In short

Joe Baggs discusses her rise from TikTok to Gogglebox, her family’s dynamic (especially mum Lisa), reality-TV and Love Island All Stars gossip, podcasting/publicist pressures, live-TV confidence, brand trips, and her relationship with Kane.

Guest backgrounds

Joe Baggs is an Essex reality/pop-culture personality known for Gogglebox and her podcast. She previously appeared on Love Island (Georgia Harris is mentioned as a fellow participant). Her mum Lisa and brother George were also on earlier podcast/Gogglebox content. Kane is her partner; they met at Maddie Jepsen’s birthday party.

Key claims

Gogglebox casting came from a lockdown TikTok where Joe rated her family in a “straight voice.” She says her family had no major rows on Gogglebox, but mum Lisa’s ADHD tangents caused pre-show arguments. She claims Love Island All Stars producers used her podcast clip (Lauren Wood) for the final and that it influenced Harrison/Belle’s departure. She describes brand trips as often chaotic, including a Krampus night in Austria.

Notable examples

Jamie Oliver “olive oil made her fat” feud; private-jet trip to David Guetta’s Ibiza villa; Krampus chase during a Prime Video skiing trip; meeting Kim Kardashian at a Skims pop-up; Tiffany Pollard as her favourite guest; her glass skylight “album recreation” after it shattered.

1:11Olivia Attwood:This episode is brought to you by Batiste If you're a girl's girl like me Then you're not gatekeeping If I'm onto something good I'm passing it on Because if you love it You share it And that's what Pastor Batiste is all about We're the generation that sends the link, shares the lipstick and hands over the hair tie So why not share the one thing that saves you on busy mornings Post gym or before last minute plans Batiste dry shampoo is one of those everyday hair staples that just makes life easier A few quick sprays and your hair looks fresher, feels better and smells amazing And it's not just for greasy roots Use it after a workout to extend a blow dry Add a bit of texture or volume or leave your hair smelling great with fragrances for whatever mood you're in.

1:55Olivia Attwood:So go on, pass the Batiste. How did you and your family end up on Gogglebox? They ended up finding us on TikTok and it was a video of me rating my family. I've got this straight voice on. I'm like, yeah, me mum's this and me dad's this. Lisa, she's a diva. She's had some beef. Yeah, what are you talking about? What? Talk to me about brand trips. The first thing I do is go on a private jet, David gets his villa. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I know. You met Kim Kardashian? Someone went, oh, this is Joe. He's one of the coolest influences in the UK. Like, I'm not cool. You had Kieran on your podcast. What's the tea?

2:29Olivia Attwood:I want to play a little game. All right. It's called Bags or Bullshit. Oh, God.

2:39Olivia Attwood:Hi, dolls. Welcome back to Olivia's house. Today is going to be a fun day. You can feel the vibes already. we have got Essex royalty, pop culture royalty, podcast royalty. It's Joe Baggs! Thank you so much. What a nice introduction. Did you write that? I mean, I had something to do with it. We was like, what should we say? Podcaster. I was like, no, it's more than that. It's podcast royalty. Thank you. You burst onto our screens via Gogglebox. Yes. We're going to unpack all of that. But before we do it, we have a little segment on the show at the house. so you'd like to leave something at the door.

3:16Olivia Attwood:Do you understand the format of this? Do you understand you're just leaving something, something you don't like? It can be a person, it can be a thing, it can be a trend. Cool. What do you want to leave at the door? Tell me. Dad talk. Dad talk. I want to leave dad talk at the door. Okay. I actually want to boot them out the door. I would like to boot them in the face. So dad talk, for anyone who doesn't know, is basically mum talk of the Mormon wives on Hulu. Yes. It's a show, it's like cult reality show where these Mormon women have, they were a group of TikTokers, weren't they, essentially? They were, yeah.

3:47Olivia Attwood:But can you bring it up to speed on Dad Talk? Have they recently created, trying to make it happen? So what I think's happened is they're kind of piggybacking off Mum Talk's success. Okay. And then they're suddenly like, oh wait, we can do this too, but that's not the point because we bought into Mum Talk, not Dad Talk. Like, we don't really like men, nor want to see men succeed. Wait, what are they doing on their Dad Talks? Well, they're just like making TikToks, slagging off the women, but why are you slagging them off? Because you have careers because of them. They went on their own brand trip to Vanderpump Villa.

4:12And now they're all just like leaking videos, divorcing. It's like this war at the minute. And I just hate it because I'm not bought into you.

4:21Olivia Attwood:Not bought into you. You're so B-storyline. Most of them on that show are so awful. They're unattractive. They're problematic. While we're on it, let's just talk, because I know me and you are both like reality TV obsessed. Yes. The Taylor Frankie Paul video. I just feel really awful for her and hope that she's getting like all the help she needs but then I'm seeing her you know reacting to things commenting on things and she's very much like you know I'm just getting on with my life but I think where she's lived in so much chaos she's so used to it and that scares me because how is this just a blip in your life you know I think maybe she's trying to save face I mean it's awful like I think they should never have had her as a bachelorette because they knew because that was my opinion because they knew about those claims and he's I mean he's evil he sat on that video and then released it to him until she was doing press and then released it.

5:12The whole show's filmed.

5:13Olivia Attwood:It's going in the bin. And there's a child in that video. Like, it's dark. Also, it's just like, that child will exist in the world and that video is out there for... There's so much darkness around it. It's very messy. It's not UK reality TV, is it? Yeah. So that's why people go, well, the Housewives is better and whatever, because they can have them in a state and just film. There's rules against filming people intoxicated. In the UK. I'm pretty sure my mum was blind drunk on Gogglebox a fair few times. And that went in the edit, that did. Well, let's start there. Let's talk about Gogglebox.

5:49Olivia Attwood:Let's talk about Gogglebox. You, you know, this is how we've come to know Joe Baggs, how you kind of came onto the scene. How did you and your family end up on Gogglebox? What was the, how did you get cast? So I was making TikToks during lockdown. Yeah. And they told me that they used to do it in shopping centres, like overhear people's conversations, go up to them and be like, can we come to your house and film for a couple of hours what does that eavesdrop on people people be like no thanks and because of Covid they ended up finding us on TikTok and it was a video of me rating my family and it's looking back it's so embarrassing I've got this straight voice on and I'm like yeah me mum's me mum's this and me dad's this I look back George always roast me about it and that's how they found us it's from that video yeah me mum's got more plastic in her than the Atlantic Ocean is what I said why were you talking straight?

6:34I don't know I was having an identity crisis and then I went to a pride party like a few years later and everyone thought I'd come out at like 23 I was getting so many messages it was so nice

6:42Olivia Attwood:as if it was like but you would yell I've been gay since I was about 8 did you have to do like an official coming out well that was kind I had to then follow up with a statement like no I've been gay for ages guys you'd like my family know yeah yeah I've just finally just like dropped the voice yeah yeah I just dropped the voice so awful so you start filming Gogglebox what was that experience like I mean as a family like I mean the show was quite well known so i guess you knew what you're kind of going into but also a bit of the unknown yeah don't work with your family was there ever any massive rows i would fall out of my family do you know what there wasn't and it was actually genuinely like lovely to spend that time together during that period because i think we were getting to that age where we were all just going out all the time it was nice to like reconnect in that way but where my mum we've all got ADHD in like our own different ways.

