In short

Olivia Atwood returns to “Olivia’s House” after a few-week absence, updates on work and travel, discusses healing after a breakup and managing psoriasis, and shares relationship “hard launch” hot takes with partner Pete Wicks. She also answers listener questions about infidelity, gives life advice for 20-year-olds, and reads kindness letters from listeners (sponsored segments include Garnier root retouch, Honey Love bras, Shopify, Medi-K8 skincare, Cadbury, etc.).

Guests

Pete Wicks (Olivia’s boyfriend; reality TV/TOWIE background) appears as the main subject of discussion, but he is not physically present in this episode. No other guest appears on-mic; Olivia says she may invite her sister (endometriosis) and possibly Pete for a future episode.

Guest backgrounds

Pete is a long-time friend from TOWIE era; Olivia describes him as affectionate, domesticated, and integrated into her friendship group.

Key claims

“Hard launch” should come from the man first; healing requires “doing the work” and not suppressing feelings; cheating “isn’t about you” (it reflects the cheater’s morals/self-control); social media posting creates pressure but boundaries matter.

Notable examples

Olivia’s “crash out” internet moment after breakup; Saint-Tropez trip with sister Georgia and brother-in-law Oscar; Pete’s first Instagram “hard launch” and Olivia’s planned posting timing; listener stories about friend check-ins, neighbor lasagna for new parents, and a letter praising Olivia’s authenticity.

2:25Some people are genuinely wired that way. It doesn't necessarily mean that you weren't loved. Do not be loud about a man who's loud about you. Like, all they kept saying is hard launch, hard rockets were going for. I thought, oh my God, are we going to war? Like, what the hell's going on? The way people have, like, been excited for us, but it's, like, actually, like, very, like, heartwarming. Like, I obviously think he's, like, the most handsome, gorgeous man, but when I see... When I see this, I honestly have to swipe. Last week, you posted a screenshot of someone saying, you are the love of my life.

3:03Oh. Hmm.

3:12Hi, dolls. Welcome back to Olivia's house with your host for today, myself, Olivia. I can only apologize for my absence it's only been a few weeks guys but the way my dms have been coming in I actually felt like I abandoned my children I'm so sorry you know what the problem is as good as AI is with like clone sheep and stuff I don't have a clone yet and sometimes I literally physically can't be in two places at once which I know might be surprising some of you because I do a pretty good job with most of the time but it was just one of those times I yeah I couldn't be here but I'm back and I'm not going anywhere for the foreseeable future.

3:51So get comfy, get your glam going, get a coffee in front of you, get a Savannah in front of you and let's unpack what's been going on. Right, so before we start, we'll leave something at the door. This is my house after all, the house rules, I should follow them too. And I was just saying to my team, it was kind of aptly timed because as I came into the studio this morning, I was freshly aggravated. I am leaving at the door and this is not fair on the good ones, but I'm going to cast you all under the same hood. Uber drivers, Addison Lee drivers, Crawford's drivers. There's some good ones, but you're all getting put under one hood now.

4:31Black cabbies, you're safe, you're elite, you're in a category of your own. I've had so many bad Uber driving recently and girls, boys, like let's be so fucking real i'm an exec or a lux that there's no comfort also who the fuck's decided to choose the name comfort for the lower quality uber there's nothing comfortable about it it's such a head fuck but anyway you put these ubers in london the surge charges they're so expensive i've been that many these drivers are driving like they have 10 lives maybe they do but i know for a fact the way i've lived, I don't have any left. Like I'm living on, I'm living on a tightrope.

5:13So you're not indicating, you're cutting people up, you're, my heart rate is through the roof. I'm already very stressed out, Queen, as it is. I'm covered in psoriasis at the minute. I'm pulling my hair out in chunks. I don't want to get in your car and feel like I'm on the Dakar Valley. Do you know what I mean? It's just not what I signed up for. So I'd like all the drivers in London just to chill out. Because also, you being stressed about traffic, like, I get it. London is a hell hole. But it's literally your job to kind of navigate the traffic. You huffing and puffing and slamming on the brakes.

5:44I'm in the back of your car doing a Zoom call. It's not it. So I'd like the drivers of London to have a word with themselves, please. Now, in the time that I've been gone, I've been working, shock. I've been filming some campaigns. I've been working behind the scenes tirelessly on Savano trying to and successfully negotiating some deals to get Savano into more stores so they will be much more readily available to you guys I know that a lot of you are hating how sold out it is all the time I'm loving it sold out because it means that you love it but I want it to be more widely available but yeah I had a couple of work things and then I went to Saint-Tropez you might have seen it's my third time going to Saint-Tropez this summer sorry about me I'm such a Euro summer queen and we went back because uh the last time at Sanche pay my sister and my brother-in-law were meant to come and meet me and pete but my sister got rushed in for a last minute endometriosis operation this will be like her fourth operation so fucking shit for her I'm gonna get her on the pod because I know that loads of you have suffered with female health problems and her story is like really quite remarkable um so we're gonna have her on the pod to discuss it in more detail but anyway she couldn't join us on the trip so I promised her that if we could make it work that we would come back out to Saint-Chape and see Oscar and that's my brother-in-law and my sister Georgia so that's what we did Pete and I went out and met them for three days um so we're there I'm gonna do a little bit of unpack I guess I had a um I guess the last time I was really here was around the time when I was kind of like crashing out on the internet okay right threatening the internet with screenshots.

