In short

The hosts return from vacation and recap major sports news: Super Bowl aftermath (Sam Darnold praise), NBA All-Star weekend (including Damian Lillard winning the 3-point contest despite not playing), and especially Kevin Durant “burner account” allegations that sparked NBA Twitter controversy. They also debate NBA tanking/draft-order ideas (including a lottery-team tournament and even selling teams after poor performance), discuss Chris Paul’s retirement and his reported “pain in the ass” Clippers behavior, and then pivot to Olympics talk—highlighting a curling cheating controversy involving Canada, plus hockey and general Winter Games chatter (including mascots and luge/skeleton discussion).

Guests

No guests are named in the transcript. The episode includes an interview with Jameis Winston, but his background details are not provided in the transcript excerpt.

Key claims

  • Durant may have been exposed using burner accounts; screenshots/accounts allegedly include “get off my Dickerson” and “get higher 777,” and the hosts speculate about awkward teammate conversations if true.
  • NBA All-Star weekend is largely stale; dunk contest lacked memorable moments and Mack McClung opted out.
  • Adam Silver may address tanking via a tournament among lottery teams; hosts criticize the idea and propose alternatives (e.g., losses stop helping after a date; extreme “sell the team” thresholds).
  • Chris Paul’s Clippers tenure ended because he tried to coach/coach over staff and wasn’t a good fit as a reserve.
  • Canada’s curling team allegedly cheated by touching/handling the stone past the hog line; Sweden’s cameras allegedly caught it.

Notable examples

  • Durant’s “triple double cocaine bear” nickname for Russell Westbrook.
  • Mack McClung “prisoner of the dunk” narrative.
  • Chris Paul allegedly pushing team meetings/adjustments after early-season losses.
  • Olympic curling: Canada vs Sweden; “fuck off” comment mentioned.
  • Olympics mascots: Milo and Tina (stoats), with Milo tied to Paralympics and an amputee limb difference.

0:39PFT Commenter:On today's part of my take presented by DraftKings, the boys are back. We're back in studio. Everyone's back from a nice vacation, a little football detox, and we've got a lot of things to talk about. National Sports Podcast is going to be humming today. We also have a great interview with Jameis Winston. He drops some news for us that we were very excited about. Very, very excited about. So awesome time with him. And then after the Jameis interview, we'll do a little recap of all of our travels. Back at it. The springtime thaw is finally here. Flowers are blooming. Days are longer. Bomba's sports socks are super comfortable and designed with sports-specific tech for running, cycling, yoga, hiking, you name it. They are a game changer. They're cushioned when you need it, sweat wicking. They don't slide around. I can just focus on just going as fast as possible instead of constantly adjusting my socks. Once I put the boots back in the closet, Bomba's warm-weather footwear is back in the rotation.

3:12PFT Commenter:Welcome to Part of My Take presented by DraftKings. The crown is yours. Today is Monday, February 16th and we are back in studio. The boys are back. Everyone's looking a little more tan, a little more rested. We've got a lot of things we want to talk about, but I wanted to start with the most important thing, PFT. I think you know what I'm going to say. Hank, any words for Sam Darnold? Got anything you want to say to Sam Darnold? Congrats to Sam Darnold. Okay, because I feel like we didn't fully recap the Super Bowl, so anything you want to say about Sam Darnold? No. Respect him. I just wanted to go to you first to hear your voice.

3:47Hank, did Sam Darnold turn back into Sam Darnold? I'm happy for Sam Darnold. Good guy. Elite quarterback. Elite.

3:56PFT Commenter:Elite. Elite. Top five. If we put Jalen Hurts in the top five, he's got to be in the top five. Has to be. Has to be. Give me your top five. Drake May. Sam Darnold. Whoa. Josh Allen. Caleb Williams. Jayden Daniels. Oh, wow. Okay. Okay. All right. Yeah. That's fine. I agree. Yeah. Way to appease us. Turn over a new league. Guess it. We're. We had some technical difficulties. It's friendship time. We had to pause for a second. You said, I'm so over all of this. No, no, no. I'm over all of this. I was over. You're over it. No, I'm over getting mad. Oh, yeah, yeah. Friendship. It's friendship time.

4:34PFT Commenter:No, no, no. I did not say I'm over this like I'm over this you guys. I meant I'm over getting mad about you guys trolling me about the picture. And by the way, the troll was mostly because of your voice. I needed to hear your voice again. So are you okay? Sam Darnold was at Disneyland. I was at Disney World. I was riding roller coasters, screaming. I lost my voice. Yeah, the teacups. Teacups got you. Splash Mountain. We can put you on a minute's restriction here, load management. We are back, though. We have so many national sports podcast topics. Should we start with the fact that we had an all-star game, a dunk contest, a three-point shootout where Damian Lillard won, who he's not even playing this year.

5:21PFT Commenter:But really, the big story was Kevin Durant might have had another burner exposed, and it's fucking awesome because, while we have no facts to back it up that it's truly him, I'm just going to choose to believe it's him because he has said that he still has a burner out there, and if this is the one, he's got a lot of relationships to repair. He's got takes. I don't know that he's got relationships to repair. necessarily he's just listen the man all he does is just talk shit and if he's not gonna do it behind his own account the katie trey one you know he's open at least about the fact that he's got burners so the burners are get off my dickerson and get higher 777 those are the two that that appear to have been allegedly exposed i don't know that they're actually his they sound like him the best part in my opinion was the nickname that he gave to westbrook yeah called him triple double cocaine bear which is the best nickname that i've ever heard so like credit to kevin durant so you don't think he has anything to repair when he basically trashed the rockets essentially goon can't shoot or pass and uh it's your fault that's your future to the rockets fans in this group chat i don't know listen he might not be a shingooner i am a shingooner it sounds like he might have some peace to to repair with them but uh listen he's gonna talk shit kevin Durant's going to talk shit online.

6:41I think you just can't put 100 % stock in what he says.

6:45PFT Commenter:The craziest part about this is that so it all kind of broke during All-Star game. And again, we don't know if this is actually fact, but it's funny to run with it because it was a very funny story online. The fact that Kevin Durant in every single shot, it felt like for three hours he was on his phone, maybe doing crisis management. Or here's another theory. I think there's a chance that Kevin Durant loves burner accounts and NBA Twitter so much. He might have been on a third burner account talking shit about KD. Yeah. Like getting in on the free clicks of how idiotic KD is. Like KD, honestly, he's rent-free inside all our heads right now.

7:30It's like every rock we look under, is that KD? Every person that replies to us online, that might be KD. It's pretty awesome. He's got us seeing ghosts. And I mean, he's a prolific poster. he's not going to ever give up the burner account life. That's something that we know about Kevin Durant. I don't think that he said anything too mean. Yeah, he talked a little shit, but it's not like he was super out of pocket.

7:51PFT Commenter:There was a couple that would probably be an awkward conversation. I think there was one that said, like, ever since Steve Kerr got punched by MJ, he didn't fuck with dark skin guys. That one, you know, like if you see Steve Kerr, he might have to have like a, If this is truly him, yeah, he did call Jabari mentally handicapped. So, again, these are his teammates right now. So, again, you may think that it might be nothing, but if it is confirmed to be him, I would imagine there could be a couple awkward conversations that take place afterwards. It's a little different than when his burner account was kind of just going after random people on NBA Twitter.

8:33PFT Commenter:he could be talking just a tremendous amount of shit about his teammates in group chats. Go to that one about Vogel and Booker. Why do people think this is true? I don't. There you go. I actually don't know. That's a good question, Hank. There is the one, the get off my Dickerson's profile picture is the same image that KD tweeted like five years ago. It's the owl, right? It's the owl. Yeah. So that one is a little bit weird. But yeah, it probably is just a Kevin Durant stan who's pretending to be him. So that's most likely what the case is. This one talking about Booker and Vogel, two dictators, Stalin and Hitler, Mussolini and Kim Jong-un.

9:11That might be, yeah, calling a guy Hitler. You might have to have a conversation. That's what I'm saying.

9:16PFT Commenter:It's a little bit different in that I'm sure Kevin O 'err will be just fine, but there could be some awkward conversations. I swear I miss Ben Simmons. At least that friend would give me the ball. The potential Katie Burner said about... What team was he on with Simmons? The Nets. Shanguni said, I'm going to turn the ball over with this shitty-ass team. I don't give a fuck. Your franchise player can't shoot or defend. That's a way bigger issue than my turnovers. Remember, these guys are your future. I have to imagine that every NBA player is like this all the time. None of them seem very happy.

9:50PFT Commenter:I think there's no one like Kevin Durant. He is a one of one. The only guys that seem like they're happy are the Oklahoma City Thunder. Everybody else seems like there's something going on in their life that makes it. In theory, being in the NBA would be the best job ever. Yeah. And you have nothing to worry about. But nobody is ever happy. Yeah, there's some guys that are happy. Steph Curry seems pretty happy. Steph Curry, shout out. Steph Curry, good teammate. Did you see the report last week about the Kaminga trade? and there was like the entire, there was a big, I think it was on Yahoo, where someone wrote about everything that transpired in the last few years with Kaminga, and one of the nuggets in it was that there were complaints that Kaminga's family took too much food in the family, like whatever, suite area.

10:38PFT Commenter:Yeah. And Steph Curry came out and was like, that's ridiculous. This is fucked up. That's a good teammate. That's also like family. That's the stuff that family would actually argue about. We shouldn't be food shaming. the the the other one the the other thought I had when this all happened because it came out before the all-star game which the all-star game credit to them was kind of entertaining because a couple guys were actually trying Anthony Edwards was trying Wemby Wemby was trying Jokic and Luka were total zeros they didn't even play in the last game uh but the all the talk going into this weekend was the NBA all-star game has hit like a new low it's so bad the three-point contest the dunk contest has guys that are you know if it weren't for who's it Jace Richardson almost dying of hitting his head off the backboard and then getting concussed there was no real memorable moment from the dunk contest and then they were doing a new format for the all-star game so could there be a chance that they were like hey let's leak a KD burner account so that we can if this all-star game doesn't work out we have something that people are talking about it's not it's not just the all-star weekend sucks and tanking is ruining the nba maybe something kind of smart by that to share screenshots of online instead of michael jordan screenshots this weekend listen michael jordan won the daytona 500 i don't know what you're talking about he did he did he won the daytona brown has not done that yeah lebron's never done oh speaking of lebron not that we're keeping track of any of these things but did you know that lebron uh broke a record today did not know that yeah he uh he's lost his 11th all-star game most of all time wow wow very impressive yeah but you gotta get there you gotta get there wait wait you're gonna lose it so is it did every game today count though as a loss i know i know that they won but so yeah they did they did not wind up winning the because they didn't win the overall yeah there were two losers the stars or stripes and then the world got it and then one of the stars or stripes one usa one usa one the good part of the usa big time love that good for us i did like anthony ever was being like i haven't been on social media in three years yeah we know yep we know dude we know but yeah that was just uh there was a lot of uh weird shit that came out it's it's very funny like the kd you can basically just anytime there's a lull just hit the kd burner you know controversy and NBA Twitter just erupts in everyone just having a great time.

13:11I think we've been pretty consistent about the All-Star game recently where if you get mad about the All-Star game, what are you expecting? We have no real room to be upset with it anymore because it's been so bad for so long. I will say that Mack McClellan not being in the dunk contest sucked. He should have been in there. Well, so he actually chose not to. Yeah, but they should have made him go into it.

13:33PFT Commenter:I hate that I'm saying this, but I did read an entire feature on Mac McClung today. And it kind of sucks. He basically decided not to do it because he's been almost boxed into being the dunk guy. And it talked about his journey being in G League, being in two-way contracts, how after he won the first one, Reggie Miller was saying, give this guy a contract. and his mom was talking to Adam Silver. He said, hey, this is finally going to be the moment. None of that happened. And after three in a row, he was like, this is not going to help me get a contract. Then you just keep working on my game. So I actually feel bad.

14:15PFT Commenter:He's become a prisoner of the dunk. This has happened multiple times in his career because he said in college he didn't dunk for an entire year because everyone wanted to talk about his dunks. Right, but still, I think this show, more than maybe any other show, has talked about Mack McClung outside of the dunk contest. probably more than every other sports podcast combined. Yeah. He should be on an act. He should be playing in the NBA, but I especially need him during the dunk contest. Yeah, but I feel bad for him. And then his excuse for, like, in the dunk contest, he said that if he goes in, then other guys will actually drop out because they know that he'll kick his ass.

14:46PFT Commenter:Oh, we might have lost Chase Richardson. Yeah. Yeah. These guys might be afraid to compete against Matt. You can't have that. No. No, I felt bad for Matt McClung. He's like, everyone just sees me as the dunk guy, and I'm trying to make an NBA roster, and it's not helping me. So he did release the dunks that he would have done, which would have been sick. Yeah. But yeah, I feel I'm happy that Mac McClung was like, you know what? You can't just use me for my dunks anymore because that was kind of what it was. It's like, hey, let's hit the Mac McClung button so that we can have at least something to watch on Saturday night.

15:16PFT Commenter:It's like, no, put me in the NBA and then I'll come back. You know what? I'm going to join him. I'll go on strike from dunking until Mac McClung's on an NBA roster. Yeah. Will you join? Yeah, I'm in. Absolutely in. Memes? Actually, no, no promises. Oh, okay. You're going to dunk again? Or attempt to dunk again? I'm just saying no promises. Or talk about dunking for six months? I'm willing to promise that I will not be dunking. Okay, all right. Absolutely will not be dunking. I'm not making any promises. Not with that voice. No. We also had Adam Silver is maybe going to address tanking. Yeah. There's going to maybe be a tournament among the lottery teams to determine draft order.

15:53PFT Commenter:I kind of like that. I also don't my rule that I came up with or actually I think our colleague and good friend Nick came up with it if you what they need to do for all sports is if you don't reach a certain level of win percentage in consecutive years you have to sell the team which that would be awesome too if you win less than 20 games in the NBA for three years straight you should have to sell the team I think that if they're planning on doing this tournament they're going to have all the lottery picks play against each other and then the winner of that than gets the first pick. Yeah. What is to stop a team that's going to be like, you know, bottom half of the playoffs from tanking to get to the lottery and then dominating that?

16:33It's not well thought out. I don't think that's going to work at all. No. I think this is actually one of the worst ideas that he's had. Yeah.

16:38PFT Commenter:No, what they should do, it feels pretty simple, is that it should be like after March or whatever, pick a random date and be like, losing no longer helps you. You know what I mean? Yeah. The losses do not add to your lottery balls at this point. There are certain teams. Arbitrary date and be like, guess what? It's set. So obviously that would just move tanking up maybe a little bit earlier in the year. But yeah, it does suck right now that it seems like half the league is going to, or not half the league, but there's a quality like seven or eight teams are like, we're just not even. Jaron Jackson has knee surgery.

