3:03Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah, I agree. I agree.
3:06Shannon Sharpe:He's going to be able to play as long as he wants to. He's going to start to come on Ant-Man. Yeah, but I could definitely see. Because you see what you call him. Shea, this was Shea's second match. He got a, what did he get, 294? yeah
3:26Chad Johnson:that boy he's filthy over there
3:28Shannon Sharpe:so what's the what's the max that Jokic can get when he signs this summer cause you know you already got 300 million dollar contracts JB and JT one of the 306 the other the 314
3:45Chad Johnson:yeah I'm saying how old is Jokic probably like yeah 31 32
3:52Shannon Sharpe:but he gonna get that max They still. Oh, yeah. They still.
3:56Iso Joe Johnson:Hey, they not going to play with him by his age? Oh, hell no.
4:00Chad Johnson:Nah. Look, hey, hey, because then they have for it. Ocho, they owe it to him. Yeah. I mean, you got to realize, Ocho, he's still averaging a triple-double. And won a title.
4:10Iso Joe Johnson:Hey, Joe, I mean, maybe in basketball it's different. But, you know, once you hit them 30s, they start playing games with you, man, when it comes time to play. Yeah, see. Oh, no.
4:20Shannon Sharpe:It's like that in basketball. Jokic will get 59 next season, 62 in the option year. But waiting this year, he's going to renegotiate. He's eligible for a four-year 293, which is 70 a year.
4:35Iso Joe Johnson:Damn.
4:37Chad Johnson:Boy got that big farm back home.
4:39Shannon Sharpe:Oh, he care about them horses. They're asking, but he asked him, say, what should you rather win? You'd rather win with the MVP or have your horses win the race? He's like, horses win the race.
4:55Shannon Sharpe:Oh, man. Gotta love it. Yeah, Jokic, he just actually –
5:04Chad Johnson:He ain't – 31. The chat said he ain't – Oh, he just had a birthday today.
5:09Shannon Sharpe:His birthday today. He just heard – His birthday today, he 31 today.
5:15Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah.
5:16Shannon Sharpe:He's averaging 29 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists.
5:23Chad Johnson:You know what that mean, don't you, Ocho?
5:25Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. What's that truck they bring? That Brinks. Hey, that's the Brinks truck. When the guard get out there with that thing on his hip, there you go.
5:35Iso Joe Johnson:Hold on. On his hip, he already got a draw.
5:38Shannon Sharpe:Hey. Yeah. But they got two guys. They got two guys with him. The driver and two guys with him. Uh-huh. Jalen Johnson over the last six games. Ocho Joe, 32 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists. 19, 13, and 9. 31 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists. 22 points, 16 rebounds, 15 assists. 29 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists. 33 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists. That is why Trey Young is in the nation's capital, which is D.C. Man, I got to go see this, man. I got to go.

6:24Iso Joe Johnson:Hey, Joe, I'm coming to Atlanta next week, man. I got to see this.
6:28Chad Johnson:All right. Let me make sure. Let me look at the schedule, see what game we're going to go to. What do you want to see? It ain't going to be nothing but a highlight reel. That's what you're talking about? That's what they call the highlight factor.
6:39Iso Joe Johnson:I'm trying to understand. As great as Trae Young was, as exciting as he was in Atlanta, they let him go. and I keep hearing Jalen Johnson this, Jalen Johnson that. I need to see in person for myself what Young Bull is all about.
6:55Chad Johnson:Hey, Ocho, he nice, Ocho. He got everything. He can post up. He can get to the bucket. He can shoot the three. He can shoot the midi. He got ISO gear that work. You hear me? And then guess what? He getting the paint, he going to bang on you. You better not jump. You hear me? I totally am. I totally am. Like 6 '7", 6 '8".
7:14Shannon Sharpe:Or 6 '9". okay that's normal that's not that getting to the money but yeah oh cho all things everybody's gonna take a good big man over a good little man and if you talk about great great it's hard right it ain't a whole lot of it's a whole lot of great players small people when we say guard right that you take over great yeah it's just not right and that that's you know what that's a great that's
7:41Iso Joe Johnson:I like that scenario you just said. Who's a small person, regardless of how good a Jalen Johnson is or anyone else 6 '5 and up, who's a small guard that you would take over any of the big men?
7:52Shannon Sharpe:You talking about in the history of the game?
7:54Iso Joe Johnson:In today's game. It got to be somebody. Come on.
7:58Shannon Sharpe:No. Not no small. No. You talking about 6 '5 or below? Yeah. I'm not taking anybody over Jokic. I'm not taking Shane. He's 6 '7. I'm not taking him over Jokic. You crazy? God damn. The only two really small guards you can see them small guards. When you really think about it, only two small guards have ever won an NBA title or led a team. That's Isaiah and Steph. The only two small guards we're talking about 6 '3 and under. Magic is a guard but Magic was 6 '9. Shea is 6 '7. When you talk about small guards, it's Isaiah and Steph Curry. Right. Jordan was a big guard. Kobe's a big guard. Yeah. So you're not taking no small guy over no big guy over no big.
8:55Chad Johnson:Well, the average NBA height is 6 '7". Yes. Average? That's the average NBA height. Yeah. That's why, look, Ocho, if you a small dude playing this game and you play for an extended period of time, bro. Right. You got to be special. Oh my God. Oh man.
9:16Shannon Sharpe:You got to be different. Even though, think about it. When Jordan came out, they took two bigs over him. They took Elijah one and Sam Bowie over Jordan.
9:28Iso Joe Johnson:You know what's funny? If they could do it again, I bet it would be reversed. If they knew it was going to turn out to be.
9:34Shannon Sharpe:Maybe in today's game. Right. But you think about it. You think about the bigs. You think about Shaq. You think about Kareem. You think about Will. You think about Russell. You think about Duncan. You think about Robinson. You're not taking... In that time, you're not taking no small guy with those guys. Hell nah. In today's game, the way the game is open up, you would consider it. But all things being equal, I don't know if you're taking... If Kareem was coming out, knowing what Kareem did in college, he lost one game in college, he's a three-time champion, a three-time most outstanding player, and his freshman year.
10:11Shannon Sharpe:Freshman couldn't play back then. His freshman team beat UCLA that had just won the national championship. Championship.
10:21Iso Joe Johnson:You know what? That's crazy. That's so damn near demoralizing too, Unc. I mean, Joe, now that y 'all said that, right? So basically, if you have aspirations of going to the NBA and you're not 6 '7 or better. You better be Ant-Man.
10:36Shannon Sharpe:You better be Steph Curry. You better have some extraordinary talent. Steph Curry can shoot the ball. Ant-Man had elite athleticism, and he's turned himself, and now he can shoot the ball. Ant-Ledded League and three-point shots, three-pointers made last year. So unless you're Donovan Mitchell or Ant-Man that's streaming athleticism or Steph Curry, who's the greatest shooter ever, yeah, it becomes very, very difficult, don't you? I ain't going to even hold you. But that's hard, bro. It is, bro. It is. That's hard. It is.
11:09Iso Joe Johnson:And I'm assuming if you 6 '7 below, you got to play a ball of the rim.
11:14Chad Johnson:No.
11:14Shannon Sharpe:No.
11:15Chad Johnson:You ain't got to play a ball of the rim. Look at Jalen Brunson.
11:17Shannon Sharpe:He don't play a ball of the rim.
11:19Chad Johnson:Hell, look at Jokic. Hell, he's 7 '4". He ain't play a ball of the rim. He does.
11:25Shannon Sharpe:He does. He does. And I think that's why people say it's going to be hard for Jalen Brunson because as a de facto leader of the team for a small guard because there have been so few. You know, man.
11:39Chad Johnson:Hey, you know what? Now that you're speaking on Jalen Brunson, Detroit got their number. They make him work. You got to. When Detroit play the Knicks, they make Jalen Brunson work. I'm talking about from the tip, from in line to in line, bro. I noticed that. You know, they put that Thompson kid on him. They just wear him down.
12:00Shannon Sharpe:You got to, man. You got to. I got to make it as tough as possible. See the thing is, people try that with Steph but Steph runs so damn much, he going to run you off five screens. He going to run you into a fire hydrant, a parked car, and a fire truck. He going to run it.
12:19Chad Johnson:And he don't need but a split second. Like a split.
12:23Shannon Sharpe:A split second.
12:24Chad Johnson:It's cash.
12:26Shannon Sharpe:So, yeah. And that game for like, I'm talking about like leaders of the team. Isaiah was the leader of the Pistons Steph is the leader was the leader of the so yeah it's hard it ain't been a whole lot of small guys that as the leader have won the championship you're right
12:53Iso Joe Johnson:less support through telehealth but it feels overwhelming and rushed check out orderlymeds.com now orderlymeds.com was built to be different. 15:30Shannon Sharpe:Adam Silver informed the league, 30 general managers today, that the NBA plans to make anti-tanking rule changes for next season. Stakeholders have intensified dialogue about combating tanking. According to Shams, multiple sources with knowledge of Thursday's GM meeting as well as late January competition committee meeting told ESPN that the following concepts have been discussed to curb tanking. First round picks can be protected only the top four or top 14 plus. Lottery odds freeze at the trade deadline or a later date. No longer allowing teams to pick a top four in consecutive years or after consecutive bottom three finishes.
