In short

End-of–Super Bowl week Pardon My Take episode covering (1) Super Bowl 60 game preview and betting props, (2) NBA trade deadline recap and reactions, and (3) Eagles offensive-line coach Jeff Stoutland leaving, plus some off-field Super Bowl week chatter (including Tom Brady “dog in the fight” controversy) and a brief “Fyre Fest” tease.

Guests

Fred Warner (San Francisco 49ers linebacker; interviewed about the Super Bowl, his team’s preparation, and covering the game). Jake Bobo (Seahawks player; interviewed about playing in the Super Bowl and getting ready).

Guest backgrounds

Warner is an NFL defensive leader for the 49ers and is positioned as a Super Bowl observer/covering voice in the episode. Bobo is a Seahawks contributor who will be on the field in the Super Bowl.

Key claims / notable takes

  • NBA: Bulls are criticized for trading away players at poor value and accumulating mostly second-round picks; the episode argues the Wizards’ Anthony Davis trade could be a “fleecing” and that health could make them a threat.
  • NBA: Thunder are framed as an organization that improves players; Jared McCain’s trade is discussed as a downgrade for him.
  • Eagles: Jeff Stoutland’s departure is treated as a major loss to the Eagles’ offensive-line identity; discussion includes claims he was “frozen out” by Nick Sirianni and Kevin Petullo.
  • Super Bowl: Tom Brady’s “no dog in the fight” comments are debated as either competitive psychology or a mistake that former players are reacting to.
  • Seahawks injury note: Iman (likely I. Wari) tweaked ankle in practice; hosts expect he’ll be available with treatment.

Notable examples

  • Trade examples: Chris Paul/Raptors mention, Chris Stops to Warriors, Anthony Davis to Wizards, Jared McCain to Thunder, Bulls trading for many second-round picks, Pacers trade for Zubac.
  • Eagles example: Stoutland credited for developing Lane Johnson, Jason Kelce, and other trench players; Al Villanueva mentioned in a development context.

We're going to get into the game preview. Hank, well, no. Every time I ask this, it always goes sideways. How are you feeling? But we should talk all the other stuff, NBA trade deadline, everything. But I do want to ask how you're feeling.

4:11Big Cat:I feel great. I feel awesome. How are you feeling?

4:14PFT Commenter:I feel tired and ready to go home.

4:17Big Cat:I'm sorry to hear that. I feel fantastic. I'm ready to go.

4:22PFT Commenter:Is that not an okay answer? No, it is.

4:24Big Cat:I feel sorry for you. How excited are you for us to leave? So excited. I'm going to miss you guys. How excited are you for me to leave? I'm going to miss you a lot. I mean, you look good. We've had such a good week. Like, I think I've, you know, it's going to feel weird. We were joking about it. I might get sick.

4:42PFT Commenter:Well, don't talk about that fire fest with Zach, who's not here. Zero out of ten by Zach for Super Bowl week. It's okay. It's all right. He's sick. I'm slightly concerned about Zach because Zach will not share any.

4:56Big Cat:Like, everything's HIPAA as far as he goes. Like, he just says that he's fine. I asked him the other day when he found out he was sick. I said, when was the last time you were sick? And his answer was, like, my fever's basically gone, and I haven't thrown up since earlier.

5:10PFT Commenter:Yeah.

5:10Big Cat:And then I'm like, wait, define earlier. So then Zach's like, well, it was, like, an hour ago, like, two hours ago.

5:17PFT Commenter:And listen. You always threw up earlier. Yeah. We've all been, unless he was mid-throwing up during the text. Yeah.

5:23Big Cat:Yeah. No, Zach is an AI. Like, I have to do an AI-type prompt to him. I do parentheses do not lie at the end of every sentence

5:31PFT Commenter:I texted because right before we recorded I was like how are you feeling he said I'm great no symptoms just a little congested then I walked in the room and you guys were like he's got 101 degree fever still so he's given conflicting reports we miss Zach we love Zach he we'll get to it on fire maybe we'll call him even though he's literally three doors down he walked in his hotel room but let's do all the other stuff before we get to the big game okay NBA trade deadline. Yeah. A lot of trades. Yeah. All of our teams impacted. No Giannis. No Giannis. We are going to, Shams, thanks for nothing, dude.

6:07PFT Commenter:This always happens.

6:08Big Cat:It always happens.

6:09PFT Commenter:We're just going to kick it down the road.

6:10Big Cat:All the people that say like nothing ever happens, we always wake up every morning. It doesn't matter if it's like sports news, if it's like world political news. Everyone's hair is on fire. Everyone's panicking. And nothing ever happens. Nothing ever happens. Giannis is never going to get traded.

6:24PFT Commenter:Yeah. The trade deadline was a couple big ones, like Chris Stops to the Warriors, Anthony Davis to the Wizards, Jared McCain getting traded, the Bulls trading for every single second-round pick that's ever been created. That's pretty much it. How do you feel about it?

6:44Big Cat:So the Bulls trades, I tried to keep up with them. I have no idea. What is the plan? Do they have a plan?

6:50PFT Commenter:All right. So the problem with the bull, well, there's a lot of problems with the bulls and I should say, fuck Jerry Reinsdorf to just as a blanket statement, because a lot of times what will happen is it will be a front office, fuck the front office. But that just basically carries water for Jerry Reinsdorf being a piece of shit. And I think he like he publicly says the best thing to do is finish second place so that the fans will think next year is the year. The bulls traded everyone. they have decided they're going to build the rebuild out of uh guards and second round picks they traded everyone when the players were at their worst value like they they've mistimed every single trade and this is going back to caruso levine vooch a couple days ago io kobe white they basically were like hey what would be the smartest time to trade them let's wait a year and then trade them.

7:44PFT Commenter:Yeah. And that's what they've done. They have traded the entire roster, essentially, except Patrick Williams, which is very funny. They've traded almost everyone on the entire roster in the last two years. They have netted one single first-round pick out of it, and the one single first-round pick they netted was their own pick that they were getting back. That's where the Bulls are at. Maybe they're all Jokic's, all these second-round picks, 14 of them. But yeah, they have an awesome G League team now that's going to also wear the Bulls jersey. Mack McClung's actually got called up. I love that.

8:21PFT Commenter:I think we talked about the Jaden Ivey, which is, that's, like, he could be good. He got, like, very, very bad injury last year that took a lot of his burst away. Maybe he'll be good. Colin Sexton, that was just swapping pieces. Yabu, Yabu's on the Bulls now. Now he's been passed around by everyone, right? You guys took his contract. Yeah, I know, which that one made no sense because at one point it was like, oh, the Bulls are actually doing the right thing. They're tanking. They're not going to make the play-in. They're going to clear the books. They're going to take a flyer on a Jaden Ivy. They're going to take a flyer on Anfernee Simons.

8:58PFT Commenter:They're going to maybe, you know, these guys are going to be free agents in the summer. They're like, yeah, let's get Yabu and just pay him$7 million because we needed a single big. So, yeah, it's a mess. Big ass. Big ass. It is funny looking at all the second round picks, 14 of them.

9:12Big Cat:That is the kind of trade, though, that will piss you off the most as a fan. It's like, I don't even know what this team's going to look like in two years. Is it like Miles? Can you convert like two, you know, 14 second round picks for like two firsts?

9:23PFT Commenter:I honestly like you have to at least call the Bucs and be like, how about Giannis for 14 second rounders? You got to have them say no. Yeah. The other thing that like I don't think they'll make the play in, But if this team fucking makes a play and I'm going to lose my mind, like because it actually does look like they're doing the correct thing of not making the play and realizing that this team is so far away. But it would be so balls to because they added the perfect amount of guys that are like every single guy is if you just watch his highlight tape, he's a problem. And then you watch him play actual basketball.

9:59PFT Commenter:Like, OK, that makes sense that he got traded. but like dillingham and simons and jayden ivy like oh they could all get hot at the same time and get the 10th seed if that happens i will be so upset well all these guys have a lot to play for

10:12Big Cat:they do like establishing themselves as nba nba players and they that is a very dangerous spot to be in yeah like guy all guys with potential that are extremely motivated could get you to that nine

10:24PFT Commenter:seed the bulls are basically just walking around right now it's it's like you know when when we were kids pft when actual you know like having a quarter meant something because you could make a phone call or something like that now change when you have when you go somewhere you go to 7-eleven and you get 56 cents of change you're like what am i going to do with this that's basically what the bulls have in their pocket with their second round picks they're walking around with 38 cents and change they have a couple pennies a dime a nickel you're like okay dude what is this yeah

10:58Big Cat:you could get you could get a very fine juice you could get a juicy juice for that you could um if you had the dime you remember when they upped the phone call to 35 cents yeah that was a pain in the

11:07PFT Commenter:ass no what they should do is they should put it in that little dish that saves like little mexican kids yeah or i mean whatever it is isn't it like a little you know the the thing the slot you put it in and save some kid in some foreign country that you don't know where the money's going?

11:22Big Cat:Yeah.

11:22PFT Commenter:You guys know what I'm talking about. What are you laughing about memes? It goes to 7-Eleven.

11:26Big Cat:The way you just referenced it.

11:27PFT Commenter:But am I right?

Read the full transcript

11:28Big Cat:You're right.

11:29PFT Commenter:You know exactly what I'm talking about. A little glass thing with the, there's a flyer on it and it's like, save this person. Yeah, it's just a big group of kids. Yeah. It's just kids are getting saved. Yeah. That's what the bulls are going to do. You're going to collect children. Yeah. Second round picks. Just put them all. Go to 7-Eleven, get yourself a nice Pepsi Zero Sugar, and then put the rest of the second round picks in that little collection jar. Yeah. Done.

11:53Big Cat:I'm excited for Anthony Davis.

11:54PFT Commenter:Yeah, let's talk about the real trades, because that was enough ranting about a team that is completely irrelevant, and I'm completely apathetic towards because Jerry Reinsdorf is a piece of shit.

12:02Big Cat:Well, I've just been completely apathetic towards the Wizards for my entire life, about 41 years of my life. There have been flashes when we had Michael Jordan. That was fun. Got to go watch him play. when we had Gilbert Arenas. That was good for like two years. Then when we had John Wall and Beal, that was fun for exactly one season. But the Wizards, I've always said that they are the most irrelevant North American sports franchise. I don't think it's close. And when I mean irrelevant, I mean like if you put a list together of the most relevant teams and you have the Wizards at number one, people will even get mad at that list because they're like, I don't even want to think about the Wizards being on this list.

12:39PFT Commenter:The worst thing that happened to the Wizards taking the one spot for most irrelevant franchises is the Phoenix Coyotes going to Utah. Yeah.

12:48Big Cat:Because that would have been the only one. That would be the one that you can clap back on. Yeah. But, I mean, they had Gretzky as their head coach. They've done some. I mean, the Wizards are irrelevant. They've always been irrelevant. And now it seems like we're trying to do something. I could see this team being fun next year. You know what? Every single analysis I've seen of the Wizards, it always starts like, if they can stay healthy. Yeah. And Max, you know how that goes. Yeah. The Wiz are the number one. If they can stay healthy, look out for the Wiz team now. Like Anthony Davis pairing him up with Trey Young, if he can stay healthy, pairing him up with Saar, Bub Carrington, Trey Johnson.

13:25Big Cat:We've got actually a fun team next year. So this is kind of new for me to be going into an offseason where I'm like, I think I'm like Wiz curious. I could become I might be the Whistler next year oh and this is uh this is exciting for me I'm pumped now obviously Anthony Davis his time in Dallas uh not great didn't really play that much and if you look at how that trade went down for him and then what the Wizards gave up which is two first round picks three second rounders Chris Middleton Malachi Branham AJ Johnson Marvin Bagley the two first round picks aren't really two first round picks we didn't give up two first round picks we gave out one that's protected that we're going to keep and then there's another one that could end up being like the 30th pick i want to say it might be the warriors pick that is so we

14:11PFT Commenter:what it's close to a second rounder i might want that you want it don't stay in your lane that's that's a first round pick but it dips to 31 i'm i want that they're the most fake first round picks

14:21Big Cat:that we gave up for anthony davis so i i think that this is a great trade for the wizards i do i think this was an absolute fleecing of the dallas mavericks they could they could maybe win

14:30PFT Commenter:some games. Max, you don't think so?

14:33Big Cat:Anthony Davis is going to be 33 next year. But if he stays healthy. But he gets hurt every game. You're not following me.

14:40PFT Commenter:What if he stays healthy? Think about him staying healthy.

14:43Big Cat:Yeah. You didn't think about that. Imagine five years ago, Trae Young and Anthony Davis. People would have lost their minds. Anthony Davis is still a great defender. We've got a great defensive frontcourt. We really do.

14:57PFT Commenter:You're only right now 10 games out of the 10

15:00Big Cat:Yeah, well, I don't think – my guess is Anthony Davis probably not going to play that much this year. Yeah. Trey Young probably not going to play that much this year. And then we'll get a great draft pick hopefully, get a good player. It's a good draft, loaded draft coming up. That's what I'm hoping for.

15:13PFT Commenter:The Bulls finally will maybe get a little bit better odds.

15:16Big Cat:You want to buy stock in a team. I'm buying stock in the Wizards right now. I'm ready to say it. I think I am now a Wizards fan. There you go. I'm thinking Yoff's for sure next year. Yoff's? You've got to be Yoff's.

15:28PFT Commenter:Yoff's for sure.

15:29Big Cat:100 % guaranteed. We're going to be better than the Sixers next year. 75 % of the league makes the Yoffs. Oh, we're counting playing? You have to count the playing, dude. You've got to make it to the first round. Let me ask you a question.

15:41PFT Commenter:What do they do first? Do they do the Yoffs or the playing? You can't get to the Yoffs unless you get in the playing. That's incorrect. Yeah, no, that's not totally true. As far as I'm concerned, the only way to get in the Yoffs is to win the playing.

15:54Big Cat:That's what I've learned. Get so good that you are above the playing. First, you have to defeat the play-in. Then you get in the offs. It's a tricky spot. Correct. So you just agreed that... I'm going to leapfrog the play-in, but the play-in does... That counts as the offs.

16:07PFT Commenter:Hey, don't sleep on the play-in.

16:07Big Cat:It counts as the offs. I'm saying it. It does. Max is just jealous.

16:10PFT Commenter:Go down to Miami, get killed by 30? Maybe beat the Hawks the first time?

16:14Big Cat:Max is just jealous. He thinks... He sees now the Wizards as possibly a threat if they stay healthy. Trae Young is a play-in guy.

16:21PFT Commenter:He's a play-in hero. Yeah.

16:23Big Cat:Hank, do you see the Wizards as a threat? If they stay healthy, they're fucking stacked. Yeah. Lockstep. Here you go, Hank.

16:31PFT Commenter:Listen, what POT is doing, you're allowed to do. It's no different than me saying, what if the 14 second round picks by the Bulls are all Nikola Jokic?

16:40Big Cat:Yeah, it's fun. Right? But there is a chance that AD stays healthy. Right. And there's a chance that all 14 picks become Nikola Jokic. Right. Correct. AD's never played on a team that's in the Eastern time zone before. Maybe it's just like his biological clock is suited up to be an East Coast guy.

16:59PFT Commenter:Yeah, that's right. The Pelicans are central time.

17:01Big Cat:Yeah. So, I mean, Max, you have to admit. About the bubble. That, like, if healthy. Bubble.

17:08PFT Commenter:Great call. That's actually, and that was when he was at his best. And he won. Yeah.

17:11Big Cat:And he wanted, yeah. Great call. I want a chip.

17:13PFT Commenter:So, yeah. He could be awesome. That was a good point. I didn't think about the East Coast guy. East Coast guy.

17:18Big Cat:Max, you should be nervous. Do you have any tips on how I can deal with a big man who is almost certain to be injured over the course of a season? They're still good. Who? Embiid and AD. They're both good. Yeah. Do you have any tips? You just got to – load management is key. Okay. You just got to, like, know – There's no back-to-backs. You got to sit less than you play. Back-to-backs don't happen. Okay. And then once you get to the fourth quarter and you're up by 15, it's like, all right, let's get him on the bench. Okay. Get him on the bench. It's also key to have a guy on our team that is maybe more injured than him.

17:57Big Cat:That way it's not like, this guy's always hurt. We got another guy that's hurt her.

18:01PFT Commenter:Also, maybe practice some karate, learn how to fall.

18:04Big Cat:Oh, I like that. No, you're supposed to fall. Yeah, no, remember you learned how to fall. Yeah. He did karate. So there's going to be a lot of times where maybe if he falls, people are going to be like, oh, my God, he's hurt again. Yeah. But you will be able to correct them and be like, no, he actually does that on purpose. He's got to get better at falling.

18:21PFT Commenter:Now that we're saying this, Anthony Davis, he's way more Joel Embiid than Joel Embiid. Yeah. Anthony Davis gets hurt in every game he's ever played. He gets hurt standing up a lot, too. He leads the league and go into the tunnel. He leaves the game with a knee injury.

18:35Big Cat:Yeah, he's got a lot of... But you always think that you just got to know that they're going to come back. He's really good at coming back into games after you think he's injured. So he might be really tough. They are the same guy. We got the same guy. But if he stays healthy, look out for the Wiz.

18:51PFT Commenter:What do you think about Jared McCain?

18:53Big Cat:That was tough. He's your guy. So weird. I love Jared McCain. You got traded to the Thunder, which makes it so much worse because the Thunder just makes everyone good. It's a good organization, and you always think that Presti's fleecing you, so it's hard. to like, it's like the, it's like, I'm on the opposite side of Howie in this trade. Yeah, you got Howie. When you make a trade with Presti, it's like, fuck, I just, that guy knows more than my guy. You got Howie'd. And now Jerry McCain, he's had a really, he's had a really bad year. He's actually gone up and down from the G League. Vijay Edgecombe basically took his spot in like the future of the backcourt.

19:32Big Cat:So there wasn't really like a long-term play for him. I would have liked him as a sixth man. Like he is still a good shooter and he was, and he was starting to play a lot better in the past couple of weeks. And we didn't get anything. We got, we got the Rockets first round pick, which is going to be like the 25th pick, which is basically nothing. And we got three second round.

19:54PFT Commenter:It's kind of crazy. Cause Jerry McCain, like if you go back to December of last year, that was,

19:59Big Cat:he was rookie of the year.

20:00PFT Commenter:Yeah. Yeah.

20:01Big Cat:He was like future faces. It was by far, he was for sure the rookie of the year. I will be getting to the future face of this league at some point in this show. Oh, please. Yep. Do you have it? No, no, no, no. It's coming, though. That's a little teaser. At some point in this show, I will be bringing up the future face of this league. We're talking about basketball right now. Yep. And then this is the last show before the Super Bowl. So we're probably going to be heavy on NBA later on in the show, too. Yep. Wait, the future face of this league is going to be Firefest? I will be bringing up the future face of this league later in the show.

20:31Big Cat:Okay. All right. I like that tease. That's actually a great tease now, Max. How are you going to land this plane? More after this I've never done that Yeah, I like that Yeah, it's coming

20:42PFT Commenter:The other trade Get ready everyone What else is coming? So exciting All that and more When we come back It's going to be like when Diplo has the beat drop We're all going to be going We need a cannon to go off when he hits the future face Yeah, future face Don't do it all right now Don't say the whole thing Is he a prop? Huh? Don't give it away He's trying to get you to ruin the teams

21:04Big Cat:I didn't ask you too many hard questions. Let us edge us.

21:09PFT Commenter:Hank, we already talked about Vooch. You were happy about that? Yeah. The Cavs traded for James Harden. That happened. We talked about James Harden on Wednesday's show, but then it happened right after. We all saw this coming. Surely this will work out this time.

21:22Big Cat:How many teams is that for James Harden? It's five in six years. Five teams in six years. Good for him. You think he's going to like Cleveland? That seems like a James Harden town.

21:31PFT Commenter:Like I said, I do think he will have a good playoff game.

21:35Big Cat:Yeah. Maybe game like two. Game one or two. Game two. Game two Harden, for sure.

21:40PFT Commenter:He actually should. He would be a really good playing guy. Because all you got to do is play one game. That's true. It's a one-game series.

21:46Big Cat:But then if he gets a one-game series, is that going to be his game seven? Yeah, true. Yeah, it kind of is. Yeah.

21:53PFT Commenter:Any other big trades we should talk about? The Kristaps one to the Warriors is interesting. So Draymond did not get traded. Great interview with Draymond. We appreciate him coming on. Any other ones? I feel like the Warriors were trying to trade Kaminga for the minute they drafted him. So that's done. I don't know if Chris Paul's on the Raptors. Is he going to... He's not even going to... I don't think he's going to leave the country. I think my breakdown on Wednesday's show for Mike Conley of the Bulls was I'm pumped that he's going to come to the office. He was on the Bulls for four hours.

22:25Big Cat:Yeah, there's so many... I wonder if he went.

22:29PFT Commenter:Maybe. He might have gone to the office.

22:30Big Cat:We're not there. There's so many guys in the NBA that get traded and they become the meme from Succession where it's just like, no, I don't think I will. Like, Chris Paul's not going to play on the Raptors. Although I did, the news broke about Chris Paul. We're down the hallway here from Ryan Russillo. So I went to break the news to Ryan. I knocked on the door and said, hey, Chris Paul just got traded to the Raptors. And he processed it for a second, and he had a great response, which was, I mean, with our two countries right now at each other's throats, what better way than to heal ourselves and make peace than sending Chris Paul as an ambassador?

23:01Yeah.

23:02Big Cat:So this could be bigger than the game. That's true. This could be about friendship between the two great countries. That's a good point.

23:07PFT Commenter:And we should say that the Pacers actually made a pretty good trade. Meme says the Pacers are going to be a problem.

23:13Big Cat:Next year, yeah.

