3:12Shannon Sharpe:quarterback had to wait much longer than he expected to be selected in nfl draft but he but he did end saturday celebrating going to the kansas city chief with their final pick number 249 in the seventh round as a rookie nussmeyer is expected to be the understudy of patrick mahone He's listed at 6 '1", 205 pounds, underwent tests, NFL scouting combat that revealed a cyst on his spine, which contributed to an oblique pain that plagued him during his 2025 season. Before the Senior Bowl, Nussmeier had been asymptomatic. He could have a procedure if that changes, which would keep him sidelined for just a few weeks to allow the stitches to heal.
3:51Shannon Sharpe:Much of Nussmeier's performance last season was complicated by an abdominal injury. In nine games, Nussmire recorded 1 ,927 passing yards, 12 touchdowns, and only five interceptions. Joe Ocho, you like this pick? I mean, he was highly touted. I think his dad was an offensive coordinator. I think his dad is – where's his dad? He's in Chicago now? He's at the Saints. Okay, he's at the Saints. So, obviously, his dad was a coach, and so, you know, these guys that dads are coaches, they're normally pretty good. but he was plagued, some injuries. Never really lived up to the expectation that coming out of high school that they had for him.
4:31Shannon Sharpe:But you like where he went, guys? You like this selection? What are you guys thinking?
4:38Chad Johnson:I mean, it's a good selection. Obviously, you're going to the Chiefs. I mean, your chances of actually playing probably won't play anytime soon. Learning behind Patrick Mahomes, I mean, that's a dream come true for any college quarterback coming into the NFL, being able to sit back and learn behind, what, the third best quarterback of all time? I mean, why not? Obviously, you have some injuries that plagued you, obviously, in college. Hopefully, he doesn't have to get any procedures done, and he has a chance to have one hell of a career, especially whenever Brother Mahomes, you know, 15, he decides to call it a career.
5:22Shannon Sharpe:Just get it. Think about how many guys have not, you know, had a, you know, go somewhere, back up, get in, play a couple of games, play well, and guess what, Ocho? Go somewhere else and get. Yeah. Big deal. Big deal. This all happened with Matt Castle. Played one year. He was a backup. Backup to Carson Palmer. Backup to Matt Liner. Backup to Tom Brady. Tom Brady gets hurt. He played boot. Parlayed that into a big deal.
5:49Chad Johnson:Went crazy. Hey, how many quarterbacks do the Chiefs have? Huh?
5:56Shannon Sharpe:Didn't they sign somebody in the offseason to back up my homeboy? Justin Fields. Justin Fields. Oh, they got Justin Fields.
6:03Chad Johnson:Okay. Yes. Okay. So what type of year did he have this year at LSU, the quarterback?
6:11Shannon Sharpe:He had 12 touchdowns, five interceptions, and nine games. Oh, he didn't play. Oh, nine games. Yeah. I think the thing is that, you know, playing in Brian Kelly's system, I don't know. I don't know how. I mean, they didn't meet the expectations in LSU, that's for sure. Based on the salary of the coach, based on the NIL, they didn't meet the expectations. Hey, look, I know that's why I received you over there, So they didn't have no good wideouts this year, Ocho. I don't think – I don't think – I don't remember no wideout coming out, Ocho.
6:53Chad Johnson:I don't either. I mean, they had a stretcher.
6:55Shannon Sharpe:You know, they had OBJ and they had Jarvis and they had Chase and Jetta. And they had Brian Thomas and they had Malik Nabors. They had a run.
7:05Chad Johnson:Ohio State is on a run right now, Joe. Oh, yeah.
7:08Shannon Sharpe:Oh, yeah. I seen that, boy. And, you know, they got – what do you call them coming out next year? Jeremiah. Jeremiah.
7:14Chad Johnson:Jeremiah is going to be the number one pick. He definitely could. And then who – last number one – last wide receiver that went number one. Who was that?
7:24Shannon Sharpe:Keyshawn? Keyshawn in 96. That was the last one? The last one to go number one. There have only been two, if I'm not mistaken. I think Urban Fryer went number one in 84 and then Keyshawn in 96.
7:35Chad Johnson:Damn. Damn. He's definitely going number one.
7:43Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, Joe Burrow and the Bengals pass catchers got after it today. Got better. You know what it is.
7:52Chad Johnson:You know what it is. They linked up? Yeah, you know. Joe got a place down in Miami? No, they probably down here though. Oh, okay. What's the day?
8:04Shannon Sharpe:Today's Saturday.
8:05Chad Johnson:They probably fly back Sunday. The off-season training. and program. Off-season condition, yeah. Everybody there. So they probably down here went out there on that field and threw around a little bit.
8:20Shannon Sharpe:Did you do off-season? You did off-season?
8:23Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah. I was out there, bro. Matter of fact, you know it was so fun back then, too? Not only did I do the off-season program, but I used to do my boxing with Adrian Brona and Rasheed Warren back then before they had gotten big. It's like 2001, 2002. so they not they hadn't gotten big yet and oh hey man boy it was crazy man it was some fun days though I like the all season program it's only 13 weeks Joe hold on I'm saying it's mandatory
8:55Shannon Sharpe:no they normally put money in your contract Joe some guys have a million dollars some guys have 750 some guys have 500 ,000 a quarter of a million if you make 90 % of the workouts you get the money you get your money no don't put it in my contract Right. I'm going home. I ain't lying. I'm going home.
9:22Shannon Sharpe:Because the thing is, Joe, when I left Atlanta and went to Denver, I didn't come back home. So when I leave Denver and go to Atlanta, I don't want to come back. I want to miss it because when I got ready to go back to training camp, I was ready to go.