16:14Shannon Sharpe:I like that. Teams can't pick top four a year after making conference finals. Lottery odds are allocated based on two-year records. Lottery extended to include all play-in teams. Latin odds for all lottery teams.
16:32Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah. Y 'all thought they weren't going to get a hold of this? Y 'all thought they were going to let this tank just go on? Mm-mm. No, sir. Some way, somehow, they're going to find a way to put their imprint on this to where it can stop affecting the game. Well, they should.
16:47Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. I mean, hell. I mean, think about it. Cleveland was taken way back when. They get Kyrie, then two years later, they get the other guy, then a year later, they get Andrew Wiggins. How you get three number one overall picks in a four-year span, Joe?
17:00Chad Johnson:I don't know. That's why it's got to be repercussions to all that for you to be bad for those consecutive years like that, man. You shouldn't get rewarded. You shouldn't keep rewarded with number one picks after number one picks when you ain't even trying to win.
17:15Shannon Sharpe:At least Foolers. That's what I'm saying. I said at least Foolers make a fake you trying to win. How you got the lead? You got the lead going into the fourth quarter, and then you don't play your starters no more. Come on now. Come on, Joe.
17:31Chad Johnson:Hey, they probably were trying not to make it too obvious, but it was so obvious.
17:36Shannon Sharpe:Philly was doing the same thing. Remember trust the process? Remember trust the process, Joe?
17:40Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We trusted the process, too.
17:43Shannon Sharpe:They got Marcel Fultz, number one overall pick. They got Ben Simmons, number one overall pick. They got Joel Embiid, a top. Joel Embiid would have been the number one overall pick had his back not been messed up.
17:55Chad Johnson:Right, right. Man, they're benchy.
18:01Chad Johnson:Hey, man, it's only going to get you so far. It's only going to get you so far. I'm glad they putting these stipulations in because I'm tired of looking at bad basketball. Oh, here we go.
18:13Shannon Sharpe:before we go to the next topic, the chat requested a video of the best people chat moments from our bowling outing. With further ado, Ocho, Benjo. Benjo, what happened? What? Oh no. Oh no. Look how slow roll that thing.
18:33Chad Johnson:Look how slow roll that thing. Why ain't come down here to play with y 'all there? You know what? We don't nightcap, but this the ISO takeover, baby. This the ISO takeover. This the ISO takeover. Woo! Boy, I love it here. Hey, ain't you like kicking some ass, boy? Ain't nothing like kicking some ass. Well, here y 'all go. Y 'all go here. Y 'all go here. I already know you ain't getting that one. I already know you ain't getting that one. You know what? I noticed that the lane is lopsided to the right. You see how that thing kind of, it look like it going that way. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
19:07Iso Joe Johnson:The lane, it got to be lopsided a little bit.
19:09Chad Johnson:Nah, nah, that's that little spin I put on. Oh, yeah. Little spin I put on. Hey, Ash, when the next time I'm on with these boys again on Nightcap, when we on?
19:20Iso Joe Johnson:Oh, Lord, have mercy. Oh, boy. Hey, he feeling the self, boy.
19:27Shannon Sharpe:Take that morale there. Take it! Take it! Take it!
19:32Chad Johnson:Tell him he'll talk maniac in the middle.
19:36Shannon Sharpe:Take it!
19:43Iso Joe Johnson:He said turn me into a maniac.
19:47Shannon Sharpe:Boy, he's showing out. Boy, you see how he misbehaving, don't you? He's showing out, boy.
19:53Chad Johnson:Hey, listen. Hey, listen. Boy, I ain't laughed that hard in a long time, fellas. But I'm telling you, I ain't laughed that hard. I watched that, boy, I was in tears over there. You're day coming, Joe, to me.
20:06Iso Joe Johnson:Hey, I hope you enjoyed that laugh because it ain't going to be like that no more next time we get out there, boy.
20:11Chad Johnson:Ocho, heavy is the head that wears the crown, fella.
20:15Iso Joe Johnson:I understand. I understand. Hey, listen. Hey, even Rome fell, Joe.
20:19Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, it's okay.
20:20Iso Joe Johnson:Even Rome fell. It's okay.
20:22Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. It's okay. Yeah. Yeah, boy, this joke here, he just missed me. Hey, he requested. We ain't never requested no video or nothing. This man got the video. They just chant requested videos. Hey, shout out to the people.
20:35Chad Johnson:Chat, hey, I so love y 'all. Hey, I appreciate it. I know I got a lot of responsibility. Them boys are going to be in my neck, but don't worry. I promise you. I promise you. Okay.
20:45Iso Joe Johnson:Hold it down. You hear me? Hey, keep that same energy now. Yeah, yeah.
20:50Shannon Sharpe:The second most requested video was the progression of me protecting my muscles and throwing the joint like a softball. Take a look at this, man. What?
21:02Oh!
21:02Iso Joe Johnson:Oh, what? You're going right to the other. Matter of fact, you're going right to the other to the left.
21:12Chad Johnson:Oh, my goodness. There you go. Oh, God damn it. He's trying to move that thing out of it.
21:24Chad Johnson:It's the.
21:28Come on.
21:31Shannon Sharpe:Really, Ocho? Okay. Man, Ocho be cheating, man. Me? Ocho, I didn't touch you. I might have been up there doing what I was doing, but I didn't touch you.
21:43Iso Joe Johnson:Nah, nah, nah.
21:45Chad Johnson:Get a man some grace, man. The game was out of reach. It wasn't like y 'all. You know what I mean? Get a man some grace. He just having a little fun. Yeah, it wasn't nothing y 'all could have done. You know what I mean?
21:55Iso Joe Johnson:You see, Ocho? You see how he beat you? Hey, listen, I'm listening to him. I hear him loud and clear. It's cool.
22:02Chad Johnson:Hey, look, it's like being in class. You know the bell about to get rid of the rings. And look, you're already prepared. Soon the bell rings, you can go on right out the door. It was over with.
22:12Shannon Sharpe:It was over with. For anybody in the chat that haven't seen the full episode, you can catch it. We dropped it on Tuesday. But go catch the full episode. There were some great clips in there, some great moments. As you can tell, the guy that's gloating, with the crown on. Clearly, he won.
22:31Iso Joe Johnson:Hey, you got to understand why he's so happy, Unk. He's talking trash to us. He's used to competing, but he's not used to winning. You're right, Ocho. We used to winning. Listen, listen.
22:44Chad Johnson:Guys, Unk, Ocho, this comes from the people, man. You know what? I'll take the blunt. You know what I mean? A drawback, but this is what the people want. The people won't, they anointing me as the people champ. Man, I'm in front of everybody. I'm in front of the world, night cap, letting y 'all know, man, I will not let y 'all down. Yeah.
23:10Iso Joe Johnson:Boy. That's okay. Hey, you gonna have to back all this up, boy. Stay left, stay left, partner.
23:16Shannon Sharpe:We gonna go fish. Hey, we gonna go fishin' like I know your tall ass can't fish. We gonna do, ooh, we got. Unk, unk, unk, don't let this hype fool you, all right? You ain't been fishing, you ain't been to the mud hole, you ain't been down there, caught no fish.
23:31Chad Johnson:Hey look, I grew up in a neighborhood called Fush Dam. It's called dam at the end because we have a dam, a body of water. Right. I know what that is. I'm saying for the people in the chat who probably didn't know, I grew up in Fush Dam on the east side of Little Rock, Arkansas. Yeah. Man, all we did was fish. Me and my homeboy, BG, the Greenwoods, Vought. Man, look, all we did was fish, man. Yeah, okay. Come up doing this. All right. Okay. Yeah, say less, man. Let me tell y 'all something. It ain't too much that I can't do. I ain't trying. I'm just going to keep it 100 with y 'all.
24:08Iso Joe Johnson:Oh, you talking spicy, boy.

26:18Shannon Sharpe:Joe, here's a topic for you, man. Kansas City head coach Bill Self spoke about Darren Peterson unexpectedly checking himself out of the game after playing 18 minutes. Let's take a listen to what head coach Bill Self had to say.
26:31Chad Johnson:It's just that maybe person. Well, we've had it more than a couple of times. And I didn't anticipate that tonight at all.
26:44Iso Joe Johnson:I thought he was good to go.
26:46Shannon Sharpe:but obviously we only got 18 minutes out of him. That's disappointing because he could have had a really big night. But one thing about it is it's happened often enough that our guys have learned to play without him, even though that's not the way we want to play. But that's certainly something that we're not unaccustomed to right now. Joe. Scouts and executives around the NBA have concerns and questions about Darren Peterson's mentality and availability, according to Sean Farnham. Joe, is this young man going to be the number one overall pick? Because he has the ability, but there are some concerns.
27:33There are some major, major red flags.
27:38Chad Johnson:I agree. And like we always say, if you limp into the pros, you know what it's going to be like once you get into the pros. because Ocho, he's had games to where he's been unbelievable in first halves. That ain't the first time he took himself out. No, it's not. He only played. No, no. So, yeah, I think it's definitely a concern. If I'm an NBA scout, does he have talent, number one talent? Yes, he does. He can play. I give him all that. Like the way he moves on the court, the way he gets to his spots, the way he shoots over the defense, he's a tough shot maker. Yes, he'll be a hell of a pro if he can stay healthy.
