In short
Yak Gotti discusses his release after the YSL R.I.C.O. case, his time in jail (including fights and conditions), his relationship with lawyers, and how leaked interrogation footage and rumors affected him. He also comments on Gunna’s plea, public perceptions of “snitching,” and how violent rap lyrics were treated in court.
Guest(s)
Yak Gotti (interviewee). No other named guests appear in the transcript; the host is not identified by name.
Guest background
Yak Gotti is a YSL-associated rapper who says he was incarcerated for years, claims he took his case to trial, and describes being held in high-security conditions with codefendants separated by rules. He credits his lawyers and a strong support system (mother, father, stepmom, brothers) for getting through the process.
Key claims
- He was booked for murder at intake and says he “beat it,” emphasizing freedom as the outcome.
- He says the interrogation video was old and that he wasn’t trying to hide anything; he disputes claims that he “snitched on Duke.”
- He argues rap violence is often entertainment and that “rounds” can be interpreted as people/partners, not literal shootings.
- He says Gunna’s plea was a legal decision, not necessarily betrayal, and he doesn’t get caught in the “divide and conquer” narrative.
Notable examples
- He describes “Right Street” jail conditions and “50 fights.”
- He recounts seeing Gunna leave on a “sunflow” area window during plea news.
- He mentions being stabbed once “in the dome” and says recovery was quick because he was already healed.

Feeling good man Can't believe it, there was a period there Where we didn't know we were ever going to do another podcast I knew it was You always had faith Perfect Perfect I always had faith it's a beautiful thing because we got our first one in probably like a year before you got locked up or maybe like two years but it was like kind of close together right crazy yeah it's crazy bro life life be life yeah to say the least um how long you been out now though you smiling ear to ear I got every reason to but a month 30 days first thing you did when you touched down?
1:59I wouldn't see my baby, my daughter. Family time, you know. When pulled up on my lawyers. Should I do it? Do it when I see. You just got crazy close with your lawyers throughout the whole process? For sure. For sure. It's like, when you're in a situation like that, then it's like, I'm seeing them every day. So it's like, hey, I'm counting on you. And I'm depending on you, you know? I mean, your lawyer was on Vlad. yeah he's out here doing a whole media run shout out to Katie Hingerton and Jayap is that the closest you ever got with a white guy Canada for sure for sure you never thought about it like that I ain't never even thought about it like that over the closest life I fuck with you too I appreciate it you gave me one of my first shots but if we worked together every day for four years or whatever it was Three years.
2:57Three years, yeah. Every day. That shit was like, school. I got to get up at my cell. Five, six in the morning. Go down there. Got them handcuffs, shackles, feet cuffed, padded wagon. And just like, he learned me. You know what I'm saying? Like, they was trying to make me out to be a goddamn serial killer. Right. And like, he actually learned who I was. He fought for you Yeah Like even in that Vlad interview which I watched a bunch of parts from last night He's like he's kind of combative Like he's really like mad At the way that the system Treated you Yeah man they tried to fuck me But he fought for me though Shout out to Doug Shout out to Doug Everybody need a good lawyer in their corner Um Shit so This is a start, yeah.
3:54It's a lot of shit. Let's just start with... Talk to me. I mean, you've been out for like 30, 40 days now, right? For sure. I seen you drop the song the other day. Yeah, first one out. First one out. Yeah. How often you in the studio nowadays? Periodically. You know, it ain't like it was because I'm healing. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. My sanity and peace be more important than just like go rap. But at the same time, rap is my therapy. So that's like I talk to that mic. You know what I'm saying? But it's like I'm getting it together. It's a judgment, you feel me? Yeah. You were writing bars down while you were locked up or not?
4:34Yeah, man. I'm pushing people through my raps away, though. Really? I do everything away. They rate them and say I do everything away. Whoa. Why did they throw it away, though? They hang? Yeah. Hang? Is that Wright Street? For sure. So, yeah, because I heard you talk about Wright Street. saying that was one of the most crooked, hardest places to do the time at, right? Right Street, yeah. They're more of a crowd. Knife Street. Free Right Street, though. Freedom Bar. But Right Street, it was a crazy experience. 50 fights. Like, real 50 fights. You had 50 fights? Yes. Whoa. I can't count. They fight.
5:14I'm talking about me. Yeah. For sure. I'm dealing with it there, though. What star in the fights, though? What? Shit they put me on the news every day. Yeah. It's not like, I'm yet, so I'm like, yeah. Motherfucking goddamn, you can get your stripes off, you can goddamn do something to me, make a diss song, you know how this shit go. Yeah. Why ends? Man, they crazy. Yeah, so you had to deal with the young niggas in there trying to get a name off you? What? Yeah. What? Yeah, what the hell, you know how it go, all right. I'm built for it. I seen when you, I think the first, when you got out, for one of the first things you said, you feel like you was reborn.
5:59For sure. What's the feeling of, you know what I'm saying, like having all them years taken away, now you back out. And what's the stipulations though? Like, because you technically beat it, right? Yeah, I beat it. Yeah, he's the only one who really took it to trial, right? I'll take that shit. Yeah. Yeah. I took it to trial too, man. It's like that way you got to watch it. And this will miss it. Like, you got to watch what you say. It's on powerful. But in the same time, like, I'm an artist, so music in my heart. So I grew up listening to Mr. Bids, you know? So, like, I just feel like taking, like, we were remade.
6:36Because the Taking the Child song was a remix. It was a remake. Although, we couldn't, like, long live Mr. Bids. But we couldn't kind of, like, remake his song. Yeah. So we just, like, you feel me? we ain't knowing we actually gonna go through this yeah but you know because like the lyrically i remember title in a clip or maybe the full interview something about like yeah god he speaks on what he meant by saying he had bodies on bodies and so then when this trial actually cracks up like a year later or whatever i mean it did feel kind of crazy like oh shit like that title just feels and looks way different given what he's now accused of man please like baddest on baddest it's like women you know like I got women on women but that was 2014 I believe you know what I'm saying so I wasn't even no like I wasn't even like I'm not thinking about no damn murders and shit like that.
7:44I'm talking about women and we just living. You know what I'm saying? And so... And I mean, it's like, you say some... You're in the studio. You say some random tough shit. I assume you don't plan on people inspecting the validity of these statements or taking these statements as fact. Right. When you just say, you know, not you, but we got 100 round choppers or whatever. It's like, yeah, rappers say they got a bunch of guns. That's kind of just like an established rap trope. It's entertainment. It's entertainment. It's like
8:20it's entertainment and that's why I say the tone is powerful because it's down on like we didn't know we were influenced on the whole generation on the rare. We're just like trying to make it out of our situation. So it's like I don't like Like, they tried to make it. I believe it was some shit. Like, they tried to make it say, like, 100 rounds in the Tahoe. You know, round mean, like, my partner, my bro. Mm-hmm. You know, like. 100 people is a lot of people to put in the car, though. Yeah, you put 100 people in the car. Shit, you know where I came from? Shit. You finna pile up in there, motherfucker.
9:00It's like, that's my take on it. You know, like, you can't tear me my life. you gotta actually ask you know what I'm saying but does that make you think twice now about what you were putting in songs cause I'm sure that a lot of people involved with this particular trial now are kinda like damn I wish I didn't say some of the shit that I said most certainly most certainly they kinda like slow down my artistry but at the same time like it be like a bliss in the sky cause shit hey man it made me think about it and I gotta be more creative. You know what I'm saying? More conscious. You know what I'm saying?
9:43More depth. Because it's kind of always easy to just resort to saying some violent shit or some shit about some street shit in a song. It's like the easiest shit to make sound cool. Right. Because that's how I grew up. That's what I've seen. That's what I know. So it's like I'm the voice for multiple people. That don't mean I'm rapping about what I went through all my life. Yeah. I'm rapping actually in terms of what I've seen or what I've been through or what my peers have been through. You feel like that's playing with your freedom of speech a little bit, right? Yeah, that's the first goddamn amendment, ain't it?
10:26Freedom of speech. You got to say what you want to say. I at least can say what I want to say. I ain't bring no motherfucker. 100%. So, all right. I was just thinking about this. Like, would break down where you were at in life and what your day was like right before the Rico ends up dropping and you end up getting arrested? Like, where were you at? What was life like at that exact moment? Shit, I had to check that out. From some other shit? From the feeds. Oh, okay. Yeah. I was in Talladega. Shout out to them boys in Saturday In Alabama But Down there I was like
11:12Grinding trying to get everything together You know what I'm saying Trying to get my emotions and shit going And Then it's like I had moved out here I had moved to Canada You know what I'm saying Get away from everything Just like The focus Me ain't like Key Long little key He When I was doing my violation He was like Bro just come out here Like let's do it Whatever You know what I'm saying And Fuck around I went back for Mother's Day To see my mama And then Shit Boy Three years later Four years later You know what I'm saying Like Just like So you got snatched up When you went home To go see your mama Well definitely I was going to goddamn give my mom her flowers and what I had to get to her for Monday because I moved away from her to pursue my dreams and my goals.
12:08So who got snatched first? Because I remember the moment everybody realized this shit was serious when we seen the video of Young Thug outside the house and they were like, oh shit, the Rico shit going down. Were you already locked up or they snatched you after that? Nah, I got snatched at the same time. Oh, so the same day? Yeah. So all y 'all was getting picked up pretty much the same day. Yeah, like, we got locked up at the house. Yeah. Yeah. So you was at that same house? That was that? Mo' Def. Oh, shit. Because I didn't see you in the video. Because he was like, so then I say, all right, it makes sense.
12:40It makes sense. Yeah, I got locked up. Whatever, May 9th. Mo' Def, May 9th. Like one of the worst days of my life. He put up now type of tanks and shit. Like, what the hell? You feel him? Like, big-ass tanks. Had you had any kind of feeling that something might have been going on? because you did you moved out and shit was there anything like sort of on your mind like maybe shit is heating up no because at the end of the day i know i ain't did shit so i like
13:14what's the problem with trying to make it out you know i'm saying like we created opportunities and planning business for a lot of people you know i'm saying like what the hell we did you feel me like what the hell I did like why is all this chaos like helicopters choppers and all type of shit just like on top of that I just lost two friends I grew up with a lonely on on top of that shit I just lost a sister you know what I'm saying Thor just lost one of his baby mamas. So it's like, you know, it's in hands. It's like extra dramatic, bro. That shit is dramatic. You know what I'm saying? So you had no idea what this could possibly be related to for the whole time that you were arrested and when you're being processed in and everything?