7:33And like mine's diagnosed, mum's is undiagnosed. So I don't know what type she's got going on, but they would do this thing called a preamble where you chat before the show comes on. And they were like, the formula is, you know, like A to B in about 30 seconds. Great. Oh my God. We're like four hours in. Mum's talking about mayonnaise and how ketchup and mayonnaise shouldn't be in the fridge. And I was losing the will to live. And some days I'd be like, can we cut this? Like I need to go outside and have a breather. She'd go on the worst tangents. Yeah. So that's when we used to argue.

8:02Olivia Attwood:And then literally, you're all in your lounge. You've got the cameras behind the... Do you have to rearrange your front room a little bit? Yeah, pretty much. They put the cameras behind the telly and all the lights. Am I also watching telly under lights? Yeah, I know. There's a couple of times I was hung over and I thought... Because I'm like no top light in my house ever. Side lights. Oh, really? So watching telly in a full lit room, that sounds like being awake during surgery. I do look back at the pictures of myself and I think, oh. I know it's just watching telly, but also you've got to chat.

8:34Olivia Attwood:Like you've got to make sure you like, you know, if you're so few bit hungover. And when your mum's talking about Sharon's sister's cousin who didn't put mayonnaise in her fridge, you do end up losing your mind. And you're like, please keep it on track, Lisa, because we're never going to get this done. We're never getting out of this living room. Do you have any favourite memories? Favourite memories? I'd say my mum, there was one time when they were micing my mum up and she forgot she had a bra on. had just pulled up her top and just flashed her tits out, which was hilarious. But she had no bra on.

9:01Yeah, no bra on.

9:01Olivia Attwood:She thought she did. She thought she did. And she just went like that. Or another time, which is my favourite, is I love this one. She's going to kill me because this has been like a roast from the moment I've sat down. I love you, mum. Is that she, I heard her run out to the fridge and she forgot, like she didn't cover her mic and I heard her let out the biggest fart and I heard them laugh on the monitor and I thought this poor woman. And like she knew she'd done it as well. She got some kitchen to rip one out in safety. and they were this. It's so honestly, poor Lisa. Lisa, I've got, Lisa is, she's a diva.

9:35Olivia Attwood:Yeah. Your content together is hilarious. Thank you. And she's had some beef. She's had, she's picked some fights. Yeah, what, you talk about Jamie Oliver? Can we? Yeah, of course. So she said that Jamie Oliver's recipes made her fat. Yes. And then, did that turn into them like beefing each other? So the beef, so they were friends on Facebook somehow. I don't know how. Right. And then, so he posted this thing and my mum was like, yeah, but your book made me fat because you put olive oil in everything. And he put back, try some margarine then, love. So she obviously went crazy about that. And then years later from this job, I made a video.

10:12Olivia Attwood:So this was pre-Gogglebox? This is years ago. This is like pure Facebook mum ran. Try some margarine. So passive aggressive. I know. So then I made a TikTok about it. His daughter sees, DMs me. he then voice notes me off his daughter's phone, ends up sending my mum a cookbook that says sorry with a bottle of olive oil. No, that's funny. That is actually... How amazing. That's so funny. Was she buzzing? Yeah, well, she screamed and cried and she was like, oh my God, I can't believe he still remembers me. He said it was someone logged into his account, but I don't believe that. No, I think he was obviously in a bad mood.

10:46Olivia Attwood:He thought, fuck you, shut up, Lisa. He's like, my fault you lugging the olive oil down. he's like I'm up to my neck in these school dinners the chicken nuggets I don't need your shit do you know what I mean I know bless her your mum went to school with Victoria Beckham she did uh Victoria was like a couple of years below my mum and then um yeah they weren't really friends because mum said she used to pull up in her Bentley and I think she was here is what my mum would say and then yeah and then um she bumped into David in like an aisle of a shop and he was shopping for underwear and she walked past him and was like shouldn't you be looking for extra extra large so that's where i get it from basically that's so that's where you get you're you got more front than asda because lisa has taught you the way yes and what and did he respond i can't remember what he said i think he giggled i think she might have giggled your family and and you found huge success from gogglebox and obviously you went on to have your own podcast your brother was on the podcast with your mum was on they're both on and off and now you're on your own yes that is correct yes some may say i fired them i didn't it was a mutual family decision for anyone asking but the only person that stayed is you so you're the you're the problem i am i'm i'm horrendous i'm like ellen it's going to come out in a few years i'm horrendous to work with horrific um toxic workplace culture the mum and brother are like nah i'm out this is just too much yeah um you've been on a few brand trips uh you've worked with tv channels talk to me about brand trips because i always think that it's really interesting for my listeners to hear about them because they're kind of like there's so much like speculation on tips about what goes on i mean what are they really like have you had a favorite one have you had a one that you're like what the fuck well the first one i ever did was jack wills and they flew us out on a private jet to david getter's villa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa I know because you know my sister wants me to get with David Guetta okay okay so I so hold on I'm single now I don't know if you read the press but I so I look I'm glad you mentioned it not me oh my god no I've got a flaccid that's not good for my single life my mic's gone flaccid the moment you say it the mic goes flaccid yeah it's like so yeah I'm single now and I'm like who do I want to date and I was like being at Dating DJ would be so fun and I was like but I need someone older so my sister keeps sending me David Guetta videos going he has a boat and he has this he has a chalet make it happen I'm like gee I'm trying to run my career I'm trying to do my thing isn't he married?

13:19Olivia Attwood:oh I don't know fact check that George Atwood get off my fucking dick about David Guetta who's married okay so you go to his house in what country? in Ibiza it's just like quite random it was really random like his personal home his personal home and I was on his Netflix in the room which is hilarious it was all in was it in a different language? I can't remember I mean I didn't have time to even be in the room because I was just drunk 24-7 but imagine like I come off a telly show I quit my job in recruitment and the first thing I do is go on a private jet David Gets Villa I thought this is the life this is what influencing is I was what like 23 and I was thinking oh my god yeah no trip has ever compared to that ever since that's you've peaked too early I know because also then it's like anything after that is like a little bit of an anti-climax I have not done to be honest that many brand trips two reasons one are the ones I went off really early after Love Island Georgia Harris and I got so drunk that we didn't do any content and we ended up in debt to the brand I didn't know that people were actually doing content that is so funny I thought that it was like suggestions of like oh it's a better it was a 10 suggestion content no I really realised it was like you go to the things that's so funny yeah so anyway after my agent was like let's just keep you you know in the TV studio at home it's not for you so sometimes they're fun but it depends who's on them doesn't it?

14:39Olivia Attwood:Yeah, it does. That depends how enjoyable they are. That's the first time I really met everyone that I worked a lot with over the past few years and all that kind of TikTok crowd. And then I did one with Prime Video Skiing which was amazing. I got chased by these Krampuses in the street. Where was a Krampus? For anyone that doesn't know what a Krampus is. So the way this fell I thought the brand had planned it. So in this movie that we were going to promote there was a Krampus in it and this is one night a year in Austria in this one town. I think actually it's across Austria. These men dress up and these big furry suits with horns, they look absolutely horrific and are allowed to hit you with these sticks.

