3:43Shannon Sharpe:Luka Doncic is out indefinitely due to a left hamstring injury. He'll miss the remainder of the regular season, and his status is uncertain beyond that. Austin Reeves is also expected to miss the next four to six weeks due to a grade two oblique injury. Jesus. Damn. Both expected to be sidelined to begin the playoffs. Luka is expected to be out at, excuse me, Reeves at least through the first round if the Lakers were to get past the first round. Wow. Maybe he'll come back, but they're saying four to six weeks.
4:15Chad Johnson:Man, that's going to put a lot on Brumbrun, don't it, man? Yeah. He got there by himself. Brumbrun going to take it back. Hey, take it back to Cleveland. He's going to take it back to 16, 17, 18. Get up 25, 30 shots. He's going to have to do that. He's going to have to do that for them just to even compete, just to even be around.
4:34Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
4:35Chad Johnson:I'm sure he knows that, though.
4:37Shannon Sharpe:I think they got OKC. They got OKC again. And they only want like one game, two games. They one game, I think, in front of the Nuggets, maybe two games in front of the Rockets.
4:49Chad Johnson:Yeah. They ain't going to lie. They might get caught. If they get caught, that means they don't want that four spot. Hell no. Who they got to play if they got the four spot? Well, then they'll probably have to play Denver or Houston. They'll play Denver or Houston. But hell, it ain't even there. You get out of that round, you're going to have to play OKC in the next round. Hey, so if Reeves and Luka is out, right, what the starting five going to look like now? What do you think?
5:15Shannon Sharpe:Probably Kennard. Okay. Probably Bron Kennard.
5:25Chad Johnson:What's the boy name?
5:28Shannon Sharpe:DA? Maybe Marcus Smart? I thought Marcus Smart was hurt. Marcus Hurt. He got an ankle dealing with an ankle injury, I think. They gonna have to rely on one of them young boys.
5:50Chad Johnson:Oh, LaRabia? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. LaRabia. He's been playing all right. He's been playing good ball.
5:58Shannon Sharpe:I mean, guys will be healthy all year, and it's the worst time. Sometimes sports is so early, Gibby.
6:06Chad Johnson:And that's why they say timing is everything, bro. Like, you got to be playing great basketball at the right time. Not only that, you got to be healthy. Got to be healthy.
6:26Shannon Sharpe:Oh, man. That's all right. LeBron going to show y 'all even at 41. Watch he averaging these next five games. Average about 35.
6:34Chad Johnson:He's going to have two, huh?
6:36Shannon Sharpe:35? Yeah, he's going to have to shoot 25 times. I mean, he's going to have to change because he's like, let me put this thing in autopilot. I know I'm only going to take 10 to 15 shots. I'm the third option. Hey, ain't no more go standing in that damn corner. He about to be on the ball. Yeah, he back on the ball. Okay. He about to be back on the ball, Joe.
7:02Chad Johnson:Oh, yeah. He going to rack up some assists. He going to have to give you at least 30-plus a night.
7:10Shannon Sharpe:For sure.
7:11Chad Johnson:Yeah. Luka averaging 33, 32 a game. AR averaging 25. I mean, come on, man.
7:22Shannon Sharpe:A video went viral of Austin Reeves interacting with an OKC fan after Luka went down. Take a look at this video, guys. I'll pull my hands on you. Check out my hands, you guys.
7:37Now you don't want to play defense. Shut the fuck up. Shut up.

12:44Chad Johnson:Damn, I thought we just started.
12:46Shannon Sharpe:It feels like it, don't it? We've been on here a little minute, Joe.
12:50Chad Johnson:Almost two.
12:53Shannon Sharpe:Before we get started in our super chat, we got some videos from our Discord. Let's take a listen. Let's take a listen to what he had to say. Nightcap Big 3, what's good with y 'all, man? My name's Isaiah calling from Northern California. Man, I just want to give y 'all y 'all flowers, you know, 2 million subscribers. I done made a lot of burner accounts over the last month, but, hey, we did it. I'm willing to serve whatever suspension YouTube throws my way. I did wrong so Nightcap can, you know, be right. You know, but hey, Victor Wembenyama, defensive player of the year is a lock. Stephon Castle, first team all defense is a lock.
