1:30Okay, let's go. Hey, football guy, for Dean of A.W. Yeah, pardon my take. Yeah, pardon my take. Yeah, pardon my take. Yeah, pardon my take. Yeah, pardon my take. Welcome to Pardon My Take presented by DraftKings. The crown is yours. Today is Wednesday, January 28th. And PFT, I have a question for you to start the show. Why, oh why, will no one take the Cleveland Browns job knowing that you have a Pro Bowl quarterback? It seems like it's a tailor-made job for success. Shador made the Pro Bowl. What else? Hot young talent. I want to know how Shador found out that he made the Pro Bowl because usually the coach calls you.
2:26Yeah. And the Browns don't have a coach. I was hoping that maybe Jeff Ulbrich's son had to give him a call and let him know as punishment for what he did during the draft. This might be what kills the Pro Bowl. We've been begging for the Pro Bowl to die. It's been on life support and it's been time to pull the plug for a while and maybe the fact that Shador made it that should be the end of the line, right? So Shador Sanders, yes the Pro Bowl, I love this for the discourse I love how mad people are getting because the Pro Bowl, if you've been paying any attention has not meant anything for a really long time now and this is the final nail in the coffin shador had 1400 yards seven touchdowns 10 interceptions and an 18.9 qbr he makes it as an alternate because drake may's in the super bowl josh allen's hurt uh who else is who else is on the list lamar's hurt i went through the list and herbert's hurt uh aaron Rodgers is old Trevor Lawrence didn't get asked is that true I don't know that's not that must have gotten he must have turned it down because I went through the list in my head and it's like Bo Nix is hurt uh Gino would probably be one that did not get asked which by the way we when we did our losers on Monday we forgot Gino Smith again loser is a relative term because he plays professional football and he's a quarterback and he's made a ton of money but Gino Smith got traded from the Seahawks and they immediately went to the Super Bowl and the team he went to got the number one pick.
3:54Yeah. That's as brutal as it gets. There's one common denominator between the Seahawks and Raiders for it to be potentially the best team and the worst team, and it's Geno Smith. I would say maybe Pete Carroll. Yeah. He would be on that list too. But again, Pete Carroll never coached for the Raiders, so we don't have to talk about that. But yeah, I went through the list of every AFC quarterback yesterday, and I feel like Geno is the one that did not get asked. Mm-hmm. Dylan Gabriel did not get asked. Mm-hmm. Brady Cook probably did not get asked. What's the guy from... Tua? Do you think Tua turned it down?
4:28That's the real question. Tua probably didn't get asked. Who was the guy? Oladunka? Oladunka? Yeah. Yeah. Remember him? He probably did not get asked either. Flacco should have made it. CJ Stroud should have made it. CJ Stroud definitely should have made it. Philip Rivers? Philip Rivers should have made it. Absolutely. I think all these guys might have turned it down. Yeah, Daniel Jones, I think he's injured, so he obviously turned it down. But yeah, it's... What do you think Cam Ward? Cam Ward should have made it ahead of Shador. Absolutely. It's so funny, though. It is very funny. Because it really is.
4:59If they were intentionally trying to kill the Pro Bowl, mission accomplished. I saw Sean Merriman, which I didn't really think about this effect, but it kind of is the truth. He tweeted, I have a Pro Bowl helmet that I walk by almost every day. it's signed by some of the best players in the history of the nfl legends hall of famers and real goats the pro bowl used to be a badge of honor and respected things have changed for guys who made the pro bowl and when they get introduced as three four five time pro bowler this probably does hurt for everyone else it's just very very funny yeah and let's not act like the pro bowl was a great game because it never really was it used to be better than it was at the very end when it was just obviously guys not trying to tackle and get hurt which i also You'll understand if you're in that game.
5:41But, I mean, you talk to anybody that played in the Pro Bowl in the 90s, 2000s, for the most part, it's like, yeah, we were in Hawaii. We were drunk during that game, which is, that might be a better version, is just do a drunk football game. Drunk football. Case race before the football game. I would enjoy watching that. Yeah, case race, flag football game. That sounds like a great time. It is just great, though, because no matter what next year, when Shador, if Shador has a bad game, Pro Bowler. Pro Bowler. Hey, that's a Pro Bowler right there. They'll never take that away from him. Pro Bowler.
6:09Yeah. If you can't love my Pro Bowler at my Pro Bowl game at Tyler Huntley, you don't deserve it at Shador Sanders. Yeah. That's where we're at. The Browns thing, though, is weird because it looks like we're going to get the head nipples in chief, Jim Schwartz, back as a head coach. No one else wants it. Everyone's just basically pulling out. I do have a theory that Kyle Long actually texted me about last night, and he's spot on. this um uh steel chase we've got we've got it we've got another tyler shuck situation what do you mean his name is impossible i read it every time i read it as steel chase then it's shield house then it's like i his name is confusing it's hard it should be steel chase it's hard it's hard to to to read but when you hear shield house you just think like brick house yeah but it's hard to read it's a badass name very hard to read i don't know what the browns are gonna it does feel like Jim Schwartz's guy, mostly because if they don't hire him as the head coach, they'll lose him as the DC, which is a real problem because that's obviously the strength of the Browns.
7:12I think that's actually what's making everyone pull out is Jimmy Haslam is like, if we hire you, Jim Schwartz is our DC and every guy is like, I don't want to come, which I totally understand. I don't want to come into a job where you have appointed me a DC who's very good at defensive coordinating, but you're essentially saying if things go wrong, he's going to be the head coach. you have you're like hey come take the cleveland browns job oh just by the way we have an interim head coach waiting for you to fuck up right it's like you've got a a great house a perfect house and you just a shield house and you just need to you need to uh replace the deck on it and then if that person comes in the deck isn't what you thought then you're like well this whole house is fucked up i'll just hire the guy that built the rest of it right so it's uh listen i like i like jim schwartz as a dc did not work out as a head coach for him but he was in a tough situation there uh detroit right he was the lions head coach and not many people have ever succeeded at doing that so maybe he agreed that on a curve a little bit but uh the most important thing with jim schwartz is that his name is jim shorts which i don't think we talk about enough yeah like we have a man named jim shorts that's coaching professional football we should be mentioning that almost every single day i don't know who's going to coach the browns i don't know who's going to want to coach the browns i don't know what uh haslam has in store for the quarterback situation because that feels like it's a major question mark you've got you're going to be saddled with one of two guys either pro bowler shador sanders or pro bowler deshaun watson or pro bowl alternate dylan gabriel yes uh you have to imagine he's an alternate almost like an embarrassment of riches there so uh what if shador lights it up in the pro bowl he probably will yeah he probably will because he'll probably run the play that we call for him yeah do you know um what's the taylor swift uh song i'm it's me i'm the problem it's me yeah is that it yeah uh I'm the problem.
9:00It's me. Yeah. Yeah. That was my moment when the Jim Schwartz news was kind of, you know, bubbling up on Monday night. And I was like, oh, shit, like we're going to get his nipples back. And I went to find a picture of Jim Schwartz's nipples. And all the Google results were just me talking about Jim Schwartz's nipples, which is not fair because he does objectively. The man's got rock hard nipples. Dude, he's got fucking diamond cutters. Okay. That's just a fact. But yeah, I've kind of maybe made that bigger in my head. It's just like the first result was just me asking Chris Long, hey, what's up with Jim Schwartz's nipples?
9:35He's just like, what are you talking about? Is this another moment where you see a hot guy at the tailgate? Yeah. And then you keep talking about that, and you see Jim Schwartz's nipples one time, and you're like, yeah, that's the guy with the big nipples. Yeah, there it is. Me asking Jim Schwartz's nipples. How are Jim Schwartz's nipples doing? That's what I asked Chris Long. They do pop. They do. They pop. So listen, Cleveland Browns fans, I know you're not feeling really awesome right now. Nipples. Yeah. You just know that you got nipples in charge. Now, the other one that's weird, because the Browns, their quarterback situation is a mess.
10:07Their ownership, if you're an up-and-coming head coach, you're like, hey, what's the ownership situation going to be like? All these things come into question. The Philadelphia Eagles can't find an offensive coordinator, and that seems like a pretty good job. Yeah. What is it? Is it not wanting to play in Philadelphia? Is it not wanting to work for Nick Sirianni? Is it not wanting to have Jalen Hurts as your quarterback? What is it, Max? I'm not in the meetings, all right? No one in this room is in the meetings. So no one knows what's going on and why we can't find a guy. All right? Maybe. So I'm not going to sit over here and speculate on something that I don't know.
10:46Maybe it's a little turnaround. So maybe in the past, the Eagles have made the Super Bowl, and people have immediately hired your coordinators out from under. Maybe you're waiting for the Super Bowl to be over so you can hire somebody from the Patriots or the Seahawks. No, what happens is when we don't make the Super Bowl, we hire someone good and then they just automatically get a head coaching job. But it feels like we've broken that chain. You don't know that. I don't know that. Someone's going to be the offensive coordinator, and we're not going to know until after next year if they're going to be a head coach.
11:17We're right at that stage in the life cycle where you're about to hire the guy that's going to get hired away from you next year. We're looking at this guy from the Packers. He's a guy. Yeah, go on. What's his name? Used to be a quarterback. I just pulled this up. Okay, that's good. Keep going. Played football. He played football. He's a quarterback's coach of the Packers. Okay. This guy. Okay. You're telling me this guy is Sean Mannion. Sean Mannion, Oregon State. Yep. You're telling me that guy doesn't look like a good candidate for the Eagles OC? Yeah, it's Kate's brother. Yeah. Yeah. Look at that.
11:52Come on now. That's a good candidate. Sure. Yeah, sure. You don't even know who he was. That guy looks like he would file police reports if his house got egged. He would cry. That's a football guy right there. He looks kind of like a cop. Yeah. It would be kind of funny to, in the interview, just throw an egg at him. Like, how do you deal with this? Yeah, have someone come in and be like, sir. Yeah, hey, sir. There's a report. Your child was just booed on the way to kindergarten class. Do you have anything to say about this? This guy looks like he could be an eagle Yeah, that could be the guy How close do you think we are to maybe just promoting from within Like a Kevin Petullo There's the quarterback's coach, the Bowling Green guy That's an option You know any of these guys?
12:41Name, you know I stated weeks ago that I don't care That I've opted out on this search As soon as Dable and McDaniel were gone, it was like, I don't know shit about shit. So let those guys figure it out and just hope that the offense is better next year. Yeah. So if you look at the quarterbacks coaches for the Patriots, you've got Ashton Grant, 29 years old. You've got Andrew Janoco from the Seahawks. That sounds like a Philly name to me. Can I throw out a name that maybe has misplayed his hand a little bit? Matt Nagy? He's in conversations. Yeah, because he seems like that didn't really work out for him where he essentially, Andy Reid was like, yeah, we want him before the season.
13:35I think he's like, hey, you're going to be a head coach or a play caller somewhere. So don't worry. You're going to move on. Oh, Eric Bien-Ami, we want you back. And then the comments about Eric Bien-Aimé being like, hey, he's going to give it to the guy straight. He's going to be a hard coach. That doesn't feel great for Matt Nagy. Yeah, Matt Nagy, I don't know if he's built for Philly. Maybe. I've opted out. I'm going to trust Howie. I'm just going to trust Howie and Lori and Sirianni to find the guy. Matt Nagy does have a history of helping the Eagles win first-round playoff games. He is from Pennsylvania because he played quarterback at Delaware.
14:11So maybe he's ready for it. maybe Matt Nagy is the guy. I don't know. What does Delaware have to do with anything? I don't know. I just know that he played. I know he played in Delaware, and then I looked up, and he's, yeah, he's from Pennsylvania. Most people who go to Delaware are from Pennsylvania. That's not dealing just because you played football at Delaware. No, but he's from Pennsylvania. Dealt with Philly. It was a backwards way. I remembered in my head that he went to college in Delaware, and then I looked up, and I was like, oh, yeah, he's from Pennsylvania. Joe Flacco. Yeah. Delaware is a satellite school for Philadelphia.
14:43My dad went to Delaware. Philadelphia. My uncle played football at Delaware. There we go. See? Yeah. That's all I got. That was good. That was really good. That was good analysis. Yeah. All right. So Matt Nagy, maybe. I don't know how he's going to find his guy. Okay. Clean up from Sunday. I had a couple things. One, I had a thought. This is when you know football just takes over your brain. I just woke up in the middle of the night, and I was like, do you think that jared stidham maybe regrets that he had to play in that game oh i thought that going into the game yeah that this is a bad moment for him because he's maybe the highest paid backup quarterback in the nfl yeah and then you have to go out there you have to prove it it's the accidentally got important at my job thing yeah um it sucks for him it's not a great scenario like if he had gone out there and won this game i would say jared stidham at that point should fake an injury so he wouldn't have to play in the super bowl he'd been a legend for life you'll always be known as the guy that got the broncos to the super bowl in a backup duty yeah so yeah i i agree with that i think he's probably like fuck that sucked i also i'm i'm kind of i've leaned towards that i don't think i have a problem with sean payton going for that fourth and one now that i'm thinking back because the everyone's playing the game of after the game yeah i know some people in the moment were like take the points but you were you were saying in the cave take the point yeah i know but i've been thinking about it more it's like you never were going to get back to the red zone they never got back to the red zone the play call like pft said on sunday show was bad yeah that's the problem if you can't get one yard you don't you don't deserve to win a football game also it's it's big time hindsight looking back what you did on the couch they wanted a knockout punch what you did on that couch was i thought bullshit you were like did they not know like the weather was going to come in then the second half would be ugly like nobody knows that that's going to happen.
16:32Like, it's about if you get that first down right there, you increase your chances of winning the game almost exponentially. If you go up 14 to nothing, I thought that was the right call. It was a bad play call. That's the issue. Yeah, touch push. Yeah. And also, in the moment, you didn't necessarily know that Jared Siddham was going to suck for the rest of the game. No. He hit that nice bomb downfield. That was cool. You could have guessed. He ran pretty good effectively, I guess you could say. You did not expect the output to be what it ended up being in the second half. Yeah. The weather police are also out in full force, even more so than we thought on Sunday night.
17:05Yeah. Being like, that was just the worst. I can't reiterate enough, though. The game was not good offensively before the weather showed up. And I do think that the idea that, and we actually asked if we could get Kurt Warner on for Friday's show, because we want to maybe talk to him about it and preview the Super Bowl. I like, personally, I like that football varies in terms of there's a dome team, there's a track meet, and then a game like the AFC Championship game quickly becomes just a survival of the fittest. Yeah. And it becomes, and I know punts aren't sexy, but just thinking back to the Patriots punt to the 33-yard line being like, holy shit, did that just swing the game?