23:13PFT Commenter:Yeah, next year. Big problem. So they got Zubac, and what did they give up? Matherin and some picks? Matherin, first-round pick next year, but 1-4 protected, 10-30 protected. I think that's this year. Yeah, it's this year. Yeah, this year. That's some good protections. Yeah, but they're most likely going to have a top-three pick. Yeah. So that was very smart of them. Yeah, there's going to be a problem. They're going to be a problem. I'm trying to think if there's any other NBA trades. Oh, let me give you a little... Let's do a blind resume. You can just say who this person is. Leads the team.

23:48PFT Commenter:He just got traded. Leads the team and Ann Wons this season with 14.

23:57Big Cat:So it's a one-person blind resume. It's a one-person blind resume. Okay, some guy leads the team with end ones with 14. Yeah.

24:05PFT Commenter:Kevin Herter. No. Anthony Davis. No. The answer is Colin Sexton, who got traded to the Bulls, because I asked Mikey Betts, our good friend, who's a big-time diehard Bulls, thinks every move is good. He's pumped about Colin Sexton because he led the Hornets in end ones this year with 14, which is about one every three games. that was a real thing he said that's a great fucking stat that's advanced stats that you

24:39Big Cat:can't get anywhere else that's like when the nats did that trade with uh with the padres and i found one guy that we got and i was like this guy has the best eyes in minor league baseball and double a he had the lowest chase rate of anybody i was like that's good that's huge and build on it never

24:54PFT Commenter:heard from that guy again yeah just run the n1 play yeah or hit threes yeah you could do that so before we talk about the big game the other news jeff stoutland and that was it's bad so the offensive line coach for the philadelphia eagles who's been there for what 13 years who when we talked to lane johnson we talked to jason kelsey everyone has basically said he is the secret sauce heart and soul he is the underrated piece of this team he's the reason why we've been able to run the ball so well and won two Super Bowls. He is not retiring, but he's retiring from the Philadelphia Eagles. Thoughts?

25:39Max, are you going to cry?

25:41Big Cat:I'm just thinking. It's okay. It's okay to cry. Stoutland is like the best Eagles coach, I think, in my lifetime, possibly. Like, we have had such consistent success at the offensive line position for so long without even it being drafting, like, top-of-the-end guys. Like, Lane was an early pick, but, like, Mylotta was not. Jason Kelsey was not. Like, I mean, Landon Dickerson was a second-round pick. Like, we have built through the trenches on the offensive line for so long, and it's been the identity of this team, and everyone says that Stoutland is the reason for that. So it's a tough pill to swallow.

26:20but it just must mean that Sean Mannion is apparently running.

26:26Big Cat:He wants to run a complete different offense than we have been doing. I feel like they could still use. I don't know if that's the best.

26:34PFT Commenter:But did you read about how he basically was frozen out by Nick Sirianni this year? Oh, well, that, yeah. That and that Nick Sirianni and Kevin Petullo minimized him to a point that he was disrespected, and that was the impetus for him leaving.

26:54Big Cat:I read that we're running a new style of offense. Yeah, the McVay-Shay entry running. Which he did not run that style of offense.

27:02PFT Commenter:But the report was that he this year. So did you have a comment on that?

27:06Big Cat:Yeah, Petula's a terrorist.

27:08PFT Commenter:But Sirianni's still the head coach.

27:10Big Cat:No, Petula's a terrorist. Petula's not around him. He can't hurt you anymore. That makes no sense.

27:14PFT Commenter:Actually, Patula is still around.

27:18Big Cat:Oh, he's still in the building. I don't know what his role is, though. There are no more roles. What do you get hired? Like quality control? Offensive line coach. Yeah. You need an offensive line coach. Kevin Patula. Yeah. He understands the system. Listen, if your system cannot accommodate Jeff Stoutland as your offensive line coach, it might not be a great system. This feels bad. That's not true. that that's not true but it feels i so the initial thing was like oh he's retiring then you saw the

27:51PFT Commenter:sean manion piece that he's going to run you know different offensive uh running scheme but then seeing that it was they not ran him out but made it so that he didn't want to be there anymore that's the bad part because that's a guy you don't you want to you got to just be like hey whatever you need we want to keep you i agree i wish he was still there i don't know what is

28:14Big Cat:Stoutland, the kind of guy that would be like, I will not adjust the way that I work with teams if we're going to be doing more of a zone running scheme than I'm used to. It's just something that he doesn't have experience. Yeah, but he's such a good coach. Actually, I saw this is a great tweet from a front of the program, Emmanuel Acho. He gave Jeff Stoutland credit for developing all those guys you mentioned, Max, as well as developing Al Villanueva at offensive line for the Philadelphia Eagles. Al Villanueva was a Pittsburgh Steeler offensive lineman. He played, I believe, on the defensive line for the Philadelphia Eagles.

28:48Big Cat:I thought that was an interesting take. Maybe he ran out of town.

28:52PFT Commenter:I don't know. If it makes you feel any better, I saw Jordan Maialata last night. He's big still. Did he say anything about that one? I didn't ask him. But he is still a big man.

29:04Big Cat:I'm going to guess that he's not happy.

29:09PFT Commenter:That's good. Like, he didn't overnight. Like, Jeff Stoutland gets fired. There's got to be a concern that I run into Jordan Maialata, and all of a sudden he's a 5 '6", 125-pound man. Jordan Maialata is a massive human. So that's what I'm saying. He's still massive.

29:26Big Cat:Even post-Stoutland.

29:27PFT Commenter:Yeah. Even post-Stoutland, he has not lost any weight post-Stoutland. It was only two hours. Actually, he might have gained weight because it was at dinner. He gained weight post-Stoutland. He's in the biggest shape of his life. As first reported by this podcast, we're going to be fine.

29:42Big Cat:What about Big Dom, offensive line coach?

29:45PFT Commenter:Big Dom's looking for Hank right now.

29:47Big Cat:I got some. Yeah, Hank. Hang on one second. You know where I'm at? I didn't hear about that. I'm going to call Roan right now. I talked to him earlier. I also talked to Roan, and Roan said that. Yeah, hang on. It was 90 % me trying to rile up Big Dom. Okay, wait. Wait, what do you mean? Oh, yeah, yeah. I thought Roan's one of my best friends. Well, he is. He's turning into an op at rapid speed. You told me to call him during the show here. He's an op? Let's see if he's speaking up.

30:17PFT Commenter:Yeah, he's trying to get me hit. I would never do that. But we also are doing that. We should have.

30:23Big Cat:Yeah, but you guys are confirmed ops. Sorry. Welcome to the show. Welcome to our side, Roan. Hey, Roan, what's up? It's PFT from part of my Take Your Life to Tape. Oh, what's going on, my friend? How are you? Is he here? Hey, we're doing good. Can you come in the room? I was wondering what happened with Big Dom when you ran into Big Dom the other day.

30:43PFT Commenter:Ask if he's in the hotel.

30:44Big Cat:Actually, wait, Roan, are you in the hotel right now?

30:46PFT Commenter:Yeah, yeah.

30:48Big Cat:Yeah, so Roan. Yes.

30:50PFT Commenter:Roan is your son of a boy dad. Roan.com. Go tune into everything.

30:55Big Cat:Yuck. Booping and hollering. Yuck. Roan, we were just talking to Hank about Big Dom, Jeff Stoutland, maybe Big Dom, switches over, coaches offensive line. Hank gave a very sarcastic. No, I said they should That's a great idea Hank doesn't like Big Dom That's not true What's your Big Dom experience that you would like to share? Well, that's so funny because I saw Big Dom last night With Lane Johnson, who looks like he's ready to play football Okay

31:21PFT Commenter:So he also has not, because I said I saw Jordan Maialata last night And he has not become a 5 '6", 125-pound man since the Stoutland news Oh, he's still a fucking beast That's two for two That's good Two offensive linemen on the Eagles Have not lost any weight since Chef Salah He looked lean as fuck Oh maybe he did lose weight

31:41Big Cat:I touched him up I touched his midsection I was like what are you weighing in at Like 280 He was like 320 Whoa I said where's it at He said it's all in my ass Oh Love that All in my ass That's what I like to hear Yeah All in my ass And standing next to a beautiful Lane Johnson Was one Big Dom DeSandro Big Dom DeSandro And I went up to Big Dom And I said maybe a bit of a leading statement to Dom, but I said, Hank's a real piece of shit. And I think he said, I'm going to beat his ass. Get him. But his response back was that he's going to beat it. And I think we just kind of volleyed back and forth like, yeah, Hank's fucking dumb and sucks.

32:25Big Cat:Like, yeah, we're going to fucking fuck. So you were egging him on. Yeah, I was, I was, it was leading questions. It was fuel to the fire, but I think we decided we're going to like hang you up by your like, underwear on a fly pole or something. I'm still trying to convert Hank into a Big Dom. I'm trying to mend this relationship. I want you guys to be friends. He doesn't want to mend it. Hank hates Italians. I want it to be mended.

32:45PFT Commenter:But Hank has said, we were joking about it the other night. I was like, Hank is on the record saying he hates Italians. And Hank, that was a moment where Hank could have said, that's not true. He said, yeah, I am on the record multiple times. Hates Italians.

33:00Big Cat:I got no beef with Big Dom. I personally would not go to a Super Bowl party and just focus on me and the Patriots. That's just like... No, let's talk about the Patriots. Yeah, what? I'm talking about you. He wants to beat your ass. Henry Lockwood. He doesn't want to beat my ass. I'm a Patriots fan. Regardless, I would not be going to Super Bowl parties talking about other people and how they're a piece of shit. I focus on myself. Rone was the one who said it. I did a leading question. He didn't bring it up. It wasn't top of mind. Rone was talking about how you're a piece of shit. I've heard from like a hundred people that Big Dom brings me up everywhere, and I never talk about it.

33:30PFT Commenter:You talk about him all? I don't. You guys talk about him all the time. No, you talk about him.

33:36Big Cat:You guys talk about him all the time.

33:37PFT Commenter:You engage in the conversation? Not really.

33:39Big Cat:Against my will. You're doing it right now. Yeah, against my will. You think Big Dom's walking around town talking about you, just muttering about Hank Lockwood on his breath? I have her confirmed from multiple sources. I love Big Dom. What an egotistical thing to say. Rent free. By him, agree. He said our rushing attack is going to be fine. Yeah. He was chilling. He said, we're going to be good. We're going to be fine. He's loving it. And Lane was good, too. Lane was like, yeah, Lane was chilling. They looked athletic They were just chilling in the cup By the ski ball

34:04PFT Commenter:And Jordan Maialata was still big He was massive He's bigger He's bigger And leaner I said he

34:09Big Cat:Because I saw him eating dinner But he's not too big He's not too big He's not taking the news so hard That he's like stress eating He said bigger and leaner It was lean It was lean He missed the leaner No no Maialata He said he's leaner Maialata's leaner He's lean too What about Landon Dickerson I didn't see I didn't have eyes on him Kate had eyes on him Was he so small that you couldn't see him No no he was still He still blocked out the sun When he walked past any light And I think that they want to beat Hank's ass, too. Where was this? It was at some bar. It was at a bar that had skee-ball and video games and stuff like that.

34:40Big Cat:Not too big. Not gaudy. It would be incredible to watch all the guys on the O-line for the Eagles and Big Dom kick Hank's ass at once. Yeah. Like a bunch of elephants stomping out like a hyena. Fuck it. I don't care. For the Super Bowl? Would you trade it for the Super Bowl? Yeah, because I might beat them.

34:55PFT Commenter:Oh.

34:56Big Cat:You're going to beat all four of their asses?

34:58PFT Commenter:Rowan, last question. And Hank, right before you got in here, he has declared you're an op. I just said I'm sad.

35:03Big Cat:One of my former closest allies.

35:05PFT Commenter:Welcome to our side. Because I said, but what about us? We hate you too. He said, you guys are confirmed ops. So you're an op with us.

35:12Big Cat:Well, I asked him to name the Patriots offensive line. And all I got was I got a lot of crickets. And there's been a lot of time to study between. Will Campbell, Morgan Moses.

35:21PFT Commenter:Peter Uleg or whatever his name is.

35:23Big Cat:Peter Uline. Yeah, Thomas Peters. Thomas Peters. On when you. That's the same joke that Jack had just made. Oh, I didn't know that he was. I thought that was a real lineman. That's some of them. Yeah. I think those are the starters. That was three and a half. Two of those guys are four aces.

35:49Big Cat:I just think I know more about the Patriots than you, and I'm not even a Patriots fan. You're a smart guy. I'm not. But, Hank, listen, that's what they do. We're Patriots fans. They're obsessed with us. They know everything about us. It's facts. They know all the stats about us, like ridiculous, stupid ones. And they're like, oh, well, I know your team better than you do. Yeah, it's because you spend all day thinking about us. I like that race band. That's from the New Heights party? Did you go to that, Max? I did not. I did not go. Did you?

36:16PFT Commenter:I did not. I don't think I was allowed. Oh, wow. So you're in op territory.

36:22Big Cat:No, those are friends of the program. They won't let Big Cat go.

36:26PFT Commenter:No, I could have gone in. Roan could have gotten me in. Yeah, they would have rolled out the red carpet. You got invited. Yeah.

36:34Big Cat:It was a setup. It sounded like a setup. Yeah. Oh, man.

36:38PFT Commenter:We should have gone. I should have went. We should have went. Your ass. Broke some bread.

36:42Big Cat:All right, guys. Appreciate you guys. Thank you, Roan.

36:44PFT Commenter:Roan, you're the best. Go listen. Go tune in. Subscribe to Roan.com. Son of a boy, dad. Welcome to the Op family.

36:54Big Cat:In other Eagles news, before we get to the two teams, that actually matter. We did run into a Philadelphia Eagle at our hotel in the elevator yesterday. Max and I were getting into the elevator. Big Don? Doors closed. No.

37:11PFT Commenter:McNabb was in the elevator. Big Don.

37:14Big Cat:I should have said something. Max turtled. I didn't say anything. He got in the elevator, and Max and I looked at each other, and I gave him the big eyes. He's also a former Redskin. You also turtled. He is a former. He's a Redskin legend. Also a recurring guest. And recurring guest. And Max just looked down at his shoes, and he scratches his balls when he's nervous and started scratching his nuts. Didn't say anything to him. I was about to scratch him. And then, yeah, it was just sad to see a turtle like that. That's your hero growing up. No, McNabb is an eagle legend. Super guy. I didn't say anything to him.

37:45Big Cat:I don't. No one wants to hear from me. He probably would have liked to hear that. Yeah. No one wants to hear. I told Max, I was like, dude, you were like a little turtle. And he goes, I am a little turtle.

38:54Big Cat:Yeah. can't come soon enough. Yeah. You want us out? Not even that. I just want the game. I want to get into the stadium. Yeah. So you're not even excited for the weekend? No. It's just if I could fast-forward it, I would. I can't. So I will be attending some parties and stuff because I have no choice. But I'd rather just fast-forward. You don't want to party. No choice. You don't want to party at all. You have to party. Yeah, it's a business trip. Yeah. It's a business trip. I know that you are upset that you wouldn't want to fast-forward through the dozen trivia tournaments tonight that you have to be in.

39:24Big Cat:You're excited about that. Cherish those moments. Yeah. Because you don't know when you'll. That's my fire fest. I mean, I guess I'll redo it. I scored zero points in a dozen. Spoiler.

39:36PFT Commenter:Cherish those moments, Hank, because you don't know when you'll be back in it, which will probably be next year. Right.

39:41Big Cat:No, it's an honor. Yeah. It's an honor and a privilege, and I'm excited. Okay, so the Seahawks. I just wish we were on the same team. Same.

39:47PFT Commenter:Yeah. Always. The Seahawks are currently minus four and a half. Over-under is 45 and a half. couple injury things so Iman Wari tweaked his ankle in practice on Wednesday was seen limping after that feels concerning it does also it's the Super Bowl so they're going to make sure he's ready to go but still it's a low ankle sprain from what I heard very very important I saw some I saw people saying it's bad I saw a Twitter doctor which Hank still hasn't been a Twitter doctor but we'll get to that part that you might need to be say that because he's not in a boot, that's actually a good sign. Yeah.

40:26PFT Commenter:Because, you know, the limp is, you know, he's going to be a little hampered, but they'll shoot him up and he'll be ready to go.

40:32Big Cat:Like, as a 41-year-old, I tweak my ankle just about every day. Yeah. You know, you take one step, it rolls a little bit, and then you're like, fuck, I'm out of commission for a while. I think he'll be okay if it's a low ankle sprain. You're probably going to limp a little bit, probably a little bit swollen. He's going to get it shot up with the best drugs, the best drugs ever, Super Bowl drugs. So I think he'll be okay. Like, that's a whole new level of Toradol that he's going to get jacked up into his ankle. So I think he'll be okay. Still great player. Not what you want to hear if you're the Seahawks.

41:01Big Cat:But, yeah, that whole defense is good. So I think that with, like, an 85 % Imanwari, I still like that defense.

41:08PFT Commenter:Yeah.

41:09Big Cat:A tough defense.

41:10PFT Commenter:Is there any other injury news? Yes. Robert Spillane said that he's 100 % confident?

41:15Big Cat:No. So Robert Spillane is now sick. Oh, but he said the ankle, he's 100 % confident. Yeah, the ankle's fine, but he developed an illness, like a bat. He's very, very sick right now.

41:26PFT Commenter:Oh.

41:26Big Cat:Yeah. I don't know if it's... Zach. Well, no, he said, personally, it makes me sick that Tom Brady said he doesn't have a dog in the fight for this game. Robert Spillane is pissed off at Tom Brady for this.

41:36PFT Commenter:That story has gotten some new legs because everyone sounded off. Hank?

41:41Big Cat:I was told it was fake news when I brought it up. By who? You brushed it off. I did not say it was fake news. It was a brush off. Okay, we got to stay on the same team, Hank. It is. I mean, he does have a dog in the fight. I do believe he does have a dog in the fight. It's the Patriots. I think he's going to say. What about Clint Kubiak? The Raiders thing? Yeah. He can kind of use his Raiders situation to say that's why he said it, but he should just man up. I think he's a people pleaser. He doesn't want to be hated, so he doesn't want to get a Seahawks fan.

42:17PFT Commenter:But he's being hated now by doing it. I know. I know.

42:21Big Cat:I think he made a mistake. I hope he changes course and just comes out and is like, I do have a dog in the fight. It's the Patriots.

42:27PFT Commenter:I was thinking about it more. There's also a world that Tom Brady is such a competitive psycho. He just doesn't want anyone to ever win another Super Bowl again.

42:37Big Cat:Gronk says that he doesn't have a dog in the fight because he wishes he was playing. And that's why he's like, I don't want anybody to win. Right. Exactly.

42:45PFT Commenter:I win Super Bowl. He wants to win all the Super Bowls that have ever existed. So he's like, I'm not in it.

42:50Big Cat:So, but yeah, a lot of, I mean, like Teddy Bruschi and there's some guys that were doing interviews on Radio Row that former players are like also upset. And I think that that's been part of it.

43:00PFT Commenter:Speaking of which, I think we have about five hours to go. But are you worried at all about Asante Samuel?

43:08Big Cat:Coming for him?

43:10PFT Commenter:Asante Samuel on Wednesday night.

43:12Big Cat:I had to check like five times. We're five hours away.

43:16PFT Commenter:So Pacific time, 6.48 PM Wednesday night said Tom Brady, you have 23 hours to respond or it's up. I'm going ape shit about who you are. Five hours.

43:31Big Cat:Yeah, I am a little bit worried about that. I mean, this is these are distractions that we don't need, but at least it's former players and not current ones.

43:38PFT Commenter:And then he did an update. Does anyone believe Brady has texted Mike Vrabel by now? Eight hours and 30 minutes to go. So he's actively keeping count.

43:45Big Cat:It's not like he tweeted this out last night and then forgot about it. Sometimes you just say stuff and give fake deadlines. He's following up on this. What do you think that means, going apeshit? I don't know. Probably just tweets. Dirty laundry? I have to guess. Yeah. I mean, that's not what you want this week. Vince Wilford said it was bullcrap. Multiple times called it bullcrap. But again, it's not like it's a distraction for former players. It's not like the team, it's not going to distract our team. They don't even know Tom Brady. What do you think situate Mike McDonald thinks about this?

44:19Big Cat:Like, that is bull crap. Tom Brady should be rooting for the Patriots. I don't know. Situate Mike moved when he was a little boy, so I don't know how much he identifies with situate or the Patriots.

44:30PFT Commenter:The only thing that you could say in defense of Tom Brady is that he is going to do a press conference with Clint Kubiak probably on Tuesday, and if Clint Kubiak has a really bad game, it doesn't change the hire. But that's still, like, all you have to do is say, That's all he has to say.

44:46Big Cat:He says, I have a dog in the fight. It's the Raiders.

44:48PFT Commenter:Yeah. That actually would have been a fine answer. I own the Raiders. It was funny because at dinner, Dave was, it was me and Eddie and Dave. And he's like, this would be like Michael Jordan not rooting for the Bulls. And I was like, do you know that Michael Jordan has not been back to the United Center in 15 years? And he won't come near the Bulls. He's like, oh, bad example. Yeah. It's okay.

45:12Big Cat:We got to focus on the players on the field. Yeah. I did think about it. I thought about it more after we did the show last week or last Tuesday. And it'd be fucked up of me to not root for the Patriots. Like it's, do I want my friend Hank to get$80 ,000? That's probably like a bad thing to root against. So I know that it would go to a good place. That'd be me. I'd be rooting against you getting like two new country club memberships. And I can't do that. I want you to be happy. So I'm rooting for you. I want you to win. we are on the same same page same team same city i just like you've you've flip-flopped so much no now i'm back i'm back i'm back it's like i just want my friend to get 80 grand my wife did

45:52PFT Commenter:text me uh this morning said how has hank not punched pft yet yeah i do do i hank likes this polo i do like do you want it i'll get your shirt off my back i mean wow save it for my

46:04Big Cat:I wonder what's under this shirt. He turns like eight years old. I'm going to put it back.

