In short

Kenny Muney discusses his rise from South Memphis, his 15-year-old shooting and recovery, his relationships with older Memphis figures including Young Dolph and Key Glock, and his views on labels, ownership, and staying independent. He also addresses Memphis travel/safety and touches on issues like “blackballed” dynamics and “Ralo issues,” plus how Dolph’s team handled releases after his death.

Guests

Kenny Muney is the sole guest. The host is No Jumper (interviewer not named in transcript). No other guests appear.

Guest background

South Memphis upbringing; raised with mom and stepdad, no relationship with his biological father. Started going to clubs young, got shot in the arm at 15, later pursued therapy despite no insurance, and credits Dolph with teaching business/radio strategy. He says he’s “Kenny Muney”/“Kenny and Money” from childhood and emphasizes taking care of family early.

Key claims

Dolph helped him understand radio/industry economics (explaining how money is spent) and always stayed accessible. Muney refuses to sign for “money” or status, preferring to learn the business and own his assets (jewelry/names/royalties). He says Memphis supports out-of-towners who aren’t “sweet” or pretending.

Notable examples

“John Clark Y10” as his breakout video; Dolph/Gucci tape as a major career cosign; Dolph’s “whenever you ready” approach; Muney’s arm injury affecting movement; advice to avoid trying to “play street” in other cities.

Meeting people You definitely meet a rich person out here That'd change your whole life Meet some people out here to show you how to get some money Facts Do you prefer a place like this That's sort of filled with opportunities as opposed to being...

2:27Yeah, I like places like this that make me look at shit different. I see shit that I ain't seen. I don't see at home. I like shit that motivate me. I don't like shit where I'm from. I like seeing some shit. Wow, y 'all need to give me some more money. I fuck without her. Nah, that's a fact, yeah. Definitely, like, when I'm in a, you know, quiet-ass town, it just feels like there's just not enough going on here. Like, I'm missing out on the real deal. Yeah. Definitely. You go in houses, you know, cars, my shit, growing up, you see all this shit, you're stuck. I ain't look back since. For sure. When you went back to Memphis, how long you had to sit down?

3:02You said you came. I went straight to Memphis, had my money right, bone straight out. I went back and got this shit over with. That shit wasn't that. So you're out here doing a run, promoting any projects, or are you just out here promoting in general? I'm out here just promoting in general, but I got my project out right now, Kendra McFranklin. Like eight? Exactly right Exactly I see you got the Doll feature on there Yeah I know you got some Yeah tune up right That's an end That was like the Fourth or third track I believe Yeah yeah Are there like A lot of Doll verses left That the P.R.E. Artist Get to sort of Sort out Or is it like Very few left No you did it with me Oh so it's like An established song Yeah I ain't going to No yeah Nah We did it together I've been did this song I just never dropped it I just held it Right You know what I'm saying I just really didn't want To put it out I feel like right now was the right time i just wanted to put it out definitely but is there like an archive of like old verses man he got music out of the world he don't do no record he got plenty he's gonna drop some man dog got something in the albums and still coming this i know it but they haven't put out one since he passed right yeah that's interesting just don't want to overdo it who oversees that though like who's overlooking like golf uh music and stuff that that's dropping And shit.

4:51Daddy-O, his best friend. Shit. Daddy-O, his family. Shit. Right, right. You know, he lived everything. He's kids. You know, he family-oriented. Right, right. Yeah. Definitely. Okay, so this is your first time on here, so I just want to get into a little bit of the backstory. So what area did you grow up in exactly? I grew up in South Memphis. Okay. And what was it like growing up out there? You have both your parents? Yeah, I had both of my parents. I had my stepdad and my mom, but I didn't have my dad. I don't fuck with my dad. Okay. I had my mom and dad. That was really my man. You know what I'm saying?

5:25You've been around him enough to know that you don't fuck with him? My dad? Yeah. Yeah, for sure. Okay. I don't fuck with him. Okay. We two different type of niggas. Okay. Yeah. When's the last time you saw him? I took care of him. Okay. He still caught him. I don't fuck with him like that. I don't see him. He needs something. I send it to him. Make sure he's straight. Okay. Make sure he ain't dead or something he caught. but Keek and the Wooden, we two different type of niggas. I take care of being this. Interesting. Okay. You got keys. One. You take care of them. I don't even keek when my partners don't take care of their keys.

5:58If you don't take care of your keys, I'm not for which. That's why I got no keys. I ain't got no keys yet. But okay, every time I'm in a situation like that where I start to judge somebody that I know for not being in their kid's life, inevitably I always figure out that there's a crazy baby mama who's getting blamed for it. Take care of the kid. Send the money. Money, I agree, yo. Fuck the bitch. Send the money. Right. As long as you know you DJ, Paul. Send the money. Yeah. My mama probably could have been crazy as a motherfucker. Send the money. Yeah. Take care of your kid. Did he try to be around for a little bit at one point?

6:29Or he was just never one? He wanted to kick it. He don't want to take care of business. I don't want to kick it. Take care of business. He only wanted to kick it once you became lit? Nah, he wanted to kick it, Peter. But he wanted to kick it, like, just to kick it, though. He don't want to take care of being like, a nigga got school, you got her clothes, you got shit, you know what I'm saying? You got to teach a son and shit, you got to go play basketball or something. You want to kick it and see what my mama's doing. I ain't with all that. So he was around, but just not there financially. He wasn't around mentally or financially.

7:04He just wasn't a man. No, he wanted to use his kid to surveil the mom. To see what the mom was doing. Quite the rest of it. It's like whatever the woman got, I'm going to fuck with you if I can figure out what your mama got going. If I can't figure out that, then I really ain't got no kicking for you either. I didn't know just this shit earlier. I was like, I'm going to scratch on this shit. How many kids you got? I got none. None? Okay, you're holding out. Because I want to make sure when I have kids, I got time for them. I got what I need for them. I know what I need to do. Yeah. Yeah, I feel like if you ain't ready for it, don't do it.

7:34No, 100%. That's like the number one thing if you want to be successful in life, don't have kids before you're ready. For sure. Yeah. I mean, there's a lot of things, but that's definitely one that stands out to me for sure. Yeah, I ain't doing that shit. If I ain't really, I'm scared on that shit. It shit, hit age, it shit. Nah, I'm scared. Definitely. So what was it like growing up in the area that you grew up in? Were you seeing a lot of wild stuff? Yeah, I ain't grew up seeing nothing but wild shit. I grew up around nothing but wild-ass niggas. They're wild-ass shit. My myth is just a wild-ass place.

8:02You're going to have to grow up fast. You're going to see folks dying fast. I got shot early. You got to get down. you see everything quick. You just, especially the certain environments that I was, like, had to be a part of and I was a part of the shit. I just seen everything super early. I grew up fast. Cause you had jumped up, I seen somewhere you said you jumped up the portion like 12, 13? I've been, I've been, like I said, even though I got my study, I really still the man of the, like, I'm still the man of my family. Like, I got all a sister. So it's like, I jumped off ASAP. It's great to take care of my family Buying shit for my Sisters Nieces Mama just You know what I'm saying I just got straight To handle the business Early What was the situation Cause uh Then you said you got shot When you was young too At like 15 I was at the club At the Y-Side Been going Going to the club Having fun Kicking shit with my folks Man they shooting the club Shit like that I ended up getting shot Early Yeah Like back then Back then Going to the club And shit Was normal At 15 At 15.

9:07Yeah. That shit normal. Right. That shit was normal. Like, that's what we were doing. Go to the club, go to the skating rink. That shit was normal. Like, motherfuckers not waiting till they get right in there. Like, have them turned up now. These, hey, like, nah, these, we've been turned up way back then. I had a club owner tell me one time that if the cops raided the place and found an underage kid in the club that they would get fined, like, 20 grand or some shit. Which, to me, that's like, oh, that's why they're checking the fuck out of your ID when you're going in there. I wasn't having to get my ID checked.

9:38I was turned. Like, they wanted to think about no IDs. It's like, y 'all let everybody with them in. Like, let them in. They weren't checking no ID. They didn't give it down. Right. But if something would happen, they would have for sure shit this shit down. Yeah, yeah. Like, even the club I got shot at, they made it a big deal. They shit that motherfucker down. But were you like, you were getting in there because you were just tapped in with so many older dudes that are going in there and spending money? Yeah, it's all the hung around with old folks, yeah. Yeah. Like even when I was a young nigga, I was just looking at an old picture.

10:08I was going to the club with Dolph when I was young as hell. Like I've been going to the club forever. Like we was just doing shit, bro. Yeah. Just outside. Wherever it was going on and shit, we pulling up deep. Shit, we popping up too. They know young niggas popping up. They coming out. Why do you think you were able to like form relationships with older dudes who were actually doing shit so early? Because I got down. I ain't going to lie. I'm like a sponge, like shit. If I see, I want to know where the money, how to make the money, what's going on. So I just learned from, I let the streets raise me.

10:43You know what I'm saying? Just let the streets raise me. I made my own decision with certain shit. So what age did you actually get tapped in with Delft though? I actually got tapped in with him, like locked in with him. I probably was like 20. Oh, okay. But you were around him way before that? Yeah, I used to see him all the time. I always was around him. Like I said, we used to go out, run into him, see him coming through the hood. Like, my best friends, couple of my best friends from the sign hoods, and I'm like, we just were young. He always coming through turned up. You know what I'm saying?

11:15So I always seen him, but as far as locking in with him is when I started, like, like I started really doing my thing, really getting money, really trying to rap and doing shit. Like, he embraced it. Like, I fuck with him. Like, I want to fuck with him. Do you remember, like, really seeing Dolph's come up? Because I feel like Dolph really started to blow up in maybe, like, 2013 or some shit like that, right? Like, was he already, like, super successful by the time you got around him? Put it like this. He was, by the time I was, like, look, I was around him looking up to him, like, arms reached to him.

