mustard. But I understand that people put different type of toppings on it. But I've never seen anybody put mayonnaise on it. So, Chad, forgive me. I'm sorry. I've just never seen it. And the way he was explaining it to me, he put mayonnaise on hamburgers, on hot dogs, on Spam. Okay, I get Spam.
51:45Shannon Sharpe:but nah, hell nah I don't know damn hot dog and I don't even eat hot dog Chad, y 'all put mayonnaise on hot dogs?
51:53Chad Johnson:It's a select few that do that it's a select few people that also put ranch on I've met a few people in life in general they put ranch on every god damn thing I don't know what it is about ranch
52:05Shannon Sharpe:I ain't no ranch, no blue cheese I ain't none of that I'm simple, I just want ketchup I get a burger, meat and bun, ketchup
52:11Chad Johnson:I want to do ketchup My ketchup already comes on my orders when I eat at McDonald's, but even there, fries, I've never in my life had ketchup with fries. I don't like it. The fries seem like they're getting in the way of something.
52:28Shannon Sharpe:Patrick Reldon. Shannon, I saw your interview with Grave Iglesias, and I'm very disappointed in you. I eat my hot dogs with mayonnaise, too. Stop being so picky. Ah, bro. Hell nah. Hell nah. Chad have I missed something?
52:43Chad Johnson:Yeah it's each his own you know hey that's an acquired taste I want a hot dog? Nah don't want my hot dog Hey was Gabriel Iglesias funny? Yeah
52:55Shannon Sharpe:yeah yeah yeah he invited me I think him and Coy they're having a show at SoFi now Gabe sold out Dodger Stadium. Jesus. Now, now he and Joe Cohen is so fine. And I think they sold out so fine.
53:20Chad Johnson:It's so crazy. It's so funny, right? Speaking of comedy, I'm dabbling. I'm like an octopus trying to have my hand in everything. I'm in talks right now and chat with Netflix for my own comedy special. Yeah, but only dad jokes. Yeah. So think about this. This is the reason why Netflix is coming to me with a comedy special where I'm just going to do dad jokes for hours straight. Why is it good? Think about this. Why is it good to wear glasses in math class?
54:01Chad Johnson:Yeah, why should you wear glasses in math class? I don't know why should you. Because it helps with the vision. You get it? The vision. Yes, I get it.
54:15Shannon Sharpe:I wrestle, I win. Ocho, I can help you bowl better. I sent you proof to your Instagrams. Unk needs hips and knee oil. Hashtag 10 man. Unk done bowling. You done? As a matter of fact, anybody want to buy some bowling balls? It's a bowling shoe. I got a size 13 bowling shoes. And I got like four bowling balls. One with a Denver Bronco logo, one with a beer logo, and one with just my name. I do. And the bag is a Bronco bag. I got a Bronco bag and a regular bowling ball bag. I think my bowling day is over. It's Jay Benson. Please get Crosby. Bengals, Ocho. Them Crosby. They need Crosby.
55:00Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah. I'm going to tweet that out tomorrow. I'm going to call Mike Brown. and call Katie and see what we looking like.
55:10Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, Juan Palafax said, Ocho, I have yet to see someone pick up a dollar bill and spit out four quarters. Now, that was me. I told that story about that girl in Atlanta at Magic City. Wait, wait. Pick up a dollar bill with that hoo-ha and spit out and give you change.
55:33Yeah.
55:34Shannon Sharpe:Kegel muscles like that. I'm just saying. As Crown Media, Tampa needs Max. They just missed out on Trey. Tampa being cheap. Tampa done lost a lot of players.
55:45Chad Johnson:Yeah, yes, they have.
55:47Shannon Sharpe:Hey. Kansas City, hey. See if you can make a deal with Max Crosby. Put him and Chris Jones together. Because they lost a lot of guys, too. Some they cut. Some left in pre-agency. See Gabe go. this man was a handshake deal. You can back out because Penn wasn't on paper yet but why would anyone trust them again?
