3:00Welcome to Pardon My Take, presented by DraftKings. The crown is yours. Today is Friday, January 16th. And John Harbaugh, you're a New York Giant. Congratulations, John. They didn't let you out of the building. You got kidnapped. You're their guy. You wanted them. They brought in the heavy hitters at the end. It was pretty clear that Harbaugh wanted the opportunity to coach a hot young quarterback. and Jameis Winston's got his guy now. Yeah. This was a smart move. I like this move for the Giants. It feels like they needed stability. They've gone through how many coaches? Six coaches, I think, since Tom Coughlin.

3:38Can you name him? All right, so we got Dable. Yep. We got McAdoo. Yep. We got Joe Judge. Yep. We got, oh, man. Oh, man. Was Spagnuolo in there? Spags. Yeah, Spags. There's one everybody forgets. Oh, no. You can't forget this guy, Big Cat. Who am I forgetting? Pat Shermer. Oh, Pat Shermer. Pat Shermer. And who is the sixth? Are we counting Kafka? Kafka, I don't think he counts technically. Let's see. New York Giants head coaches. We're going to find it right now. Shermer is the big one, though. Shermer is the big one that everyone forgets. He's a perfect guy to forget. A very forgettable guy overall.

4:22Also coach of the Browns at one point. Yeah, all right, so it went Coughlin, McAdoo, Spaggs, Schirmer, Joe Judge, Brian Dable, Mike Kafka. Yep, so it was just Schirmer that I forgot. A very forgettable 9-23. Yeah, I feel like this is a great hire for them. I do too. He's stable. They want a guy that's going to come in that's going to just be able to oversee everything, and they don't have to worry about answering questions about his job in two years. Yep. And Harbaugh is that guy, and he had his pick of the litter. So I'm assuming that they worked out whatever situation it was with Joe Shane that was making some people uncomfortable.

4:55But I feel like if Harbaugh goes back to them in a year and is like, hey, I can't work with this guy anymore, they're going to listen to Harbaugh over Shane, right? Yeah, they're giving him five years reported$100 million. So that's a nice paycheck. Also, Harbaugh, I believe, will get some of the best coordinators because he will attract that. There's stability. it feels like Harbaugh you're hiring him you're not going to fire him in three years even if it takes a little bit of time to get things going the Giants have been in hell when it comes to coaching and everything that's going on they've basically had a couple like flash in the pans where you know remember Brian Dable went to the playoffs his first year Mac did McAdoo go to the playoffs I think he went to the playoffs he might have gone to the playoffs so it's like they just been in this revolving door of like a coach doing okay for a year and then just falling flat on their face and now you get john harbaugh who is going to be a good coach little stability to the organization and the uh the knock against harbaugh is sometimes in the playoffs he forgets to run run the football yep i don't think that cam scadaboo in a playoff game would ever let you forget to run the football he's gonna steal the football from jackson scatted scadaboo is going to be like screaming at you in your face he's gonna be like tugging on your pants like hey come on come on run the football run the football yeah give me the ball also shout out jackson dart he went public with his relationship very nice fine young lady that he's dating good for him good for him followed uh did you see i i grokked i grokked last night you grokked i grokked so hard i might be just a i might be a grok guy did you grok around the clock well this is what i've noticed and we've seen this over the last few years the photoshops of new coaches and new players they they drop so early yep they drop immediately now you used to have to wait and then this is one of those things where Schefter would put out the news and then the replies would be filled with people that did their own Photoshop.

6:44Yep. And then he would take one of them and be like, yeah, here's first look. But it's changed where now Schefter has a full-time Photoshop guy. So immediately as he breaks the news last night, he had an image of John Harbaugh standing side by side with Jackson Dart. And they had Harbaugh in like the throwback Giants gear and then Jackson dart standing next to him and i replied i said add james winston's face on jackson dart and grok within seconds because he's hard working and he's always there he's like your best friend replied with a perfect photoshop of james winston over jackson dart i don't know if you guys have seen that no you see this one i gotta see it i'm amazed listen the future is now grok we're living in it yeah i i i said last week i i block rock it made my experience online significantly better Oh, not mine.

7:33Grok is the man. Significantly better. He's my boy. You do unhinged mode? People asking Grok to undress women online was starting to get a little weird. Yeah. That's not weird at all. I think that Grok, that's the future. Maybe you're afraid of the future. Can you find it for us? Are you guys doing anything back there? Okay. Send it to us. I would like to see this Grok. They're just frozen. Yeah. That was crazy. We're not just looking stuff up today. What are we doing here, boys? Are we going to find the Jameis Winston on Jackson Dart or no? I'd like to see it. I want to see it in the big screen.

8:06Okay. Look at this thing. Look how good the technology is. Oh, wow. Oh, I did see it. Keep scrolling. I do remember scrolling past this last night. It's perfect. Keep scrolling, boys. Keep scrolling. Keep scrolling. What's going on back there? Do we have a problem? Do we have an issue? No problem. Do we have a divisional round issue? There it is. Jackson Dart. There it is. Look at that. Open that up. I want to see it big. Make it big for me. Make it big. There he is, Jameis Winston. As Jackson Dart. That's quite the picture. So good for the Giants. One job done. One job. I think we're done with firings, although the Matt LaFleur situation, I don't know where it's at.

8:48They're discussing. They've got to figure it out. I think he's probably sticking around. I think he's sticking around, too. The problem is for him to stick around, they've got to give him an extension. And I think Matt LaFleur probably wisely is saying, hey, if you guys don't want me here, that's fine. I'll go get a job tomorrow, which he would. So they have to pay him what his market is. Yeah. It's a big money. I think he's going to get a raise. And I think that Sean McDermott is probably safe, depending on if they lose, how heartbreaking the loss is. Yeah. If it's super heartbreaking, if it's a close game, I almost feel like they might still move on.

9:25Because coaches like that, if they accumulate enough of those sad losses, it just kind of stays with them for a while. And it changes who they are. We also had an update of the resigning of Mike Tomlin. So there was a good article, I think it was on The Athletic, where he talked to players in the room and some of the quotes. When Mike Tomlin met with the players, he surprised them. So it was not a firing. No one's – like it just was not a firing. It was a very smart move for Mike Tomlin. he said that I think it's best for the organization for me to step down Aaron Rodgers sobbing said I'm sorry while TJ Watt had tears welling down his eyes and kept repeating no no no as Tomlin told the team guys love Tomlin they guys and I I think maybe I wouldn't do the you know we got the news right away when we were recording on Tuesday Mike Tomlin deserves a little bit more credit than we probably gave him you know because it hasn't gone well for the end of his reign in Pittsburgh but to put it into perspective he also has kept a team that has not been good competitive he went in the last uh since 2020 mike tomlin went 60 and 40 in the nfl 60 40 and one and his quarterbacks were an old ben roethlisberger kenny pickett is a rookie russell wilson and an old aaron rogers like the guy can coach the hell out of a football team and get the most out of them it wasn't enough to win playoff games but i think that you the steelers might go into a dark phase here where they're going to probably have to lose a little bit and they're going to realize yeah actually mike tomah was keeping this thing together better than we all thought that's kind of what we're saying with it with his playoff right he gets in the playoffs and then he's overmatched once he gets there right and it's really a testament to how good the team was how much he got out of the team to even have a winning record and potentially even win that division yeah it is a testament to me he's a very good coach and i think that if he if he found a second spot that made him feel at home it could be like in maybe not an andy reed thing but andy reed didn't even win a super bowl until he got to kansas city and then now we think of andy reed as being a chief's coach yeah and if mike tomlin if he wants to he'll be able to get back into coaching if he goes to a good spot i think we could see like a second half of his coaching career that's just as good as his first yeah the um so we were talking about how it's crazy you know since 1969 that's when they hired chuck knoll it's been three coaches and everyone's been throwing out stats and numbers and if you know the answer to this don't answer it but everyone else can guess so the the one that was shocking was it's not so shocking they're like all right since the last time there's been three coaches in that time frame there's been 10 u.s presidents I think it was six Popes.

12:11How many Cleveland Brown coaches? Since 1969. I don't think it's counting interims. Okay. I'm going to guess 30. Okay. So you went over. It's 21. Still crazy. Yeah. That's seven times the amount of coaches in Pittsburgh in that time frame. Yeah. Three coaches is crazy for that. Yeah. I mean, the Steelers are a very stable organization. They don't rock the boat. They make great hires. And they got to get it right on this next one. They got to get it right. I don't know if they're going to go back to the same well of find the next up-and-coming guy or if they're going to go with somebody. Because that is a crapshoot if you think that you've got the next guy.

12:54And if you're wrong, then it could change everything that we know. But what if the Steelers fired a goal? Like, if the next guy is just terrible in his first season, are we going to say, is this guy in the hot seat? Yeah. Or because of the Steelers? No. Is he automatically going to get five years to prove himself? Yeah, they're going to find a 34-year-old defensive coordinator because that was Bill Cowher, that was Mike Tomlin. Yeah. So I don't know. I think Chris Shula, how old is Chris Shula? I think he interviewed. We also have Chris Shula is 39 years old. Too old. Yep. Too old. Sorry, Chris Shula.

13:29Do we have any other national sports podcast news before we dive into the games? Anything going on? Yeah? Kind of. Okay. I've just been a huge fan of the one-point slam. I don't know if you guys have seen this. What? It's promoting the Australian Open, so the Australian Open is coming up. Okay. This is leading up to it. It has a bunch of pros and a bunch of amateurs, like fans, have won entry into it. And it's a, I think, 64-person bracket. Okay. It's basically Rohn's one-on-one to one. One-point slam. One-point slam. So, like, Sinner lost because he double faulted. Oh. And a guy, so a guy, like, beat, advanced against Yannick Sinner.

14:15That's kind of awesome. And the one-point slam winner wins, like, a million bucks. So, when 64 people, are they all professional tennis players? No. It's a mix. It's like, like, they have, like, fans. Like, there was, like, you know. It's like Bill Ackman could win. Yeah. Yeah. There's celebrities. Probably would. That'd be cool. There's some, like, celebrities. I don't know. They said they're celebrities. I didn't recognize their names, but I love it. You love it. Well, you're a tennis guy. I'm not, but I'm more a fan of their podcast, but this has me interested. You're a Fuzzhead. You're an ace hole.

14:46It is weird having the, you know, we're in the mid-January and we're deep into the NFL playoffs, and it's like tennis season is starting and golf season is starting. Aren't they playing Hawaii? Yeah. I did see some news with Rory where Rory's playing cavity backs. Yep. And so people are talking about, I don't, Hank will have to. What is that? Well, Hank's our golf guy and he's our cavity guy. So what are cavity backs, Hank? You want to save that for Fyre Fest? And how's your tooth? There, yeah, I'll talk about the tooth in Fyre Fest. Cavity backs are just the clubs that we hit. Oh, the forgiving ones?

15:19Yes, they're bigger backs. Whereas like, you know, forever, it's like pros play blades because they're more precise. And if you can hit it more precise, like you get more out of it. Yeah. Whereas Rory, who is one of the best golfers in the world, is saying, I want more forgiveness. So it kind of is like, then who should be using blades? I've always wondered that. Like, why not just use the easy clubs? Do you get that much more touch with the blade? More control. I mean, I don't fucking know. Or is it just like you say that? I use cavity backs, but. Because I have a theory about blades. My theory has always just been that they don't do anything, that they make it harder to play golf.

15:52And so if you master playing with blades, then you just feel better about yourself because you're like, yeah, I can hit a blade good. That's probably true. And if you can hit a blade good, then you can hit anything good. Yeah. I don't know what we're talking about, but cavity backs seem cool, and blades also seem cool. Rory's using the easy clubs that everybody uses. Why is he using them? He wants more forgiveness. Because they're easier, and the whole concept of the hard clubs, I think, has been bullshit. Got it. Okay, so golf is back. Yeah. The other two stories I had was Clayton Kershaw is going to pitch in the World Baseball Classic as insurance for...

16:29So he's not retired. Yeah. That was quick. Yeah. He needs insurance? No. He's like as an insurance. No, he's probably not going to pitch, but he's going to be on the roster. Oh. Yeah. I thought it was like he wants insurance for his family or something. Yeah, I think he's good with that. Yeah. That would be very funny, like Phil Rivers. It sounds like he just wants to hang out with the boys. Yeah, which, yes. Why wouldn't you do that? Yeah. Just hang out with the boys. And then the other news, PFT, I got to say, you guys nailed that stadium. Thank you. It is so sick. I want to fuck it. I'm actually scratching.

17:03I'm going to fuck it. Dude, what's going on right now with stadiums, because we've seen renderings. The Browns renderings and the Bears renderings look like it was the same person who just slapped a Browns logo on it. This is different. This looks like when there's a CVS or a Starbucks that they're like, you have to make it fit the neighborhood. Yeah. That's what they did with this stadium. It fits Washington, D.C. It looks awesome. That's what the idea was. And also, this looks so much cooler, the fact that it is in D.C. Yeah. If this was stuck out in Landover, Maryland, where the site of FedEx Field slash Northwest Federal Credit Union Field is, it wouldn't look nearly as cool.

17:42No. But having this stadium near the downtown area of the city that it's in, it's a powerful thing. Yeah. It makes you feel things that you don't feel, which is stuck out in the suburbs. And yeah, the outside design, the columns look awesome. It kind of gives the same vibe as the memorials that are set up around the title. It's very cool. the title based in there and uh the the glass ceiling i like that the uh it's like a fake enclosure so you can see out of it i don't know if that's going to be tinted or what how that's going to work out but it looks amazing and yeah it's a far far cry from the old renderings that dan snyder used to put out where we'd have the moat around the stadium yeah that was awesome with people surfing on it where's the moat dan was just like i think he was he got sued again for sexual harassment he he called up the architecture firm in the middle of the night which is like, hey, can you just sketch me out somebody that's surfing outside the stadium so I can get people off my case for a little bit?

18:33Throw a moat in there. But this stadium is awesome. I can't wait for it to open up in 2030. Do we have a race? What? Is there a race between? Oh, the Bears are never going to be a race. Stadium race? Yeah. Bears are a joke. They took Roger Goodell to Indiana. They're just using Indiana to try to get Illinois to build the stadium. I also had the idea. Don't they have to do something, though? No, they don't. That's the thing. They don't. They want to because it's a lot more money. They don't own Soldier Field. That's the whole problem. But they're never going to. They're never going to own Soldier Field.

19:04It's owned by Chicago. But they're never going to do anything. I thought it was happening. No, they're - When we moved, it was like - They keep saying they're going to do something. Yes. Things are coming. Yes. And Illinois is not going to pay for it, and now they're trying to get Indiana to pay for it to make Illinois pay for it. It's exactly what happened. Indiana would be hilarious. The last 10 years in D.C., we went through the same thing where it was like trying to pit Maryland against Virginia. And then, oh, we'll go to Richmond. Oh, we'll go to D.C. We'll get them involved. And every time you say it's done, it's not done.

19:31Right. Now, this stadium, just looking at it, Max, I think that this stadium is worth three wins a year. Yeah. The stadium alone. No, that's an awesome looking stadium. It's awesome. That drive in over the water looks like it's going to be – it looks like it's one of those things from, like, an animated movie where they just try and build, like, the biggest, like, sporting event in the world. and it's like, it seems fake. Yeah, it looks like where the Monstars are. Yes, yes, perfect example. See all those columns that go around the outside of the stadium? My idea was what if you turned each one of those on the inside, it's a statue of a president.

20:08And so the presidents are all watching the game together. Oh, that's nice. Is that the only way to get in? Which way? To the top? No. Oh, the one highway. Yeah. No, there's going to be other. Okay, good. I was going to say, that's a nightmare. Yeah. But that does look cool. There's going to be other roads. How it looks in this picture is cool. Yes, very cool. But if that was the only way to get in and out, that feels like it would take forever. The subway goes right there, which is great. And the dome on top, the glass ceiling that it's got, is awesome. I love the look of it. And apparently they're designing it to make it the loudest stadium in the NFL because it's going to be bouncing off that glass top.

20:44Hell yeah. I feel like, yeah, you better beat us now. Yeah. Better get your wins now. Because this stadium is out for blood. No, I was thinking about more after going to the game on Saturday and being like, football should be played outdoors, and then I'm going again on Sunday. It's like, football should be played outdoors. I wonder if the NFL would allow the Bears to build a new stadium, but for any time there's bad weather, they can play at Soldier Field still. They should have two stadiums. That'd be sick, huh? I like that. Or like, yeah, we're going to play. Oh, it's zero degrees? Yeah, we're playing outside.

21:15What about? It's like a retractable roof with two stadiums. So you would only play inside with good weather? You'd play inside, yeah. You'd wait until it's bare weather, and then you'd go outside. So why wouldn't you just make an out-to-a-stay? Listen, it was a half-baked idea. Just go with me. I think it'd be cool to be like, hey, do a big announcement, and we're playing at Soldier Field this weekend. But if you had the retractable roof, could you just open it up for bad weather games? Again, it was a half-baked idea. No, no, I'm agreeing with you. I haven't really thought it through. I'm agreeing with you.