14:15No, I'm gone. You got to understand. From the time they said they did an investigation on how that shit goes, I'm locked up. the majority of this time. So, it's like, what could I even possibly do? Like, you know, I'm locked up. I'm not even in that line. So, like, it's like, what the hell? What's going on? I ain't find out. I ain't find out I was booked for a murder to intake. I'm like, what are my charges here? I'm thinking, it's like, just recall, whatever, game charge. I just did five in the fed for a game charge. so it's like it's double jeopardy so it's like what the hell I actually did and it's like damn boy you told murder and Rico murder?
15:05who the hell I murdered? like when they you feel? yeah it's like nah hell nah and it's gotta be like extra stressful cause obviously the first thing you wanna do is just have conversations with everybody else involved with it but meanwhile you can't talk to anybody right? yeah I ain't time trying to talk nobody for nothing up or do this or that. You know what I'm saying? Like, and I've been going through this shit since I was 17, so I kind of understand what's going on or I'm able to adapt or grasp. But at the same time, like, hey, man, what's going on? Like, okay, what's our own dorm? Really?
15:45Own dorm. Yep, their whole dorm out and put seven people in there. It was like Every night I'm sleeping in a different cell Like I don't know if this shit wired, bug I don't know what the hell going on So you're in there with all of your Codefendants? That's unnormal But like Probably like 4-5-1, 7-1 So you want to talk to them, they're right in front of you But you're too paranoid about if it's being recorded? Yeah I don't have a little night, we in the same Dorm cell, whatever but you don't supposed to be around your code of feeling when you locked up. That's a rule. That's a law or some shit.
16:24It's like super obvious. Why else would they... Man, why y 'all put all this in here? Get rid of everybody else too so that every conversation is something that they might be able to use. It's like, you know, your inner conscience talking to you like, hey man, what's going on? Something ain't looking right. Something ain't feeling right. But who was in this door? Not Thug, right? Nah, yeah, not Thug.
16:46You know me, that nigga dude.
16:51dude gunner what they got gunner right out of there though like a couple days in um shouty it's not like shouting yeah slow
17:11got um couple more folk did you figure out a way that you could actually have conversations or you just didn't even try? Nah, it ain't really nothing to talk about. You know what I'm saying? Like, it really ain't too much to talk about, like. But y 'all at least wanted to figure out, like, what you charged with, what you, like. Oh, yeah, hey, I got to, bought him out of that. Oh, God. You feel me like, what the hell? Okay, what's your charge? What's my charge? What's your charge? I got to, you know. So initially, when they came to Thug House, you did run for Thug Creek, didn't it? And they caught you?
17:39Yeah, I got out of there. I got out of there. He's talking about. Just what, out through the back? Like, was it like woods or some shit? I don't even remember where I went, how I went. I just know I was goddamn some miles a week. I got ailments or whatever, whatever. But I got kind of crooked out. You, like, found a different level of cardio that you didn't know that you had? What? I didn't know there were the police. I ain't trying to run from the police, but I didn't. I just told you I went through some real shit. Like, I just lost two, like, partners I grew up with, you know what I'm saying, who supported me.
18:14Yeah. And then I lost a sister who, like, is my nephew mama. You see what I'm saying? Shout out to KVN. But this my nephew mama, you feel me, man. She was with us before anything, like, before the rail was on to this shit. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. It was, like, extra dramatic. it like man why all these goddamn choppers and guns I think somebody's trying to kill us like you feel so eventually where they catch you at or you turn yourself in how did that how did that play out um shit some couple miles away yeah you were just in somebody's backyard or some shit hell nah I was on somebody else private I was at the hospital oh I'm gonna go goddamn I'm yeah I was way on why the hospital though shit they were behind You know what I'm saying?
19:04They were hiding the settle we had. Yeah, yeah. Oh, definitely. Yeah, I got you. Damn, all right. So, I mean, hold on. One thing you did say, though, you said they put all y 'all in the St. Holden tank or whatever. But you said Gunna, they took Gunna up out of there. Not the Holden tank or Dorm. Dorm, I mean, yeah. They got Gunna out of there. They lied on Gunna to my. This shit's so crazy, bro. They lied on him to my nurse who was finna bring him some drugs. Hmm. Man, Gunnar don't know nothing about no drills or nothing. He trying to see, like, what the hell going on. Like, I'm locked up. Like, it's a whole different.
19:40See, I mean, getting locked up with some team, like, it's a whole different situation for him. You know what I'm saying? Like, he like, what? Like, I'm trying to have to make him eat. Like, you feel me? Hey, bro, eat, bro. Like, what you doing? Like. Because one thing the internet was saying, when Thug and Gunnar got locked up, they was, like, trying to say, like, I know them boys going through withdrawals or whatever. like can you know niggas be doing whatever they do and then you said that they lied on him and said the nurse was trying to sneak him some drug where did they even get that theory from hell if I know but that's why he got snatched up out of y 'all yeah yeah I feel like a lot of times if there's something that people are thinking there's just gonna be a rumor that fulfills that even if it's not based on anything you know everybody's already having the conversation and everybody when Brick got locked up same thing everybody like damn that's crazy Free the Brit, man.
20:28You got perks all of a sudden. Free the Brit. Free shit, man. Free the Brit, man. Free that boy. We got to get a history lesson on you and him, too, at some point here. Free shit, my boy. I'm going to add that to the bottom of the list. Okay, say that. Okay. Say that. Say that. Okay, but, like, I mean, how long were you in there before you actually started to go to trial? A year. A year before trial. Yeah. Okay. And did you, like, how did you figure out your lawyer situation? and had you already worked with the lawyers that you ended up using? Pure faith. I just had to gamble. I had to gamble between.
21:05I just had to.
21:09Somebody referred me to a list of lawyers, and someone came to see me. Someone video chatting me, then came to see me. It's just like, damn. And then like I wanted Matt Sharp When Shannon got him Shout out to Shannon too Shout out to that boy B's But Okay then Some kind of way My initial lawyer J.E.P. He FaceTimed me like shit I'm gonna get you out We gonna beat this shit That's all I had here that's all I had here just like were all the lawyers you were talking to showing confidence like that though or yeah nah something like some of these lawyers swap your ass out yeah some of these lawyers swap your ass out so like you gotta be cautious of who you actually hire you know what I'm saying more definitely damn for sure but uh was Thug like paying for people's lawyers or does it not work like that I don't know, but I don't think he paid for no matter what.
22:26You know what I'm saying? But it ended up costing you, like, an insane amount of money, I assume, right? Most certainly. $200 ,000. Jesus. I ain't even had$200 ,000 to give. You hear me, like? Right. I don't get no better, man. You hear me, like? Yeah. But go ahead, man. The best money spent? Ever in my life. What else would you rather spend it on, yeah? Freedom. Yeah, Freedom. That's about it. Freedom. Yeah. Freedom. Then I had to initially pay another$50 ,000 to get out after the case even over. Oh, word. Another$150 ,000 on top of that? Why so much? No. $50 ,000, right? $50 ,000. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
23:12Yeah. Why extra$50, please? I feel like the cable so high profile, just like, hey, they were going on. Yeah. But I can't argue with my freedom. You know what I'm saying? I got to handle the business. I'm standing on the business. How long did it take before they took you out of that dorm and put you in, like, general population where you have to start dealing with all these crazy people that are stabbing people and whatnot, apparently? Oh, I was always in general population. I've never been, like, PCO. The dorm was just, like, while they're taking you in? It was just us, but a week later, shit, they filled them up, so they were even more scared.
23:50They could be informing this motherfucker, anything. Right. You know what I'm saying? After they were even more just enhanced. They filled their motherfucker up, filled up more people. Unfamiliar faces and all that type of shit. But I ain't even staying at dawn alone. I got a little altercation there, and they sent me to the sound flow. I started on the field flow, went to the sound flow. Then had to go back to the field flow. So the first altercation that you had on the fifth floor, that's a different floor? Sure. First altercation. Get up out of there. Sound flow. What was that one about? Like, what kind of stuff is causing these issues?
24:30Nigga Trav, man. Shit. Like, I don't want to get too much help. But nigga Trav, nigga took something from him. Well, he didn't take it from me, but he took something, man. When I seen him, shit, that was that. Shout out to him, too. shout that boy out. Ain't gonna be no smoking, no pressure. I can't, you know, I can't go for that. Period. Every night. One nigga take something from you in the air, but then they're gonna be all right, then they're high. You just called it right out. Yeah. That fuck's your game. You just called it right out. Like, no. You're gonna do great one day. I'm good. You're gonna be great.
25:06Keep Remo free. Yeah, keep, yeah, free. Free Mo. Yeah. Free Mo. All right, so y 'all, so you sitting for one year, right? Now you linking with your lawyers and shit every day and then the trial about to start. What day did the trial start? I can't even give you no specific date cause like that shit crazy like I'm still healing and traumatized but I can't give you no specific date. But I know like okay we got locked up. May 9th trial ain't starts like January and then it ain't actually start to around in this May. It was like juror selection. Yeah. Motions. Motions on motions. Like, so many emotions.
25:52Because at the time, on the blogs, we keep hearing, like, oh, this is probably going to be the longest trial in history. Are y 'all hearing these news and shit, too? Like, they're saying, like. No, I ain't know it was going to be that long. That's what they, on the blogs, they kept trying to say, like, the jury selection process was going to take a year. Like, it was just a whole bunch of everyone was like, damn, they're going to be fighting this for a long ass time. Like, how much coverage and how much news was actually getting to you while you went saw it? Like, did you know the case was getting this high profile?
26:19I am discreet, so like, I knew everything was going on. I ain't saying that to you. I know it's him. But at the same time, like, you can't believe everything. You hear it, but you don't believe everything. But you just like, I was taught to pray for the best and expect the worst. You know what I'm saying? Like, they was just like, I'm expecting anything. Well, I'm be prepared for anything. Whatever they was in front of my plate, I was going to be prepared for. But does anyone in there have a phone? Or is it more like people are just calling you and saying, like, yo, academics just posted this about your case?
27:03I don't know. I ain't trying to get in, boy. I ain't trying to get in, pretty boy. You were finding stuff out one way or another. I would find shit out, though, for sure. Yeah. Yeah. I was finding out You know It's like See there's a thing bro When I was going to jail When I was young Shit It was just like Transition But there's times It's like enhanced Cause I'm just One of the biggest artists In the world So A couple of the biggest artists In the world So It's like But it's yet The police is calling me yet Yeah I'm saying So I'm gonna find out What the hell is going on By the officers It's like, hey, yeah, you good?