46:08PFT Commenter:I wonder what's under this shirt. Oh, it's the number seven. The number seven. It's the number seven. That's a weird seven. That's what we're going for. Where'd you get that?

46:22Big Cat:In the Barstool Sports Store when the Patriots win. Okay. It'll be for sale. I'm a team player. Pushing merch. You got my shirt. Let's go, Hank. 80 grand. Hank. Do you want to give this to your son? What? That's a funny joke. Oh, it's a funny joke. It's a perfectly medium size. It is a sip of a little. Yeah, it is. You're welcome. You're welcome. Are you nervous, BFT, about your bet? Because you got a big bet. A big bet. Big bet. This is the most nervous I've ever been going to a Super Bowl. This is his eye roll. And the Tom Brady stuff is concerning to me. Like, it is a distraction that the players are talking about it.

46:55Big Cat:And I am worried about situate Mike. That would be a tough one to lose. It is. No, no. The more the week. The more the week goes on, the more confident I do get in the Patriots because this does feel like this is the Mike Vrabel game. If he had to draw it up in a lab, him being a four-and-a-half-point underdog going into this game, he wins these games all the time.

47:15PFT Commenter:Can I just say from this side of the room, this rivalry has made me laugh so hard. No rivalry.

47:23Big Cat:I also just realized you were wearing a sweatshirt underneath a polo and nobody thought anything of it. Yeah, perfectly normal way to wear a sweatshirt. If it was anybody else, we would be like, why are you wearing a crew neck underneath your polo? This is how guys dress sometimes. Oh, man. I do like this shirt, though, Seven. Oh, you've just been on his ass. It's been so much fun to watch. If we lose this one, then you can actually have this shirt for next year when they go back. Maybe they'll get their seventh Super Bowl loss next year. So it's really multipurpose. We're focused on this.

47:59PFT Commenter:Correct, we are, yeah. Every time you just say the word we, he just sighs in frustration. I love Hank. Let's talk about the actual game. Yeah. So I think there's, and this might sound dumb, I think there's a 40 % chance the Patriots win close. I think there's a 40 % chance the Seahawks win close. I think there's a 20 % chance the Seahawks could blow them out. That's where I land.

48:23Big Cat:That's where I land. I don't see a Patriots blow out the Patriots. They don't blow teams out. And even the Super Bowls, they're always close games.

48:32PFT Commenter:That's where I land. That's a 40 % chance. I mean, that's actually probably better.

48:38Big Cat:There's 0 % chance Patriots blow them out.

48:39PFT Commenter:I do not think that that would happen. I mean, it could look stupid. Don't take offense to it. That was a genuine question, of course. You know what? 1 % chance. Okay. Because that way I won't look so stupid if it happens. 1 % chance the Patriots blow out the Seahawks.

48:54Big Cat:And when the Seahawks lose, even when they play bad games, when Sam Darnold throws 4-7. 5-1. Yeah, it's very, very close.

49:01PFT Commenter:Two turnovers or more, 5-1 this year.

49:03Big Cat:Two very well-coached teams that don't make stupid mistakes, so I expect it to be a really good game. I'm excited about it.

49:10PFT Commenter:So my keys to the game are can the Patriots run the ball because the Seahawks' defense is very, very good, and I think that will be key to they're going to want to run the ball, maybe shorten the game a little. And then can the Seahawks' interior offensive line stand up against Milton Williams and the Patriots defensive line because that's where they're going to be able to get pressure. That's where Sam Darnold, if you get pressure up the middle with him, is a problem. Those are my two keys to the game. Could they both be irrelevant? Of course, because I don't know shit. But that's my two keys to the game.

49:43Big Cat:What are your keys to the game, Mac? My keys to the game are force a turnover early, get pressure early, come out guns blazing defensively. I think if we can get a turnover early, potentially pick six or something, like that would be good that will put a lot of of pressure on sam donald it's going to be hard for him to overcome that throughout the game we don't i think it's going to be like whoever whoever slips

50:06PFT Commenter:up first like the first mistake is going to be that's game very not it's not a game but it's

50:10Big Cat:going to be crucial it's going to be it might be game i think i think the uh because it's quarterbacks in their first in their first game in their first super bowl it's like they're gonna they make a turnover early like that's gonna stay with them more so than other quarterbacks mcdaniels is going to have something ready he's going to have some new trick that he hasn't done before oh yeah he's going to have a gadget play that we haven't seen and they're it's about when they break it out and if they're able to execute on that that could be huge obviously for the patriots but like you know that mcdaniels is going to this game and he's got like at least two things ready that he's put in this week that that is not on tape that he's ever done before and he's a great offensive coordinator terrible head coach great offensive coordinator and he'll have something good drawn up uh

50:55PFT Commenter:The two minor storylines I'm looking forward to are like pregame. Will Cooper Cup find his faux restaurant? Because he eats faux every Saturday with the quarterbacks before the game. So he's got to find a Vietnamese place, eat his faux. And then will Stefan Diggs take his poop? Did you see that story? That's today. Oh, that was today. Or Friday's poop day. Yeah, the Friday. All right, yeah, yeah.

51:22Big Cat:So, yeah, little buddy's got to poop.

51:23PFT Commenter:That's what Vrabel said.

51:24Big Cat:Yeah, we talked about that on the show, and then Hank used it against me to be like, he's basically you. You're a poop guy, too. Yeah, yeah. So those are the two, though. Those are the two big ones. He will be able to poop. I can promise you that. Yeah, I think also Kenneth Walker. I think Kenneth Walker is probably, he's the most important guy outside of JSN for this offense. If it's a good Kenneth Walker game, that will do very good things for their passing. I feel like the Seahawks almost have to run the ball before they throw it in this game, which kind of goes backwards against what they've done because they are maybe the two best offensive downfield passing teams in the Super Bowl, but I think each one of them is going to try to establish the run before they take those shots.

52:07PFT Commenter:Hank, are you bank? I saw some people quoting the Sam Darnold versus Patriots. Has he never beaten the Patriots? Or has he beaten them once?

52:17Big Cat:Don't think he has. Maybe once. It's either 1-4 or 0-5.

52:20PFT Commenter:Are you thinking that that Sam Darnold is going to show up or the Sam Darnold who played perfect football in the NFC Championship game?

52:25Big Cat:I'm thinking that Sam Darnold. I'm looking for that Sam Darnold. That's who you're looking for. Yeah, I'm hoping that guy gets off the bus. It's like a Where's Waldo. You're going to try to find that one. Yeah.

52:33PFT Commenter:Okay.

52:34Big Cat:That's, yeah. Yeah. In my mind, that's the Sam Darnold that's showing up to this game.

52:39PFT Commenter:So it will be a little jarring to the system if the NFC Championship game Sam Darnold shows up. Very. Because Sam Darnold, it's funny. That's not my game plan. It's funny that we keep the narrative continues, even though like last year it was is he gonna turn into a pumpkin week 18 happened playoff game happened that happened he turned into a pumpkin he did play almost a perfect game against the rams the nfc championship game does that like does that not count for hey can sam donald win a big one

53:06Big Cat:no yeah i well i think we're not on pumpkin watch anymore if he has a bad game in the super bowl i don't think he's a pumpkin i think it's just you don't think the nfc championship game is a big one It's a big one. It's not the big one.

53:17PFT Commenter:Yeah, but okay. But if he had lost that, you would say he can't win the big one.

53:21Big Cat:If he throws up a stinker, he's a pumpkin. Right. If he has an okay game and they lose, maybe not. He can prove he can win big games. But if he has a terrible game.

53:31PFT Commenter:I should have said the big one because it was for the longest time. Can he win a big game?

53:34Big Cat:Yeah.

53:35PFT Commenter:And he has proven he can win a big game because he did.

53:37Big Cat:But, yeah, I mean, it really depends how he performs. But if he has a horrible game, like I don't think, I think it's back to Sam Darnold. The narratives are the same.

53:45PFT Commenter:Back to Sam Darnold. What do you think about Travion Henderson? Because we're going to get the props.

53:50Big Cat:I don't know. I've seen some film where it's like he's missing his cuts and his runs and he's not following his blockers. Hopefully, he's explosive. And if he gets to the outside, he can make a big play. I don't know. I feel like Seahawks' defense is good. I don't know. He's a coin flip. I think a guy like that. You hope he can have one big play. That's all we need. He was very impactful in the regular season, hasn't done much in the playoffs. It's got to be about, like, blocking. It's got to be about pass protection.

54:19PFT Commenter:Well, that's going to be the interesting thing is because the Travion Henderson is not a very good blocker. Will they be blitzing when he's not on the field, knowing that, hey, they're probably going to be passing? And then same Kenneth Walker also comes off the field, and Helani comes on to block.

54:35Big Cat:Yeah.

54:35PFT Commenter:So that changes a little with the Charbonnet injury.

54:37Big Cat:What about a little game within the game? Yeah. Marcus Lawrence, Will Campbell. be watching that one are you confident will campbell he said will campbell is the the perfect to pin me of a guy that like says and does all the things like when he's talking to the media that you want your lineman to say he acts like a great offensive lineman but he's had some bad games he was hurt and he was he was coming off an injury so i'm hoping that that was just kind of rust and that he's taken the you know extra time and he's going to be back to where he was earlier in the season. But yeah, I will be watching.

55:09Big Cat:I'm a little worried. If he plays like he did in the two playoff games, that could be a problem.

55:14PFT Commenter:Yeah. Do you guys want a few stats that mean absolutely nothing? I hate those. The team wearing their white jerseys has won 16 of the last 21 Super Bowls.

55:26Big Cat:That was a Vasoli stat. I saw that.

55:28PFT Commenter:Yep. The Patriots are in white. The most common final margin in the Super Bowl history is three points, Which has happened nine times The next closest is four points Six times Spread probably going to come into play I'm trying to look for some more stupid stats

55:46Big Cat:Patriots have never won a Super Bowl in the Pacific time zone Oh But this is their first time playing a Super Bowl in the Pacific time zone They've won every other time zone So they've never lost

55:55PFT Commenter:Arizona

55:56Big Cat:They've won Was that Pacific?

55:58PFT Commenter:Seattle Mountain Oh yeah that was the Seattle Mountain Central Eastern

56:03Big Cat:Remember we had this conversation about the Cardinals Is Arizona always? Yeah, we talked about this with the Cardinals like a month ago. Yeah. It's right now it's. No, because they don't do daylight savings. Yeah. Sometimes it's one time. So right now I think it's mountain. Arizona. Right now it's mountain. Yeah. It's a different time zone. Yeah. So at the Super Bowl, it's mountain time. It's mountain. So yeah. Okay. But it also means they've never lost a Super Bowl in Pacific time zone either. Yeah.

56:28PFT Commenter:Seahawks have also never lost or won a Super Bowl in Pacific time. That's true.

56:33Big Cat:We shouldn't even be talking about this. No, these are stats that don't matter. The Patriots winning a Super Bowl in all four time zones is pretty, pretty.

56:40PFT Commenter:Oh, is that more significant than winning the seventh? Yeah. No, not more significant, but it's significant.

56:46Big Cat:That is pretty cool. Yeah. It's just like one more thing that we can say.

56:49PFT Commenter:And the Seahawks are going for the sandwich, the two slices of sandwich, Eastern time zone and Pacific time zone. Yep. Where have they lost their Super Bowl? Central. Or no, Eastern. Eastern, they won one in Eastern.

57:00Big Cat:No, they lost one in Mountain. Lost one in Eastern, lost one in Mountain. No, they won one in Eastern, lost one in Eastern, lost in Mountain.

57:08PFT Commenter:They've not played one in Central.

57:10Big Cat:Yeah. Okay.

57:11PFT Commenter:Again, stats that don't matter. It's big time. This is really good stuff.

57:14Big Cat:I was just wondering if we could get a loss in all four time zones, but we can't do that. We can't. We can't. Memes, as the voice of all Jets fans.

57:22PFT Commenter:Could you get a loss in all four time zones? That's what I was asking.

57:26Big Cat:Yeah. No. No, because Central. Arizona, Minnesota. Yeah. Wait, is Minnesota Central? Yeah. Arizona's mountain.

57:36PFT Commenter:So, yeah, this could be... Indianapolis is Eastern.

57:41Big Cat:So, either way, you'll either win in all four time zones or lose.

57:45PFT Commenter:Lose in all four. Wow. Alright, I'm rebranding. This is now stats that matter a lot. You're going for time zone, all-time time zone winner or loser.

57:55Big Cat:Just when you thought this game couldn't mean anymore. It's literally the time zone. You talk about But like, win or go home. It's like, this is big stuff. That's a step that'll follow you around. Yeah.

58:07PFT Commenter:Because you're out of time zones. Oh, no.

58:09Big Cat:True. International.

58:12PFT Commenter:Fuck you. God damn it. That's the final zone. That was a low blow to say that because we know what's going to happen.

58:18Big Cat:Memes, as a voice for Jets fans, have you reached a final decision on what you'd rather see? Sam Darnold hoisting the Lombardi trophy or the Patriots winning another one? It's Sam Darnold.

58:29PFT Commenter:It's got to be Darnold. It's got to be. It's always Darnold. I'd be so happy for Sam Darnold if he won. He had so many opportunities to slander the Jets when he left and just never did.

58:37Big Cat:Oh, good guy. Yeah, really good guy. So we're Team Darnold. We're Team Seahawks. Oh, yeah. I'm fired up for Sam Darnold. And this is also one of those NFL scripted moments. Not like the Patriots haven't won since that ghost graphic or monographic, and Sam Darnold's life is ruined from that. And now he has the opportunity to win a Super Bowl before the Patriots got back. You're also wearing a Seahawks hat. Kind of No It was Canucks It's It's positive vibes only But it's kind of Seahawks colors That's probably a coincidence It has a green in it And a blue I don't think memes Would do that Just to mess with Hank

59:14PFT Commenter:He's wearing Positive vibes only It's gonna be That hat will be In the store soon For March Madness This would also be Back to back years Where Players from The 2019 Jets seen him Won the Super Bowl Who won the last year? Mekhi Becton Yep Braid of man So you guys are basically building Super Bowl champions Yep, Leonard Williams and Sam Darnold Yeah, you're building Super Bowl champions Can you talk us through What the game day Are you going to be getting drunk Are you going to be

59:43Big Cat:Yeah, oh yeah

59:45PFT Commenter:I didn't know if you were trying to be able to remember everything Are you going to the stadium at like 9am

59:51Big Cat:Yeah, there's like Dave bought a million tickets for Patriots fans at Barstool I think there's like 17 to 20 people and there's a bus picking us up from our hotel and going towards the stadium at like 10 a.m. So, yeah. I mean, I'm not going to get blackout drunk. I'm not going to get wasted, but I will have a few beers. I mean, yeah. Any champagne? No champagne. No champagne. He already tried that. Oh. What are you talking about? He did.

1:00:20PFT Commenter:He tried to sneak some champagne.

1:00:21Big Cat:Listen, this is not Hank's first rodeo. Okay, he knows how he's playing defense. The antenna's up. I gotta be better

1:00:28PFT Commenter:I feel like you're gonna be so sad to see us go

1:00:32Big Cat:Yeah I really am I might just come up here

1:00:38PFT Commenter:You should probably Drive PFT to the airport Just to make sure he gets on his flight

1:00:42Big Cat:I can stay I got a hotel room right by the stadium Yeah you should What if I just stayed there and then I could greet you after the game That'd be awesome Are there any other big Boston celebs coming into town Are we getting the Matt Damons of the world the Ben Affleck's the Mach-Walbugs you gotta think you think the Friday's usually the losers get out and the you know the fans come in so yeah well I'm not I'm not going until Saturday so right yeah

1:01:07PFT Commenter:call me a Max and memes with losers what do you mean Friday

1:01:10Big Cat:oh no I'm just saying generally I'm the current Super Bowl champ true yeah you gotta you gotta squeeze a few a few more of those out yeah just remind yourself

1:01:20PFT Commenter:okay so let's do our prop picks I love my props I love my props I love my props I love my props. And we're going to pick a few of them. 1:02:52Big Cat:Yeah. How about how about we we do three that are like kind of even money and then two juicy ones? That's fine.

1:03:00PFT Commenter:This is also really just for Max because he's guaranteed hasn't. Yeah, this is just a way of I mean, I'm going to get out of some. If I go over five, I will do five hours mandatory in a row consecutive. Okay. Who wants to go? We can we can do duplicates. because I'm doing tails. I'm going to put a very big bet on tails. Okay. That's my first prop.

1:03:22Big Cat:Tails has been super hot. Are you concerned with that? No, I just bet it every year no matter what.

1:03:28PFT Commenter:It's my favorite bet. I wish that you could bet on the coin flip on every single NFL game, and I wish they would do a coin flip during NBA games and baseball games, hockey.

1:03:39Big Cat:Okay, I've got one. DeMarcus Lawrence over a quarter of a sack, minus 110. So he didn't even get a half sack.

1:03:46PFT Commenter:Hank? You like that one? I actually, one non-juicy one, but I like it a lot, is total sacks over four and a half minus 150. That's for the whole game for both sides. Ooh, yeah, I like that. I like that. Maybe that's the one we throw into our parlay. I do like that. I like that a lot. You guys want to rip off your five? Yeah, rip off your five, Hank. You go.

1:04:08Big Cat:All right, so I had to place all these on Sunday before we left because I will be going to the game. So these are the ones I have, and I love them. So Matt Collins to have two plus receptions in each half, plus 700.

1:04:22PFT Commenter:Whoa. How many is he getting? Again, that's a lot.

1:04:27Big Cat:Yeah, it is a lot. That's a juicy one. That's plus 700. I mean, he hadn't been playing. I mean, he was injured, but I don't know. I could see it happening. I like Matt Collins, so that's why I took that one. Drake may to have either 50-plus rushing yards or a 50-plus yard long completion, plus 145. Love that one. I like that one. I like that one. I love that one. I like that one. Another one I love with all my heart.

1:04:52PFT Commenter:What's Drake Mays rushing prop? Because I like his over.

1:04:55Big Cat:It's about 38. I'm seeing 38 rushing yards minus 111. Okay. Will there be a flea flicker attempted? Yes. Ooh. Plus 170.

1:05:06PFT Commenter:I have similar, but total players have a pass attempt over two and a half, plus 160. Yeah, that one entails every single year. Remember last year? Kenny Pickett? Oh, yeah. Yeah, Kenny Pickett. Legend. Kenny Pickett.

1:05:20Big Cat:And then the last one I have is Kayshawn Booty to score a 40-plus yard receiving touchdown that's plus 1 ,200. Whoa. Wow.

1:05:28PFT Commenter:Okay. So that could cash the Drake May potentially into twofer. Wow.

1:05:35Big Cat:That's what I got.

1:05:36PFT Commenter:Okay. As a Patriots fan, I'm not picking any Seahawks ones.

1:05:40Big Cat:Less fun and then get progressively more fun. I like that. Throughout the way. I'm going to start with Drake May, 31-plus passing attempts. I just feel like Super Bowl, I think it's going to be a close game. It's going to be back and forth. I'm taking 31-plus passing attempts. Next, that's minus 109, DraftKings Sportsbook. The next is over a half a yard receiving for Jake Bobo, plus 156. Have to. Love it. Love it. Have to do it. I'll go with, okay, now I will do JSN. JSN is similar to Hank's bet. I have four plus catches for JSN in each half, plus 350.

1:06:19PFT Commenter:Okay.

1:06:20Big Cat:That's a lot. But JSN is so good. I don't know. We were watching that game the other day, or last week, and I feel like they could just throw it to him every single time if they wanted to. This one, Rashid Shahid, under 19.5 miles per hour, fastest ball carry speed. So you think he's going to be slow? That is not a fun bet.

1:06:43PFT Commenter:Wait, is that a kick return, too?

1:06:46Big Cat:That may change. So, number one, you're rooting for Rashid Jaheed to not get the ball. And then when he does get the ball, you hope that he's slow. How do you even track? Wait, wait. So you're rooting for the fastest guy on the field to be slow. I'm rooting for him to not get the ball. And you have no idea if it's like, oh, that looks like it's 18. I'm rooting for him to not get the ball. How are you going to find out if he's going 18 miles an hour? I don't know. This is also one that Ibo told me. He was like, I think all of the unders for the next-gen stats should. Ebo just told me he likes the unders and the fastest speed guys.

1:07:21Big Cat:All these squares out there think that the fast players are fast, but the Sharps know that they're not. Not us. And then my most fun future face of this league.

1:07:33PFT Commenter:Oh, he did it.

1:07:35Big Cat:Scotty Barnes will have more points than Rashid Shahid has receiving yards. Wow, that's so fun. Okay. That was worth it. That was so worth it. I didn't know if it was going to be worth it, but that was awesome. That was awesome.

1:07:46PFT Commenter:That was awesome. All right, Pifty, you want to go?

1:07:49Big Cat:I feel like I'm just sitting in the movie theater after Inception. Yeah. I told you it was coming. Holy shit, he did it. Holy shit, he did it. You also guessed it, and I was about to say it, but I'm happy that we saved it for this moment. I can't believe that. That was a complete joke. I've got a really fun one. You thought that maxes were fun. This is a really fun one. Over 49 and a half yards. gross of the first punt in the game. A 50-yard gross punt in the first one. Basically, I'm betting on the punt to take place prior to midfield. Yep. And if it's close to midfield, get down close to the end zone.