7:27There's two things. My friend Ashley sent me this meme the other day, this guy saying, you know, once in a while you have to crash out on the internet just so people know not to fuck with you. And I stand by that. Okay. I'm embarrassed. I was reacting. And yeah, I just want to remind people that even though I am a highly respected, esteemed broadcaster and journalist and podcast presenter, I will get down the mud with you. I'm the wrong one. So I had a day. I went on the internet. I didn't post the screenshots because actually I'm better than that, much to much of your dismay. I am better than that.

8:04And that just takes it to a whole new level. I went out with my friend. We got drunk. I bought a pair of green Louboutins. How relatable. That was my crash out purchase. I know, such a relatable queen. And then, yeah, I think I realized after that that where it's been a while since well it's been seven eight months since the breakup there was a lot of loose ends a lot of dots were connected that I think were not connected to me for a while and it just all came over me and I think of what I did was I've which I think a lot of people who go through change in life can relate to this you go one way the other right you either go straight into dealing with it processing it like doing all the work because I just think that you can actually what I've realized now because I tried you can never cheat doing the work so whether that's like you leaving a job or you're moving house or you have a breakup or you fall out with a friend or you have like a bereavement if you don't do the work like it will literally like it will eat you up like it was like coming out of my body like I was like covered in so I'm still covered in psoriasis I was like you know I was not sleeping well but I was functioning a really high level like I was filming I was doing all my businesses my podcast but inside what I realized is like I hadn't I hadn't drawn a line under that chapter in my life and I hadn't done I hadn't processed stuff so I spent a bit of time spoke to my therapist a little bit and I was like I'm just need to like kind of bring all this stuff to the surface and like kind of cry it out a little bit and stop pushing it down because it's not going to go anywhere like I tried for seven months so I just had to face a few realities even though they were uncomfortable realities it it was work that had to be done I would say that I'm better and people would say to me like oh my god you're so happy you look so happy and what I say is that I think I'm still processing a lot of stuff but there is so much happiness in my life and so I have a lot to be happy about and I just have to kind of take the like the good days with the bad days at the moment a little bit and but we'll talk more about those good days in a short moment well actually no lucy you asked me some questions that's all about the good days san trapez is always a good day central pays yeah talk me through so it's you pete your sister and oscar okay yeah so it's me pete sister brother-in-law we um my brother-in-law has a family home in san trapez um so they were out there for like a period of time we said we'll go back out because my sister was devastated that she missed that trip obviously for being ill and i feel like she you know she has that feeling that She's missed out on quite a few things over the last five years through endometriosis.

10:39And I know a lot of people that suffer from chronic disease or illness can relate to that feeling of like missing out. So even though we didn't really have it, but I said to Pete, like, can we just find some time to go out there? Because it will mean the world to her. So we go out. George and Oscar were obviously like really, really keen for us to stay in the house with them. Of course, gorgeous house. What a lovely offer. We are not people you want to share a house with, okay? Like, that's what I'm going to say. There's two reasons. For the sake of being a lady and trying to be more respectful, we're in a new relationship.

11:19Okay? Everyone's giggling at, do you know what I mean? I want to share a house with us. I really, I wouldn't even let us stay in my shed. There's that. Not glamorizing, actually saying this to out him because I want him to cut down. Pete smokes 500 cigarettes a day. Like he's on a balcony or on a patio from five all through the night. It's just, you know, we're not like that, the smoking, the, you know, the new relationship stuff. The I'm OCD. I hate sharing my space with people. I like, we're just not. So I said to Georgia, I was like, we're going to go in a hotel because it's better for us. And it's, trust me, it's better for you.

11:59But anyway, it was just a really fun trip. like as you saw from my socials my sister and I really in personality are very different um we're kind of like yin and yang like I am classic type a control freak anxious just up the wall but then when I go out party like I'm wild whereas my sister is like this high-powered like super successful business girly corporate girly all the stuff she's achieved in her you know 32 two years is like insane but she's more type b she's kind of like she's kind of quietly confident everything will sort itself out she just kind of chucks all her makeup in the sink doesn't care about things being in order doesn't doesn't stress her out she doesn't waste her time on stuff like that and then she is so much fun to go out with but i said the difference is like she just knows when she's done whereas i'm never done like until they someone literally like cuts the music and escorts me from the premises i'm not done but together when we're on the same vibe we are like having it off so my brother-in-law and p i mean to be fair two of the coolest men you'll meet because they were just like doing all our videos first we're dancing on the table at verdi we're like at the opera like dancing putting on a show then we even had them up dancing and it was just lovely and obviously god bless my brother-in-law because i am like their i'm their child they're younger than me and i'm the child um they met at school they've been together for literally a hundred years and I've obviously had quite a few relationships in that time so Oscar is such a nice guy he always tries to find common ground with whichever boyfriend I've had at any time and sometimes there is no common ground at all so I'm just like right but you know also it shows the kind of man you are if you can just try and like make a connection with anyone but I mean him and Pete hit it off like they were honestly like fast friends it was very sweet and I think that is the the best combo I've had over all the years and my sister love her to death but this girl hates everyone like honestly her list of ops is never ending so I I knew that she liked Pete because she you know Pete's been in my life for around 10 years and we've crossed over events he's been at my events my parties my sisters met him she spoke so I knew she liked him I knew she liked his vibe we've been on a few nights out together um but that was obviously the most intense time we spent together and to pass the Georgia outward test it's very very serious stuff but yeah we had we had a ball and I've just been having you know like I said I this is a really weird my life was like it's really weird paradox I don't know if anyone that's ever lived through a stage of life like this it's like I can say since January I have cried more since January than I have ever in my entire life probably including being an infant but I've also laughed more so it's like it's been like it's been a seven months of like two ends of the spectrum it's like like this I've laughed like to the point like I felt so much joy I feel like I feel I'm getting so much joy out of life while also going through a shit time at times but it was yeah it was so much fun