11:51He been turned up to me because I'm from Memphis. So, like, to turn up the child scene. Yeah. Like, he bend that to us because it's like you can do the smallest shit around there. It's like it's big as hell to us. And shit, it just was major to us. Like, man, he coming through even when, like, y 'all see camo cars and goddamn all that. I remember Porsches and goddamn, I remember Porsches and motherfucking Cadillacs and shit. Like, two-door Cadillacs and shit. Like, I looked up to that shit. I looked up to when he was wearing the 1PRE gold trying not when he started wearing y 'all probably they they know about the blue shit they know about the but you got that hard people who know about who look back and be like yeah I was I remember dog being like this like this but I'm saying I remember watching like damn bro this might come up from zero this might come up from shit right who's shooting these videos with big ass polo shirts on and hats and shit and we going to the club he got the whole club going crazy and shit like I feel like I got tapped in when he dropped the first tape with Gucci.

12:55I feel like probably a lot of people got tapped in with that right there. That was like a huge cosign that kind of took him to a different level. And then I remember Gucci crashed out like a year later. That was Bill the late to Nova. So that was late? Yeah, he was late. Because in Memphis, he was already making noise. He benturned. Flav was all this type of shit. He had all the type of shit. He benturned. He had the clubs on lock down there. Yeah, Deshaun Lock. Clubs Radio, Deshaun Lock. That's how we kind of like connected like that though because my journey and how I did the shit, I came the same way.

13:31Like, I came exactly the same way. I came, turned myself, buying my own whips, buying jewelry, goddamn tapping in with the DJs myself, tapping in with the clubs, doing my own shows, getting my own shows, book managing myself, goddamn answering phone calls, all this show, doing all this shit, download myself. with the team I had around me, but I was doing it myself, and I turned through this while he respected and fucked with me like that. Because the ground was really to go to the clubs and spend a lot of money and, like, make it be known and have a presence in the clubs, and that's how y 'all was kind of, like, gaining y 'all emotion, right?

14:05Somewhat. No, it was just being yourself, and folks are just gonna fuck with you. Yeah. Really, really wasn't no, like, it wasn't no method to it, because everybody tried the method, and it ain't work for everybody. It's like, niggas just being themselves, being turned in the streets already, rapping about shit you're really living that people can like you know what I'm saying respect and feel goddamn traveling getting booked for shows in these country ass places little clubs going in there turning up not scared you know what I'm saying having a it's like people just fucking with you like and that's how the shit end up bigger it's like you really just gotta be yourself you think you still need to be outside like that or can you because now we're kind of used to like if somebody's really interested in the drop of music video and it's like all of a sudden just everybody in the whole world is just it's a whole different ballgame yeah you ain't gotta do you you ain't gotta you can be flawed you don't even gotta be telling the truth about nothing you ain't gotta be you can just they like you they like you there's a lot of rappers who pop off that realistically would never be like the lit dude in the club for sure you know they're just like they might have like an internet persona but it's probably not translating but i feel like it really is safe.

15:18It's safer. She's just like, I ain't gonna lie. I ain't against that either because there's another thing that the dog taught me. It's like, just like how you saying, bro, I seen it from here, then I seen it from here, then I seen it from here. It's like another thing he taught me. It's like, bro, I don't give a fuck to go to no club no more now. I don't care to go be in the club or I go if I got to and do my thing, but I like touring and shit now. Like, I go be, I go stand on the stage untouched and nothing like and rap out and get my money like that. I like touring and shit too. It just levels the head thing.

15:48Nah, definitely. All this shit fine, bro. Yeah, nah, definitely. But so, okay, were you like 15 and you were meeting Dolph and you're just like kind of realizing like, oh, I need to figure my shit out as a rapper because that's going to be what like actually gets me into a better position in terms of this. Hell yeah, he made me feel like it was possible. Like, shit, hell yeah. You getting all this money, you doing all this, damn the third. I done seen my niggas in the hood get money and I see they go that way. Or they go that way. You go to jail, you die, you this, you that. I just ain't a motherfucker getting one in the hood and go to the top.

16:21Shit, I'm finna follow that route. I'm going up. But did you, like, kind of go and figure it out on your own as opposed to just being like, yo, help me figure this out? I went and figured it out on my own first. When I went and figured it out on my own, whatever I didn't understand, I still could call and say, hey, bro, even though I don't want to do it y 'all way, I'm doing it my way, but I slick need some help. I need to know something. Hey, how do this? What this mean, what that mean, he going to give me the answer. That's why I fucked with him. Like, out of all the people that were trying to fuck with me when I was coming up, I fucked with him because he didn't give a fuck if I wanted to be on some paper route shit or not.

16:57I'm going to fuck with you anyway because I fuck with what you got going on. I remember I had my rock still, like, I had to get down. I called him. This is the DJ, right? He's back in the day, but he working with the radios and all that. when I was coming up got a damn rock I'm like man damn bro I want to get a song on the radio I'm right to rock like 10 ,000 I called that dog and I'm like hey bro they said I get this right here that right here that for this I'm like what this man it might say on the phone he broke all this shit down let me know everything that I spent my money on why it's like I fucked with that bro he ain't got to do that he's like bro he could've been like bro you ain't got to do all this sign to me I take it he was like nah I'm going to break it down so he can learn this shit now I know I ain't got noticed while I be chilling.

17:42I don't be chasing no deals and shit. I know what to do. But Dolph must have believed in you to some extent even at that time because realistically he's probably not sitting on the phone explaining that shit to someone unless he really believes that they got some kind of potential. Yeah. For sure. He's in our D.C. I ain't gonna lie. He's saying that for real. Was that your only option of like who you wanted to sign to? Because it seemed like I didn't want to sign nobody. You didn't want to sign? But I didn't want my own like everybody was trying to sign me. Anybody. Everybody, every person. Like even all the Memphis artists.

18:12All the Memphis artists. Not everyone, though. I don't know. Did you already have... I wasn't going. You already had videos blowing up and everything, or was it before even all that? I was turned up already. I was doing what I was doing. They wanted to fuck with me. I ain't want to fuck with nobody. I didn't want to genuine. And I ain't want to fuck with nobody about no money. I want to fuck with somebody who's going to help me figure this shit out. What was the first song that popped up for you? Where it was like, all right. Mine was John Clark Y10. Young Trap nigga. that was the first time that just out of here I turned to a quick I remember shooting I got a high speed chase that day and then I had so much shit going on just to shoot that video but then more of a end up making millions of views like hey it be shit like that that I be remembering bro that made me like man I really to this day when I shoot videos I don't even think too hard to be like what I need to get done bro I shoot this shit like it like shit cause my first video I shot that motherfucker like it wasn't nothing I had to be myself So when I did that Dropped that bitch And most of them I started turning up I started getting booked My different people Flying me here Flying me They're trying to Give me the sign I don't like the numbers I'm going home I don't like what you're Talking about I'm finna roll I'm Keep going up Tell them I'm gonna do this Start buying this Buying G-Wag Is doing all this I'm turned up I'm doing what I'm doing This way before Dog Man I was doing what I was doing I remember Dog was the only person who the whole ride out was like, whenever you ready to let me know.

19:43Yeah. Like, whenever no forceful shit, he respected it. And that's why it made you want to sign with him, because you want y 'all to force your hand. You want y 'all to force me to shit. And my wife, bro, I don't care what you do, how you do it. I'm with you. Because you was already, like, best friends or hanging out with Key Glock, at least, right? Yeah, my best friend. We all ready how we is. Yeah. How'd you actually start hanging out with Key Glock? Man, Glock got down. We just saw him in for John Neagle. We ended up going to the same schools. We got down. Had the same girls skating rins. Like, these my real from the bottom.

20:13Real partner. Like, real friend. Like, no rap shit. No, none of that shit. Like, did you like all my partners? Every person you ever see me with on my videos. In both of our videos, we got the same. Except the people who left behind. But we got all my partners. My partners 10, 12 years plus. You know what I'm saying? Same shit. I grew up with everybody. I'm around. I fuck with everybody. I'm around. in July with that was like I grew up watching it's like everything about me and my life is home I'm to myself and I like home shit you feel it's interesting that you basically like went and did all these other label meetings and then finally ended up kind of like coming home to a situation that probably felt a lot more comfortable because I feel like there was like in the 90s and shit it's like people were just dying assigned to a Diddy or a Jay Z or whatever And then now you fast forward to these days and you see people talking about signing to big name rappers like that's an L like, oh, no, I'll never want to sign to a to an artist because if I sign to an artist, I'm never going to be as big as that artist.

21:15Like, did you have some of that stuff going on in your head at that time? No, I ain't gonna lie. I ain't never had it. I like I do numbers, bro. And I got down. I ain't like how you one of y 'all just had me about like when I was hanging around older people. Like what made me be like, bro, I ain't gonna lie. If you know something, if you, we can get off this motherfucker right now and you can tell me like, yeah, bro, I be fucking with houses or I be fucking with this, I'm going to sit there and I'm going to talk to you about it because that's how I get my money. Like, I listen. I don't give a fuck who's bigger, who's my money.

21:45Where the money at? So I never look there. I don't want to sign to no artist or nothing because I ain't going to be bigger than them. I don't care about being bigger than you. I want to learn some shit and go be the biggest me. So that ain't no one that was my thing. I don't sign. If I ain't signed to a nigga, you either fuck nigga, I don't like the business you're doing I don't respect you well god damn it just don't make sense to me it's the only thing that can stop me I don't sign people for who they are I sign people or what they can do I sign people for where they heart it and if they fuck with what I got going on for real right cause like the logic the thing that's wrong logically with the idea of like oh no I'm gonna sign to Atlantic Records not this rapper that really wants to help guide my career is that like you're just, you're more likely to get lost in the shuffle being signed to a major label.

22:32Whereas if you sign to a rapper who only got a couple artists that he's been fucking with throughout his whole career, he's probably got more energy and time to put into helping you develop. You ain't going on the bookshelf quick. You go straight trying to sign these big places because you got your first song and they trying to turn you up and they give you, they might give you two million or something and it's your last two you might see in your ass, but it'll make it stretch. Because if you don't keep going if you fuck up your flop man your ass hit I've seen a lot of artists where the A &R hit me up and said yo we signed this fool we gave him a million dollars and then I never hear about him again not one thing exactly and it's just like what happened to that like what kind of business is this if you're just giving people a million dollars I got advice for folks like that though bro cause in reality that's why I was saying the thing with me was never I don't want to sign because of the money I don't want to sign because I want to learn this shit, bro.