9:37Chad Johnson:Right, right.
9:38Shannon Sharpe:When I got ready to go to training camp to go to Baltimore, guys, I was ready to go.
9:42Chad Johnson:Yeah, that's a long-ass play. Once I leave my mind, I'm not there.
9:48Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, yeah. And plus, you know I'm working out. I'll be ready. I promise you. So we have to come back. You know we got to run those – because you know, Ocho, you got to run those 12, 14, 16, 100s.
10:02Chad Johnson:Yep. You got to take that conditioning test. Yes. So, no, I'm good.
10:08Shannon Sharpe:I just, plus I want to go see, I want to go spend some time with my grandma. If something comes up, I want to be able to, I don't want to have to fly way across country. Yeah. Hey, plus I got the kids now. No. Then I get to get the kids on the weekend and then I'm going to get them for six weeks in the summer. Nah, I'm good. I don't, mm-mm. All right, it's time.

15:34Shannon Sharpe:If our final segment of the evening, it's time for QA.
15:49Shannon Sharpe:Before we get to our Super Chats, we got four video voicemails from our Discord. Let's take a listen at the first one.
15:58Chad Johnson:Unk, Ocho, Joe, what's good with y 'all? My name is Antonio. I go by Fallout Media. Hey, Unk, I want to say you the GOAT, man. I appreciate you, bro. Since day one, Undisputed, I've been watching you. But y 'all, can we talk about my Browns? Y 'all see what's going on. Y 'all see what's going on. We won the draft. Can y 'all talk about it? We won the draft. We got the best tackle. We doubled up with Casey Concepcion and Denzel Boston, traded up for the 6-3, 6-4 Toledo safety. Come on, man. And we drafted another tackle. What more y 'all want to see? Ocho, it's over with. For the Bengals, it's over with.
16:32Chad Johnson:It's Shador time now. It's legendary time. It's legendary time now. It's over with. They insane joke? Hey, he hype, huh? He excited. Yeah, he hype. He definitely hype. I'm glad you hype. I like the names. I like the names. I like the draft that you guys did have. But, you know, having names don't mean nothing on Sunday at 1 o 'clock. You still got to be able to play. You still got to be able to perform. I love Shador as much as you do. But Deshaun Watson is going to be the starter. I know people probably in the chat say oh what do you talk about you don't listen they paying the man you paying the man a certain amount of money you paying him that kind of money not to sit his ass on the bench now when he's hurt that's one thing I'm not paying you that kind of money and you healthy to sit on the bench that's just not the way the NFL works in general if you understand business Shadov will get his opportunity he will probably be the quarterback of the future but this season belong to Deshaun Watson until he starts to play bad and the goddamn Browns aren't playing well.
17:33Shannon Sharpe:Not only paying, paid. Oh, yeah. Got to try to get something. I got to try to salvage something out of it, Ocho.
17:40Chad Johnson:Yeah. But I like what the Browns did. I like what they did. I like the picks. I like the picks. I like the picks a lot.
17:47Shannon Sharpe:They got some protection. Yeah. They got them some receivers. It's like we need a safety. I mean, we got playmaking safety. You got Miles Garrett on one side. You got Denzel Ward. Hey, you had the defensive rookie of the year, middle backer. I think it's Swartz.
18:09Shannon Sharpe:So, I like what the Browns did. I like what the Browns did. Now, as Ocho said, let's see if they can actually play football on Sunday.
18:20Chad Johnson:Yeah.
18:22Shannon Sharpe:All that other stuff is inconsequential now. Can you play football? That's it. that's what I need to know let's take a listen to our third one
18:35Chad Johnson:what's up my cat fam Jersey in the building Ocho, Iso, Unk man love the show keep up the good work man y 'all be having me dying bro I'll be having to rewind it back sometime just to hear it again bro y 'all really be having me cracking up but I want to say this though I know y 'all was talking the other day when y 'all was talking about Wimby and his build when 2K26 dropped, everybody was making a Wimby build and 2K had to spam it. That's how bad it got. That man is a freak monster. Love y 'all boys. Keep it up. I can see that. I can see that. I don't know how much 2K you play Ocho, NBA 2K. I play it a little bit, but I ain't in the park and all that to where you build a player.
19:25Chad Johnson:but my cousins them be on a heavy and he right they all make that 7-4 7-5 dude you can create that and he can have a jump shot he can be a rim protector hell who don't want that damn bill
19:40Shannon Sharpe:you know so he right he right that's Wimby for real they created a player that's actually an actual player
19:48Chad Johnson:the only thing is when you get online and you playing against everybody here you gonna run into somebody with the same damn bill
19:55Shannon Sharpe:So somebody got to win before you You got to win before them But they got to win before you too Here's our fourth and final one Let's take a listen What's up my cat What's up Ocho And still King Iso This is DQ from Auction Mississippi I love what y 'all guys are doing With the show I got a question for Iso But it includes Uncle Ocho
20:21Chad Johnson:Iso you the quarterback game on the line you got on at left side you got outro at the right or vice versa however you want to do it who are you throwing the game winning touchdown to eight or four oh or eight or five
20:37Shannon Sharpe:the man with the same last name as you johnson love what y 'all guys doing man keep it up
20:43Chad Johnson:shit hey if we in the red zone i'm probably going to i ain't gonna lie to you if we in the red zone If we down by like the 50, something like that, Ocho, I might come to you. In the reds, I'm going to ump. Hey, Joe, no scenario is even needed when I'm on the field. It don't matter. We'll be out on the field. We could be backed up on the one-yard line. If you want to come to me, I'm going to be open. We could be on the goal line. If you want to come to me, I'm going to be open. Ocho, my longest touchdown longer than yours.