15:12So we're going skiing, we come off the Apres ski, we're in this shop taking our boots off and this man is like, do not go out tonight. And I'm like, they've paid this bloke, right? They've paid this bloke to do this. So I'm like, no, babe, we're going out. So anyway, I'm downstairs in this suit already. All of a sudden I'm outside. The only way I'd describe this, I don't know if you've got BP, is it's like an active shooter situation, right? There's screams, people are falling, the brand looked terrified and I'm looking at them thinking what is happening this man in a furry suit comes into the lobby of the hotel with a stick starts hitting people's shins I'm like whipping people I'm in the back storeroom of this hotel like hoping he doesn't hit me free like trying to call my mum and then he's posted a photo outside he apparently like gave up the stick and then we got on the taxi so it's like

16:01Olivia Attwood:I've never heard of that in my whole existence the night of the Krampus and that was on a brand trip. The night of the... And they just run around and hit people. It's naughty kids, apparently. Okay, back it. But yeah, how crazy. Oh my God. Okay, wait. That is mental. And then what did you do on the rest? Ah! That's terrifying. My producer just showed us. No, I don't like that. Oh no, that would give me so much anxiety. Imagine that running at you down the street. No, I'd panic attack central. I don't like that. Okay. And did you ski? Oh, barely. Yeah. I had to get lessons before I went for the brand.

16:40But actually, my instructor was called Nagy. Now I know how he got his nickname. He made me cry. I'd had a bottle of rose the night before, and he was like, no, no, no. And I was just, yeah, I sobbed on the, I actually called Kane.

16:51Olivia Attwood:Do you know what's actually crazy? It's like, I'm, well, I'm half Canadian, and we lived in Canada, grew up on skis. I, skiing is a Ponzi scheme. Like that, sorry, that is, do not invite me on a ski holiday. Like, I'll go to, I'll go there, I'll apri-ski I'll wear the outfits I'll do with eating and stuff I don't want to be lugging equipment up a mountain freezing my fucking tits off and then maybe as a like consolation prize you get like a snapped ACL I'm good yeah like I'm not going on holiday to work out if I'm breaking my neck I'm falling off a bar yeah like I'm not falling like on a rock under the snow like I just I just don't get it I actually just I think as a concept it's so bizarre yeah agreed totally with you let's revert back to the podcast not my bag you've off to Lisa Oh my God, the way you said it like that.

17:39Olivia Attwood:And George. You're perpetuating the rumors. I'm joking. So let's talk about it. Hosting a podcast is a skill set. Thank you. Some people have it, some people don't. Too many people have podcasts now. That's my opinion. There's too many. And it is valid. People have said it about me. So yeah, it's valid. No, you are a good podcaster. Thank you. And you know, it's all about the chat. And it's not always easy. because sometimes them guests, you know, even you research them, they will turn up and they will give you nothing. Yes. Like literally you are fighting for your life. Have you had any moments in records where you're like, oh shit.

18:14Well, yeah, like, I mean, Rosie, your producer, used to do mine and she knows for a fact that I've been fighting for my life many a time.

18:22Olivia Attwood:Rosie, can you think of anyone? Well, she knows. One thing I would say about podcasts is like, I've, like, I'm not a broadcaster. I didn't go and like train in this style of things. I had to learn on the job technically for everyone to see. So like, it's like when you go to a job and you're training and like people don't really look at you, they're like, whatever. I was, we were banging views at the start, like on that pod. Like some pods were like 800K views and you think, I look back at my style of interview and it's horrific. It's so, I wouldn't even watch my first like 10 episodes. And I was drunk the whole time.

18:53And I just think that like I've gotten to a point where I've learned so much, but that's over what? Like a three year period. It's a long time. Like every single week for three years. so it's a lot it's a lot of hard work to get to a point where you're happy with how you interview

19:05Olivia Attwood:people 100 and like you say i think sometimes that when guests appear on podcasts and the audience don't feel like they got what they specifically wanted from that chat there can be like negativity a lot of criticism like you say you are you're not we're not i'm i'm not a journalist either i play one on telly yeah do you know i mean that's that's what i always say i cosplay as one it's like but on i when people come into my podcast into my studio i want them to feel comfortable. I want them to feel like at home. I'm not trying to put anyone like under like scrutiny. You know, so I'm sorry if that's, you know, you don't get what you think you wanted.

19:42I do agree with what you said before. PR is, we said this before we started.

19:46Olivia Attwood:PR is killing our podcast. Well, because I think, you know, you have to play it safe. You have to save face for yourself and you've got your own brand. But some people are playing it so safe that I'm just sat there like, I know there's more to this and you're trying to get it out of people. Thankfully, I've had a lot of people recently that do want to give into it which is great and we love that i have this issue not issue and me and my publicist have back and forth sometimes when i'm a guest on people's podcasts and then he'll go oh like let's just take out this that the other and i'm like oh wait that was really funny and he's like what they're doing is obviously protecting you as their client so every situation of course and if someone's publicist asks me to remove things from a podcast i'll always do it because i don't think it's in good faith or there's anything to gain if someone wants something removed but I it's hard because it's like if the person the talent wants it in then I'm like sometimes it's like such a good story and you think that's not going to do any harm like it's a funny story I think they need to trust you the guest is the ultimate thing and then I just think you know just lean into it a bit more but the thing is I think being a publicist right now must be the most well maybe my publicist is the most exhausting job in the fucking world that s*** is getting a Christmas hamper Callum you've got a Harrods hamper of your name on it Oh, I love Callum.

20:58Olivia Attwood:Yeah, Callum's my brother. I love him. He's exhausted. Oh, is he? He's knackered. I wonder why is he going to protect? He's wasting away in bed. Yeah, so they're trying to protect you. And also, unfortunately, we live in a world where anything anyone says gets so jumped on. This might be controversial, but it's like, look at the Jess Wright situation. Yeah, I saw that. I understand for some people, it didn't feel very feminist. But also, it was about a bikini. like the reaction to it so that's why I think there was an uproar wasn't there uproar there was like pitchforks out in Essex I've never seen anything like it torches a lot so then if you're a publisher you're looking after someone and you're listening to their things you're going to try and think of anything that could ever upset so we're losing opinion yeah we are we're losing it's just an opinion we are I think that's it do you know what I mean and I think that that's kind of sad because it's like because people want to people want to hang people so badly online I think we're going to get to a point in entertainment where it will reverse Do you think?

21:57Yeah, because you can't go to that point. What's the point in watching anything then? I know. Because it's just going to get so boring. I completely agree. And I feel like there will be a turn. It'll be me.

22:05Olivia Attwood:I hope it, I really hope it is. Because I would like us to, you know, be like pushing the envelope of comedy and like things that we used to do like in the 90s that when I was growing up, telly was so risky. There's some changes that I think are good and we have to protect people more than we did. But I think with things becoming so sanitized, people will work so hard to get themselves offended. you can just flick onto the next channel but I loved it a mess just don't look at it you look at the All Stars final right my clip of the podcast with Lauren was whacked into that final oh we're going there it was mess and I loved it and I thought that was good mess that was good mess so for anyone that doesn't know Lauren Wood who is the ex-girlfriend of Harrison who just appeared on Love Island All Stars was on your podcast while the show was going on she basically was like saying she was blindsided by him appearing on All Stars he was kind of leading her on blah de blah de blah did you know they were going to clip up your podcast and put it in the final.

22:56So they'd got in touch, but I didn't know, because I've done After Sound, they'd always kind of float an idea to you, but it's whether on the night they feel like that fits what they're doing. So they asked for the podcast, we sent it over. And then when I saw it, I was completely gagged because it wasn't just like a little clip. They played it for about 30 seconds.

23:11Olivia Attwood:I mean, talk about unbelievable promo for your pod. You must have been like, come on. I was living for it. It was the best night of my life. But yeah, no. And I thought like that type of drama, it's just playing into narrative of the show. and I think that's great however I do want to produce credit on Love Island because I do feel like Harrison and Belle left because of that podcast episode because everyone went in didn't they and they said as in they were dumped because well yeah they were dumped because of the Lauren thing was the main underlying reason I thought not me writing the story not you like influencing the course of the show can you believe from mega fan of the show to that it's a very full circle moment I know I could actually see you doing something with Love Island Can you?