Read the full transcript
27:46Ooh. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. So it's a little special treatment y 'all getting in there. A little. I wouldn't say, like, special treatment. You know what I'm saying? But, like. The notoriety, they. It's a little more notoriety, though. Yeah, so they more in tune to be, like, you know what I'm saying, keeping up with your case versus the other inmates and shit because they in Atlanta, too, and shit. What is? Like, this is the city. The way I was raised. The way I made my name. So it's like, I know what's going on. They know what's going on. Trial on the TV every day. Yeah. They done, it's multiple people getting further notice.
28:28The FM motherfucker. Just because our case. And that wasn't even right. Y 'all got people who been here way longer than we done been here. And they shit getting pushed back. Because of y 'all. Because of us. Or we done had all the lawyers. they had original. So it's like, you know what I'm saying? It was like, I was kind of like
28:51reciprocating the energy they gave me. You know what I'm saying?
28:57Bro. Gee, shit, bro.
29:03Like, I just breathe breath in so many people just to even be here. I got so many people depending on me, bro. I got so many people I met, and they were genuine with this shit. You know what I'm saying? That's what it is. Each one teach one. One hand wash the other. Prayer call every morning. You know what I'm saying? Shit like that. That's what got me through. You know what I'm saying? Before I leave out there, I'm going to tell the officer, like, hold on. I got to get this prayer off. I got to hold on. Because it was real. You know what I'm saying? You go in and out and you gotta let somebody else represent you and speak on your behalf.
29:47Yeah. You know how many times I want to get up and speak for myself? That part. Nah, for sure. During the trial, right? You like... What? Hold on, let me stand up. You know what I'm like? Hold on. They're real. It's my life. Niggas was looking at y 'all faces and body language and shit during certain shit. You feel me? You gotta like... poker face and shit out. All right, so let's take it back. So before the trial even started, a whole bunch of shit was circulating. So one of the main things that had circulated was, all right, so when did you find out Thug or Gunna took his plea deal and he got up?
30:21Because y 'all all in there, and then eventually you got to hear like, oh, shit, Gunna got up. Yeah. So where were you at when you heard that news? I was on Sunflow. I seen, like, the Sunflow had windows that you could see out of it, so I seen that boy pull out, maybe I'm sure. But at the same time, like, I used it as motivation. But so you saw him leave, but you didn't know what the circumstances were yet? Mm-hmm. That's crazy. That's a mental image right there. Yeah, some shit like that, though. I seen him leave, but I ain't. He's a big guy truck. You feel me? But at the same time, I knew too, though, because, you know, like, I got a lawyer.
30:58I got a paid lawyer. Yeah. I got a 200 ,000. Shit. I know. You better tell me what that's going on. Yeah. Yeah, I got to send him something. So you kind of knew in advance he was finna take a plea? I ain't know you been. I ain't know, but. At the end of the day, like, they be saying, like, a plea is just a bad thing. Yeah. A plea ain't always bad. You know what I'm saying? Like, a plea ain't just no. A plea don't mean you told. A plea ain't always fucked up. So, from my understanding. Just don't take no fucked up plea. But a plea can fucking fuck you up if, like, all right. So, usually people take pleas.
31:35If everybody in, like, you know what I'm saying, cahoots with the plea deal, right? Say you and your homie did some shit. and y 'all both agree to plea out. But it get a little tricky when somebody might take a plea that don't go align with what else you got going on. Right. So that's when the plea deal could get a little tricky, though, right? Right. So it was a situation where I guess a gunner took his plea deal and y 'all didn't know that he was going to take a plea. How much did you know before he took it? I ain't no shit. I got separated from it, but I was in South Florida. bit. This episode is brought to you by Facebook.
32:11So you were scrolling on Marketplace and there it was, the bike you'd been searching for. You sent a message and it turned out the seller was super chatty, kind of funny, and an avid cyclist. The next thing you know, you're in a cycling crew, well, a community cycling group. The thing about Facebook, you might find more than what you're looking for. From a browse to a bike ride, this summer, find more on Facebook. Hey Chicago, class it up with Crocs. You know back to school is coming in fast. So why wait to find your new fave footwear? Step into a local Crocs store and step into your new look.
32:52Try it. Style it. Make it yours. Because the right pair doesn't just show up, it shows off. First Day Fits handled walk out ready for whatever's next visit your nearest croc store today it's like when I found out it's like shit somebody made it out I ain't know I wouldn't ever make it out anymore I know I ain't need this shit I already did time for the shit y 'all charging me for but somebody made it out this shit it gave me motivation it was fueling my fire you know what I'm saying yeah I'm going to get out. You know what I'm saying? It might take me longer. And I already knew that. Like, my fight, like, my fight out would be hard.
33:37Because he wasn't the first person to take a plea from the trial. He just won. Yeah, nah, he won the first person to take a plea. He didn't get out. All right, so with that being said, when did you realize or see the video of his plea and realize that people were like, you know what I'm saying, was trying to throw the jacket on him because of the situation and how he took his plea and the things he said? Shit, like... I told you I seen him leaving. Yeah, you seen him driving off, but you wasn't in the courtroom necessarily. Nah, I wasn't in the courtroom. I don't even think I went to court that day.
34:11Yeah. So, like, it was just, like, shout it out. And then I had to find out everything out there. And then, like, at the end of the day, I'm a man. I ain't no yes, man. I'm a man. Yeah. So, like, shit.
34:30Damn dude He even know What's going on Like You know what I'm saying I think they offered him A plea right before Criminal Who the hell Don't want to go home Before criminal Bro I done made So many holidays I done made 10 years Before holiday Yeah Bro they trying to get home You know what I'm saying They trying to get home Twin Like that's the reality Of this shit like I'm trying to make it out You know what I'm saying Like You know what it be But the thing is, so everyone was upset with Gunna, and they was throwing the snitch jacket on him, is because during his plea deal, of course, he got the famous Yes Ma 'am, shit that everybody knows.
35:06But they were saying that, because even Kevin Liles was showing up to the courtroom, the whole thing was they were trying to say YSL is a gang versus YSL being a label. In his plea, he said, is YSL a gang? It must be stopped. And he said, yes, ma 'am. And they were saying that was hurting Thug's case, because Thug's sitting here saying, we're not a gang, we're just a music organization. so when you're you hearing that how do you like you know what I'm saying cause I'm not sure your lawyer's defense at that time probably was the same thing like hey we're not a gang you know what I'm saying we're just a music organization but he just took the plea deal and kinda said y 'all niggas was a gang yeah so how you got mixed emotions or in this shit you can't show no emotion you know what I'm saying you can't I don't know I'm twin you understand what I've been through This ain't my first rodeo, second or third.
35:56That ain't my fourth field rodeo. So it's like, little bro did what he had to do. You know what I'm saying? He did breadwinner for his people. So he had to do what he had to do. He felt like it was best for him. See, that nigga lawyer is some ems. He's talking about 200 ,000. You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? So he probably legally advised to do what the hell he had to do. You know what I'm saying? And that's how it be. your lawyer got your best interest in this person or that person. But I think like the general perception is that someone like you has been more in the streets, definitely more experienced dealing with the legal system and having to keep your mouth shut and everything like that.
36:43Did it strike you as if like Gunna was maybe kind of naive about what he was getting into with that? Did it strike you as the wrong way for him to have moved as, you know, a guy who's affiliated with the streets?
37:00Like, initially, like, for sure. I ain't going to be naive. Like, yeah. But at the same time, I ain't got that person on this show, and this show is just like, hey, shit. Somebody, like I said, just gave me more motivation to know, like, we good. this ain't no fed Rico, it's state Rico I haven't been fed so did it feel kind of small time in comparison in a way? because you'd already dealt with a federal case no, but it's a state Rico and it's like the biggest, craziest Rico ever maybe nah, not really ain't that small time in your life so I'm gonna put you down on that this shit real you know what I'm saying and it just felt like And she like Right
37:58It down like every man for this so I'm saying I don't know every man for this so but at the same time it's like We're never no game. Yeah, we're never no games when I gang is shit like I'm going to detail to cane But a gang, like, hey, we got an oath. We do this. We pay tax. We do this. Like, it wasn't ever no gang. We some niggas trying to make it out. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. We just trying to make it out. I mean, yeah, you could watch YouTube documentaries breaking down the exact gang affiliations of everybody involved. YSL is, like, a label. A crew. It's a real label. Yeah. Like, none of that's any from the same hood.
38:43But none of us ain't from the same, like, some of us from the same area, but, like, it's like, there was some shit. Like, we were real trying to make it out, and we made it out. You know what I'm saying? So at the end of the day, you're supposed to be proud of this shit. Like, be proud of us. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Like, it wasn't that. It wasn't that with it. It was always just, like, a group of guys trying to make it out. and we, in turn, found like a brotherhood. You know what I'm saying? We ain't sitting in no goddamn room. We finna make a game and goddamn we finna step on this. I ain't never did no shit like that.
39:27If you saw Gunnar right now, would it be all love? Most certainly. I ain't got no problem with nobody. I'm happy to be here. You know what I'm saying? Is it crazy seeing him seemingly doing pretty well with his career and everything? Seems like he kind of went in a different direction. Not, like, really talking about as much street type stuff. But it seems like he's doing super well for himself. But shit show, like, it ain't surprising. I don't expect nothing less. You know what I'm saying? Like, that's what I expect from Conor. What you thought about the, like, the bread and butter song that he dropped when he first got out?
40:02Because that song kind of was, like, addressing the whole situation. Like, he said a whole bunch of shit in there that people kind of, like, they didn't know how to take it.
40:14I heard a couple times But I ain't You feel me I'm just still Gonna adjust it But Shit Apparently that's how he felt All this with He's standing on like He ain't said no thing So You know The internet gonna take it How they take it He ain't just Put no I ain't I don't know Nobody don't know What the fuck He really talking about Yeah he was really talking about He was just trying to break it down Cause one thing he said He was like When you know your partner And you on business With a rat And now everybody trying to figure out who he was talking about. They had speculation on it. I don't know, but that line stood out when he recorded that song because everybody thought he was talking about Lil Baby and QCP situation or whatever the case it was.