56:11Chad Johnson:I mean, is it even about trust at this point? Because everyone has to go through a physical no matter what. Correct. It's not about trust. It's about you actually... It's not official until you pass that team's physical. Wait, does Crosby have to take a physical before he even leaves the Raiders to get traded?
56:32Shannon Sharpe:I don't think I was going to say so the fact that
56:35Chad Johnson:If they did do that and the Raiders cleared him Now that's some fishy stuff
56:41Shannon Sharpe:Well it don't matter If the Raiders cleared you have to clear the team That's going to end up giving the compensation Not the team that's receiving The compensation because You took a physical When you went to New England
56:53Chad Johnson:I was healthy though you know
56:55Shannon Sharpe:There wasn't nothing wrong with me Yeah but I'm saying I took a physical for the Ravens, Ocho, for the simple fact I was coming off a broken collarbone. So they gave me an MRI. They did all that other stuff to make sure it's healed. You know, Ocho, they pull it on, you know, lift up and, you know, they're putting pressure and they try to hold it in, like raise your arm. So they're doing all that thing. They're pulling on it to make sure it's healthy. And I was healthy, Ocho, because I broke my collarbone like the last week of September, the first week of October. So you're talking about November, December, January.
57:26Shannon Sharpe:So I had been out like, yeah, I had been out like, 12 weeks, 13 weeks. Not longer than that because free agency didn't start until like March. So I was fully healthy, but they gave my arm a good old tug. They gave it a run around to make sure. So no, there ain't no pin. It doesn't matter. Until you pass that team's physical, ain't nothing happening. Michael Hooten, been watching y 'all since day one. Can y 'all please wish my fiancee Hannah a happy birthday? Absolutely, Michael. Hannah, happy birthday. Happy, happy birthday. He didn't tell us the age, but forever how many times around the sun.
58:08Chad Johnson:Happy birthday. Hopefully enjoy each trip. To you.
58:16Shannon Sharpe:Edgar, 55, as a Raider fan, I think they should keep Max Crosby. He's had knee issues for two to three years now. We see what he can do. I think the new moves might convince him. Thoughts, P.S., I'm not getting my hopes up.
58:33Chad Johnson:I don't know. That's tough. That's tough. I mean, obviously, he wanted to be out. You're always going to, as a player, you're always going to tweet. You're always going to say the right things when there's a camera in front of you. But it's not how you feel behind closed doors. I mean, we fans, we should understand and know that by now. As a former player, I know that by now. It's all about Matt Crosby trusting the process. Are they truly building or trying to do what's necessary to turn this into a championship team that can contend? Being able to contend, it takes time. It's not going to happen this year.
59:09Chad Johnson:You have to continue to put pieces in place. Does he have the time to be able to stay around long enough to be able to do that and see them turn into a contender? Look at the division. Are they anywhere closest? Are they anywhere closest to competing against the Denver Broncos? or competing against...
59:26Shannon Sharpe:Your quarterback's got to be good. Your quarterback's got to be good. Because what do the Broncos have? Bo Nix first-rounder. Justin Herbert first-rounder. Pat Mahomes. Pat Mahomes is coming off of the injury, Ocho. But in order to compete in that division, your quarterback's got to be great. The same thing with the NFC North. What do they got? Number one overall draft pick, Caleb Williams. Number one overall draft pick, Jerry Goff. Green Bay, Jordan Love. In order for you to compete, your quarterback's going to have to compete. so it looks like all indications is pointing towards Fernando Mendoza he's going to have to be good now if your quarterback is good it doesn't take you long you see New England they got a quarterback in the second year the quarterback is in the Super Bowl you see the commander Jay Daniels first year gets him to the NFC championship game the next year you see Kayla Williams gets his team to the division around we see Bo Nix have the number one overall seed get to the division around if your quarterback is good it gives you a head start on the process of being good for an extended period of time.