21:46I'm saying like, if you select the retractable roof, could you open it up for bad weather? Yes, that would be cool. But I also would like to just be like, doesn't UConn play in two places? A lot of college basketball plays. Yeah, Nova does. Nova does. St. John's does it. Yeah, St. John's, right. So you're like, yeah, we got the old place we're going to. The old barn. We're going to fucking take you to the Terror Dome. Yeah. Yeah, I don't think they're going to do that, but it would be sick. I love snow football. Yeah. I love watching it. I don't think I've ever been to a snow football game with any sort of playoff implication, though.

22:20But it seems like that's the ultimate equalizer, though. Things should be a little bit different. You should be able to build a team in the image of your city. Right. And it's also just bummed me out to think more and more about the idea that the entire NFC North would be domed except for the Packers, and they would have that over everyone. Yeah, and they'd talk about it. Yeah, they'd talk about it all the time. So we've got to keep both. Keep both. Okay, should we get to the games? Yeah, let's do it. Let's do it. Let's hit the games. Okay boys, Saturday Buffalo Bills going to the Denver Broncos. the current line is the Broncos minus one and a half the over under is 45 and a half this is really just a test of Josh Allen because I do think the Broncos are the better team but Josh Allen that's what we said about the Jaguars too Josh Josh Allen the battle of the Sean's this weekend we've got Sean McVay Sean McDermott Sean or sorry Sean Payton and Sean McDermott in this game Sean Payton just addressed the uh the Denver crowd in a press conference I saw that helpfully educated them on when they're supposed to cheer when they're supposed to be loud he said don't use all of your all of your volume for when they're getting up to the line of scrimmage use it instead when they're getting to the huddle yes and that will disrupt them more the bills could counteract that by just going no huddle and then the entire crowd would be waiting for them to huddle and confused and probably not make as much noise Sean kind of it's very unlike him to give away a strategic weakness like that yeah i think that's a yeah i mean he they could just keep going and be like we know what you're gonna do yeah and we're not gonna huddle i i agree that like you know it's not groundbreaking analysis that josh allen is a superhuman and that he can overcome pretty much any weakness that his team has offensively as long as he's got you know a good offensive line protecting him which he does he should be able to make something happen uh and as we talked about with andrew whitworth it's like the broncos have great cornerbacks yep the bills don't have any wide receivers yeah patrick sartan erases your wide receiver one the counter move for the bills is don't have a wide receiver one yeah this is asymmetric warfare and it's like you spend all this money on your cornerbacks but guess what they're going to be covering like a number four wide receiver curtis samuel might play this week Yeah, I saw that.

25:55Yeah, I don't really know how the Bills are going to do it because they just don't have anyone in wide receiver. They're going to have to try to run the ball. The Broncos defense is really good. I think the path to victory for the Bills is keep the game close and hope Josh Allen has the ball. Slash hope Bo Nix, who Bo Nix has had moments where he's looked awesome this year. He's also had moments where it hasn't looked great, and you're just hoping that you get the not great Bo Nix if you're the Bills. But mile high, playoff football, there's something about it that it is such a home field advantage.

26:34Up in the altitude and that crowd is always rocking. It's always sunny. I love watching football in Denver. It's going to be great. I don't know who Josh's wife is going to be cheering for. So she's an actress, right? She's a great actress. Yeah, because the Seahawks also, she did like a show in Seattle and she had a Seahawks jersey on as well. I think this was a post from 2016. Yeah. Where she's hitting the dab. Yeah. So she's worn a bunch of different jerseys. This is, man, do you guys think Josh can do it? Yeah. Hank, you think you can. Yeah. You think it's going to be Bill's Patriots? I do.

27:08Yeah. You 100 % do. I want it to be Bill's Patriots. What if Bo Nix is just awesome? It's Josh Allen. But what if Bo Nix is just awesome? It's Josh Allen. Do you think Sean Payton did the money and Lombardi thing that he did with the Saints? Where he, when the Saints won the Super Bowl before the playoffs started, he just had a pile of money and a Lombardi and he put it on the table and he said, I got to know what Sean Payton did because he definitely did something. There's some weird motivational trick that he's currently pulling on his team at the moment, whether it's when he showed the Saints videos of animals being slaughtered one year.

27:45One year he left a bunch of rat traps in their lockers And showed them videos of rats walking into traps And getting their necks snapped off He's doing some crazy shit right now that we don't know about He definitely is It is Josh Allen Hank Bo Nix Denver's offensive line is unbelievable They are tied with the Rams for allowing the fewest sacks in the NFL this year With just 23 times That's also Bo Nix being able to run around and extend plays I just have in my head that like what if this is just Bo Nix you know it's here okay so here's here this is dumb analysis ready for dumb analysis yeah who's ready for dumb analysis okay 2024 draft Jaden Daniels last year that was his year incredible season goes the NFC championship game wows the wows the world what a run Drake May has fuck you what no I like that no no just Just fuck you.

28:42Yeah, fuck him. You could have made the first comment. Wild is the world. Yep. I was fine with that one. I was being real. I know. I know. Then Hank starts to lay it on thick. I got something for you, buddy. I got something for you. I got something for you. You don't do anything yourself. I got something for you. Okay. All right. You see these up here? Okay. You see these cans of Coke that I got behind me? Oh, yeah. Oh, wait. They're empty. Yeah. Well, Max got in here. Bit through the bottom like a mouse. Okay. So, follow me. Jay Daniels, last year, incredible season, goes to the NFC Championship game, top five quarterback going into this season.

Read the full transcript

29:16Stop, Hank. Would you like to say anything? No, I wouldn't. Okay. Drake May has an MVP season this year, right? Second MVP. Whatever. He has an incredible year. Yeah. Very good year. Caleb Williams has a year where he's progressed. He has a quintessential etched in stone moment with the fourth and eight to Roma Dunze, beating the Packers, all this stuff. Mr. Clutch. Is it Bo Nix's time? We've had all three of these guys have their splash moments. Is it Bo Nix's time to say, hey, you forgot about Bo Nix? Just thinking about it. Nine's had his moments. Nine, yeah, broke his hand. Yep. Michael Penix.

29:56He's there. He's still alive. He beat the Bills. He's in the league. On that Monday Night Football. He's right. I'm just saying. No, but we're going down the line. Like, Bo Nix, right? We forgot about Bo Nix. if we're going to have this be the 2024 draft, be like an all-time QB draft, it's Bo Nix's time. It's about time for him to make his moment. But I feel like this is more set up to be Josh's moment. I agree. I'm just saying, of the four, so take Michael Penix and J.J. McCarthy out because they're injured and all that stuff. Of those four guys, was Bo Nix picked fourth? He was, right? Yes. Of the first four QBs drafted in the 2024, oh, he wasn't, Memes?

30:35Who was before him, J.J.? I think Penix. Was at nine, right? Oh, was he? I thought for some reason. Oh, maybe you're right. No, no. Yeah, you're right. All right. So whatever. Penix and JJ McCarthy out. Yeah, that's right. Bo Nix was actually the sixth. The other three have won a playoff game. Bo Nix is time. Again, dumb analysis. But this is just I go I'm going vibes. I'm going to bet the bills, but I'm just going vibes. I'm giving the Broncos something like this could be it. Yeah, I mean, the Broncos are the better team. Yeah, but they also the Broncos. Their problem is they play bad games against bad teams.

31:08Right. For the most part. The Jaguars walked in there and pretty much had their way with the Broncos at times. But overall, it's the really bad teams that the Broncos look the worst again. And Sean Payton is a very good coach in the playoffs, especially coming off a bye like this. I think he's 4-0 with extra rest in the playoffs. Yep. So he's going to have them prepared. They know what to do against that Bills defense. That certainly has its weaknesses. They can't stop the run at all. Nope. I think Bo Nix, if I'm putting together a blueprint for how the Broncos win this game, I think Bo Nix is going to run the ball a lot.

31:43I think he's going to use his feet. I'm going to take him to score a touchdown. I think he will. I'm going to bet on him to score a touchdown as well. And, Big Cat, back to your thing that you were talking about with the 2024 draft. Yeah. with at least 150 playoff snaps do you know who the number one quarterback is in terms of epa per play i would say it's probably jayden daniels if it's 150 snaps it is yeah yeah that's true that's that's it has to be uh well that's since 2020 with at least 150 oh got it got it got it i thought you meant just out of the 2024 draft yeah well that's well yeah that would also put him first Yeah, one of one.

32:20He'd be one of one. The Bills, so the Broncos have played some down to their competition at times. The Bills are 6-1 against the spread when facing teams who are above.500 on the season. So they have elevated their games. Now that's against the spread, and this is close to a pick-em. So I guess they could potentially cover the spread and still lose this game if they lost by one. Just keep it close for Josh Allen. So Peyton at home in the playoffs overall, 7-3. Really good record straight up Over the last four games That is the dome Over the last four games in the playoffs 1-3 So it's been on a downward trend We saw this matchup in the playoffs last year in Buffalo And it was not close Two different teams obviously I did see Sean Payton as 4-0 With extended rest Yeah So that's We'll see I can't wait for this game All these games are great.

33:18What's the blueprint for the Bills to win this game? Again, keep it close. Josh Allen. Josh Allen, maybe two tight end touchdowns. Bo Pex. You need Tredavious White to play like he did against the Jags where he was phenomenal. Yeah. You know, he's on the older side, so you need those type of performances from them. Hank, I'm a little bit confused because you loved Bo Nix earlier this season. Doddington Bones. Doddington Bones. Yeah, so the thing with gambling is it's kind of game by game. Yeah. I was not rooting for Bo Nix just as a person. I bet the Broncos. Who would you prefer? So is it just because of home field advantage?

33:54You want the Bills to win? I just, you know, it's what we talk about on the show, especially in the playoffs. You want to be the best. You got to beat the best. Bills fans bother me. They're annoying. I have them in my mentions, and I have personal friends that are Bills fans, and they've been very cocky for the last few years, haven't won shit. and it's similar to the Bears-Packers. It's like we're 1-1 in the season. Yeah, would we be underdogs? Yes. Would it be, you know, it's the Bills game to lose, and I would love to be in that position. Like, I just want the storylines. I want the drama.

34:27I want to go down swinging. I want to, and I don't really want to go to my high. Okay, that was, yeah, you buried the lead there. But more so I want to, like, just crush Bills and their fans' souls. Your hatred for the Bills, will you not be urinating in the trough when I get it? Because we are getting it. Yeah, I don't care. I mean, no, I will. It's pissing on the Bills. Well, no, it's pissing in their bathroom, in their toilet. I mean, I've already pissed in those troughs. I'll do it again. I clogged a toilet in Highmark Stadium. You're pissing. And when we went to that game, I clogged a toilet.

35:01It would actually be. That's impressive. I feel like those are industrial toilets. It was very impressive. We were totally nuts. We were going to get it signed by Bills players, so that would be nice. It was a sweet toilet. But it was impressive still. Hank, you'd be urinating on their – you'd be marking your territory over where they marked their territory. And you said we're going to get them signed by those players, so that'll be cool. Thank you for respecting my power, Max. Yeah, you're welcome. I appreciate that.

35:26Oh, man. It was a Mickey Mouse toilet. I'm not saying that Big Cat hasn't clogged impressive toilets before. He has this one in particular. I would say Mickey Mouse for this one. I feel like stadium toilet – maybe not. I feel like actually... More on clogged toilets than Firefest. I have a story for you guys. Oh, boy. Yeah. Okay. 49ers at Seahawks. Seahawks minus seven, over under 44 and a half. Right before we started taping, Sam Darnold was added to the injury report for an oblique injury. Yeah, questionable. What was that? I don't know. But it's making me think, which might be exactly what it was designed to do.

36:00Yeah. I bet Sam Darnold's going to start. I would say so. I bet he's not going to show any effects of whatever injury it is. Maybe the Seahawks just got jealous. They're like, everyone's talking about the 49ers being so injured. We've got our excuses, too. Yeah. Sam, we are firmly on Sam Darnold pumpkin watch, though. And the backup Drew Locke? Backup Drew Locke. Woo. Future four-time Pro Bowler Drew Locke, I think I predicted his rookie year. What did he say to the media there? Sam Darnold said he expects to be ready to play. Said there is close to 0 % chance he won't play. That's not zero. That's not zero.

36:37We discussed this on Monday's show, but the 49ers have won 11 consecutive wildcard and divisional round games, playoff games. That is pretty insane. It is. Every time they're in the playoffs, they get to at least the NFC Championship game, at least for the last, you know, however long this has been, 10 years. Yep. It's nuts. It's very impressive. And we also go on to talk with Kyle Long in a little bit about Fred Warner. I think we brought him up. just saw the news now that Fred Warner is not playing. He will not be activated this weekend. He's going to come back next week. It would have been crazy.

37:12It's still crazy that he's theoretically healthy enough to play in the next couple weeks. It really is. But it's not going to be this week. Do you think Kyle Shanahan was playing a little possum when they played against the Seahawks in the last week? Don't think so. I know the one seed was on the line. The bye was pretty important, especially losing George Kittle in the first round. You got two guys out, two important guys to your offense. Maybe Shanahan was like, I won't show everything that I have. Yeah, I just keep going back to that game of Week 18. Obviously, it's a totally different game.

37:44Kyle Shanahan is going to make adjustments. But that was a game that people were like, oh, well, Christian McCaffrey, the pick in the red zone, the Niners were in it. Also, the Seahawks should have been up by more. Sam Darnold, remember that goal line? Yeah. Where he should have easily hit the running back in the flat for a touchdown. Like, I feel like the Seahawks left something on the board there as well. And their defense just throttled the Niners. And now, no George Kittle. I don't know. I want to call a shot on a play. A specific play that I'm looking for this week from the 49ers. You know the play that's always open?

38:25The double fake screen pass tight end up the seam? Yep. I think Kyle's going to run that this week. So look left, fake, look right, fake. And then tight end up the seam. And Kyle's, he's done it, and it's definitely in his playbook. But there was one year, I think it was like 2018, he did it to the Seahawks in the first game, and then the Seahawks did that play to him the second time they played. And they ended up beating the 49ers. I'm going to give you credit, too, for the variation of that, the fake handoff, fake screen up the seam. Yeah. I think that counts as well. The tight end's always open on that play, and Kyle loves to run it.

39:02Hank, I got a trivia question for you. Trivia question of the day. P, where is Mike McDonald from, the head coach of the Seattle Seahawks? Is he from Braintree? He's from Scituate, Massachusetts. Whoa. Really? Yeah. You're acting like. That's a shock. That is stunning. I thought you guys all knew each other. So did I. Is this one of your AI things? Is this like the extra point thing? Did I grok it? By the way, the extra point thing. He might have moved to Georgia. He is tied for last place. He did go to high school in Georgia. So that might be where you forgot to introduce yourself to him. That makes sense.

39:46Mike McDonald. Yeah, he went to high school in Roswell, Georgia. He was born in Scituate, Massachusetts. Hell yeah. Sailor rank? 1987. That's big. The other streak that's going on, the Seahawks have won 10 straight home playoff games with fans in the stands. So they lost the COVID year to the Rams 2020 with no fans in the stands. So it's 11 straight for the Niners in the wildcard or divisional round and 10 straight for the Seahawks with fans in the stands at home. We're also on a very tough place. We kind of forgot about the 12th man. Not that we forgot about it, but it felt like we had lost a little bit of the 12th man because the teams weren't as good.

40:28They just weren't good for a while. Yeah. And you lose some of that home field advantage because the crowd's not going to be as loud, enthusiastic. But when they have a winning team, yeah, Seattle's still really fucking loud. I would like to see some rain in this game, just for old times' sake. You know, like when we had the old wet Pete Carroll walking up and down the sidelines. I want to see some of that action going on. Christian McCaffrey is also on watch right now. He's about to tie Thurman Thomas for scoring in nine consecutive playoff games. Whoa. If he gets a touchdown in this one. He's scored an eight right now, and Thurman Thomas has the record with nine consecutive ones.

41:01He's very good. Yep. Memes, did you see the Look Away Jets fans tweet? I did not. There was a Connor Hughes. Is he a Jets beat writer reporter? Yes. he said that the plan that Salah had, Salah, because Sam Darnold's back-to-back 14 win seasons, the plan that Salah wanted and had was to keep Sam Darnold, trade back in the draft, and draft Devontae Smith. Everything's on site. We don't know. All right. I just wanted to throw that out there. I just saw that. Well, that was pre-site. No. That's what he wanted. Yeah, he wanted to do that. He wanted to keep Sam Darnold. No. Failed. you're just refusing you're you're saying this piece of information i've provided strike it yes when i told me people are like oh yeah i want to draft back to patrick moms sure fair everybody want to draft fair fair fair counterpoint when i told memes that sam donald was was questionable for this game his immediate response is mono you wish you're wishing mono you're wishing a second bout of mono long mono no he had he He's an NFL quarterback who had mono.