17:44There's something about like, hey, we just have to find a way. We have a new set of problems. We have to find a way that the conditions aren't perfect. I don't really want to take that out of football. Imagine if they had kicked the field goal and that game was tied and a team had to score to win. Yeah. It would have been electric. I would have had a heart attack, but it would have been an unbelievable, like, how is a team scoring? Yeah. Yeah. And coaching is a big part of that. And I like the stress that it puts on coaches to figure out a way to win in unusual conditions. That's part of the game.
18:14Yeah. And I don't want them to take that personality away from the game. But it also reminds you of when you're a kid and you're playing snow football and everyone's had that experience. And that's fun. I like watching that. So Kurt Warner, I'm sure, is going to come on and be like, Every game should be played at SoFi Stadium. And it feels like he's gaining popularity. Like his take is gaining popularity because of how bad that game looked in the second half. But again, I think we're going to be in a day. It's going to happen no matter what, so it's kind of pointless to complain about. But there will be a day in 10, 15 years where 90 % of the league is in a dome, and I think that will suck.
18:50I think that will suck because we'll miss it. We'll miss having the weather elements impact a game, especially in the playoffs, where you have to be built in different ways. You can't just build the team one way and be like, no matter what, we're going to play this way. Yeah. Also, a very important part of this is it gives losers an excuse to be like, that's weather luck. Weather luck. That's why these teams keep winning. Weather luck. And we need every straw available to grasp on. Yeah. The other story I had was from the NFC Championship game, the Cooper Cup elevator story, which was quite something.
19:22The so Michael Silver reported after the game that apparently when the Rams and Seahawks played in in was a week 15 or 16 early in the year that Thursday night game Cooper Cup had a costly fumble in the first half. and as both staffs were going down the elevator to the locker room for halftime, a Rams assistant essentially said to everyone but was kind of pretending to talk to only his guys, being like, which Seattle player was responsible for that fumble? And someone was like, oh, it's Cooper Cup. And then they snickered at the idea because they're like, yeah, he stinks. That's why we got rid of him.
20:01And then the Seahawks and Rams coordinators and staff had to be broken up. They almost fought in the elevator. That's awesome. I like that. It's fucking awesome. Good for the league. I'm sad that it took this long for that story to come out. I know. And apparently they used it at halftime as like a rallying cry, Cooper Cup. And then it comes out, Michael Silver talks a little bit more about Cooper Cup not wanting to retire. The Rams basically trying to get him to retire. Maybe possibly bad-mouthing him in free agency. so this is a redemptive arc for Cooper Cup in this Super Bowl. And he had that touchdown catch.
20:34He had that big third down against the Rams. That was a great revenge game for him. He had the bet that Zach made on him to score another touchdown when the Seahawks had the ball with a minute and 50 left, up four. Got to take a shot. It was a panic pick, but shoot a shoot. Got to take a shot. The events that would have had to take place would have been and it would have been an all-timer. And Stafford has not decided on whether or not he's coming back next year. He's going to take some time. He's got to. I think he should. I also forgot the Rams have two first-round picks. Yeah, Falcons. Yeah.
21:06So the Rams feel like they're in a situation where they're basically at everything that is just on Matthew Stafford. If Matthew Stafford decides not to come back, it's going to be a blow-up situation. If he does come back, it's like, hey, we're this close. Yeah. And did you guys see the stat, too? which was kind of funny because there's been a lot of talk about um the shanahan coaching tree and all these guys and obviously there was the storyline of you know ben johnson and lafleur and then ben johnson had to play sean mcveigh the bottom three teams in special teams epa in the last five years are the 49ers the rams and the packers the shanahan coaching tree just doesn't give a fuck about special teams and it bites them in the ass interesting yeah all right no i i didn't put that together but yeah those are those are three teams that we've talked about on the show correct consistently right not having good and they just don't they they they i don't know if it's not they don't care about it but they clearly put an emphasis not on hey special teams very important we need to make sure that we have all this tightened up and it lost them the game on sunday and i think all three of those coaches have had moments where their special teams they know that it's a weakness and the only thing they do to fix it is they put like a star position player back there to return kicks right Kyron Williams Kyron Williams did that they've done that in San Francisco a ton yeah over the years here's the exact stat it's the since 2020 playoffs included the EPA I don't understand these numbers special teams EPA the Niners are minus 86.83 they're 30th Packers are minus 165 so almost twice as worse and the Rams are minus 169 means they make a lot of mistakes and it means are also really good at everything else to cover up for those mistakes.
22:51And it's not a third of the game, but when you make a mistake on special teams, it ends up being a disproportionately costly mistake, as opposed to making a mistake as a quarterback. Maybe you throw a pick 25 yards down the field. Because there's only, I mean, how many special teams plays are there in a game? There's not nearly as many compared to offensive and defensive snaps. So when you have one mistake out of, we'll call it 15, it's pretty apparent. We saw that in the national title game, too, college football. Yep. yep special teams matter we're here to tell you special teams matter mike mcdonald he's there's gonna be a lot of stories about mike mcdonald i saw this that too he is the first head coach to put to go to a super bowl who never took a snap of college football so it's the new era of nerd yeah he so mike mcdonald blew out his knee playing high school football and immediately started coaching which i love that he was that obsessed with football Yeah, he was that obsessed with football.
23:47But I think it tracks. Did you read the story about Mike McDonald and the way that he spent his week leading up to the Rams game? Not hanging out with his kid. Yeah. Yeah. He said he gets about 30 minutes to an hour of personal time with his son, Jack, in a week, and the two barely get to see each other. So how old is his son? There was a very funny graphic that said it was just Mike McDonald, and it said only sees his son for 30 minutes a week. Yeah. I don't know. dad yeah that's so that's not a lot of time that's that's i would be bummed if i only saw my kids for 30 minutes a week what if you only play golf for 30 minutes a week hank the horrible the i did see a follow-up doesn't it's nothing i saw doesn't even count a follow-up to it um from i can't remember oh it's michael schwartz i think followed up to it he was like people aren't understanding the NFL week what he's talking about is Monday through Thursday is essentially the full install working endlessly so yes he doesn't see him then but he was like I guarantee you sees him on Friday Saturday you know before the game on Sunday so not as bad as it is as the quote looked he's not and he also said that the kids most likely the head coach's kids are at the facility too during the week hanging out he's not talking about like you know he doesn't spend hours helping them with homework right but he does have them helping around around the facility yeah that kid's probably getting him coffee probably helping out probably these are gonna be memories installs these are gonna be memories that the kid's gonna have for the rest of his life yeah yeah that one was tough though i i did see i think he probably regrets that quote because it felt but mike mittonald's incredible incredible coach his son hank to answer your question one year old oh so the kid's not gonna remember doesn't count kids not gonna remember yeah that's kids kids become kids at like two-ish, like where they'll start when they start walking, talking.
25:41Yeah, he's good. Yeah, that's more of a problem I would expect for mom. He's going to be, if the Seahawks win the Super Bowl, he's going to be a headphones on the field kid. That doesn't count. Yeah. You know, one of those. Memes, can you explain this tweet that you had? What do you have? About Adam Gase. By the way, Mike McDonald, just to put a bow on it, his season this year. The Shanahan... Oh, no, this was actually last year. He took a... He just kills the Shanahan coaching tree. Like, every time he plays. Yeah. He just brutalizes. He's an ax. Yeah. Memes had a tweet. Mike McDonald sees his son for 30 minutes a week.
26:20They go on a Super Bowl run. Adam Gase skips Thanksgiving dinner with his family. The Jets lose 22-6, failed to score a touchdown. Yep. To a winless Bengals team. Yeah, that's right. He did skip his Thanksgiving. but if you're Adam Gase's family, aren't you kind of happy? Maybe that Adam Gase isn't around. Maybe for Thanksgiving. That seems like a situation. You'd be like, yeah, that's fine. Yeah. What's he up to? Maybe next OC for the Eagles. I don't know. He kind of ran out of, ran out of gas after everyone was like, oh, so the whole just being OC for Peyton Manning was a good career move. Yeah.
26:57Imagine if Jim Sorge had gotten into a game. That was probably his, his biggest fear, right? Was Peyton Manning gets hurt before the AFC championship game. Yeah. Jim Sorge would have been like, actually, I retire. Badger legend. I'd like to retire on the spot. Okay. Should we do... We have Hot Seat Cool Throwing coming up, but I think it's time for the list. Yeah. Unless you guys have anything else. Hank, how are you feeling now that it's Tuesday? You feel confident? Are you breaking down game tape? You were correct about the substitutions. I apologize. It's okay. Greg Olson and Coach Gruden. Did you say never wrong?
27:28What? You're never wrong? Okay. I was trying to apologize and be gracious, and then you just immediately spit in my face. I would also like to be gracious. I've been thinking about this and my friend PFT over there, and I'm worried about him. I would like to give you a chance to take. I feel like you might have got pressure too into the double or nothing. PFT was the one who actually initially said it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So wait, wait, wait. I know you probably thought about it and been like, fuck, that was a heated gaming moment. No, I'm not. To clear this up, right after the game was over, we talked about it.
28:05I said to Max, I'm about to do something really stupid right now. Max, can you confirm? Confirm, confirm. And I said, Hank, you want to do double or nothing? And then Big Cat was the one that brought it up on the podcast, but I had made the offer already. The only reason I brought it up was I heard the offer, and I heard you be a chicken. And also, I donated the$5 ,000 to Pete Frady's fund, so if you don't do double or nothing. Did PFT donate$1 ,000? No, because I knew that we were going to have a conversation about this. You said we'll have a conversation. And if you don't do, you'll have to then double my donation.
28:37I'm not scared of double or nothing. I am more confident than ever. I'm just giving PFT an opportunity. It's gracious. Where's your confidence coming from? I want you guys to negotiate, but where's the confidence? Is it just Sam Darnold? No, no, no. There's a few factors. One, I think the defense is underrated. I think that the Seahawks have not played a lot of great offense. They haven't played a lot. Besides the NFC West, their schedule's not that crazy either. I mean, the Rams were the best offense. I know, but I'm saying take out the NFC West and look at their schedule. There's not any crazy, crazy— We're doing schedule talk.
29:11It goes the other way, and I was like, let's look at the Seahawks schedule. And I'm like, this isn't that impressive either. You did that with the Broncos too, yeah. The number one thing, though, that it comes back to that I've been thinking about, because I think Sam Darnold is a lot better. I'm not going to put the Jets stink on him, the seeing goes, even though that is going to get brought up a lot. Mike Vrabel and Josh McDaniels have been here before they know what it takes and what they have to do in a week going up in the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl they know every single facet of Super Bowl preparation they are going to have the Patriots more prepared than the Seahawks will that is that is what it ultimately comes down to I think I saw the Gruden uh and and Greg Olson clip where they're talking about finding the little edges and how Vrabel is that good at that and i think the coaching like experience in these games is going to be a huge factor i agree that's where my confidence is coming i agree with that so i'm looking at their schedule they played obviously the niners they played but he said take out the good nfc west the four good teams they played forget about okay so we get the steelers okay well no they played four games they played the diners twice and the rams twice take out that okay okay we got to take out the good team we got The Steelers, good team.
30:26Bucks, good team. You guys played the Steelers, right? Yeah. Did you beat them? No. The Jaguars, good team. Texans, Hank. Everyone's saying that the CJ trial is horrible. I'm looking at a website right now that has the Seahawks as the fourth hardest schedule in the NFL. No, but Max, in defense of that, they didn't take out the four games they had against the two best teams. Fair, fair, fair, fair. The Vikings, not bad. Sure. The Colts. That was Max Prosper. Not bad. If we're being... I'm just trying to skate over it. Yeah, Falcons. Falcons, not bad. The Colts, not bad. The Panthers, not bad. But again, I didn't look at their schedule.
31:08This one says 15. This one says 15. I think they had a perfectly normal schedule. But to answer your question, that is where my confidence is coming from. I think Sam Darnold's good. I think that's a relatively even matchup in terms of the quarterback. I think Drake May is better. He's just a little bit younger. Sam Darnold is more experienced. not in these big games that are supposed to be their first Super Bowls, I think the coaching is the key. You don't think Mike McDonald's a good coach? Did you not listen to anything I just said? I heard some of your things, but Mike... Has Mike McDonald won three Super Bowls?
31:40Has he been the offensive coordinator for like 100? No. This is his first Super Bowl. He's going through his first Super Bowl. Mike Vrabel and Josh McDaniels, this is just a walk in the park. They've been here before. They know what they have to do. Mike McDonald has not. I agree. I agree, Hank. I think the coaching guys... So it's not... It's always gotcha. You're always doing gotcha. No, it's not. I'm gotcha. I was just asking about Mike McDonald. I'm happy that our coaches have more experience. And your takeaway from that is, you don't think Mike McDonald's a good coach? I think he's a very good coach.
Read the full transcript
32:04That's all I said. You just didn't listen to anything I said. Hank, here's why... I take your point, and I agree with it, that the Patriots definitely have the edge in coaching based on experience. What, you don't think Mike McDonald's a good coach? Wait, hold on. Hank, you can't do this. You can't do this. You did your fucking schedule thing, and then you said, take out the Rams in the Niners. I just said take out the Rams. I don't even think the Niners are that good. Their offense is pretty damn good. They scored three points against them. Right. What are you talking about? The Seahawks defense is good.
32:34They're not against the Rams. Okay, so Hank, the only part that weakens this point that you're trying to make is last week you did the exact same thing against Sean Payton and against Vance Joseph when you didn't know who the coaches were. so I feel like that's your go-to that you keep going back to we got the coaching edge there's more time in between there's jitters Mike Frible has not coached in a Super Bowl he's been to three but he knows he knows it he knows the week I agree with that he understands the schedule and what it takes I can't make a point about everything I say you're wrong you're wrong you're right you're right i'm saying no shit he hasn't coached in a super bowl yeah i was just pointing that out because that that's that is part of it i listen super bowl is different than playing i agree that that the patriots have the coaching advantage i agree breaking moose joe brady is going to be the coach
33:39joe brady has agreed to terms he's the bills head coach okay i like i like it That's good. I like it. I love Joe Brady. Joe Brady, friend of the program. Joe Brady's been a guy that we've rooted for since LSU. So this obviously speaks highly of his relationship with Josh because it felt like Josh Allen was the one that was making this choice for head coach. Hank, back to what you're saying. You're right. I shouldn't have said you don't think Mike McDaniel is a good coach. My point was I think Mike McDaniel – I don't think the coaching difference is that vast. just like I don't think it's Mike Vrabel is just so much better of a he's a very very good coach I think Mike McDonald's a very very good head coach too I agree I think it's prep I think it's just like getting the players ready though I think like coaching X's and O's they're probably the same but I think it's again Vrabel all the players talk about how tight the locker room is the culture that he's built and all that it's like I think Vrabel is gonna like get all the players in the right mind sounds like you weren't listening to the story about cooper cup and everyone getting uh rallying around the elevator fight that seems like they're pretty tight that was a joke i was trying to lighten the mood because i feel like it's going in a bad direction no i just it's like it's i'm just defense i it's like i i it is what it is this is the well no it's against the world it's not the defense but you do without it you bring up a question i answer you know but you bring up actually everything you said is wrong but you bring up arguments the cherry pick and then when i say but what about this you're like well no i my argument was that variable and mcdaniels have blended super bowls you're like mike mcdonald you don't think mike mcdonald's a good coach like that i took that part back but like the schedule thing we were like take out the rams and the niners those are pretty big data points i was just saying that was my observation okay how about i'm not a date i'm not like if you take out like i wasn't using statistics and data i was just using my eyeballs how about how about this hang i looked at their schedule i was like yeah take these teams out that's isn't that's who cares let's let's negotiate what if i put a $40 ,000 bet on the Patriots money line in the Super Bowl.
