In short

Sports roundup and debate on multiple leagues: Brooks Koepka’s PGA Championship outlook (trying for his sixth major), NBA playoff storylines including Victor Wembanyama “Wemby’s revenge” vs the Timberwolves, LeBron James’ possible final NBA game, plus NHL and MLB/golf injury notes. The show also includes a PFT vs Hank DraftKings bet about the Washington Wizards making the East top 8, and a separate “Hot Seat / Cool Throne” + “Guys on Chicks” segment.

Guests (named in transcript)

  • Brooks Koepka: PGA Championship prep; aiming to win his sixth major.
  • Shane Bacon: previews the PGA Championship and discusses hoops (NBA playoffs topics).

Guest backgrounds (as stated/indicated)

  • Koepka is a major-winning PGA golfer.
  • Bacon is a sports commentator/host who previews the second major and joins for basketball discussion.

Key claims

  • Wembanyama’s presence is changing shot selection: Spurs block/alter threes, forcing Minnesota into low-efficiency offense; Spurs win Game 5 and take a pivotal lead.
  • Anthony Edwards is not fully healthy and “ran out of gas” in Game 5 after an injury and a huge Game 4 effort.
  • LeBron’s Lakers loss is framed as roster/ matchup-driven rather than a failure by LeBron; LeBron’s last game could be this series.
  • Daryl Morey was fired by the 76ers; the show argues he’s a strong drafter but not a good team-builder.
  • Wizards bet: if they finish top 8 in the East, Hank must get a Wizards tattoo; otherwise PFT gets Hank’s El Camino.

Notable examples

  • Wemby’s early dominance (16 points in first six minutes) and Game 4 ejection for elbowing/trying to injure an opponent.
  • Sabres tying the series in Montreal; discussion of a goal/shot spot near the Zamboni and goalie positioning.
  • Rory McIlroy playing through a foot blister while still planning to play the PGA.
  • Donovan Mitchell’s Game 4 performance: 43 points, including a second-half surge.

0:00PFT Commenter:Hey, Pardon My Take listeners, you can find every episode on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Prime members can listen ad-free on Amazon Music. Okay guys, it's Grit Week. This is the part of the football calendar where nobody's watching but everything gets built. Early mornings, pads back on, conditioning, film, reps, spring training in football is all about putting in the work when nobody's cheering yet. And honestly, that's the same mindset behind the Chevy Silverado. This is a truck that is the definition of grit. Long days, dirty work, and showing up day after day no matter the conditions. Strong, dependable, and built for the grind.

0:41PFT Commenter:Because grit isn't about being flashy. It's about being ready when it's time to go. Check out the current offers and build your Silverado at Chevy.com. That's Silverado, all grit, no quit And you can build your Silverado at Chevy.com today On today's part of my take presented by DraftKings We've got a two for the people We've got our good friend, old friend of the show Brooks Koepka getting ready for the PGA Championship Trying to win his sixth major We also have Shane Bacon previewing the second major of the year we're going to talk some hoops LeBron's maybe last game in the NBA we're going to talk some hockey we also have a new bet between PFT and Hank we have Hot Seat Cool Throne we have Guys on Chicks great show and it's all brought to you by our friends at Chevy our AWLs know that Chevy Silverado is the official truck a part of my take that's because Silverado is the truck with grit that shows up every time built to haul, tow, and take a beating but smart where it counts with modern tech that makes life easier big screens, available camera views that help with towing and parking, and a cabin that feels right, whether you're road tripping, heading to practice, or loading up for the weekend.

1:58PFT Commenter:During the season, it's the MVP of the tailgate. After the season, it turns into your training camp truck, hauling gear, tackling home projects, and doing the work that never stops because the grind doesn't take breaks, and neither does Silverado. Check out the current offers and build your Silverado at Chevy.com. Okay, let's go.

2:20Big Cat:Hey, football guy for Dean of A.W. Hey,

2:28yeah, pardon my take. Yeah, pardon my take.

2:35Big Cat:Yeah, pardon my take. Yeah, pardon my take.

2:42PFT Commenter:Welcome to Pardon My Take presented by DraftKings. The crown is yours. today is Wednesday, May 13th, and Victor Wembenyama. Holy shit, that guy is a freak. Wembe's revenge, I was calling it PFT, even though the revenge was that he tried to take someone's head off, Nasrid's head off, and he rightfully was ejected from the game in game four, but still, revenge. You just knew he was going to come out, and that's exactly what he did. He was on fire from the start. He was blocking threes. the Spurs are an absolute problem and as hard as the Timberwolves played and they look like even in the third quarter when they came out at halftime and there was no one in the stands in San Antonio I don't know what they're doing, get back to your seats it just was too much Spurs and they win easily and take a pivotal game five

3:37Big Cat:Halftime, a lot of big women in line for those churros, you know that That's Charles Barkley, that's not PFT Not me, yeah, that's Charles Barkley. I'm just quoting. I'm quoting Sir Charles. Yeah, you called it you called it revenge. Yeah. Redemption is what Reggie Miller was calling it redemption for I guess. Yeah, trying to elbow somebody's neck off. Yeah, but what I saw from Wimby at least like tonight and really through the playoffs like Wimby is kind of he's evolving so fast as a center like the knock against Wimby a couple months ago was like he doesn't really have that you know a great offensive low post game and now we're seeing that.

4:12Big Cat:Oh, yeah, when we can do that, too. So it's just a matter of time. He's going to be the best center of all time at every skill set by the time it's all said and done. And right now, what's the stat? The pivotal game five that in a 2-2 series, winner game five wins 82 % of the time?

4:29PFT Commenter:Yeah, it's significant.

4:32Big Cat:The Spurs have done it. I think the Spurs are 10-1 when they've won game five of a series that's tied 2-2, and they look dominant tonight. And maybe I'm outing myself as not a diehard Spurs watcher. I haven't seen too much of him. Dylan Harper. Oh, yeah. Dylan Harper should be starting. Dylan Harper might be the best guard on that team. And I understand that they've got two other players that they're paying significant amounts of money to. But I feel like Dylan Harper is the best player. He's the best player on that team.

5:06PFT Commenter:Castle's really, really good, too. I mean, Castle's really good.

5:08Big Cat:They're good. I feel like Dylan Harper's the best, though.

5:12PFT Commenter:I would say Castle, what he does defensively, too, is he's very, very good. But, yeah, no, they have – I mean, Dylan Harper's been great in this series, and he's helped out a lot. And, yeah, they're just a good team all around. Like, there's not a lot of holes when you have Victor Wembenyana standing in the middle. Like, you can just see it as the Timberwolves get frustrated. You just can't – they have to alter every shot. they have to take a lot of threes from guys they don't want taking threes they shot 27 % from three tonight and that's a lot of the Wemby effect where it's like you can't go in the paint and you just there's not a lot you can do when he's standing there he's blocking threes he's blocking threes like he's just everywhere it feels like his presence is just everywhere on the court and you're thinking

6:00Big Cat:about him even when he's not there you're shooting a three now And you're like, oh, God, I hope their center doesn't block this three.

6:07PFT Commenter:Yeah, it's crazy. It's a freak show to watch, and it's his first playoffs. I don't –

6:13Big Cat:It was a close game with four left in the third. I think it was 72-67 with four left in the third. And then after that, the Spurs were just like, okay, time to slit their throats, and they did. Yeah, yeah.

6:25PFT Commenter:I mean, like I said, I wouldn't be shocked if the Timberwolves could somehow find a way to win game six just because that's in their DNA. like you saw it even in the third quarter when they came out of halftime and they're like we're going to fight and we're not going to give up but they just ran out of gas. Anthony Edwards, he's still clearly not 100%. You could see it like towards the end of the game. I know it was kind of – it was a 15, 20-point lead back and forth in the fourth quarter but like he just kind of ran out of gas. He didn't have that burst. He didn't really want the ball and I don't blame him.

6:54PFT Commenter:Like he's still coming back from injury. He had an incredible game four. his knee went backwards 10 days ago and he had to play two he had a crazy effort in game 4 and then has to come back and play game 5 it's just it's tough the odds are stacked against the Timberwolves right now and it feels like they're maybe out of answers maybe the answer is just you gotta get Wemby to elbow some more people

7:18Big Cat:yeah you gotta get under skin a little bit I don't know I feel like that's a mistake that Wemby's not gonna make again now that he knows the rule don't elbow anyone in the face game yeah yeah yeah that's that's one thing they didn't teach him at at month school but he picked up on that yeah yeah um all right anything else from this game nothing nothing nothing wimby's awesome nothing i mean this i'm i'm excited i i and i don't mean to overlook the wolves they've they've been much much better than i expected them but i feel like you're right they're they're limited right now um and is he's not like a shell of himself he's still really fucking good but he's not capable of putting this roster on his back right now and winning a series.

8:00Big Cat:So I'm just – I'm pumped. I'm very excited for Thunder Spurs.

8:05PFT Commenter:Yeah. Wemby, by the way, the first six minutes of the game, he had 16 points. He just – he did come out and he was just like, I'm just going to assert my dominance. Did you also see – the Spurs' secret weapon is just that Pop is still around because I don't know if you guys saw the clip that Pop met Wemby at the airport and talked to him. The minute he stepped off the plane, he was just talking to him. I feel like having a guy that knows basketball the way Pop does, and he's not in the best health, but he knows basketball better than anyone, and he's just a secret weapon. They'd be like, oh, yeah, let me just give Wemby a couple tips here, and then everything will probably fix itself.

8:45Big Cat:Also, Tim Duncan and David Robinson just being around. like I'm sure they're at the games or probably their pregame those are probably two good people to bounce some things off of yeah Tim Duncan sitting in the crowd looking like he sells the cheapest weed ever I love it

9:02PFT Commenter:and then the Sabres came back they tie the series in Montreal tough game this series has been awesome the crowds have been awesome and I'm excited that we're going to get it did feel like if the Canadians We talked with Biz on Monday's show that it felt like it was teetering on the Canadians just dominating the rest of the series. But now we get 2-2 and we're going back to Buffalo. It's going to be fun.

9:29Big Cat:Yeah. Tage Thompson, Tage against the machine. He had that goal tonight. I don't know if that's a spot in Montreal on the ice that he knew about when he fired that puck against the boards. But it looked like he knew what he was doing. Yeah. It looked like he knew that there's a spot where the puck will carry him, strangely. Somehow the goalie didn't look for it, but Taige knew about it. But it looked like it was something that was unintentionally. So I would like to hear what Witt and Biz have to say about that, if that's something that players know around the league, that there's certain spots in certain arenas.

10:03Big Cat:It's like, yeah, you can fire something in there. And they said on the broadcast, like wherever the Zamboni is, that's a common spot everywhere because that's where the Zamboni comes out. but they said the Canadians coaches had told the goalie that he comes too far out in those situations and to stay in goal and then they were like if he had just come out of the goal like that probably doesn't go in.

10:25PFT Commenter:Look at that. I like that because it bounced off him. Hanky Pucks yeah and also Biz told us it was the face off the face off battle the Sabres won the face off battle tonight they got dominated in the last two games and they had the puck more often so good for them and I think the did you guys I see that hit in the Ducks-Nights game. That was a car crash.

10:46Big Cat:The head bouncing off the glass a little bit. Oh, listen.

10:52PFT Commenter:I hope he's okay. He came off the ice. Rory's gutting out a blister. So, is it golf tough now? Like, Rory played, I think, three holes today with the blister and then had to come off, but he's going to play in the PGA. Hockey guys are coming out of the games.

11:12Big Cat:It's pretty sad to see. Sad state of affairs in Chell right now. I love Caulfield. I don't think Caulfield got taken off the S tonight.

11:20PFT Commenter:When he got cross-checked right in the neck. I know. The ref was literally, it looked like he was, the ref was like, I'm not looking for this. He basically turned his head right at the second that he got cross-checked.

11:33Big Cat:Yeah. He was like, listen, this is playoff hockey. I'm not going to step in for every tiny little infraction that we have. The guy, like, straight up a cross check to the front of his neck. Like, it looked like his vocal cords got crushed. And, I mean, shout out hockey players. Caulfield didn't even really seem to appeal to the ref at all. After he got that, he's just like, oh, they didn't call it? Okay, fair play. I guess I better skate over to the bench now, get off the ice.

11:56PFT Commenter:Fair play. Hank, do you have anything to say about Rory having a blister? Because it is very funny.

12:01Big Cat:Yeah, I mean, it's serious stuff. Like, people think golfers are a joke, but that's, I mean, a blister. Have you ever played golf on a blister?

12:09PFT Commenter:I have. Actually, I did on Monday.

12:12Big Cat:Yeah, how'd I go?

12:14PFT Commenter:Fine. Memes, you were with me. Did I complain once? We walked. Didn't even know we had one. Yeah, that's just built different, I guess. Played a full nine holes. Yeah, we'll see how... I mean, I think it's going to hurt his chances, honestly. Are you being serious? Yeah. Which hand is it on? No, it's on his foot. Oh, it's on his foot. He had his shoe off.

12:40Big Cat:It would make maybe a difference if it was on his hand. No, no.

12:43PFT Commenter:It's his foot. Which foot? I think it was his right foot. It looked like a blister when you wear sandals at the beach all day.

12:53Big Cat:Yeah, blisters aren't real. You can just pretend a blister doesn't exist.

Read the full transcript

12:58PFT Commenter:Pitchers' blisters are real. That's why I was saying if it's on your hand, I can see that.

13:03Big Cat:But if it's a foot blister... No, just put a bandaid on it.

13:06PFT Commenter:footless or sock

13:08Big Cat:just get some crazy glue and you're fine put a bandaid on it you'll be fine

13:15PFT Commenter:that was Max's pinky toe on his right foot that was Max's beautiful mic that he's just stunted on Hank right now he's looking great with his new mic I wish I didn't know

13:28Big Cat:the pinky toe to me seems like the most that's the worst spot to get it just put a bandaid on it

13:35PFT Commenter:okay two other things before we kick it to ourselves in studio one I have my NALS shirt on right now Boog Shambi sent me this so all proceeds go to they're donating to Project Main Street Lou Gehrig Day is coming up June 2nd we're going to do some stuff with them so please support it they made it all 30 team colors so you can go get one now and support ALS trying to find a cure I actually have two more things Daryl Morey fired Max.

14:09Big Cat:Yeah, it had to be done. Okay.

14:13PFT Commenter:You're not a basketball town.

14:17Big Cat:Do you want me to talk about it or do you just want to keep talking about things that happened in the past? I mean, he just added one piece of commissary. I still have the floor.

14:26PFT Commenter:It had to happen. You're not a basketball. Like, what are you talking about? uh darryl morey had to go darryl morey had to go are you gonna keep talking pft or you're gonna just let him tell you what are you gonna do i'm just i'm just you asked me about darryl

14:43Big Cat:so i'm trying to give my two cents and it's just it's just the chirp gallery over there i can't get three words out without something from you two snicker guys over there

14:57PFT Commenter:by the way that was more than three words I said Daryl Morey had to go

15:03Big Cat:sorry Daryl Morey had to go five words my bad because it's not working something's not working Daryl Morey has done a lot of good things for the future of the 76ers

15:17PFT Commenter:he's a very good drafter since his time he's drafted Tyrese Maxey, Jerry McCain, VJ Edgecombe Jared McCain is no longer there.

15:26Big Cat:He also drafted B-ball Paul Isaiah Joe. Both of those two guys are also no longer there. So he's very good at evaluating talent. He's not very good at putting a team together, which is probably pretty important for a GM. But we'll see. We got to see who we bring in to really get excited about it because right now it's just damage control. Max, are you guys keeping Nick Nurse? We are keeping Nick Nurse. So you're bringing in a GM with a coach that he did not hire. Yeah, hopefully you got a GM that is on board with Nick Nurse.

16:06PFT Commenter:Yeah. Do you think it has to work together? Do you think Daryl Murray was like, hey, you know what? I'm not going to. Yeah, I'm done. You beat it. What were you going to say? No, you beat it. You beat it. Yeah. All right. Good. Win for me. No, I was just saying, you think Daryl Morey heard the comments about not being a basketball talent? He's like, I don't want to do this anymore.

16:30Big Cat:Well, he didn't resign.

16:32PFT Commenter:Yeah, but he was like, I don't want to do this anymore. They're like, yeah, we don't want you to do this anymore. It's a mutual parting of ways.

16:37Big Cat:It was not described as a mutual parting of ways.

16:40PFT Commenter:I think it was.

16:42Big Cat:So good move by Josh Harris is what you're saying. It was a move. There had to be some sort of move. You couldn't just run it back.

16:51PFT Commenter:You had to have someone.

16:53Big Cat:I actually have no idea if they said if it was a parting of ways

16:58PFT Commenter:okay let's pull this up now yes Josh said Maury in the 76ers owner Josh Harris and Dave Blitzer met on Tuesday evening in Philadelphia the decision was made to part ways yeah wait a minute no that's more no no no there was a meeting between Harris and Blitzer to decide to part ways with Daryl Morey. No, Morey met with them on Tuesday night and they decided to part ways.

17:30Big Cat:I'll do the reenactment of how this went down mutually. It was Josh Harris and he goes, you're fired. And then Daryl Morey goes, I agree. I'm fired.

17:41PFT Commenter:No, Daryl Morey probably said part ways? Question mark? That's always how that goes. Yeah, and then Josh Harris was like, Exactly. Yeah.

17:52Big Cat:Blitzer said yes.

17:53PFT Commenter:Yeah. Yes.

17:54Big Cat:I actually thought our guy, Ryan Glassbeagle, had a pretty decent idea of what Daryl Morey should do next. He should be the guy that the NBA hires to figure out how to stop teams from tanking and taking advantage of all the rules. Yeah.

18:10PFT Commenter:To get the analytics out of the NBA.

18:13Big Cat:Yes. It's Catch Me If You Can, Frank Abadneal. Yeah.

18:16PFT Commenter:It's Theo Epstein. Yeah.

18:18Big Cat:They bring him on.

18:19PFT Commenter:you like to think like a thief you have to hire a thief yeah pretty much make the game great again uh okay last thing pft and hank you guys have a new bet yeah i mean hank and i are going to get

18:30Big Cat:into it in a little bit on the show and and um after we got done getting into it we took a little bit of a break and uh after we were done recording hank and i sat down our argument continued because hank just doesn't understand that teams can change and that front offices can change and that plans can exist and that certain teams can be set up to be actually competitive in the future in a way that maybe they haven't looked at all like for the last 40 years.

18:56PFT Commenter:And Anthony Davis is going to play for the Wizards? Yeah.

18:58Big Cat:If Anthony Davis is healthy, then who knows? The sky's the limit. And also, by the way, Hank, we might not be done. We might go out there and get an Andre Drummond. We might go out there and get a LeBron James. He sees how Michael Jordan in his career. He's like, I want a taste of that. but we might not be done. So Hank and I had a little bet, and after a little bit of back and forth, the bet's going to be, will the Washington Wizards finish in the top eight seeds in the East? Going into the play. At the end of the regular season. Yes. At the end of the regular season. Will they be a top eight-seeded team?

19:39Big Cat:And I had the boys over at DraftKings Sportsbook put together a hypothetical over-under win total for the Wizards if they keep AD and if we keep the number one pick and we take DeBansa. Those are the assumptions that we're making right now. And the over-under would be about 41.5. These do not matter for our bet, though, just for the record. Oh, yeah. But the hypothetical over-under for the Wizards going next year would be 41.5. I'm obviously taking the over on that. And that would put them outside the play-in this year, But I'm taking the over on it. So I feel like it's a good bet. And the terms of the bet are if the Wizards finish in the top eight at the end of the regular season, Hank has to get a Washington Wizards tattoo.

20:23Big Cat:That's about the size of a baseball somewhere on his body. We said a peanut butter cap, which is about the size of the official verbiage was peanut butter cap. It was peanut butter cap. That's true. I just didn't know if most people can envision a baseball easier, but you're right. What people don't have peanut butter? No, you're right. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for even saying that. Peanut butter cap. And then if the Wizards don't, Hank gets my El Camino.

20:52PFT Commenter:So I was doing the yak when this happened and Max texted me it. Are you? I love this bet. This is going to be great. Great, great for the podcast. But are you trying to get rid of the El Camino?