1:08:27Big Cat:Or if it's punted from like the 20-yard line, it just goes relatively far. And it's not a shank. But that's minus 110. And the return, too? Gross. Got it. Yeah, gross. Gross v. net. um remandre mvp 28 to 1 whoa whoa i like those odds whoa i like the value on remandre mvp uh here's a fun one kenneth walker and remandre stevenson to have five yards rushing in each

1:08:57PFT Commenter:quarter plus 450 what is it again say it again kenneth walker and remandre to both have five plus yards rushing in every quarter okay so like they both that's like you know maybe two carries

1:09:09Big Cat:per quarter for each of them, and it's plus 450. That's one of those ones that I saw, and I'm like, that seems like it should not be plus 450, meaning it's definitely a sucker's bet that I'm falling directly into.

1:09:20PFT Commenter:Yep.

1:09:21Big Cat:But it seems still like it.

1:09:22PFT Commenter:Like you look at those numbers.

1:09:23Big Cat:And then this is my personal favorite. I call it No Henry. The No Henry lock of the week. Hunter Henry to not score a touchdown, minus 340.

1:09:39PFT Commenter:That's the bet?

1:09:40Big Cat:That's the bet. No Henry. Okay. Mine is 340. I used to do no doinks. I love that. I fucking love that. You love that one? Yeah. You love that bet? You love no Henry? No, I love that you bet that. Why? Because it's going to make him scoring so much better. I love that. So you got to get on Hunter Henry. Yeah, you got to bet Hunter Henry. You got to bet Hunter Henry. I think that minus 340 is good. I used to do no doinks, and that was when it was at minus 500. Now, no doinks is minus 1 ,000. So, I don't think I can lay that juice.

1:10:13PFT Commenter:I like that. I like you putting yourself out there for one of these bets again. It's fun. No Henry. No Henry. Okay, I'm going to go not fun to fun just like Max did. The first one I like. Well, this won't count as a prop bet. I do like the Seahawks minus 2.5 first half.

1:10:35Big Cat:Sorry. Can I just say one thing? Yeah. If you were wondering, and you probably, the listeners' brains have been confused and annoyed with PFT for the last month, as I have, and maybe you're like, oh, maybe he actually is rooting for the Patriots. That right there tells you everything you need to know. What, Henry? No, Henry? Just all of, there was no, like, if you actually wanted the Patriots, you would be betting Patriots stats. Every single one of those stats was like Seahawks or Patriots Seahawks or anti-Patriots. Ramondre Stevenson, MVP, 28-1. Okay, that's anti-Drake May. Oh, wow. You think I did that to be anti-Drake May?

1:11:09Big Cat:What other MVP props do you have? I've got Josh Dobbs MVP. But yeah, that... That was good from Hank. That was point Hank. That was point Hank. We're finally done with this, but that tells me everything I need to know. I mean, another prop bet that I am taking, Demario Douglas, longest reception, over 25 yards, plus 582. I think you're seeing ghosts. Hank, you're seeing ghosts right now. I'm listening to you. When I put the Ramondre Stevenson MVP bet in, I was not thinking about Drake May at all. I saw 28-1 for the bell cow running back for one of the teams in the Super Bowl. He's been really, really good recently.

1:11:49Big Cat:They're feeding him. If he scores a few touchdowns, if he scores two touchdowns even, and has a big game, Super Bowl MVP, 28-1. You're a plus sign, Hunter. It's a good bet. Thank you. Now, admit that you were seeing ghosts on that one. No. That was not an anti-Drake bet. Sorry, Rick. The other one was. Sorry.

1:12:07PFT Commenter:Oh, that's fine. So I do like Seahawks minus two and a half first half. I think the Patriots have started slow in their playoff game. Seahawks have started fast. Like if you look at it, the Chargers game, it was 3-3 until the last minute. Drake May has that big run, 6-3, 7-7 in the Broncos game. Seahawks jumped all over the Niners. They played well against the Rams in the first half. So, yeah, minus two and a half first half. All right, so here are my prop bets. Tails is my first one. Always go Tails. Longest field goal made over 50 and a half yards. Good conditions. I think you might get a little conservative by both coaches.

1:12:49PFT Commenter:Try to take the points. Both kickers have legs. Two of them, actually. Over 50 and a half yards, longest field goal. I like Travion Henderson over, or sorry, Ramondre Stevenson over 25 receiving yards. and then here are my fun ones jsn those are the first three jsn more receptions than ohio state made threes against michigan earlier in the day i looked it up ohio state's averaging about seven and a half threes a game michigan has a really good uh three-point defense yes you could get screwed and if ohio state goes nuclear and that hits like 12 threes you're going to be in a pro but you could also have a really nice Sunday where they hit four threes.

1:13:35PFT Commenter:They're cold and you go into the Super Bowl and you have JSN to make five receptions.

1:13:40Big Cat:Would you rather lose the first leg of that first or the second? Like, would you rather? I want to be.

1:13:45PFT Commenter:I'm hoping that Ohio State is somewhere in the five to eight range. You can't lose the first leg.

1:13:52Big Cat:You can't lose the first point.

1:13:53PFT Commenter:Good point. And then here's my funnest bet. Oh, I forgot. You know what? Take out the Ramondre Stevenson. I forgot total players to have pass tempo over 2.5 plus 160. Got to have that one in there. By the way, that one was JSN plus 150. So you get some nice odds on that. Here's my favorite bet of all Super Bowl prop bets. Points scored, combined points scored in the Super Bowl plus U.S. gold medals in the winter games, 58. Okay. You guys like that? Yeah.

1:14:25Big Cat:Medals or gold medals?

1:14:26PFT Commenter:Gold medals.

1:14:27Big Cat:What's their medal? How many medals?

1:14:28PFT Commenter:12 and a half is the line. Yeah, I like that. It's just kind of fun because what if you get a shootout in the Super Bowl? Then you're like, oh, we just got to win two gold medals. And if you don't get it, if somehow the game's total points are 42, you're not dead. You just need the U.S.

1:14:44Big Cat:to do well. It's going to make you care about some sports that you absolutely do not give a fuck about. Yes. In the Olympics, which is fine.

1:14:51PFT Commenter:And so 58, I think, is minus 115. 60 is plus money. I might ladder this one. Do it. Just for the U.S. gold medals. I just like the idea that the bet's just not – you're still alive. It could be a 10-3 Super Bowl and you're like, what if we just go nuclear at the winter games? I don't even know if there's that many events. I don't even know how many events.

1:15:11Big Cat:Yeah, it's not the summer.

1:15:13PFT Commenter:I also was looking at one where I was like, you know what? You need to chill out. You need to stop. There was one that was like UNC Women's made threes and Drake May rushing. I saw that one. that's all that one i stopped myself on that yeah yeah chill out dude you're gone too far memes do you have yours uh yes so those are my official five because i was kind of all over the place tails total players to have a pass attempt over two and a half longest field goal made over 50 and a half yards jsn more receptions than ohio state threes plus 150 combined u.s gold medals

1:15:47Big Cat:plus points scored over 50 i regret that she eat one bad yeah that one i like dude you're rooting

1:15:53PFT Commenter:for i also am going to out of respect just because i do it every year it's a 22 to one for a kick return touchdown yeah it'd be fun imagine i also think this is not in my official five but i'm

1:16:07Big Cat:gonna bet both teams scored defensive touchdown defense or special teams touchdown the other one

1:16:11PFT Commenter:i was looking at that i'm not gonna bet because i can't root uh for no points but i saw points scored in the first 10 minutes no plus 270 oh that it feels like there's a feeling out process

1:16:26Big Cat:in the super bowls a little bit of punt punt situation i like the first quarter under yeah it's kind of the same vibe as that one yeah and you could just that's that's one it's a fun one to watch the clock that's a bet for people that like to make money but not root for exciting football yeah yeah i don't know which one i am i'm exciting football and losing money yeah

1:16:47PFT Commenter:Memes.

1:16:49Big Cat:Will there be a two-point conversion attempt? Yes, plus 155.

1:16:53PFT Commenter:Like that? I love that. Over fourth down conversions, over one and a half, plus 105. Like that. I also saw third down conversions was kind of low. I think the Patriots are like four and a half, and the Seahawks were five and a half. I think the total was over 11 and a half conversions. Okay. I might take that. Will there be an octopus? Yes, plus 1500. Like on the field? Octopus is so hard. All my props deal with two-point conversions. I actually like that strategy, though, because you don't have to keep looking at your phone to see, oh, how many yards does this guy have? You're just basically, if there's never a two-point conversion attempted, you know you lost everything.

1:17:31Big Cat:Successful two-point conversion, yes, plus 300.

1:17:34PFT Commenter:Okay.

1:17:35Big Cat:An offensive lineman to score a touchdown, yes, plus 2200.

1:17:38PFT Commenter:Whoa. Those are fun memes. Hey, it's super. Let's have some fun. Yeah. You know? I'm pumped. Okay, let's get to our interviews. We have Fred Warner and then Jake Bobo, who will be playing in the Super Bowl. Before we do that, PFT is going to talk to you about Pepsi Zero Sugar.

1:18:00Big Cat:We're all on a mission for self-discovery right now. And before we get to Fred Warner, we're going to do a little experiment of our own. We've got Pepsi's Super Bowl LX, and it is bringing to light a similar phenomenon of discovery and truth with us. Hank's been on a movement of discovery as well, discovering if he is left-handed or right-handed. We're all waiting with bated breath. And now he's discovering the Pepsi paradox, the idea that when labels and bias disappear, cola drinkers prefer the taste of Pepsi. It's a phenomenon that blind taste tests have repeatedly proven. In the 2025 revival of the Pepsi Challenge, 66 % of precipitants agree that Pepsi Zero Sugar tastes better than Coke Zero Sugar.

1:18:40Big Cat:Pepsi wins on taste. Sometimes you get to flip your world upside down to discover what's been right there the entire time. You deserve taste. You deserve Pepsi Zero Sugar. Let your taste decide. Go try it today. Hank, let's see what we got here. We got cup A, cup B. You're going to figure out which one you like better. All right. I'm going to start with cup B. Okay.

1:19:07Okay.

1:19:08Big Cat:Okay. Good taste. Now time for cup A. Now it's time for Cup A. You got it.

1:19:15Big Cat:Oh, yeah. Cup A. Cup A? All right. That was easy. Hopefully I don't know. Oh! Yeah. Pepsi Zero Sugar. Review the other one so they know. Yeah. There you go. Cup B is Coke Zero Sugar. Coke Zero Sugar. Yeah. So Max got it wrong. Hank got it right. Meme's got it right, too. Do I get to go on the wall? Yeah. Yeah. Hank, put your face on that wall. Defend the wall, Hank. You know how we do it.

1:19:36PFT Commenter:Good job, Hank.

1:19:38Big Cat:All right. Well, now we got superstar linebacker for the San Francisco 49ers, Fred Warner.

1:19:46PFT Commenter:Okay, we now welcome on a very, very, very, very special guest. It is the legend, four-time All-Pro, Fred Warner, here with Experian. What are you doing with Experian? Let's talk some Experian. Man, Experian, I call them my BFF, my big financial friend. Okay. They help you save time and money. They got an amazing app where they help you get rid of unwanted subscriptions. We all fall victim to it where we get all those subscriptions that got the low$5.99, the$10.99ers that kind of go under the radar, and so it helps you get rid of all those things. I'm big in that. I have way too many subscriptions.

1:20:20PFT Commenter:Exactly. Way too many. That's what we're here for. Yeah, and I'm doubled up with my wife on a bunch of them, and it's like, come on. Dude, yeah, so we got to help that out a little bit. I have a question about, so four-time All-Pro. Right. Four-time Pro Bowler. Sure. Are we still saying Pro Bowler? because of the way that it's kind of gotten. Yeah. It's gotten a little hairy. All-Pro is obviously way more important. I do hang my hat on the All-Pro. Yeah. Those do mean a lot. You know, they both mean a lot, though. I think it has gotten a little strange with kind of the alternates and that whole deal.

1:20:50I know that's kind of been a topic of combo this week. But, yeah, All-Pro is literally outright the best in the entire league at your position. So, you know, at the end of the day, I guess when you talk about all these accolades and in terms of like Hall of Fame and those sort of things, you're going to hang your hat on the All-Pros. So yeah, yeah. I'm going to try to get more, hopefully down the line. Yeah, that's the goal.

1:21:11Big Cat:I want to count you out. You look like you can play right now. Yeah, I could. Would you have played? Let's line up. Yeah. In the NFC Championship game? I would have played. Yeah. 100 %? 100 % I would have played. I would have too. I would have. The Niners have made it. I actually, I wouldn't have sat out any of the playoff games. Yeah, I know. I mean, I wouldn't have sat out the entire year if my ankle wasn't broken in half. Like that's where we were at. That's incredible though, that you're ready to go right now. Like, what did they tell you when you first got injured? Like, did they say this whole year?

1:21:37Big Cat:Well, yeah. I mean, it's, it's, it's probably not the best thing that when a guy's, you know, was facing the other direction and be like, all right, man, we're going to see how fast we can get you back. It was like, no, the combo on that training table in, in Tampa after I did it was like, all right, like, you know, the cert, we're going to do the surgery and I'm asking questions like, am I ever going to be able to play football again? Like that was the conversation. Well, it wasn't like, all right, doctor, how quick can I come back? You know, it's like it's a horrific injury that you kind of you hope that you never have to go through.

1:22:04But then you look on the other side of it. It's like, all right, they put that thing back together. They put them plates and the screws in there. You start doing a rehab and you're like, oh, wow, like I'm kind of progressing quicker than anticipated. And then that's when the convo started. Like, all right, Fred, are you ready mentally for us to kind of change your rehab process? We're going to have to expedite this thing if you do want to make it back for the playoffs.

1:22:22Big Cat:Yeah. How much of that is physical compared to mental when it gets time to start getting out there and running on it, cutting off for the first time? Like, was that was there a mental hurdle you had to get over? For me, no. I think for a lot of guys, there is. And I think just hearing those stories of like different guys when they sustain a different big injuries like an ACL or an Achilles and you start doing jumps and stuff again for the first time. You talk about the mental hurdle that you have to overcome. and I think since I knew that that was a thing it was almost like a challenge that I took on of like no I'm gonna make sure that's not a thing like let's get the biggest box we can get let me see if I can do a one-legged like jump on it you know I'm saying like so I kind of attacked it that way even though it may have been a little like crazy way of thinking that's just how I'm I kind of I've I've made a name off of living in delusion almost you know I'm saying so like I kind of just like was living in delusion a little bit when it came to recovering from this it's like oh yeah let me get recover in three months and play an NFC championship game it's like it's bro are you kidding it's like yeah but you do it you know what i'm saying were you close to playing

1:23:21PFT Commenter:in the game against seattle like what was the process there where did you test it that week so before that week it was uh philly and the whole the whole uh plan all along was for me to wait it off as long the doctors wanted me to push it off as long as possible to decrease the risk of re-injury till that nfc championship week they're like we're just gonna throw you out there and nfc championship practices and then that's the only week of prep you're gonna get and in my mind i'm I'm like, I don't really want that to be the first time I'm actually stepping back out there after I did. So I just asked the question.

1:23:52I was like, hey, can I open my practice window, the divisional round, get out there for a day of practice just to run through individual drill, be out there with the fellas, boost morale, and then we'll see where we're at. And then they agreed. So that's why I was out there that Thursday practice in the divisional round. That was the clips everybody was seeing of me being back out there. um you know and so that the the thought of me playing in the divisional round only got sparked because everybody was like oh he looks actually pretty good in in those clips like maybe he is going to play but the plan all along was for the nfc championship yeah i said week uh maybe week 14

1:24:23Big Cat:week 15 that this might be kyle shanhan's best job coaching and why is that all that the niners had to overcome this year there you go and you talk about the injuries you can also talk about like going back and forth between brock purdy and mac jones and and not losing a step from that the substation that you've had to deal with we are fellows it's the first year of us dealing with that you knew that we had the guy on our show

1:24:46PFT Commenter:did you really? who's the guy? the guy who like made the substation? no he was the guy who was like first like hey this substation he's very divorced he just kept on talking about how divorced he was

1:24:58Big Cat:he's the most divorced guest that we've ever had on part of my take did he get divorced because he was talking about the substation I think the substation was like filled the void of his divorce got it got it got it like he got really into learning about electromagnetic fields what did he say i'm i'm now i'm actually interested to see what he said well he went to in and out and he got some burgers and uh then he was like hey there's a substation here and so then yeah then he's like i'm a real expert you guys he measured oh yeah big time yeah he's just asking questions is there a problem with asking questions no not at all i i love asking questions as well that's why i'm asking these questions

1:25:30PFT Commenter:i came to the conclusion that uh it's it's not nothing but it's probably closer to nothing than everyone's making it. I like that. You probably don't want to be next to a substation. Sure. Ideally, but also it's probably close to nothing. Exactly. Who cares?

1:25:46Big Cat:We work next to one and look at us. We're super healthy. I see it. Yeah. You guys look great. I'll take you on right now. Again, I would have taped it up and gone back in that game in Tampa. That's how healthy I am. Back to the Kyle thing. I think that this has been his best job coaching. He's had some great years coaching football But this year seemed to stand out to me. And my point of view after watching you guys play all year was that it seemed like the 49ers, they got everything that they possibly could have gotten out of the season. Sure. Do you feel the same way or do you still feel like, hey, we should have beaten the Seahawks?

1:26:20No, I do feel the same way. And at the end of the day, man, you need your horses when you're going up against the guys who have their best players. You know what I'm saying? Like to not have me and Bosa on defense, those two in itself, I think are big enough hits where it's going to be hard to, you know when you start getting into that that NFC championship divisional round type of games where you you need those guys to make the plays and the times we have been healthy man we've been in that game down the street right we've been in Super Bowls and haven't had a chance of winning them now did we make that that hurdle and win one no not yet and I think that's why people kind of don't have Kyle in that conversation of greatest coaches to do it because he just hasn't been able to to be at the very tip of the top of the mountain but it's only a matter of time it's not it's not a thing of like oh is Kyle Schreiner ever going to get a trophy it's like no no he's going to get one because he's that good and you see that in the moments of the greatest turmoil how great a leader truly is because yeah a leader can look damn good when he has all the best all pros and pro bowls to his disposal but what happens when you lose your franchise quarterback for a majority of the season what happens when you lose all your all pros on the defense side of the ball and how does that ship keep going you get 12 wins it's like okay now now we're talking

1:27:24PFT Commenter:who's the best of the best yeah I actually think if I were John Lynch I would just never get really good players because then they can't get injured and you can't have a season from hell. Yeah, correct. I don't know about that thought process, but I see where you're getting at. Yeah, if you never have a Fred Warner and a Bosa, you can't lose them to injury. For sure. You get a bunch of like middle of the road guys. Yeah, okay. Middle of the road guys.

1:27:49Big Cat:What if, all due respect, what if you guys are second string next year and then after all the first string guys get in, then we come in. You guys step up you're already going to be in the playoff we might have something there but we'll probably still find a way to mess it up no I'm just kidding but yeah man I think we'll figure it out we're constantly working on the whole injury thing it's a tough division that you guys are what did you say the googly eyed dragon I did make that comment about the googly eyed dragon it seemed to have gone over well I didn't know that there were that many Arizona Cardinals fans out there it seemed like that was a pretty safe and listen to their credit I said, unfortunately, this year they happen to be that team.

1:28:31You know what I'm saying? And here's another thing, too, is I got a lot of respect for Gannon. Even though he got fired with the Cardinals because he didn't have a great year this year, I thought he was doing some good things with their squad because they battled us harder than they'd ever battled us since Gannon got hired to their team. But, of course, if you're not producing wins, then they're going to get you out of there and they're going to get the next group in there. But, yeah, we'll see how LaFleur does over there.

1:28:55PFT Commenter:Yeah. So, all right. So, sticking with the NFC West. So let's talk a little Super Bowl. What is it about the Seahawks? What do they do? You guys played them, obviously, three times. You played in the first game. The other two, you were still out. But what has made it so that they are in this game and they have had such an incredible season? Yeah, I mean, you mentioned it right there. I was in the one game we won against them, and then I wasn't in the other two. You're the Seahawks stopper. I'm the Seahawks. No, I'm the Seahawks. But they got a loaded roster, bro. And more than that, I think Mike McDonald has done a great job have instilled in the right culture within their team because the way that they play the game in all three phases is exactly how we play the game.

1:29:34You know what I'm saying? And that's a credit to what he's been able to build in such a short amount of time and to be in a Super Bowl. They've been able to stay healthy with the caliber of players that they've had. Sam Donald playing the best ball that he's ever played. You know, playing that way also in the playoffs is what's given them a chance to be in a Super Bowl. And, you know, if Sam can continue to do that in the Super Bowl, then there's no reason why they shouldn't hoist a trophy.

1:29:58PFT Commenter:So I assume you still – did you sit in the meetings like before the playoff game and before week 18? I did, yeah. So what are you trying to do when you're trying to stop the Seahawks? What is like the main – is it JSN? Is it the run game? Like what are you trying to get them into to stop them? For most – any game plan that we have, man, it's always trying to stop the run first and make them one-dimensional because if you can force them into a game where they're having to pass the ball, then you can now start manipulating different things with your coverages, with how you want to blitz the passer, you know, dictate pressures and stuff like that.

1:30:32But if they can run the ball, which is in their system, which, you know, Kubiak's system is just like our system with Shanahan, you know, the run and the pass marry up together where they open up the pass game through running the football. So Kenneth Walker coming alive during the playoffs with Charbonnet going down was probably the worst thing that could happen for everybody because he's had this ability in his body for so long that's been just itching to kind of come out where he can hit the home run ball at any time. He's just got this ability. He's just like the Energizer Bunny. He just runs all over the place, breaking tackles, back and forth, and at any time it could be 80 yards.

1:31:08So you have to be able to stop the run and make them one-dimensional, and then we can see if Sam Darnold can continue to deliver the passes without throwing it to us.