35:40When it hits, you get$80 ,000, then I keep the rest.
35:51I guess that would be the same. Nah. Oh. Okay. Why would I do that? Because you just said we're doing double or nothing right now. Yeah, I know. But how much would you win? Well, you'd have the you'd have the you would just not lose anything no but you'd have the added luxury of if the patriots lost if the patriots won the super bowl it's like i'm i'd be out forty thousand dollars no matter what wait no if the patriots won the super bowl you would you would have you would have been out or if the patriots lose the super bowl in this case i would i would be out forty thousand dollars whereas if we did double or nothing on the super bowl i would pay no money if the patriots win the super bowl you would make 38 000 right but if they lost the super bowl right now you would just lost 40 000 not 80 000 yeah right now as we stand it's double or nothing yeah meaning if the patriots lose the super bowl i don't pay a single cent correct but if the if we do this bet and the patriots lose the super bowl at least hank in your eyes I would be losing$40 ,000.
36:59Actually, yeah. Let's do that. Let's shake on that. It's been shook on. Why are you smiling? What did you figure out?
37:09I actually agree. I know what you're going to say, and I agree with how you're playing this. Now get the clips of PFT is going to have no choice but to be rooting hard for the Patriots. It'll be fun to look back after the fact. And the fact that he's actually putting up$40 ,000 is like, I won't feel as bad taking the money. The$80 ,000 would have been a tricky thing to take from him. This is like PFT. He's not losing$80 ,000. No, he's going to lose. Now he's going to lose either$40 ,000 or win$38 ,000. Yeah. Or I guess he would win$38 ,000. I've got to be honest with Big Cat. I would gladly pay$40 ,000 for a Patriots Super Bowl loss.
37:46That's how I'm looking at it. Yeah, no. That's a great deal. That's just good investing. I mean, I'll be at the game, but I can't wait to see how you end up having to root for this. You do lose the rub it in factor. No. Yeah, you do. We'll see about that. Well, the initial rub it in factor of like, now you owe me$80 ,000. Taking$80 ,000 cash from PFT is going to be like, I disagree with that. Okay. Because now it's not like hypothetical. I feel bad taking it. It's like... No, you owe it to me, and you better pay right away. Yeah. Tuesday, settle-up day. Yeah. I mean, Hank knew that I would have such a hard time taking even$9 ,000 from him that he just never did it.
38:31Yeah, that's true. That's not... Which I understand. The misremembering, like, I didn't make$5 ,000 worth of Sarlays. Like, the debt was$4 ,000, and then we bet it on golf. So it's not like I... What happened with golf? I never paid anything. It's just wrong. What happened after golf, though? Then it was the middle of the season, and you said, you, You said, let's wait until Super Bowl. Did I say that? Yeah. You're like, I'm going to have to owe you$50 ,000. Oh, okay. I don't remember saying that, but I trust you. I trust you. I trust you. Hank's never wrong. This is reminding me of memes yesterday when he said it's going to be a hostile work environment for the next two weeks.
39:13Yeah, but when we asked him who's making a hostile, he just said me. Yeah, memes. It is. This is hostile. It's contentious. We're not even in San Francisco yet. Memes, turn on your mic. I haven't said a word. Yeah, I know, but you probably like the hostility. I love it. Do you want to hop in on the hostility? What were you saying to Hank to make it hostile yesterday? Nothing. I was just... You were just giving him a blanket statement of, hey, buddy, listen, it's going to get hostile. Yeah. Are you nervous at all about that, Hank? No. Memes is not someone you want to have hostile towards you. memes has never not been hostile that's true actually but what if he gets extra hostile i'm not worried about it i won't hear him i won't hear it here's here's what we're doing memes memes is extra hostile like i know memes talks trash about me behind my back 24 7 so this is not there's not like extra hours you can't add on to 24 7 so it doesn't really change anything that is true when we go when when when this side of the desk i walk in all the time and you guys are just sitting around our corner just talking about me when this side of the desk goes at you we're not talking shit when we leave the studio that side of the booth is staying silent and then when we walk out they're like fuck Hank or their mics are just off.
40:28Memes is mumbling under his breath. That's true. We're saying it's your face. Memes you might I say plenty of shit to Hank's face. Can you do me a favor? Can we do yeah you do. Can we do like full immunity okay full immunity. You have full immunity. This is like international waters you cannot be you cannot be charged for any crimes or anything you're going to say i would appreciate if you just took all your thoughts for the next 10 days and wrote them down and then on the friday before the super bowl we could just do a memes log done okay love that just every mean thought you think of and we'll just dump them all out on the friday before super i love it i did think about when you guys went to the car show yesterday just breaking his bleffy clubs that's perfect for the memes log i didn't do it yeah write that down on the memes log things you think any any thought and you cannot be you cannot be held accountable for any of it okay let's do uh let's do that was a simple question of how you feel hank that we've got all the way here okay uh late breaking news i have already left the office but we thought we I had to talk about it because Bill Polian has kept Bill Belichick out of the Hall of Fame as a first ballot Hall of Famer in one of the biggest hater moves of all time.
41:48We don't know who's made the Hall of Fame yet and who hasn't, but the news was that Belichick did not receive the necessary votes. This is a disaster for all Patriots haters. You might think, Bill Polian, you think you've won the battle. You lost the war, buddy, because this is exactly how the next two weeks play out. New England Patriots fans have just deserved cause to feel like it's us against the world. Nobody likes us. And guess what? You can't argue with them about this point. No one believes in the Patriots, Hank. You got your wish. It feels like the Patriots are going to win the Super Bowl off this news.
42:24But this is, it's a travesty. It's mockery. It's a travesty mockery. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, well, go ahead, Hank. What are your thoughts? Me and PFT were doing some research earlier. I need to know because it wasn't obviously it wasn't Bill Pullian was the one lobbying for this, but there was other voters like who are these voters? How are they NFL voters? There's 50 voters in the room. You need 40 out of 50 to become a first ballot Hall of Famer. I said right away, this needs to be televised because whoever like guys got to stand behind their votes and actually stand up there in front of the camera and say this is why I'm not voting.
43:05and yeah, PFD, there's an angle for the Super Bowl, but I think it's obviously the bigger angle is if there's not a, whatever you feel about Bill Belichick, if there's not the definition of a first ballot Hall of Famer, a quintessential Hall of Famer, it's Bill Belichick. The guy has six Super Bowls as a head coach, another, what, two for the Giants, and what it does is Bill Pullian has basically made a joke of the Hall of Fame because the Hall of Fame looks really stupid being like yeah Bill Belichick's not a first ballot Hall of Famer it's like that one guy who voted against Derek Jeter it was the dumbest thing ever when that happened you just basically make a mockery of your entire institution like you'd hate him but you now made made it all look stupid right for what it also makes the Robert Kraft even more blatant where it's like Robert Kraft Jerry Jones is in the Hall of Fame and Robert Kraft has you know way more success in a way more recent time than than Jerry Jones and so Bill Belichick not getting into is like it's clearly just the NFL against the Patriots what what is the day why what is the day of the induction ceremony this year Patriots fans would not August I could not blame them for doing a January 6th at Canton the day before the induction ceremony I actually don't put it past Patriots probably led by people in this very office maybe our return to the NFL's good graces might be short-lived because I would say early August there's going to be a ruckus.
44:29And it's well-deserved. Hank, you could accuse me of hating the Patriots or wishing. I don't hate the Patriots. I think you've had enough success, which is why I root against you in many cases this season. But it's ridiculous that Bill Belichick is not a first ballot Hall of Famer, and it's ridiculous that Bill Polian did this seemingly out of spite that he tried to rally his voices just because he's mad that he was the GM for the Bills and the Colts, and they kicked the shit out of him for years, and he's tried to hold him down for a long time. And we do need to see what the votes are in that room.
45:01Who are these sheep? Like Bill Bullion, yeah, he's a salty whatever, but who are the people that heard what he said and said, you know what, you're right. Yeah. You're right, hey, because it's more than just him, but he obviously is the ringleader. It's crazy, too, because it's the most short-sighted move, I think, in the history of, like, spite moves, because Bill Bullion has united all the sports media behind Bill Belichick. This is like his glow up is now back where everyone's like, this makes no sense. And Bill Pullian, you look like the saltiest. If you had to do one spin zone for Bill Pullian, hater of the year and like waiting this long, that is like a hat tip move.
45:41But other than that, Bill Pullian now looks like a joke and his legacy is a joke. Now, if you found out that Jordan was behind this and she told Bill Pullian to do this against Bill, knowing that there would be backlash against Bill Polian and pro Bill Belichick, I would say PR move of the century for her. Easily. Easily. No Instagram stories from Jordan. Oh, set alerts. Her next Instagram story is going to be a fucking banger. Yeah. Like, I agree, though, Hank. We need to get these names. I don't know why. It's the league that televises everything. We have made the NFL draft an entire circuit, traveling circus.
46:19The combine. We watch guys run around in tight shorts. They have a night to release the schedule in late May. Give us a Hall of Fame vote on television and let us see it. Tell me that wouldn't do great ratings, and it also would be interesting to see everyone state their case because all I understand from the Hall of Fame voting is 50 dudes who sit in a room in a hotel lobby, and they argue back and forth, And like every single person has their own bias and they lay their bias out there and they all just go back and forth. And then we get it spit out in a Schefter tweet saying these guys got in.
46:58These guys did. Yeah, it's the issue is it's the Pro Football Hall of Fame, not the NFL Hall of Fame. So the writers and everybody would have to agree to that. Not like the NFL could, although I'm sure the NFL could say, hey, we need to televise this and probably strong arm them into doing that. they did reach Peter King for comment because he retired from the committee. Peter King walked away from the committee. So he's saying, like, it's not on me because I'm not voting anymore. Peter, you could have stuck around. If you had stuck around, maybe you'd put a stop to this. He said, quote, Holy F dash dash dash.
47:34I'm not sure what word he used. Could have been holy fart. Could have been the other bad F word. Or it could have been fuck. I'm very, very surprised. A lot of things happened in that room. that are unexpected, and of course, this is a big surprise to me. It's ridiculous. If Robert Kraft gets in and Belichick doesn't. I have some breaking moves. Okay, breaking moves. Shadur Sanders was a pro bowler before Bill Belichick became a Hall of Famer. Yep. Cash your tickets. Hungry dog. Breaking moves. That Verderame, I'm going to go with. This is how you pronounce his name. Writes for SI. said I just spoke on the phone with Bill Pollian asked whether he was an influence on Bill Belichick being snubbed by the Hall of Fame that's totally and categorically untrue I voted for him the plot thickens so either Bill Pollian is the biggest coward in the world or there's a deep state plot to undermine Bill Pollian Bill Pollian read that statement again I just spoke on the phone with Bill Pollian and asked whether he was an influence on Bill Belichick being snubbed by the Hall of Fame His quote, that's totally and categorically untrue.
48:45I voted for him. So that was really smart by Bill Pullian. He lobbied against Bill Belichick and then voted for him. He's like, hey, it wasn't me. Or I thought of another possibility. Could this have been led by somebody from Robert Kraft's camp for Kraft to get in and then he pins it on Bill Pullian? Yeah. I don't know. The plot does thicken. We got to get the names. We got to get the names. I want people in that room. This is one of those things, too. Need people in the room. Speak up. Need people in the room. Need people in the room. Hey, anyone who's in the room who wants to anonymously hit up part of my take, Zach, what's your email?
49:31Say it again one more time. That was a mistake. That was a mistake. Zach, we will hit up Zach if you were in the room. Zach will read all the people who hit him up and were in the room on Friday's show. PNTbachelorparty at gmail.com. Okay. PNTbachelorparty at gmail.com. We'll use that email. We'll bleep out Zach's email. Okay. Smart. But we need to know the real story. We will get – Zach will go through all the emails and he will find the people in that room. It's crazy. It also, big picture, it's one of those situations that everyone's going to get really mad about for like 12 hours, and then we're going to forget about it, and then he's going to be in the Hall of Fame next year.
50:14Well, yeah, but this is like an actual piece of damage that you can do to Bill Belichick. Correct. He's not a first ballot. He's such like a football guy, and he cares deeply about things like the Football Hall of Fame, that this is a way that you can hurt him by not making him a first ballot Hall of Famer. So whoever did it, I guess good job in figuring out a way to hurt your nemesis. But be very careful because it does feel like we're all now rooting for Bill Belichick. As you should. That's what I'm saying. As you should. As football guys. The internet has decided the guy who everyone hated forever is now, they're like, hey, he's the victim here, which he is.
50:52I mean, it's crazy. It just, it is, it's the hall of fame should stand as it's, it's our same argument that we make every single year about the baseball hall of fame and Barry bond should be in. It's a joke to have a hall of fame and not have the best baseball player. It's a joke to have a hall of fame and not have the best coach of all time. And like, this is a joke. The hall of fame is a complete joke now. So bill pulling or maybe not bill pulling, um, you fucked it up. We got to find out who's in that room. Hank, you got to get some digging. I'm on it. You are? Yes. Yeah. Okay. What was the hesitation?
51:34I'm just, you know, I'm on it. Hank, what are the odds that the Brady four ride together again, the Belichick four? High. I'd say high. Can I throw out a hypothetical to you, Hank? Yes. Saturday, let's say like 1230. you're at hole eight at spyglass and you get a text and someone says, Hey, I'm a trusted source. I have all the information. Call me right now. It's going to take about 45 minutes to break it all down, but you can report it first. I'm part of my take. Yeah. We'll catch up on. I love to catch up on hole 11. This is, there we go. It's a business trip for Hank. That's fucking huge. Yeah.
52:17So it'll be good for the video, but wait, Hank, but this would be that we're filming, but we're going to be working. So you'd say that you'd stop working on Saturday. I would. And you'd take a personal phone call. Yeah. I would. Bill Belichick and the Patriots, Tom Brady, whatever you want to call it, that goes above work. That's like my family when people are like family comes first. Above your golf family, all the holes. Yes. This is my. So you would throw your kids to the side? I don't have kids. These aren't like. No, your golf holes. Oh, yeah. Yeah. You're the new Mike McDonald. I would kick the kids away.