21:07Big Cat:I'm not. The El Camino is getting fixed for the summer right now. In fact, I'm putting a lot of money into it right now so that it doesn't have any of the problems it's had in the past. And by the way, that's another thing. People like to talk about the El Camino like it didn't work at all last year. It worked every day until the very last day of the summer when I said it's worked every day. And then the next morning it didn't start. But besides that, it was a great summer. I'm getting it fixed up. I'm putting money into it right now as we speak. So, no, I don't want to get rid of the El Camino.

21:39Big Cat:But that's how strongly I feel about my Wizards. my beloved wizards. Hank, what are you going to do

21:44PFT Commenter:with the El Camino if you get it?

21:47Big Cat:Probably just drive it to work and just park it. I'll probably just drive it back and forth to work just so PFT can see it. Okay. And then what... Hank originally tried to bet me his car, but I don't want that piece of shit. No, it's a shitty car. Let's just do a tattoo. Yeah, I was just trying to get rid of my car.

22:06PFT Commenter:Hank, what tattoo would you get?

22:09Big Cat:I don't know. I've thought about that. They have some interesting logos. So, I mean, I honestly, like, I don't think I'll ever have to really think about it ever. Okay. Okay. But if I, yeah, I'm not even, I'm not even really, I don't have an answer and I will not have an answer. Again, like, I don't think this is ever going to be a conversation that I ever have to seriously consider. it is kind of crazy that the last like three days we've we've spent probably like 500 times as much time on this podcast talking about the wizards as we have in the the previous 10 years combined

22:45PFT Commenter:but that's how that's how you can say what's the face i said why is that yeah yeah we're all trying to find the guy did that put his hands up in the past i've been the one that's like

23:00Big Cat:we're not talking about the Wizards.

23:02PFT Commenter:Yeah. Right.

23:03Big Cat:No, we were dying to talk about the Wizards and you were like, no, no, no, guys. I'll stop you right there. Yeah. Just phrasing it the way you did.

23:15PFT Commenter:Like, it's crazy that we talked. Yeah. Go ahead, Hank. If the Wizards got the number two pick,

23:23Big Cat:would you be thinking playoffs? Yeah. What about the number three? Maybe not. Okay. That's how that's. Listen, with DeBansa, Hank, I know you don't spend a lot of time like actually watching basketball. I know. Brockton's finest. If you look at what the starting five would be for the Wizards next year, outside of Trey, I think every single player is 6 '10 or above. And they're pretty fucking skilled. They're pretty young. Dynamic defensively besides Trey Young. I think they're going to be a really good team.

23:59PFT Commenter:so looking at it you got to basically uh hope that well the pacers if halberton comes back they'll be you know they'll be back yeah and you got to hope that uh the combo of the the bucks bulls and nets don't get better which i i don't i don't think maybe the bucks if they keep yannis

24:20Big Cat:which we'll get to in a second but like we'll get to that a little bit yeah the bulls could get a Good player.

24:26PFT Commenter:It's probably not going to be a top eight seed. I would say they got a lot of work. The Nets.

24:31Big Cat:Not worried about the Nets. Magic. I don't know. Yeah. The Magic are going to be better than the Wizards.

24:40PFT Commenter:Yeah.

24:41Big Cat:Who knows what the Sixers are going to be like next year? They might not even play basketball. They don't have a GM. I don't know what's going on there. It's a fun bet. This will be a fun bet. A lot of minutes out there on the court.

24:55PFT Commenter:Did you see DeBansa shooting threes at the combine? Yeah. Don't care. Okay. Yeah, I mean, I agree. I don't think it matters much. I know that was going viral that some guy from the upper deck had him just missing a shitload of threes.

25:14Big Cat:The NBA combine is very funny to me. The stuff that they measure, we haven't seen him playing basketball and shooting threes in games before.

25:23PFT Commenter:Well, that's the NFL combine, too.

25:25Big Cat:Yeah, the NFL combine. Yeah, I guess so. It's a little bit different with the NBA, though.

25:31PFT Commenter:I would say the NBA is probably more instructive than the NFL combine. You think so? Yeah, because they actually play games. They play against each other in the NBA combine.

25:45Big Cat:The NBA combine, obviously, Caravan looked pretty good when he was shooting. but like when you see them do the defensive drills and they clock those that seems like it's probably a pretty relevant drill and then seeing like what the wingspan is and all that I get that.

26:02PFT Commenter:Oh, yeah, I know I'm NBA combine is like you can learn a lot more than what the NFL combine does because again, they play games against each other.

26:12Big Cat:I'm not worried about the bands are missing a few shots now. I think we'll be okay. And again, I'm feeling even more confident after hearing Hank talk about because it's clear that Hank has not like – the Wizards have just been kind of like a dark spot in the back of his brain that he has not thought about at all for the last 20 years, which I understand. But just know that that dark spot, it's growing, and it's coming back angry. We played you guys in the playoffs one time. John Wall, yeah. But yeah, no, this is – I'm just looking forward to it. I just hope, you know, if he doesn't run the El Camino into the ground this summer, I'm sure it'll be in tip-top shape by the time I get it.

26:55Big Cat:I'm thinking tramp stamp for you, Hank. I'm thinking small of your back. You get to choose? No. Oh.

27:04Big Cat:Let's talk about it right now, then.

27:05PFT Commenter:That's what he's thinking.

27:07Big Cat:That was part of the terms. We have the terms on camera, and it was that Hank gets to choose where the tattoo goes. Yes. I suggest my suggestion is the small of your back.

27:17PFT Commenter:All right. If we're doing suggestions, I suggest your neck. All right.

27:21Big Cat:I will take those suggestions into consideration.

27:24PFT Commenter:Okay, good. Thank you. Appreciate it.

27:28Big Cat:All right. I think PFC is just realizing he got fleeced on this deal. No, I didn't. I'm completely fine on this deal. Absolute fleece job. You don't have a GM. You don't know what a fleecing is. Having Hank have a tattoo of the Wizards and washing the Wizards on his body. Yeah. That's how strongly I feel that the Wizards are back.

27:49PFT Commenter:okay uh let's uh we're gonna talk a little more about this but we got other stuff we got Shane Bacon Brooks Koepka LeBron's possible last game Hatsi Kulterone guys on chicks we're gonna kick it back to ourselves all in studio okay before we kick it back to ourselves Draft Kings NBA playoffs are here in DraftKings Sportsbook an official sports betting partner the NBA brings excitement to every game day the whole postseason when the lights get brightest the best players in the world show you exactly who they are. 29:12PFT Commenter:All right, boys, we are 1-0 in our last one. Parleys. So hot. So hot. We have to do one. We're doing one for Wednesday night. Cavs, Pistons, Pivotal Game 5, which we're about to talk about Game 4 in a minute. But do we have our picks? I got one that I love. Same.

29:31Big Cat:Okay. I hope we don't have the same one. Go. Is it Cade Cunningham, 6-plus rebounds? No. Good. I think he's going to do it all. I think he's going to be fighting. Probably going to get a triple-double. Game 5, got to go hard. Okay. I'm going to go Max Struess, four-plus rebounds. Ooh. Max Struess, grit, playing above the rim.

29:51PFT Commenter:Okay. I'm going to go Duncan Robinson, three threes. He had a not-great game four. He had a good game three. So I think he's going to get a bounce-back game at home. Okay. So Max Struess, four rebounds. Cade Cunningham, six rebounds. Duncan Robinson, three threes.

30:06Big Cat:I was thinking about going Tobias Harris, 19-plus points. He's a really good player.

30:10PFT Commenter:He's a really good player. Really good player. Should we talk about the game on Monday night? Because Donovan Mitchell was sensational for a half. He started the game four points, ended the game with 43. He scored 21. He tied the Pistons in the third quarter amidst the Cavs' 25-0 run, and he just took over. He was lights out. I don't know what he did at halftime, but it worked because he won this game. James Harden was actually pretty good, too. Again, he had a weird question. Did you guys see the reporter asking about his Angels hat?

30:47Big Cat:I did not see that, no.

30:48PFT Commenter:So he was wearing an Angels hat after the game in the post-game press conference. The reporter was like, oh, are you wearing an Angels hat? Because they're playing the Guardians this week. And James Harden was like, I don't know. I don't watch any of that. I don't know what you're talking about. I just wake up and practice and go play ball.

31:05Big Cat:He's just like, I just really respect Mike Trout's commitment to being a great offensive player and never winning anything.

31:11PFT Commenter:Yeah, yeah. He's my spirit animal. He said, yeah, I don't know who's playing who, nothing. I wasn't watching TV or nothing. I just wake up and do the same thing every day, practice every day.

31:19Big Cat:Yeah, I mean, it's a perfectly fitting hat for James Harden. This was the Karis LeVaric game, too. Yeah. What a performance he had last night in 31 minutes. Yeah, but Donovan Mitchell, second half, just unreal. Just could not be stopped.

31:32PFT Commenter:Ties the record for most points in a second-half playoff game with Eric Sleepy Floyd, which I know we've talked about this before. we just used to have such better nicknames. Sleepy Floyd? Sleepy Floyd's a great nickname. I looked it up. He got Sleepy Floyd because he was playing baseball as a kid, and someone yelled from the crowd, hey, get that kid out of there. He looks like he's asleep. And that was it. And it was Sleepy Floyd forever. But I was just thinking about it. It sucks. We used to have awesome nicknames, and now we don't. It was Spider.

32:06Big Cat:Yeah, Spider's good. That's a good nickname. Spider's good, but just, I don't know.

32:11PFT Commenter:Just thinking back, we've missed the good nickname.

32:15Big Cat:Yeah. Big deuce. I know we got Mobley in this series. It reminds me of Coutinho Mobley, the cat. Just a simple nickname like that. That's always good. Hank, you could be sleepy. Yeah. Sleepy Henry? Yeah. Sure.

32:28PFT Commenter:Sleepy. Sleepy Lockwood.

32:29Big Cat:I stay sleepy.

32:30PFT Commenter:But Max mentioned, I think it was last week when he was like, yeah, Jared McCain's just a microwave. The microwave, the nickname, the microwave for Vinnie Johnson. That's an unbelievable nickname. We don't have those nicknames anymore We just have lost them all It stinks

32:45Big Cat:I mean, there's still nicknames But they're not cool I think it's because most nicknames Yeah, I think it's because most nicknames Have been taken So it's like they're not as You can't do a simple nickname anymore Every nickname has to be like something special Because the other ones have already been used

33:02PFT Commenter:Yeah, I don't know Or I saw Dave retweeting something about Oil Can Boyd Like that's a great nickname I just wish we had cool nicknames Big Dumber

33:12Big Cat:Big Dumber's a good nickname The Spaceman was a great nickname too Good baseball nickname

33:19PFT Commenter:Charlie Hustle for Pete Rose It's a great nickname I don't know Charlie Hustle B-Ball Paul B-Ball Paul is a great nickname Playoff P Big Game James There's never been a Big Game James shields was first and then he wasn't big game big game james harden i kind of like it just big game you just throw big game james on someone and they just don't come up big yeah it's almost too much pressure to live up to the name yeah the other story from this game and series well the calves just they they they're just gonna keep winning at home they got to find a way to win one in detroit i i am starting to feel bad for jalen duran because it's he the amount of money he's costing himself in these playoffs is so significant he's a restricted free agent he was a 20 and 10 guy this year he was an all like hustle strength when you're playing in the regular season last night he had eight points and two rebounds yeah he's basically being played out of this series played out of these playoffs i actually think the pistons should probably not start him and it sucks because it's like it's funny to laugh but then it's like this guy was about to make a ton of money and i I don't know how much money you can pay him now because he doesn't have the skill set that translates to the playoffs.

34:38PFT Commenter:And it's been shown through two series now for the Pistons.

34:41Big Cat:Yeah, I don't know. He's still got some time. So the story is not quite written, but it does feel like this has cost him multiple, like tens of millions of dollars.

34:49PFT Commenter:Yeah, I mean, he's averaging 10 points in the playoffs, and he's just a non-factor offensively, and the Pistons need it badly. Cade Cunningham also not great last two games. Like, you just got to say it. I think he's the best player in this series. He's got to be the best player in this series for the Pistons to win it.

35:03Big Cat:I think that's fair, right? Yeah, he was doing some of the driving kicks. He was opening up the offense a little bit. But you get the vibe that this is going to be home team wins, home team wins, home team wins. I have a question for the booth because obviously it is fun when you're the most dominant team in your conference and you get to watch the teams you're going to play in the next round. Who do you want the most when you're watching these games? I didn't even watch last night's game. Oh! But you did on Monday's show. You gave an answer. I did. I don't think it matters at this point. They're just going to be playing four more games than you.

35:38Big Cat:And it just you're going to be the more ready team at this point. You just need it to go seven.

35:43PFT Commenter:You just need to go seven and then just be ready. I think you'd rather play the Pistons.

35:46Big Cat:No, you want home court. The Knicks are so good at home.

35:50PFT Commenter:Right.

35:51Big Cat:But the Cavs can't win on the road.

35:53PFT Commenter:I think you want the Pistons, though. I feel like the Cavs still have. I mean, Donovan Mitchell still has what he did last night in him. You know what I mean? Yeah, but I don't think he's going to do that every night. Of course not. But I'm saying just as a roster, the Cavs feel like they have – I'm not saying that they're significantly better than the Pistons because I think this is probably going to go seven. I'm just saying as a roster, it feels like they have more to offer in a seven-game series than the Pistons currently. And that's just the Pistons. They have Kate Cunningham and they need other – Who would you rather – who would you be like, Like, hey, who can step up more, James Harden or like Evan Mobley?

36:29PFT Commenter:Or I don't know. I mean, I just. Also, I'm just going to win either one.

36:33Big Cat:I'm strictly in the entertainment, just like, let's have the most entertaining playoffs from here on out. If James Harden could get into another game seven.

36:41PFT Commenter:That's what I was rooting for. I said, I want that.

36:43Big Cat:We want that. I want that. Bad. Game seven, James Harden at the Garden would be amazing. Yeah, probably the biggest stage that he's done it on, like at MSG. I want it bad. I think at MSG, on MSG, James Harden, like, three points. And he checks himself out in the third quarter.

37:02PFT Commenter:Or he just goes off for 50 and it's like everything. No. No. Come on. That'd be crazy. Also, it's the Knicks. It's going to be a four-game series.

37:10Big Cat:Well, the thing is, like, New York City, not really a strip club city. No. No. What's that place? He's got to go to New Jersey. Right? Near Times Square. Rick's Cabaret. But that's not. Do they do tassels there? Shout out memes. Yeah. Cabaret. Yeah, Harden's not a tassel. So he might be locked in for game seven. But yeah.

37:29PFT Commenter:Although. All right. So counterpoint. I feel like in New York City, you could just make your own strip club in your hotel room.

37:34Big Cat:Yeah, it's true. You could probably just. And there's definitely clubs that we don't know about or ever went to. Correct. Probably like there's definitely late night spots where. Correct. Zach. Couldn't you just go to Starlitz? Where's that? Men's Club. New York. Where's Starlitz? It's like an all time men's club. Damn. A men's club? Men's club? You know, like a... Are we talking dicks? No, no, no, no, no.

37:58PFT Commenter:Okay.

38:00Big Cat:Yeah, I think we just exposed ourselves as like, we don't know ball.

38:03PFT Commenter:Yeah, and we just came out as a strip club podcast, and now we're just getting exposed.

38:08Big Cat:Well, I mean, we needed Zach to show us the light. Zach is the strip club guy of this podcast.

38:13PFT Commenter:I'm actually disappointed in the AWLs to not have anyone tweet us and be like, you guys say you're a strip club podcast, name your five favorite. And we'll just be like, uh... Oh, Starlets looks like a good time. We're looking at it right now. Where is that? Zach, have you been to Starlets?

38:28Big Cat:No, I just heard stories. This is like a place Shane would like a lot.

38:33PFT Commenter:So, Zach, you were just a strip club guy.

38:36Big Cat:No, well, I guess my next career. Zach is a knowledgeable guy. Yeah.

38:39PFT Commenter:He knows.

38:40Big Cat:Yeah, it's true. That's true. That's in his blood.

38:42PFT Commenter:That's strip club capital.

38:43Big Cat:They did just remodel 2001 Space Odyssey, so if we ever want to take a field trip. We've been there. Mons Venus, yeah. They just remodeled. Me and Bicca filmed a video there. Yeah, we did.

38:51PFT Commenter:The last film in the thing upstairs. Throwback. The film in the spaceship? Yeah. It's like 11 years ago. Yeah.

39:00Big Cat:So this is in Queens?

39:02PFT Commenter:Yeah. Zach. I don't know ball. But Zach, I'm starting to think you might be a little horny because the fact that you know of a strip club that you've never been to is crazy. Zach's never been to New York.

39:13Big Cat:That's not fair. I have never been to New York. Historically, I enjoy the Joe Budden podcast. and Joe Biden is in the rafters of Starlitz.

39:21PFT Commenter:Zach is so tapped into the culture.

39:23Big Cat:Yeah, I like that. Now, there was a picture of Drake on there. Has he certified it? I believe so, yes, sir. Oh, we're certified. That might be how you found out about it, too. Okay. Drake linked up with Side Talk for an evening at Starlitz. Is Zach our coolest guy? Oh, yeah. Definitely. Like, not even close. Probably horniest, too, but yes. Zach, do we have any update on the glasses? Glasses, they haven't been shipped, but it says, we're putting together your order on the order.

39:49PFT Commenter:Oh, I meant from the strip club.

39:51Big Cat:Oh, no.

39:52PFT Commenter:Because I told Mincy to go try to find them.

39:54Big Cat:That would have been all time if he could have found them.

39:56PFT Commenter:Yeah.

39:56Big Cat:I think the kind woman who has them initially said she didn't have them, and then she knew the description of them, which made me feel like you definitely have to have them. And then, yeah, I'm never getting those back. It'd be a real shame if AWL went in there and just asked for those glasses back. Every day. Until we found them. Every day. At least she looked good in them, you know. She did. You're right. She did. How could you tell, though? because he didn't have your glasses on. He felt her face. She felt good. It's like Braille. I'm just getting two dots again. What does that mean?

40:27PFT Commenter:Oh, man. Okay, other game. Lakers. Credits to the Lakers. They fought. They fought their dicks off. The last three minutes of that game. Hold on, Hank. I got other things. Don't worry. Don't do your face.

40:39Big Cat:Big Cat's right. The last three minutes, that was a good game. And for a team that sucked in. You're just Darren Ravelle. No, no, no, no, no. No, I did not say that. Shut the fuck up, Hank. This is a bigger discussion than just the last two minutes of this game. So you shut the fuck up, and then we'll call on you when you're ready. I didn't say anything. No, you did your face. No, no. And you're also, listen, we'll get to the LeBron talk. And Hank's face does suck when he does that. He sucks, dude.

41:01PFT Commenter:He's the most punchable face in the world. There's plenty of LeBron talk to go around. What I was trying to say, Hank, is the Lakers were never even, we've said this a million times, the Lakers were never even close to being as good as the Thunder. Even if Luka was in this series, it wouldn't have mattered. The Thunder is so much better. The Lakers are a flawed team. Most teams, oh, did he just take off his headphones? Most teams, when they are in a sweep situation, will lay down like dead dogs on Mother's Day and let 1 ,000 threes get shot in their face. The Lakers did not do that. They actually fought till the bitter end, and I'll give them a little bit of credit for that.