28:15Chad Johnson:But, man, that's a gamble that these execs going to have to take. And paying you millions, paying you top dollar for the number one pick, I think it's going to be hard for him to be their number one pick. Because it's so – like I say, this draft is so deep. You got so much great talent that, yeah, his draft stock could drop.
28:35Shannon Sharpe:For sure. For sure. I agree. There's just too many incidences. There's too many incidences where we've seen things like this happen. You hear the reports and you don't want to believe the reports. But, I mean, am I going to believe my lying eyes? I mean, I don't get it. He checked himself out of the game. After he made the three. And after Coach Self says, I got to kind of get – he kind of gotten used to playing without him because he's done this on multiple occasions. This is crazy.
29:14Chad Johnson:Yeah, and when your head coach comes out and says that, you know, it's kind of baffling to him, it's like, like he said, man, he would have had a hell of a game. He only played 18 minutes, had 20 points. Like, the kid is special. Yes! But, man, can you imagine if you can't make it through a 30-game season, how in the hell are you going to make it through an 82-game season? It's not possible. And you know what? You know, the discouraging thing is he got a great body. He looks great. He looks like he's in good shape. He's a great athlete. You can tell by the way he moves. And it's like, how did he just keep shutting himself down like that?
29:51Chad Johnson:What is it? I don't know.
29:54Shannon Sharpe:I don't know. I don't know. Because if you don't have it in you, they can't pay you enough money to develop it. There you go. There you go. Money makes you more of what you already are.
30:11Shannon Sharpe:money exacerbates whatever problems you have if you cannot maintain your weight in college with no money imagine when you can go get call Uber Eats or go to a steakhouse and eat whatever you want if you exhibit this type of behavior I just don't get this young man he has an opportunity to set his family up for years for 50 years 100 years I mean what about people that are around him I don't know if his parents, his grandparents, his handlers, his manager, his agent, are there not anyone around him that can get in touch with him and say, son, do you understand what you're doing, what you're jeopardizing?
30:51Shannon Sharpe:Is there not anyone around him?
30:53Chad Johnson:There's got to be, man. There's got to be somebody in his ear because these guys are getting paid too much money nowadays. This ain't just regular college basketball no more. This is a professional sport. He's already a professional. Yes. So I'm sure he has a team that's around him. Now, I don't know if they're telling him what he need to hear, but this is definitely going to hurt his draft stock, man. I mean, it's just too many talented guys out there coming out of college.
31:18Shannon Sharpe:You got DeBonza. You got Cameron Boozer. You got the Caleb North Carolina, the kid that you talk about, A-Cup. You seen A-Cup last night? Oh, he was smoking.
31:31Chad Johnson:He was smoking. Hey, look, we only had seven guys last night against Alabama, in Alabama, seven guys. And we went in there winning the double overtime, man. Oh, Joe, you went in there and dookie. Damn, I'm going. Huh?
31:43Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
31:44Chad Johnson:Oh, man. Oh, my God.
31:46Shannon Sharpe:This man done went dookie to come right back on here.
31:50Iso Joe Johnson:What am I supposed to do? I had to do number two.
31:53Chad Johnson:You wash your hands, bro?
31:54Iso Joe Johnson:Yeah. Joe, you see me with my tissue. That don't mean nothing.
31:58Shannon Sharpe:You just got some paper towels and balled them up. I wanted to dookie to come back on the show. Chad, I am sorry. Chad, I want to apologize. Joe and I want to apologize for Ocho. This man with Duke and he came back on the show. Lord, have mercy.
32:14Iso Joe Johnson:What I'm supposed to do, huh? Damn.
32:18Chad Johnson:What you had to eat, bro? You ate something before you got on here?
32:21Iso Joe Johnson:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right before I had my soul food. I had my soul food spot. I mean, my soul food spot, little yams, mac and cheese, greens. And I think it's the coffee. I had a coffee after.
32:31Chad Johnson:You said yams, mac and cheese, greens. What kind of protein you have? Huh? What kind of protein you had? Cigar. You ain't had no protein with your yams, mac and cheese, and greens? I mean, I had chicken. Oh, okay. Yeah, where you taking it? I had to get my three legs. Oh, okay. Okay. Yeah. Just checking on you, bro. Make sure you're right.
32:50Iso Joe Johnson:I'm good. I'm good. I mean, Joe, look at me, Joe. I see you, boy. Yeah, hey, Joe. Hey.
32:56Shannon Sharpe:Lord have mercy.
32:57Iso Joe Johnson:As long as you know. Hey, in that pain.
32:59Shannon Sharpe:I was just waiting.
33:01Iso Joe Johnson:You would've waited for it, huh?
33:03Shannon Sharpe:I don't know how this man just go duke and come back and get on the show and just sit down.
33:07Iso Joe Johnson:Well, Unc, it's a part of life. I mean, we all got to do it. I just, like, it was a little turtle head right there. All right, now.
33:16Chad Johnson:All right. And that's a no.
33:19Shannon Sharpe:I'm just saying, Joe. All right. This man go duke and come right back on the show and just sit down and just start talking again.
33:30Iso Joe Johnson:Are you baby wipes, though?
33:33Chad Johnson:Lord have mercy.
33:40Shannon Sharpe:Let's look at it. They look at it. Because right now, Ocho, they got Joe. They got Darren Peterson as the number one on the big board. They got Cameron Brews at two. They got A.J. DeBonza at three. They got Caleb Wilson, four. They got Kingston Fleming, five. Mikael Brown Jr., Keaton Wagler, Nate Amit, Darius Acuff, and Braylon Mullins. those are the top 10.
34:05Chad Johnson:Hey, just the other day, you ain't had Acuff in the top 10. You had him in like 14. Hey, there's Acuff.
34:12Iso Joe Johnson:That's the one from Arkansas, huh?
34:14Chad Johnson:Yeah. Boy.
34:15Shannon Sharpe:You seen him getting money, Ocho? Hey, boy, he nice, boy. Hey, Joe, man, you gonna keep the conversation. We ain't finna talk to Dookie boy. Come on, man. Hey, Chad, that's a new name. Hashtag Dookie boy. Hey, don't do me like that, man. That man come right. I mean, I ain't had no. Hey, Joe. Joe, that man come out there with paper ties and hit right back down like, bro, like we don't know you been gone for like six minutes. Nah, it was two minutes.
34:43Iso Joe Johnson:Nah. I got it up out of there quick. I got it up out of there. All right. Come on, come on, come on, Joe. Come on, Joe. Don't do me like that.
34:53Chad Johnson:I got you. I got you.
34:54Iso Joe Johnson:I'm trying to be professional, Joe. I got you.
34:57Chad Johnson:I got you.
34:57Shannon Sharpe:I got you. Indiana lawmakers in the Statehouse Ways and Means Committee unanimously approved an amendment to the Indiana State Bill 27 by a vote of 24 to nothing that would clear the path for the Bears to build a stadium in Hammond, Indiana. The Bears promised$2 billion for a new stadium but sought$850 million in public funding for surrounding infrastructure while also trying to negotiate down their property taxes. Ocho, Indiana's governor ain't playing. Can you imagine the Bears really leaving Chicago? Damn Chicago leaving the state of Illinois.
35:36Iso Joe Johnson:Yeah. Listen, the funny thing about it is when you think about them going down to Indiana, if I'm not mistaken, if my mask serves me correctly, the drive ain't nothing but 30 goddamn minutes. They not going that far. Obviously, it's not right in Chicago.
35:53Shannon Sharpe:So what if they put the Dolphins in Alabama? In Alabama?
36:00Iso Joe Johnson:that'll make come on but I'm saying the drive based on where they are now to where they would have to go it ain't nothing but a 30 minute drive now I could be wrong but you're leaving the state Ocho oh yeah yeah I understand I understand listen I don't know why they would want to if they need to do any renovations to Soldier Field which I think you've already done man do it hell put a dome
36:24Shannon Sharpe:right there what they want is that they want these they want taxpayer dollars to build them a stadium and then they right and they get all the revenue that said stadium generates how is that how is that fair to the taxpayers y 'all be billionaires the people should not their tax dollars should not go to fund you you see that's why the chief left a new state chief left missouri with the uh kansas right and we see this come on man come on stall it out y 'all uh the hunt family worth 16 17 20 something billion dollars and then you taking a billion two billion dollars from taxpayers to build a stadium to deepen your pockets even more hold on and you understand you know in order to reach that that
37:15Iso Joe Johnson:level of wealth joe and um you got to be shrewd in order to in order to attain that kind of wealth these are the type of games you have to play you got to do this you got to be able to use the people to be able to get what you want because if you use your own money there's no way you'd be a billionaire in the first place
37:34Shannon Sharpe:everything is about debt yeah and then you write it down but I mean and I understand and I understand but it don't benefit the taxpayers they don't get nothing out of this. And guess what? Every year, the damn ticket prices go up. Every year, the concession goes up. So let me get this straight. You want to tax me. I help you. Basically, I fund a two and a half billion dollar stadium. So the ticket price goes up. Concession goes up. Parking goes up. Paraphernalia goes up. What is it for me? Oh, yeah, you get to root for your favorite team. Man, get the F out of here. Now, what they did do is that it forced Chicago because Chicago don't come back.