17:14PFT Commenter:Yeah. He got traded to the Jazz. There's certain teams that are ethically tanking. Yeah. That are just honestly bad at playing basketball. Not because they're manipulating their roster in any weird way. Those teams, I feel like they get absolutely fucked. There's only one way that you can really establish a true turnaround in the NBA, and that's to either trade for a superstar somehow, have one fall into your lap. It would be to be one of the handful of five destinations that a top-tier free agent would want to go to to build a franchise, or just luck out in the draft lottery. and it feels like this would be a really easy way for that to all kind of backfire and to have like average teams now tank just to get into the lottery then beat people's asses to get the number one overall pick adam silver did say that he would also consider getting rid of the draft and making all rookies free agents that would be fascinating that is like florio's wet dream yeah You know, Florio has been on this.

18:13PFT Commenter:He's been spouting this for a long time that every college kid coming into the NBA or the NFL should be a free agent. And then teams can allocate what they like. Guys can come and be like, hey, I want to play for a winner. I'm going to take less money because of the cap. But they can circumvent the cap. How? Trees. Trees. Tree companies. I forgot about the trees. Shoe deals. Shoe deals. If that tree money doesn't come through, then you can just find a judge in Alabama. that lets you go back to school. That's true. Or a judge in Alabama that won't let you go back to school. Yeah, that's true. A judge in Mississippi that will let you go back to school.

18:51PFT Commenter:A judge in Alabama that won't let you go to school. Yep. Yeah. That's a good point, Hank. Yeah, I mean, it would be interesting to see how it worked out. I think it would make the league worse. This is like when everyone's like, we should pay college players, and that hell happened. Yeah, and now here we are, having one of the best college basketball seasons we've had in a really long time. Yeah, and football season rocked. The playoff was awesome. Never mind. I mean, there are some downsides to NIL. There's definitely some downsides to NIL. I'm strongly against that. Like, I think NIL, it's bad, but...

19:25You think NIL's bad? I think it's reversed.

19:29PFT Commenter:Oh, Bootlick or Hank, let's go. No, never mind. No, no, no. I want to hear it. Greatest college football season ever. Greatest college basketball season ever. The star player of Kansas doesn't even play because it's like his agents don't want him to play so he can get drafted higher. That's because of drafting. That has nothing to do with NIL. And also, you can honestly argue it would be worse if there wasn't NIL. Yeah, because they at least get paid now. There's a lot of guys who are playing really hard because they're making a lot of money now. All right, I was wrong. I'm sorry. No, no. It's okay.

20:03PFT Commenter:You want to talk with Sam Darnold again? No. It is good to just be like... Your voice is cracking. You just use the term, you know, nowadays with NIL. It just covers everything that you don't like about the sport. You're right that there are definitely some bad side effects to NIL. There are some moments where, I mean, it's hard to root for your college team now because guys change nonstop. NIL and basketball this year, it has been an incredible basketball season. But yeah, there's some downside to NIL for sure. You're absolutely spot on.

20:37we're positive now we're friends yeah you know what hank i'd like for you maybe with zach i'd like for you to design counter programming for next year's barstool halftime show with mincy do like your non-woke barstool halftime show that'd be cool the one with mincy was too woke It was like all hippy, hippy, dippy drug use, that kind of shit. I'm going to be there.

21:05PFT Commenter:What don't you like about it? Why are you going to be there? I'll be at the game. Are you covering it? Super Bowl? Yeah. We'll be back. You want to bet? No. Make a bet. Make a bet. You want to bet, you pussy? Make a bet. Nope. All right. Make a bet. I'll bet you five bucks. Okay, deal. But, Hank, your point was correct that NIL has some very big downsides. Apparently not. Best college football season. No, no. I was wrong. You were right. No, no, no. This college basketball season has been incredible, but there have been some parts of NIL that are head scratchers and really annoying. You just used one example that didn't have anything to do with NIL.

21:48That was the only thing that. Players getting paid. No, you used the Kansas guy as an example. Yeah, because he has an agent. He's not playing because he has an agent. No, he's not playing because he doesn't want to hurt his draft stock. Who do you think is telling him to do that? You don't think that these guys have had agents before? But you don't think they've had guys. They weren't allowed to. But they're not real agents. They were not allowed to. Not real agents, but they had guys that were telling them what they were going to do. Okay, yeah. But you're saying they might have. I think that sucks.

22:19Here's why that sucks. He has an actual agent, and his agent who is looking out for his best interest to make money in the NBA is like, don't play. Here's why I think that sucks right now. It's not just him independently being like, I shouldn't play. Here's why I think that sucks right now is because the way that NIL is set up, you're relying on a bunch of donations from local business guys, famous boosters, alumni that are well off of the school that are going to try to pay to get you the best roster as possible. the second they start paying millions of dollars we're talking like millions of dollars for a quarterback millions of dollars for a star uh star basketball player and those guys just take the money and don't pay don't play then that money's going to dry up for an il so like that does affect everybody and it sucks um but it's not like guys weren't they didn't have agents that they would talk to beforehand and they would sometimes like we had guys sitting at bowl games because of the draft stock.

23:11PFT Commenter:COVID was... There were guys sitting out full season. Michael Parsons sat out the full year. Yeah. Derek Stingley, didn't he sit out? Did he sit out? He might have. Yeah, I know Parsons did. Yeah. Either way, back to the NBA, I just love that going into the All-Star Weekend, it was just all negative talk. I feel like everyone was just tanking. All-Star Weekend sucks. You just got to get through February. Get to the playoffs. We had the... What if it was a black versus white game debate? Yeah, Nick Wright threw that out there. I like that. We've had that. Who gets Steph Curry? Because if we can get him for the third quarter.

23:46I don't know.

23:47PFT Commenter:I don't know. I think if we just got him for it. I don't know. If we had him for the third quarter, I like our odds. Yeah. Were there American guys playing on the world team, too, today? Were there memes? What were the rosters? Somebody was – Kat's from New Jersey, but he's been on the DLR team since 2015. He plays international, yeah. Yeah, so, I mean, listen, it was actually better than I thought it would be. Like, this one, there was guys trying, and there were moments where I was like, okay, this is actually somewhat of a fix. But, yeah, to your point, PFT, like, I'm done ever caring about the All-Star.

24:23PFT Commenter:The only All-Star game that still is cool or holds any relevance is the baseball All-Star game because you can still throw 99 and still try to hit a dong off someone. Yeah. And even that, we had the controversy last year where half the team left. And we had the swing-off. And we had the swing-off. Remember, everyone was mad because Aaron Judge was gone? Yeah. Like, yeah. They're not going to care about All-Star games. All-Star games, their exhibitions are supposed to be fun, kind of like that Four Nations thing that we had last year. Exactly. Who knows who won that. You're not supposed to remember who won these things.

24:52It's something that will be on your TV to entertain you on a day in which there should not normally be sports on TV. Yes. So just be glad that you get to see a hoop and a ball and then some guys that you recognize from other games and be like, oh, okay, this is a sport. Cool. I get to watch it, maybe even bet on it.

25:07PFT Commenter:The only other NBA story I had was Chris Paul retired when we were on vacation. Probably the worst retirement tour ever because he got cut from the Clippers. And then his rights sent to Toronto. And he's like, I think I'm just done. I read another long. I had a flight today. So I was doing some reading. No big deal. Not to brag. But basically what went wrong. And it just was an entire article about Chris Paul just being the most annoying guy in the world to be around. Because he was brought in as a reserve player, and he just tried to coach everyone. Yeah. And do team meetings after the first game of the season when they lost.

25:51PFT Commenter:And telling guys that they're not trying, switching defensive adjustments and all this stuff. I kind of understand why the Clippers were like, hey, we can't do this anymore. Yeah, they were like, Chris Paul has just become the coach is right, guys. Let's all listen. Like, he was a narc. They never really trusted him. No, it was the other way. That Chris Paul was a narc. No, but he was going against the coaches. But he was trying to coach himself? No, he was saying, like, the coaches are wrong trying to coach the players. And the coaches were like, hey, we brought you in to just, like, be a reserve guy, be, like, a good go with the flow.

26:30PFT Commenter:He was trying to hold like he, the one of the stories was they lost after the first, they got blown out in the first game of the season. And Chris Paul, they all get back to the locker room and Chris Paul wants to have like a discussion with the team about it. And everyone was like, no dude, we don't want to do that. And then there was another one where it was like, he's trying to get guys to work out or like telling guys how to play. Yeah. He just seems, I think it's more credit. I guess it would be credit to Chris Paul for having such a long career because he only knows one speed and that's to just be an insane competitive psycho all the time and they brought him in being like hey can you just be a chill guy for your last year and he couldn't do it i don't think anybody that's had that much success would most people would not be good at accepting that rule but just but there are guys like so the story goes to that afterwards they had a three-way facetime it's him blake griffin and um what's the what's the tall guy's name from those teams deandre uh jordan and they so like they had maybe had a not they had a little icy relationship but has thawed recently the three of them and they all were kind of having a laugh because they all got screwed over by the clippers at some point and just laughing about it yeah and it just like like a blake griffith or deandre jordan like he they they are able to play maybe not all like a starter minutes and be a positive influence to the team chris paul can't Like he just has to be Chris Paul.

27:52Yeah.

27:53PFT Commenter:At all times. Yeah. I mean, he just didn't. I don't know. I don't know. I need to read this article and figure it out. It's a good article about what he did and didn't do. Because it seems to me like if you're getting Chris Paul on your team, you there's enough body of evidence to know what Chris Paul is going to be. Right. So it's not like this is something that just crept up. Correct. While he was on the Clippers. They thought they had a plan. He's been bad before and a bad fit on other teams recently. Correct. And they're like, this can work with us because of a reason. Because it's his last year and we want to send him off in a nice way and all that stuff.

28:26PFT Commenter:But yeah, it just was never going to work. I think one of the quotes was just like, when he was a good player, he's a pain in the ass. Now that he's not a good player, he's still a pain in the ass. You can't have that. Right, because I haven't seen much from Chris Paul that's showed any mellowing out over the last few years. Correct. Yeah, inside the ugly Chris Paul, L.A. Clippers divorce. That was from Ramona Shelburne. It was extensive, extensive. I just love reading any of these stories after the fallout. Yeah. And everyone being like, yeah, we saw this coming. I mean, I guess he was this was from an executive.

29:00PFT Commenter:He was a pain in the ass when he was a great player. And now he's not a great player. I guess he was a good teammate when he was on Spurs, right? Yeah, I think so. You didn't hear that much about him when he was in San Antonio. Yeah, I think it's more just it's hard to he wants to be very involved when and it's hard if you're it's a the Clippers were a team with a lot of veterans who didn't need a Chris Paul telling him, like, the Spurs are a young team, so it probably worked better. So embrace the bait. Is he on the Mount Rushmore of the greatest of all time to not get a rank? I mean, he's one of the greatest point guards of all time.

29:35PFT Commenter:That's for sure. So I don't know. Yeah, he might be. Hank? Basketball, probably. Yeah, he probably is. I'm trying to think of who else. Isaiah? Isaiah. which isaiah no you know what kd kd kd which isaiah were you talking about uh i was about to refer to isaiah thomas but then i realized that he did win a ring two yeah yeah yeah but i had it mixed up with uh the dream team got it not on the dream wasn't on the dream team listen we're coming back Coming back from vacation. Coming back from vacation. Camelone, Charles Barkley, John Stockton, AI, Patrick Ewing. Yeah, Steve Nash. He's definitely in that category.

30:24PFT Commenter:Chris Paul. Yeah, he's definitely up there with them. Great player. Great point guard. We'll maybe have Rassilo on to do a full breakdown of how good Chris Paul was. He worked 21 years in the NBA. It's crazy. That is a very long time. It's a very, very long time. Okay. Before we do some other stories, quick break. Chevy. Hey, it's Hannah Montoya. 31:42PFT Commenter:about next i want to talk olympics we can talk olympics i don't want to talk about olympics yet okay we do have to talk about we will talk about olympics and those fucking cheating fucks from canada we will talk about the olympics i want to talk about the olympics okay what you go ahead curling curling major drama i didn't see it okay i didn't see it i who's to say all right so here's I saw the replay. It seems unclear. I did some legwork. Again, like I said, I had a long flight today, so I was prepping for the show. I got our expert. I got a report from our expert, all business Pete, on the curling controversy.

32:21PFT Commenter:So I'm going to explain it to you how he explained it to me, and I think it actually makes sense. So in curling, the first thing you've got to know is it's a gentleman's sport in that there are no umpires. There are no refs. There are no umpires. There are guys that are there to help settle disputes and measure the rocks and all that shit. But there's no official ref. Okay, so it's like community organizing. Yeah, so you call your own fouls. You're not supposed to call fouls on the other team. You're supposed to call your own fouls, all that stuff. Now, the hog line, I believe, is that green line.

32:58PFT Commenter:That's the hog line. That's the hog line. You are not allowed to touch the stone past the hog line. and this is something i didn't realize that pete told me that's very interesting the whole you're not allowed to touch you're not supposed to touch the stone except for the holder piece you're not supposed to touch the granite there's this handle yeah the handle thank you hank the handle there's a sensor on the handle so if you're holding this the the the handle past the hog line there will be a sensor that goes off that's why he's touching the granite because there's no sensor on the granite. And apparently everyone knew that Canada was cheating.

33:38PFT Commenter:Sweden had their own broadcast cameras basically set up on the hog line to catch them in the act. Then they called them out on it. And also you're not supposed to swear. That was the other thing I learned. You're not supposed to swear during curling. It's a gentleman. So the fact that the Canadian guy said fuck off was disgusting. Like kids are watching. All right, so I'm looking at this replay that they brought up. You zoomed in on it. I mean, who's to say? They cheat. And my understanding is that there's no actual cheating in the sport because there's no rules in the sport. Yeah, but it's a gentleman's.

34:13PFT Commenter:It's similar to golf. You're supposed to call your own fouls. They found a loophole, which is that if there's no actual refs, then people can cheat and get away with it. Correct, but now they look like absolute assholes, and Canada cheats. This is a bad look for Canada. Big time bad look for Canada. Just Canada as a nation. I thought that they would be better than this. I want to make sure I didn't miss anything. But, yeah, it's good. It's controversy. It's good. Listen, it's good for the sport. The U.S. is good now, right, at curling? So the U.S., we need to get behind Team USA because that was the other thing I got from Pete.

34:50PFT Commenter:I asked him how we're doing. He said the women's team has never won a medal, and they're actually playing really well, and the men's team was the ninth out of 10th team to qualify and they're also playing really well. So he was like, it's tremendous team pride and country pride. I said, I don't root for losers. I want to win. He said, well, you have a national sports podcast. You need to get behind Team USA. Consider me right at this moment, officially behind Team USA and curling. Why don't we just cheat harder than Canada does? Yeah, I don't know. I'm trying to make sure that I didn't miss any.