16:14That does lead us quite nicely on to Pete, because we actually haven't seen you since the hard launch, Pete's hard launch. However, less than 24 hours before we're filming this, Miss Olivia Atwood has hard launched Pete. How exciting. Oh, my God, who am I? I'm posting a boy. We just got a fire beater. we'd been talking like we've been obviously seeing each other for like a little while and we have all these lovely pictures with each other that like people like grace and our friends have taken of us and we're like my god that's such a gram worthy picture but like we i don't know it's just one of those things it's like we've been papped together so many times but there's something about in the 21st century like posting someone on your page feels so much more i don't know it feels so intentional it feels like it carries so much more weight behind it i feel like you're making such a it's so dumb isn't it it's a photo on a little square on the internet that you could delete tomorrow but it just feels big especially when both got a platform with like five million instagram followers combined like it just feels a lot so um so where were you when pete did his post we've been talking about so my rule of thumb girlies i've joked about it on here but i've always like look take relationship advice from me at your fucking peril that's what i say because some things have gone well some things have not gone so well but one of my things i've always been really um strict about since i can even remember social media is like do not be loud about a man who's loud about you like no posting men before they post you no parading him around like that has to come from him first i'm very very very passionately about that so we've been talking on holiday and he was like oh it's a shame that we like don't post or whatever and I was like I said you can post and he was like well what about you and I was like well I will I said but like if you want to post post bear in mind this man has never posted a picture of a girl on his Instagram ever since maybe his girlfriend from TOWIE days like literally the last girlfriend he had was Megan when he was on TOWIE and I think she would have been on his Instagram he's not posted this is like we're talking like well over a decade so it's not just like a guy that's like comfortable doing this like he was in very uncharted territory and I was like so you post if you want to I'd obviously love that I think it's very sweet but like no pressure like just do whatever you want to do like I'm chill and then I was on um this it sounds random as hell but I was hosting a TikTok live shopping event in association with Love Island so I'm hosting to like an audience of like you know I don't know a couple of thousand people I've got people with me in the studio I've got an earpiece in and I'm doing this like live feed reading off like the pieces and then the the chat on the other screen where it's like people are commenting and asking like is this for sale all they kept saying is hard launch hard and rockets were going for I thought oh my god are we going to war like what the hell's going on literally it was distracting me so much I was trying to stay focused on the job in hand and then yeah when I got off the stage my team were like Pete's just posted you on Instagram and then I mean honestly not intentionally but I just thought like let him have his moment like for a minute I was like let him have his moment I don't need to like let him let him have his moment in the sun like I don't need to like rush out there and post today because he's posted like let him just kind of think but then I guess my Instagram is like you know it's a big part of who I am and like there's always a plan there's always a you know a collaboration going up or I've been on a night out and the weeks were going past and I had posts planned and then it kind of started turning into a bit of a running joke like when I I was posting pictures from nights out or whatever.

19:48I was like, where's Pete? This is so unfair. And I was thinking, okay, well, that has been a minute. And then anyway, yesterday we were hanging out at the apartment and I'd had it drafted. I was like ready to go. I thought I finally got a gap in my schedule, in my posting schedule to post him. Like, guys, come on. Like, you know the score. If anyone's into Instagram, it's not going to be on a Friday night because they tank. Saturday is weird. Like, it's got to be a weeknight. It's got to be in that prime time between six and nine. There's those things, you know, come on. Like, it's those things that go into this.

20:17Like, let's not act like it's all just, like, off the cuff. Get it, ain't. Anyway, so he was at mine yesterday. He was on the balcony, and I was in the kitchen. I posted. And he was scrolling his phone, and he was so sweet. He, like, spun his head around. He was, like, looking at the window. He was like... I was, like, really cute. He was, like, really made up with it. And then I have to say, maybe because I'm in it, like, how lovely has everyone been? I don't know if I've ever seen a reaction to a couple posts like that. The way people have been excited for us, it's actually very heartwarming.