38:20Shannon Sharpe:So, okay, yeah y 'all see y 'all see y 'all would really leave because at first they had built they had thought about putting something out in Arlington and then it's like you know what let's really put the pressure on them see Missouri Missouri's like nah y 'all do it on y 'all they say okay we gonna go down the road there
38:40Chad Johnson:they ain't gonna let them bears get out of Chicago I don't know what Joe
38:45Shannon Sharpe:I think so
38:46Chad Johnson:I don't see it
38:47Shannon Sharpe:I don't think so either, Joe, but it's the fact that they hold you hostage.
38:54Iso Joe Johnson:Yeah.
38:55Shannon Sharpe:You know what I'm saying? Oh, Charby, hey.
38:57Iso Joe Johnson:Yeah.
38:59Shannon Sharpe:Hey, if somebody got you at gunpoint, give me everything that you get. Hey, hey, give me your watch. Give me your necklace. Get butt naked.
39:11Shannon Sharpe:And that's basically what they got them. They got them at gunpoint. Yeah, they do. It's just crazy, man. it's hard out here man oh my goodness
39:28but oh well
39:29Shannon Sharpe:new Ravens offensive coordinator the clan the clan Doyle emphasized the importance of offseason workout he didn't single out any player but probably didn't need to we would expect players to be here and certainly it is voluntary but if you want to say that you're going to win a championship you want to say that you have championship standards those are the goals those are the expectations certainly that's going to take work that's going to take collaboration and that's going to take the beginning of building of a relationship with their coaches and other players starting the next regime on the right foot Ocho yes sir you're talking to I think he's talking to everybody because I think the
40:13Iso Joe Johnson:conversation with, what's his name that looked like he part of the mall? Yeah, Bashadi and Lamar had already had that conversation about him being there in the offseason and taking part in the offseason program. So we already know he's going to show up. Now, I think he wants to make sure everyone else is on board. Oh, Joe, stop that.
40:32Shannon Sharpe:You know he's not talking to but one person. Everybody else goes, which guy hasn't been there seven of the last offseasons? Last seven of late off seasons, which guy hadn't shown up? Timeout. Timeout. We talk about the D coordinator, right?
40:46Iso Joe Johnson:No, we talk about the offensive coordinator. The offensive coordinator ain't calling out motherfucking Lamar Jackson. I can tell you that. Okay. I guarantee you that. I bet you. No, he didn't call. The new offensive coordinator is not calling out the team franchise leader.
41:01Shannon Sharpe:Ocho.
41:01Iso Joe Johnson:After he already had a conversation with the owner. Ocho. The same one who was up for contract extension. He's not calling him out. Let me finish. Let me finish. Let me finish. You are not going to be the new officer coordinator and come in talking shit already and piss the man off. Now you're starting a relationship off on the wrong goddamn foot. He's not talking to Lamar. He's talking to everybody.
41:26Shannon Sharpe:We're not finna do that. Okay, he's talking to everybody. Which guy has not been participating in the voluntary OTAs the last seven of the eight years?
41:36Iso Joe Johnson:I mean, Lamar has it, and I'm sure other people haven't as well.
41:41Shannon Sharpe:Joe, what do you think about that, Joe?
41:47Shannon Sharpe:So because now you're saying everybody is just as important as Lamar. But go ahead, Joe, go ahead, finish off.
41:54Chad Johnson:Listen, I'm catching up. I'm picking up what y 'all are putting down. You hear me? I mean, I understand what you mean. Hey, Unk, you're saying it's the offensive coordinator.
42:07Shannon Sharpe:the office calling lamar you know they talking about lamar what you do is that you talk you know who he's talking to there's a lot of times no that they would not would talk they would talk they talking to the best player but they're not but they don't know there you go
42:25Iso Joe Johnson:indirectly yeah no i guarantee you okay i guarantee he not i guarantee you because all it's gonna do is piss why they're gonna piss him off oh joe what you mean why it's gonna he hasn't been there in the office you're not for you not finna get no new job and to get out here talking trash like that hit my line if you need me there i don't need you why i gotta say i need you
42:47Shannon Sharpe:there i gotta tell you i need you there hold on no if you ain't been in the past seven eight years thank you i appreciate that thank you that's what i needed you to say right here i guarantee you
42:59Iso Joe Johnson:You see how I did that joke? You see how I did that joke? Hey, and you know what? I guarantee you're not talking to him.
43:05Shannon Sharpe:You see how I did that joke?
43:07Iso Joe Johnson:Put a name on it. Y 'all see how I did that right there? Hold on. Put a name on it. Put a name on it. Put a name on it. Because what's going to happen is, what's going to happen is, is you're going to piss him off. And this new coordinator that's coming in trying to, what? What precedent is he trying to set? He's saying, hold on. What precedent? Let me finish. What precedent are you setting calling out the starting fucking quarterback publicly? What are we doing?
43:33Shannon Sharpe:That's stupid. We would expect players to be here. And certainly it is voluntary. But if you want to say that you're going to win a championship, you say you want to have championship standards, and those are your goals, your expectations. Certainly that's going to take some work and it's going to take collaboration. so is the offensive coordinator collaborating with the defensive is he coordinating with the is he coordinating with the wide receivers the offensive line who is he in calibration with Ocho
44:11Shannon Sharpe:you know I'm supposed to be a lawyer right
44:14Iso Joe Johnson:I could have been I could have been one too and I guarantee he ain't talking to him guarantee that and I guarantee he don't show up nah you want you want to get a new job you want to be goddamn spoaty trying to show off because you got a new job as officer coordinator and you call not your starting quarterback your starting franchise quarterback I guarantee he won't show up just to show you you don't do nothing like that coming in as a new coach you don't do that you don't call it's dumb it's stupid it's dumb and it's stupid why would you piss off your quarterback with a message like that what sense does that make
44:58Shannon Sharpe:what you missing the point let me ask you this there is no point if you want lamar to show up
45:05Iso Joe Johnson:you text lamar i want you if this is what you're trying to do let me finish everything he just said publicly he's gonna say that to lamar if you want lamar to show up what are you proving saying it publicly what are you doing who's it gonna piss off all i
45:23Shannon Sharpe:remember tell me who's it gonna piss off all i remember is a guy saying he wanted to win a championship more than anything but i need to call you and ask you to show up interesting so you go
45:37Iso Joe Johnson:so you go out publicly and you get a new job and you call out the franchise quarterback that's gonna work out real fucking well okay come on i'm trying to figure out hold on i'm trying to figure
45:52Shannon Sharpe:out let's go back let's go back and see what quarterback has won a championship that didn't participate in otas all those years except the last three years of time oh you think Let me finish my point.
46:12Iso Joe Johnson:So you think calling out your franchise quarterback is going to get you to the championship. Yeah, that's real smart. Good job. Good job, officer coordinator. Let's call out the franchise quarterback.
46:23Shannon Sharpe:Let me ask you a question. You think Sam Darnold participated in OTAs last year? Yeah. Do you think Drake May participated in OTAs last year? tell me the quarterback that you don't think participated in OTAs what does that have to do with what we're talking about
46:45Iso Joe Johnson:so you so you know so in other words you just hold on again I'm I'm gonna say it one more time because somebody it seems to be going in one ear and out the other so calling out your franchise quarterback is the way to go about doing things when you want him to show up to OTAs is that what you're saying What I can't say it is, he didn't single out nobody. And you said he's talking to Lamar Jackson, the person that hadn't showed up. So is that the way to go about doing it? Calling out your franchise quarterback publicly. How is that supposed to help anything? Outside of just pissing him off.
47:17Shannon Sharpe:Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I tell you what, he going to be more pissed if he go another year and don't get to the Super Bowl. The criticism is going to grow louder. And louder. And louder. And louder. Okay.
47:37Iso Joe Johnson:I got a question. He shows up the OTAs and they'll go to the Super Bowl. Then what? Ocho, we had this conversation.
47:45Shannon Sharpe:Then what? Working hard. And then what? This is a new system. This is a new system. He's been in that system before. Ocho. Come on, what is it that you don't understand, Ocho? You don't call out your fucking franchise quarterback. You said he wasn't talking to him.
48:07Iso Joe Johnson:You said you weren't talking to him. No matter what. You don't do it. You don't do it. You're going to piss him off. Hold on. Hold on. You know that.
48:17Shannon Sharpe:Did Belichick call out Brady?
48:18Iso Joe Johnson:You're going to piss your brother.
48:19Shannon Sharpe:Did Belichick call out Brady?
48:23Iso Joe Johnson:You talk about... They won six Super Bowls in the other. Five Super Bowls. What are you talking about?
48:29Shannon Sharpe:I'm not going to call that Tom Brady who he won six Super Bowls with, but you mean to tell me Lamar Jackson can't get called out?
48:38Iso Joe Johnson:So you really compare Lamar Jackson to Tom Brady? That's what I'm asking you. Are we doing that? That's what I'm asking you. That's the point. No, listen. Let me finish. The new officer coordinator, who I don't even effing know, calls out the franchise quarterback, and you're comparing that to what Tom Brady and Bill Belichick did? Are you serious?