35:23PFT Commenter:He sent me way too much shit. And he said at the beginning, it's really boring. So Pete's official call is for Canada to clean it up. They need to clean up the cheating. They need to clean it up. Just clean it up. Tighten up the sheet. Okay. All right. Hey. That's a fair call. Why don't they just do fights? It's hockey adjacent. You're on the ice. Yep. Just settle it like men. Is it a curling arena? On the lanes? Yeah, the sheet of ice. I think I'm playing curling with Pete on Tuesday. Settle it on the lanes like a man. yeah they should just punch him in the face he won't do it again just take that finger stick it up his ass even muttering the f-word to yourself would be considered a faux pas and curling i just don't like the canada sheets i guess canada hasn't won a gold in like 10 years too and this is supposed to be their sport so they're getting frustrated it is a bad look for canada as a whole the reputation that we have and it matters because what he's doing when he when he puts his finger on the granite is he's he's correcting his release you know i mean he's releasing the stone and then he's fixing it a little bit with the with the extra finger yeah yeah i feel like we've had this controversy before in curling like there there have been teams that have been accused of keeping the finger on the stone for too long but it does seem like this was a setup by sweden because they knew oh yeah no they did advanced scouting of canada and they knew where to where to put all the cameras it's kind of like they could have told them beforehand we know that you're going to do it don't do it but they almost would rather catch them apparently expose them apparently great britain also had cameras set up they all knew so candidate cheats and that's our curling minute do we have any other olympic stuff i saw the guy going backwards down the that was sick that was so sick yeah i just assume that's how all those like freestyle mogul races finish you should have to go backwards at the end i'm ready for the hockey i'm ready for the hockey like meaningful hockey games to happen we we won our first two games three three games now we're in the the bracket phase i'm ready i'm ready for team canada austin it's fun getting a root for austin matthews yeah that's pretty cool it's tough having a root against tom wilson i'm gonna hate him it was funny watching matthew kachok say to leon dryside always a bridesmaid also brady kachok met elmo yeah did you see that you said it was a unique opportunity to meet elmo it is i don't even understand how that i don't understand what the context is of that they've already got their why Why were they meeting Elmo?

37:46Elmo and the Muppets, they show up around these things all the time. They're just there? Yeah. Elmo's there? Elmo's always around.

37:54PFT Commenter:Brady Kachuk called it a unique opportunity to meet Elmo. Do we have a mascot for these Olympics? The official mascots for Olympic Games. It's in Italy, right? They always crack me up. Yeah. It's just a big meatball. Is it? That would be funny if it was like an Otto the Orange meatball. Max, you got to put on your... Find me that mascot. I feel like that was anti-Italian discrimination by you not knowing that it was in Italy. How did you not know that it was? I knew it was in Italy. I just couldn't remember. Is it Torino? No. It's Milan. Torino was the last one. There's two cities. Oh. It's split.

38:28Milan and where?

38:29PFT Commenter:I haven't watched a lot of the Olympics. I'm waiting for the hockey to get good. The quad god. Did you see that? The U.S. dominated today. This was the first one that I watched from start to finish. Yeah, but I want the knockout phase. I'm ready for the knockout phase. Because it wasn't the beginning of the hockey. It's like, we're going to be in the knockout. That's what I like about the curling is the curling. It seems like it lasts from the very start to the very end of the Olympics. It's like always kind of on in the back. Well, it's like there's 10 teams and everyone plays each other. And then there's a final four starting on Thursday.

39:00Oh, we do have an update to that biathlete that apologized to his girlfriend for cheating on her. She said that she was not impressed and is not taking him back. Good for her. Yeah.

39:09PFT Commenter:Girl power. Should have been a gold. She takes them back. So we're playing Sweden or Latvia. That's our next game on Wednesday. We're going to crush them. And then if we get to the finals, it's Sunday morning at 8 a.m. Kind of love that. Love sports Sunday mornings at 8 a.m. It's good. It's real good. Especially in foreign soil. International. Love that shit. Pumped. It has to be U.S. Canada. It has to be. If the Olympics, if they were anything like our fancy American sports leagues or like FIFA, they would rig it to make sure that U.S. and Canada played no matter what. I hope they do the right thing.

39:48PFT Commenter:Yeah, I'd agree. Did you guys hear the crazy story from the Olympic Village? On having sex again? Yeah. Listen, there's a few different rites of passage that you have every single Olympic Games. one is like a reporter complaining about their hotel room and like uh the the faucet was just installed and it just shoots out brown water and i'm going to complain yeah there's wolves walking down the hallway uh there's usually there's actually usually a curling controversy or an ice controversy like we've had this year and then there's a sex talk with condoms and then there's always some person being like why is this a story every time and there really is no reason other than the fact that it's a bunch of super athletic early 20 year olds living in a village.

40:33PFT Commenter:It's college. It's college with only hot bodies. Yeah. They're going to fuck. It's ASU. They're definitely going to. That's all it is. It's ASU. That's what's happening in Milan right now. So everyone's just mogging each other. Yeah. Well, who are these two mascots here? That would be Milo and Tina. Milo and Tina. What are they? Otters? I don't know. What the fuck are they? Milan and Cortina. I think that's where it's taking place. I think they're climate-changing weasels. Oh, no. Are they related? Shame on you, Max. Climate-changing weasels. Maybe a ferret. Ferrets? Weasels? If they're climate-changing weasels, they get hot and cold?

41:19PFT Commenter:It should have been a meatball. They're wearing little Italian flags. Should have been a meatball. I need to know more about the lore behind these two. Are they brother or sister? Why do they look different? Poland's mascot is a pierogi. That's awesome. They are brother and sister. Okay, good, good. How come they look different? Different dad? Different mom? Older sister Tina represents the Olympic Winter Games. Younger brother Milo represents the Paralympics and has a limb difference. Wait, so the younger brother. He's missing one leg and uses his tail to, I don't know. Okay, yeah, for the Paralympics.

41:51This is right. This is good. This is from NBC.com. Okay. So the younger one is an amputee. He's lost a leg. His motto is obstacles are trampolines. Okay.

42:06PFT Commenter:While the sister lives by the words dream big. That seems more dangerous for a Paralympic, right? Yeah. If all the obstacles were trampolines. Do we know how he lost his leg? Is this a landmine? Getting double bounce with only one leg? Yeah. On a trampoline? That can't be fun. That could be how he lost a leg, too. Yeah. By the way, the medal update, Norway's kicking everyone's ass. I don't care about the silver and bronze. I just want the gold. We're in third right now. Canada has one gold medal. Disgusting. That's sad. Yeah, really sad. Really fucking sad. Milo and Tina. Tina could get it. Yeah, I said it.

42:49PFT Commenter:What are they? Are they weasels? They're technically stoats. A weasel-like creature native to the Italian Alps. They're cute as fuck. Stote. Stote. They're cute as fuck. All right. Any other Olympic stuff? I still have yet to watch a significant portion of the Olympics. I'm going to do it this week. No. Their coats change color. Oh. In the summer, they are brown. And then in the winter, they change to white. It's one way that stoats adapt to their climate. This is a fun art. How can we celebrate stoats, but then we lock Rachel Dolezal up in prison shout out to nbc fun article what hank's got a take hank's brewing on a take and i want to hear it let it rip really bad go i want it so bad right now you don't like you don't like other countries come on now this is something this is a drunk this is a drunk take that let's go but the the conversation i think we did summer olympics when we talk about olympic sports you and meddling yeah oh i like this the skeleton yeah is a joke well i don't know i think that's actually like proven fact that the average amount of person to take they have three years experience yeah i also think that the skeleton is terrifying i also saw one tweet that said that i have no idea if that's actually true it was a reply tweet to someone being like what should i maybe we need to get a skeleton or a loser on here uh to tell us we're so wrong how do you even trained that's my that is my biggest gripe with some of these sports when you're watching michael phelps swim or usain bolt run you're like that is the greatest runner or swimmer of all time right like he's better than everyone when i watched the best lusier win by a fraction of a second i'm like well that guy just decided to do luge 99.9 of the world just doesn't do luge Why would we do luge?

44:48That dude's got a great helmet and a very fast suit, and he's like a jockey, weighs the exact right amount, and then he trains occasionally. It doesn't feel like it requires that much skill, but it does seem scary as fuck.

45:01PFT Commenter:I think the only skill it requires is having a parent who's hell-bent on getting their kid in the Olympics, and they just throw him on a luge when they're kids. Yeah. Because I don't know how you... I've never even been around a luge. No. I haven't seen a luge track. Like, how do you get into the luge? How do you get into the skeleton? Bobsled seems like a fucking good time, because that's just you and the boys going down a hill. Yeah, also one of the greatest movies of all time. Yeah. Bobsled is legit. So maybe that's the thing. Luge has to get a sick movie. The skeleton. Is there a difference?

45:33PFT Commenter:Yeah, luge's feet first, skeleton's head first. But same thing. Is it a thing that there's actually partners? Is that not right, Max? There's partner luge? I have no idea. I feel like it's all about your equipment. Right, but that's not... And your get-off. I feel like it's got to be your get-off. We make jokes about... It's just running fast to start. I mean, Cool Runnings proved it. Right. They just got a bunch of sprinters and almost won the whole thing. We make jokes about LeBron. I also don't think that that's true. I don't think that they almost won the whole thing. Feel the rhyme. If they didn't crash in the very end, if they had a better bobsled, they were breaking records.

46:11But here's a stone cold fact. Darius Bannock was flying. If the University of Georgia wanted to. Correct. They could take their guys that love to break the laws on the roads, put them on a bobsled track, and become a dynasty. Devon H.A.

46:26PFT Commenter:would be the best loser of all time. Like, give me a not a super tall guy who's super fast. Tyreek Hill, Brandon Ayuk. I think I also have just realized all of our knowledge of this is based on cool runnings. Correct. I was trying to explain it to Hank, and we both were just saying that we were both going back to cool. You can't put weights in the bobsled. Yeah. Can't do that. Otherwise, they'll bust up John Candy. Web stuff. Web stuff. I'm going to need you to bring up a video of doubles luge. Yeah, those guys just laying on each other. Doubles luge is wild. That is wild. You talk about a wild sport.

47:04Look at that, double luge. I have to think. That's got to be harder than normal luge, at least. Like the balance of the guy on top.

47:12PFT Commenter:But I watched it, and I don't even understand. I actually did watch. I can't remember. I think it was women's luge. And they were all within like.05 seconds of each other. It's like, I don't even understand how. Like, oh, she took that turn wrong. No, she didn't. She went fine down the turn. Yeah, bobsled looks awesome to me. That guy's got his face in his ass. I'm pretty sure that was a Photoshop. That was AI. That was AI. Is there women's doubles luge? there's got to be. I feel like it'd be faster if the guy on top was face down. Well, they should go 69. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. They should 69 the double luge for sure.

47:50PFT Commenter:They don't have women's double luge? That seems like a huge miss. I'm not seeing women's double luge. Oh, that's kind of fucked up. That's a big time miss. Yeah. I'm also searching Twitter, which I have a bad tendency to do. That's okay. Yeah. This has been good Olympic talk. I feel like we've gotten a lot of women's double luge. Yeah, there's women's double luge. Italy won. Good. The European countries all win these. I feel like that's their third biggest sport. We have football. We have basketball. We have baseball. They have soccer. Then some ancient sport where they hit each other with a stick and then luge.

48:29PFT Commenter:I feel like basketball should be a Winter Olympic sport. I don't hate that take. It should. Give us something to care about during the Winter Olympics because right now we got hockey and that's pretty much it. Yeah. And you know what? Long jump as well. Yeah, sure. You can do that. Long jump in the snow. Yeah, yeah. Gymnastics is also inside. That could be. Yeah, gymnastics. Why is fencing a summer Olympic sport? I don't know.

48:58PFT Commenter:That's good Olympic talk. Good Olympic talk. Good Olympic talk. I'm going to watch some Olympics this week. I'm going to really get into it. I think I'm going to become a big curling. And when I say that, I'm going to watch. If I remember to turn it on, I will. Curling is tough. I started to watch it this morning. It's bocce without the Italians, without a fat Italians having like busting each other's balls. That's really what it needs. Bocce would be fun. Bocce would be great. Just some like old Italian guys just, you know, having the same bitter argument they've had every single week for 40 years straight.

49:27PFT Commenter:Bocce should absolutely be in the summer. Now that's a summer Olympic sport. That's a definition of a summer sport. Correct. So curling to me seems like it's a sport that's normally played with a beer in your hand. Right? Uh, yeah. No, bocce. You're thinking of bocce. No, but I know for a fact bocce, but it seems like curling would be the indoor equivalent. How would you hold the broom? Yeah, you got to. There's definitely some guys that can hold the broom and the beer. Or maybe you put your beer down while you do it. What if we did an Olympics, but it was all beer games? Whoa. And then you have like different teams competing against it.

50:05Yeah. What would you call it? Beer Olympics. Beer games. Get like Bert and Shane to come.

50:14PFT Commenter:Be fucking sick. Be so sick. I'm down. Okay. Any other national sports? Should we talk some college basketball? Actually not the best Saturday, although Texas Tech awesome win against Arizona. I'll just say this. I made two topics I want to talk about, but I did make some future bets. I tweeted it out when I made them, but I bet Florida 19 to 1, UConn 15 to 1, and the Badgers at 150 to 1 because the Badgers just keep slaying Giants and have had quite the week. And Max is the biggest Badger fan out there, which is great. Max is? Well, because Villanova beat Wisconsin in December. We have no good wins.

50:53PFT Commenter:It's the better for Villanova. The better Wisconsin does. I was told that Villanova is solid in. They're solid. Locked to get in. I think the Badgers are solid in now Yeah, I think we're both at an 8 8 seed right now, which is still That's solid in I mean, it was awesome Kicking the shit out of Michigan State was very, very fun The other one was That foul in the Providence-St. John's game Providence is They gotta get rid of Kim English Because it feels like I love Providence Twitter But it feels like Providence Twitter and this is not their fault because it's the fans, but Providence as a program has become way more about getting revenge than actually winning basketball games.

51:39PFT Commenter:Like, can't wait for Ed Cooley to come back to the dunk. Can't wait for Bryce Hopkins to come back to the dunk. And they just haven't won basketball games. Again, that's Kim English's fault. But we got to get back to winning basketball games. But when they lose, it's like they've got the real game coming up. Dude. It's like, how are we going to get revenge for this loss? That actually was a crazy foul because it wasn't – It was bad. The picture is so much worse. For people who didn't see it, the picture of Powell taking down Bryce Hopkins by the face. And then they just had a brawl, and they let Powell just, while the rest were figuring out, they ejected him, and then he just stayed out on the court for like 20 minutes, whooping up the crowd.