13:28Shannon Sharpe:I don't want to sound like a greedy Spurs fan, but can y 'all see Kelton Johnson maybe winning sixth man? Maybe Julian Champagne making that second team all defensive team. Let me know something. Win VP, win VP, win VP, and go Spurs, go.
13:46Chad Johnson:Now, Wembeny may win defensive player of the year. but the Alexander Nicholas Alexander for the Atlanta Hawks he's man of the year bro now he's star he winning most improved yeah he winning most improved
14:01Shannon Sharpe:I thought Preyton Pritchett could win 6th man of the year but that scene probably started too many games
14:05Chad Johnson:oh cause he did start a couple games yeah yeah
14:11Shannon Sharpe:but Castle definitely should be on the first team all defense
14:13Chad Johnson:yeah he gonna be on the first team
14:14Shannon Sharpe:but Pennant, Pennant, Pennant ain't hey Castle the one with the dreads on Yeah. He eating ice. Yeah. He was rookie of the year last year.
14:24Chad Johnson:Yeah. I ain't going to lie, though. They all – all them dudes defend, though.
14:29Shannon Sharpe:All of them are digging. I ain't going to lie. They all defend.
14:31Chad Johnson:They all defend. They all play at a high level. And when you got Wemmey back there – Six men?
14:38Shannon Sharpe:They say Keldon Johnson does have the best odds to win. Who's he in front of? I think Walker's team. Hawkins Jr. And Reed Shepard. Reed Shepard. Oh, so Peyton Pritchard ain't in it?
14:51Chad Johnson:Nope.
14:52Shannon Sharpe:He wasn't starting too many games. Man, what's Kelton Johnson averaging? Probably about 15. Because it's him. The best odds is him, Hawkeyes, and Reed Shepard from Houston.
15:07Chad Johnson:Yeah, he'll probably win it then. Kelton probably win it. They playing great ball, too. You get rewarded for winning, too. You do.
15:15Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. And you should. You should. Here's our second one. Let's take a listen. What's up, Ocho? What's up, Ice-O? First of all, Ice-O, one of the greatest basketball players I've seen, Ocho. Best feet in the game. Should be in the Hall of Fame. Ocho, you are the greatest tight end to ever play the game. I know you like to defer to Gronk and Kelsey all the time, but you revolutionized the game, my boy. You made the tight end position exciting to watch. and I only watch the different broadcasts because of you because you see where I'm at. But anyway, congratulations on two million and I'll be here for three million.
15:57Shannon Sharpe:And once again, oh, you are the GOAT. You are the greatest. Go ahead on and embrace it and let the world know that you are the GOAT. That's what's up. Appreciate that, man. That's what's up. Two million, I mean. They were excited as we were to get two million, man. You know, people, you know, two million and organically and we really appreciate that because none of this is what we've been able to do is possible without you guys. So thank you guys again. And here's our third and final one. Let's take a listen. What's up, Nightcap family? Javon Brooks here. Want to give a question to Joe. Man, Joe, around 2007, 2008, used to always do a charity event in the city of Atlanta.
16:35Shannon Sharpe:And one year you did a charity event at the Bowman Alley. Not sure if you remember, but you did it for all the members in the Boys and Girls Club. And I was one of those members, right? and I want to know what made you do that because when you threw that event you didn't have no cameras, no media, no security. It was literally just you bro. You just showed the most love ever and you didn't know this but by you doing that event bro that inspired me to do the same thing in my community bro so I want to just say thank you but again what made you want to do that bro? Because you didn't have to do that and Ocho shout out to you brother.
17:09Shannon Sharpe:You already know what time it is but yeah peace out.
17:15Chad Johnson:for me, man, I grew up in a boys and girls club. My mother, my mother worked at the boys and girls club. So I was in there all day. From the time we opened up to the time it closed, Thrasher boys and girls club in Little Rock, Arkansas. Man, that's where I, that's, that's where I learned how to play. That's where I learned how to compete. I mean, that was everything for me. So when I got a chance to really pay it, pay it back. Yeah, I always want the Boys and Girls Club to come out, and I always want to do an event like that. So, yeah, I should do an event every year, man. We should have a lot of fun with it.