42:13Yeah. Yeah. Derailed his career as New York Jett. Here's a fun one. Brock Purdy, I believe, is 4-0 in Seattle. Okay. So he's not scared. No. Now, that was obviously Niners having better teams than the Seahawks for some of that. But still, they won week one there. Yeah. They won week one there. Week one, the Niners defense looked pretty good. Yeah. A lot of different guys. Yeah, it's not like there's no similarity to that defense. I don't know what Sal is going to do to draw this up to try to limit the Seahawks passing attack. But I will say that the Seahawks have not looked super explosive on offense recently.

42:55Like they were awesome on that side of the ball for the first, what, like 15 weeks of the year? Yep. And then kind of if they didn't really carry that same momentum, I think the Seahawks are clearly on paper the much better team but we'll see what Kyle's got for him yeah okay next game Sunday we're going to Sunday Hank Texans Patriots right now has it bounced around because I saw there was maybe some three and a halves what is it right now I'm pulling it was three and a half earlier it's three and a half earlier it's been it's been three or three and a half it's three right now minus 120 minus all right so yeah three Patriots minus three over under is 40 and a half how are you feeling what are the vibes vibes are high uh reports that it's going to be potentially a snow game is exciting uh espn is is sending the house they're they're sending everyone svp teddy brewski bunch of bunch it's a big game feel okay monday night football feel monday night football feel on a sunday afternoon on a sunday afternoon espn and i'm just excited i i think uh i think we're gonna roll oh you're gonna roll what does that look like Booty, which I don't know, is a little bit bulletin board material, unpatriot-like, but he was talking about how everyone's like, is this the best defense we've played?

44:13He said, I wouldn't say they're that good. They play a lot of man-to-man, so we just got to – he's like, they're very physical. I'm very physical. We just got to out-physical them. That might not have been smart to say. But I kind of love it too. But they are a very physical team. But maybe, like, yeah. But he's physical too. We're going to meet him head-on, yeah. Who do you think is more physical, Booty or Will Anderson Jr.? Probably Will Anderson Jr. Is Christian Gonzalez going to play? Christian Gonzalez is going to play. Has he talked to the media? He has talked to the media. He's been cleared.

44:44He's been cleared. Oh, he has? Yeah, and he was full contact. I don't think Nico Collins is going to play. I don't think he is either. I don't think he's going to get cleared. That kind of sucks for the schedule. Like, them playing on a Monday night really did kind of fuck him. And who knows if he would have been fine for the game if he had that extra day of rest. But as we talked about, it's pretty much impossible to get cleared if you're in the protocol if you played on Monday night. When you said that, I thought you were talking about Drake May. What? When you said it sucks for the schedule.

45:10Oh, yeah, the schedule. You remember the schedule? I wasn't talking about – Big Cat brought up the schedule, but Drake May – No, that was the nickname that you didn't like that people were saying. I didn't care for it. I don't agree with it. Well, listen, we're in the playoffs. The schedule is playoff football. Playoff football, playoff teams. This is the games that matter. They did a 14-minute – like, it was just Mike Vrabel and Drake May miked up from the game, intercut. It was incredible. Mike Vrabel is just a man amongst men. A man amongst men. This will be the first playoff game with two teams that didn't allow a TD in the previous round of the playoffs since the 2002 NFC title game.

45:50Yeah. I mean, it's Patriots defense. That was Bucs-Eagles, I want to say, 2002. That was 2004. Wait, NFC Championship? Yeah. Oh, no, was that Bucs-Rams, maybe? I don't know. The Bucs always beat the Eagles. Yeah, because I think the Rams won the divisional round. I think that was in the middle of the Eagles' little streak that they had, right? They would lose in the NFC Championship game every year. To the Bucs. To the Bucs. To the Bucs, yeah. 2002, Bucs beat the Eagles. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you want to do your little outsource presentation now or later? I don't have a presentation. I've got facts and informative material about the NFL to better educate the audience as well as us.

46:29And I learned something. Okay? Okay, so this is big. Hank, I'm going to spoil it because it's really just going to be sucking Drake May off because he's a great quarterback. His defense might be carrying him right now, but he's a great quarterback, and he's winning football. The whole sport? Yeah. Nice. Yeah. He's winning football. He's winning football, right? I love it. No, no, I'm saying he is winning. He's winning all of football. No, I'm saying he is winning football. He is winning football personified. Yeah. The sword of football, he's winning. If winning football was a quarterback. Has he won the game of football?

47:02No. No, he's winning. If football was a quarterback, it would be Drake May. He is winning football. And if football was a game, would he be winning that? If football is not a game, it's life. Yeah, it's true. He got you there. All right, so this is just going to be me sucking Drake May off. Okay. Who has the highest completion percentage in the NFL? Drake May. Who has the top passer rating in the NFL? Drake May. You can feel free to chime in. Who has the highest yards per attempt in the NFL? Drake May. who is the best in third and longish situation like third and six who's the best at that Drake May Drake May no oh third and six is when I chimed in third and six might be Drake May's kryptonite oh no Drake May is the worst quarterback in the NFL on third and six no way and it's not close since since he got since he got into the league i'll give you a guess minimum of 10 attempts at third and six what place do you think drake may is in can't be last right 30th give me a number 30th i'll say 24 you say he's third hank you said 24 24 yeah why are you wearing a winter coat I just realized I thought about that earlier We're hanging with the boys I'm like just warmed up Okay So we had a guess of 30th 24th and 3rd It's lower than all 3 of those He is 36th In the NFL On 3rd and 6th Just 3rd and 6th Max bring up the graphic that I sent over to you So you did do a presentation It's just one grab.

48:50He didn't do it. It's just one grab. Shout out Stathol Sports. Oh, the guy who gave you. At the very bottom. Oh, wait. Oh, there's the Jake Elliott one that you got wrong. Well, no. That's kind of right. He is in last place. Oh, Stathol sent him that one, too. Yeah, Stathol was in the office. Remember when he went back, said it was wrong, and then PFT just goes, well, Stathol sent it to me. Well, then Stathol also, there was a screenshot where Stathol said the right. Yeah, so Stathol sent the number off to me. You can't even read the work you don't do. Jake Elliott. God damn it. By the way, Jake Elliott, he's in last place for points after touchdown, his percentage in the entire NFL in the playoffs.

49:28So that part of it was right. That was an inaccurate part of the community note. But, Hank, on this graphic right here, look, it lists all the quarterbacks. He's worse than Brady Cook? On third and six in their completion percentage. Worse than Brady Cook. What is the numbers? Whatever. How many times has he had third and six? How many times has this happened? This makes Sunday's game so funny. the cave anytime there's a third and six it's gonna be high alert third and six is gonna be the best oh we need a third and six come get your boy because he is he is three for oh five for 18 he's five wow five for 18 what a sample size 27 27 the league average i believe is 40 uh now hold on that's like one throw on hank hold on literally like one throw it's 18 it's 18 throws no i'm saying like he's 27 the league average is 40 if he goes eight for 20 then he's there i'm sorry that he sucks on 36 40 that'd be three two more throws three you just went five to eight whatever 50 is the league average he's 27 hank now what pft has presented to you here uh statl stat it's a it's a it's a pft joint featuring stat hole stat hole is a very important part of this research project i i don't know why you're like getting upset at the numbers that's the part that's confusing here you're a stats guy here's all i'm gonna ask hank because i i obviously this is uh it's a very minute stat that doesn't come up very often 36 is a pretty important down but now that pft has presented this to you if it is one minute and 35 seconds left in the game and drake may is faced with a third and six are you going to be at least a little bit nervous and thinking i would already be nervous no oh fuck we're at third and six no i will not be any more nervous than i already would be you should be because he's 27 completion percentage on it so like if you're objectively looking at the game and trying to figure out whether or not you're nervous if there's a i'm not good at math if there's a i'm sorry stat hole if there's a nice guy he's been in the office last few weeks what yeah you got anything to say no how much of a loser do you have to be to be that deep into research to be like all right i need to dig to find some dirt on drake may let's check third and three let's check third and four let's check third and five like how deep do you have to go i don't understand why you're upset about he found a concerning stat how do you how do you find that you don't ask a follow-up question sorry because now you know a weakness that drake may has that he can work on can i ask a follow-up question yeah if we if stat hole found this and pft presented it don't you think the texans have this good point well what do you mean The Texans are going to be like, just get them into third and six.

52:26That's the game plan. They probably don't even have researchers that go that deep. Well, they better if they listen to the show. Yeah, somebody from the Texans is hearing this right now. How would you game plan that? Just get them to third and six. Yeah, that's true. Just stay out of third and six. Yeah. But no, not bolted board. Just make sure if it's second and eight. Six. Or second and six. You got to run the ball. Yeah. You got to get to second and five. Or take a sack. Yeah, if it's second and eight, though, and you're running the ball and everything's closed up, just go down. Make sure you stay third and seven.

52:58Belichick would tell him false start. Yeah. Back it up five yards. Oh, imagine if they false started on a third and six. It'd be genius. I mean, Vrabel's probably listening to this right now, and now he knows. If anything, Hank, you should be kissing my feet for telling you this stat because now he's the total package with that awesome defense that he has carrying him. And if you have this one piece of information, this is one thing that you can improve on. Are you getting the completion percentage, all that stuff? Those are all great stats. Those aren't defensive stats, buddy. No, I'm saying those are all great stats.

53:28Right, so how can you say they're great stats but then also say the defense is carrying them? Last game, I think we can all agree that the defense did a really good job against the Chargers. And how many points? 16 points? It's not a knock because Tom Brady, in his first playoff appearance, scored 16 points. It's not... What'd they do that year? You shouldn't feel ashamed by having a strong defense that can carry your young, flawed quarterback. and this might be the only flaw that he has is third and six it's finally three six mafia hell yeah does the texans defense concern you at all because i really do think this is going to be a low scoring game where it's going to be very tight cj stroud didn't look good can't no nico collins yeah i mean that the defense the their defense definitely scares me but i think our defense is going to hold up against their offense.

54:15I think our offense is better. I just think we match up better in all facets of the game. Okay. Coach, field advantage, quarterback. Defense, they probably have an advantage, but I like our odds. I also, it's one of those, the under, like, I don't know how this goes over 40 points. Right. I don't know who the Texans are going to throw to. Yeah. Well, C. Kirk. but true patriots have no problem defending secrets it's true dalton schultz i feel like dalton schultz if the texans are going to win dalton schultz will be heard from yeah like he has to be did you see the stat that the so the houston texans are the um the newest franchise we have in the nfl they were established in 1999 the oldest franchise we have in the nfl is the Arizona Cardinals because they were the Chicago Cardinals.

55:10They've been around for like 125 years or something like that. The Houston Texans with their win against the Steelers have the same amount of playoff wins as the Cardinals franchise. It's tough. Yeah, it's tough to get through. It's tough. The Texans, are they the only team that's never played in a Super Bowl? No. Lions? Browns? Oh, that's right, yeah. Jaguars? Yeah, that was a dumb dumb question i asked sorry i didn't mean to yeah it's just because the lions and browns are always talked about yeah there's more right no lions browns is it that jaguars texans so what is the stat the texans have are they the only team that's never played in a championship game a conference championship game that might be true that might be the one that might be true because we know the jaguars have yep we know the lions did two years ago and then they did obviously with Barry Sanders as well.

56:04Yeah, the Texans. Yeah, that's it. Okay. They're the only team that – so they're going for history. They're going for history. They have never played in a conference championship game. I guess they were established in 2002. I think they were announced to be a franchise in 1999. Yep. Final score prediction, Hank? I'm going to go with 21 to 10. 21 to 10. Who's winning? New England Patriots. Okay. I'm going to go three and six. Three to six. And I think the Texans win a defensive struggle. You just have to admit, though, we need a third and six in the first quarter on Sunday. I need a million third and sixes.

56:53It could be good for you. You're just going to be able to dunk in his face once you get a third and six. You should be excited for third and six. Embrace the challenge. Big opportunity. I love that. I love the challenge. Hey, why was Vrabel screaming for more milk on the sidelines? Milt. He just kept screaming milk over and over. Milton. Milton Williams? No. It sounded like he was screaming for milk. Milk. I didn't think he was saying milk until he went up to Milton Williams after. That makes sense. I love Vrabel. It was very funny. He was just screaming. Melt. Melt. Melt. I love Vrabel, but if the Patriots make it to the AFC Championship game, I'm going to be a nervous guy.

57:31Very nervous guy. If the Texans make it, I'm going to be a nervous guy with the pinky. We got competing bets. We do. So just to remind everyone your bet. Caring about your friend. I do care about your friend. Remind everyone the bet that was made, what, three years ago? Three years ago that the Patriots would not make it to a Super Bowl in the next five years. I bet Hank$50 ,000 to$20 ,000. We got to look. I remember, too. It was in like a holiday inn lobby on Grit Week. Yeah. We were eating pizza in a hotel lobby, and this bet came out. It seemed like a great bet at the time. And I have to admit, I'm very much wishing I had not made that bet right now.

58:16Very much. And if you win this game, especially if you're playing against the Broncos, I like your chances against the Broncos more. I'd say we'd have better odds. The line would be closer. So, I guess for$50 ,000, which Hank owes me$10 ,000. So, it would be for$40 ,000. $40 ,000. Yeah. You still owe him$10 ,000? Yeah. Pay your fucking debts, dude. I'm waiting. What do you mean? Transfer taxes? Yeah. Oh. There's no point in transferring. Transfer taxes. Capital gains. Okay. Last game. Rams at Bears. Bears are three and a half point underdog. Over-under is 48 and a half. I will be going to the game.

58:56It's going to be cold. cold cold cold I'm nervous for the game I so the Packers game last week I said to you guys on that Friday that I thought it was the truest sense of a 50-50 game possible if I'm being totally honest I think this is probably a 60-40 game in terms of like the Rams are a better they've shown to be a better team throughout the course of the year than the Bears but Caleb Williams has given me a confidence that it's like just give us a shot and give us a give be in striking distance and let Caleb Williams be Iceman down the stretch so I guess this isn't a question for you Big Cat but more for Hank or anybody else that wants to chime in if you're if you're up against the Bears at halftime because I know even in last week's game when you guys were down to the Packers it seemed like it was like the lowest of the low yeah and I was talking to Chief and White Sox Dave at the time and I was like you guys have fought back from this type of game so many times this year yes And they were like, it's nothing like this.

59:54We're done. We're cooked. And from your guys' perspective, if you're the Rams, what would the lead have to be at halftime for you to feel comfortable about it? 28 I Can I answer it I think it would be the same lead because the Rams are better than the Packers which was 21-3 I think if they were up the same I would feel significantly worse at halftime if it was 21-3 than I did last week because last week I felt bad but I also was like hey stop at a score stop at a score I just don't know the Rams offense is awesome they're getting Dotson back we lost TJ Edwards which we'll see what happens there because DeMarco Jackson does have some speed and our team defense does not have great speed.

1:00:44I think C.J. Gardner-Johnson is going to play. Ozzy Trapillo is out. That one hurts. The one thing I'm worried about, and I know there's no such thing as a letdown game in the playoffs, but Case Keenum actually talked to the Bears this week and talked to them about the Minneapolis miracle because he was the quarterback for the Minneapolis Miracle and the highest of highs winning on a walk-off game where they had no shot and they win the game in regulation against the Saints. And then the next week they go to the NFC Championship game and get absolutely throttled by the Eagles. So he talked to the team talking about that, being like, look, that was an incredible game and you have to recognize that's a game, but you've got to move on.

1:01:30so I'm happy similar to like Grady Jarrett talking about you know being on the other side of 23 it's good that we have someone in the locker room who can talk about what winning a playoff game in improbable fashion feels like and what what happens afterwards I love Ben Johnson I trust Ben Johnson I love that everyone's mad at Ben Johnson Matt LaFleur and and and Sean McVay are teaming up against Ben Johnson it's great it's great he's he's got everyone upset he does he does the boys are getting together they're having conference calls now on how to take down ben johnson the the talk has been pretty much the weather this entire week on you know bears and rams twitter i also saw that we are listen this is the fun part about sports is if your team makes a run you know you get to make funny videos did you guys see a bears fan made a doc a fake documentary from 2074 and it was uh ai interviewing a bunch of bears fans talking about how the fourth and eight was when the entire franchise changed and they went on to win eight super bowls i did not see that what is it was it grok i don't know what it was but it was something boy i was watching like we're getting a little out of ourselves but i also love it like they're like it was like an old lady sitting with a bear sweatshirt she's like and and the packers used to be good back then and And then we went on to win eight Super Bowls.

1:02:51What I love about that, if that was about any other subject matter, you'd be like, this guy's schizophrenic. Yeah. Like, this guy's emotionally unhinged. This is not healthy. It's about sports. And so it's like, yeah, dude, this fucking rocks. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It is all about the tournament. Yeah. Everything bad about my life is about to be awesome for the next 70 years. Yeah. How cool is that? Puka's probably going to go off. Yeah. Yeah. Puka always goes off. Puka might get 200 yards just running across the middle. Yes. just got to go score for score. I do think that the Bears will be able to.