20:53And a lot of people are like, I'm in Sainsbury's crying. People I don't know, you've made my whole week. I'm like, oh my God, this actually really matters to people. It's so sweet. The reception to that post and Pete's post has been incredible. And everyone is so invested in both of your happiness, which is lovely. But when you see comments from Mark, your sister, your mum, like sister approved, your mum did one about welcome to the family mark says the happiest he's ever been any couple ever how does that feel like the people closest to you i feel it's lovely like it is so nice that they i know what i see in him i know what i feel about him but it's so nice that they feel that way also and you know he's an amazing person he doesn't have to do much but he has made such an effort like with all of my friends and family and you know he came into my life and it was like he just slotted into my friendship group it's like my friends are pretty full-on like you know not not not all straight dudes want to hang around with like four gay men and a bunch of girls and we're all like completely and utterly clinically insane like he just very much takes it in his stride and then he wants he never you know I've quite an open door policy at my apartment and you know my friends are coming and going and he is all for it and I think that makes a huge difference I think that he's become part of our group part of our family and my friends feel that they feel that effort from him um I think it goes a long way yeah definitely everyone's so invested in it do you think that adds a pressure to it at all to make it work I think that obviously we tried and failed to an extent because of paparazzi and people taking sneaky photos on their phones that we tried to keep this under wraps as long as possible for the reason of like you know let's let's try and reduce the pressure on us for as long as we can and the outside commentary and all the rest of it um but then it got to a point of like you reach a point where it goes oh now we're working harder so like for example for me to not talk about him in the pod or not or or there's a lovely photo that he's in but do I post it because it opens it so we almost found like we got ourselves into a juxtaposition we're like are we actually making our lives more hard by trying to you know but I think there's a way that look we both come from reality tv backgrounds right he's like we're it's like the ultimate reality tv crossover if you're a reality tv fan you know our lives have moved on quite a lot the way pete establishes himself in the his relationship with the media and i think he's he now wants more privacy probably than i'm probably more open my audience like my audience online i tell them everything here olivia's house it's an open book so i think we have to respect each other's boundaries but i've also seen him being a lot more open than he's ever been so i'm kind of thinking like if you're comfortable i'm comfortable but yeah there there's a there's a there's an element of pressure there's an element of um me wanting to protect myself and and and i i've been burned over the years multiple times you know by friends by partners like of course when this relationship evolved me and pete it was like there was a there was a kind of push back and forth for i guess a period of time where i was kind of maybe be keeping him at bay and keeping my wall up because I'm like oh but what if oh but what if but also I am who I am my core is like I love love like I love being in love I think like love is like there's nothing better on this planet ever and I also just think we never know how long we're going to have here so you know people can have their opinions about you know new relationships old relationships timelines whatever but you don't know how long you've ever got so it's like if you find something that feels special I would rather embrace it than deny myself like that happiness I mean none of us know what's going to happen like no like we really don't like you can try and do your work to protect yourself as best you can and you can try and vet situations out but look there's people that are married 50 years they get blindsided like there's people that meet they have a shotgun wedding three weeks later and they stay together the rest of their lives I I really genuinely don't believe there is a formula that is foolproof.

25:19So I've kind of got to the point of it now. I'm like, let's enjoy it. I want our audiences, our communities to be as part of it on our terms. So it's like, we want to share this with you, but also we have to have an element that is ours. And what we share with everyone will be what we decide to share with between us. Nice. Do you remember the moment where you thought, shit, we're not just friends?

25:49Yeah, yeah, probably. And what I wonder actually, because I don't know if you had this conversation, if it was around the same time. I think he needs to come here and we should answer that question together. Do you think? Yes. Yeah, that might be nice because this is the next thing, guys. And I need, actually, Olivia's house members, we need your help, don't we, guys? because obviously it now feels like we're getting to the point where like I would it would be cool it would make sense for Pete to come in my pod would make sense for me to go on his obviously he should come here first agreed agreed he and Sam of course want me to go over there first dolls have you seen the lighting like at staying relevant okay it's a successful podcast they smash it the relevanters are loyal to fuck but there's two men and you know that studio is lit by men.

26:42It's lit like B &Q. I am 35 years old. I cannot sit under those fluorescent lights. This is soft, beautiful, sexy lighting. So I need you to basically harass StangVelomit in the comments and Pete and Sam that this is the podcast the first conversation happens in. Do it. I will deliver. I said, obviously, I'm not going to hard launch first. I'm not posting before he posts. And now in a similar sort of style, I'm not going on his podcast until he comes to mind. So babe, do you want to come on Olivia's house?

27:19Hi dolls, we need to talk about skincare. If you're anything like me, you've probably spent years trying a million different serums and creams, hoping for something that will actually give you real visible results. For the longest time, my routine has felt overly complicated with too many options and too many steps. But recently, I started using Medicaid and it's completely changed my skincare routine. In the morning, I use the award-winning Liquid Peptides Advanced MP. It's Medicaid's Breakthrough Peptide Serum and it's clinically proven to visibly diminish expression lines in just 10 minutes.

27:55The texture of this serum is incredible. It sinks right into the skin without feeling sticky at all and immediately makes my face look so plump and hydrated. And then in the evening, my go-to is the Crystal Retinale. If you've been nervous about trying a Retinale or a Vitamin A before, this is the one to get. Medi-Kate offer a range of strengths for everyone, from very sensitive skins to expert users, so you can ladder up to your visible age-defying results over time. It's clinically proven to smooth, stubborn wrinkles, decongest and firm your skin without irritation. It's super gentle and the morning after I first used it, my skin felt smoother and look noticeably brighter straight away.

28:33For me, I love that all their projects are dermatologists recommended and undergo rigorous clinical testing, so you can really trust what you're putting on your skin. If you want to upgrade your skincare routine and see real results, go to medik8.com. That's M-E-D-I-K-8.com. Trust me, your skin will thank you.