40:53So when that song came out, did you initially feel like, because like, so how did you feel like he took the plea deal and you see how Thug is reacting to that and you don't have the same stance. Like you said, you see him, it's all good. Why you think Thug feeling different I don't know how Thug feel You know what I'm saying Like I don't know how Shouted feel Like You know what I'm saying Like nobody really know Who we were talking about Or who You know what I'm saying Like people just take shit How they want to take You know what I'm saying Like At the end of the day bro Like We all Thug Put all us on Yeah Even Baby And shout out to Baby Shout out Gunna Shout out Thug Like it's just like divide and conquer twin I don't know what's going on but I don't get caught up in this shit I'm my own man I don't I don't know what the hell going on I can't dissect or tell you what they think cause I'm not them isn't there a part of you that just wants to hop on the phone with the gunna and just figure out what's going on part of me but at the same time shit my god goddamn I don't got damn family feed I'm saying I gotta worry about it I don't Them niggas already been rich for five, ten years.
42:12I was locked up, shit. They'll figure it out. They're smart here. You know what I'm saying? They pretty balanced. They know what's going on.
42:26If I could, I would. But at the same time, I don't know nobody's stipulation. I'm not trying to get nobody fucked up. You know what I'm saying? As far as your stipulations, are you allowed to like, I know you might not be able to speak to Thug because I know Thug's not supposed to be talking to me, Mike. But that's his shit. Yeah, like do you have stipulations about how you can move, what you can do right now? You still getting piss tested or anything like that? I don't do no chores. I don't drink. But they don't piss test you? For sure. They do? Oh, okay. Yeah, they piss test me. Shout out my PO.
43:01What? Like, I don't, my freedom. it's priceless I'm saying my family my kid all this shit priceless you know what I'm saying so it ain't worth doing no drug or reaching out or doing this and that you know what I'm saying like nah for sure it's in my energy I know everybody good when you build some shit and you be with a person everyday for years straight I can feel you you know what I'm saying let me feel it I can feel you. I know what's in. Do you feel like all this was, you know, obviously nobody wants to have to deal with a crazy ass case, but were you maybe not living a healthy lifestyle drug wise around the time that you got picked up?
43:50Was it kind of like a weird opportunity to clean your, your body up and everything? No, definitely no health as well. I'm saying for sure health as well. But at the same time, like I was on probation. I was always on probation. Oh yeah. I always had to go get pissed. I always had to deal with some shit. Me, I ain't really been on drugs in a minute. I played sports. I always kept my body together. I ain't go through no withdrawal, no shit. I don't run out. My mama sent us and shit like that, who I'm hurting in turn. As far as that, who was really holding you down while you locked down doing this bit?
44:34I got a great support system, bro. I got a great support system. Great support system. Mom, pops. I got a stepmom. I got a bros. I got a bros. I'm down. If I ain't got nothing else, I got my bro. I got a bros. You feel me? I got a great support system. For sure. All right, so let's Unless you got Nah, I mean There's so many ways we can take it We got so many goddamn questions Yeah, I got a hell of a All right Fuck it, let's go Let's go here, though Let's do it, getting controversial All right, let's do it Thank you, Sadi Nash So, uh Yeah, that boy said it, man Shout out to the visionary himself Shout out to Sadi Nash He's on FaceTime That nigga is right there I don't know where that boy at But shout out to him Shout out, all right So look, so You locked up I think you said you was in the whole.
45:30And the interrogation video dropped of you from a long ass time ago. And you said a few things in there. And I think 1090 Jake made a video. You know what I'm saying? He was trying to say that you had snitched on Duke. And I think Wack was the one. Because Wack initially said he had a video on Gunner that was from the release. And then it ended up being you. So everybody was kind of throwing off. Because he had went to the internet saying he got a whole Gunner interrogation video. Then we see that video of you in the interrogation room. And you said some shit. about Duke. Where were you at when you found out all that got leaked?
46:05Were you shocked that that got leaked? And what was your mind state and mind frame when all that shit went down? I went for that and they like, if I was trying to hide something, I would have got it sealed. You know what I'm saying? I would have got a motherfucker sealed if I'm trying to hide something. But at the same time, like, where I was at? I was in Union City. They kicked me out of Rice Street. I got banned from Rice Street. So I couldn't go back there. Kicked me out of the whole jail Alright sir You're not at Wright Street At this time Nah Ain't nobody get kicked out of jail Yeah Boom It seemed to me I think I was in the hole I was in the hole for sure What you in the hole for?
46:46I got two of the office Like The house case with the office Or some shit like that Like He tried to goddamn Rough him up I don't know Yeah But goddamn I forgot that nigga name too But With him I find out And I said like Here there What it is You feel me like You don't know What Till this day What About Duke Like Duke know what the hell going on Like it might be It might be what's new to the real But Duke Know what the hell going on Yeah For sure Like So Duke wasn't thrown off When he seen that video at all What you thrown off for You ain't did another day for this shit I did all the time What the hell you thrown off for If anything They ask me my shit All type of shit I don't know nothing about Yeah So I'm just trying to get out of jail I ain't Goddamn Ever in my life Did Or nobody Never in their life Did a day for me I did all the time Nine years That's the crazy part Cause everybody like Cause we see the interrogation video, but we like, damn, that nigga, yeah, doing more time than everybody.
47:58Yeah, you know, yeah, can't do nothing wrong, you know, I ain't gonna hold him accountable. I hold myself accountable, you know, I'm pushing. But if the interrogation video did look crazy, because you was eating food, you know, have memes and shit, they be like, oh, that nigga was eating good up in there, and then the one thing you said, the one thing you said, that nigga was on you, you was like, uh, you was like, shit, if y 'all let me back out, I can go get some more information for y 'all, you know what I'm saying, however it goes. What was your mind state when you were saying that to them?
48:23I'm going to tell you, like you said, we're old, bro. I was 21, 22 years old. You know what I'm saying? So you got to go through certain shit to even have the knowledge. But when I got out of 2020, did I put on a goddamn wire? I mean, you know what I'm saying? I started in investigation that I started. They had me about four murders in interrogation. I don't got nothing to do with. You feel me Yeah I ain't how to say This or that and that You know what I'm saying But at the same time Like Ain't nobody right there Coaching me Or like Ain't nobody God damn You feel me And I know I gotta go back To Rice Street And eat a Fucking balonis out And comes there So I'm gonna eat The Tempe I don't know For which out I'm gonna smack Them motherfuckers And then go back And do my time What you got ordered What you telling them To get you I went right To McCannivill You see what I'm saying I went to McCannivill I got damn Lambert One of the motherfuckers Zone 3 shit And Like It went back now Like The same punk ass Me called me Five years of my life So it's like This ain't GTA twin It's my life Like I ain't Like I say If I wanted to hide So I would've got The shit still There's plenty of people Around them motherfuckers With their shit still Hey boy you can't You know what I'm saying You can get to it But you can't really get to it But I ain't Try to hide Nah So how did the jail react though?
49:49Because you know, everything here in the blogs and shit The jail? Somebody had to tell you because they found out So how were they reacting to jail? Some nigga pushed up, some nigga got beat I ain't 50 in no I just got in a 50 fight, tore in my hand, broke right now You see the bone? My shit broke right now, 50 fight I feel like fluid You said you want all of them off I can't lose Because you were already saying that people were like Basically trying to come at you because you're famous Because you're all up in the news and then all of a sudden it's viral like, yeah, I got it told or whatever.
50:21It just creates a scenario where anybody who wants to get a little bit of rep or a little bit of recognition could just try to do something to you and they're going to make headlines. Yeah, yeah, like. It's like something that if you know, you know, you feel me. Like, I can't. When I'm fighting for my life, I ain't trying to impress nobody on this and that. And everybody got an opinion like an asshole, but just keep that shit over there. You know what I'm saying? If you come to me with it, then I got to protect or defend myself. But keep that shit over there. People don't have what they got to say.
50:57That's all the time. But ain't nobody just going to impress me or oppress me or none of this shit. You feel me? Like I just told you, I was on the same floor. A lot of people don't come from no same floor, twin. A lot of people don't make it back. A lot of people don't. Nigga head get put in the toilet, nigga get stabbed, nigga. You know what I'm saying? Like, nigga get tied up. Like, shit real. So, because after the video went viral, I don't know how long, I don't know the timeline of it, but the rumors hit the internet that you got stabbed and you got stabbed up. So people was assuming it was from the videos that leaked online.
51:33Nah, hell nah. So just a whole different, complete. People just put it together. People just saying shit, bro. Hell nah, that was some old shit. And I still won that fight But Goddamn Some of that shit in the city Yeah How many times you got hit up? When? Oh you got stabbed once? Where was it at? In the dome Oh yeah Like right or somewhere In the dome What was the recovery process And all that like Like how long it took? I went to court in that day Ain't no recovery I was already recovered You hear me like Yeah Fast stitch Go to court What's that Did I want to go to court? Yeah I need to come home You know what I'm saying Yeah right a day before the liberation yeah do you have like an opportunity to go to like a PC part of the jail at a certain point like cause I'm assuming that they're you know the CO's are not oblivious to the fact that you're like way more well known than everybody else in here yeah you can go to PC if you want to I don't wanna go to PC even when you got these random thugs just trying to get a name off you it'll be alright I'm overly gonna be alright though Most certainly But maybe I There was never a thought That like they might Make you do it Because I feel like At a certain level They're just gonna make you Not do it You can't make me do Nothing That I don't wanna do You know what I'm saying Like that's your right You can sign a waiver And I don't wanna do that But It's like What I'm NPC for What I'm half for Like what I'm You know I ain't If Can't do it I can if I want to but that ain't what I want to do.
53:08Like, what the hell? What I'm going to PC for, Twin High? I don't know. I mean, at a certain point where you got people coming at you a certain way, it feels like it might be a lot of people go for it. Bro, this is my city. Atlanta, like, my city. Like, that's where I'm... I ain't born, but that's where I'm raised. Like... Yeah. What I finna go on PC for? Oh, y 'all know me. Like, yeah, by then, this motherfucker know me. Y 'all know the criteria. Y 'all know what's going on. What I'm going to go on PC for? and get out something else to talk about. It ain't about y 'all. My sanity. PC come out one time a day.
53:43No. Yeah, no. I can't do that. I got shit I got to handle. I got shit I got to do. I got people I still got to take care of. I can't get that accomplished and sell by myself. You know what I'm saying? That ain't what's going on with me. So during the trial, our God-wise that Woody became a huge star during the trial. Like, people thought he was like one of the star witnesses. Did you, did you know how popular him taking the stand and getting on the stand was? Because like, every day he was getting on the stand is on live stream. Every clip going viral. Like, you hearing like how viral was going at the time?