1:00:25Shannon Sharpe:T.S. Car Watch Detail Service. What do you say about people who don't believe Will's 100-point game? I think they realize it now because they see. Now, look, Will average 50. Because here's the thing. Will has a 72, 273-point game and a 78-point game. So we think it's not a stretch. And he shot the ball in the 100-point game. He shot the ball 68 times. And then he had another 32 free throws. 32. So he was 28 of 32 from the free throw line.
1:01:00Chad Johnson:How come there ain't no footage of that? They got footage of everything else.
1:01:07Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, I think attendance was like 2 ,000 people. I mean, a lot of those games. I mean, a lot of those games weren't televised.
1:01:22Shannon Sharpe:all they got all you got is the score sheet yeah but look it's not like it is now I mean where you know everything is televised everything is captured the internet somebody got their phone in there and taking things of it it's not hard for me to believe that he scored Hunder Bam got 83 Bam got 83 we talk about a man And they got, I mean, you got to think about Ocho prior to this third, when we'll retire up until say to like the last six years, we'll had more 60 point games than every other NBA player combined has 60 point games. So he had more 60 point games than every other NBA player in the history of the game had up until say like the last eight, nine years.
1:02:16Shannon Sharpe:so it's not a stretch for him to get to 100 it's just that bam like you talk about a guy i think bam maybe maybe i think he might have uh ash i don't know if you can look it up right quick look at bam's career high prior to last night when you talk about a guy maybe 40 i think you do realize his career high i think 41 if i'm not mistaken so he goes 42 points higher than his career high. Will had a 72, two 73s and a 78. And if I'm not mistaken, he had those in the same season. The same season. So you can see if, so you can see it's not a jump from 78 to 100, but to go from 41 to 83. We've seen Kobe.
1:03:06Shannon Sharpe:Kobe's 81. We have seen him have games where he's got 60 plus in three quarters. so he's like well damn Kobe and so now people are thinking like well why didn't Kobe leave him in and I think that's what I love about Spoke man guy going off like that let that man go let him go let him go let him cook let him cook Lee Mason 12 if Van did that to those sorry wizards imagine what ISO would do to Ocho
1:03:36Chad Johnson:wait what wait
1:03:37Shannon Sharpe:who Yeah, you say, if Bam did that to the Wizards, imagine what Joe goes to do to you. Man, nothing.
1:03:47Chad Johnson:Complaining about his knee hurt when I cross him up. Yeah.
1:03:53Shannon Sharpe:Big Mike once said, Bam, fourth quarter, was like Dak Prescott, empty calories. But shout out to Bam, though. Yeah, bro. Anybody that scored those, it's a meaningless game. It's a meaningless game on a Tuesday night. Kobe played a game. I remember Kobe game because it was after the AFC championship game. I remember watching it. The Broncos had lost to the Steelers. 2006. January. Go look it up. And it's a meaningless game on a January. Y 'all make it seem. I can see if it's anybody that scored that number of points. If it's in a playoff game, I get it. Or if it's to get you into the playoffs or better seating.
1:04:31Shannon Sharpe:Come on, guys. Don't try to minimize demand. It's 83 points. if you're fortunate enough you went around to see none of wilson for the most part but you you old enough to remember for the most a lot of people are old enough to remember kobe in 2006 in january and you saw dame have 70 you saw donovan mitchell have 70 you saw luca have 70 you have joel and bead you're gonna get this because guys are shooting the ball you'll get it oh joe would i be surprised somebody get 90 no i wouldn't i'm not i'm not gonna be surprised if somebody get 101 i'm not i think the thing is is that bam got it and he's the least likeliest guy if some if i get if i say who do you think would be the next person to score 80 points in the game i guarantee you not one ever nba player would have said bam out of my own and so that is what's so so so strange about it but i take my hat i take my hat off i take my hat But I mean, I watched the last little bit of it.