21:13Shannon Sharpe:Huh? My longest touchdown. Do you got a 90-yard touchdown under your resume? I don't need one. You say backed up. I got more touchdown to you.
21:23Chad Johnson:I don't need one. I mean, listen, we not throwing the ball. See, you caught that touchdown because they didn't know they were going to throw you the ball. It ain't. Who didn't thought they were going to throw it to you? Hey, hold on. We backed up. We ain't got to cover sharp. We're going to let it go. What happened? They threw it to you? You were gone. Okay, we ain't got to cover sharp. Hey, I'm going to use my weapons to the best of my ability. Ocho, I got you, baby. but we're in the red zone probably gonna go big fella you know i'll tell you one thing if we in the red zone i'm double team anyway so that's fine okay all right yeah i'm done you ain't going up over nobody getting no tub wait you well you know what they called me in high school what they call you baby moss yeah they called me baby moss in high school well hey i was like this i would i
22:10Shannon Sharpe:would tap on them oh oh you know you got that murky eye so the ball got to get right up on you, you ain't going to be able to high point it. The ball got to get right up on you.
22:18Chad Johnson:Hey, you right about that. Bro, you right about that.
22:25Shannon Sharpe:We got another one. We got another one. Okay, all right. Here's our last one.
22:30Chad Johnson:Night, Cat. I want to tell y 'all what's up. Speak to my boy, Uncle Ocho. What's good, Joe? So, Uncle, I want to ask you how you think my Lions are going through this upcoming season. and I also want to tell Ocho I'm secretly a Bengals fan. I like Joe Burrow.
22:51Shannon Sharpe:Ocho I think the biggest thing is for the Lions is defense. And staying healthy.
22:58Chad Johnson:That's it. The Lions defense is over. The offense is out this world. They're going to compete with any and everybody. Obviously we need a quarterback to stop turning the goddamn ball over in the worst opportune times all the time. Four turnovers here, five turnovers here, and the games that matter most. But can we get the defenders on defense to be healthy this year? Brian Branch went out. Terry and Arnold went out. I mean, Joseph. Is it Kirby Joseph? Did I say it right? Yes. He got hurt. Like, come on, man. As long as the boys stay healthy, they are going to be right in the mix once again. I agree.
23:36Shannon Sharpe:I agree. And they got to play. Look, Green Bay's in that division and Chicago. You can't have no slip up. It's going to probably take 11, 12 games to win that division. Oh, yeah.
23:46Chad Johnson:The Bears ain't going nowhere no time soon. Neither are the Packers. Zayda Phanam.
23:53Shannon Sharpe:Denny Avila. Denny's Grand Slam. Chili's two for 20. Spurs in five. Dr. Frank L. Bellamy. Congratulations to Adam Randall on being drafted to the Baltimore Ravens. N.C. represent. Adam Randall. What pick was he? because I remember you mentioned it.
24:16Shannon Sharpe:But somebody had to be. She said, no. Oh, yeah. No, we had Surratt. Yeah, we had a couple of pounds. Surratt, Mesidor, Frank. I mean, excuse me, Mack. So we had about four or five guys that came on the show that ended up getting drafted. Lee Mason, Ocho, please send some homemade remnants for Ant-Man. We need him back ASAP. I got him
24:39Chad Johnson:I got him matter of fact it's too late right now I'm going to call Ant in the morning ask him what's wrong and I'm going to get that remedy over to him I got him
24:49Shannon Sharpe:Catalog talk what up fellas how you feeling about our Ravens draft now that it's over Lane and Surratt you think they can step in and make an impact early they ain't got no damn choice I mean it's so much easier when you go to a team that has a proven quarterback which the Ravens have look they're going to stack the box you're going to get a lot of one-on-one coverage they got to stop derry henry all they needed to do was improve the right guard improve him and you're going to be okay they did lose this they lost their center linda bomb because he ended up going to the ravers because they made him an offer he couldn't refuse because remember he was uh linda bomb was suffering and they didn't they didn't pick up that fifth year option right and so there's like picking up a fifth year option meaning he's going to be the highest paid he ended up becoming that but the Ravens like that was too rich for our blood.
25:38Shannon Sharpe:I think the Ravens are going to be just fine. Everything is contingent. The draft is one thing. How is eight engaged and how healthy is he? That's all you need to know about the Ravens because if he's healthy and engaged, they're going to win a lot of games. If he's not, they're not doing anything.
25:55Chad Johnson:Not only is he healthy and engaged, but the defense has to play better. Yeah, when they get Madabuik is back,
26:02Shannon Sharpe:they drafted another D lineman. So I like a mocha.

29:45Shannon Sharpe:Amazon Pharmacy presents Painful Thoughts. Of course I see my co-worker in line at the pharmacy. Can he tell I'm picking up prescription hemorrhoid cream? I'm probably standing weird. Why is he smiling? He knows. He's going to call me hemorrhoid Lloyd tomorrow. I know it. I've got to quit my job. Next time, avoid awkward conversations and get fast-free delivery with Amazon Pharmacy. Healthcare just got less painful. Go ahead, bro. Oh, Lord. I don't know what I'm afraid to ask.
30:21Chad Johnson:Boy, look at it. I bought you some of these. Oh, you got me some? Yeah. All right, hey, I appreciate that, bro. Hey, hey, hey, hey, we could be twins when we go to the Hulk game together. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. Oh, oh, oh, oh, you try to pull, you try to pull the wool over my eyes.