52:51Yeah. I only see my 13th hole for 30 minutes a week. Yeah. All right. So what's the email again, Max? PMT Bachelor? I think it's PMTBachelorParty.com. Listen, no one said it was easy being journalists. Part of being a journalist is the people who want to anonymously tip us, they have to figure it out. Or you can just DM the part of my take accounts. Yeah. Give us the inside scoop. Tell us who and Zach will give us his findings on Friday's show. And we will keep you anonymous if you wish to remain anonymous. And if you wish to not remain anonymous, we will shout out your Twitter and Instagram handle.
53:31Yep. Found it. What? Yeah, no, I was right. PMTbachelorparty at gmail.com. Nice. What, Hank? Nailed it. Hank, what? It's going to be a lot. It's going to be a lot. Well, we want to know. We're going to get a lot of tips. We're willing to go through all the fake sources and fake tips if it means that we get the good one. This is important journalism. I think we can do it. Hank, you don't seem like you're bought in. Can I give you some advice, Hank? You guys do your thing. I'll do my thing. Okay, what thing are you doing? Our fans just email. Whoever's going through that is going through hell. What thing are you doing?
54:04What, PMTbachelorpartyatgmail.com? Yeah. That's hell. Zach's all over it. That is hell. Zach's a workhorse, dude. That's hell. Zach, look at Zach. Zach, are you ready for this? Journalism's got to journal. Yes. Yep. And listen, listen, I'm going to ask respectfully, don't email the fake scoops. No matter what, if you have a fake scoop, do not email Zach. He's going to get very confused if you do. So please, only 100 % authentic scoops coming through that pipeline. Let me just throw in one more thing. Authentic scoops and titties. That's it. Yep. We will not accept anything else. If you want to send Zach some titties, you can do that.
54:43But authentic scoops as well. Completely fine. Yeah. Hank, you got to put a deadline. You got to put a deadline. Like, they need to make this right by this day. I think they will. I think they're going to have to reverse this. Give them a deadline.
54:58By Monday. It's got to be done before media day. Or else. Yeah. Yeah. Or else. Okay. All right. Let's get back to we're going to do an ad, and then we'll get to Zach's list. Let's do Zach's list, though. Before we do that, DraftKings. Should we do Zach's list? one quick question how you feeling Hank just fucking car crash everything falling apart I'm gonna put this bed in DraftKings get cozy because DraftKings Casino is turning up the heat this winter play more than 1000 slots everything from classics like Cash Eruption to exclusives like Fire Buffalo new players can wager $5 get 500 spins over 10 days on your choice of Cash Eruption slots download the DraftKings Casino app sign up with code take and start spinning the crown is yours in partnership with DraftKings Casino.

56:16featured games only and expire each day after 24 hours see terms at casino.draftkings.com slash promos ends january 25th 2026 at 11 59 p.m eastern time okay so what we're gonna do here zach just to refresh everyone zach lost the picks competition the year-long best bets picks competition he has to do a stream for the awls on our youtube for 36 hours we're gonna We'll probably do it sometime. I would guess if we had to pick a week, it's probably going to be two weeks after the Super Bowl, like the third week in February, somewhere in there. We'll figure out exactly. He's a 36-hour stream. Max has to join him for 18 hours.
57:00He has created a list that I've told him no bad ideas. We will not be judging bad ideas. Max actually did say he said, yes, bad ideas. I will be judging bad ideas. No, I'm going to be supportive. Okay. To be fair, I think that Max is being treated very poorly because he finished in second place, and we never make the second place person do a punishment, and for some reason we're just singling Max out.
57:51That's not true We abolished. You want it to be the NBA where half the league makes the playoffs? Abolished. We abolished it. We abolished it. You want me to use a different word? It was accurate. It was an accurate word. We abolished it. Abolished is a great word. Okay. But I'm going to be supportive. I'm supportive. I'm happy. All right. So Zach's idea is we teased it on Sunday. The first idea was run a 10K inside the booth, which how many times back and forth did we say it was? I think it's about 12 ,000 times back and forth. I love that idea. I might have done the math wrong on that. I love that.
58:25But it's thousands of times back and forth. Your mic's not on. It's a bad idea. No, it's not. No, it's not. It's an early idea. We're one for one. Yeah. This list is so... The streams are so many weeks away. This list is so early. There's going to be some fun ideas, some terrible ideas, and we move from here. We also... You guys can also, like... It can be you do 5K, Max does 5K. Yeah, right. I'll chip in a K. Yeah. Same. I'll do 1K. A lot of K's thrown around. Yeah. I'll do a K Okay It is a little bit We got 3Ks over here The square footage of this I will say Coffee with content Kim What do you got?
59:05The square footage of the booth Is a little smaller than I was writing this list Outside of the studio In my head The booth seemed a little bit bigger When you like stand in here And think about it It is tiny Yeah Okay Well there's no bad ideas And I also want I watched that guy do a 10K On a dishwasher the other day So it's possible Wait, what? It's like a guy on Instagram. That's his whole thing is like running 10Ks. 10K anywhere? He ran a 10K in a toilet. How? Just circling it. Oh, running around it? Yeah. How big is this guy? So that's not on a toilet. He's running around? No, no, no, no. On the seat.
59:40Oh, my God. He was like, I think he did a post ranking the worst ones he had to do, and he was like toilet was the worst because they kept slipping in. Oh, that's incredible. Okay, so Zach, I also think that everyone here who's not Max or Zach, we should all volunteer to maybe do one of these ideas. Because we will help out with the stream. We'll be involved. And who knows, maybe we pivot different ideas and add ideas later. Yeah. Okay. The first one I have on here is Spooky Booth. Max and Zach play with a Ouija board. Okay, that's good. Spooky Booth. I like that. Do you know that we're not doing this stream in the booth?
1:00:21No, he doesn't. We are making you a streaming setup inside of the studio. But Spooky Booth. Spooky Booth. But we're two for two on booth things where the stream is not being held. Spooky Studio does not hit like Spooky Booth. That's just a coincidence. We're making you a setup for your streams going forward, and this is going to be the first one of that, and that is not in this booth. I love Spooky Booth. Okay, I'm just letting you know. Okay. It was booth coincidence. That's on me. We're going to do what? It's a simple booth coincidence. I was also thinking, you know, made me and Max try to be chained together, which is a game to have on Steam.
1:01:01That could be fun. What, you just chain each other together? We're chained. So in the game, you're chained together, and you try to climb this, like, big... You try to... You go from, like, hell to heaven, and you climb just a bunch of structures. Great idea. That's a great idea. I think that could be fun. Yeah. How does the booth come into that one? That one was besides Booth Okay, okay Can we chain you guys together in real life? Yes, we will be chained together until we finish Yes Okay That's entertaining to the viewers, that's good It's called the co-op game from hell So it's really hard? It's pretty difficult Okay It's funny That's a good idea Actually, we talked about the 10K, we'll skip that I got a week one time capsule Me and Max make a couple picks for next week one NFL season and we bury them in the ground, and then week one next year we dig them up.
1:01:50I love it. But there's two lists, so we don't know which list goes in the ground. How do you do that on the stream? Wait, what do you mean there's two lists and you don't know which one goes in the ground? We make two lists of picks, and they get shuffled, so we don't know which list is in the capsule. Are these like futures for next year, or is this week one plays? Because we will not know the schedule. This is an early development. Got it. Just a brain dump. Okay, yeah, yeah. No, I like it. You're good. What if you just pick all your games for next year against a spread? You just say a team.
1:02:22Just whatever. Because I guess whatever their spread is. You make spreads? No, no. Just like you can just be like the Bears week two. Yeah. And whatever their closing line is. Okay. That's what you get. I kind of like that. I kind of like that. Okay. Or like on Thursday when we tape the show. That's the line that we use. Yeah. Well, no. But this is. No. It's like you just. You just. We look at it at the end of the year and it's like whatever their closing line is. See how you did. Okay. Yeah. Okay. This next one is itch golf. It would be the opposite of scratch golf. Max and Zach competing 18 holes on the PlayStation.
1:02:58I think that could be fun. Where's the itch come in? It's the opposite of scratch golf because we're bad golfers. You guys should do... We'd scratch and itch, though. I think there should be an itch. There should be an itch in golf. Yeah, I think there's got to be itching powder in your pants. Yeah. You itching while you're golfing. That wasn't on here. What about Zach WeGolf on the big screen? We got big screen could play as well. There's a couple of different. We got PlayStation big screen. We got the alternate reality golf and with the golf cave. We got a couple of different golf options. Okay.
1:03:26Just a rough idea. Yeah. We're not going to do it like the last time where you guys are locked in a room. You guys can use any space. We're going to make it good for the viewer. We got to figure out something to make you itchy though. Yeah. I think the itch part. We should just play real golf then. They're like in the simulator. Zach and I are the worst golfers in this. But you got to be itchy. You guys should play golf as a scramble until you get a par. They'd get a par. No, we would. Depending on how itchy. I think we're. But that would be. I think the problem. No, birdie, I think, would be.
1:03:59That would be the. I think Zach and Max, though, are kind of losing the whole. We got to figure out the itchy part. The itchy part is scratch golfers are good golfers. We're bad golfers. Right. You got to be itchy. Yeah, we got to do something. Maybe every time we don't get it, we have to put a little bit of itchy powder. Ooh, what about shirts off? Nope. I'm going to stop you right there. I'm going to stop you right there. Just follow me for a second. No, no, no. But it's just shirts off. You guys golf on the simulator. We get a giant feather. So while one of you is hitting, the other one is tickling the other one on the small of the back with the feather.
1:04:35That's tickle golf. It's golf. Oh, that's tickle golf. What about this? I forgot the rules to tickle golf. You guys get a haircut like an hour before, and you don't take your shirt off. You don't take a shower. You'll be itchy by the time you get on. Yeah, no, that does suck. Yeah. Okay. Maybe we wear a lot of Velcro. Yep. Sure. I don't know. Yeah. Okay. I got another one on here. Who's going to carry the balloons? That's running back the balloon up game, but we wear weighted vests to make it a little bit difficult. Love that. So, keepy-uppy, but you have weighted vests on. But we're weighted vests.
1:05:06So, like, after a while, I feel like I could get - Definitely. That's good. That's good. I thought for a second. Would it be vests or would it be the wrist weight? I think, yeah, you could do both, though, because moving around in a weighted vest gets tiring. Yeah. We just weight you guys up. I thought they were talking about wearing weighted vests and having a bunch of helium balloons and then just trying to stay on the ground. Yeah. Like an up. How long do you think you could keep? I don't think a hot air balloon would keep me. If we did a balloon in this studio and one of you was blindfolded, the other one had to tell him when to hit, how long do you think he'd keep it in the air?
1:05:43I actually like that. That could be fun. That could be fun. I can add that one. That would be a good time. Okay. This next one is Sleep Tight Saquon. Max and Zach writing Eagles Bedtime Story. Yes. Could be huge. Yes. Done. I like that one. Sleep Tight Saquon is a great hit. I need it. I need it. Next one's got to play charades Yeah Also Zach has I'm in for that I'm going to hop in on sleep tight Saquon Zach has to write it out without using spell check Yes Max you're an artist right You draw Nope I could Can I have one change on the charades Booth Definitely That feels like a perfect booth activity Booth charades where one of you's in the booth and the other one's out here, so you can't hear them.
1:06:35So it transcends booth because you can see that. Yeah, so you can't cheat. This studio might be set up for charades. Yeah, this might be a perfect charades. We might have built a charades arena without knowing it. I've got a goop, goop, goop on here, which is me and Max playing our creators. Oh, okay. Nice. That's good for the middle of the night. You can slot that in. Yeah, people are going to want to see that. Yeah. So that's 10 hours? Goop, goop, goop. this one's bad we can toss it it's uh it's called a hot brush it's kind of like wine and paint but we drink hops hot sauce wait bad idea what's the wine and paint part a lot of girl a lot of ladies do wine and paint so they paint photo they paint yeah murals and drink wine we would be painting murals and oh it's a bad terrible idea i like that no i like that idea yeah it's like hot ones with art with art and just hot sauce and just drinking hot sauce and no question our shit Maybe we get Sean Evans to stop by.
1:07:34Can I go off of that? What about wine and paint and you guys paint, but the whole time you just whine about shit? Like, oh, my, oh, this fucking stream stinks. I could do that. That would be funny. We abolish second place. This is bullshit. Oh, they're going to get rid of the tush push. They're going to make me take off my shirt for each call. No, they're going to keep the tush push now because the Eagles are bad at it now. Now they're going to keep it. But wine and paint would be good where you just whine the whole time. that could be fun and you get some stuff off your chest you know you kind of just like it's good to vent yeah this next one is karaoke it's a yes sold yeah you don't need to go you don't need to go any further is it can I guess on what it is yeah singing and making eggs uh no oh you're singing yolk yeah I like that I like making eggs though that could be a lot of fun okay that's better than this this is this pales in comparison okay so what is this this is just me and Max do karaoke but as we're trying to sing karaoke, we have to finish a Yoplait yogurt.
1:08:32Oh, okay. Bad idea. No, I love that. Are you eating yogurt while you karaoke? What about you, yo-yo? Ooh. One of you yo-yos, one of you eats the yogurt. Yo squared? What about... You got to get through an entire song keeping the yo-yo alive. While the other person feeds them Yoplait. Triple yo? Yeah, triple yo. These are so much better than 10K that you started. with. No, the 10K is great. We're doing the 10K. Okay, keep going. Max and Zach, checkers rematch. That's personal. I didn't know there was a first game. There was, and Max smoked me, and I want my game back. We also didn't... You guys did like chestnut checkers.
1:09:17There's supposed to be three rows of checkers. We only did two rows of checkers. People also said Zach through the game. I think he... It was early on in Zach, and I think he was beating me, and then all of a sudden I think he lost on purpose He didn't want to big dog you Is it possible to actually play chess against checkers? I don't think so Like one guy gets checkers pieces One guy gets chess pieces I don't think so No because the bishops are on different colors So that wouldn't work And also everything What if you play the goal of the game All parts of it But it would be funny to watch you guys figure that out What if you play chess using the checkers pieces, and then everyone in the chat will be like, it's checkers, and then you guys can be like, it's chess, not checkers.
1:10:07And you have to just announce what you're like. You move it, and you're like, that was my horse. Yeah, I like that. Every piece would just be your queen. Yeah. Okay, we'll figure that one out. This next one is part of my antipast. Max's, I get appetizers. Love it. That was just a lunch break.
1:10:33That's a good one. We should get the slicer going. Yeah, we can do that. We should get the slicer going for it. That's a great one. This next one is Mimoman. We see who can cover themselves in post-it notes quicker. That's great. Okay. Yoga with an instructor. Yeah. Maybe get a little loose, you know. Oh, do you know an instructor? There's got to be tons. Some guys know. Yeah, we got instructors. Okay. Do you have one you could maybe text? Yeah, guys know instructors. Yeah, all sorts of guys know instructors. What was the last text?