28:57And then I think we should have Sam here and we can just talk about pee. Yes. There's a whole thing on Staying Relevant with the listeners where they, the listeners and I think his Staying Relevant team believe that he's not a real person. Like they crack up laughing at the idea of him like internet shopping or like going home and like relaxing on the sofa or like, you know, cooking some dinner. So I think where he was a bachelor for like eternity, I think that the situation at his bachelor pad is like, yeah, there's nothing in the fridge. There's nothing in the drawers. He used to sit on the sofa in jeans, but I feel like he's a house cat who I'm like breaking in.

29:33I'm domesticating him. He has house joggers now. He has little like PJ bottom situation that we do. Like he, you know, he does a little bedtime routine with me. I do like, I try and get him a moisturizer on before bed. I haven't been successful yet. But like, he's becoming much more domesticated. It's lovely to see. He does all the things that normal humans do. He eats, like he goes to the toilet, goes to the toilet between the toilet behind three doors so it's like i couldn't possibly get to him um what else he did normal people do uh he shops yeah he's like fully functioning human is there anything that you think would shock people to know about pete privately i don't know if it would shock people or not or maybe it would actually come to us he's so affectionate like he is like he's very very very affectionate very very loving like he's like a little koala bear like he's when we're at home he's attached to me but how do you fare with that because you're not a touchy figure it's the weirdest thing because like he knew that tough like physical touch has not been a love language as I still wouldn't say it's my love language just say acts of service is my love language people doing things about me having to ask them it's my love language but I don't know I I think because I don't know I think it's because it's him I think I'm okay it's okay it doesn't annoy me at all I know and I also think that he's he's kind of been he's got such a hard exterior so almost I feel like when he's like showing me like softness I don't want to scare it away so I try and like be really still because I don't want to freak him back into like tough guy mode

31:17you said earlier that your algorithm is completely covered with peak contents can you what can you tell us about that my algorithm is polluted Pete Wicks it's TikTok mainly do you know what's weird right because obviously I've known Pete for like nearly a decade we was on TOWIE together we've been friends you know during that time so it's so weird because it's like I know so much about him some so basically my my TikTok feeds me clips it feeds me clips of him on TOWIE and sometimes there was stuff I was there for and it's quite funny and nostalgic to watch and then other times it's stuff that I wasn't involved in it's like very power social way to exist to see your like a video come up of your boyfriend with his ex-girlfriend it's just weird like it just it's weird I'm looking I'm like I don't like know that person it's so odd and then the other one I get quite a lot of is oh this is so mean he won't even care me saying like I obviously think he's like the most handsome gorgeous man but when I see

32:16when I see Strictly come dancing I honestly have to swipe so I don't even like I don't I don't some people might find that like men dancing sexy like that is just not my thing like when I see it I go like I because I don't want to get the ick off my boy like I just I don't want to watch him like trying to dance in like spandex I just like the body suits like it's just not like that Like he's swamp daddy in my eyes. I don't want to see him in PVC. I don't want to ruin my vision. I can't. I'm so glad he got to do that before he met me because I don't think I could have handled it. Would you have been there every week?

32:57Guys, I'm Taurus. I'm quite jealous. There's no one wrapping their arms around my man's neck. I'm sorry. I know it's a dance, it's performance. It just ain't happening. Let's go on a break then. and I'll go to Vegas and wrap myself around like the men from Thunder Down Under and I'll call it a show. Like I just, I am woman enough to admit that I would not like it. And I would never, and also I take my career so seriously. That is my first true love. So if someone, I had a partner said, I want to do this show, I would never say don't do it because I think that you've got to make hay where the sun shines.

33:35I'd be like, do it, but I'm going to have to, I'm going to have to be away for a little while because when they do the pretend to kiss thing at the end and I know I'm immature like imagine you have a husband or a wife that's an actor you're sitting in front row and watching a girl who's just doing her job, she's a dancer she's a professional performer pretending to lean into lips your man I'm throwing a chair like straight up like I have no chair I can't do it there's no way there's no way No worries. At least you're honest. Yep. Final thing before we move on to some questions that the dolls have sent in for you.

34:15I do want to touch on your recent Instagram stories. Last week, you posted a screenshot of someone saying, you are the love of my life. Oh. Hmm. Hmm. I thought it looked really, like, artistic. I was drunk. and the next morning I said, was that all right that I posted that? It's a bit late now. That was from a new nickname, me and my sister, I'm soft trialling for pee, it's Pee Wee. That was from Pee Wee. And did Pee Wee get a response? Yeah, but I don't know what it was because like I said, I was quite drunk.

35:04But it was very sweet. We'll get Pee Wee here to answer for himself. Let's put Pee Wee in the hot seat. I don't want to answer for him.

35:15This episode is brought to you by Cadbury Dairy Milk and their campaign, There's a Glass and a Half in Everyone. This campaign is a special one because it's all about celebrating the little acts of kindness that people do every single day. And let's be honest, with all the doom and gloom we're constantly scrolling through, it's quite nice to remind that people can make others smile with the littlest things. So we asked you dolls to tell us about those little moments that have made a difference for you. It could be your friend turning up your usual coffee because they know you've had a nightmare every week, being sent flowers for no real reason, or just those tiny gestures that end up meaning way more than people realize.

35:51Shall we get into it? Let's read the first one. Dear Olivia, my best friend never lets me get away without sending her a text when I'm home. It sounds so simple, but every single time I send that home message, I'm reminded how lucky I am to have someone who cares that much. Love Jess. Oh, I do like that one. And that actually reminds me of me and my friends because we do do that. Any friend that leaves me is like going on public transport in a cab. I'm always like, text me the Uber's license plate, text when you get in, especially if they're walking. I do think it's like a very girl core thing to do.