52:19PFT Commenter:So that was an interesting move. And listen, if you have that haircut and you commit that foul, just understand it's going to look a million times. You're not going to get the benefit of any doubt. Hank, ready? NIL, back to your take. Good take. This was Duncan Powell, who is on Providence for the first year. This is his first year playing for Providence. I think he's played for three other schools. Seeking vengeance because Bryce Hopkins transferred from Providence to St. John's, and he's on his second school, or another school. So they never played together, but he's getting revenge. makes no sense it was a double reverse revenge game yeah yeah that was that was a hell of a foul hell of a foul hell of a foul and then i i just hang jerome tang yeah see uh i don't really understand what the with cause part it feels like it's gonna be so wait duncan powell that was that was his this is his fourth team that he's playing on so uh he's gotta he's gotta make sure that But for the Friars, he, you know.

53:29PFT Commenter:This time it's personal. Yeah, this time it's personal. He's been on Providence. He's bought in. For over four months. And that's Bryce Hopkins' third team. This dude's bought in. Classic rivalry. Yep. Fourth team guy versus third team guy. They never played together. Yeah, Jerome Tang, the with cause part is going to be interesting to see what happens. With cause sounds like they were saying, hey, Jerome, you might want to resign soon. Yeah. And then he was like, no, I don't think that I will. And they said, okay, well, we have four cause. And then Tang was like, I don't believe that you do. And then they said, okay, we'll call your bluff.

54:04And now it's going to go to court.

54:05PFT Commenter:Yeah. So that'll be fun. Yeah. That is going to be. It's going to be a lot of rumors that float around out there. I don't know. It could just be as simple as him trashing all the players the other night in the press conference. Yeah. And then we also had. So the language is anything that brings public disrepute, embarrassment, or ridicule to Kansas State. Yeah. Which I guess could be, how many in-conference wins do they have right now? They're not very good. One? Yeah. One. That brings ridicule to Kansas State. Well, we have the ultimate, the reason why this college basketball season is good, it's two parts.

54:41PFT Commenter:One is that there's like 10 teams that you could make the argument are national title worthy teams. Maybe not 10, but eight, let's call it. And the other part is just some of these teams are just picking off each other left and right in the funniest way. It's like Iowa State just Kansas beats Arizona on Big Monday, which was an awesome game. Iowa State then loses to TCU on Tuesday. Then they play each other and Iowa State kicks the shit out of Kansas. Big 12 has been madness. Arizona's now lost two in a row after starting the season undefeated. It's fun. I'm having fun. What did you learn about the bubble there, Max?

55:21PFT Commenter:You just did a little. Right now, according to ESPN, Wisconsin is a should-be-in. I mean, we have two of, you could make the argument, two of the best. Two of the best wins. We've beaten three top ten teams, two of them on the road. Michigan's only loss. And then Villanova? Villanova lock, according to ESPN. Lock. I'm not saying that, but they are. Big East is down, huh? Yeah, only three teams are locked. Zero teams should be in. Seton Hall has work to do. And that's it. Poor Pug. I hope so. Yeah, really poor Pug. They started off so hot. They started off so hot. Guys, I was so bummed out there was no football today.

56:03I saw Pug's tweet. Yeah, I saw that too, and it made me sad.

56:06PFT Commenter:Yeah, really sad. Yeah, although it's good to have a little break. It is. If you told me next week was week one, I'd be in. But I needed one weekend. Yeah, absence makes the heart grow fun. Where's Miami of Ohio? Where are they ranked right now? 23rd, I believe. They're in the weird spot of being a MAAC team where they should be okay, but it's going to be bullshit because if they trip up and don't win the conference tournament, it's just going to be bullshit. I'm already pre-mad about it. They're a fun team. I'm pre-mad about it. Big Ben won't let that happen. Yeah, so Big Ben, turns out he might not be the best guy.

56:42PFT Commenter:No, I don't want to hear that. What? Why was that such a story other than, I mean, Joey Porter, he said something that we all know, and then it just got, the message got weirdly changed to like Big Ben wasn't good. Big Ben was really good. Big Ben was awesome. Really good at football. Like until the last, I'd say two, three seasons. Big Ben. He was incredible. So much better of a football player than human being. And we all knew that. Yeah. And nothing changed. Yeah, I know a lot of people are doing the Big Ben, got carried to his first Super Bowl. I'm pretty sure his... That's true. His first Super Bowl, yes.

57:24PFT Commenter:No, but I'm pretty sure he balled out in the games before. The actual Super Bowl, yes. Yeah. But I'm pretty sure the games before that, he balled out pretty... Like, he was pretty damn good. The game against the Seahawks, he did not play well. And he had that... But he did have that game-saving tackle against the Colts. Remember that? Yeah. Yeah, he went seven touchdowns, one interception in the three games leading up to the Super Bowl. Yeah, that tackle that he had after that goal line fumble, that was everything for the Steelers. AFC Championship game, he was 21 for 29, 275 yards, two touchdowns, zero interceptions.

58:02Yeah, and the second Super Bowl against the Cardinals, incredible game. That was one of the best games ever. Yeah, yeah.

58:09PFT Commenter:So, Big Ben, though, not a good guy. So Big Ben, we do need to have you stand up for Miami of Ohio just in case things go off the rails. We need Big Ben, stand back, stand by. Big Ben definitely. So he went to this bull riding thing in Pittsburgh this weekend. He definitely went to it just to do a little pulse check and be like, people still love me, right? And they do in Pittsburgh. Oh, yeah. And just like to talk. I don't think it's a problem. He probably did it just to talk to the other Cowboys and be like, so what injuries do you have? Yeah. Yeah, I had that. Yeah, I had that. yeah I had that one oh this seems pretty yeah I had that he just wanted swap war stories yeah absolutely okay do we have any other stories before we do uh who's back the week and then we'll get to Jameis oh congrats Hank on the four aces yeah was that your who's back the week it was shit all right so then congrats Hank on uh us not being mad about the Australia game because it It might be on a Wednesday, and we're down for that.

59:09PFT Commenter:So they might go Wednesday, Thursday to start the NFL season. If it's Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, college Saturday, NFL Sunday, Monday, that would be awesome. I don't think they're going to do Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Why not? I don't know. Why wouldn't they? Yeah, they would. They already do Thursday, Friday. Yeah. What's a little Wednesday? Why not? I just think they'd swap the Friday to the Wednesday. Wednesday night football is... Friday isn't the best for ratings. I agree. I would love it. It's better than zero. How do you start the season without the champs? That would piss me off. No, but they can do Thursday in Australia.

59:48PFT Commenter:Right, but then is that also bullshit that Wednesday is for the Seahawks? Would you feel a little slighted? No, that would be great. You get an extra day of rest before week two. But in terms of the pomp and circumstance of Wednesday night football. No. Here's the thing. I'd feel a little slighted. I think whichever teams, it's going to be the Rams and the 49ers playing over in Australia, right? In Melbourne. That game has to be on Wednesday night. It has to. Because they're going to be playing it Thursday night Australia time. It'll be on Wednesday. And then the flight back for those two teams is 16 hours.

1:00:26Yeah, yeah. We talked about this. That's how they were going to start the season with it. They're going to need to give them plenty of rest. I don't think that they're going to put the Seahawks on Wednesday and then move them to one day later in Australia.

1:00:38PFT Commenter:I think this is guaranteed. Yeah, so then that's bullshit for the Seahawks. They don't open the season. Yeah. Yeah, that would be bullshit. I think it's all. I could be proven very wrong, but I think the Bears are going to put the Bears Seahawks because now if the Rams and 49ers are playing in Australia, it would make sense it was Ram Seahawks But we're on the Seahawks schedule in Seattle. So I think they're going to do that. Cowboys, maybe? Just get ready for all the primetime games, which I do not want. Yeah, look up the Seahawks. I know the Patriots are on their schedule as well. Super Bowl rematch?

1:01:15PFT Commenter:Super Bowl rematch. We'd have to ask you about Sam Darnold. I'm betting the Patriots because you guys ran out. That fourth quarter from Drake May was unreal. Just starting to heat up. Well, no, Chiefs because Mahomes is not going to be back. So, yeah, I think it's going to be the Bears. So it could be the Cowboys, the Chargers. I don't think they'll do Super Bowl rematch because Super Bowl wasn't great. The Bears. It wasn't like an instant classic. Cowboys, Chargers, Bears. Those are my three picks. You got to pick one. I'll go Cowboys. I'm going to bet that they smash the Cowboys button. They might.

1:01:51Although the Cowboys might just use the Sunday night football.

1:01:54PFT Commenter:That's true. They love doing that. Cowboys, Giants, Sunday night football. They love that shit. They love that shit. Here we are talking about football. Feels good. Okay, who's back of the week? Let's do who's back of the week, then we'll get to Jameis. Good Olympics talk. Maybe we'll come. How about everyone for Wednesday's show? Let's all come with a fact on a certain sport, a specific sport from the Winter Olympics. Okay. You know what I'm saying? We'll divide it on the group text. So there's no, but let's all come with maybe a little story about whatever sport you choose. So no double dipping.

1:02:31PFT Commenter:No double dipping. What are we doing? We're going to do a little homework. Wednesday show, everyone come with a little something about a sport, a winter Olympic sport. You pick one and you just dive in for a minute. All right. I mean, don't have to do a lot. It has to be one that is currently still going. Yes. Yeah, that's coming up. Let's say it's going to be on Wednesday or Thursday so that we can preview it. Like a medal match. Yeah, we're going to need a schedule to figure this out. Yeah. We can handle that. That homework assignment almost crushed it. No, no, no, no. Just look at Jeff D. Lowe's Twitter.

1:03:13He's got you. I put in a bunch of bets before I went to Florida and none of them have happened. Yeah.

1:03:22PFT Commenter:I love when that happens. Like, I was like, all right, I'll have some action. I once did that when I had a bookie like 15 years ago. I put in a cricket game that was like a year away. I thought I was betting it like overnight to wake up to it. Oh, this sucks. Okay. Who's back the week? Dedication isn't born in the light of day. It's carved in the quiet hours before the world blinks awake. At Force Head, we rise with a mission to deliver craftsmanship worthy of your table. A slice of something special folded into every moment worth savoring. Because dedication means delivering only the very best.

1:04:07PFT Commenter:Force Head, committed to craft since 1905. Hank, who's back of the week? Who's back of the week is Anthony Kim and the Four Aces. Yeah. I didn't know he was on the Four Aces. oh thanks he's impact free agent yeah patrick reed left very oh this is tough yeah thanks getting choked up with emotion for his beloved four aces got him finally did i mean honestly this is one of the coolest stories in the history of sports why don't you take tomorrow off patrick reed yeah left okay two weeks ago same time as like right after brooks he's not going back to the PGA Tour. He's trying to go the DP Tour route.

1:04:50PFT Commenter:This has been happening to me every day. The more I talk, my voice is going to be. When did you lose your voice? On Thursday. That's a long time ago. Friday. I didn't talk much, and then I started to talk a little bit, and then I lost it. Same with yesterday, same with today. Come on, Nick. Should we slow clap for you? This is Anthony Kim's first week as a four ace. Yeah. Okay. He's replacing Patrick Reed, so it's Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, And then the two Toms, the Tom Towers, Thomas Peters, Thomas Deachery. And Anthony Kim won. He beat Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau. Yeah. Wow. And he had to grind his way back to even playing on the live tour, right?

1:05:34Yeah, he got kicked off basically for not performing well enough.

1:05:38PFT Commenter:And then they have their version of QSchool where it's like 60 golfers, three guys. If you finish the top three, you get your card. Right. And he won, or he came in third just to keep his guard. So he was very close. A couple shots here, a couple shots there. He's not even on live. And then he won this event. Good for him. All-time comeback story. Very cool. All-time comeback story. Huge for the four aces. What is he coming back from? Cocaine. Okay. And an Achilles. And some injuries. And an Achilles injury. Okay, but mostly the cocaine. And being retired for like 10 years. Because of the Achilles injury.

1:06:13PFT Commenter:Got it. Yeah. Got it. that's what an inspiration yeah it is inspiring i mean he he has like there's there's i read i read an article on the way back about you know his passing when he quit golf and why he stopped and his like substance abuse issues and then getting sober he had a daughter and you know his daughter basically gave him a purpose in life and oh interesting you know he posts so golf wasn't his purpose his kid was yeah well he had a dad like he had a tough childhood where his dad was kind of... But kid over golf? No. I mean, a kid made him want to golf more. That's a great point, Hank.

1:06:50The kid made him want to focus on life to improve his golf game to provide a better life for his own kid. Got it. Very cool story. And it's interesting. People are asking, are the four aces better without Patrick Reed? And the other guy. Dustin Johnson. Or is he still on the aces? Dustin Johnson's the captain of the voice. He's the ace. Okay, he's the ace. That's what you're talking about.

1:07:18PFT Commenter:He's the ace of spades? Wait, there are five aces? No, there's four. Anthony Kim, Tom Powers. Tom Peters. No, I know, but it's the Tom Towers. Tom Towers. Tom Towers. And Anthony Kim. And Tom's teacher. Two Toms. Tom Towers. Two Toms, Dustin, Anthony. Got it. How many minutes do you think we've talked about just the four aces? A lot. It's got to be over 100, right? Well, now that Brooks is gone, it's like we were actually watching live a lot this weekend because it was on at night. And Brooks not being in it has to ruin the luster. Now it's on sports time, sports watching time. Right. Well, sports watching time never ends because we've got international.

1:08:07PFT Commenter:Yeah, it's night. Sports watch at night. Nighttime. And morning. Yeah, but I like to watch sports at night. Well, and morning. No, I'm done. NFL. I'm done. Oh, yeah, that's right. That's right. And you can tell that Hank just recently, like the Tom Towers, that's a new thing, a mnemonic device he came up with recently to try to remember both Toms. No, yeah, because one of my friends asked me and I forgot. You're proud of the Tom Towers, though. I can tell. We cannot have either of these Toms leave the 4A. Also, we need to find out. We need a t-shirt for Tom Towers. I need to know how tall the Tom Towers are.

1:08:40Like, are they actually tall?

1:08:43PFT Commenter:Dude, if one of the Toms leaves the four aces, Hank is going to be so fucked. 6 '5". Okay. That's a Towers. Oh, yeah. And then the other is... And then Thomas Dietry. Let's get him. He better be tall. Both from Belgium. 6 '2". Yeah, Tom Towers. Peter Uland was on four ace for life for me. Because I said that, and I was like, fuck. It's not your grandfather's four aces anymore. this is four aces but louder yeah okay pft your who's back of the week uh my who's back of the week is the nfl union report cards yeah nfl pa report cards because so the judge ruled that uh the report cards were too mean and they were being very very disrespectful and unfair and nasty to mr woody johnson so they're not allowed to put out the report cards this year at least not through the media but the upshot of this was through the arbitration and the deliberation the guy in his decision ended up quoting directly from the upcoming 2025 nfl team report cards in his decision to not allow them to release the report cards okay so we did get some of the report cards oh even though they're not allowed to put the report cards out got it does that make sense yeah i don't even know if that makes sense but that's how it happened um so memes you were upset because you thought that they were going to silence all the players talking about Woody Johnson.