41:41PFT Commenter:They fought really hard. And they also had no, they had no, like, if you just want to, this series is summed up perfectly in, if you just look at SGA. JJ Redick tried everything he possibly could. The first two games, they doubled him, they blitzed him. SGA didn't score a lot of points. The rest of the Thunder just beat him. Game three, he mixed the match, tried it again. Another not great SGA performance. Same thing, lost by, you know, a million. game four they're like hey we're just gonna go one-on-one against sga he drops 35 and makes some big shots at the end they just had no answers they had no answers to what the thunder pose and the thunder like even that there was that one play that's like what do you do with this because you have you have a center in deandre ayton who is just a complete like zero he he couldn't even be on the court he had did you see his new his new chain do you what was it deandre what was what does chain say his his career earnings are insane yeah in 170 million good for him the new deandre this is during a series where he's getting absolutely torched and looks like like he can't play on the court he got a a big new chain that says dominate aiden dominate i like that dominate i like that good for him so listen say what you want about deandre i was i was impressed with

43:01Big Cat:what the Lakers did in the second half because the entire series it's like okay halftime close third quarter game over yeah the Lakers actually came out they won the third quarter yeah the

43:11PFT Commenter:second quarter was their problem second quarter for like six minutes it was the first six minutes

43:14Big Cat:of the second quarter they didn't score at all and then in the second half they actually played better than the Thunder did yeah in that third quarter and they're old as fuck and they're limited and Austin Reeves was trying to do everything that he could yeah um but it was

43:26PFT Commenter:that so the one possession where it's like oh you know what would be nice if you had a center that could actually do something who can't be played off the court was that it was maybe with like two minutes left and it was basically sga hartenscheid flashes to the free throw line past the hartenscheid hartenscheid turns around lobbed to chet nothing you could do about it they just don't have anyone

43:46Big Cat:who could do anything they can't and um they had their chances the lakers had their chances in the fourth quarter they couldn't make shots at the end shot that's that's what it is and and lebron um This might be the last time that we see him on an NBA court. I think it's an abomination if he was wearing those jerseys the last time we see LeBron play. It's a combination of those jerseys and the game being on prime. That's actually a disgusting way for LeBron to end his career. It was not his greatest series, but I think he played good enough to the point where everybody knew that LeBron was doing it.

44:21Big Cat:You can't put this on him. It's the roster. And then shout out to Dylan Brooks. Because Dylan Brooks did the Hater of the Year. He stopped by his, what's the memes? He went to the funeral. Hater's funeral. Biggest hater's funeral. Biggest hater's funeral. He did that. He sat feet on the wood underneath the basket just chuckling. Just to watch LeBron James lose. I respect it. I've gone from thinking that Dylan Brooks is kind of a clown because he has built himself to be one of the LeBron stoppers of this era. He's clearly not. He's just kind of like a LeBron annoyer. He's like a mosquito that buzzes around LeBron's ear.

45:00Big Cat:But for him to do that now catapults him back into almost cartoonish hater. So a lot of respect to Dylan Brooks. I love it. Because you probably have to pay a lot of money for those tickets.

45:11PFT Commenter:I love it. Yeah. Also, the big loser of this series is the Houston Rockets. Okay. How bad are they? Yeah. pretty bad. I mean, Austin Reeves didn't even play in half the series. I mean, the thunder are awesome. I understand. But like the, the Rockets are supposed to be one of those teams that is like up and coming and ready to compete. And they lost to this Lakers. Like it's a Testament to LeBron that he was like, even winning one series was crazy in these playoffs. The question now is how do we grade LeBron's time with the Los Angeles Lakers? If it is in fact over,

45:47Big Cat:I've got one spin zone for Lakers fans because we are about to say the bubble championship, so we didn't really win.

45:55PFT Commenter:Didn't count.

45:56Big Cat:But if you want a spin zone. I can't find them. I'm trying to find the Ravel series tweet about the Nuggets.

46:01PFT Commenter:It was the Nuggets. It was like that was the most impressive. Oh, no. I think it might have been Green. There was two. One was Ravel was about the game, but then Greeny was like that was the most impressive. That was like the most exciting sweep of all time.

46:15Big Cat:Yeah, because Ravel said game one was the greatest game. It wasn't the finals game, but that was the greatest game ever played. Yeah, there's a few of those. I would say that the biggest accomplishment that the Lakers had in this era when they figured out how to put Rui Hachimura on Jokic and shut him down.

46:30PFT Commenter:Yep.

46:30Big Cat:Figure something out. That was probably number one. I think we need to withhold judgment, and we need to see what LeBron James does after this season. And if he goes somewhere else, maybe a sign-and-trade. And then we get to evaluate what they get for LeBron. And then like three years down the line, if they win a championship because of the pieces that LeBron left them, then we can say it was a success.

46:52PFT Commenter:Listen, COVID sucked. We all agree. COVID was the worst. COVID did give us one parting gift in that we can just forever say we had that championship didn't count. Yeah. And it pisses everyone off.

47:03Big Cat:Well, and the farther away you get from COVID, the faker it gets. Like the faker that the farther away from COVID you get, the faker the bubble championship is. Now, Hank, what about the if we're going to play devil's advocate?

47:14PFT Commenter:Fact or fiction? No, I know. I'm doing it mostly as a troll because I don't actually care to, like, debate the merits of the bubble championship. I just like to just stay with puffed-out chest, yeah, LeBron won zero titles as a Laker. And then everyone's like, what about the COVID? Like, sorry, I don't acknowledge that as a real title.

47:32Big Cat:But we kind of – what do we give Caruso? Do we give him half? Yeah, he got half. Okay. So he has another one. He's good.

47:38PFT Commenter:Yeah, he's good. He's about to win another one.

47:39Big Cat:Yeah. So, Hank, what do you say? He's not going to count. Like, when it's all said to him for him, he's going to be like, yeah, I got the two with the Thunder and then the bubble championship. He's never going to say I had three. You probably forget about it.

47:48PFT Commenter:It's like a side of hash. I guarantee.

47:50Big Cat:It's like a hole in one in a par three course. You have a hole in one? Yeah, but it was par three course. You have a championship? Yeah, but it was the bubble. So what about the people that would say that it's actually harder to win in the bubble? Because it was the truest fraud mafia? The 15 people on the Lakers that year and their fans? What would you say to them? It wasn't. There was no fans. I'd say, but it was maybe they would say it's the truest test of basketball because it was no fans for. Yeah, no, it's like, who cares about like the AAU fucking city regionals? It's the same thing.

48:20PFT Commenter:Oh, Anthony Davis was healthy for the first time in forever because he got to live in the same hotel and be in a bubble.

48:25Big Cat:Maybe that's not really that much of a knock about the guys that win a championship. Maybe Anthony Davis should be counted as NBA champion. Maybe he's a great player. Maybe if he's healthy, he can be a great player.

48:35PFT Commenter:If you want me to, I'll count him. That's the thing. That's the best part about the COVID. but you could just count whoever you want. I think Caruso gets one.

48:43Big Cat:I think Anthony Davis gets one. I think LeBron James.

48:46PFT Commenter:Jimmy Butler gets one for even getting to the finals. Yeah, LeBron James does not get one. This is the beauty of it, and it will piss people off. People get so upset about it.

48:55Big Cat:Does Ben Simmons get one? For missing the water when he threw the fish back? Yeah, but that might have been the peak of the Ben Simmons. Is he going to be a savior?

49:03PFT Commenter:Yeah.

49:03Big Cat:So Ben Simmons gets a ring for the bubble. Now, Hank, some people do.

49:08PFT Commenter:The Dodgers didn't win a World Series either.

49:11Big Cat:And the golfers that won majors, winning a major with no fans doesn't matter. Exactly. The NFL, Brady, there was fans of that game. That was like bubble. There was some fans. That one doesn't count as a COVID championship. The thing about the bubble championship, LeBron James was pretty much, he was a player. He was also like the de facto union rep for every team. And he was also the de facto commissioner of the NBA for about two months.

49:41PFT Commenter:Now, my video game championships with Doug, those all count.

49:44Big Cat:We all agree. Yeah, because those weren't played in a bubble. They were fans.

49:49PFT Commenter:True. Just want to make sure that we're all on the same page. I won five times. Actually, no, infinity times the amount of championships in the bubble as LeBron did. Yeah, I think that I begin to adjust my expectations.

50:02Big Cat:I have now switched to thinking that he's going to retire and just do YouTube golf full-time to now I think that he is going to not be a Laker next year, but he will play in the NBA.

50:12PFT Commenter:I think he's going to play. I don't think he's going to be a Laker. Where would the funniest place be?

50:20Big Cat:Oklahoma City. It would be so funny. Wizards. I mean, right now, we're a pretty attractive landing spot. unreal take a pay cut wizards yeah would you trade your number one pick for lebron you'd have to yeah just yes absolutely just just wait and i i don't care if that's not a real wizard yeah hold on hold on time out time out that is get brawny too content first okay i haven't done my terms i haven't done my terms that is the fakest wizards fan i'm content first and having having lebron james do a one-year stint with kd going home okay to the wizards i would brought Yeah, these are part of my term.

51:00Big Cat:So I would need Bronny. I would need the rights to Bryce Maximus. And I would need LeBron James to meet behind the scenes and do a banana boat picture with him, Bronny, Bryce, and KD. And Trey Young. And Chris Paul. Well, Trey Young's already on the team, dumbass. You need Chris Paul. No, I'm thinking how you're starting five. Chris Paul, well, he gets a ring anyways because he's a wizard for like a month, a couple years ago.

51:22PFT Commenter:Get Melo as well.

51:23Big Cat:No, those are the four that I would really want. And as a content first person, I would have to accept that over like future building of the team. But no, I think LeBron will play next year. I think it could be with the Thunder, which would be the funniest thing ever.

51:39PFT Commenter:What about the Clippers? The Clippers? Eddie threw this out in Wake Up Barstool. The Clippers trading their pick and figuring out a way to get Giannis, Kawhi, and LeBron all kind of on the same timeline, which is crazy because LeBron is going to be 42. The fact that he even still has a timeline is a testament to just how insane this entire run has been. But that would be interesting.

52:02Big Cat:Do you think the Clippers, you think they've got a future in the Kawhi business? I don't know. It's a pretty big sword that's hanging on by a thread over their neck. They're still making trees, aren't they? They're making exactly as many trees as they made before. Yeah.

52:17PFT Commenter:They need someone to rep those trees. Yeah. Either way, if LeBron does in fact retire, we'll give him flowers then. Right now, it's more fun just to say the COVID championship didn't count.

52:29Big Cat:Yeah. I think you guys all agree. 41 years old. What can you say? What can you say? I'll tell you what you could say. The COVID championship didn't count. What about next year he goes to the big three and it's him and his two sons on a team? The James gang. I would watch that.

52:45PFT Commenter:I will say LeBron, because there was the weird narrative that came out that was like, actually, COVID was the toughest one to win. 2016 was the toughest one to win. That was probably the most impressive title to win, down 3-1 to that Warriors team. Like that, hey, tip my cap, LeBron. But either way, yeah, I hope it's not the last time. I like watching him play. I like also the discourse that comes from it. He's not retiring. What if he stays? What if he plays one more year and then he wins one in the Hantavirus bubble?

53:22PFT Commenter:And he just only can win in bubbles.

53:25Big Cat:Now he can only win in bubbles. Yeah, now he can only win in bubbles.

53:29PFT Commenter:Just think about that.

53:30Big Cat:What if the Bucs are like, you know what? We're not going to trade Giannis. We're going to keep him around. We'll try to get LeBron.

53:39PFT Commenter:That would be interesting. That would be interesting.

53:41Big Cat:Don't see LeBron in Milwaukee.

53:44PFT Commenter:Why not? What if he went to Memphis? He's like, my bad, guys. I shouldn't have said all that shit. I'm going to come and do a farewell tour in Memphis.

53:53Big Cat:Yeah, the LeBron apology tour.

53:56PFT Commenter:Zach, you're a big LeBron lover. Are you mad about what we've been saying?

54:00Big Cat:Not upset. I would just like to go on record and say a bubble championship's unprecedented territory. Never seen it before, and he got it done.

54:07PFT Commenter:So for you, it counts.

54:08Big Cat:I would like to count that as a ring. Do you count in the 40s when all the people were at war? Do you count those championships? We must lost the entire earth, and LeBron James was able to persevere and get a ring. Wow. That's nice. The entire earth was almost gone.

54:25PFT Commenter:And I've heard what you said, and I still don't count it.

54:28Big Cat:And that's just two guys at odds.

54:29PFT Commenter:Yep. Two guys never see eye to eye when it comes to the COVID championship. And LeBron's one guy with four rings.

54:35Big Cat:How many lives did LeBron save? How many championship losses, though? How many lives by having the entire NBA live in quarantine and isolation? He probably saved hundreds of thousands of lives across the country. I would say also essential worker wise. A lot of homes got to keep buying groceries. Shout out to the NBA. He flattened the curve. Good for the economy. Yeah. LeBron James was responsible for flattening that curve.

54:58PFT Commenter:I do wish. I wish LeBron fans would have a little bit of a sense of humor when it's like when the longevity stats get thrown back at him. Because they are funny. Do you see the stat that he's been swept in the playoffs in every single decade of his life? Wow. That's just funny. That's not – if you get upset about that stat, that's ridiculous because it's really just a stat saying LeBron has played so many years in the NBA. It's insane that he's still playing at 41. It's actually a positive stat. But, yeah, you just tweet that out and people get very upset. Okay, I'm going to go through the list.

55:30PFT Commenter:20s, 30s, and 40s.

55:31Big Cat:So we've got the roster here for the 2020 Los Angeles Lakers. so we can see who actually gets credit for that ring. Okay. Okay, so we got LeBron James. No. Okay. Avery Bradley.

55:44PFT Commenter:No.

55:45Big Cat:KCP.

55:46PFT Commenter:Yes.

55:47Big Cat:Alex Caruso.

55:48PFT Commenter:Yeah, half.

55:49Big Cat:Anthony Davis.

55:50PFT Commenter:For you, yes.

55:51Big Cat:Okay, thank you. Danny Green.

55:53PFT Commenter:Yeah, why not?

55:54Big Cat:Dwight Howard.

55:55PFT Commenter:Yes, definitely. Yes, thank you. Maybe he gets LeBron's. Yeah.

55:58Big Cat:Kyle Kuzma.

55:59PFT Commenter:Yeah, sure.

56:00Big Cat:JaVale McGee. Yes, definitely. He gets two. JaVale gets two. Definitely gets two. Markeith Morris. Nah. Rajon Rondo? Yes.

56:08PFT Commenter:Half.

56:09Big Cat:J.R. Smith? Full. Dion Waiters? Half. Okay, that's fair. I actually do think that that's a perfect representation of who should get a ring for that.

56:22PFT Commenter:We nailed it.

56:24Big Cat:What, Max? There's rumors that the Wizards might trade Anthony Davis. Oh, there's rumors. Oh, there's rumors. You've been reading a lot of posts.

56:33PFT Commenter:Also, Anthony Davis isn't going to play.

56:34Big Cat:That's what I'm saying. I love that you're riding and dying for a guy who may never play a minute. He's the healthiest he's ever been right now. Also, I don't know if you saw this. Anthony Davis took a break from doing his prank videos, and he was out hitting some golf balls. He was wearing Wizards pants the other day. Whoa. What are Wizards pants? Like actual Wizards pants or Washington Wizards pants? That would rock if he was wearing like JNCOs on the course. No, it had the Wizards logo on there. They make those?

57:01PFT Commenter:Congrats. How do you not own those?

57:03Big Cat:What, a pair of pants? Like a sweatsuit bottom? Yeah. I am mesmerized that they make any merch at all with Wizards logos on them. That's shocking to me. I know. But yeah, Max, he's going to play. We can pay him next year, and he wants to play for a team that's got a chance to compete. I feel like with this lineup, the Wizards will be fun enough to compete in the East. I hope so. Why do you think he wants to be traded? I don't think he wants to be traded. He probably does, knowing him. He gave an interview. Why would you want to play for the Wizards? It's a fair counterpoint. Don't look at me. Hank's the one that said that.

57:37Big Cat:This is some old-ass mindset you've got right now. The Wizards in the last three years have had a plan, and now the plan has come to fruition. Lose. And we've got morons like you that refuse to change your mindset, and you think of the Wizards the same way you've thought about them for the last 40 years. This is a new era in Wizards basketball in D.C. We're going back to the 70s, bullets ball. We've got a plan. We've got good pieces. We got a young core, and it's disgusting that you, Hank, I thought that you were a basketball mind. I thought that you understood the beautiful game, the sweet science.

58:11Big Cat:But a dummy could look at this roster and say, this roster is fun, young. Roster, schmoster, it's the franchise. Roster, schmoster? You schmostered me? I just got schmostered? You have forgotten what it's like because the commander's got new ownership. They made a playoff run. But the franchise before that was a joke. The Wizards franchise is a joke. I'm fully aware. But now you're like, oh, no, it's different. Because my brain is capable of absorbing new information and changing my mind based on the facts. Yours isn't. You're stuck in 2016 mode. You're still waking up every day thinking about how to monetize a fucking dead gorilla.

58:48Big Cat:Oh, I'm over here. Is that true? Yeah. Gorilla Schmarilla. Gorilla Schmarilla. That was awareness. Roster Sposter. Ross, listen, there will be plenty of time next year to talk about the Wizards. We don't need to talk about them anymore until the draft, at least. But Anthony Davis is going to – he wants to play. He wants to be a Wizard.

59:07PFT Commenter:Yeah.

59:08Big Cat:Who doesn't want to be a Wizard?

59:09PFT Commenter:Can we – last thing on the LeBron thing. Can we just agree, like, obviously some tongue-in-cheek going on, but the Lakers are three in terms of his three teams, right? It's Cavs one, Heat two, Lakers three. Yeah. Because he won two with the Heat. The 2016 is the most important championship he's ever won. I think LeBron would say that. And then bubble. Yeah. So he's going in his cap.

59:36Big Cat:I would agree. Even though the NBA or the professional basketball hall of fame, you don't go in. We can say LeBron James is going in as a Cleveland Cavalier in this podcast's eyes.

59:46PFT Commenter:Yes. Yes. Okay. Anything else before we do? Hot seat, cool throne, and then we get some interviews. I think we'll cover some more stuff on hot seat, cool throne. It is brought to you, this episode is brought to you by our friends at Body Armor. Body Armor Flash IV. 1:00:32Big Cat:My hot seat is just anyone that thinks Giannis is going to get traded. This is just the new thing with him. It's the trade deadline all over again. It's not a new thing. No, I know. It's not a new thing. That's what I meant to say. Yeah. But it always ends up the same way. It's just a bunch of... Wasn't there the whole thing where he was like, like, oh, prediction markets, prediction markets, and he just signed a big deal with Kalshi. Yeah. It's all just smoke and mirrors. He's not going to get traded. Do you think this is all a play for him to just cash in on his own future? Who knows? But I'm not going to get – I see all these reports.

1:01:06Big Cat:It's Shams. Shams is – who knows? He's compromised. Thank you. Yeah.

1:01:15PFT Commenter:He is. He's compromised. I felt this about Shams.

1:01:17Big Cat:I'm not listening. I'm not letting myself get my hopes up or anything. saying he's going to stay in Milwaukee or he's not going to get traded. Open for business is what Shams says. That's exactly it. It was the exact same thing. At the trade deadline, you would have thought it was 99 % he's getting traded. It was just a matter of who based on the reports, and then nothing happened. I've thought this about Shams going back. It was the start of last season when he put out that report being like, Giannis almost got traded last off. I was like, what the fuck? If he was going to get traded, it would have been to the Knicks.

1:01:49Big Cat:Yeah, what is the point of that report that Shams put out last year? I don't understand it. It was weird. And then everything since then from Shams has been very strange around Giannis. I think he's going to get traded. They've said one of two things. This is what the Bucs say. This is straight from the Bucs. They say one of two things will happen. Either he will be extended or he'll be traded. So there you go.

1:02:12PFT Commenter:Well, yeah, his extension is up this year. So they kind of have to.

1:02:15Big Cat:So mystery solved.

1:02:16PFT Commenter:But I actually think it might be both. You think sign and trade? Yeah, I think they're going to extend him and then trade him.

1:02:21Big Cat:I just think, like, if you're a Bucs fan, you want him to be traded.

1:02:25PFT Commenter:Correct. At this point, yes. He's 31. Like, I'm not saying that he doesn't have some years left, but what, are you going to rebuild around him?

1:02:34Big Cat:You've got to turn the page, and this is the best way to do it because you can get real assets and, like, jumpstart your next chapter. You've got to trade him. You have to. It would be idiotic not to trade him at this point.

1:02:47PFT Commenter:And you're in a market which, and this actually is speaking for 90 % of the NBA, a market that doesn't usually get free agents. And again, that's not a knock on Milwaukee because the Bulls don't get free agents either. There's like four teams that get free agents. So do what you can right now to get draft picks.

1:03:06Big Cat:So do you think that the Bucs are rooting for the Knicks to definitely lose in the finals so that they will see Giannis as being the missing piece.