17:54Chad Johnson:Might even bring it back.
17:56Shannon Sharpe:That's dope. It's always great when you give back.
17:59Chad Johnson:Man.
18:00Shannon Sharpe:I'll pay it forward. Desmond Williams, Arizona couldn't buy a shot if Briggs counted his currency. They definitely struggle shooting the ball. Big time.
18:10Chad Johnson:Hell, you got to get Michigan credit, though. Like, you know, them dudes playing hard. They were bowling, boy. Testing all these shots. You know, they weren't giving them dudes nothing easy.
18:20Shannon Sharpe:Nah, nah. Alpha bodies. Ocho got that Princess Peach crown on. Man, stop. What did he say about my crown?
18:31Chad Johnson:They ain't rolling. That's what he said. They said they ain't rolling. No, that's one person. That's one person. They said they ain't rolling, Ocho. Nah, listen, that's one person, Joe. We can't be worried about one person. say hey as of right now king ocho and still huh what you talking about it ain't it ain't got it ain't got the same ring they got the same pop yeah come on you know they got the same right chat no that chat no they got the same ring ah nah don't try to get the chat in it hey hey matter of fact you know what hey it's it's 134 too it's one it's 134 hey chat um i i hate to do this uncle joe i just want a quick moment of silence uh for a very good friend of mine a chinese man who invented the camera lens he passed away so rest in peace to zoom in

Alive. a lot yeah Kanye's one of them I've been to most of Kanye Kanye shows the visuals the creativity uh the the changing of sets that that he does is second to none um anyone else I would go see live
29:22and that that's about it that's about that's about it you haven't seen CB live Chris Brown No. I've seen him live. The kids have, but I know what I get when you go see CB. It would be no different than going to see Beyonce. It would be no different than going to see Bruno Mars. You know what you get when you go to see those type of individuals that have that kind of stage presence and command the crowd at all times. I know what I'm getting.
29:48Chad Johnson:Hey, listen. I've seen CB. I've seen Drake. I'm going to tell you how somebody else I've seen who put on a show. that dang on R. Kelly, man.

Man, that boy cut a fool. That boy cut a fool.
30:22Shannon Sharpe:Well, I've seen Bruno Mars. I've seen Beyonce. I've seen Bruno twice. I've seen Beyonce about three times. I've seen Adele. I've seen Usher.

32:26Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, Maxwell Nice. Damn, what's the name? I see John Legend. John Legend got a nice one. John Nice. Because John and Adele, they're kind of telling you, they're kind of giving you where they were, what they were thinking when they wrote this song, what the song means. So they give you the backdrop of the story of the song. So I really like that. You know what? You know what I want to see? my girl Cardi B hey I'm gonna see Cardi B

34:20Because, you know, I love the band.

Now listen, I might not sound like the person that sing the song, but when it kind of performing, in stage presence? Yeah. I got you beat. Joe, you know, you got to remember, Joe, I was a theater major now. But see, Ocho, see, when you listen to a song, you don't listen to the backdrop of the story of how the song came to be. Right, right. Like the song Love Train. Yeah. Two guys was dating the same girl. Ooh. They were in the same music group, and that's why he said he want to call over.
38:46Shannon Sharpe:He want to come over. But he couldn't because he was already over that bandmate was already over there. She said, I want to wait. Go back and look into the backdrop of the story. Uh, uh, uh. What song is that, huh? Love Train. Hold on. Who sing Love Train?

Hey, boss, he ain't working. Yeah, that would have been Joe. Hey, what was Samuel L. Jackson's name and Jango? Steven. Steven. Hey, Joe would have been Steven. Why'd have Joe been? Hey, Samuel killed that role, boy. You hear me? Yeah, he did.