1:10:03Not the case. We've got some Woody Johnson content for you if you'd like to hear. How did the Jets do? Okay, New York Jets. The union said players complained that management responded to feedback from the prior team report card by making conditions worse, including cutting the food budget, not retaining a longtime dietician after poor food grades the prior year. The union also graded owner Woody Johnson an F, the lowest owner rating in the league, 5.58 out of 10, which, according to players, resulted from his perceived unwillingness to invest in facilities. Players cited perceived top leadership issues with some describing issues as top-down problems, reflecting ownership concerns.

1:10:45So Woody Johnson took all the stuff that he got made fun of for last year and he responded by being like, oh, yeah, you haven't begun to see how shitty I can get. I'm going to make it all worse. Okay. So at least you got some notification of Woody Johnson being a giant asshole out in the media anyways, memes.

1:11:08PFT Commenter:Feel good, memes? You okay, memes? No. Woody Johnson just, you know. He's got to go. He's got to die. He's got to die. He's got to. Memes, I thought you'd be glad. I mean, not really. Nothing's going to change But isn't this what you wanted? You wanted more people talking about this He's in the Epstein files You want people to talk about that Yeah, but nobody's talking about that We are right now They're only talking about Tisch National Sports Podcast We've got to talk about it more People are only reporting on Tisch from the Giants Yeah And they're only reporting about food for the Jets What else should they be reporting on?

1:11:47He's in the files Yeah He's in them Yeah There was one email that was like Like, Jets just lost to the Dolphins.

1:11:55PFT Commenter:I don't mean to laugh, but it's so clear that Memes has gone through all the files. He's seen every file just to look. He's doing control F for Woody Johnson. I think the funniest one was the email was like, Jets just lost to the Dolphins on Woody's birthday, and he's not happy right now. And, like, that's just how the decisions get made in the Jets. And they're like, he'll just take the food away because they lost to the Dolphins. Yeah. And somebody's just letting Jeff know about this. I can't listen memes it sucks because it's the Jets it's your team but I I would if I was an owner of NFL team I don't know if I'd run it much differently like I think I'd probably do kind of shit like that like yeah you know what we lost fuck you guys ice cream machine closed for the day yeah when you put it that way they are all they do is lose so you got to take stuff way right exactly like i think i would probably do shit like that or like you know have my son decide the coaching decisions based off his xbox season yeah but brick johnson to his credit devontae adams good wide receiver fair yeah yeah very good it's a great decision what about the other guys on aaron rogers wish list they're pretty good too yeah but that's aaron rogers that's not brick johnson whose idea was to get aaron rogers that was probably brick that's probably bob we'll go bob with that one we'll go bob fuck you bob yeah fuck you uh we also have some stuff in this report from the eagles the union highlighted that players are frustrated that meal times overlap with the organization's business staff leading to crowding and limited seats and feel they should get first class seats on team flights instead of the coaching staff what do you think about that max i kind of agree with that why aren't i don't understand why that But coaches, guess what?

1:13:43It's in your name. You sit coach.

1:13:46PFT Commenter:I got a question. Pretty cut and dry. Why don't the team owners just have planes that are just all first class? I thought that's how it went. I don't think it does. That makes no sense to me, though. Have it make the whole plane out of first class. You can't do that. Why not? There's no way they're going three deep. No, they're not going three deep. I bet you they all get their own rows. What's the difference between that and first class? A big difference because if you put your seat back, you're fucked. You're still scrunched. Nobody would ever put their seat back in coach and then lay across three seats.

1:14:29There's no way there's a scrunch. There's no way. There's a huge difference between. But we're looking at this like it's like the United from Chicago to. I think it is. To New York. There's no way. Yeah, I think it is. There's no way. I think it depends on which team.

1:14:46PFT Commenter:Eagles team playing. I think if you're doing well, like Robert Kraft has a nice jet. Real nice jet. Philadelphia Eagles utilize American Airlines as their official charter partner for team travel, frequently using large aircraft like Boeing 777s. Yeah. Yeah, they're just using regular planes. That's crazy to me. I don't understand how an NFL team. That does not look like a regular plane. What? Plane, they're expensive as fuck. Yeah, because it's got Eagles. How much is a triple seven? It's 2D all the way back. Yeah. I think I could probably get you a triple seven for, I'm just going to guess, 55 mil.

1:15:27Triple seven is going to cost 450 mil. That's bullshit. We got one for free from Qatar. Pre-owned. You can get it for 15 mil. Yeah, there you go. Of course I'm not talking straight off the assembly line. Take me down to the boneyard. I'll get you one for 10 mil.

1:15:44PFT Commenter:The new variant is 440 mil. Yeah, we're not getting a new. Make the whole plane first class for the boys. You're not getting a new plane for a football team. Those guys are just going to chew it up. Yeah, true. Okay, my who's back is Michael Jordan because he won the Daytona 500. No big deal. Okay, good job, Mike. And then he happened to know a young kid who is probably his friend's kid, and he grabbed his shirt a few times. And people are freaking out, grabbing his shirt. Max is sitting there watching it with his just disgusting allegations. I mean, he's putting a finger up this kid's ass. No, he's not.

1:16:22PFT Commenter:He is not. He's grabbing his shirt, Max. And it's probably a kid he knows. it's like you that's cool no but listen if you have kids and you have friends who have kids you wrestle with the kids he's grabbing his shirt you guys are being weirdos I mean I understand the horseplay excuse I don't know that it seems like aggressive horseplay he's grabbing his shirt and you don't think it matters that it's his friends kids a kid he knows if it's a complete stranger that's a different story It's like that guy's son. He's grabbing his shirt. Also, his shirt. This kind of sucks for that kid that this video is now out there everywhere.

1:17:06PFT Commenter:MJ touched him. What are the boys doing in here? It's way too early to be in here, boys. Way too early to be in here. Way too early to be in here. But they can be in here. They want to be in here. But it's way too early. No, this is like. We still got Zach to do Who's Back. Then we got to do ads. And we got to do vacation talk. But you can come in. This is like the worst thing to happen to this kid It's bad that this video is everywhere Like the kid that was on the Nirvana album cover He says that's the worst thing that's ever happened to him in his life All the kids that hung out with Michael Jackson That they even said nothing bad happened to them Alright, now we're getting crazy compared to Michael Jackson Michael Jackson was never convicted of anything This kid, his dad is probably a billionaire He's gonna be okay I'm just saying, not a great day for that kid All things considered, you would rather not have That video out of you as a kid I don't even know if the kid will know He's like four Max was like Hey, did you see this?

1:18:08PFT Commenter:MJ's got his finger up his ass And I watched it, not even close People were talking about it It had to be talked about Well, we talked about it It's a bad look He's grabbing his shirt I don't think he's actually he's grabbing his shirt he's trying to be he's grabbing his butt wild Uncle Mike he's grabbing his shirt alright Zach my who's back of the week this week we're just gonna be an update for you guys we talked we talked Golden Auction a couple weeks ago you guys remember that we were talking PSA 10 Pokemon Illustrator cards we have final say you said that word way too fast oh which after the Golden Auction oh the the PSA 10 there we go Pikachu Illustrator card from our WWE wrestler Logan Paul.

1:18:54The sale went down. How much? $13 million. Holy fuck. And he bought it for like$5.1 in 2022. Didn't he scam a bunch of his fans? I think those might be different controversies. I think those are digital scams. Okay. That was the NFT situation. Did he not sell ownership of this exact card? Like the digital NFT ownership, I believe, but not the physical tangible ownership.

1:19:19PFT Commenter:Was Logan Paul the one with the clip with Brady? Yeah, very clearly That was the most choreographed, fakest clip ever That people were like, oh my god, look at this They have a flag football game in Saudi Arabia Yeah, listen, I'm an athlete, okay? I can't believe people actually thought that was a real conversation Like, wow, Tom Brady just pressed Logan Paul Yeah Alright, so he sold it for$12.5 million yeah i think the auction went in like over a little bit over time for like 13 who who's buying this that was that's my biggest question is like where do you put this like do you do you buy it then go sell it in a couple more years and think you're gonna get like 36 million yeah i guess i think you just buy it knowing that you can scam a lot of people with this card with like with counterfeit ones no you can do so you can run back the same scams that oh same play that logan Paul was running, and now you're making money every year on the old scams.

1:20:18Yeah.

1:20:18PFT Commenter:Yeah. Are you a, Zach, are you a card collector? I'm not a card collector. I enjoy doing, like, the pack of rips. My brother's a card collector. I'll, like, open the packs with him. I like the chase of it, but not the collecting aspect as much. It is fun. It is fun. Like, the blind boxes are so much fun. So much fun. Because you just, it could be anything. Anything. Literally anything. It could be a Pokemon illustrator. It could be the worst thing ever or generational wealth. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Okay, good job Good job, Zach And just a digital scam, so not a real scam Yeah, I think a lot of it was digitally scamming, not physical Not hard copy scams, no So it's not a big deal And it might have been like I think it's like blockchain scam So it's like deregulated scam Got it, got it, okay I think that's still scam though Yeah, no it is It doesn't make it any better, we're just clearing up the Yeah, but if you say digital before BFT It's fine Yeah.

1:21:13PFT Commenter:It's a digital scam. Okay. Let's do a couple ads, and we have Jameis Winston. Like I said, I teased it, but some news that will make everyone very happy with Jameis Winston coming up after a couple ads. Iconic summer moments deserve an iconic drink. Try the new cans today. taste the difference and make a difference all new still blue coffee can latte is now available at still blue coffee.com or subscribe on amazon for 10 off okay we now welcome on a very very very very very very special guest one of our absolute favorites it is jamis winston here with us it is uh we're taping this on thursday before the super bowl we're running it after the super bowl but you're here with madden let's start with that Who's going to be on the cover and why should it be you? It should be you. I wish I did have the opportunity to be on the cover.

1:23:12First of all, I'm so happy and grateful to be with you two yet again. Yes. Every time we unite, we make masterpieces. Yes. And I'm grateful for that. I like the glasses too. Thank you. Thank you. Are those new? These are metas.

1:23:25PFT Commenter:Oh, they are. Are you taping us right now? I'm not. I'm not taping you. You can if you want. I'll tape you. You tape me. Okay. Thank you. Yeah. Yeah. Let's do it. It's a tape. Bang. Yeah. Put this in. Mine's dead. Oh, okay. I need my charger. But you're still going to record me. But thank you. All right, so you're not going to be on the cover? You should be on the cover. I would love to be on the cover. But I don't know who's going to be on the cover. Like, this year, I feel like Jameer Gibbs was the most exciting player that I've seen. Like, with my two eyes. But outside of that, I'm not just going to say, hey, put Stafford on the cover.

1:23:57Yeah. Because he's, like, in the MVP running. I feel like back in the day, the cover used to actually mean something.

1:24:03PFT Commenter:Yeah. Yeah, we got to get it. Yeah, so we got to get, I mean, Drake May would probably be if he wins the Super Bowl. JSN. JSN would be a good one. Yeah. Because he's been balling. A guy you know, Cam Scadaboo. Oh, my gosh. Already? That'd be a fun Madden cover. No, he's definitely going to be on the cover very soon. Yeah. All right, but six games and make the cover. Right. But it was an impactful six games. I feel like he'd be the most fun. It was the most impactful six games ever. Yeah. I want to play with Cam Scadaboo as my running back. He should definitely probably get a 99 just because the energy and violence.

1:24:34Yeah. Like he is so dumb. 99 violence.

1:24:36PFT Commenter:What was he like when you first met him? And you're like, oh man, this, this cat's different. Man. One thing about him and Jackson and, and Abdul, they were the most confident kids. And I'll say kids because they look like freaking kids. Yeah. Right. Like did I ever met in my life? Right. They just walk into the NFL locker room. Like they're certain of themselves. Cam is yelling at people already. He doesn't really care if you're a 12-year vet or if you're a rookie with him. I just remember him and Abdul Carter about to get into a freaking fist fight because of draft status. Because Cam thought he should be drafted higher.

1:25:11And Abdul, he wouldn't worry about Cam because he wasn't drafted in his position. So it was a beautiful thing to see, seeing the new wave of football with all the NIL. And I feel like the young athlete is being blessed with so many early opportunities. But to have three rookies that are very good come in and be obsessed with football, I was taken away by that.

1:25:34PFT Commenter:Yeah. And listen, I'm not joking when I say you should be on the cover. And I think you know exactly the moment you should be on the cover for. The touchdown against the Lions, which was – we got to find the clip in the gambling cave because we were losing our minds. Can you walk us through that play? And like it was the best touchdown of the year. I'm going to say it right now. Yes, it was the best play of the year. NFL honors, you should definitely acknowledge that. But anyways, I just when the play was called, I looked over to the sideline. I was like, I've been waiting for this moment. Right.

1:26:07So we called a double reverse pass and I see the linebacker. He has his eyes on me. So he's playing really good. Like he's having great eye discipline. But as I get behind him, I throw my hand up because I'm like, Gunnar, like the ball should have been up by now. Not knowing that he's extending the play back there. He throws the ball up. One thing about a quarterback position, you give your receiver a chance. Yes. Yes. Right? A receiver has never caught a ball that's out of bounds, and he don't have a chance. So he gave me a chance. I came back to the ball. I turned around. I gave him a little do-do.

1:26:37You know what I'm saying? That little one-two. I put him in the dirt, and I finished with a nice finger roll. Yeah. You were ready for that. I was upset because the camera cut away from your celebration too soon on that one. Yeah. I mean, it was something that was premeditated. I knew I was going to do that celebration. I practiced that celebration in the dinner room the night before. I got confirmation from my Detroit brothers, Devin Funches and Nick Jones, that I could do this celebration because it was really a Detroit dance called the boss up. The walk was Motown, you know what I'm saying, walking down the Soul Train line.

1:27:08But the dance was called the boss up. So I was bossing up on the Detroit Lions. It was great. It was a beautiful moment. We loved it. And then afterwards, you're like, I'll play tight end if you want me to. I'll line up with tight end. I think a lot of guys would say that. I think you actually would line up at tight end. Man, I have clips, training, running routes. Like this is not something that I'm just talking about. Like I'm obsessed with this game. I love what I do. And if I had to play tight end, I would, but I like playing quarterback. Yeah. Well, we need you to get back out there on the field.