1:03:17PFT Commenter:I don't think the Knicks can trade for Giannis.

1:03:20Big Cat:So the teams that were interested at the trade deadline were the Wolves, the Cavs, the Celtics, the Knicks, and the Lakers.

1:03:27PFT Commenter:Do the Knicks have anything they can trade for Giannis? I don't know.

1:03:30Big Cat:It would just be the entire team. Yeah, right. Exactly.

1:03:33PFT Commenter:But I feel like that's not even what the Bucs should be looking for. No, they want draft picks and young talent. And the Knicks have already traded all their picks.

1:03:42Big Cat:They have no more picks. But Actually no No you're in the middle of the playoffs

1:03:47PFT Commenter:What are you doing What are you doing dude

1:03:51Big Cat:The counterpoint would be like the Bucks fans You get to be back in the Eastern Conference Finals With all these people Get yourself composed No way they would not be back in the Eastern Conference What The Knicks are currently in the conference But you don't have Jalen Brunson But if you take all those players To that team Eastern Conference Finals

1:04:07PFT Commenter:Wait wait so you're saying He's actually right if you trade the entire Knicks team They would probably be the Eastern Conference They wouldn't trade Jalen Brunson.

1:04:14Big Cat:It would just be in Milwaukee. But they wouldn't have their best player. Or Giannis. Yeah. But you're saying that the Knicks... Would the Knicks be in the Eastern Conference Final without Jalen Brunson? Actually, maybe this year. Maybe this year. Oh, yeah. Do you want him, Hank? No. I mean, he's not going to get traded, so it doesn't matter.

1:04:33PFT Commenter:You want Jalen Brown?

1:04:35Big Cat:Yeah.

1:04:35PFT Commenter:Right.

1:04:39PFT Commenter:You're matching, but the same color. What's going on today?

1:04:48Big Cat:You're browned out. I didn't know we were doing fashion.

1:04:52PFT Commenter:No, I didn't either, but I just looked at you for a second. I was like, whoa.

1:04:54Big Cat:I put on a hoodie, and then I was like, oh, a hoodie might be too hot because it's a little bit nice out. So I put on a layer, and then I put it on, realized how much brown I had on. didn't care enough to change it into something else that made more sense. But yeah, I did just... I audibled at the last second. Yeah. It works, though.

1:05:16PFT Commenter:Yeah, if you're a UPS driver. Yeah, or like a big shit. Yeah, sure.

1:05:21Big Cat:Shit wouldn't be multiple colors browns. That's not true. Sounds like you don't do enough at the table. Oh, yeah. Yeah, they know they change. You're not going hard enough in the paint. Sometimes you take a shit that straddles... Different times of the day. No. But I don't take like... Oh, yeah. No. One turd is going to be two-tone. You take a shit that straddles two meals. It's like, okay, that's the end of life. I mean, core, like brown and yellow.

1:05:44PFT Commenter:Yeah, it's like cutting open a tree. You can see how old it is.

1:05:47Big Cat:Yeah. Or it's like color rush if you have something wacky. Yeah. Two-tone dookie. No, not me. But speaking of bathrooms and you, Big Cat, my cool throne is you.

1:05:57PFT Commenter:Why?

1:05:58Big Cat:Some people, not me, are saying that your addiction of buying random things from random auctions is possibly concerning. and maybe going to lead this office to a point of no return. Who's saying that? I'm just people online and not, yeah. Who? I've seen the discourse.

1:06:14PFT Commenter:Hater Hank. No, I'm not saying that. You can golf and I can't buy shit. I like it. You have a history of doing this.

1:06:22Big Cat:You used to buy park benches.

1:06:24PFT Commenter:No, not a park bench. It was from Dominic's grocery store. It was also a one and a half seater. Yeah.

1:06:30Big Cat:This has been a thing. You get into these phases, and then in a year, we're like, oh why the fuck am i sitting on this like random couch from you know iowa state 2003 wrestling team but but that's just how it goes who knows okay uh like a link to that but today and and today i walked in the bathroom there was like a bunch of construction guys there's like flooding in our bathroom wait what and and i was like oh sorry they're like oh you can go they're like the trough's open yeah they're like you can piss whoa like the toilets are fucked but the trough is open And I was like, thank God we have this trough.

1:07:05Big Cat:Okay. Yeah. Cool throne. Okay. All right. Good. Yeah. You're welcome. Thank you. Yeah. I know. So the urinals are busted. Regular plumbing. Did you not see the bathroom yesterday? It was a crime scene. Really? If we didn't have the trough. There was shit water coming from the floor. But not the trough. But not the trough. Not the trough.

1:07:20PFT Commenter:The trough saved us. So yeah.

1:07:23Big Cat:Cool throne. Big cat.

1:07:24PFT Commenter:Okay. All right. So who did that?

1:07:27Big Cat:I don't know.

1:07:28PFT Commenter:One of the construction worker guys?

1:07:29Big Cat:I think that bathroom was had. I think it was Max.

1:07:32PFT Commenter:Yeah. probably was max yeah stop saying max clogged the toilets and caused a flood did you

1:07:42Big Cat:yes it was a crime seat per max

1:07:45PFT Commenter:listen you know me very well Hank we're just gonna ride the wave on the shit I buy I know eventually we're probably gonna run out of either space or money and then we'll have to do a reassess

1:08:01Big Cat:I appreciate this about you. This is actually not Hater. I'm kind of the same way. You get very into something for a stretch of time, and then it just completely will go away. But like I'm saying, in a year, that will still live on, and it'll be like, oh, yeah, this is like God knows what from God knows where, but we have this. It's a Boise Boone turf. Couldn't tell you. Speaking of that, I got to think of something to do with mascot costumes because I've got two more that are on the way. Great.

1:08:29PFT Commenter:Let's get it set up.

1:08:30Big Cat:Can we get a mannequin situation set up? We'll probably have the bleachers from the Nebraska softball team. They have that? We can put the mascots on sitting in seats. Sounds great. We can have a permanent audience. Sounds great. Oh, that sounds actually awesome. On the blue turf. Get mannequins. Yeah, we'll get mannequins to put the mascots in. But we're going to need more than five mascots. Because that's going to look really empty if we only have five mascots watching us.

1:08:58PFT Commenter:Hank, think about this. okay think about this so i've i've been talking to boise state football i purchased the 10 the number 10 from the blue turf uh in in talks we have agreed for me to be able to purchase enough that we could re-turf the entire side of the office so it's going to be whole blue turf on that entire side they're just banging you i don't see it that way it's like you could pay more i disagree i do not see it that way but no but here's where we make money what if we then sell our turf no one will buy yeah oh you don't think anyone would buy the barstool chicago hq turf no i would who there it's turf yeah like your house like and i'm not i'm not trying to like

1:09:51Big Cat:talk out a potential buyer of the Barstool turf. If I were, you would be like, it's green turf. You could just buy green turf. No, it's like Boise State blue turf. We could just buy blue turf.

1:10:02PFT Commenter:No, you need the official. It needs to be official. This is where LeGarrette Blunt punched the Boise player. I'm going to say that.

1:10:11Big Cat:Was that at home? That was a home game. On the 10-yard line specifically?

1:10:15PFT Commenter:I'm going to say it. You could say it. How often do they re-turf their field? This is the first time ever. Idiots. It's the first time ever, as far as I can tell. It's never been done. Yeah, I want some more stuff. The problem is my right-hand guy, Stephen Shea, he doesn't really understand what I want. So he keeps sending me stuff. He sent me just a big, giant 7-Eleven sign. And it was cool, but I was like, that's just free advertising.

1:10:41Big Cat:Pizza clock? What? Pizza clock? Oh. That's what Shane really wants.

1:10:46PFT Commenter:Okay, we can get that for the boy.

1:10:48Big Cat:If they exist. He got scared.

1:10:50PFT Commenter:He got scammed out of a Pizza Hut clock? Do you remember this? Oh, yeah.

1:10:54Big Cat:He tried to buy one.

1:10:55PFT Commenter:He got scammed. He became obsessed with the Pizza Hut clock from the 1980s.

1:10:59Big Cat:Yeah, we didn't even know if it ever was a thing. That's right.

1:11:01PFT Commenter:I forgot about that. But yeah, I'm open for business. If anyone's got some crazy, large memorabilia. It's got to be stupid, though. I don't want shit that's actually memorable. You know what I mean?

1:11:14Big Cat:Mm-hmm.

1:11:15PFT Commenter:We need dumb stuff. Stuff that actually has no meaning.

1:11:18Big Cat:LeGarrette Blount did get punched on the tent. or did the punch on the 10. Fuck yes.

1:11:22PFT Commenter:Thank you. Bang. Is that true? Let's get them in here. Just watch the video. Okay, great. So that's exactly what I bought.

1:11:30Big Cat:The Jaguars, that was the Super Bowl with the Eagles and the Patriots, right? The Jaguars, yeah. Did they have field turf at the time? Because if so, I would like to purchase a spot where McNabb threw up. Oh. No, they had grass. That was in Jacksonville, yeah. That was grass in Jacksonville.

1:11:48PFT Commenter:Yeah, dude. Dude, I mean, the Jaguars are doing renovations. Imagine if we bought the pool. Yeah. How sick would that be if they had a pool?

1:11:55Big Cat:They're not getting rid of the pool. If we just had a pool on the second level? You know what they do? They call it. What, Hank? No, I'm saying we could turn that room into a pool. Into just what they have. Yeah, into the Jaguars' pool. It's actually a spa. Everyone has to.

1:12:08PFT Commenter:There has to be someone.

1:12:09Big Cat:We could sell tickets. Like, hey, want to come watch us play Friday basketball in our pool? Yeah, but you got to wear jeans. Out of respect. Again, it's the spa. Spa. specifically do not call it the pool in jacksonville it's a spa i would like that pool i would like

1:12:23PFT Commenter:that pool it's a spa uh okay pft your hot seat cool throw good job hank spirited debate my hot

1:12:29Big Cat:seat is racism oh racism's dead nfl uh no lane kiffin killed it so shout out to lane kiffin gave a big interview yesterday and uh and kicked the hornet's nest really stirred up some rivalries so i mean the way that he left old miss they were not going to be happy with him but then he does this interview with vanity fair and uh and makes a remark about um how he had recruits that would visit him at old miss and their parents and grandparents would be uncomfortable with going to old miss because of the history of racism now lane is now the coach of the lsu tigers which the state of louisiana has its own issues i don't know if you guys are familiar with this with maybe some racism in the past and uh the two schools are now arguing with each other over who is least racist, Mississippi or Louisiana, which is a lot like the debate they get in every year when the educational rankings come out, when they're like, as long as we can finish above Mississippi, we're happy.

1:13:27PFT Commenter:Yeah. I actually, so I've followed this story. I don't think it's exactly, that's not exactly the argument. I think what I've distilled from this argument is LSU saying, Ole Miss, you're more racist than us, and Ole Miss saying, nah, we're the same. Yeah.

1:13:43Big Cat:we're both that's probably true yeah um but it's a fun debate it started like lane is not having that debate yeah he's no no this is what it's become lane lane was saying that there were some grandparents that didn't want their kids to go there because of almost history and then but lane also was happy to recruit those uh recruit people while he was at old miss for a long time and then he goes to lsu and now it's an issue he's at lsu so now people are like why are you waiting until now to say it etc etc and then the fans online yeah starts it you're and then at that point it becomes yeah well here's the demographic breakdown of oxford mississippi correct yeah well uh you the the tigers are named after a battalion in the civil war and so now it's just like it's just a

1:14:28PFT Commenter:flame war back and forth and lane lane came out and had a comment today where he was just like i did a four-hour interview and they asked about everything and that's unfortunately like when you do an interview like that they're gonna pick the the writer knew yeah like when he asked something about that it's gonna be a story so that's what they led with and then lane did say and there

1:14:46Big Cat:probably was people like grandparents and grandparents it wasn't like that's all i left

1:14:50PFT Commenter:yeah no it's not why i left at all but yeah with every every school has something they have to deal with when recruiting well like no matter what like whether it be location culture anything like that's

1:15:01Big Cat:just the part of the job and i think it's fair to say like if you ask grandparents of kids that are that are being recruited right now like what was the reputation that old miss had back in the 1960s that's probably a very very common thing that people do say um but then lane said i hope my comment came across respectful to ole miss so like the next day he met up with the guy for more interview and then he was like hey i've been thinking about this overnight i hope that what i said was respectful he knew that this was coming at some point yeah um but yeah it does it feels like now we're getting into a tale of the tape of who's less racist yeah uh lsu versus ole miss and uh i'm who you got i'm enjoying well we can do the tail of the tape no you want to do the tail of the tape on that i don't what's the least racist thing each university is known for i think ole miss when they uh they had that viral moment when they were thinking about changing their mascot to the guy from star wars that was just that was good clean fun um lsu probably the get the gat video from the white house yeah that was like a beautiful celebration of diversity hot is also hot which helps it's like harvard and m.a.

1:16:13Big Cat:m.i.t. if they're arguing over like who accept less money from epstein ohio state wexner yeah yeah that's the answer yeah okay your cool throne uh yeah so then my cool throne is hockey being hockey tough yeah because uh i don't know if you guys saw the hockey game last it was a great hockey game like The third period, obviously, the abs poured it on the wild once they pulled the goalie. But McKinnon taking a puck to the chops. It was like upper chops, lower nose, was spitting out blood everywhere, and then he comes in, hits empty netter at the end. But it was a great game.

1:16:50PFT Commenter:He was hurt for like maybe a half a second. Like when he gets hit, he goes down, he holds his face, and then when he lifts his face, he's more just like, God damn it. Like, I'm going to have to deal with this blood now. Yeah. This is right back in the game.

1:17:07Big Cat:He was more pissed off. He had the human reaction, though, which is like you get hit in the face and then it takes your body a half second to be like, oh, no, this is really bad. Yeah. Like, let's drop the stick. Let's see what's going on with my chicklets.

1:17:18PFT Commenter:Yeah.

1:17:18Big Cat:And then he comes back in. But, yeah, the abs. They're nasty. It's great hockey. Their beer was awesome. This was a very, very good hockey game. Hughes just ran out of gas. It is.

1:17:30PFT Commenter:Uh-oh.

1:17:31Big Cat:No, it's not. it's like they i i just didn't play hockey so i'm all and we joke about it with the conditioning

1:17:36PFT Commenter:and stuff but it's like no there's they're full-on sprinting they're dead don't ever let ryan whitney hear this part or he had him playing 32 minutes but you could like he couldn't move his body

1:17:46Big Cat:towards the end it was like he just wasn't it's like why isn't he getting to the puck it's like

1:17:50PFT Commenter:oh yeah like his legs are probably literally jello they're just they're doing all-out sprints and also the whole time they're sprinting being like oh i might get fucking smashed in the face how

1:18:00Big Cat:How many of these guys are 41, though? True. Right? Good point. Good point.

1:18:05PFT Commenter:Okay. My hot seat is Bucks owner Wesley Edens because, one, they're going to trade Giannis. Nope. I think we all agree. And then, two, they didn't get any lottery luck. And then three, he was being extorted by a woman that he met on LinkedIn DMs, which is the most unromantic thing you could ever do in the world.

1:18:33Big Cat:That's where it goes down. Is he a billionaire? He's a billionaire.

1:18:36PFT Commenter:So apparently he was divorced. So he was single, had sex with a woman. Woman then was like, I videotaped us and I did all this stuff. And then basically he was like, I want money. the whole thing. Just bad times for Wesley Edens. Just, dude, LinkedIn DMs are just not us. LinkedIn DMs are not where you want to be.

1:18:57Big Cat:You got to have a billionaire friend that can tell you how to do it. Have an assistant just control your Instagram DMs.

1:19:03PFT Commenter:Yeah.

1:19:04Big Cat:I just assume that everybody on LinkedIn is a bot.

1:19:08PFT Commenter:That's more Instagram now. Instagram's got a lot of bots.

1:19:11Big Cat:There's a lot of that too, but I would like to know what her pickup line was on LinkedIn because it's weird how people log into different social media sites and they're just in a different mood like you behave differently on linkedin then i would assume people would behave on instagram right i would actually is that is that the new is that where it goes down now where like linkedin has become the

1:19:31PFT Commenter:horny hookup site i don't know but i i i would probably pay the extortion amount just so that people didn't know that i was hooking up with chicks from linkedin but it might be the you know i mean like i'd be like you know what here's a couple million let's not talk about the linkedin

1:19:45Big Cat:dms between this and jp morgan that might be the new place to go to get laid though yeah it's horny out there linkedin dms so she tried to blackmail him based on what did he like send nudes too no

1:19:57PFT Commenter:they hooked up they had sex and then she and then she was then she like kind of did some weird stuff and he ended it and then she was like yeah he's i videotaped it all and and then also claimed an STD and wanted like a billion dollars.

1:20:14Big Cat:Okay.

1:20:15PFT Commenter:Yeah. I don't know. LinkedIn DM stay away.

1:20:17Big Cat:There's a lot of I just don't see blackmail working against a single NBA owner. No. No.

1:20:25PFT Commenter:Let's see what the let me see. She's getting sued. Yeah. Yeah. No, it's reverse. Yeah. No, she she tried to blackmail him. Yeah. Bad times LinkedIn DMs and then my cool throne is John Rahm because John Rahm was asked about what he learned from the decision to leave the PGA Tour and join Live Golf and he said that's for me to know and that's about that. Okay.

1:20:48Big Cat:So that should settle it. No more questions. Good answer. The media will now back off.

1:20:53PFT Commenter:He literally just did the grade school. I know you are. I'm not telling you. I'm not telling you. I know. I ain't saying.

1:21:03Big Cat:300 mil. You think he's

1:21:05PFT Commenter:going back, Hank? No.

1:21:07Big Cat:I think he's going to do DP World Tour.

1:21:09PFT Commenter:Yeah. Max, what are your thoughts on Live? don't care I think he's going back yeah he's going back he's definitely going back

1:21:19Big Cat:I don't think he's going to not next year I think the PGA will be like you're Jon Rahm he wants to play in the Ryder Cup he can play the DP World Tour to play in the Ryder Cup and that way you can do the road to Dubai right that is the road to Dubai yeah all roads lead to Dubai

1:21:35PFT Commenter:and that's the most important thing like Rory taught us that do you see Rory also said this course is not he's like you don't have to think at all they're all saying that yeah we're gonna have shane bacon on just just bomb it i love that actually sounds great for brooks yeah yeah yeah that sounds really good just don't think uh zach finish us off my hot seat this week is

1:21:54Big Cat:going to be ronda rousey because she's returning to the octagon oh after like 3 400 days she's got a chance to maybe right the ship and get a win broke that is true maybe i don't know her i'm not in her pockets like that this could be a money play but also could be two women duking it out Maybe she has the passion. Yeah, she really wants to fight as a 40-year-old woman. How old is she? I think she's 39. Her opponent may be 44. Wait, who is she fighting? Gina Carano. Gina Carano. Oh, yeah. I mean, that would be an awesome fight 10 years ago. I mean, they look in shape. They look fight-ready. So I thought it could be exciting.

1:22:28Big Cat:But fair enough. Where are they going to fight? Inglewood. There's a... Probably in a ring or something. Yeah, it's like a... Octagon. It's right down the street from where we're doing the... Is it boxing? I thought initially that it was in the cage, but could be boxing just because of the age. And that's on me for not being a good fight guy. I don't know. Hank, you're our expert. It's on Netflix. No, it's MMA. Never mind. You're our expert, Hank. What do you say? What a plug. It is.

1:22:54PFT Commenter:It's on Netflix. Great plug, Jack. Way to go.

1:22:59Big Cat:Hank should do a Manning cast for this fight on Netflix.

1:23:02PFT Commenter:You are UFC guy. Yeah.

1:23:05Big Cat:Just solo.

1:23:06PFT Commenter:I thought it was just boxing because anytime anyone tries to do something else later on in life, they're like, we'll just box. Because boxing is, you can't get as hurt. You know what I mean? Wait, is it UFC or boxing?

1:23:17Big Cat:I think it's UFC. MMA fight, yeah. Yeah, yeah. All right. It's MMA, right? It's not a UFC. It can't be UFC fight. No, it's MMA.

1:23:23PFT Commenter:Yeah, yeah.