23:55Olivia Attwood:Talking of Love Island and All Stars, you had Kieran on your podcast. I did, and you had Sammy, didn't you? Yeah. One all. Yes, yes. So I had Sammy on the pod. Yes. We chatted all things. At that point, to be fair, I pushed... Wait. What? Yeah, because she was on your trip. Yeah. So this is like a very full circle moment. What is going on? And if you're not into All Stars, just to strap in for the next five minutes because this is all great Love Island. Why am I getting the tea from all sides? Okay, so listen. I obviously I wish I'd let her decompress a little bit because I got her off the plane like she poor bitch hadn't even unpacked her bag so she was obviously very like oh like yeah I mean like we're so loved up and I think she genuinely at that time hoped they were gonna be then obviously it fizzled so we're in New York I've got the girls Sammy's there and we're basically doing my River Island collection launch with a basically old party holiday in New York and when she lands she was like it things are just not good with us that we're not connected I think I'm gonna call time on it so they break up on my river island trip and obviously that my this river island trip turned into like a stag do okay literally we were like feral because we're all single apart from like one of them right okay i'm obviously nearly single she says you smell the new york hair and she's like smells like she walked through one of those steamy steamy vents on the street and thought let's get my tits out she was like it smells like being single okay and then that's it and then i you know i all i understood from her was that it fizzled that you know they didn't have that much in common what's the tea?

25:20Olivia Attwood:What can you tell us? Well, what he has told me is And obviously people can go to your podcast and listen to the full thing Yes But give us a little taster So what he has said is that she kind of went the other way prior to your trip So that made it sound like your trip was the reason but it wasn't That sounded like a horrible influence And basically the day before they made it official and broke up Tyreek had sent her flowers So he was very much like how did he even get your address? And Tyreek, I feel like Like, can I just say, I really admire the man. I think he is like a master rage baiter.

25:54And I do think he is funny, right? In just the way he makes content and the streaming, I think, is so clever. And he liked my announcement clip of Kieran last night. I thought, this is just, the pettiness is crazy. And he's gone on streams and said, Sammy has a special place in his heart right now. And so, I don't know what's happening. It's all a mess.

26:11Olivia Attwood:Did you see that when we were in New York, he posted Sammy to his story and was like, I'll see you when you get back, but then deleted it. obviously people saw it yeah so i think i like him too i think he's very charming i think he's very good at what he does but i think streamers fall into a very different category to like content creators because their life is is to engage people yeah so it's like they have to keep it moving keep it interesting so i think he's very bold he is also what he's done is form this kind of like all-stars-esque niche when love island is on to get these other islanders on to talk about it and there's islanders that like won't come on my pod but will go on that stream and i really rate that but i think surely it's safer to come on a pod that's edited you don't you know you go on a live stream just say whatever but they everyone seems to love it and he obviously is a good host yeah oh god imagine us in a live with some drinks we'd never work again i'd have to move to mongolia and just let change my identity um oh my god that's so good any favorite guests any standouts oh my god I know it's hard when people ask me that I always feel put me on the spot everyone's been my favourite no there was there were some chaotic ones back in the day that was just crazy when we started that were just hilarious and like I had like Mel C on as one of my first few guests which is just mental to even say a spiced girl yeah and she said that her daughter knew who me and George were so that's why she did it Gemma Collins came on for a Christmas special had her hair done with all these extensions put in after the pod was that, I'm going to plate cheese for brunch.

27:41Me mum's just spin it by a car on a bike. And she was like, I actually don't like the length of my hair. So got these scissors off the desk and cut her extensions off in front of me. As she left, there was this one string of long hair down the back and I just thought, I'm just going to let it go. I'm just going to let it go.

27:56Olivia Attwood:That sounds like a fever dream. Honestly, that era of the podcast was and like Louis Spence came in, one of our first guests. Oh my God, icon. Asked for a mirror up in front of the set so he could imagine, you know like pineapple dance yeah yeah the mirror fell and destroyed half of Grace's set seven years bad luck Grace is in the room watching the pod wait hold on is it GK Barry GK Barry because you used to share a filming location yeah it was like opposite so the mirror fell and damaged her set half her set and he went oh just feel me love I thought oh my god it was just constant chaos that's fun though yeah it was really fun and I've had like some great ones recently I mean Brie from Selling Sunset you met her recently she's great I love her I'm just I'm obsessed with the lore of her life like with the Nick Cannon and his like nine million children she has one with him yes and yeah it's just like and she's always here yes she is but then sometimes she's there and I'm like her air miles must be through the fucking roof I know I love her though or does he get her a PJ I don't know no I don't know but Christine's coming back who?

29:01Christine

29:01Olivia Attwood:I read this on the internet I read it on your story I think did you put the internet's healing? Yeah, I did. Because she was one of my favourite TV villains of all time. And she had a rough time with her husband. So Christine Quinn, she had that terrible divorce with that guy. Yes. And he waited till she went on House of Villains to basically sue her and send her a load of legal documents. So I tried watching her on it and I was like, she seems really out of sorts and that's the reason why. This is what I mean about men just waiting till people do stuff to leak it. They're just horrible. Yeah.

29:30Men are horrible.

29:31Olivia Attwood:I honestly, it's coming to an issue. I've never had a straight male guest. Have you not? You know? Don't have anything to say to him. I don't even know any good ones. I just, I like men for stuff that I wouldn't video. What an illiquid way of putting that. Unless my work really dried up. And then I'd consider it because I know all about how it works. Oh my God. Oh my goodness. I mean, I would, I should have one. I just. I'm just trying to think of who. And talk about what? Do you know what I mean? Oh, I got one. I got one. Go on. Lewis Hamilton. You can get the tea. You know, I was a monster girl.

30:07Olivia Attwood:I've been around Lewis. Oh, okay. Well, yeah, but pre-existing connection. All right. No, I just don't think... People like that are so PR'd. Will I am? Okay, that's not bad. Not me throwing guest suggestions at you. Yeah, that's not bad. Guys, wait. Get to work. Yeah, I'm going to bill you for my hours today. Please. You can bill these up.

30:33Olivia Attwood:Okay, dolls. You know what? I actually cannot wait for my next night in, especially with Sky Ultimate TV. You know I love to work hard, but that does mean I miss out on my very much needed me time. Once in a while, I just need a night in on the sofa catching up on all my favorite shows. But honestly, there's nothing I hope more than endlessly scrolling for something to watch. Like looking through all the pages of new shows, it's so overwhelming. I always end up watching the same things again and again. And then I hear about shows where friends have recommended, but I I actually completely forget to watch them by the time I actually have some free time.

31:07Olivia Attwood:I'm so guilty for just re-watching the same show over and over and over again. I just get bored and I'm going on my phone, not even watching the TV. But like a TV fairy godmother, Sky has the ultimate solution. For the first time, they have brought together Sky, Disney +, Netflix, HBO Max, and Hey You in one simple subscription. I cannot believe no one has done this before. I've been dying to watch Louis Farouh Inside the Manosphere on Netflix. I feel like I have so many questions I need answering from the clips I've seen online. But then I also need to balance it out with something a bit softer, like FX's Love Story on Disney+.

31:43Olivia Attwood:I'm obsessed with Caroline Bissette's style. Although, knowing me, I'll probably end up going from that to Vanderpump Rules on Hey You, one of my favourite comic book programmes, or Friends on HBO Max, the ultimate feel-good series. And then, if I want to throw something easy and funny on, I'll do Saturday Night Live UK on Sky. But what is an actual lifesaver is Sky's playlist feature. When I get a new recommendation, I add it to my playlist. They're no more scrolling through to find something to watch. They're all kept together in one handy playlist. Or it will even make recommendations based on what I watch, making it super easy.