30:39Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, yeah, yeah, he tried to, he tried to butter you up on your iPhone.
30:42Chad Johnson:He tried to, hey, hey, I see what he tried to do. all right hey hey hey joe i do i just want to see y 'all go home man i want to see your face hey joe
30:51Shannon Sharpe:you know they're gonna be looking good y 'all both got on them pants at the game together
30:55Chad Johnson:i don't know what you got going on me hey hey listen i'm i listen i'm just trying i'm just trying to cheat you up man yeah joe said no no no no i better go by myself yeah yeah yeah hey hey hey that job was so funny when i told him we were going together he said dog that don't look right well hey I was in tears when I watched it back man that joke was funny boy
31:19Shannon Sharpe:you do live in Atlanta yeah you go home by yourself but then you were talking about facetiming man what if somebody in there and Joe and you uh you facetimed Joe and Joe talking to you on the phone man he was talking to Ocho on his phone nah hell nah hell nah hey with that jungle kid of meals uh oh Joe I saw Gobert is causing hell for Joker also if the Lakers get their two big guns back for round two. We have a fight. I don't think Luka's coming back. They said four to six weeks. It'll be two weeks.
31:51Chad Johnson:Yeah. You got a better chance.
31:53Shannon Sharpe:Luka coming back before the Western Conference finals is slim or none if they were to make it that far.
31:59Chad Johnson:You got a better chance of AR coming back and he is right. Gobert Lentz is giving Jokic hell because Jokic's not an athlete. He's a groundy big. Yes. When he's going
32:11Shannon Sharpe:When it's his move, Rudy, high hands, contesting everything. It's tough. And they tell him, Rudy, Rudy, just don't go for the first move.
32:19Chad Johnson:Right.
32:19Shannon Sharpe:The first move, don't bite. Because he's going to try to get you up in the air. He's going to try to dip up under you. Just use your lint to bother him.
32:27Chad Johnson:Yeah, you're absolutely right.
32:31Shannon Sharpe:Aaron Owens, I know meds aren't the end-all, be-all, but did you see the international pathway program? U Bernard ran 4-6-3 at 3-0-6. Yeah, I saw him. The Philadelphia Eagles took him, I think, with their seventh-round pick. He's raw. Oh, the dude who never played before. Huh? The dude who never played football before, but he got – Yeah. Yeah, I seen that. Yeah. Damn. I mean, but the Bs, you know, 6 '4", 6 '5", running 4 '3", running 4 '6", at 300 pounds.
33:02Chad Johnson:What position he going to play?
33:05Shannon Sharpe:He's a defensive player, isn't he?
33:06Chad Johnson:Yeah, DN. He played DN, I think.
33:08Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Philly gonna be hey you see Philly got Grinner hey
33:18Chad Johnson:I'm excited I'm excited to see everything unfold man to see how things work out for some of these players the new additions I'm excited for the preseason preseason gonna tell you a lot remember remember Victor Cruz in the preseason yeah man
33:32Shannon Sharpe:he scored a three touchdowns against the Jets
33:34Chad Johnson:hey he got that opportunity Joe yeah that's how he looked Boy, hey, we ain't look back. That's all I'm saying, bro. That's what you got to do, Ocho.
33:45Shannon Sharpe:You got to seize the moment. Hey, seize it. And when you seize it. Ain't a whole lot of opportunities out there. I mean, there are more now, Ocho, because the starters don't really play. Right. So now the backups get more of an opportunity. But here's the thing. If they add another regular season game, that mean what? They're going to cut a preseason game. So now you only got two opportunities. Two games, yeah. Whereas before, we was having four or five opportunities. Yeah.
34:09Chad Johnson:Yeah, you're right.
34:10Shannon Sharpe:So obviously if somebody's playing the Hall of Fame game, you'll get an extra game. That'll be three games. But for the most part, these teams, they have two. So you'll get less chances.
34:20Chad Johnson:Hey, when I first came into the league, Uncle Ocho, we playing nine, ten preseason games, bro. God damn. They only probably play a handful of them now. But yeah, we playing eight to ten preseason games for sure. Hold on, Joe. The starters play? The starters play the whole game or they get a few minutes? Nah, we play like, you know, your stars play the first half. Okay. You know, then as it gets a little later, you may play all the way to the fourth quarter. You know, you ain't never play the whole game. But, hell, nine games? Because I remember we went 8-1 in the preseason one year. That year I played in Phoenix.
34:54Shannon Sharpe:We went 8-1 in the preseason. So we was out there getting it. That's how we used to build up. You play 10 plays, then you play 15 plays, then you play to the half or maybe to the first series of the third quarter. And then you're out. because they were trying to build you up, getting you ready for the regular season. Yeah. The hardest thing is that you don't play. Because, man, I played one year and didn't play. I think I played like the last preseason game, but I only played like 20 plays. And then came to the regular season, our first game was at Denver. I know you were tired. Had I been in shape, I probably would have had three.
35:28Shannon Sharpe:Ocho, I dropped probably like four or five passes for 60 yards. I had 10 for$1.80. Ooh. But I was exhausted, Ocho. I was tired I'm talking about like a one legged man in the ass kicking contest I was tired like that you know one legged man Joe he jumping the kick
35:49Shannon Sharpe:his air it is Ocho just give the order I got some jets that will press up for the awards keep her from you and will press ISO keep playing with you about your name
36:00Chad Johnson:they good they good call the dogs off call the dogs off I got this I'm gonna let him keep the words right now. My focus right now is playing Joe one-on-one and just and taking it. I do. I want to see his face when I take his soul on that court. Hey, hey, hey, make sure you bring your brothers too. Huh? Yeah, make sure you bring your brother. I'm running through the whole damn family. Okay. You making a family affair, Joe? Hey, hey, hey. Come on. But my brother, my brothers can hoop for real. They can hoop for real. Shit, I can too. Damn, Joe. What you talking about here? You act like I can hoop for real.
