In short

The No Jumper Show Ep #451 is a roundtable-style episode about (1) the Monday show being run without Adam, (2) how No Jumper cycles through host changes and public “it’s over” narratives, (3) updates on legal cases involving No Jumper hosts (especially Ant Hefe), (4) comparisons of the US vs UK justice systems based on firsthand courthouse experience, and (5) entertainment talk including Future’s “Pluto” album and David Lucas’s comedy career and writing on the Kevin Hart roast.

Guests (and backgrounds)

  1. Trap Lord Ross: YouTube/online media personality described as a “legend in these YouTube streets,” with long familiarity with No Jumper’s history and host changes.
  2. Lush Uno: Battle rap/hip-hop figure and manager; described as a dope MC and “one of the last rock stars alive.”
  3. Moose Man (David Lucas): Comedian/roaster and podcast/TV figure; known for Roast Me, Kill Tony, and Roast of Kevin Hart; also mentions a movie with Jonathan Majors releasing in October. He says he started in comedy around age 15-16 and has been grinding for over a decade.
  4. L.A. podcaster Doughboy and others are referenced, but the transcript’s main named guest who arrives is David Lucas.

Key claims / notable examples

  • Adam is repeatedly “habitual misser” for Monday shows; today he’s out of town and his wife is “letto” (implied family obligation). The hosts argue clout/belts affect how late people can be.
  • Trap Lord Ross claims No Jumper survives host departures because Adam “finds talent” and the show is cyclical; fans “count him out” then later love the new cast.
  • Moose Man reports Ant Hefe court updates: new “digital evidence” (video/photo) and an August 6 hearing focused on bail; judge warned bail could be denied due to murder charge severity.
  • Moose Man compares US and UK justice: US is public/transparent with jury trials; UK can decide some cases without a jury via magistrates; he describes UK court formality (wigs, “all rise” culture).
  • US vs other countries: he mentions claims about harsher conditions abroad (e.g., Philippines prisons) and contrasts with Dubai’s “lost and found” reputation.
  • Comedy/roast philosophy: Moose Man says comedy “draws a line” and then goes over it; he argues “canceling” increases algorithm attention and money.
  • Music: They discuss Future’s “Pluto,” arguing it’s “fire” despite rollout/expectations; they debate standout tracks like “Alice,” “California Girls,” and “Build-A-Bitch,” and mention Drake’s first-day numbers vs Future’s.

0:00Kind of our funny bunny. Coolest podcast in the universe. No jumper. Monday show. I'm here with the homies and we're waiting on another homie. But to my left, I got a guy legend in these YouTube streets. You've seen him for all the groundbreaking work he's done. Shout out to my homeboy, Trap, Lord Ross. Hey, let the glazing begin, man. Then to my far right, I got my guy. He's a legend in the battle rap scene, hip-hop scene, management scene. He's a dope MC. Got some dope projects on the way. He's one of the last rock stars alive. And most importantly, he's my dang homeboy, Lush Uno. Boom. Boom.

0:42That's got to scare. He sucks. I got the illest dude in L.A., one of the illest podcasters. He is one of the most noise. Drake knows who he is. New York Times knows who he is. The streets is buzzing over my cousin. Shout out my guy, Moose Man. Let's go, man. We groundbreaking. It ain't because we tipping the scales either. You feel me? We outside. They're just walking down the street and the ground just shatters. He's literally the largest podcaster in Los Angeles. And you know me, just little old doughboy. I'm just here for the vibes and the good times. They call me Young Richter Scale. We have a special guest on the way.

1:19If you guys are familiar with the show, Kill Tony. Roast me. he's a legend at both of them so shout out my guy David Lucas he will be in the building in about 15 minutes and we're gonna chop some game with him um yeah but no he's a guest the guest can be late but if you're a regular that's not fair hey I've been going hard on it I was early I was early that's what I'm trying to let's ask trap trap I've been going super hard hall monitor Debo on cats when they come late am I right for that or am I wrong you know what it is I feel like Adam he trying to you know toe the line get everyone to come here early I know people often late but at the same time sometimes you know when you got a name fool's gonna have to wait yeah it's like this it's like this okay like it'd be one thing if michael jordan was like hey bj armstrong he's showing up late get your ass on time you feel me but but this is like uh like danny ainge danny ainge is trying to be like hey yo Oh, Scotty Pippen, you're late.

2:18Man, check your ass up, Danny Ainge. I feel like around here, it's like, depending on how many, either like, how much clout or bodies you got, that determines how late you can be. Because there's certain fools that be late, and Adam kind of like, That's why I respect Doughboy, because at least he's keeping that same energy. Lush will get his head ripped off, and then Frick Baby comes in with the blick on him, and so Adam doesn't say a word. Yeah, exactly. We got to keep that same energy. If you got belts, there ain't nobody, you feel me? I'm pretty sure Jay Hood turns up whenever he wants, right?

2:47Yeah. Yeah. Known belts. He just turned out where everyone's called. We saw that fight video though. I'm not calling him out. I'm not calling him out. Tomorrow's good. Reschedule. I'm not going to be the dude. Shout out to him, man. Shout out to all the dudes. Talent, man. There's been a lot of good new people up in here, man. I've been loving it. Doughboy, Moose, obviously Lush, the veteran taking these guys under his wing. I've been loving watching it. I ain't been on here in a while, but I've been watching a lot. I've been enjoying everybody's lit. Well, welcome back to the platform, man. We happy to have you here.

3:14Can we talk about the elephant who once again ain't in the room? Yeah. Adam, what is going on? Do you feel like he is just purposely playing hooky on the boys, man? What's up? I don't know. What was the reasoning today? What's he doing today? Now he's out of town and his wife's letto. Oh, yeah. And I get it. You got to do the family stuff. And I know he knows we're competent enough. But it's like, that would be cool if this was the first time. But he keep missing. He's a habitual misser. Yeah, he's on vacation discrediting in Tupac. You know how important it is, Trap, when you're doing a new show.

3:43Like he's the biggest face on the platform and he's not showing up. Yours might be a bigger face. Yeah. We're talking about width or diameter. Circumference. What metric are we using here? This opportunity though. You know what I mean? It's like Adam not here. Okay. Like the difficulties turned up a little bit, but this is a time to, you know, have some motion, like do something different, get people excited again. So, you know what I'm saying? I'm glad that I could be here. Adam's not here and let's, let's get this thing moving. We don't take full advantage of this, we're gonna take advantage of a lush and trap lord today oh yeah david lucas yeah when he gets here here's the thing though like you keep saying we've had this dialogue multiple times that adam is neglecting the monday show and i can understand that to a degree but like i also feel like it's he got so much trust in y 'all and believe y 'all he wants y 'all to like hold it down and continue you to really cut your teeth in this you feel right i keep doing your your dougie on these hoes until he returns and then y 'all could really start cooking yeah okay he does he must trust us because you know i'm saying no he must like he clearly must trust y 'all it's not like he's oh i'm gonna let me just sit with this garce ferrell you know i'm saying like although like i would say maybe he would do that for one episode you know what i mean like just to be like oh yeah just to show us like we can't do without him yeah this is what it's like without big 20 you know I'm saying like 22 stuff.

5:10He ain't going like cat off on two months straight. Right. But let me get my Doughboy on Doughboy has been holding it down with legendary as guests week after week. You know what I'm saying? He's been calling in favors. He's been, you know, I'm saying setting it up, making these dudes are super busy, at least take an hour or two out of their time. You know, I'm saying to come and sit down with us. You know, I'm saying so I definitely got to give credit to Doughboy on that. He's been holding it down. That glazing worked in the end, man. It came in handy. You know what I'm saying? Adam, a little glazing.

5:36He got a lot of famous friends. He got a lot of famous friends. Let him go a long way. Let him glaze, man. So, Trap, like, being someone that has been, you know, operating a successful YouTube channel, now channels at this point for, you know, many moons, what are your thoughts on knowing the history of No Jumper and, like, seeing the constant change in hosts and knowing Adam Good and seeing, like, his real concerted, genuine effort to have a stable cast of characters and then see the circumstances of light kind of get in the way of that being a thing like what were your thoughts were at what point were you worried for the fate of no jumper were you purposely staying away because you didn't want to be implicated in all these you feel me murders or what like like what are your thoughts man that's a really good question i feel like as a no jumper fan you know low-key i've been on here a few times i always tapped in with what's going on I feel like every time Adam loses a popular host, everyone counts them out.

6:34No jumpers over. Oh, it's over. This is bad. Like it's over with. But it's like the reality is Adam knows how to play the game. He's good at finding talent. He's found and picked like, you know, cool chess pieces, put them on the board, seeing what they can do. I feel like every time it's like, oh, AD and T-Roll left. Oh, it's never. No jumpers over with. And then slowly he rebuilds. Brick baby. Cool. He's got people like, I mean, you know, loose cannon for a little bit. Obviously, Ant Hefe, you know, free Ant. I actually saw Ant this morning in court. but um basically like i feel like every time they count him out he always finds some interesting people now we got j hood joe doughboys doing great moose is up in here doing the talent show was fire so i just feel like this it goes through cycles man and unfortunately when you're doing the street content street stuff goes on people get put on the bench they go in three situations you know legal obviously free brick free and you know free suspect of course um so i feel like yeah they They always count him out, but he comes back with a good cast.

7:28And if anything, that's what the fans love. They love the up and down of No Jumper. No Jumper got them fickle fans that they love to say it's over with. And then a few months later, they love in Doughboy. They love in J.O. They got someone new to love. And then when they go away, it's going to be the same thing again. Hopefully that don't happen with some of these hosts. But that's what I think is going on, man. It's a cyclical. Well, yes. And I guess I feel like No Jumper's found a decent way to somewhat capitalize off of the hate watchers to a degree, which is fully impossible to contain. in its entirety because you're going to have a bunch of reaction channels that get a lot of traction just based off of the size of the community and things like that so it's a it's impossible to fully circumvent but absolutely i feel like you know we at least use it to our advantage in some capacity and the fans like a lot of them like act like they're haters but they're like your hating cousin they'll shoot on you and talk about everything about you your outfit at the end of the day they still love you and they're showing up to the parties every time to rock out with you so it's like it's kind of that vibe i feel like if adam closed the doors and said fuck this i'm tired of the hate we shut in no jumper no more shows the community would be devastated some fools will be out be out of an income they have nothing they wouldn't know what to do like you know slimy yeah y 'all be in trouble so I'm joining a big problem.

8:48No gang, we're running the street. A hundred percent, you would see a difference in the spike in the crime rate. The crime rate would go up if no jumpers went down bad. They got vacancies on Fig right now. So, you know what I'm saying? If you guys need another gig, they got something done. One size pumps. I think I'm like 12 minutes. Hey, you touched on this briefly. I want you to see if you maybe expound on it a little bit more. You said that you've seen Ant Hefe today. What updates can you give us to Bro? Yeah, I saw Ant Hefe in court today, man. I think he looked a bit surprised to see me there, but I popped up for his hearing.

9:20It seemed like, I would say, it's maybe heading in a positive direction. So they basically said that there's some new evidence. It sounds like some digital evidence, video, photo. I'm not 100 % sure I didn't say what it was, but they said that he's requesting to have a laptop brought to him, I guess in his cell or, you know, at where he's being held at so that he can actually review some of that footage with his lawyer. He was there with his lawyer, he was there with his co-defendant, him and his Cody they had their own separate lawyers but they were appearing together it didn't seem like there was animosity between them but it was like they each had their own lawyer over their shoulder dealing with the situation so I don't know exactly what that means but the other aspect that was interesting is they set another hearing for August the 6th and they actually said that that hearing they're going to cover a couple of things including following up with the application for bail they're trying to get the bail I believe for Ant lowered and the judge said i'll hear your argument for lowering the bail but be warned because this is such a serious charge of murder i could actually make the decision to say actually no bail at all so it he got an opportunity on august 6th to make his argument for bail he's going to be able to review that evidence hopefully that works in his favor um that was the latest update but you know he seemed in good spirits he didn't seem down or anything he seemed like very serious taking it very serious really locked in paying attention to what was going on um so man hopefully we get some some good results that aren't coming soon man yeah hopefully i mean like the fact that there's a prospect for bail and a very good chance and i mean per my understanding i don't know like most people are going to have their own lawyer especially on like a case of this severity regardless sometimes it's even it could be at times even like a considered a conflict exactly they're both being the deals are conflicting and then you're you know agreeing to terms that compromise your other client all that type of stuff and that's not yeah you can't give somebody preferential treatment over the other like just on some basic ethics of you know uh i'm not gonna say i don't know what the proper you know i think that really is it's like the ethics of yeah being an attorney you know whatever what's called jurisprudence whatever right like yeah so whatever words yeah whatever you've i'm probably using it out of context but regardless this i'm just saying like i don't think that ness is that doesn't in case anybody's gonna like cling to that that doesn't indicate that there's a conflict as you did say yeah you know a lot of people have said different things but um you know i'll be waiting for an update uh you know hopefully i'll attend more dates uh i've been going to the courthouse a lot recently but at the david trial on my second channel i know brick baby's got a hearing coming up i was going to attend his hearing last month got delayed i believe at the end of this month he's having a hearing obviously he's got this situation with this plea and it's maybe not worked out the way that he wanted it to he's trying to kind of make a maneuver with that so i'm hoping to keep the no jumper community updated on any anybody any hosts that get put on the bench i'm gonna follow up i'm gonna find out what's going on in the court i see and that's amazing actually that's incredible has that given you like a different perspective about like the legal system like being like face to face and seeing how it goes down for sure man if anything it's like i mean when i first went to the david trial that was the first american trial i'd been to and it was just surreal to me all this stuff I've heard about David and his crimes and the crazy shit.

12:29Just seeing him get brought into the court in his shackles, it was just this crazy moment. It felt like everyone in the courtroom for his first court date was like, whoa, that's really him? He really here in shackles? That's so real, yeah. Facing these charges, he was out for months. Oh, that's Jeffrey Dahmer. This generation, yeah. It's the most heinous crime a celebrity in Hollywood's arguably ever committed. Like, arguably worse than OJ as far as, like, the victim being so innocent. No, it's worse. Yeah, I would say worse. A minor. It's worse. but like it's definitely made me really respect the american justice system because when i was getting into i was like oh can i actually get into the trial like is it gonna be easy are they gonna let me in i'm not i'm not from here i wasn't born here but as i've learned more about it it's like it's your right as well a citizen but also as somebody in america to follow the transparent open system of justice they can't hide that shit in secret they can't say we're having an ant jefe hearing and no one can come in here they said no red coats allowed right like it's like show us your papers it's your right it's your right to just go and find out what's going on with justice They can't sweep it under the rug.

13:26And if anything, I have like so much respect for the American system. Not all countries are like that. You know, there's a lot of closed door things that go on in England. Some trials don't take place without even a jury. That's what I was going to say. Really? Yeah. What's the primary difference in your observation between the American and British justice system? I mean, the English justice system is way more formal. So like I'll give some context. When I was like 17, 18, I wanted to be a lawyer. And I started going to criminal cases in the UK because you can observe in certain levels of court.

13:53and I used to go, I've been to like observing like murder cases R word cases, like some real fucked up gruesome stuff, but there's a lot of stuff depending on the severity of the crime, some crimes you might not get a jury and it will be decided by a magistrate, which is like three judge sort of like judges, but they're not judge level like three very legally educated people from the community and it's like you'll hear your case in front of these three magistrates and they're just going to decide, they're just going to decide like guilty to the like the judge jury next to the guy. Literally, right?

14:21And then it's like in the UK, you know, you'll be getting people locked up for tweets and all type of shit so it's like i really respect the american justice system you have the right to a fair trial for it to be public a speedy trial a jury of 12 of your peers i'm like this is a like this type of shit is why america's if it's carried out that way which sometimes it isn't you know i'm saying but yeah for sure compared to other countries yeah yeah no i really respect it man and it's been i don't know it's been humbling to see them situations also you know i've seen other people waiting for certain cases i see other people getting their hearings and shit and it kind of makes you realize like damn that shit i'm gonna i'm gonna abide by the law i don't want to be in the orange jumpsuit for talking with my lawyer trying to find out how i'm going to get bail you know he has to some other people yeah yeah man but um yeah free up free up all the all the no jumper hosts man free the guys so basically like yeah free the guys 1000 but it's a far more like stricter like everything seems more severe would you say like dealing with the english court yeah i mean it's super formal as well a lot of it's based on royalty so it's like um you know all of the top lawyers they're called like they used to be called queen's council but then she died so now it's the king's council it's like they're sort of the king's council like they're retained by the king it's like they wear wigs i was gonna say they gotta have them johns on yeah literally they gotta wear the wigs like i worked i didn't i like interned for a really high level lawyer in the uk for a period when i was 18 when i wanted to go into law and it was so serious like if i did anything wrong i was admonished there was a whole thing she would like wheeled around a case with her wig in it it was like where's the wig one time like i went to the wrong room i went missing with the wig it was a disaster so it's mad formal it's mad like old school victorian and the way i feel like people talk more informal it's way easy to understand what's going on in the american courts whereas in the uk they'd be talking some of that old-timey english it's like some right spier shit so formal and also as well i guess in some courts here they do the thing where it's like all rise but in the la court you ain't got a rise for the judge you ain't gonna stand up but in the uk they still say it though right nah they're just like you know you're in the presence of the judge she she kind of takes command of the courtroom but like you don't have to rise whereas in the uk it's mad for if you don't stand at the right time you're in trouble they might throw you out yeah you better you better be with that uh nathan these ones this is the old one uh i added josh to a new one it should be 713 it says 615 i ain't gonna lie dude like the the prospect like as much as people complain myself included about the American justice system, which has so many fucking inherent flaws.