54:26Yeah, like, I wasn't hearing about it, but I'm seeing that shit in my life. I'm goddamn gotta go to court and see him. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? But, It's like, like, this Woody and him, like, that's him, you know what I'm saying? Like, it done out like, and shout out to Woody, you feel me? Like, shout out Sheldon, like, and like, it done out like, I ain't gonna say Miss Lee, Yeah, but... Man, shout out to his mama and his dad in the early age. So he just been in the street thinking. Where did y 'all relationships stand from? When did he start coming around? Did you even start getting, like, hanging out with Woody anyway?
55:12I didn't know him. I was like 10 or something like that. I didn't want to know him with Woody for a minute. Yeah. I'm saying, like... We got cooled through my cuts, and then got down. He tried to rob the dice game in your neighborhood, right? On my mama. Not even raw. Oh, he just tried to bogey up the motherfucker, and I went gone. You stepped to him, and you got some level of respect from the way you both handled it? More definitely. Some shit like that. It's just crazy to imagine, like, you know this dude. Anybody who's been around him knows he's a crazy personality, like, completely one-of-a-kind, insane human being.
55:46And you know about him as just, like, a wild-ass dude in the streets or whatever. And then all of a sudden, you're in court fighting for your life. the least funny shit on earth and you gotta sit there and see him just putting on the wildest performance in the history of a courtroom and everybody at home is watching it just dumbfounded and you're there too but you're dealing with the craziest shit that anybody could ever have to deal with it must have just been a surreal experience cause I've never seen anybody do anything even close to what he did when he was going up there mmm that bit retarded bro That's him twin That's him He ain't faze or nothing That's him That's him He gonna be the same Every time he see him That's him But like Then I like Bro what's going on And then shit Now I'm be free.
56:44So what? Like, what can I say? Like, I don't know. Like, what would it be? I mean, shit. Some people, he get backlash, though, because I guess he got some of the early interrogation videos. So people be saying, like, he doing that jam, dog. Y 'all niggas up in the first place. How you feel about people saying that on the internet and shit? Bro. It come upon life where, like, motherfucker, I take accountability. And that ain't one person. You see what I'm saying? Yeah. Ain't one person. Everybody. I take accountability. Like, whatever, him, him. And we pay this shit. And everybody doing good. And everybody free.
57:21So it's like, I don't even dwell on that type of shit. I'm just looking for what's in front of me. You know what I'm saying? But you can't just put all this shit on home. You know what I'm saying? You can't put no shadow like that. Like, it just, you know what I'm saying? Like, it's...
58:09to a bike ride. This summer, find more on Facebook.
58:39is next. Visit your nearest croc store today. It's for real, all this shit really be beneath a nigga. Like, this shit really divide and conquer, but at the same time, I ain't gonna get too far in deep depth. But we free. What's going on? You know what I'm saying? What happened? What really happened? You know what I'm saying? Yeah, it took three years to be free, but we here now. Let's get it. You know what I'm saying? We having something to do. I'm having something to do. Them boys doing what they doing You know what I'm saying You ran into him yet? He be all over the A I ain't just like ran to him But I seen him broke down and shit like that On the side of the road On the side of the road You know Bentley right?
59:22Yeah Bentley Ben Tate When that bitch broke down I don't know he ran out of gas Or something wrong with the car I even pulled over Everybody ain't got that car I'm like You good? Yeah I'm good look at the hell. How you been? Shalai. man. I'm not a separate way. I mean, it's very weird to know somebody and then have that person become famous. Like, this is just a very strange experience to see everybody just, he's a normal person too. And then all of a sudden everybody's just geeking out about him. But for him to get famous in the weirdest way possible. And I've seen in the real life, I've seen straight up like nine year old girls freaking out, screaming in the bowling alley, running up on Woody.
1:00:05and it's just the craziest shit ever. Like, has that just been kind of surreal to see him become a celebrity? He's like doing all these 20 versus ones. He's got all these videos with millions of views and you knew him when he wasn't shit. Like, what was that like? No, it ain't surreal. Okay. Before we made it out of London, that was him. I'd say, that's him. Before the real news, she was doing the same shit. Like, you know what I'm saying? It probably wasn't this enhanced, but she's been, famous in them. Everybody famous in them. You know what I'm saying? I see the upgrade. You've been in them.
1:00:45But are you surprised that he's been able to move around the way that he has because we're used to people snitching and then having their community kind of excommunicate them to a certain extent. But with him, it feels like that's all out the window. I ain't surprised. Yeah. Thanks. That's him. Like, Charlotte gonna give you that every time you see him. You know what I'm saying? Like, that's him. Yeah. Shout out Woody, man. Real stand up, dude. Shout out Woody. Shout out Cell Made, man. Shout out that boy. You from Mechanosville, too? Me? Yeah. No, I'm from Carl Vaughn. Joyland Carl Vaughn. How far?
1:01:23So when you start rotating on Cleveland anyway? They took Carl Vaughn down. I was a baby, man. probably five, six, two, my hood down. Woodley. Got kicked out of the school. Got to play sports in the county there. I'm just Project Rape. I've been all over. Fort Ward. Got to fill her. Don't let her know. I'm just, I'm like Eastside. You know what I'm saying? Belved up playoffs. I'm just all through that shit. And I'm from Miami, so I'm just everywhere. I'm everywhere with it. Okay Alright So while you was In Wright Street Uh Did you ever bump Into Luchi While you was in there Yeah yeah I ran to him I ran to him What was the conversation And shit like Between y 'all I pushed up But it wasn't no like You feel it Not no Gangster shit Cause it wasn't Never no beef Ain't no smoke You feel it Shout out Shout out It was a little bit of beef Like nigga the famous Cause even the picture Got you Was you standing On the nigga whip At Lenny I think they use that shit in the trial, but I smoke every smoke and I'm at you I ain't stand on your car like when we were in Atlanta People pointed out to us like that's where Lucci's car was when yeah, I got he stood on it Like this is like a historic landmark And it was trippy to see it in real life and just picture how crazy that must have looked with some dude standing on a car Like That damn I say man Home home too Doing good You feel me Like his hood Is right behind my hood Some of his right Yeah I grew up in some of here I stayed in some of here Like Hey good and shit 1044 You know what I'm saying Like Know this shit vividly But it wasn't Never know Like I say If I'm at you I'm not standing on your car Yeah So that was just like Me caught up in my mom or doing whatever I'm doing.
1:03:24You know what I'm saying? Like, that shit ain't really one ever batting that. You know what I'm saying? So when you said you pushed up on him, you had a conversation or was it like a little altercation, scuffle type shit? I went on altercation or nothing that shit. Like, goddamn, I think I got maced or something and they took me to medical. And then I, you know, seeing him, I thought he was in medical. So we had, like, seen each other in place. You good? Yeah. You good? Yeah. You know what I'm saying? What's up? You got free your game, twin, kick your head for shit like that. Like, you know, You feel me at this point, like, all of them just doing good and all is locked up.
1:03:58Yeah. So you kind of understand, like, hey, bro. This shit ain't worth it. None of this shit ain't worth it. And it wasn't even there with nothing. So it's overly not worth it when it wasn't. You know what I'm saying? Like. I mean, when Baby brought Lucia out the other day, a lot of people just had no idea what to think. but it felt like a sort of a slight sign being shown that people in Atlanta were ready to have some unity and to be past that situation. Yeah, but I don't know what's going on with all this shit. I don't know if I'm just focused on him. But when you see that, I mean, Lil Baby's not an idiot.
1:04:39He knows what the – he's going to think about him being affiliated with him. I just I don't think there's any way that he does it without knowing that he's got the blessings to do something like that I don't know. I ain't talking to anything something out. So I don't know like it's like Like they're doing what I got to do or doing was I'm saying and in the day no bad shit Atlanta as a whole like we got to find some solution and get this shit back together For which LL we had this shit on smash Now this shit kinda like You know what I'm saying Every other city or water down You know what I'm saying Every other city got a baton But I'm out for the peace I'm out for the unity I ain't fucked up at it So you feel like the treatment of Gunner is unfair?
1:05:32You know You see how everybody switched up on them? Yeah man Shout out to the AlphaPlee You seen the trial You done seen niggas who was really snitching About certain situations Or had certain shit to say So when you hear what Gunna said You know what I'm saying You definitely feel like it was like He said what he said but it was like damn Cause like even Lil Baby He talking about Lil Baby and Gunna don't rock out no more Even I mean that's what it look like on the internet We don't really know that I mean bro you can see from the post and shit. You were locked up. We were watching the unfollows in real time.
1:06:15The blogs are saying so-and-so just unfollowed Gunna. We were watching this happen. Like, him too. And then you got Doug co-signing it. Like, whatever Wham says, go. The billboards and shit. So I was like, it seemed like the divide came and Gunna just got exiled out of that shit just from that one little that pleat. So, you know. I don't know. I don't know I ain't talking I can't speak You feel me But as a whole Have you seen Gonna do really Any music With anybody else Do you think That's a situation Because He dropped Two albums Since he been out And I believe Only the one feature Was an offset feature And usually Atlanta Is like stacked With songs From everybody in Atlanta So That's where the fans Like well It seems like People ain't really Rocking with Gunna But musically His music Right now If you look on Spotify Gunner is out streaming Your thug right now Currently But he don't have the The backing of Atlanta It seems Shit We're real big In Atlanta You feel We from Atlanta So this This like Home base This backyard Shit like And it's just like It's all shit like
1:07:29It's all Everybody Got them You feel So they would Just enhance it Where like Even if niggas was talking on even if niggas was doing they doing it's like that I don't hear about it but I don't feel like them boys got no real smoke or pressure with it you know what I'm saying like them niggas made history too yeah I'm saying I mean came in this shit together so a lot of shit don't be nothing but a conversation but I don't know you feel whatever they saying shit it's like that was it I feel like well yes they go yeah but like absolutely everybody like ain't no you feel like but Gunnar just coded out the YSL tattoo that made the blog so everybody feel like he kinda like closed that chapter man Gunnar probably got YSL three four times you feel like I don't know what the hell I don't know if you gotta talk to him I don't know like I'm saying like it's then I like He probably doing whatever He gotta do I don't know Let me ask you this Would you do a song with him right now?
1:08:36I do a song with Gunna? Mm-hmm Gunna like Come on let's hop on a new album Yeah Why not? Like At the end We still on the same label Yeah Oh so Gunna still part of YSL? Cause we seen Thug just dropped the The song Money on Money With Future And it look like I don't know Like the imagery Like he burned the YSL Man Gunna is still on the label bro He still a part of YSL This shit Yeah You seen Thug Throughout business It's business This shit business bro Yeah So when you learn To understand business It's like You know what I'm saying How did you feel When Thug was in court And you heard Brian Steele Asked for Thug To still be able To have communication With Sergio Kitchens Which is gonna And not necessarily Everybody else That's on the label Yo lawyer Got your big interest So they gonna see What they gotta see For you So I ain't got Nothing to do with it And shout out Brian Steele Like, I don't have to, like, it's just like, that's what's going on.