1:11:15I don't know. I'd have to check. It's been a while. Are you smarter than a fifth grader, but we go until we graduate high school? Okay. I've got hiring a drill instructor for boot camp, but it's memes. Oh, like that. Max and Zach compete in cup stacking. Okay. Puff Man, so you can complete a Pac-Man maze quicker, but it's cheese puffs. Wait, talk me through that one real quick. You duct tape a small maze on the ground. And then you eat it yourself? You try to Pac-Man it. Oh, I love that. That one's tough, but it could be fun. You guys are Pac-Man. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Love that. This next one is Sassy Lego So we're gonna try to build a Lego set with acrylic nails on That's gotta be done Sassy Lego Sassy Lego is good Sassy Lego I like a lot That's a winner I might sign up for Sassy Lego with the boys Oh fuck Maybe a Breaking the World record for most t-shirts worn at once Okay That's gotta be crazy We would need some big t-shirts.
1:12:21And it's also like, I bet you that record is like 800 or something. And it has to be from a very small person. Final boss is just grab one of Colton shirts. Yeah. We do know a guy with the biggest shirt. We do. He has the biggest shirts. We've got a... What's that? My bad, I skipped. This one is called Silent Socks. While blindfolded, you have to put on a sock filled with something. And guess what it is? That's a great idea. I like that one. I can tell whether or not these ideas are good or not just by the names. Yeah. Zach's got some banger names. Hank? I don't have the name for it, and I also don't know how that would work visually on the stream, but I've always had a competition idea of trying to plug in something in the darkness.
1:13:09Ooh. I like that. I also, this silence sucks. Like you're in a dark room, and whoever preface it. How would that look visually? Yeah, I did preface it with that. Yeah, but you can just blindfold. We usually be blind. True. Yeah, true. Glow stakes. I also do you guys ever watch the videos of it's like Chinese guys in a room together and they have the rubber ducks taped to their feet and one of them is blindfolded and has a belt. And if you move, they whip each other. We should play around to that. Okay. That I think we should all do because it is very funny. So like everyone's just silently like crouching.
1:13:46and then if you move a little bit, the duck goes, and then he just turns around and tries to whip you. Okay. I like the socks idea, though. That's a winner. Yeah, for sure. I've only got two more on here. Last couple. One of them is just giving the pimp mats a real attempt, just trying to really become more aligned, zen, relaxed. Okay, the mats, yeah. And then the last one is brisket boys, which would just be everybody enjoying brisket sandwiches. Love that. Okay, brisket boys might be the conclusion of the whole stream. Yeah, well, the antiposte, yeah, that goes. Yeah, no, but the last hour being brisket boys, we all join, and we just do brisket boys.
1:14:25So hopefully we can build from there, but a couple could play. Is that your big brisket fan? Yeah, I would say so. Ooh, Max, what if you smoke some meats? You have a lot of time. You could start the brisket when the stream starts. So the end of the stream is brisket boys. I could try and do that. That could be fun. That would be really fun. Bread. I could bring in Chef Diesel. The bread boys could make some bread and some briskets. Yeah. Brisket sandwiches. That would be good. Sounds like a great stream. I'm excited. I'm glad that Max agreed to do second place. Yeah, no. I'm excited. I'm excited.
1:15:01I think the people will like it. It'll be good. It's going to be great. And like I said, I'm already signed up for... I gave you a K. So I'm in for a K. And I'm definitely in for Sassy Legos. Awesome. It should be a good time. Legos. When was the last time you guys Lego'd? They're sneaky hard. They are. Fully equipped. I do it with my son sometimes. He asks me for help, and I'm just like, I don't think I got it. I'm excited about Puffman. What was Puffman again? Pac-Man. Oh, yeah. We called something Puff Daddy, maybe. And also Itchy Golf with you guys having your shirts off. We're going to workshop that one.
1:15:40We'll workshop it. But yeah. Huge, gigantic feather. oversized feather as you swing. This is great that you did this, Zach, because now for all the people that need to know of the tech and everything, we're just going to send him what you said. Figure this out. Yeah, figure this out. How can we do all of this? Decipher this. Okay, let's do Hot Seat Cool Throne. Then we have DeAndre Hopkins on the show, and we'll finish off with FAQ's Hot Seat Cool Throne is brought to you by Pizza Hut. Big games this weekend, and here's the move. The big New Yorker. It's Pizza Hut's biggest pizza for the biggest games.
1:16:15The Big New Yorker is massive, and it's just$10. Order The Big New Yorker ahead of the game,$10 for a limited time. Don't forget to pizza before the hut at pizzahut.com or in the app. Listen, we all know, weekends, Pizza Hut, Big New Yorker, big games, pizzahut.com. Go order it right now, pizzahut.com or in the app. Hank, what's your hut seat, Cool Trone? See, it was Alex Honnold. I think it's more just pocket watchers. Okay. Because people are mad or upset, surprised that Alex Honnold only got paid 500K for doing his climb. But there was... Because, I don't know. I think they see Jake Paul gets like 100 million.
1:17:01It was a big event. Everyone was talking about it. He probably could have gotten more. but in an article he said, I think it's just Alex Honnold, this is just how he is, he said, like, I would have done it for free. If the building let me, I would have done it for free. Right. He doesn't seem like a guy who's got a ton of expenses. No. Yeah. And, yeah, definitely it was a huge event. It was probably one of the most talked about things of the weekend besides, you know, the playoffs. Probably had hundreds of millions of viewers, but that's just how he is. Like that's it again. And it's like, he would have, he said, it's tough to negotiate when you're like, they probably went to the tables.
1:17:40Like, can I do this? They're like, yeah, we can get you the clearance. He's like, okay, what would it take for you? He's like, Oh, I'm getting paid. What would it take for you to attempt this? Also other hot seat would be there. There, there's a couple of videos I saw. Cause I, you know, I was watching videos that got on my algorithm and there was, there's videos of now people in Taiwan, like starting to try to do it on that tower. Bad idea. Very bad idea. But no one can make it. No one can make it one story. I guess the only argument that you can make against Alex Honnold would be other people that do free solo.
1:18:11He's kind of set the market right now for all their attempts. I don't think people shouldn't be free soloing. Agreed. No, agreed. I have a question, though. If he slipped and died, would they have kept it live? No, they had a 10-second delay. Okay, so then I'm out on this whole thing. It's like the Walendas. And I know that's very fucked up of me, but I also can't watch something without knowing there's actually a fear or a world where someone could die. Counterpoint. Yeah. That would have been nuts. If you're watching live and it just cuts out, it's like, oh, my God, something just happened. Yeah.
1:18:46Then there would be videos that came out. There would be videos. You're right. You would still get that, like, holy shit, something just happened. You're right. It should have been$500 ,000 if you make it and then, like, $3 million if you die. Ghost your family. Then you could just slip. if he wanted to. But he obviously wasn't trying to die. It would have been very funny if he had started it and gone up like 10 feet and then intentionally slipped off and been like, oops, and fell to the ground and be like, okay, let's try this again. Let's try this again. Yeah, I don't know. It's the same thing as the Willendez.
1:19:19I got out on the Willendez stream because I was like, they're not going to show if he falls. And I know that's fucked up, but isn't that the whole idea? That was the tightrope walking? Yeah. Isn't the whole idea of watching it is like he could fall and you could see this. Yeah, I mean, it makes me uncomfortable just talking about this thing. I'm not rooting for default, but the idea of it is for the viewer. I still think you would get that effect, though. You would, maybe. And then you would have the choice of whether you wanted to watch it or not because you know that it would be everywhere on X.com, the Everything app, because it is all happening on X.
1:19:52It's all happening. Yeah, especially snuff films. They don't want to watch. I just recently, I don't know what happened. Head videos? I just got back into the... Wait, what? Ukrainian drone strikes on personal drone strikes on Russians. Not good. That just got back in my feed. I saw like five of them. Not good. What kind of head videos we talked about? Good head video. Oh, yeah. I was watching an all 22 video and then it autoplayed a head video and then I scrolled up and up and it was like four in a row. Yeah, Fasoli's video got in the porn algorithm. Yes, I was just about to say that. I was watching the Fasoli video and like out loud at my desk and Zach was right next to me just immediately after just middle of deep, deep penetration.
1:20:31And it was like, that makes sense. Twitter thinks this is born. Fasoli has always said that if he was a hot chick, he would do OnlyFans. On the record. He's always been on the record. If everything about him was different, he would make a lot of money on OnlyFans. Okay. Cool term? My cool term is PFT. Oh, why is that? You're taller than Diego Pavia by one eighth of an inch. Let's go. Love that. How tall is he? He's five nine and seven eighths. Hell yeah. He was listed as six feet on the Vanderbilt media guides. He was, yeah. You should do that for the combine, official height listings. People would.
1:21:10I like that idea. Some people would be very upset. Very, very upset. Yeah. What do you mean official height? Oh, for the Barstool combine. Yeah. Listen, I'd like to get ahead of the story. I'm also 5 '9", like Diego Pavia. And 7 '8"? And how many eighths? I have not measured my eighths. I thought you were perfectly average height. Yeah, that is average globally. I thought 5 '10 was average. No, no, globally 5 '9". It might even be 5 '8". That's the average height worldwide. I haven't... You never take out Asia. What if you take out the NFC West? Yeah, right. We're doing the Hank. Yeah, we never do that.
1:21:42We take all the shortest countries out. When we say globally, we mean globally, right? So 5 '9", yeah. A lot of great people in history have been 5 '9". A lot of bad people, too. A lot are actually... More bad. The worst people ever, I think, have been 5 '9". Diego Pavia. Yeah, but Hitler was six feet in his media guide. In media guide, yeah. Yeah. That's what Goebbels put out. Propaganda. Max just Googled Hitler height. Yeah. 5 '9". Look up, what was Mussolini's height? What was he weighing? He was a thick boy. Yeah, he was. Bad BMI for Mussolini. Mussolini only 5 '7". Stalin. Stalin was 5 '5".
1:22:24Oh, even shorter. Short boy. What about Genghis Khan? Genghis Khan. Shockingly, there's no definitive historical record. Really? Oh. Okay. Most estimates are between 5 '6 and 5 '8". Hoss, though. Absolute hoss. Big time hoss. He was a hoss. Okay. What about Kevin Petullo? Kevin Petullo. what's your hot seat pft oh he's big boy 6-2 uh my hot seat is our good friend sam schwartstein yeah it's back on the hot seat it feels like every six months there's a uh there's a personal attack made against sam schwartstein by the president of the united states and he had the most personal one against sam yesterday he he posted on truth social i can't watch the new nfl kickoff like many others i just turned my head who has the right to make such a change directly aimed at sam schwarzstein so just so disparaging to the game the original was big time big time strong glamorous and exciting he's right donald trump is right the former kickoff was big time that was a big time play i liked the new kickoff but yes it was a big time it was a big time play i started to think about other things that are big time in sports slam dunks slam dunks are big time big time heavyweight bouts are big time big time penalty shots in any sport that's big time big time the final round of the u.s open that's big time that's very big time any any other big times hank master sunday big time yeah or his moving day big time i'd say i'd say bombing one down the fairways big time like the first tee that's a big time the first tee at the masters is big time.
1:24:08Big time. Pro Bowl? Big time. Big time. Big time. Used to be big time. Who has the right to change the Pro Bowl? Yeah. Brian Dable hired his offensive coordinator for the Titans. So there we go. Okay. Everything is... The dominoes are falling. They are. Feels like... I guess he's still opened up. He's still... The contingency of not getting the Raiders. Not getting the Raiders. What is this new thing guys are doing? They keep doing this. Yeah. Yeah. I think Clint Kubiak's going to be the Raiders coach, right? After the Super Bowl? Could be. Seems like that's probably what they're waiting for. Have the Cardinals interviewed anyone?
1:24:47I feel like that's one I haven't heard anything about. To be honest, I forgot about the Cardinals. Yeah. Michael LaFleur interviewed. Okay. So they've interviewed someone. Michael LaFleur. Okay. There has been an interview. Good for the Cardinals. All right. Max, you interviewed Brian Dable, right? Sure did. Didn't want to come. Why not? I'm not in the room.
1:25:17My cool throne was going to be Diego Pavia. Yeah. I guess my other cool throne was 80 for Brady because they're going to have to make another 80 for Drakey. Are we going to get another movie, Hank? I don't know. They should. Depends on if four women make that trek. Yeah, they should. But yeah, Diego Pavia was my cool throne. That is, it's a big difference between being 5 '9 and being 6 feet. Trust me. It's a massive difference. Massive. What about 5 '9 and 5 '10? Not that big of a difference. Even I'd say 5 '8 and 5 '10, pretty much the same height. Yeah. Okay, my hot seat is, I don't even, like, Victoria's Secret.
1:25:57I don't know who else sells lingerie because Sidney Sweeney's getting into the bra game and it's over. It's a wrap. Yeah. Probably the most no doubt. It's similar to when we started selling cheesesteaks. Like, duh. Why wouldn't you do that? Sydney Sweeney selling bras in. For all sizes? All sizes. Love that. Love that very much for her. I might buy one. Is that creepy? This is an amazing advertisement. I might buy one for myself. Can we show more of these? The Sydney Sweeney bra is going to crush. Guaranteed. I think she's going to tap into... Dudes are going to buy these bras just because... I just said I'm buying one for myself.
1:26:37Because Sidney Sweeney. Yeah. No, I want to buy one. I want to look at it. I know that's fucked up and perverted, but I don't care. Call me a fucked up pervert. Damn. Nipples. If she personally tried on every bra... Jim Schwartz would get one. How much would they go for? I don't know. I don't want to answer that one. I do not want to answer that one. Was that a bonk? Yeah. It's a fact. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, so Sydney Sweeney-Braz, she's going to do well. Congrats to Sydney Sweeney becoming a billionaire. Yeah. My cool throne is Benny the Bull. All-time respect move. Benny the Bull has announced he's going to retire his number, number one, now that Derrick Rose's number one has been retired in the rafters.
1:27:21That's classic. That's so classic. That's big time. Like, that's a big-time move. Yeah. Credit to Benny the Bull. Why did Derrick Rose have to negotiate to get number one from Benny the Bull when he became a Chicago Bull? I think they wore him at the same time, but he's saying, hey, you know what? My time has passed. Because that is an all-class move for Benny the Bull. If Derrick Rose came in, took his number, then retired, and then Benny says, you know what? You earned it. You get to keep it for forever. Yeah. So what's Benny going to wear? I don't know. Mikey Betts are... 23? He said 99, 77, or 42 would look great.