23:26Learn the business. It's just like right now, if I go sign, if I sit down, I also want to be caught. I'm like, fuck it. Come on, give me all this money y 'all trying to get me. When I finally accept the money they're trying to get me, I know what I'm doing. I know that I'm still going to have an independent mind state. I got a goddamn, my glass of playing priest, I'm telling you, man, I know that goddamn, I got to still act independent. They give me$10 million, I'm going to go take my 10, and I'm finna invest in myself and I'm finna still turn my career I can't leave it up to nobody I can't motherfuckers give you a million dollars and I can't get put on the show for my money I'm gonna show that ass I'm like take my money I'm gonna do what I do with it you can't put me on the show but you wouldn't learn it if you didn't I ain't sit down with Dolph I wouldn't know I ain't sit down with Daddy I ain't sit down with my team I wouldn't know all the shit I know of how to you know what I'm saying this is like Glock Glock signed the major shit I'm learning from him I'm asking hey bro what's the difference how these go da da da da you put me down showing me like, bro, you can't.

24:24Some people just can't be fucked with because we know too much shit now, bro. So I'm just still learning, bro. I learned all the way around the board. That's all I want to do is learn. Gotti tried to sign you ever? Because it seemed like everybody was either signing to Gotti or Dolph at one point. Like the whole Memphis either signed to Gotti or Dolph at that point. Everybody tried to sign me. Word. So that was never like even an option for you though? Everybody tried to sign me. Yeah. Everybody wanted to sign me. Everybody wanted to have a conversation. Everybody wanted to do something. They wanted to talk about what I was talking about.

24:52They wanted to And Dolph was really just making it make sense for you. It wasn't enough. It was not enough. I didn't want it with no little boy shit, no flogging shit, no facade shit. I wanted to do what's best for me. And I went with this. It wasn't a him or him or this or that. It's, I'm doing what I do. You want to come in or what I'm coming in, what I got going on. What you talking about? I ain't talking about shit. I'm finna go on about my business. Dolph, it was never a uh, uh, uh. it was always a damn Dolph always here no matter what hey Def Jam god damn where the fuck wanna sign me when it's all said and done Atlantic wanna sign me these people wanna sign me these AM not calling this person Dolph always a call away hey what this they send me this contract bro what this mean ah what this mean he gonna tell me what it mean he don't give a fuck he ain't gonna say man fuck this shit dog he gonna say shit this what that mean what you wanna do what you think about it.

25:53Shit. So it wasn't nothing where I ain't finna sign to no North Memphis because it seemed like North Memphis, South Memphis, and everybody stick together type shit. Nah, it wasn't, it wasn't never no shit where no niggas were, bruh, it's like when it's, when I'm talking about anybody trying to sign me, it always was about who fuck with me genuinely and I know who fuck with me genuinely, you feel me? But I ain't never. But it's gotta also be about like what their plan appears to be or how dedicated you feel like they are to pushing your career? And, like, you just felt like they had more commitment in that regard?

26:28I didn't pick. I just didn't think it. It didn't move me. Nothing nobody was talking about was moving me. It didn't move. It didn't that. Whatever anybody told me they wanted to do for me, I feel like I can go do it myself. And the only thing that somebody brought to me that I couldn't go do myself is, I want to learn with you. I want to teach you as I go. And nobody else come like that. And nobody else keep it real and say, I don't mind. We finna figure this shit out together. But my folks. Because if you sign to a major, they want you to have no idea what they're doing and then just believe.

27:01Propose to somebody right now. But that your success is all because of these mysterious things that they're doing that you couldn't possibly understand. You're not smart enough to understand this stuff so just trust us. We got you. And that's what Movo tried to tell me. They tried to tell me don't worry about how we're gonna do it. We're gonna do it. I ain't with it. I wanna worry about how we're gonna do it. You ain't got me fucked up. You ain't dressing me up Buying me Giving me shit Making shit look good I ain't with none of that I want to know what it is If I got a car This shit is my shit I want to buy my own shit I want to own my jewelry I want to own what I got I want to know my whole I want to know my whole Journey That's what make this shit fun You said I want to own my jewelry You're referring that There are rappers in Memphis Who do not own their jewelry It's on rent It's on layaway These motherfuckers Don't own their life They don't own their names around this bitch.

27:51Oh, Lord. Niggas don't even know what a royalty chick look like. Niggas couldn't tell you what they motherfuckers was. I personally, I can't knock people for their own situation. Some people needed that. Some people needed to go to the rest. They go, I'm a hustler, bro. I don't need certain shit. I'm going to be straight regardless if I rap or not. I'm going to be rich anyway. For sure. Who do you think was teaching Dolph the game? Like, because he's giving the game back to y 'all. He tell you all the time. Daddy are talking the game. Shit. And they learned together. Shit, they kept going. Shit.

28:17and I still got one of my coaches right now. You know what I'm saying? So, I can't lose. Like, I ain't gonna, I can't lose, bro. Shit easy, bro. Shit really easy, bro. That's why she really, my mind thangs, I have fun, bro. I have fun with this shit. The money gonna come. It come anytime. Money gonna come, and you ain't got to do no, but keep being there still. Living, having fun. So, you actually enjoying the rap shit, because some people, like, they get on. I enjoy hustling. I don't care about the rap shit. I'm hustling. I'm rap hustling. Yeah. I don't like rap right there, bro. I like making music, talking my shit, touching people, making folks feel where I'm coming from, making folks feel that somebody where I'm at, understand where you at.

28:55Like, I like that part of it. As far as being a rapper, I could carry less about this shit. What you don't like about being a rapper? The attention. I don't like attention like that. I like to be, from what I, how I grew up on the shit I had to do to get my money and do what I do in life, I just want to be, I don't used to being low key, so it's just like right now, I'd be having to go I'd be having to come out of my shell and do what I do but in reality it's like I would prefer to be at the house counting my motherfucking money fucking one of these bitches and goddamn doing what I do this I mean a lot of rappers kind of seem like their motivation is basically like being treated like a king and they just want to be sort of like carried through this business we kings before we rapping they just don't know you put you a king regardless I'm just saying you seem like you have more like a overall business mentality where you just are more interested in the money, more interested in figuring out the business rather than just singly having that rapper lifestyle.

29:53Yeah, I care more about the business. I care more about the money, but I mainly care more about showing people is other ways to do to get out here and be what you want to be. Do what you want to do. Get out the streets. Do this. I just like touching motherfuckers. Like that, too. It used to just be about the money But then as I started getting Like I said started touring and seeing What I'm saying people really Dissecting that shit It ain't just about the money It's about shit I got a Motherfucker watching me Motherfucker look up to me I got a goddamn shit I like touching him I watch what I say now I say certain shit I think people need dirt I care more about that I ain't gonna lie I don't care about that shit I don't care if he ain't number 5 motherfuckers listening to me.

30:39I'm gonna make sure I talk enough shit for them five motherfuckers. I'm gonna try to make them millionaires. I know what time I'm wrong. That's why I creep out. Definitely. So how much did your life change and like what did you start doing differently once you signed to PR? I'm gonna tell you the main thing I started doing differently. I started recording mode for sure. I started. It's like down there like they put me in the gym, gave me a basketball and said, shoot the main jumpers as you can. That's the main thing. My work ethic started. My work ethic went from one foot in, one foot out to put both of your feet in this motherfucking lock in.

31:20There's one, two goddamn just like I said, more diverse fan base, more like starting to have to mind what I rap about, what I talk about, like get more in debt with it. You know what I'm saying? You and my brand a little bit more Cause that one time He like when I talk about The streets He like when I talk about This then But he always Remind me like Bro you Versatile as hell Boy you can talk about Anything like Get in your bag Like that's what I started doing Too Like that's what When I be doing My little one twos On my songs I get to talk about Other shit I ain't always gotta Talk about Kid kid Shoot shoot Trap trout I talk about Plain other shit I get in my bag I got there from I think when I got With brother It made me be like Tap more to what I be wanting my my substance.

32:07Yeah, the substance is what I like to talk about now. Definitely. Yeah, because I feel like a lot of people don't really like talk about their life in its entirety. They just kind of feel like the only thing that they can rap about is the street shit and the street side of things. Nah, you got to talk about mine. Tell somebody I go get some money. Yeah. I ain't gonna lie. Go get the money. There's one mine thing, bro. You know what I'm saying? Like, shit, I don't give a fuck what you coming in when you're in the problem or anything. You coming in and tell mine your bitch shit or whatever you're gonna say I go get the money.

It's like It ain't no label shit It's like It's brothers It's family It's like Oh we A motherfucker Gonna Being with my brothers Being with my folks That's all it's gonna do Is just make you be Gonna keep you turned to Keep you wanna go Get some money Keep you motivated To keep That's the main thing That change bro Like Did your mom and everybody Always believe in you When you was pushing the rap shit I'm fucking believing My mom don't believe Anything I gotta do I ain't gonna lie I've been showed Them before we were out But I don't care I was shooting dice I leave home $10 I'm coming home with 10 ,000 like young like don't fall down give a fuck what I do they like whatever he do he know what he doing go do it I already said you tell a story when you had got shot your mom told you she wasn't gonna come see you yeah she wasn't with none of this shit like all this bullshit in the plan she's like you bullshit you on your own you play you on your own my sisters see I'm the youngest all my sisters they like you know whatever you do just come over here if she put you out come over here.