1:03:21They have like a high school defense. Okay. They do. Okay. They did pretty well against the Packers in the second half. It's not great. The second half they did. That's not. Listen, the defense isn't great. I want them to win. Pass rush hasn't been good. Just a high school defense. Well, it's just, yeah, you have your fastest guy run across the middle and he's going to get 15 yards. Unfortunately, you haven't said anything wrong, but they did bow up. They are. You know, Kyler Gordon coming back is significant. He played last week. That's a big slot corner. Yeah, just keep it in there. Keep the spirit alive.

1:03:56Keep a chance. I do think the Bears are going to try to slow down the game, minimize possessions, because I do think they're going to be able to run the ball, and especially given the weather, just try to pound the rock. Yeah. I thought this was an interesting stat about the two teams, the two quarterbacks specifically, and how they fare in the second half, because it does tie into the Bears' comeback narrative. Yep. Matt Stafford, his career second half record against the spread when he has a halftime lead. What's up with his finger? He's got a sprained finger. X-ray's negative. I think he'll be fine.

1:04:30Matt Stafford's a pretty tough guy. I think the two things you've got to not, and I want to get back to your stat, the two things that we can't rely on is weather and fingers. Got to go play football. The real field for Sunday night will be negative 23. What is the actual timing of that, though? The game's at 530. So I don't know if that's night-night, like midnight. The high is 5. Memes Zach and I and Eddie are going to the game. It's going to be cold, boys. Why are you doing that to Zach? I mean, superstition. Did you just spill a coffee on all those wires? On all those wires? It's not full.

1:05:11Open? Okay. All right, go back to the stat. Okay, here's the stat, because it's kind of important for this game. Matt Stafford, when he has a lead at halftime, his record against the spread in the second half, the second half spread, 35 % of the time he covers. Only 35%, pretty bad. Now the other side of that stat, Drake May is 36th in completion percentage on third and six, with a minimum of 10 attempts over the last two years. 36 out of 36 quarterbacks. I thought that was an interesting stat given The narrative on this game is going to be If the Rams have a second half lead What's going to happen?

1:05:48Matt Stafford not that great But also Drake May not good at 36

1:05:54Also Caleb Williams Really good against the spread in the second half too What? Why are you so upset about numbers? That's what I don't get You're the most analytical guy on this podcast You come prepared with facts, stats And everything And now you're just like 18 passes is nothing. 18 third and sixes is nothing. Okay. Where's Jaden on the list? I believe he's third. Memes and Zach, are you scared about the weather? That's where you thought Drake was. You guys can say no. No, no, I'm scared. No, I'm saying you can say no. You don't want to go to the game. No, we got to go. We made it out last time.

1:06:32We'll make it out again. Okay. I'm also a superstitious guy. Yeah. We got to go. We got to win. Got to go to the same tailgate. They will win if we go. Yeah. Yeah. Gotta eat that ramen. Yep. Gonna eat the ramen. Gonna do it all. I met a guy that knows your hot friend. Your hot. I'll get a guy. Yeah. Last night. Yeah. He's hot. We'll find out. You tune into the act. Oh, yeah. He's coming tomorrow. Yeah. We're gonna find out. I don't know how this has gotten it. We went to a tent. I saw a picture. He looked pretty low. He looked like every guy in Chicago. Stop. Stop. Stop. Did Big Ed have beer goggles on?

1:07:04I might have. It was like this guy's so hot. Do you have other hot guys that are also coming? No, he's bringing his friends. We're basically doing a Nathan Fielder recreation of the tailgate. Got it. So he's going to tailgate on our basketball court, and then we're going to judge whether I'm gay or not. I mean, if he's not hot, then I might be gay. He looks like Teen Wolf. Is that good or bad? Well, it's a man who has a wolf face. No, no. Non-wolf version of. Got it. Michael J. Fox? No. The newer one. The newer one. Oh, okay. That guy's hot. Right? Yeah, yeah. I saw like one picture. All right, just chill out, Hank.

1:07:47Hit him with the stat. He looked like the CEO killer a little bit. Oh, Luigi? Luigi's high. People have been lusting after him. He did not look like Luigi. I don't think he did. I saw one picture. I was also in the bathroom. A guy showed me in the bathroom. Jim Cornelison's doing the national anthem. That's going to be electric. Oh, yes. This guy rocks. Jim Cornelison's going to be a big factor in this game. Why wasn't he there last week? I don't know who did the national anthem last week. I actually was getting a sausage when that was happening. That was in the bathroom. Is it disrespectful to finish your sausage while the national anthem?

1:08:20I took my hat off. I stopped walking. But I kept eating my sausage. Disrespectful or not? I feel like our forefathers fought for the right for you to do that. Yeah. I stopped. Because I do think, I don't know if you guys feel the same way, when you're in the concourse during the national anthem, I think it is rude to keep walking. I stopped where I'm standing. But I had to finish the sausage. Did you put your hand over your heart? I had my hat over the heart, sausage in the other hand, crushing it. That's good. I think that's appropriate. I think that's good, right? I think I nailed that part.

1:08:54We'll see. We'll see. I'm excited for this game. I mean, it's going to be a hell of a night, especially with how cold it is. It's going to be one of those, whew. It's going to be cold. Zach, are you scared? Yeah, some of the numbers I've thrown around on the Weather Channel numbers I've never seen in a forecast before. They're talking negative 20s. We got to get you, guys. We got to get you. I got you special gloves. We got to get extra gloves. We got to just go. You got to just be wearing as much clothes as possible. Max has ski gear he's going to let me hold. I'm just giving him all my ski gear.

1:09:26Oh, ski goggles is not a bad idea. I have ski goggles too. I might wear ski goggles. You have hand warmers? Yeah. I got ski goggles for you. Ski goggles, hand warmers, get the face mask. Yeah. Let's just cover it up. We'll make it through. I also don't think it's going to be that cold during the game. I think that's like the midnight. Now that you said it, it's going to be colder. I was looking on Apple weather. I mean, I want it to be colder because they're Cali boys and they're soft. Yeah, but remember that Bills game? Well, we were in a suite. I know. Big Cat clogged the toilet. I clogged the toilet.

1:09:57Right now, it looks on the weather app on my phone. It says 20 degrees. It's 745. What do you think it feels like? What do you think it feels like? that five five degrees that's not even cool oh five degrees okay yeah four degrees zero degrees five degrees what was the feels like for that game with the dolphins and the chiefs yeah the minus five is midnight the high for the day is 18 kill Williams the signs you're gonna see that'd be bad the signs are the worst bet you could ever make yeah yeah let's see I'm looking up that you remember that game where yeah they had some dudes in the stands that were going shirtless that one okay that one was negative four degrees fahrenheit and windchill of negative 27 degrees all right that was pretty cold that's very we were and we were out in the parking lot they called it borderline inhumane but that's that's the real 12th man if you can have borderline inhumane weather that is the great equalizer all right should we do our picks and then we'll get to our interviews we got kyle long we got peter cowan talking about the 49ers sub station electrical substation picks draft king sportsbook the number one sportsbook for live betting is making every snap every drive every moment of the nfl playoffs worth watching with over 2.5 million in prizes up for grabs every sunday during the playoffs they're turning up the stakes for every draft kings customers here's how simple it is head to the draft king sportsbook app opt in and receive a promo token place a live bet of one dollar or more on any sunday playoff game and you're automatically entered that's it and every live bet means another chance to win place a live bet and stack your entries all sunday long there'll be more than 75 000 winners every nfl playoff sunday jump in bet live and let the entries roll for a shot at a share of over 2.5 million in prizes download the trafficking sportsbook app use code take that's code take gambling problem Call 1-800-GAMBLER.

1:12:26Yes. PFT and Hank are both safe. Good work. So the standings right now. Not safe. I mean. Are we going until next week? Oh, yeah. We are going until next week. So it would have to be. Fuck. Yeah, we are. We were doing props next week. We did. We did say that. But I'll say this. I'm not prepared. You're safe from second place. Max and I are both 24 and 15. So we both have 24 points. Dominant years Dominant years Not talked about enough 24 and 15 I mean come on Hank Talk about it I won last year No one talked about that Did you go 24 and 15? Probably Probably not Shane find that staff for us Probably not Oh Shane Whatever Moving on Alright so Max and I Hank's throwing haymakers today I think it's the coach I think he feels like He's got a little extra This is Patriots are good cocky cocky cocky hang and but the coat too he feels like he's got a little extra something in between us he's bundled up yeah you look like you're in the town right now yeah fuck yeah who's kawaii taking uh they die max and i heard both 24 points pft's 19 and a half points no they're not actually not true wait what was that little back and forth florida they die in that movie not everyone you're jeremy renner You know you're the fat guy in the ambulance Have a sip of that soda Hank you have 19 points Memes you have 18 Zach you have 16 and a half So reminder it's a 36 hour stream For first place Or last place 18 hour stream for second place Hank you had 18 and a half points last year So there's no chance you were as good as we are

1:14:10So what do you want to say about that? There must not have been as many games. I mean, okay, we might not have done the first round of the playoffs, so even if that's the truth, Max and I had 22 wins going into the playoffs. I mean, Shane conveniently left off the record, that's all I'm saying. Nine to a half points. In an 18-week schedule, you went barely over 500 last year. I did worse than you did last year. You went two games over 500. If you're 24 and 15, that's professional gambler level. That's better than professional. Yeah, that's... We are going to go towel. We should go towel. We should go towel.

1:14:50You're real shamed to have to do that well and have to do a punishment. I know. The tradition of this is that no matter what place I finish in, I do this punishment. Yeah. So the long story is, it's feeling like it's going to be Zach unless he can get his shit together, and it's going to be one of me or Max. It's going to be me. This is Davis Mills all over again. What a day that was. Oh, man, the best. That was the start of Kale Williams. Shout out to Lovie Speth. All right, who's up first? I'm up first. This is also the worst battle for last place. Me and Jack both went 0-2. Hank also went 0-2 last week.

1:15:27I'm going under Rams-Bears 40-and-a-half. I think this is just a race to end the game. Okay. And the Rams field goal kickers turn. Oh, I meant to say that. The one place that the Bears have a significant advantage is special teams. The Rams have been kind of like they got a punt blocked. The kicker's been bad. The Bears' Cairo Santos has been good. Devin Duvernay's been sneaky awesome. Like that punt return he had against the Packers kind of lit the stadium on fire. So we do have an advantage there. Big advantage. Max. I am going under 44.5 Niner Seahawks. A lot of unders. A lot of unders, boys.

1:16:09I'm going to take the Patriots at minus three. Okay. PFT. I'm going to take the Buffalo Bills plus one and a half. Bears plus three and a half.

1:16:30Did someone take the under in the Bears game? Yes, Memes did. The very first pick. Thanks for listening to the show. I will take I don't What? Alright I'll take the over in the Bears game Okay And I'll take the Seahawks Okay Minus 7 Okay I'll take the under in the Texans Patriots games 40 and a half

1:16:59I will take Anyone take the over In the Niners-Seahawks game? Nope. I'll do that. 44.5. Take the over. I will take the under in the Broncos-Bills game. Does anyone take the Bills? Yep. You took them? Yep. It's tight. Hey, it gets spicy. I guess I'll take Rams minus 3.5. Rams minus 3.5. Okay. Did anybody take the Bears? I did. First pick. The fourth pick. What? It's actually the fifth pick. He's mocking me.

1:17:43That coat. Like, the way he's sitting in that coat, you just see him. He's just, he can't be hurt in that coat. He kind of looks like an undercover cop. We got to take that coat away. Like, he looks like he's on the, yeah. Something about that coat. You're keeping a low profile, but you got a piece. You got fat memes. You want me to take the Broncos? No one took the Broncos. I will take the Broncos minus one and a half. Okay. So we go one more, and then, yeah, next week we will list a whole list of props that can be bet minus 110, and we'll go that way. Listen, doing a stream with Zach is not that bad.

1:18:22Right, Max? Yeah. Selfishly, I'm kind of hoping that Zach loses so that this can be his jump start. He's going to lose. This will start. He's going to lose. This will start the Zach's dream. What's his magic number? Is it one? He hasn't won a bet in like weeks. Every time I look, I'm like, oh, Zach, you could have made up ground. Memes lost. Nope. I lost too. So we're saying I'm due. Yeah. How many are you behind? You're behind one and a half. All right. So, yeah, you actually are. We've had the same record for the past four weeks.

1:20:58from the Chicago Bears and the Kansas City Chiefs. We've got to throw them in there. And you can see them on CBS now fighting every day with our guy Pete Prisco and calling games. Let's actually – we want to talk playoffs, but how was it calling your first game? You called the Raiders versus Chiefs. I don't know if you knew this, but in the gambling cave while we were watching the game, we had made a bet. Will there be a quarter with no points? Yes. So we were rooting for the worst possible football. there was points in every quarter but how'd it go you did a great job but how'd it go from your side thank you and like like most things there's a dichotomy between how excited I am to do something and then you have to understand the stakes of the game like the stakes were not very high I mean the first overall pick was already taken care of we had all these graphics about you know situations that could happen if the Raiders you know don't or do have the pick They did have the pick.

1:21:55I was just excited to be there. And as a kid who grew up with three boys in our family, two of us would be playing Madden, and the third would be just sitting there waiting. And my waiting was like faking calling games. And you know what? Now that I think of it, I was usually the play-by-play guy and not the color analyst. Color analyst is hard. First off, you don't know when to talk. That's hard. You're supposed to shut up when the refs are on the field. That's hard. You can't guess on what the penalty is going to be because that's not kosher. So pretty much they're like, be yourself. But then you go be yourself and they're like, hey, just shut the fuck up a little bit about it.

1:22:33We know you're excited, but it was cool. It was so different than the studio, which is like I eat the same breakfast sandwich in the same seat in the same studio every single Sunday. And it's awesome. And, you know, you get used to a routine going to do the games. It's like nothing I've ever done except for playing. You know, you're on the field before the game. You see the size of these guys, the speed, and even a guy like me who played, I forget. So getting to go and be there is special. It's a real special thing. I got to do it with Chris Lewis, who is an up-and-coming star for CBS Sports. He does all the kinds of games.

1:23:08So he's a real pro, and I got to give him a shout-out. He made it really easy for me. That's awesome. Very cool. And you got to do, like, pregame prep meetings and stuff like that, like meet with the coaches? Yeah, dude. Dude, good question there because it was something that I didn't even think about when not doing, like, you know, I had never done games. So I get to the week of the game and they're like, well, clear your Thursday because we've got production meetings with Andy Reid and Steve Spagnuolo. And I'm like, oh, shit, you know, like I forgot that this is part of the gig. Because there's a short notice deal, by the way, for people at home.

1:23:40I got a call week 18. They were like, I think we have an extra game. Would you like to call a game? So I did it. A lot of it was new to me, like sitting down face to face with Pete Carroll. who is sitting there on his, you know, essentially his deathbed as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. And you've got to ask him about messaging and the vibe in the building and, you know, Kenny Pickett versus Aiden O 'Connell. These are the things that people, the sickos that are watching in week 18 in a non-factor game want to know about. And he's a professional. All these guys are pros. Andy Reid, what struck me the most was Andy Reid just being himself, even in this down year.

1:24:19yeah i think that's the different that's the differentiating factor in a lot of these buildings is leadership and it looks different it can look like fuck you packers or like i'm gonna get you guys a cheeseburger right you know like it can look it can look like both ways and still work which one was andy reed in that one andy reed is you know the cheeseburger guy that's my old coach you know there's there's so much there's so much crossover with uh andy reed and myself like it He goes back with my old man and my older brother. And, you know, he had the game plan against my brother, one of those white DNs.

1:24:52And as you know, if you watch a guy like Max Crosby, they get a little feisty sometimes, you know? So there's a respect level there. He's a big kid. He sees that I'm a big kid. There's a reason like Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelsey thrive in that place. It's because, you know, it's Andy's misfit toys. Yeah. And that's the way he loves it. Yeah. Go ahead. I was just going to say, we're going to get into some NFL stuff, but I did have one college question for you. Because I see you're wearing your Oregon Ducks team issued. One of my many colleges. Yeah. Yeah, so do you claim the Ducks? It depends on the crowd I'm in.

1:25:27Yeah, I claim the Ducks. It's the last stop that I made, and it was the spot that got me to where I'm at today. So what was your reaction to that game against Indiana? You guys, you know, obviously ran up against a juggernaut in Indiana. They've been just demolishing teams. are you thinking that they knew that first play ahead of time well quite frankly i had an email drafted to the head of the medical commission in the ncaa and i want all those players tested for steroids um i think instead of nil money they just inject them straight into the butt with steroids you know what i met those two linebackers the two will compton looking guys uh that are out there playing for them and they're great football players and i was at the airport and these two guys cornered me i'm sitting there outside the delta lounge they cornered me they're like we We play, you know, that will energy, like big shoulders walk up on you tough.

1:26:15We play football for Indiana. And I was like, I'm an Oregon Duck. Take it easy on us in a couple weeks. They did not listen to me. My wife is an Indiana Hoosier, actually, Kelly School of Business. Shout out to Kate. She's a badass. And she has been insufferable this whole season. And it's really brutal. You know, she's hugely prideful. And I think that's one thing that I've learned about Indiana. It's not just basketball. I used to think it was like Bobby Knight basketball, a bunch of freaks for basketball. But you give them a little bit of firepower in other fields, and those guys are showing up in droves.