32:18Olivia Attwood:There's nothing I love more than getting my ultimate setup. Cozy pajamas on, cold Diet Coke from the fridge, and my favorite snack of choice, of course, olives. I like the lights down low, a candle on and the dogs cosying up next to me. What are you waiting for?

32:37Olivia Attwood:From podcasting to TV, you've emigrated back to the terrestrial television. You've been popping up on Lorraine. Thank you. You've been doing, obviously, Love I'm Laughs and you've done. What was it like moving into a live format? Do you remember your first live TV appearance? Yes, I do. Go on, what was it? My first one, I think, was Big Brother Late in Live. Yeah. And I did that. And I think I just had this moment of, like, I love pop culture. I love reality TV. I've watched all of these things growing up. So to be in that moment of kind of being on Gogglebox reacting to then AJ's walking towards me, I thought I was going to prolapse.

33:14Like, I genuinely, she said something to me. And I just, I remember just like not remembering what I was saying. And she said about Gogglebox. I was like, hey, hey, hey, hey, telly. and then I look back and I think oh my god but it's such a confidence thing I think you have to find your rhythm gain confidence I did Late in Live I did Lorraine first time I did it was like Deering Headlights and that makeup artist for the morning lady like she made me look like a doll I look back and I think oh that was I could have rubbed that off

33:40Olivia Attwood:they love some heavy foundation down there in the daytime studios a little bit of a cut crease and I would have been good to go you know in Gran Canaria on a night out but bit of tuck tape and even a wedding but um yeah no and then I kind of just built my confidence up and then I think After Sun was where I really felt good. That you were getting into the groove. Yeah, I was like, this is my dream gig. I love this show. I know everything about it and I feel like I came into my own since then. Then I recently started doing the competitions for ITV. That's epic. And I did it at the Brits and they gave me£123 ,456.

34:13I can't even remember it now. £78. So one to eight. I kept forgetting it. I was live.

34:19Olivia Attwood:Wait, hold on. What do you mean? I just kept forgetting the prize amount. it was 120 and you don't have autocue for that you just need to remember just remembering it and I said it my dyslexia could never I looked at the camera at one point I went I don't know what I just said I was just like trying but anyway got a call back so I thought it wasn't that bad so you've like you've properly started to like you know like get your like pave your way in that and like get your like you say it's confidence yeah it's the more times you do it I remember the first time being on a live format and it's like when they go oh I'm alive it's like the adrenaline once you get control of the adrenaline it's no actually different to doing this.

34:53Olivia Attwood:It's not. It's no different. It's just getting out of your own head. That's it. Like when I did Comic Relief that's the first time I didn't get that adrenaline rush because I kind of just was so You've done enough now. settled into it. But oh my God at first it's like someone's drop kicking you in the throat. It's very like you thought you were being hunted for sport. Oh yeah. My body does not know the difference between being hunted and doing a TikTok live. Do you have intrusive thoughts? Oh my God all the time. So I remember the first few times I did a live TV I used to think when I'd be waiting like in the ad break I used to think as soon as I go live I'm going to say something crazy I'd be like no you're not just talk like how you normally talk but then I'd start to think of all the things that you should oh my god imagine if I said this imagine if I just knocked this glass of water over like you just and I'm like and by the time I ask you the question you go and then you're like you're so in your own head that they asked you something that you're like where am I?

35:42where am I? but Tiffany Pollard is the personification of intrusive thoughts come to life I did late in life with her shut the fuck up you did it with her But actually, I backtrack in. She was my favourite guest on the podcast. Okay. I mean... She was amazing. She doesn't give a fuck. I adored her because she'd done Late in Live the night before and she came to the studio and her manager was like, she might need to wear sunglasses because I don't think she's going to have time to do glam. It was 10am. No, she'd stayed awake. She came straight from Late in Live, went to her hotel room and then just came into my pod and did it.

36:12And she was phenomenal. That woman is just like world class. I love her.

36:16Olivia Attwood:Hilarious. You've got a new gig now. Britain's Got Talent. yes I do can we talk about that yes it's the first time that I've spoken about it but I'm the digital host for Brins Got Talent's After Show this year come on guys thank you it's very exciting thank you that's very exciting when do you start filming? in end of April and so basically you'll like unpack what's happened there at the auditions yeah it's super like crazy behind the scenes chaos speaking to semi-finalists the judges all that type of stuff and that show is pretty crazy and there's like some pretty wacky acts yeah but I mean you're in good company Anne and Dec Amanda Holden I know Alicia Dixon Is that quite surreal?

36:53Yeah it is And like I grew up watching that show We watched that show on Gogglebox So I think like It's so mental When I got the ask I just thought This is wild But it's like Such a me show I'm just more buzzing To just like Get my teeth sunk into it Yeah amazing

37:07Olivia Attwood:Congratulations Very deserved Thank you You've met a lot of celebs I have yeah You met Kim Kardashian I did yes And what was it like? Surreal Did you interview her? Was it like a press junket? No, it was Skims pop up in Selfridges. In the car on the way, I was thinking like, you know, what would I say to Kim K if I met her? Like, you know, and basically I was a bit thrown off because I thought she was just coming. Originally, I thought she was going to come in, chat to everyone, get pictures. She didn't. She was just a photo wall for ages. So I thought, oh, we're not actually going to meet her.

37:36She just stood there. I just thought, okay, there was all security around. Then she was brought past and someone went, oh, this is Joe. He's, imagine being introduced to this. he's one of the coolest influences in the uk like i'm many things i'm not i'm not cool was it an american person that said yeah and i'm not i can imagine it they defraze things so weirdly can you imagine my reaction to that i just went oh you're so pretty yeah i folded my knees there's actually a video of me in the back in someone's story and you can see me afterwards just go like someone's deflated me like a whoopee cushion um and then it gets worse so she's contracted to walk around the room for an hour i didn't know this oh my god so she's just like clock watching yeah and you know me like i'm hot shit with my insta and stuff i will edit in person i've whacked an air pod in and i'm already editing meeting her right in the room she just keeps walking past me don't lapping i've got an air pod in i'm on cap cut she's walked past she's like right i think what the What the fuck is going on right now?

38:38It was absolutely mental. Is she gorgeous? Stunning. Tiny? I actually saw on the side of her light what light she uses, so I bought that.

38:46Olivia Attwood:What light was that? I'm gatekeeping. Oh, you fucking bitch! Like a handheld? Yeah, it's phenomenal. Don't worry about it. I'll let the team know afterwards. Okay. And does someone in her team hold it for her? They hold it for her, so she's always super well lit. Is it stick, square or round? It's like a barrel. It's about that big. it's huge. Bush baby, get that Amazon open right now. It's mental. And she's just stunning. Like she's everything you think she would be in person. And yeah, it was just, that was probably one of the most mental celeb encounters really. Who would you think would have you more starstruck if that's possible?

39:24Olivia Attwood:Kris Jenner. Really? Right. So you know on Therapist, Jake Shane's podcast, and his goal is to meet Taylor Swift and interview her. Mine is Kris Jenner. Okay. I have a picture of her on the set. She is my goal. Yeah, she's your number one. What is it about, you know, KJ that you love so much? I think the way she's like built the family from the ground up. What a woman. I can really relate to. Lucy, I would have thought of you as you're more the Kim K of the family. I can promise you I'm not. That's mum. Oh, actually valid. That's mum. That's Lisa. And she's got some wild stories that I'd probably have to stop the press from.