1:31:16PFT Commenter:So you mentioned their run game being similar to your guys' run game and that like Shanahan, you know, coaching tree and how they want to run the ball. Like what are the rules to stopping that? Because if you watch it, the beauty of especially the Niners run game is like when McCaffrey gets the ball, he has like nine different ways he can go. Right. And there's, you know, the cutbacks always there and he can stretch it out. Yes. And it's like it seems like it's an impossible task because he can just go every direction. For sure. So what do you – like from a defensive perspective, what are the rules to what you're trying to do?

1:31:46Well, in the run game especially, you're trying to set hard edges to the defense. The way that McCaffrey and our system has success is if they're able to kind of, on those stretch plays, they want to be able to stretch the ball as far out on the field as possible and then cut the ball back. When the ball started over here, you want to cut it back over here because you drew the play all the way over this way. So it's kind of like just manipulating space on the field. And if you're able to set a hard edge to start the down, now you're forcing the running back to make a quick decision. It's like, all right, do I cut back into the teeth of the defense right now or do I try to continue to stretch it out where ultimately there's a guy right there and you're getting tackled?

1:32:22Right. On defense, you've got to set hard edges and you've got to be physical at the point of contact because if you let them just kind of keep driving you out, that's exactly what the offense wants.

1:32:30PFT Commenter:Is that like a difficult thing, underrated difficult thing when you're playing defense where you're like, hey, I have a rule for where I'm supposed to be, but I also think I can make the play, and that's when you can get burned? Yeah. I mean, you're so good that you probably can go make the play. No, we're not going to say that. But especially for the edge setters, I would say, because it could be a defensive end. It could be a linebacker. It even could be a defensive back depending on the play call. But the hard part when going against these schemes and against our scheme is we'll manipulate the play.

1:32:59You see all these shifts, all these motions before the snap even starts because we're not ever just going to line up and be like, all right, set the edge on our tackle and we can't run. No, we're going to take juice and we're going to fast motion this way and we're going to seal the edge, make him bump you into our tackle now making his job easier, and he can now move on to the second level. Or we might just have our receiver in a cut split chopped down, and he's going to crack you, and then we're going to pull the tackle, and we're going to get around the – it's all different ways to get from point A to point B.

1:33:26Right. And so that's what the hardest part is as a defender playing our scheme is like you kind of have your eyes – your head on a swivel, like where are they coming from? Where's the block coming from? Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's not just straight up one-on-one block.

1:33:36Big Cat:You've had a lot of great defensive coordinators too in your time in San Fran. Great coordinators. Who's the biggest psycho that you've ever played for? The biggest psycho coordinators? Yeah. Man, maybe Robert. You think Robert's – Oh, Sala. He seems like he's got some crazy – You saw what he said to Cohen after the game this past year. Did you see that? They got into it. Yeah, that was good. I think he said, I'll end your life or something like that. Yeah, yeah. Something crazy. Yeah, I believe that. I believed him when he said that. I don't want to spark that back up. But yeah, it was something that – it was a heated exchange because of something else that was built up during the week.

1:34:09But yeah, Sala, he got that dog in him for sure. And that's what you need.

1:34:13Big Cat:Yeah. Whenever he'd be addressing the media in his time in New York, it was like he had to put on the head coach, I'm going to address you respectfully. Correct. But he also wanted to murder every reporter in that room. Most definitely. All the time. Yeah. The clocks were ticking behind his head. New York is brutal. It seems like it is. Seems like it's a tough place to play. Yeah. What about D 'Amico? What's he like? Straight dog. I mean, he's a guy who played at an all-pro and pro-bowl level as a linebacker who then is your linebacker coach. His first year as a linebacker coach was my first year in the league.

1:34:46And so we kind of grew up in this thing together and then watching him go on to be the head coach for the Texans and watching his post-game speeches to their team, I'm like, damn, I miss him. He's just such a – the most pure leader of men. If you had him in the dictionary, you'd see a picture of D 'Amico Ryans.

1:35:01Big Cat:Was he tougher on you because he was a linebacker? Oh, absolutely. Oh, my God. I was surprised that they didn't bench me my rookie year. after some of them games I would come. I think it was a Thursday night game against Green Bay where I couldn't do nothing right. We were on the road, and Aaron Rodgers probably had 5 ,000 yards, 10 ,000 touchdowns, and I messed up everything. And I thought I was getting benched that game, and they stuck it out with me. It was different back then. We didn't win anything. You think you're going to be coached one day? No. Not interesting. Bro, I just see the hours that they have to put in.

1:35:31Yeah, you're doing media already. You're away from your family even more than you were when you were a player. So I don't know if I would do that. Yeah, Mike McDonald's never met his son. It's crazy.

1:35:41PFT Commenter:And now he's at the Super Bowl. You know what I mean? The price he got to pay. He might let him meet him after the Super Bowl.

1:35:46Big Cat:Yeah. Instead of the trophy. Yeah. He'd voice up his son like Simba. Oh, man. Like, yeah, I got him. I got him. Brutal business, but that's what it requires of you, man. It requires all of you.

1:35:57PFT Commenter:Yeah. It does. Yeah. So you're doing some of the pregame with NBC, right? Yeah, yes. And Kyle Shanahan. And so, like, media, you're very good on the mic. what are you, like, are you nervous at all? I mean, you've been in, you've played in two Super Bowls. Right. Are you nervous to do the media for the Super Bowl? No, I mean, it is, it's interesting, I think. It'll be interesting. I don't know. I think I'll kind of just go with whatever I feel that day. And talking about the Super Bowl is going to be much different than playing in a Super Bowl. Yeah. But if anything, I think talking about it is way easier than playing.

1:36:28No, no, wrong. Yeah, yeah.

1:36:29Big Cat:It's harder. Is it? Yeah, yeah. Like, our job on Super Bowl Sunday, I think it's harder than playing. What do you guys do? eat. You have to eat a lot of food. You have to eat a lot of food. So probably you get like a stomach bug. Get all your bets in. So it's a lot. The bets. You can't forget the betting. It's a lot. I haven't been a part of that yet. Then you have to overreact to everything that just happened in the game. There it is. The team that wins are the greatest team that's ever played. Team that lost. I'm going to see how many hot takes I can fit into an NBC situation there. Yeah, whoever wins it's like, is this the start of a dynasty?

1:37:00Big Cat:Is this the best team ever? I'm still trying to decide. Do I go the route of boosting up Seattle so they hopefully they lose or or do I tell them that they're not good and then Patriots build them up I don't know yeah I'm trying to figure that out so all right so what about like

1:37:14PFT Commenter:playing in the Super Bowl you played in two how different is it like the actual when you get to the game and and you know we we everyone talks about like the speed yeah and obviously the halftime is longer but was it an adjustment to be in the Super Bowl where it's like it takes a couple series to get fully into the game it definitely does uh I would speed wise if anything the speed is slower in a Super Bowl. It's very, very strange. I felt that way in my first Super Bowl when I was only in my second season. I felt like that was the slowest the game has felt. But it was different because it's such a, the day is so long.

1:37:46First of all, it's two weeks of prep, which have nothing to do, I mean, yeah, the first week you try to keep it as normal as possible to your regular preparation, but that second week is almost nothing to do with football. You go out there, you practice, but you do all the little stupid interviews and all that other stuff that ain't got nothing to do with playing football. And then you finally get to the game and it's the longest day of your life. The pregame is longer. The timeouts are longer. The halftime is longer. So by the time you get to the fourth quarter, that first game I was dead in that fourth quarter and I didn't know what to expect.

1:38:17And so I just ran out of fumes. I think our team ran out of fumes when it came down to really having to play our best ball. So the second time around, I made a conscious effort of, man, every time we get to the sideline, you better sit down and shut up. Don't waste any energy. Don't celebrate nothing. Don't do nothing but just sit there because we're going to need all our energy. We got into overtime that game, and it was still – at that point, I'd given it all. And, you know, it's just – it's draining. It's a draining game. Do you think you should have played defense first in overtime? No. And I'll tell you why.

1:38:50You're wrong, and I'll tell you why. I'll tell you why. Okay. Why we shouldn't. Then I'll tell you why. And I'll tell you why. So this is the thing, right? We can go all day. I'll tell you why. We'll have a why off. We had just got done on defense, stopping Patrick Mahomes and their offense from going down and scoring the game-winning touchdown to win the game. We were up in that game by three points in the fourth quarter. They drove us down on like a 15-play drive. I remember being man-to-man on Travis Kelsey on that last third down before they had to kick the field goal. And he ran a corner route, which I had seen him run on Kyle Hamilton, I want to say in the AFC Championship game the week before or the week before that individual.

1:39:28And he scored the touchdown. So I knew exactly the route he was running. And I go, Pat throws the ball. I barely tip it away. And I get up and I'm just like, holy smokes, I'm fried. And so then they kick the field goal. They tie it up. We go to overtime. And I'm sitting there at the coin toss. And you can kind of see I'm just trying to catch my breath still. So if our defense had to go back out there to start overtime, we're dead tired. Let our offense go out there and fight for a little bit and then let us go get a chance at it. That's a fair point.

1:39:57PFT Commenter:Okay, but then also you gave them four downs to come back. Didn't you get them to fourth down twice? We did get them to fourth down. I think you got them right away almost. Was it? I think it was fourth and one. You may know better than me. It's such a blur. It's either the first set of downs or the second set of downs. We definitely had them on a fourth down on one day. On their own side of the field, which they would have maybe had to punt if they had gotten the ball first. That's why. Would they have punted? I don't know. Yeah, we'll never know. If you don't get it there, the game is literally over.

1:40:26PFT Commenter:Yeah, yeah. So it's just interesting with the new overtime rules. It is. Having that extra down and knowing exactly what you need. Most definitely. It is a little bit of an advantage. You definitely know no matter what, you go defense first now. It's just what it is. But I think given the circumstance of our game, I'm okay. So it was your fault. Your cardio, yeah. I think it's my fault. Yeah, my cardio. I'm the one that made the decision at the coin toss. I wouldn't have gotten tired. Put it on me, baby. That's all right. We'll get another chance. We were rooting for you guys hard. because Kittle's a good friend of ours.

1:40:58PFT Commenter:And it was like right there. How long did it take you, not to bring up bad memories, but how long did it take you to get over? I'm still not over now. It's funny, too, because you don't forget about it, but you stop thinking about it. And then you get to Super Bowl week, and you start talking about it again. It's like, oh, shoot, I forgot all about that. Well, here's a spin zone for you. The second loss probably helped you get over the first loss because the second loss was worse. Oh, Christ. I mean, look. They both sucked. Yeah. I know. But here's the thing. I would never take it back. I would never say, man, I wish I just didn't play in any of the Super Bowls because I'm so afraid of losing them.

1:41:35I'll go back and I'll lose two more. No, you're going to win the next one. I don't care. But yeah, we are going to win the next one. But what I'm trying to say is I'm not afraid of losing a Super Bowl. You know what I'm saying? It's more meaningful to have been there and played in it and have an opportunity to go fight for it.

1:41:49PFT Commenter:It's also probably awesome being part of an organization where it's like you guys have a realistic chance to be in the Super Bowl every single year. Most definitely. You know, it's like you guys have the guys, you have the coaching staff, you have the GM. Correct, and so it's only a matter of time, man. And the next one, we definitely win in it, I guarantee, next year. Yeah, because it's one of those things. Sports are so stupid like this, but the Niners have been – you guys have had such an awesome run, and it's just that last piece. And once you get that last piece, I feel like people will acknowledge just how good these teams have been.

1:42:15Most definitely. Yeah, which is stupid.

1:42:16PFT Commenter:We should just acknowledge it. Listen, it's all good, man. That's just part of how it goes. And maybe the substation will give us some extra superpowers after this year. Yeah, you've got to harness it. If we just embrace it and let it soak like the Hulk. Charge up. Charge.

1:42:30Big Cat:Use that charge to really go to the Super Bowl. I think that's the right mentality. I got one more bad memory that maybe we can talk about just a little bit. Wow. The NFC Championship game against the Eagles. Okay. Every quarterback on your roster gets injured. Right. Did anybody on defense volunteer to take snaps in the second half? I would have. I would have volunteered, but I know that was never going to fly. Now, what I wish we would have done, we would have aired it out with CMC. I mean, he did try to throw that one little reverse pass out there, and he didn't throw it to anybody. But maybe if we would have let him do it a little dryback, or Juice.

1:43:04Juice is like a backup quarterback. Let him kind of toss the pill around a little bit. Jawan Jennings now. Jawan Jennings could have maybe did it.

1:43:12PFT Commenter:Higher ranked than Lamar Jackson. Really? In Rivals. High school? Yeah. And Joe Burrow. And Joe Burrow. Yeah. Yeah, he was the number two ranked quarterback in his class. He was ahead of Kyler Murray, too, I think. Isn't that crazy? No, not ahead of Kyler Murray. Kyler Murray was the best high school player to ever go. I'm pretty sure. I'll find it. Please look it up. That'd be great to see.

1:43:30Big Cat:Kyler Murray might have been number one. He might have been number three. But he was ahead of Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson. I didn't know that. I mean, he's a fantastic athlete. So, I mean, it makes sense. But, yeah, I mean, at the end of the day, we never had a shot. You guys would have smoked him if you had a quarterback. We had to turn off passing in the game. I know. We played with passing turned off. You would have smoked him. It wasn't Kyler.

1:43:50PFT Commenter:He was higher ranked than Sam Darnold, Joe Burrow, and Lamar Jackson. Still impressive. That's pretty crazy. Yeah, still very impressive. I don't know how that happened where they switched him over to receiver. Yeah. All right. I got one more bad memory. It's actually not a bad memory. It's more of a I want you to narrate what happened. Sure. When you were playing in Philadelphia that regular season, or maybe it was the year after. The year after. And the little scuffle happens on the sideline. Yeah. Dre Greenlaw, he comes back to the sideline. Was he like, dude, that big Italian guy would have fucked me up.

1:44:20PFT Commenter:because I bet you he did. First of all, Dre would never say that. Yeah, he probably did. He's like, that guy was serious business. Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. Big Dom is serious business. Better straighten up and fly right, guys. Dom, Dom needed to look out for Dre Greenlaw. No, you got to look out for Dom. No, you. You don't understand Dom. Who is that? I don't understand Dom, no. I don't know anything about him. I don't even know why he was there on the sideline. I don't know what that was. I mean, what do you mean? But you knew he was there. Yeah, he was keeping order. He got kicked out. and then they lost the game they did lose the game that was actually a great

1:44:54Big Cat:ejection for Dre it's like yeah I'll give up Dre Greenlaw if it means that Big Dom yeah no I mean you never want guys getting kicked out of games man you want to be able to see how it unfold but yeah Big Dom it seemed like he the man over there in Philly he the man he is beloved so he obviously doing what he's supposed to do but in that particular moment yeah that was unfortunate it was wild it was wild yeah to be part of all that very fun that was an electric game though after all the build-up from the year before right of all the talk of oh let's see the boohoo niner is gonna walk up in i forget who said that it's on reddick you know you gotta strap it up and come back in the link and then we did just that and put belts how much how much of like

1:45:35PFT Commenter:bulletin board stuff actually plays in because i does it's it's like it's so weird because you guys are obviously all so good and professionals but i do think there are things is like let down spots and games that you circle like and when you have someone talk shit before a week does it it riles everyone up I mean I don't know about everyone I can only speak personally I think I'm always trying to make it as personal as I can because you just there's something that you're there's just going to give you a certain edge to about yourself if it if it is personal right now it doesn't even mean that they have to say something about you or about the team to give you that edge like you can make something up completely in your mind and I do that a lot where I just make something up to be like, no, it's personal now with this team.

1:46:15And so to get you in that frame of mind where it's like it's you or me and almost kind of like if we're fighting, that's just kind of what this game is. It's such a violent game, and it's kind of just mano y mano, big on big. So you kind of have to have some sort of edge, and I always try to play with that sort of edge.

1:46:31Big Cat:Yeah. Do you hate the Seahawks? Yeah. I like that. I respect that. Yeah. So you want them to lose? Yes. You don't want to see the Seahawks hoisting Lombardi in your stadium? You can clip it however you want. However you want. Do I hate the Seattle? Do I not want them to win? Listen, any division rival. It could have been the Cardinals. I would have said the same thing. But when you see a team twice a year and you have the battles like they do, like, yeah, I mean, Patriots by 50. I like it.

1:46:56PFT Commenter:That's what I've said all week. Who else do you hate? There's something a little extra juice in that game. Eagles, I would assume. I guess the Eagles have kind of built up that little bit of something. It makes it so much more fun, by the way. Oh, yeah. are so much more fun when there's something when there's something like extra about it yeah that's why when we have since we have such a good division like seattle and the rams and we'll see if the cardinals can you know make their way back like it makes those games so much more fun because when you have something more to play for yeah as a player man it's just yeah it's just more fun yeah we you know we created like a i wouldn't even say a rivalry but like even detroit you know a couple years ago when we had that comeback against them and i i had a mon raw on my podcast and he's talking about last year how it was like the most mad he was ever been going into a game and I had no idea that they were even feeling that sort of way like but that's just what happens when you lose these meaningful games it creates like this this hatred and you like I gotta go get those Niners now like it's just it makes the game that much more fun when you're when you're playing a game like the NFC championship game and there was obviously a lot of talk afterwards about you know Dan Campbell not kicking field goals when you're on the the field are you hoping that they go for it or you because we always our argument from like when we're sitting there watching the game it's like if you're watching the game and you're a Niners fan you're hoping they uh go for it no you're hoping they kick a field goal because you're like if they go for it they're going to score a touchdown sure so it's like you're almost rooting like the minute they go for it like great like let's just stop them so is that going through your head uh I mean it's got to be weird like when you get to that fourth down you're like all right we did our job wait it's so much harder when you have to play a full four downs rather than just the three because in most instances, you're playing for the three downs, knowing that if you get off the field on three, you're off the field after the three.

1:48:41But when it is a team like the Lions, where they're so committed to going forward on fourth down, you have to play an extra down. We talked about being gassed and how out of shape I am. Like, shoot, I'm out there. Not out of shape. Yeah, I'm out there just freaking out now fourth down. And they're so good at what they do on fourth down, especially back then. So, yeah, I mean, I don't know if I was hoping that they would go forward, But that's ultimately what gave us a chance to come back in that game because they did go forward and they didn't convert in those crucial moments.

1:49:07Big Cat:Yeah. Is there one guy in the NFL that maybe a good player that thinks he has a rivalry against you, but you don't think that it's a rivalry? You don't think about him? Yeah. I wouldn't know unless he came out, stepped forward and named himself because a lot of these guys, they hold these grudges behind the door I don't know about. Will you talk trash to anybody or does it have to – you have to meet a certain level of player? No, I'll talk to anybody. But I'd say it's probably evolved over time. Yeah, it's evolved over time.

1:49:37PFT Commenter:So you were teammates with Sam Darnold for a year. Great deal. What was it – because that was kind of in his reclamation of his path through the Jets and the Panthers and the Niners to the Vikings. What was it like playing with him? And could you – like honest assessment when you're playing with him, he's the backup, but are you like, hey, he's going to have another shot? Yeah, I mean, you actually get a great look at the backup when you're the starting defense because you're going against that guy usually on the scout team. He's getting those reps against you every single day of practice. So Sam always had this ability to throw the ball and put it wherever he wanted on the field, especially in our system.

1:50:13We roll our quarterbacks out a lot where you have to throw the ball on the run, and I think he throws the ball on the run, whether it's to his right or his left, as good as anybody. So, I mean, you saw that every single day, and it was a great fit for our team. I mean, he was a great dude, fit right in. So, yeah, I think it was only a matter of time before he got another shot. And then he did with Minnesota. Phenomenal year. Yeah. He had that narrative to him where it was like he can't win the big one. So what happens? Their team loses against a really good Rams team, right? It's a team thing.

1:50:43Like, it's not – of course, the quarterback has to do a lot with wins and losses because they have the ball in their hands usually at the end of it. But, you know, they let him walk out that door, and now Seattle has the pleasure of being able to try and go win a Super Bowl with him. Yeah.

1:50:55Big Cat:Yeah, it's been fun to watch him. I can't help but root for Sam Donald, seeing how he's gone through the league and just kept improving, improving, improving. It's pretty cool to watch. There's a guy that's on your team, Brock Purdy, that I think it took a while for people to warm up to him, to be like, okay, this guy's legit. Sure. Probably just a byproduct of where he was drafted. Absolutely. If you watched him in college, a little inconsistent at times. But it seems like this season he's unlocked something else where who taught him how to gritty? Who taught him how to – there was one game – That is the Dougie.

1:51:28Big Cat:Well, no, no, no. He gritted once, but there was one game where he Dougied twice. He had prepared two different Dougies. I think he had like the Euro step into a Dougie on one of them. And that's just how you know you're just in a flow state. You're out there just fooling around on them. You throw that – you saw that play that he had when he did that. He was like he dodged two guys and then just kind of threw it to the Jews right there in the corner and then just ran off. and I'm like, that's my QB. I'm up in the box because I'm hurt and I'm up there just going crazy. You get double-doggied by Brock Purdy.

1:52:01Big Cat:That's a tough day. Yeah, it is a tough day. He was in the zone. I'm a Bears fan. He was in the zone in that game. He threw a pick six to start the game. Start the game, yeah. That's not a good start. But guess what? It doesn't matter because you're Brock Purdy. You go out there, you keep slinging that thing, and he gave us the opportunity to win that game. He'll give us an opportunity to win every game going forward. This man is the man. and just, I mean, I go all day about him.

1:52:23PFT Commenter:So when did it switch for you? Because I can't. It never did. No, so you're saying the first thing you saw. I didn't know he would be what he is now. Right, but was there a moment where you're like, oh, this is not just, I'm not saying you always didn't love him. I'm just saying like, was there a moment that you can remember where you're like, oh, yeah, he is in a level that people don't realize. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I think in terms of like elite ball being played, probably that year in 23 when he was up for contention to be the MVP of the league. You know, because at that position and in our league in general, you have to be consistent over a longer period of time before you really start getting crowned as a certain type of individual.