51:35Shannon Sharpe:He should have got an Oscar for that role. Man. He killed that. And the one he did with Matthew McConaughey, when his daughter got raped and he went to the courthouse and he fucked, he should've got off with that road too. Hey, that boy cold, bro. Oh yeah. Yeah, that's what you call him. So back then, you know, the Al B. Shore, the L. DeBarge, the Chico DeBarge, all that really looked really good here. Yeah. We ain't stand a chance. We ain't stand a chance. But old Mike came along. Ever since old Mike came along with a tug out,
52:09Chad Johnson:he did Wesley. It was a wrap. We've been all good. Oh yeah, that Wesley boy, he charcoal. Yeah.
52:16Shannon Sharpe:We've been at the top of the charts ever since. Tyler Spence, Ocho, tell a joke. We want an Ocho joke. I told it already, you missed it. Yeah, he got us. You know. I gots no chill. Cut one, cut one, two. Uh oh. Okay, cut, I guess keep. I guess, hold on, he's got cut one, keep one, trade one it's supposed to be, right?
52:43Chad Johnson:Cut one, keep one.
52:46Shannon Sharpe:Okay, okay, you got a belt, you got a switch, you got the extension cord. The extension cord gone. Yeah, that one gone. That extension cord, he gone. He ain't not doing anything else. That extension cord gone.
53:01Chad Johnson:I'm taking that belt over that switch. Yeah. Yeah, I'm taking that joke.
53:06Shannon Sharpe:I ain't want no part of that extension cord. That thing don't break. Man, I'm telling y 'all, listen. Man, my teeth. My ass got teeth and can chew it like a dog.
53:15Chad Johnson:I don't want no part of that. I'm telling you. Listen, dawg. My auntie Sherry, boy, that's all she used was a switch. Yeah. Here's your cord. Yeah. She put fear in your heart, boy.
53:29Shannon Sharpe:I don't want that part of that. Hey, that lamp don't work no more. and they cut the cord. I'm like, hey, throw the whole thing away. What you cut the cord off for?
53:37Chad Johnson:Walking around the house with it around their shoulder like this him. Yeah.
53:42Shannon Sharpe:Hey, should have had a heavyweight belt. Number one ass cut him all time. Hey. Hey. Yeah, hey, boy. Ace Wade, 17. A whipping fresh out of the shower is the worst whipping you can get. Yeah? Yeah, out of the shower? Yeah.
53:59Chad Johnson:Damn, I ain't never had one of them. I don't know about out the shower. I know about out to sleep because they tell you to do something before you go to bed and you forget to do it and they come home and they beat you out to sleep.
54:13Shannon Sharpe:My grandma was notorious for that, so yeah. You know what I hope, Joe? My grandma would beat me and my brother and then get on the phone and tell everybody. Or when they come home for 4th Sunday, you know I had to tell that boy ass up. Ain't nobody ask you that. I mean, talk about church. You just got out of church and tell me you had to tell the boy ass Yeah, he was asleep, I shut down on his ass. You proud of that? I mean, you act like you just won a thousand dollars, granny, damn.
54:40Chad Johnson:That's how it went back in the day, boy.
54:43Shannon Sharpe:They call everybody. Yeah, he's out here being managed. Oh, Lord, have mercy. Them people ain't even ask you none of that, granny. Ain't nobody ask you nothing about the whipping. Ain't nobody ask you nothing. I don't even know why you brought that up. Yeah, yeah.
55:00Shannon Sharpe:But the more people that have no chill, they tell everything. Hey, don't you be speaking. My grandma saying was, don't speak. Hey, stop speaking behind people, which means don't repeat what you heard somebody say. Keeping it. Why you telling you to speak? Why you taking it out of this house? I should have cut that boy's ass. He up there telling what happened in this house. You do it all the time. I should cut your ass, did you?
55:26Chad Johnson:Yeah. Yeah, hey. That shit was different back then, boy.
55:30Shannon Sharpe:Oh, yeah. They wait till you get that shirt off. Man, boy, I'm gonna grab my shirt down on you. Woo!
55:41Shannon Sharpe:Boy, hey, you grab that, let it go. Yeah. What? Look, just, you know. I ain't gonna be able to do that great. I'm gonna hold on a little while longer.
55:51Chad Johnson:We all scarred behind them ass whoopings, boy.
55:54Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, hey, boy. I don't know if my grandma would've been the number one seed, but hey, she wasn't getting out of that top five.
