I've seen an interview from the dude Dogface on Vlad, and he was basically saying, like, the people that you think is not paying attention to none of this stuff on the internet, they paying close attention to all of it. They got opinions and the whole little thing. So this just shows it. That's what I've seen. I will say about that, that I am somebody who I scroll past Instagram reels, YouTube videos, et cetera, about myself all the time and don't necessarily engage in like, oh, let's spend an hour watching the downfall of Adam 22, how he ruined his life. This is what Jay did was take all of Drake's content in the entire Iceman album and consolidate into one verse from a personalized perspective for everybody where he got at so many different people that the Drake disses aren't even necessarily the most notable ones. We had Petey Crack in the building. We had the Young Guns in the building. We had Freeway and Beans performing What We Do Is Wrong. with hovan say i would say like pre 99 of the hip-hop audience does not know about any of these things because oxygen was sucked out of the room by him saying anything towards drake let's be real think the hip-hop community know about i disagree with that statement i don't think that anybody knows that they did a reunion that's the first i heard about it okay well i think i think that got overshadowed by the by this moment yeah of course but i mean that was also subtle things like oscino not being included well he does you know on the track yeah he does so you know on the track but even just first before that even happens we're already aware okay there's not not everybody is a part of this there's already a glaring omission and if you dissect the disses this is like there's as much intricacy lyrically and what he did as anything we've heard on a mainstream freestylist album in a fat minute okay but just to interject like i feel like you're arguing that Jay-Z is a deep, talented, lyrical, which we all know.

1:48:25I think that the issue is, can he win a popularity contest, which most rap battles end up devolving into against Drake? And the reason why I feel like that is a fool's errand for him and why I don't really think that Jay is going to take this to the natural, logical extent is because Drake is currently making some of the best music of his career. He just broke a bunch of records dropping these albums, etc. Jay-Z, like people who remember Prime Jay-Z are mostly like my age or older. And a lot of those fans have really kind of like aged out of hip-hop. They're not people who are active hip-hop listeners anymore.

1:49:03And they don't necessarily decide the outcome of this sort of thing. I think a lot of the younger hip-hop fans, imagine how old Jay-Z seems to them. Imagine what a salty old grumpy man he looks like to them. How long of a run do you feel like Jay-Z had? When you define, okay, so. But he transitioned, though. I would say. I agree. I would say 96 to, I would say 20 years, like 21. When was Watch the Throne, 2015? Because 444, which was a huge commercial success and came out after Watch the Throne, by the way, Adam. But I feel like that kind of, as much as that was a popular album. That was out of his prime.

1:49:40I don't really consider that like part of the Jay-Z run, right? I feel like Watch the Throne kind of. I say that's the end. Marks the ending of it. Although I'll give it to you maybe. That came out in 2011, right? Yes. Watch the Throne was like 2011. Yeah, that was it. August 2011. Yeah. And then 4-4-4. Was I think 2017? 2016. Yeah, maybe. 2017. Yeah, 2017. But again, when you become so successful in different business ventures, you know what I'm saying? Like Jay-Z, it'd be hard to... That's like Reed, bro. She ain't put on an album since, what, 15? like when you getting money here and there he got companies and don't companies Drake had to do that I'm not saying that he shouldn't have did that but Jay on the ball you already said I own ball games like you know what I'm saying he got vestments everywhere he 100 million years agencies you know what I'm saying people are not as impressed by him being really really rich as he thinks that we are I think actually the tone of the culture is deep hatred towards billionaires I think he's the epitome And Jay-Z may be, or Drake may be a billionaire, but he don't feel like a billionaire.

1:50:49If anything, he don't talk about it. Well, he's not. He's worth$400 million. I don't believe that at all. But also, I don't believe that Jay-Z is worth$10 billion, which he kind of tries to say in that whole thing. No, he doesn't say that. No, he said 10. No, that's not what he says. He says, yes, I'm worth 10 times. I'm up 10. You're looking at the wrong charts. That's referring to him saying, I'm worth 10 times more than you. Okay, Drake being a billionaire, that would mean that he had$10 billion plus. No, it wouldn't. So if Drake has 400 mil, like it said. Drake is a billionaire. Okay, but let's say it's what it says on the internet.

1:51:21So let's say that's accurate. If you combine J and B's net worth, that's approximately$4 million. We're absolutely not including his wife. Why would you not? Y 'all married. Why would we just change the rules all of a sudden? We've never done this before in hip-hop history. Y 'all unison. Y 'all won. Y 'all got this the same. On the Forbes list, it's Jay-Z. It's not Jay-Z and Beyonce, which i mean that would be great for him if he could do that since you know whoever uh you know when they put rihanna on the top female uh billionaires list it's not like rihanna and rocky well for the sake of a bar though it works i get it but i think he's trying to say he's up 10 billion which i don't i mean he's pretty unrealistic so so so you i feel like in hip hop culture jay-z is this like when you're talking about wealth and success in the story and all i think he's number one.

1:52:08So what you're telling me right now is Drake has surpassed him. When you're talking about the culture, when you're talking about the culture of hip-hop, like the kids, it don't matter their age right now. When you're talking about just hip-hop culture, I felt that Jay-Z was number one. So what you're telling me is right now, you feel like Drake has surpassed... We ain't talking about successful... I'm not even moving. I'm just saying just right now because what he said is Drake is like basically... Well, I'll credit academics for putting these facts out there, but basically on a daily basis, Jay-Z's catalog streams like 8 million streams and Drake will do like 72 million per day.

1:52:44Drake has to pass. Drake's music is literally 10x, which granted he just dropped his album, so I mean it's kind of hard to compare. But I get it with the numbers. You see what I'm saying though, right? I do. I feel like there's an important conversation that a lot of people are neglecting and that is right now despite the fact that people say oh, music doesn't make any money. Music really doesn't matter. like oh we make so much more money through other ventures streaming is more important all these other things the cultural capital that somebody receives from having a relevant record is still very important to the point where even 56 year old jay-z i don't think he's tripping that drake necessarily said the jig is up and this is not really if you really look at it can he compete with drake no but he needs to insert himself in this conversation for a very for a very valid reason because it will affect his overall bottom line when he's dealing with these uh 50 million dollar deals with in corporate mergers i don't think jay-z is gonna bite off a beef that he doesn't think that he can win so if based on the reaction he's gotten so far from coming at drake i don't think he's taking this any further maybe a few little shots on the album but i don't think he's doing the trick there's no jay-z not like us coming no no i don't think so either.

1:53:58Do you think Jay-Z can do a bad like us? Not effectively. But I think that... He can put on a mixtape and still go. He don't have to put on an album. What is a mixtape for Jay-Z?