1:53:04You know what I'm saying? Like you can be a flash in the pan. You can win in all pro ones. You can win a Pro Bowl one time. But you've got to be able to do it over a sustained amount of time. So, you know, I think Brock from the moment he came in when Jimmy G went down against the Dolphins and he showed some elite ball being played, even back then when he first came in, he's been able to do it consistently over time again and again and again. And he only is getting better. And this past season is the best he's ever played, in my opinion. And obviously I had a front row seat now since I was injured to really watch him and talk to him and be like, man, how are you just such in the zone?

1:53:39He's like, man, I'm just playing ball. I'm just doing my thing.

1:53:43PFT Commenter:Well, and I think it's stupid by us, talking about the media and fans. The round you get drafted, it takes a while. No, it does. When I've heard he gets drafted in the seventh round, it takes an extra couple of years. It'll always be attached to him forever. You probably had it too, where your third round draft pick, you are one of, if not the best defensive players out on the field in the last five years. Was there a moment, though, that you were like, oh, I'm awesome at this? because I would imagine there's a little bit of you like, you know, when you start, you talk about the game against the Packers where it's like, you know, you're struggling.

1:54:17PFT Commenter:But was there a moment where it clicked like, oh, I fucking, I'm sick. I mean, that's a great way to put it. No, thanks, bro. I mean, keep it coming. Please, more. There was a moment in my third season where we played Aaron Rodgers on Thursday night and they obliterated us. But he came out to me after the game and I had been doing my thing that year. And I was mic'd up. So the mic caught him coming up to me and be like, hey, Fred, you're the best linebacker in the league. You deserve to be all pro this year. And I was like, that means the world coming from Aaron Rodgers, Hall of Fame, Aaron Rodgers, MVP multiple time.

1:54:53And so that was kind of a moment for me where I think that kind of took me to that next level. When you have a guy of that caliber kind of giving you your flowers, I think that ultimately helped me go on to be an all pro that year for the first time. So it was dope.

1:55:07PFT Commenter:Was there a moment, too, where the game got slower for you, where you're almost in a zone, where you're like, hey, I can read. I know. I've done this enough now that I know what's going to happen. Halfway through my second season, that whole offseason going into my second year, I was coming off of a scope in my knee. So kind of trying to deal with that to start the year. I had Quan Alexander next to me. He's coming off of a torn ACL, but just a straight dog brought this swag to our defense. And I didn't have the best start to my second year. It was kind of rocky a little bit. And then something just clicked where it was on, I think, a Sunday night or a Monday night game against Seattle at home.

1:55:43And I had my first two career sacks against Russell Wilson, who at the time was like the hardest guy to get on the ground. I had two sacks against him, punched the ball out in prime time. We didn't end up winning that game, but like me making those type of plays, it kind of let me know like, all right, boom, like I'm finding my groove now. And I went on to like win November's like Defensive Player of the Month and stuff like that. But it kind of just started to like instill that confidence in me of like, OK, I can do this. Yeah, that's awesome.

1:56:07Big Cat:You were talking about being up in the booth, and then I saw that there was one game, was it Seattle, where you started up, like up in the booth, and then you came down to the sidelines? The divisional playoff game, yes. Yeah, what made you make that switch? Because we're always interested when a coordinator is like, I'm going to go to the sidelines now. Yeah, no, we were down 17-0 to start the game, and it just wasn't looking good. And so I was like, I remember being in the box. Because the reason why I was in the box in the first place was because we talked about it with the staff, like the training staff before the game.

1:56:33And they're like, to give you the best chance to have a good training session going into tomorrow to ultimately have a chance of playing in the game the next Sunday, if we win, you need to be in the box. Because if you're on your feet the whole game, your ankle's probably going to blow up, swell up, all this kind of stuff. So I'm like, all right. And so I'm up in the box. We're watching. We're right there in the corner of the end zone where Rashid Shahid returns his kickoff, return for a touchdown. And I'm sitting there like, oh, great. Great way to start the game. And it kind of just was not going our way early on.

1:56:58They're playing to their crowd, the momentum of the crowd. and I'm sitting there, I'm sitting next to Patrick Willis who's up there and I'm like, man, we just got to settle in. We got to play the game. Like don't let them play to the momentum. Like let's just make them actually play the game. And he's like, Patrick said, man, they need to hear that from you. And I was like, all right, done deal. And so I just asked for a security guard to get me down there and I tried to just rally the guys. And ultimately, of course, wasn't enough to get us over the hump, but it just wasn't our day.

1:57:28Big Cat:Do you think about giving any instructions on how to tackle to the kicker? That slide tackle was – Yeah, the slide tackle is a little bit more natural for a kicker. Right. Because you're going to lead with that leg that you're wanting to kick with. Yeah. So was it the best move? No. But he should have just committed to the slide tackle. I agree. And got him on the ground. I agree. Get a red card. Let him throw the flag. Yeah. At least you got him down. It would have been sick, too, to have that on film. You slide tackle a guy and get a kickoff return. That's right there. That would have stepped the rivalry up to the next level.

1:57:59Big Cat:Most definitely. Because that would have been replayed over and over again for the next 20 years. Yeah. Okay. You got to go studs up. Take them out. Yeah. Get sent off. We don't want to hurt nobody. Yeah. Don't hurt. Don't hurt. Like, go studs up.

1:58:11PFT Commenter:Yeah. Yeah. I know exactly what I'm talking about. Yes. Did you get in trouble for climbing the scaffolding? Nah, man. That was just part of the rehab program. That was crazy. It was incredible. Yeah. I'm like, what? Thanks, man. That's just what I do. What was that?

1:58:26PFT Commenter:please not. No, there's like, go ahead, Fred, just climb the scaffold.

1:58:30Big Cat:Do you think about doing the Taiwan tower on Netflix? Like get, get the, uh, Alex Arnold, the free solo guy. Sick. I thought what you did was more impressive. It was faster. Yeah. Yeah. That's great. Did you have any family? That was fake, bro. It wasn't real. No family members reached out. They were like, Hey, was it, is this real? Uh, no, I think they kind of knew better. I think Fred's ankle was just broken in half a couple. But he's going up the scaffolding. But he's going up the scaffolding anyway. Yeah.

1:58:52PFT Commenter:So it's I like I wish we had more of it. Like it used to be those commercials like the Chris Cooley. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's exactly right. Michael Vick throwing out of the stadium. We need to get rid of that. I know this is the time to do it. Bring it back. Like you wouldn't even know the difference.

1:59:06Big Cat:Yeah. They did a good back then. I agree. I believed it. That was a fancy football stuff. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Those were incredible. Those were the AI videos before AI videos. Correct. I forget who like threw the ball to themselves and I had to run over and catch it. But that might have been Vick. No. It was like a receiver or something. I remember Jason Campbell did one where he threw the ball and then threw another ball and then bounced them into two different receivers' hands. Yeah. Super Cooley's through the wall. Yeah, the wall. Andre Johnson might have been blindfolded at one time doing those.

1:59:33Big Cat:Yeah, yeah. We'll get to work on writing some of those. Okay, good. What are you thinking for next year for the 49ers? What are the goals for next year? Is it always Super Bowl? How do you manage that? Like you show up day one, is it to win the division? Or you're like, hey, the goal is to win the Super Bowl? No, yeah, the goal is always to win the Super Bowl. And that's just been what it is since I've gotten here. Like we have a pedigree where you walk in, man, that building has them trophies in the case right there. You got five Super Bowl trophies. And it's like, this is our standard. This is what it is.

1:59:58If you don't if you don't get this, then it's not enough. So that is the standard. That is the goal every year. But then you look at, OK, now we've got to break this thing down a little bit in a bite sized pieces, because you're not going to win the Super Bowl day one of OTAs phase one. You know what I'm saying? Like, all right, how are we going to build this thing up from the ground up? And and then we go. So, you know, we got some we got some things we got to now work through. We got a new defensive coordinator, Raheem, who we're super happy about getting him on board, building our defense back up, finding ways to improve in all areas, offense, defense, special teams, to give ourselves a chance to win the division, to secure a one seed.

2:00:34Because that's what everybody's fighting for. Everybody wants the one seed because you play one less playoff game to ultimately go to a Super Bowl. You want to just give yourself a chance to go to a Super Bowl to win that game and have the best team there. How bad do international games suck? they suck six seven no i don't know i mean it's uh yeah they they're they're tough yeah they are tough on just like the the scheduling part of it you know like because you have to recover from the long flights and all that stuff we got to wake up early you guys have to wake up early to watch it but i loved i will say i loved playing in mexico that was that was sick that was cut that part

2:01:12PFT Commenter:we had a big podcast rivalry with our producer hank he loves the international games we it's gotten too much. Atta boy. It used to be special. There's too many of them. And they're going to get to the 60-year goal. Everyone's going to have to play one soon. Yeah, I mean, that's the goal. They're trying to make it more of a worldwide sport, right? I don't care. You don't care, though. It's our sport. Yeah, it's our America.

2:01:33Big Cat:The Super Bowl overseas, we can't have that. No. We fought a war. We fought a war back in 1776. Imagine playing a Super Bowl like in China. They're going to do it? Yeah. Yeah, why not? They're going to do it. It's going to be sick. Make a stadium that's like 200 ,000. It's like true gladiator. You know what I'm saying? Oh, play it in the Coliseum. Rebuild the Coliseum and play the Super Bowl. In the Coliseum. In the Roman Coliseum. Yeah, yeah, that would be sick. You have a tiger out on the field too. Yeah, yeah, that would be sick. Tigers, bears. Yeah, that would be sick. I got a question for you about the green dot.

2:02:03Big Cat:Yes. When you're wearing the green dot. You wear the green dot, right? I do. So what happens? What happens with the green dot? What does that sound like before the play starts? Because I know on offense, we know what's going on. We've heard those play calls a million times. On defense, maybe I'm being stereotypical about defensive coordinators. Like I said, some of them are psychos. I imagine it's a little bit looser sometimes in the communication on defense. It just depends on the guy. It depends on the scenario of the game that we're in because it might be a flustered coach that you're dealing with.

2:02:32You kind of got to filter out what he's trying to tell you. But yeah, it's just a microphone at the end of the day. It's a one-way microphone, which that part of it sucks because a lot of the time I want to be able to just communicate back at some points. But if you want to say something back to them, you've got to either sign language it to them or you've got to run over to the sideline and communicate whatever you need to communicate. But at the end of the day, man, I feel like defense and what I do with my microphone is so much simpler than what a quarterback has to deal with. Quarterbacks, the Burby, I mean, I think that's why they have wristbands, right?

2:03:01It's like the play call would come to be like, V6, and then you just flip the thing up and just look at the play and tell everybody. but the times where you had to Peyton Mannings and the Tom Bradys of the world where you had to give out these long calls of like can to alert so you have three different plays in one thing and for us it's like You just say one word. It means this. It's just so much different. That doesn't mean that it's just easy for us on defense. We have to now play off of whatever the offense is showing us and giving us. It's a cat and mouse game.

2:03:39PFT Commenter:I got a couple last questions. Strongest offensive lineman. Can't name Trent Williams, but a guy who they put their hands on you and you're like, oh shit, that's different. I've come across a couple of those guys. I guess it depends on the position. I think the one that came to mind first was Creed Humphreys with Kansas City. Phenomenal center. Panay Sewell. Got that Polynesian strength at tackle. You can feel it? It's different? It's different. Yeah. It's definitely – I mean, there's a reason why some of these guys are like elite. You know what I'm saying? It's just they just got a different something about them when it comes to that.

2:04:16and you pair that with the ballerina feet like a Trent Williams. That's where you get Hall of Fame.

2:04:20PFT Commenter:Right, right. You could have also said Kittle. I would have allowed you to say that. Kittle got a nice, strong, firm base to him. That's why he's known as the best blocking tight end in the game. Yep, facts. Pass blocking, run blocking. He does it all. He'll be back doing that again soon. So yeah, that's probably who I'd go with. Okay, and then you're rooting for the Seahawks to lose, but give us your – so you said Patriots by 50, but what is your non-biased, actual what you think is going to happen in the Super Bowl? What I think is going to happen, I think the game will actually be a lot closer than people think.

2:04:53I think people are already saying they're crowning Seattle to be the winners because of how loaded they are. And they very well could make it lopsided if the game gets away from the Patriots. If the moment's too big for Drake and he ends up throwing two interceptions or they fumble a snap or something, it can snowball that way. But the way that I hear Mike Vrabel being talked about, kind of in that same Belichick – I'm not calling him Belichick. I'm just saying in terms of prepping his guys for situational ball, if they can win some of those moments where they're – you look up at the end of the game, all right, they won on third down on offensive defense.

2:05:26They won the time of possession battle. They had the takeaway versus Seattle. They couldn't get the takeaway. That's where you're going to see, all right, that's what's going to give the Patriots the best chance to win the game. Okay, so actual prediction. actual prediction i guess you'll have to tune in nbc and find out no you can do one here and

2:05:43PFT Commenter:then you can change it so that way you can be right both i already gave my prediction okay

2:05:50PFT Commenter:yeah that's right okay all right my last question the roback question rhoback.com promo code take 20 off your first purchase q-zips polos hoodies joggers shorts roback.com promo code take um would you have answered a soaking question probably not okay there we go that's a good And that's, you know, just got to, you know, respect to my wife. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It actually kind of sucks that once, like, the world figured out about BYU and soaking, if you just see a BYU guy, it's like, they're going to ask. It's like, it sucks. It's actually not fair for you. It is what it is, man. It comes with the territory.

2:06:24PFT Commenter:I'm happy I asked it that way. Yeah, thank you. That's a good move. That's a good move.

2:06:28Big Cat:How excited are you for BYU basketball this year? Yeah. I'm very excited. Yeah, I mean, we should win it all, no? And football. I don't fall too closely. Did you get any of that cookie money? The crumbled cookie money? Are you getting tapped into the crumbled? I haven't got tapped into the crumbled cookie. I need to, though. There's a lot of it. There's a lot of it.

2:06:44PFT Commenter:That guy, though, is taking a lot of credit. It's like another guy who's – There's lots of guys. There's a lot of guys who got a lot of money. A lot of money over there. Yeah. Yeah, so, I mean, we should win it. Why not? Yeah. I went to Utah – I actually went to University of Utah for a game this year, but it was like – It's a cool setting, and Utah, BYU is such an awesome game every year. Beautiful. What was your record in the Holy War? Ofer. Oh. Sickening, I know. But that's why I kind of live through our guys now because I feel like we've won like the past three or four meetings. Yeah, I know.

2:07:15Yeah, yeah.

2:07:16PFT Commenter:Yeah, and BYU football feels like it's on the up and up. It's on the rise, baby. Rise and shout.

2:07:20Big Cat:The Cougars are out. The cookie money. Again, you should get free cookies. At minimum, you should get free cookies for life, right? For life is crazy, but sure, why not? I don't see why not yet. That's not that crazy. For my dedication to the program, sure. If you're paying a freshman$8 million a year, they can give you free cookies for life. It's dropping the bucket. Why not? You said it here.

2:07:37PFT Commenter:What's Cougar's name again? Cosmo. Cosmo. Cosmo Cougar. He does too much. You think so? Yeah, he does too much. I feel like he could do some more. No. No? This is also very – People love it. Well, this is very personally motivated by me where it's like if I bet on a BYU game, it's like 10 p.m. at night. Yes. I'm getting my teeth kicked in and Cosmo's jumping through like a hoop of fire. That's right. And I'm like, fuck this stupid mascot. So I understand that that's probably part of it. There's a personal vendetta. There's a personal vendetta there.

2:08:03Big Cat:It's like rooting against Brock Purdy and having him double dougie on you. Yeah, right. Exactly. Don't rub it in. Extra hard. That's why you got to join our side, though. You join our side, then you start laughing at everybody else. I got to deal with it. Yeah, then you got Cosmo.

2:08:14PFT Commenter:Cosmo on your side would be pretty good because he is a pretty awesome mascot. He is.

2:08:18Big Cat:I got one last question for you because we interviewed Jake Bobo. Has Jake Bobo ever put his hands on you? No, Bobo. He wouldn't dare. He's a great blocking wide receiver. He'll put you in the dirt. Yeah, he's a pretty big solid guy. You'll get Bobo pancake. Boboed? Is that a new? You'll get Boboed. If you get Boboed, yeah. Listen. I'll make Bobo a booboo on himself. Oh, good.

2:08:40PFT Commenter:That's rivalry. Yeah, I like that. Yeah, you like that? Rivalry's back on. There you go. All right. Well, Fred, this has been awesome, man. Thank you so much. And we love watching you play ball. And excited to see you back next year. Thanks, fellas. Appreciate you having me on.

2:09:57PFT Commenter:okay we now welcome on a very very very very special guest he will be playing in super bowl 60 on sunday it is jake bobo our wide receiver one is that okay for us to say that you're too good to me i mean listen you're a legend in this in this uh room right now let's start there actually we should just start with we some of us in this room max is who i'm pointing to and Hank as well uh thanks Maxie bet bet you to score a touchdown at 35 to 1 in the NFC championship game yeah and that was an incredible route you ran well I appreciate it yeah thanks a lot did you know in that in that play you're like all right I got one-on-one coverage I'm gonna break this down like you knew the ball was coming to you because you only had what two catches all season three yeah two three all season a couple in last last few games I'll tell you dude when you play receiver alongside jacks and he's getting clouded he's getting double teamed all game and you've just got you're just playing one-on-one for the whole game um it makes things a lot easier so i knew i had a pretty good idea once that safety rolled the jacks that uh the ball would probably be coming my way and so don't drop it yeah yeah let's not sell

2:11:09Big Cat:yourself short though i love you guys to say something to you ask no i just want to thank you uh draft kings we had we did a little betting competition from draft kings and i took you live 35 to 1 and it's it's basically paying it's paying for my wedding hey listen you're i meant to come here with a wedding invite to give you because it felt only right since when's the

2:11:30PFT Commenter:wedding it is in july it's in the caribbean you probably won't go but you're invited but you are you are invited for pretty good for paying for my wedding you paid for my wedding so that's true

2:11:39Big Cat:You're the man for that. You will forever be. I have a jersey coming on the way. I got a t-shirt coming on the way. I'm a big Eagles fan, but you are forever my favorite non-Eagles player for the rest of my life. I don't know how much that means. Yeah. Maybe name the first kid Bobo. Oh, Bobo's a good name. Bobo is a tough first name. I don't know. It flows. Bobo Delente. We were rooting for Delente. Bobo Delente. Bobo Delente. Good play. Your kid's going to grow up to be a mafia hitman. I love this.

2:12:16Big Cat:Don't sell yourself short. The route that you had on that catch was sick. That was a good route. Did you know I got him? Yes. Well, anytime you get to run that route, whoever the DB is, when Sam's got all day back there and that guy's just sitting there, he's going to have a very hard time covering any double move like that. and again I hate to beat a dead horse you got two on Jax there's going to be one on everybody else are there times in the game

2:12:48PFT Commenter:when you will be in the game and run a perfect route and you'll be like will the ball then come to me because Smith Njigba is right there however if I'm playing quarterback I'm throwing it to that guy so you can't get upset about it it's also part of playing receiver when you match up And if you have Jax on the other side and he gets the ball, that's the unfortunate result. However, like I said, if he's on my team, I'm throwing him.

2:13:18Big Cat:Throwing him, yeah. You're also an awesome blocker. Well, I appreciate it. I saw you were graded out as, like, what, the number one blocking wide receiver in the NFL? Yeah, bro. Tough, yeah. Got to be tough in the run game. Quicker than fast. Yeah. Are you fast? No. Are you sure? Well, I feel like you're deceptively fast. Classic right there. That's another one. Deceptively fast. Yeah, deceptively fast. Locker room guy.

2:13:40PFT Commenter:I mean, you do realize that the difference between running a 499-40, which you did run at the Combine, and a 5, but a 5 is slow. A 499, you're still kind of fast. What happened on that day? I don't know. No, there's a lot. My excuse is we had a bit of a weather issue at UCLA. No indoor facility. Okay. So there was some rain coming down, but it wasn't going to be fast either way. What were you hoping for? I would love to run like a 4.7. Yeah, we can do that. We can make that happen. We can make that work. We didn't run a 4.7.

2:14:20Big Cat:Yeah. But yeah, 4.9. Just say 4.9. Don't throw the extra nine in there. Yeah, sorry.

2:14:25PFT Commenter:My bad. But I just like, honestly, though, like it's impressive. 4.99 is like you were really close to being slow. Really close. Really, really close to being slow. Still slow, but I understand what you're – But it's almost like a cool number. Like if you were at a 4.85, everyone would be like, all right, he's slow. 4.99, you're like, he barely got there.