16:47From the very nature of his design, the thought of being locked up in a foreign country is so much scarier. Oh, yeah. There's been so many British rappers getting locked up in Dubai because Dubai is basically the gulag for all the criminals. You can't even smoke weed, first of all. You can't smoke weed. But a lot of the ex-criminals from Dubai, Canada, they'd be going out to Dubai. Sorry, from UK, Canada. They'd be like doing a crime going on the run in dubai but then they're getting in trouble out there and then they quickly find an outlet oh shit i got no hope like yeah there's a couple of famous chain snatchings that have gone on recently and like uk rap has been locked up in dubai and it's like bro they're gone you don't hear from them like they ain't getting no hearing they ain't no public like where are you gone we'll find out in four years what happened but the thing is per my understanding and i've never been to dubai but like a lot of my homies that have been there and people i know they're like they're saying like if you like accidentally leave your wallet or your rolex or your phone or whatever the fuck it is like in public in like the busiest street on like a cafe bench or whatever that shit finna be there like three hours later ain't nobody gonna touch it if it is taken it's like by the lost and found and you gonna get that shit back like there's there's no crime there's no thieving like yeah yeah yeah so like if there is something like that if you do like a chain snatching like hell yeah like they're gonna suck out i don't know if you know like presser's brother bundog he a super rich guy from canada that's just he's a rapper he does all type of business but he did a video on instagram where he left two million in cash on the street in dubai all day and came back it was still there that's what i'm saying wow that's insane yeah like crazy it'd be like that supposedly but then the ops be running into each other in these nightclubs in dubai snatching each other's chains and then they end up in the gulag for four years so yeah it can go left you got to be on your best behavior out there but yeah man keep it cool the u.s justice system i feel like people take it for granted i feel like there's a lot of problems in the u.s politically but like when you start looking at these other countries that uh you know royal families dictatorships like using that freedom's actually pretty good dude yeah like there's so many and again that's another example of a more favorable outcome that you could get you could be locked up in some of these like random ass oh they're like a south american Yeah, exactly.

18:56We found cocaine. What was that? Like Cica, that one. What was that streamer that just got caught? Oh, Johnny Somali. Yeah, that's the Philippines. There was another one. Yeah, he was in Thailand. And he had the Philippines. They showed the conditions. He lost mad weight. Like, he was looking hurt. Yeah, he was begging in that courtroom. You look crazy. That shit will change you, man. Because it's like, I feel like the US prisons are worse than the UK ones. In the UK, you can go to PlayStation. People will be recording music videos in there. but you go to that philippines prison you coming out change man you want you want a whole different program yeah because they're not feeding you none of that yeah the standard for humanity is significantly less and then like a lot of them like certain because i've done a lot of research on the penal systems pause yeah i bet you have for yeah extensive uh in foreign countries and yo some of them asian countries the way that they like get everyone militarized and you have like just like a certain motion you're doing for 12 hours straight yeah that's how that seat card is and they got them all folded up with their head down and shit i'm like oh it's all bad and they all tatted it yeah hey but don't get it twisted though anyone that followed that foolio murder trial them guys that got life i don't know if you saw the footage that was going around but basically like they were trying to decide whether we should give foolio's killers life in prison or the death penalty and they had a guy from the prison come and testify and they was low-key He's saying that he was like a slave owner type guy.

20:24I remember this. You see this? And he was just like, yeah, I need them boys to work. We can have hard labor. I need to get that sweat equity out of them for their life. That's the one term. Sweat equity shit. Sweat equity shit went viral. And everyone was in the comments like, whoa, slavery really still a thing? Like, they said them boys would do well on the labor camp. So, like, it can go left. Also, if you're running people down with the chopper, it's like, hey, man, if that guy gets you, that's on you. that's like a witness that they approve because they don't want to get executed like oh these are like the the positive reasons why the fact that that's being used as like a defense argument and it's like think about how dark that is all them tesla can't that's the yeah they're like just don't kill me bro i guess you know they didn't know how bad it could get like to the point where it's like i'm begging to do a lifetime of hard labor like bro they went damn like that's a better taking dough boy you getting lethal injection or just hard labor rest of your life at least you'll be like swole in there probably you gotta take that you gotta take that li i'm taking the hard labor just because you never know something might change exactly my switch up yeah you might find yourself in there situation get a new da i think the the lowest amount of time they could execute somebody definitely in california at least is 20 years.

21:42Yeah, it's like 20 or 25. So why not just be like, kill my ass, so then at least it's expedited, but maybe in the meantime they go and change the laws and don't boy speak. Right, exactly, and then I get out. But you just don't want to do the labor. You're like ducking the labor. There'd be people in prison that find themselves and find a... Yeah, I'm going to find myself a death row. I'm going to find myself a Jackson-off. They find out they were born a woman. They're still trying to be a woman now. I'm a single death row sell Jackson-off, I mean in the yellows yeah I'm a minion Jackson as a minion let's go I'm just saying you know it could be a worse fate potentially yeah I've seen a trap you was fooling with that I saw you guys talk about a little bit on the news but you know saying future the real me man I'm fooling with it I'll wrap it back today it's fire bro it was real I didn't go through it like with a fine tube cone but like nothing really grabbed me on the first listen slap it again bro it's gonna grab you it's gonna grab you by the hips and make you shake them you gotta focus on my soul you need to hit like a little pre-workout or something that that konichiwa them beats are crazy bro yeah yeah i'm not gonna lie i got top pluto 14 out of 22 songs being pretty fire i'm not gonna lie that was my count so here's the question yeah as somebody that liked the album what did you think of them experimental ones at the end because he had that what is it that alice alice i loved alice it transported me back to 2014 when i first did molly and i was just like you know i'm saying at some fucking dead ass party but i'm just rolling you know i'm saying people kind of transporting me back to a time it's like we're always like oh we're tired of the same old thing then he tries something new and it's like oh he's corny as fuck it's like it's great but but it like objectively from like a mainstream perspective he's like severely fallen off and he's like and the numbers are getting worse and worse there's not going to be like singles that are really resonating on a mass level i think it is i think radio is already going to be uh resonating with a bunch of people and there was a couple others, even California Girls, you know what I'm saying?

23:38Build-A-Bitch. I'm loving Build-A-Bitch. I feel like Build-A-Bitch, one of the weakest songs on the album. Everyone talk about Build-A-Bitch so good. I loved it, bro. I loved it. I'm not going to lie. You know, I'm going to have, you guys are making me really want to listen to it again. I'll run it back. The first listen, I was like mid. And then like two, I was like, oh, it's kind of cool. Third on the way here, I was like, this shit's actually off. What I have been doing, because I haven't had a chance to be on the right concoction to enjoy it properly, and give like a because that's like my homeostasis for future yeah i gotta be like on molly yeah but which isn't hard for you like go get some and listen to it yeah come on that was like my task for you before this pod no no it hasn't occurred to the degree that i wanted it to yet you know but but i will say this i have been paying good attention to the numbers yeah and uh him doing 19 million first day when Drake did 129.

24:33So if Drake did 129 and he did 19, that means... That's not great. But I don't put future like everybody else does as like a big three guy or a big five or any of that. He's like a tier under, you know, the Drakes and the Kendricks and the Coles and all them. But he's just... Am I being unfair as fuck to Pluto right now? Because like... No, no. I think you're being fair because people built him up as the like Atlanta go. He's birthed all these rappers he should be putting up big dog numbers just like the other people we mentioned it was like 220 on that 2023 album then it's been like 120 140 with the metro shit so he's hovering around that 130 150 range that's probably what this will end up you know i feel like the problem with this is it's like people are anticipating bad numbers and the rollout sucked i'll be honest the rollout sucked but it's like i feel like people are anticipating bad numbers and they're trying to almost like pre-order their opinions to hate the album because they know the numbers are going to be bad fuck the numbers it's fire who cares about i don't care numbers probably gonna suck but it's a good i'd say it's a good album it's exactly what you expect from future and like people need to give it another chance i feel like everyone's kind of caught up in this like everyone else saying it's mid so i need to be in line with what everyone else is saying reaction stuff okay and i think that to me he is definitely a prisoner of expectations when it comes to somebody like what i think of with pluto because there's a period of time like 2012 to 2016 where he was pretty much like infallible in my eyes yeah just yeah untouchable yeah and he's still like done really well in like his like ascent into Unkhood ever since then the hottest rapper in the world still kind of needs him you know to come through and stamp him he's still joining up he's still wearing that well but like when I think of future he needs to really embody that name you gotta be cutting edge you gotta be what's next is there anything on this album where it's like all right this is gonna be the next like sonic trend this is like the next cool sound and coming out of it no but it was that one where he's doing the weird kind of croaky voice like it's like people like oh there's nothing interesting but it's like he got that alice in wonderland song the california girl song it's like he got all different types of sounds and i feel like everyone this like this type of shit everyone's loving phoenix flexing for now that's what i would say bro that hollywood song yeah oh my god i'm like phoenix don't got nothing on this but the thing is like people don't people forget pluto's a dude that wrote drunk in love for beyonce like he's an amazing song yeah wow like he's an amazing songwriter way outside the context of just rap music you know what i mean like he knows that that's why he was in those uh was that sprint commercial with share or whatever you've like what harmonizing and shit yeah i know what Yeah, yeah.

27:18Like, Pluto is on such an insane level, and there is no Thug or Uzi Vert or anything. It was David. Yeah! Look who stepped in the motherfucking house. Trap Lord Ross is my guy. David Lucas is a moose man. David Lucas was good with you, man. Lush one. What's up? Got some headphones if you need them, but if not. We don't wear those, bro. Yeah, I'm about to say, I can hear y 'all. He runs a show, so he got to wear them for sure. How you feeling today, though, Lucas, man? How's everything? Our life is amazing. Long time no see, man. Niggas be busy. You know, great way to start it. He came in wearing an official Ralph Lauren hoodie.

27:56Let me tell you what happened last week. Hey, tell them what the fuck you had on the other day. Polo Association? Yeah, I did. As a fellow big nigga, where do big niggas go to get their swag? If you ain't got money. Burlington? Exactly. The fuck did I tell you? They got a little polo at Burlington. I didn't find it. They got five X polos in there. Online too, nigga. Online? I'm seeing more people pop out with the association now, though. I'm seeing, like, maybe I need a couple of... That's because you're in L.A. and Mexicans be wearing it sometimes, but we're not going to let the homie get it on.

28:27Mexicans get it passed. No, but, bro, like, before I had bread, I used to just wear... Nigga, you could always just... Before I had bread, I used to wear hella T-shirts and Champion, which is like$38. Right. Yeah. Champion was... So, wait. So, I was wilding for wearing an association? Out of pocket. because the rest of the they roasted me for 30 minutes on that shit he had fresh white jeans on fresh you know what I'm saying Air Force Ones and then he throws on the polo association yeah you tripped what the fuck are you doing in it nigga it just caught me like off guard because like I was kicking it with him all day didn't really look at it too closely and then I realized oh shit the homies got a stork on it why you didn't wear it today I was oh hell no the jockey has a little Yoda on his back This is a hoodie.

29:16This is a regular hoodie. That's the gas station sweatshirt. Yeah, yeah. It's just the, you know. You can always take a 20 on eight. Let me get a 20 on eight and that. It's always hella puffy. I ain't had it a pro club ever. They got on me. I bought a pro club right before I pulled up. Got the XL. I'm not an XL. I found out. They cooked me. I think it was last Monday show, bro. I look like a tube of toothpaste. You a 2X? I'm a 2X. I'm a 3. How the fuck? I'm a 2. I'm a 2. I don't know, bro. Yeah, but you a mushy tune.

29:49It's a disproportionate. It ain't like a regular tune. He's like an extra large.

30:04I'm still surviving. None of y 'all are hot. It was hot as fuck today. See, y 'all didn't live in the valley. That's why. It's for sure hot over here. I live on the west side. Okay, that's right. Oh, you're not in Texas no more? I still got my spot in Texas. You out here more often though? I mean, not at all. Yeah, cause I've been doing like more movie stuff. And you know, like, especially when I was on the, working on the roast with Kevin Hart, I was here for like six, seven weeks. I had to be here for like seven weeks. We got questions about all of this stuff. Before we get into it, let people know like who you are and what you've done and where they may know you from.

30:36Cause I know they like it. Oh my God, David Lucas, where does it start? I've been in this shit since I was 15. I mean, my first national TV appearance at 15 or 16 on the MTV Yo Mama show. National commercials when I moved to LA. I moved to LA at 18. And then I got on Roast Me, I think, when I was like 26. And then after Roast Me, Kill Tony, Roast of Kevin Hart, I just shot a movie with Jonathan Majors that comes out in October. Congrats on that. Thank you. A lot of stuff. I can't think of it. My nigga killing it, man. I'm so proud of you, man. I'm counting on you over a decade now. Yeah. It's been super hard, man.

31:12I remember just watching him grinding on his come up, man. He would be at the comedy store every week at the shit called the Potluck. Like, he was one of the niggas that stuck with it for years and knew the value in it. And that shit changed his life, man. I'm so proud of you. That's all this game is, bro. Like, a lot of people, like, a lot of people, because, bro, I almost gave up. Like, especially, like, when ADD crashed and I had, like, my second kid on the way. And I told my baby mama at the time, I said, if I got to get a regular job, we might as well just move. Right. Yeah, I'm like, a job so yeah you just gotta and then when i was actually like consistent like going to the comedy store and i made that like my job and my thing then stuff started happening but a lot of people just lose like consistency and they'd be inconsistent and they get too caught up in the hang than actually like working and networking how long did you go hold on hold on hold on what what does that mean that sounds it was too much in the in the hang than working like Because like comedy shows are fun.

32:09Comedy clubs are fun. So, I mean, there's going to be weed passed around. There's going to be other drugs passed around. There's probably going to be free liquor. There's probably going to be a headliner that wants to buy you a drink. So if you got an issue and you just indulge in all of that and I see you fucked up, I'm not going to want to work with you. I feel attacked as fuck right now. I just think a lot of people don't. I think a lot of people get into this, whether it's rap or comedy or whatever, especially like a job where you don't have like a boss over your back. They get into it and they forget that it's an actual job and they go get fucked up and they go get high.

32:42And then it's like, now that's your persona and everybody knows you as the drunk nigga. I ain't gonna lie. Believe you me. That could be an issue and you're not known for being professional, dog. I always treat comedy like a fucking job. You know what I'm saying? And then you see like certain dudes like the Burt Chrysler's of the world. It's like, all right, you've found a way to really capitalize off of just being loaded like every night. And he's able to. So I feel like maybe that creates an illusion for a lot of people that are trying to be in that field. Like, oh, shit, like I see these fools.

33:17It's like I just said one name. But there's like a lot of comedians got addiction problems because we all come from broken backgrounds. So if you can capitalize on something like what Burt Chrysler did. But I mean, Bert has moments where he won't drink, but he's not sober right now. Right. Yeah. He's not on stage hammered. It might be a persona. And a lot of people forget that. Like the persona that I portray on stage might not necessarily be me. You know what I'm saying? So even if I like a lot of comedians use it as a as a as a crutch. They be like, oh, I just took a I just took an edible. Right.

33:46That way, if I fuck up, blame on the edible. Right. It's all good. You know what I'm saying? Do you feel like it's easy, though, to get lost in that persona? And then like, what are the ways? 100 percent, bro. 100 % it really is, bro. And comedy is such a dog-eat-dog world that your peers are not going to tell you you're fucking up. They're going to celebrate it. It's entertaining to watch. Smoke it all over here. Same thing over here. What I look like telling another drunk nigga, you should stop drinking. Keep drinking, nigga. I take everything. Keep drinking. Whatever opportunity you had, I'm getting that one too.

34:23That's how I look at it. You want to fucking crash and burn, crash and burn, bro. I got kids I got a few to take care of. Yeah. And let me ask you this. We were talking about this bleepy, but I want you to just like go a little bit deeper into it. Bleepy? Briefly. Oh, okay. Stump my mouth. Bleepy. Bleepy. So just to kind of explain to people what the potluck was at the comedy store. Oh, yeah. It was a show every week, right? And you can go up there and you can put your name basically in a hat. Not everybody's going up, but you know what I'm saying? I think like 100 and something, sometimes 200 people signed up for 10 spots for three minutes each.

34:59Three minutes. Trying to kill Tony X. How long did you go to that show faithfully in a row? Oh, every time they had it, I was there, bro, for like, I mean, I signed up for Kill Tony for like a year and a half. And it's a weird story, right? I always shout out to my boy, B.T. B. Tuck out in Atlanta, bro. I had became a door guy at the Comedy Store. in the time that I started my path to be a regular, I didn't want to go to Kill Tony. I was kind of like, fuck Kill Tony. I was like, man, I sign up for that shit all the time. I don't ever get picked. No, you never got picked. Yeah, I don't ever get picked.

35:30Why the fuck I want to go? He's like, man, just come with me. And I went with him and I fucking got picked and that's what started. He's like the good luck charm, essentially. Well, it's just like, I take everything as a lesson, bro. Like, it could have been, you know, my demise, but I, like, do something, especially the days you don't want to do it. When you feel like, when something is pulling you not to do it, make sure you do that extra hard that day. Does that ever like give you like, I could ask like all of you this, does it ever give you like anxiety like on decisions that you make because you know like say you had just did one thing differently that day, your whole life could be different.

36:02Like you know what I'm saying? But the fact that your man told you like, hey, we should go then you go do, it changes your life. But like is there like a parallel universe if you don't? Like that's why it just makes me hypersensitive on all the decisions I make because I'm like this shit could just be a butterfly effect. I mean also divine intervention has a great part to play and I mean I think that everybody's supposed to be something is going to be something regardless of how long it takes you to get there you might stop short of when you were just about to make it but I mean this is definitely an industry where the longer you're in it and you don't burn your name you're gonna eventually get something like we see all the niggas that we grew up watching are the ones killing it right now You know what I'm saying?

36:45Like the guys that are, you know, in their mid 40s, late 40s, early 50s are the ones that own everything. Killing it. But that's just how this shit goes. Yeah, I feel like that's kind of how the like life is kind of like we have those moments like we probably all throughout of our careers doing this type of thing. There's been like 10 to 20 moments where you're like, I made it, you know, saying I'm good. And then it's like, no, I'm actually not good. I have to keep working and busting my ass. It's kind of like you keep having those moments until you just capitalize the right way on the right time.