1:09:33Like, if this was going on, this was going on. You know what I'm saying? Like, like I say, you don't wear your heart on your sleeve. You don't show no emotion. That's what that shit is. Like, that's what it is. You feel me? Like, me, personally, I hold them boy like a rehash, and goddamn, I know what they do in their studio. You know what I'm saying? Classics. What? You know what I'm saying? Like, if not, shit, that's on them. What was the craziest studio session you've been in around them boys? I know you was there to see them cook up some crazy shit. Bro, every night was a hit. And it's crazy because we didn't get to put a lot of that shit out.
1:10:11Or they didn't get to put a lot of that shit out. But we live in the studio. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Every night was hits on hits. You know what I'm saying? Everybody bringing different energy. but like I remember there was a YSL house out here that I went to with Desto Dub shout out Desto Dub uh and it was like you know Duke all these different YSL people like if you really knew who's who's part of the crew it was like star-studded lineup Thug wasn't there at the moment but it's like they had a studio or two set up everybody around just smoking hanging out recording and I was just thinking about that when I was like reflecting on that memory like I wonder if that'll ever be the vibes again because it feels like I mean I don't know exactly how Thug is living right now but it feels like he's just kind of in his own world and that that big label family is kind of a thing of the past at the moment oh shit like I remember that house that would do a spot oh it was his spot that would do a spot but shit like I don't know I feel like it still be that That's our lifestyle That's nigga lifestyle So Even if everybody ain't together Shit That's just how people That's how we live You know what I'm saying Like thought made a way to For us to understand Like Life is bigger than Where we from in the trenches So then I'm like Like Shit I just had one of them Poor's the last night You know what I'm saying Like this is lifestyle Studios got down You know what I'm saying People running around laughing.
1:11:52They're just lifestyle, bro. I don't know. It's God playing twin. God knows everything. I already ran. You know what I'm saying? We're like, yeah, yeah. Shit, man. People on probation type of shit. So people doing what they got to do for them. You know what I'm saying? People got kids, family. When you look back on that, it must feel just like simpler times when everybody else, everybody's shit was just a lot. a lot easier. Obviously, everybody had legal issues all along and everything, but... Shit would lit, but ain't that... Yeah. Compared to, like, now, it just feels like that would have been a different vibe.
1:12:32There probably would have to be security outside. Nah, this shit's still lit. I don't know. It might just be a little different now. This shit's still lit. This shit's still lit. Everything lit. I love when it's hot. This shit's still lit. Everybody lit, twin. You know what I'm saying? Like, some of this shit down there'd be a bliss in the sky. Cause you can focus on you And what you got in front of you Cause like Man You got any regrets? Um Yeah I know But yeah too Cause as you Grow And get older You realize like I ain't even have to do that Or I ain't even have to go that route You know what I'm saying?
1:13:16Yeah But at the same time Like Shit, y 'all don't live once, come on But It be like, you know But yeah, here, like What I recruit
1:13:33I ain't taking life as serious You know what I'm saying I ain't taking shit as serious as Cause I ain't knew How big that label was, bro I ain't know Like how much influence y 'all I didn't know Cause you in it It's me It's us Like it's You see what I'm saying Like I ain't know And I did all this time And then I get out 2020's Corona So Shit don't pause Like cattle were closed And we had this house And we were like Everywhere was closed But Just like Taking shit more serious Like And That's my vow now Like Take this shit serious And give myself a shot You was locked up with Burman, brother? You know Terrence Gangsta Williams?
1:14:20Yeah, I know Gangsta. You said he was locked up with you. Yeah, I was locked up with Gangsta. Where y 'all was locked up at? In the feds. It was in Florida, Mariana. My first field of institution. Yeah. Yeah. Did you feel like he was throwing shade at you? Did you see that clip I'm talking about you? What Gangsta? Gangsta, yeah. What he said? It was on Vlad, and he basically, like, when, I think Vlad brought up the fact that you were in prison with him and he said yeah you know it's kind of funny that when Yak was locked up with me he just kept talking about how much he hates rats man I ain't said shit to Gangsta but he said that you were just on repeat just saying man these rats is everywhere I hate these rats my combo with Gangsta probably one or two of the only combo we had with some shit like hey man your brother help nigga make it out goddamn you know what I'm saying one hand white shoulder you need me you know what I'm saying I'm here for you but that pretty much it gangsta with an e-man on the pound and shit like that but I ain't I don't even recall saying no shit like that to gangsta with it it is what it is like he just got out from the light center he doing what he doing do you feel like thugs sold themselves short about taking the plea Like could you see how you beat it Cause now he got the 15 year probation And shit He did what he had to do for him Yeah So I don't feel like he sold his stuff short Like he did You know He got out of jail You know what I'm saying He already done Created opportunities for so many people And You know what I'm saying Like, they got him to wait out here and call or whatever.
1:16:13Like, that's what he had to do for him. Like, you want to sell yourself short of this and that. You know what I'm saying? Was you in the courtroom the same day that Thug was able to leave? Was you in the court that day? I was in it, yeah. Tell me the feeling, like, the energy in the room that day. Because I was big on the block. So, like, you being in the courtroom, what was the energy like? Right.
1:16:36That I'm like. how you explain this shit like like like I said like it give you motivation you know what I'm saying like okay I'm gonna come on just waste your time you know what I'm saying like everybody but that's the biggest one that like you really felt like oh shit this shit motherfucker's gonna beat this I'm on the way yeah you know what I'm saying like shit everybody getting out it just take time I ain't gonna let everybody out together so after he had got out How long did you stay in there? You was in there for like three more months or what was it? Three, four more months or shit like that.
1:17:13Yeah. And what took you had to keep fighting, right? Had to keep fighting. Because then you got offered a plea? Yeah. My plea was crazy. Yeah. What was I trying to offer you?
1:17:27Some 40s and 50s. Yeah. So you didn't even think about it? Hell nah. You never even got close to a deal that you were thinking about? Hell nah. 10 to testify. 50 dofold is some all type of stupid ass shit. That's not what. That's some unadvanceable shit. So walk us through the day that you was found not guilty. All right. I get stabbed the day before. Wait a minute, go to court.
1:18:02Walking that motherfucker, me and Shannon. We say the prayer.
1:18:11Recite some scriptures. When that motherfucker can beat it. Michael Jackson, but at the same time, I ain't just saying like this smile thing. It was emotional. I was like, damn this shit over. I thought I was going to go home that day to hit me with some motion. Yeah, you wasn't able to go home. Yeah, so what was that situation? Man. So you beat the murder charge and they added something else where you had to sit a little longer, right? For fighting in there, right? Yeah, fighting and countrymen and shit like that. Oh, is it from when your mom brought you the clothes that had the woods in it or whatever it was?
1:18:47Nah, hell nah. And my mom beat that child, but child got down. Pull her out on the news and just like, it shit be crazy, bro. It shit be crazy. Yeah, for anybody who doesn't know, like basically his mom gave him some clothes and it had like some weed and some tobacco or something in it. It wasn't even weed, it was just tobacco? It wasn't weed, it was like some motherfucking like, okay. The clothes she packing is in storage because I lost everything. A year, two, three years, just like, ah, fuck all this shit. I gotta prioritize. So, fuck around. Some kind of way, like, it was some tobacco or some shit in the pants that she was bringing from the storage.
1:19:40And then got down. Shit, OG got booked. I mean, anybody that smokes blunts, cigarettes, whatever, there's a pretty good chance that if you were to just grab a bunch of random jackets or hoodies or something, that you would have some shit in there. There's something in there. Yeah. You feel me? But, like, it's my mom. She ain't just, ooh. It's just like, mom, bring me some clothes for court. My mama doing that, you know what I'm saying? She just brought me some shit for court. Where they tried to make it a scene, you know what I'm saying? It's just like a real mistake. What was that process like every day, going to court?
1:20:18I guess your mom or family members was giving y 'all clothes and outfits every single day, like before the trial? No, we would bring clothes every Monday or some shit like that. for the week. For the whole week. Yeah. So, you'll have your little line up and set up and shit like that. Okay. Look at the hell Watt was talking about, twin. Oh, there you go. Yeah, Watt got a whole rollout involving you. Watt crazy is him, man. He hyped for the people who don't remember. I'm so Watt, though, Watt is crazy is him. He, when the interrogation footage or whatever dropped, he hyped it up that he had footage of Gunna telling and then 24 hours later, everybody finds out is not gonna at all behead everybody's attention and then the video you dropped shut up that boy 100 man that motherfucker crazy cause wait you spent time around him before right how do you know him from before some shit like 2015 you know what I'm saying can't that long ain't got there it was just like a little situation but got there you like that motherfucker got hard twin for you to come to another motherfucker city yeah oh you talking about the situation he always talks about in the mall in Atlanta or some shit yeah some shit like that So you were involved with that?
1:21:30I wasn't involved, but I was there. You know what I'm saying? Linux used to be a hangout spot. You know, Linux every day. Yeah. And go get, no matter what, a T-shirt, whatever. And what was this? It was like a peace treaty type thing between thug and game? Yeah. And you were there? And Wack just initiated this and everybody came together and sort of settled shit? I don't say he just initiated, but he was like, you know, it take two or more than two. You know what I'm saying? for grown men to get on the same accord and just like, look, bro, we bigger than that. Right. We better than that. You know what I'm saying?
1:22:04Wack loves to do that. He loves to be the dude who's helping motherfuckers get over their issues. So definitely sounds like something he would do, but definitely like being able to initiate that kind of thing in somebody else's city, I mean, that's a big undertaking. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, like. He connecting to be plugged with a lot of people. Yeah, and that's, down on how you find out who really in it and who not or who really faking and who not so it's like multiple of the same resources reached out to each other and in turn it was down a lot it was a respect there after the situation it ended up being respect you feel me so it like that was the deal you know what I'm saying shot the boy 100 I respect nigga hustle you feel me but you ain't feel no type of way when you seen his Vlad interviews and shit where I ain't seen no Vlad interview but I heard about it but at the same time I ain't fucked up I don't even say As long as you keep it over there And then You don't come over here And disrespect me Well I feel threatened You can say what the hell You want to say You feel me This is the internet Brother This is You see what I'm saying This is like My life for real This ain't My life ain't the internet You know what I'm saying I'm an artist So I know what's going on With just like My life You know So how how small is like how small is like our area cause Summerhill and Cleveland how far is that from each other 10 minutes 10 minutes those all y 'all all frequent the same stores and all that pretty much nah but my hood and Summerhill frequent the same stores so like you got Claude Chevron yeah I was gonna shout out Corbett shout out Jolene Forward like that's the famous Chevron too right that everybody yeah that's the way I call Claude Chevron yeah My uncle used to have a restaurant in the same little playoffs as him.