56:07Shannon Sharpe:Neha, tall and brown skin. Hey, big head. That wouldn't be sad, Joe.
56:13Chad Johnson:Man, you already know it. You already know when you ain't talking to them in a while. They hit you. They slide in your DMs or send you a text. Hey, big head. All right, now.
56:24Shannon Sharpe:Come on, then. Yeah. I ain't heard from you in a while. You told me not to call you no more. I mean, Joe, what you expect? You tell somebody not to call you no more. They didn't talk about I ain't heard from you in a while.
56:37Chad Johnson:You know, I ain't really mean it. How am I supposed to know that? Yeah, you know them girls. You know they want to chase. They want us to chase them. They want us to chase them. Y 'all know how it go, man. Mm. Hmm.
56:48Shannon Sharpe:That's a lot. Have mercy. Coach Rogge. Oh, geez. Hope all is well. Thankful for another 24 above the ground. Y 'all gave my pops a shout out a while back. Much appreciated. What play from y 'all's career do you wish y 'all could get back? Play? Yep. Oh, I remember like yesterday. What's it? The AFC Championship? Nope. Mm-mm. It was a play. we lost the regular season game. We had home field. If we win the game, we end up losing by like three points. We win the game. I dropped the touchdown to the south end zone against the Raiders. We win the game. We get home field. We ended up having to go to Buffalo for the AFC Championship game and we lost 10-7.
57:32Shannon Sharpe:Damn. I remember like yesterday. Happened just like they drew it up. Started in tight, motion out, linebacker Robinson from UCLA number 57. I forget his first name.
57:45Chad Johnson:Oh, man. For me, my first year in Brooklyn. When I got traded to Brooklyn, we played the Bulls in the playoffs. First round. I had a pretty good series, but the game seven at home in Brooklyn. Okay, Ocho, I went to hot yoga at like 2 o 'clock in the evening. Normally I go at like 5 in the morning, so I give myself time to recover. Yeah, get some fluids back in you. Man, I went at 2 o 'clock in the evening, had to go straight to the arena And when I left there, I'm talking about I was depleted. You hear me? I'm talking about it's like I couldn't get out of first gear. Man, I finished the game with four points.
58:20Chad Johnson:And we lost. We lost. I was ass trashed. If I could get that game back, boy. Why you go that late? Because, man, I had my lady in town. She had her friend. You know, it's playoffs. I'm trying to. And so I got up late. So I'm like, man, I'm going to catch this 2 o 'clock. I'll be all right. Right. When I got in the game, I felt like I was stuck in first gear. I couldn't even move.
58:43Shannon Sharpe:And Ocho, what do coaches always tell us? After Friday practice, get off your feet. Get off your feet. Yep, right away. What about your stomach or your back? I'm going to be on something. I ain't going to be on my feet, but I'm going to be on something now. He didn't say nothing about that. M.C. Robinson, Ocho, just pay Unki his money. You technically owe him 12K on the college football playoff when Indiana beat Miami. it was double when you put 5900 on that game. Damn, I forgot about that. We ain't bet that? Yeah, we did. Y 'all can't bet. Hey, who was that? Man, they y 'all some snitches. Boy, I gotta stay where I gotta stay from around y 'all, man.
59:27They snitching? Man, he the fans.
59:34Shannon Sharpe:Vegas resident going out solo. I'm single, so you got three, you get three got advice on non-creeper approach to going up to a woman.
59:47Chad Johnson:Three non-creeper advice. So you don't want to make it seem like you're a creep? You don't even need three. I'll give you one. What you got? Use confidence.
59:57Shannon Sharpe:That's it. If she thinks you're attractive, there ain't nothing you can say that makes you sound like a creep. It's just only when she don't find you attractive or interesting anything that you say sound creepish. You're like, hey, baby, I got 50 grand for you. Oh, you're a creep. Get away from me.
1:00:17Chad Johnson:If you think you look good, oh, how you doing? Hey, even if you don't look good, confidence will always win. You got to be confident. Got to be. No stuttering. Hey, how you doing? Listen, I couldn't help but notice you from across the way. I don't mean to interrupt and be in your personal state.