1:26:49It's crazy. It's crazy. All right, so let's talk some games. Let's go through game by game because you also will be – you're coming up to the big desk for the Bills-Broncos game on Saturday. You're going to be on NFL today. I do have a problem with the graphic. So as you and Kirk Cousins are being added, they added a graphic, a headshot of you. you you're skinnier than this headshot i don't like it yeah i don't know see like i fluctuate so much in weight you know as an o-lineman like i literally was telling my wife last night as we were enjoying a beautiful dinner well date night action i was like i want to take it easy on all the apps because i'm going to be on the desk as you put it this weekend and there's gonna be a lot of eyeballs and with a lot of eyeballs come a lot of mean tweets and i want to make sure that My buttons aren't stressed.

1:27:36I'm not, you know, my neck doesn't just give away my sleep apnea at first notice. I just want to tone it down a little bit. And I'm glad you pointed that out. I think it was an old roster pick. We need a new one. Yeah, we need a new one. We need a new one. So this game, though, it's it's I had this take last week with the Bills Jags, and I think I'm just going to roll it again. it's essentially that the Broncos are the better team overall, but Josh Allen is on the other side. And if the Bills game plan is simply let's keep it a one-score game going into the fourth quarter and hope our guy has the ball, I trust Josh Allen.

1:28:13When looking at this game, I also think we do this weird thing when it comes to buys in the playoffs. We forget the Seahawks and Broncos exist, and they're a really fucking good football team. Yeah, and then you remember that they exist and you get sad. because it's not just those six teams that we've been watching. Right. Look, I mean, you make a great point. Is there anybody you want the ball in their hand more than Josh Allen? I mean, and there's like a very short list of guys that you could have in that conversation, and I would respect you for it. But with Josh Allen comes one of the best offensive lines in football.

1:28:45With Josh Allen comes one of the best second-half defenses this season. I mean, I think they're top three, top four, and that's really good. They make adjustments the right way, Even though they don't have the horses as they have in years past defensively, they find a way to adjust and they disguise well. And, yeah, Josh Allen's the cheat code. On short yardage, that's what you want. And with Gabe Davis down, it's going to be a heavy dose of Khalil Shakir. The tight ends are going to be used a ton. But I think about, you know, Bo Nix has a horseshoe up his ass too. And I don't know how much of it is Sean Payton.

1:29:21I don't know how much of it is just that it factor that we've seen with a guy like Caleb Williams in Chicago, where you feel pretty good in the two minute situation. And I think that both of these squads have it going on. Obviously, the guy who is from Krypton is Josh Allen. Yeah, but I'm worried about both groups and they both have good offensive lines, like great offensive lines. We're looking at two of the best stables in football. And, you know, the X factor is going to be, do these rushers for Denver keep their nose out of it? Do they? So they like to line up really wide. And when they let them.

1:29:58Let's get nerdy with us. This is why we have you on. Let's get nerdy on some of these games. Well, the two guys, it's, you know, it's Cooper and it's Benito. And their superpower, in my opinion, my humble opinion, is their ability to get off the ball. So, like, when the ball's snapped, their head is like two heads forward. before you can get out of your stance. And those are the kind of players that keep you up at night as an offensive lineman. It's like if there is any baseball players out there, I used to dream about not being able to swing the bat. Like I could see the pitch. I couldn't swing.

1:30:29You know what I mean? I couldn't land a punch in my dream. That's the same kind of nightmares these guys give you. Well, one thing that they do that, you know, it gives some guys problems, but I don't know why they do this. They line up super, super wide. And when you line up super wide, you swing the pendulum to, I'm going to stay outside on this rush. When you stay outside on the rush and run by the quarterback, it gives Josh Allen free reign to look at the guards, look at the center, figure out where he's going to go. Some guys like to scramble outside the pocket. Patrick Mahomes likes to get outside the right tackle.

1:31:05You see a lot of their blocking schemes where Travis chips the defensive end across the tackle space. And now you've got that shield working to the right side. Josh is a guy who can drop back in a non-schemed anything and just be like, oh, the ends are by me. I'm going to take what's given to me. And it's not like we're in week seven where it's protect your body. We're in crunch time, bro. We're in the part of the one minute 42 mark in a great movie. Buckle up because this version of Josh Allen is what you fucking pay for all those apps. and that's why you watch. Yeah, and another superpower he might have is kind of, it's offsetting Denver's superpower, which is the altitude.

1:31:49Josh, number one, is super tall, so he's used to breathing that thin air. And then number two, he went to school in Wyoming, and their stadium is 7 ,200 feet above sea level. So it's even higher than it is in Denver. So Josh, he's used to playing the altitude. dude. You mentioned like a defensive player that would keep you up at night. Did you actually wake up in the middle of the night thinking about an opponent? I would say the hard part is falling to sleep. And, you know, there's, I always heard my dad talk about there's nothing as fear inducing and anxiety inducing. Like, you know, there's obviously a couple of things we can name that are very real and very violent and dangerous, but football is one of those things and like i would find myself from a skill standpoint being kept up at night just understanding that some of these guys are from different planets some of these guys are from pandora and i'm just uh from earth and that's why those dns get paid so much money yeah and with the defensive side of the ball buffalo's got a really good pass defense their cornerbacks very very good they've had a lot of success there they can't really stop the run that well the broncos off and on they they can be effective at running the football but it's not like they're you know that's what puts them at the top of their game i think um how do you see that matching up well i totally see the denver broncos leaning into the fact that they have two things they've got a quarterback who as we said is good in the fourth quarter and in two minutes so uh they're okay being in like a one punch one score ball game i feel like that doesn't intimidate this group i really think that you're going to see a heavy dose of the run game with the Denver Broncos.

1:33:31And they're going to test the backs of those defensive linemen. And they're going to take them into deep water or thin air. They're going to take them into thin air, dude. And we're going to see how they do in a dogfight. And let's just hope that if the Denver, you know, if you're a Buffalo fan, let's just hope that if the Denver Broncos can assert dominance on the ground as an offensive line, that this Bill's offensive line can, you know, counterpunch and Josh Allen can be the guy who can get you over the top. Yeah. All right. The night game on Saturday, Seahawks Niners. Niners are the walking dead in terms of injuries.

1:34:08I mean, we knew this all year. Then losing Kittle. Do they – I just keep looking at this game and it's like, I just don't know how the Niners are going to move the ball. And it might be wrong, but the Seahawks defense, we saw what they did to them in week 18. Sam Darnold had some misses and didn't play a perfect game. He played a pretty good game. And it feels like the Seahawks are in a situation where if they can just play defense, they might not even have to put Sam Darnold in a situation where he can make mistakes. Well, the good thing is for Kyle Shanahan, he knows what doesn't work against this group.

1:34:42True. And Kyle Shanahan's a genius. So my, you know, my 4-D chess brain is thinking like, well, he knows it doesn't work. He probably knows what works this time. But also Christian McCaffrey's playing. Brock Purdy's still playing. um and i think that's important there's experience there at the quarterback position where regardless of how close against the wall um they are and however many swords they have drawn on and brock birdie's been a guy that has shown up and i've been really impressed with him look the it is so heavily in in favor of the seattle seahawks like i just want people to really understand and you painted the picture of the injuries and it's been that way they got to move that power station i don't know if you guys have talked about that oh yeah oh yeah the interview after you is with the guy from who i'll stay away from it we we got we got to the bottom of the power stations but let me just say if i'm in that building i'm i'm i'm laying the jersey on the code the gm's desk rudy style what i'm saying power the power that yeah what what is it about the seahawks steven it feels like they're just at every level look they have they have they have winners inside.

1:35:49They've got winners on the back end. I mean, they've got guys who can win and pass and run. And I think that's a big time thing. And oftentimes you see guys that are run stuffers. Some guys are great on third down. They can keep their unit out there and they can just go. And they've gotten so much out of those guys. And I think it's a culture thing. They understand with Mike McDonald being the defensive head coach, this is their team. This is the defense's team and yeah and they want to rid themselves of the legion of boom as badly as Caleb and the Chicago Bears want to rid themselves of that 85 Bears talk so I fully expect the defense to leave from the front and Sam Darnold's the wild card I mean we know that but every quarterback is kind of the wild card here Matt Stafford threw a couple picks Caleb Williams threw two picks ugly picks the other night but ended up helping his team at the end it's all about how Sam finishes.

1:36:43They're going to be around. They're going to either be winning or tied late in the fourth quarter. And I hope that Sam Darnold gets it done because everybody's taking a shit on Sam Darnold. Yeah. I think it is fair to ask if you really trust him in these types of games when it really matters. And it's not specifically a knock against Sam. I trust that team. Yeah. Yeah. They're a great team. JSN might be the best receiver in football right now. and always one of the two guys, Charbonnet or Walker, they're going to try to find the hot hand, and one of the two of them is going to be effective in that game.

1:37:17What have the 49ers done defensively to counteract them losing everybody? They don't have any players anymore. I don't know how they're doing it. They've lost every player. They've all been injured. If you find out what Robert Sala is feeding the group of guys that he has on the field and telling them every week, I mean, put that in a jar and sell it because that is gold. He has done such a great job and such an unsung hero of gluing together a defense. And even though some weeks they give up a 40-burger, it's like you come to expect that. It's kind of like that group last year that Detroit had on the field.

1:37:50You're watching the commander defense there for a while at the end of the year and into this year, unfortunately. But that's the way it goes late in the season, especially if you're by a power substation. Yeah, that's true. And to think that Fred Warner. is even close to playing. It's crazy. It's unbelievable. It's crazy. I've referenced people from other planets a few times, and he's one of those guys. He really is. I got another guy from a different planet. It's Trent Williams, one of your big men up front. That dude, he's a monster. I was lucky enough to root for him and watch him in Washington for so many years until we misdiagnosed his cancer.

1:38:30It's like the ninth thing on the most embarrassing things that organization did at the time. They misdiagnosed his cancer. I forgot that. Yeah, and he was like, I'd rather not play for your team anymore. And I was like, fair enough. I will root for you moving forward. Godspeed. Good luck. So I do love watching him play football. And from your perspective as an offensive lineman, we know we can see the stats of how valuable he is to the team in terms of wins and losses. But can you maybe even get a little bit nerdy with us? Like, what is it about Trent Williams and his presence that makes his team as a whole that much better, as opposed to some other great offensive linemen that might not have that same effect?

1:39:04Well, I think with Trent Williams, what sets him apart is his movement, his ability to move laterally with great efficiency. And in pass protection, he gives ground grudgingly. He is a guy that's willing to fight the fight at the point of attack. And for those of you who have never been in an offensive line room, you can picture in your head what a pass set looks like. You've seen running backs make fun of O-Lyman doing it, you know, with their arms goofy behind them. they're getting to the point of attack. Okay. So they take their kick, kick, and then they, and when Trent Williams decides to build a wall somewhere, that wall is going to be found centuries later.

1:39:44And they're going to say, Trent Williams built this wall. That's the kind of guy he is in pass. And I think even more dangerous for opposing defenses is his ability to move and cut off defenders on the backside of run plays. Now he's fantastic as a lead, as a lead guy, you know, putting a dent in the defense. You know, if we run a run mid zone behind Trent, he will displace the defensive end five yards laterally and five yards vertically. But on the backside of plays where home runs are hit in the running game. OK, so like front side is where you make three to six yards and then you fall over in a crowd.

1:40:21The backside is where you can hit your head on the goalpost 40 yards that way. And Trent Williams is one of those guys in the league who can cut off any defender, whether it's a three technique. So he's an offensive tackle. The guy inside of him on defense is a defensive tackle. That defensive tackle can line up anywhere from head up to the guard or tight to Trent's shoulder. And anywhere, anywhere within that space, he can cut off anybody. And it's an unfair advantage for them frontside and backside. side yeah all right talking about defensive lines the Houston Texans and the Patriots playing on Sunday that defensive line for the Texans feels like they're just playing on a different level how like in this matchup I I kind of like the under in this game I feel like both offenses are going to struggle because we know CJ Stroud has struggled uh this year but how do you see this game going down well I think it's gonna we're gonna find out how great Drake May is because even in last week's game, you could see the protection breakdowns, particularly on the left side of the line of scrimmage for the Patriots.

1:41:24And obviously with those edge rushers, somebody's going to get a one-on-one every single one of these plays that Drake May has dropped back to pass. Let's hope the Patriots can lean into the run game. I think that'll be vitally important. And then on the other side of quarterback, CJ Stroud is a bigger question mark, in my opinion, than Sam Darnold, than Bo Nix, than Caleb Williams. It is kind of crazy what has happened with him and the career arc he's been on. Obviously, they've had coaches change. They've had a number of injuries in the receiver room. But it just feels like his confidence isn't there.

1:41:57And I remember watching him play his rookie year thinking to myself, God, this guy's already a top five quarterback in the league, just based off of sauce and confidence. And that tells a lot about a player. Yeah, and it's crazy to look back at that Monday night game with the Steelers where I think if you play that game out and it's any other opponent and it's two fumbles lost, an interception in the red zone, that's usually a losing effort in the playoffs. Yeah, it's probably why Aaron Rodgers was so frustrated in the locker room allegedly saying, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, because they weren't able to overcome or they weren't able to capitalize on five fumbles, two picks.

1:42:41I think they lost two fumbles. They fumbled it. C.J. Stroud fumbled five times, lost two of them, and threw a pick in the red zone. You should win that game. It doesn't work usually. And thank God for that defense. And it's like you hear the phrase championship defense. This is a championship defense. It's like just don't drop the ball and we'll be okay. We should be in every game. Yeah. Are you familiar with Trent Brown and his tattoo game? Trent Brown's tattoo game is explicit and x-ray. My favorite tattoo maybe in football history, Trent Brown. He was on part of my take. Yeah, we talked about it.

1:43:19We talked about that tattoo. as a refresher it's a tattoo of him with two women pleasuring him at the same time big Trent Brown fans on his arm huge Trent Brown fans what was what was the best tattoo you saw in the league uh I had a teammate who was an edge rusher who was an elder statesman in the locker room and he had a tattoo right below his waistband of a buck and it read all you can eat under a buck

1:43:50and he'd be like my wife hates it oh that's incredible holy shit that's pretty good holy shit uh so when it comes down to this game though there's a lot we don't know we don't know how it's going to play out we don't know if drake may is going to be able to stand up to this defense i was actually impressed with what he did last week even though he didn't look good against the chargers for the most part he didn't play a great game but the defense was getting in his face and he adapted he ran with the football a lot do we expect to see the Patriots try to do that use his mobility are we gonna have some other plan where you hand the ball off and quick passes well I think a lot of what this game plan is going to be based around is whether or not they can sustain any sort of run game inside because off of that to your point Drake make an extend plays to the outside he's great at the deep ball he throws the ball accurately he puts it in a friendly position.

1:44:41He just has to have different windows to be able to throw that thing. Launch points have to change. And that's what's going to keep that rush group honest. You go stretch to the left, stretch to the left, stretch to the left, boot to the right. Now that backside defensive end is kind of in a blender. You're going to cut those backside defensive ends. You're going to hit them with anything you got to keep their eye level down on the blockers instead of the football. And I think a lot of that involves getting Drake May out on the move. Okay. I have just, from the beginning we started this interview, all I've wanted to talk about is Rams-Bears, so we're here.

1:45:15How are we feeling? Is the weather actually matter? Because that's pretty much the main conversation right now online is the weather. And I love the – I love bear weather. I love all this talk. But at the end of the day, the weather's not going to score you touchdowns. We can't just say, hey, the weather's going to win this game. So when you look at the Rams, I'm terrified of their offense. I think their defense has some leaks. And it's just like, can the Bears maybe not get in a hole this time and put together four full quarters? Well, I think it's important to point out with the weather that if there is any sort of precipitation or the footing is poor, it's advantage offense.

1:45:57We know the play. We know what direction the play is going. We know when we're going to snap the ball. and we know which one of you guys we're going to get to a man. Defense, you've got to do a lot of reacting, a lot of cutting, putting your foot in the ground. The Soldier Field grass, I know it's been renaissance, revitalized. Yeah, Matt Eberflus. Shout out Matt Eberflus. The one good thing he did. You know what? Shout out Matt Eberflus. And I do think that it is advantage offense. I do think that it really doesn't matter because our defense is not great. Right. It's going to come down to a shootout.

1:46:30and they asked me how many points the Bears have to score in order to win this football game. And I kind of jokingly said 38. And I'm kind of like, was I kidding? Yeah. Because you can take a look at Matt Stafford's, you know, 32 and under, 32 degree and under games. And you can say, well, he's not good in cold weather. And I'll tell you, go look at the football teams that he was on during some of those losses. And us three can sit here and tell you he was a warrior on a horrible team for a long time. So I'm going to throw those records out the window. And I'm just going to take a look at what he's been doing recently.