34:34So I was like, man, shit, I'm going to do what I do. But my mom is probably believing in me to be somebody. Like my name was Ken and Money before I was Ken and Money. Like my mom been calling me Ken and Money. My sister never been calling me Ken and Money. Like I've been Ken and Money before I was Ken and Money. My last name was I ain't called his money. I was born to be what I am. So your mom was pressuring you to be somebody. Yeah, she wasn't going to let me be nothing but somebody. She ain't raising no, like I said, like my dad and all this shit, like I wasn't never going gonna be like that like i'm gonna be something she made sure i was gonna be something you know definitely so okay just to rewind a little bit though like how much did it change your life when you got shot when you were 15 what was the story with that my shit when i got shot bruh my thing i got shot bruh where you get shot at i got shot in my arm so my mind time i got shot in my arm bruh like i couldn't they motherfucker damn there was i'm gonna give you another inside about my arm bro my arm i got shot in this motherfucker you want to know how i shoot videos i try to do what i do but like i really can't even move this bitch like i want to you feel me but they told me i wasn't gonna be able to move that motherfucker i ain't listening to none of it like i'm trying i'm therapy i'm this i'm that that's why like i said that's why i was talking about when i got this tattooed the luminosity like this is my sacrifice like brad could have lost this motherfucker so that's the one you got during the dirty glow bastard yeah i got this joint so like my it's like, bro, when I got shot, this shit just woke me up.

36:04Be like, bro, you straight now. You good. Like, you might, like, fight through whatever you got going. Shit, I went through. I ain't, I couldn't, I was in the cast. I had my heart, my shit was balled up like this. Like, couldn't move it like this for a long ass time. And I was like, bro, I'm finna find a therapist, bro. I'm finna figure this shit out. I ain't got no insurance, no nothing. But I'm finna figure this shit out. And shit, I'm young. Going to therapy, figuring this shit out. We, man, you motherfucker, I can move it a little bit now. Cool. I can get my money with it. definitely that's why I treated everything like that bro bro how long ago was it you were like 15 so this was a long time ago and you still feel like you're just getting the feeling back of being able to fully use it this motherfucker just like he's raining he's raining and shit like look you can feel it I can feel it yeah like my nerves I had nerve damage so when you get shot up here I had nerve damage you can't move the motherfucker I went and got a little surgery where I can at least extend it's enough for me you know what I'm saying right I don't care what you going through bro man figure something out man keep it pushing.

37:01That's what's trying for me. They right there trying to make me be like, bro, I don't give a fuck. What I got going, keep pushing. Did that make you more empathetic to people who have disabilities or have lost use of a limb or some shit? You might have never really thought about it before that, but that shit makes you think about how well I'm dealing with. Yeah, I ain't gonna lie. I see motherfuckers who got down, got disabilities, going through little shit. I be like, man, damn, bro, it's a strong person. They strong as hell. They strong. You got motherfuckers. I got a big friend right now. He in the wheelchair.

37:30He paralyzed from a guy down. He can't move his legs, but he got all this upper mind. That man don't want you to help him. He don't want you to push him. He don't want you to do none of this shit. He's strong. He's strong. You know what I'm saying? He don't give a fuck about it. He don't want you to do nothing for him. Like, people who go through shit and got disabilities, they more headstrong than anybody because they got to use their brain because they can't use certain things. I respect them more than a lot of motherfuckers who got both arms, both legs, both ears, both eyes, and don't do a damn thing, lay on their mama couch all day.

37:59Yeah. Because there's like a guy I don't get along with who has a non-operational arm and I've made fun of him a lot for it. And then one of my homies blew his fucking hand off with a firework. And I'm like, oh shit. So much of the shit that I previously said looks super hypocritical now that that happened. I mean, this show, I ain't got no sympathy for the ops though. I ain't got no sympathy for the ops though. I ain't got no sympathy for the ops. We'll go on with doing this. It's not even what it is. Yeah, you're kind of a demon, though. If an ob lost his hand, you're making jokes about it. You're going to find a way to rub some salt in the wound, I'm guessing.

38:39I don't make jokes. No? I don't make no jokes, but I don't give a fuck about your hand. Fuck your hand, though. Fuck you and your hand, but I ain't going to make no jokes about you. I don't make jokes. I don't play. But if it's for sure, fuck you and your hand, though. Well, you got to watch out for those fireworks, because then we got another homie from Chicago who almost the exact same thing happened to him, except it didn't blow the fingers off. he just has like the whole shit is just open. Crazy. Same day. I don't think it came from, I don't think it's from that though. It ain't your fault.

39:07Fuck them fuck. No, it ain't my fault. I'm just saying like you feel like it's your fault because you were trolling him. No, I just felt hypocritical that I like made so many jokes about somebody having a fucked up arm and then all of a sudden my friend got like half a hand missing. I don't make jokes. So whatever happens to me, if I don't like it, something happens to your I ain't gonna make no joke about you, but shit. It's always still a fuck what you got going, fuck what happened. Fuck you. I feel it. Man, Memphis got a crazy reputation, man. Niggas are scared to go to Memphis. Is it like that, like that?

39:38Memphis series. What's it like going to Memphis for like, all right, if someone had never been to Memphis before, would you advise them to go where it's safe and cool for them to travel? Keep it all the way funky with you, to be honest with you, bro. Memphis, bro, you go to Memphis and you fuck with who you fuck with and you, Memphis really fuck with people, bro. Like, Memphis niggas, you're like me, bro. I fuck with people, bro. Ain't no, bro, Memphis people fuck with people, bro. It'd be like, if you come down there and you acting all sweet and being all flamboyant, you in trouble, but, man, if a Memphis nigga, your fan, or these folks, like, Memphis people, like, I feel like I see, not only we produce great-ass artists, we break artists, too.

40:18Like, we support. Them folks fuck with out-of-towners, bro. They don't fuck with people in the town sometimes, They fuck with out of towners, bro. They don't fuck with out of towners who sweet. If you sweet, they can smell it. They can see it on you. Other than that, motherfucker, go down there, be yourself. Turn up. You a singer, go down there and sing. You a rapper, go down there and rap. Go do your thing. They gonna fuck with you. They gonna show up for you. They gonna spend their money. They gonna get fresh. They gonna pop out. They gonna have fun. You go down there. You a rapper, but you wanna be a street nigga?

40:47If you ain't that street, they gonna try you. Go down there. You know you a dancing motherfucker, but you wanna go to the trenches? and they gonna make ass dance like shit. Let's say you're a rapper from out of state. You don't know anybody in Memphis. You got jewelry. You're not at the level where you have security and shit like that. Should you not just be like going to the touristy restaurants and hanging out? You can go out to eat, bro. You can go out to eat. You can go to the places where you can go out and do little shit, bro. You can maneuver through Memphis without, bro. Folks be trying to put a black eye on the city, but in reality bro, our city, you can go to Memphis and do your thing.

41:25You get out of bounds. It's on you though. Like, niggas ain't just you go out of bounds motherfucker calling. They out of bounds. Mother of calling. Ah, this person out of bounds. They out of bounds. You shouldn't be able to get caught. You might not have security, but go stay at a hotel. They got good security, guy. Go to places that, you know what I'm saying? Stop trying to be street. Mother of those are trying to be street. There's a lot of talk about like checking in in LA but the reality is that there's only like certain things that you might want to do where you really shouldn't be thinking about that I just told a bitch this the other day bro I've been coming to LA since I was a child bro I just told you I've been coming since a child don't be wearing all these jewelry don't be this bro if you sweet you sweet it's like what is you doing I ain't never not wear my jewelry never not nothing bro I ain't bother nobody bro and the motherfucker don't need to bother me motherfuckers only bother motherfuckers who trying to be in the mix I ain't trying to be in the mix I ain't trying to hang out and trying to nothing gangsters respect it gangsters respect gangsters don't nobody respect people who trying to portray something that they not you go check in because you trying to go do something around these folks that you bro these ain't your folks these ain't your friends these ain't your nothing so like I got old heads out here I got folks I fuck with gang banging all that they don't give a fuck if I don't call and check in and let them know I'm here they don't give a fuck if I need them they gonna come they gonna answer but Bro, you checking in And you doing all that Memphis, bro You ain't gotta check in You might get You might check in And gonna get checked out Cause the person you checking in We finna put you in the blender Like I'm over there Go do your job, bro If you If you made it out of your city Out the trenches Don't go to the next city Trying to go to the trenches I didn't make it out the trenches In Memphis to go To LA, Chicago Just to go Playing in they trenches What the fuck I'm doing that for, bro But even outside the trenches Though, like So that's what got y 'all in Memphis Like outside the hotel that's not that's downtown but you hanging with Sauce my nigga bro you really guess what at the end of the day niggas around you got shit going on yeah shit just going on I don't hang with niggas that's why I'm always with bro I don't hang with niggas bro I hang with my niggas bro like if Sauce got a show Sauce pull up do your show bro these niggas wanna fuck with you sometimes bro it's just like like I was just saying about when I'm saying like bro I fuck with niggas from the train I like I don't fuck with nothing but niggas from the trenches.

43:49But I'm saying about the part of, bro, some people make it they business to be like, I got to get, tap in with this or tap in with that and be like, bro, you don't even know what you tapping in. You didn't grow up with these folks. You don't know nothing about these folks. If these folks pull up on me, if I run into a motherfucker, they going to fuck with me because how I fuck with them, I ain't shaking on. I'm saluting a nigga. We can do whatever. We can talk about whatever we own, whatever. But I'm not going to put myself in the environment. I didn't leave from what I came from to put myself in an environment to go trying to be cool in a niggahood.

44:18And they inherit other niggas' beefs and shit like that. And they inherit other niggas' beefs. Yeah, this is how shit happened, bro. Nah. That's why shit, a lot of niggas don't fuck with me because they feel like I can't fuck with him because he fuck with it because I don't want to pick size on this and that and the third. But like, bro, we are rappers, gang. Leave this shit on some rap shit, bro. This ain't, you don't got it in here. Nothing I got going, we rap, bro. Like, some people don't know how to just... It do seem like Memphis divided. Like, certain niggas don't want to do songs. Is it still like that?

44:46Like that's the vibe right now? This shit like that period. It's like that where niggas don't do songs with niggas. My motherfuckers feel like you want to play the rap. They just feel like, man, them niggas just stay to theyself. That's how I'm seeing it. I don't got a few bros niggas who, man, from the biggest to the smallest rappers, man, these niggas see me, they salute me, they shake my hand, they on my page, they in my likes, they in my stories, they these. Them niggas ain't trying to do no song with me, bro. But I feel like certain niggas just feel like, man, I ain't going to do no song with them because I got to keep this rap relationship with that rap relationship.