1:00:37Shannon Sharpe:Are you staring at your creep? Oh my gosh, what are you doing? Hey, Joe. One thing about it, boy, I got the gift of gab. Boy, I can talk, you hear me? Hey, man, listen, man. I can talk. They already heard. Best mouth in town. Yeah, hey. You know what I'm saying? I wouldn't say the word out of the street. Just like word get around on the other side. Yeah. Hey, one thing about it, Joe. You hear me? What's that? Hey, word of mouth travel past, and everybody want that experience, huh? Okay. All right. Come on, man. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, man, hey, we oughta, hey, come over to the house, we gonna have a cookout.
1:01:18Shannon Sharpe:Boy, you think I drank out of that joke of glass, don't you? I mean, on Joe. Hey, I got red solo - I bring my own solo cook. Nah, I got solo cuffs, huh? You know, I throw them away once I use them.

1:02:09Chad Johnson:Yeah. Where you going?
1:02:11Shannon Sharpe:Huh?
1:02:11Chad Johnson:Where you going?
1:02:12Shannon Sharpe:We already know where you going. Heaven. Where you going, huh? Heaven. Don't never go to the front, though. Always go to the back. Hey. Hey. I always been a rebel, huh?
1:02:29Come on now.
1:02:30Shannon Sharpe:Samuel LeGrand, what he got upset about was a lie anyway. Tried to say she ain't shake his hand when it clearly did. Just take the L and move on. That's what it was, bro. It's really that simple. Geno expected to win. He felt he had the better team. He was the odds of betting favorite. He was the defending champ. He expected to win. And when he didn't win, this is what we got. It wasn't about no damn shaking no hand. talking about you waited three minutes. That woman shook your hand and walked back to her bench.
1:03:03Chad Johnson:She did. She did.
1:03:07Shannon Sharpe:So I don't know what Gina was thinking. I mean, and like I said, an apology, you need to, it got to include, you can apologize to South Carolina, you can apologize to the staff, but for it to hit, it needs to be personal accountability. who did I offend who did I say and do this to

1:04:54Chad Johnson:You didn't win. Yeah, that little weekend.
1:04:58Shannon Sharpe:Now, to say what you say, how would it go if a player tried to get out a contract like what Shiesty did to Gucci? Allegedly, now the DOJ did bring charges, said Shiesty allegedly, reportedly, to get out of his contract, pulled a pistol on Gucci Mane.
1:05:18Chad Johnson:Yeah. Hey. Them boys from -

And reportedly is that people left from Memphis, went down, there was a meeting scheduled in Dallas, and when he got there, they was like, look, this is what needs to happen. Yeah. Yeah, I don't know much about this situation. I don't get, bro, you just did, you just, what, a nickel, a three, a nick? I don't know what you, but you got out, and you making money, and to potentially put yourself back in harm's way?
1:06:04Chad Johnson:Man, them dudes, them dudes don't be thinking like that. They going for respect, homie. They like, hey, if you done done me foul or done somebody in my family wrong, them dudes coming for respect, bro.

1:07:46Shannon Sharpe:oh joe you know i was mature enough to handle that situation
1:07:53Shannon Sharpe:being around you you being around me we went exactly where we were supposed to be yeah yeah but I mean hypothetically speaking it probably it probably would have been

1:08:49Chad Johnson:Yeah. What you got, Joe? For me, I ain't going to lie to y 'all. Okay, Ocho. It would be, you know, not having kids with multiple women, bro. I ain't. I'm going to keep it real. They ain't. They ain't worried.
1:09:04Shannon Sharpe:I feel you, Joe.
1:09:05Chad Johnson:I didn't worry. Like, I sit and talk to my son. He's 19, Ocho. and, you know, that testosterone jumping out his chest. You hear me?
1:09:14Shannon Sharpe:Yeah.
1:09:14Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Man, that shit just ain't that cool to me. It ain't cool to me, bro. Because you have to deal with too many. I definitely would not have done it like that.
1:09:24Shannon Sharpe:I agree with you, Joe.