1:47:04And what he's done recently has been the MVP of the league. So Caleb has to string together four quarters of clean football. We have to establish the run because just like the Houston Texans, they've got some dogs up front for the LA Rams. And we're aware that on the back end, they have some flaws. But in order to get to the back end, you got to kill the Rottweilers at the front door. So I expect Ben Johnson to have a good plan, John Wick style, to take out some dogs. So the front end for the Bears, the offensive line has been great this year. Ozzy Trapilo, a really terrible injury in the game on Saturday against the Packers.

1:47:40He's out. How much of a – like as a unit, switching out a left tackle, like what does that do to the rest of the unit? Is it something that you can just be like, all right, we're good. It's not a guard. It's not someone in the interior. Or is it like, hey, this is going to be a little bit different and it's going to be tougher to fight with a guy who's been there for at least the last half of the year and been playing well, and now you've got Theo Benedict, who's seen time this year, but he wasn't starting for a reason. It sucks. Now there's three things going for Theo Benedict that I think other teams just flat out don't have.

1:48:20He's got the best guard in football playing in his right hip pocket in Joe Tooney. and Joe Tooney has played with a ton of guys and he's technically sound, he's quiet, he's efficient, he just gets it done. And he has the unique luxury to be able to do his job and keep an eye on his buddy from Canada, Theo Benedett. Now, you and I were talking earlier this week about some of the benefits of having a guy like Theo Benedett. And to talk back to our points about the game plan, Theo Benedett gets after in the run game. Right. Okay, I've described him many times as being like a hockey star. He's a hockey player and forcer playing tackle.

1:48:56They just took his skates off, gave him cleats. Go get him, bud. And he's been great. And if they run the football, great. If they pass the football, we have the unique ability to have Cole Komet and Colson Loveland on the field. Ben Johnson is the other. So it's Joe Tooney in your hip pocket. It's Ben Johnson who knows more than us, and he's going to do a great job of protecting his guy. And it's Caleb Williams evading sacks at a rate that is off the charts. Yeah. So he's got a couple things going for him, and he's not going to be alone very often, I would guess. I would agree with that. I don't know if Ben Johnson takes requests, but I would very much like to see a play where you get a matchup that you like, maybe get Loveland matched up against Emmanuel Forbes and throw just a quick pass to him and let Loveland carry Emmanuel Forbes backpack style for about 30 yards down the field and just run into the end zone with him because that could be an issue.

1:49:49Emmanuel Forbes weighs about 160 pounds. He's started to play a lot better in the past year or so, but he still has his moments where it's like that's a guy that I would probably try to attack if I was a Chicago Bears. If I'm Ben Johnson, I feel good about attacking anybody with any of my guys, and I feel strongly about that. And I don't care who gets off the bus. like this offense has the ability to score 35 points a game, let's say. And when that moment comes around, I mean, there's matchups that you want to exploit, but it all comes down to who's going to perform in the moment. I've seen it from our guys.

1:50:32I love that. The only issue is the other guy that they're competing with is Matt Stafford. So, I mean, I'm going to be at the game. It's going to be wild. I'm definitely going to have to have a number of pregame beers to get settled. Yep. We're going to do that together. and then I'm going to put the balaclava on and I'm going to go incognito, man. I love it. All right, so one last thing about the cold because you played in a lot of cold games. How much does it actually matter? Because I know that the sidelines – talk us through it. Like the sidelines are warm, right? They have all the heaters.

1:50:59Sidelines are hot. Yeah, hot. So what is it – when does the cold actually suck? Is it when you're on the field for a long time? Is it, you know, when the refs are on the field, that's commercial? Like when does it actually start to suck that you're in this cold? During warmups, it sucks because you're getting that initial shock of it. And like the first time you hit your teammates full pads and everything, that sucks. But then you get to the bench and you get warm and you get cozy. But you have that thought in your head of like, I have to prepare to be very cold here in a second. And nothing can change.

1:51:29From the bench to the huddle is where you're like, you know, it's like in those movies where there's two doors in the outer space space stations. You like go into the middle part. It closes behind you. It opens. And then it's like outside. I mean, that's the feeling you get, not only the atmosphere of being in an NFL game, but man, oh, man, it's cold. And then long drive. Sometimes there's TV timeout. Sometimes there's reviews when you're standing around and not moving. It is cold. You just like you see guys do like running in place and stuff like that. You're just you don't want your body to fail you.

1:52:01And that's what your body wants to do in those cold conditions. I saw you tweeted out the over under of Rams players wearing sleeves or going shirtless and warm ups. You said it at two and a half. It sounds like you're saying that the Cali boys aren't going to be able to handle a lake effect. Somebody actually replied to that tweet and said that this group had done it before and they got waxed. So they're cognizant of not looking that way. And I don't think there's a benefit to it. I think Sean McVay might be like, don't do any of that dumb, tough guy shit. Let's just go beat him. I feel like that could be the messaging as well.

1:52:38Also, the Matt LaFleur, Sean McVay side quest is interesting. Yes. So does that, like, obviously Matt LaFleur and Sean McVay are good friends. We all know that. The way that the game ended. Some would say better than good friends. Better than good friends. They're best friends. Matt LaFleur, the way the game ended was embarrassing for Matt LaFleur. He obviously is probably not having the best week. But is there anything that Matt LaFleur can share with Sean McVay that Sean McVay doesn't know already? Like, how does that? They're both incredible football minds. Is there any like he choose dentine ice?

1:53:13Yeah. Like what, what, what I think what happens there where they get on the phone? And is it? Cause I saw that clip and I was like, uh-oh. But then I thought about it. I was like, it goes like this. I fucking hate Ben Johnson. Yeah. Right. Right. And then he's like, I think I'm going to fucking hate Ben Johnson too. Yeah, dude. I'm sorry. That sucks. I love that Ben Johnson's hated by everyone too. It's fucking awesome. It's like, he's got a defense. it's like a video game. He's got to defend like multiple levels of Shanahan's. Yeah. So like he takes out LaFleur, then he gets McVay and then final boss Shanahan.

1:53:45Then you got super boss, maybe D 'Amico Ryan's another Shanahan. It's a middle ages game of Thrones style blood feud in the national football league. And I'm here for it. I honestly, I think it's a little bit embarrassing that the, that the coaches that are good friends are like, we're going to, this guy's fucking mean. Yeah. And we're going to beat them. I love it. It reminds me of people that team up in solo lobbies and video games like if it's a pvp game like i'm supposed to be fighting this guy in this building i don't need you coming over here saying stay right there i'll get him you heal up like nah bro that's bullshit that's uh it's weak shout out to arc raiders by the way yeah i actually we're gonna zach think of a question about video games because you're gonna do the roadback question in a second uh real quick winners for each game go down the list i've got the bears beating the rams i've got the Seahawks beating the Niners.

1:54:38And then Patriots. And I've got the Patriots winning, too. And then, yeah, you don't want the next round, too? I can give you the next round. I'll tell you what's going to happen. I mean, I've got the Broncos beating the Patriots. I've got the Seahawks beating the Bears in Seattle, and then I've got the Seahawks beating the Broncos in the Super Bowl. I know it's chalky. I understand that, but people always say, like, oh, you just picked the one seeds. Just because they're higher seeds, and this sounds backwards, just because they're higher seeds doesn't mean they're better teams, okay? Yeah. Sometimes there's, like, context around this stuff and nuance, I think the word is.

1:55:16Yeah, I mean, the Bills opened as favorites. I think it switched back to the Broncos' favorites. But that's not, you know, picking the Broncos is not like they're 14.3. God forbid I pick the teams that I think are going to win. Yeah, I actually – well, I don't even want to get ahead of myself, but I do think, like, if the Bears have to play the Seahawks, That's a nightmare matchup because of how good that defense is. But hopefully we have that problem to get to after Sunday night. Yes. All right. Rowback question. R-H-O-B-A-C-K.com. Promo code TAKE. 20 % off your first purchase. 1:55:50Rowback.com. Promo code TAKE. Zach. Zach is up. Zach. Have you ever met Kyle? You've never met Kyle? I have not met Kyle. No, sir. What's up, Zach? So, go ahead, Zach. Virtually I've met Kyle. Kyle, have you dabbled in – I heard the shout out a little bit earlier. Have you dabbled in Arc Raiders at all? Oh, big time, buddy. Big time. I'm ready for my projects are done. I'm ready for the expedition. Now, are you going, are you doing like PVP? Like, are you going after other teams or are you going against the map, against the arcs? Sometimes I do a little recruiting when I'm doing against the arcs.

1:56:21I'll do some recruiting and solo lobbies. But for the most part, I'm testing out the guns that I got for my free loadout. You know what I'm saying? I like that because I'm historically running free loadouts too, man. It's too risky to go in there and lose everything. That's it. That's it. Kyle, have you, follow-up question on Zach's question, have you ever accidentally stayed up until 5 a.m. playing Arc Raiders? Yeah, I stayed up, and then I was late to a really important meeting, actually, this one time. I'm sorry that happened to you, man. It happens to some people sometimes, and all we can do is be better, right?

1:56:50And then did Howie came in and fired you? Yeah. You just got to, God willing, help the team and keep showing up. Yeah. What happens in an NFL locker room when a guy sleeps in through a meeting? uh twelve thousand dollars non-tax write-off uh and man oh man just like the look of death oh sometimes it's better to not to be late to the meeting just miss the meeting oh good point have an excuse and be like hey sorry i didn't let you know i was busy i i something came up emergency yeah if you can flip it on them and make them think that maybe you're dead then it's like they feel guilty i'm having a baby i was having a baby yeah where it's like He's not here, and now we have to actually worry about his safety, so we go from anger to concern.

1:57:36There's a lot of that. There's a lot of like, you know, where is this guy going on? Or if you're super late, just bring something in, like bring in a bunch of donuts or bring in breakfast tacos. There was a fire at Dunkin' Donuts, but I got these donuts out in time. Yeah, thank God. What were you going to say, Zach? You got a question, follow up? I was just going to wish him the best in his endeavors, into the unknown, into the map. Zach, it sounds like... That wasn't his question. It sounds like he had a question. What was the question, Zach? I was going to ask if that really happened to you because of our graders.

1:58:06No, no, it didn't. I didn't want to ask. It was like a thought I had out loud back here. I'm just like Kyle. You know, it's like Misery Loves Company, I guess. Yeah, he was trying to help you out. Now, would you be open, Kyle, in the offseason to potentially teaming up with Zach in some... 100%. I would love to. I'm a gooper myself. I'm a goop lord, so goop, goop, goop. I'm down to get gooped, Kyle. Goop, goop, goop. And maybe, Kyle, you could do us a favor and, like, at one in the morning, you can tell Zach when you're playing together, like, hey, Zach, time to go to bed. 11 o 'clock is actually my bedtime.

1:58:43You know, I get the text from my wife sometimes, like, did you fall asleep on the couch or slash where are you? You know what I mean? And then I got to shut the computer off and go. I got to, like, sneak into the room. Listen, Kyle's at all. Zach, I will say this. Kyle's, like, all-time gamer. I've told this story before but it still makes me laugh when we went we stayed at Kyle's house when he was still living at Lake Forest and we stayed an extra day and Kyle was so locked into the games as we left the next day we're like hey Kyle we're leaving and he was just like oh shit I forgot you guys were still here that's why I was with the emergency sometimes also Kyle had the greatest kitchen of all time remember I think we watched you eat two full pizzas at like 1230 at night because you're like I gotta keep the weight on and it was just hey we'll leave the light and the oven on for you yeah it was every single corner of your kitchen had the greatest snacks of all time yeah that's it i'm still struggling with that now um you're also i think like a thought leader in the iRacing setup yeah you were you had the racing simulator ready to go i think that's that might have been what you were playing yeah a lot of iRacing and i haven't iRaced in a while i actually gave my setup to a guy named country music and I now I'm getting the itch to do DCS again and like yeah flights it flights in me later you ever I don't want to bring that up because I know me and him or could go for a while on this stuff yeah you ever go on the the custom servers on multi no I'm when it when I have to download mods I'm like I'm out I like to play vanilla anything but I can I could like design a mission and then send it to you and then you'd have to fly that mission what would your mission be for me I got to think of a good one I don't know I got to get in the lab on that one uh i let me know i'm ready i'll be training i have to buy a new computer this is kind of embarrassing i have to buy a new computer because uh the dcs modules take up so much space in my computer that i essentially have to have a new computer just for that game it's like 1.5 too many jdams in your computer yeah oh man all right kyle you're the best thank you guys and everyone tune in NFL today Kyle's going to be on the big desk very excited for that and yeah we'll see you Sunday man see you guys thank you very much Cal Long was brought to you by Microsoft picture this it's Monday morning you open up your laptop Outlook hits you with 87 unread emails your calendar looks like a game of Tetris played by a toddler your boss wants a report your team wants a presentation you want a nap Enter Microsoft Copilot.

That's an app that you can find. So he's a circadian science and photobiology plus biophysics. And you probably recognize the name because he went pretty viral last week talking about the electrical substation next to the 49ers facility. So, Peter, we saw it. We thought it was, you know, we love, you know, weird Internet and also just like theories and everything that's out there. Let's start here, though. So thank you for joining us.

2:03:12Let's start here. Can you explain this to me like I'm five years old? because I read your thread, and the minute you started using some big words and numbers, my eyes glossed over, and I didn't know where I was. I felt like I was actually in the 49ers facility, and I was about to tear my Achilles. So what is this? Explain this to us. I mean, that's kind of how I feel right now. I'm being on TV and stuff, but I'm going to do my best. So let's think about it this way. So the wireless stuff, basically, it dries you out on the inside. So have you ever taken a rubber band and like left it out in the sun and it goes from being nice and stretchy to being brittle and snaps?

2:03:53Yeah. That's a really kind of the most simple way to explain it. Okay. Okay. And what about this? Like, so what is the substation next to him? What is it doing? Why is it there? And then what is it like emit that is then potentially hurting the 49ers? Yeah. So, I mean, why is there? I think it's been there for decades. And it's just, that's how power is distributed in cities. And it's emitting something called an AC magnetic field, alternating current magnetic field. And that's a form of what we call non-ionizing radiation, which has traditionally been considered not to be harmful unless it gets so hot that it can heat your tissues.

2:04:34but there's been a lot of research in the past 50 years or so actually showing that it can cause harm at the cellular level by dehydrating yourselves among other things. Okay. Okay. Interesting. So the 49ers, I think they're the only team that, that we know of that practices so close to one of these facilities. Yeah, I did. Sorry, go ahead. No, you can finish. I did a lot of research and the other ones that I could find that were somewhat close were, We're like at least a quarter mile away or so. And at that point, we'll have dissipated. Yeah, we actually have a substation that's right next to our office here.

2:05:09So when we saw this from you, we started to worry about ourselves and if there's a way that we can check it. Now, you went out to the team facility and you had, what was the name of the, was it a Gauss meter? Gauss meter. Yeah. So what does that measure? That just measures the strength of an AC magnetic field. Okay. Okay. And so you measured it across the facility from the substation or how close did you get? Yeah. So I was on, actually, I don't live down there. I live in Oregon and I was down visiting my family and my dad, my dad was driving me to the airport. We were going to just stop by the facilities and then go to In-N-Out Burger.

2:05:42And my plan to go get really close to the practice facilities was quashed because there's all these gates and stuff. So we went around back, there's like a park and ride and i got my gas meter out and it was the very back of the field and i noticed an elevated magnetic reading and i got closer and it got higher and then my dad started having some he started feeling sick so i had to take him to the doctor and i left like that was the whole thing lasted like a couple minutes wait do you think he felt sick because of the substation or the in and out i think he felt sick because he didn't get a chance to have in and out Actually, no, it wasn't.

2:06:21We didn't make it. Now, he has some health issues. Okay, all right. So that's unrelated. What's your order at In-N-Out? You know what? I like the animal style, protein animal style, and I'll get one double-double with cheese. Yeah, one double-double and then one with just single version. Then I'll get, like, fries and a vanilla shake. Oh, hell yes. Do you get fries animal style as well? I don't because my daughter has this hack where you can get – you can just get the animal sauce. They'll give you like 10 sides of animal sauce, and then you don't have all the cheese on it. Yeah. And the thing is, she'll order more than me, and I'll finish off her food and the cheese on her fries.

2:07:00So it kind of just works out. Do you like the fries at In-N-Out? Because I feel like that's the one. I like In-N-Out in general, but I feel like the fries, like McDonald's fries are so much better. I mean, McDonald's fries are the gold standard, let's be honest. But I mean, you know what? I like any fry, honestly. So I'm cool with the In-N-Out fries. You get the In-N-Out fries well done. And if you get them well done, they're a little bit more crispy. And so they're more like, they're still not the McDonald's fries because nothing is. But yeah, I was going to ask another question about In-N-Out, but we should probably go back to the 49ers thing.