36:23And it is a very sweet thing. I think when a friend requests it, but then also like, you know, when the friend actually does it, because I've got some naughty friends that sometimes don't do it. And then I'm like, hello, did you make it home? They're like, oh yeah, sorry, I've been in for an hour. So I think that is a real, like, that's a real true show of like girl friendship. Dear Olivia, when we brought home our newborn, one of our neighbours quietly left a homemade lasagna on the doorstep with a little note that said, no need to answer the door, just one less thing to think about. In those first exhausting days of no sleeping, trying to find our feet as new parents, it meant more than they'll probably ever know.

36:58Love, Sarah. That's so sweet. Because what I like about that is that is no obligation. because also, I mean, I'm not a parent, so I can't imagine the levels of sleep deprivation that occur. But it's that thing that you don't have to engage with someone or make small talk. Like they know you're in the trenches, you've got that newborn, you're absolutely up to your eyeballs. And for one thing, the next couple of days, you have to think about what you're going to have for dinner. And you don't even have to do the small talk at the doorstep. Perfect. I think that's like my favorite one yet. I hope they're a good cook though.

37:35okay and last but not least final envelope please it's got my name on it it's even got this gorgeous little like little milk glasses little cabri logo it's very official i feel like royalty okay let's open this bad boy up oh this is a long one dear olivia if this letter somehow finds its way into your hands and even more unbelievably gets read out, then I've already won. Oh, so I say thank you, not because you've solved all my problems or because I think you're perfect, because you're refreshingly unapologetically yourself. No, my God. Life can feel heavy sometimes, seeing juggling work, raising two energetic boys, trying to keep everyone else happy and remembering who you are underneath it all.

38:20It's easy to forget to laugh and somehow every time I watch or listen to you, I do. You have this rare gift of saying exactly what everyone else is thinking, but doesn't have the confidence to admit it. You're funny. Oh my God, it's making me embarrassed. You're funny without trying too hard. Glamorous without pretending life is flawless and honest in a way that's become surprisingly uncommon. I think what I'm most grateful for is that you've reminded me it's okay to be ambitious and feminine, to love fashion, to have a laugh at yourself and still be taken seriously. You make authenticity effortless even though I'm sure it isn't.

38:50So thank you for the laughs. I've needed more than you know for making the mundane bits of life a little bit brighter and for proving that personality will always outshine perfection. If this gets read out, my boys will probably roll the rise and ask who is Olivia Atwood. You need to educate them. One day they'll understand that sometimes complete strangers can make your world a little bit lighter, simply showing up exactly as themselves. Thank you for lifting so many people up even when you don't realize you're doing it. Depths. That's so lovely. Oh my gosh, I don't even know what to say. I feel like it's a complete privilege to get to do this as quote unquote work.

39:28And to know it brings people joy and light relief and me making light of my sometimes glam, but sometimes utterly tragic life makes you feel less alone is just the reason that I'm in this industry. And I'm absolutely, I'm completely honored to receive this letter. Thank you so much. And on that note, I will be guessing you'll be giving your sons a swift education on the history of Olivia Atwood. It's quite a short one, so it won't take long. But thank you so much. I'm genuinely absolutely moved by your words. And yeah, thank you for being an Olivia's House member. And I hope to bring you many more hours of escapism with my crazy stories for years to come.

40:08I feel so grateful for all the Olivia's House members. I love you. Well, that's all the entries for today. And I'm very touched. I just want to say a massive thank you to Cadbury for sponsoring Olivia's House. Cadbury, there's a glass and a half in everyone.

40:27okay let's move on to some questions from the dolls okay so i threw up onto my instagram story the other day um q a said ask me anything i've been away for a minute let's catch up now i hope that i posted pete that now i'm worried well i'm worried guys i'm worried okay because also like let's remember how we do things around here nothing's changed you know it's olivia's house I'm the A storyline okay it's Olivia's Instagram A storyline so you've seen Pete now right because before I was getting heckled show us Pete right but now let me make it about myself again because we can't have the relationship becoming like the whole plot it's a part of the plot very important part but like I'm going to indulge you today okay but next solo is all about me.

41:17Now, I'm going to wade through these as best I can because they are so Pete heavy. Like, guys, you don't want any mystery in your lives, do you? You would literally be in bed with us if you had a choice. You want to know what underwear he's wearing. You want to know what we eat for dinner. And a lot of them will request for me to post him. But I post him now saying, get the fuck off my back. All right. Right. Let's go through and see. Okay. So the question was like, doing a solo episode soon what you want to know kind of vibes my mum wrote in literally no context just wrote yeah mom yeah mom what

41:59my mum is not a real person the other day I'm having a quite stressful day she messaged me hi there hey you're not too busy today please please please please please can you ask your guy at Hermes for a large black birkin for me don't worry I'll pay for it fucking right you will stupid cow anyway um so yeah mom I think she might be asking to come on the pod let's see if we can pin her down guys for an episode she's she's had a busier summer than me uh a lot of these guys and I'll try and give you a try and give you some words of wisdom stuff that I've learned in therapy and thinking this and just like please fucking press take a day off like any answer I give I'm not hitting out to anyone these are generalized answers because I want to be able to like talk to my girls and gays and boys in my community like so just yeah they will still will pull it out but that's my tagline a lot a lot of dms here so there's a few like this someone's written to me saying found out my partner cheated on me with the same woman several times in a year what do I do how do I move on there's a lot like that like I over my life dealing with infidelity or dealing with being cheated on is something that I've navigated differently over over time and I think that during this this last six seven months I've definitely gone through different versions with it this is the most I feel top line when people just say it to me it didn't help me at all until it clicks.