1:09:25Chad Johnson:Yeah, yeah, because you got to deal with too many different personalities, attitudes, and it's just like, damn, like, you know, I kind of pinch myself sometimes, like, damn. Like, I could have been better in that aspect. I'm just keeping 100
1:09:43Shannon Sharpe:I agree Joe I think the thing is that my co-parent did a great job I think they did a great job explaining to the child your dad ain't like me some of the things that I let slide your daddy gonna bust hell out you so I've always had a level kids I've explained to them our relationship won't ever change the dynamic of our relationship will never change. Right. They're looking at me like, Daddy, what you mean? I say, I'm always going to be the dad and you'll always be the child.
1:10:15Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:10:16Shannon Sharpe:We're never going to be here. Yeah. So don't talk or behave in a matter where you think you're here.
1:10:23Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:10:24Shannon Sharpe:As they got older, I treated them more and more like adults.
1:10:28Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:10:29Shannon Sharpe:And I didn't, you know, I was like, okay, we would have a conversation as opposed to when they were child. I told them what to do.
1:10:34Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:10:35Shannon Sharpe:But as they got older, I started showing them and I disrespected them as a child but I didn't reason with a child I said this is what we're going to do this is what we're going to do if I say we're going to eat here this is what we're going to eat if I say this is what we're going to eat tonight this is what we're going to eat tonight as they started to get older I started to compromise more but let's stay in our perspective places never got down to their level because hey Let it probably lick you long enough in the mouth He'll think he'll stand up to you and bite you Yeah
1:11:10Chad Johnson:I'm with you on that I'm cool with my kids We have a good time But I ain't one of your friends bro I'm not one of your friends I ain't even trying to act like one of your friends I'm just keeping one of them The way I was raised That just wasn't That was a no go Your parents, your elders, they didn't play that you know what i mean so i don't i don't i don't play that so it's like for instance me and my son we go play pickup on can ocho he got a potty mouth i'm talking about he just out there cussing like i'm one of his homeboys or something i'm like oh no i had to pull him to the side stop the game say hey hey man watch your damn mouth out here man i ain't want to okay yeah i know i know i know i know what to do to you now i know what to do to you now and then heat and then heat about i get we compete and we play and pick up you know things may not be going your way man i stopped playing i ain't man i can't play with you bro i ain't i've been without you out here like
1:12:09Shannon Sharpe:man that's hey joe i remember the first time i went with the kids uh they grown we go out to eat like what would you like to drink they ordered an alcohol
1:12:24Shannon Sharpe:I said, what y 'all doing? They're like, daddy, we grown. Oh, Lord, have mercy. Hey, them older kids, boy. You can't tame Momojo? Huh? I mean, my older girls?
1:12:40Chad Johnson:Yeah. Them three that's, we about 20 and up? Oh, yeah. Oh, they drinking? Yes! Oh, yeah, they drinking.
1:12:49Shannon Sharpe:Where you get that from? I know when they went to college, Ocho and Joe, I know they drinking. I mean, but just not around me. That's all I'm saying, bro. But I was just like, I gotta let it, I'm like, ooh.
1:13:00Chad Johnson:Yeah.
1:13:03Shannon Sharpe:Ooh, but no, no, no, no, no. But all that cussing, that mo, ooh. I mean, hey, I let, hey, damn and hell, and I let that slip, it's fine. But you thought mo forward, whoa, whoa, what the hell? Now, come on now.
1:13:19Chad Johnson:Me and my oldest son ain't played pickup in about three years, man. I'm serious, because of that. We go play pickup, I'm talking about dudes just cussing like I'm just one of his partners out here.
1:13:30Shannon Sharpe:Hey, bro. You like me. I don't know what it is. Joe, I think that's to say be raised up in the South and raised up in that environment. Because my uncles and aunts had kids of their own and wouldn't curse in front of my granddad. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yeah.
1:13:47Chad Johnson:I would never curse in front of my mom or my grandma.
1:13:49Shannon Sharpe:No, no, no. I mean, we might say, I remember the time I said ass in front of my grandma. My grandma said, what you say? I said, ass in the Bible. She said, not in that context today. He said, he rolled one into the city. He ain't talking about it. But, hey, yeah, I'm like, oh, no, whoa, whoa. Hold on now. Come on now. I get it. I understand you grown. You know, you grown, I get that. Hey, hey, hey, hey, I'm still dead now.