40:00Olivia Attwood:Okay, so maybe you are the Kris Jenner. No, I definitely am. And Lisa's Kim. And I'd say... Who's Kourtney? George. George is so Courtney energy. Rocks up when he feels like it. I'm not subscribing to this drama. That is George. Sorry. We've had this massive thing planned for months in the kind of big family get together and then George will just text on the day and be like, I'm on holiday. Sorry, George. I love you. That's actually amazing. Your relationship with Kane brings me a lot of joy on Instagram. Thank you. You're very funny together. How did you guys meet? We met at Maddie Jepsen's birthday party.

40:36Olivia Attwood:I just did a job with Maddie Jepsen the other week. She's the, for people who don't know, she's a content creator, TikToker, host. Yeah, I was going to... She just does these... That's how she first went viral, wasn't she? But she's actually, she's super talented. She's in the West End now. Phenomenal. Like, she does these... Am I doing it? It's an art. It's an art form. I can't do it either. Yeah, that's why she does it, not me. I'd blow a vessel. So you met at her party. Did you know each other at all? we met once before at the Nick's like Barbie event like before that but didn't really speak and then I basically was leaving because I was like okay I'm gonna go home I had a bit too much to drink and then I was like you know what I'm gonna go in there and I'm gonna shoot my shot so I went in stood at the bar and I just I was just drunk and I just started going and then he turned around he was like are you okay and then that was it that was it and then so you were basically passing away at the bar and he checked in on you yeah and then we walked to the box and then they wouldn't let me in because I was wearing shorts so he said I'll stay with you and I thought that's a real man yeah that's like a real green flag he stayed with me when I was in my shorts how short were the shorts?

41:44they weren't even that short but they just had a real problem with my calves

41:48Olivia Attwood:jealous maybe I think I've got shin splints so let's not go into that we had a whole 10 minute debrief on our hypochondria before we started you live together we do this is the house did your ceiling cave in just not long ago. It did. Thank you for the reminder of the trauma. We rent and the... I mean, thank God it's not totally your problem then. No, it's not totally my problem, but obviously when five panes of glass spontaneously combust in your house, you've obviously got to be like, oh, something's wrong. So for people that didn't see it, it's like a skylight. An entire glass, like of a glass lantern fell.

42:23Thank God my dog wasn't under there. You could have killed someone. Could have killed someone. But the way I deal with trauma and traumatic situations is when it happened, I thought, well, there's nothing I can physically do.

42:34Olivia Attwood:Where were you when it happened? I was in the hallway. I thought that a pane of glass from our bedroom had fallen against that. So I heard a boom. That's why I was recording. I came into the room and then it fell. So after it happened, I just thought, do you know what? I do these album recreations. It was Rihanna's album anniversary coming up. So I thought, let me whack on a lace front, whack on a mini skirt. I did a photo shoot in the kitchen. I thought, what else can I do? Next to all the glass. Yeah, next to all the glass. And what was... I'm shaking holding the camera. I'm so anxious. And what are you rolling around with a wig on?

43:02Olivia Attwood:I mean, that must be quite mental for delivery drivers when they ring your doorbell on a Friday night and you're mid-filming some kind of sketch or TikTok and you're both in costumes. There's always wigs, costumes, everything. I actually had to clear out our dressing up cupboard recently, but there's over 100 wigs. Jesus. If you ever want one, let me know. I mean, to be fair, maybe I need one. Do you know why it broke? How does that even happen? Still TBC, but I move on Monday, so I'm moving house. You're out. Not my problem anymore. No problem. get out um who's messy around the house that's a really good question i feel like i'm a bit chaotic at the minute so i am but when i'm home i like it clean so that's the problem i'll leave the mess i'll come in i'll be like why is that there type of thing yeah but i'm very ocd okay so you like things where you like them if you're rushing with work you'll just throw it yeah who's the bigger diva me yeah can you not tell but you're so like you're so kind of reserved and like it all happens behind closed doors.

43:58This is why I'm fighting for reality format. You know what you need to host? What? My life.

44:01Olivia Attwood:Yes. Just come round. And just kind of vlog it. Yeah, it would probably ruin me. Kane's like half of the shit you say could never go anywhere. Yeah, that's the problem. You see, we need to bring back an unoffended, we need to bring back the Osborne generation of reality TV. That's what I want. Yeah. You have matching tattoos. We do, yeah. Oh, someone did their research. Whose idea was that? That was mine. And what do you have? Matching sunflower. We were kind of like having a bit of a lull with the pod. I thought, you know what, maybe getting a matching tattoo or live on the pod might be fun. Absolutely.

44:36Did fuck all views, to be honest with you. But now we've got a sunflower on each other, so that's fine.

44:40Olivia Attwood:And I hope that you don't live to regret that decision. I have, to date, three separate tributes to three separate men on my body. Do you? Almost a gallery. Yeah. A walking gallery. I think there's a couple I'm going to cover soon. Is there? Well, maybe like our wedding, Brad and I got till death do us part. And my arm says till death and he says do us part. I mean, I'm not planning on dying, so I probably should get rid of it. Maybe till... Oh, no, that was awful. That was like a cringey Pinterest thing. It just makes me sad. Till death do us party. Shut the fuck up. You're a genius. you are a fucking I'm going on Saturday it's done I've got a great tattoo artist it's fucking done oh my god thank you done let's do it on the pod we'll get him in dog dad how many dogs do you have now?

45:37Olivia Attwood:only one why do I think you have more? one is enough because oh it's been Liv it's been a nightmare is there go on he prolapsed so he so he prolapsed with the whole thing it happened the week when the glass ceiling fell he's just had his little designer bum hold on so sorry he's like an anal prolapse yes an anal prolapse and what caused that we don't know and so was it like just what happens is he shitting himself I don't know oh my god Kane I'm so squeamish it happened at the weekend and Kane was like thank god you won and you would have passed away but he's had it all tucked in now he's had his balls off at the same time and you just don't know why that happened no idea he's only little apparently it happens in smaller dogs yeah fucking hell but he's he's recovering well So you've had quite a stressful time this year.

46:23Yeah, January was horrible.

46:24Olivia Attwood:Yeah, I feel like everyone was like, it was like being awake during surgery. It was grim, wasn't it? It was really, really awful. And then things have picked up and I'm feeling good. Like, yeah, good. It hit 1st of Feb. I met Kim K and I thought it can only get better from here. It can only go up. Yeah. And also, I think we entered our Chinese New Year, Year of the Horse. We did, I'm really big on that. And I just think it's just the same. I felt that, I mean, I shared, I mean, I've left everything behind last year. Jesus Christ, I've got nothing left. proposals on the cards who would propose do you talk about it see I'd want Cain to propose I don't know what do you feel about this because like I'm such a content creator at heart that like if it's happening I want drones I want you know what I mean I want hidden photographers I want the family waiting so if he did it and he didn't have it covered properly you'd be like well we'd have to fake it then wouldn't we and do it again so then I'm like so do I want to not put the pressure on him we just do it wherever not at home but you know like wherever and then we film but it's not authentic is it I know and I'm big on the old authenticity surely he knows what's important to you and he'd sort out well yeah champagne a lake a drone a videographer yeah they're really important to me 4k cameras lighting yeah mic'd up a crew yeah glam they're all important to me talking to your weddings I was like locked in your parents renewing their vows how many years married?