1:27:5442 is so fire, though. So got to keep it open for future superstar in 2046. Okay. So the Reinsdorf's definitely going to do a Betty the Bull retirement night. I think 50 would be good on a bull, right? 50 would be good. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Zach, your hot seat, cool throne. My hot seat. Max is just looking at Sidney Sweeney pictures now, and it's just like, dude, stop. It's hard to podcast. You, whoever brought this up. I did, but that's because it's in the news. Yeah. Now my job is to bring the news to you guys. Zach, do you remember my hypothetical I threw out to you last week? What was the hypothetical?
1:28:34About if Sydney Sweeney ever came in the office to do an interview on PMT? Oh, yeah. Trying to help support. Yeah. If Sydney Sweeney came into this office and did PMT and she was like, hey, I forgot to wear a bra today. Do you guys have a pair of hands that could just support me during this interview? And Zach had to do that. would he do it? And he got very uncomfortable. He'd be a gentleman. Anything for the team. He would do it. Maxine, you go back to the dress that she wore. Ironically, maybe the most iconic picture of Sidney Sweeney is not involving a bra whatsoever. No, the other dress. Further up.
1:29:09Further up. You know the dress. The best dress ever worn by anybody. The best dress of all time. That, yeah. Let's see. That dress, I don't think has bras. I'm going to say. Although I don't understand. Sometimes women wear bras and they're like, I'm not wearing a bra, but I am wearing a bra. I don't get it. I don't get any of this shit. I'm going to say it. I don't think she should get into the bra business. No, because when you put on the bras. The bra is for thee, but not for me. No, it was just one dress. She wears bras. But I don't think that we should encourage. Just go back to the dress again.
1:29:38We don't eat a cheesesteak every meal. That is true. Yeah. It's a good dress. It's a good dress. All right, Zach, go ahead. My hot tea this week is going to be a former Olympic snowboarder, Ryan Wedding. Love this story. You see what's going on there? Yeah. I love this story. Yeah, Nazis. He's the new El Chapo. Yeah, FBI saying like modern day El Chapo, yeah. They're saying like roughly estimated 60 tons of cocaine traffic a year. For an Olympic skiboarder? A Canadian former Olympic snowboarder. In like the early 2000s. That's awesome. And switched to trafficking drugs for the cartel. Pablo S.
1:30:16That's awesome. Pablo S. Snowbar. There's conflicting reports that he turned himself in at the Mexican embassy. He did turn himself in. Then I saw a statement where the lawyer is saying that he didn't surrender and that he was apprehended, so I'm not sure which one it is. There's people going back and forth on that. I'm on his side. Well, he was a badass snowboarder, and then he's like, you know what, more badass, I'll be a drug runner. He also murdered a bunch of people. Oh, not cool. That's totally not chill. That's actually not chill for a snowboarder. No, he needs to chill out a little bit.
1:30:51Snowboarders shouldn't be doing that. That's not chill. Disavow murder. If you're in the cartel, that's just the cost of doing business. That is true. It is the cost of doing business. Okay. And then my cool seat this week was going to be - Get Sidney Sweeney off the screen. It's distracting. You brought it up. But you kept it. Thank you. We also brought up Fasoli, and you haven't shown that video on repeat over and over. Yeah. Okay. Go ahead. My cool throw this week was going to be ice cream enjoyers. I don't know if you guys seen. Ice cream might save the planet. Yes. Like the healthy fats in ice cream can protect you against so many things.
1:31:30Uh-huh. Ice cream is actually the healthiest thing you can eat. That's what they said. Lipid lowering, fat burning, cancer reducing. What are our thoughts on those things? Love it. With ice cream. I hate lipids. I fucking hate lipids. Get them gone. Scoop up. I'm going to eat some ice cream. Does it matter what kind of ice cream? Soft serve, traditional. As long as you got those healthy fats in there, PFT. Like your method of consumption, man. You got to get those healthy fats. Where are we seeing this? Some report. I was seeing it on the Everything app, but it also has, there's some journals in the, if you check out the thread intensively, there's accredited colleges being like, hey, look at this study.
1:32:09This study goes crazy. And we're talking about colleges that aren't easy to get into. Yeah. Maybe some Ivy Leagues talking cream. Shout out Dalton. This guy's name. 50 % reduction in diabetes once serving a day. I believe it. Okay. Good job, Zach. Let's get to our interview with DeAndre Hopkins. Before we get to D-Hop, before we get to Nuke, he's brought to you by Campbell's. What are you boys craving this NFL season? You know what I'm craving? I'm craving soup. It's soup season. 1:35:05I've had some thoughts, of course. A lot of thoughts. A lot of thoughts. But, you know, I mean, I love Lamar. I love Derek. Loves A. Flowers. So who knows, man? But, you know, they have a new head coach, which will bring on a new offense coordinator. And, you know, let's see if, you know, let's see. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, the hands are still there. I don't think those are ever going to go away. Do the hands feel as good as they've ever been? Oh, man, I think even better, man. Oh, even better? Get better with age? Yeah. You know, it depends, man. You know, I learned a couple little tricks to the trade, you know, as I got older, man, how to keep these things up to par.
1:35:46Yeah, I mean, you're a lot of fun to watch. I always root for you when you're playing because you do still have that ability where you can catch anything that's nearby, which is great to see. I'm always curious to know, you're in Baltimore this past season. What's Lamar like as a person? Is he a main reason that attracted you to Baltimore? And if so, what's that relationship been like as it's grown? Oh, yeah. I mean, Lamar, I think, is the sole reason I went to Baltimore. I mean, I don't think I could have, after playing with Pat, went many places. I think that was the first option. Lamar is dope, man.
1:36:21Lamar is cool. He's the player in the locker room that talks to everyone. He's the quarterback that goes around, talks to the rookies. talks to the equipment staff, talks to everyone in the building Lamar talks to and loves him, and he loves them. So, you know, Lamar, man, you know, he's a guy that if you know him, you know he loves to talk and he loves to joke. You know, he's just like a down-to-earth cool dude about his religion, about football, that's it. Yeah, obviously the ending of the season wasn't great with the Week 18 game. How long, just curious, like how long does it take to mentally flush that out?
1:36:59Or is it still kind of fresh in your head? Honestly, man, that shit is still fresh in my head. You know, it really is. Just to know that we could have been in the playoffs and the team that we had. I feel like everyone knew that if we got in the playoffs, then, you know, this is a team to watch out for. And we felt that as well. Kind of how we started off and how we ramped up towards the end of the year. So it still sucks just knowing that we built that momentum starting off 1-5 to be in the playoffs and be that close. So, yeah, man, it's tough. Yeah. Speaking of the playoffs, too, your former coach, Mike Vrabel, I know you were only there for a year with him, but he's in the Super Bowl.
1:37:42What is it about Coach Vrabel? Because the turnaround is insane. They lost so many games last year. Now they're in the Super Bowl. What does he do that's different than other coaches that has the Patriots back in the Super Bowl? Right. I mean, I would say what he does different than other coaches is he's – I mean, some coaches, I'm not going to say he's different than every other coach. But what separates him is just how relatable he is to players. He played ball. And not a lot of coaches I can say were actually out there in the field playing ball. But Vrabel knows football. He'll get down in the dirt with you.
1:38:21He'll block you. He'll try to run around on you at practice. He'll put his hands on you. And so, you know, I run a lot of coaches that will actually get down in the dirt and put on the pads and meet you right there on the field. But I was in Houston with Brayville also. That's right. Brayville was in Houston and, you know, then later my head coach. So Brayville and I have a long history and a long relationship. He's like a father figure to me off the field, man. Yeah. Did you notice at all that his strength is – is his strength still the same from when you were in Houston with him to Tennessee?
1:38:57Because we know him fairly well, and every time we see him, like he'll give you like a slap on the back or a shake and just like kind of break your hand and you're like, dude, just chill out a little bit. Yeah, no, I think Brable's strength is still there. He works out all the time, man. He thinks he's a player a little bit. You know, if you ask him, he probably think he can go out there and still catch a touchdown. But, no, Brable works out still. That's my guy. Yeah, are you saying Andy Reid never did that? He never tried to light you up in practice? I mean, you know, with his eyes, with his eyes.
1:39:31Just piercing through you when you don't do something right. Yeah, so I got a question about the Ravens. So you signed with the Ravens March 13th, 2025, and you have to learn about the rivalry with Pittsburgh. You have to become a part of that lore, part of that history. How long did it take you to actually hate the Pittsburgh Steelers? It didn't take me long, especially once we started off 1-5. I was like, I hope Pittsburgh loses every game. Yeah, that makes sense. No, but especially towards the end of the year where we needed Pittsburgh to lose a couple games for us to, you know, have that advantage and win a division.
1:40:10But obviously, you know, that wasn't the case. So, you know, I would say I've always been a fan of Mike and, you know, a ride. So, you know, for me, it was kind of hard for me to be like, man, just fuck Pittsburgh because I love the players and some of the coaches over there. But towards the end of the year when we needed Pittsburgh to lose some games, I was definitely like, man, yeah, let's go Dolphins. Come on. Let's go. It's kind of bullshit that they brought the priest out to bless that side of the end zone where you guys ended up missing the kick, isn't it? Like, that's not fair. Oh, man, I hope that gets investigated.
1:40:45That guy never needs to come to a Pittsburgh game again, man. Yeah, I don't understand that. But, you know, Lupa obviously missed the kick, man. But, you know, there are a lot of things that went into that, man. You know, he's a rookie, man. You got to take it easy on the guy. Yeah, he'll be okay. Speaking of coaches, your coach in college, Dabo Sweeney, now you helped build Clemson because obviously they go on to win national championships. It's now – actually, let's start here. How are you feeling about Clemson watching that offense the last couple of years? Because I feel like it's not been great.
1:41:19Man, you know, I'll be honest. I grew up in Clemson, so I can say this, but it's been horrible. It's been terrible. I'm happy that they got back to the basics, bringing Chad Morris back in, the guy who evolved Clemson offense to where we were averaging 30, 35 points. They brought Chad Morris back this year, if you guys didn't know that. So I'm happy that we kind of got back to the basics and that kind of offense. But it's been terrible, man. It's horrible. Yeah, so Dabo, when he's recruiting you and he's bringing you on and you're three years with him, what is he different as a coach? Because we all see the outside, and Dabo, he can be a little corny, but he obviously gets guys to play hard for him.
1:42:03So what was that whole process like with him? Dabo demands the best out of you. Obviously, as you see, the corny jokes, as some of y 'all say, you know the funny country stuff you know that Dabo says and does but Dabo legit pushes everyone to be the best and he's a coach that will he's a religious man but on Saturdays all that goes out the window you know Dabo will curse you out like the old Alabama football coaches and you know that this is who he is you know he's that guy Yeah. You know, he will hit you with every curse word he can, but you know he loves you. Do you think it's a little weird that he runs down the hill first before the team?
1:42:53I like that. I like that. I think he does that to make sure he still has it. Okay. Because every now and then we're like, hey dude, just wait for the team. I mean, when you were on the team, did anyone ever fall down the hill? Oh man, a guy actually broke his leg and I think after I left there, someone else did something also. So, yeah, a guy basically just, like, fucked up his whole knee, man. Oh, my God. Yeah, messed up his whole knee, man. Did he have to get carted off the hill? Like, what happened? I think they trucked. Yeah, he definitely got carted off the hill. Well, they carried him off the hill.
1:43:29Yeah, he was in bad shape. I think he was a walk-on, man. Oh, that's brutal. Yeah. I mean, if it was the NFL, he might have got a settlement. Yeah. You can't be getting carted off the field as a walk-on, though. You got to find a way to just get off the field. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it was bad. And I'm pretty sure his girl was probably over there like, damn. That's tough. You almost have to take reps of that in practice before you do it live. And that's like, that's basically, if he's not playing, going down the hill is everything. That's your whole Saturday. Yeah. You just got to get down the hill without blowing out your knee.
1:44:03Come on, man. That's the reason he came to Clemson, man. And, you know, unfortunately it got cut short. Yeah, I got a couple questions about your career and time spent with the Houston Texans. First of all, I do a podcast with Arian Foster, and whenever I ask him who the best player that he's ever played with was, he always says it was Andre Johnson, that he's the best that he's ever seen do it. So you come to the league, and Andre's right there on the team. What was that like getting to play with him and watching him work close up? Oh, man, shit was crazy. seeing Andre as big as he was, I was like, damn, how's somebody this big this fast?
1:44:39You know, that was my first take. I come from college where everybody's, you know, we're in the 200. We're trying to hit 200 pounds. But then I get to the NFL and I see a 220-pound receiver running a 4 '5", 4 '4", at that age. I'm like, damn, am I meant for this? Just because physically Andre is a specimen. But, man, seeing him work, the dude never took off practice. He never missed reps unless he was actually hurt. He was competitive. So, you know, it was dope. But Andre was my biggest critic. You know, I would go out there and have like a catch on the sideline. I would have one foot in, one foot out.
1:45:16And obviously that's not good. You know, coming from college as a rookie, I'm like, shit, you know, I'm thinking I'm doing something. Andre's like, man, what the fuck are you doing, man? That's not good enough. Like, you got to have two feet in. He was like, if you want to play in this league, like, you got to learn this. And he would make me breath that after practice. He would make me go out and do stuff. and I'm like, damn, like, shit, man. I thought I had a receiver coach, you know. I'm like, damn, I got two, you know. But it was dope, man. It was funny. He made me a better player. Yeah. And then second question about time with the Texans.
1:45:46You had a lot of great highlights there. Just a walking highlight reel. Maybe your best catch that you ever made ended up not counting. We always talk about, like, the greatest plays that you forget because they didn't count. I think it might be you. I think you might have the best catch in NFL history that did not count. It was against the Dolphins. and can you walk us through that play because i love going back and watching it yeah man i would walk you through that play and i would tell you later that that ref apologized because he knew that wasn't a pass interference good nice which is which is messed up because that was a crazy catch and from that angle i could kind of see how he thought but you know when you do things sometimes so spectacular on the field the ref just really don't doesn't comprehend it like this is a spectacular catch this person didn't do anything to to alter the other person and it was one of those where Deshaun and I knew that he was coming to me it was no matter what I was like Deshaun throw this ball however and he threw it and gave me a chance so I knew it was going to be in a certain position and the defender was he beat me towards the route and I knew it was a back shoulder So I kind of caught it with my left.
1:46:58And as I was falling, brung it through my legs. Yeah. And somehow I got called for a pass interference. Yeah. I'm watching it right now. It's bullshit. That wasn't pass interference. Did you have a moment where you thought, like, before you saw the flag, you're like, yeah, I just did that shit. That's the best catch that's ever happened. Yeah, I did. I did. I was saying, I was like, what? Like, I'm like, man, this, oh, yeah, this is shit. To myself, I was like, how the fuck did I catch it? But, you know, when you're in that moment and you're playing, you know, you're just taking it in. But once I saw the flag, I definitely almost wanted to pick that flag up and throw it back at the ref.