37:12But it's weird, though, bro. Like, I ain't gonna lie, bro. Like, the person that I am now, 10 years ago, that person was, is very proud of the person that I am now. And now all of my friends are also my peers, but they're also older than me. So it's like, I think to get to where I was at, which is at the bottom to like the middle to where you can see the top of the mountain. I think that's easier than from the middle of the mountain to the top. Explain that. Explain that. because like when you're at the bottom there's really nowhere else to go but up to go viral to get people to know your name to start making a living from doing comedy is very accessible if you're disciplined but to go from that to just say just just to say you go from making a good living$150 ,000 a year which is very obtainable now with the internet and live shows right so that's a lot of comedians are doing that but to go from the hundred fifty thousand dollars a year to the hundred fifty thousand dollars a show is a whole not a monster because there's like so many different factors that act in and it might just not well we know it's not just your talent one of those luck yeah it's kind of just luck has to play your team your team your the team that you surround yourself with well it's also there's so much like that mathematically makes sense because there's so few people that are at that level where they're getting paid that But we have the most we've ever had.

38:36Because right now I can name 20 comedians off bat who are doing theaters. Yeah, that$200 a year. $200 ,000 a month. Okay, shit. You know what I'm saying, bro? So this has got to be kind of like a renaissance, would you say, damn year? As far as closest to it. I think it's a renaissance. And I think also that every medium that does involve seeing someone live, I think right now we're just seeing the surface of it. But I think over the next like five to 10 years, especially with AI now, people are going to crave, even if they're not good, they're just going to crave to go see live human, human interaction.

39:14Yeah. Because we're losing that. Yeah. We're losing. AI is changing everything. I just feel like everything's fake now. So to have a real experience to actually see, oh, that's David on stage in the flesh. Like that's so valuable. I feel like the AI has increased the value of the reality. Yeah, it really does, bro, which like a lot of people hate it, but it's like, if you're a live performer, dog, like a podcast, Like think about how many people just like listening to a podcast, like just hearing a live voice, like to hear, you know, human diction between multiple humans. Well, and as the AI and similar, similar technology gains more and more prevalence and becomes more and more sophisticated, like the age of disinformation that we're living in just gets more and more expensive.

39:55Cause it's pretty much it. if you don't see something with your own two eyes in like flesh where i could like like no diddy touch it you feel me like if i can't do that then it's like it doesn't exist or it's compromised in some capacity at the very least we can't really believe that we see anymore no yeah it's kind pretty crazy it's like the post fact era i feel like people don't really even a lot of people don't even care if it's true it's just like oh yeah let me share this it's viral i don't care it's true it's gonna do numbers so i've got that sentiment so many times lately we have a society of headline reactionary people.

40:27For sure. As long as the headline reads good, they start reacting. Don't even know what the fuck went on. Yeah. Speaking of headlines, I wanted to get into this because you're a perfect person to ask about it and just share as much as you feel comfortable with. The Kevin Hart roast. So you were in the writer's room on that. Yeah. A lot of people caught some flack for some of the jokes, feeling like some of the jokes were over the line, offensive to some people that are no longer with us. Now, you as a professional roaster and as a person that was in the room, Can you give us some insight to what was the thought process behind some of this content that came out on the roast of Kevin Hart?

41:03I mean, I don't think there's no lines in comedy. I think that's the I think that's what comedy is about is where you fucking draw a line and then you purposely go over that and then come back. So I mean, bro, us as black people, we tend to be very reactionary, which is one of our biggest faults as a whole ethnic group, which does not do anything because as we all know, reacting with emotions costs money. It doesn't make you any fucking money. So that's I thought it was going to be a good lesson. Like maybe we should stop reacting to shit. Maybe maybe we should stop just right. Cancel them because it's so stupid.

41:42people are so stupid the more you say cancel somebody the more popular they're gonna get nobody has been canceled nobody and the more you try to cancel somebody you're just pushing their name in the fucking algorithm which is making them more money I think it's safe to say R. Kelly got canceled bro I guarantee if R. Kelly got out of prison right now he would sell out a tour he would definitely go be huge that's undeniable I'd be there what are you talking about you would go see R. Kelly nigga what I don't know if I could also they're trying to cancel you a bunch of times David so do you feel like you have that perspective because like you feel like shit they try to do it to me and they couldn't do it the first time it was scary because i got docs in the the house uh that i had my name it was when my mom was living in and my daughter lived there so outside of that that was like the only thing i'm like all right real life implications like what the fuck like attack me they're in my family alone i'm like attack me why y 'all releasing my mom's fucking number and fucking address right so i mean uh cancellation uh it was scary because you start questioning a lot especially if it's your first one and you're like is this real are people gonna stop fucking with me but then like all my shows were selling out so it's like oh this is not fucking real and the people that were talking about canceling me would have never came to see me anyway nah so who gives a fuck also don't y 'all feel like there's like a bit of a like a there's a lag when it comes to the general perception of people and when people are quote-unquote canceled like i by the time i became like well aware of your content and you were regularly in my algorithm you had gotten canceled and uncanceled and i wasn't even aware of it till after i was already you just got to keep going yeah the moment you stop is when they won like i don't know if y 'all know ben bank is he's a great comic from uh canada and uh this theater or a club canceled him in like minneapolis or somewhere minnesota and that skyrocketed like bro he's breaking records at comedy clubs now selling out nine ten shows a weekend yeah so it's like was was you even the the shane you know i'm saying the gillis shit with snl it's like that was obviously he's amazing but like that catapulted him you know in that controversy that was like the best cancelization for sure yeah the best case scenario it hardens you it definitely hardens you bro it definitely hardens you like jade you a little bit like leave you jaded a bit like you kind of like man fuck these people type of thing it made me go a little harder so now i really don't give a fuck what i said and you know what what I'm saying like it's like who are you like you know like bro like and now I'm I'm going to a lot of meetings and you know I talk to a lot of executives and you know especially like at Netflix or like that's what we want to bring back like they're they're like that's that's edgy comedy like because they're like bro we're trying to bring back like 90s humor like authenticity and then you got to think the world was better when you can make a good racist joke yeah and all of us make racist jokes like I got Mexican friends I say shit to them all the time they say shit to me I say the white boys that's the best comedy yeah for sure do you feel like it crosses the line when it's something like a George Floyd thing that was kind of just threw out there like not even necessarily that's Tony though but he just kind of threw it out there like it wasn't even a joke it was just a statement I get it do you think that was a good joke because it felt mean because it felt a little bit as just someone that's a comedy fan it felt a little bit like that wasn't a great joke he was going so well that I don't know like but that's Tony you know what I'm saying right right that's if I go watch a Tony show I know I'm going to hear something offensive and I know I'm going to hear something controversial and I know I'm going to hear something about a current topic and he's going to mix those three together.

45:09So he knows his audience. I think the energy was a little bit forced and that's kind of like the special energy that people are kind of having an issue with it. It seems like at this point he like is too aware of that and is too forefront with that like I'm here to offend everybody type of thing and it's like we don't like that energy. I mean, he waited. It was towards the end of his set. The rest of the other stuff was killer, but on the same token, Pete Davidson is fine with you talking about his deceased father. Cheryl Underwood sat there and took jokes about her deceased husband. Some of the best jokes of the night were about that.

45:51You know what I'm saying? And she was laughing at it. And then, guess what? When she got her turn, she came up there and fucking killed him. And then she came on Kill Tony. So there was no animosity. Went on Shane's podcast. There was no animosity. It was the problem. The problem that I think with the world and especially social media is that the wrong people get mad for the wrong ethnic groups. Chelsea Handler. Chelsea was the most mad. Chelsea Handler went out there and fucking virtue signal for black people. And then. Well, she has taken a lot of, you feel me, black dick to make it. At the same token, let each ethnic group hold their own responsibility.

46:31Yeah, but I guess that was in her head. That's why. What else would even tell her? That's like the white savior complex. Yeah, for sure. On a two-week tirade that these white guys are disgusting. It pisses me off that she was able to go and make all this money from Chelsea lately. And if you've ever seen that show. Yeah. The fuck are we talking about? Yeah, offensive jokes behind, left, right. What are we talking about? Did she have a Hispanic assistant? Yeah. She's like ordering around. But it happens a lot, bro. Like white people go and make buku money and not just white people, maybe some other ethnic groups, but white people go and make buku money and they got 50, 60 M's sitting in the bank.

47:04They got their house in the hills, their fucking nanny or whatever, their house cleaning lady, their fucking assistant and they don't got to worry about shit no more and their life is going so good now that they're like, oh, what should I do? Virtual signal for black people. You don't really give a fuck. Yeah. Well, that's their way of being involved. Exactly. Include me in the topic. We're still cool. We're still down to earth And I think it does come from like, if you look at, cause this is really like a liberal thing, right? We're talking about Democrats nine times out of 10 in this instance.

47:32Right. And if you look at it, like going back, like I know that my parents' generation and people like they had great intentions, positive intentions. They really meant like, okay, we're, we're, we're helping. But at a certain point, that it's like coming off crazy. Society's like evolved past that in a certain point. It's like, now you're just being a little bit patronizing and like tone deaf. If you go back and talk, because I'm from the South, the deep South, where according to today's society, I should have been hung. Right. I never experienced racism until I came to L.A. Oh, wow. Never. Never.

48:07And I heard, bro, I never got called an N-word till I moved to L.A. I never felt like my life was in jeopardy because of my skin color until I moved to L.A. if they're in the south bro white people who don't fuck with niggas you know they don't fuck with niggas or they'll tell you and what do you do stay the fuck away from them the most dangerous one is the one who smiles in your face and secretly hates you that's the most scariest shit I'd rather deal with outright racism than subliminal racism I'd rather deal with that any day of the week I never had an issue when I went to school with whites and blacks so even though it's like whites that quote unquote made it clear that they ain't fuck with you.

48:46They wasn't saying no racial slurs. I hung around a lot of white boys who never called me the N-word but would use it to try to be cool. And I think that's just teenage stupidity. And I still know a lot of these guys and they would never say it now. They've matured. Are we talking soft A or hard R or both? Nigga. You know what I'm saying? Like rapping. Or shut up nigga to their homeboy, to another white boy. You know what I'm saying? But like it was worse out here, bro. Like we both know, bro. I can't, well, maybe now that I'm a comedian, but I used to couldn't go to the east side of LA. Okay.

49:19Yeah. Because there's racial tension. Yeah. But now that I'm a comedian, they know I'm the funny guy. I'm no threat. But, you know, just from the quick visual, bro. Armenians here in LA. Okay. But that's another thing too. So from over here in LA, we have hella different races. So, and they're kind of like. You get it from so many different angles. Yeah, and they're very aware of like, because like, they all kind of stick to themselves and kind of standoffish in a way. Well, yeah, if you look at other really diverse cities, like the Bay Area, New York, they have like a gang of races, but they all talk the same.

49:57Every person in the Bay Area, if you're from the streets, they all sound like they're black pretty much. And I never heard Mexican saying nigga until I came over here, which is very common, which is like is par for the course out here. And also in the South, bro, you get beat the fuck up if you're not black saying nigga. Out in public. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But out here, I see Hispanics saying nigga. And the first time I saw that, it took me, I'm like, but then I saw everybody. I'm like, oh, okay. Everybody was cool with you. Yeah, I'm like, oh, my bad. This is what y 'all do. I'm not going to lie.

50:29I'm guilty of it myself. And I try. It's not like I'm going to like. I've been out here so long. And I've been conditioned to LA. I became an adult here. I moved here as a teenager. So I've been around enough Hispanics to know that it's not coming from an evil place. If you were like, what's up, my nigga? I would dap you up. I wouldn't be ready to fight you. You know what I'm saying? Would you consider yourself an LA comedian? This is where it happens. Tupac conversation. That was just a Tupac debate from earlier. You were arguing earlier. I was just applying a stupid. I mean, bro, I think it's kind of like where you get your grit.

51:08You know what I'm saying? It's like Puig. He's from Cuba. But where would they say he learned how to play baseball? I don't know. Right. No, but here's the thing, though. Okay. But a lot of people, I feel like, categorize you or attempt to, like in the Austin category now. He's like, oh, you part of the Austin comedy scene. Yeah. I get it. here's my thing bro if y 'all call me awesome comedian i'm not gonna correct you if you call me la comedian i'm not gonna disagree or correct you it just is what it is i'm just david yeah i'm just me bro if you had to pick one which one you're picking what austin or la um if i was not trying to do movies and if i was not trying to create stuff i would take austin all day uh because of the stage time and the quality of stage time and the opportunities that you get but like here in LA I get to go to more auditions, meet with more people just on a regular basis.

52:07So like it just, it all depends on like what you want out of your career. Like same conversation with New York versus LA. Like what the fuck do you want? Do you want to be a choppy fast paced comedian and go to New York? You're going to get maybe fucking six, seven mics a night. Yeah. So it's like, what do you want, bro? Right. I remember Brent. Shout out Brent Taylor. Shout out my boy Brent Taylor. He understood like because when I first met a lot of LA people they told me that I was rude because like how we talk from the south like and Brent like what I thought y 'all were more polite but it's it's it's just our vernacular it's just the words because like in the south we're like what up bitch oh yeah yeah yeah yeah Brent thought it was disrespect and then he said I went to Georgia everybody said what up bitch what up because I hear like you might you tell that to a grown man.

52:53It might be a problem. In Florida, it's bitch. Yeah, in Dallas. If you cool with somebody, it's bitch. Like, what's up, bitch? Pools call their homies. Like that. But it ain't no disrespect. It's like, this is talking shit. You tripping. You know what I'm saying? Hey, bitch. It's the same way Mexicans in LA be like, what's up, dick? Yeah, hey, dick. It's the same shit. Come on, dick. I wanted to ask you this too, David, then we can open it up to whatever else y 'all want to talk about. So, Hinchcliffe just dropped a special. Man of the people. I have my critiques of it, but I think my critiques of it really kind of stirred from, I think, and I got two questions I want to ask.

53:32Did you watch it biased or unbiased? I watched it just with a clean slate. Did you watch or did you watch reaction videos? I watched the whole thing. We watched it on Netflix. We watched the whole thing. So what it just was is that I think it's so new to see specials with a lot of crowd work in it. Sometimes people are doing full length crowd work specials. I think Matt Rife might've done one. Big day did. Nate Jackson. Yeah. And I think they're just so brand new that it's kind of hard to, you know, gauge it. So those are my two questions. I haven't seen it yet. Is it full crowd work? It's not full crowd work, but it's like maybe 60, 40.

54:08The last, like what, 20 minutes maybe? He gets into crowd work. It was just all like, you know, and it's just, but that, so I wonder why, okay, I didn't know that you hadn't saw it, but do you - But I mean, I've seen like, what i can say before you say it is um what i can say about any recorded thing is watching uh a recording of someone special is maybe 60 to 70 percent of the actual special you won't even get the there's not enough that you can do in your house to to uh replicate the feeling of actually being there and what i will say is bro i've been on the road with tony plenty of times and he kills it every time.

54:45So some people, like Theo Vaughn. Theo Vaughn murders. And then people would be like, oh, his special is bad. Well, go watch him live. That's the best way to kind of gauge somebody. Why do you think that changed? Because we used to watch them on Comedy Central and we thought they were bangers, you know what I'm saying? Killing me softly, things like that. Because we're in a TikTok society now. So it's just got to be that short to the punch. We're in a 15, 30-second society. but what were you about to say about it though boy huh no no no so I had sorry about that I was just checking on my notes but no no no I'm saying so the bigger question is you watch this whole special do you think as somebody who is a touring comedian right now that crowd work is somehow bleeding and killing stand up because now this is my argument this is a crowd work guy right here and that's why I'm asking because now like with a person like me that doesn't really do a ton of crowd work I'll just kind of get into my material but people are kind of getting accustomed to being a part of the show now so a motherfucker might yell some shit out.

55:50What I can say about comedy now bro I feel like people who get it now evolve and people I think a lot of people try to have nostalgic values of comedy specials right? People there's more famous people right now than there probably was our whole childhood and teenage years. People are blowing up every month so you are put in a spot to produce this entity that I need to put to the world where before the olden days you didn't get a special until you were 10-15 years in. Yeah. If you're lucky. I ain't even been doing comedy that long so I would still have like 3-4-5 more years before you even see a special from me you know what I'm saying because they went around the fucking world perfecting that special all the way to the breaths and the pauses.

56:40So now you're getting a special that somebody might have to produce in say 18 months which isn't going to be as worked out as a 10 to 12, 15 year special and not to mention comedians nowadays we got to master social media, we got to have a fucking podcast, we got to fucking run ads, we got to do this there's so much more involved with being a comedian now that I think comedians should get a little grace we can't be the Richard Pryors or the Red Foxes or the 2006 Bill Burt. It's not possible. Just like when you see music nowadays, it ain't Al Green. We don't got that struggle, nigga. I didn't wake up in the morning and wonder was I going to be killed for my skin color?

57:22So I don't got that struggle to produce no Al Green music. I don't got the struggle to produce James Brown music. What I do have is this, and this is my representation of what I do have through the struggles that I've been through. We can never replicate that. We can't. The timing. They were actually going through real shit. Real shit nowadays is nigga, Instagram down, I can't post. You know what I'm saying? They plant my account. I can't get my blue check back. They had to make music powerful enough to move white people. To come see them. Stop being racist and fuck with them. And niggas had to be through the back.

58:02So they had to make music for that. I'm going to make this to entertain these white people. But the niggas in the back going to be grooving to it a little differently. I've seen Louis CK talking about on a pod. He was one of those guys that he's like, I used to spend 10 years before I drop a special. But he said he started to feel like soulless. You know what I'm saying? Like he was just going through the motions. And he's kind of the first like top dog that started dropping every year. And kind of put that pressure on comedians to be like, yo, we got to come every year now. We can't do that no more.

58:27I think we should give comics a little more leeway and give them their own identity. Like, instead of, like, people be like, you will never be Patrice. Nigga, that's not even my favorite comic. Right. I ain't never emulated him. I've never, I can't repeat his specials word for word. Like, I'm not, like, just give me my identity. It's because you're a big black dude, don't you? Right, right, right. I'm Patrice. I feel like that's just, like, human nature. Yeah. we try to this guy should be like this guy oh that nigga like Kevin Hart oh he like Chris no he's just DC Young Fly ain't that also kind of like the greatest entertainer of all time ain't that I'm on record for saying that ain't that across to Bear DC Young Fly I don't know him this is why I say I never want people to get a misconstrued I've worked around a dude I've worked around the greats I've been around you I've been around Tony Baker I've been around all these cats he said he's better than Jamie Foxx more talented than Jamie Foxx that's what he said listen to what I'm saying by the way we can move on Before, yeah.