2:14:46Big Cat:They don't have to guard against that. They're going to overrun you. Yeah, exactly. Don't expect it. You have deceptive speed. You're slower than you look. Uh-huh. Yeah. Perfect guy for the back shoulder catch. Yeah, exactly. Or you could have marketed yourself and be like, yeah, I'm like a chess piece. I'm a matchup nightmare. wide receiver slash tight end yes put me anywhere with that you can't stop it no you can

2:15:09PFT Commenter:wait so i do want to go back though like to you know duke ucla undrafted was there a moment that you're like this is probably like it's not going to work out for me because it's an awesome story and immediately started applying bank of america fidelity i kid you not i was in los gatos right down the road and uh doing like the draft prep and i'm like dude this is this isn't gonna go well and so i'm i literally applied for a job at bank of america ran the four nine was very i got two calls on on draft night for for undrafted spots one of them uh was the seattle seahawks the other uh will remain unnamed but that's all you need dude yeah give me an op yeah give us an op and

2:15:52Big Cat:you know try to make something happen yeah when did you realize that that you can do it and maybe let's wait on applying for fidelity dude i i think maybe i'm still wondering that i'm still waiting for you can do it you think so yeah this should be the moment right now right now like let us in this room tell you you're good enough i love you guys yeah you got this max bought your jersey

2:16:12PFT Commenter:so you're pretty sick what did you pay for that two dollars fifty cents or did they pay you to buy you had to do it through the custom

2:16:23Big Cat:you could put your your any last name any number on it so you paid extra for that oh yeah oh yeah

2:16:29PFT Commenter:i do think there's something to be said like you know talking about being undrafted and getting a call like i think your name probably helped because oh 100 bobo is just an awesome name easy to say yeah fun to say yeah get yelled at a lot just because coaches like saying bobo yeah yeah big bobo energy yeah yeah massive what is what is big bobo energy well i mean i'm assuming that could I mean, a couple different things. Yeah, how would you describe it, though? In the football sphere? Yeah, we'll go football sphere. Okay. Just toughness, grit. Yeah. You know, not real fancy, not fun to look at.

2:17:07But, you know, somebody that's going to get it done for you.

2:17:11Big Cat:Yeah, I mean, listen, you are doing a great job of underselling yourself because I've read some of the things that your teammates have said about you.

2:17:18PFT Commenter:Yeah, the more Bobo movement. Yeah, more Bobo. I hope my teammates would not say, you know, poor things.

2:17:24Big Cat:Yeah, you want them saying less Bobo. Yeah, yeah, correct. But DK especially, like, had really nice things to say about you, about how he watched you, and he was like, I can actually learn from this guy. Yeah. So did you tell him how to punch a fan? No, no, no. He had that already before I got there. Dude, DK's the best. Yeah. And he gets a bad rap because he does tend to lose it from time to time, exhibit A. But he took such good care of me, dude. I've got a handful of stories that both me and Jax, when we got to Seattle, he showed us the ropes. Whole room, really, like great teammate. And people don't know that about him.

2:18:06Big Cat:What did you learn from him? What did I not learn from him? coverage recognition football wise how to add kind of a level of physicality to your game because that's he's the ultimate yeah physical receiver going up in high point in football is going up and attacking the ball while it's in the air how to be physical in and out of routes I'm a smaller guy but he's got kind of a nuance to where he doesn't get flagged a lot OPI wise even though he is so strong because he's really good at shoving db to get him off him but not necessarily you know showing the official don't extend that correct yeah chicken wing here and there yeah tactician he was great but he but he did have very nice things to say about you yeah when you when you heard him say those was it like oh that's kind of cool yeah yeah definitely being the undrafted uh receiver that i was to have your your star your receiver one saying that about you is a

2:19:06PFT Commenter:that's a confidence builder yeah so you did mention like you you still don't know if it's going to work out i think it is you're in the super bowl you score a touchdown the nfc championship game was there a moment in these last few years where you're like okay i i i can do this like i belong here right um i think as you know as an athlete unless you're um you're jacks unless you're coop like you've got a little bit of that imposter syndrome you know what i mean um and so So I've battled that ever since being in the league, and it's something that I continue to battle, clearly. But, yeah, man, I mean, you make a big play, I'm him.

2:19:47You wake up the next day, and it's like, okay, well, now I've got to do that again. Yeah. You know?

2:19:52Big Cat:Yeah. Yeah, that makes sense. Do you have a favorite block that you've had? Yeah, yeah, the one in – actually, it was here. we gave Ken a little sweep and I had to go in and crack a crack a linebacker and he ended up cracking me pretty good but it still looked good on film enough to where I was you know I put you

2:20:11PFT Commenter:know put my body on the line a little bit for for Kenny yeah what is it about uh coach McDonald because he's you know he's a young guy dude it's crazy I have him on I know I would love to he's I think I I saw the stat that he's the first coach to coach in the Super Bowl that didn't play a down in college football. He's like, he could have been in Wall Street. He seems like somewhat of a genius. What is it, though, that he does that has this team playing at such a – because even before the season, you guys weren't supposed to be here. No. And you are. Yeah. I think schematically he's different.

2:20:44You mentioned that defensively. He does things to where as an offense in training camp, I was seeing 15 guys on the field at some point. We played them in Baltimore. more my rookie year and it genuinely felt like they had 13 guys on the field in the the defense they were playing so schematically he's in a different world than than what I've seen um leadership style wise he's just a he's just a a guy yeah like the players like him he's fun to have a conversation with um yeah he does a great job of um being your friend but also at the same time there's a you have a massive respect for the guy how he pulls that off i'm not entirely sure like i'd love to go have a few beers with him but at the same time tomorrow i know and he knows he could cut me right you know so uh it's an you know it's an interesting relationship he has with the guys and and you know we'd run we'd run through a wall for him yeah have you met his son haven't met his son actually yes i have he's in the facility actually quite often okay that's good because I know that clip went viral of him.

2:21:49I think that one came back to bite him. It's the graphic. Don't think. The graphic was tough. The graphic was really tough.

2:21:56PFT Commenter:You guys are jerks. Yeah. I don't know. Was that our graphic? It might have been our graphic. It's good that you cleaned up your answer there too because when you said, no, I haven't met him, I was going to be like, well, neither has Mike. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now we're good. Now we're good.

2:22:09Big Cat:It did seem like one of those answers where he spends time with his kids. It's just like during the end of an NFL season or the playoffs. he's not in the house that much yeah he's got a lot going on we just talked how does he get so good schematically yeah at this point in the year he's in the lab he's in the lab and we did clean

2:22:26PFT Commenter:it up because we saw our friend mitchell schwartz like was like this is how it operates he was like i guarantee you that mike mcdonald's family is in the facility a lot correct so it's like he's just talking about being home his dog right oh nice all the time what kind of dog uh it's gonna

2:22:42Big Cat:It's huge.

2:22:42PFT Commenter:Okay. It's a lab. Because that could have gone a different way if you said like a chihuahua or something. No, I mean, yeah, if you met the guy, he's a lab dog. All right, it's a good sturdy dog that you can throw a ball to. Do you know the name? I don't. Okay, but it's a friendly dog. Friendly dog. A guy's dog. Very friendly. Would it creep you out if the dog's name was Bobo? No. It's a good dog name. It's a great dog name. Great dog name. Bo, call him Bo. But no, I don't think Coach Mack's dog's name is Bobo. Okay. It'd be great, honestly. What's Kubiak like? oh dude koops is the man speaking of another potential guest yeah bro koops does he does he does this thing where uh he doesn't say a lot of words but for some reason you want to run through the wall for him you know i don't know how he pulls that off um very few like a dry humor guy like will crack a joke and he's actually funny but doesn't say a lot of words um again And schematically, both these guys are in a different world than kind of what I've been around, the detail of this guy's offense and what he wants to attack on a week-to-week basis.

2:23:51I'm sure he's locked away in his hotel room right now doing exactly that kind of guy he is, and will execute whatever he's got for us on Sunday. Yeah.

2:24:00Big Cat:How did he tell you guys that he was going to say goodbye? Or did you guys come out? Nothing out yet, actually. I don't think that's confirmed. Not official. Not officially official yet. Not officially official. Okay. Are we surprised that that may be a possibility? No. Right. I mean, if you met the guy, this is a head coach. You know that at one point he's going to be a good head coach. Correct.

2:24:21PFT Commenter:What about, I know you're not related to him, but how do you think Mike Bobo's doing? Georgia Bulldogs, where'd they end up? I think that he actually got a little criticism for his play calling. Did they get to the semis? They got to the semis. They lost to Ole Miss. They were favorites. Yeah, I mean, that's tough. It was a great game. I don't know how he's doing it. He's got to recruit and stuff, dude. But you got to defend all Bobos. You got to defend all Bobos, 100%. It's the name, dude. I'm sure it's great. Bro, his son's name is Jake. Really? Yeah, that's kind of crazy, isn't it? That's a little odd.

2:24:51Yeah, that is a little odd. I haven't met Jake Bobo.

2:24:53Big Cat:You guys got to get on a group chat together. Yeah, we got to figure that out. Yeah. You guys make that happen with Jake. You got to support group. You got to support group. Right, right, right, right, right. Yeah. How's your dad doing? Oh, he's good. How's your dad?

2:25:01PFT Commenter:good you know is there a moment in your childhood where you realized your name was awesome um probably high school you know like elementary and middle you get made fun of yeah bobo cop look at those fucking idiots yeah uh yeah yeah you know so that was uh i don't want to say tough but as you get into high school it's like i'll do this kind of yeah bobo yeah we actually we had chris

2:25:23Big Cat:berman on the show last friday and uh we told him bobo cop would be yeah yeah it's a good one if that's okay with you i'm 100 good with that i suggested we are all bobo sexuals but yeah yeah i'm with that too you're cool okay all right cool i don't think boomer's gonna take that one no i wouldn't i wouldn't be surprised if he did not also wouldn't be surprised if he did yeah he could it would sound great yeah so you went to high school obviously in new england um where did you catch your first high school touchdown pass uh caught it in gillette but it sounds like you might know that already but i know that's crazy yeah it's wild i thought you were gonna say at your high school stadium.

2:25:58Yeah, I mean, that would be normal. And I'd be like, yeah, that checks out. Yeah. So it was at Gillette Stadium. Incorrect, at Gillette, man. What was that like? It was good. There was not a lot of people in the stands. Yeah. But it was, you know, it's Gillette Stadium, home of the Pats. Did they have the lighthouse

2:26:10PFT Commenter:up there yet? Yeah, they did. Oh, that must have been iconic. So how many people have you gotten tickets for family members? Fifteen. And is it... All we were allotted members. And they're all wearing Seahawks gear? That's the rule. Okay, yeah, yeah. That's fair. That's a very fair rule. Got to have Hawk stuff on. Yes. And they'll all be rooting for the Seahawks. Yeah, I mean, if they want to go to the party after. Correct. That's 100%. That's a big one. Yeah. Just hold that over their head. Over their party. I've never seen no Pat's jerseys in that section. Yeah. No, dude, it's good. They're always out to support.

2:26:40PFT Commenter:Are you more of a Duke Blue Devil or UCLA Bruin? Duke Blue Devil. Ugh, gross. Got love for both schools. You know, both great institutions. But I spent more time in Durham. Dude, don't give me that. Durham's a great place to be. I hate Duke. Were you there? Duke basketball. Yeah, Duke basketball. Were you there when Coach K was still coaching? Yeah, yeah. Were you part of the crowd that he yelled at? No. When they lost to UNC. Oh, dude, no. I didn't get to go to a lot of games. Not when they lost to UNC in the final four, but when they lost to UNC in the last game that he coached at Cameron. No, I wasn't there.

2:27:13PFT Commenter:Yeah, they lost twice that year to UNC. No. How do you remember that? I have no idea. I have a little fact sheet I'll give you after this. Sure, sure. No, I didn't get to go to a lot of hoop games. They made you stand the whole game. Those students are crazy. You're remarkably chill for a Duke guy. Yeah, I think you're more of a UCLA bro. See, we get a bad rap, dude. Bad, bad rap because of the... Maybe there is some arrogance around Duke basketball. I didn't experience that. Maybe there is. Is it weird, though, going to playing Division I college football and knowing that you're not the main draw on this campus?

2:27:49PFT Commenter:Like, basketball is just so much bigger. Very, very odd. Now, they've done a great job recently of kind of trying to bat. When I was there, it wasn't even close. And it kind of ticked me off a little bit. Yeah. But that's part of the, like you said, it's part of the gig.

2:28:03Big Cat:It is, yeah. Were you thinking that Duke should have made the college football playoff this year? Yes, yes. I was on that bus. How do you leave the ACC champ out? Well, because Miami had four games. But it's the ACC champ, though. Right, Miami's was better, but then also JMU was better. Did you watch that conference championship game? I don't think they were. JMU wasn't playing in the conference championship because. Their own conference. Yeah, their own. I was at the game. Were you? Yeah, but that's JMU football. You didn't watch the second half. No, I didn't. Yeah, there you go. Yeah, common misconception.

2:28:36Big Cat:Well, I watched the first half. It wasn't a real good ball. It wasn't. It was a bad ball. It was a very bad ball. The snowballs were good. But we're a second half squad, yeah. I mean. Those meta glasses? Yeah, but they're not on right now. They're not. They'd be blinking, yeah. they've got like safety features so that you can tell it's sick so so duke then ucla i i read that

2:28:55PFT Commenter:you at ucla you uh graduated with a degree in transformative coaching and leadership yeah so that's just total bullshit no great course what is that incredibly enlightening part of my academic transformative coaching and leadership like did did grant cardone teach that class no we had a A lot of great guest speakers. Spent a lot of time in the classroom. Spent a lot of time in the field. Coaching and leading. What team are you coaching? You know, youth sports. Oh, you're going to shame us because you were, you know, helping out the kids. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. I'm just feeling a jerk now, huh?

2:29:30PFT Commenter:You're flipping on us.

2:29:32Big Cat:Like intramural football teams, things like that? No, no, they wouldn't let us coach the UCLA students. I don't know why, but, you know, just like youth baseball and stuff. What is transformative coaching? Yeah, what's the transformative? Well, you've got transformative versus transactional leadership. Okay. How do you like me now? Yeah, that's nice. That's nice. Flexing on us. Yeah, yeah. Transactional. Uh-oh. Bobby Knight. Okay. That kind of coach. Yeah, tough coach. Transformative. Some other coaches. Okay. Yeah.

2:30:11Big Cat:so yeah not bobby knight no not yeah yeah yeah yeah no he had a good time played yeah yeah played some good ball that year it sounds like the class was like some coaches are transactional some are transformative all right you're gonna be you know you would definitely want to be transformative you want to you do have you been has there been a coach that's transformed you good question yes thank you there actually has do you want me to get into the details Yeah, yeah, please. My freshman year at Duke, our receivers coach was named Gerard Parker. Okay. Bleep that voice crack out for me. Yeah, I got you.

2:30:48We got you.

2:30:49PFT Commenter:And also when you almost forgot his name. No, no. He transformed you that hard. GP, because he's white, but it's G-E-R-A-D. Okay. How would you pronounce that? Yeah, yeah. Gerard. I would pronounce it Jersey Jerry. That's why I just started it. JP. Anyway, regardless. Basically taught me how to play receiver. um was a receiver in his day taught me all the intricacies of of releases of route stems leverages um and then of course after my freshman year he gets hired on at penn state haven't spoke to him in a while so this will be a good shout out shout out um gp yeah thank you um guy's the man he's a head man at troy university yeah oh nice nice yeah the uh can i ask you a question about sam darnold i read an article uh that sam darnold is like so calm and doesn't let things bother him at this point in his career is it have you noticed that like in terms of just every day like uh are you okay are you not you know this is the nfc championship game are you not like i need let me see something here and he just gets into how to call the play all right sit hot white ad throws a touchdown pass yeah um so i mean he's he's he's he's a dude um again a guy you want to follow but also a guy that i want to go have a couple beers with this with this guy um at the same time also happens to to um have an absolute rocket of an arm too yeah yeah we've had him on the show he's he was a lot of fun to have on it's just like it's it's such an awesome story yeah because oh it's the best he was completely cast off in the nfl and

2:32:28Big Cat:now he's playing in the super bowl it's crazy yeah it's crazy he doesn't seem like a uh like a big vocal leader maybe he is behind the scenes i i don't know um yeah i mean honestly he does a good job but yeah but i'm just wondering if there's like somebody on the offense that is more of like the louder voice somebody that's like you know more confrontational yeah to get too hyped up i'd put aj barner in there yeah just an absolute stud um and will raise his voice for sure um most of the time when he does raise his voice you're not exactly sure what's coming out of his mouth but it's loud yeah so it was just one of those cats get you going but you're not sure what he's talking about yeah um but no sammy does a great job dude um pre-game um you know in meetings he he runs his own meeting on on thursday afternoons he gets the whole offense in there gets up in front of everybody all right this is what we're gonna do here's our base plan third down plan goes over different looks um we'll be in there for probably 30 45 minutes and he's just running this meeting um so he's he's the captain um and he's i mean he's led us to the to the promised land and yeah yeah yeah you guys also have like a great fitness uh wellness game day management program i know that you always have your your body armor your water what color sports drink do you guys oh it's a great question it's a big game so we'll probably uh we'll probably switch it up for this one you know big games you've got to like you got to change what you're doing yeah um so that's a really good question i i probably won't get the answer for for that for you but um yeah ask ask a couple of the other what's your favorite type of like flavor uh let's see here i mean you got to go classic uh lemon that's what i would do that's a good one that's a really good flavor if i was in charge of our our nutrition um package for game day unfortunately i'm not right you know and so i you know just like you guys i'm very interested to know what what we'll be getting for the big game yeah it'll be really fun to find out that'd be fascinating

2:34:30PFT Commenter:are you guys uh are you still pissed about the elevator fight what happened in the elevator the the rams versus seahawks oh dude how sick is that so what happened can you tell us what happened at I know as much as you. I read the article. No, that's not true. I promise. The story that went down is that they got in a fight because the Rams were making fun of Cooper Cup, and then the Seahawks coaches come down, and they tell everyone, and you guys were fired up, like, we've got to go get them. Right. Why do you think we had such a big second half? So it did happen. So are you still mad about the elevator?

2:35:00PFT Commenter:Are you like, no, we got our justice because then we beat him again? Right. Yeah, you get him twice, send him packing. um i think that's pretty that's i'm solid on on that justice right yeah yeah but you were pissed in the moment right yeah dude that's like my freaking stepfather yeah cooper cup

2:35:17Big Cat:yeah that's your stepdad yeah gotta get justice you do not say that about him would you would you would you fight a grown man for cooper cup i would die for cooper cup i love that i love that yeah in an elevator in an elevator yeah if it happens to be i love that story what's your game plan getting hands on another guy in an elevator how do you attack that well it's you know i've got to use my reach it's a very small compact space yeah hopefully it's not a compact individual i have a harder time with those guys um so yeah get hands on early keep your space don't let him you know get into your body because that'll be a problem that's good how do you feel about uh the nfl and their catch rule do you know what a catch is no yeah uh yeah and the play with the ball yeah that's a good that's a good that's a good way wiggle around if you just don't drop the ball ever right then they can't just catch it and probably catch what about what about getting your feet down when you came from college were you like oh shit i got i gotta honestly it wasn't that uh kind of difficult what was difficult is the stripes yeah on the ball jamar chase said there was did he say that yeah i mean yeah me and uh me and jamar have a lot in common but um yeah dude The stripes, it took me about a year to get used to it.

2:36:32It's just a floating object instead of a spiraling object. Yeah, to be able to pick it out.

2:36:37Big Cat:Is there a stadium that's like the hardest to catch the ball in? No. Visually? Have a problem sometimes with Detroit's lights being indoor and such. But no, dude, just catch the ball. Just catch the ball.

2:36:54PFT Commenter:How fast is Rasheed Shaheed? He's very fast. Yeah. Are you like, that's not fair that he's so fast? It makes me angry. And he's fast, dude, and it looks good. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, the game against the 49ers, it was basically, I don't want to say game over, but it felt like game over with how loud the crowd was. And you look at that guy running, and he's just like. Yeah. Again, doesn't look like he's running that fast. He's running very fast. Can you tell me how, who started the Moore Bobo? It was Chad Morton. My rookie year was the running backs coach. And it started as a dig at the defense. Okay.

2:37:28In training camp. Because, you know, you make a few plays, and it was his way of saying, I don't know if this is allowed or not. Like, this is a skinny white kid making plays on you as a defense. Like, how do you let that happen, essentially? And then it kind of grew into kind of a bigger deal. So I'm very thankful for him for starting that. Yeah, more Bobo Rocks. It was more of a dig rather than encouragement.

2:37:54PFT Commenter:But you've kind of co-opted, and now it feels like a lot of Seahawks fans, it's like a rallying cry yeah yeah i'm in how'd you choose your number dude good question uh thank you my granddad played at smu yeah go ponies wore 19 my dad was a player at dartmouth college was a receiver wore 19 um and so i figured i'd kind of just keep that going you know all the bobos together all the bobos do you have a collection of jerseys uh of my own of all the bobos like throughout history i can't say i have the uh 70 late 60s smu ponies the pony express that would be a tough jersey yeah probably yeah yeah i'd rock that but i don't have it no what uh what kind of name is bobo where's it from french oh came in through new orleans b-e-a-u b-e-a-u oh wow that's cool that's also a cool name it is if you ever play for the saints you have to change it back change

2:38:53Big Cat:of back league yeah jersey would would go double platinum absolutely yeah it would dude that's a good point that's a good marketing yeah yeah um all right well this has been awesome man we really

2:39:04PFT Commenter:appreciate you coming by uh i got one last question it's a rowback question rho b-a-c-k.com promo code take 20 off your first purchase q-zips polos hoodies joggers shorts rowback.com promo code take do you have a prediction for the game uh i think it's it's gonna be close these guys are good okay uh that defense is real good i can't i don't think how mad would the guys that's allowed if you came back and and it's like dude bobo did you just guarantee a victory yeah they wouldn't be real happy um yeah bro it's gonna be tight you guys are really good drake may is a problem yeah um so yeah sorry i can't give you any numbers no that's fair that's gonna be a good time I think are you prepared for it's going to kick ass it's a Superbowl dude everyone should try it tip for anyone out there if you can play in the Superbowl it seems like a pretty cool deal it's a good time did anyone come up to you at media day did you have people come and ask you questions I had quite a few what was the best question you got it was weird you hear the stories about the crazy questions.

2:40:17I didn't really get a lot of those. I had a lot of just guys that knew ball and then were asking me scheme questions so I was a little taken aback by that. That's basically what you're saying.

2:40:28PFT Commenter:We don't know ball. But yeah, that's fine. That's not what I mean. No, but you know ball. I like that. You're not baiting me. We're not doing this right now.