36:33Chad Johnson:All right. you ain't gonna be able to get past me that's the problem alright okay when I hit this move on Joe you hit that euro you hit the euro with the left I'm gonna hit that euro on him I'm gonna have him going left and I'm gonna come back right he's probably gonna fall I'm gonna be slapping that shit like Goldberg slapping that shit what but Joe, you do realize my vertical, you do realize I was 46 inch vertical, right? That shit don't mean nothing. Yeah, all right. I ain't never had no - 20 years ago too though. Hey, I ain't never had no hell of a vertical, but I've been a bad mofo, you hear me?
37:19Chad Johnson:Yeah, I hear you. Yeah, okay. Hey, you know what happened when a bad mofo meet another bad mofo? What happened? The same thing happened to the Hawks? You see what happened? Hey, you need to chill. You gotta chill. I'm just saying. Leave my Hawks out of this, bro. Hey, do the Knicks got a chance? The Knicks ain't, the basketball team ain't got no chance, do they? Who? The Hawks? Do they got a chance? He said, do they got a chance? Yeah, they got a chance.
37:43Shannon Sharpe:No, a chance. A chance.
37:44Chad Johnson:Like a...
37:45Shannon Sharpe:Do the Knicks have a chance? Oh, do Knicks... No, no, no. No, not that I know of.
37:49Chad Johnson:Okay. Well, we need to make one.
37:51Shannon Sharpe:They always be playing that Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. New York.
37:55Chad Johnson:New York. Okay, that's what... I'm going to sing that to Joe after this next game.
38:03Shannon Sharpe:T.S. Carwise Detail Service. What's going on with Jalen Durant is a question. You should get top dollars from the playoff performance, not regular season.
38:14Chad Johnson:Hey, man. Playoffs is where the stars are born. He still got a chance to redeem himself. I ain't going to count him out because he's been a hell of a player all year, but damn, he getting outplayed. I mean, you know.
38:27Shannon Sharpe:Carter doing a number on him. And Isaac ain't even playing the other big. It's just basically Carter just out hustling. I just, he can't muscle Carter. Carter like, nah, you can't muscle me.
38:37Chad Johnson:Yeah, nah.
38:38Shannon Sharpe:I'm taking everything.
38:40Chad Johnson:He playing for a different reason, yeah.
38:42Shannon Sharpe:Mm-hmm, I'm taking everything.
38:44Chad Johnson:Yeah.
38:47Shannon Sharpe:Brad Byrne, Mike Malone, so we're laughing right now. Also, Hawks probably got the most forgettable number one pick in NBA history.
38:56Chad Johnson:Oh, man.
38:59Shannon Sharpe:But think about it, Joe. Everybody be killing Bronny. Bronny playing better than that number one pick for the Hawks. Uh oh.
39:07Chad Johnson:He can, he get, yeah, yeah, yeah. They, cause he, they both had their chances. You know, you know, the Hawks gave him a chance early in this series. Hell, he hadn't played, I don't think he even played since game one or two, hell.
39:24Shannon Sharpe:It's hard. Cause they can't, I can't, I can't put you out there. and you don't look comfortable. Well, he got four minutes. He got four minutes. He had three points. He's one for two from the three-point line. Hell, that must have been... Brody gave us five. Brody gave us five. Brody had five points last night. He outscored the number one pick in his draft, and he outscored the entire Rockets bench.
39:52Chad Johnson:Yeah. Hey, the Lakers play again tomorrow, huh? They do. Let me see what time that game comes on. on oh the game don't come out till 9 30. that prime time lakers gonna be prime time the cavaliers i know the calves they're gonna they're gonna take care of business yeah they got they got they got spanked the other night uh jj carver why does no one point
40:16Shannon Sharpe:out how bad joker is on defense they're not down only because he's playing bad on offense his defense is back everybody's talked about that he's a one-dimensional player he's not a one on one defender but he normally gives you so much on the offensive end that it's hard to take advantage of him defensively everybody's been saying that there's no secret
40:39Chad Johnson:absolutely right everything magnified when you're not efficient from the field and you can't score well
40:52Shannon Sharpe:D Reid HT LeBron versus KD look like the Lakers will win the AARP Bowl. Horrible.
41:02Shannon Sharpe:Man, stop hating. Nate Harper. Hey, Ocho, Iso, which team, past or present, whether you have wanted to play for? Also, who do you think will meet in the NBA Finals?
41:16Chad Johnson:Not the Hawks. Come on, bro. Come on. Come on, man. Who do I think going to be in the NBA Finals? I think it's going to be... OKC in Boston? Yeah. Yeah.
41:29Shannon Sharpe:I can see that.
41:33Chad Johnson:OKC in Boston.
41:33Shannon Sharpe:Oh, Joe, if you could have played for a team, what NBA team you wanted to play for? NBA? Oh, the Heat? The Heat? Yeah. I mean, even with Pat Hallett like that. LeBron and Wade and Bosh?