48:57Shannon Sharpe:I'm not asking you. Are you serious? A guy that won six Super Bowls got called out, but a guy that hadn't been to the Super Bowl, he can't get – he's above reproach.
49:08Iso Joe Johnson:You know what? Don't worry about it. Okay. I say we – what we're not going to do is we're not going to have common sense here.
49:15Shannon Sharpe:Whoa, whoa, whoa. Because calling the rule number one –
49:18Iso Joe Johnson:Listen, listen to me. Calling the rule number one. You never chastise your quarterback. That is the only coach, the only coach that has ever called out – But you said you don't chastise your quarterback. He can let me finish he can do why they had that relationship Let me finish they had the relationship to set the tone for everybody else to let everybody else know It's even playing here Thank you.
49:44Shannon Sharpe:Oh, Joe you see Joe what I do you see how
49:51Iso Joe Johnson:They won four five Super Bowls They haven't what are we talking about? I'm trying to compare the two. Let me ask you a question.
49:59Shannon Sharpe:It's not the same. Let me ask you a question. So do you think Coach Belichick called Tom Brady out before or after he won a Super Bowl? They had already won two. No, they did not. Stop it, Ocho. They had one four. It was 2011. What are you talking about? I was told, I was told that he called him out from the beginning. So Tom Brady has never been above reproach. Go ask the other guys that played on the team. Why are we talking about the Patriots?
50:27Iso Joe Johnson:We're talking about the Baltimore Ravens. And a new officer coordinator calling out his franchise quarterback publicly.
50:34Shannon Sharpe:You said that's how you set the tone. Coach Belichick was setting a tone. But now you don't want this coach to set a tone. What tone are you setting piss off your quarterback? Why are you pissing him off? He just asked if you want to win. You got standards. You got to do things a certain way. You can text me that.
50:53Iso Joe Johnson:If you're talking to him, what sense are you making? What are you trying to prove saying it publicly? If you want Lamar there, you text Lamar and tell him, I would like you here for the offseason because we have a new game plan.
51:04Shannon Sharpe:Joe, your coaches ever called you and said they wanted you to be somewhere, Joe? Or you just did the right thing because you knew it was important? Hold on. I'm talking to Joe. You had Joe talk. It's voluntary. Let Joe talk. Now you're saying. Let Joe talk. You ain't going to let Joe talk?
51:18Iso Joe Johnson:No. It's voluntary. You ain't going to let Joe talk? So now it's the right thing. Now it's the right thing. So it's being. It's voluntary. He doesn't want to be here.
51:24Shannon Sharpe:Guess what else is voluntary? Being great.
51:27Iso Joe Johnson:What?
51:27Shannon Sharpe:That's voluntary, isn't it, Joe? He is great. There ain't no— He is great. What are you saying? Go ahead, Joe. What were you saying, Joe? So now he's not great?
51:33Iso Joe Johnson:Hold on. So Lamar's not great? Is that what you— Are you saying Lamar's not great?
51:37Shannon Sharpe:You're not going to let Joe talk? So Lamar's not great? You're not going to let Joe talk? So Lamar's not great? The two-time MVP's not great? Joe, you're not going to let the man talk, oh, Joe. Go ahead.
51:52Shannon Sharpe:Go ahead, Joe.
51:54Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah. Hey, look, anytime you have something voluntary and you show up, obviously, you know, coaches appreciate that. But not only that, like, if he been doing the same thing over the past seven, eight years, Ojo, I think coach is trying to send a message, bro. Like, in order for us to reach something that we've never had before, obviously, we got to do something we've never done or hadn't been doing. That's all I'm saying.
52:20Shannon Sharpe:That's all I'm saying. that's what I'm saying
52:25Iso Joe Johnson:yeah and you know what I hope for the coach's sake since he's setting the goddamn tone in goddamn in February I hope they end up in what a goddamn Super Bowl next year LA I hope the Ravens in goddamn LA next year since he want to come out since he want to come out and be big and big badass instead of just texting him I would like you to be here for the all season program I would have thought that
52:50Shannon Sharpe:And, you know, because it's reported. Now, I don't know if it's true that Lamar was a part of the hiring process. Now, I don't know with the head coach. Now, I don't know if he's a part of the hiring process with the offensive coordinator. But normally, normally, normally, normally, when you have a new staff, even though it's voluntary, you show up because of the importance of it. It's a new system, both offensively and defensively. and your best player, he sets the tone for everyone else. If your best player is there, everybody else will feel obligated and come and you get a head start on things.
53:38Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, trying to develop that chemistry and continuity early.
53:42Shannon Sharpe:Because it's a new system. I've been through this with Wade Phillips. have been through it with uh uh uh mike came there and then when i also when i went to baltimore with the new system so i went for the otas even though i didn't do a whole lot but i was i thought it was important for my presence to be there yeah yeah oh you never had to switch systems like that
54:04Iso Joe Johnson:i'll see here uh yeah but i mean i was i was always the off-season program yeah
54:14Shannon Sharpe:man you got a little sandwich man god dang all right man you got any coaches coming here talking
54:21Iso Joe Johnson:all that shit man green ass nigga man who you supposed to be nigga you trying to trying to trying to prove something trying to show off like you coming in like you running something man just text me green ass peanut head coach man trying to show off he trying to show off man
54:39Shannon Sharpe:I'm trying to show off man.
54:40Iso Joe Johnson:All that man all that's unnecessary man text me you want you want to see me
54:53Shannon Sharpe:You about to lose your voice for what?
54:57Iso Joe Johnson:Hey, come on. Look at that. That's hold on hold on hold on. No, no, no, you know I like when we get into it like I know You got into like this a long time if the chat the chat
55:06Shannon Sharpe:They don't know. Man, this man be calling me to my uncle. I want to argue tonight. For what? He ain't got to argue. This man text me to my uncle. I want to argue tonight. I'm like, we ain't got no problem to argue about.
55:22Iso Joe Johnson:I'm just saying. As a player, as a player. I mean, it's just unnecessary. You know, you're a new coach. You're coming in. I understand you want to set the tone. You want to establish yourself as an offensive coordinator. But there's no need to say what you said publicly. You know, that conversation is something that's to be had with Lamar Jackson. When you say something like that to the player that hasn't been there, you know, seven of the last eight years. I mean, why are you even calling me out? You know, you already know how players are. And if it's any player, you know, and you hear your coach say that.
55:56Iso Joe Johnson:Well, God damn, you could have just you could have hit my line. You know, it's like, I mean, I just think it's green. No disrespect to Coach, man. Like - Man, you done called a man peanut. You don't talk about you don't got no disrespect. You done called a man no peanut head. I'm not really talking to him. I'm just referencing his act and what he said publicly. That's all. I'm sorry. I apologize, Chad. I'm sorry. What you apologizing for? Unc got me - Unc, you got me worked up, Joe.
56:29Chad Johnson:Joe, I don't never get like this, Joe. I know, man. Got my man blood pressure up high and everything. I'm sweating, man. I'm sorry.
56:38Iso Joe Johnson:I'm sorry. Remember the last time me and Unc was like this joke? We were talking about boots and boots and boots and remember we were talking about boots. Boots and
56:51Chad Johnson:Haney.
56:52Iso Joe Johnson:He would tell me to pick between one and the other. Boy, Joe. Boots and Haney? No, boots and Terrence Crawford. He was telling me you got to pick one or the other. I ain't got to pick either one. Hey boots Cole, I like boots Ocho. Hey, hey Joe, boy, we were going at it boy.
57:11Shannon Sharpe:Look, bad for some things that he get passionate about, he just gloss over. But once I see what I know will get it going. Let me finish my point. Okay, go ahead. I said, well damn, I thought you were done. You got another point to make? My bad, my bad. Okay, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Chad.
57:38Shannon Sharpe:I just think the thing is that if what was reported is true that the relationship with Monk and Lamar had kind of deteriorated I think he's going to look at this as a breath of fresh air give him an opportunity to get there because no matter what you think especially when you dealing with Lamar. He's the table setter. He's the guy that everybody's looking to and when he's there all is right in the world in Baltimore in Raven country, Raven's flock. All is right when your franchise quarterback is there. Like okay, we're going to be alright.
58:22Iso Joe Johnson:We're going to be alright. Hey Joe? What's up? When Lamar Jackson won those two MVPs, he wasn't there in the offseason. Well, the first one he was, he was there.
58:36Chad Johnson:Hey, ain't he up? Is he up? Is he up for?
58:39Iso Joe Johnson:Oh, ain't nobody no being up. He's getting his contract done this offseason. They redoing it.
58:44Shannon Sharpe:Yes, for sure. They're right when he's on. His cap number too high. You got to lower that cap number, and you got to take care of it because he's outperformed the contract that he signed, and normally with quarterbacks, when you outperform the contract,
59:01Shannon Sharpe:he's well on his way to being the best player. Right now I still think that's right.
59:09Shannon Sharpe:But I think when it's... Hey, Joe, you heard that?
59:13Iso Joe Johnson:You heard what I just said? What's that? He's the best player. He outperformed last... You know what? He outperformed his contract. You know he wasn't in the offseason program last year either.
59:22Shannon Sharpe:And guess what he wasn't in the offseason? He wasn't in the Super Bowl either.