1:23:25Big Cat:It's mixed martial arts. Into a Dome, I believe, which is like right down the street from the YouTube theater. So you're going to do a live stream? We'll have to talk to Netflix. What's the date of it? We can do that right now. I'll send an email.

1:23:37PFT Commenter:It's going to be P, Netflix. This Saturday?

1:23:40Big Cat:Yes, sir.

1:23:41PFT Commenter:Oh, okay, great. You don't have plans. Hank, who do you got?

1:23:45Big Cat:Probably Ronda Rousey, right? Yeah, that's probably. I think the last time.

1:23:48PFT Commenter:We should actually just fly him out there. You want to go? Yeah, you should just do a live stream. Sure. IRL. Fly me out there. Okay.

1:23:56Big Cat:Okay.

1:23:58PFT Commenter:You won't? Dude, are you a UFC guy or not?

1:24:04Big Cat:This isn't UFC. I actually am our UFC guy, and I actually don't want to do a conflict of interest. But if you guys really want me to, I will. There's no conflict of interest. How is that a conflict of interest? I'm a UFC guy. It's actually converted. I'm only interested in UFC. No, you're an MMA guy. UFC. No, MMA. Combat sports, actually. It's all combat sports. Guess the last time that Gina Carano fought. 2014. No. 2009. Oh, my God. Wow. She hasn't fought since 2009. Wow. But she probably misses it too for the love of the game. Yes. All right, Cool Throne? My Cool Throne this week is going to be the former FaZe Media guys because they rebranded and things are going swimmingly.

1:24:48Big Cat:Have you guys seen that? I did. I have not. I'm balls deep in this. Balls deep? Mm-hmm. Do you have any takeaways? I mean, I'm excited to see what they're going to be putting out. Who's your favorite guy? My favorite FaZe? Yeah, the new core group. I like Snuffy Face. The young core. I like them all. They got a lot of assets and some key veteran pieces. I like Ghost Phase. That's actually true. Yeah. Ghost Phase. Ghost Phase is awesome. Yeah. Phase of Music. Spidey Phase. Mm-hmm.

1:25:18PFT Commenter:Spidey Phase? Yeah, Spidey Phase. It's one of the Phase guys. What about the Ween? The Ween. I like the Ween. Of course. I like Weezer. I like the Ween.

1:25:24Big Cat:Yes, Ween. Who else we got? Stable. Yeah, Stable Ronaldo. Stable, Sable. Stable on a generational talent. Dan Cable. Silky.

1:25:33PFT Commenter:All these guys. Yeah. Silky. Silky. Silky. Silky. Adapt.

1:25:41Big Cat:Scruffy? They do sound like just - Is there a Scruffy? No Limit rebranded for the 2020s. Is there a Scruffy or no? No, sir.

1:25:49PFT Commenter:Okay.

1:25:50Big Cat:It was stable. So, yeah, I know everything they're up to, Zach, but you want to tell the audience, like, from your perspective, what they're doing? I just thought that rebrand was impressive because they, like, they dropped the first YouTube video, did, like, 2.5 in the first three days. They flip the followers on the old FaZe account. Does that say seven-year-old? He's an adult male. People get out of hand with the captions. Oh, okay. They'll just put anything in there.

1:26:14PFT Commenter:Okay.

1:26:16Big Cat:Yeah, Newhouse.

1:26:16PFT Commenter:Stable Ronaldo is his name? Yes, sir.

1:26:21Big Cat:Now, Zach, you know me. I'm a Nadeshot guy. Yes, sir. So does Nadeshot have beef, or is he friendly with these guys? No, no beef whatsoever. Okay. No conflict. Alright So for the record If it involves A beef with Nadeshot I'm taking Nadeshot What about Banks though? You're going Banks or Core? I'm an Embrax guy

1:26:43PFT Commenter:Me? That's me That's just me talking

1:26:51Big Cat:Alright good job Zach PFT Nadeshot's been Doing fantastic on CSGO On Faceit recently Yeah He's a goat He's been fucking it up He's a goat Alright good job

1:27:01PFT Commenter:Good job, boys.

1:27:02Big Cat:Let's get to our interviews. Before we get to Brooks Koepke, he's brought to you by our great friends over at Twisted Tea. Summer's right around the corner. Twisted Tea is coming in clutch to turn our day drinking up a notch. The new Summer Party Pack has a brand new Twisted Lemonade made with real lemons, 5 % alcohol. It's got that refreshing taste with a little kick, no carbonation, and goes down smooth. Whether it's hitting the course for a round, pre-gaming a ballgame, or inviting the guys over for some backyard grilling, the new Twisted Tea Summer Party Pack is perfect to keep the good times rolling.

1:27:30Big Cat:Grab a refreshing Twisted Tea today I can't wait for the Twisted Lemonade I'm going to be ripping those out on the golf course Going to be ripping those when I'm on the grill Twisted Tea, Lemonade together What could be better than that? And now, here is Brooks Koepka

1:27:47PFT Commenter:Okay, we now welcome on a very, very, very, very, very special guest He is five-time major champion Our good friend, Brooks Koepka Getting ready for the PGA Championship uh brooks first of all great to see you it's been too long anything happened since we last seen you no i don't think so i don't think i don't think anything's happened it's been quite quiet just hanging out yeah yeah just hanging and doing nothing yeah i've seen you wait wait my turn to start to play an event yes i've seen you uh hanging around a lot of

1:28:24Big Cat:clubhouses just like seeing if you can get a tea time you should try to reserve those in advance yeah i know i probably should sitting around waiting is not uh not the most fun wait a real question when you do that what are you thinking about are you just on your phone the whole time are you is there like a a game that you've been playing to keep yourself occupied how's that go no i actually at rbc i actually fell asleep in that chair yeah and i realized then when everyone started texting me that i was i looked miserable and i was like oh crap i'm asleep so then i just went to the car and slept i don't think you didn't look miserable you just look bored i think everybody that was like a very human thing it's like yeah he's got to be so bored yeah yeah i honestly actually doubt i did not touch my clubs that day i literally just sat around for yeah i don't think i got out of a seat or the the driver's seat for about seven or eight hours

1:29:19PFT Commenter:is it is it like going back to this it's got to feel a little weird because it's like you've won five majors you're you're brooks kapka are you are you enjoying it a little bit where it's like hey yeah obviously it's not ideal but it's like i i know what's gonna i know what i have to do and i'll be back sooner than later and it's kind of like you never thought you'd be sitting waiting for see if you were invited into a tournament but there's also a part of it's like i don't know it's kind of cool like not humbling but like kind of cool that you get to experience this again it's it's definitely humbling but uh honestly it's kind of fun though you just get to sit around watch everybody do their routines kind of figure it out but it's i don't know it's kind of motivating too at the same time because you're just watching everybody else play and you're like i have zero chance of playing yeah so um yeah sitting there's not a bunch of fun but hey i'm practicing i get to go.

1:30:12I went to Hilton Head for I don't know 48 hours and then drove up and down from Miami I don't know three different times in a matter of two days so a lot of traveling going on but it's a lot of fun man. It's cool. It's good to be back.

1:30:26PFT Commenter:Yeah I'm trying to put a positive spin zone on it. I feel like you still are playing golf and you're still playing really good golf. You shot 29 on the back nine? Yeah. That's insane. Were you in the zone? Yeah no it was good honestly you're gonna laugh it was the worst 64 i've ever shot it was i don't know i hit the ball unbelievably like uh like in those video games like back in like the tiger woods thing you just i hit it to like five to ten feet all day and just didn't hold a putt on the front nine and then uh i don't know the back nine i actually made a few pots which is nice and the next thing i know i actually was thinking about that it's funny enough i had i don't know like a three foot on the last one i was like i wasn't sure if i'd ever shot 29 before like even in practice but i was told i did it once that's so that was pretty cool yeah how how low could it have been i was legit i was legit worried i was like dude if you miss this putt for 29 this is gonna look real bad yeah oh yeah we would have trashed you 30 would have looked real bad

1:31:29Big Cat:what a bum like what did you have an actual chance of shooting that day if you had made everything like inside call it five feet uh every if i made everything inside probably eight feet probably 60 maybe yeah i don't know it was it was legit i felt like i was a video game that whole day everything was just online everything was good and then i got to the putting green and i have no

1:31:51PFT Commenter:clue hey does it ever pop in your head when you're playing maybe when you're sitting waiting uh you know to to get into one of these tournaments do you ever ever pop in your head that pft got an eagle and beat you in a hole straight up yeah yeah there's there actually was a moment funny enough um hank was brought up the other day because hank played with my caddy i don't know hank when was that like what february two months ago yeah yeah and i think at one point somehow ricky was like how did you let those guys beat you like it was that it's like you can't be serious like i mean he goes i've watched you play a lot but they beat you i'm like yeah yeah they smoked me too yeah hank also told us after that that your caddy was just like what the hell is up with this blake of the year shit like why do they keep saying this it is amazing to me to this day i think I would say once a week somebody I'm playing with is like hey can you explain this Blake of the Year thing I'm like hey you just gotta be good at really nothing and then just hang around be named Blake and that's about it yeah and by the way this year we have high hopes for you because the last few years you've been traveling like abroad and stuff this might be the first time you get to compete for Blake of the Year when you're actually in America in a good time zone it it could be when uh when are we doing it that's the question It's always the British Open.

1:33:19That's what it is. It's always the British Open week, and I'm always away. And I'm like, ugh.

1:33:25Big Cat:We try to do it early in the day, but then we got some other Blakes that might be on West Coast time. So it's really – you're at a disadvantage when you compete in the Open Championship. Maybe we can do it like a week early. We can record it early. Yeah. Yeah, we got to give you a fair shot. It seems to be the theme for this year. I'm just at a disadvantage. Yeah. Yeah. But you've been playing good. You feel good because historically the PGA Championship, that's Brooksy time. Yeah. No, it is. It feels good to be at a PGA Championship. I like it. Playing good, honestly. Just got a new putter this week.

1:33:57So we're trying one out, a new tailor-made, which would be pretty good. And then hopefully. Did you break your old putter or did the putter break? Yeah, the putter just broke. You wouldn't break the putter. Yeah, I would never do that. It just kind of – there was a curve that got in the way. I kind of tripped up, and next thing you know, it was a little crooked. Tried to bend it back, and next thing you know, it's – yeah, it didn't look right.

1:34:26Big Cat:He was testing the putter. Yeah. And the putter failed. Yeah, the durability was phenomenal. Yeah.

1:34:31PFT Commenter:I saw a comment you made that I never even thought about. You were talking about, like, the technology and, like, the equipment trucks that are on the PGA Tour versus where you were. Like, is that, that's, was that shocking when you got back and you're like, oh shit, there's all this stuff that I haven't tested yet? Yeah. So they had, they had a truck on live, but it basically the guy, Ben, who was running it, he had a bunch of my old equipment or not my old equipment, but like backup sets or like a backup set, irons, some wedges, things like that. but i never had the opportunity to be like oh wow like there's a whole bunch of putters sitting here on the green and i'm not putting well i can try this or if there's a driver a new driver that comes out and i can test that and see where that's at so yeah it's a bit weird and come back you're kind of overwhelmed because you go down the line and i think there's probably if i had to guess probably like this week 10 to 12 trucks um so you can yeah so imagine you know they each of them probably have three or four drivers so if you know if you want to try to test something it's it's available and um yeah it just helps always being a little fresher yeah because you were

1:35:40Big Cat:going to switch up your irons too and i remember you said that you when you practice is it on the range you only hit the even numbers or the odd numbers the odd i'm more of an odds guy so when you're when you're thinking about switching up all of your irons are you also at least trying out the evens yeah i i think i only hit the evens when i'm on the course i don't think i've ever really hit them in a practice setting it's funny because i was looking at my irons the other day and the nine iron seven nine iron and seven iron are getting to the point where i'm like i gotta get a new set because they're they're quite warm and the eight looks like just brand new yeah the looks fresh that's awesome that's awesome do you think about that when you're on the course like Because for those of us that stink at golf, it's like we get obsessed with the certain clubs that we like and we'll find any reason to hit a 7-iron because it's like, oh, I feel comfortable with a 7-iron.

1:36:34Big Cat:When you're on the course, are you like, I'd rather hit the 6 because I practice with that more? No, no. Never gets to that point. Hopefully. Hopefully it's not like that. But you can kind of tell because I remember at one point, it's usually right around U.S. Open. I think I changed my irons. So we're coming up like on that time anyways in a month. But like it'll get worn out where Ricky's like, it doesn't really matter. You can hit 9-iron or 8-iron. It's going to go the same distance because there's no grooves on it. It won't spin. I was asking Ricky about that, and he said the U.S. Open at Shinnecock on 17, like a par 3, he was like, just hit the 9-iron because it's basically an 8-iron.

1:37:13Big Cat:That's crazy. And that's what you did, like center of the green, sealed the victory. Yeah, because I think when we go to Europe for the British Open, that's like a fresh shot at clubs. So it's always right after U.S. Open, right before. It kind of depends just how much I'm practicing.

1:37:30PFT Commenter:Yeah. But, yeah, it's coming up on the time. How does a new putter feel? Because I feel like everything I've read from this course this weekend, it's like it's going to just be all putting. Rory even said everyone can just bomb it and you don't have to think much off the tee box. but then where you land it and then putts is going to be the tournament. So does the putter feel good? Is the new putter like you're like, oh, this is something that I can work with? It feels good right now. After Thursday or Sunday's round, I'll let you know. If I'm holding the trophy, it went pretty well. Yeah, I'd say so.

1:38:07That's the way I look at it.

1:38:08PFT Commenter:Well, you'll have to be on the show, so you'll tell us on the show on Sunday night when you're holding the trophy. How are you feeling overall, though, about this tournament? because we had Shane Bacon on as well. He had you as one of the guys that could win this tournament. The course, do you feel comfortable with the course? Have you played it a few times? Are you feeling good about it? Yeah, we played it back in 2018. But I think – you probably have to look this up, but I think it was the last time the PGA was in August. So it was like two weeks after we won in 18. So it was kind of a, I don't want, yeah, it was, yeah, yeah.

1:38:45It was a bit of a hangover. Yeah. So it was a bit of a blur. Like there was sometimes I stepped up in tee boxes and I was like, I can't remember this hole at all. And then other times I was like, oh, I, I, I'm very familiar with this hole. It was the back nine, a couple of holes. I just had no clue. I don't even remember them, but it's, it's a good golf course. Honestly, if you hit the ball long, like you said, Roy said, if you hit it long, you're going to have a good chance. It's a lot of wedges, and it's just a putting competition.

1:39:14Big Cat:Yeah. Is Philly a good golf town? It's a good sports town, honestly. Is it? Is it, though? Is it? Because it's not a basketball town. Are you sure, Brooks? This is leading questions. Leading questions. He already said it's a good sports town. Objection. That's a good objection, Matt. It's more of a baseball town right now, I think. Is it? Maybe football. Football. I'll give it football. Baseball team's hot. Baseball team's hot.

1:39:38PFT Commenter:Okay. Yeah. But, yeah. You know what was disappointing? I was kind of hoping. I was like, man, maybe we'll go in and go watch a hockey game or a 76ers game, and then both of them got swept. So that's not really. Yeah, bad. Double sweep.

1:39:53Big Cat:Bad. Double sweep. I don't know if you saw the clip that came out. I think it was the Netflix series, but it was right after the players, and it was Akshay, and I forget who he was talking to, but they were amazed by the fact that you don't carry a yardage book ever. is that is that really that strange that you don't even think about yardages i think i'm probably the only i to my knowledge the only tour player that doesn't i i think it was back in 2016 or 17 i just found myself i look at i'd look up from like 150 yards and look down in the book and i'm like this pin looks like it's in the bunker you can't miss it short you can't miss it right and then you look up and you're like wow that pin's not really that tucked and it just like gave me all these thoughts i'm like uh who cares just make it more reactive like i think of it as like anybody else you just ball a piece of paper up and you just throw it in the trash can you look like kobe and then all of a sudden you know you start thinking about it and it's just brick city so by not not knowing the yardage whatsoever you just say like hey like whatever club you want to give me just give me the club let me just hit the ball yeah a lot of times I mean, I even have the club out before Ricky even tells me the yardage.

1:41:08Like, you can kind of just eyeball it and have a good idea within, like, 10, 15 yards of what it is or just looks like it's maybe a 9-iron, 8-iron, whatever it is. And then Rick, yeah, it's up to Rick. So if he doesn't give the right number, you're in a lot of trouble because I'm not backing him up.

1:41:23PFT Commenter:Yeah. Right. Yeah. What were you going to say, Hank? No, nothing. So how often in a round are you and Rick, like, disagreeing? Or is it very, very, like, not very often that you guys actually sit there and be like, all right, I want to shoot this. You want me to shoot this. Like, I'm going my way. You're going your way. Whatever kind of thing. It kind of, it doesn't happen very often. There might be twice a tournament, maybe once a tournament where it's like, hey, I think it's a hard seven. He's like, I think it's a six. We go back and forth. And it just kind of depends if, usually he'll give his, you know, you give like a 10 second reasoning why.

1:42:00it's like hey listen there's 10 long at the pin it should be fine or i give my reasoning of why and then you just kind of talk it out and figure it out from there and usually there's a good miss

1:42:08PFT Commenter:so you're just trying to miss on that side yeah you guys got to keep if i were a professional golfer i would definitely keep track of like all right i'm gonna let you go this time but i'm keeping tally of like whether you're right or wrong oh yeah it's one of those things where it's kind of funny like i hear rick joke about it all the caddies laugh about it it's like it doesn't matter if the player screws it up it's like oh wow i felt good about it then the second the caddy screws it up it's like i did everything i needed to do that was on you yeah um i want to play a game with you it's called i put your name into google and did news what do you think the top result is oh um kind of a scary topic

1:42:55i don't know i'm kind of afraid i don't know i haven't done that all right so this is this is

1:42:59PFT Commenter:another humbling thing for you the top this the the top result for brooks kepka and you click the news tab is kepka's wife jenna sims flaunts insane award-winning bikini bod in new si swim that's pretty cool yes it is it is pretty good i actually saw the photos came out today so yeah i I guess they came out at 8 a.m. So I was getting ready to leave for the course, and I stopped, and she was showing me all the photos. It was pretty good. She looks great. How do you get an award-winning? Who gave the award? Me. Oh, fuck yeah. Can we give one, too? Blue Ribbon. Can we say PMT gives an award? Yeah.

1:43:36Yeah, honestly. Like I said, Jerry would have given her an award if she would have showed up for the...

1:43:41Big Cat:That's not the body. That's just the toes.

1:43:44PFT Commenter:Just the toes. Yeah. But that's good. Like, you know, you're about to play the BGA Championship, but that's the first thing. That's actually a good thing. Like, you could say whatever you want, and it'll be SI Swim will lead the story. Yeah, no, it's great.

1:43:57Big Cat:But, I mean, at one point you had an award-winning body as well when you were in the bodies issue. Yeah. Like, you were actually fully nude. Yeah. Yeah, that was a long time ago. Yeah. That was a long time ago. Those are some strange pictures. Looking back on that, are you like, I'm really glad I did that so I can be like, look how jacked I was when I was younger? I'm glad I did it I wish it would have been a little warmer out when we did it but yeah I'll leave it up to Jenna to do all that stuff now

1:44:31PFT Commenter:Zach do you got a question since you last been on I don't think you've ever met Zach Zach's a Florida boy I've seen Zach through all the videos but I don't know if we've actually officially met but Zach what's going on we got the glasses back

1:44:47Big Cat:I've got an alternate pair today, Brooks, but it's nice to virtually meet you.

1:44:51PFT Commenter:Yeah, the stripper still has his other glasses. Swallowed.

1:44:55Big Cat:They're gone, boys. Brooks, I was curious, being that you did go to Florida State and you are from Florida, during your time in Tallahassee, were you more of a palace saloon guy or a coliseum guy? A palace guy. That's good to know. You're a good man. Oh, that's a good question. I think we used to tailgate the palace. yeah great parking lots and pool tables there were football games I think we used to go like early in the morning and just set up we'd put a truck and a keg in the back and we'd go to practice and then just our coach would leave and then we'd make sure he just didn't go the direction where he could see us and we'd hightail it out of there and go go straight to Palace we locked in a few hours there I love that for you

1:45:37PFT Commenter:you got any gas station questions for him?