59:24Yeah, I just want to like end the preamble. I don't think he would agree with that. No, he wouldn't. That's why it's very unfair to this young man. He might call your fade out. I'm not going to lie. Very unfair to this young man. They're misrepresenting what I said. I said they're both hyphenates. They both do several different things. And if I match all of their different things that they do together, He never used the word hyphenate in his life, first of all. I would edge it. I would edge it. Because DC can play drums. He can rap. He can act. Nigga, I can play the drums, but I've never played drums.

59:53I've never played drums But some type of way I know I can play the drums Nigga that's the wrong instrument to use In somebody's defense You might be better than Jamie Foxx He can play the drums Nigga another decent young flyer That's the joke He has He can Come on Bro he can This is the greatest The nigga can dance He can sing He can sing He can rap He can sing He can rap You need a tuba in there or something He can do improv He can do He can do improv He can do stand up Like And that's what I was comparing it to, like, pound for pound. Jamie Foxx. With everything. Don't you feel like people that try and do everything, they can't ever really be great at one thing?

1:00:29Master of none. No. Unless you're like Jamie Foxx. And he won Grammys and Oscars. And Tony and Emmy. And I see that in DC. Yeah. We'll see that in DC. You will never see another Jamie Foxx, bro. Ever. That's what I was trying to say. So that was my only point. We love you, Jamie. No, that's not what the fuck you was saying. That's the opposite of what you were saying. I'm going to let you get it all for your friend and home. We know the truth. Yeah, you can actually cook. It's good. We'll never see another Jamie Foxx. We'll never see another Denzel Washington. Right. How I look at those things, bro, is like pressure creates diamonds.

1:01:01Right. You can never, once diamonds are done, that's it. You can make lab diamonds. And that's what we have a world of now. Lab diamonds. They look and shine just as bright, but they're not a diamond. Moissanites, if you will? No, lab diamonds, nigga. That's different than moissanites? Yeah, kind of. But they're more valuable than moissanites. Yeah. Oh, okay, gotcha, gotcha. They're actual diamonds. They're just creating a lab. Now we have a world full of lab diamonds. Those before us were actual diamonds. You only create that under pressure. We don't have that pressure. Because a nigga can go get a bag off of Instagram or YouTube and then go to a movie.

1:01:38Shine bright like some voice tonight. This nigga Denzel was in plays. Right. You know what I'm saying? Erasing in his... Yeah, it wasn't that fooling off fellow or some shit like that? Yeah. Even John Boyega, who's close, but he's not Denzel. Right. We can't get that again, bro. It's just whatever is needed to make that don't exist no more. Whatever carbon was in the earth at that time. The elements aren't around no more. That's okay, though. You know what I'm saying? So you don't think we got no future legends coming out on that level? I didn't say that. Just in that level for those. What I'm saying is of the same substance.

1:02:16Gotcha. We will have people who are bigger. Like, LeBron James is much bigger than Jordan ever was, but he's not Jordan. You know what I'm saying? He doesn't have that subject. Right. He's just better. It's like the Michael Jackson effect. You know what I'm saying? Like, nobody's going to be as big as that. I don't know if you can say better. No, he can. And then also. He's more physically imposing, but he don't got that killer in him. He's played more games. He's scored more points. All right. We don't need the Jordan LeBron. Bro, we can even break it down psychologically. He was raised by a single mama.

1:02:45Yeah. Jordan had mama and daddy. What they got to do with their own credibility? Because, nigga, if you out there running sprints, when you look tired and you sweating and you breathing hard, your mom goes, come here, baby. Get some of the drinks. Yeah, look at Jalen Brunson. Yo daddy going to be like, hey, nigga, you got five more. Yeah. It's a difference. So that's what gave him that killer instinct? No, I said we could even make that argument. Okay, I got you. Yeah, I don't know what it gave it to him. Right. Somebody else I've seen y 'all smutting on the news today is Jay-Z, but his Blueprint show set the record for most tickets ever sold for a concert at Yankee Stadium, selling a total of over 45 ,000.

1:03:20It broke Hov's record set at the Reasonable Doubt show on Friday. Niggas was hating on it? Which sold about 45 ,000. I wasn't hating on that. I was hating on the freestyle. He keep dropping these freestyles and they ain't hitting nearly as hard. Jay-Z is grinding at that. He's 50? 56. Yes. Come on, bro. No, 56 with a bulletproof vest on, rapping. It's like, ain't nobody trying to shoot your old ass, ho. You was aiming the finger gun at the no jumper camera right out there. Bro, me. Yeah, you're ready to break shit down. I ain't 56, motherfucker. Cuticle edges. Just shave the beard and you look at a little 56.

1:03:50I ain't gonna lie. The nigga's giving some grace. He's 56. And he's still killing it. Well, why is he on stage with a bulletproof vest on? Maybe he needs some bread. I don't know. New York is dangerous. Yeah, Kendrick was doing about 50 ,000 a night. He's doing 46 ,000 a night. I mean, that's pretty fucking good. And we can get into an argument about Kendrick. I mean, I know it's in New York. Oh, you already know. Man, I know Ross has a very... I'm team Drake. Ross, what's up, bro? Ross hates Jay-Z. Ross has got a good one to take. I don't hate Jay-Z, but they said they was gonna wheel out all these stats.

1:04:19Oh, it's the biggest show ever. But it's like, I swear Jay-Z himself was talking about, I don't want to be rapping after 40. And was it 56? 56, yeah. It's just like, he's supposed to be this big billionaire guy and now he back popping ass on stage with Beyonce again. Yeah. It's just not the thing that Jay-Z I thought we were gonna have at this stage in his career. That's all I'm saying. I didn't see any other billionaires doing it. He did sell a lot of tickets. As he said, I sold out. Yeah, I sold out. Okay, so let's be realistic. Is it going to significantly affect his business portfolio? Okay, obviously not.

1:04:50But they brought him out. He's only doing this to be like, look, I still got it, kids. What's wrong with having – why are we looking down on somebody that is widely considered the greatest of all time, still trying to keep his skill set sharp and rock off stage? How is that a negative in any capacity? I'd like to see him put out a number one song. I don't think he can. He can't. He probably won't, but I think that should be bigged up. But what I don't like is him giving a bunch of bars to Tony Busby. It's like, we don't want to hear that, my guy. Why not? We don't want to hear your Nicki Minaj bars either.

1:05:23Why? Because it's just beneath him. Yeah, why are you talking about it? When are you going to address the Epstein list, though? He ain't going to address him being on the Epstein list. Bro, I mean, bro, Jay-Z is 56. Our ears are conditioned to Drake. Our ears are not even conditioned to that type of rhyme scheme anymore. Drake put the battery in his back for this whole thing. But I'm just saying, bro. You did. It's just like the argument. Our ears are not conditioned for that. Our ears are not. With kids' television programming, bro, they like flashing lights and certain sounds. Our ears are conditioned for melodic music with 808s.

1:05:58Jay-Z ain't got that because he came from a different era. In a way, yeah. That is such an astute fucking observation. I hate to say it. In a way, though, but like T.I.'s new album's Fire As Fuck. OG doing it well. But T.I. comes from the South where there's been prevalent 808s. I'm saying his style is more like giving you them bars on hard ass beats. And I love Tip, but Tip came out in like, what, 2001, 2002? About the 80s. I mean, exactly. I mean, and realistically, Reasonable Doubt dropped in 96, although he was rapping. You know what I think about, bro? When I go to parties, right? And they play old nostalgic music.

1:06:34In the moment at that party, it's great. I'll try to listen to that shit in my car and turn it off. Yeah, yeah. Like, bro, compared to what we listen to now, it's like, oh, this is, like, yeah, it's too much. Well, exactly. Also, you also don't want to hear, you could be at a funeral, and you don't want to hear, give it to me, baby. You feel me, like, at the funeral. It depends on, if it's your funeral, then I do. Well, yeah, exactly. Smoke that pack. I'm just saying. On a regular day basis. The point is, music is very environmental, and our perception of it is determined by it. It makes us feel something.

1:07:07Yeah. It makes us feel something, bro. like half of the songs we listen to as kids are garbage. I can't listen to Eminem no more. When I was a JIT, I was, when I was a JIT, I listened to that shit all the time. Bitch, I'm a kill you. You don't want to fuck with me. That's in my workout mix. Well, that's, that's, that's, that's, you see how good it's working? Yeah.

1:07:28D-Wade Lomb right there. That was, that was live sitting there. Come on, bro. Come on. Yeah, come on, bro. Shit. That's what I tie my shoes to. Trap, When you listen to Jay-Z, what emotions does it invoke? I haven't listened to Jay-Z in years, man. Come on. The only album I like of Jay-Z is the live one. Which one? The Unplugged? With Mary J. Sanger. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's the only... I can listen to that, like, loud. You don't fuck with the Black Album or Blueprint? There's a hard one. Or 444? I'm from the South. I'm from the South, nigga. You not get jiggy with that shit? Bro, I did not grow up on that.

1:08:03Bitch, put on some trick, daddy, nigga. What? We from Florida and Georgia, bro. Put on some trick, some goddamn Project Pat, Rick Ross. There wasn't a ton of people in sax slapping Jay-Z on a daily basis. I don't know why niggas act like that. No, later it was. Yeah, I was super duper famous. You know who converted me to listening to Jay-Z? Kanye West. I didn't used to like Jay-Z's beats before. I feel like he had a terrible big ear. First of all, Hard Knock Life was everywhere. It was completely on track. But the beats were trash. It doesn't matter. But the beats were trash, though. Oh, yeah, the beats were trash.

1:08:39At the time, they were hitting, though. To be fair, they were hitting. Black album. I like Cam 'ron over Jay-Z. Wow. Yes. That's not a crazy take. I go to a Cam 'ron concert before I go to a Jay-Z concert. Really? That probably is going to be lit. But also, I don't have no emotional ties to Jay-Z. I was like, when I was like. I do. I do. When I was like at elementary school, nigga, Dipset was the nigga. elementary middle, Dipset was that shit. I listen to it a lot. I love Dipset. This did look lit. He brought out Eminem one night. He brought out, you know what I'm saying? I go to that for free.

1:09:11All kinds of people. I go to that for free. So you being from the South, though, what are your thoughts on like, is Outkast still fire? Because that's like, or is that too old? Certain songs, but like all the Aquamini, that was, that's like, the Quimini. Okay. That old Havre was called. But that was like before, I mean, but I will vibe to like Dungeon Family. CeeLo Green is one of my, like, bro, Kilo, like, there's a lot of - Kilo Ali. Kilo Ali, yes. Come on, talk about that. It's got to be the right songs, though. There's a lot of niggas like from the South that y 'all ain't going to know I hear that I'd be like, bro, I'd rather listen to that before I listen to that.

1:09:47It just wasn't popular. Like, Kilo Ali, baby, baby. Love in Your Mouth? What the fuck? That's one of the best fucking blowjob songs of all time. I met this girl in Atlanta, let me play in her mizal. She'll get my dicks with his arm. They never go sizzle. Sizzle. house i've never heard this bro hey let's just let's get back to the point at hand right what i'm trying to say get back to it jay-z's the motion that jay-z has right now is like a marketing campaign he not as relevant as he trying to make out he hasn't had a hit in years and all of this look i mean like look at this academics said this is exactly what they was going to do they were going to wheel out all these stats and say jay-z's so he's so relevant like that reasonable doubt reissue didn't really do didn't really do what they said it was going to do he ain't going to be able to do a number one like Drake.

1:10:27And basically it's Drake versus Jay-Z. Drake said the jig is up and then Jay-Z started dancing and doing this campaign nonstop. And I personally feel like it's inauthentic. Like this isn't what people are really checking for. Nah, shout out to G-Pops. Let him, you feel me? He's still getting his... G-Pops. I'm saying like shout out to Grandpa. You feel me? He's still getting his... He's still out here doing his dougie on these hoes. You were really island hopping back then? I'm just saying the only person that could... Drake is ho still. Let me ask you this. Let me ask you this. Drake just had a number one song talking about the jig is up.

1:11:01He's never had a solo number one. Let me ask you this. Let me ask you this. Okay, because the first technical number one is Empire State of Mind. He needs a feature. He needed someone to put it in his hand. If Jay-Z goes at Drake, is he punching up or punching down? If Jay-Z goes, ooh. He's punching up. He's punching Young. Down and legacy one. Wait, wait, say it again. Say it again. If Jay-Z goes at Drake, is he punching up or punching down? Let me ask you that too. Punching up. Up? Sure. Only niggas that's going to think if they battle only niggas that's going to think that he won is like 45 and over.

1:11:34That's me. There's a reason Drake didn't respond to that freestyle, man. Drake didn't give that freestyle no oxygen. Drake was like, that was whack. Yeah, I heard he said that shit ass and don't even get a response. And you know what though? The thing is, I bet you Drake in his heart is like, oh, still geeking. He can't say that publicly, you feel me? Yeah, but we all know how hard he is saying that. Drake is saying Pops is off his rock up But with how hard he glazed him for like 10 years Man no he Look There's only gonna be one person There's only gonna be one person that young people are still listening to when he's 57 56 and that's Kanye because he's ahead of his time musically Kanye got way bigger hit maker and artistic visionary than Jay-Z If also Jay-Z would have brought out Kanye then it would have been lit But I think this Jay-Z album is gonna be better than Bully if he drops you didn't like bully the album i didn't love it great you gotta you gotta it was like chill music to study too you gotta drive with it let me ask you guys this question let me let me pose a question so if drake engages with jay-z and beats him he won't he just did hold on if they actually go back and forth with some records it's looking bleak right and he beats him no there you go does that erase some of the stench from the kendrick loss no wait what no this is if he whoops out old jay-z if he whoops out jay-z is what he said i mean i doesn't make you be like okay well he still beat ho no because i think that's what iceman did no bro yeah that's what iceman i don't know bro because this would be like a cherry and all honestly when you go listen to those those uh diss tracks from kendrick and and drake low-key Kendrick only won like one song but that one song was so big right that you couldn't release shit after not like us but for the same reason not like us smoked Drake that's why Janice smokes Jay-Z he had a number one hit that was non-stop in rotation talking about the jig is up yeah so it's like the way that not like us smoked Drake Janice STF oh yeah basically smoked Jay-Z the same way Jay-Z can't hit back with number one the same way Drake couldn't hit not like us with But the fact that you're even like debating this and giving it any like credence whatsoever shows that like, hey, Hov is the old headed.

1:13:49That's so goaded. Hov got violated. He still ain't clapped back. What? That freestyle with no beat is a clap back. He's still down a million points right now. But like bro said, this is an old ass man. And he's doing this for fun. Like we don't look like he having fun. He looks stressed. Nah, this fool's having the time of his life. He loved this shit, bro. He took the locks out. He let his hair down. Let me sell out Yankee Stadium for fun, gang. He's a corporate entity that can sell out Yankee Stadium three nights in a row. He is at a level where he can do that. That's not impressive. You know what?

1:14:20The ultimate, you can really say Jay-Z is the king is if he does the same shit at SoFi. Okay. No, that would be hard. I don't know if he can. It's LA, bro. You know what? I saw Hov in 2017 at, I think it was like the motherfucking sports arena. Which is 20 ,000. That's significantly smaller. You feel me? So I don't know. 2017 is off of the bat. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Not too far away from the Kanye and Jay-Z album. Yeah, literally. Which was the last time it was probably relevant to young people. Yeah, that's true. Because 444 was like the mature album. Yeah, that wasn't for you. It sounded like a therapy session.

1:14:59It was like a business handbook. And they're saying that Jay was lying on Cap, Kaepernick. You know what I'm saying? He was saying some things that weren't true about Kaepernick and that he was like signing certain contracts that Kaepernick is now saying he didn't. Kaepernick thinks low-key diabolical. When you actually break it down. They kind of just pay him to shut the fuck up. Well, that's what Jay-Z was saying. Break down the Kaepernick thing a little bit. Jay-Z supposedly told him like, just kick back. Like, I'll help you, you know what I'm saying? And then Charlemagne dropped that clip of that meeting where he's like, hey, Jay-Z, are you going to get Kaepernick back in?

1:15:31He was like, that ain't really my position. He said, we passed Neil in, bro. I'm in the building. I'm working for the NFL now. Who? and then he said and then he put Kendrick and not like us on the Super Bowl halftime performance man Jay Z's diabolical with it but he on some corporate boardroom shit we ain't trying to see him do like dancing on stage but he has been doing solid with the Super Bowl yeah the Kendrick thing was like a shot at Drake you know what I'm saying but other than that he has been picking you know pretty good acts you needed Jay Z to put him in that position right no for sure yeah yeah but we all need to you know they all ganged up on Drake and then Drake still getting a number one Jay Z Jay Z need to make amends with Kanye he do That Kanye concert, bro.

1:16:09If you went to that, what other concert can I see? You don't think that Ye would just be very accepting of the prospect of reconnecting with Hope? Depending on what does you catch Kanye? They should, man. Which Kanye you get? Okay, what's going on, Ross? Kanye was on stage talking about Jay-Z gonna send his hitters up my head. I don't even want to say it, but Kanye said, your kids are retarded. Yeah. You get the definite. Hold on though. Hold on. We got to shoot. Hold on. Not me. I don't know. We got to come back from that. No, we got to. Hold on. Who told you kids are retarded? Hold on. Youngest child.

1:16:49We have to look at things in context though. Kanye. Kanye is bipolar. That is a byproduct of things that bipolar people do when he's not on his meds. If he's under the influence, he might say some goofy shit. I don't think that we should hold that against him because that's a part of his mental illness. So David says your daughter's retarded, but he's having a mental breakdown. You patching it up with David afterward. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, like you upset, like, bro, like... Oh, so what if Smody told you that, what his statement, he was having a mental health issue? I would understand. I would understand you a JB.