1:27:39Who knows what the next couple months is going to bring? I think that a lot of people are talking about you as potentially being a free agent again. Have you thought about that? Have you thought about what you would ideally like to do next year? Yeah, start. That's ideally. But I'm locked in with the Giants for one more year under contract. So that's exciting to go into a year primarily for family. Right. Like my wife, my kids understand that like daddy gets to at least compete at a place that we're at. Right. Because I think one of the most challenging things about for any athlete that family is important to them is like the moving and the uncertainty of Westnecks.

1:28:18One thing I'm certain about is my abilities. But I am excited to be back with the New York football giants and serve that organization to my very best.

1:28:27PFT Commenter:Have you talked to Coach Harbaugh yet? Yeah. He's the man. He's elite, man. Yeah. Like in the weight room at 5 o 'clock in the morning with yoga pants on. Yeah. Like lifting, lifting heavy. And I asked him, no, not really. He said they were yoga pants. They look like slacks, like chinos. I'm like, Coach, why are you working out in chinos? He's like, oh, they're yoga pants. He's a good culture builder. It feels like things are going to start turning in the right direction. He is certain about his approach. One of my best friends, the past game coordinator for the Cleveland Browns, Danny Breyer, will always rave about his intent in the meetings.

1:29:07He always had intent with what he was saying. He wasn't just coming from left field trying to speak to the teammates. He's not a real rah-rah guy. Everything he did was calculated and intentional. And that's what we need for the football giants. Big time. I like it when you say football giants. I feel like we need to bring that back more. Chris Berman used to always remind us, they're New York football giants. You got to put some stank on it. How do you like living in New York? I live in Jersey. Jersey? But I love being able to wake up. We're right on the Hudson River. We got the city behind us, Hudson Yards.

1:29:42It is unbelievable. Like me and my wife say, like, it don't get old. Yeah. Even with the snow coming down, like ice hills piled like 20 feet in the freaking air. It's iconic. Like me and my son, like freaking, like we're climbing Mount Everest to get to the top of this freaking ice hill. And then I get into the facility and one of the local, I think our video guy, Carm, he asked me, he's like, did you take any trash can lids off? I was like, what am I going to do with the trash can lids? He's like, you go sledding. You take your kids. And then I felt like a failure because I didn't know about trash can leaves.

1:30:16But you can't know until you know. To take my kids sledding. Yeah. So when that opportunity presents itself next time, I'm going to be pushing my kids down at the hill to sled. Yeah, there you go. Yeah, but no, I just think the city, I've always wanted to be a part of something that's more, right? And what New York provides the athlete and really anybody that's there, right? Because it's probably the most diverse place in the world. It's like you really see the American dream when you're able to look at that skyline and you see like, man, One of the funniest things I've ever seen, like, I'm going to my first Yankees game ever, right?

1:30:46We're staying in Harlem, right, at the Renaissance Hotel. And, like, I'm trying to do it right way because I'm like, hey, we could stand in Harlem Renaissance. You know, we're going to take the subway to the Bronx, right, and watch the Yankees play. My first game ever. Man, as we walk on the street, we walk to, like, a little deli down the street. I see, like, this Latino baby, like, six years old, on the phone, walking. Like, in a full conversation. I got my four-year-old at the time who's taller than this six-year-old that's walking on the phone in the stroller because he's asleep. And I'm just like, this is New York City.

1:31:21This is New York. This is the American dream. This six-year-old Latina kid is already having Fortune 500 business calls on his track phone in the streets of Harlem. You know what I'm saying? I'm just like, how? Apollo Theater is right there. And I see this little Latino kid on the phone. Oh, that's so good. That is iconic. Yeah. He's closing deals.

1:31:41PFT Commenter:It is true. New York has got like just characters and everything everywhere. You also, it is a city of opportunity. You had what I would say is the greatest opportunity ever in that you got to have dinner with the Rizzler. So tell us all about the dinner with the Rizzler. Man, it was the greatest rated G dinner that I ever had in my life. Was there a moment where you're like, I'm having dinner with a seven-year-old? I don't even know how old the Rizzler is anymore. He's nine. He's nine. He's nine. The moment was when I saw him, right? Because the Riz has this aura about him where, like, everyone knows who the Riz is, right?

1:32:18So as we're walking into the restaurant, like, I'm getting my coats checked and everything. And, like, you can see the host is, like, she's laughing, like, because she knows who the Riz is. I'm like, hey, can I get my coat checked? It's freezing out here. And you're laughing at this little kid right here. So we're walking up to the restaurant, and, like, everybody wants to shake this guy's hand. And, like, he's a little kid. So he's like, he knows how to handle himself around adults, but his presence is so grand, bro. Like, I'm just like, I'm sitting having dinner with him. We talking about caviar.

1:32:48I'm just like, have you ever had caviar before? He's like, no, I never had it. And I was like, well, you know, it's fish eggs, right? Like, we talking about sushi. I was like, do you like sushi? You know what I'm saying? He's like, I like sushi. So he had this meal where he tried the Japanese uni, right? And uni is a quiet taste. You know what I'm saying? And it looks like yellow paste, but you got to know what you're eating. So he's like, yeah, I love uni. I said, do you know what uni is, Riz? He's like, yeah, of course. And you see those chubby cheeks just looking like he might know because I don't know what his palate takes him.

1:33:21But we sitting there having a conversation, the uni comes out. And he's like, I love this. I'm just like, do you really love this? He ate one bite and he ate the risotto. He didn't eat the uni. you got me wasting money on a meal so that's when I realized I am with a kid the unique thing was my 7 year old was right next to my 7 year old and 5 year old they were sharing jokes back and forth yeah they gotta be big Rizzler fans it was unbelievable did he at least reach for the check at the end of the meal did he pretend like I got it I would not let him do that there's no way I'm gonna let a 9 year old reach over me I got it

1:33:59PFT Commenter:Rizzler might have more money than all of us he could But that's definitely on the table. But I do, like, I was very grateful to meet his pop. Yeah. You know, because in this world, like, when you have kids who work as hard as him, like, in terms of have the fame, you see their parents pushing them and, like, everything. And they're trying to create all these moments. But his dad, Brian, was so chill, such a vibe. Like, he was sharing, like, the moments that they actually have at home. Like, he was geeking out because, you know, he was from Staten Island and, like, his love for the Giants, man.

1:34:30And it was really cool just to see the child come out of his father and to see that connection that they had. Was that the most starstruck you've been since you've been in New York? Had to be. Had to be. Big time business dinners. It was unbelievable. Yeah. Because I'm sitting next to this icon and he's a quarter of the age I am. So I'm just like, what did I do wrong not to be able to be like this kid? I wish I was on my grind when I was nine like you. I wasn't working like him. The 401k for that, if he's putting stuff away every year, he's going to be a billionaire by the time he's like 40 years old.

1:35:04Bro, have you seen his Cribs episode? No, I haven't seen that one. Bro, he's freaking, I think he's like seven in the video and he has stuff in there. I'm just like, who has this type of stuff? You know what I'm saying? How's this kid got these iconic pieces? Yeah.

1:35:20PFT Commenter:I got an idea I want to throw at you because we're going to need your consent to be able to pull off this idea. But it's a long running idea on our show. So when we get into a football season, there's always a bunch of injuries that happen in the quarterback position. It sucks. It's part of the game. But then we get to like week 10 and there's a Monday night game and it's a backup quarterback. And it's like, all right, we don't really want to watch this guy. And we've always said that Jameis Winston should just be like all-time quarterback for any primetime game that doesn't have a good matchup.

1:35:50PFT Commenter:Do you think you could pull that off? We like, hey, Monday, it's like, hey, Jameis, you got to go to Arizona. We're going to need you. They're playing Monday night football against the Cowboys. We need some Jameis. Could you do that? Jacoby played an excellent game. He did. Yeah. But yes. Okay. All right. Good. Good. To playing in everything. Yeah. Playing. Yeah. I get to get on the field. Yes. Sign me up. Yes. Because it's like there are those bummer games, the standalone games later in the season. It's like, you know what this game needs? It needs more Jameis. Thank you. Yeah. I really appreciate it.

1:36:21PFT Commenter:It was you and Joe Flacco. We just have James and Joe Flacco just going around the country wherever you need to go so that we can watch some fun football. It would be electric. Because you always give – like the thing with you is – and I love watching you play, especially this part of your career where it's like maybe you're not a starter every year. But when you get in, you always give your guys a chance. And you're always going to actually like throw the ball downfield. Because what happens a lot with backup quarterbacks, they get in. It's a lot of like five-yard passes, trying to be safe. You're giving your guys a shot.

1:36:53PFT Commenter:every single play. Yeah. Well, the NFL receivers, they deserve a chance. Right. Right? Like, we're not playing fearless. But this year was fun. It was very unique because of the dynamic that we had in our quarterback room with having a Super Bowl winning champ and having a first round pick and having myself who threw for a gazillion yards. So, starting off with Russ being a starter, man, literally, I'm just like, I just remember the day like the back of my hand where I'm excited. Like, that's sound with the New York Football Giants. Two weeks later, I see Russ big smile like what Russ I already know they're gonna draft a young kid like now I gotta I gotta go through him and then um uh training camp gets uh gets here Dave's gives him the position and to see how uh Russ and Jackson were like just being nurtured in this in this system where I'm just like man like me and Tommy DeVito who's with the Patriots now I'm just like man like am I gonna get enough reps like because one he's learned Russ is learning the offense Jackson is a young rookie so he's learning the offense so it's not it's not enough reps for everybody in So it really was a very unique experience for me competing.

1:37:57Right. Like I remember reading Tom Brady's kind of novel with his his sports psychiatrist in Michigan, where Tom was talking about his opportunity at Michigan as the backup. how like every practice rep, he was playing a game rep because he didn't know when was going to be his next opportunity. And then eventually he ended up overtaking the starting position next year, starting to lead him to win the Rose Bowl. Right. So I was had to had to like kind of get into that mode where like every freaking rep that I have, like I don't care if I'm throwing the ball to gunning old chef or some undrafted rookie from, you know, the Opelika Mountains.

1:38:40Man, we're going to make something happen, and we're going to create excitement, and guys are going to want to love playing football when I'm out there on their field. Yeah, and we still do. Every time we get out there, it is exciting to watch. I hope that you get another chance to start. I think that you – well, I know that you definitely have the belief in yourself, and I got the belief in you, and Big Cat has the belief in you that you can do it again. Have you got the sense from other GMs that there could be an opportunity, or would it have to be the right backup spot? I think this role with the dream that Sam Donald is selling right now with being connected with the right minds and being in a good system and being able to take advantage of his opportunity and showing it over and over again.

1:39:22I think that is helping so many of the quarterbacks that get deemed journeymen. It's really just making the most of your opportunity when it's presented. You saw it this year with, what's his name, Mack Jones, right? He got his shot to spin. He went out there and he did what was required. Yeah. So I know it's going to come around again, you know, like buses, 15 minutes. You know, it's going to come around and I'm going to make the most of it.

1:39:49PFT Commenter:How many more years do you think you can play? I would love to play 12 years, right? And that's just 12. Wait, 12 more years? 12 more years. 12 more years? I'm going to be on 12 this year. Because you're going to play 24 years? Yes, I would love to. I love that. Oh my God. I was so nervous asking that question. You're going to be like, I got three more years. No, you got 12 more years? We're halfway? In terms of my arm, like, it's just, I'm blessed. Like, I'm really grateful that God gave me this arm, man. And it's mine, right? So like, I'm growing every year. It's constant growth, right? And just the fun of being able to increase the people that's around you, right?

1:40:28And that's why the tough thing of this year in terms of our team was like, man, going into training camp, like I had a feeling like this was going to be a great squad. Like just the tenacity of our defense, right? How offense with Malik Nabors and young Cam Scadaboo, Tyrone Tracy doing his thing. We had a lead offensive line, great O-line coach. Mike Kafka at the hand calling plays. Like I knew it was going to be good, but it was those fourth quarters, man. It was those fourth quarters where we didn't finish.

1:40:57PFT Commenter:Sign me up for 12 more years, James. Yeah. Thank you. We're just scratching the surface. Start the petition now. Yes. 12 more years. We can say this is the end of Act One. Yeah. Yeah. We're just at halftime. It is. Yeah. We are. So you got any adjustments that you're making at halftime? The biggest adjustments is just more TV. You know what I'm saying? I'm probably going to have a few Broadway appearances. I probably have a rap album out. You know what I'm saying? Just depends. Some Christmas carols. You know what I'm saying? Going to team up with some AI. Frank Sinatra just to get the brand up and moving.

And I couldn't figure out which one of the two of you was more excited to be like right on the sidelines, ready to help somebody up, ready to support a teammate that ran out of bounds or something. It seems like the two of you had a pretty good connection in terms of like we both understand what our role is right now.

1:42:39Like what was that like with Russ? Because I imagine it wasn't easy for him to get benched like that. Yeah. With Russ, it was very challenging with him. And balancing helping Jackson stay prepared and keeping a future Hall of Famer, Super Bowl-winning champ uplifted every single day. I felt like it was a blessing in disguise, man, because I was able to share with Russ. Like, Russ, you've never been in this position before. You've never been in a position where you felt like you didn't play like you wanted to and you got benched. And the young quarterback is coming in and he's playing good. He's bringing excitement.

1:43:14So I'm here for that because I've seen that happen. I've been injured and I've been having to watch freaking Andy Dolan lead to him with the New Orleans Saints. Like I've seen it. Right. I've had to get have his back and support him because it's always about the team. And I think Russ's mentality of his leadership paid off tremendously because he know the importance of the team. Right. And as a quarterback, we know we're the only person out there. So it's tough. It's tough to swallow that pride when you know that you're capable and you're able to still spin and Russ can still play. don't get me wrong but he grew more this year because he had to be in that humble state than he did over all the other places like because you know Denver like it was bad it was bad out there in Denver right Pittsburgh he led him to the playoffs you know it was it was okay right but he stepped back on the scene but this year was supposed to be like he won his first Super Bowl in New York like he was supposed to be back right but God challenged him in a way that he's never been he's probably been challenged before because people doubted him coming out of freaking college yeah right so it i think it is igniting something within him to allow him to have the greatest comeback of his life and i'm praying i hope that he has that but i i just commend his leadership uh in his uh consistency of continuing to pour into jackson continuing to stay uh like relevant and active man russ was buying team dinner every thursday every thursday he picking up the tab he he uh bringing in from Lunello's, feeding the whole building.

1:44:44So nothing fell off. He stayed consistent, and he was a great teammate. And you're a great teammate. And any GM that's listening to this is like, if this is how Jameis acts when he's a third-string quarterback and cares about his teammates in this way, imagine the Jameis you're going to get if he's your starter. Actually, it's probably going with the same guy. I don't think that that would change anything. But it does show, because a lot of guys, if they're in that role, they would just kind of check out a little bit and worry about their future, and you were dedicated to all the guys on your team.