59:25Iso Joe Johnson:What? hey neither were the broncos
59:32Shannon Sharpe:hey i'm just saying i know hey i'm just saying you know this and i know this quarterbacks yes matter super bowl matters yeah you know you can say what he did this he did that superbowl matter lamar jackson gets a super bowl oh it's a wrap that monkey that monkey off his
59:54Iso Joe Johnson:back. He can play the rest of his career in cruise control.
59:56Shannon Sharpe:He get to the Super Bowl he might win another two MVPs. Yeah. Because now because there is because he wanted oh man you ever wanted something so bad Joe? You want that oh Joe you know you want this thing so bad. Yeah. And you're so close. And it seems like as the time goes back you know having a conversation with John he's like man he went to the last Super Bowl in 89 and then we didn't go back and like damn because you think about it he went to three in his first six years first seven years he's going to three Super Bowls he didn't win them and then there was a stretch so we don't go in 90 91 92 93 94 95 so that's six years he had never gone that long without reaching the Super Bowl so as time starts you're like damn Danny Marino goes in the second year Ocho he plays 16 years so for the next 14 years he never goes back and then you like damn am I ever going to get this opportunity again he just needs one he gets one I feel if he gets one he'll win two more MVPs because now he really gets to play free he really gets to play loose I think you know look and he's a phenomenal talent but when you get those early I mean look at Brady Brady played with house money yeah my homeboy played with house money you get those early what how you what what you gonna say my homeboy got three in his first nine years first eight years as a starter he's gone to five Brady in his first his first five years he had three Super Bowls two MVPs.
1:01:44Shannon Sharpe:I'm free. Y 'all can't tell me nothing. I just think the thing is that I just want him to get there. I just want him to get to. I want to see Lamar Jackson on the biggest stage. For the most part, we've always seen our greatest quarterbacks be it Elway, Marino, Kelly, Favre, Rodgers, Brady, Montana, Manning. our best on that biggest stage. Now, they didn't always win, Ocho, but we've seen them on that stage. We got to see Lamar on that stage. Just one time. Just wait. Hey, like Luther Bandra say, if only for one night. For one night. If only for one night. I got to see that man on the stage. I got to see him.
1:02:36Shannon Sharpe:I would love to see. Hey, if I don't see him in L.A., Hell, I go see him in Atlanta. Hey, I might have to go see him in Atlanta.
1:02:45Chad Johnson:Yeah. He's special. He's special. I want to see him in that big game too, Uncle Ocho. Yes, sir. I want to see him show up and show out.
1:02:54Shannon Sharpe:I mean, think about it, Ocho. We done seen Purdy in the Super Bowl. I mean, we've seen some quarterbacks not nearly as talented as Lamar. He too talented not to get there at least once. I don't know what's gonna happen, but I wanna see him get there. And then I'll say, hey, whatever happens after that. He was phenomenal, he didn't have his best stuff, blah, blah, blah, whatever the case may be. But I just need to see him one time in the big dance. I see him in the big dance, I say, oh, man, hey, he got there, it didn't go his way, but oh well.
1:03:33Chad Johnson:Damn it, man, I wanna see the damn cowboys.
1:03:35Shannon Sharpe:I don't know what you see.
1:03:38Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, Joe.
1:03:39Iso Joe Johnson:What's up? I'm gonna be honest with you. It's a good chance the Cowboys can be there, boy. You know how? Yeah. If you play Madden. Come on.
1:03:49Chad Johnson:Come on, Ocho. See how you going. See how you going.
1:03:51Iso Joe Johnson:Hey, Joe, I'm gonna tell you. If you play Madden.
1:03:54Chad Johnson:I ain't said nothing about your Bengals. I ain't even got on your, you see how you at?
1:03:58Iso Joe Johnson:Oh, nah, don't get on us. Why you gonna get on us? I'm just saying, if you wanna see the Cowboys in the Super Bowl, I mean, just play Madden. There you go. You see how you do your joke?
1:04:10Chad Johnson:No. You see what I'm saying? Okay, okay. No disrespect? Yeah, all disrespect.
1:04:17Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. I think it's Declan. Declan. Declan?
1:04:29Shannon Sharpe:What is it Chad? What are you talking about? Doyle. Declan. Declan Doyle. Declan Doyle.
1:04:39Shannon Sharpe:So, I guess, hold on. Man. When is the March? Well, it's got to be free agency. So, it's got to be one of the April. The first one minicamp is OTAs in April. Because you know with a new system, you get three. Get three camps. Okay.
1:04:55Iso Joe Johnson:Three minicamps? okay okay okay with a new
1:05:00Shannon Sharpe:what'd you say Ash do we know when it is
1:05:05Iso Joe Johnson:well the offseason program start in April or is it March damn they start early yeah
1:05:22yeah
1:05:23Shannon Sharpe:hey when the draft in May last week in April? When is it, Ash? Last week in April. Where did draft
1:05:35Iso Joe Johnson:at this y 'all? Okay.
1:05:48Shannon Sharpe:Did you have a workout incentive, workout bonuses in your contract, Ocho? yeah
1:05:58Chad Johnson:what was that so what you had to do Ojo make 90 %
1:06:01Iso Joe Johnson:of the workout yeah 13 weeks I mean I would make it all anyway you know honestly if I didn't have that incentive I still would have been there anyway to work out with Carson
1:06:12Shannon Sharpe:you know why I didn't come because they know I like to work out see if they know you like to do something Ojo guess what they don't incentivize it people that they don't know like to work out they put a hundred thousand quarter of a million give 500 ,000 in their contract. They want to give me$50 a day.
1:06:31Iso Joe Johnson:You good, huh?
1:06:32Shannon Sharpe:Oh, oh.
1:06:33Iso Joe Johnson:Yeah, it was a nice - Yeah, I know, I know.
1:06:36Shannon Sharpe:I had teammates that had 150, 250, 500 ,000, but Joe -
1:06:41Iso Joe Johnson:Yeah, mine was 500 ,000.
1:06:43Shannon Sharpe:They're like, man, we can't give him that. He love to work out. So we just give him away money.
1:06:49Iso Joe Johnson:Right. Yeah, that was fun, bro.
1:06:53Shannon Sharpe:But, you know, Mike and Mike told him, Mike says, I don't want Shannon here. Shannon cannot get in shape. 84 cannot get in shape doing our thing like he can get in shape doing his own. But I don't trust y 'all like I trust him. Right. So, hey, I was out of there. Hey, y 'all let me know when the camps, I come to that camp. You know, we had a three-day camp. And then we had, you know, you have a three-day camp, mini-camp, and then you have a week mini-camp. so you come in you get what Thursday, Friday, Saturday you up out of there Saturday afternoon or whenever you leave and then you have that week you come in on a Monday and you know everything go good they'll let you off Thursday at noon boom so that's hey I'm Ocho what happened the Kansas City Chiefs restructured Patrick Mahomes contract this week lowering his cap number from$78.2 million to$34.65 million for the upcoming season, creating$43.5 million cap space.
1:08:02Shannon Sharpe:I think they do that with Chris Jones also. I would not be surprised, Ocho, if they didn't trade McDuffie.
1:08:12Iso Joe Johnson:And get the value for him. Yeah, McDuffie's going to be a hot commodity.
1:08:20Shannon Sharpe:I don't know if you saw but did you see they're speculating that Denzel Ward might be post June 1st casually so what y 'all think Kansas City need oh they need wide receivers they need a wide receiver they need an edge rusher
1:08:39Iso Joe Johnson:somebody to pay up a Christian
1:08:41Shannon Sharpe:they need a damn running back
1:08:44Iso Joe Johnson:yeah if Kansas City had a running back, Joe? Like somebody that's, I'm not just talking about a running back, I'm talking about a running back. All you got to do is give him a thousand. Can he give him 1 ,100 yards? A Saquon.
1:08:58Shannon Sharpe:If they have a Javante Williams. I'm not saying you need a Derrick Henry or a Jonathan Taylor or a James Cook or a Saquon. Just a guy that can give them 1 ,100 yards. That's all they need. Yeah. And at some point, I mean...
1:09:13Iso Joe Johnson:I want them. I'm just saying I want them, but I would love for them to have a game changer though on somebody like a jamal charles once again that can hit his head off the goal post from anywhere that it opens up everything else for everybody else especially my homes and that offense because they really haven't had anything like that it's more of a you know dink and dunk two three yards here in my homes having to be superman all the goddamn time give me someone that takes the pressure off the passing game and the goddamn quarterback for a change.
1:09:46I think
1:09:46Shannon Sharpe:the thing is, also, you know what happens is that when you get a guy like a Patrick Mahomes, you're like, man, we don't, we just, we need an average to below average guy, and he'll make him great. Right. Yeah. I mean, and that's how they did Brady. I mean, with the exception of what? Corey Dillon, they wasn't really trying to give him no door. I mean, they're getting guys off the trash heap. they go get LeGarrette Blount after Tampa let him go. Yeah. Coach Belichick said, you know what, a guy that can run with power, you know, he can grind out the clock if we got a close game. But when you have great, they don't really be trying to help you a whole bunch, especially at the running back position.