2:07:34Who tipped you off to the 49ers? Or did you come to this conclusion on your own that you need to go check this out? I got to call out Chase Sr. He's a YouTube commentator who covers the Niners and the Eagles, I believe. Okay. and uh but i should be clear like i grew up in the bay i love the niners i love the raiders too um i love all nfl actually just to be clear i like watching teams that aren't my own so i don't feel stressed about who wins or not um so i went to a niners game a couple years ago with my daughter she really wanted to go and we were going up the back steps and i saw the substation i was like that's weird like makes me feel weird um and then this year chase senior called out an interview with John Feliciano where John was saying, you know what?

2:08:18We think that it might be the substation causing the injuries. And he was joking, but he also wasn't joking. And then he went on to say there's some very high, high-level players on the 49ers who believe that this is causing the health issues. And then he left it at that. And I think that clip has been scrubbed, honestly. I cannot find it. I found it two weeks ago. Can't find it anymore. Interesting. And are the Niners more injured? at like are they injured at a higher level than every other team or is that just noise so here's my understanding i'm not a stats guy i'm like a wellness guy well i don't want to say i'm a wellness guy i work in the industry but like i eat fries from in and out burgers so don't lump me in with those people um there's a guy named aaron schatz i believe his name is he's a stat nerd and that's where i got all my data from and he showed that by adjusted league games lost or something like that adjusted games lost they were like in the bottom third or whichever's worse the bottom or the top for 10 out of the last 11 years and then the year before that they weren't and they went to the super bowl and then the one year which that they weren't in the past 10 years they went to the super bowl again and that's the one where drae greenlaw snapped his achilles tendon achilles tendon running from the sidelines onto the field that's right are there any measures that a team could take if if this was an issue for the 49ers yeah is there anything they can do to protect themselves from uh these waves while they're practicing like does i i remember watching um was it better call saul where his brother was afraid of electricity so he like wrapped himself like somebody that just finished a marathon you know put the put the aluminum blanket on or whatever yeah yeah if you made like maybe you know copper undershirts or something like that Yeah, like tinfoil helmets or something.

2:10:05Yeah, guardian cap, yeah. I don't know. The thing is, it's a chronic exposure issue. So it's not so much, you know, the acute, like while they're there playing something. But I think my suggestions is more about, so we talked about cellular dehydration. So you got to do things that increase hydration at the cellular level. And that's like, basically, without making your guys' eyes glaze over again, it's things like red light therapy and like getting outside and getting your bare feet on the soil and just kind of hippie stuff and then you can do other things like molecular hydrogen there's there's all sorts of things that can be done what would you say though to people who are so so my understanding like the Niners have a real a lot of really good players so when those really good players get injured we notice more yeah like there might there I think they were I don't think they were the most injured team this year so is it maybe a little bit of a confirmation bias because we know who George Kittle is because we know who Christian McCaffrey is because we know who Fred Warner is so when they get injured it's news whereas it's actually they're not the most injured team they just have a lot of really good players who happen to have gotten injured it's totally possible you know I'm not wedded to my theory you know I heard about this and I got it happens to be my area of specialty and I looked into it and I'd like, there's some, some real mechanisms here.

2:11:28And, you know, I, I didn't get close enough to actually prove that the facilities have that exposure, but, you know, to get on touch on a larger point, it's not just the magnetic fields. It's all of the wireless that we're using all the time, wifi, solid Bluetooth, everything, which has increased dramatically over the past 10 years. And particularly in Silicon Valley where there's just very, very high density of this stuff. So, yeah, I could be wrong. It could just be confirmation bias. I don't think so. And I'm I pretty much stake my reputation on this. Like, but I actually appreciate you saying that, you know, you could be wrong because I think that that's part of this is like when these theories get thrown out, if you're if you're stuck on one side and you don't you will not acknowledge that it could be something else.

2:12:15that's where we get a dangerous spot where it's like people are saying no this is exactly how it is no this is we don't know you're just throwing out something that could potentially have an effect and maybe they should look into more i i exactly 100 and just just to get more specific about one thing like one of the things i mentioned in my article was the circadian rhythm disruption which has to do with light exposure at different times teams in the nfl are already taking this seriously brock purdy wears those blue light blocking glasses oh i need those yeah are those good should i get those they are yeah yeah you should hit me up afterwards and i'll recommend some some really inexpensive ones what time do i put them on at night you put them on basically at dusk but oh i do like if you can if you can like you know i'm not i'm not one of those guys who's like you got to live a perfect like do everything exactly right all the time at all like so if it's like you can put them on like two hours or an hour before bedtime great you know Like, do what you can do.

2:13:14I'm looking at a list that I found right here. It looks like the 49ers missed, in terms of games this season, they missed the seventh most in the NFL total. But the impact of the players that they missed was quite a bit higher. They were third in terms of, they call it total points missed, and that's from Sports Info Solutions. that I guess kind of weighs it in terms of how important the players were in theory for how many points they could have scored. I was thinking more about the substation that we have right here next to our office because we are in a position where we could do some legwork, some field research for you.

2:13:53Yeah. Can we design a study that could put this to the test? I was thinking, and you can tell me if this is just completely off base or not, we go out, we buy some really nice steaks. We get some good ribeyes. and we leave let's say six of them right next to the substation that we have and then we take the other six and we put them also outside further away it's cold here in chicago so the uh the the danger zone in terms of temperatures i don't think we're going to get above refrigeration levels um then we put six more stakes on the other side of our building far away from the substation. Then we wait maybe a week and then we have one of our coworkers cook up those steaks for us and we eat them and we see which one is more tender.

2:14:43I think that's a great idea, but I worry about wasting a ribeye. I think I might go for like a New York steak or something else. It's just like a little bit. Yeah. I kind of just wanted to eat ribeye steak. Oh, okay. But yeah, we could do that too. I think you should find some test subjects. so you you eat the nice one you eat the one that's not near the the substation and get somebody else to eat the one that's right next to it oh i thought you were saying that we take like two different people we give them like a baseline concussion test and then we send them we have them stand outside their designated areas for like 12 hours and then we bring them back in re-give them the concussion test and we see if one got worse than the other yeah there you go where where where did you study all this stuff like how do you how do you get into the line of work that you're in you know that's a long story but basically i spent a large portion of my life very unwell and um just hitting the wall over and over again just my whole life falling apart from illness marriage falling apart everything you can have happen and i finally figured out what was on um when i learned about this circadian rhythm stuff and it was such a radical transformation that i all of a sudden had all this energy to like pour all my energy into this stuff so i can learn everything about it and help other people and i've been doing that sorry go ahead yeah no no keep going you've been doing it for how long i've been doing it for about six years but two years ago i left my i was working in tech and i left my job and i dedicated all my time i've been in a hole for two years.

2:16:18I didn't watch a single football game until a month ago. Wow. So, all right. So what's the things that we can do to better ourselves like on a day-to-day basis in terms of circadian rhythm and like getting that energy? Yeah, I think it's really simple stuff and it's all free. So basically you want to do your best to protect yourself from artificial light before the sun rises and after the sun goes down, but especially before it rises because that's the signal that sets your clock for the day so if you're going to get those blue blockers and you wake up before the sun is up put them on and then right when the sun comes up go outside take them off and stand outside for three minutes and if you can't get outside open your window and look outside make sure it's open though and if you can't do that then just go outside as soon as you can as early as you can and I think the magic number is if you're going to miss the sunrise, you want about 30 minutes outside before around 10 a.m.

2:17:14And that's going to go a long way just to getting your clock synced up. And then at nighttime, sun goes down. I want you guys to go have fun and live your lives and stuff. But like you're not out having fun every night. Like when you're at home and just chilling, just put your blue glasses on, you know, to look cool for your roommates, your wife or whatever, your kids. I don't know. Like they can let them make fun of you with your dorky glasses on. And go to bed early. Yeah. I remember back in, I think it was 2016, 2017, there was a trend of sunning your perineum, exposing yourself to sunlight in the darkest of black holes.

2:17:53Is that something that you've ever heard about or looked into? I've heard about it. And my friends tease me about it because they think I'm the kind of person that would do that. Never tried it. But there is evidence that if you get sun on your boys that your testosterone will go up okay all right that's yeah that's good enough i'm just trying to get higher t yeah um all right well peter i had one last question for you uh rowback question rhoback.com promo code take 20 off your first purchase q-zips polos hoodies joggers shorts rowback.com promo code take my last question for you is so we actually were at the 49ers facility was it like six years ago seven years ago i think seven yeah so is there anything with the substation that would make you hungrier and unwilling to pay for your meal because we were sitting with Peter King at the stadium and we bought him in and out I bought him in and out and he did not pay me back and I'm trying to figure out like it's been kind of gnawing at me for seven years why didn't he pay me back is it maybe the substation I think it'd probably be the substation and then like just all the all the frequencies within the field because of all the fans and everything yeah yeah but i think that's a bummer and he should definitely buy you some either from the internet or there's this place called smoking pig barbecue okay in the stadium that has the best burnt ends i've ever had okay um he should buy you that yeah all right well he has the opportunity to make it right yeah the ball is yeah he should buy me some too i don't know who he is but he's got my name yeah yeah peter buy buy all three of us in and out or smoking pig burnt ends is that what you're saying yeah well it will it will bury the hatchet because it was clearly the substation that made you so rudely not pay us back yeah we won't hold it against you anymore and we won't you know we have called him selfish we've called him cheap we've called him a bad bad friend really and uh we'll stop doing that if he if he does make it right uh i i had one more question for you about uh the uh the electromagnetic frequency stuff yeah i've heard doctors say uh especially doctors that have a history of treating sports injuries that they do use electronic stimulation on the muscles, on things like that to encourage growth.

2:20:01So where does this disconnect come in between a little bit of it or some of it can be good and then also it can be bad at the same time? So it depends on what you're talking about. I did see the NFL doctor guys talking about like Pulse DMF. Yeah. Is that weird? Yeah. So that's a very controlled exposure for a short duration. And I would point out that the person that was basically responsible for creating that therapy is Dr. Robert O. Becker, was very pointed out that you'd have to be very cautious with that kind of thing, because it could, if you did too much, you could cause issues with like growing tumors and that sort of thing.

2:20:41And then just things like TENS units and stuff, since we were talking to the 49ers back in the 60s, there was a statistical anomaly of ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease among the 49ers players. And there's a theory that it had to do that. They were overdosing the tens units. So, you know, I'm, I'm careful with any intervention. You know, I, I try to subtract things and rather than adding things and yeah. Okay. Is it a possibility that our exposure to the substations has caused us kidney stones that that might be all the like diet coke you're drinking okay yeah probably probably probably all right well peter thank you so much for joining us it's got to be pretty crazy that this whole thing went viral right like did you wake up one day you're like holy shit everyone's talking about this i mean yeah i on january 6th my kids had come back from their moms because we got a custody thing and i always uh when they were with her for Christmas.

2:21:39I celebrate on the 6th because that's the epiphany. And so we had a Christmas celebration. I posted the thing, had a Christmas celebration, closed my computer for 24 hours, woke up the next day. It was at a half million views and it was going up by a half million every hour or so. And it's been nonstop ever since. It's been really fun. The whole world thinks I'm a conspiracy theorist. And yeah, I'm just writing it. It's amazing. I can't think of anything that has ever happened like this as far as in pop culture emf exposure getting any anything other than kind of like what you mentioned the better call saw crazy treatment yeah yeah people taking seriously and you know i'm i'm happy to be the one here and take all the hits because i can take it yeah okay okay awesome thank you so much peter really appreciate you joining us yeah thank you so much it was fun to be here peter cowan is brought to you by Microsoft Copilot, the AI assistant that actually helps you get stuff done.

2:22:38We spoke about it earlier, but it's truly a lifesaver. Copilot works across Microsoft 365. That means it works across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. It turns chaos into productivity. If you need a presentation, Copilot builds it. Need a summary of a meeting that you definitely zoned out in? Copilot's got you. It can analyze data. It can rewrite emails, brainstorm ideas, and even help you sound like you know what you're talking about, which frankly is a miracle. So stop pretending that you're going to circle back or touch base or whatever jargon that you've been faking. Let Copilot do the heavy lifting.

2:23:11You just take the credit. Learn more at Microsoft.com slash M365 Copilot. Okay, let's wrap up the show. Fire Fest of the week. Let's start with the show, Fire Fest. Our darling Pug is leaving us. Love you, Pug. Love you, Pug. Pug is, why don't you tell everyone, Pug, you're not leaving the company, but you're leaving us. You're going to Farm Upstate. Yep. Love you, boys. It's been an awesome four years. I'm going, I'm from the East Coast. I'm from Jersey originally, so I'm just going back to the East Coast, and I'll be working in the New York office for the post-production team, so I'll still be at Barstool, but unfortunately won't be with the show anymore, but it's been a hell of a ride.

2:23:53Yeah. We're going to miss you, Pug. We're going to miss you. You've been a great addition to part of my tag. Pug, all-time vibes guy. Oh. Everyone loves Pug, except Max sometimes yells at him about the Eagles. I love Pug. What do you mean? Yeah, he does love Pug. I yell at everyone. We've gone back and forth a couple times. Memes doesn't love Pug. If the justification of whether I like someone is if I yell at them about the Eagles, then I like zero people on this planet. That's true. That's a fact. You didn't make Shane storm out of that dinner one time. Yeah. You were the did you sleep with an onion guy.

2:24:23The onion comment. It'll go down in history. Yeah, we loved having you part of the show, Pug. You're the best. And for people who don't know, Pug is editing all of our videos and his works. He's the guy who, you know, when we finish it at midnight or one in the morning on a Sunday, he's here till four in the morning. So he's always, you know, kind of one of those behind the scenes guys that needs more. Thank you. And we thank you, Pug. And we understand, you know, you're going. You bought a house. Yeah. Bought a house. Central Jersey. So Miss Pug, it's getting getting real. Pugettes. Pugettes.

2:24:58Maybe some Pugettes We'll see We love you What should we do with the name Pug That's up to you guys We had an idea There's only one Pug I think AWLs will appreciate Colton who's also I think AWLs have been introduced to A few times He's going to be taking Pug's place He's a very very funny guy He's from Arizona He wears the big shirts He's the man Big T. Just a cool vibes guy. We were thinking that kind of like Ugga, when Pug leaves, we just make Colton Pug. He's Pug 2. Well, what we were really thinking of never addressing this. Correct. And just doing like an Aunt Viv Fresh Prince character change.

2:25:49And just having people just be like, what the fuck? Have Colton just say 99 Pug every time and see if people realize what's going on. Yeah. There can only be one Pug. and that's that's our pug what can there be two there might be able to be pug two i i don't know how i feel about it just yet because pug is pug's pug pug is pug but i also don't want to lose having a pug well we do we do have some continuity with colton and i because i i had the lactose thing going on and colton has celiac so oh that's good yeah actually that's almost the exact same thing we're filling in with what even is stomach gluten so we're going from lactose to gluten so So we're continuing, you know.

2:26:28All right, you decide if you want Colton to be Pug. Pug 2. He might need to find his own way. I don't know. Like, you know, let him develop something naturally, you know. I like Big T. That was pretty good. Big T, I don't know. People don't remember that. He does need a nickname, though. Yeah, I think let it happen organically over time. Pick the number 45 every time. Yeah, you'd be Colt 45. We don't need to, like, just. Every time. the pug thing wasn't planned. Sometimes. The pug thing was similar to the Bubba thing where it was like, we need one. There was just a guy named Pug. Spider girl. Spider girl.

2:27:07That could be good. Yeah, that girl. Okay, we'll go with Colton for now, and we'll see if something pops up. It's pretty much when we find a fun name and we're like, oh, that would be cool to have that guy in our crew. Yeah, that was Bubba. Yeah, that was Bubba. We need a Bubba. That's all we just need. We just need to find like a hoss or I don't know. We'll figure it out. We'll let it play out. All right, Hank. Big Dom. We love you, Pug. Love you, too. Oh, he could be Big Dom. Oh, now that's a good nickname. There's only one Big Dom. But Hank would hate him. Stop. Stop it. Hank, fire fest. Go.

2:27:48Who's hosting the show? Anyone who's being rude to Big Dom Loses privileges

2:27:59Man just took away your privileges Hank You just got your privileges stripped of you Big Dom is a privilege My fire fest is I'm going under I'm a 32 year old man But I'm scared You've never been under? You're getting the penis surgery? Not the penis surgery Not the Nose job? Not the nose job I probably need a nose job. I think your nose is cute. Not the chin implants, not the penis reduction surgery. Breast implants? Augmentation, no. I'm getting wisdom teeth removed, and I have to get another tooth removed in addition. So you're going full under? Full under. Knocking you out. I think that's the way to go.

2:28:43Knocking me out. I will not. I don't think I ever told a story. Yeah, I was just saying, How did we get to a point where you need to have two teeth removed? You sound like a dog. Well, it's your fault, but I won't blame you. Oh, it is? How is it my fault? You just ordered the Super Bowl sundaes and food, but it's my own fault. I put that food in your mouth? I got a sweet tooth. You know I have a sweet tooth. I've always had a sweet tooth, and I think this is a result of that. I think it probably was. This is a tooth I have a root canal on, and I don't think I ever told this story, and I will not be doing this.