1:24:01I been gone. They done built out type of shit now. It ain't there. Nice there though. No, the Chevron's still there, but a lot of the stories that they have. Yeah, my uncle shit ain't there no more. He sold it. But shout out to my uncle P. We got down. Fuck around. It's like everybody grew up together. You got to see each other. Whether it's the club, you know what I'm saying, the station, the goddamn. You know what I'm saying? And one thing about it, I'm outside. So you don't have to see me. You got to see me. You don't bump into me. I'm outside. Ever since I been home. I'm outside. I ain't just in the house.
1:24:39And I do be in the house. I ain't saying I'm outside for no reason. But let me feel it. I got to be the one to feel it. You know what I'm saying? What was your relationship like with Birdman and everybody? because, like, you know, the whole Rich Gang area, I was all hanging around a lot. Oh, definitely. Stunning. Stunning is stunning. Stunning the biggest. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? I respect all the moguls and this shit. Like, they don't get no big than stunning. Stunning the biggest, like, you know what I'm saying? And if I'm a shouter, come from New Orleans and go through his shit, then shit align.
1:25:17You know what I'm saying? I end up me and brother, then I end up running to BG and the feds. And then like Shit lying That BG home Doing his shit Oh you ran into BG And the Feds too More definitely Where I ran into Feds I ran into Hedback Yeah Transit or whatever I ran into Hedback Yeah For sure What can you tell us About Brick Baby Back in the day Boy Brick man Shot Free Citro Man Brick like Brick And he On the way Influenced a lot of shit In that line Right Like G shit Like he influenced a lot of shit and I'm like we want every reason to be different and Shalda came around from a whole nother culture and then you know what I'm saying and he was just unapologetically him you know what I'm saying he don't care little nigga though he don't give a fuck like so how you getting to mix with y 'all though cause Pee Wee yeah Long Free Longway you knew Longway before Free the Blue Eminem like has Longway been locked up ever since he got picked up like what was that six months.
1:26:20Yeah, long, I've been lost since I've been gone. I mean, since I've been home. Since I've been gone. And that was crazy because we went to Atlanta to film that concert with Woody and fucking Brick went linked up with Pee-wee for a little bit. Pee-wee gets sent, ends up getting arrested like two days later. Some shit like that. I think I seen all that on YouTube, TV, in jail. Bad luck. And niggas, no connection. on Brick, and you know how that shit go. Obviously, everybody's going to be like, oh, Brick got on. That would be the thing. Be like, you don't ever know we real man isn't it just like AI like all this shit like you feel me but I mean what they got long way for or whatever the investigation he was part of was like the kind of thing that they had been spending like years putting together and then break goes there for like you know a couple hours and people were acting like he's the reason why I don't even know like I just know like free the boy long way and like shouted a pioneer this shit too and I don't feel like he got it flat so free the boy long way like you know what I'm saying every time I can't I think Nah I wasn't out here I wasn't out here I was in Austin But Like Longway helped A lot of this shit Like He had an outlet for Everyone A studio You know what I'm saying When Motherfuckin' couldn't afford Studio time So it like Like Free home Like shout out to home Like he He actually helped this shit Cause he the one that put Doug with Gucci right?
1:27:40See I Was you a round father? I wasn't a round father I had my own little motion going on back then and then you know what I'm saying so at that time you rapping doing other shit or you just sports and shit so when they doing the whole I was doing other type shit I was rapping too you know what I'm saying I had nothing just got out of deal with block entertainment rubber game type shit I had nothing just got out of deal with some of the RCA so then when you started coming around and started rapping with YSL I thought like 13, 14 shit like that you know what I'm saying but I'm seeing they movement while I'm doing my shit.
1:28:16You know what I'm saying? And my group just broke up. the group I was a part of just broke up. Went through their differences. And then got down. We do this shit. You know what I'm saying? And I'm seeing him. I'm doing my shit. And then I'm seeing him out of town. Those are real niggas. So, he like, hey, bro, get with me. I got a situation for you. Whatever, whatever. It was just like some real shit. like, all right, cool. If I'm just seeing him continually, it gotta be like distant or the universe. You know what I'm saying? So, in turn, I got to him like. This episode is brought to you by Facebook.
1:28:59So, you were scrolling on Marketplace and there it was. The bike you'd been searching for. You sent a message and it turned out the seller was super chatty, kind of funny, and an avid cyclist. The next thing you know, you're in a cycling crew. Well, a community cycling group.
1:29:41Try it. Style it. Make it yours. Because the right pair doesn't just show up. It shows off. First day fits handled. Walk out ready for whatever's next. Visit your nearest Croc store today. End up signing. And then I think, like, somebody will try to sign me before we drop Dream. And then I fuck around and, like, I'm gonna do it with bro. You know what I'm saying? Like, I'm going to support him. I'm going to do it with somebody from where I'm from, you know? Yeah. Yeah. So, do you feel, so, because, like, at one point, y 'all had the whole rich gang movement going heavy, you know what I'm saying?
1:30:25And this one, even Soulja Boy is Birdman, is Thug. Then you got Rich Homie Quan. And then all of a sudden, you know, I guess Thug and Rich Homie Quan started parting ways and stuff. People say that They started You know what I'm saying Splitting up Because of the whole YFN Think it's a game Shit Were you still friends With Rich Homie Kwon During this time Or what was your Relationship with Rich Homie Anyway I don't live Kwon Like I don't live Kwon Kwon Kwon Like Kwon You know But Shit like I was around And Shit with efforts man Like Them were the Originally YNs Who running around the motherfucker trim.
1:31:08Thug corn. But that way it was different. Like, different to me. Tour. Like, that way showed the whole Atlanta. So I can never shit on with this shit. Like, you know what I'm saying? But, man, that shit lit, bro. Like, everything cool. I don't know how, whatever, like, with, like, the insides or whatever, whatever. Like, I came around strictly for the business. You know what I'm saying? to add to this shit, you know? Yeah. And make sure this shit go. That's what I came around for. I ain't come around like, or like, on the type of town they thinking of, which, you know what I'm saying, what I was accused of.
1:31:49You feel me? And then came around, actually, because we seen home come from, you know, to my thug, come from this shit. And then Quan had his own shit going on. And then they came together and Bird kind of helped get two people who actually from like the same part of the city together. Yeah. I'm saying that. Like we a whole outsider came. Let's do it. You know what I'm saying? Man. Yeah. Yeah. Totally like separate part of your life. But this is a question I was wondering is when I'm watching the interview with your lawyer on Vlad, do you have a conversation with him beforehand about what you're cool with him saying because there was one moment that i was a little surprised by where he's talking about how not guilty you are and how you definitely did not murder nut and he's breaking down where you were at what you were doing etc and it's it's pretty convincing but then he's also saying woody was in this location when this was happening.
1:33:00Woody was doing this. He's basically saying, and he pretty much does say, Woody did it. Yak didn't do it. But I know that if I were to ask you right now who killed Nutt, there's no way you're giving me a straight answer. You're going to say, I don't know. That's just the code. Is that kind of weird to have your lawyer doing interviews where he's saying things that I don't think you would say? Like, Doerr can't do no wrong. You know what I'm saying? Doerr's a lawyer. He know whatever he's doing I don't know You know what I'm saying But at the same time I don't know who the fuck killed it I know I didn't kill it You feel me I know I didn't Yeah So it's just like Like But Speaking on dog Like dog can't do no wrong You know what I'm saying Like Was you ever around Nut though Cause there was a video of Birdman, Nut And everybody on the yacht So you was around for that era, too?
1:33:59Like, was you there? I wasn't there, like, right then, but, like, we from Alabama. So, like, nigga know Nut. You feel him? Shout out Nut. You feel him? It was him and. When I say Fort Ward, Nut from Fort Ward. You know what I'm saying? How far is Fort Ward from where some hell and where you from? Probably about 15, 20 minutes. Like, back street nigga had, like, probably, like, eight minutes. Yeah. You know what you're doing. But, like, shit, like, it's a city. Yeah. Shadow was a one-on-one from the city. Like, it's a city. You know what I'm saying? Like, there's what's going on. You sure have me.
1:34:39What about Shel Kell? Was you friends with him at one point? Not here, no. I ain't never been friends with Kell. Yeah. But I know him. I seen Kell in the right street. Oh, so you had ran into him? Because he out, too. I think he did an interview recently. For real? Yeah. Yeah, I ain't seen. I don't know. but I seen Cal in the right street. I know Cal. Niggas run around insane, you feel me? But like friends or just like hang with Cal, I ain't never home with Cal. Yeah, I was never really friends. I ain't, like when. Was you there when, because they say that Duke got punched in the face by Shel Keller at Magic City?
1:35:17Was you at Magic City that day? No, yeah. Oh, you wasn't? All right, so that. That's the night I got locked up, though. That's the night I did fire for. That's the night. That's the same night? I did five for October 1st. I'll never forget it. But I want some shit like...
1:35:37Like... Deadwise are appealing to me until I fall out of bullshit because Duke ain't never did a date for me. You feel me? I took the shit. I went to the field. Duke got right out. I didn't do a date. So how did I ever tell him Duke? You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Yeah, well, that's a night, but I want that magic, though. No nigga punching on me, but I want it. Yeah. All right. How often would it be, though, niggas running to each other in the clubs and shit in Atlanta? Because Atlanta only so big. Every night. Yeah. Every night. We're going to club hop. We're going to go everywhere we want to go.
1:36:15And just niggas running to each other and, yeah, small shit. Man, nigga ain't trying to go to jail, bro. Yeah. Niggas and all that cap shit Why? Nigga ain't trying to go to jail to him Nigga ain't trying to go to jail This shit can happen to anybody Like anybody Nobody's not immune This shit can happen So you guys are seeing people That you think of as ops And nothing's happening Just cause It's too public It's too Easy to get caught up Everyone be like ops It be differences Op is a motherfucker Like I'm trying to kill That you trying to kill I ain't trying to kill nobody That you trying to kill What?