1:05:33Shannon Sharpe:I was like, because when I saw 31, Ocho, I'm like, damn, Bam? Then 43 at the half, I'm like, I wonder if he can get like 70, 60, 70. But now the man got 19. He scored 19 in the third, Ocho. So now he got 62. Let him cook. Let him see what he can get. Yeah, I'm filing two to get the ball back, so give it to Bam. Ain't nobody tell y 'all to be trash. Y 'all tank it. Well, you might get the number one overall pick, but you're going to never bet somebody put 83 on y 'all ass. You're going down in history. You are. Screw face, Gene O 'Fisher. Nah, Shakur kind of got you there. Got me how? Look, and my thing is, it's like, I like what I like.
1:06:24Shannon Sharpe:I never said he wasn't a great fighter. The same thing with Tim Duncan. Was Tim Duncan not a great player? But I don't think anybody's thinking that Tim Duncan was entertaining. They're calling the big fundamentals. It's okay. I don't – listen, Ocho, if somebody said, man, I like Unk, but he couldn't score like Gates. He couldn't catch passes like Gonzo. He wasn't the guy that could block or run people over like Gronk. Or he wasn't – in the postseason, he didn't come up big like Neville. Kelsey. That's okay. I don't know why, Ocho, that we feel everybody has to like everything about us. Two things can be true.
1:07:11Shannon Sharpe:You can be great and not entertaining. But, like he said, he's heard that before. I think it was the thing that I said it. Because that's what it is, Ocho. He's heard it before. Raleigh said, stylistically his fights are not fun. That's what he said. Is he a sweet size? Does he know anything about boxing?
1:07:34Chad Johnson:He does.
1:07:35Shannon Sharpe:So what did he say? Repeat what Brody said.
1:07:38Chad Johnson:He's not a fan of his style. But you're also talking about someone who has a damn near almost 80 % KO rate. So it's different. That's what people like.
1:07:50Shannon Sharpe:What do people like so much? Why do people like? Baseball. Home runs. No. No. Why do people like Mike Tyson so much, JoJo?
1:07:58Chad Johnson:but everybody can't be Mike Tyson
1:08:01Shannon Sharpe:but that's what I'm saying but that's why people that's why everybody came out you got the Jordans you got the Magic Johnson you got the Denzels you got the who of the who now you know with fight night everybody shut it down in the off season when there was a fight football if there was a big fight in June after the NBA season NBA, NFL everybody the hollywood everybody showed up
1:08:34Shannon Sharpe:everybody that's not to take anything away from shakur he's a phenomenal fighter uh for raw 3000 will shakur fight africa hitchens hey richard hitchens that was that
1:08:49Chad Johnson:that'd be a good one that's a good i mean he said the two he said the two he wanted well i mentioned the two i wanted he said i said lamont roach and uh connor bennett a catchweight at 144 would be really good obviously devin haney uh at 147 he will never fight keshawn davis obviously him and keshawn are very close they they train together they spar together i'm trying to think who else is there what about zander you know xander's Diaz. I don't know. I'm not familiar with him. I think Xander might be 147. Xander might be 147. Puerto Rican fighter. He's really, hey, Unk.
1:09:31Shannon Sharpe:He said anybody that he fight at 47, they got to do a weight loan. Anything 44 catch weight or anything 40.
1:09:37Chad Johnson:Hey, Chad, Xander is 147, right? Boy, he nice, Unk. Xander nice.
1:09:44Shannon Sharpe:Dulo Gante, Unk, you might be a bare knuckle fighting fan. Not the sweet science. so what was Sugar Ray did he practice the sweet science what did Shane Mosley practice was he a sweet science guy people you like what you like okay it's like baseball Ocho some people like pitching dudes but what did they do baseball didn't take off until what Ocho they started hitting it over the fence that's why those guys got bigger they got stronger it revived baseball and they had the thing. Chicks dig the long ball. What do they like in football, Locho? What did the NFL do? Made it easy for you to do what?
1:10:29Shannon Sharpe:Score. What did they do in basketball? They took the hand check out. So what did they make it easier for you to do? That's what people like.
1:10:39Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:10:41Shannon Sharpe:It's UFC. Oh, look. Charles Oliveira put on a clinic. Did a number on Max.