1:45:39Big Cat:I was kind of curious if you're not in competition mode and you were hitting the course like maybe with your boys on a day out of the course trying to you know get some shots in if when you're hitting that turn at nine going to the back nine is there like a is there a one one of like eats that are available like if you you see a snack cart and it's like oh i really hope they have this today was there like is there a number one choice for you on that

1:46:03uh yeah the bar whatever they have behind there yeah tequila Uh, anything. Liquid lunch. Yeah, whatever. Yeah, I would say it's more of a liquid turn if we're going to do that.

1:46:14PFT Commenter:Yeah, you got to stay light on your feet. You can't get bogged down, Zach.

1:46:16Big Cat:It's a good day with the boys. You're right. That's why you're the professional. Is there a place in or around Tallahassee that hypothetically, if we were stopping through, that we should make sure to stop by? Ooh. Oh, what's the name of the bar? I remember it used to be, they used to play like 80s music on Thursdays. It's pretty good. I'm drawing a blank in the name. I actually took Ricky to that bar a couple years ago. We went to a football game. I was like, dude, we got to go to the old stomping grounds. We went to a few of them. I think AJ's is no longer there.

1:46:49PFT Commenter:We're going to stop at Tallahassee, I think, because I'm after one of the most elusive banners possible that I'm still trying to track down. So hopefully we can find it and push it. It depends. When are you guys going? We're going next week. Do you remember after COVID, the Florida State basketball team raised a banner that was like number four ranked team when COVID hit? And they put that banner up. And then they've taken it down. I'm trying to buy it off of them. Oh, really? Yeah, for an NIL donation because it would be so funny if we had that banner in the Barstool office.

1:47:25Big Cat:Do you know anybody at FSU that could help out with that? Yeah. Yeah, I'm sure I could ask around. Okay. Because we would love to get that banner.

1:47:35PFT Commenter:I mean, I cold texted the AD of Florida State. Did you really? He has not responded. I even sent him a picture of the banner. I was like, this is the one I'm looking for. That's amazing. Yeah. Yeah, I'll reach out to somebody and see if I can find out where that banner is. Yeah, don't spend too much. You have a major championship to play this week. So I don't want you to spend too much time on this. Yeah, but Monday. Yeah. Yeah.

1:48:03Big Cat:And everyone, I've heard people say, like, you just don't need to think on this course. Like, if you just turn your brain off, that's where you're at your best. So we're just trying to distract you so you don't think too hard about things. Yeah. Yeah. I'm pretty good at turning my brain off.

1:48:16PFT Commenter:Think about the banner. Yeah. Yeah. Think about the banner. Yes. I like the banner. Yeah. We've got to find that banner. I had no clue that that even happened. Yeah. By the way. It's an outrageous banner. I mean, I get it. They wanted, you know, everyone's season got cut short. It sucks, all that stuff. But it is still such a funny banner to have. It said, yeah, NCAA canceled number four final ranking 2020. Got to find it.

1:48:42Big Cat:So it means it would have been a one seed.

1:48:44PFT Commenter:Yeah, would have been a one seed.

1:48:45Big Cat:And people forget that year, Duke would not have made the tournament.

1:48:48PFT Commenter:Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah, that's true. And if they had played in a bubble, I would have, whoever won in the bubble, I would have said is the champion.

1:48:55Big Cat:I mean, can you imagine, like, having a focus in the middle of a pandemic and all the commitment. That would probably be the hardest NCAA tournament to win. Agreed.

1:49:02PFT Commenter:Guess we'll never know. Yeah, we'll never know. Yeah, we'll never know. We just know we were number four. Yeah, number four. Brooks, I got one last question for you because I know you got it. Wait, before I ask the last question, what's on the champions dinner? All the champions go. Is it a pretty cool event? Because you're about to go to that. Yeah, I'm about to go. What time is it now? Yeah, 4.20. you gotta go ironic yeah totally lost train of thought there what were we talking about

1:49:36Big Cat:hell yeah Brooks speaking of food if we get hungry later yeah I don't know what Scotty's serving tonight I have no clue I'm assuming it's probably steak and potatoes usually something along those lines just Texas he wants a good steak That's my assumption.

1:49:56PFT Commenter:Yeah. Do you guys like hang out at that dinner? Is it like you're about to compete against each other? Is it like a good time and everyone's kind of trading stories and stuff? Yeah, a lot of times it's just fun. Guys telling, guys that have won it 20 years ago, they were telling stories about these pairings. A lot of times the guys that have won it recently, we didn't get to play with. I've sat next to John Daly a few times, which was awesome. yeah jd jd is a legend um some of the stories that come out of his his mouth are fantastic i don't know if i'd want to repeat them here but they're uh they're quite entertaining um and then you get uh you get some good meals it's fun the the story usually there's like a gift some guys give too as well each year and some of the gifts are pretty cool um as well i think like uh it's funny we were actually just using cullinmore cow we gave a couple years ago the uh i guess he was big into cooking and spices and all this stuff and he gave it um that's the whole outdoor grill set everything it was it was actually pretty cool we were using it the other day okay that's nice

1:51:00Big Cat:just remember with this trophy if you're lucky enough to to win it again i don't you know it falls apart it's very very delicate trophy you have to pick it up with like a different technique yeah we'll go we'll try to keep the lid on it yeah yeah we'll keep the lid on it for the pictures and then the lid's coming off. And then the lid's coming off. And then we're drinking out of it. What are we drinking out of the trophy if you win? Whatever they're serving in Tallahassee. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, we'll be there. See? Yeah. You want to meet us in Tallahassee with the trophy? Depends on what days. I've got to play next week, but if we can find a date.

1:51:35Are you guys going?

1:51:36PFT Commenter:Yeah, Monday we'll be there. Ooh, see? That could be a pit stop on the way home. There we go. By the way, chicken parm and gelato tonight. That's what you're eating. Is that what it is? Yeah, letting you know. I was way off then. Yeah. All right. Roback question. R-H-O-B-A-C-K dot com. Promo code take 20 % off your first purchase. Q-Zips, polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts, roback.com. Promo code take. Brooks, always great having you on. We love having you on and you're the best. Hopefully we'll see you Sunday night on this show. Zach, I'm going to give you the last question. Are you ready?

1:52:08Big Cat:Yes, sir. Brooks, I was curious. If you could implement one rule change for only one major tournament one time, you have anything in mind?

1:52:20One rule, one time.

1:52:21PFT Commenter:Yeah.

1:52:25Oh. No caddies. That would be an interesting one. Yeah. That would be very interesting because...

1:52:34Big Cat:You think there's some caddy merchants out there? You'd be screwed without a yardage book. I'd be, by the way, I'd be sitting there doing math for about 10 minutes. I'd play as slow as some other players that have typically played slow. But yeah, it would be interesting to see how guys play without caddies one time. I think that would be very interesting because it's like, I don't know. Sometimes I rely. He knows better how far I hit the ball or what the wind's doing better than I do. Yeah. How much lower do you think the scores would be if you guys were allowed to use rangefinders?

1:53:10It would speed up play. because if you think about it like a lot of times when you hit it so far offline i know some some people don't apply but i definitely am in this category you hit it really far offline there's no sprinkler heads and trying to figure out how far you are is a nightmare and the caddies gotta walk like 80 yards sometimes just to figure it out but rangefinders would speed it up for sure yeah i don't understand it's like if you think about it like even when you guys go play or we go play we're using rangefinders and it's just zap it you hit the pin you go it's like 135 boom just hit it yeah yeah and sometimes you can lead the slope on accidentally yeah and then that makes it way easier yeah it'd be very interesting i'd be curious i i think wait can we use them this week i don't know that's a good question for you you should probably know wait yeah well yeah rick rick rick better know i for some reason i think during the pga i thought we might be allowed to you i don't know that's awesome are they experimented with him a couple years ago or is there something there there's something to that

1:54:17PFT Commenter:i think okay i think they should do it look that up yeah no don't look it up fuck it this is rick's business this is what you pay rick 10 for be surprised uh all right brooks you're the best man thank you so much i know you got a tight schedule this week but uh hopefully we see you sunday night yeah hopefully that'd be great and monday and monday uh ai is telling me right now

1:54:38Big Cat:Now that they are allowed at the PGA Championship, but you should probably also double-check that.

1:54:42PFT Commenter:Yeah, double-check that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. I'll double-check that one. All right. Thanks, Brooks. You're the best, man. Yeah.

1:54:52Big Cat:Brooks is brought to you by Jose Cuervo. When Cuervo enters, every moment just gets better. You find yourself in the center of the dance floor. You can't help but stand up and high-five those around you at the game. The room reacts like it just got the same text at the same time, and you stop checking the time. Suddenly small talk escalates to laughing so hard that you can barely catch your breath. That's the Cuervo effect. A signal everybody understands, a moment that anyone can join, and a good time that just grows. All you have to do is keep it Cuervo. Brooks was also brought to you by our great friends over at Morgan & Morgan.

1:55:25Big Cat:Morgan & Morgan, America's number one entry law firm. They know all about power moves. And now, here's Shane Bacon.

1:56:33PFT Commenter:Okay, we now welcome on a very, very, very, very special guest. It is our good friend Shane Bacon, and we're getting ready for the second major, the PGA Championship. Shane will be on site. He also will be doing post-round show for CBS called Scorecard. You can watch that on Paramount+. You can watch it on CBS HQ. You can watch it on their YouTube page. It's going to be awesome. Shane, we want to talk all PGA Championship, but before we do that... Dude, you're playing in the longest day. You're playing to maybe play in the U.S. Open. Can you explain to us everything? Because we kind of understand it.

1:57:14PFT Commenter:Start from the beginning. How have you gotten to this point? How many qualifiers did you get into? And then what is the longest day? Just do it all. I want to brain dump it. Yeah, so for the U.S. Open, obviously, the whole open part of the name, in theory, anybody could get in. I think you have to have basically a zero handicap or better to apply to get into a qualifier. They call them local qualifiers. They have them everywhere. So they've got them in Chicago. And I think they might have one in Alaska. I mean, they've got them all over the place, typically, depending on how competitive the area is.

1:57:48So Northeast, a little bit more competitive. Arizona, Florida, places like that are going to be competitive. there'll be four or five spots out of about 100 guys to basically progress through the qualifying stages so you go local if you get through that then you get into the final qualifying day which is golf's longest day and then um that cuts down to about 12 13 sites around the country you apply and rank which ones you want to play in and then hopefully get into the one you want to get into and uh yeah on june 8th uh we'll rock and roll it's 36 holes uh that day i did it in 2019 but it wasn't golf's longest day.

1:58:22It was, I had to play with all the pros because I was working for Fox and we were doing all the USGA stuff. So this will be the first time I'm actually doing it on golf's longest day. But yeah, I played well. It was blowing like 30 miles an hour in Connecticut. Kind of got in the house at 200 par and that was the number I needed.

1:58:38PFT Commenter:So how many people, this is awesome. So how many people on golf's longest day then get to qualify for the US Open? Like what are your chances looking like? I mean, not great if we're being honest, but I mean, you know, I think dependent on the site. So they'll do, you know, like last year, Max played in one in Ohio, okay? That one has like 15 spots because that's where all the pros go after the Memorial. My spot in the Northeast that I'm likely going to play in will probably have four spots out of, I don't know, maybe 100 guys in the field. So, I mean, you have to play well. You probably have to shoot, you know, three under-ish each round.

1:59:14So probably got to touch six under or so, obviously depending on condition. But yeah, I'm fired up. I like when I did it in 2019, I was working. I had to fly basically on like a late night flight to get into Dallas. Had never seen the golf courses before. I wouldn't exactly say I was preparing the right way. I'm going to go after PGA week and play practice rounds of the courses up here that are hosting. And so in theory, hopefully I'm a little bit more prepared. But, you know, getting through local is kind of the goal. And then if you get into sectional and you, you know, put yourself in a position after 18 holes, you know, you never know.

1:59:46Big Cat:Yeah, so it's 36 holes in a day, which sounds crazy. What is that like? And you have to walk the entire time. So by the end, is it actually like an exhausting day of golf? Yeah, I remember I had my best buddy in the world caddy for me in Dallas. He's not a big golfer, just a good dude. I'd prefer good dude over kind of good caddy. I'd rather have the hang. We got done, and we went to the only place you go after a 36-hole day of walk. We went to Chili's and had a big meal. That was a moment, too. And I'll send you guys the photo after we get off air. But a guy across from me at the bar, I'd never seen this before, at a Chili's was having a glass of red wine and corn on the cob a la carte.

2:00:28That's high class. Yeah. You know, I mean, you could experience certain indulgences, I think, around major, obviously, restauranteur places. But that was pretty impressive to see. But went to Chili's, I mean, exhausted. I mean, it's a long day. you're walking a lot uh depending on weather obviously it's hot it plays into it as well um that was one of the cool things last year i mentioned max i mean he he did it he carried his own bag for both rounds which is pretty crazy so i got a guy that caddy for me when i got through u.s amateur qualifying out here and uh he hit me up on instagram to caddy for me he was awesome kind of an aggressive caddy in terms of the way he wanted to play and so i hit him up when i got through and said you have any interest in doing this and so i think he's going to be on the bag again for me in a few weeks.

2:01:11I love that.

2:01:11PFT Commenter:The whole thing is so awesome, the fact that you're going through this whole process. I mean, rooting for you. It sounds like you're saying you've got to go, you know, you've got to touch six under over the course of the 36 holes, but you shot two under in the qualifier. Do you have it in you? Do you think that... I feel like I'm asking Max when we first had him on. I was like, can you win the Masters? Can you do this? He almost did. Yeah. I mean, I think I'm playing... I, first of all, I think golf is one of those things. I don't know about, I mean, obviously I know Hank is always switching between how he's going to play, but a big cat, you have kids and you kind of get a little older in life and all of the shit you cared about in your life becomes a little less important.

2:01:52I think that's been good for my golf game is I don't like live and die. I mean, I obviously I'm not playing for anything. I mean, I have like jobs that actually, you know, provide for my family. So me playing competitive golf is the fun part of my life. I think it used to make me nervous. Yeah. So, yeah, I mean, I think I'm capable of going out there and doing it. I think I'm playing solid enough golf right now to go into it. And I'm actually, I had a long conversation with my wife after I got through, you know, last week or whatever. And I said, I'm going to play a lot of golf over the next few weeks.

2:02:21I hope you're okay with that. And she was pretty supportive of it and said, yeah, absolutely. Practice, you know, get yourself ready. So, you know, come that Monday, I actually feel like I'm at least feel like I walk into it prepared more than I did a few years ago.

2:02:33PFT Commenter:Have you had the conversation with your bosses yet being like, hey, the U.S. Open, like I might be playing in it? Well, you know, what's funny is I'm doing an event. I'm doing a Corn Fairy Tour event that weekend before golf's longest day. And so I had to call my boss when I got through and they're big. You know, they're all big golf guys. They understand the whole deal. But I call them like, can you find somebody to cover for me on Sunday? They're like, we got you. We'll find somebody. So, yeah, I mean, honestly, I think the doors in theory open more if this was the case. I think if I got into a U.S.

2:03:04Open, the opportunity to maybe kind of split time between broadcasting, playing, things like that. I know Amelia Duran, who does a great job in terms of golf broadcasting, did this a couple years ago, I believe, at a U.S. women's amateur. She was making a run. She'd play in the morning and broadcast in the afternoon. But, I mean, again, I just like the fact that it exists, the fact that this opportunity exists, it's very unique to golf. You know, I mean, we're not going – I mean, you kick a 40-yard field goal, it's not like you're walking onto a team, right? Yeah, you never know. But the fact that this is an option is pretty cool.

2:03:32It is very cool.

2:03:33PFT Commenter:It's the U.S. Open. I like that they still have this where anyone could theoretically qualify. Hank is going to qualify someday. I'm going to manifest that right now. I'm going to put it on a dream board.

2:03:44Big Cat:How closely do they have to look at your handicap? If Hank showed up and he was like, yeah, I'm a zero handicap, and then he just happened to shoot the best golf they've ever played, and he qualifies, is somebody going to go back and be like, hey, your handicap was actually you were lying about that? Well, I think you have to put your gin or gin, whatever we call it, number in. And so I think you have to fudge the scores on the front end. So you've got to do a little prep. But, I mean, there's guys at every qualifier. You know, the Ryan French buddy of mine, the Monday Q guy that does a great job, he'll post those, you know, the guys that shoot 115 and 118 and stuff in these qualifiers.

2:04:18I mean, there are a lot of dreamers in golf across the board. There's a lot of guys that are 45 that, you know, shoot 200 or 300 at their club and think they're going to make it on the Champions Tour. I think that's why golf is so special is the fact that we have that run of nine holes where you're like, man, you know what? I might actually be pretty good at this game. It obviously bleeds into, you know, trying to, I think I could get into a U.S. Open.

2:04:39Big Cat:Yeah, it humbles you real quick. So when you're doing the longest day, you've got 36 holes. Is there a break? How does that work? Is there a break after 18, like a morning round, then an afternoon round? Yeah, I mean, you, depending on the site, it might be two different golf courses. So you're basically driving between them. I think I went to a Subway in 2019. I haven't been to a subway in a minute, but I think I went to a subway and got a sandwich on the way and, you know, arrive, hit two or three balls and go. I mean, it's pretty quick in terms of the turnaround. But, yeah, I mean, you're snacking, eating throughout the day.

2:05:08And, you know, you feel like one of those cyclists that's using the gel and all that stuff.

2:05:12Big Cat:Yeah. Speaking for myself, if I was lucky enough to ever be that good at golf and get to the longest day, if I was shooting like 10 over par in the first round, I just wouldn't play the second 18. I'd be like, that? No, absolutely not. Listen, there's a lot of dudes. PFT, there's a lot of guys, especially the pros, you know, that are big names that are trying to get in the U.S. Open. If the first 18 doesn't go their way, they are not continuing their afternoon. Yeah. I mean, first, like, four holes if those don't go my way. Yeah. I'm out at that point. And then our good friend Danny Woodhead is the first alternate from his area, too.

2:05:44Big Cat:So he might get in. I'm excited to see you guys. I hope that you can do it. It would be very, very fun to have you in the U.S. Open. Yeah. Yeah. Big Cat, is there anything crazier than the fact that these pro athletes get into golf and can be this competitive like Steph Curry and Woodhead and these guys?

2:06:02PFT Commenter:It's bullshit that they're so good, but then you remember that they're professional athletes. Like LeBron, I actually had this bet with someone. I can't remember. Who was I talking with? I can't remember who I was talking with, but I said that I would put money on LeBron if you say the year after he retired or when he retires, give him a full calendar year. If he's into his golf as much as we think he might be, I think he'll be a five handicap within a year. Like that's just what a pro athlete does. They have the, I know he's a little too tall, but still, I just, you watch them swing and you're like, yeah, that's just different.

2:06:40PFT Commenter:They move different than the regular human being. I golf with Frank Kaminsky. Yeah, the hand-eye coordination is pretty good. Yeah, I golfed with Frank Kaminsky last week, and he's close to seven feet, and it still doesn't matter. He's just like, yeah, I've been throwing myself into it now that I'm kind of done. And he's just – you can see he will just get leaps and bounds better every single month because they just have that ability. I've noticed that it's the dudes that were pro athletes that have to use that hip rotation that become the best golfers. Like hockey, pitchers are great, quarterbacks, kickers.

2:07:13those guys that had to use those muscles throughout their lives typically kind of lean right into it in terms of golf

2:07:20PFT Commenter:yeah but it is kind of bullshit alright let's talk PGA Championship can you tell us give us the like the big view of this course because I'm not familiar with it what should we expect what's like kind of the thing that we should look to you know different courses have different quirks and everything it's a question we ask before most majors which is what's this course's deal yeah what's what's up with it yeah what's this course do i think this class this course is uh is like the classy 60 year old woman that maybe had gotten a late divorce and is still going to the gym you know it still looks great um still might be dating around uh this is a golf course it's been around for a long time obviously it's in philly by the way is max available or no he's available yeah he's here yeah hey max i listened to the monday episode i don't understand why you didn't immediately divert all your attention into the pga championship because it's your pga yeah it is my pga philly's a golf town yeah

2:08:22Big Cat:yeah iranemic 10 minutes from my uh my my home growing up so there you go i took my prom pictures there i've been telling everyone that i took my prom pictures before adironomic right on whatever hole the clubhouse is on. This is huge. 18? Probably 18, yeah, if I had to guess. It would be weird if it was like 11 right by the clubhouse. It's a Donald Ross course. Crazy green complexes, big green complexes. There's been a lot of changes done to the golf course over the years. It's tight. It's not overly long. You know, the PGA Championship typically is the longest of the majors. This is not going to be one of the longest you see.