1:47:36It sounds like you got like the ref basically saying you're too good for me to be able to officiate this properly. Like, that's really what it sounds like is you're you made such an incredible play. The ref was like, there's no way this can't be a penalty. I have to throw something. Yeah, basically. And, you know, I think as the game evolves, maybe they'll start challenging referee calls. Who knows? Yeah. I mean, on one hand, it's good that he apologized, that he said, like, hey, I'm sorry I blew that call. On the second, that almost makes it worse, where it's like, okay, yeah, I already know you screwed up.
1:48:09Yeah, like, I knew it. And I think their sideline knew it, too, because their whole sideline was like, oh, shit. Yeah, I know. Usually the sideline, if they think it's a PPI, they're like, push off, push off. but they were just like, damn. But now it lives forever being the best catch that never counted. I think it should be, yeah. So that's even better almost in a weird way. Now that we're removed from it, we'll be like, hey, that's the number one catch that never counted. Yep. So playing in the Texans, Cardinals, Titans, Chiefs, Ravens, can you name all the quarterbacks that threw you a touchdown?
1:48:47I think there's 15. A lot of Texans. All right. Is that like tied for the most? I'm not sure. I don't know if it's tied for the most, but it's a lot. Like I was looking at the list. It's a lot. It's also some very funny names. Matt Schaub, Case Keenum, Deshaun Watson, Kyler Murray, Lamar Jackson, Pat, Brock Osweiler. Yep. Five.
1:49:17Matt Schaub. Did I say Matt? Yeah, you said Matt Schaub. Okay, did I say Case Kingdom? Did you put Case on that already? Yeah, I think you said Case. You're going to struggle with some of these. Ooh, ooh, ooh. Will Levis. Yep. I don't know if you said Deshaun Watson, so that's your number one. Okay, Deshaun. Will Levis, Deshaun Watson. You're missing some legends. Brian Hoyer. Yep. In our eyes, legends, I should clarify. All right, all right, all right. Oh, man, my guy from Pittsburgh. freak uh come on i'm blanking you got this shoot where were we here we like seven that's it we're like nine ish i i know the names that you're missing okay it's all texans right now uh actually one one titan you're missing but oh the rest are texans oh um
1:50:13ryan obviously ryan tannell this is my favorite list of like just guys that it's it's basically the ultimate remembering dudes. I'll give you a couple. Ready? You forgot TJ Yates. Yates of hell. Oh man, come on. You caught seven from him. Ryan Mallett, RIP. Tom Savage is who I think you were looking for. Tom, Tom, Tom. Tom Savage. And then the last one is you caught a touchdown pass from Brandon Whedon. Seriously? Yeah. Wow.
1:50:48You know what? I think the Brandon Whedon story, if I'm not mistaken, it might have been against the Titans. But I think Brandon Whedon threw me the ball back-to-back. If I'm not mistaken, it was against the Titans, and it was a go ball in the red zone. I caught the first, and then the ref called a penalty. Brandon goes, I'm throwing it to you again. Just don't push off. And it's touchdown. When you got backup quarterbacks, sometimes it's the best because they're just like, look, fuck the play. Just get open. I'm going to eat it. That's – Yeah, you were probably a backup quarterback's best friend for that reason.
1:51:27Yeah. Yeah, I'm watching right now. You're exactly right. It was against the Titans. He threw you like a 60-yard go ball to get down to the 15-yard line. And then he's just like, I'm spamming it. I'm throwing it again. Like, be ready. Just back-to-back in. And the offensive coordinator at the time was George Gossie, who just went to Georgia Tech as the offensive coordinator. I was with him in Baltimore, and George Goss, he would tell the quarterbacks, if Hop is one-on-one or if there's two people on him, throw him the ball. I feel like they probably were like, also, if there's three people, maybe throw him the ball as well.
1:52:03Yeah, exactly. You had a couple. I think there was one in Arizona where it was like three-on-one, and you just jumped up in the air and grabbed and just looked at all three of them. You were like, why are you guys even trying? Yeah. Yeah, that was against the Bills. I'm not yeah that was against the Bills I've had some great catches against the Bills last year my first touchdown catch last year was against it my first catch was against the Bills last year that's gotta be a good feeling so the speaking of the Super Bowl obviously didn't go your way last year but what was it in like Super Bowl week did it feel very different did the game you know starting the game being in that moment how could you describe it versus just like a week 15 game oh yeah it's It's a big difference.
1:52:46Obviously, you go outside and you see the whole street is paraded with all NFL stuff. But I would say those guys have been there before two years back to back. They won. So I would say the whole staff, the whole organization knew what to do. Obviously, there's a couple guys on the team who are new to it first time like myself. But I would say it felt like a regular week, just, you know, the streets, just going outside. Everything is Super Bowl, this, Super Bowl, that. And, you know, I think I thought it was kind of interesting how half the hotel is fans and half the hotel is us, you know. So, you know, I'm thinking like, all right, we're going to go somewhere separate, be far out and come in.
1:53:30But we were like right in the middle of it in New Orleans, which I thought was cool, too, because, you know, the fans could see us walking throughout the hotel. and places like that. But, yeah, man, it was cool. You know, you got Pat Mahomes, obviously, who is the leader of the team and made sure everybody was ready to go. But, you know, we faced a fairly team who was hungry, man, and, you know, you saw the results. Yeah, and I love the story about wearing the coat for your dad. Can you tell that? For the Super Bowl you're wearing, was it a mink coat? Yeah, it was a mink coat that my dad had in the 90s.
1:54:06He passed away in 1992, so, you know, 1993. But it was just, you know, just a jacket that was passed down from him to me. You know, I was like, man, if I ever get a chance to play in the Super Bowl or a special moment, you know, I want to wear this jacket, you know, just to kind of, you know, give honor to my dad. But, yeah, even though we lost, I still think it was cool that I got, you know, a chance to play in the Super Bowl. Yeah, that and giving every touchdown ball to your mom. It's really cool. I hope that she has the Brandon Whedon one in a special place. Man, she might. I don't know if she has it out.
1:54:44It might be in storage somewhere, but she has it. We got to get the Brandon Whedon ball in a real nice spot. Yeah, seriously, man, seriously. Someone has that ball and shit. Yeah. Hey, when you were playing for the Texans, you guys were a good team, and the playoffs come around every year. Did you even check the schedule, or you're like, we know we're playing Saturday afternoon? Yeah, I never checked this guy. I knew he was playing Saturday. It was definitely one of those where it was tough, man, for us to get that first round by. Yeah. You got to think, I mean, back then it was AFC. It was the Patriots, man.
1:55:21You're not getting that number one seed, man, unless you're going through the Patriots back then. Alex Smith was putting us out the playoffs too. Yeah. Good run. It would have been nice to get Saturday night or Sunday at some point on Sunday, but instead it was always like, yeah, the Texans or the Bengals. Those two teams are always going to be playing Saturday afternoon. Or the Colts. Or the Colts. Yeah, or the Colts. You're right. The Chargers was almost there sometime. They might get in once every couple years as well. Yeah, this might be a dumb question, but you've played in a lot of different NFL stadiums.
1:55:59from a receiver standpoint, are there some stadiums where it's harder to track the ball? For sure. For sure. Especially the new stadiums where they think that the concert lights are, you know, the best. Man, it's actually a disadvantage. But, yeah, no, especially more so the newer stadiums where they come in and they want to add the lights for the prom games and, you know, the concerts and all that stuff. I know this is a little weird question because you're still playing but is there a receiver that you watch right now and you're like man that guy is just different and people don't give him enough respect oh yeah I would definitely say man there are a couple but one of my favorites that I love watching who doesn't get credit I would say Scary Terry yeah he's awesome he's just contested catch machine Yeah, Scary Terry, man.
1:56:59Scary Terry ever get on the team? Well, you know, I mean, obviously, you know, what the Redskins did a couple years ago was amazing. But, you know, Scary Terry is going to be a good one. Would you like to play with him at some point in your career? I like Washington, but But, you know, I like Washington as a city, you know, good food, good restaurants. Yep. Yeah. But, yeah, I'm not sure about, you know, I grew up a Redskins fan. Yeah. So I think that might be enough for me. So that's a maybe? I'm hearing a maybe from you? No, I think. Is that a maybe? What if I said, please? What if I said, please, we would love to have you in D.C.?
1:57:43Oh, man. You guys got enough receivers. You got Deebo. You guys, Scary Terry. Y 'all good, man. Y 'all need this old guy over there. Debo might not be back next year. I think he's a free agent. I feel like I'm begging you right now. This is sad. Don't make him mad. This is sad. Don't make him mad. You know what? We don't want you. We don't want you. Good luck. Good luck. Listen, I think I'm below on the free agent priority list. I think, what about Isaiah Likely over there? Or a top free agent signing? I like how you don't want to go to D.C. so much So you're trying to give other guys to me. You don't want a guy like me, future Hall of Famer.
1:58:21Can I interest you in an Isaiah Likely instead? Yeah, man. Come on, man. I'm just saying, man. Yeah, yeah. Hey, I got a non-football question. What happens at the Met Gala? You've been there. You've attended. What the hell happens? You guys just go and do nothing inside? Yeah, man. We go in there. We sacrifice the goat. No, I'm just kidding.
1:58:45No, no, no. Honestly, honestly, it's just people hanging out, eating food. And then there was a concert. Yeah. I mean, it's simple as that. You know, you have the hangout where people can, you know, chill. There's, you know, food. You got the hors d 'oeuvres. You got the caviar, you know, all the fancy stuff. And then there's a concert. And basically, you know, that's the Met Gala, man. There's nothing too crazy to it. Yeah. It's a lot of pressure, though, trying to figure out what you're going to wear to that. Right. Yeah, I know, man. I think it's more pressure just trying to eat the caviar.
1:59:23It was cool, though, man. But it was fun. A lot of pressure. I would say more so on the designers because that walk up to it, that's basically the mad gala. Yeah. It's not inside. It's a good point, though. Once you get in there, everyone's wearing the most fancy clothes. They have to design that food to make it hard to spill. Right. That's what I'm saying, man. You're like, I can't mess this suit up, man. I messed these clothes up. So let me stay away. But no, it was cool, man. Cool experience. Jerry Lorenzo is one of my friends. He's the designer who I went with. And he chose me to go, which I thought was cool.
2:00:02But fear of God, essentials is his clothing line. Yeah. Can we talk a little bit about the Super Bowl and how you see this matchup playing out? because I feel like most people are looking at it and saying Seahawks have been maybe the best team in the NFL all year if you look at it big picture. The Patriots, Mike Vrabel, really well-coached team. Drake Mays had a great year. They got some good weapons at wide receiver too. How do you see this playing out? Man, I think it's going to be a good one. I think right now everyone has the Seahawks to win, if I'm not mistaken. But, you know, Vrabel is one of the best coaches at situational football.
2:00:37and what Drake May is doing right now, not turning the ball over is how you win the Super Bowl and just going out, letting your defense, you know, control the game. And right now, I think the Patriots is playing some of the best defense in football as far as the back end, the front line. And then, you know, you got the Seahawks who is explosive. You know, those guys are taking shots. They got a running back. They have a couple receivers. You know, but for me, I think the key moments who win the Super Bowl is it's going to be the guys that you don't talk about, that you don't think about the Cooper Cups, the Mac, the Mac Hollins.
2:01:18You know, I think those guys right there can, you know, really determine this game because, of course, you got your JXs, you know, and you got Stefan, who all eyes are going to be on. But you've seen this past game, the trick play to Mac. You know, stuff like that, I think, is going to be, you know, those plays that kind of separates, you know, who wins because both are well-coached teams. So, you know, I don't see it just being a blowaway game. But who knows? But Vrabel, I think, is one of the, if not the best, situational coaches in football. And, you know, the Seahawks, obviously, is a great offense and a great defense.
2:01:56So it's going to be a good one. When you guys played the Patriots this year, did you match up at all against Christian Gonzalez? Because he feels like that defense for the Patriots, a lot of it goes because of how good he is and how he can take away a team's top weapon. Yeah, no, Christian is good. I went against him a couple times, but it was more so towards the end of a half. So he really wasn't playing pressed up. I think it was an out route. But, you know, yeah, I would definitely say watching film on him from this past year. Christian definitely does a good job of taking away, you know, key guys.
2:02:33But he does it in a way that he doesn't get a lot of holding calls. He doesn't get a lot of penalties. And I think that's what really separates him from a lot of defenders. He doesn't panic when the ball is in the air. And you see a lot of other guys who can make the play on the ball. But, you know, as they're turning around, they'll kind of just panic a little bit. But Christian does a good job of being composed. Yeah. Who's the one cornerback that always gave you the hardest time where, you know, you obviously have had an incredible, incredible career. One of the top wide receivers, like I said, at the top.
2:03:03But is there one guy that was like, man, something about him. He just he was always a matchup issue for me. Oh, yeah, Jalen Ramsey. Jalen Ramsey and myself, I would say we've had some of the best battles I've had. He went to Jacksonville when he got drafted, so played him twice a year for a couple years. And, man, I think it was the first, his rookie year, it was a slant to win a game at Jacksonville, Jalen's rookie year. And after that game, I remember his offseason, him talking about it somewhere in the interview that that play right there basically changed his game and made him realize that in order for him to be one of the best best defenders that he has to stop me who was the reason that Jacksonville brought in a DB because Houston at the time was one division and I was one of the best receivers and so you know his technique and everything I I would say changed after that one play.
2:04:06So I would say, you know, we kind of made each other better because after that, I saw his game change and it made me step my game up and do things different also because I knew that Jalen was a guy that I needed to win against or beat to continue to, you know, I would say stay at the top of the division and, you know, be one of the best receivers in the game at the time. So Jalen and I definitely, we groomed and I would say changed each other's game. But, you know, he was one of the first defenders that could go out there and run with you and jump with you, tackle you. You know, he's 6 '2". The guy basically could be a receiver if he wanted to.
2:04:46But that game at Jacksonville, his rookie year, it was a slant that I won. It was big third down to win a game. And he knew the ball was coming to me. And he talked about that in an interview somewhere. I'm not sure which quarterback I had at the time. But, yeah, that game right there kind of, I would say, changed the way that Jalen went about guarding all receivers. Yeah. Yeah. So you played basketball in college, right? I did. I played all of two seconds, but I played basketball. Yeah, 10 minutes in seven games, never got a point. But you've got some teammates that said that you could have been a starter on that team if basketball was your primary focus.
2:05:31Well, to my credit, I would say we had a senior point guard and I knew I wasn't going to play. I knew I was coming in kind of to learn the offense. I didn't have an offseason with the basketball team. I went straight from football to basketball. So it took me half the season to learn the offense, to learn everything. and so yeah the next year I was going to be the starting point guard to my credit but yeah you know Dabo was like nah man this this isn't it this isn't for you let's come on over here and I had the realization that there's not many six two point guards in the NBA yeah there's more six two wide receivers so you know I just had a realization that yeah how awesome was it in high school just dominating everyone and everything well you know i wanted to play soccer so i would say i was a little distant no it was not basketball and football it was cool man i didn't win a state championship in football won one in basketball though which is you know kind of like a bittersweet thing because i love football but i did want to play soccer and i wanted to play goalie and and the high school coach kind of told me not to come out because they had a goalie who's been there three years.