1:14:20Chad Johnson:Yeah, there we go, there we go. There we go.
1:14:27Shannon Sharpe:Kid1953JohnOcho, have you noticed big punchers have suspect chins? For example, Tommy Hearns, Klitschko, hit the canvas multiple times.
1:14:36Chad Johnson:Boy, they were fighting some folks, though.
1:14:38Shannon Sharpe:Them days ain't just fighting no... Yeah, yeah, yeah.
1:14:40Chad Johnson:Yeah. They were fighting some dogs, man.
1:14:44Shannon Sharpe:Yeah, you know what I mean? Tarmic, the boy, look here. And you know back then in the 80s, there wasn't nobody ducking. No, son. Hearns and Hagler and Leonard and Duran, Iran Barkley, you know. Man, you had to fight.
1:14:58Chad Johnson:Them boys weren't always.
1:14:58Shannon Sharpe:Because the money wasn't like it is. Nah, you didn't get an opportunity to pick and choose. Well, I want to fight. No, no, no, no, no. Right. No, no, no, no. No.
1:15:10Shannon Sharpe:Mike, Mike, what up, big three, for Wilder next fight? Excuse me. How about him and Jake Paul?
1:15:16Chad Johnson:No. Nah, nah.
1:15:18Shannon Sharpe:Nah, because I don't know if he'll play a ride with him like Joshua did. Yeah, nah, I don't want to see that. I watch him fight Joshua. Yeah, I would too. I watch that. Raekwon Howard, hey, Uncle Ocho King, Iso. And still, hello. Uncle Ocho, do you believe Herman Moore should be in the Hall of Fame? Iso, did you ever match up against Flip Murray in the league?
1:15:47Chad Johnson:Yeah, I matched up with Flip. Flip was my teammate at one point here in Atlanta. But I played against Flip when he was playing in Seattle when Ray Allen got hurt. This was 2004, 2005. Ray Allen got hurt. Flip stepped in. And man, averaging about 24, 26 a game. Damn. Yeah, he was getting to that chicken. He was getting to that chicken. He wasn't playing Flip. Flip that game. He can play. He's from Philly. He got some game. Ocho, you believe Herman Moore
1:16:18Shannon Sharpe:should be in the hall? I don't... Do you remember Herm? You remember Herm? He played with Detroit with Johnny Morton. Yeah. Scott Mitchell buried the backfield. Brett Perriman also. Yeah, Scott Mitchell was the quarterback. Scott Mitchell came to you guys, didn't he? Yeah, he sure did. Yep, before Carson got there with Scott Mitchell and John Kidna. yeah I think you should yeah tomorrow is my first family Easter dinner after losing my mama last June any advice since I know you guys have dealt with something similar keep up the good work fellas I don't have any advice since my grandmother passed we ain't had a dinner my grandmother passed in 2015 and we hadn't been together since and there's a great chance we're not going to get together again hey it ain't the same Not obviously if there's, you know, funeral or something like that.
1:17:13Shannon Sharpe:But just get together like how we used to get together.
1:17:16Chad Johnson:Don't happen no more.
1:17:18Shannon Sharpe:Nah. That's over. And I'm sad. But it is what it is. But I knew that. I knew once Granny passed.
1:17:32Shannon Sharpe:Because the connection, you know what I'm saying? Yeah. Because they're coming, okay, grand, grand, you know, and everybody coming together. but there's really everybody's been away so long. Spanky's been away for so long.
1:17:46Chad Johnson:Yeah. It's kind of how it goes.
1:17:50Shannon Sharpe:It's just different. I mean, we used to get together all the time before Sunday. Everybody would come over to Papa's you know.
1:17:57Chad Johnson:Eat. Come back.
1:17:58Shannon Sharpe:Yeah. Yeah, man. It ain't the same. It ain't the same and it's never going to be the same. You understand that. You just you hold on to the memories that you have that you had you realize how special that moments were and I think you take it for granted then because you think this thing gonna be forever you think you know you know you think this thing gonna happen forever I mean you know
1:18:24Chad Johnson:and it go fast too man