41:45Chad Johnson:Nah, nah, nah, because I need the ball in my hand. So, hey, LeBron wouldn't be LeBron and D-Wade wouldn't be D-Wade if I was here because I ain't taking the backseat to nobody. Hey, mine probably would have been probably would have been like Dallas or something, close to the crib.
42:03Shannon Sharpe:Okay.
42:04Chad Johnson:Okay. Yeah, I like Dallas. I like Dallas. I like the city, period. But, yeah.
42:10Shannon Sharpe:You didn't think about moving to Dallas?
42:12Chad Johnson:Hey, I got something up my sleeve, you know, as we speak. Okay, Ocho, I don't know yet. You ain't leaving Atlanta. Hey, listen, if you leave that palace, man, and sell it to me all right babe you you you what you gonna you don't never come out here yeah i would never come there but i just had me know in case i do come i got somewhere i could be i get to go hey how many how many how many square feet we talk about over there joe now we'll talk about that off camera go ahead
42:41Shannon Sharpe:go ahead nobody covers boys like my guys oh oh and i so period hit that like button yeah appreciate that doc. Tell him to hit that like button. I'm telling you. Lanny Ray, hey guys. I'm gutted by Ant and Big Wagyu, but geeked out about the Wolves and the Wild winning tonight. I think officially who would better bench is now. Wolves back. Oh, there's no question. Well, hell, your starters, well, clearly with the Somo coming off the bench and what he did the last game and what he did tonight, obviously you guys have the better bench. But for the most part, your starters have outplayed them also.
43:18Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. I mean, the Nuggets have been very inefficient. Nobody has really been efficient. Jokic is shooting under 40%. Jamar Murray is struggling with his percentage. The injuries are catching up with Aaron Gordon. They haven't gotten anything from Cameron Johnson. They haven't gotten anything from Christian Brown.
43:37Chad Johnson:And the Timberwolves are a very, very underrated defensive team. They've shown that.
43:46Shannon Sharpe:when you got those guys you got mcdaniel and you got if you got one guy that can do what he does on the wing and then you got go bear protect him from the back see that's what that's what makes okay see so tough yeah they got all those guys but they got hard and stay and they got chet back there yeah yeah and they run multiple guys they'll throw a door and they're grueso and all those guys Wallace, yeah, that's the difference. Booby Miles, Ocho, thoughts, emotional intelligence, connection with your woman. Never heard much about growing up, salute. What'd he say? He says, Ocho, what are your thoughts on emotional intelligence, a connection with your woman?
44:28Chad Johnson:I'm gonna, y 'all the bits in the game. Y 'all can. Hey, you go ahead and answer that one.
44:37Chad Johnson:because hey listen anytime you ask me anything anytime i get a question like that man listen it's gonna be the right message just the wrong messenger so i'm gonna let you have it okay
44:46Shannon Sharpe:the sean ellis love y 'all like my real unc here's different when you yearn and when you yearn that from your actual family keep doing what you guys do and love tucson arizona appreciate that man appreciate it very much it's maddie royal yapper unc jester ocho kinko is still King Iso. 84-85. High high was Justin Blackman's ceiling. Iso high high was OJ Mayo's ceiling.
45:13Chad Johnson:Ooh, OJ Mayo was nice.
45:15Shannon Sharpe:Y 'all saw Blackman when he was at Oklahoma State? Oklahoma State. Yeah. Nice. He was phenomenal. He had a, I mean, guy was big, fast, could high point the ball. He just had those demons that he couldn't shake.
45:26Chad Johnson:Yeah. I think OJ Mayo was a hell of a player, Uncle Ocho. especially in high school, college. But, you know, when you get to the pros, bro, it's a little different. I don't think he was ever quite like an all-star, but, you know, he was a hell of a piece to a team for sure.
45:46Shannon Sharpe:I think Joe, once he tore that knee, he wasn't the same athletically. Yeah.
45:52Chad Johnson:It's just, you know, for his size, like he wasn't the quickest person. He wasn't the quickest guy of his size, but he had a knack for scoring. He could score. Yes. He could score the basketball. He had been doing that since he was yay high. You know what I mean? I just think when you get to the pros, things become a little different, bro. It's a little harder to score. You know, the game ain't as easy as it may have been when you was, you know, a little junk. So, but I thought he had a decent career.
46:21Shannon Sharpe:Sure, let's come sanity to Ocho. But Iso about to cook you. We all see you play basketball, Ocho. Ocho could have been on Shaq to the food. Hey, they ain't said nothing that we already don't know here.
46:34Chad Johnson:Well, what you know? I mean, y 'all don't know nothing. You see me play with a bet on the line where I couldn't do nothing. This is all just me. We got eyes, bro. We got eyes. Hey, this is all just me. It's just me and you. From the eye test, we can see. Hey, it's just me and you. I ain't trying to hear nothing you talking about playing. Hey, and just because you talking loud, that don't mean nothing over here. I'm just letting you know. Hey, one thing. When I get like this, Joe. when I get like this and I start moving around and fidgeting. Yeah. You best believe, boy. You got the right one. Matter of fact, you know what?
47:10Chad Johnson:Just for you talking shit, I ain't give you them damn cheetah pants. Man, damn them damn cheetah pants. Hell.
47:19Shannon Sharpe:Hey, Thab 5142 Hey, Iso, I see you had an F60 super truck. You still got it?
47:25Chad Johnson:Nah, I ain't got it no more, Unc, but I used to have one. but it thing has six does on it.