1:10:32Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. But I like this move. I think Chris Jones is going to save them some money. me personally I would try to move Carlopters yeah the kind of money that you pay to Mocho
1:10:48Iso Joe Johnson:okay okay I see it to me listen you said something that almost disturbed me a little bit you think Denzel Ward gonna be gone? no I don't think he is
1:10:59Shannon Sharpe:I read a report that somebody reported that look he probably like yeah let me go because when I signed that contract, I was the highest paid. I was the highest paid for like a day. Look at all the guys that done passed me. So I'm not so sure he would be disappointed because he would be moved to the front of the line as far as highest paid. Exactly.
1:11:20Iso Joe Johnson:Exactly. Definitely.
1:11:26Shannon Sharpe:But 78 to 34, so you do Chris Jones. You restructure Chris Jones. They got them linemen. Juwan the right tackle he gone yeah
1:11:42Iso Joe Johnson:Joe Tooney Joe Tooney
1:11:44Shannon Sharpe:remember they traded him
1:11:47Iso Joe Johnson:he's in Chicago
1:11:48Shannon Sharpe:yeah Creed Humphrey will be back I like the left tackle I like Creed Humphrey the center the left tackle Simmons that they got he's going to be really good he's coming off an ACL injury the young boy I like him Obviously, Trey Smith, we had him on at nightcap of Radio Row. He'll be back. He's a premier right guard. But they got to do a better job. They got to do a better job protecting Mahomes because he's coming off a serious injury, Ocho. And the last thing, you can't let him get hit like he got hit over the last three years.
1:12:21Chad Johnson:Yeah. ACL tears. And so it's going to be hard to come back and – I mean, he can scoot a little bit, but with an ACL tear, it's going to be tough but the thing is you know what
1:12:35Shannon Sharpe:if you remember they don't
1:12:41Shannon Sharpe:they don't let him remember he hurt his knee doing a quarterback's knee in Denver he's never run a quarterback like a tush push like a conventional now he's lucky you know they take the run and they boot or something like that but just run into the pile he's never done that again
1:12:55Iso Joe Johnson:yeah
1:12:56Shannon Sharpe:same thing with Peyton Manning you remember ever since Peyton Manning hurt his neck They never quarterback sneak.
1:13:00Iso Joe Johnson:Heard his neck? Yeah.
1:13:05Shannon Sharpe:The Florida Senate passed the Teddy Bridgewater Act. The bridge would allow middle school and high school coaches to use up to$15 ,000 of their own funds to support student athletes with food, transportation, and recovery services. I like it.
1:13:24Iso Joe Johnson:That's dope. That's live.
1:13:25Chad Johnson:I don't know why they would ever have a problem with that in the first place. That never made sense to me.
1:13:30Iso Joe Johnson:I mean, man, it was ridiculous, especially what happened. It was ridiculous what happened at Miami Northwestern, man. Teddy, you know, being able to help those kids, man, with rides and food and clothes. That was crazy.
1:13:46Chad Johnson:They won a championship, too, didn't they, Ocho? Yeah.
1:13:49Shannon Sharpe:His first year back.
1:13:50Iso Joe Johnson:Sure did.
1:13:51Shannon Sharpe:And they lost the reins or reball this year in the championship game in Jacksonville.
1:13:58Chad Johnson:Mm-hmm.
1:14:02Shannon Sharpe:All right, it's time for our final segment of the evening. It's time for Q &A.
1:14:10Shannon Sharpe:Ojo, you want to sing? Huh? Oh, don't worry about it. We ain't got no song. All right. First, we're the Slippery G. Mr. Iso, the best athlete on nightcap and still.
1:14:25Chad Johnson:And still. Hey, I appreciate that, my boy. Come on, come on now. Y 'all got to chill. Yo, you all got to chill. This is what the people want. Y 'all got to chill.
1:14:38Iso Joe Johnson:I know, but sometimes the people, sometimes the people lie.
1:14:41Shannon Sharpe:No, they don't lie. They going overboard though, Joe, man. Come on, you don't need to do that.
1:14:44Chad Johnson:Hey, look, from what they eyes see, OK, Ocho, they was like, woo, boy. No, Joe,
1:14:51Iso Joe Johnson:they just said you the best athlete on nightcap, and that's not true, Joe. that's a lot.
1:14:56Chad Johnson:Ocho, Ocho, that's what the people saying, baby. We can't, hey, we have to set our differences the next time I see y 'all, but for right now, this is where we at.
1:15:04Iso Joe Johnson:I'm gonna let you, I'm gonna let you have your moment. Okay, thank you. Thank you.
1:15:07Shannon Sharpe:Thank you. Thank you. Lee Mason, Ocho behind, must be all the bruised up from the BTA King puts on them. Hello. Boy, hey.
1:15:25Chad Johnson:Hey, he acting different.
1:15:27Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, yeah, yeah.
1:15:27Chad Johnson:Hey, I told you, I'll chat best with your boy.
1:15:31Shannon Sharpe:Eric Jordan Scott, ISO is Acuff the truth. I like Fleming personally.
1:15:37Chad Johnson:I like Fleming too. I like Acuff. Man, just from watching him play, obviously, if you've seen the game last night, he had 49, okay, Ocho in double overtime. In Alabama, we only had seven players, bro. He put the team on his back. Like, I think with the explosion that he plays with, the way he get guys involved, and for me, the most impressive thing is how he shoot the three. He's shooting the three ball with great regularity, and he just looks unstoppable. Every time he touches the ball, it's like something good happens. Even if he don't score, he gets an assist, or he sets somebody up that sets another person up, whether it's the hockey assist.
1:16:16Chad Johnson:To me, I think he a top-five talent. Like I say, man, this draft is going to be deep market, Ocho. It's going to be some cats coming out this thing with chips on their shoulders for sure.
1:16:28Iso Joe Johnson:Hey, Joe, how old is a young boy that went crazy the other night for Arkansas? How tall is he?
1:16:34Chad Johnson:He about 6 '2", 6 '3". But he got that build on. He got like that little stocky. He tough, Ocho. He from Detroit. He tough. Yeah. Yeah.
1:16:47Shannon Sharpe:I gots no chill. Nightcap outside, more like the ISO-BTA Invitational. Hello.
1:17:00Chad Johnson:Hey, listen. Y 'all can't follow Uncle Ocho, man. They ain't know what they were getting into. They ain't know. They ain't know. They ain't let this animal out of the cage. And, boy, listen, they can't calm him down. Okay.
1:17:11Shannon Sharpe:You're day coming. Okay. Dr. Frank L. Bellamy. Joe, you may not be in the Basketball Hall of Fame yet, but you're definitely in the Bowling Hall of Fame. Uncle Nocho, what happened? He got us. You know, my hip started aching, my knees started bothering me, and it's just like, I just went downhill. I went downhill.
1:17:31Chad Johnson:Hey look, all you have to do is just, man, I lost to a better player. I did not do, I don't feel I did that. That's it, that's so hard. I don't feel I did that.
1:17:39Shannon Sharpe:But next time, we gonna go back, and I'm gonna have my own ball, my own shoes, because those balls were too right. I'm saying, I'm just saying that day,
1:17:47Chad Johnson:I was better than y 'all.
1:17:48Iso Joe Johnson:Okay, you got you better than us that day. I mean, hey, Joe, there's nothing you can beat me in. I just never, I never bowled before.
1:17:55Chad Johnson:Oh, man, Ocho, that ain't the only thing. That ain't the only thing we did that day. That ain't the only thing we did. I never played golf before either. Like, I never have. You ain't never threw a frisbee. You ain't never played cornhole. A frisbee?
1:18:08Iso Joe Johnson:You got a lot of excuses, bro. I couldn't afford no frisbee when I was growing up, Joe. Oh man, chill, you got to stop it.
1:18:16Chad Johnson:Frisbee was 99 cents back in the day.
1:18:19Iso Joe Johnson:No, I ain't even have 99 cents, Joe. I ain't even have shoes to go to school in. I wore flip flops. How am I getting a Frisbee?
1:18:27Shannon Sharpe:Come on, Joe. Buzz Lightyear saying, what are y 'all scouting report on each other? Joe be talking-ish?
1:18:36Chad Johnson:Nah, nah. I see, I had to sit back. I had to wait my, I had to check out. I see what y 'all got going. Once I assessed the whole situation, I knew right away, I said, oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I got the E-board. Yeah. Yeah, they be on nightcap, big capping, selling wolf tickets, ain't nobody buying them because I damn sure ain't buying them. Yeah. Your dick coming. Your dick coming.
1:19:01Iso Joe Johnson:I wasn't even dressed appropriately, so I would dress for a date.
1:19:04Chad Johnson:That's your fault, bro.
1:19:06Iso Joe Johnson:I would dress for a date because when we finished, I would go on to dinner. so I was kind of uncomfortable I couldn't bowl I couldn't throw anything right because I was constricted but I got you next time
1:19:17Chad Johnson:Chad don't want to hear all that that's what I'm trying to tell you
1:19:20Shannon Sharpe:man I got my own ball my own shoes I'll be right I'll be getting these hips all warmed up
1:19:26Chad Johnson:yeah yeah yeah put a little WD4 on the hips I want y 'all to remember now I was only about 65 % I wasn't 100 % fellas
1:19:36Iso Joe Johnson:I was 50 %
1:19:38Chad Johnson:Okay. I'll just let y 'all know what y 'all will be where. Yeah.