1:45:14Can we refresh people on the time that you were starting in New Orleans, the season that you were putting up, the numbers you were putting up? I don't know if you know those off the top of your head, but can you describe how you felt? I know I was leading the league in touchdowns, and I was leading the league in touchdowns and interception ratio, which everyone gives me heck about until this day. And we were 5-2. 5-2. So we were on a up and up, but things happen. But the stuff that you played through, I don't think people know. No, broke back. Broke back. Right. A rupture preventing your longest.

1:45:49People don't even know what that is. Yeah, I don't know what that is, but it sounds painful. That's a muscle that runs right down the side of your calf that wraps around and attached to your big toe. And quarterbacks know this. You do whatever. And I saw Drew Brees do this the year before. Yeah. Like, he did everything he could not to come off that field. Right? He wrote in his book, in his memoir, about how Doug Flutie, his relationship with Doug Flutie, like, if Doug Flutie was hurt, he'd never come off the field. But he's like, man, I can't come off this field because the backup quarterback come in and freaking take my job.

1:46:20Mm-hmm. Right? So, just learning that, understanding that, man, I got a freaking broke back. Like, my plant leg, I can't freaking move. And then I had to fly to freaking London? Yeah. On a nine-hour flight with a freaking bone stimulator wrapped around my back and try to play. What's a bone stimulator? It's like a PMF machine that they give you. Oh, I got one.

1:46:43PFT Commenter:We bought those pads. The PMF pads. It's like a halo that you wrap around. Do those work? To try to heal your bone. I think. I mean, I don't know. Okay. I was in pain, though. We bought them because Tua bought it for his offensive lineman, and we were just like, maybe they'll work. No, this one was different. This was like a bone PMF. So, like, it looked like a back brace. Imagine me sending my Virgin Mobile little slot. Like, I hope my bones are improving right now. Virgin Airlines. Get these bones better. As a backup, this year, do you buy your offensive lineman a gift? Yes. Did you get them?

1:47:23So, I had a moment of gratitude for the offensive lineman because I got like this chrome hearts hat, right? And the plan was I know a young guy was going to get the hat because none of the OGs, office linemen, they're not going to – they don't care about a$1 ,200 hat, right? So one of our young rookies had got the hat. And my main thing was like, are you grateful? Are you grateful for this hat? The hat couldn't fit his head, right? And like everybody's walking around with freaking projectors, Prada bags, cardio shades. He's walking around with a Chrome Hearts hat. And he's looking at me like, James, you got me this hat.

1:48:01I can't even wear this hat. Jackson trying to try the hat on. He's like, man, I hope I can get it. You can have my gift. So that's kudos to Jackson. But I end up giving him a nice Louis bag with some Louis shades. But all my office alignment got stakes. Like Snake Root Farms always look out for me, man, when it comes to stakes. I got to get them. No puns. I got to get them some meat, man. I got to feed my old life. Yes, definitely. Right, definitely. They can eat.

1:48:27PFT Commenter:What's going on with Florida State? Other than, is the fix as simple as just having your brother play there? Yes, them having a Winston on the roster is definitely going to be huge. But I'll tell you, with this new wave of football, athletes are more privileged than we were in the past. So being able to recruit an athlete that really loves football and also their family wants their child to be a football player besides a millionaire or entrepreneur or whatever, right? With all this money coming in, I think that's very important. So the challenge is not really the kids, it's the parents and the guardians to keep them focused on why they're even getting this blessing of money.

1:49:14But in terms of Fort Sate, man, I believe they're They're hitting on the right track. I went down for my brother's official visit, spent some time, just saw how they were doing and everything. We just, like, I want to say just got their own football facility. That's crazy. October 2025, one of the most iconic football programs was working out in the gym. I was working in the gym with the swimmers, bro. That's crazy. Swimmers grind. They in there early. Right. Like, I'm doing a set, and then the swimming girls, they're doing a set. Like, in the same gym. And I go to Florida State. I'm sharing, you know, and look, I know, sorry, guys, if I sound spoiled, right, because HBCUs don't have nothing, right?

1:49:58They don't even got a trainer. But, anyway, I'm sharing treatment tables with the tennis team. And I'm just like, look, man, okay, look, I know, like, your injury is just as important as our injury, but it's football season. Yeah, and also football is, I mean, is the main money driver. It is. And it was just, it was tough being on the baseball. Baseball, we had a weight room. We had everything accessible to us on the baseball team. But football, we're sharing things. I love the fact that Doak Campbell is connected to the hospitality, the school of hospitality at Florida State. So you see so many different faces coming in.

1:50:36It's connected to the testing center and everything. So there's a lot of people in there. But we, like, yeah, student athletes, but we come in there to play football. Right. Right. Right. And if you come in there to play football, how can you attract these top players when they're walking in the facility and you don't even have something that caters to them? And they go to other places. And they see different stuff. Like Clemson has a slide in a barbershop. So we overcame that hump in terms of the I factor. But in terms of our head coach, in terms of our program, I still believe Florida State has that traditional program.

1:51:08But however, we have to put behind the past or the championship that we had, whether that season that they left us out of the playoffs. We have to put that behind us and find a way to move forward and start winning football games because that's all that matters. Yeah. Are you talking to your brother a lot? Are you advising him? Or is he like, I want to do my own thing. I want to be my own man? So his entire high school career, middle school, I wanted him to have the same experience that I had with my dad. Just one-on-one coaching, growing, not having multiple voices in his ear. But when he signed with Florida State, I had to be there.

1:51:44I had to be there on his official visit. I had to be there with his official signing because now I feel like I'm passing the torch to him. And I cannot not be there for him. Honestly, it's relatively new. But I know the ins and outs of the campus. And I have like we finally have a similarity in terms of like, yeah, we love football. But now he's at that age where his receptiveness to another voice, because my dad is elite. Like I'm blessed. We're blessed to have our dad and our life. But his receptiveness to me now at this age is way more receptive than what he was when he was younger. Because like he just like, man, my brother in the league, like I'm trying to get there.

1:52:23I'm putting my head down. I'm working my butt off. My dad, he created one of them, so he created me. So I'm going to have this opportunity. So I'm excited to even have a deeper relationship with him. Because talking to him about going to Florida State, man, it had me in tears. Because I'm just like, man, Joe P., I was a part of building this. And now you're going to go and you're going there for you. You're not going there for me. You're not getting a scholarship because I did this stuff. You're getting a scholarship because you earned this. Right. Right? So don't go out there and try to separate yourself from me.

1:53:00Go in there and be the best Winston that you possibly can be and keep doing what God gave you and your talents. And, you know, a lot's changed since he went to school there. Yeah. Some of this stuff is not against the rules anymore now that he's there. So he won't run into any of those problems. No, he won't. He's going to get sponsorships. Yeah. That's the difference. It's like he's going to get paid. But, you know, like, I feel like it is like, it's a saying in the Bible about like, everything is permissible. Yeah. But not everything is beneficial. Right. Right. So like, yes, all these partnerships and stuff, like, it's, yeah, you can do it.

1:53:34Right. It's there. It's out. It's everyone can get it. But like, you still have to be looking for the strategic beneficial partnerships. Yeah. Right. That you can get. And that's what he's looking for. So he probably won't have no crab leg sponsorships in his future. But you can talk with me because I got some crab leg QR codes that I can be passing out with. I love that. And Fishmark. That is one of those, like, I'm going to put air quotes on scandals. Yeah. It's that and the Ohio State, like, free tattoo stuff. Oh, my God. That we look back on and we're like, we were just so stupid as a society for treating those like they were the biggest issues that we had for young football players coming up through the college system.

1:54:15Man, I feel like the scrutiny that amateur athletes, right, we were high school players, right? The scrutiny that we get is huge because of the platform that we have in terms of everyone's watching us. You saw the excitement with freaking Indiana winning the college football national championship this year. Just the excitement of Miami being able to play in their home field. So those viewers obviously bring a lot of eyes. But at the end of the day, these are still amateur athletes. Like, these are kids. Like, I was a kid in college. Like, all of us, like, the people that's on Twitter that's tweeting, like, this guy sucks.

1:54:56He's a bad person. You're talking about a kid. Right. Yeah. Right? So, like, I always encourage, especially men, right, to have a point of view of, like, how were you when you were 18 years old?

1:55:09PFT Commenter:Yeah, big time. I was an idiot. What were you doing? Listen. Yeah. Moron. Yeah. Yeah. Still a moron. And then the height of the social media wave of cameras. I remember me and my boy Joe. Man, we used to walk into Coliseum. And I promise you, it was just like we were at a freaking glow party. Everybody had their phone out, line us up, recording. As I'm walking through, I remember my walkout song for baseball was, I'll be feeling like the man when I walk through. And I felt like the man when I was walking through. Everybody got their phone out, like light me up. I'm just like, man, can I just not come and party in peace?

1:55:47You can't. We had to start having house parties, man. It was definitely fun. Is there anybody that's playing college ball right now that you watch and you say, maybe it doesn't remind you of you, but the way that we watch you play, we get excited. Is there a player that you watch and you're like, I love watching that guy play? I did enjoy watching Fernando Mendoza compete this year. Because I was looking. And I was like, man, because I know Florida State, we beat Kyle last year and he was the quarterback. I was like, man, this kid continues to show up every single week. And how's he doing it with Indiana?

1:56:20Because I'm still like, in my mind, I'm just like, this is still Indiana. When they beat Ohio State, I was like, this is...

1:56:26PFT Commenter:It took a long time for people. The Rose Bowl was like, I was like, Indiana's going to kill Alabama. But a lot of people were like, it's Alabama. It's Indiana. It's going to be Alabama. Indiana looked like Alabama. Yes. They absolutely dominated. If they didn't have IU on the side of the head, if you were watching... And those teams, you're like, oh, that's Alabama and that's Indiana. Yeah. And that's just the program that Coach Cignetti has developed and the players have bought in. And when you look at Indiana, those players look like they love football. Yeah. All of them are 23 years old with big old beards and they are there for football.

1:57:03Yeah.

1:57:04PFT Commenter:By the way, I found the clip. Let's watch it. I hope we don't say anything stupid in this, but this is you scoring the touchdown. So this is us every Sunday just sitting there. Oh, Jameis! Oh. Jameis! Oh!

1:57:20That play was epic. Jameis! That was fucking awesome. Thank you. Thank you. That was you.

1:57:35PFT Commenter:Screw that guy off more. Oh, man. Jameis is the best.

1:57:44PFT Commenter:Look how dead this play was. Yeah. That was how we were reacting in the game. We love you. We love watching you on Sundays. Yeah, man. That's like the – I mean, there wasn't a Giants fan in that cave, and we all were just like you had – I think we might have put you on main TV for that one. Yeah. I appreciate it. Man, the funny thing about that game, like, so behind me, like you could hear the fans heckling. Right. Like, hey, Jameis, throw us one. Throw us one. I know it's coming. And after that play, even the Lions fans, they were like, good job, Jameis. EW Jameis. Whoa. But you to get the opposing team to stop hating and join you, that was exciting.

1:58:26That's just good football. If you heard all the different voices in that room that were all yelling Jameis, I counted like six or seven different guys that I heard. We all root for different teams. When we're watching football on Sundays, we're all yelling at each other. It's like the most combative viewing experience that you could have. And you brought that room together to all cheer for you because that's how much we care for you. And you need to be – we need to see Jameis starting in the NFL again.

1:58:49PFT Commenter:We absolutely need it. I guarantee you that if we had – like if that clip was like 20 minutes long, 20 minutes later there was probably just straight like, oh, Jameis, that was so sick. Remember that Jameis? Still saying it. Yeah, over and over. Oh, man. That was outcunning. I'm going to give the fans memories. I'm going to give everybody memories when I'm out down that field. But the memory that I want is to be that Super Bowl winning quarterback. That's what I want for you, too. I love it. All right, I got one last question. Roback, roback.com, which, by the way, we were in an ad together. Roback.com, promo code TAKE, 20 % off your first purchase.

1:59:21PFT Commenter:Q-zips, polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts, roback.com, promo code TAKE. I assume you should be a 99 in Madden, but who do you think – who's the – let's go from this, a defensive player that's giving you fits that you're like, that guy should be 99. Well, from watching, man, Will Anderson had an amazing year. That's a good one. At defensive end. He did an incredible job. Christian Gonzalez, man, he was locked down this year. Like, nobody was catching. When you watch the AFC Championship game, you're like, oh, my goodness. Like, they catching the ball on him? And then out of nowhere he gets that pick at the end of the game.

1:59:58You're like, see, like, can't even mess with him. Yeah. One person that a lot of people are not going to talk about, but I feel like he's low-key one of the best defensive players in the league is Devon Wither-Spoon. Spoon, he is the heart and soul of that Seattle Seahawks defense. He is coordinating everything back there. He doesn't miss tackles. He makes plays on the ball. He is a true football player out there, man, and he definitely deserves a 99 on defense. Do you have any rules? I know that sometimes quarterbacks are like, I'm not throwing it at Spoon. I'm not going to challenge him. Is there anybody?

2:00:36Is there any quarterback that's ever made you say, I'm taking it away? I'm not going to look that way. Hell no. Not ever in my life. Yeah. Never. Yeah, a good throw beats great coverage, right? It does. But I feel like that's the competitive side. Like, obviously, as you're planning for a week, you're looking at who are we going to be attacking for the majority of the game. But when that time comes, you have to be your best against their best. Like, that's football. So I ain't ducking no rec, dog. I ain't running away from nobody. It's almost like a challenge. Like, Spoon's good, but what if I beat him?

2:01:11I'm going to attack him. I ain't get him on his heels.

2:01:14PFT Commenter:All right. Well, Jameis, always awesome to have you on. We remain your biggest fans. Can't wait for you to get another shot at starting. And Super Bowl. I appreciate that. I mean, listen, I'll say this. when you do get to the Super Bowl as a starting quarterback, you have to come on the show that week if that's okay. No, we would do a Zoom call because I'm going to be – oh, y 'all can come to the hotel. No, we'll be at the Super Bowl. We'll be at the Super Bowl. We'll come wherever you want. But y 'all come to the hotel. Yeah, yeah, no problem. No problem. We want you locked in. Yeah, I'll be there.

2:01:41PFT Commenter:But we just – we need a Super Bowl week. Y 'all will get anything from me. Okay, all right. Yeah, maybe some seats. Y 'all get anything. Okay. Sign a jersey afterwards. Yeah, like party after the Super Bowl jersey. Not my sign jerseys. Wait till we make another one. Okay, all right. That one's going on. Second, second. Can we party with you after? Definitely party. Okay, all right. Yeah, that's good. Y 'all are in. Okay, done, done. James, you're the best, man. No, thank y 'all. Y 'all are. Appreciate you. Before we get back to today's chaos, we got to tell you about something that helps people focus on what's most important.