1:17:20I would understand that a little bit more. I'd be like, okay. You couldn't imagine Jay-Z, the corporate level that he's at. He would never, ever let Kanye back into his circle. I understand that. I hate too much of a... I'm just saying that... He kind of can't because, like, also bro that's like Jay-Z's on a I don't think any of us can quite even grasp like where he's at like for sure making billion dollar moves like that ain't even in my in my wheel room in my brain like to even I know how I got to move at the money I make so I can only imagine how I need to move at that level Kanye got to sit down with like 10 rabbis to get back to with Jay-Z I mean nah yeah yeah more money than Jay at some point this is why I always get like a little sensitive around the Kanye topic because that's something that hits close to me because I myself am bipolar and without going too deep into it like me and David have been friends for 10-15 years at this point.

1:18:08I had to pick this nigga up at 4am. He didn't see me like tweak the fuck out like you know what I'm saying but he know like he was one of the people that I had told before you know the world even found out and it was just like I know that when you're in that state of mind it ain't nothing nobody could tell you like you could just. Have you told him everything? Not always. I love the shit. Tell us. details. Go ahead. Let's go. So I suffer from like, you know, like manic depressive and anxiety. Used to take meds for it, but not anymore. But I knew he was going through an episode. He called me. Well, he called me to his house and it was like 12.

1:18:47And, you know, I try to sit with my boy when I can or anybody that need, you know, a moment. So we sitting together and we drinking and I'm like fucked up. And he's like, I'm ordering at a bottle. Nah, nigga, what the fuck? And then he get really, really drunk. He like, nigga, I'm stupid as fuck. I'm like, what? He's like, I proposed to a bitch today. I'm like, what? I'm like, what? He said, I bought her the ring and everything. I'm like, nigga, what? When did you meet her? Like, last week. I'm like, nigga. I said, hey, bro. It was a ring light. It was nice. It was chunky, man. I had to get that motherfucker back.

1:19:21That was the one you asked for back. I heard that. I told you. It just confirmed it. But that was me in a manic episode. No one heard. But also, that also got rid of a great situation he had. Bro. I would never think he could replicate that one again. I can't. Like a woman. Yes. I lost him, man. The love of your life. Bro, the one. The one. Bad. Domestic. Man. I'm talking about go to his house, niggas. Domestic. Hey, bro. Is this what you... Tell him. Tell him. Tell him. Clean up. But I'm talking about for her age, nigga, like, how you know? Like, you were trained to be a housewife. I'm talking about what you need, David.

1:19:59I be feeling uncomfortable when another nigga's bitch is bringing me something. Like what you trying to do? Not even like that, but I would never let my girl bring you a drink. Nigga, I'd make your drink before I let my girl. But she's like, you need something to drink? Pour in it. Oh, thank you. And I'm looking at it. Oh, it's cool. Okay, cool. So now I can't assume. No spinning back? No chance of spinning back. I don't think he can. I don't think he can. You know, nigga. You're out of state. She married. I lost. She ain't married, but. But what I'm telling you is that you can lose a lot of shit in a manic state.

1:20:30And that's why I love my brother. Because, you know, back when I was going through shit, like, you know, he seen me in some compromising positions. Never once, like, put that shit up. Never, like, once put the shit out there. Like, always been a solid nigga. But what I can say is when people go through manic episodes, you just got to be patient with them. Like, you know what I'm saying? Let them get back on their meds. Let them get some rest. And it might be. Yeah, we accept you now. You just almost just fade like a month ago. I love you, man. I love the guy. great. Where do we draw the line with acceptance of people?

1:20:58And this is coming from someone with his own. You should do it at all. It could be a dangerous situation. That's what I'm saying. Like, I would never because, I mean, you got to think the American Sniper died like that. Yeah. I would never. I mean, but I've been knowing this nigga so long. You're not going to take Dope Boy to the gun range anytime soon. And also, it's like, if I know I can beat you up, nigga, I'll come to you. Like, if I really gotta do it. I really gotta do it. If you grab a gun, I know you ain't got no gun. If you grab a knife, I know you ain't for the get-bits. You gotta kind of weigh the options.

1:21:34One of his, he has a super advanced delusion in a manic state, and all of a sudden he thinks he's Clint Eastwood, and he starts talking about make my day. I'd be shook. I'm a nigga that carries a gun everywhere. Y 'all have a shootout in that motherfucker. It's like, bitch, I know I go to the range all the time. Okay, girl. I'm damn near a white boy would have come to guns. That's very the south of you. That's very the south of you. Oh yeah. You want me to pull some shit up? Where's the mouse at? If you just go to the document that other... WJZ. I say if you know somebody with bipolar, bro, don't even put yourself in that situation.

1:22:15Don't even be around that type shit. We should not fuck with no boys. I ain't saying that. He don't do what he used to do. Yeah, like two weeks ago. I'm glad that somebody's like actually having a real take on this. If we need to support everyone, then. No, for sure. You're going to be dead as hell. Because like also a lot of people that are bipolar. I have a lot of people in my family like that. They are aware to a certain extent to where they'll use that shit to their advantage and act like they was going through something just to get some shit off on you sometimes. A lot of people use it now.

1:22:43A lot of people, we live in a society where everybody want to be autistic. Yeah. Everybody. And if you look at dating profiles, every bitch put, I'm on the spectrum, BPD. Yeah, yeah. Bipolar disorder. It's a shortcut to being special. That's what she knows she got good for. Shortcuts? It's a shortcut to being special. So nobody will treat you weird, but they'll be nice to you. But you're in this club. Exactly. You're in this invisible club because, oh, well, I said that. Well, bitch, you ain't never been slapped in the mouth before. Well, yeah. We know you. We actually know that you give really good head now because you have this on your bio.

1:23:14No, that's true. But bro, like, I grew up in the South, nigga. there's a reason that shit didn't exist back in the day because niggas was beating on they bitch that bitch be bipolar all she want on the ground

1:23:28or like buy some detergent buy florida that shit didn't exist back in the day we let these hoes start working and now they got all this shit I ain't gonna buy it I don't know I heard about hysteria back in the day it looked like they was tweaking back then too but it was different though bro women had more couth and they had more elegance about themselves and they held themselves together they actually women take a lot of responsibility because like back in the day bro the big every nigga back in the day damn near had a secret family especially in the south and was cheating and it was the woman's responsibility to still make that family look good at holidays and on Sunday going to church and she would just women took a lot of shit back then they would just put all that shit in the back of their mind go get their kids dressed, maybe shade their fucking husband and make the family look acceptable in front of everybody while still you know what I'm saying?

1:24:23Even though you know he out there doing bunk, he got a whole other family. Because we, bro, women have found themselves nowadays and it's a it's good and bad to it because now some of the men have fucked up that women expect all of us to be fuck ups. You know what I'm saying? And they've kind of got away from... They don't trust us. They've kind of got away from the whole nucleus family. So that's not even you got it. It's rare, bro. That's like when I talk about he found one that was ready for that. You don't really find. Oh, yeah, it's hard because most of them from our generation, maybe in 44, got snatched up two decades ago.

1:25:03And like that moral and standard for society at large is pretty much out the window. And men back then was putting so many babies in a bitch that they would make them undesirable. Yeah, exactly. by the time fucking Clarabelle gets divorced, like, who's even trying to smack that down. And they'll never have a life outside of just taking care of kids. She was cute when she was fresh out of being in jail. Yeah, niggas knew what they was doing back then, bro. 30 years ago, my granddad gave my grandmom eight babies. Yep. Who gonna fuck with this bitch if he left her? Yeah. I think it's facts. My pops wouldn't have said him for show.

1:25:35Yeah, not with the eight piece. Like, no, bro, they was doing weird ass shit. Niggas was dropping hella babies in a bitch to make, because that was their way of control back then. like see hoes I can talk about women and men that was men's way of control back then because not only were they physically and verbally abusive they would do shit like that would impregnate the bitch back to back even if she didn't want to have her ain't no time for a career you gotta have this baby but that was something I had in the topics too is that I seen that it was women over 40 in the US are having more babies than teenagers for the first time in US history it's like a lot of work them cougars is that a good or a bad thing I think it's a up a little bit just a tiny bit right there just in US women over 40 are now having babies at a higher rate than teens in the first time in US history so 40 and up 18 and under I guess 19 and under I guess that's the time I think it's also regional too you meet a girl out here she gonna be a hot girl in her 20s but ain't that ain't that fucking the game up a little bit niggas normally mess with older chicks it's like hey she ain't gonna get pregnant now the older tiki gonna get pregnant now he's having that baby gonna have it but also hella girls are having abortions too so it's like you know i'm saying i feel like once you're 40 you're getting prego you're like i can't you know cook this motherfucker too yeah i feel like you can handle the abortion when you're younger that for age 40 abortion yeah it might rock your system But also, you know, pregnancies do as well.

1:27:10But I heard that, you know, older pregnancies are more healthy than women. Women take a great care. They call them geriatric. You got to thank, bro. Women out here doing better than us right now. They working out like a motherfucker. Eating right. You know what I'm saying? They doing better. So they probably got that womb a lot healthier for a longer period of time. Shreve, you got a six pack? Because we're all kind of like. Six pack, what, my body? Yeah. Hell no. Okay. I mean, shit. You have the skin slim build. You know what I'm saying? I put on weight since I've been out here, man. Yeah, I'm fighting these demons from London.

1:27:39Oh, yeah. You can't gain weight on that. That food is terrible. They got no seasoning. They got no seasoning. Do you eat that like green shit with the biscuits and the pies and the green sauce? Wait, the green sauce? It's like they're like scooping like this weird bean pie thing out of like tin foil. He's talking about a spice bag, which is Scottish. No, no, no. It's an English shit. I was taking kidney pie or something. I think he's talking about the shit that they got in Australia. No, no, I swear it was. You know the brown spread? What, like HP sauce? Let me look at it. It's like our version of peanut butter.

1:28:20Oh, they have Vegemite. Vegemite. Vegemite is fucking disgusting. Is that what it is? No, no, no, no. That's like the plankton food shit. That literally tastes like fucking poison. And I love my Aussies. Wait, so you said, describe it. I'm going to try and guess what it is. Yeah, it's like he was like scooping this weird. Is it like a beef in it? Oh, it's right here. Pie, mash, and liquor or something like that. It says pie and mash. Yeah, pie and mash. East London style pie mash. Like a Popeye. That's a shepherd's pie. No, not that. That's a shepherd's pie. It looks like this shit. That looks fucking disgusting.

1:28:53It looks like this. What the fuck? This is the TikToks I be seeing. I'd like somebody to throw up on your food. and like yo folks be going in there and ordering like four of them big ass planes just crushing it no but don't maybe have look I'll tell you what like England has that's fire food wise to me is their dessert it's like fucking sticky toffee pudding it's got a fruity ass name but that shit smack sticky toffee pudding is hilarious you love putting that in your mouth so if a nigga said I'm gonna give you 50 million dollars you gotta live in London for the rest of your life you gonna take it?

1:29:26yes 50 million? we fish and chip in it all 50 million 50 million Don't they got good ass Indian food and shit Indian food is fire I don't know what your Indians will be on but it's I would just bring people from this I would just Your Indians are burnt I would just butter chicken I think they're from the wrong country I would hire a staff from the states and have them come over and cook the food Okay 50 million they said you gotta stay in London you can never go back to America Yeah I couldn't do it I wouldn't even do that Only if I could see my kid if my kid could come visit me No No, you can fly your kid.

1:30:00No, I'm not picking this place up with my kid. No, you can fly with the castle. This is not like we're not trying to put his parents back in the question. But okay, I can maybe live in Cambridge. Cambridge, super random. It's like the old school, old time. I like that. Like if I had to live in England, it'll be Cambridge. Are they racist out there? They have a whole different type of racism. They can't, bro. It's like old timey, like historic, like king and king racism. It's like they on some like mad anti-Indians, like anti-prod, you know, anti-immigrant more so than like racist. Blacks and Mexicans, we like top tier over there because of the amount of Indians, bro.

1:30:37It's like, I don't know. We're cutting the Indian population. I feel like the Indian East Asian population is kind of like the Mexicans here in a sense. They're the main group of sort of persecuted people. Those are the ones that like your guys' eyes goes after the most type of thing. The police are a joke, bro. Yeah, fact. Immigration services. Bro, I saw a nigga getting mugged. I saw a nigga getting mugged in Soho like at 2 a.m. and the police is just chasing a nigga on foot. Stop in the name of the law. I went to the box. Oh, you went to the box? I never went to the box. What was they doing at the box when you went?

1:31:13Weird shit, bro. Yeah? Can you even say it or it's too much? I don't think you're supposed to tell the secrets out of the box. I've never been, so. I just say go. What are the racial cool rankings in the UK and London? Who are the coolest people? Oh, they're so fine out there. I would say, yeah. I would do a mixed bitch from England. Like the mixed girls, but then I would say the cool guys, the black guys. Black guys with Jamaican heritage? You're a legend in the UK. Big yard man from the UK. It's so hard to like... It was so funny because you go over there and then you walk in the street and I guess I look like this with tattoos.

1:31:47Hey, bro, if you want a balloon, they suck it on balloons.

1:31:54it's so much different to see like they gangsters versus because it's like you can get down out there you'll fuck you'll fuck around and get stabbed up like laughing in one of these niggas faces because like what the fuck this is a gangsta you know what i'm saying like the culture yeah what was it because it seemed like was it really like out of all the spots when you were on tour out there was london like did you have a bad experience in particular bro they were lit as I bet they love you out there right yeah the new bro I talk shit I'm very controversial and I'm very opinionated in my own stance and I love where I stand in my career where it's either you love me or hate me there's no in between and I'm fine with that for the rest of my career and people who fuck with me came to see me over there they agree with my whether it's a bullshit stance or bullshit point of view it's still my point of view and they like to hear it like that's the thing about it.

1:32:46My shit is mostly exaggerated truth in my point of view. And when you went to England, did you wind up fucking that one dude's bitch? You did. You were like on the Kill Tony panel and there was some dude from England. I think actually he was America. He's like, oh, my girlfriend works in London. And you're like, hey, I'm going to fuck your girl. I had my first ever Indian. Yeah. How was that? Hairy. She had never shaved her pussy ever That was good though I don't know No disrespect to them bro But like Our hygiene ain't they hygiene You know what I'm saying And I'm not used to a hairy I ain't used to no hairy hoe bro Like armpits and arms and all that Everything bro How'd you even do it Was she bad other than that She was fine as fuck bro But I would have to bring her over here and be like Hey this is what the hoes over here do They wax they get laser but it's just like it's like a cultural difference like if you go to Africa and you gotta fuck a bitch who ain't showered in a while because they in the village that's just in a while?

1:33:56bro if you living in a village I mean we're pulling up a request in that but what I'm saying if you go to a place to where hygiene might not be as important because they're in love with their natural pheromones what can you do about it? yeah you gonna judge them? that's just their culture nah but I'm not gonna fuck yes you are no I'm not You might be having a bipolar episode. I had to fuck her. I'm sorry. It was just culture differences like hair and shit. But I mean, they probably got some girls like that. And of course, I'm going to be like, they do shade. Well, but I didn't know. I didn't run into a bitch that shade.

1:34:31But no, the hoes be on you because we're American. And they know that from the moment we walk into a place. And I think they jock like. And they think we violent as fuck. Do they? Oh, nigga. Bro, anytime I go anywhere in the rest of the world, it almost lets you know the news we put in a tent on a two. Because we be looking at them as crazy, and then you go over there, and it's like, where is that at? And why does this nigga think I'm so violent? Well, I think a lot of it also has to do with, unless it's like, we're not talking about fucking Brazil or Rio de Janeiro or places like that, but when it comes to...

1:35:07Like Europe and shit. Yeah, I think that their civic violence pales in comparison to ours. Oh, Brazil is a whole different beast. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All them other places. It's way worse. I want to go with somebody who's from there so I'll wind up somewhere I'm not supposed to be. And it's just like shit that's exotic because I know that Ross, when he out here, you're cleaning house on these American houses. You're eating hell ass. He's eating butt. I feel like the UK and the US got a special relationship. English people fuck with Americans when they're in England and then vice versa. Because y 'all are us.

1:35:39And when you go over there, it's crazy. I grew up in the South. You hear them use words that white people in the South use. They're like, oh, I'll be forgetting. They adapted. They be like, yonder, I reckon. I mean, we and me britches. That shit I hear in the South, but not like Asia's where you go to clean up. Everybody LeBron James over there. Okay, but also, it depends on which Asian country. Any of them. Even like Japan is open season. Nagasaki. I was in that bit. Tokyo, yeah. The second bomb dropped. Bro, I'm black with tattoos. I'm taboo over there. Yeah, yeah. For real. You can't like have your tats banged out, right?

1:36:25You have to be covered. Because of the Yakuza. Right. Yeah. Well, you got to cover all your tats? Well, I mean, store owners will look at you crazy. They might not let you in. It's suggested. You know what I'm saying? It's considered Nagasaki was different. I'm blasted up. Nagasaki was different from Tokyo. In Thailand, you just got to be careful of the ladyboys. I want to go to South Korea. Any close calls with ladyboys? I was with my ex when we went, so I didn't even need that. I look at, okay, anyone that goes to Thailand, if you go by yourself or with your homeboys, you're suspect. Yeah, for sure.

1:37:02You are on the list. You're on the list. If you go with your girl, that's the only acceptable. Like even then like I would say you get like a quarter eyebrow and I and this fucked up because I really want to go to Thailand I think he's got amazing food and beautiful culture, but I'm dubious because I don't want to have like the scarlet letter of Yeah, could they say they raised from what I heard? This is what they told me was over there is that like that's like one of the only ways they can make money So these boys have been raised since like young to be a fucking lady boy so oh my god they got the mannerisms and all that and to oh shout out to them shout out to the lady boys shout out to the lady boys they're working they're getting that bag man that's the only way they can get that bread but it sounds good now um we have a actually this is an interesting topic that's coming from our very own um our very own lady boy yeah our very own adam 22 yeah i want you to read this telling you telling me left is low you want to read it uh i just send it to moose i I mean, I can send it to you if you want.