45:16They're like, bro, do your thing, bro. That shit might matter to them. I never looked at you like, because you fuck with them, I don't want to fuck with you. You ain't from Memphis, guy. You don't got to pick and choose. But if you choose to pick and choose, it's on you. It don't make me feel no way either. But if somebody privately fucks with you and you guys are real cool, but then publicly, he would never want to take a picture, he would never want to do a song, etc. Do you consider that real or do you consider that kind of fake? I don't fuck with it. I don't fuck with it. I don't hit niggas up.

45:47Damn, bro, you acting like this. I don't say shit about this shit, bro. This shit don't move me. I'm going to be trying to without you. I don't be studying this shit. But it's a lot of that going on. It's a lot of that going on. Like niggas like what a nigga got going. Fuck with what a nigga got going. I ain't finna help what you got going. I ain't finna do that because I look at it like a nigga be scared bro, I ain't gonna lie, I don't know if you're scared of what I can do where it's gonna go or I don't know if you're scared to lose your rap relationship, I don't give a fuck to be honest bro, I was taught to go get the money, shit I thought y 'all was in this shit to go get the money, shit I make good movies you make good movies, you a real nigga, I'm a real nigga shit let's go get the money man, if you don't fuck if I don't fuck with somebody that you fuck with guess what y 'all best friends, y 'all these, y 'all that like if this relationship is cost that then it's cool I ain't I ain't move they don't move me we ain't gotta fuck with each other how you feel about like buying features you ain't with that or buying features yeah like you're buying features mine ain't gonna lie to you bro I don't give a fuck about that either cause bro me even though I'm turn and I know my numbers my numbers bro I got way more love than niggas who got bro numbers ain't shit really sometimes bro like I got way more love and more fans than niggas who do numbers but guess what I don't feel like if I need you on something I want you to do something to make you move I give you some money bro I'm a business man I need this shit done I don't want you to do it On your time When you feel like it You doing me a favor Like bro I gonna pay you To gonna get this shit Out the way bro I don't look at this Buying the future I look at this buying My time Your time Let's get to this money Whatever I put into it I do numbers It's coming back I'm cool with it I don't even tripping So you will ask A rapper for a future though Cause some You know some niggas Be like man I ain't got no Pride If I fuck with your music I like what you doing I like what you got going I'ma salute you I'ma tell you I like this song I listen to all music I listen to everything that drop anything that drop I listen to all that shit you feel me I ain't got no problem telling you how you hard but you hold your nuts on me I'ma hold mine on you too though I ain't know ain't none of that going on either I'ma let you know I fuck with you cause that's how that just shows who the real nigga in the situation I know you fuck with me too but you ain't gonna say it unless you see me you know what I'm saying you an I see a nigga make a mistake and watch a nigga story or make it, you know what I'm saying?

48:12I'm seeing all that. It's crazy because like, I've seen a lot of people fall out over one person, ask the other person for a feature and then they try to charge them and then they just get so offended that that's just the end. I can't wait for you to tell me something so I can go on, man, come on, brother. Get this shit out the way. I'm independent. I will talk about a bitch. Man, here, bro. Get this shit out the way. I got shit to do. Especially like when you're around really successful people and you realize that a day in the life of one of these big name rappers is very valuable. Like they have a whole different array of things that they could choose during a day.

48:45Shooting a music video might take bare minimum three, four, five hours. They got to get dressed. They got to get their people together. They got to get security or whoever their team is going to be occupied that day, et cetera. Once you start putting all those things into place, giving somebody 20 K for a feature doesn't really seem that crazy. Some cold shit. I tried to pay no for a feature. He just told me, no, I paid for it I got a song I did with Dove Before I was signed to Dove I took to the radio station I paid for the radio station He told me I'm going to give you your money back We arguing about this type of shit I want to spend my money I tried to pay Dove for the feature He like bro, hell nah I ain't going to charge you I paid for the video I'm trying to take my money out of my pocket to pay for the video He like bro you ain't got to pay for the video I want to spend my money Because I respect I respect time bro Like There's some money bro Let's We finna spend some money Let's make some money You doing me a favor here bro Like let's Let's make this shit good business I don't respect Niggas Who Goddamn Sit up and Be like Man I was gonna do it I wanna fuck with you I wanna this They ain't gonna say it to you I just know You know what I'm saying I just know how Be like man I wanna fuck with But this shit gonna be Thought out But now I'm gonna keep bumping them in private I'm gonna keep I'ma keep goddamn telling my bitches about it I'ma keep on goddamn when the bitches turning my own bob in my head Rapping the shit with it He's like my nigga know you I don't respect that I don't respect folks who know they fuck with you But they not gonna fuck with you because of what you got going on It's like bro y 'all niggas be having shit going on Y 'all weird we ain't on there I don't give a fuck what you got going on You're weird sign thing I said You come to the city Come to the city Do what you do And come on bet your business I come to nigga's seat I wanna do what I do don't judge me about what I got going on at home this shit house guy right now we having a business motherfucker don't be wanting to have no business motherfucker be wanting to be street niggas they want to be in the smoke they want to feel a part of something they want to you niggas you still lying apart at night bro but you feel like that's just influenced by the current climate where dudes feel like nobody cares what they got going on unless they got some shootout beef to be talking about yes bro yes all this shit my niggas think I know it's so many more ways to get some money than the goddamn beef, bro.

51:06Beef might make a little money, but shit, at the end of the day, most shit you can do to make some money than beef, bro. I feel like back in the day, being involved in some crazy beef or having been shot or shot somebody, whatever, like that shit actually kind of moved the needle in terms of people paying attention. But I can think of a lot of examples of people who have been in crazy shootouts, etc. And that shit ain't moving their fucking streaming numbers. like it's all in the news it's all anybody's talking about never at any point does somebody think oh let's go listen to their project man come on that's not how it works motherfuckers not anymore you got niggas need that they career going down so bad my dad there's some niggas out here my dad been undead something to their down so just to try to get some clout and get somebody to pay attention they still ain't gonna pay breath day if the music ain't good I don't care what light they put on you you're not gonna stream point blank period I'm gonna stream regardless cause I got shit going on.

52:03So it's just like some niggas, I might want to do a feature with a nigga who turnt up right now. You might feel like, damn, bro, I'm turnt right now. Guess what? You gonna start streaming when that shit die down. I ain't gonna die down because my folks is die hard, die sick. They from the mud with me. They watch me. I got a store. I got a catalog on building. I got shit going on. You happened overnight. That shit gonna fall overnight. So you got that confidence because you've just seen it that your fan base just ain't going anywhere when you drop the show up. I got that cold in because I'm that nigga.

52:34And I know what's up with me. They know what's up with me. They're listening. I know what's up. Do you ever feel like you ever got cold and had to figure out how to heat up again? Yes, that's why I know how, that's how I know I'm that nigga. Like, I can go, I don't know. Fuck getting cold, I will ice myself. God damn, I will literally say I'm not dropping shit. I'm not, bro, I drop once a year, really. If you go look at my catalog, it don't even look like I be trying, bro. Like I've done dropped once a year This year is probably gonna be the first year That I drop two projects in a year Like I don't and that's not because I be on no cocky shit or I think I'm this I be really trying to like Work on my craft I care about what I'm doing Bro quality over quantity Bro you feel me like I wanna get you for Quality that's why I'm not gonna die down cause I'm Always give you something to talk about I'm always I'm gonna rap about my progression I'm gonna bring you down here With me I'm gonna get down there with you and you're going to really feel what I'm going through and what I got going on because I'm going to put you in and we're going to elevate together.

53:33There's basically like two different models is that you could be a young boy who just drops project after project after project and as a result, there isn't as much anticipation necessarily because the fans just have so much music or you could be like a Playboy Cardi and be like, nah, y 'all have to wait four years for this project and then when you drop it, it's really like an event for his family. But you know what the beauty of both of them is? They be in their self. That's why I work. You got a lot of niggas who try to do, you want to do what young boy do. I want to drop a bunch of, young boy just rap a lot.

54:06He want to drop a lot. That's his MO. That's his strategy. It works for him. You know what I'm saying? It's not a right or wrong to what you're doing. It's a you do what you're doing. Niggas don't know how to do them. You got to do yourself. You got to do what you do. Playboy might be like, bro, I drop when I feel like it. That's what works for him. Do it. You might got, man, little 30-round, little goddamn whatever finna drop. And he's saying, damn, bro, I need to do what Youngboy's doing. Damn, I need to do what Kenny Money's doing. Damn, I need to do what Playboy's doing. No, do what you might do.

54:40What your fan base calls for. If your fan base calls for that, do it. I feel like Youngboy's fan base calls for what he do. I feel like Playboy fan base calls for what he do. I don't feel like Playboy needs to drop every week. I don't think it I think there wouldn't be a good thing of him I think his fans like him because he stay authentic he stay like he stay like he keep them anticipated I feel like YV fans need a bunch of music because he turned up he keep them turned they playing this shit all day he's like everything worked for what's worked for you bro being a rapper and dropping that consistently is almost like being like a YouTuber or a streamer where it's like if Kaisenat goes away for four years I mean if he goes away for six months we all gonna be talking about Dan remember Kaisenat but Cardi goes away for four years and it's still huge when he comes back it's bigger because he went away for four years you know exactly you feel like you have to drop again because you just dropped recently like you doubling back again this year I'm doubling back again for sure yeah I ain't gonna lie because that's what my that's what my family called for they like bro you too hard you're too consistent people need to be on you I'm already independent and I already ain't got the machines everybody else got so I would what carries me is my talent and it's like the only way to keep getting my talent.

55:50Sing your head by more and more spreads. Like, more people gotta talk, more people might drop more music. Like, that's what my career calls for right now. So I'm finna drop plenty of shit. You feel like a paper out a little blackball? Would you say that? You can't blackball something that got down. We just ain't going. It's like, like I said, we a little another. We a cook. We can't blackball. By the time you get done trying to blackball and thinking, You gonna be nothing Did all this fuck shit All this sucker shit And followed all this And you gonna be like Man bro Them niggas still over there Getting money Them niggas still over there Turn Them niggas still living life Them niggas still Popping bars Having no money Damn Why am I hating on them niggas You gonna turn into a fan You gonna look up You gonna turn You gonna be like Man I ain't I don't even got a reason To hate on them folks They ain't doing shit wrong They taking care of their family They They Standing on business You know what I'm saying They Getting money they see it.