1:19:43Shannon Sharpe:Don't matter. King Payne 21. ISO for another BTA dub. What do the Ravens have to trade to get Crosby? Lamar needs a big wide receiver to throw the ball to as well, not just big tight ends. Likely to the Chiefs. I think personally, I like likely to the commanders to give Jalen Daniels a target.
1:20:04Iso Joe Johnson:Jalen Daniels a target?
1:20:06Shannon Sharpe:I like that. I see them going to get another receiver also. They say they want – look. They said the reports are two first routers and a player, you know. A crowd. I don't know who they got offensively other than Lamar. You're not getting Lamar, so that's off the table. And plus you're taking a quarterback. With that being said, Ocho, who they want on defense? I don't think – I think Kyle Hamilton is off limits to them. but you probably could have anybody else if you wanted them but I'm not sure the Raiders want anybody else on that defense yeah
1:20:44Iso Joe Johnson:I think everybody is off limits except Kyle but I just don't see the exchange in value I mean how many teams can you trade for where you can get the value equivalent to Matt Crosby I mean you just can't even if you get two first round picks those two first round picks might not equate to what Matt Crosby's been for you anyway. You never know. It's sometimes hit or miss. It's what you do
1:21:10Shannon Sharpe:with those picks. You look at what Seattle did with the picks that they got for Russell Wilson. Right. That's a Devon Witherspoon. I say they did okay with that.
1:21:20Chad Johnson:Mm-hmm.
1:21:23Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, for every situation like that. They parlayed those draft picks in. You say, okay, that's how you hit it at the park. You look at what the Houston Texans did with those draft picks they got for Deshaun Watson. You say they hit it at the park. They really got it. And that's what matters. It does not matter, oh, they got three first riders and they got this. Well, if you miss on all of them, what the hell does that mean?
1:21:42Iso Joe Johnson:Yeah. You got to hope they pan out, bro. There you go. You got to hope they pan out.
1:21:47Shannon Sharpe:It's Matty2215 chat. What's going to happen more tonight? Unk mentioning Clint Kubiak's dad was his OC or Ocho Shadowboxing. All hail King Iso talk your ish. Nah, we moving on past that. Hello. Yo. Trio Brown, y 'all go get more laughs from night camp outside than a comedy special. Great watch. Appreciate that. See, I be trying to, you know what? Ocho, we just gotta go back to being how we were. Cause you know, we tried to be chill. We tried to chill.
1:22:19Iso Joe Johnson:Yeah, I was chilling. Like, I'm - Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. He just came out of nowhere just talking trash. I'm like, wait a minute.
1:22:27Chad Johnson:Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, chilling. This man rolling all on the ground and everything. He talking about he was chilling. Oh, all on the ground and all. He was chilling.
1:22:36Shannon Sharpe:I was just chilling. I was just laying down. My hips and my back was hurting. So I was just laying on the lane.
1:22:42Chad Johnson:Hey, hey, hey, hey. Ain't no chilling, ISO, baby. All 2026 is going down. BTA. Yes, sir.
1:22:51Shannon Sharpe:Keep that same energy. Keep that same energy. Brandon Martinez says, Unk, invite someone else to play. Ocho keeps losing.
1:23:03Shannon Sharpe:What I lost in? All the events that we did. I didn't. You lost in bowling, huh? We split. I came in second. Joe won. Joe won both rounds. But the first round, I came in second. You came in last. The next one, you came in second. I came in last. But you ain't winning no event.
1:23:24Chad Johnson:and and two is not a winner and three nobody remembers we know this yeah we talk about you
1:23:31Shannon Sharpe:first of all i won two events i did joe won three events so joe won oh joe you didn't even come close
1:23:39Chad Johnson:to it it was a good sparring match i appreciate you know the challenge that y 'all brung amongst me like i appreciate that because it keep me sharp you know what i'm saying you make me have to lock in, keep me sharp. I appreciate that, man. So I want to give y 'all a hand. I want to give you an uncle hand. I'm going to give y 'all a hand right now, man. I appreciate that.
1:23:58Iso Joe Johnson:I appreciate that, Joe. I appreciate that. Your day coming. I know next time I'm going to be in my play clothes.
1:24:07Shannon Sharpe:Big underscore Sarge underscore Brooks. Where's ISO Joe's emoji? Use the ISO with the crown. There you go. Man, he ain't getting no emoji.
1:24:18Chad Johnson:Yeah, man. Come on, man. What's wrong with y 'all? Why y 'all got... Listen, when the people anoint you, bro, you can't do nothing about that.
1:24:24Shannon Sharpe:Come on now. Jbuddy5, who was more dominant, Julius Peppers or Jason Taylor? I didn't play against... I was... Hold on. What year did Pep get into the league? 2002?
1:24:40Chad Johnson:One? Was it 01 or 02?
1:24:43Shannon Sharpe:He was 02 because... Because I think Jack Del Rio was his first ODC.
1:24:54Shannon Sharpe:Man, Pep. I'll probably say Pep. I ain't never seen a man that big could move, be that agile, Ocho.
1:25:04Chad Johnson:Man, that boy was a hell of an athlete. I'm talking about when I used to watch him play for Carolina on the basketball court.
1:25:09Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. I mean, you're not going to see a guy his size. You're talking about 6 '6", 285? Could move like that. Could jump. Could cover backs out of the backfield. Run with a tight end up the seam. Could speed rush. Could bend.
1:25:25Iso Joe Johnson:Yeah, he would different. Yeah.
1:25:28Shannon Sharpe:Brandon Martinez, 56-57. The double champ does what the F he wants. Somebody give the people what they want by the OJs. Bryce, these women out here trifling. Damn, Bryce, what happened? JJ Carver 80 said, oh, bold like he's slipping, skipping rocks. Look, man, I told you my hips, man. But look, I'm going to get an MRI. My knee bother me now. My knee ain't been the same. I got next. Why Prime ain't been on yet this year? Prime got a lot going on. Plus, he got his sons to worry about. He got his basketball. He got his own show he got going on. Prime got some stuff going on, man. But we'll see if we can get Prime back on here.
1:26:15Shannon Sharpe:Terry Bullock said, hey, Nightcap fam, come to Eatonton, Georgia, to the Lake Oconee and get some good fish out there. Yes, I know.
1:26:31Shannon Sharpe:I'm trying to think. What's the – they got a what you call them out there. I think they got a Four Seasons of the Ritz Cardinals out there. Where at? in Lake Oconee.
1:26:43Chad Johnson:They biting out there? Huh?
1:26:48Iso Joe Johnson:I don't know where that's at. Lake Oconee. Oh, okay, okay, okay.
1:26:53Shannon Sharpe:You know, Motor 3 Sector, the franchise quarterback is being paid to handle his scandal. What the F? I don't get what this is. Who's that? Franchise quarterback playing a paid to handle his scandal. I don't know what that is, bro. Mashburn, 525. Unk 1, Ocho 1 in bowling. Finish the series for second place. Nah, I'm winning. Don't finish no second place. B-Nicks underscore sports. Detroit basketball, La Portia cigars. Yeah, yeah, we gonna celebrate. Aaron Owens, what seed should the Miami Redhawks get if they finish undefeated? Probably be a six seed. What you thinking?
1:27:43Shannon Sharpe:Hopper King, I got two words for y 'all. Detroit basketball. And the show. Vontae Lewis, let them know. And it is ISO, Team 501.
1:27:59Chad Johnson:Hey, that's home team. That's home team right there, baby. Y 'all know what going on.
1:28:03Iso Joe Johnson:You feeling good, huh?
1:28:05Chad Johnson:Yeah, you see Lil Rock in the building. Stop playing. Yeah, Joe feeling good, eh.
1:28:09Shannon Sharpe:Joe, who's the toughest player you had to guard?
1:28:14Iso Joe Johnson:Ocho?
1:28:16Chad Johnson:The toughest player I had to guard?
1:28:21Man, I'm going to have to say the hardest guys.
1:28:27Chad Johnson:I know, obviously, LeBron, Kobe, them, but the hardest cast to guard, bro, were guys like Rip Hamilton, Ray Allen.
1:28:35Shannon Sharpe:All they did was run.
1:28:35Chad Johnson:Because them jokers never stop. Like, you got to fight over four or five picks before you can even contest a shot. And on top of that, this every play. So then you got to go down and go at them offensively. That's the hardest thing. Like, when I was a rookie coming into the NBA, that was the hardest thing you had to learn. It's called lock and trail. You had to learn lock and trail. Your guy stay on his heels. That's the hardest thing by far because you shadowing a dude trying to keep up with him juking. Man, that's almost impossible. That's the hardest thing to guard, bro. Those guys, Rip Hamilton, Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, them guys who never stop moving, that's the hardest to guard.
1:29:35Shannon Sharpe:for the number one seed in the Eastern Conference. I think with a 41-13 record. Y 'all know who I am. I'm your favorite uncle, my partner and co-host. That is the bingo Ring of Fame honoree, a former Pro Bowler and an All-Pro. That is Chad Ochocinco Johnson. And the third member of the Big Three that did not stop gloating tonight from the University of Arkansas, Little Rock, Arkansas native, ISO Joe Johnson. Joe, thanks for joining us, man.