1:38:01No, that's my hit. I just want to read it. What's Adam? Where he at? Adam is on vacation right now. He couldn't be here today. He on vacation. How y 'all know he ain't dead? Yeah, he's literally. We talked to him. He must have minded time. Adam says, yo, so I want you guys to discuss this on the podcast. I just want to know if this is reasonable or not. It's like a lot of girls in the porn industry right now. They got like an AI version of them that you can talk to and send you photos and videos or whatever you know it looks like them. it sounds like that whatever like you know it seems like it actually kind of becoming popular so i guess like the obvious question is should i create one that says and does gay shit for all the gay men out there who obviously want to bang me and am i allowed to still hold it down for being heterosexual if i made that kind of move i just want to know it's not like i hate i am gay i just have to like you know tell the ai company like yeah it's cool you can have me do a bunch of gay stuff.

1:38:55Okay, thank you guys. That's too long of a question. I forgot. There was a lot of he has an AI version of him doing gay porn. Is that okay? Is that gay? Only fans of bot that will respond. Adam and Turkey getting some more hair? I think so, yeah. He's been transformed. Tell him I got some leftover grass in my house in Georgia. I don't know. There's a chick in England from India. The AI bot is going to be sending pictures of his butthole and things like that. Listen, he's not actually doing it and if he didn't do it somebody would probably bootleg it and do it for free anyway yeah so you might as well get your back he's a porn star at what yeah he's not actually doing well he's doing gay shit but here's my no his AI image is doing that but it's your likeness if I post in the reddit and his doughboy sucking cock it's you're gonna be a little taken aback I can't respect a man who's got an AI bot sucking dick with his image and likeness the problem.

1:39:50Perpetuity? You're sucking dick in perpetuity? If the gay eye porn takes off and it gets so popular, he might start getting them offers. Hey, 10 mil. Do the real scene. We need the real gay Adam porn. And you know what Adam's like? If the bag's big enough, he might be like, put it in my butt. I think with Adam, it's always been and this is not just him. If you look at I've seen that movie about that Rocco Soffretti dude or whatever who was the porn star from italy and all that so wait what movies you watching man no it's like it was a big netflix series and stuff about this dude um but i had seen his work pretty end up doing gay stuff or what yeah oh okay yeah i don't want to put that on rocko but you feel me like rocko no all right so here's the cold part adam first was like i'm just gonna be banging chicks it's gonna be me and my wife banging together i don't know where this i'll never have a dude bang my chick he said it's the hip-hop in me that will never allow me to do that it's the hip-hop in me it ain't on me it in me he's been slapping too much t swift all right so with that being said he obviously traversed that boundary and then like whatever rabbit hole that leads to with the two of them and whatever content she got going on right then like the obvious what can you do next besides once all the different combinations of three ways and gang bangs and blow bangs and all that runs out whatever then it's gonna be like oh it's gonna be me you and a trans like that's like the most that is the next this is the next logical trend and then the very end is adam being blow banged is what you're saying oh okay i'm just saying it's a very it's incredibly slippery wet wet slope yeah i don't know bro it's tiptoeing i feel i feel like once you go into the devil's playground of porn then is that gay stuff is the devil's I mean yeah or just the whole entire industry the whole entire industry bro and it's like okay well who's to say you don't go that far and then it's like okay well I'll let him do this for that but do you think what he's doing is is if he decides to let the AI image do whatever with his likeness does that make him gay once you fuck somebody on camera is I feel like he's not doing it on camera his AI no but I'm saying he's in general in general once you were fucking somebody on camera doors open or in or in his thing where he was sharing his wife then what else is left but so why not just go all the fucking way i think i have i have no more i have no more pride anyway but but but you see the way things go no yeah i mean you already hopped out with it and then it's really the unfortunate thing about porn is it's like it's become this it's been like mr beastified because you got chicks doing a hundred in a day a thousand men in a day i've been telling adam when's he gonna do the hundred girls in a day but i don't know He's been talking about it.

1:42:31I don't know if Leonard's going to let that one run. He's been talking about it. I thought they were together. Nah, they are. Nah, they are. That was just it. It was fake. That was a fake thing. But TM, the trustworthy news source of TMV. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I feel like he would have been doing that shit, to be honest with you. I didn't even need to. So who made it fake? Some. Well, go ahead. No, supposedly an obsessed fan made that, created this lawsuit, and then it got leaked. He filed the paperwork on behalf like fraudulently and then like TMZ got that. Making egregious claims that didn't exist.

1:43:05Like, oh, their desk. All kinds of weird shit that wasn't true. Is this crazy fan lush? We don't know. Yeah, exactly. The world may never know. We don't know what's real and what's real. Yeah, for real. At this point, but the thing is we've seen the homie deviate from heteronormative porn to, you feel me, like

1:43:26I'm not me deviate from hetero and he's still the homie and he's still the homie yeah no Adam is the homie oh yeah deviate from normal porn or what well I mean okay like just like the wife yeah and I guess that's still that's still heteronormative but then like the next step would be breaking down that barrier yeah yeah that once like Gracie Jane in the mix I mean I agree with what I think somebody said earlier if they offer him a bag big enough he'll do the AI showing the asshole but okay i think that's hard to say no to 10 mil i'll be honest offer me like you feel me a cold quarter ticket you can fuck my ai ass so you're like i don't give a fuck like what this this goes back to what what david said at the start which is like the proliferation of all this fake ai shit it's made the value of real stuff like performing on stage or really getting fucked in the ass by a dude more valuable them real chiefs are gonna be worth a million bucks okay but check game but doughboy made a really good point too he like hey they finna do that shit regardless they gonna make if they really want to they're right they're gonna bootleg that shit they had they had me making out whoa vicky you feel me all kinds of josh kiss and jaleesa josh the other day was so funny oh my god they got they got cartoon versus amara simpson busting it down that's what you're looking at I was watching a family guy porn when I was like a little kid.

1:44:51I'm not going to lie. This thing you'd be watching porn when the cartoons pop up. He's clicking on it. For sure. When I was a kid, I was clicking on that shit, for sure. Marge, stick and pay$8 for that shit. I think that kind of maybe warped all of our subconscious minds to a degree. Like they're clicking back and forth. And then we wind up being aroused while we're seeing things like Marge. I don't ever want to get that weird. Because that takes you. Lois is hot. I mean, we could all admit that. Yeah, but I don't ever want to get a hard dick for her. Yeah. Okay, I want to be a Poop for March.

1:45:20I've gotten some animated. I don't ever want to see no animated porn and be like, fuck them. You're too freaked out, you feel like. I remember watching anime. And you're detached. I don't ever watch it. I just see that it's there. What about like hentai, like a girl getting fucked by an octopus with like 20, 10 years? Nah, I'm not into it. I think that's some early boners. Once you program your subconscious like that, how is it going to be to fuck a real girl? Yeah, no, for sure. I'm going to eat that octopi. You're getting gummy worm way more if you're jacking off the tentacle porn. Gummy worm.

1:45:50Con pulpo. Yeah. Nah. Somebody get y 'all some money, send me that. Shoot it! It started with moose, so I get that$5. Sorry, David. Shoot it! I just wanted to talk about this briefly. I know you guys covered it quickly, but I don't think that fucking streamers are overtaking music. Yes, they're, like, more relevant in, like, clip form on the internet, but how do we, like, you know, categorize popularity? because I was looking at it more from a, how many hours are these people taking up? Music is still like fucking astronomically. Can I tell you why? Take yourselves. Because the way that we normally consume regular music now, you get it in such low dosages very infrequently.

1:46:35Streamers stay in your face every single day. So when you have somebody like Kai Sniper drop a disc video, he just dropped that video the other day. It's already like 3 million views. That's life for him, by the way. And that's 24 hours. But how many barry tickets would he sell? I think he could sell out some shit. Did you see it at Streaming's University? That shit was packed everywhere. That's niggas trying to get on. That's not niggas having to buy a ticket to be there. But see, that's the thing. But he don't have to do that, though, because he don't even got to leave his house, and he could have 70 ,000 people in the chat.

1:46:59But they ask, is it getting popular? And that's how you determine popularity. Right. And I think it's becoming more popular than rap at this point. It's not, though, because if you look at that, 70 ,000 a day for every day, if he gets that, it's still not Drake's 10 million a month. Can I tell you a fact? Can I tell you a fact? Future dropped a single to his album. It's called Effa Interview, right? He dropped it on Friday. Right now, if we fact check it, I think he might be at like 1.4 million. But he'll still sell more. Kai Sanat dropped a diss record yesterday, and he's already at 3 million.

1:47:31But your first point is kind of if we just swap those two things, it applies to this. Kai Sanat hasn't rapped in probably three years. if he continues to drop music videos and it's kind of ass like this one was, in six months, no one's going to be watching that. Hold on. It was just dated ass drill song. It was cool, but if he drops music consistently, people are going to stop paying attention as much and it's going to be just lost in the shuffle. What's the guy's name that streams with AB? Dean. Dean the Great. They dropped a guest record. Exactly. If they came to a 300 seat venue here in LA, I don't think they would sell.

1:48:11If they said we're strictly doing music. What would you rather do as a businessman? Sell out a thousand seater and whatever the financial benefit of that is. Okay, cool. Or stream from your home for four hours and have 80 ,000 people tuning in. which one are you taking as far as growing your fan base me personally you personally are you taking that thousand seater i'm taking the thousand seater over 70 000 he wants that human connection not even a human connection but you could fake 70 000 i could i could click on a nigga right now and watch it that don't mean i'm gonna go buy his t-shirt but if you come to if a thousand people come to a show at least 400 people gonna buy a t-shirt so now i've doubled that and then i might get them to sign up for some more shit oh i got another show i'm dropping this kind of tickets if you was at this show so no i got them it's more i think it's more tangible i take the tangible shit over the streamers that doesn't feel prehistoric sometimes like building it like that when people when you see people get like two three million subscribers on instagram like after eight nine months in but that's kind of last that don't last bro we are they gonna be talking about Tysonette in 20 years?

1:49:26Probably. Maybe. But he's like very above and beyond a lot of other guys. I'd rather build it brick by brick. Give me the Snoop Dogg career over the Drake career. But also streaming is just like music in that it's super top heavy where like Speed and Kai and Aiden and we could probably name the top 25 streamers and then after that it's going to drop off a fucking mountain in terms of Revenue and how much motherfuckers are getting paid. What's that nigga? Aiden. Aston Hall. No. Aston Hall. The muscular nigga. What he at now? Bro, I couldn't stop seeing that nigga eight months ago. Oh, the nigga that was putting his face in the ice water?

1:50:05Yeah, he raised speed and all that. Bro, I don't know what type of virus he had to make that shit come from my algorithm. He's still dunking his face in the water, but ain't too many people. But it's like also the clip farm. The Saratoga. The clip farms and shit. He made Saratoga popular. Yeah. Let me ask y 'all this. what is cooler for a kid right now? Does a kid want to be a streamer or a rapper? A streamer. NBA Youngboy is more desirable for kids in the youth today than Kysonet or iShowSpeed. No, he's not. Yes, more kids want to be like NBA Youngboy than want to be like Kysonet. No, they don't.

1:50:38Because Kysonet don't have super strict lifestyles that they're pushing. They're just lit streamers. NBA Youngboy has a specific image of I'm outside. I'm super cool and it's dangerous and he keeps going to prison yes but that is the most desirable to young undeveloped minds I'm not saying what's better I'm saying what's real and he sold out an arena tour yeah he went I'm pretty sure Kai could do that if he wanted to have you seen some of Drewski's shows they're not bigger than Kai's why be Drewski is selling out arenas for that could have been record shit Drewski Drewski's more valuable on paper than Kai you think so if I was a business person I'd take Drewski over Kai I think they're right about neck and neck.

1:51:19I think Drewski I would say I think Drewski is more valuable. Why is Kaysenet I don't know. Why is Kaysenet not hosting the BET Awards? What I'll say about I'll say Drewski is significantly more talented. Yeah for sure. He's more talented. I would say Kaysenet is too big to host the BET Awards. That's why he's not doing it. I'm not gonna lie. I think he can only do one thing really well though Kai. It's like I don't know if he's got the range like like that's my point. But what does Drewski do differently other than be he's dressing up as Jay-Z But it's the same vein of like He's one of the funniest humans alive right now I think that's crazy I think Drewski will still be at the same relevancy in 10 years and Kai won't I think he has a better chance because he has more of the old media with him and Kai is super like forefront new streaming era And they're damn near the same age like Drewski got a couple years on I think streaming is about to be the new wave though I feel like it's going to take over He's been here since 2017 Like you gotta stop saying this Because you just learned who Kaisenat and Eyeshow Speed was.

1:52:18These motherfuckers have been ninja, got$10 million for Mixer in 2019. Yuri was awesome. This is here. So, don't worry. Yuri had a thousand viewers on YouTube at one point. I'm saying that. Don't worry. What's up? Country Wayne or Kaisenat? Oh. I'm taking Wayne. DC Youngfly or Kaisenat? Kaisenat. DC Youngfly. Kaisenat. I take Kaisenat over DC Youngfly. Yeah, so would I. The greatest entertainer of our generation? flies man flies a bad boy I take Country Wayne's path over Kysonette's yeah and he just drops whenever he wants on YouTube he turning down Netflix money and he can do a billion views a month that's crazy is he still I mean I just don't pay attention he just dropped his views shooting on his iPhone but like I think to me like a really important conversation and I'm glad that this afforded me the opportunity to bring it up is because David said something that really resonated earlier he was all right now is the easiest time for people to be famous and like he was referring into comedy and he's right but it extends far beyond that it's like whether it's music whatever the fuck you got going on due to the the word the you know the apps and the i don't even call it the internet no more you feel me is that right now it's so pop it's so easy to do that but the cross the bear is the inverse is all like okay in comedy for example back in the day motherfuckers got a chance to perfect their sets for a year and then you would see the special because fools were doing it.

1:53:44But now it's like every single time you hit the stage it potentially could be online. I know there's exceptions. Go viral. Unless you walk in it up with the bags and shit. Or you could be the mothership. You're not supposed to be filming but other than that most places you're supposed to. And the risk that comedians have and chime in on this David if this is happening to you. Sometimes comedians have put their material out and then a social media influence to take it and flip it into like a sketch and kind of like you know remix it have you ever had one of your jokes like took a remix my shit too dark to make it to a sketch i got jokes about choking bitches out i don't know they make it into a sketch no and okay and it's i think a lot of times with you do you get off on the fact that like let's say like beyond like you could be on the stage or you're doing a pod and you're saying something and in your head this is fucking comedy this is cutting edge and you don't give a fuck you're just being yourself and certain people might be offended even the people that are right next to you like damn i can't believe you said this like does it is that like when you're like oh i gotta keep going harder don't have me back i got my own podcast okay that's how i would feel like okay i don't gotta come back but like don't but do you like is that like what you're going for sometimes like I just grew up in a household where no words were spared I grew up being raised to speak your mind and say what you say and I was raised by my grandfather so he said shit all the time and that's just what I did and how I took it Do you think comedians have to consistently do stand up to be considered a comedian?

1:55:27Yeah, it's hard to come back How many times a week?

1:55:33I mean, to stay fresh, you want to be up at least probably like once a night. What's the most time you've taken off since you became full-time in stand-up? Like four and a half months to shoot that movie. Oh, okay. And you still flexing the comedy muscle, though, because you're acting low-key, right? No, it's different because I did maybe one or two shows at a local comedy club that was like an hour and a half drive away. Like I was shooting in Gaffney, South Carolina, and I did a show like in Greensboro or something like that. And it was like an hour and a half, two hours away. And that was after like maybe not two months on stage.

1:56:15And I was like, damn, that was that was if like I didn't feel right. I didn't feel like how I normally feel comfortable and poised on stage. But then like I say, like when I started back, when I came back, it probably took like two and a half, three weeks to get back in like the groove. right yeah that's why i'll be feeling this stuff to even call myself a comedian because i'll be taking too long the sabbaticals and then i get back on there i wasn't trying to cook you though boy but i just wanted to ask i need a david's opinion on this there's been a big debate like for a lot of people in the battle rap community which is where i come from initially and people are like what do you think is more difficult comedy or battle rap what type of comedy are we talking about form on a set stand up yeah stand up comedy stand up crowd work just stand up just basic stand up being a good stand up a successful stand up versus a battle rapper that gotta remember three rounds and you can only say it once cause remember this I don't know how familiar you are with the the modern landscape of battle rap it's not like back in I mean I when I did Rose Battle at the comedy show I just had to battle a lot of it yeah yeah for sure Billy Boondocks yeah yeah hey long live my brother hey that's an amazing shout out I love that What's the nigga name?

1:57:24The Jewish cat? Which one? He was on Wild N' Out. Oh, fucking Frack. Frack. Frack or because Sharon's not Jewish. The white boy, bald head. He be rapping. Oh, Kosher Dills. Kosher Dills. Shouts to Kosher. I don't know, bro. I think it's about equal in the same vein. Okay. It's kind of like what requires more conditioning, football or basketball. They both hard. You both got to prepare for, you know, an hour, a play, or however long it is. and I think it's I mean you gotta remember like an hour long comedy set. Well and that's the thing like comedy like seemingly requires a lot like here's the degree of difficulty from my perception in comedy is you have to keep this crowd of people fully engaged and it's one person like you might be doing crowd work playing off some like environmental shit but really at the end of the day it's you and a mic and that's it but it's just like Chappelle said like an hour long set well i mean most comedians some comedians i do in an hour like i do like 45 on stage when i headline and i do a roast at the end where i bring people up um but i mean bro it's like jazz there's highs and lows it's it should be a journey you should you should take people through a whole bunch of different emotions at some points you should lose them but then you should get them back and then they should you should have moments where they're quiet you should have moments there's there's very few comedians who can keep you laughing like for a full hour like just back like Tony Roberts is one Cat Williams does a lot of talking but he's engaging you know the way he talks the way his cadence is it makes you want to some comedians just make you want to listen like Dave Chappelle like I listen to Dave Chappelle so much I might not laugh I'm like damn what he just said you know what I'm saying I might miss the punchline because I'm like I'm still thinking about the shit that he just a lot of like bro one of my favorite comedians to watch is Anthony Jostelnik very very dark but that's what i like i like very dark that dry dark humor that you're not supposed to hear like right this nigga talking about some pedophile shit but it's funny and like the tone of voice yeah yeah how he looks normal yeah i i like dark humor so i like so most people who have like very like dry dark humor there's lows and there's highs because they're telling you they're building up to something to hit you at the end so you feel like there's two different styles.