1:36:52how you feel about people getting mad at Thug for well I don't know if they mad at Thug but on the internet is basically saying that his brother Unfunk took the same plea deal that Gunnar did and I think they're not they're saying like how can Thug still be cool with his brother if him and Gunnar took the same plea deal man the internet say anything internet Trump how do you feel about that though if they took the same plea deal then shouldn't niggas be pulling the same boat I don't feel Like, you feel me? I don't feel that. All these niggas, my brothers. All these niggas, like, on my label. Yeah.
1:37:28You feel me? Like, free on phone. Like, it just down there. Like, you feel me? It's my mama's son. Man, what did y 'all talking about? Man, I don't feel like, what is y 'all talking about? Like, what is y 'all talking about? Like, what's going on? And I don't even know he feels some type of way about the other person. Yeah. But y 'all tell me to feel a certain type of way and keep a certain type of energy with my mama's son. But we came out, he's here. Yeah. Yeah, all right. Airport, like, what's y 'all talking about? But the internet just making a narrative that they want to be made. Like, nobody have never heard Thor say anything.
1:38:06You know what I'm saying? He play into it a little bit, though. I don't know. I'm just saying from the internet perspective, like, he's giving us or he's giving the fans what they want. Like he's saying it Without saying it in a way Thor is Thor Twin Thor I just told you They either Original Who Even made it Like Talked to real The blueprint And we ain't even Understand this shit But Whatever he do Like He know what the hell He doing What's your relationship With Duke now Y 'all ever get to Chop it up Y 'all allowed to talk Or anything I don't know I don't know Like I don't know We allowed to talk And shit We ain't talk Though But Duke my big brother You know what I'm saying Shout out Duke Nigga free twin Like nigga free Like Shout out Duke Like whatever him So if you drop music now You dropping it on YSL still?
1:39:00I'm dropping it on Pure Faith So that's the new But it like You know You feel me It's still my life But I'm dropping it on Pure Faith Yeah For sure Did you see the new YSL logo? Yeah I seen it How you feel about it? You know Mojo trim Mojo trim What's it look like? I didn't see it Oh, it's hard to even explain You just have to like Google it Let me show you the Mojo trim No Did you get it instantly? Like what it meant? Cause I was confused a little bit Like it I don't Is this like splat thing? Yeah Let me see Got a Mojo trim I ain't get it Yeah, I ain't like And then I think I seen the breakdown Yeah, it's like a Y and S and an L, I guess.
1:39:47But it barely looks like a Y and S or an L. Yeah, he ain't put it up. You don't know what that motherfucker says. I ain't gonna lie. Like, in that, this shit, that's where I just learned. Like, bro, that is crazy. He ain't put a motherfucker up. You don't know what that motherfucker means. You really don't know. Because even his album, the new album that he got coming out, I don't even know, UY Scuddy. I think it's like the, I think it means like the largest, brightest star or something. What do you think You know what I'm saying What do you What do you expect For the album For Thug album Just knowing him You just know how he coming He old as Trim Yeah I know he walking Yeah King walk He walking You know what I'm saying Like One thing I did We didn't talk about this though But one thing I did want to ask How did you feel When Judge Glenville Was removed from the case Did it give y 'all like More hope like Oh shit We probably gonna get out Cause it seemed like He was tripping on y 'all extra hard.
1:40:44I don't know. You feel me? That was some political shit. I don't know. You feel me? You feel like he was overly doing it and being too extra on y 'all? Because that's what the internet consensus was. They were saying he just wanted to find y 'all guilty on no matter what it was. It seemed like the white lady, Judge Whitaker, it seemed like she was more understanding and like giving y 'all more of a fair shot versus like... She was kind of fanned out. I don't want to say she fanned out. Shout out Judd Whitaker and the jurors. I'm going to believe that. I would appreciate her. That was about the jurors.
1:41:23You feel me? The jurors. We went to a juror trial. So what you got cooking up musically and stuff? I know you dropped the first one out. Fair mine out. in my first one out. We're not 30 days. Probably about 30 some days. Yeah. I'm just pushing my eye. I'm having all type of shit. Like, man, I did. 50 plus on. At that point, we got a movie coming out. First one out, movie, and the singer just dropped. Yeah. How are you going about doing a movie? You got someone investing in it? Are you shooting it just with people you know filming it? Or what's the big idea? People I know filming it. I'm filming myself every day.
1:42:04You feel me? Oh, so it's going to be more like a documentary about your life? I learned a game from you. I learned a game from y 'all. Why do you say that? Because, like, y 'all helped. And a lot of people don't know, but a lot of, like, in turn, everybody don't just be investing in this shit. So y 'all give people a platform to see what's actually going on. Yeah. Man, so that's how I learned. You know what I'm saying? Just sitting down watching this shit. Like, okay, then what's going on? It's how you do it. You keep the camera on. You know what I'm saying? Also from my label, it's just like it worked hand-in-hand.
1:42:43Oh, definitely. Do you see yourself being like a podcaster or a streamer or something, or are you more interested in doing like documentary movie types of stuff? Man, I'm going to do everything, podcast, Twitch. I'm having everything going on. Podcast, Twitch, fashion, DJing. I want to be the first person who DJ and do a song. I want to DJ myself. See how that do, how that work. Just go out on stage every night and just DJ and rap at the same time? You see what I'm saying? I'm hype, man, though. But, like, you feel me? Yeah. Where I start at. You knew you was going to get back to the music as soon as you got out, though?
1:43:22Because if I'm only me, probably you was, like, over it, right? I was over it because when you speak on using your lyrics in your first amendment, you be like, God damn, man. But at the same time I owe it to my supporters The people who fuck with me I owe it to them You ever seen a yak in real life? See a buffalo? Like the animal? Not here and I ain't never seen one I feel like that should be on your bucket list The shit you gotta do before you die It's hard Just post a photo of you with a yak Viral Them up who bite Come bite them back I don't know I'm going to point it down. I'm going to bite it right back.
1:44:03A photo of Yak Audi standing next to an actual Yak. 100 ,000 likes. No problem. That motherfucker. It's true. You just put me down. That's good. Yeah. You got to hit it. You got to hit it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I can't afford any more fuck-ups because I was just with Bobby Shmurda and they were trying to get me to say A-O-Sig. That's what they say in their hood. I couldn't even figure out what the hell they were saying. No game banging. Oh yeah With 50 cents Don't gang bang No Bobby Schmur He's a reformed guy So yeah I got a few more questions Before we get you out of here So what do you think About the current state Of Atlanta music right now Atlanta getting that shit Back together You know what I'm saying I think Our situation Kind of like You know Like Cause you're using First Amendment But it's like It get a little tricky now Yeah But Atlanta Atlanta gonna always be The epidemic I feel like they won't always be the way you know what I'm saying cause so many creators we down that old saturated with rap like you see you got women rapping women snapping like this shit real like it's talent I don't tell it you know what I'm saying did you ever see Playboy Cardi becoming this big household name that he is today Cardi Ben Trim he Ben Trim but this is a new this is a different Cardi Cardi's like one of the biggest rappers in the world it's Cardi Ben Trim I ain't surprised yeah and he been to that school once you been to that school it's like some shit you enroll in once you been to that school he know what he know but what you think Cardi's a student of Thug yeah about a student of Thug the first young brother make it out of this shit I mean Thug took all the all the flack all the bullshit for dressing crazy doing weird stuff that people weren't used to, et cetera, and then Cardi has kind of taken it to another level.
1:46:05Everybody's doing the thoughts, man. And I ain't just saying that, because... That's your homie. That's the homie. He helped his shit. He influenced you. What I always ask people, what would you put on your Mount Rushmore of Atlanta artist if you had to put four faces? and I want to do two because Atlanta y 'all know for producers too. So on the rap side, who would you point to Mount Rushmore? I'm going Ryder. I'm going Jesus. You got to give me about five, twin. We got a lot. I'll give you five. So who the first one?
1:46:49I'm going OutKaz. All right, OutKaz. That one. I'm going Thug up for sure Alright we got Thug That's two That one That's two But I'm going I'm going to be a tilt Alright I'm going to be a tilt Tilt Tilt Like Tilt the original Why ain't you in two's yet like Yeah You grow up You gotta see tilt Go ahead and go up What am I What am I Ask for it I'm gonna give you one more Oh jeez Go on G's I grew up before G's It wasn't that big than G's And so there's no reservations about putting Pluto, Pluto Hold on Gucci on the list Gucci's not really from there But he made his mark there He didn't Grew up man But he grew up So what age Man, grew up man I mean you say the same shit about G's Cause he from But he from Atlanta still But he was Wherever he was at G's Snowman man Gotta go snow Alright, before Alright, so let me Before that Pluto.
1:47:54So that's it. I got out of here right now. But hold on, hold on, hold on. Who you doing the producer side then? It's like, Ben is it, Ben is it? Oh, shit, man. Top five. You got to give me about five, six. Because him, it be like, I'm going brother on the beat. Y 'all don't even know about it. Like, they don't tell me, but he just like, okay. I'm going Zaytig. Got to go Zaytig. Yeah. And I got an on take coming with Zaytig. For sure. on Mike Will. For sure, for sure. Uncle one of that bitch Southside Silsa. Yeah. That one of my favorite producers. God damn, boy. Hold on. Leave the mad niggas on.
1:48:35Nah, you can't. You just put me in the awkward open. But you said Atlanta, though. Yeah. So on Cheen, on Cheen, on Cheen, on Cheen. You gotta go to London. On Cheen. London, like Atlanta. London, Atlanta Public School, London. Yeah. First. Going Weezy. You feel me? I'm going Zay. I'm not Weezy. Chuck Wade. Wade, man. I'm going motherfucking. Dundeele. Mm. I know about Dundeele. Yeah, I know about Dundeele. All right. Him, like, apparently all the sound. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Who I heard growing up? Who made my part of them? I think Dundee I made my problem
1:49:24Damn boy It feelin' me hard
1:49:31I'm goin' motherfuckin' Southside Southside Southside Sizzle Yeah yeah yeah But then you got people like Metro who Magritte San Diego That's one name I was looking at Sonny, S-D. What's my name? My father, twin. S-D. I went to school with Sonny. I went to have school with Sonny. Sonny deserves his flowers. For sure. I went to school with Chip, Sonny. Sure, nice son. I went to school with Sonny. Sure, nice son. That nigga was living in Atlanta? Yeah. Boy, I didn't know that. Sure, nice. True. He get around. He ain't brave when I'm waiting in love. And then the last question I got for you, because I heard you say earlier that you had dipped out of the crib when the police and shit came.