56:50What are they doing wrong? I think this is kind of interesting because like in Chicago, the fans kind of view it like the BDs and the O-Blocks and the OTFs. Those are the good guys. And then the GDs and the 60-30-ins, etc. Those are the bad guys. But I feel like in Memphis, it's not really viewed that way. It's not like PRE is viewed as the bad guys and CMG is viewed as the good guys. It's kind of like they're both just viewed as like very talented labels, right? Huh? I don't know. I mean, do you think the fans view it as like a good guys and bad guy type situation? Or do you think CMG versus PRE in Memphis being like the two major labels, you know?

57:31I don't know. I feel like PRE is PRE and we do what we do. I don't get there. I don't think we versus anybody. We just turned up. Yeah, we ain't got nothing. We just turned, bro. Like people view us as money. No folks getting money. They turned up. them Dolph boys them folks getting their money they live that's what's going on that's all I think they view I don't think they view it no other way speaking of Dolph like right now like all on the blogs is the trial like they streaming it right now where was you at when you found out Dolph passed away I had just got home from my fucking I had a turkey drive my turkey drive was the day before he died I literally just got back to the house I got down I was sitting on the couch Like I live in a condo I was sitting on the couch I don't even be sitting on the couch And then my phone was just wrong And got down I remember when I Bro I ain't gonna lie I swear to god bro I remember when my phone was wrong bro I just heard somebody yelling bro.

58:45And then I got down. The phone hung up. And I called. Somebody else called me. Like Bridget Dodger got shot. And I'm like what? And I just remember dropping the phone bro. And I was like mine bro. I prayed. I swear to God I prayed. And I'm like mine bro. Hell nah. Like I'm spiritual bro. I be like mine. Hell nah. It can't be going on. Get back on the phone. Like bro. They told me he's straight. Like bro. They told me he died. I'm like mine. Hell nah. and I just dropped the phone again. I just, bro, I ain't gonna lie. I ain't doing it. I just, I sat there. I cried for it. I mean, I'm like, bro, this shit was unbelievable.

59:20I couldn't believe the shit, bro. I didn't believe the shit really was real. The shit didn't seem real to me, bro, for so long, bro. I feel like I was just in a dream. I feel like this shit was just a dream, bro. Like, I feel like this shit was a dream, bro. Was you shocked by finding out that he was just driving around? Like, because he went to Makita's Cookies and everyone was shocked that he was just moving around in cars that everyone is familiar with. Is that normal for him just to be riding around Memphis in the Raps cars? It's normal for Douth to do this shit anywhere, bro. It's Douth, bro.

59:53They might do this shit anywhere, bro. Might drive in his car. He gonna have whoever he want to ride. He gonna be him and that person. He just... It's Douth, bro. He a gangster bro Like I ain't gonna lie Like he a gangster I don't need Call niggas gangsters bro He's a minor gangster like He like nothing more gangster Than living a life You wanna live Taking care of your family You might Turning your Turning Turning Your young niggas up God damn Motherfucking Standing on what you Standing on And shit My He went out like A gangster to me too bro Like I hate I just hate That shit happen But bro My nigga a gangster bro is how he was.

1:00:39He always by himself doing what he wanted to do. Riding his low key cars, riding in his camo cars. He do what he wanted to do. He wanted to do what the fuck he wanted to do. That's how he was anywhere. Atlanta, LA, whatever. That's how he was. What was that time period afterwards like in terms of all the different people from the label and his family, etc.? Do you feel like it brought his friends and family closer together after that? I feel like we was already close. I feel like we brought in by then. I feel like we was already close based on the fact of the impact he had while he was here. It's like we just carry on as he gone, bro, because it's like 100 % just carry on, but he stood on what he stood on, bro.

1:01:37Like, he stood on my brothers being a family. We a family, bro. Like, he stood on it. He's like, then, I can't say it brought us closer because we was out. It's like we were close anyway. Like, I feel like everybody dealt with stuff how they dealt with. I feel like some people be more down to others on a certain day. We pull each other up. You know what I'm saying? Like, shit, I feel like, I feel like, bro, some unexpected shit. Me personally, bro, I just feel like shit's so unexpected. that you never really know what to say or how to see it when you see your brothers or you see family members or you see people that is just, bro, you can't do nothing but just hug each other like, this is my thing, bro.

1:02:17I still today don't be knowing what to say sometimes to myself. I just hug whoever I'm around, bro, when I feel the way. You know what I'm saying? Right. Yeah, that's how. I don't think it pulled us close. I think it's just it's the same. It's just... Who is the current label members of Paper up? Like, who's on the roster right now? So, we all roster the same. And not trying. Like, who's on there? You? Me, Glock, Moochie, Snoop, Begon, Shot Towner. What? Yeah. Woo. Shit. Yeah. Is Gro Hero part of Paper up? Gro Hero Paper up for sure. Right, right, right. He just ain't no rapper. All right. So, he just more just like one.

1:02:57He is like one. Might as well be one. He shitting on rappers. I thought he was a rapper the whole time. He shitting on rappers. That nigga shitting on rappers. nigga do shit rappers don't even know how to do what's y 'all relationship it's my dog alright it's my dog alright we talk it's my dog we talk about plenty of other shit we don't even talk about rap shit we don't even talk about we don't even talk about paper rap shit that nigga just like I said he'll call the nigga and just be like bro you bullshit bro you need to quit buying this buy this bro buy these houses let's do this together let's try this let's yeah I ain't gonna lie that's why I say we just everybody play their own roles, fool.

1:03:35You know what I'm saying? I think Grove, my entire life, a little bit of Grove, Grove will just bring the funny to the, he just gonna make a joke or something, just pull a nigga back up type shit. Nah, that nigga do be funny, he be having a little funny. That nigga funny as a motherfucker, bro. He recently got shot, though, right? Yeah, he got shot. He's great. They weren't trying to shoot him, though. It wasn't nothing like that. Yeah. They weren't trying to shoot him. They were hitting him up like, they weren't trying to shoot him. It was just, like I said, somebody around somebody around the motherfucker get a call out yeah they pressing there and they probably I think they just was trying to get somebody else and they were just around I wasn't like that alright one thing I want to say though so he did receive backlash cause he did an interview or he did a live stream it might have been an interview with uh Off The Porch and he was on that they were saying he was dry stitching by saying niggas put money on uh Dolph Head how did you feel when you see one of your homies go on the internet and might say some shit like that do y 'all have a phone call off the like do you check them behind the scenes or no phone call even needed.

1:04:33He just said what he said. I don't talk to folks about the decisions they make. I just tell people if you make a decision of them decisions you want to make, I make my own decisions. I do what I do. I don't know. I just raise different. I don't really get into it like that. I don't look that deep. If I got a partner who's snitching or he a snitch, I don't hang rats. I don't fuck rats. I don't fuck with rats I don't like rats I don't kick with rats I said mice traps I don't play like that but he ain't doing no I ain't looking to that he ain't done nobody paperwork he ain't got nobody sent to jail nobody staying I ain't finna look I ain't one of them niggas who somebody say something about my partner and I go dig I don't do that this shit gotta be right here I gotta see it alright that's what it is but as far as god damn somebody saying something and I go digging like he ain't no real nigga like nah I'm gonna stand up for him till I see something I ain't I ain't seen him on nobody stand I ain't seen him I ain't seen him on nobody stand I ain't seen him get nobody locked up he's ain't been not get on nobody stand ain't gonna be my brother no more but he ain't doing it bro girl ain't doing that shit like that nah he was just catching a lot of flack for the shit he said but speaking like so the trial is going on and there is people actually snitching and saying what they're saying on the stand.

1:06:00My thing is, or my question is to you, would you actually want to see the people that's being convicted actually charged, or do you believe in street justice, whatever? As a street person, how do you? I just wish, bro. Even for a doll's family? I wish the world would just play. This episode is supported by FX's The Shards, a seductive drama from executive producer Ryan Murphy. Set in 1980s Los Angeles, The series follows a group of glamorous, deeply entangled high school seniors drawn into a life of wealth, beauty, parties, and excess. At its center is Brett, whose reality begins to unravel when the arrival of a new student coincides with a series of mysterious murders.

1:06:43FX's The Shards, now streaming on Hulu. Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here from Mint Mobile. Now, I was looking for fun ways to tell you that Mint's offer of unlimited premium wireless for$15 a month is back. so I thought it would be fun if we made$15 bills but it turns out that's very illegal so there goes my big idea for the commercial give it a try at mintmobile.com slash switch up front payment of$45 for 3 months $90 for 6 months or$180 for 12 month plan required$15 per month equivalent taxes and fees extra initial plan term only greater than 50 gigabytes may slow when network is busy see terms I just wish they had just put certain type of people right here certain type of people right here put these type of laws over here put these type of laws over here and just let niggas decide which world you want to go to bro cause at the end of the day I feel like niggas do wrong I ain't talking about that situation I'm just speaking hypothetically niggas do wrong I feel like when people do wrong man, woman, person you do something wrong you got a consequence, you need to die I feel like your consequential people should die.

1:07:57This is how I look at shit. Some people, you should just die. Like I said, this is me speaking hypothetically. Yeah, yeah. And in other words, I feel like, bro, when you're a good person, you got good shit going on, you're a day-to-day person, you ain't in no drama, no nuns, and you take care of being, you take care of your family, you ain't on all that. I feel like people like that, they want justice. They deserve their justice, bro. I just feel like it's worlds. And like I said, this ain't got nothing to do with the situation I have. I'm just saying my opinion on the world, bro. You got people who need justice.

1:08:31You got people who want justice. You got people who live a normal type of life. You got people who live other type of lives. They want people dead. It's like pick your world. That's how I look at shit. I know my world. You feel like it's safe in Memphis, though? Because if you read in the Alphardavid and stuff they're saying in court, they're saying that the niggas had$100 ,000 on Dolph Head, and then they saying even the niggas around them, like they saying like even general people, like just the members like you, the 50 ,000 of y 'all niggas says, like when you hear shit like that in the Alphadavid, does that make you think twice about being in Memphis or move differently?