47:4630

47:47Olivia Attwood:Insane. They won't let me forget it. And you officiated. I did. How was it? I did. So... The whole thing was iconic. The whole thing was iconic. So I... Have you ever seen Schitt's Creek? Of course. So I got the Pope costume that Moira Rose wore, remade. And then she was so annoying because she said... I told her before and she said, you can't wear that. And then after I got into my suit, she was like, I would have liked you to wear that. And I was like, I would have been such a bit... Anyway, got my contents. I didn't care. So you did put the suit on, but you just didn't marry the minute. Yeah.

48:20And then, look, the day was great. And we had such a nice time. The wedding planner had beef with me the whole time, but that's a story for another day.

48:29Olivia Attwood:Give us a bit of the story. She didn't like me, I don't think. What do you think it was? Because you wanted to wear a Pope costume? I think she was under the impression that I wanted to steal the attention from the day. Right. But me and my family know each other, and they know that would never be the intention. I'm actually, I see myself more as like a jester. Like I was trying to make everyone feel at ease because I knew my mum was nervous. But yeah, she just didn't see it like that. She wasn't feeling your vibe. She wasn't feeling my vibe, but I'm not for everyone. You know what I mean? Marmite.

48:58I'm Marmite.

48:59Olivia Attwood:I love the idea of you having some passive aggressive like beef with the wedding planner. All day. Like was there little comments? All day. But when that happens to me, I just go super nice. If I'm really nice to you, just now I'm absolutely fuming at you. I'm like, oh, okay, you're being passive aggressive. Give me a second. Will I be aggressive? Yeah. I'm like, let me just cut through the bullshit. You know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah. But all in all, it was a phenomenal day. And they renewed their vows. Renewed their vows. So my mum actually wants to now... So my mum has been speaking about it every week since the wedding.

49:31And I get that. I've never been married, but I know it's a big thing for everyone. And I know, you know...

49:35Olivia Attwood:Yeah, you're dying out on the memory and the fun of it. Yeah. Exactly. She now wants to box frame her dress in the hallway. I don't... I hate box framing. Well, first off... it was a mannequin. Oh, God. And I... Lisa, that's terrifying. I know. And I said, what about something else? What about we snip a bit of material and put it in the guest book? Yeah, she's also had every single picture printed by Funky Pigeon on black and white in the hallway. Shout out Funky Pigeon. Honestly, I love it for her, but if there's one thing Lisa Bags loves, it's a black and white canvas. I wouldn't be surprised if your wedding photos were in there in black and white.

50:11Should we be taking them down now?

50:15Olivia Attwood:Oh my God. It's like a 3D canvas. Oh, they're huge. Yeah, yeah. Old chunky bad boy. You know what? Like 3D framing makes you think of like, you know, Hard Rock Cafe. You only have like all the like, oh, like, you know, Mick Jagger wore this shirt. It's like some crusty shirt in a box. Like it's just something about it gives me the itch. I did box frame something recently though. What was it? Well, to me, this is really cool, but it's one of the like ski masks that one of Beyonce's dancers wore. on the cowboy car tour. That's very cool. And it called. How did you get that? I'm not going to get someone into trouble, but I got it.

50:51Olivia Attwood:So you didn't like bid on it. Someone just got it for you. I got it. I got it. You got it. I got that. I'm obsessed. One thing about me, I love bit memorabilia. Okay. Okay. Who's your number one icon? Is it Beyonce? I'd say Beyonce. Yeah. I'd say I'd pretty much pass out. I got tears in my eyes listening to Julia Fox reek how mean Beyonce. say that's how like parasocial I am with it like I was imagining that feeling of her coming up to me and I'd like a tear streaming down so you if you met her you'd lose it well I just don't know I think I don't know what I do I think knees would go I think there'd be tears imagine that she just is like a guest on Britain's Got Talent yes let's get that going bring her backstage for a chat and you just lose all composure do you know what stranger things have happened she came out of Alexandra Burke on that X Factor final mate like anything can happen anything's possible Anything can happen.

51:43Olivia Attwood:I can never think of those shows without thinking of Nicole Scherzinger pulling the mic off of our boy. What's his fucking name? No, who did she pull the mic off? Oh, Jermaine Douglas. Yeah, she was like... But there was the most... Do you remember? It's like Christina Aguilera did a duet. Matt Cardell was Rihanna. What was going on with those record labels at the time? The budgets were stupid. I know, weren't they? We need to go back to that era. Are you going to attend a Pussycat Dolls show? Oh, of course I will be. I will be absolutely... I feel I will have to be I gave everyone a great performance of Push what was it?

52:18Olivia Attwood:Butch the button Push the button that's sugar babes isn't it? No Buttons Buttons Yeah yeah yeah Buttons at the strip club on Friday night at 5am Wow Yeah there was a karaoke It really is till death to us party then Yeah we've been I've been frying it down pretty hard Good as you should And we all the thing is everyone wants to go for karaoke with me and I have to and then when I wake up and I go did anyone else get a turn and all my friends are no what's the song what's your go to okay so it would be something Pussycat Dolls like Don'tcha would be up there then I would probably I can do a Tom the Kitten Hole again something a little bit like slower tempo nice my mum cut her finger open to that once I had to go to the neighbours when I was about 6 years old don't know she was cutting a carrot went for her finger I had to then go next door really cool memory for me because she made out like she was dying at the time I look back and I think that was not life threatening so she traumatised you yeah that's why you've got health anxiety that's why we think we're dying all the time that is fine Before I let you go, right, I want to play a little game.

53:13All right.

53:13Olivia Attwood:It's called Bags or Bullshit. So I read the statement. And then if you've done this, you say bags. If you've never done it, you say bullshit. And these are just like made up scenarios. So I don't know. Oh, are they? Yeah, they're not things like pulled off the internet. It's just like, I don't know. You might have done them. You might not. I can join in with you too if you want. You've muted an influencer that you know well in real life. Oh, bags. Must I say bags? Bags. Yeah, if you've done it. Muted. Yeah, yeah. So is that because they're jarring you, but you're friends with them, so you don't want to unfollow?

53:45I think in this job, right, you can really enjoy someone as a person, but just really not resonate with their content. And that's absolutely fine.

53:53Olivia Attwood:That's valid. I think it's valid. And vice versa. I'm sure I muted on a ton of people. I had someone I know follow me the other day, already followed me, and I thought, I know what you've done, because I do it. You've unmuted me, and you pressed unfollow. I know. I clocked it. let's just let it go untapped I got a message oh I don't know what happened there we know what happened we all know what happened we know what happened you know who you are and I know you'll be watching this hi

54:23Olivia Attwood:I'm obsessed you've done a TikTok with someone because you know it'd do well but you don't like them these are messy bags yes come on for the views you pretended not to see someone you know at an event. It's quite hard to do that, isn't it? I think, I don't think I have because you just know it's inevitable. I did go to like a washing detergent event once and it was very small, really small. It was an alternate, you know, it's like a basic glass fishbowl. And my ex was there from years, like first ever boyfriend. He's now like a celeb hairdresser, which is hilarious. And he was there, tell you afterwards.

55:02And then, and he avoided me like the plague in that room. There was not one moment where we were a meter apart. So he made sure he kept his distance. I would have been nice and said hi, but him and his husband made sure of it. Okay, interesting. So you've been avoided is what you want to say.

55:16Olivia Attwood:I've been avoided, yeah. Okay, so that one's bullshit. You've taken a job just because it's a good free trip. I feel like probably bullshit. It's quite hard with those things because it's like if you hated the brand, it's quite hard to go away with the brand and actually do the content. Yeah, I don't think I've ever done that because I'm always just like, you will be able to see in my eyes if I'm not happy. My manager tells me that all the time. You can see right through you. All the time. You've accidentally sent a risky message to the wrong person. I've definitely, bags, I've definitely sent screenshots like, and I backed someone before and then been like, oh.