2:03:40PFT Commenter:Okay, let's wrap up with some vacation talk. By the way, I just refreshed Twitter while PFT was doing a couple ads, and it's got to be KD's Burners. The way he's walking around with his phone. Yeah. Just panicking. It's so cool. Like, that's a guy who's, we've all been on that side of it. Leaning into it? I don't know, man. We've all been on that side of it where the internet's coming for you and you're just kind of pacing around looking at your phone. You think he's leaning into it or you think, he looks pretty concerned when he's, like, he had his phone out on the court when guys were, like, taking warm-ups.

2:04:18He's just scrolling. KD is fully into that life.

2:04:23PFT Commenter:I don't know. Refreshing everyone talking about it, getting text messages from people. This is a big part of Kevin Durant. Look at that. He's just walking around on his phone, Hank. Look at that. Guys are shooting around. That's what's leaning into it. Yeah, I guess. He knows that he's going to. But his face doesn't look like he's leaning into it, but yeah. No relax, champ. No relax when I'm on Twitter. I'm on 10 until the second I close the app. You relax. He did go after Shams the other night for being on his phone during a game. Yeah. And he was on it all night tonight. Kevin Durant is never going to log off.

2:05:00And it's a fool's errand to try to even get him to try. So just let the man cook.

2:05:04PFT Commenter:Like I said, Hank, there's a chance he's on his third burner roasting Kevin Durant's second burner as a burner. He's like, there's free jokes to get off. Okay, let's wrap up the show. How was everyone's vacation? Hank, you want to start? Yeah, I will start. It was awesome. I was on a golf trip. Seven of my childhood friends, as I've known for 20 years, I showed up on empty from the Super Bowl week. Had a blast. Got to play golf. Saw our friend Ricky Elliott. Yes. Played a round of golf with him. One of the most, I mean, he's just, he's the best. One of the most enjoyable rounds of golf I've played.

2:05:45Played some sick courses. Had a great time. lost my voice great time yeah excellent nice weather so you

2:05:55PFT Commenter:you basically you went San Francisco straight to Orlando you're you're cooked yeah I was home for like I got home at 1130 Monday I left the next morning at like 10 you get sunburn you're cooked you look 10 yeah I got some sun you need to sleep I was putting on some sun when did you get back today 7 7pm tonight damn you're cooked Hank's in big time, I need a vacation for my vacation mode. Oh, yeah. Yeah. No. I just need one good night of sleep, and I'll be good. Yeah. Ish. Yeah. Yeah. You'll be fine. I'll be on the road back. Yeah. Your voice will be good by Tuesday's show. Well, all my friends, they have Monday off, and they're like, oh, yeah, get home tonight and recover, and then we have tomorrow off to recover.

2:10:26PFT Commenter:I've gotten the suite in the rooms and a suite at the sphere. It's going to be sick. I'm excited. I'm going to get some golf tee times. It's going to be fun, Max. It's going to be fun. It's going to be a lot of fun. I'm excited. I'm excited for the boys. Bosco. The crew is so funny. Right now, I have over-invited knowing that people will say no. I just threw an invite to Kittle when I saw him last week. He's like, I'm in. I was like, great. I think my exact words were to Kittle. I was like, just bring all the boys. Like McCaffrey, Jushek, Bosa. He's like, yeah, I'm in. The invites right now are Rosillo, Jerry O 'Connell, Rico Bosco, Roan.

2:11:17PFT Commenter:I think Jerry O 'Connell and Roan are your strongest yeses. I think Jerry O 'Connell is my strongest. Jerry O 'Connell already said that he was clearing his hole. Yes, Jerry O 'Connell. Out of non-barcel employees, Jerry O 'Connell will be the only one. Jerry O 'Connell will probably get there a day early. But you're telling me that Jerry O 'Connell, who's not allowed to watch a full game of football, is going to take multiple days off? He's going to be there. I hope so. I hope you're right. Oh, you're calling him out? Remember he was going to come to this office for the championship last week of fantasy football?

2:11:50PFT Commenter:He had to go to South Africa. He'll laugh some bullshit Or his wife laughs some bullshit You're going at him right now What's this? I like this What? He had a tweet at it He tweets at me every day He had a Tootsie tweet He had a Tootsie tweet I miss Jerry so much You guys act like he doesn't Yeah, no, you're right He antagonizes Patriots went toe-to-toe with Seahawks and lost Tiff went toe-to-toe To toe-to-toe and Henny's finally won. Thank you for showing the Tootsies, Tiffany.

2:12:29PFT Commenter:All right, so he's not going to make it? No. Zach, you have a good vacation? I did. Tons of quality time with the family. Beers with the boys is a good time. Hell yes. Yeah, I did. I set no alarm. I drank all day, and then I had four straight days of ice cream sundaes. Oh, you got to do. I do vacation gelato. It's like every night you got to do gelato. I did the last night I was on a Sunday streak and they didn't have it on the menu. And I asked him, I was like, can you do anything for me? He's like, I got you. I was talking to PFT. I was like, I actually ate pretty well. Like when you're on an island, you just have a ton of fish.

2:13:02Yeah. Like you go to nice restaurants and you just eat healthy things. And then he was like, how many pina coladas did you have? And I was like, well, that is. Yeah. Yeah. It's like I had ceviche for lunch. I had like a nice yogurt parfait for breakfast. and then I didn't really eat so much at dinner because I'd been out in the sun drinking all day and only had a small steak. But then you think back, oh yeah, I went beer margarita, beer margarita, beer margarita for about 11 hours today.

2:13:30PFT Commenter:Yeah. Listen, it's worth it. I also almost ended up in Cayman Island Jail, which would have been awesome for the pot. Awesome. Going into the Cayman Islands, I think I got... Can you get racially profiled for being a chill-ass dude? because I think that's what happened to me. Yeah, I get that in airports a lot. Yeah. The guy going through customs just went deep into my bag, and I had the double whammy of him first asking. He was like, do you smoke weed? And I was like, yeah. Like, I'm not a loser, dude. And then he's like, it's very illegal in the Cayman Islands. And then he asked me what I do, and I was like, podcaster.

2:14:08PFT Commenter:And at that moment, it clicked in my head. I was like, I could be in some deep shit right here. Yeah. That combo is not good. Yeah. You don't want to say podcaster to a foreign agent. They don't really understand or respect the profession. No. He went getting the deep into the bag search is scary just because you're like, I don't even know. Like, it's a bad. You know, when you have a backpack that you just carry around, you don't know what's actually in it half the time. Yeah. I had one of those moments like, I don't know what's in this. Like, well, let's just find out together, dude. I found a couple gummies in my backpack, but no one searches your shit for bringing stuff into Mexico.

2:14:43Yeah. So I was fine. What I did when I -

2:14:45PFT Commenter:They searched your shit going into Cayman Islands. I had no idea. When I held up my pill bottle that had maybe some gummies in it, and if he had opened it, I could have been in jail, which would have been a hilarious story. When I went to Qatar, I bought new luggage before that trip just for that exact reason. Yeah. Because I was like, that seems like a country where you might just die in jail if you get caught. So I've carried a lot of stuff in my bags over the years. So let's just let's take a clean one. Yeah. It did feel like entrapment, though, for him to be like, do you smoke weed? And I was like, yeah, dude, of course I do.

2:15:13PFT Commenter:He's like, do you know it's very illegal? Fuck. That was not fair. Did you know it's actually not that cool? Yeah. What the hell? It's like, imagine if I said no, and then he laughed in my face. He's like, you don't smoke at all? Loser. You're looking for the Cayman Islands underneath Cuba. Yeah, I had no idea where it was either. I was sitting in the front seat of the... They drive on the wrong side of the road. Always fucked you up when you sit in the front seat. They got to find Cuba first. Max, you seriously can't find Cuba? Cuba's massive. I see it. It's right there. It says Cayman Islands.

2:15:50PFT Commenter:Yeah, but waking up with no alarm is the best. I haven't done that in a very, very long time. And it was... I had an alarm every day. Also, pet a shitload of stingrays. I still got it. Went to like a stingray where they, like all the boats, basically the most touristy thing you can do where all the boats are just anchored and they're just feeding the stingrays. There's stingrays just everywhere. Yeah. Petting them left and right. Man. Memes, you didn't go anywhere. I did nothing. It was the best. I love that for you. I actually love that for you. You went on a couple walks though. I went on so many walks.

2:16:23PFT Commenter:Yeah. And Shane, you went to Hawaii?

2:16:29PFT Commenter:What's up? You went to Hawaii? Yes, sir. And you brought back gifts? I did. All right. So what did you bring back? I brought a little something for everybody. Love it. So first thing, I don't know if Hank's wearing it right now. I got him a whale tail necklace. Nice. I got – I'll just go and order here for what I pick up. I got Colton knees. I asked Colton and the others kind of like what they like. I got Colton two spam stickers from like a local artist. Okay. For stickers. Yep, from a farmer's marker. Name's Peachy underscore Kawaii. All right, no free shout-outs. We'll bleep that. This is really nice.

2:17:09I got Zach. He likes to collect playing cards. I got him two different types of cards. One's an actual deck of cards. One I thought was a deck of cards. It's just like a Hawaii card game. It just pictures of Hawaii.

2:17:25PFT Commenter:That's sick. That's like basically going. Bolt up. I got Max a passion fruit wasabi dressing. Love that. He randomly texted me the other day and was like, do you like jelly or dressing? And I was like, this sounds like a bit of a game that you were playing with a girlfriend. You drew a card of text your boss. A thing where you can be like, can you jelly this dick down your mouth or something? So I just said I refuse to answer this question. Instead, are you the only person who got food? This is salad dressing. I got Jack cookies. Oh, okay. Some chocolate chip mac and thingy nuts. His reasoning was he was like, I could see you eating salad more than I could see you eating jam.

2:18:12Well, I've just seen him eat salad more than I've seen him eat toast with jelly. That's a good point. I got PFT, the necklace that he's wearing right now as well. I got him a pretty sweet shirt. Yeah, the shirt. You said it was the Necklace and a shirt You said the most colorful one they had Yeah They were selling like$8 shirts I was like I'm just gonna pick out the most colorful one there is Colorful shirt Yeah And I got Big Cat Can I run this into you? Yeah yeah please do I got a necklace And a shirt? What's that shirt that you're wearing right now? Just a necklace PFT's been wearing anal beads this whole show

2:18:46PFT Commenter:These are not anal beads dude Alright I got I'm opening this Alright These are beetle nuts Oh It's a hook. Like Moana. Maui. Maui's hook. Love that. That's a great game. Maui's hook, huh, Shane? Maui's hook, Shane. For Moana. And boys. Fucking love it. Yes, I love Moana. Maui. To the Pope. Oh, yeah. It's going up. Speaking of Pope. Where the fuck is my. We're having a Pope on? We're having a Pope game next year. Oh, yeah. Villanova, Notre Dame. Guys, I got you guys a present. That's, by the way, the lottery ball machine that sounds like a lawnmower. I got the boys a present. in Mexico. Okay. So, in Mexican pharmacies, they sell Toradol, right?

2:19:30Yes. And so I got the boys some Toradol. I don't know if it's actually street legal to have back in the United States. Don't care. Brought it back. We've only got four capsules.

2:19:41PFT Commenter:What does Memes say? Memes say no. He's saying no to Max. Max. He's saying no Max. Wait, is it four capsules is one shot? No, four servings. So, what we're going to have to do here is we're going to save these and whoever the guys on the podcast to have the first four bad injuries. Yeah. Like we're going, we need to determine whether or not it's a Toradol worthy injury. I think we should do, I think we should do one episode where we all take Toradol and the listeners have to figure out if it was a Toradol episode. That's also not a bad idea. Like we'll just randomly do a Toradol episode. We're not going to tell you and you just got to be like, yeah, that was Toradol.

2:20:18PFT Commenter:And then if it's such a good episode, we just have to become addicted to it. But then I was thinking like, What if we do that, something like that, we take it recreationally, and then the day after we both get kidney stones, we're like, fuck, I really wish we had the Toradol. True. True. I think we should do Blind Toradol. You think we should do a Toradol episode? You should save it. Actually, we should save it for after the bachelor party. For the bachelor party. Someone's going to need this if I know something about this podcast. Maybe for the bachelor party when we play golf that Sunday, we're going to need it.

2:20:50But I feel like, so there's four of these. We need people to sign. Like, we have to agree. Like, Hank can't be like, oh, I have a sore throat. Right. I might as well take the tortle. It needs to be a vote.

2:21:02PFT Commenter:I know the tortle does, so. Makes you feel good. Yeah. I'll just, you tell me if I need it. Okay. You kind of need it right now. Put it in his neck right now. You aren't Dr. Hank. Hank, you want one right now? No. No, he won't sleep. I can't expect that you'd be wired. Anyways, you can just buy this stuff in Mexico. It rocks. Yeah. Okay. Good show, boys. Great to be back. Let's do numbers. 56. One. 23. For MJ grabbing that kid's shirt that he knows well. Good. 29. Big dump. 47. 88. 86. Nine. That scared me. 93. And I did get memes coughing. Oh, you got Memes coffee. Thank you, Shane. Thank you, Shane.

2:21:53Memes, what kind of anal beads do you use?

2:21:56PFT Commenter:I don't know. These would be giant anal beads.

2:22:03PFT Commenter:37. 37. Anyone? Anyone? Anyone? 37. Denny Woodhead. Anyone? You have one more? No, I kind of like that none of us have. It's going to be good. No, I like it. I like it. Happy birthday to Jerry O 'Connell. Oh, it's his birthday today? On Tuesday. Okay. There's not going to be a show on Tuesday. Happy birthday, Jerry. Happy birthday, Jerry O 'Connell. Hey, Jerry, we'll see you in just a little bit for Max's bachelor party. Hank, you want to say happy birthday? No. It's Shane's birthday, too, apparently. Shane, your birthday's today. Yeah, Sunday. Yep. Shane, happy birthday. What the fuck, Shane?

2:22:44It's today today? Yeah. Oh, happy birthday, dude. Thanks, bro. Hey, Shane. Shane, thanks for the gift on your birthday. I got you some torrid all.

2:22:54PFT Commenter:Perfect. Guys don't celebrate each other's birthdays. That's what we don't do. We don't do that as men. I say you get your decades. That's it. Yep. Yeah. Absolutely. Happy birthday, Shane. Thanks, fellas. That's kind of on the birthday guy. Yeah, it's your fault. That's all PFT's fault. That's his department. That's my fault. That's the birthday guy. You're doing birthdays from two days from now. That's the birthday guy. And Shane's in right there. I wrote down this Jerry O 'Connell one like a month ago I was like I don't want to forget the Jerry O 'Connell one And I forgot about my guy Shane My bad Shane No it's all good, understandable That's why you're a great guy Hope you like those beads I do love these beads They smell funny Love you guys