1:09:05I ain't nobody putting no money on my head. That's what it was saying in the Alphadavid. I ain't nobody putting no money on my head. I ain't gonna lie, I don't lick it. Like I said, I don't. I mean, you wouldn't really know, right? I ain't nobody putting no money on my head. So how would you know? I'm right here with you. Well that just means that they didn't collect They ain't thirsty enough They ain't nobody Ain't nobody put no money on my head You don't believe it I mean it sounds good A lot of people like to say Oh yeah so and so got money on his head It just sounds good bro A lot of shit be fair to you bro A lot of shit folks just be fair Folks just talking bro A lot of shit just be talking bro But not necessarily Because they were saying it was$100 ,000 I was on Dolphin and then I guess a lot of shit just be talk bro I don't I live a life bro I just know what's in front of me I don't go about what I hear I go about what's in front of me I don't know I don't listen to the talk I know my nigga not here and god damn shit I don't look at it from what everybody else look at it I just look at it my nigga not here and I wish he was there Are you somewhat keeping up with the trial?

1:10:19Like you seeing what's going on on the news and shit? I just pay attention to shit for my reasons and why I pay attention to stuff, but I ain't got down. Some stuff I can't put my face on. Like I just can't put my eyes on certain stuff, so I don't be like, I be trying to like, I tell you I don't feel like someone still be, sometimes I be hoping I be dreaming about certain shit, so I just be like, man, let me stay focused on it. It's just too like upsetting to your soul to even like sit and watch a YouTube video about this type of shit? You just try to like kind of keep your eyes off it? Yeah, I just drown myself and work.

1:10:54I just go try to work, bro. I just go try to work. I ain't gonna lie, guy. I'd be like, man, I just need to go work, bro. I just do it. What would Dolph do? That's how I look at shit. Like, what would he do? My Dolphin ain't seen the Dolphin just gonna focus, bro. I feel like with the trial, The trial is the trial bro I don't make the decisions bro I don't make Whatever they got going I don't make decisions I just know like I said I just wish it was one world And another world I don't I don't know I don't think about what happened The statistics of it My nigga gone I wish he was here That's it that's all And I know what I gotta do On my end I know what I'm supposed to be doing bro That's all is all I pay attention to what do I supposed to be doing I went there, wish I was there I wish I was there I wasn't there but I'm still here what I supposed to be doing there this is what I be focused on do you think Dolph passing kind of left like a black cloud over the city in a way where it was just kind of it just made rap seem kind of depressing to a certain percentage of people that to them he was just a hero this shit broke a lot of folks hard but yeah that shit broke a lot of folks hard there's a lot of folks that shit broke folks hard that probably don't even wanna that shit probably broke motherfuckers hard that don't like them man truth be told I ain't gonna lie that shit wasn't that shit anybody from Memphis knows for a fact that was not supposed to happen in no type of way it wasn't supposed to happen it's just that that wasn't supposed to happen yeah some people take it a different way cause like alright Rallo I guess he's heard about the situation but I guess you ain't like how he's been handling it or taking it online I just told him something I just told y 'all really bro like Memphis shit Memphis shit shit going on bro like I feel like the shit that he was talking about like I told him bro I told him personally I ain't like bro I ain't like no nigga I didn't go make no post on him about no, I ain't no cloutchess nigga, no, I told him verbatim the same thing, like, hey, bro, like, certain shit you shouldn't be saying, certain shit you shouldn't be talking about, certain shit you shouldn't be doing, like, for everybody a little adult, celebrate them.

1:13:28Post them every day. I want you to post them every day, all day. Get his face tatted on you, get the biggest turn you want to get about, whatever. Quit speaking on the situation as far as people, all the other shit like other people and bro stop making just there's all I said bro quit speaking on the street shit bro cause I mean dudes like you and Kegelog have never really mentioned names commentated on that shit etc so it is kind of weird to have somebody who's like outside the camp who's going into way more detail and talking about who he thinks is at fault and who deserves you know in the street nigga My endiscreet nigga Period Knows that And can pay attention to Pay attention to Some shit Some shit you just should not Say and some shit you just should not Talk about because you might be Thinking you're helping but you're hurting You can be saying you say the wrong thing You're doing the wrong thing Lies get carried every day A motherfucker can say right now Kenny said when he leave the interview he gonna shoot Adam in the lead it's like somebody can drag this shit Adam can damn there no full effect that I didn't say that I ain't say that this didn't happen this ain't real but somewhere in the world somebody out here really believe this shit it's like real niggas don't carry on real niggas don't like spread rumors real niggas don't carry a real nigga gonna say hey Adam bro hey Kenny you it's over it's like niggas don't spread drama that's why I put that aim just towards him it's just what anybody be feeling like bro if you hear something and you don't got effect to it if you hear something you need it's just like I was just telling you bro nobody got no money on my head where is it I just don't feel like I feel like niggas just some shit that's just like you would make something you would damn there make somebody go do something that's not even going on.

1:15:38Just like, a moment can say somebody got some money on a nigga here, they go do it. Ain't no money. It was never no money. It's like, niggas just gotta stop spreading rumors, bro. And I feel like I told, bro, I told a couple of folks, they're like, bro, y 'all just be dragging shit, bro. And y 'all think y 'all helping, but you hurting, bro. Because like YouTubers, when somebody gets shot and somebody gets killed, it's like a race to make content about that. But I feel like... And they even, bro, what I be always saying about YouTubers, bruh, they the ones getting niggas killed. I genuinely feel like that YouTubers do what they do.

1:16:14They make their money. These content creators, these fucking like the little reaction people and shit, the vloggers and shit, like they do what they do but they don't know that. Bruh, I done seen shit. You ever seen shit? You see, they'll take a picture of somebody. It'll be a picture of one person, a picture of another person. They'll be doing something to each other. These people ain't never even seen each other. I get to be like, that's the clickbait. That's good. You know what I'm saying? But like, bro, that shit be foul to me, bro. It's foul. There's videos that have like a million views that it's like me and then it's you, but they Photoshop you with a gun in your hand and you're like, it's foul.

1:16:50And it's got like a million views and I see it like, what the fuck? Bro, and that shit foul to me. I ain't gonna lie. But what makes it more foul to me is that I don't even, I'm not even mad at them because these folks do what they do to make money. I be mad at the people for feeding into that shit because why are they not gonna keep doing it if y 'all feeding into it if you like what I'm feeding you I'm gonna keep feeding it to you I feel like when the rappers come in bed justifying and shit or the rappers clearing it up or the fans in the comments trying to goddamn be detectives and shit that's what they want they gonna continue to make this shit they gonna continue to make up stories make up rumors and that's why I say real niggas should not indulge in certain shit.

1:17:35I'm never gonna respond to somebody saying somebody make a YouTube video. I'm not gonna respond to a Roma or somebody saying I'm not gonna respond. I'm gonna respond to when I walk out my door, I wake up and in my sleep, I leave, I leave, I'm responding to what's in front of me. I ain't even... But sometimes you feel like you might have done something that you feel like you shouldn't have did. Because I seen a video of you driving through the Ops hood and shit with like $50 ,000,$100 ,000 and shit you sitting on top of a car. I ain't got... I ain't got a little spicy. I ain't got no Ops. It was like, man, Kenny riding through Orange Mouth with 100 ,000 on top of the hood.

1:18:07I'm like, damn. I said, A-O-G-G, all ops gotta go. And I also rode through a street, a neighborhood, an area. And I said, I don't got no ops. I said, I don't have any ops. Where they at? You're like, it's 5 p.m. I don't see nobody on the block. And I'm right here with you to this day still. I didn't say nothing wrong. I don't got no ops. But if you riding through a nigga hood And they ain't outside It's making them niggas look away Type shit to the internet So then you fueling But then you fueling the YouTubers To make those type of like If the YouTuber go take the video And say Ken and money riding through opps hood And saying nobody's outside They show a video of Ken and money riding through a hood And there's nobody outside I just told you I'm not mad that the YouTuber Didn't do nothing wrong I was riding through a neighborhood.

1:19:02I didn't say it with my ops. I just said I was riding through a neighborhood. And I said, ain't no ops outside. And you want no ops outside. That's not a rumor. That was a fact. Ain't nobody outside. Nobody looking for nobody. Nobody. Niggas not worth. Ain't all these defaults trying to do this. No, it's no ops. Where's the ops? Ain't no nigga beefing nobody. Ain't nobody beefing no niggas, bro. Niggas living they life, bro. Niggas be putting these scenarios out here like niggas going through this. gonna mind. Niggas ain't going through shit. Like, man, nigga living they life. Nigga trapped my foot going to Orange Mound.

1:19:33I'm going to Cabo, nigga. I'm going to Finland. I'm going overseas. Man, I don't give a fuck about Orange Mound, but I'm gonna go there, and I'm gonna ride, and I'm gonna do what I think. I ain't looking for no ops, because I don't got none. Where the ops? I ain't got none. As long as all ops gotta go, but where they hit, ain't none. Niggas not even on their block. Ain't no niggas. Ain't no block. Ain't shit going on. I mean, we always see the videos where they go to the op hood and then there's nobody around. We never see the video where it's like I pull up to the op hood and everybody's there and we're just gonna bang it out.

1:20:05And that's what I'm telling you. A lot of times the internet people, niggas will be putting shit making shit up and it be like but y 'all making shit sing like something like and these niggas ain't even a lot of these folks ain't got nothing going on or nothing nothing going on bro. Like she's like oh Memphis people don't even be in Memphis Memphis niggas don't even live in Memphis Memphis niggas don't live in Memphis It's definitely one of those places where it seems like anybody who gets to any level of fame or rich is just like I should probably get out Niggas that still live in Memphis You a damn fool You ain't what you think You still want to shit on the city Go to these big ass cities where everybody else look like you and got what you got going and do what you do I know nigga Know some sales for niggas Sitting in Memphis bro I ain't sitting in Memphis Fuck I'm sitting there If I go see my grandma See my folks Take care of my business Fuck with my niggas Pull up on who I wanna Pull up on Do what I do And I keep it moving bro I like that video Kick it with my niggas I ain't do nothing It was just a regular Pull up Kick it with my niggas Got money on me I'm moving I'm moving Shit We sliding We riding I'm on bed all day Could you Could you work with like A money bag yo or somebody on that camp that ain't really too much tied into shit as mutual?