47:31Shannon Sharpe:Oh, Joe, I mean, Issa, what the hell you doing
47:33Chad Johnson:with a 650? Man, when I seen it, I felt I had to get one. I ain't gonna lie to y 'all. Hey, hey, I had that flip-flop, uh, uh, uh. That paint, you had that candy on it? Ooh, I had that flip-flop joint. That joint was, boy, hey. Joe, what you - Hey, look, I couldn't go nowhere, bro. Anywhere I went, somebody was stopping me, flagging me down, I'm like, damn. Joe, what you had, Joe? I had a F-650. He had a 650. You want the 450, Joe had the 650. Hey, you saw my tweet, Joe? Uh-uh. Man, I just tweeted that about three hours ago. Did you? Yeah. That thing had six does on it, Ocho. That like Shaq had a great one, huh?
48:11Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Shaq did have one. He had one. I'm talking about they were identical. Man, you could fit like 15 people in that thing comfortably. Like, yeah. Hey, what you think about them four? I want a dually. I want a 450 dually. Them joints so nice. You talking about that big super duty joint? Yeah. Them joint nice, boy. I just, I don't know where to go.
48:34Shannon Sharpe:Joe said, I had one, but I had to get up off it.
48:36Chad Johnson:Yeah, I got up off it.
48:38Shannon Sharpe:You can't go nowhere with it, Joe.
48:39Chad Johnson:You couldn't. You couldn't, but hey, look, I had it in Miami. I used to come to Miami every summer for about two, three months and train. I had it down there. Well, you couldn't go nowhere with it. I come outside from wherever I'm at. It's people standing in front of us taking pictures. It was a showstopper for sure. I thought you were... Hey, Joe, you know somebody at the Ford dealership, Joe? I got mine from a guy. This dude, he'll make them. I think he out here in Georgia somewhere. Hold on. That's the same dude made my international? I don't know. I don't know. What do you mean? It might. You know, Joe, I had an international.
49:17Chad Johnson:You know the little semi, the little international? Oh, did you? Yeah, I think this might be the same dude. It must be, bro. I ain't seen many cats. He made my international. He was out here in Georgia? Yeah, I think he was from Georgia, yeah. You remember his name?
49:31Shannon Sharpe:Nah, I don't. I don't know why y 'all got them big-ass trucks. Y 'all want to be on the farm. Y 'all want to farm.
49:35Chad Johnson:Remember the truck I came on my birthday? When we got our ass whooped by the Jets? Yeah. Hey, Joe, I drove in Monday night. I think it was Monday night. Playoff game. Brand new truck. International. Man, we got our ass whooped, Joe.
49:55Shannon Sharpe:J-Dub Akron, Iso up. Been chill your whole career. Is Iso the first man you wanted to put hands on? Hit it with the two little poles where you dunk on him for the game point.
50:07Chad Johnson:Dunk on who?
50:09Shannon Sharpe:He said, I want Iso to dunk on you.
50:12Chad Johnson:Man, listen, if he jumped, boy, he gonna end up on his head. Man, you don't even stand a chance. You don't even know it. Hey, Joe, wash my handle, Joe. Can you see? Let me tell the camera. Let me see. Let me see what that is. I want you to see me happening, Joe. OK, let me see. Oh, yeah. I just look like this, Joe. Hey, hey, hey, Ocho. Ocho. Go between your legs and behind your back. Ocho, we were dribbling like that at elementary part of the world. Hey, Joe. I ain't trying to hear all that, Joe. Hey, I'm like Kyrie with this thing, boy. Look at that. Oh, oh. Hey, Ocho, I know some guys over at LA Fitness, boy, who'll give you the business.
50:58Chad Johnson:Hey, listen, ain't nobody at LA Fitness ever beat me at nothing, Joe. Ain't never beat me at nothing. Well, some dogs over there at LA Fitness.
51:06Shannon Sharpe:R.I.P.E. forever. What's good, Ocho, I saw it, the Nightcap fam. Never miss a show. Hey, we need those Why You Bulljabber the Hello shirts for the people. Hello. Hello. Hello. If you put Shea in the current Hawks team, you think they're going to play the same way he plays now? The same goes for Jalen Johnson on OKC team ISO.
51:31Chad Johnson:Hold on. You saying if you put Shea on the Hawks team, you taking Jalen Johnson off? Yes.
51:38Shannon Sharpe:You're going to put Jalen Johnson on the Thunder. You saying do I think what?
51:42Chad Johnson:Do I think the Hawks will still be a good team?
51:46Shannon Sharpe:would Shea still be the same type player he is, or would Jalen Johnson be a different type player or the same player that he is?
51:53Chad Johnson:I think Shea will still average 30 because he got some weapons over here. He got some guys who can shoot, who can play. Now, we need a little more size, but I think he'll still average 30. I think Jalen Johnson will still be a hell of a player too, anywhere from 22 to 25 points a night. They got a plethora of guys who can play, but I think, you know, I still think he'll be a very, very effective player.
52:17Shannon Sharpe:J-Star, high night, Cap. If the Lakers sweep tomorrow, I need you to bring out the goat mask and ask a fool. I don't know. Ash had the goat mask. I don't know what she did with it.
52:31Shannon Sharpe:Actually, she was supposed to get a new one. Brendan Martinez, with the Cowboys' new weapon, do you think they can win the NFC? One weapon?
52:42Chad Johnson:Keep it real. Keep it real. One weapon?
52:50Shannon Sharpe:Look, I like the additions that they made offensively. I love Caleb Downs. I like Malachi, the defensive end. I need to see their defense. If they can generate some pressure, because I think offensively are going to be good, Ocho. Oh, absolutely. With pick back. It's just, pick's going to be upset. because you look at it, Puka's going to get somewhere 43, 44 million. JSN just got 42. You got Chase at 40.2. You got Jetta at 35, CD at 34, and you expect this man to be happy making 27, 28.