2:09:01I don't think you have to bomb it off the tee to contend around here. But I do think it's a second shot golf course, a lot like what we talk about with Augusta National. And also just a lot of trouble, 174 bunkers around the golf course. And a lot of them are really deep and gnarly, especially the fairway bunkers. You don't want to hit into those. But basically, it's going to play into what we see at the Masters, what we see around the U.S. Open. A lot of the great iron players, I think, are going to have a chance to contend. And then obviously the lag putting. But you think about players that might fit the mold of this place.

2:09:30I mentioned bombers, obviously. If you hit it far and long, you're going to be at an advantage anywhere. But I think considering the size of the greens and how good of a putter Bryson is, I think the kind of up-and-down iron play from Bryson will be actually helped out around a Maronomic because you don't have to be totally precise to find the surfaces. Then you just have to two-putt.

2:09:50Big Cat:All right, what's the rough like here? Are we going to get any videos of people throwing golf balls into the grass, and then they're like, oh, my God. A little more U.S. Open-y PFT when you get into those videos. It's not nothing, but the PGA of America doesn't want it to be drop a ball and it disappear. I mean, it's going to be healthy. It's going to be hardy. I mean, obviously, if you hit into it, it could be penalizing, but you're not going to get like drop your cell phone and then you can't find it videos like you will in a few weeks at Shinnecock.

2:10:16PFT Commenter:Are we worried at all that Philadelphia has been disparaged as a sports town this past weekend? and now it's kind of like a chip on your shoulder, prove it situation where they got to show up and they got to say some real nasty shit to Rory and real nasty shit to any of the European guys. Yeah, I think there'll be just a lot of New Yorkers there. That seems to be what happens at Philly sporting events. It's just the New Yorkers show up and they kind of take over. So that's probably what's going to happen at Eronomic. I mean, and that's kind of what I think will be the progression of what we've seen over the last few weeks.

2:10:52PFT Commenter:I do like the idea of Philly being like, this is how we get our lick back. We just get crazy. Just yelling Matt Fitzpatrick.

2:10:59Big Cat:How much are tickets? Because Max was telling us that people from Philly don't have a lot of money to spend on sports tickets. I mean, I haven't looked. You guys have a deal with some company, don't you? Yeah, let's see where we're at on game time. PGA championship tickets. Can't be a lot. We could be looking at a heavy New York crowd. You're absolutely right. I'm going to say under$200 is what my guess would be on Thursday, Friday.

2:11:22PFT Commenter:I'm looking right now. Yeah, under$200 for the get-in price. Thursday,$165. Friday,$250.

2:11:32Big Cat:But to Max's other point, he said that people from New York have jobs. People from Philly don't. That would make it more likely for people from Philly to go on Thursday and Friday. Overflowing with golf fans out there. Yeah, that's the real reason. Now you're just lying to the people.

2:11:47PFT Commenter:All right, so let's talk about the golfers that are playing the best right now. Cam Young has been awesome. Yeah. I mean, Scotty's the favorite. Is that fair that Scotty should still be the favorite even though he hasn't – it's unfair for Scotty because the bar that he set for himself last year was so impossibly high, so he hasn't been winning every tournament this year, but he still – is there maybe something with Scotty's game you're like, oh, he's got to fix this or something's a little off, or if he plays his best, no one's got a chance? Yeah, it hasn't been as tight is what I'd say with Scotty Scheffler.

2:12:19It hasn't been bad, obviously, but it hasn't been as tight. I mean, he's been leading the PGA Tour the last three years in terms of iron play. That's been a little loose this year. There's been times where he's gotten wayward with the driver. Even the putter has gotten a bit cold a couple of weeks ago, missed a lot of short putts inside of five feet. That's kind of the bad for Scotty. I'd say the good is, you know, despite not winning a lot after that first event of the year, he's finished second in the last three events. And the people he's lost to are the three best golfers in the world, not named Scotty Scheffler.

2:12:45Rory, Cam Young, and Matt Fitzpatrick. So you're not getting beat by the 75th ranked golfer in the world. You're getting beat by guys that are having these incredible years. The other thing I think that plays into Scottie's hands is he didn't play this past week. He took the week off, and he's been at Aronomic basically since Saturday, playing practice rounds and preparing. Again, going back to what the golf course asks, you've got to be great with the irons, and it really helps if you're an incredible pitcher when you miss the greens, and those are his best skill sets. So I think there's a better chance Scottie wins by 10 that he doesn't finish in the top 10.

2:13:16I think this is a great opportunity for Scottie to kind of go back-to-back at the PGA.

2:13:20Big Cat:Okay, and what about some names that might be outside that list of the top five that you would look to have a chance at a course like this? So I got five best-case scenario wins on the week if you guys want them. Yes, absolutely. You always come so prepared. I love this. I mean, you know, this is a popular program, fellas. I listen to every show, you know. I love that. So Spieth is the number one obvious answer. If he wins here, he completes the career Grand Slam. He's only had one chance to really win a PGA Championship in his career. That was back in 2015. Lost to Jason Day at Whistling Straits.

2:13:52That was back when it was in the end of the season, not where it is now on the schedule. I don't really like him this week. I don't think he's going to win this PGA. I kind of like his chances next year. The PGA goes to that new course in Frisco, and I think that plays a little bit more into Jordan Spieth's skill set. But obviously, if Spieth gets attention, If Rory last year was, let's call it a 10 out of 10 on the emotional and everything scale winning the Masters, I think Spieth getting a PGA win is probably a 9. And that's about as high as you're going to get in terms of this field at this golf course.

2:14:23Number two is just the big time winners at this particular major continuing. I'll read you the winners basically since 2017. JT, Brooks, Brooks, Colin Morikawa, Phil when he was 50 years old. JT Brooks again Xander and Scotty so I mean these are like the heaviest of hitters in the world the PGA of America kind of sets the golf courses up for the best golfers in the world that can tend and play well so obviously no surprise that that's kind of been the run but pretty incredible I mean the fact that JT's won two and Brooks has won three and you had those sprinkled in all those guys are obviously big time players my number three is Brooks winning another one I just think getting to four is awesome I think he's going to be in contention here.

2:15:07I think it's a great Brooks Koepka golf course. He's leading the PGA Tour this season in iron play. I was surprised when I saw that statistically. Played great on Saturday in Myrtle Beach. I also got to say this about Brooks. He's become one of my favorite professional golfers because he kind of has that no bullshit mentality on the golf course, but I love the fact that he's just kind of down with whatever they ask of him in terms of what he needs to play in or the process he's got to go through. Like the fact that he went and played the European tour, you know, out of college and the challenge tour and went a bit of different path.

2:15:40The fact that he's opened up about the vulnerability of being a pro golfer like Brooks is a little bit deeper, I think, than people think he is when they see the mock turtle and the biceps. And I think Brooks is positioning himself to get really a chance to win either this PGA or win a Shinnecock. So he's there. Bryson's on the list. I mean, Bryson get a PGA would be would be great. Also, like on a run right now at the PGA that's been incredible, finished T4 in 23, second in 24 and second last year. So been close, probably needs to get it done at some point considering where he's at in his run.

2:16:15And then the last one is the old guys. We've seen them bucking as of late. Branson Snedeker just won at 45. Justin Rose has won at Aronimic in the past and has played great this year. Adam Scott, one of the best iron players this year on the PGA Tour. So those are kind of my best case scenarios is an old guy, Bryson Brooks, one of the big names in golf, or Jordan Speed.

2:16:34Big Cat:What about – you mentioned that distance isn't everything on this golf course. What about one guy who would be probably number one in the world if he had that top-tier distance, Block. Blocky's back in. Yeah, I think Blocky makes the cut. I really do. I think Blocky's going to make the cut this week. I don't know if he wins the PGA. I don't know what that's going to look like. But I think if he doesn't get off to a brutal start like he did a couple years ago, I think there's an opportunity to Blocky to shoot a couple over through two rounds to get to the weekend. Yeah, listen, with Blocky, I don't think I've ever seen a guy burn through a massive amount of goodwill as fast as he did the last time that he was in a national contract.

2:17:15Big Cat:I got no problem with Blocky. He pops up. He wants to play golf. It's a fun story. But yeah, sometimes he needs a guy that's next to him that's like, hey, maybe we just stop talking for a little bit because everybody loves you. so let's just kind of maybe take that to the bank what do you think percentage pft of athletes that need that guy are is it like 70 yeah it's probably maybe higher maybe higher yeah although i did like bryson's interview that he gave last week i i don't know if you had a chance to read the one where he's talking about like merging back to the pga and how how the teams from live golf are worth 200 million dollars so they've got that equity as leverage coming back do you have any idea because we've heard um you know there has been a blueprint of a plan dating back i think like two and a half years three years almost now you got the structure yeah the structure the plans in place the outlines there so what have you heard recently about the former live players that did not take the opportunity to come back in january when it was offered and now they're thinking about making the jump back to the pga how do you think that's going to look so i think that they i think the pga tour and roll app are smart enough to understand the power of superstar right i think that's something that golf has leaned heavily into over the last few years.

2:18:24We see it across every sport, right? I think that's one of the issues right now in terms of the NBA is the superstars are kind of emerging right now after the steps and LeBrons are kind of fading and they're still trying to figure out who's going to be the face of this league going forward. I think with golf, Bryson helps whatever Tories on John Rahm helps whatever Tories on. And then I think on down the list, you've got guys that I think in theory would be great to get back to the PGA tour. So I think some level of if you've won a major the last five years, if you've done X, Y and Z, there's an opportunity to come back.

2:18:56But I haven't heard anything about what that structure is looking like as of now. But I imagine if there's an opportunity or a way, if Liv does fold and go away to get Bryson and Rahm specifically back, probably Joaquin Neiman as well. I think Tyrell Hatton's another name you'd probably want back on the PGA Tour, considering how good he has played over the last couple of years. I think just setting some precedent to where those guys could, in theory, get back if they wanted to, I think is going to be some door that opens.

2:19:24PFT Commenter:What would you say to people like, I don't know, Henry Lockwood, who still think Liv has a chance and is just holding on and actually watching still? Can I ask Hank to name, is it the four aces? Is that what we go with? He's got it.

2:19:39Big Cat:You're talking about the Liv Virginia champions? Yeah. Oh, they won the championship? Yeah. Hit me with it, Hank. Go. Anthony Kim, Dustin Johnson, and then the twin Thomases. Everyone knows the twin Thomases. Thomas Peters, Thomas Dietrich. Guys, I kind of think – I've been thinking about this lately. I think Hank's my favorite podcaster. I agree. Wow. Same. Same. I think he's my favorite podcaster. He's our boss. Agreed. He kind of reminds me of when you regret a vacation that's upcoming and then you go have fun on the vacation. I imagine that's Hank every episode. I gotta do this again and then the hour and a half he enjoys himself he's like I'm really glad we did that that's perfectly put that's the best description of Hank's psyche that I think I've ever heard you have a psychologist that could sit down and listen to this show for years and never be able to distill Hank's brain into that I love Hank so much lefty is sticking together Hank you got a question for Shane?

2:20:42Big Cat:I mean I got a few Let's go. I mean, I didn't, yeah, I saw the video when you qualified for golf as long as I say, Lefty. Love that. Really, really made me appreciate you a lot more.

2:20:52PFT Commenter:Representation matters.

2:20:53Big Cat:Representation does matter. And obviously, you've been around the game for a long time. I have a few questions. I guess my first one, Matt Fitzpatrick, one of the best golfers on tour this year. Cross-handed chipping. As someone who is a formerly right-handed golfer switching to left-handed, that's something that interests me because obviously I can just, I have the right-handed grip. thoughts your thoughts yeah have you done it yet i've tried i mess around with it yeah yeah did you okay now let me ask you a question this is very golf nerdy stuff could you and you might not have an answer to this could you feel the bottom of the club easier when you made contact with the ball yes i find that is what the cross-handed chip does the best i find you return the club to the ball way more consistently than the other way around have you ever tried the chip like strong-handed one-handed before because it does the same It's kind of the same feel.

2:21:44But I like the idea of the cross-handed, if you're not a great chipper, to kind of get that repeatable contact on the back of the ball. You're not going to get cute with those chip shots. You're not hitting the flop and doing all sorts of stuff, manipulating the face. But if you're looking for a straightforward back-and-through chipping motion, I think cross-handed is the way to go.

2:22:03PFT Commenter:What's cross-handed? How do you do it? You just use a right-handed grip. So it's basically right-hand low.

2:22:09Big Cat:It's like if you were to chip it, you go left-hand on bottom. So you're saying if like when you're doing the chip with one hand, if that feels natural to you, then going cross-handed might be a good move? Yeah. Like if you chip, it's so funny. If you chip one-handed, I mean, you know, these are easy chips, right? PFT, these aren't 30-yard pitch shots. But it's wild how that other hand can sometimes get in the way. And so like if I'm struggling with my chipping at times, I'm a lefty. I'll go out and chip just left-handed, right? Just to get a feel for the bottom of the club. and you're just trying to kind of return the club to the back of the ball where it started.

2:22:43And then once you start to get that feel back, you can try to get a little bit more into manipulation with high and low and things like that.

2:22:49Big Cat:I've got a really dumb question for you. I've been working a lot on my game recently, and I'm feeling good going in this summer for the Internet Invitational. There's a few things I need some work on. One would be bunker play. I need to practice that. And then two, maybe the biggest problem that I have is just putting in general. Wide open-ended question, how do I read putts? because I feel like there's something wrong with my eyes. Hank knows. Usually when I guess which way it's about to break, it'll actually be the opposite. So something you can do I think that's helpful is find the lowest point on the green and then stand there.

2:23:25I'm assuming you stand behind your ball, right, when you're reading a putt? Yep. You get behind the ball and you look at it. Go find the lowest point on the green, stand there, and then get a feel for where everything's going to move. And I think that'll help you understand maybe where the breaks come from. And not always the easiest thing if they're flat greens, but if there's undulation involved in it, I mean, you're playing, I'm assuming a lot of golf in Chicago, a lot of movement on those green complexes. It's like find the low point and start from there.

2:23:51Big Cat:Okay. That makes sense. I always just say like it's going to break towards the water because that's what I've heard people say. Is that true? Yeah. I mean, it can. It can be true. Remember the mountains? It breaks away from the mountains. Yeah, it breaks away from the mountains. Because the mountains are high, and then so obviously it's like still that slope's on the green. By the way, that's a big pro golfer thing to do is they'll tell you, like, every golf course, oh, you know, it breaks to the creek. And you're just like, I don't know where the creek is. Right.

2:24:16PFT Commenter:When we golfed in Arizona, they told us before it breaks away from the mountains. And we were just like every single time like, yeah, yeah, we'll go this way. Away from the mountains. We'll be fine. Yeah.

2:24:28Big Cat:I have a PGA Championship live question. Oh. Hit me. first first part is what is it fair to say that because of the news broke I think the week after the masters is it fair to say that that was a distraction for the live players in the masters and part two if one is yes is it still a distraction for live players going into this year or into this week or has that kind of they've figured it out I think it was definitely a distraction uh masters week for those players I think there's a level of it being motivating now I think now it's been a few weeks. John Rahm and Bryson, I think, both played well in Virginia, well enough, I think, to just at least feel like your game is in the right place.

2:25:08I think there's got to be a level of motivation, specifically for those two guys, to come in here and play well. I think there's a lot of weight on the shoulders of John Rahm right now. Just not been playing very good golf at the majors over the last couple years. I think for John Rahm, getting in the mix, he played decent at the PGA last year, had a chance on the back nine before Scottie went crazy. but I think for Jon Rahm, getting here, showing up, playing a solid opening round, don't have to do anything crazy on Thursday, but don't shoot yourself out of the golf tournament to start. I think there'll be a lot of motivation within those two guys, maybe outside of everybody else, to just have a good major week.

2:25:42PFT Commenter:Okay. Good questions. All right, any long shots? I like J.J. Spahn. I mean, he's not super long, but I like J.J. Spahn. Obviously, he won the U.S. Open last year. He was putting terrible to start the year. He's been putting a lot better. Got a win in San Antonio before the Masters. Top 25 at Harbortown. Finished top 15 at Doral in T5 this past week. Playing a lot of golf is my only concern in terms of fatigue. But I like J.J.'s fun. I also really like Ricky Fowler. I think Ricky Fowler could potentially get a major win finally this week at Aronimic. Kind of a good golf course for him. Don't have to hit it 350 off the tee.

2:26:19Has been playing really solid golf. Irons look a lot better. And mainly the putter. I mean, Ricky was, you know, in his prime, was the best putter from inside of 10 feet in professional golf. He'd kind of gone away from that when he was struggling. Going back to this golf course, you're going to hit it in spots where you're just trying to two-putt. If Ricky continues to kind of roll in those 6, 7, 8-foot par putts, I think Ricky has a real chance to get himself a contention, you know, come, let's call it, late Saturday into Sunday.

2:26:44Big Cat:Then our good friend Max Oma, after finishing, what, ninth at the Masters? Hasn't really done a whole lot since then. Is he okay? Is Max all right? Yeah, yeah, he'll be fine. He'll be fine. I think, again, I mean, I think Max, you know, is a great iron player at his core. And, again, talking about this golf course being a second-shot golf course, I think when you pick out the best iron players in the world even now, you know, Max is still going to be in your top 20. So, yeah, I think Max is a dog. He's going to show up at this level of golf course. And, you know, I think a good top 20 bet in terms of what he could do.

2:27:17I think I'd put something on there. I'm sure you get plus money for something like that.

2:27:20PFT Commenter:Yeah. All right. What about Spieth? career grand slam. Yeah, he talks about it. I don't love this place for Spieth, honestly. I like Spieth. These golf courses aren't great for him. He's been playing okay golf this year, but he hasn't put four rounds together. He'll have one week where the irons are great and he putts terrible, and the next week he putts great and the irons are terrible. We just haven't seen that level of consistency for four days with Jordan to put me in a place where I'm thinking he's going to get himself in contention. I'd love to see it, but I don't really believe in him here.

2:27:53Big Cat:What is it about Spieth that he seems like the camera always cuts to him and he's like in the middle of a bush in a part of the golf course that has never been seen before? And then he makes a par somehow. What is it about his style of play? Because it's wildly entertaining. Yeah, I mean, he's kind of like Phil. I mean, you think about Phil throughout his career, and Phil was like famous for, you know, missing a lot of fairways, missing huge, finding a way to save par, pulling off the incredible shot. I mean, I think that's why we love Jordan is because, you know, You can find a player that hits it straight and finds a lot of fairways and has routine rounds of 71-70, or you can be on the drug roller coaster that is Jordan Spieth.

2:28:31I mean, Big Cat, you feel like you're at the sphere. You're like, I don't know what I'm watching here, but I'm not leaving. I can promise you that. And that's Spieth. I think it was him in his prime. He did that stuff, and now we can't take our eyes off him.

2:28:44PFT Commenter:Yeah. All right, Shane, you texted me before, and you said you had a fix. Was it a fix for Soggy Sorrows? No, I had an idea for this. So the Soggy Sorrows has been hot in the streets as of late. Yes. Now, is there anybody that's really in the run now of an upcoming Soggy Sorrows? Memes. Is anybody in the team's left? Memes. Memes and Zach. Oh, PFT, congrats on the draft, by the way. Thank you. Thank you.

2:29:08Big Cat:Appreciate it. Who would you rather be right now, Scotty Scheffler or the Washington Wizards? Who's more positioned to win for the future? I think I'm going to go Wizards, I think. The young core, yeah.