2:29:14I will be taking it easy and resting all day Saturday. I'm not going to make the same mistake twice. I told you guys knew about it in real time. I didn't say it on the show because it was a crazy set up circumstance. I don't know how a video or picture never got out. I got oral surgery. They gave me medicine. They never said anything about not drinking on it. They never, nothing on the medicine label said anything about not drinking on it. I went to a concert. After the concert, I was eating and I passed out in a plate of nachos and had to get taken out of the restaurant on an ambulance with like stoolies and stuff like yelling.

2:29:43I like kind of was like come to and I was like getting taken on a stretcher with people being like, hey, hey, hey. And I was like, it looks like I just like overdosed in this fucking. Yeah. What was the Mustang Harry's? Mustang Sally's. Mustang Sally's. Yeah. Bad, bad scene. All time bad scene. We'll not be doing that this time. We'll just be resting all day Saturday. And then hopefully people I've gotten varied reports on wisdom teeth surgery and how long it knocks you out for how long you're droopy for. I'm hoping I'm just 100 percent for Sunday. so that when it's like third and sixth, I'm not just like, you know, I can fight back.

2:30:18Yeah, I can fight back. I think it is Mustang Harry's, by the way. Yeah. So I had all four of mine taken out probably 20 years ago. It took me out for like four or five days, but you're only getting one out. So I think you're going to be okay. I got all four of mine out in high school and it took me out for one day. I heard if you drink pineapple juice. But you can't like eat anything. You're just holes in your mouth. Yeah, I just remember the next day I went to – I didn't play baseball, but I went to baseball practice the next day and, like, watched the practice. You saw baseball practice. I was good enough to watch baseball.

2:30:53So, Hank, if you drink – You'll be able to watch football. Exactly. That's kind of what I'm thinking. If you drink pineapple juice, what? I heard if you drink pineapple juice the night before, there's no pain. Okay. You'll have one day of pain for sure. Who'd you hear that from? Peter Cowan? What? What? Someone told me that. Who? Someone I know. Okay. I think you're going to be out of it, but you get to eat ice cream. We have ice cream here. Can we get a video of you out of it? Owen is going. Can you please? Henry after dentist? Yeah. Sugar-free ice cream. Henry bit me. No sugar. And then my other fire fest is, yeah, Max planned a goodbye lunch after I told him.

2:31:36So you hate Pug. I forgot. I planned a pug goodbye lunch. I had said in the group talks, like, hey, I'm going to be getting the surgery Friday morning. I'll be out of it all day Friday, all day Saturday. Then, like, an hour later, Max was like, hey, planning this goodbye lunch. Can you make it Friday afternoon? I kind of forgot. I kind of – sometimes you just don't think – you don't remember things. Yeah. Yeah, sometimes you don't think. I also – Yeah, Max booked it at a place where – Jeez, I booked a lactose place for sure. It's called cheese? No, it's an Italian restaurant that specializes in pizza.

2:32:11That would have been very funny if the place was called cheese. It's a fondue restaurant? Yeah, it's just cheese. What's on the menu? Cheese. I didn't think about that when I booked it, but it's a good place. We'll have fun. We'll take a couple of lactate pills. Whatever. Yeah. You'll be fine. All right. Good fire for us, Hank. So you'll be out. We are streaming, by the way, Saturday. New York is streaming the first game. We will be streaming the night game. Sunday, we'll be streaming the whole day. Zach, Eddie, Memes, and I will be going to the Bears game. I will be there Sunday. I will not be there Saturday.

2:32:46Maybe just a little bit Saturday. No, zero. Yeah, just come for a little Saturday. Yeah, just come for a little. Nope. What if the only thing you can eat is ice cream? I have ice cream. No, but like soft serve. No, I'll be at home. You need soft serve after that serve. Just come for a little Saturday. No. Pick me up. Pick you up? Okay, done. I'll pick you up. I will absolutely pick you up. Okay. PFT. My fire fest is I caught whatever it was that Zach had. Bad, and I've got a bad case of it. Cry-itis? What do you mean? Zach cried. She's been crying? I heard that Zach cried on the screen. Zach cried about a video game.

2:33:23That's his. That's his. Oh, okay. We'll get to that later. No, when Zach, unfortunately, was a little bit late the other day, we were sitting there, we were waiting for him, and the very next day I was supposed to show up at the office at 8 a.m. I woke up at like 8.05 a.m. And I looked at my phone. I was like, I don't remember. Maybe I forgot to hit save on my alarm. So it didn't go off. So I panicked, drove to the office, got here about 50 minutes late because there was snow on the road. So it was like really hard to get in at that time. And just the whole day is thrown off. When you start your day in a panic like that, you never really catch up and ever get calm over the course of the day.

2:34:03And then this morning I'd wake up Barstool, which starts at 7 a.m. So I usually wake up around 6 a.m. for that. Made double sure that my alarm was set last night because I can't miss that. And I woke up this morning at about 6.20 after my alarm. Got into work with plenty of time because I just like ran out the door. But then I started to think about what was going on. And I got a new sleep blindfold. and I've told you guys about the Bluetooth, the wireless that you like fall asleep on. The new one that I have, I guess the alarm goes off through the speakers of the blindfold. And in the course of the night, I kind of wiggle my way out of the blindfold.

2:34:44The old blindfold that I had, the alarm, I guess the blindfold would shut off in the middle of the night. And the alarm would come out of the phone. The new one, I think, comes out of the blindfold itself. got it i'm glad that i pinpointed what it was because two days in a row having that kind of mistake very nerve-wracking driving into the office before i figured out what was going on yes i was like am i just did i become did i did i catch it from zach and now i'm a sleep through the alarm kind of guy so zach it happens see we actually hank and i were talking about it uh on wednesday or whatever day it was and hank was saying he was like i can't really criticize Zach because I've done it and I was like yeah I mean it really Max memes and I I think are the only ones who haven't slept through something so you're you it's 3v3 I don't you shouldn't even say that out loud why because I probably will at some point you're a beast yeah you are a beast sleep yeah sleep and I just kind of get up yeah so look Zach you're good yeah you're good it happens but I did blame you when I the first thing I did when I got to the office I was like yeah Zach did it yesterday so I think I caught it.

2:35:48That's completely understandable. That's definitely transmitted. Next time we go on a trip Zach we're going to test out my internal alarm. Remember I told you? I think I'm pretty sure that I'm at the point where if I don't set an alarm I will still wake up within five minutes of when you tell me to wake up. What if it's a wake up parcel day? We have to get up early. I do. On Tuesdays I set my alarm for six o 'clock. I'm awake at 545 every single Tuesday. It sucks because I just wake up before I should be up. Well, that's kind of what I did today because I no chance in hell do I normally wake up at 620 a.m.

2:36:21Yeah. But this morning it was like I panicked in my sleep and I knew that it was time to get up. Yeah. Yeah. We'll test that out. Maybe at the Internet Invitational when we do Megabed again. So you're almost predicting your alarm. Yeah. I wake up five minutes before my alarm every single day, no matter what. I I haven't heard my alarm go off in a long time. That's huge. But it also sucks because I'm just waking up before I need to wake up. And sometimes it gets really bad where it's like I'll wake up an hour before for no reason and just be up. Hank, what if instead of the$50 ,000, what if I just gave you the opportunity to win a share of$2 million?

2:37:05Which would you rather have? Oh, wait, no.

2:37:12What would, it would depend on what the share is. Well, I guess it would be like a third of about$2 million-ish. So, whatever that math is. Yeah. We're not math guys. $600 ,000. $650 ,000? $666 ,000. The devil? Isn't the Invitational$10 million? Oh. Oh, is it? Oh. That's what they said. I don't know what the official... There's a lot of numbers. That's a lot of upside, Hank. Yeah, would you rather take$50 ,000 the day after the Super Bowl? Well, no, wouldn't it be the day they go to the Super Bowl? The day after the... It'd be less than two weeks. At some point during Super Bowl week, would you rather have$50 ,000 or the opportunity to win up to a third of$10 million, which would be$3.3 million?

2:38:02There's like seven bored apes. you'd rather have the 50 it would depend i mean we're i'd have to see how your golf game is yeah i'd see where it is my golf game yeah no i'm saying what if you had the opportunity to win it for yourself hey you could also just take the money now and then invest in pft later that's true that's true i will be accepting investors i will be we'll see we got a long way to go i'll be investing you're like mincy you just play for free i'm opening it up to investors yeah something to think about something to chew on something to chew on i certainly said that with your teeth sorry okay my fire fest i alluded to it uh clogging toilets so one thing that happens when you have little kids is uh you do not have privacy whatsoever so the other night i was uh i was taking a shit and my four and two year old not only came into the bathroom but like brought their toys in too while i was like sitting there and started like playing with their toys is just watching me and I clogged the toilet.

2:39:01So then they had to watch me unclog the toilet and then finish up. And it was just an entire lot of questions being thrown around, a lot of things being tossed around, just an absolute debacle. Like if you think clogging a toilet is bad, wait till you have a four and two-year-old watching you every step of the way and being like, what are you doing? Why are you doing that? Why did you stand up? What's going on? What's that plunger? The funny part is they're probably going to go to school or like daycare or whatever. and they'll be playing house and then they'll start to unclog a toilet and then the teacher will be like, what are you doing?

2:39:34Oh, my daddy showed me how to unclog a toilet because he clogged the toilet. Dude, it's crazy. There's no barriers in my house anymore. Every single week, once a week, no matter what, I'll be taking a shower and then I'll just look out the glass door and there'll just be a little person staring at me. And I'll just be like, where the fuck did you come from? That's just how we operate. So it's quite something. And I am also, like, concerned at what age is it, like, we're putting lasting memories. I don't think four is a lasting memory, but I think we're getting close to, like, six is definitely a lasting memory.

2:40:08Six is, yeah. You start to remember things like your dad clogging toilets. Yeah. Super Bowl Coke cans, things like that. Yeah. They did bring it up the next day, too. So that might be a lasting memory. Yeah. Yeah. If it's imprinted in there, for sure. Yeah. They're like, remember when you clogged the toilet? Thanks a lot. Appreciate that. Okay, Zach. My favorite this week is a quick one. I don't know if it was due to either a poorly timed screenshot or maybe some AI, some of that new tech. I've been having a battle like cry accusations all day today. Everybody just thinks I was weeping and sobbing online.

2:40:38Yeah. Not good. You were crying. My ducks are so dry. What happened to Bush? They were doing some pool play to get into the Challengers Elite bracket that they did successfully make it into today. Oh, okay. First two games we did today on that, but it was just an ups and downs. The end of the map was some up and downs. It was very stressful. and this screenshot is maybe doctored. You look like you're crying. Why did you cry? It's okay to cry. All emotions are valid. It's definitely okay to tear up and it's even okay to sob if you need to sob. Oh, you're crying, Zach. We're watching the video. This is not a doctored thing.

2:41:11You're crying. There's no tears. I look sad. I definitely look sad, but everybody just thinks I was bawling. It's happy tears. Yeah, those are happy tears. Also, maybe you're fire fast, Zach. you forgot to share with the AWL is a key piece of the story about your dad firing you? We did talk about it a little bit and more in depth on the yak. I guess if this is added information, my mom did also work there. So it was a family situation. So you went home to dinner and both parents were coming home from the office that you had just been fired from. It sounds a lot worse. Yes, that's exactly what happened.

2:41:48Yeah, because I had asked you, I was like, would your mom at least have your back at dinner and she's like no she actually worked there too yeah she was probably she's she's working hard continually staying employed and i was i got canned when you woke up the next morning did you wake up in time to go to work i would know the next the entire evening just stay up do whatever because it's like all right i just got today can't get any worse we just got fired so maybe i guess just fire up the game Yeah. Maybe grab a beer. I don't know. But just, there's nothing to look forward to the next day except for more employment, hopefully, the next day.

2:42:22Did she give you any pep talk or words of advice? No. No. It'll be okay, you know. You'll figure it out. So, you know, it was like, those years of, like, trying to figure it out. I'm still just trying to figure it out. But, you know, one day at a time. But you're doing okay now. Yeah, we'll take it one day at a time, yes, sir. That's the right attitude to have. I don't think, I think we're done with the sleeping in stuff. I think this is the last we'll hear of that. He also said on the act that it might be a seasonal thing, so we're predicting three more this year. That was also gun to head, though.

2:42:53I wasn't going to throw any numbers out anywhere. They pulled out weapons. But I think if he sleeps in for – at least he set a line. So he slept in once, winter. If he has three more this year, we can't be that upset because at least he set it. What do you mean by seasonal? Because the advertisement that we did, that commercial, that was not winter, was it? That was his fall sleep in. So is it like quarterly? Yeah, it's quarterly seasonal. No, he's not saying the past has been seasonal. The future it will be seasonal. Well, no, the past also has been seasonal. No, the past has been, I think.

2:43:30But that's why we're getting better. The past has been micro-seasonal? We're getting better. Like fall, summer? Fall, winter? Past might have been transitional seasonal. Yeah. So quarterly. Worst case. We hit our quarterly. You hit your goal for the quarter. Bad day. We're on time today. We're going to try to be on time moving forward. That's our ability. You're super on time today. And I'm spreading it now. I'm sorry. You caught that PFT. I shouldn't have spread that. That's on me. Yeah, it's okay. It's okay, Zach. Okay, let's finish up the show. Love you, Pug. 2:44:58I saw the new lottery ball machine. It is awesome. So that will be debuting after the Super Bowl. This one, we're just basically running up the score. Everyone's gotten it. Colton has not gotten it. Colton, would you like to say something? Colton, have you ever gotten it? Colton, have you ever gotten it? No. Okay. Numbers. 90. 36. Oh. 98. You can't. Yo, Hank already got 98. I thought he got 90. Didn't you just say 90? Ah, you bitch.

2:45:32Two. Nine, nine. Whoa. Oh. Last one ever. There was a lot of pressure. There was a lot of pressure there. Everyone else guess, then Pug will finish Everyone else guess Let's redo it Let's redo it No, keep going Maybe we call it Colton 14 14 Alright, wait Let Jack and Shane guess 66 2 I'll go 18 Here you go, Pug 7 18 10 What'd you say, PFT? I said 36 Okay Yeah 9-9 Pug There we go Love you guys This would be awesome Come on, Pug This would be an all-time 9-9 would be so sick

2:46:1698! You son of a bitch! You son of a bitch! Actually, winning now is the worst time to win. I've thought about that. Winning is winning. Good point, Max. Max has thought about this. I have, because this really means nothing until we get the new machine. No, no, no, no, no. It means everything. The fact that you just... Wait, no. Who has the longest streak without getting it now? Not me. Bitches. It might be me. Who just said it doesn't matter. Oh, no. Oh, no. I actually don't think. I think it's BFD. I think it might be Max. Wait, but just so we're clear. You won it on Pug's final day, and you're going to lunch tomorrow?

2:46:57I'm going under. Okay, so you hate Pug. We're not seeing Hank until next week. All right. Let's see who's got the longest streak now. I think it might be me. Oh, no. Oh, no. 319 days. More days longer than me. Yeah, it's me. Oh, no. PFT. It's all right. We're getting rid of this machine soon. And we all go to zero. Hank had the longest streak. 333 days. Wow. You might be at negative 40 ,000 at that point. What? I don't know. You're just talking shit. You're going to give Hank that money. Oh, God. Are you talking about how much money I will owe Hank? Are you rooting for the Patriots? No. Yeah, he is.

2:47:35He is. No. Wait, so you're rooting for the Texans? If you're good contact. Yeah. Texans and Broncos. I'm going to put the biggest bet of my year, calendar year, on the Patriots again this weekend. Let's go. It's the ultimate emotional hedge spot for me. Just keep stacking money. Yeah. Yeah. Worst case scenario, I lose my – I would gladly pay that much money for the Patriots to lose. Well, yeah, then you could bet$40 ,000 on the Patriots next week.

2:48:05yeah or you could just bet them right now to win the afc championship but if i bet 40 000 on the patriots next week and the patriots lose then i owe draft kings 40 000 instead of you enemy of my enemy yeah is draft kings the enemy of you bad that's bad analogy yeah yeah i think the thing is my friend you're not thinking about I would rather pay DraftKings$40 ,000 than pay you$40 ,000. You're such a piece of shit for getting the number in Punk's face. We were one away from just an all-time vibes moment for the whole crew. Bad guy. Bad guy. Winners win. Boom. Bad guy. Boom. Winners win. You are winning football.

2:48:46Love you guys. Oh, hang on. I didn't look up birthdays. Stall. Hold. Stall. Memes. Do some ad lib. Dante Moore. Didn't want to go to the Jets. So he's back in Oregon We didn't talk about that But I'm talking about it now It's okay I think it's going to be good for the Jets Don't have a quarterback Don't have a defense Have one wide receiver But you got so many picks We have a ton of picks We have so many picks I go to sleep every night Just thinking how to rebuild the Jets And it's just never going to work Every scenario just comes back to losses Happy birthday to Lin-Manuel Miranda And Aaliyah RIP.

2:49:28Love you guys.

2:49:59Thank you.