53:33Shannon Sharpe:That's the problem with you. See, Ocho, if all these guys that I mentioned first were in the low 30s, mid 30s, the low 30s, he'd have been cool. But he's looking at, hold on. You ready to tell me they got 43, 44 on the table for Puka? JSN just got 42? Chase got 40?
53:55Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, man, I'm feeling some type of way. I ain't feeling it, y 'all.
54:01Shannon Sharpe:DK making 33. AJ making 33.
54:07Shannon Sharpe:We shall see. Real Sports Talk, Unc Ocho. What do y 'all think about the Raiders getting Jamon McCoy in the fourth round? He was a guy that he missed. I think he had a knee issue. And there was concerns. Obviously, you know, you're concerned. Is it something that's short-term that we can get fixed? Or is it something degenerative that's going to be a problem for years to come? And I think that's why he slid. But if his knee checks out, I think they got to steal in the fourth round.
54:37Chad Johnson:Mm-hmm.
54:41Shannon Sharpe:Titan guy, what's up? ISO, super freak. When y 'all was rookie, what players gave y 'all welcome to the NFL or NBA moment? Mine was, I told you, MJ.
54:55Chad Johnson:01, that's when MJ came back. He was playing with the Wizards. That was my rookie year. Love shit NFL moment.
55:08Shannon Sharpe:I don't even know who the guy was, but I think I was on kickoff team. And you know back then, Ocho, they could block back. So, you know, now you can't crack back. Yeah. Nothing. Man.
55:21Chad Johnson:Somebody caught you, Unc?
55:23Shannon Sharpe:Man, they caught me. They caught me. I didn't see him. I should have known because the guy that was like – the guy that was frontside, he went away. You know, and I'm like, I'm oblivious. I ain't thinking Ocho. I'm like, ooh, man, damn, he done made a mistake. Wait. Right. Ooh. That's all, hey, all I remember, oh yeah, I'm about to get him, he done made a mistake, he went the wrong way. Get you right in that air hole. Yeah. That was worse though, Joe, because, hey Joe, you totally relaxed, you like, yeah. Bam. Damn. Sam LeGrand, A.I.S.O.R. heard you talking about how you got into gaming the other night specifically, RPGs.
56:11Shannon Sharpe:You should check out the game called Phantom Blade Zero. Comes out September 9th. Phantom Blade Zero? Yep. I'm going to check it out. Let me write it down.
56:25What?
56:29Shannon Sharpe:I'm hungry. Me too, Ocho. Eric W., can we talk about Diego Pavia going undrafted? I mean I don't really think that's a shock do you think that's a shock Ocho no I don't either
56:48Shannon Sharpe:the height concern what did he measure 5 '8 5 '9
56:58Shannon Sharpe:he doesn't have an agent
57:06Shannon Sharpe:5 10 on the 8th okay
57:11Chad Johnson:okay you end up somewhere yeah you end up somewhere
57:33Chad Johnson:Ocho what you gonna get you a glizzy or something nah but I'm going straight to Waffle House boy
57:41nah
57:42Shannon Sharpe:I'll rustle up something I'll probably eat my chicken and rice you in Atlanta no I'm in Vegas
57:50Chad Johnson:alright my bad you should go hit Waffle House with your boy you ain't in Atlanta nah I'm just saying I'm just saying like just hit Waffle House. Like you go to Waffle House, I'm going to go to Waffle House.
58:06Shannon Sharpe:Man, I think I'm going to get out of my damn house and go to the Waffle House someday at 2 o 'clock in the morning.
58:11Chad Johnson:That's when the food is the best. That's when Waffle House food is the best, this time of night.
58:17Shannon Sharpe:They ain't got no Waffle House here anyway. Thank you guys for joining us for another episode of Nightcap. The Denver Nuggets lose to the Minnesota Timberwolves without Ant-Man who left the game with an injured knee. Dante DiVincenzo left the game with a torn Achilles. We know he's done for the year, but we don't know. The severity of Ant-Man's knee injury hopefully is nothing major. The Knicks go on the road and take back home court from the Atlanta Hawks 114-98. and the Magic blow a 17-point lead, but hold on. And they take a 2-1 lead over the Detroit Pistons. Y 'all know who I am. I'm your favorite.
59:05Shannon Sharpe:That's my partner and co-host, a former Pro Bowler. Hey. What's up?
59:10Chad Johnson:You know what I just thought about?

59:12Chad Johnson:You saw the Michael Jackson thing?
59:14Shannon Sharpe:I haven't seen it.
59:15Chad Johnson:Hey, Joe, you saw it?
59:16Shannon Sharpe:No, I ain't seen it neither.
59:17Chad Johnson:Boy, did you know Michael Jackson had a denim shop? What kind of shop? Denim shop. No, I didn't know that. Yeah, it was named Billie Jean.

1:00:18Shannon Sharpe:Cat had his first playoff triple-double. They win 114-98. They tie the series up. Head back to New York with home court intact. In Orlando, they blew a 17-point lead, but they hang on to win 113-105. And they take a 2-1 series lead. And Shea Gil just was sensational today. 42 points on 15 of 18 shooting. as they take a commanding 3-0 series league. They can close it out on Monday. Lakers look to close it out tomorrow as they have a 3-0 lead on the Houston Rockets. We don't know if Kevin Durant's going to play. We'll find out later tomorrow. Thank you guys for joining us. I'm Unk. He's Ocho. He's Iso.