2:06:50So I was trying to go for the trifecta, man. I feel like you would have been a really good goalie. Yeah. Yeah, me too, man. I was like, come on. How hard can it be? Even though I can't say I was the best at juggling a soccer ball. That's fine. Yeah, you're too much of that goalie, and you don't even have to catch the ball. You just have to deflect it if you're a goalie. Yeah, right. And I could have rolled it every time. I didn't have to kick it. Hey, just come over here. Come with this ball. Now, did you play – would you say that you played basketball like a football player or that you played football like a basketball player?
2:07:24I played football like a basketball player, I would say. Okay. I had more. I had finesse. I was a point guard. You know, I wasn't – even though I would say my highlight of my college 10-minute career was being the sixth man off the bench to guard Ian Shumper at Georgia Tech. And I shut him down because they wanted me to play basketball like a football player and go in there and basically foul him. and, you know, give him a little elbow here and there. And I did my job. We won the game. Locked him up. Hey, do you know what a catch is? Sometimes. Sometimes I don't. Yeah, so we've had it. We had the Cooper Cup yesterday.
2:08:03We had, obviously, the Khalil Shakir in the Bills-Broncos game. When you're watching these games, can you tell, like, oh, that's a catch, that's not a catch? Because it feels like no one really knows play-to-play what actually a catch is. yeah I think I think the one that should really be reviewed and the NFL should look at is the Isaiah Likely situation yeah um and the reason I say that is because you know those guys got a hard job out there in New York obviously you know you you know us as as a player and watching the game we can say oh this is catching it isn't but I think certain certain ones there should be like it should it should be solid more solid than it is and I say Isaiah likely catch well touch well the one that wasn't a catch they said because he was in the end zone he had possession beyond the point of the end zone and he got one two feet down but they said he needed a third step so the reason I say that is if a guy crosses the end zone with the ball that's a touchdown so why not having possession of one two in the end zone being a touchdown so I think that that one right there is one that New York should really think about the end zone not not the end zone and really making it you know simple but I think this year really uh it woke up the rule changes and the people that they go about all that stuff of what is a catch and what isn't a catch because some people jobs are on the line and some some teams playoff hopes are on the line with these these catches and not catches and I thought that it was corrected back when Dez Bryant caught the ball and also Calvin Johnson you know so it's been going on for years obviously you got the internet now you got you know TikTok you got Twitter where it's it's more you know it's easier for people to see than back then when Calvin Johnson and Dez Bryant, we just talked about it or we had to find it ourself.
2:10:10But now it's in your face. And so I think the NFL should change it for sure to whatever they change it to and just let it be that where it's not black and white. Yeah. When they make a rule change like that, do you sit down? Do you open up the rule book and you're like, okay, so here's what I need to do to make a catch? nah yeah you you talk about it going into the season you know we have meetings every season about the new rules so you know every team has to do it this is a new rule this is that they changed this and so they'll kind of give us a little seminar uh just to kind of you know make you think about it but you don't go into the game or or you know practice like all right this is this new rule unless it's a special teams rule i think special teams guys and coaches have to kind of go over that more often than you know a receiver you know practicing you know certain things yeah yeah uh deandre this has been awesome man we really appreciate you coming on uh i'm going to ask you one last question roback question rhoback.com promo code take 20 off your first purchase qzips polos hoodies joggers shorts roback.com promo code take i don't think you get enough credit for having one of the coolest nicknames as well, Nuke.
2:11:29So you got it as a baby? That is a very cool nickname. Oh, man. Come on. It is. Do you at least was that something when you were growing up that you were not ashamed of or like, hey, that's not my name? Because I do think it's one of the coolest nicknames you could have. Yeah, man. I used to tell everyone, they call me Nuke because I'm the bomb. I'm the shit. Nah, but
2:11:55But, yeah, man, you know, for a while, you know, shit, I didn't know my name was DeAndre because everyone would call me Nuke where I'm from. So that's just that's some people where I'm from doesn't know my real name is DeAndre. Some people just know me as Nuke. So, yeah, obviously, my mom said that I had a little problem as a as an infant. I wouldn't I wouldn't suck the pacifier. I would chew it up with my gums and my and my and my two teeth that I had. and she said it became a problem to where it was the only brand pacifier that i would use but well unlike my other siblings she said i would just chew it up and she knew then that you know i was meant to take football hits yeah that's awesome don't do mouthpieces yeah nuke is a great nickname that's a fucking cool ass nickname hey man it's not bad it's not bad we're just gonna stick with somebody else i got it because i'm the bomb yeah i like that i love gonna go nuclear on people.
2:12:51Yeah. Yeah. Come on. You know, yeah, basically. Yeah. All right. Well, DeAndre, thanks so much, man. Really great to have you on. We'll definitely have you on again because this was fun. Yeah, man. Appreciate it. Looking forward to it, fellas. All right. Thanks, man. Good to meet you, dude. See ya. Have a good one. Later. I've been a customer of ZBiotics since about 2018. It works. Let's be real. Big game nights can go late. And these days I don't bounce back like I used to.
2:13:59I used to think I had to choose between a great night or a great next day. That's before I found pre-alcohol. ZBiotics pre-alcohol probiotic drink is the world's first genetically engineered probiotic. It was invented by PhD scientists to tackle rough mornings after drinking. Here's how it works. When you drink, alcohol gets converted into a toxic byproduct in the gut. It's a buildup of this byproduct, not dehydration, that's to blame for rough days after drinking. Pre-alcohol produces an enzyme to break down this byproduct. So just remember to make pre-alcohol your first drink of the night, drink responsibly, and you'll feel your best tomorrow.
2:14:34If you're planning to enjoy the big game without sacrificing your productivity the next day, ZBiotics Pre-Alcohol has you covered. Start your night with pre-alcohol. Wake up ready to show up strong at work, clear-headed, focused, and back to business. Go to zbiotics.com slash PMT now. You'll get 15 % off your first order when you use PMT at checkout. Plus, it's backed by 100 % money-back guarantee, so there's no risk. Subscriptions are also available for maximum consistency. I've been a subscriber to ZBiotics for years. I use it. It helps. 2:15:13Okay, Hank. FAQs. Yes, FAQs. Memes sent these to me and just added in the middle finger emoji for no reason. Okay, nice. The meme slog's going.
2:15:29How big the booth? How big the booth? It looks like it's pretty small and cramped. That being said, how bad does it smell? Well, Oldie is here this week. Yeah. We got to get him on on Thursday. Max just had a flashback to the Oldie booth. Oh, man. The Oldie booth was something. How bad is the best? I walked. I was walking out of the office yesterday and Oldie was talking about the strip clubs in Canada. You just suck on the. He was like, you just suck on the jugs forever. Like, what? All right, so two-part question one. How big the booth? Question two. I know it smells crazy in there. Booth small.
2:16:15Booth small. Right now, it doesn't smell. There are times where it does smell bad, but right now, it's not so bad. Although, there's no ventilation. Yeah, we're just in it. So sometimes. What happened to the clocks? We just stopped. That's a great question. Yeah. I'm not turning 40. Of course, I get a full reset today. My birthday is in three days. The clocks are in shambles. There was a vacuum incident, but we're back today. What was a vacuum incident? Somebody was vacuuming, and there's outlets got pulled, plugs got pulled, but we'll be back better than ever. The Super Bowl's right. You're one for Yandel's birthday's in three days.
2:16:49You're one for eight. Oh, yeah. Wait, does Yandel have the same birthday as me? I don't know. That's just what the clock says. Let's see. Where's Yandel? No, I think his birthday's in... I think it's Yandel's birthday. Maybe it is January. September 9th way off way the fuck off that might be my birthday it says PFT's birthday is in 224 days his birthday is Saturday your birthday was a victim of the vacuum but you'll be back strong if you plug a toilet at a get together and no plunger is available are we using our hand to unplug or asking the host for a plunger clog I think it depends on the size of the get together I have used my hand.
2:17:35No, hold on. Whoa. Whoa. That was judgy. That's disgusting. Yeah, the judging was a disgust. I've used my hand in a trash bag. You put your hand in a trash bag. Okay. You go outside, find a stick. The trash bag works. If you're in a, I mean, I guess in a home, it might be tough, but you just, whatever the little trash is next to, everyone's got one little trash next to the sink. You just get the trash bag out of there, dump it, hand in, unplug. You got to pre-flush, though. Yeah. No, if you're on a road game, you got to be flushing constantly. Flush halfway through. You got to just be... I'm flushing as I'm shitting.
2:18:18Yeah, you got to almost let the toilet pull some of the poop out of your butt as it's going down. Yeah. You got to be on top of that. That's actually... You get to a certain age where it's 100 % your fault because you know the rules. The rules are flush after every, like, just flush ten times. Every log gets its own flush. Hey, fellas. With the talk about Sam Darnold looking for Hank at Josh Allen's MVP party, I was curious what are some of the best events and perks you've attended, received thanks to the success of the show. Thanks. Well, I wouldn't say that Josh Allen's thing was necessarily a perk.
2:18:52It was along the lines of something else. But, yeah, I mean, those parties are fun. they're fun we don't really do that many of them though yeah how can i say this without sounding jay we're just getting old like it was i think it was more fun eight years ago super bowl week was a little more fun yeah if you're in your going out early 30s yeah that's a really fun time to go out at the super bowl hell yeah but it is it's it's more fun uh Just to see people we don't see. Like, that's really the funnest Super Bowl events we do is like, you know, going out, like going out to a dive bar with like Russillo and Stanford Steve and Chris Long.
2:19:36That's by far my favorite part of the Super Bowl. So I haven't gone to like one of the big parties in forever. I would say, though, at the Vegas Super Bowl, doing a bunch of mushrooms and then going out to the wild parties with Chris Long and Steve that night. That was because just seeing Mark Davis on mushrooms was an experience that was like his own. He was not. I was very much on mushrooms. He might have been. I think he was Stone Cold Silver. Shiitake from P.F. Changs? He seemed like he was just living large and in charge. But yeah, those are fun moments. But it's usually based around who you're with.
2:20:09Yeah. all right last one would you rather your team not make the super bowl or make the super bowl and get absolutely embarrassed for the whole world to see good question i'd rather not make the super bowl yeah it depends on the embarrassment i think that embarrassed like some of those the the like third and fourth bills ones in the 90s yeah when it was just a blowout blowout People don't talk about how the Chiefs got embarrassed last year. That gets kind of forgotten. You're right. They did. Good point, Hank. Good point, Hank. I'm thinking of the Raiders against the Bucs. Or the Niners and Chargers.
2:20:51Yeah, that was an ugly one. That one was ugly. Steve Young pieced up the Chargers. That line was like 14. It was ugly, but it was supposed to be ugly. Yeah, if you make the... I guess at least you have... Have there been other embarrassing ones recently? Recently, we've been on some pretty good Super Bowls in terms of... Actually, Bucs-Chiefs was kind of embarrassing. The Chiefs didn't score a touchdown. Chiefs are a joke. Chiefs didn't score a touchdown. Yeah, I would say it's... You do get the two weeks where you get to enjoy your team leading up to the Super Bowl. That's a fun period of time where you're just embracing the idea that you get to go to this party, reading all the national media stories about your team.
2:21:33It also, I think the embarrassment can go two ways. Like if you get embarrassed, I would choose not go to the Super Bowl if you get embarrassed from like the jump. Like the Broncos Seahawks. That was embarrassing for the Broncos literally from the beginning of the game. They got a safety, right? Yep. Yeah. If you get embarrassed like, A, you're down 10 at halftime and then you end up losing by like 24. I think that you can be like, hey, we were in it for a little bit. But yeah, if you get embarrassed right from the beginning, we're going to say memes a thousand percent put this in so that we could revisit this if the Patriots get embarrassed.
2:22:09What would you say, Hank? I'd rather make the Super Bowl. What about like really embarrassed? I mean, this year, it's like, yeah, we got it. It's our first year coach for the 23 year old quarterback. We'll be back. I wasn't talking about you specifically. I'm just saying if you got really embarrassed. Why would I get embarrassed if it wasn't me specifically? What? It could be anyone. It's a hypothetical for anyone. But you said, ask me specifically. What about you, Hank? Yeah, you're a value part of this podcast. Oh, it's hypothetical. It's hypothetical. I'd rather make the Super Bowl. Okay. Okay.
2:22:39I mean, Dan Marino never got back. True. That is true. He also lost. Yeah. We don't want that. We want to win. Correct. Correct. So wouldn't that be awful if you never got back and you lost? That's part of this hypothetical. Hypothetically, yeah. That would suck. Yeah. Hypothetically. Yeah. Okay. Good show, boys. So, Hank, you think you'll get back in PFT. you don't think they'll get back? What? You should do another five-year bet.
2:23:08You should do another five-year bet. Let's finish this bet. Let's finish this bet first. Okay. Numbers. Seven. Fourteen. Hundred. Sixty. Sixty-nine. Eight. Sixty-six. I'll go 98. Twenty-one. New lottery ball machine coming after Super Bowl. Very excited about that. Can't wait to break it in.
2:23:41Oh, wait. Nope. 66. I thought it was 99. For a sweet pug. Happy birthday to Michael Greer. He initially entered his name into the database as Michael Greer for today's birthday and J.J. McCarthy for today's birthday. It's not J.J. McCarthy's birthday. but it is Michael Greer's birthday. Happy birthday. Love you guys. Happy birthday, Greer. Happy birthday, Greer. Good show. Wait, wait, wait. Jack had 66. Jack, you got it? Why did you speak up? Why did you say anything? I can't see. I can't see what it is. Jack, you've gotten it before, right? Yeah, this is my second time. Oh, okay. Nice. Good job, Jack.
2:24:20Thank you. Colton, have you gotten it? Colton, have you gotten it? How can't you see? Kiss my ass, dude. Yeah. Yeah. I like that. Kiss his ass. Kiss my ass, dude. Good job, Jack. Way to go. Do you need glasses? Although. I need new contacts. You're standing up. I'll say this. Of all the ones to get it, this might be the, like, getting it right before we get the new machine is just a waste. I've already said that. Yeah. This doesn't mean that. Once memes got it, it was like time for new machine. Yeah. In the cuck chair, bitch. Yeah. So actually, you lost, I think, here, because I was trying not to get it.
2:24:55I should try that next time. And mission accomplished. Good job. Impressive. Love you guys.
2:25:30Thank you.
2:26:00Thank you.
2:26:29Thank you.
2:26:58Bye.