2:29:18PFT Commenter:No, but to answer your question, memes and Zach and then PFT with Team USA in the World Cup. That's true. So here was my idea. I think all of us pick one golfer on the favorites list. Oh, and in fact, if your golfer wins, you have to do a Soggy Sorrows for Monday show. Wait, so if he wins, you have to do it? Yeah. So it's like you're everyone else has to do. No, everyone else has to do everybody else. Yeah. You control. Yeah. Yeah. I like that. Everybody else has. Could you can you guys do it like a full team podcast? Soggy Sorrows or no?

2:29:47Big Cat:Yeah, I think that if you give one person the power to make everybody else miserable because your guy won, that's actually the most – that's the best thing that we can hope for.

2:29:54PFT Commenter:We'd have to eliminate the top five. Because no one's getting credit for picking Scottie. You know? All right, so give me the – Yeah. Big Cat, you got the odds list in front of you? Yeah. Hold on, let me pull it up. Because it's got to be Scottie. Scottie, Rory, Rahm, Cam Young, Bryson. And Fitzy. I think we throw Fitzy out as well. He's eight. All right, yeah. then we'll do a draft I like this we'll do a draft alright so we should we go who's been on the show for the shortest amount of time to longest wait hold on let's yeah you're gonna do draft too so you're gonna have to get wet and send us a video or no we'll have to get wet if you get oh man now

2:30:34Big Cat:I think we also can't do our guys because then you're rooting because you're gonna be rooting against every other draft pick and I don't want to root against our guys

2:30:42PFT Commenter:that's fair so Max and Brooks need to be taken out taken out. So Scotty, Rory, Jon Rahm, Cam Young and Bryson are all out. Right? Are we agreeing to that? And Fitzpatrick. So Shoffley is in. Shoffley's in. And then Brooks and Max are out. Memes, you want to go first? Sure. Go around. And Shane, you get last pick, Shane. Okay. Can I take Tommy Fleetwood? Yeah. Yeah. Sure. It's a great pick. Okay. So now who's up? you max that'd be you did we say cam young was no good yes no good did we say aberg was no good no you can take him i'll take him man max great pick playing some great golf he has six top eight finishes in his last eight starts and he never chokes a big choker no never falls apart at the

2:31:34Big Cat:end in majors i love that zach i would like take justin thomas okay okay okay yeah are you taking I think I'm going to take You know what? I'm going to take Shoffley.

2:31:49PFT Commenter:Okay. I was going to say, you've got to take Shoffley. I'll take Morikawa. Yeah, been battling that injury bug. I won't take Morikawa. I didn't know he was injured. I didn't know he was injured. He played well, though. Is he injured? Big Cat, I don't think it's a bad pick. Is he injured? Just tell me if he's injured. This is like he hasn't played that level of golf since the injury. When did he last play? I think he played like two weeks ago. Did he look like he was hurt? Was he favoring anything?

2:32:21Big Cat:There's a back thing that's in the background. You know what?

2:32:25PFT Commenter:I don't want Morikawa because of this injury. I'll go even further down the list. I'm going to take Siwu Kim.

2:32:30Big Cat:Okay, nice. I love that.

2:32:32PFT Commenter:Just for the tracker, my guy.

2:32:35Big Cat:I will go with the

2:32:37PFT Commenter:southpaw, Bobby Mack. Okay, why not? All right. Now, Shane, you have the ability to do the funniest thing right now, but go ahead. Who could I pick? More Colin.

2:32:49Big Cat:After bullying him off, yeah. Yeah. I'll take Colin. That's way more Colin. I'll take Colin. God. It'd be great.

2:32:56PFT Commenter:Oh, man. All right. There you go. All right. All right. So we'll have the graphic out on Wednesday's show, and then if any of them win, everyone else has to get wet. Yep. And I assume everyone's going to bet on their guy. You got to bet on your guy. Yep. I already did. bet on your guy. Have to bet on your guy. I love it, Shane. This is great because it adds a little extra spice. It also will be Grit Week. We'll be in a hotel room. Where are you guys going? Jacksonville, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans. Oh my goodness. I got to send you a big cat. I'll send you a restaurant in Baton Rouge to hit up.

2:33:31Let's go. For some etouffee. It's like under the freeway. It's awesome. I'll send you the name.

2:33:37Big Cat:We're in. We're absolutely in. Would it be crazy to say that we screwed up by not taking Goddard up?

2:33:43PFT Commenter:He's one of our guys.

2:33:44Big Cat:I like Goddard up, but he's one of our guys.

2:33:46PFT Commenter:He's one of our guys. He's yet to be on, but he's one of our guys.

2:33:49Big Cat:No, I mean, I think he could win. But, I mean, I think – who'd you take, PFT? I got Shawfully. The value was just too good. You know me.

2:33:55PFT Commenter:I'm going to give you a one-time chance to take – You can change it. We'll allow you to change it. But you can't trade him for Goddard up.

2:34:02Big Cat:Why can't I take Goddard up?

2:34:03PFT Commenter:You got it. What about Patrick Reed?

2:34:06Big Cat:No, no. I'm sticking with Shawfully over Reed. I love Reed. I love watching him from afar, but I don't want to actually sit and root for the guy. I do. I want to see other people get mad. Shockley has been on the show. Yeah, that's true. But Goddard's one of our guys. Yeah. Which golfer have you not had on the show that you want to have on the show? Probably Goddard. Yeah. Phil. Yeah, Phil would be good. Phil would be really good. Who's the lady golfer that smokes cigarettes?

2:34:31PFT Commenter:Charlie Hall. Yeah, Charlie Hall.

2:34:33Big Cat:Yeah, yeah.

2:34:34PFT Commenter:Rory would be fun.

2:34:35Big Cat:Yeah. That's kind of surprising. Never had him on the show. I wouldn't say that. Yeah, right.

2:34:41PFT Commenter:All right, Shane, this has been awesome. I got, and by the way, reminder, everyone, Shane will be live after each round of the PGA Championship on CBS called The Scorecard. It'll be on CBS HQ, Paramount Plus, and the YouTube page. Final question, Roback question, RHOBACK.com, promo code TAKE. 20 % off your first purchase, Q-Zips, polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts, Roback.com, promo code TAKE. Zach.

2:35:07Big Cat:what's going on Shane I was curious is there an appropriate aging golf where you can move to the flex shafts and how early can that be no no not at all I mean you can move whenever you need to anything that helps your game man don't be scared that's the one thing pro golfers never do no ego involved Zach I have a rollback question for you if you're okay with it so okay so you left on a trip and you just left everything on I just I'm really confused by this just everything on in your apartment uh most of the lights were off but some of the stuff that doesn't make excessive noise was left on okay are you moving zach are you going to are you officially moving or no i'm in talks you're gonna move i haven't committed yet but i'm in talks i actually just got on a realtor during this interview oh let's go we need you to we need you to have a gaming room i did a tour this morning but all they wanted to focus on was the gym and not the apartment i was like i gotta see the square footage yeah I keep talking amenities.

2:36:04I'm trying to get in the Peloton images. Zach, here's the deal. When you move, because maybe I'm assuming, maybe I'm overstepping here, but my assumption is you're probably not a big art guy on the wall. I'm going to assume a lot of blank walls. I want to send you something for your apartment to put on the wall.

2:36:23Big Cat:That would be so kind of you. I'll get it right up right away. I want to frame it and everything. So I need your address when you get a new apartment, and I'm going to ship you something. And you can put it up or not. I don't really care, but I just want to get you something for the new apartment. That's beautiful. That's so kind of you. I'm looking forward to that. What are you going to say, Max? Zach floated. We were talking apartments back here. He floated something. I want to know your opinion on it. He's looking at one bedrooms, and he's thinking about making the living room his bedroom and the one bed his office.

2:36:54PFT Commenter:I actually was about to say that, that Zach would like. He's like a hermit crab. He can't get. He's going to grow to the size of his... Think about how big that bedroom would be. But he spends all of his time in the office.

2:37:11Big Cat:So would the bedroom be big enough to the point where you'd have a desk and a gaming space in the big room too? I think there's a world where there's double desk territory. And you can get one of those comically big... I think it's an Alaskan king? Yeah. Your whole apartment becomes a bedroom. Yeah, you're thinking about the crab legs. Yeah, the Alaskan king crabs. Yeah. And I told him an Alaskan king doesn't make a ton of sense when you are by yourself. Well, you don't know that. I might have guests. Yeah, he might. I don't usually. Zach also might just roll over. He might have guests like a family member come to stay.

2:37:44Big Cat:We're going to share the bed. His guest room is just the Alaskan king bed.

2:37:47PFT Commenter:He's like Willy Wonka. He's got his grandfather in the bed with him.

2:37:52Big Cat:Yeah, mom and dad. You can stay over. The Alaskan king bed is actually way bigger than the California. Oh, there is an Alaskan king bed. It's a square. Is that really a thing, PFT? Yeah, it's a square. 108 inches by height. So it's nine by nine. And if you think that's big, check out the Florida King. I believe that's even double. Wow. Okay, the Florida King. Wait, Shane, I got one last question for you.

2:38:12PFT Commenter:I golfed this morning, and for the first time ever, I used the neon yellow balls. Is that a loser move? All right. Yep. Okay. All right. I'm throwing them out. Memes support him. He's like, dude, do whatever you want. But I am now. You know what? I did it for a year. And then you, you know, the same thing is I did. I had a run where I put my last name on my golf ball. And then at one point I realized that was kind of a loser move to like, you know, I don't need to put my name on my God. You know, it's like, just play the golf ball. Well, I found it was obviously easier to find it, but also a lot harder to cheat.

2:38:49PFT Commenter:So that part is the problem for me because I, you know, like I like to have the ability to just be like, oh, no, this is my ball when it's not. and I can just hit it. You know, I think when Homa caddied for me at a U.S. amateur qualifier in Arizona a few years ago, I think I used a yellow golf ball. And I don't think he said anything about it, but I could see it in his face. Yeah, your answer, your non-answer right away told me everything.

2:39:17Big Cat:But what about the orange ones? The orange ones are actually cool, right? Yeah. Think about those. They're actually harder to see, I think, when they're in the air. Yeah, but once you... A hundred percent. Yeah. A hundred percent agree. But you can find it. I remember a big club company years ago, they fooled around with like a red one. Yeah. They were like going to make a red golf ball. They're like, you can never find it. Yeah. Never. Again, I've been asking TaylorMade to do this for years, but put like a tiny little RFID chip inside all the balls because there's nothing more frustrating than hitting the ball.

2:39:48Big Cat:You miss the fairway by like a foot and a half, two feet. Brutal. And then you just don't know where it is. And you're like, I guess you got to take a drive. Put a little chip in there just for us shitty golfers. Yeah, I mean, they have them in our AirPod case, for goodness sakes. You can't put that into a golf ball.

2:40:00PFT Commenter:Yeah, we can make that happen. Yeah. All right, Shane, you're the best. We really appreciate it. Have fun this week. And if we don't talk to you before then, good luck on golf's longest day. We're rooting for you. Thanks, fellas. Always appreciate it.

Rio de Janeiro. Okay. Exciting. I'm excited to see you. This is shocking. How do you think Lamar's? The Eagles are going to be at the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. I love it. How do you think Lamar's stomach is going to handle Brazilian food?

2:42:29Big Cat:It's a shot in the dark.

2:42:31PFT Commenter:Yeah, Cowboys and Giants Sunday Night Football week one. I know people get upset that the Cowboys get all these primetime games. I love it because there is not a quarterback that is better suited for instant knee-jerk reaction than Dak Prescott. If he's bad, he's the worst quarterback ever. If he's good, this is the year he's the MVP. He's like he's the most – the takes are so easy. They're layup takes every time he plays in a primetime. They also get the ratings. So who – the Christmas game was the biggest game ever.

2:43:03Big Cat:I might be biased against – I'm sick of the Cowboys. But then have more people watch the Commanders. That's like saying you're sick of the NFL. You're just going to put them on every single year. I'm sick of the Cowboys.

2:43:15PFT Commenter:Yeah, but isn't it fun to talk about Dak? You know what I'm talking about. It's fun to talk about Dak, though.

2:43:20Big Cat:If he stinks. It is fun to hate Dak, but I mean, yeah. The worst part for you and I, PFT, Sunday Night Football, that's just not a fun watch for either of us.

2:43:29PFT Commenter:No. Cowboys and Giants? Yeah. There's no positive out there. No, there is. If Dak sucks, that's funny. but then the Giants.

2:43:38Big Cat:The positive is like, who cares? If Dak has a complete implosion that game, the Giants win. I'm okay

2:43:44PFT Commenter:with that. The Giants fans are going to get all cocky. But that's funny too.

2:43:49Big Cat:Your thing about that Thursday night game, which was great. I enjoyed that. I guess with the way things turned out, I could see why you enjoyed that. Oh yeah, that was

2:44:00PFT Commenter:also during playoff baseball.

2:44:01Big Cat:That was one of the worst nights of my life. Yeah, it was a tough night for you. yeah I just give us a schedule just give us the fucking schedule

2:44:08PFT Commenter:you know what they should do just have it be schedule week and do a promo where this is just boosting the economy every grocery store in America has the magnet schedule for the local team I like that you show up you buy something you get your magnet schedule I'd rather have it in a magnet they could also do four days

2:44:29Big Cat:and just both conferences I guess three days but like this isn't gonna work the afc and nfc east is monday what are you talking about oh that one they play each other no but i'm saying you get yeah yeah it's okay no that wouldn't work all right cut that we'll cut that we'll cut that uh one of my favorite new accounts online jeff jeff d lowe sent this to me and jeff d lowe was like look at look how crazy uh this freak gets with his schedules it's the nfl nerd this is him talking about someone else yeah yeah so you know it's good jesus nerding on nfl does a mock schedule every year love that so he put together a full look at this he's got like the spreadsheet out with the entire predicted schedule that he has i'm sure he's going to get like i don't know even what a successful prediction would be like five games if he gets like maybe six games correct for the entire season it's like that guy we found who did the uh bracket but with times yeah that's what this guy did except not only times but dates and weeks for every single team and predicts all the overseas games.

2:45:31PFT Commenter:Okay.

2:45:31Big Cat:Yeah, this guy rocks. So I'm just rooting for this guy to be right. I want this guy to have a good season.

2:45:35PFT Commenter:Just give us a fucking schedule.

2:45:36Big Cat:So sick. Alright, guys on chicks. AWL chick married to an AWL here. I need some advice. I recently got a boob job and of course I want to show the girls off a little. Nothing crazy or over the top, but I didn't spend thousands of dollars to hide them. My husband was obviously supportive of me getting them done. Recently he's been getting defensive and controlling about me wearing more revealing tops. Is he right to ask me to cover up or should he chill out and enjoy that he has a wife who went from A's to D's?

2:46:06PFT Commenter:Whoa. I think he's gotta chill out a little bit. Yeah, dude. Why are you trying to cock buck all of us?

2:46:10Big Cat:Now yeah, when you got this boob job, he probably thought you were getting them for him. And he didn't realize that you have an entire life outside of when he's looking at your chest. Let the girls play.

2:46:25PFT Commenter:Let them play. Get him some air. I actually think we're kind of borderline doctors on this podcast. I think post-op boob job, you have to let them breathe. Otherwise, they'll get suffocated. That's part of the...

2:46:40Big Cat:You don't use it, you lose it.

2:46:42PFT Commenter:Yeah, exactly. Zach, you agree?

2:46:44Big Cat:You got to let them settle. You have to drop some.

2:46:48PFT Commenter:It's like a foundation, a cement foundation.

2:46:50Big Cat:Exactly. They've got to settle a little bit. They start high, and then they'll find a resting spot. Yeah. I don't know that he was ready for all that you having new boobs would entail. When you're out in public, I don't think he was ready for the attention that you would be getting.

2:47:05PFT Commenter:Here's what you can do. If he continues to insist on this, be like, dude, you can get a dick enlargement. Reverse it on him.

2:47:12Big Cat:Yeah, you can wear all the Speedos you want. You can ball max. You can start to ball max. Did you guys read about that? Ball maxing? Yeah. Missed that one. Nope. It's new. It's a new thing. I don't think I need to elaborate Spark notes Like big balls 10 words or less Yeah, max is right Big balls Dudes injecting stuff into their Which is the stupidest thing ever Because it just makes your dick look small

2:47:40PFT Commenter:What are we doing?

2:47:41Big Cat:It's dumb Yeah, big meaty clankers

2:47:45PFT Commenter:What are we doing?

2:47:47Big Cat:Hey boys, love the show Having a problem at work Every time I hear someone say good question in my everyday life, especially at work, I instantly repeat, good question, as a courteous AWL that I am. Everyone around me is confused, aside from the men who are clearly AWLs, who seem to get skittish awkward when they realize I also listen. I mean, she's hot. Is this a problem, or should I embrace it and keep going? Thanks, Ghost Hell, thanks, we'll be back. I think you embrace it. You embrace it. What's wrong with complimenting people on questions? That was a good question that you asked. Good question.

2:48:18PFT Commenter:Yeah, this girl rocks.

2:48:24PFT Commenter:Be yourself. This podcast is for everyone.

2:48:27Big Cat:No, but she's saying she's in a board meeting.

2:48:30PFT Commenter:Yeah, the guys are getting weirded out.

2:48:32Big Cat:No, but she's in a board meeting. Maybe there's a guy presenting. Someone else asks a question, and the guy presenting is like, good question. And then she just chimes up for no reason. Good question. That's awesome. That might be like, you might be like, why? They'll get over it. Are you in the right place to be complimenting me or acknowledging me for saying good question? That's a good question. Yeah, that's a good question.

2:48:59Big Cat:Hey, PMT. My fiance has been obsessed with playoff hockey for the last month. He won't be watching any of the shows we've been watching together like the boys or the bear after he's done work. He told me that when the Stanley Cup finals begin, there will be more gap days that we can fill in to catch up on our shows. Do I just suck it up for the next three weeks, or is there anything I can do to stop him from watching playoff hockey? His team, the Flames, didn't even make the playoffs, so I don't know why he's so obsessed. Please help. You actually wish that his team made the playoffs and lost in the first round because then he would not be as obsessed.

2:49:30PFT Commenter:Also, has anyone kept up with the bear? I stopped after season two. No. I heard it wasn't great.

2:49:36Big Cat:I think it got worse. Yeah. Weird. It became no longer like a funny show. Because season two was fine. I think season three I watched the first few episodes and it was not for me anymore.

2:49:48PFT Commenter:So he's actually doing you a favor.

2:49:50Big Cat:Yeah.

2:49:51PFT Commenter:Also, you could just watch on your own. Did the boys get crazy, too?

2:49:54Big Cat:Yeah. Memes is the biggest boys guy of all time. Memes loves the boys. You love the boys. Number one boys guy.

2:49:59PFT Commenter:Yeah.

2:50:01Big Cat:Still good.

2:50:03PFT Commenter:Yeah, just watch on your own if you want to. What does it matter? Save it for a flight. And then you can just re-watch it with him and just be scrolling Instagram while you're watching. Be like, oh, I bet you this is going to happen. You should predict everything. Also, you just get a second TV.

2:50:17Big Cat:My fiance has been gone for the past five days. I've watched like the entire I've just rewatched the entire Entourage show Love that Is she going to be mad when she gets back Like why didn't you wait for me Certainly not

2:50:39Big Cat:15 56 85 48

2:50:45PFT Commenter:Happy belated birthday to Jersey Jerry 8 PFT missed on Monday.

2:50:49Big Cat:No shot. I wished him a birthday yesterday online. No, I know, but he missed out on the show. I went to X.com, the Everything app, and I posted happy birthday, Jersey Jerry. Your whole thing on this show is doing birthday shout-outs. That's not my whole thing. Yes, it is. It's all you have. That's about five seconds at the end of the show.

2:51:10PFT Commenter:It's birthday shout-outs and wizards.

2:51:12Big Cat:The bad part about being a birthday guy is you want to wish you were horrible at it. If you want to wish people a happy birthday, they don't give you credit for the ones that you nail. Only the ones that you miss. It's hard to find them. Only the ones that you miss. All right.

2:51:26PFT Commenter:Everyone say their numbers. Say them again real quick. 77. 43. 48.

2:51:31Big Cat:15. 85.

2:51:33PFT Commenter:69. 69 for Jake. Memes, what was yours? 11. What else got? Oh, Jake. Jake with the numbers.

He got pissed when he switched to Netflix. He said, fuck you guys. Love's audio podcast. Love you guys. Love you guys.