1:10:50Chad Johnson:It wasn't pretty, though.
1:10:52Shannon Sharpe:Ask Dana. Ask Dana. No. And that's what I was trying to say. When you spend that kind of money, bro, I want to see some action. J-1980. Excuse me. J-1980. Oh, excuse me. J-1984. Ocho Camera got nervous for him. Ocho said, damn well, he about to get in the ring with that milk gun. Be looking like a peanut. But Shakur said, hey, Ocho, he going to put you down with a body shot.
1:11:21Chad Johnson:That ain't going to happen. I done been in the ring with too many of them grace over the years. I'm not even worried about that, man. He going to have to work now.
1:11:32Shannon Sharpe:It's Maddie to JJ in the red zone. Vikings trail 7-42. Ocho, can you name one detail from Roley's story? I want to see if you were paying attention.
1:11:42Chad Johnson:One detail, yeah. When he walked to that front door and his daddy had that bat. and said he was going to beat him with that back.
1:11:49Shannon Sharpe:He said his dad was hard on him. That was a good story. He didn't want to do judo. He asked the girl for some money
1:11:55Chad Johnson:and she told him no. He cussed out.
1:12:00Shannon Sharpe:He said he cussed out a couple people. Yeah, he did.
1:12:02Chad Johnson:I would listen to that. That story was good. He was a little long-winded. He had some parts where it got interesting and he brought you back in. He reared you back in.
1:12:15Shannon Sharpe:the GOAT 2022 Heat was up 30 in the fourth quarter intentionally filing, missing free throws on purpose, even turning the ball over it was just hard to watch okay, you should have watched Clint, you got a remote Clint, no matter, I ain't watching this trash if a movie, Ocho if you're watching on something TV and it's not interesting, what you do
1:12:38Chad Johnson:I flip the channel
1:12:40Shannon Sharpe:flip the channel every time you still guess what you watched every second of it because you wanted to see how many points he was going to end up with because you know what you wanted to say you saw somebody score 83 points just in case you missed Kobe's 81 or you want to watch it and then you complain about it after complain about it yes oh they should they should have honored Kobe Kobe wouldn't want that now that mamba mentality he was the closest thing to michael jordan kill or be killed now y 'all say save i wish y 'all make up your mind brandon craft how do you grade the browns off season heading into the draft what would you like to see them do i would like to see them get some skilled position player special uh wide receiver big boy wide receiver yes
1:13:38Shannon Sharpe:and trade for Max Crosby Tyron Rui he scored 83 points in an NBA game against other professionals what are we talking about? they make it seem like Kobe scored his 81 against the 86 Celtics
1:13:56Chad Johnson:you know how people move the goalposts they'll say Kobe scored against a bad Toronto team and then then those try to justify it and say the same thing well bam scored against the goddamn sorry ass washington wizards it's still the nba it's still an nba team no matter how bad they are it's the best of the best 83 points is a very difficult feat it's difficult if it was that it
1:14:22Shannon Sharpe:so why didn't nobody else score 83 points against the wizards it ain't like they just got bad against the heat they've been bad all year hey you know people if it was easy hold on there have only been three people to score 80 points or more in the 78 79 year history of the nba if it was that easy why haven't nobody else scored there should be a plethora yeah of 80 points yeah yeah especially
1:14:48Chad Johnson:regardless no matter what
1:14:53Shannon Sharpe:Go Birds 800 Hey Unk What if Mike ends up in Philly With that defensive line He's not don't worry about it
1:15:05Shannon Sharpe:I just don't want that to happen That concludes this episode of Nightcap We want to thank our very special guest Shakur Stevenson for joining us And Roley Romero Thank you guys so much Appreciate you coming on Talking a little bit Shakur Thank you very much. 1:16:56Shannon Sharpe:He could potentially stay with the Raiders, but there's still some teams out there that are in need of a pass rusher and will not have to give up a first round if I don't believe and get the services of Max Crosby.