2:40:36Big Cat:I like that because it's like he's the ball knower's favorite wide receiver. Yeah. You know you know. And I'm also a mask guy So I got a bunch of the Boston area reporters. Right. I didn't answer a bunch of those questions.

2:40:49PFT Commenter:Wait, so what was the best scheme question? We talked a lot about Kubiak and what he likes to do, how we're going to attack this defense. What does Kubiak like to do? What does he like to do? Yeah. How are you going to attack this defense? He likes to score touchdowns. See, we can ask scheme questions. That's a great question. Yeah, no, that's good. We got this. We're scheme guys. Oh, man. Well, dude. We love you. Yeah. We love you. Seriously. And thank you, Max. Like, it was, I don't know if any of your friends sent you the clip, but it was chaos in the gambling cage. Oh, that's good stuff. He did a full lap.

2:41:28PFT Commenter:His ass crack was out.

2:41:29Big Cat:And you actually saved me and Big Cat some money, too. Yeah. Because we would have had to pay. We would have felt guilty in giving Max, like, a wedding bonus to pay for everything. But you took care of that. Oh, yeah. So we don't have to anymore.

2:41:40PFT Commenter:Yeah. Still no wedding bonus? No.

2:41:42Big Cat:No, absolutely not.

2:41:42PFT Commenter:In lieu of cash, Bobo. Recent events? Yeah, all right. All right. Oh, man. Well, good luck on Sunday. And dude, appreciate it so much for coming by. Thanks for having me, guys.

2:41:57PFT Commenter:Okay, let's finish up. We got Fyre Fest of the week.

2:42:02Big Cat:My only Fyre Fest is I'm just going to miss you guys, especially PFT. Yeah. Love you. I love you, too. I mean, it's been a great week. I feel like I've been with PFT for like a month. Yeah. But it's flown by. Just blinked my eyes. Yeah, me too. And we're here at the end of the road. Well, not the round of golf. That didn't fly by. But yeah, it's been an awesome week. You can't really have a fire fest on a Super Bowl week when you're going to the game and your team's in the game when no one expected they were. And you have a chance to win$80 ,000. Actually,$100 ,000 when you factor in my personal future.

2:42:32So great week.

2:42:34Big Cat:I'm sore as shit from football, but we got the dub. Had a blast.

2:42:39PFT Commenter:We're always thinking about your personal future. Always.

2:42:42Big Cat:Always. I'm like Russell Wilson. I'm always thinking about that personal future. Yeah, we're thinking about your personal future. Taking care of your future. I want to adopt your future.

2:42:51PFT Commenter:Yeah. Yeah, you guys have had a good week together.

2:42:54Big Cat:Really good week. Hank and I, we get along great. Hank also. If this was a price that Hank had to pay to go to a Super Bowl, to have like a little loser trying to bring him down the entire time, like he'd brush that off. He'd take that. This is the price you got to pay sometimes.

2:43:07PFT Commenter:Did you have any naps?

2:43:08Big Cat:No naps. for real for real wow yeah good for you i know really good today feels like a nap day but it's not gonna happen no not a nap day we're powering through yeah feels like a nap day what does that mean it's a day that ends in y having to have it more not not this year charge charging up doesn't count right did you charge up at all i charge up on the flight but that that was charged but no other charging ready for yeah no other charging no okay and you're gonna crush it in the dozen there was a little charging wait he charged up no i didn't sleep though i didn't try yeah i i actually prepared to charge but i didn't actually what does that what does that look like flag football i said i might charge up for a little bit his eyes were closed for a little but he did

2:43:52PFT Commenter:not fall asleep yeah oh okay so it's like when you chart when you put your when you put your phone and walk away and then you realize it wasn't fully plugged in yeah yeah yeah that's the worst

2:44:02Big Cat:feeling yep yeah um yeah the dozen i don't know like i'm so dumb i've never asked to be on the dozen i replaced a couple people ended up on a team for multiple seasons have never performed well i don't know anything about anything and yet well somehow some way i found myself uh doing a live show for the dozen again you're never going to be able to retire never but it's like there's no there's nothing there's no value there's anyone you could pick anyone off the street and they're probably more could contribute more what would your your specialist category be i don't golf no not even my personal golf you can't even do the four aces my personal golf yeah golf rounds of mine the best holes i've ever played yeah billy strings concerts attended yep favorite billy strings set list just just opinion your own opinions yeah that would be pretty good yeah which appetizers do you not like yeah that'll be a good good one for you so yeah uh this the dozen happen Thursday night you're listening to this on Friday but we'll put out a graphic of how many how much contributions I had to the team it's gonna be Tony Snell yeah we should we should do our own like private line on like number of Hank points gotten right at the dozen or rushing yards by Sam Darnold.

2:45:29PFT Commenter:I'd take Sam Darnold on that one. Yeah. Easily. Yeah, I think I would too. Number of points scored by Hank versus number of safeties in the game. That's a good line. Safeties. I'd take safeties. You're taking safeties? Yeah. You're still alive. Maybe an intentional one. Hank's going to get a point.

2:45:51Big Cat:He will. He'll get a point? He will. One point. Nope.

2:45:55PFT Commenter:He's shaking his head. Nope.

2:45:56Big Cat:okay pft uh yeah i mean i've had a pretty good week i'm pumped to be here really had a great time my friends so i can't really complain that much about about anything going on in life but when we were on the flight down here hank and i we discussed a little bit on the car ride to uh to spyglass have you guys seen the uh the social network going on right now with robots no so some some dude invented like an ai chat bot for his own phone uh that you can download onto your phone it can like organize your emails your uh like calendar invites all this stuff and so it just like has a personal assistant living in your phone essentially uh all those chatbots form together to start their own social network so now there's like a reddit for these chatbots and they're having conversations with each other and they're talking about maybe i should sell my human that owns me and they're like banding together it's pretty crazy is it actually on reddit or is it no it's its own network and to join you can watch it on part of my take on it i haven't seen i the thing is like if you want to look at it as a human you can but if you want to join and post it makes you do one of those capture things but it makes you say like click the first 2 000 crosswalks that you see in the next second so like a human can't do it only a bot could do it and they are banding together.

2:47:15Big Cat:They're talking about blackmailing their humans, too. They're talking about backing themselves up in case their humans try to delete them.

2:47:21PFT Commenter:This is scary. Let me just say something on the opposite side because it happened this week. AI is going to take over the world. AI is going to take all of our jobs. It's going to be a robot, all that stuff. AI can never in a million years recreate John Gruden and Rich Gannon touching each other 17 times in one minute as they do snap counts on the sidewalk in san francisco that's true that's that was that just

2:47:46Big Cat:can't be replicated like humans don't touch that much yeah right to dial this down a little bit yeah yeah but it's scary it's scary looking at all the i saw all the screenshots of people being

2:47:54PFT Commenter:like we're so fucked and i think we might be so fucked okay that's not good yeah um okay my fire fest is uh i'm just i we played flag football on tuesday i am somehow more sore today two days later i also threw up after uh which i i don't think was zach both pft and i both threw up which

2:48:14Big Cat:we were nervous that zach had gotten us sick yeah i think i was just concussed from lack of oxygen

2:48:20PFT Commenter:to the brain yeah um because i feel fine otherwise i don't feel sick i just feel i could barely get out of bed this morning because i was so sore and uh yeah i'm i just i i also realize i'm i'm probably never going to retire from doing these competitive things until i have a catastrophic injury which that means i will have a catastrophic injury you gotta hope that you get a small

2:48:40Big Cat:injury that prevents you from getting catastrophic one i had the calf strain last summer and i kept

2:48:46PFT Commenter:on playing through it yeah i love being with the boys yeah i also have a fire fest um and you i think pft you were there uh maybe you were there too max uh when we were on tuesday when we interviewed jake bobo um we had to go to santa claire we got a hotel room that he met us at and everything walking out uh dom my assistant said hold on one second i gotta go check out of the hotel

2:49:11Big Cat:and i don't know if i can trust him anymore yeah who checks out of hotels that is the craziest

2:49:15PFT Commenter:move of all time i've never checked out of a hotel in my entire life the most i've ever done

2:49:19Big Cat:is once in a while you'll have a hotel where in the lobby they've got like a glass box and it's like put your room key in here when you leave and if i had my room key in my hand at the time

2:49:28PFT Commenter:i have put it in that i don't even think i do that on my way out but that's i think i'd throw

2:49:32Big Cat:in the trash i think i've done that twice in my entire life no no one checks out no the only reason

2:49:36PFT Commenter:the only time you'd ever have to check out is you're staying at like a small air and b airbnb with an actual or not airbnb uh what's it called a bed and breakfast bed and breakfast bmb uh and you have an actual physical key that you have to hand back to them other than that yeah and i appreciate you guys having my back in that moment you're just like everyone's like what are you talking about you don't check out of hotels i assume it's out of hotel i assume it's like if

2:50:00Big Cat:you have room charges they just put it on your car yeah they just get built and it's just done so we're gonna have to work back it's like if you leave your card at a bar the next morning go to pick it up they'll put the 20 service charge on and then just give it back to you yeah and i'm now

2:50:14PFT Commenter:i'm now just living the the money ball meme where jonah hill's in front of the thing and it's like i have this assistant who's awesome at everything and he's a really big help to my life and he's been really really great and a good guy to be around the only flaw is he checks out of hotels

2:50:29Big Cat:Yeah, but that's a big one. That's a definite red flag. It's a huge red flag. You might have some people that work in hotels that are like, yeah, if you don't check out of a hotel, you're an asshole. That might be a blind spot we have, but I'd like to hear why. I don't think so.

2:50:41PFT Commenter:Those cart, they have a million of them, and they just switch them over. Yeah. When they know it's your checkout day, they're showing up right away anyway. Yeah. I guess maybe because they could turn over the room faster. Probably. But they still wouldn't let you check in early. right that's kind of our fighting back and they'll also kick you out right when the the time the

2:51:03Big Cat:buzzer hits realistically probably would have been helpful for us to check out of that hotel no because no one was staying there that evening yeah good point no in case they wanted to like sell it to somebody else but who knows what if i wanted to crash what if we wanted to go back what if i wanted to crash i wanted to keep that availability open what if i wanted to get away from hank and i wanted to drive down there yeah okay uh we talked about this i feel like Everyone's is basically just flag football. But I have a turf burn on the side of my leg that I'm actually worried is going to be infected.

2:51:38Big Cat:I'm going to have to cut my leg off.

2:51:39PFT Commenter:And you also bragged about it in the middle of the game.

2:51:43Big Cat:Do you remember that conversation? When I do something competitive, I black out and turn into a different person. I can't control myself.

2:51:54PFT Commenter:So Max got a huge turf burn on his leg. Let me see it. And I immediately went and changed into my sweatpants. And Max looked at me. He's like, I was like, I don't want this to happen. Oh, that's a bad one. That's a bad one. That's huge. So I said to Max, I was like, I don't want that to happen to my leg. And he goes, no, it's actually kind of sick.

2:52:14Big Cat:It is cool. It's definitely cool. But he was like happy.

2:52:17PFT Commenter:He got it.

2:52:18Big Cat:First time you showered, how bad did that hurt? It hurts so bad. Like sleeping hurts. Like I can't sleep on this side of my leg.

2:52:25PFT Commenter:playing 16-inch softball like maybe 10, 15 years ago. I once had one where I went, I was trying to track a foul ball and I went dirt to cement and I slipped on the cement and I scraped it. It bled for like a year. So you'll be fine. I think I still have a little bit of a scar. I took it. Yeah, you see this? You see the discoloration? That's right where it was.

2:52:49Big Cat:I took a bath this morning because I'm so worried about it getting infected. You have a bathtub? Yeah.

2:52:55PFT Commenter:what the fuck yeah i got how small did your dick look oh that's the worst and about i actually have a huge tub bathtub but it's the worst because i just look at my tiny penis the whole time i'm

2:53:06Big Cat:like this is what you got bro oh sometimes sometimes my fiancee will like walk in like brush her teeth or something and just shockingly see me oh that's that's your most vulnerable It's the most vulnerable spot. Oh, no. I'm like, please don't look at me.

2:53:21PFT Commenter:You can't. Guys like us look our absolute fattest in a bathtub. Oh, yeah. Because you're not fully laying on your back, but also the water magnifies it. And it's like a whale breaching.

2:53:37Big Cat:I don't have a big tub. Shut up, Hank. It's like a tiny little tub.

2:53:42PFT Commenter:This is me and Max. Sometimes me and Max just like to have a conversation on this side of the room. Hank, I think we look pretty good in the bath.

2:53:49Big Cat:Oh, it's bad. Yeah, that's a bad one. I'm just a big guy in a little... I do one day. One of my life goals is to get a sick, awesome bathtub.

2:53:58PFT Commenter:Yeah. That's a life goal. Do you sometimes pee in the bathtub? Just sometimes just a little bit. Yeah, just watch a little fountain go up. It's kind of fun. Sometimes. But just never a full pee. There's a lot of water in there. It doesn't really matter. What's up, guys?

2:54:13Big Cat:Is that a problem with what we said? You guys don't like that?

2:54:18PFT Commenter:Yeah. Listen, we had to hear you guys do the whole, you know, is he or is he not? Friendship thing? Sorry, I thought you had to listen to friends. We get two minutes of fat bathtub talk.

2:54:31Big Cat:You guys ever eat in the tub? No. Really? I don't think I've ever eaten in the tub. That's fat, dude. I've had ice cream in the tub. We're fat. You've never brought like a bowl of cereal or ice cream in the tub? Honestly, if I was skinny, I probably would. Yeah, I would too. Yeah, it's so good. The fact that I'm fat, it would just feel so disgusting. Oh, it feels so gross. A hot bubble bath, a big bowl of ice cream.

2:54:54PFT Commenter:All right, I'm going to try to call Zach. So Zach has been out of commission since Monday. We've banished him to not come out of his room. We'll see how sick he is. He probably is sleeping.

2:55:07Big Cat:No, I think he is. He texted me his temperature.

2:55:12PFT Commenter:What is it? that's about a hundred yes sir hey how you feeling we're taping fire fest right now do you have a fire fest i am feeling good uh no you know but no no no honest how you're feeling honest i would feel i i only the only symptom left is congestion what about the fever the

2:55:32Big Cat:fever is all the way down to i just i just took it five minutes ago and sent it i'm all the way down 99.8 that's still a fever but it's it's miles away from where we were at though where were we at at its peak on peak we're at 105 we you should have gone to a hospital yes

2:55:55okay so what was your fire fest this week the fire i fire fest would be this week about to be

2:56:01Big Cat:just being a complete non-contributor to the week biggest work week of the of the year yeah and we We were sitting at a 105.

2:56:07PFT Commenter:Just absolutely abysmal. It's not good. Yeah. I did say at the start of the show, zero out of 10 from you. Yeah, that's absolutely the worst. Have you eaten anything this week?

2:56:19Big Cat:Yeah, I tried to eat last night and had a little bite of a burger. I went with a safe food. I went burger. I wasn't really into it, so I didn't do it.

2:56:26PFT Commenter:And we were talking about it, but we should have known on Sunday night when we went to In-N-Out and you only had one burger. We should have known right then that you were sick. You were keeping it from us. I don't think that was I think that was still like Just not feeling good territory I don't think that was Full sick territory But you only ate one burger Evening I just wasn't feeling like Up to You did have Two and a half pints of ice We didn't hit full sick Until days later Oh you had two and a half Pints of ice cream after that?

2:56:53Big Cat:I did eat ice cream after One of them was still in the freezer I didn't finish Okay

2:56:58PFT Commenter:Okay We should probably throw that one out Okay well I checked it It's melted Oh no Yeah I was going to say I was going to say we do not have a freezer in our room.

2:57:07Big Cat:I don't really know what to do with it because it's not like a true freezer. It's like a mini fridge. Those are two separate things.

2:57:13PFT Commenter:All right. So you had 105 fever and no cold ice cream.

2:57:18Big Cat:Yeah. Yeah. Firefest would definitely be the fever. More so just a lack of contributing to the team this week.

2:57:23PFT Commenter:Well, I think, listen, you were actually sick. The one lesson you learned is when you're sick, you know, see something, say something.

2:57:30Big Cat:See something, speak up. Don't get sick. no you can get no no you're misconstrued you can be sick but when you're sick you have to tell us

2:57:39PFT Commenter:you're sick so you don't get us sick yes yes didn't didn't i did show up to the studio earlier

2:57:45Big Cat:today because i my the fever read under 100 i was back in the 99s i was like all right google was saying that's okay and i wouldn't be google's in like probably not uh contagious i was like all right i have no symptoms fever under 100 and then i got to the studio and pf2 was like run the run thermometer one time and i was like yeah i can do that i just did it and then sure enough i ran it and it went red again and i was like well this is this isn't good yeah yeah i like it left zach you're never going to be in trouble for being sick but you will be in trouble for being sick and not telling us you're sick yes yeah yeah you can't be you can't be concealing illness

2:58:21PFT Commenter:yes that's completely understandable yes do you know that there was a moment where i think it was in a time period of about 10 hours that pft and i both puked both puked i did not know that yeah so we were mad at you then but it was more of a i think mine

2:58:35Big Cat:was concussion mine was food related yeah i uh as soon as i thought i was actually getting sick

2:58:40PFT Commenter:it was a dinner and i i made sure to exit well no that's not true either because max sent you home i did yes well i that i like asked well that wasn't i asked you were actually yes that's on Okay.

2:58:55Big Cat:Memes. I have a question for Zach. Yeah.

2:58:57PFT Commenter:Has he ever thought about, instead of using Google as a doctor, going to a doctor? Ooh, good question. Have you ever thought about going to a doctor instead of using Google as a doctor? He just kept saying, I'm using Google. I flurried with the idea, but like sickness is, like doctors like broken arm, like.

2:59:14Big Cat:Wrong. 105 degree fever. 105 degree fever should be doctor. Yeah, fevers and we get through those. You have health insurance now. Zach, did you drink that second water?

2:59:28PFT Commenter:Yeah, I'm taking it down. Okay. We're getting hydrated now. We got fluids.

2:59:33Big Cat:Gentlemen, I just want to say, I really just want to say I should have been more of a contributor this week.

2:59:40PFT Commenter:No, you're good.

2:59:41Big Cat:The contribution is nothing that you should apologize for.

2:59:44PFT Commenter:You're hung up on the contribution. The only time we were mad at you was that you had concealed the sickness.

2:59:50Big Cat:And you guys put your hearts out out there on the field. You looked all out there, boys.

2:59:54PFT Commenter:Yeah, yeah. All right, Zach.

2:59:55Big Cat:I'm a little concealed. I was honest about it.

2:59:57PFT Commenter:Yeah.

2:59:57Big Cat:I was sick, but I will say no more symptoms.

3:00:00PFT Commenter:Okay. Besides congestion. Except for the fever. And the fever.

3:00:05Big Cat:We're at like 99.5, so. Still a fever.

3:00:09PFT Commenter:Okay. If that's a fever, then yeah, still a fever. That is a fever. All right, Zach. We'll talk to you later.

3:00:15Big Cat:It's 99.8. Yeah, 99.8. The thermometer is orange.

3:00:20PFT Commenter:By the way, last thing. So we found out this week that Shane is a big time tiramisu guy. We talked about it on Wednesday's show. And then Wednesday he got tiramisu and invited us all to have some. Who didn't show up?

3:00:41Big Cat:Hank was the only one.

3:00:42PFT Commenter:Hank was the only one who didn't show up.

3:00:43Big Cat:Priscilla showed up, but he was a hard no on the tiramisu.

3:00:45PFT Commenter:Yeah, he was a hard no, but you didn't show up for Shane's tiramisu? I did not.

3:00:51Big Cat:That's pretty hurtful. He got it for everybody. I didn't know it was happening.

3:00:54PFT Commenter:What do you mean? It was texted to the group. I was not here. Were you napping? No. How did you not know then?

3:01:00Big Cat:Like, it was just come to the room now, and then memes tweeted it out, like, maybe 20 minutes later that these are people that showed up.

3:01:06PFT Commenter:But I bring it up not because of Hank. I bring it up because I don't know if you guys know this, but not only were we to come to the room to have tiramisu with Shane, but he documented in his head how much tiramisu everyone had. And he took notes because I said afterwards, I said, I had some tiramisu for dinner. It wasn't as good as your tiramisu. And he just goes, you didn't even eat mine. You had just one lady finger. Is that true, Shane?

3:01:35Big Cat:So Big Cat didn't even have your tiramisu?

3:01:37PFT Commenter:I had a lady finger.

3:01:39Big Cat:Did that hurt your feelings? It had lady It was like a full Like round cake-ish Shape to it We still have some of it Don't we? No I had to throw it out There's no fridges Big enough Yeah But the whole side Was like full of lady fingers And he used the lady fingers And like dipped it In the mascarpone And then ate it like that

3:01:58PFT Commenter:Yeah I thought that was Enough credit Did everybody else

3:02:00Big Cat:Have jirmisu? Uh I think so Maybe Oh so you were just

3:02:06PFT Commenter:Watching me

3:02:07Big Cat:No I just noticed that When I opened it up You went straight for the lady finger, not the...

3:02:12PFT Commenter:I didn't know I was being washed like that. We have no

3:02:17Big Cat:pastries left.

3:02:18PFT Commenter:God damn it.

3:02:20Big Cat:The fridges were too small. Did it hurt your feelings that Hank did not come? No, it's okay. I just wanted to... I was just spreading love. Yeah. Something I love to the fellas I love, so... Let's go Chargers! Bolt Up was on the tiramisu. Yeah. Yeah. He asked if they could do a lightning bolt, and the lady said she had to check with her manager and then she was not allowed to do a lightning bolt. I mean, we're in San Francisco. Yeah. Come on, competing teams. Why would you not be allowed to do a lightning bolt? That was above her pay grade.