43:36Being cheated on is not about you. And that is like the only way that I can really get it into anyone's head. Like it is about you in the sense that you feel it, the pain, the betrayal, but no one cheats on someone, I don't think, unless it's a revenge case to hurt someone. People cheat because they have, you know, lacks morals, lack self-control some people are genuinely wired that way and I actually have I'm of the belief and people disagree with me that it doesn't necessarily mean that you weren't loved or the relationship wasn't real I think some people they can love someone but they are operating to the highest they can as the person they are or as they can at that time I think some people cheat once in their life and it's the biggest mistake they've ever made they learn from it it haunts them forever I think other people are programmed slightly differently.

44:31Their moral compass, their self-control levels are set differently. It doesn't mean, I don't think, me personally, it doesn't mean they didn't love you. I think what you have to understand is that the way they're capable of loving you is not enough for you, right? And I know people in open relationships, they love each other. And the way they love each other and show up for each other is completely in a way that I could never relate to. so I think as you're an adult it's all about finding out what are what can you what is being loved to you like what does what does true love feel like and that person they may love you but not in the way you need to be loved what's hard is that obviously in a lot of relationships especially early days people will sell you the version of themselves that they think you want and probably because it's the version of themselves they actually want to be but have they got the tools to be that person, maybe not.

45:26But yeah, there's something, it's quite generalized, but it's something that helped me quite a lot. It's never about you. And you have to, like I said at the beginning of this episode, you can't suppress it. You have to do the work. You can't let it fester inside you. But also, we're not here for that long. So you do need to do the work on it, it's more on it, be sad, and then you have to try and move on. What would your PR team hate you admitting?

45:56There's just like, there's just so much. I have a team around me that obviously are, they've known me. My agents have known me for over a decade. They know who I am. They know I'm pretty strong-willed. I've got a very strong sense of self. I know what I like, what I don't like, what I want to do, what I don't want to do. I know, I know things that I should say, some things I shouldn't say, and we try and agree somewhere in the middle. Basically, I do what I want. What would you tell 20-year-old Olivia? oh my god okay top line stuff use sun cream eat properly don't smoke bigger stuff your 20s are going to be a wild painful ride 20s are sold to us at the best years of your life and for some people they probably and maybe are for me they weren't for me being in my 30s has been the best time that I've been alive I feel I have a stronger sense of self I know what I want I know who my friends are I know what I like I have money I'm I'm working like everything like there was so much like I say 20s are like growing pains but it's like you physically feel the pain of growth like and I think once you get out of them I think life does start to fall into place like a little bit more for some people it might take longer but yeah don't go into your 20s like oh my god this is going to be the most amazing decade of my life because it does actually does get better and anyone you speak to like I'm not afraid of aging on the inside externally fucking terrified like any women in their 40s 50s who have created the life they love like they just tell you life gets better life just keeps getting better you become happier you care so much less about stuff so that would be the first thing so I'd say that go in go for it have fun travel make mistakes take opportunities ask what you want like I feel that I spent so much of my 20s my early 20s not really asking I think if there's anything you ever want in this life you have to ask for it like don't ask don't get every single thing I am that people see me do but the very odd thing that's come to me my tv shows my podcast my some of my collaborations I've gone to the production company said I want to do a TV show.

48:34I want to make, and I've been told no a lot, a hell of a lot I've been told no, but because there's been so many yeses, people wouldn't believe how many no's I've been told, but what the worst thing someone can ever say to you is, no, you're not right for that right now, and then my second question would be, okay, thank you for your time, what could I do to be in a position where I'm right for that in the next year to two years, and then when they give you the answer, listen to it, like actually listen, if they're going to take the time to give you like a proper answer listen to it take it into account put it into action um and then my third little nugget would be this saying that i love when the world's at your feet don't kick it and when you're in your 20s and it's not the case for everyone if you're lucky let's be your 20s and you you're healthy and you're without children or marriage and you're free the world is literally your feet you can do whatever you want but i think a lot of people accidentally myself included i was kicking the shit out of the world at my feet by doing the wrong things by wasting time on loser boyfriends by you know not looking after myself at all in any sense of the word by not you know instead of putting pressure on myself what am I going to turn into what am I going to be I I wasn't I was acting on everything I did was based on mood and not like the bigger plan because there was no plan so I think you start creating a plan it doesn't have to be like a rigid plan but take advantage of having the freedom that you might never have again I get asked this question quite a lot so I do this in different forms it says how do you handle such a busy schedule and still look so healthy and fab so I'll cut the crap with you like I always do you know my the creation of my life and how I look is is not is nothing's by accident right I have no motivation sometimes at all, but I get up, I work out every single day.