1:59:44There's a comedian that is going to be like constant laughter all the way through and then the fools that are just going for the pop once every 10 minutes. Yeah, like the storytellers that got a five minute set up. Ali Sadiq does a good job holding your attention and then breaking you. However long it takes him to get to where he needs to get. But I mean, that's why people fall a little different comedians because they got different styles. Ali Sadiq cried in the middle of his set and kept going. It was so powerful. So there's that and then there's a degree of difficulty in battle rap where it's like I have to memorize like an over an album's worth of material because these dudes are like rapping acapella five minute rounds of like Shakespearean level like intricate writing that if you're regurgitating anything anyone else has said before, you're going to be like held to the fire in that sense.

2:00:32But the reason we're crazy was because we got to get comfortable in the pockets of silence. Boom. I was going to ask you about that. How do you find that? Because as a I don't even want to call myself a comedian, but You gotta get on stage, nigga. That's the only way. Sometimes I panic if they not laughing. But sometimes, like you said, you gotta set it up. So how do you find comfort and quiet? As long as they're not heckling, you have their attention. If they're quiet, that's good. Because they're listening. But if they're fucking, hey, nigga. You know what I'm saying? You better tell a joke real quick.

2:01:04Okay, but what about the Kill Tony shit, right? You have one minute to get these motherfuckers. And if those people are quiet, for more than 20 or 30 seconds, you're low-key not cooking, right? I mean, but you better fucking cook with that punchline. Yeah. And I feel like you might fall flat on your face in the one minute, but then that interview saves you. You know what I'm saying? I feel like he tries to save people in the interview and see what you got. I've had several, many bad sets on Kill Tony, but my interview roasting saves the whole... That'd be the best part. Do you ever get surprised by jokes?

2:01:38Do you ever have a joke where you're like, I know this one is gonna kill and then it don't or then you have one that you think is just a throwaway and you do it and then it murders? I kind of write on stage more so like I normally have like a subject like I don't know let me look I try to write like a topic everyday you know what I'm saying? And would you say that you write jokes or do you just like get like a premise and then just kind of just build on it? Like I saw a girl yesterday with blue hair and I just wrote liberal chicks have big titties I'll take that and try to expand on it. They do, bro, the bitches who ain't gonna give me no pussy got some of the best bodies.

2:02:19And it's like, we ain't gonna agree on shit, but this bitch with purple hair, thick to the motherfuckers, titties big as hell. You're right, baby, whatever you say. Right! You gotta say, we got this. Gender neutral bathrooms, not so bad, you know? They be fucking bad, and I'm like, God damn, I know she ain't gonna fuck with me. I wanted to ask you this too, and he's not here, but I want to ask you in his, I want to know. This is a question I want to know. You've seen Adam enough on his content, right? You see how he likes his sense of humor and kind of how he does. Trying to get him to do stand-up.

2:02:49What words would you give to Adam if he was going to get in the stand-up game? Stay doing porn. Don't do stand-up? He don't got the personality of a comedian. I think he does. I think he has that deadpan delivery that could kill. You're too confident to be a comedian. You think so? I know so. You don't think he could be vulnerable on stage? He get too much pussy. He is getting a lot of... He's still drowning. Where's the hurt? That means you're out too. I think I'll be okay. You've been fucking way too much lately. I'm saying for him to start... The problem is he's popular. And when you start comedy, you're going to be bad.

2:03:29Until you know what you're doing. You're going to get the Brendan Schaub effect. It's like... Say he sell out a 500-seater. And then he's up there terrible for 30 minutes. How many of those is he going to really sit through? He's too cool. But what if you walk him into it and maybe have like a... He's going to have to cut his teeth, right? Maybe he has a seasoned comedian like yourself. And you say, hey, Adam, you can open up the show. You got five minutes. But I wouldn't.

2:03:53That's what you're here for. I'm trying to pitch my guy. Why not? But I wouldn't. You wouldn't let him get five minutes to open up? No, he's too cool, bro. Nah, man. I'll fuck with that. He got to earn his keep. ain't no passes go to open mic yeah we gotta hit open mics we gotta go through gladiators no but why would anyone you can't in comedy you can't skip steps yeah why would anyone do comedy without doing at least some open mics no matter what so we gotta get Adam to an open mic yes okay we gonna get it which I don't think that would happen but and it would ideally be like he better off doing like a porn star comedy show that could kill just have all porn stars there like a little spoof type of thing not even a spoof but it's just like I don't even want to I don't want to say gimmicky, but it's just like a night.

2:04:38Oh, this is porn star comedy. Niggas in the industry come there. He could probably be funny with that. Oh, yeah. Like an AVN awards, but comedy show kind of vibe. And book like two or three real comedians, and then he may host it. And at least he got it. Have somebody write him some jokes. That's actually a good idea. There we go. He should do something like that. He done it before I seen him do it. Who, Adam has? Yeah. Stand up? Yeah, porn stand up is a thing, whole thing. How was it? Wait, I never heard of this. This is a long time. There is a while ago. There's been a genre. That Ryan guy, that pillow talk guy.

2:05:05Was it good or no? Was it good? Ryan Pono. I think you make a good point when it's like these sexy porn stars that, you know, have these great lives and they're really rich. It's not funny. It's not funny or relatable. Adam wasn't funny. I'm not saying Adam wasn't funny, but I'm saying it's like, I see the dynamic of it. It's more like the girl's kind of acting crazy and like - But what if he finds the vulnerability of being an adult male star? Like, what if he can't get it up on a shoot? And he talks about that. Me knowing what I know of comedy. And I'm sure Adam has a few M's, especially from the Jason Love video.

2:05:39I would not go and try to do comedy. I think he should. Bro, I just know what I know from comedy. And I, if I had M's, I would not go start my comedy. You wouldn't want to try to diversify your portfolio? It's hard, bro. It's hard. It's mentally draining. It's physically draining. if you really commit to it you damn near have to isolate yourself from every i've lost so many relationships nigga all that chasing chasing comedy thank god i am where i am now to be able to make a living from it but you have to really isolate yourself and you gotta fucking be selfish yeah i think he's just saying like with adam like you know you're like saying oh can adam make it to the nba and he's like no he's not six seven you know what i'm saying he can't jump high you You should be driving to an open mic in a Range Rover.

2:06:26I'm portraying the traits. Hey, but is it safe to say if it ain't been in a pawn shop that can't play the blues? You feel me? I feel like you can only really be great at one thing at a time. You think so? Yeah. Oh, I know it is. That's just what I believe. One thing at a time. People do, they move into different things, but it's like you can only be consumed by one thing. Would you start the pawn career? Obviously, staying outside. It's like, oh boy, you're great at comedy. You've got to chase greatness in one lane. But I think that he's essentially doing comedy in a sense because he talks. So if that's all, comedy is just another form of talking.

2:07:02Situational funny versus intentional funny is two different things. Yeah, we all got a funny homie that might not be a good comedian. Every nigga at the barbershop funny. But also, even intentional funny in the context of a podcast don't translate necessarily to being able to rock a stage. Absolutely. It's timing, bro. It's kind of the Drewski thing. Drewski's the king of that, but we've never seen him do stand-ups. There's several people that got popular from podcasts and then they go see their standup and they're like, what the fuck? You know what I'm saying? It might not be the same. But that.

2:07:33Even Rogan. They give Rogan that critique all the time. But this has been the biggest critique. But you don't see Rogan. Bro, there's some niggas who have elevated beyond seeing a person to where you're seeing a thing. Yeah. And Rogan's at that level where I'm seeing an entity. This is no longer. You know what I'm saying? No, I get what you're saying. Rogan's not good at comedy. It's like an enterprise. eyes performing on stage. I've seen Rogan Kill. I mean, I've seen him perform and he's cool, but it's like he's better at podcasting than comedy. Significantly. So do you think his podcast just got bigger than his comedy?

2:08:05Because he got into it from comedy. I don't think he'd be doing them big venues if he didn't have this podcast being this giant thing. I think he would. I feel like them specials he'd be putting out recently ain't well. Okay, but that's like saying that Adam's a better podcaster than he is a BMXer. I guess now than Corrin. He was a good BMXer, then he was a good podcaster. But the difference is that Joe Rogan seems like his main thing is he wants to be a great stand-up comedian as well, and Adam, I don't think, gives a fuck about being good at BMX. You've seen Rogan live? I've seen him live in LA.

2:08:40I don't know if it was a comedy store. I think it was another venue. You didn't enjoy it? This is years ago. I saw him and Tony Hinchcliffe, and I didn't know who Hinchcliffe was at the time, and Hinchcliffe, I thought, flamed it, and I thought Rogan Tony Q I find Rogan to be a little corny and cheesy personally that's your I mean that's the thing about comedy it's not for everybody hey but you know what Rogan was hard when he smoked Mencia I wanted to ask you I think that's reasonable because a lot of people that are comedy fans they got opinions about comedy what do you feel like about this kind of like critiquing comedy era you've got all these YouTube channels that are like critiquing comedians and their specials like what do you think of that are people's opinions about comedy because they'd be on your ass David some of them YouTube channels.

2:09:23It's profitable to be a complainer. Do you not feel like that kind of just sidesteps the actual like reasonable critiques? I mean I'm nobody really critiqued anything before we had the internet so now there's a lane to be a grifter. Do you really do you feel like it's a little like to call it out as grifting like some of those critiques about these comedians are like very well put together they're very thoughtful some of them are funny so like i feel like they're valid but also like some are better than others but it's sometimes it feels like comedians take themselves so seriously that they kind of like refuse to take on board any criticism about if their jokes are corny or if they're not really living up to their reputation i don't think but who are you listening like okay and there's all right if somebody put a video on me about me and i like he said there's a few videos out there and they say he's not funny am i gonna listen to that nigga okay i got i'll just be real with you though some of the i think you're really funny but like some of the videos critiquing you have got millions of views and they're fucking hilarious like the way they're cutting it together but like do you acknowledge those like do you even acknowledge like i get we're in completely different lanes different levels for sure but like i get roasted online sometimes i feel like ah they kind of got me that was kind of funny like some of the critiques about you some of them videos like elephant graveyard and shit it's like do you look at them and even though they're skewering you you kind of like i see the creative like the creativity behind it oh i mean keep going i don't watch them but keep like do it like i bro i don't like take like if that helps you or puts views on your channel like i encourage you to make it but you wouldn't acknowledge that like so you're basically saying there's zero validity to any of that shit and they're all grifting i would have to watch it i don't i try not to watch negativity like nobody wants to hear anything negative about themselves and i'm sure not gonna watch a video that's meant to like humiliate me you know i'm saying because comedians were very sensitive and if i saw that you know i'm saying or if i sat there and watched it'll probably put me in a headspace because we we as comedians we already question ourselves a lot because we do comedy from a broken dark place so it's like i'm not gonna watch that but do you feel like it's hypocritical to kind of dish that out on other people and then refuse to acknowledge or even like acknowledge the validity of when people are roasting you back roasting me back yeah i'm a comic i i feel like it's not warranted for some comedians but us comedians who talk shit i feel like that's expected but if you go make like a video like that against like like uh bobby lee it's like come on man that's a nice guy you know what i'm saying well brendan shawb was brought up earlier right and to be honest like i'll just be real i think brendan shawb sucks at comedy that's just my opinion and a lot of the videos roasting him are far more funny than any of his comedy and is that valid because i feel like most people are pro at this point like he's a multi-million age driving porsche 911s all day long and he sucks at comedy but i mean here's the thing bro like um Talking about Brendan Schaub, he tried really hard to get funny, and he tried really hard to be a great comedian, and I've seen him destroy rooms, like have great sets.

2:12:19He does have things that I definitely laughed at, but also I know him. And you know how easier it is to laugh at something when you know somebody? You have more context. Yeah, so what I will say is also that he was in a fucked up situation because how we were just talking about skipping steps. He skipped a lot of steps. And within a few years, he got a special. Well, it's like Rogan kind of did for him what Doughboy is telling you to do for Adam, right? That's why he's saying you shouldn't do that. You can't. Do it. That's your man's Brendan, so I understand why you... But I'm saying, to skip that many steps, because you're supposed to go through the open mics, you know what I'm saying?

2:13:02And then get your five minutes, then get your 10 minutes, and then get your 15. Then feature for somebody for a few years, and then become a headliner. And maybe get a special. Yeah, because he went straight to the special, right? To get good, bro, to where you're like, oh, he's finding his voice and shit, that takes like 10 years. he was in a position where he was around all these huge comedians so it might have been harder for him to find his voice not saying that I mean I think he stopped now we just did a podcast recently but I think he stopped now but I mean like I've heard before that Sebastian Maniscalco was terrible you know what I'm saying but it takes time eventually you'll bomb enough to either where you'll kill yourself or you'll get better so I just feel like he probably gave up prematurely for whatever reason Wasn't he thrown in the fire like a motherfucker?

2:13:53In the sense that Rogan's like, hey, stop fighting. You're not going to be able to beat this guy up. I think he got a special. I think he got a Showtime special like his second or third year. Right, right. Which is like, bro. But then his next special, nobody won it, right? And he dropped it himself and it didn't go down very well. The fire in the kid. No, before that. That special afterwards. Remember the one where he got a terrible backdrop? On YouTube? Yeah, yeah. But like, okay. No, Poppy? So let me. Yeah, yeah, I think so. But I would say what's interesting is I feel like, would you acknowledge that like really those comedy critique channels they kind of called brendan shaw about for what he really was and kind of got him out the way because he didn't really deserve to be at that level and rogan basically planted him in the industry because he was an mma guy that he liked and kind of felt sorry for him yeah you need to stop fighting and you need to do comedy he shouldn't have been doing comedy like rogan should have told the trigger pretty early i don't i don't really know his whole backstory because when i met uh shab was i think like 2021, 2022, he was already touring and he had lost, and I wasn't a headliner or getting any, I didn't, it was still, I think it was 2021 and he asked me to come on the road with him and he was selling out every fucking thing.

2:14:59The fighter and the kid was doing very great and whatever other podcast he had. So I don't know, like his origin, I used to see him at the comedy store when I was a door guy. I'm like, this nigga big as hell. You know what I'm saying? I didn't know much about him until I started working with him. So like, he had a well put together hour so when you had seen him perform you genuinely was like this guy's good at comedy when I saw him on the road I saw him kill but also he does I told y 'all like dark dry humor wasn't my style more wholesome but I think what he's asking is like even though he might have killed we know as comedians like if somebody has a great reaction we know if it was still funny And we can tell even if they don't have a good reaction, but know that it was funny.

2:15:47I don't use my marker. I use the audience marker. Because here's the thing, bro. I see niggas who a lot of people universally find funny. And I'm like, I didn't do it for me. But also, I like a very dark drive. Like, I have a very specific type of comedy I like to hear. So, I don't, if I see somebody go on stage and they do well and the audience is reacting the way they're supposed to, I'm like, oh, he's good. What did you think when Cat Williams said like Joe Rogan kind of forced his little group of like five or six comedians on the whole scene? Did you think that was valid? I feel like if you put yourself in a position of power like that, you should.

2:16:25Even if they suck at comedy? It's subjective. Somebody's paying to see them. Yeah, because I don't think you could say like Tom Segura sucks at comedy. No, no, but I'm saying. Okay, so if we're talking about Rogan's circle, his immediate circle of comedians. The Rogan's fear. Okay, whatever. Andrew Schultz, Theo Vaughn, Burt Kreischer, Tom Segura, Shane Gillis, Hensklipp is coming in. Ari Shafir. Is Hensklipp in there? Tony Hensklipp. So how did Brendan get on that list? Because that was his boy from the UFC, but then he told him to retire. I mean, here's the thing, bro. If I had a powerful platform like Joe Rogan, I'ma put my boys on.

2:17:06And I've taken niggas on the road with me that I find funny. And we go do shows and the reaction from the crowd ain't there. I'm sorry, dog. I find you funny. It's too early or something. So you'll take somebody off the show, even if you know the content is good, but if it's not working with the crowd, they can't. Well, here's the thing, bro. They might have four or five bad shows. And now the club owner has told my agent. And I'm not going to let my agent tell my homie. I'm going to tell him. hey dog I'll bring you back on the road in like 5 months go work on some stuff I ain't gonna say that but I'm like hey I gotta switch some shit around I ain't bringing no opener I don't wanna kill nobody I don't wanna extinguish nobody's fire bro the smallest thing can fuck a nigga up so I'm like and I know like for me too bro like if a nigga I look up to hey you sup I gotta take that might fucking send me in a whirlwind so like isn't there a constructive way to say that though like at least being like a little bit more genuine to how you, because it could potentially help them.

2:18:09Some niggas know how to perform, bro. Some niggas just know how to perform but it won't translate in other mediums. That just is what it is. They don't have it. And that's a fucked up way to say it. Some people can murder a room but put out terrible specials, bro. It's just part of the game. Some niggas put out amazing specials and then you're going to see them and it's like, what the fuck was that? But that's like saying some people have great radio freestyles, but some people make great albums. Psy High the Prince. Yeah, exactly. I ain't never heard a radio hit, but I'll watch that nigga freestyles all day.

2:18:42Right. And what you're saying, if I'm Rogan, would I platform my homies like that? Yes. So Rogan made an interesting comment when he was kind of talking about the Brendan Schaub thing. He said he doesn't read comments and that he doesn't think that comedians should listen to, you know, fans commenting on the social media posts. And then he kind of elaborated. He has an entire vicious Reddit dedicated to his demise. That's what I'm saying is he's basically saying. Oh, shop. Oh, he's talking about Rogan. Rogan told, told shop. You shouldn't look at the comments. You shouldn't read all that advice.

2:19:09You shouldn't listen to these channels that are taking you down. But don't you feel like to a certain degree, it's kind of like Rogan's basically, you know, forcing shop on the audience. And then it's like, like you said, if you were a real good homie, you would say to someone, Hey, this comedy shit ain't working out for you. Or like Adam, this shit ain't for you. But it's almost like those channels and the comments have almost become the honesty that these comedians, I feel like they should pay attention to that. But if a nigga killing on stage, how can you tell him that that joke can't funny?