55:57Olivia Attwood:Do you know what I've stopped doing is like now it's like I, Instagram's updating itself so fucking much. You know, if you, if I send someone's post, I now just WhatsApp it to people because I'm scaring myself that I'm going to send because I've do you ever get this it's from people I don't know ever it's like random followers they'll send me my own post write something mean I think oh that was meant for your friend they'll be like oh look at her hair or I don't like what she's wearing I'm not as famous as you but and I go I think maybe one day and I look I think maybe one day you'll be bullied on the internet maybe one day I'll get the hate sent to me yeah it's great up here and I was like and I look I think oh you meant so much your friend like oh it's an awkward one make me I would die yeah what if they I always think though if they knew that you saw it they'd be mortified because I genuinely think I've had things where they've deleted it and been like oh I'm sorry or they've never seen it yeah I think because we say things to our friends all the time that you wouldn't and also I promote I was saying people are mean on the internet I think well you know those people have no friends because I'm like bitch about me to your friends don't bitch about me to me like the internet's perverted the course of justice I'm not meant to hear this that's so true But I know you've got no pals, so you have to tell me, and I'm happy for the engagement.

57:08Olivia Attwood:A feature that should be deleted. WhatsApp statuses. I made a screenshot of my WhatsApp status once. Wait, is that when people can see you're active and all of that stuff? Yeah, but I've never seen someone... You can turn it off, right, though? I don't know. Someone messaged me going, Liv, your WhatsApp status is a random screenshot of some girl. Oh, I know. Sorry, you upload. It's like a story vibe on WhatsApp. And then I didn't know how I'd done it. So I was trying to find, to get my managers going to delete it. And I was like, I'm fucking trying. I don't even know how I did it. Do you know what?

57:42Mine's even weirder because I used to manage engineers on power plants. That was my old life when I had a normal job. And so all I have now is all of these random men, like all around the world. And I just click on it and it's like a turbine, a pipe, a helmet. Not that type. And yeah, I'm just like, wow, crazy. That's what my WhatsApp does. Okay.

58:01Olivia Attwood:See, I didn't even notice a thing. you've been annoyed by something someone in your family has posted oh my god bags bags bags bags i've told my mum office stuff she's posted before because i'm like it reflects on me as well like when you say something because also they're different generations and she's posting so i'm like that you need to delete that and she's like why i know why it's it's endearing like my mum her authenticity online is what people love and i love that hilarious but sometimes i'm like should we just think about someone doing your social media? Because it's like an obituary.

58:34There's every day there's like a dead person or a candle or like our dead dog. Do you know what I mean? Or it's like a pie and mash or a fish pie. And I just think to myself, mum, please. And then she goes, my engagement's going crazy this week. And you're like, people are traumatised, Lisa. I know, don't, don't.

58:54Olivia Attwood:Goes to someone after a date. I actually haven't because I used to be like a proper beg but I've been ghosted. Oh my God. I used to be a proper beg? So you were the one asking for like a second date and they're like... I took it well bad when I got ghosted once. I actually got ghosted by a guy because I got so pissed that I put him on my back and I dropped him and hit the pavement. I've got a scar on my arm still. The other day I'm outside the pod studio. He walks past me. I thought I'm not going to say anything. It's a bit weird, isn't it? Well, after you dropped him on his back And he ghosted me.

59:26But the last message before ghosting me was, oh, you got fake tan all in my bed. If that's the reason why you ghosted me, grow up and bust and vanish.

59:34Olivia Attwood:I'm sorry. That is the lamest thing. It washes out. Change your sheets, bro. Oh, and blood. But that was really hard. I was going to say same, but I think it's different.

59:47Olivia Attwood:Call someone out on your podcast and then they've called you out for calling them out. Have you ever said something about a pod and then someone's gone, and I heard you. Yeah, yeah. We brought up the name early, but I definitely at one point said something about someone and then they come up to me at Brit's after party and she was, just gave me a look up and down. I thought, whatever. The game's the game. Who was it? I can't. Because if I say. It restarts it. If I say, one, it restarts it. And I know she's got a relish in the fact that I've, I've already dropped the, you now know it's a she, so great.

1:00:19But yeah, you know what I mean? I don't want to, I don't want to give that.

1:00:21Olivia Attwood:People take things way too personally. They do. but I've learned I've grown and I'm not that messy anymore so you're a little bit more cautious yeah I think so do you know what it is I learnt this and it's always stayed with me it's about the action not the person I had someone who was from my So Wrong It's Right podcast who was like there was a conversation where someone told a story they didn't name the person the story but a lot of people figured it out and then she was going around going that fucking podcast but she never said anything to me right okay But she said to a lot of people around, you know, the situation.

1:00:56Olivia Attwood:If you have a problem with something someone's done, I think that's fine. I was like, why do you know we're talking about you? We never named anyone. You just incriminated yourself, girl. I wouldn't be owning up to that story. It was awful. I'd be going, God, what an arsehole. What were they talking about? I wouldn't be like, that was me. That was me. That has happened in the past with someone where I witnessed a Love Island couple, everyone will know this anyway, on a trip. And one of them was like acting a certain way. And it all came out in the press. and because she admitted or she like said oh that's about me I thought you could have just said nothing well you need to put yourself into it yeah yeah but oh Jo I don't want this to end neither do I oh my god do you know what you should do next go on come on yeah I'm going I'm going don't want it to end come over to Not My Bag she's like he's like what are you doing now got any plans before you go give me a guest list suggestion who shall have in the chair oh right well I saw someone actually comment on your thing the other day saying you need Brie on from Selling Sunset and I think she I think you guys would be amazing together okay but on top of that my mum okay I want Lisa oh my god my mum so my mum's such a big fan of you that her first NTAs I remember she was like nudging me and she was like that's Olivia Atwood that's Olivia Atwood and she said something to you about sage did you have you ever sage your house a lot yeah I think she was like I'm gonna go out to her and talk about a sage the devils keep finding me it's not working and it's not strong enough I sage all the time I need to stick this sage up my butt.

1:02:23Olivia Attwood:Like, it's not enough. I've got the evil eye thing everywhere these fuckers keep getting through. Yeah, I do. So, okay, fine. So, Lisa or Brie? Brie, I love. Yeah, I think... And who should we ban? Who's on the no entry? No entry. Anyone that was in the Manosphere doc aside Louis Theroux. Fine. I know you've probably had that before, but I hate that shit. No, that's a good one. That's good. What I stand by this, if you listen to it, I'd love to have Tiki Toki here just to grill him in front of my audience of women and see if he could handle the heat. Oh, I like that. Do you know what I mean? Can you handle the heat?

1:02:58Olivia Attwood:But I just, I also fear that it's actually, it's so not funny, like, right? But I feel like I wouldn't be able to take it serious because I actually think, have you seen the guy impersonating him? With the cap on? I got my brother to do it. I got him to put a ball cap on and paint on a little beard and sit on my mum's lap. It's absolutely just, It's a different world, isn't it? It's a different world. And it's not funny. These poor young boys out there that think that that's aspirational. It's scary. It's scary. It's scary. On a profound note. Yeah, let's leave it there. Very serious. It's a very serious podcast now.

1:03:34Olivia Attwood:Guys, it's been a fucking joy to have you in the house. Thank you. It is Joe Bags, everyone. Thank you.