50:25When I have any time off, I'm going for like medical treatments, whether like lasers, peels, Botox, I do everything. I sit in hyperbaric oxygen chambers when I get some time. I eat a really clean diet. And then on the flip side of that, like once every two weeks, I go out, I go out, out, and I'll eat junk and I'll drink too much and all the rest of it. So I say my life is like balanced. So it's like I'm doing good to make up for the bad. I also, guys, you have to remember, like, I have not, I don't know, not for days like this, but it's like I have hair and makeup team. I crawl into glam chair sometimes when I'm exhausted.

51:01I look like a fucking creature that lives under a bridge. They are professionals. They transform me and then photographed under the best light with the best cameras and the best editors. So, you know, you don't see it because I've got to be honest, my thing is not really showing up online looking my worst that doesn't make me feel confident i'll show up with no makeup and whatever but you know there's a lot that goes into it so what you've you're giving yourself a hard time don't because there is a there's a massive privilege divide there like i i always when people you know i meet people and they go oh i look like this like i look like shit for a start quite a lot but there's a privilege divide i have access this stuff i don't have kids i have help around the home.

51:47I'm not afraid to say all the stuff that other celebrities are afraid to say out loud. Like, that's why my house is always tidy. Like, I am looking after me. And then I've also got a whole lot of other people looking after me. I just don't mean I'm not exhausted, but just give yourself a break. But if I would say, you know, start with the diet, the water, washing your face at night, get yourself in the gym. Those little baby shoes, like sound like nothing they will make such a difference and then if you want to like go you know go all sort of I don't know what you'd call it go all Lindsay Lohan on the weekend it won't matter because the balance okay I've got a question here that is like I've been with some it's cut off a little bit it says I've been with someone years and years feels like things are getting a bit boring he's the only person I've slept with okay when you've been with someone a long time it's very easy to fall into just routine things become very mechanical and you get into that thing where you go like oh shall we have sex tonight or like it all becomes the same I remember hearing on a podcast from a sex therapist that basically there's a key to reigniting like sexual excitement in relationships that have been going on a long time and I should credit her for this I actually can't remember who it was and the theory was that you change one thing every single time and it might be as simple as like okay do you always get into bed in your pajamas and then you have sex okay so get into bed one night after the shower completely naked there's one thing already that's going to be like oh do you always have sex like with your head on the pillow why don't you like flip things around have sex on the bed sideways or standing up or whatever like if whoever always initiates sex like flip that on its head have a threesome but basically it was this rule of thumb and i've i did use this in long-term relationship that you check if you just change one thing the next time because you just that's what happens you fall into a routine and you do the same thing so it's like why don't you just do something different each time but it can just be small and suddenly things start to feel fresher also i don't know how to get away with it but there's a lot of pages on TikTok that give away like the most unreal sex tips.

54:03I don't know how you'd find them because it's really weird because TikTok's meant to be PG but one time I was reading them, not that I needed any, but that was a wink if you're just listening. And then for days afterwards my algorithm was flooded and they'd use all like code words to stop it being like banned by the algorithm but I was listening to some of these girls being like that's a fucking great tip. But yeah so I don't know how you'd find them but tiktok there's some tips on there all the best of that love um right one more are we going to see you in the us anytime soon dun dun dun i am making my new york my second home my new york return for the third time in uh very early september so i will be in nyc so any American Olivia's House listeners DM me I want to hook up with some of my NYC girls and I'll be there doing some fashion shows doing some content doing some meetings you know the usual stuff you don't have to ask me twice to go to New York City I am there right so it's my own solo app but I'm going to play the games that the guests play my referral list my next house guest I'd like to put a personal pledge out to Lily Allen hi I feel like she might not know who I am.

55:23Or she does. She might hate me. I'm not sure. But I feel like we both had a similar-ish kind of few years. I'm obsessed with you, Lily. I want you to know that I bought your new look collection back in the day. The big gold earrings, the little polka dot dresses. I was a stan. I was an original stan. And I think we'd have a great fucking chat. And she's just finishing a tour. Serendipity. Plays. please and I'm gonna ban fake feminists I had a guest actually who said this one once themselves and I'm doubling down because I've experienced a little bit of this myself I've experienced a little bit of myself the last six months while things have been unsettled in my life women just want to get on your back like I've not had a hard time for many men but other women they want to come for your career, come for your credibility, you know, make up shit about you.

56:21Like, we are never going to take over the patriarchy while we keep getting each other's way. Like, if you are calling yourself a feminist, but you don't actually like women unless they behave exactly the way you behave and you want them to behave, you're not a feminist. You're just a little control freak. Like, the whole idea of being a feminist is, like, women should be able to do what the fuck they want when they want. So stop trying to put women in tiny little boxes because we won't get in. I refuse. But over and out, dolls, share this episode to everyone. I'm so sorry for leaving you for so long.

56:53I'll be back again very soon. I love you.

The House is officially open again after a short summer break, and this week, Olivia is taking her turn in the Hot Seat. We’re talking Saint-Tropez, screenshots and of course, the hard launch we’ve all been waiting for…

Olivia spills on why she made Pete post first, what he’s really like behind closed doors and why she’s letting herself find love again.

But with true Attwood honesty, she’s keeping it real with you Dolls. She opens up about the emotional reality of the last seven months, her internet crash out, going back to therapy and the realisation that when it comes to healing, you can’t skip doing the work.

She answers the burning questions you Dolls had for her: from dealing with a cheating partner and keeping the spark alive in a long-term relationship, to the hard truths she’d tell her 20-year-old self now.

And finally, Olivia has a message for Pete: it’s time to come to the House.