2:19:33Exactly. That's a horrible. But I'm just saying. Because the people decide. If a nigga's selling tickets and the audience is laughing. That's all that matters. How can I go tell a nigga, hey, bro, you should, like, how? And then it's like, do you listen to the YouTube channels? Because I think this is a problem with a lot of those YouTube critique channels is they fall into all they do is critique. So at some point, you're going to run into where I don't have nothing to critique this week. And you have to start grifting to get content. I think that's the issue. And I truly believe. You might say somebody got killed at a taco stand.

2:20:03I think Brendan, like comedy plays on your psyche, bro. It will drive you crazy because you have bad shows, you have good shows. And I think if Brendan still did comedy, he would still be selling on shows. Let me ask you this. Sorry, just before you say that, one last thing on Brendan. I feel like the way he went wrong is, even though you don't think they're valid, I would say a lot of the comedy critique channels and even the subreddit, the toxic subreddit, I feel like they had him in such a chokehold. and I feel like the one thing he should have done and I've said this in some of my videos but like the one thing I think he should have done is leaned into it and just said fuck it I'm gonna go be rabbit in eight mile and just respond to and look at and make jokes out of all this criticism rather than ignoring it and pretending it's not going on I feel like he should have faced that head on and I feel like the comedians like even Rogan he's at such a high level but it's almost like ignoring all the criticism and pretending it doesn't exist like you guys supposed to be funny like Brendan roast the subreddit back like you supposed to be a comedian and like get your jokes off.

2:21:00That's what you're saying. That's like the rookiness so that like him skipping steps didn't prepare him for that moment to fire back like these other veterans would do. It's digital crowd work basically. But what does that do? Like you're... I feel like he could have saved his career if he'd have done that. But he's also... If you go on Reddit you're playing to niggas that's not buying tickets. Niggas that buy tickets be on Reddit? No. I mean I don't know if anyone was buying tickets to Brendan Chet. We sold 22. And we got a ton of people on Reddit. Yeah. That's fair. Yeah, that's fair. That's fair.

2:21:27They didn't sell many tickets. We got a ton of people. None of them tapped in. I mean, they want to see me in dope. But here's the thing, bro. I think the reason that we even have shit like that is because like for the first time in like human history, we're all so different. Right. Like what I do, what you do. But if we can find one thing that we can channel to talk shit about, even if you don't, even if you, bro, I've had niggas. I've had people like you talking about the Reddit and the YouTube. I've had people watch them shits and come to my shows to not like me and be like, bro, I just had to come see if you was funny.

2:22:03Yeah. And they probably fuck with you after that, right? Exactly. So what I'm saying is, bro, we're at such a different point in humanity that we're all so different that if we ain't got shit going on in life and our life sucks and somebody can give us a nigga who we can't beat up. You can't beat up, Brendan Shaw. Probably looks better than me. In shape. Got millions of dollars. because if y 'all can convince me why I should hate this successful nigga, let's all pile in. We all unite for that. But successful niggas is not - Also, he has the same problem as Adam, like he's too cool to comedy. So Adam is too talled up.

2:22:38Oh yeah. Minus the fighting. I'm too busy trying to figure out how to be like a multi multi-millionaire then to, I mean, it's not like a good, if I was younger in my career, yeah, I would go on all these things, YouTube and leave comments, but for, I mean. Not necessarily you'd leave in comments, but it's almost like. I would do that if I was. Roast on back. You're looking like a PR kind of type of thing. If I was a young bull, I'd do that. So like I got my fan base and it's increasing and my ticket sales are doing well. And I'm on a tour now for like the next three years. So it's like. So it's like an ego thing you feel like.

2:23:13It would be an ego thing for me because it's like. Even if you do cut on my show and don't like me, bitch, I got your ticket money. Yeah, facts. Let me ask you this. Do you find it as a comedian that technology is impeding on the ability for comedians such as yourself to organically build that hour just because of how everything is so microwave? Everything is so fast. Like, do you feel like it kind of fucks up the function way of creating that special? The hour, the silent majority, bro. That's what I would say. The silent majority. The minority is very loud through Reddit and YouTube. They're very loud.

2:23:47The silent majority who buy tickets don't even go on that shit. I'm on a theater tour right now with the Killers of Kill Tony and we're doing like 7 ,000, 6 ,000 5 ,000 tickets a weekend so it's like who gives a fuck if a nigga go make a YouTube video about me bro by the end of this tour nigga my kids ain't gotta worry about shit again you know what I'm saying so Dave is not funny cool there's so many bubbles in the world that people are existing in and thriving I just try to stay in the positive. I mean, niggas ain't going to like me. One last question I would have on that is Tony kind of went on Rogan recently, right?

2:24:29And he sort of responded to the criticism about his roast jokes and George Floyd joke and stuff. And a lot of people felt like his response was a little lame where he was just like, well, all the people critiquing me are broke and they're losers and their careers didn't work out the way that they should have. But do you feel like, because even some of the stuff you're saying, it feels a little bit like, I respect what you're saying. It's like, yeah, well, I'm still selling out hella shows. I'm still making hella money. That's cool. But if we're just debating like the art form of comedy, like him kind of deflecting and saying well all the people critiquing me are losers and their careers didn't take off but like a small comedian selling out a small venue but that has his integrity and is making comedy and art that you know they feel is pushing the boundaries better than just you know trying to pacify the biggest audience possible like do you do you not feel like there's some still some validity to that even other comedians critiquing comedians or is it just like my jokes are my jokes i'm not taking any criticism from other comedians other youtubers they're all broke they're all they're all irrelevant like i ain't gonna call it i ain't gonna call another comedian bro i ain't gonna call another i ain't even gonna call it i just feel like this if i i like the fact that there is reddit you should be able to get it off yeah i like the fact that niggas make youtube videos go make your money and if you gotta fucking put slam on my neck go do like i i i genuinely don't give a fuck i really don't bro but that's just my mindset like i i my my childhood right like it conditioned me for this and what i'm saying is if if i if so i mean i got criticized by a lot of comedians and everything when i had the george floyd thing and i didn't go out and say they were broken their career i mean bro i did it and now you got an opportunity to say your piece and that's just how i feel like regardless anything i put out whether good or bad nigga you got opportunity to say your piece and i'm not finna go over here and engage in a battle with you because I said my mind now you said your mind I can't disagree with your mind and I can't say what you said is wrong because then it opens the space to where it's like well what you said was wrong how you gonna say what he said is wrong let me ask you this is there anybody in your world that if they critique you or give you some criticisms you really take it like I respect this individual and when you say what I do appreciate is when older comedians like T.K.

2:26:37Kirkland came to me like three years ago I had a nigga I couldn't have had a more perfect set you know what I'm saying the the proper breaks for applauses laughter throughout the whole 20 minute set and he came up to me not in front of everybody like some community hey young brother you're funny as hell but you need to expand your knowledge that is a great way to tell a nigga broaden your shit up because he said the world needs to know you don't just make it for this group so a follow-up question to that because that makes so much sense forget about the youtubers and the redditors and all that bullshit have you ever been on a run or had a set or even just told a joke where maybe you thought it was funny going in but afterwards you look back and you was like i wasn't proud of that that was hacky like that that was below my own standard all the time yeah because i um unless i'm headlining and or doing a showcase for like agents or something i'm always trying out new shit that i and then i'm i might say it and it's not like somebody else can say that it ain't it ain't like me specific and it wasn't your voice you know yeah it wasn't my voice enough like i got a joke and y 'all any community can take it where i'd be like my dad's hispanic so i'd be like i'm um i'm black and hispanic uh my lower half is black because my dick is lazy and don't want to work you know so it's like Like, it's a poop, but it's not me.

2:28:00It's not me. And it's like, ugh. Anybody can come up with that. That's an easy joke where a nigga be like, oh, he stole that. It's like not specific enough. Yeah. And it was just something I thought of. Like, my dick don't want to work. And it's like, ugh. I know we got to wrap it up probably soon, but can we bring up that bison one, that video? Oh, that old nigga. And one last question before, because I'm a huge comedy nerd. So is there anybody that you have taken that OG stance for, like TK did for you, where you've seen other comedians, and you kind of said, hey man, like that you got to fix up.

2:28:29That ain't the one. Like have you played that role too? I feel like you got to be universally respected and universally funny. I don't feel like I'm at the tier to really tell a nigga what's funny and what's not funny. You know what I'm saying? Like there's, it's like, I'm not there. I don't have any, unless you're open micr. I don't got no business giving you no advice. If you were working, touring, comedian, booking shows, I shouldn't really be telling you nothing because we're essentially in the same little arena. I haven't elevated and you can easily be where I'm at. And I was just where you was at not too long ago.

2:29:03I've just been blessed to be on platforms that put me in front of a lot of people. But I don't really, I don't feel like I have the experience to really, I could be like, hey, try this. But I ain't finna really say that ain't funny. I just don't feel like I should. Yeah, yeah. I feel like there's, I feel like in all honesty, there might only be like 10 comedians alive who can just go up to anybody and say that's not funny and you need to be a master it's like another podcaster if another podcast on the same level as you the fuck you want to hear from him about you need to be like cemented to be like undeniable and tk was he's undeniable so i'm like oh yeah i'm gonna listen to this nigga but like you know comics do that shit all the time like hey bro try this this may make that hit a little harder A little tag here.

2:29:48That makes sense. That gives a lot of context to why some guy in his basement, you're not respecting his opinion. I feel like these are the questions people have wanted to know. I really like the answers. I mean, at the end of the day, bro, if you able to be on Reddit and you got an opinion about me, make it. Continue to make it. I don't like... I'm not in my final form and now you're seeing comedians prematurely than what you would have saw them 20 years ago. It's like, hey bro, watch me through this whatever this is. This period of where we finding our voice and figuring out who the fuck we are on stage.

2:30:29It might be rough for a couple of years. You know what I'm saying? Think about all the cool niggas where you'll see somebody post on social media. Oh man, I saw. I remember where Kevin Hart is right now. I remember seeing Kevin Hart 15 years ago. and now you get to compare that to like where he's at it's too i don't know it's like pressure makes diamonds so that kind of comes full circle exactly what you said so and uh actually just just to follow up ross i have a comedy nerd question as well just because like you've had so much experience in the different venues and all that there and you're um affiliated with this group there's so much critique seemingly over like the joel rogan adjacent comics like particularly at the mothership when it comes to leaning on racism for shock value.

2:31:20And you said earlier, like you ain't feeling it. Like when, um, non black people say the N word, you ain't feeling it. When people, you said even like, uh, growing up, like the white boys, I was trying to be cool and they would use the N word, but that's kind of like, I mean, I heard, I heard a Mexican saying it was just like, once I saw that was what y 'all do, it's like, okay, well, what the fuck I'm about to do? No, no, no.

2:31:43that's you know coming from where you come from i feel like that's clearly one million percent valid do you feel like those critiques and and anything you've experienced over there like validates that like that people are that those comedians are being a little bit racist and that can that environment is conducive to just racism for the sake of racism under the veil or auspice of comedy i mean bro i i think great comedy is when you can push those lines and push those margins louis ck does it best um is he racist he said that word in a special does that make him racist you know what i'm saying i think racism is more than a word like if a comedian it's like people call tony racist and i know a totally different person so it's like when he when he goes on stage and make a joke that people might not get it's like i know him right so i can't even look at him as racist and i know how he is so it's like i don't even with rogan like i've never i've never i'll say this all the comedians we do have dark sense of humor but they've never said something to me or around me or around any of the other black comics that was racial racially insensitive.

2:33:00I've never experienced that. Is it difficult to like to the point where if is it for you to conceive of all right this is another white boy saying the exact same thing like is it even possible for you to okay like let's say there's because you're like oh I know Tony ain't racist he up there saying this let's say it's another white boy though saying the exact same shit as Tony. Would it be like... Shane? Or like someone you don't know, per se. Shane had a very funny joke when he said, I thought Spirit Airlines shut down how all these black people get here. That shit was funny as fuck. That shit was funny as fuck.

2:33:41I guess, do you feel like it comes down to like you could tell when someone's being hateful or not? Well, I'm just... And I guess that's why people call me a coon and a pay man. Oh, I lost that word. I guess bro I'm just open like I bro unless you do something to like try to harm me I ain't gonna view you as racist and I believe everybody is a human and then if you if I do think you racist I probably want to sit down and talk to you to find like what the fuck happened get to the root of it why you like this like do you really hate niggas or you just be saying you know what I'm saying like I would like want to ask that question like what's up like what happened bro why you like that yeah no I love comedy as much is the next guy, but let's check out this bison clip.

2:34:23I'm tired of talking this inside baseball shit. I love you guys. Let's keep it pushing. It's in it.

2:34:33Uncle Lush went to Yosemite or Yellowstone. Had to. Is there somebody on his head? We see some people in the back. Just keep an eye on those folks in the back. Why the fuck would you be that close to a wild animal? He's sitting there like... He's trying to get a good pick. He like, oh, you playing in my face. They all just held up. Y 'all ain't never been on vacation in them places? You ain't thinking that. He's like, man, you got me fucked up, nigga. Let me roll and get up. Man, I'm about to go hit me a nigga. Man, where this white boy at, man? What genre of animal is a bison? I'm on your ass.

2:35:07I'm on your ass. I'm on your ass here, Frederick. Is it like a horse type animal? Probably in the same category as like a... Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, okay, yeah. They're woolly mammoth. The way it was rolling. and I was thinking, they're like elegance. He hits him with a couple of loop-de-loops, the old man. And then he catches him laughing. Why'd he stop? He's trying to hit him with the reverse. You know, he goes around. He on your ass. He hits one more spin, and he catches him like, oh! Oh!

2:35:38Let's go! That old man is dead, right? Like, this engine is like... No, no, he's fine. He's chopping it up doing interviews. There's no way he's fine. Bro, he shook it off and said he's good. I swear to God. That's old school, Whitey. Yeah. Different bones. That's pressure building. Time is in a day. I'm telling y 'all. We ain't built like that, bro. Hell no. I would die. I'd be out of here. Yeah, for sure. He's good. More than 60, bro. He tried to outsmart the fucking bull, though. Nigga, that was ridiculous. Are buffaloes related to, or bison, are they related to like moose, a.k.a. Mises? True.

2:36:13Yeah, shout out to my cousin. I would think so. Yeah. They're in the same genre. Oh, God, yeah. Mooses have to fuck Bison. Yeah, what is their scientific calendar? Because they're mammals, of course. They kind of taste somewhere in between deer and burger. They're herbivores, though, right? They only eat vegetables, right? Oh, actually, bison burgers smack. I'll tell y 'all that. But they don't eat meat. No, I don't think so. They don't eat meat. I don't think we... Pigs will. They eat whatever. Pigs will eat whatever. They'll eat anything. They got a split hoof. They do absolutely not. No, no, too much.

2:36:48Fun facts with Doughboy. I love that. Fun facts with Doughboy. They eat humans too. They eat whatever the fuck you put in the slop pot. I think the bison was just spinning for all, you know, like the white man has taken a lot of his homies out over the years. Millions of them. Oh, Yellowstone. Honestly, hey, why are you running up on the natives? True, yeah. At least the natives kept a few of them around. The whites pulled up and cleared them out. Hey, bro, you ain't seen Dances with Wolves? The bad guy tried for the other, I ain't even gonna say it like that, but the ops. They stacking all the skulls on top of each other.

2:37:20Yeah, that fool's had hats as far as, they're putting BTA ops bison, bro. He's a slide on the real ops, yeah. There's like thousands of dead, and they left the meat. That's why Kevin Costner and them was picking me like, oh, hell nah. Like, they say, like, Kevin Costner, oh God, shout out to him. Just saying. Yeah, shout out to all the bison out there. That had to be scary as fuck. Hell yeah. Come on. You think you could shake a bison? or like the old combo was like shake a hippo. I'm hitting that nigga with that. Nigga. And I'm out of there. You think you could juke him. That's how I put you on the basketball.

2:37:52I'll put you on some skates. But for some reason you ain't bringing your shoes today. I forgot my shorts. For some reason you ain't bringing your shoes. I forgot this short. You ain't wearing draws either you said. I got some shorts in the car. It's lit. Where do basketball court at? You know I'll bust your ass. I don't think so. They call me the hefty lefty.

2:38:10This is what we got to deal with On the regular David We've been holding him down While you've been gone Touring You know doing your Delusional Doughboy I hit you with that I hit you with that Ginobili nigga Hey Doughboy Fuck some shit in the bathroom here What you think about that Fuck the bitch Yeah you do Look just like him David know I got hoes You have I don't know what you got now No shawty look like Like he spawned out of his Like he unzipped his own skin and then like a female spawner crawled out. Like this isn't her shell. He cracked a bit. Where's the security footage? It didn't happen.

2:38:44It's in the bathroom. No, we have footage of him coming onto the pod and announcing it. It was a 24 hour stream and I made a joke and everybody took it to life. No, no, no. Was he streaming here for 24 hours? Yeah. And he fucked in here. It was hella funny. We did like three so far. Yeah, it was lit. You stayed here the whole 24 hours? I stayed for 24 hours. He sleeps about 12. Yeah, he still assed up. Joe Boy is the most so-licking sleeper. Do you put you sleeping on the stream? Yeah, but for a little bit. He would sleep right next to Krip Mac. Then I was eating sausage McMuffins in the morning.

2:39:10Krip Mac on 55th Street? That nigga? They slept next to each other. How is it possible to sleep next to Krip Mac? Like, he too loud. He waking you up. Yeah, was he snoring? He a big dude? I didn't sleep next to him. Yeah, he's a big dude. Yeah, he look big. He's part Samoan. I also got the no jumper tattoo that night. What do you think of that? Hey, David, could Krip Mac do stand up? Forget Adam, could Krip Mac hit the stage? he could get away with his personality for a half an hour okay now we might go we might go signed to cook up i think bro that's because just watching that niggas entertaining i was like bro people like that who have a hell of a personality they should just host and friends because the thing is you come up top you have a comedian open then you do like 10 15 with your personality some crowd work then you bring like other real comedians then you might just come back could we do adam and friends you can do whatever you want i want you to get behind this man

2:40:45Boo Capone, Patrick. No, he invited the whole city of LA. Yeah. And nobody got in, but it's okay. People were doing really intricate, like bars against Fripp Mac. They had like funny, like, like really well-written rosy. You was. Yeah, it's good. Cut your custer ass cinch. Then they're going to be like, everything goes.