1:21:29Because I don't really hear Moneybagg say too much. Like CMG and shit. I don't know. I don't know. Like, could you and Moneybagg even do a song? Or it'll be too many politics behind that. Me and Bagg have a song. We were, it's like, I was growing up, like, me and him is like, them folks, it's like, them folks niggas, them old heads to niggas, like, they ain't, like, I don't be on, bruh like it's more to memphis than what niggas think memphis is bruh it ain't it's no like the guy keep saying why i keep saying who and what i ain't joking or trying to i'm dead ass here's like to the world they look at it it's on and on that's not bruh that shit ain't shit bruh it's like bruh motherfuckers just niggas like niggas running to niggas niggas in the street niggas meet niggas everybody know everybody bruh new bruh bruh new him they got money the other day, this person want to sign me, that person want to do this.

1:22:28It's Memphis, bro. It's a small city and everything going on. It's not this and that. It ain't what folks let this scenario just ride. I don't let it ride, bro. I don't get none of this shit no play, bro. This shit ain't nothing, bro. That's not what Memphis is. Memphis is not this and this, this, that, bro. Memphis is a bunch of niggas who got, everybody got a title to this person. They're title. Everybody's friends. Everybody grew up with somebody. Somebody knows somebody. Somebody got this. Bro, it's just a bunch of fucking mess. That's why niggas get money and roll because it's too much mess.

1:23:01Too much whatever. Like, bro, niggas ain't doing songs with niggas. Niggas ain't. What I'm doing a song with anybody for. Memphis niggas ain't doing songs with Memphis niggas. Memphis niggas doing songs out of town, niggas. Memphis niggas ain't doing songs together. What is going on at? Memphis niggas doing songs with they friends. Memphis niggas signing they friends, pulling they friends up. I ain't, niggas, I ain't, like I told you a long time ago, motherfuckers want to fuck with me and I ain't on type of times the niggas be on so it be like and they get mad when you don't sign the new. Exactly so it be like and I ain't gonna even just say necessary man I don't know if you mad say it.

1:23:35I mean that's what Dolph made it seem like he said like Dolph let it be known that niggas can't fuck with him he's shitting on the industry and he wasn't talking about he stood on all his things it wasn't just a group of people it's everybody to him like whoever don't fuck with him why would you not fuck with him he turned he did nigga it's the same We ain't done how I look at the white. We ain't done how Memphis is, bro. Nigga be turnt up. Nigga be doing what they do, but that niggas in Memphis ain't doing something. It ain't got nothing to do. It don't got, why I wouldn't do something with something this person, that person don't got nothing to do with.

1:24:09It's something, it's always something bigger than the other shit. The titles. It ain't got nothing to do with none of this shit. Like, this shit don't got nothing to do with nothing, bro. This shit, Jim, don't got nothing to do. Don't got a song back, bro. Like, this shit, this shit not nothing, bro. What about a push-ish-ish relationship? I fuck with shi-ish. I fuck with shi-ish. I've been fuck with shi-ish. I've been fuck with shi-ish. I've been turn, y 'all niggas. It's like, bro, like I said, Memphis is just political, bro. It's political and the outside don't make no building. It's just political, bro.

1:24:52It's a political place. I ain't gonna lie, it's a political Most cities are like that now It's just, there's not really like Huge rappers for people to like Be able to easily understand the situation You know, like there's a million Fucking gangs in LA A million artists that you're never gonna see work together The fans are always trying to decode that shit But I feel like the fans think that Memphis Is just super simple, that there's two sides And that's it, I'm sure that's not true The problem with it goes, I went back to the beginning of the interview When I told y 'all I've been trans since I was 14, 15 young, everybody in Memphis will start in their own way, bro.

1:25:27And it's just what it is. I might be this big, I might be here, but I got my little young nigga, he turned up, he whatever, he might be in tour with this person, that person is just political, bro. It's like, I'm not gonna still fuck with this person just because I'm bigger than you, so I'm gonna do what I wanna do. Fuck what you got going on. They don't work like that. I mean, there ain't no big guy out of little you. Motherfuckers just got respect and lured on different type of angles and different type of whatever. So that's why going back to like what I was saying, bro, why I wouldn't do certain shit with certain people.

1:25:59Shit, this shit was way before anything. Like, my fault, man, way before anything, bro. Like I said, I got my own reasons, bro. People know my reasons. People know their reasons. People know what it is. People know what it be, but they don't be having nothing to do with it. I ain't no, like, paper out is a record label, bro. Yeah. It's a record label. These are my brothers, my family. but it's not no gang it's not no motherfucking gang shit going on where a nigga if we go back in history a little bit by like 10 years or whatever I went through, I watched some shit and realized that the way that the beef between Dolph and Gotti or whatever and Black Youngstead all that shit, that shit was being communicated through the internet so much at that time I felt like nobody is talking like that anymore Nobody's like taking their beef and maybe young kids and shit, but not people that are that successful.

1:26:53They're not putting their beef out on the breakfast club like that week after week. Like that just feels like a distant memory at this point. Cause people have seen so many of these Ricos come down and shit.

1:27:08Who beefing? I ain't got one around. Hey man. Hey, what's the current state of Memphis scene right now? Like, who you feel like some artists that we need to tap in with that we might not be paying attention to? Right. Because we all know the two sides that we see. Outside of that. I'm not telling you, I ain't no side. I'm talking about label-wise, not even on no game. I'm just saying, like, we know CMG and we know Paper Route. Besides that, like, what other rappers in Memphis that we might not even know about or, like, any movements going on? Zotrap, like, CEO Juleson. What? Yeah. Yeah, CEO Juleson, Zotrap, like.

1:27:47Like I said, man, we fuck with My, they ain't Jizzle, but he about to fuck with They niggas, man. You think Jizzle got a run in him? You think he's about to be making some noise? Or is he up right now? Jizzle? Yeah. Jizzle in jail. He is, right? Yeah, but a run in my name from a cut-up. He turned, bro. He naturally turned, bro. That's Memphis niggas, bro. He naturally turned, man. I can't fuck with Jizzle, bro. Who would you put on your Memphis, Mount Rushmore?

1:28:16Best to come out of Memphis From rapping

1:28:21Paper rap I would just put P-R-E P-R-E Fuck this Mount Rushmore We're just gonna put three big ass letters on it Three big ass letters on it P-R-E I'm gonna put P-R-E There ain't no disrespect to nobody Yeah I respect the cause I respect what my I respect everything but you ask me what I'm gonna do I put it on my hand on my neck this is my life bro I'm gonna put it P-R-E down there you know who Stan G is Stan G oh man

1:29:03I ain't gonna lie he's a Memphis personality YouTuber contact creator I don't fucked up, bro. I do not be brown. I don't fucked up, bro. I don't like them. I don't be on them motherfucker like I used to. Nah, I don't understand. I ain't gonna lie saying y 'all ass be other, but I don't know. I don't understand. Word. Y 'all ass Duke and be other shit. For sure, we will. I don't believe that. I don't know. He just hit me with an interesting theory. He said, why do you think Gucci Mane was signing all them Memphis artists why did he sign them and why did he drop them recently and I was kind of like I don't know and he basically said Gucci Mane if he doesn't like somebody he'll sign people from their section to basically like stir up shit where they're from and he claimed that he had basically done that because he's not Gucci Mane is not a fan of certain CEOs in Memphis Gucci Gucci Ralph, Gucci, Gucci been fucked with Memphis niggas, though.

1:30:10Gucci's fucked with another one of my, uh, boo-durge or shit. Gucci, Gucci been on it, bro. Gucci's just, Gucci's like Memphis, bro. Gucci like Memphis shit. Mm-hmm. Gucci, Gucci. Man, whatever happened to Zedzilla, bro?

1:30:25You gotta ask his folks, man. I remember him a long time ago, Memphis Rap, but I ain't heard from him in a minute. You gotta ask his folks, bro. But you know what I'm talking about, right? The bitch name, I forgot. Yeah, ask his folks. Just Google it. Just say, Hey, it's his folks.

1:30:44I ain't heard from Zazzill in about 10 years or so. I ain't heard from Zazzill about his folks. I don't know what happened to Zazzill. Did you know the 100 Shots video was going to be that raw? Yeah. You was in the video? You was there for it? No, I was out of town. But you knew that song when you heard it. You knew it was going to be that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. A lot of them motherfuckers are going to be turned regardless. How you here? When was the first time you heard it? I heard it I heard He ain't let me hear it bro Oh word I ain't gonna lie That motherfucker I ain't gonna lie bro I used to Even my role model bro They might let me hear Role model for that whole tape He did I remember going bro Going to the studio Dog That's what That's another thing Y 'all ask me like why What's the difference bro Like they might just They might Dude just hard It might too slamming Like he just They might just Rally say what the fuck He wanna say bro Like he say what he wanna say It is what it is so this is part of why bro that's part of how I make my music I ain't started freestyling until I got with I don't write shit I say what the fuck I want to say make it rhyme I already in time bro I know it's going to be wrong because he think wrong are you looking for artists to sign would you be interested in getting into that side of things or are you just focusing on yourself I want to but I ain't going to I want to sign these but I ain't doing it until I learn everything I need to know.

1:32:07I ain't playing with nobody's career because I didn't let nobody play. I ain't letting nobody play with mine. I ain't playing with nobody. I ain't signing no niggas just to say I got little niggas. I ain't signing no niggas just to make money off of them. When I sign somebody, I want to really help them. Like I got help. I ain't letting nobody do me like that. So I ain't letting nobody else like that. I help pay for videos. I pay for studio time. I do this, I do that, I help niggas, and I don't want nothing back from it. 100%. So where do you look at what you need to be doing for the rest of this year in terms of taking your career to the next level?

1:32:46Where do you see yourself at right now? Dropping, dropping, dropping, putting out music. Like I said, putting these good-edged projects together. Fucking with the people I need to fuck with.
